The Dom Tower, also known as Domtoren in Dutch, is a Gothic church tower standing at 95 meters high with a 17th-century carillon and offers panoramic views. It is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands at 112.32 meters high and was originally part of the city's cathedral, which was never completed. Visitors can take guided tours to climb its 465 steps, explore giant bells, and learn about its history.
Great guide tour, consider 1h in total to climb up and go down, eat and or drink before the tour starts as no belongings are allowed in (can be left in a locker for free). Not made for light hearted people, first floor is ok to access but after that, very narrow turning stairs. Up to 465 stairs to climb and incredible views on last floor.
Loic B — Google review
It’s a well organized tour. The steps could be a bit slippery. The last steps are a bit challenging as there are many to climb in a single go. They also get very narrow at the end. The views, to be frank, are nothing to brag about- so don’t go just for the view and since the barricades are metallic and not of glass or clear plastic, you cannot get good pictures. Anyway it was exhilarating because of the cool breeze at the top.
Priyanka G — Google review
Definitely worth the effort climbing up to the top of the tower. Guide is in both Dutch and English. Almost 500 steps single trip and the staircase is getting narrower and narrower as moving towards the top. Be prepared for shaky legs after coming down ...
Cathy L — Google review
Had a great tour here. We bought tickets in advance and everything was very smooth. There are a lot of stairs and many spiral which does get a bit warm, but is a cool experience and learned some interesting history. Great views and very good tour guides who are able to provide the tour and answer questions in Dutch and English.
Jaime G — Google review
This is one of the recommended activities to do in Utrecht. It is exhilarating when you get to the top but you need to climb 463 steps with 4 stops to get there. The last stretch was most difficult because it was 150 steps at once and towards the top it got much narrower so for the claustrophobic folks, take note. Otherwise its a nice feeling to get to the top and get some photos though the barb wire can pose a challenge to getting wonderful photos.
Mary — Google review
Utrecht is a small, charming and very vibrant city. I just stayed one day but had an amazing experience and will definitely go again. Utrecht has so many things to offer from historical buildings and museums to good shopping and great diversity of food places.
Tamara S — Google review
This is a place you should visit in Utrecht provided you can take the significant climb up the stairs. The view is certainty worth it. You have to book a tour, which does add to the experience and our guide was friendly and informative. The tour was presented in Dutch and English. The start point is in a shop nearby so make sure you read the information carefully.
Dan W — Google review
You need to buy the ticket at winkel van Utrecht. It is 14.5 euro. There are 452 step of stairs to climb to 112m. There will be 3 breaks in between, so it is not too hard. But it may not be for everyone. At the top, there is a good view but it is hard to take any good photo as it is surrounded by metal rail guards or mesh. The bells are stunting. When there are festivals there will be punch playing piano. The painoist will sit in between the bells to play with fist.

Museum Speelklok, also known as the Musical Clock Museum, is a unique and popular tourist attraction in Utrecht. Established in 1956, the museum houses a fascinating collection of self-playing musical instruments ranging from music boxes to barrel organs and pianolas. Visitors can explore hands-on and interactive displays showcasing mechanical musical instruments from the 18th century to the present day. The museum also features domestic instruments such as tiny music boxes and massive fair organs that are still functional.
Fantastic museum! Do take the tour as you get to see many more of the music boxes in action this way. After or before the tour you can wander around on your own. Most tours are in Dutch and English as are most signs. They also have a nice cafe next to the gift shop.
Tim O — Google review
Amazing museum. Not very big but worth visiting. Specially the tour is highly recommend. They give it in both languages, English and Dutch. The museum staffs are very friendly. There are a lot of collection on musical items, so if you are interested it can take you half a day easily to have all reasonably covered. I specially liked the exposition part. Lot to see and learn.
Nirupam B — Google review
Wonderful collection of autoplaying music equipments including huge ones like organs, small ones like music boxes, classical ones like piano and even an equipment with three violins. There are also rooms showing the mechanical mechanism on how the autoplaying works. Very interesting museum, I will visit again and take my family too.
Chen L — Google review
A truly charming and unique museum! 🎶 The highlight was definitely the guided tour. Our guide was fantastic: knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about the instruments. Hearing the clocks, organs, and music boxes come to life was magical! The museum is beautifully set in an old church, and there are plenty of interactive exhibits for both kids and adults. Everything is well organized, and the staff are super friendly. It’s right in the city center, easy to reach, and there’s a cozy café for a break after exploring. Highly recommend spending at least a couple of hours here. It’s joyful experience full of music and history!
Kampa G — Google review
This was such a cool museum, especially for music lovers who enjoy the more unique aspects of musical instruments / machines! It definitely stands out since it is such a specific, quirky type of subject, and this was a perfect way to end my stay in the Netherlands after frequenting more traditional museums. It definitely shows that craving to have music in every shape, way, and form. The guided tour was fabulous. I thank my tour guide at noon on August 10, 2025, who translated to English only for me at first!). He also had a great dry sense of humor. After the tour, I walked around more and read many of the placards. It's amazing to see what people could do technologically speaking...all for the benefit of bringing great spirit and music into this world. It's beautiful to think that even though the creators of these mechanisms are long gone, they seem to come back to life every time a tune from their design is played.
Ilana M — Google review
Beautiful museum that has several objects on display that concern "street music". Various sizes for different types, with even automatic devices that make the visit fun!
Ma. F — Google review
Amazing museum filled with playing instruments sized from very small and beautiful to absolutely enormous ballroom machines. We had a guided tour which I recommend to get to know history behind the machines and how they were used. There’s a little suprise for Johnny Cash fans. You can spend there half an hour or two hours if you want to explore other exibitions.
Marta ( — Google review
They give a guided tour in both Dutch and English together. It’s a short guided tour of about 30 mins, where the various organs are played after which you are free to visit rest of the museum. The collection of organs is large varying from the tiny to the mightiest sizes. You can also get an understanding of how these work through some practical demonstrations. There is also a 10 minute movie which is in Dutch with English subtitles which gives a good overview.

Castle De Haar, located about 15 km from the center of Utrecht, is a 19th-century medieval-style palace with landscaped gardens that host regular fairs and events. It is the largest castle in the Netherlands and is sumptuously furnished.
Buy your tickets in advance. Really cool place to visit, but don't go expecting an authentic medieval castle, there's has ga lot of renovation and modernization that take away from that aspect, but overall this is still a really great exhibit. Still plenty of history within the walls, I just question the walls themselves. Great displays, lots of artifacts, plenty of rooms, the gardens are wonderful, even the restaurant is solid for a quick bite. Highly recommend bringing the family, plenty of nice places to take family photos in the gardens.
Scott — Google review
Omg amazing Beautiful This place is like a fairytale You have to walk 20 mins from the bus or there’s a car park or you can ride a bike There are lockers in the castle. You can’t bring in a bag or jacket. It’s very warm inside anyway. There’s not really any vegan food options Only like a juice But the gardens would be a cute location for a picnic There’s deer So cute
Rachel R — Google review
Great castle with loads of artifact to be seen, you can get a real feel for how the people were living at the time. Beautiful art and luxurious ceilings, windows and loving quarters. Also has a outside maze, deerpen and parc like surroundings to roam through.
SGP V — Google review
A very beautiful castle around 1 hr from amsterdam. 2.5 hrs is a comfortable time to spend here. First you can visit the interior of the castle to see the majestic rooms and the old furnitures, which takes around 1 hr. Then you can explore the surroing gardens, cannal, maze etc, take beautiful pictures around the castle. There are cafes in the castel which serve good snacks at reasonable prices. Tip - No cash payments are accepted anywhere in the castle - ticket counter, gift shop or cafes. Carry your bank cards with you Public transport is very convenient to use to reach the castle, although the nearest bus stop is around 1.5 km away from the castle - where you can either walk or rent a bicycle.
Dr. K — Google review
To visit the Kasteel de Haar it’s an unique experience. It’s very well preserved and organised, with explanations of the rooms and spaces in multiple languages. My only critic concerns the amount of people that was inside at the same time. It was extremely crowded what made hard to properly appreciate the place. The gardens are also very well taken care of and the flowers are beautiful. Thank you for the experience!
Marta M — Google review
Castle De Haar is absolutely stunning — a truly magnificent and beautifully preserved castle. The interiors are richly decorated with exquisite furniture, artwork, and tapestries that give a real sense of how the nobility once lived. The castle grounds are just as impressive, with manicured gardens, old trees, and romantic walking paths. It's the largest castle in the Netherlands and definitely worth a visit. A perfect mix of history, architecture, and elegance. Highly recommended!
Peter J — Google review
The castle and grounds were stunning. They were easy to get to, and a bus stop was outside. I would advise wearing comfortable shoes. The grounds are spectacular. They have a deer park and a reasonably priced cafe there.
Stacy — Google review
It is one of the best castles I've ever seen—it's preserved remarkably well and definitely worth visiting. There's so much history and so many memories embedded in its walls, but you have to spend a good amount of time there to truly understand and feel the essence of the place.

Step into the past at The Railway Museum in Utrecht, a captivating interactive museum located in a beautifully restored 19th-century train station. This national railway museum offers an immersive experience for visitors of all ages, showcasing the rich history of rail travel in the Netherlands. From historical trains and tram systems to operational workshops and theatrical presentations, the museum provides a comprehensive look at the evolution of transportation throughout the years.
A perfect place to spend half day. Many types of train, old and new, some of them you can walk inside. There is a place to eat some snacks, coffee etc. plus a theater and few more experiences. A great place for every age.100% recommended.

🚂 The Railway Museum in the Netherlands turned out to be much more impressive than I expected. Walking among the historic trains and steam locomotives felt like traveling back in time. Thanks to the interactive areas, you’re not just looking, you’re actually experiencing. For photography lovers, there are countless amazing shots to capture! It’s also perfect for families; children especially enjoy the train simulators and the little train ride. Since it’s close to Utrecht city center, getting there is very easy. In short, it’s both fun and educational. I definitely recommend it
Ugurcan A — Google review
Very nice museum, for both railway passionate and casual visitors. Very good for kids and families as well, however not very accessible for wheelchairs and strollers (for babies, consider a carrier). We loved everything about it, but would have appreciated some English descriptions, that were unfortunately missing. Will go back!
Daniele O — Google review
Such a cool place to visit with children of any age and even without. 🤓 Outside there’s a playground and you can also grab something to eat&drink. You can spend a full day here and not get bored.
Anamaria O — Google review
If visiting on a Museum card, entry is free. Irrespective of the slot booked, you can enter the museum. Must pay 7.50€ for the car parking, separately. The museum itself is so beautiful with the old and new trains placed inside. You can book in advance for the birthdays and events inside one of these trains. 😊 Kids and adults would love the museum if interested in trains. Find more information on the trains and TCs with the digital screens. Mini figurines placed through out to show the history of the trains. Trains placed outdoors and can visit an office of the ticket collector. There is a small theater play inside, which we missed 3 times. A cafeteria is available where multiple options available including, Burger & Fries which were amazing. A bit expensive, but super tasty. Toilets were fun to visit as they were all themed right from the entrance toilet to the toilets inside the museum. Recommend at least 4 - 5 to cover all the spots inside the museum.
Saikiran M — Google review
My new favourite place. It's unfair to compare railway museums but this is the best one I have found so far. Gives the complete history of the railways in the Netherlands. Examples of old and new rolling stock. RECOMMEND ARRIVING BY RAIL - take a train to Utrecht Maliebaan station to avoid the expensive car parks (both on site and on street).
Max E — Google review
It's a great museum, interesting for adults and children alike, where everyone can have a lot of fun. There are many train carriages in perfect condition, and at Christmas they set up an ice rink. Highly recommended.

There are many fun exhibitions in the museum. Make sure to check out Trial by Fire and the Great Discovery. Those are excellent for kids and adults!

Utrecht Botanic Gardens, part of Utrecht University, have been welcoming visitors since 1639. Situated on the outskirts of the city, these gardens offer a peaceful retreat with diverse attractions. From a rock garden to bird-filled woods and a tropical greenhouse showcasing vibrant butterflies, there's something for every nature enthusiast.
We went end of May, on a cloudy but warm day. It was extremely beautiful. It has a very nice road to walk for an hour near the water, and the garden was overal very pretty. The butterfly closure was also exceptional, with very aesthetically astonishing butterflies.
Fatemeh M — Google review
A very peaceful and well-kept garden in Utrecht. I enjoyed walking through the different sections, especially the tropical greenhouse. What I liked the most was the large number of butterflies—really beautiful to watch and very calming. Perfect place to relax, slow down, and enjoy nature
AJay S — Google review
These gardens are amazing, brought my partner here whilst visiting Utrecht as she is a keen gardener, and she loved it. The site is huge, you can easily spend a few hours just wandering around outside looking at the collection. There are areas that hold similar types of plants, but they are laid out in such a way you can easily see them all. The tropical greenhouse was fascinating, and the butterfly house contains some really beautiful specimens. Entry was 10 euros each, this was an absolute bargain, worth every penny. If gardening and botany is your thing, you will definitely enjoy a visit here.
Daniel M — Google review
We visited the Botanical Gardens on a Sunday and had such a lovely time. There weren’t many people, so it felt calm and peaceful as we walked around exploring the different areas. Even though it’s autumn and there aren’t many flowers in bloom, the autumn colors of the trees and plants were absolutely beautiful. The indoor gardens are really nice and full of interesting tropical and desert plants and the butterfly garden was a real highlight, with butterflies flying freely all around us. After exploring, we had lunch at the café and enjoyed a delicious apple pie while sitting outside overlooking the gardens, a perfect way to end our visit! The gardens are part of Utrecht University, located on the historic Fort Hoofddijk, which adds a unique atmosphere to the place. It’s very well maintained, educational, and relaxing perfect for a weekend outing, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a quiet escape in Utrecht.
Duangrat W — Google review
AMAZING!! We loved it here. So much to see, so many benches to sit on as we basked in the beauty. Would definitely love to come back, again and again. Friendly staff, peaceful location, glorious place! Also card payment only.

Great place to spend some time to wind down from studies and work. The gardens are well maintained and provide some interesting insights into anything flora related. When visiting Utrecht Science Park you should definitely visit this place as well. Such a shame it is closed during the colder months :(
Koen T — Google review
You can walk around the park and enjoy different flowers & plants in a sunny day; or pass through greenhouse to enjoy exotic tropic plants. Make sure you will also visit the butterfly house to embrace all these little beautiful creatures flying & dancing around you. With museum card or friend lottery card, this botanic garden is free. Sometimes there is a flower market which allows you to buy plants.

KidZcity in Utrecht is a modern indoor venue designed for children, offering a variety of unique and colorful play areas as well as an eatery. Unlike other indoor playgrounds, KidZcity stands out with its different and diverse playground equipment along with several small attractions. It's considered one of the largest indoor playgrounds in Benelux, providing ample space and numerous activities for kids aged 6 to 10.
Perfect for a rainy day. Our kids 6-11yo had a blast! They recommend reservation, lots of fun for hours! Food court burgers were bland, otherwise perfect. Friendly staff <3

Nice place for kids and adults to easily spend 4-5 hours. Kids have lots of fun!
Saravanan G — Google review
It’s an indoor playground plus😉. It has the normal play areas and on top of that a few rides you can go on for an unlimited amount of times. Such as, bumper cars, laser game, 2 carousels and shooting balls. Besides that there is a food court and ample seating areas close to the attractions. I will definitely be coming back considering the kids had a great time!
Lionel P — Google review
Good play zone for kids. Parking nearby.
ABHAY K — Google review
This is one of the largest indoor children's parks, with numerous attractions. It is easily accessible by public transport, as well as by car. The staff is nice and friendly, and there is a good food court, clean restrooms, and locker facilities. We've been here several times, and the kids always have a good time and great fun. It's very busy during school holidays and on weekends. Before visiting, you can make a reservation, but tickets can be purchased at reception or with vouchers bought from NL Korting websites. If they charge half the price for adults, it will be more convenient for the parents to visit for birthday parties because all parents who come with children don't use the attractions here, and they may think it a bit expensive to visit here, and they may avoid even birthday parties that are held here. I had a personal experience when I planned to have my kid's birthday party here, and the parents were not interested in coming here since they couldn't freely wait here. As a result, I can't give it five star rating.
Manivannan K — Google review
This is a great indoor playground, but extremely expensive! I have to start by saying it's very clean, the staff was very nice and pleasant and we (family of 4, 2 adults and kids 6 and 11) did enjoy ourselves very much. But it's definitely not worth 56 eu for two hours my kids spend there and we sat and looked at them running around.
Inna Y — Google review
A really good indoor fairground. Quite small but enough for kids under the age of 12 all the way down to 1 year olds. They even have a lazer game section.
Alwi S — Google review
It’s fantastic place for kids bday party, I would say from ages of 6 till 9:/10 would enjoy/benefit the most. It’s one of the biggest indoor playground in Benelux. Very spacious with lots of activities. If kids are too young, it’s impossible to keep on eye on everyone. Also a 5 year old and younger would find half of the activities too scary. Of course there are fun things for them to do that’s more age appropriate, but I wouldn’t pay the full price for it. Good to note that it’s a place that also adult need to pay to enter, unlike many other places like Play-in, Ballorig or monkey town which adults are for free. Drinks and food are very pricy if you are having a party, they don’t offer like the big water jar with lemonade like their other places. But apparently it’s allowed to bring in own drinks and food there, which other places not. I wasn’t aware either so we end up paying so much for the drinks. Overall all kids we brought to the party enjoyed a lot, especially the laser gaming, carting & the mega slides. Great fun.

Wilhelminapark, located to the south-east of the city center, is a delightful destination featuring a beautiful lake, charming fountains, and captivating sculptures. In contrast, Griftpark offers a unique allure as it has been transformed from a former rubbish dump into an intriguing landscaped space. Additionally, stumbling upon impromptu high-quality gigs by the canal during sunset adds to the park's enchanting atmosphere.

Situated on the picturesque banks of the Stadsbuitengracht in Utrecht, Sonnenborgh Observatory is a 19th-century observatory that was once a significant fortification of the city. It houses three telescopes and offers astronomy exhibitions and stargazing nights. The observatory provides educational displays dedicated to astronomy and allows visitors to peer through giant telescopes during specific times of the week.
Amazing observatory! Great place to visit if you are interested in astronomy. The collection is mainly focused on solar astrophysics and the important role that the university of Utrecht played in this. The old observatory is build on a bastion (defense work) which you can look at below. Also there used to be a botanical garden at the top. There are many nice telescopes in the observatory and there is a very nice library. On Sunday at 14:00 and 15:30 you can look through the solar telescopes. The museum accepts museumcard.

Loved it, wish there was an English tour walking us through the history and science discoveries of it. The climate audio tour was a bit for the younger-aged, but the perspective of migratory birds through the buckets and why their ecosystem population monitoring is important was an awesome point. I wish there was a bigger gift store and cafe associated, but the lecture hall was nice to site and watch the video through too.

An observatory and museum, 2 in 1 function for astronomical sciences education. Located in the middle of Zochers Park. We should walk a little from the nearest street. It was so lonesome in the weekday afternoon, then I could explored the facilities freely just by myself! The domed observatories here acclaimed as one of the oldest in Netherlands, built since 15 century. However, Sonnenborgh as a volunteering organisation focuses more on science education rather than research. There are plenty of workshop and experiments in general sciences, not only astronomy. Visitors no need to wait for a tour guide, they can use the interactive tablet lended by the staff. Unfortunately the telescopes only open for public observation at certain time like in Sunday (the night session period open in October-March). As a historical building for astronomy development, I didn't expect that Sonnenborgh have no connection with the oldest observatory in Indonesia which built by the Dutch people too (according to the volunteer staff in charge). Yet, for an ordinary visitors who are beginners in astronomy, this place is so wonderful and informative. You can buy some astronomical stuffs/merchandise too before leave.

Very interesting observatory with friendly stuff. Unfortunately only limited things to see. Around am hour should be good enough.

Awesome observatory!! Loved it. The history. For stargazing, you need to book a month in advance (check the website). For museum, tickets are available all the time. They also provide a handy tablet for tour which is included in the ticket. Even the visually disabled people can visit. They provide a guide.

Place was cool. Lady at the front desk treated my son and I markedly different than she treated the Dutch family in front of us. Warm and smiley with that family. Straight face and business like with us, telling my 9-year-old son “Could you put that back?” when he had grabbed an astronaut pen. So I said, “Hey, I’ll buy the pen.” Because like… they are for sale. Just cold. And rude. Bad start to our time there.
Leslie G — Google review
Cosy museum. On Sundays they do observing of the sun. Especially worthwhile if it’s sunny weather. They have a lovely set of telescopes. And a beautiful mechanical planetarium. You can get a tablet that has information and interactive apps in the museum. The volunteers are very enthusiastic and love to answer all your questions. On rainy days they offer a planetarium show in a half dome where they project the night sky. A very nice experience as well. If you have a museum card you can just walk in!

Small but very informative museum located in a quiet park not far from the other museums. A must visit if you're keen on astronomy - they've got a huge telescope!

The Nijntje Museum, also known as the Miffy Museum, is a vibrant and interactive attraction located in Utrecht, Netherlands. Spanning over 1,500 m2, this museum is designed specifically for young visitors and offers a playful and hands-on experience.
Absolutely adorable and surprisingly fun — even for adults! I went with my girlfriend, and we had such a great time. Yes, it’s clearly designed for kids, but honestly? It was interactive, cozy, and so charming that we couldn’t stop smiling. Everything is super cute and well thought out — perfect for photos and playful moments together. If you’re a Miffy fan or just looking for something wholesome and light-hearted, go! Don’t let the “for kids” comments stop you. We loved every second of it.
Ceylin A — Google review
It is ideal for children below 4 years old. It’s a cute place but very noisy with other smaller children screaming or fighting for toys to play. Would be nice to go for a date with a child on less crowded time. Get tickets in advance, as there was no ticket available on the date or at the museum
Sonoko K — Google review
So cute, had so much fun here! It’s for kids but adults who love Nijntje can have fun here too and great to take pictures :)
Emi — Google review
There are many toys, suitable for children under 5 years old. You can also buy Miffy souvenirs across the street (enter the Central Museum, then turn left).
Sandy K — Google review
An interesting place for any Miffy fan at heart. The space is thoughtfully designed for young children to learn through play, using the symbolic presence of the cartoon character to anchor key learning areas such as social-emotional skills and collaboration. Miffy fans will also enjoy shopping at the Miffy-exclusive merchandise store in the adjacent building, which is open to the public without the need to purchase museum tickets. An hour is sufficient for an adult to finish going through the museum.

Cutest place. Even though o am way too old to be going i loved it. So cute! And in the restaurant they have so many nijntje themed food items. I got a coffee and it even had a little nijntje stamp on it. Definitely recommend it, especially if you have kids age 6 or under!

A Magical Morning at the Nijntje (Miffy) Museum in Utrecht We visited the Nijntje Museum on October 8th with our little boy, who is about to turn two, and we must say that after three days in Amsterdam exploring the city, visiting the Rijksmuseum and other points of interest, and even going on a trip to Zaanse Schans, Volendam, and Marken, it was finally time to discover the beautiful city of Utrecht, where we were going to spend the next four days. And what better way to start than by giving our little one a whole morning in a museum that is truly a paradise for children — the Nijntje Museum, also known as the Miffy Museum. We have to admit that the experience could not have been better in every sense. Our son, Adolfo, found there his own world full of wonder and happiness. He enjoyed every one of the different rooms in the building and every activity it offered. He even broke the protocol a little in the projection room on the upper floor by imitating the sound of cows (which made the whole audience burst out laughing) and walking up to the screen to take a closer look at the other animals — Het varken (the pig), for example. But after him, all the other children followed, interacting more closely with the magic projected on the four walls — Boris the bear, the cow, the pigs, the hens with their chicks, and the typical Dutch windmill. All in all, the Nijntje Museum is a magical place for little ones — and for grown-ups too, since we parents were also enchanted by the charm of the place, and by watching our child enjoy himself so much. Without a doubt, I would repeat the experience on my next trip to Utrecht from Gijón, in northern Spain. The Nijntje Museum is a must-see stop if you travel to Utrecht with children — they will find their own little paradise there. An excellent museum, very friendly staff, a lovely café, and a gift shop just across the street where you can bring home a physical souvenir of the visit. But the true memory will stay in your heart forever — because your little one will have been truly happy there.

Cute and honestly really interactive for kids. As an adult, it was nice to walk around. We walked through everything in 10 mins. It’s a bit out of the way from Amsterdam and don’t think it’s worth to go unless you had other things planned around Utrecht. Utrecht is a very nice area and I really enjoyed walking around.

Nature & Parks
Griftpark is a large urban green space located not far from Utrecht city center. It features public art, playgrounds, a skatepark, and a long plant wall. The park has an interesting history as it was landscaped over a former rubbish dump. Visitors can enjoy the wide green lawns alongside ponds for sunbathing and BBQs in the summer. Additionally, there's a cafe and an animal farm where children can pet bunnies, donkeys, or goat kids.
Big park! There’s basketball court, skatepark and many more. Good to just walk, bike and unwind.

Hello, fellow traveler! During sunset, my friend and I visited this place, and it was very nice. The soft glow of lights above the horizon beautifully reflected in the water within the park. It created a nice atmosphere as the sun went down. The grass is thick and very green. It provides a chill spot to lay down and unwind for a while. While it may not be the perfect or the best park in Utrecht, it certainly serves as a wonderful place to relax after a tiring day.
Gorkem G — Google review
Beautiful, great park for everyone. Spacious and well maintained. Quite a lot of parking spaces with charging stations for electric vehicles. But on a good day or peak hours, parking can be very tricky. Sometimes kids and people ride their bikes like madness in there.

A great park with a small pool and animals to see. The café seemed nice, but we didn't go in. Walking around and petting the animals was a welcomed break from the city and complementary, there were hand washing areas throughout the animal section. There's a sensory walk which we did around part I the Ork and you can see produce they're growing.

Molen de Ster, also known as Mill the Star, is an 18th-century wind-driven sawmill located just west of Utrecht's train station. It offers guided tours and demonstrations on Saturdays, allowing visitors to witness traditional Dutch milling techniques in action. The picturesque setting beside a canal adds to its timeless charm, making it a quintessentially Dutch sight. In addition to the mill itself, there is a cozy café open on weekends and occasional events like markets or live music.
Excellent example of an older carpentry. Very well maintained, and the tour guide was very informative. Highly recommended

Canal
Utrecht, a charming city in the Netherlands, is renowned for its picturesque canals, with the Oudegracht (Old Canal) being the most famous. This historic waterway stretches nearly two kilometers through the city center and is lined with former warehouses that have been transformed into vibrant bars, restaurants, and shops.
Lovely walk along the main canal in Utrecht, lots of shops, especially local, and more restaurants closer to the Dome Church.
S D — Google review
Had a walk along the canals, very pittoresk with many beautiful buildings and the church. Many cafe and restaurants along the canals.
Per G — Google review
The Oudegracht, or 'old canal', runs through the center of Utrecht in the Netherlands. It begins in the southeast of the city. Here, the Kromme Rijn (the original main bed of the Rhine) and the Vaartse Rijn (a medieval canal reconnecting Utrecht to the newer main stream of the Rhine, the Lek) meet the original moat of the fortified city, and the Oudegracht leads from there into the city center. The water level of the Rhine in Utrecht fell because of the new dam at Wijk bij Duurstede. Soil was excavated and used to raise the sides of the canal, reducing the risk of flooding. By the time the city's lock system was completed in 1275, the water level was constant, allowing the construction of permanently dry cellars and new quays at water level, hence the typical wharves below street level. Warehouses used to line the canal, but today many of these warehouses have been converted into restaurants and cafes.
Matt E — Google review
A bit crowded, but generally a pleasant experience. The area boasts numerous pubs, pastry shops, and bars with prices for all budgets. For those interested in a water excursion, there are various options available, from tours on one of the many cruises to renting a smaller boat for a more intimate experience. While the area is dotted with historical buildings, it's unfortunate that some of them are inaccessible to visitors. Additionally, popular attractions like the Dom Tower of Utrecht tend to be heavily crowded and, if you don't purchase your tickets at least a day in advance, you have no chance of gaining entry.

Yes, it is a nice statue in honour of Dick Bruna. I know the English name, but the Dutch name is way cooler: Nijntje. I like how Dick Bruna is represented on one side and Nijntje on the other. Though it is weird seeing a mouth underneath the cross. Too bad they placed dumpsters next to it. It smells like rubbish heap. Maybe they should be emptied more often or just replaced.

You will be able to explore the canals of Utrecht on a pedal boat ride with Stromma Utrecht Canal Tours, which is an authorized tour company. You will have to pay an admission fee, but this is well worth it as you get to see many beautiful sights while riding on the boats. The ride takes about 90 minutes and you can go at your own pace so that you can enjoy the views and atmosphere of this Dutch city.
Fantastic canal tour. We rented the small boat for 4 people, and we saw beautiful scenery while sailing through the Utrecht city canals. Very recommended and worth the price, which was not a lot.

Very nice service from the people working at the little office today (19 July). We had some discount cards from vrindenloterij and the guy was so nice to check if they work with them ( they didn’t) but still he made an extra effort to check that for us, we made a reservation for a later moment and when we came back there was a lady who explained everything nice and she was really friendly ☺️ thank you
Angela M — Google review
This pedal boat experience was a mistake for us. There was nothing enjoyable, easy or entertaining about it. My 10-year old child and I rented a Stromma Utrecht paddle boat today and regretted it immediately. Why? It was just way too much work for two people on vacation. We had not been prepared for the *huge amount of physical exertion* required to move and steer these boats. We made it through 1/3 of the route, and then decided to turn back, as we were already sweaty, stressed and physically wasted from pedaling and steering of the boat. It was a very hot day. I do not recommend this experience to anyone, really, but if you must give it a try, you should consider yourself Strong, Energized, and on the Tall side. This is necessary because the seats on the boats do not adjust, and short-legged people will be challenged to reach the pedals and get traction. Steering the boats is also arduous and requires arm strength. Combined with the hard pedaling, it made for an unpleasant experience in a beautiful place. And lastly, the route map that is on the boat was unhelpful, as it was faded and impossible to read. It would be wonderful if the company revised and replaced them. The employee who helped us today was both nice and professional, and did her best to provide service. Still, she cannot control the quality of the boats or of the experience you will have, once you are out on your own. In summary, I discourage you from spending money on this pedal boat tour. The rental kayaks we saw (different company) looked like a much better time.

They are open April, May, June, September and October from Wednesday until Sunday 10h00-18h00. Daily in July and August. Closed November, December, January and February. This way you are never disappointed...

Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out. We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city. We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.

Pannenkoekenbakkerij De Muntkelder is a charming and cozy restaurant located in a characteristic building, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed lunch, a casual drink, or a delightful dinner. It offers traditional Dutch pancakes with various toppings, including options for vegans and those who prefer gluten-free choices. Situated in the city center near the canals, this restaurant provides a picturesque setting to enjoy delicious pancakes while taking in the beautiful view.
I came to this place because a friend recommended it to me. It was pretty good, with a fast and attentive service. I had the pancake with bacon and cheese, it was huge and delicious, i am definitely returning on my next visit to Utrecht. The place is not expensive and has a great outdoor view next to the river. Fun fact, the toilet sink is very tall.
Jaime C — Google review
Dutch pancakes served fresh along the vibey canals of Utrecht. Being built alongside the water and being under the ground essentially gives the location a cozy atmosphere with a somewhat unique view and look. The sizes of the pancakes are large and filling and they are made fresh and taste good. You can select from a great variety of sweet and savory as well as meaty and vegetarian styled pancakes as well. However, they are too lazy to split bills, they can, but according to them «we just don’t do that here» which is funny when their system can do it and it doesn’t take long either. It was said with a generic, android like and snappy attitude too. Cringe.
Anders W — Google review
The pancake was delicious, the Dame Blanch ice cream gigantic and the staff very friendly. Great terrace on the old canal! Recommended and I will be back 👌🏻

We were confused by the description of the half/half options on the menu, it's not very clear and even after explanation from the server we ended up paying more than we expected. Pretty sure our server was ill as he was clearing his sinuses regularly. He also handled our cutlery from the wrong end. But otherwise quite friendly. The appeltaart wasn't the best we had in the Netherlands but it did come with a scoop of delicious cinnamon ice cream which elevated the dessert. Decent bathroom. Music was at an appropriate volume.

Miffy's Traffic Light is a famous landmark in Utrecht, dedicated to the beloved Dutch bunny created by Dick Bruna. This unique traffic light features Miffy as the one who regulates the traffic, turning red or green at a rainbow-colored pedestrian crossing in the city center. As a tribute to Miffy's hometown, this adorable traffic light allows pedestrians to take a walk with her when the lights go green.
In the heart of Utrecht, the Miffy Traffic Light (or Nijntje stoplicht) offers a charming tribute to the city’s most beloved character. Created by Dutch artist Dick Bruna, who lived and worked in Utrecht, Miffy has become a worldwide icon in children’s literature. At a crossing near the Vredenburgviaduct, just minutes from the central station, pedestrians are greeted not by a standard figure but by the silhouette of Miffy, signaling when it’s safe to cross. The surrounding rainbow-painted path adds to the whimsy, making it a favorite stop for families and fans alike. Though small, the traffic light captures the playful spirit of Utrecht and Bruna’s legacy. Visitors often describe it as a delightful and heartwarming surprise, one of those little details that makes the city so special. Nearby, the Miffy Museum and Centraal Museum offer even more ways to explore her story. My kids loved the surprise and were super excited to see it.

It’s miffy. It’s easy to take a pic of the red one as the lights take ages but harder for the green as you have to cross the road
Margo R — Google review
It’s a cute little traffic light at the crossroad. I thought all four sides would have the Miffy sign turns out only one side got this.

I’ve never had such a positive experience crossing the road before. Very few words can describe the feeling you get from this traffic light. The young Miffy could teach us all a lesson about road safety as she seems to have it all worked out. Fantastic work Miffy, you are wise beyond your years. I gave this must see tourist destination 4 stars as the only suggestion I could make is adding a better sound experience for those who are visually impaired and cannot experience the joy of being helped by such a stupendous little bunny!

Down Under, located on the outskirts of Utrecht in Nieuwegein, is a waterpark that offers a variety of watersports activities such as wakeboarding, waterskiing, and bodyboarding. The park is popular for its adventurous sports like water boarding and volleyball. Visitors can enjoy a nice group dinner at the restaurant which has a premium feel but also exudes a low-end party vibe. We went here for lunch. Loved the place ambience, location and service. Lovely beach club, with some nice wine. Yet the Classic Club and Smokey Salmon bagel were made with stale bread. Had an amazing experience here. Did the first indoor sky dive of my life. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Great for having fun before and also after the dive. We also had things to eat and drink afterwards here. Great place also for kids and birthday celebrations. Our instructor Menno was the best, very friendly and professional guy. Had a great time learning from him.

It took 2 years to finally use my gift voucher (purely my circumstances didn't allow me to go), and it was an amazing experience! Great instructors and huge fun experiencing skydiving even for those who would never jump out of an airplane (Yeah, that's me). 100% safe and still pumping a little adrenaline at the same Time. 100% recommended!
Gergely V — Google review
The staff was very friendly and helpful, we felt very safe and the instructions were very clear; I had 3 falls, but I would definitely recommend getting more as they only take 1 minute each. Overall the experience was great but it's a bit too expensive
Primăvăruș D — Google review
Amazing experience. 10/10. I recommend it and would definitely do it again The instructors are top notch and they will give you tips and instructions all the time. Hopefully, the tunnel will help me with my actual free fall 😄

Excellent experience. Perfect place/activity for action lovers. After having some trouble by online booking, solved through phone call by the best attitude on behalf the girls at the entry desk. Thanks for that! Finally the activity is amazing. Explanation provided by the instructor ( Niels in my case) and the filling on flying, all the best! Going back soon!

What an experience! I was quite anxious about the whole thing but the staff was so kind and really made me feel at ease. Shout out to Kevin as he really made me feel like I was in safe hands. After the briefing the nerves slowly went away and I absolutely LOVED the experience! Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to jump out of a plane, but for now this was a great way to feel like you're flying.

Castellum Hoge Woerd is a modern reconstruction of a Roman fortress, featuring an exhibition of Roman artifacts found in the area. The site includes a museum, farm, theater, cafe, and outdoor spaces. Visitors can explore the region's history from prehistoric times to the present day with a focus on Roman times. The museum offers free entry and staff are available to provide additional information. Families will find plenty of activities for children including a playground and animals to interact with.
Amazing!!! Free and fun for all ages. The Roman boat and associated exhibits are absolutely world class and worth the stop alone, but they also have a full additional history museum, kids activities, and of course the cool castle ramparts to explore (and did I mention, farm animals?) Free parking too (it's a bit of a walk) and friendly staff. Caveat- info displays are almost all in Dutch, so we had to use google lens to translate to English.

Great exhibit, free entrance. Cafe has an awesome beer selection! Lunch or dinner is great here. Very reasonable prices. Bring your kids in the summer with outdoor seating while you keep an eye on them through the big glass windows. Service can be slow, not very attentive. Open kitchen with a big gas furnace for fresh pizzas. Dogs welcome too, and nice. Recommended!

We stopped here for a bite to eat and to visit this museum that was specifically built for the Roman boat and artefacts that were found in Leidsche Rijn. I really enjoyed the museum and also the lunchroom. The food was very good and the staff were friendly

Super visit with kids A lot of think to learn about Roman life there And animals to pet at the end of the visit

Castellum Hoge Woerd is a castellum build on the real Roman castellum that was here more then 2000 years ago. The real castellum is still safe under the ground. Their showpiece is an original Roman boat. This is a perfect day out with children. There are lots of activities, a playground, space to run around, animals to cuddle and lots and lots to see and learn. We had a great day.

Really nice museum, what an impressive way to present the roman ship on the glass surface, it lookslike is on the water surface again. Just 20 min by bicycle from the center of Utrecht.

Exhibit
If you find yourself wandering through the charming streets of Utrecht, make sure to carve out some time for "Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience." This captivating exhibition offers a unique opportunity to delve into the life and artistry of Vincent van Gogh through innovative audiovisual techniques. Visitors can enjoy an expansive interior that beautifully showcases his work while immersing themselves in a creative atmosphere enhanced by music.
Amazing experience and everyone should do the VR. Only spoilt slightly by screaming children being allowed to run around!
Vanessa S — Google review
I really love Van Gogh's art, and I was excited to attend this exhibition. I can't say that everything was perfect, but it wasn't entirely bad either. We really enjoyed the interior, which had plenty of space and was interesting and beautiful. However, I believe that the souvenirs could have been of better quality and more diverse than what was presented.
Viktoria E — Google review
I don't understand the negative reviews, it's a very nice experience at a decent price. The aim of immersive is not to accurately zoom in every stroke with perfect definition, but to let the users feel part of the painting, and for that purpose this place totally delivered. I enjoyed the expo, the interactive videos, the music. You can quickly install their app and you'll have different languages available. The only 'complain' the QR codes are placed too high for short to average length people, so I had to jump sometimes to catch them, could have been placed more accessible. The VR experience costs 3€ more and it was my favorite part, I absolutely recommend it!
Violeta D — Google review
A cool project, well-used audiovisual techniques, giving the opportunity to look at the work of the outstanding artist Vincent van Gogh from a different perspective.
Łukasz Ł — Google review
I found it quite commercial, very small, and not particularly special. It definitely isn’t worth the price. I would instead recommend visiting the Van Gogh Museum, which is absolutely fantastic—original, and a far more pleasant experience.
Kiavash S — Google review
Such a creative (and immersive) way to experience Van Gogh’s beautiful art and learn more about his life. The music added a great feel to it all. Worth a visit!
Erwin A — Google review
For the few Euro extra I recommend taking the VIP ticket. The included VR experience is worth it and let's you walk the world of van Gogh the way he saw it. Loved it!

The Food Club is a cozy and relaxed restaurant committed to providing an incredible, worry-free experience. Located on the Amsterdamsestraatweg near Utrecht Zuilen train station, it offers a 100% gluten-free menu with options for vegans, vegetarians, and those with dairy allergies. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with outdoor seating available. Customers rave about the crispy fries served in a paper cone while enjoying the view of passing boats.
Such amazing service and care! If you are gluten free and coeliac (celiac) this is a must visit. Or if you like great food in a lovely setting and aren’t gluten free, this is still an amazing restaurant. I went with 4 others who weren’t gluten free and they didn’t know the difference. Everything is gluten free and they do gluten free beer too. Could’ve stayed all day. Thank you!

Great place to have a worry-free gluten free lunch (and dinner). Very tasty dishes, non gf friends didn't even notice it was gluten free. Staff is wonderful and cheerful. The desert tasting platter to share is amazing. Doggy bag was very welcome. Oh and good coffee as well.

It was an amazing experience! Had a nice chat with the people and modern scenery. Started off with some delicious bread and home-smoked butter (tasted like eating a barbecue- 100% recommend) and for main had the meat of the day, which was steak with crispy roast potatoes and homecooked sausage. Family had some amazing chicken and a delicious Korean dish. For sides had pigs in blankets (my exact reaction was MMMMMMM) and rainbow 'Party Fries'. There was a huge variety of desserts ranging from rocky road to Oreo cake! Would recommend everything to anyone anywhere! 😋
Paul H — Google review
If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was beyond disappointing—bland, poorly cooked, and completely lacking in any redeeming qualities. But what really set this place apart (in the worst way possible) was the service. The person serving us—was shockingly rude, dismissive, and seemed genuinely irritated by our presence. No hospitality, no basic manners, just pure arrogance. It felt like we were inconveniencing them by daring to eat at their establishment. With so many great restaurants around, there’s absolutely no reason to waste your time or money here. Avoid at all costs.
Adithya V — Google review
We took poke bowls. The portion was way too little compared to the cost of the plate. Wouldn't recommend if you are hungry. The waitress was very friendly and the environment cozy enough.

Delicious, fresh, local, and really well priced. Excellent coffee and cool events during the month. Warning: We came and got three dishes thinking it “might” be enough. It was definitely more than enough, and extremely tasty.

Great place for a brunch, a bit expensive but worth every cent. You pay for a well prepared lunch menu, the atmosphere and dishes you wouldn't make at home. If you have about 15€ to spend on your lunch you should visit! (We ate the Norwegian Salmon (great!) And the American breakfast, a well filled plate)

The video arcade Game State Utrecht offers a great way to spend your free time, with games for all ages and types of gamers. You can buy credits for games or exchange tickets for rewards. Grouping up with friends is also possible, but there are limits on how long you can play together.
Liked going to this place. The tickets and deals are slightly expensive. Good experience. Variety of options is available. Worth time pass. You can win tickets, play more games and also claim gifts.
Samia J — Google review
This place is not a great idea, especially if it's busy. We were there on a Thursday afternoon, in the Dutch holiday. It was super busy which caused a LOT of problems for the game hall. Very often the payment card was swiped but the game didn't start. Then there's not enough staff to help you with it. Problems with the wi-fi, they say. Fine, but then get more WiFi for your business, for busy days. Or use the guest WiFi, just think of a solution. The toilets were super gross, very sticky and slimy floor, no idea why. The games are fun, but the frustration of the mishaps and the heat in there was too annoying to really enjoy ourselves. It's also very hot and there seems to be no air care, it's a kind of humid. Really gross and uncomfortable. If your careful about COVID DO NOT GO HERE!!! There are basically no precautions and it doesn't seem to exist here. No one keeps distance, there's no registration, only one place I saw a hand sanitizer that no one uses and everyone touches everything, of course. No masks, nothing. Really pretty scary. It's nice there are games for all ages. We had a group of people with ages 5 to 50 and we all had fun. It's too bad the tickets are paper, takes a lot of extra time and is wasted paper. Cumbersome. But you can theoretically work with the bought card. If the system works, that is...
Tess L — Google review
It's a nice gaming place, with lot many types of gaming options. The staff is friendly and helpful. In the middle of nice market, shops and cafes. We had fun. There's a nice little photo booth inside which I always wanted to have an experience of. Over all a good place.
Pratistha P — Google review
Unlike other Dutch arcades, there is no possibility to purchase "unlimited games" (e.g. for 60 or 90 minutes), so kids will quickly run out of expensive "credits". And why do they use "credits" anyway?? Just to make it difficult to see how much you're really spending, while other arcades show actual "euro" amounts for games and your card. The staff told my 13 year old nephew he wasn't allowed to play a cartoon shooting game because it is only allowed for "18+". Completely ridiculous! And why are there still paper tickets??? Other arcades manage to load the tickets to the card automatically, but at GameState you need to manually feed them back into another machine to load them on your card. What a waste of time and energy! I've never experienced anything like GameState in other arcades!

Car rental agency
If you're planning a trip to Utrecht, you'll find that getting around by car is quite convenient thanks to the city's well-connected highways and plentiful parking options. However, be prepared for potential traffic congestion during peak hours, especially in the bustling city center. For those looking for an affordable transportation solution, SnappCar has been a reliable choice for many travelers over the years. This app excels in facilitating longer journeys outside of the city at reasonable prices.
This was my first time using SnappCar, and it was amazing! The process was smooth, the transaction hassle-free, and it was more affordable than traditional car rental services. I’ll definitely be using it again!
Nick P — Google review
NOT RELIABLE, AVOID! I rented a car together with a friend to get to Belgium and back. On the way back, my friend had to drop me at Charleroi to catch a flight. We stopped one hour from the airport to get food, and when we tried to start the car, it wouldn't even turn the starter motor. After some calls with SnappCar, we could conclude the module that activates it through the app was broken. They couldn't start it, so we had to call a tow truck (also from SnappCar). Initially, they said they would take us back to Den Haag. They came very late, so I had to catch a very expensive Uber to get to the airport. My friend, who was driving, waited, and when the tow truck came, they instead took him to a car service. There, after some time, they concluded it couldn't be fixed. When my friend called SnappCar, they arrogantly said they could at most pay for a train, or for another car in 4 DAYS (and told him he had to pay for accomodation). We had a trunk full of stuff, so the train was not an option. The guys from the service kicked my friend out since they were closing, with all the stuff, on the sidewalk. When he called SnappCar again, they said that he should actually stay with the car until it is fixed (our rental time was already over at that time). We had to call another friend to pick him up, and rent another car, for which we paid ourselves. He eventually got back home at about 4AM (initially, our car broke at around 15:00). Next day, we sent SnappCar an e-mail, explaining we lost a total of around 600 euros because of their broken module, and their solution was to send us a 20 euro gift voucher. This were absolutely amazed my how unprofessional and arrogant they could be. As a final funny note, we also talked with the car's owner. She was very nice and helpful, and also tried to find out what was happening with her car, since she had to honor other rentals the following days. SnappCar actually lied to her that the car was fixed and back in Den Haag, while my friend was next to the car (broken), in Belgium. In the end, she lost money for the next rentals, and we couldn't get any money back. Again, please avoid this company. They are very unprofessional and have shady practices. I prefer to pay double for Sixt or some other serious rental company with proper customer service. Shame on you SnappCar, I will make sure me and all people I know avoid you.
Matei G — Google review
The car I rented broke down for no reason on the side of the highway in Germany. One moment it was working fine, next the power suddenly cut off and wouldn't turn back on. It was terrifying. I had to wait at the roadside for 90 minutes with huge trucks and cars passing close at very high speeds. The tow truck finally came and brought me to a car dealership, and I was then forced to pay €250 out of pocket just to get a taxi to my actual accommodation, which is located in a rural place. SnappCar then said they can provide no help whatsoever and simply have to wait for 3-4 days to see if the car can be fixed. In the meantime, I am completely without a mode of transportation to even purchase food or other basic necessities. SnappCar seems likely to reimburse only a part of the excessive taxi fee I was forced to pay, which means I will have lost a significant amount of money just because the car and service I booked it with failed. I'm now stuck in a rural area with no public transport options and no vehicle with which to do things as basic as buying food for myself. Update: SnappCar's partner informed me that the maximum term for a replacement rental car is 4 working days. I have 9 days left on my trip, all paid already for the SnappCar rental for the full period. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do to resolve this. Update: SnappCar is refusing to refund me for the 4 days I was left stranded completely without a vehicle, providing shoddy excuses to ignore their obligation to refund me. The company is showing gross negligence even verging on fraudulent behavior. Their approach to handling this problem has been dishonest and deeply disappointing.
Jason M — Google review
Between renters it's ok. Some don't even reply back if you send a message. When the owner checks the car and gives their ok and signs off the next step will take 6 days. A 3 day wait till you can request back your deposit and then a max of 3 days for the refund a bit much to keep the money. They want it directly but the other way around will take you max 6 days.
Dee M — Google review
SnappCar is really easy to use and had no issues with finances. Please be careful when dealing with the car when it comes to parking and refueling. This always comes later in the process which you sometimes forget about. All in all, SnappCar is easy to use and supports with me activities which would be more difficult.
Jesse H — Google review
Do not use Snappcar, customer service is non-existent. The owners of the car can claim anything they want and snappcar with side with them without consulting the customer first. A drive of less than 2hours that was meant to cost me €20 ended up costing €60 because the owner claimed i did not fill up the gas and then snappcar gave me a penalty for no reason without even consulting with me. Been trying to get in contact with customer support but they never responded. Also the car i rented had a broken gearbox and the AC was not working but i was afraid to say it in the review because the owner had my deposit so he would look for things to make me pay for it. Save yourself some trouble and use Greenwheels or Check instead.
Mikaella L — Google review
I had a great experience with SnappCar in Amsterdam! The keyless system made everything super easy, and the instructions from the renter were extremely clear. The van was perfect for moving- spacious and easy to drive. I really appreciated how efficient and straightforward the whole process was. Highly recommend SnappCar!
Karola T — Google review
I am very disappointed with my recent experience using Snappcar. We rented a car that was already at 90% fuel when we picked it up, and due to the inaccuracy of the fuel meter it was impossible to refill it to the exact same level without paying for more fuel than we actually used. We made it clear from the beginning that we were more than willing to pay for the percentage of fuel we consumed, but instead of handling the matter fairly, Snappcar instantly sided with the renter — who was rude and overcharging, and applied an additional €25 penalty. Snappcar refused to consider how unreasonable the situation was, despite the fact that their own policy states renters are not entitled to a refund if more fuel is added than used. The lack of understanding, fairness, and support for customers in disputes is extremely disappointing. I would caution others to think twice before using Snappcar, as their dispute resolution clearly favors owners, even when the facts show otherwise.

The café has a huge garden full of vegetables and fruits that are also sold in the accompanying shop. The menu is extensive and offers delicious lunch options, perfect for enjoying on the terrace during sunny days.
Amazing place to relax, enjoy nature and eat a good homemade meal made with local and seasonal ingredients. Come to enjoy the terrace or go for a walk in the shared gardens. The staff is also very friendly and the place full of kid-friendly spots and activities

A really nice hidden gem. The food is decent we tried the lemon and chocolate cakes and a couple of savory dishes and they were perfect. I highly recommend it and we will definitely go there again.

Cute and quiet place just a bit on the edge of Utrecht! Their lunch offerings are delicious and there’s lots of indoor and outdoor seating to indulge in it. It’s all organic and lots of it grown just on the premise 🥗 I don’t like the QR ordering system, where you pay before receiving food and drinks.

We love going to Moestuin. My little granddaughter has always a good time. And, I love their soup.

Unique concept with great products, amazing outdoor space, wonderful for families but also for whoever waits to chill and relax in the green not far from the city. You can pick your veggies by entering a subscription, you can have your party here (wonderful orangerie), you can pick your fresh bouquet, buy some local produce and eco products, they have their own honey and eggs, enjoy the atmosphere or just have a bite and go on with your life!

Swimming pool
The Swimming pool De Krommerijn is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon in the summer. There's a kiddie pool, a large sunbathing lawn, and a bigger swimming pool. There's also a competition pool which opens up for recreational swimming in the summer.
Been coming here every day for a year and absolutely love the pool! Photo is not of Krommerijn but it captures what the fastest lane looks like at peak time :) in summer the water’s a bit grimy in the sense that I had cleaner swims in Utrecht’s canals. There is all kinds of mystery drifting along the bottom in the summer, it was more tolerable in winter.
Kaan Y — Google review
this pool should be super nice, it looks super nice, it is really big, its a great location, but the water seems to always be dirty. i always am seeing hairs in the water when im swimming. it seems like its sandy or dirty on the bottom. and lately when i swim there i end up with ear infections. this doesn't happen at other pools. what gives? why not clean the pool well? sad that it is dirty. i quite like the pool otherwise. but i guess i cannot go there anymore until it is better cleaned.
John A — Google review
The coldest water I have ever experienced...Likely below 24 degrees during 2025 Zwem4daagse period. I'm feeling dead, not kidding. But I had a summer pass so I will go and swim anyway :-(
Ruoxi L — Google review
First and last time. Huge line to enter, later another huge line for the bar, more than 45 min waiting and then they say they dont not have more food to sell anymore. The kids pool was dirty and the big one, cant even swim full of people, its not pleasant. Too full, too much noise and yellow and dry grass without shades. The lockers dont have a key also so you cant save your belongings. Expensive to be in a tuna can. Do not go there, thank me later.
Daniela P — Google review
Big sized swimming pool to use all year round. With a subscription from September through April. From May to August is being exploited by the Utrecht municipality for which a separate subscription,10 times, 25 times or per time entrance can be arranged at the external counter. The changing rooms are convenient, but not very clean.
Alexandros — Google review
cool pool, every summer I go there for a swim with my family, I recommend it!
Elin S — Google review
Excellent, clean facility for kids of all ages! The 50 meter lap pool is inside but only until the walls and roof are folded away. They keep a few lanes reserved for laps even if the other portion is open for fee swim. There is also a kiddie pool, a kids pool, and a water slide. Lots of open areas for laying about and picnics. Grass and beach volleyball courts. A great place to spend a few hours or the whole day. I can't add photos because photography, sadly justified, is not allowed...

Let me introduce to you Jah Nay and Sebastian “Two of the reception team at this gym is truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a friendly hello that immediately makes you feel at ease. She is not only kind but also very attentive, ensuring that every member’s questions are answered and needs are met promptly. Her professionalism, combined with their positive and welcoming attitude, sets the tone for a great workout experience. She gives me towel and protein shake last minute when the gym is almost closed! I was just joking 🙃 but she is offering kindly to me! I always appreciate how she goes the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable and valued….” Sebastian also very kind and helpful! When I started this personal training journey, I felt really insecure in the gym. My main goals were to build muscle, get stronger, and feel more confident during my workouts. And honestly, I achieved so much more than that. My trainer Aida is absolutely amazing. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, always explains the why behind each exercise, and tailored everything specifically to me. Every session felt intentional and focused. She pushed me in all the right ways—never too much, but just enough to help me grow, while making sure I always felt confident and safe. Not once did I leave a session feeling discouraged or like I had failed—even when training to failure was part of the plan. Aida didn’t just help me become physically stronger, but also emotionally stronger. We had so many fun and meaningful conversations—sometimes deep, sometimes full of laughter—that made the time fly by. It never felt like I was just working with a trainer. It felt like working out with a good friend who happens to know exactly what she’s doing. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who combines deep expertise with warmth, empathy, and a personal touch. She’s not just a great coach—she’s a truly wonderful human being.

I’ve been going to this gym for a quite long time, but recently had an unpleasant experience. On the evening of the 17th Jan(including between 19-21:00), the guy with blonde hair working at the reception was extremely rude. When I came in and when I left, I tried to say hi to him with a smile, but he not only ignored me but also he looked at me with a grumpy face, as if he was displeased with my presence. His expression was very rude and unpleasant. Since I saw him for the first time, there’s no reason for him to have any bad feelings toward me. I come to the gym to end my day with a positive vibe, so I can’t understand why he would treat a customer with such an attitude. Why did you even choose this job with that kind of behavior? It’s truly pathetic😂 If you're going to work with that attitude, I recommend you quit or be fired🫡🙏 I hope he improves his behavior. If the same thing happens again, I will report this to the head office. Don’t ruin my positive experiences at this gym.
Bas M — Google review
Really awesome gym; kind staff, nice gear, but in spring/summer it gets way too hot to workout nicely. There is no proper airconditioning/airflow. Placing some fans around the gym could already fix most of this problem. Also, there is a lot of dust flying/laying around the gym. As a person with dust mite allergy, this can be very distracting.
G — Google review
I have been training here for two years now, and i love it. Trainmore is beautiful gym with great staff and also the newest equipment. And the location is just perfect, for me the only downside is the temperature during the summer( their is only one room with airconditioning)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Premium gym experience at an affordable price I train here almost daily and I’m very satisfied with TrainMore Utrecht Stationsplein. The location is ideal — right next to the central station and just a short walk from my apartment (De Syp). The gym has a modern look and feel, with high-quality equipment for strength training, cardio, and HIIT. I also really appreciate the variety in machines and the dedicated women’s area (Gaia). What truly sets this gym apart are the extra features: a nice sauna, a proper ice shower afterwards, and a solid recovery zone with Hyperice tools and even a red light therapy bed — perfect for recovery. The showers are clean and stocked with premium shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The free coffee, XXL Nutrition protein shakes, and the €1 discount you get after each workout are great perks that really add up. It can get a bit busy between 6–8 AM and 4–8 PM, but even then it’s manageable. For this price, you’re getting a top-tier gym experience. Highly recommended!
Carsten R — Google review
First I want to say the staff are amazing, but sadly exploited by this predatory company ran by private equity. The gym is terrible however. Its equipment is bottle barrel (Technogym); anyone knowledgable about training knows this brand is horrible. The real crime is to then charge a base €75 for terrible equipment with an AC that doesn’t do anything because it is blocked by the female-only zone. This comes from a long-term member who has seen many other OG members leave due to this gym’s decadence. Take your money elsewhere.

I am a BIG fan of this place! The gardens are beautiful, there is great food at the (slightly expensive) restaurant and the museum is fun (especially for kids). My absolute favourite bit are the greenhouses though - stunning colours, great light, tiny cute plants and nicely warm. In short: this is a really good venue for wedding photos in winter! Give the museum a call in advance and they are happy to receive you any time for photos with no extra fee but the entrance costs. Definite rainy weather wedding photos in Utrecht favourite ;)

It's a great beach. A lot of room, so generally it is crowded but not stuffed. Toilets and enough trash cans are available. The sand is nice, while there is also gras available and the water is quite clear and nice and cool. Good place to sunbathe or just walk over! While swimming there are lines you shouldn't cross when you're not a good swimmer and life guards, so the whole experience feels quite safe! Reachable by bike quite easily, with a lot of place to park the bike

Step into the charming world of Museum Voor Het Kruideniersbedrijf, a free-admission Grocery Museum housed in a historic 17th-century building that has been a commercial space for centuries. The museum features an old-fashioned candy shop dating back to 1873 and offers visitors both a shop and an exhibition space to explore.
We had a wonderful experience. The staff working there were super friendly, informative and seemed to love to share their knowledge about traditional Dutch sweets. The museum portion—which is free—had a fascinating history of Dutch supermarkets. The only wish I had would be translated information for non-Dutch speakers. However, that’s really easy to get around these days with live image translations on phones. Unfortunately, that’s not the case for the video that plays in the basement area. Having English subtitles for it would be a nice touch. It’s still 5 starts in my book as you can still immerse yourself in the old packaging, massive matchbook collection and pin collection!
Alex C — Google review
This museum had so much character! With free entry, you can go through a whole timeline and collection of grocery and packaging-related history in either Dutch or English. On top of that, the front of the museum acts as an old-fashioned candy store, pricing candy by scaled weights etc. which is a really fun (as well as affordable!) to watch. The ladies working the museum on the day we went were kind and went out of their way to greet us and explain how to go through the museum. We had a very warm and pleasant experience here and would recommend it for all ages. Also, it’s a great spot for unique souvenirs.

At Great Mind Lab - RTT Hypnotherapy & Psychological Help Utrecht, clients have experienced transformative journeys under the guidance of Michalina, a skilled and empathetic therapist. Many have found that just one session can lead to significant changes, such as improved self-confidence and personal growth. Utilizing Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), Michalina helps individuals uncover deep-seated beliefs that may be hindering their progress in various aspects of life, from business expansion to personal clarity.
Michalina is very skilled, kind, professional, and supportive. From the first session, I felt a positive shift in my mindset and emotional well-being. She guided me patiently and gently through understanding the root causes of my challenges, which helped me a lot. The personalized recordings she gave me were amazing and made a big difference. I’m really happy with the results after just one session and can’t wait for the next one.
Marina V — Google review
My session with Michalina was very empowerful, she guided me through our hypnotic session to discover and heal with myself. The recording audio supported me all the way and even now that our sessions finished keep on helping me through the days. I recommend this therapy to any one who wants to improve their wellbeing and be more secure in themselves.
Lesly A — Google review
I can't just recommend Michalina, I must highly recommend her! I did a 3 month, three session course with her and I've gotten and continue to get really great results. Michalina is skilled, intuitive, compassionate and caring beyond the level of almost anyone I've met in the 68 years (so far) of my life. Despite differences in age, culture and background she helped me very much in many ways. Her professional help was worth every penny I spent.
Yitzchok G — Google review
Michalina was recommended to me by an acquaintance who solved her back pain through sessions with Michalina. I did not know what RTT was. Michalina explained the process and what my expectations could be. After gaining insight into the aspects we wanted to tackle, Michalina guided me step by step in her friendly, knowledgeable and warm way. The RTT session was very special; It helped me get a different perspective on things (Pain, bad habits, events in the past and mourning a close deceased person in the present). We discussed my experiences, and in a number of follow-up sessions, we were able to follow the experiences and improvements. I hope that Michalina can help and guide many more people with her special approach
Tamar B — Google review
I found Michalina after I'd had some big changes in my life. I needed a new direction but didn't really know how to decide what to do next and I felt totally stuck. Michalina helped me work out what I really want and in doing so helped me to face and deal with issues that I'd had all my life. The RTT session really shifted things for me and gave me a powerful sense of clarity and peace. I feel like I know myself so much better and I feel equipped to deal with whatever might come up in the future. I feel truly comfortable with myself and excited for the future, for the first time in years. Michalina is kind, wise and very intuitive and she was able to understand me and my issues very quickly. She is a very talented therapist and I warmly recommend her!
Rachel T — Google review
I can highly recommend working with Michalina. She is highly skilled, very empathetic and working with her was a pleasure. The methodology she uses, RTT, is very powerful, as it works directly with the subconscious mind. I approached her as I had noticed that I held limiting beliefs about expanding my business and being visible online. The RTT session was literally an eye opener, as I was able to access some very early memories that were at the root of the limiting beliefs that were holding me back. After the consolidation process I feel confident and empowered to pursue my goals. The transformation I have been able to achieve within such a limited time is impressive. Thank you, Michalina, for the incredible work that you do.
Anna K — Google review
Michalina is such a fantastic therapist. I only had one session with her for hair growth, and that was all it took. It’s only been two weeks, and already my hair is growing thicker and more robust, and I feel so much more confident. If you are ready to step into your power, I highly recommend booking a session with Michalina. You will have no regrets. I absolutely love listening to the personal transformational recording at the end of the day. I will be recommending Michalina to family and friends.
Willow W — Google review

Many visitors have enjoyed their first-time experiences here, thanks to the excellent guidance provided by the staff. After an exhilarating session in the virtual world, you can unwind at the cozy Werkspoor café nearby for some drinks and snacks.
Very nice experience but we had some technical issues which couldn't be fixed. We could not hear 2 of the players through the microphone. Also we were not able to see the bodies of the people, only clothes and hands.
Cristiana P — Google review
When we arrived at the location, 20 minutes in advance as requested, no one welcomed us. So we went to the bar ourselves and the girl behind it almost did not respond to our appearance and question were to go for the VR. Absolutely not welcoming. We waited for a while, but as time passed, we went up again to the bar to ask if we could already go up. The girl acted very indifferent, so we decided ourselves to go up. Only there we found out from another employee that devices were broken so the schedule was running out. She told us to wait a little longer. Of course this can happen, but it would have been very nice if the staff just had called us earlier that night saying that everything took longer, so we could just arrive later - and especially not 20 minutes in advance. Eventually the second girl fixed something, and we could start our game after 20 minutes waiting extra, which was very nice. The game was nice, we had a lot of fun and the level advanced is really advanced. If you did escape rooms before, but never VR, we strongly recommend you to take the intermediate level. It was a pity though that one of the controllers did not work, so I could not climb certain stairs. We could only continue after the employee fast forwarded the game. Maybe we came visiting on an unfortunate night, but it seems pretty bad that 4 computers were broken and at least one controller too. All in all, terrible bar service, seemingly bad quality devices, but if you eventually can play, you will have a lot of fun.

(Translated by Google) Had a really nice outing. We had a booking for 3 p.m. but were able to enter earlier. Nice arrangement. You can have a total of 8 people in a party, but with more people at the same time. Drinks afterwards were also fine (also vegetarian) and the staff was very friendly. Also free parking after 11:00. Why not 5 stars? Unfortunately not with everyone in a party and the cord was difficult at times. (Original) Hartstikke leuk uitje gehad.

(Translated by Google) We booked a VR game with a group of 7. It states via email and also on the site that you must be 20 minutes in advance to play an introduction. We were there more than 30 minutes in advance and yet we still had to wait 40 minutes... At the start of the game there were also technical problems (half could get into the game and the other half could not). The avatar of one of the players was also not set correctly. We opted for the laser game, it would have been a lot more fun if the game was automatically stopped after a few rounds so that you could choose a different world and different teams. The wire you were hanging on was also annoying and often got tangled. The glasses were also not focused. Despite the many technical points of improvement, it was a nice experience for my students.

(Translated by Google) The employees are super nice and helpful, I can't say anything bad about that. As far as VR gaming is concerned, the space to move around was extremely small and you always have to stand in one place. I'm not used to that at other VR Game locations. Sometimes you were working on an assignment and then you received a message that you were going outside your field, so you had to start the assignment again... that was annoying. The image was also not completely sharp, no matter how hard I tried with the wheel on the glasses. It is also not feasible in warm weather (read: 22 degrees). So incredibly hot, despite the air conditioning. You can have nice drinks there. Also delicious specialty beer! So I can recommend everyone to take a package!

(Translated by Google) The space to move around is really small. I have done VR rooms before where you can take a few steps, while here you always got the message that you are outside the room. In addition, the cable comes from behind and not from above, which means you can quickly become tangled in the rope. We also pressed the help button for help from the supervisor, but it never came. Everything else is ok. (Original) De beweegruimte is echt heel klein.

(Translated by Google) No experience with the games themselves. On the website you cannot see which games they have. For the escape rooms, yes. Not further. During the times that they indicate they are available, if you call, you will be told that they are not there. Too bad if you want to make a reservation the same evening with 4 people. I can't say anything about the VR because they are difficult to reach and cannot provide last minute information.

(Translated by Google) Maybe this activity isn't for me. The VR experience gave me a headache. I also found it annoying that you had to go back to a certain place every time during the game. This disrupted the game experience. (Original) Misschien is deze activiteit niet voor mij. Het VR experience gaf mij hoofdpijn. Vond het took vervelend dat je telkens tijdens de game weer terug moet gaan naar een bepaalde plek. Dit verstoorde de game experience.

Discover the charming city of Utrecht on a guided bike tour with BajaBikes. Led by a knowledgeable Dutch-speaking guide, the 2.5-hour tour takes you through downtown, showcasing historical and architectural gems that are often overlooked. The engaging and passionate storytelling style of the guide brings the city to life, making it an informative and enjoyable experience for both locals and visitors alike.
One of the best tours I have experienced. David is friendly, knowledgeable, insightful and brings a passion and enthusiasm to the tour rarely found in tour guides. His interactive and engaging style allows you to learn and satisfy your curiosity about a new city in a comfortable and most interesting way. Along the way, David will reveal historical and architectural features and gems of Utrecht that would remain hidden to most people visiting the city. Highly recommended!!!

I usually have a short attention span and can get bored by an event which lacks any storytelling and passion. However, with David, it turned into a captivating exploration of the city of Utrecht. I sincerely enjoyed every moment of it! The group of people we had were also a playful and fun bunch. For sure, he has the talent for doing this kind of a thing. I would always recommend it! David was also very attentive in answering all my questions about freemasons and symbols and one can tell that everything we heard was born from his own curiosity and exploration, which I think is the perfect ingredient to tell a good story!

Absolutely one of the relaxed and informative tours I came across with. The funny thing about this tour is that i've been around in Utrecht for almost 10 years and everything David told us was completely new to me. I experienced a great journey in Utrecht thanks to David. He was an incredible guide, no doubt the best I could have had to explore Utrecht and learn about its history as well as a lot of interesting facts. Thanks David!!!

I Loved the entire experiences . Got to see places that tourist often overlook and I fell in love with the entire city. David was very knowledgeable, and his love and passion for the city shone through and made it that much better. Definitely worth the experience.

Wonderful experience! David took us to a lot of quaint non-touristy spots, which is exactly what we were looking for. Along the way, we also learned a lot about Netherlands history. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an authentic experience.

If you're a true fan of Nijntje (Miffy), then the Nijntje Playground in Utrecht is an absolute must-visit! Nestled within the beautiful Julianapark, this expansive playground offers a delightful array of activities for children to explore and enjoy. The local community takes great pride in maintaining this space, as evidenced by the diligent groundskeeper who ensures everything is in top shape.
Local playground, well looked after (saw the groundskeeper checking the apparatus, and I've only been here a couple of times). Pity that there's a threat of flying footballs from the field opposite that might knock little ones off the swing bridge...
Hin-Yan L — Google review
(Translated by Google) This playground has a major underlying problem. The football-playing youth terrorize the young people who want to play here. I'm often outside, because I don't like being at home. I have a bit of a difficult home situation. But here you are bullied and abused. Step up RUTTE!!! (Original) Dit speeltuintje heeft een groot onderliggend probleem. De voetballende hangjongeren terroriseren de jonge jeugd die hier wil spelen. Exploring Utrecht by water is a unique experience, especially if you choose to navigate the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal that flows through this charming city. While it may not be the quickest route to reach Utrecht, renting a boat offers an adventurous way to soak in the scenic views along the canal. For those who prefer a leisurely pace and have time to spare, private boat charters are available, allowing you to enjoy the tranquil waters and picturesque surroundings at your own rhythm.

Play-in is a popular destination for kids' birthday parties and group hangouts. The play zone is spacious, making it easy to keep an eye on the kids while they enjoy activities like mini golf, climbing walls, and arcade games. The staff is accommodating and ensures that food is served promptly. While some visitors find the mini golf challenging and note occasional issues with arcade game functionality, others appreciate the unique features of the Crazy Urban Minigolf.
Finally something TO DO for all ages in Hoi An. Great location. Friendly staff. Creative and challenging 18 holes.

We went to Kids Paradise for the first time with family and friends (30 pp). It looked nice, but unfortunately when you look closer the playing area is sticky and not clean. Some area smells. It was too crowded, there were no space for a nice seating area because of all the birthday reservations. Baby area is small. And in comparison with Monkey Town, there are less variety.
TinTin M — Google review
Me and two other friends had a lot of fun. We did the climbing, arcade and escape room. For those who easily get motion sick, reconsider this escape room! A lot of big screens that could make you feel nauseous lol. For the rest it's nice. The faucets in the toilets weren't working.. So it was kind of disgusting that I could not wash the soap off that I already had it my hand.. And the ladies at the drink and eating corner were not really motivated I guess... But overall the experience was fun.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing visit. The cashier was unfriendly and arrogant. She did not inform us that we had overpaid when booking online – I only noticed it myself when she asked how many children we had, even though she could see we only had one. After I asked, she confirmed the mistake but only offered a voucher for another visit. Since we are from Germany, this was not a solution. It wasn’t about the money, but about honesty and customer service – both were clearly missing here. To her credit, the manager later tried to solve the situation and offered us a food and beverage voucher, which we appreciated. However, the overall impression remained negative, as the employee at the counter behaved in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful way. I also noticed that one of the kitchen staff was working with her hair down, which is very unhygienic. The entire indoor area looked dirty and poorly maintained. The toilet was in bad condition, with a broken flush and an overall unclean appearance. We had really been looking forward to this day, but we left disappointed and with a very negative impression.
S O — Google review
Visiting with toddler was completely off. The park is largely unassuming and aimed at kids from 6-10. The little ones have nothing to do there, in a place that gets overrun by bigger kids as it is right next to it. There is no ballpool or anything interesting besides few trampolines and climbing jungle. The amount of seating available compared to admission- you may end up holding your belongings or chucking them in some corner - clearly the seats and tables were all full or reserved for parties. Also one of more expensive play-parks as you need to pay for second parent, even though it clearly has nothing in there for parents.
Ozzy E — Google review
Great place for indoor playing, jumping, climbing to name a few. For parents there is enough room to sit comfortably , keep on eye on the kids while they entertain themselves.
Bart Z — Google review
One of the best indoor play parks for kids in the Netherlands, you can easily spend a day here with your children, and the entry prices are also reasonable and also very friendly staffs.
Manivannan K — Google review
I went here with my friend to try climbing walls and VR and it was really cool activity! I would really like to go again, we went on Tuesday, but even then it was quite busy, so it’s better to buy tickets in advance. An employee explained all the rules and always helped when we needed help so I definitely recommend this place 🤗

Nature & Parks
Julianapark, one of the oldest parks in Utrecht, is a lush and tranquil urban green space that dates back to 1903. Divided into three distinct areas, it offers a variety of experiences for visitors. The animal area allows you to spot deer and chickens, while the recreational section features an outdoor stage and play areas. For those seeking a more serene experience, there's a peaceful section ideal for relaxation or reading.
Very calm, nice big park with animals

Beautiful park! There is a little lake which attracts ducks and birds. You can find chickens, roosters and ducks roaming around. There are also deers and other cute little animals in the farmhouse inside the park
Hatef R — Google review
Great place to spend time with children, family, alone or with friends. The park has a mini zoo where you can feed the animals, a large playground for children, a barbecue area, a restaurant and plenty of jogging paths and benches. The park is on the main road but fenced. Fantastic place to relax.
Wioletta K — Google review
Very nice chicken and goose, they are really cool and with nice fluff, also the trees are really big and there are nice benches, but the chickens are the main attraction like they are the one you really want to cuddle, don't know if they would appreciate oh yeah and I saw a bambi in the parks and a big birds with nice shinny blue and green feather, they where very long so I did not understand the purpose but it was very elegant very noice 👌

What a great park! I honestly couldn’t believe all the fancy chickens and roosters! No litter through the park (mostly), really easy to get to by public transit.

Tranquility, peacefulness and plenty of green grass, trees and shrubs await you at Julianapark. A beautiful lake and some interesting animals add to the atmosphere as well. Get away from the city while still being in the city.
