Lahore Fort, also known as Shahi Qila, is a magnificent Mughal-era fortress in the heart of Greater Iqbal Park. This UNESCO World Heritage site boasts ornate palaces, pavilions, and a mosque. The fort is surrounded by 13 historic gates and features several museums for visitors to explore. Nearby attractions include the Minar-e-Pakistan national monument and the Badshahi Mosque, where guests can witness the breathtaking Mughal-inspired architecture at sunset.
I visited the Lahore Fort after several decades, and initially, I only had flashes of the old fort in my mind. But this visit changed everything. I’m very happy to see that not only has the government beautifully preserved this magnificent historical fort, but they have also harmonized it with modern facilities. One such facility is the electric cart, which you can ride for just Rs. 100 to tour the entire fort. However, if you truly want to explore it properly, my suggestion would be to go on foot. That’s the only way you can absorb the history of each part and truly understand the glorious past of the fort. Wherever we went, we spent a lot of time reading about the history and also took many pictures. What made me happiest was seeing that special arrangements have been made for differently-abled visitors at Lahore Fort. For example, ♿wheelchair-accessible ramps are available throughout the fort. I highly recommend all history lovers visiting Lahore to definitely explore the Lahore Fort. You’ll return with joy in your heart.

Lahore Fort is a must-visit for anyone exploring Lahore. Every visit feels like stepping into the grandeur of the Mughal era. The Sheesh Mahal, Alamgiri Gate, and beautiful gardens are highlights. Tickets are affordable, and guided tours help understand its rich history. Visit early morning or late afternoon for cooler weather and better photos. Some areas need improved maintenance, but overall it’s a fantastic historical experience.
Muhammad B — Google review
It’s boring, we were done after getting some pictures. The government should work hard to preserve the originality of fort, as I saw most people ruining walls. Plus there is nothing other than the walls to see. There should be libraries, monuments. Some kind of of theme, to build public interest.
Nabisha J — Google review
A timeless masterpiece of Mughal architecture — a must-visit for anyone who truly wants to experience the heart of Lahore’s history and culture. The Lahore Fort, locally known as Shahi Qila, is one of those rare places where you can genuinely feel the layers of history come alive around you. Located at the northern end of Lahore’s old walled city, right beside the majestic Badshahi Mosque, this fort is not just a tourist attraction — it’s a journey through centuries of art, power, and empire. I visited the fort on a calm afternoon, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had in Lahore. The entrance through the Alamgiri Gate immediately sets the tone — grand, imposing, and filled with Mughal charm. As you walk in, you can’t help but imagine how emperors like Akbar, Jahangir, and Shah Jahan once walked these same pathways. Every corner tells a story. The fort isn’t a single building but a whole complex — with palaces, courtyards, gardens, and beautifully decorated halls that reflect different eras of Mughal and later Sikh influences. The Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) is without doubt the highlight. The mirror work inside is breathtaking — thousands of tiny glass pieces reflect light in such a mesmerizing way that it feels almost magical. Even after centuries, the craftsmanship remains stunning. The Naulakha Pavilion is another gem — elegant white marble, intricate floral carvings, and a peaceful balcony view overlooking the city. You can easily spend hours admiring the details and still find something new every time you look closer. What I really appreciated was the fort’s restoration and preservation efforts by the authorities and UNESCO. Although some parts are still under maintenance, it’s heartening to see that the fort’s glory is being carefully revived rather than modernized. Information boards around the complex provide historical context, which makes the visit educational as well as visually fascinating. The museum section inside is worth a visit too. It houses ancient coins, Mughal armory, paintings, manuscripts, and artifacts that give you an even deeper insight into how life must have been during the Mughal era. The staff were polite and helpful, and the ticketing process was smooth. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend coming in the late afternoon when the light softens — it’s the perfect time for photography, especially when the sun hits the marble and red sandstone walls. The fort is right next to the Badshahi Mosque, Hazuri Bagh, and Minar-e-Pakistan, so you can make it part of a full-day heritage tour. In short, Lahore Fort isn’t just a monument — it’s a living story of art, culture, and resilience. Whether you’re a history lover, a photographer, or simply someone seeking inspiration, this place will leave you speechless. A must-see landmark that captures the true soul of Lahore and the golden age of the Mughal Empire.

It's waste of time to visit that place if you don't buy the ticket for each place. On every door they ask for 100/- Rs for entry like they are beggars. And the place that are free having nothing inside it. Not visiting this if don't want to waste your time. And don't eat anything from the restaurant that are around to it. Their taste is soo bad so don't waste your money..
Muhammad J — Google review
The fort itself is good but the administration is not good. Tickets for foreigners are 1k and locals 100. They were not allowing us to visit the Ranjeet Singh's Samadhi. The guards try to guide you to each section but we didn't take any guide. As you enter the fort are near the handicrafts shop enter the main door and take stairs to your left (hathi pair elephant stairs) they will take you to the Sheesh Mahal. If you try to go on the road that is too long and has nothing worth seeing There was loh Mandir under restoration (a few labourers were just smashing a stone with hammer with enough force to make it seem that they are working 😄) When you enter any section the guard will try to guide you and will also allow photography but you have to pay. They'll ask you to pay in the end. You can pay if you want to and they'll guide you. If you don't want to pay go on YouTube and watch the vlogs of a few YouTubers. That will save you some money.

Lahore Fort, also called Shahi Qila, is a magnificent Mughal monument built mainly by Emperor Akbar in 1566 and later expanded by Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb. Located beside the Badshahi Mosque, it is famous for its grand gates, Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors), Naulakha Pavilion, and beautiful marble work. The fort has witnessed the rule of Mughals, Sikhs, and the British, making it a symbol of rich history and culture. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist attraction where visitors can experience the royal glory of the past.🪨
Mudassar M — Google review
Visiting Lahore Fort felt like walking through history. The grand gates and Mughal architecture instantly transported me to another era. The Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors) was the highlight, with thousands of tiny mirrors glittering in the light, creating a magical effect. Strolling through the fort’s courtyards and gardens, I could almost imagine the royal life that once thrived here. From the Alamgiri Gate to the walls overlooking the Badshahi Mosque, every corner told a story of Mughal glory and culture. Truly, Lahore Fort is not just a monument—it’s an unforgettable experience of Pakistan’s heritage. 🇵🇰✨

Lahore Museum, established in 1865 during British rule, is a significant cultural institution in Pakistan. Housed in a stunning red brick building with diverse architectural influences, the museum boasts an extensive collection that spans from ancient tools to contemporary art. It features Greco-Buddhist sculptures and exhibits reflecting Lahore's history under the Sikh, Mughal, and British empires.
The Lahore Museum on Mall Road is one of the finest and most historic museums in Pakistan, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region’s rich cultural, artistic, and religious heritage. Established in the 19th century during the British era, the building itself is a landmark — a beautiful red-brick structure with Indo-Saracenic architecture that immediately catches the eye. Inside, the museum houses an impressive and well-organized collection. Highlights include Gandhara sculptures of the Buddha, Mughal and Sikh-period artifacts, ancient manuscripts, miniature paintings, Islamic calligraphy, coins, arms, and ethnographic displays from across Pakistan. Each gallery is labeled with informative panels, making it easier for visitors to understand the historical context. The museum also displays relics from the Indus Valley Civilization and rare pieces like the Fasting Buddha statue, which is world-famous.

I visited the Lahore Museum a few years ago, and it was truly a wonderful experience. It’s a great place full of history, culture, and knowledge. The museum has a vast collection of ancient artifacts, coins, sculptures, paintings, and manuscripts that beautifully reflect the rich heritage of Pakistan. The building itself is historic and well-maintained, with detailed exhibits that make learning enjoyable for visitors of all ages. It’s an ideal place for students, history lovers, and anyone interested in discovering the past. I highly recommend visiting the Lahore Museum — it’s one of the most informative and inspiring places in the city.
Abdulj J — Google review
Lahore museum is a very good place. The building itself is very old and has a history. Take the ticket and behind the ticket is the map of museum. Start from the end of the museum so you don't miss any part. I'd suggest go to first floor and start with Pakistan's independence history section. Take water bottle with you as there was no canteen. If you have interest in history try to visit as early in the morning as possible. It takes too much time to watch each part thoroughly ( took me since I am a history admirer) If you are visiting with your school or college please try to take a look at the articles. Mostly children were running and making videos so they can watch later 😄. Enjoy the moment.

Visiting the Lahore Museum was truly a journey through history, culture, and art. The museum holds an incredible collection ranging from ancient Gandhara sculptures, Mughal miniatures, Islamic artifacts, coins, manuscripts, and weapons, to beautiful paintings that reflect the richness of our heritage. What impressed me the most was the Fasting Buddha statue, one of the most famous artifacts in the world, and the Mughal & Sikh galleries that beautifully showcase the grandeur of those eras. Each section feels like stepping back in time. The museum is well-organized, informative, and a perfect place for students, researchers, and anyone interested in the history of the subcontinent. The architecture of the building itself is also a masterpiece, adding to the charm of the visit. Overall, it was an enriching and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lahore.

It offers a wide range of shopping options, dining experiences, and entertainment facilities such as an ice skating rink and a cinema. The mall also features an upscale hotel and modern residential units within the same premises, creating a vibrant community for visitors. Amazing Experience at Emporium & Nishat Hotel Emporium is one of the best places in Lahore for shopping, dining, and entertainment – everything under one roof. The mall is spacious, well-maintained, and has a wide variety of local and international brands. The food court offers great options, and the cinema and play areas make it a complete family destination. The Nishat Hotel Emporium is equally impressive – elegant interiors, professional staff, and a luxurious stay experience right next to the mall. Perfect for both business and leisure. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lahore! ---
Shahzaib K — Google review
Emporium Mall was once one of the top shopping destinations in Lahore, but now it feels like just an average mall. The food court’s AC doesn’t work properly anymore—even when it’s not crowded, it still feels warm. Seating arrangements have also been reduced significantly, which is disappointing for families and visitors looking to rest. It used to be vibrant and well-maintained, but now it seems like the management isn’t giving it the attention it once had. Overall, the experience is just okay now.
Jamal Z — Google review
From an aesthetic and selection standpoint, the mall shines. The interior is spacious, well-lit, and cleanly maintained, giving it a modern feel. The variety of local and international brands is excellent, offering something for almost every shopper. The food court is a major highlight, boasting a vast selection of cuisines and a very large seating area that can accommodate a huge number of people. For entertainment, the cinema and the dedicated fun zones like the Fun Factory make it a great option for a full family outing, especially in the sweltering heat of Lahore.

We visited Emporium Mall yesterday (it was Sunday), and overall it was a great experience. The only small issue we faced was finding a place to sit in the food court, had to wait quite a bit after searching for a while. But apart from that, everything else was top-notch!

It’s one of the nicest malls in Lahore built and operated by the Nishat group. It’s very posh and had a hotel attached to it with very spacious and clean rooms. It has large number of shops from a variety of brands and vast variety of food joints including Arcadian cafe. Overall a fun place for shopping and food.

The Lahore Zoo, a well-established and popular attraction since 1872, offers visitors the opportunity to see a variety of animals and birds. However, despite being a public place, cleanliness arrangements are not up to par and food quality is subpar. Prices for tickets and entry at the gate are higher than those charged by other companies. Some animals do not seem to be in good health or engage in healthy activities.

Lahore Zoo has been the center of attention since forever... I recently visited Lahore Zoo after its renovation, and I must say it looks so much better now. The place is cleaner, greener, and more organized than before. There are proper sitting areas, signboards, and the cages have been improved. Families with kids will enjoy the new look, as it feels more comfortable and safe for a day out. However, I still can't vouch for animals living there because 1. The area is not enough for the wild creatures 2. There are no proper air conditioning units for animals like lions, bears and even parrots. 3. Despite the entrance ticket many of the public cannot afford tickets to different animal enclosures such as Snake House, Fish Aquarium, The 3D Dinosaur thing etc Parking is available but can get crowded on weekends, so going early is a good idea. Overall, the renovation has really improved the experience. It’s a nice place to spend time with family, especially children, and to see animals in a cleaner environment. Definitely worth visiting again!
Namra M — Google review
I had heard so much about Lahore Zoo, but visiting on the weekend turned out to be a big mistake. There’s no proper management or guidance for parking or crowd control. The place was absolutely jam-packed, and the overall atmosphere was quite chaotic. A word of advice if you’re planning to visit, go on a weekday when it’s less crowded. The zoo itself is decent with average maintenance, though it’s quite dusty in some areas. Tickets cost Rs. 100 per person (for both adults and children). Overall, it was just an okay experience, not something I’d recommend for weekends.

Lahore Zoo is a delightful place to visit, especially for families and children. It is one of the oldest and most popular zoos in Pakistan, offering a wonderful opportunity to see a variety of animals up close. The environment is spacious, green, and refreshing, making it a nice spot for a relaxed day out. The zoo features many animals including lions, tigers, deer, birds, reptiles, and playful monkeys—all arranged in different enclosures that are easy to explore. Information boards near the enclosures help visitors learn interesting facts about the species, making the trip not only enjoyable but educational as well. The walking paths are comfortable, and there are resting areas and small food spots where families can sit and enjoy their time peacefully. It is especially enjoyable for children who get excited seeing animals they have only heard about in stories and school books. Overall, Lahore Zoo remains a charming and memorable destination, full of learning and enjoyment. A lovely place to spend quality time with family and friends.

Lahore Zoo is a popular attraction in Pakistan, established in 1872, making it one of the oldest zoos in South Asia. Lahore Zoo is home to over 1,380 animals of 136 species, including mammals, birds, and reptiles. The zoo is managed by the Forest, Wildlife and Fisheries department of the Government of Pakistan. The zoo has a diverse collection of animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, monkeys, birds, and reptiles. Recent renovations have made the zoo clean and beautiful, with proper walking paths and essential facilities. The zoo is a popular spot for families, with shaded seating areas, food stalls, and activities for kids. Some areas need better maintenance and attention to animal welfare. - *Timings*: 9:00 AM to sunset, 7 days a week. - *Parking*: Available outside the gate on Mall Road, with a fee of Rs. 10 for motorcycles and Rs. 50 for cars. The zoo can get crowded, especially on weekends and public holidays. - *Provide more stimulating environments for animals. Overall, Lahore Zoo is a popular destination for families and animal lovers.

Lahore Zoo is one of the oldest and most beautiful zoos in Pakistan, a great place for families and kids to enjoy nature and learn about animals. The zoo has a wide variety of animals and birds — lions, tigers, elephants, monkeys, and many colorful species that attract both children and adults. The environment is green and peaceful with plenty of trees and shaded areas for sitting and relaxing. The walking paths are well-maintained, and there are food stalls and resting spots throughout the zoo. Ticket prices are very reasonable, and it’s an ideal weekend spot for families. Recently, the management has improved cleanliness and animal care, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. It’s a perfect place for photography, picnics, and spending quality time with loved ones in the heart of Lahore. Highly recommended for both locals and tourists! 🦁🐘🌳📸
Muhammad I — Google review
The most striking change is the upgraded animal enclosures. They are now far more spacious and naturalistic, with lush green landscaping, larger pools, and more climbing structures. You no longer see tigers and lions pacing anxiously on bare concrete. Instead, they enjoy more naturalistic habitats, such as those with glass tunnels for better viewing without distressing the animals. The zoo's commitment to educating the public about animal welfare is also much improved. A new initiative features statues of animals alongside detailed information boards that cover a species' diet, lifespan, and its role in the ecosystem. This approach is effective with children, making learning interactive and engaging Harassment: Some visitors, particularly children, knock on enclosure glass, shout, and throw objects to get a reaction from the animals. This causes immense stress to the animals, causing them to hide or exhibit abnormal, stereotypical behaviors like repetitive pacing.
Nabeel685 — Google review
Disappointment. Not well maintained as a Zoo or animal sanctuary as it should be. Also not the civic sense shown by the general people or even the school students which are most frequent visitors here. Alarming place is that instead of a natural place look it has been transformed and designed into something looking and presenting the urban and artificial vibe. Loud, nonsense music is being constantly played in the park creating the noise pollution. Most of the animals like the elephant, giraffes and hippopotamus were missing. Also some animals like the lion was visibly injured. The parking ticket was one hundred rupees per person and free for children under ten years of age. Zoo was too much a busy place with a quite a lot of visitors. Only good thing in the whole Zoo is the food area. They have the good quality tasty food with reasonable price especially gol gappay etc. It's self service food area and sitting area is limited especially hard to find a dining spot during the lunch time. In a nut shell not something what a visitor going to the zoo is expecting and felt more like wastage of the time. It is requested to the concerned zoo authorities to 1. Kindly keep the place clean, cleaning activities may be performed either before or after the visitors time 2. Disgusting and nonsense music might not be played which only creates disturbance 3. Irrelevant cartoonic sign and guiding boards may be replaced by aesthetic ones 4. Big animals may be reintroduced to the zoo 5. Instead of artificial animals installed at various points such as giraffes, elephant the real animals that may survive in here may be introduced and 6. Special care may be provided to the animals and their living conditions may be duly catered for by the concerned authorities.

The Wazir Khan Mosque, completed in 1641, is a stunning architectural gem located in Lahore. Its ornate tiled exterior and minaret make it a sight to behold. The interior is adorned with beautiful frescoes, adding to the mosque's grandeur. While exploring the old town of Lahore, a visit to this mosque is highly recommended. Unlike the more popular Badshahi Mosque, Wazir Khan Mosque offers a serene atmosphere for leisurely exploration.
Masjid Wazir Khan is one of the most stunning examples of Mughal-era architecture in Lahore. The intricate frescoes, detailed tile work, and beautifully designed minarets reflect an extraordinary level of craftsmanship and artistic heritage. Located in the heart of the walled city, the mosque offers a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere amid the historic surroundings. It's a must-visit for anyone interested in Islamic art, history, or architecture. Truly a timeless masterpiece and a pride of Lahore❤️

Imo, the most beautiful mosque in Lahore. Rudyard Kipling and his father used to visit it for inspiration and it is a true beauty indeed.

I entered Old Lahore through the historic Delhi Gate, and after a 5-minute walk through the lively and narrow streets, I reached Masjid Wazir Khan. The journey itself felt like stepping back in time surrounded by centuries old buildings, street vendors, and the energy of Lahore. The mosque is truly a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Its vibrant tilework (kashi kari) and intricate frescoes are breathtaking up close. Unlike larger Mughal monuments, Wazir Khan Mosque feels intimate, detailed, and rich with atmosphere. The courtyard is peaceful despite the bustling city just outside.

The mosque is located in the heart of Old Lahore, surrounded by labyrinthine markets, making reaching it both a challenge and a pleasure. The decorations are breathtaking, prompting reflection on the philosophy behind the choice of these designs.

Better place to visit than badshahi masjid, and is near the delhi gate so a market is closeby for shopping. It can be maintained and taken care of so that a heritage site is protected for generations to come and for that a minimal ticket can also be charged

Masjid Wazir Khan, located inside Delhi Gate, is truly one of the most beautiful examples of Mughal architecture in Lahore. Built in the 17th century, the mosque is famous for its intricate fresco paintings, tile work, and calligraphy that cover almost every wall and arch. The level of detail in the artwork is breathtaking and feels like stepping into a living museum of Islamic art. The courtyard is spacious and peaceful, offering a sense of calm despite being in the heart of the bustling Walled City. The mosque is well-preserved, and restoration efforts over the years have helped maintain its charm, though more care could still be taken in some areas. For anyone who loves history, culture, or architecture, Masjid Wazir Khan is a must-visit. It’s not just a place of worship, but also a cultural treasure that showcases the beauty and artistry of Mughal-era Lahore.
Muhammad A — Google review
Wazir Khan Mosque is a quiet marvel tucked into the pulse of the old city. From the moment you step through the carved gateway into the courtyard, you feel the weight of history and a calm that makes you slow down. What really stays with you are the interiors: dazzling frescoes, dense calligraphy and the Persian-style kashi-kari tile work that cover walls, arches and domes. The colors and floral motifs feel almost like a painted garden that wraps around the prayer halls; intimate, intricate and instantly photogenic. It’s an exceptional example of Mughal decorative art and one of the reasons the mosque is considered a cultural jewel of Lahore.

Worth visit place. Management must allocate some cost for renovation l, add some seating benches near pools so parents can monitor children without getting into pools. Not sure what will be best but they must add some good technology for water cleaning during use. Recommended for family gatherings.

There’s something for everyone: speed slides, racer slides, bullet slides, a twister slide, free-fall slides, even a “lazy river” for those who want to float and relax. For the little ones, smaller pools and gentler slides make it safe and fun.

My advice is take your swim suit from home if you are visiting there you can also find shops there.... Ladies and gents have separate area.... The gents are having more sports than the ladies...

Joyland (جوائے لینڈ) Joyland, located near Fortress Stadium in Lahore, is a well-known amusement park that attracts families, children, and thrill lovers alike. The park offers a wide variety of rides, including family rides, kids' rides, and adventure attractions like Discovery and Free Fall. It's a fun and affordable place for an outing, especially on weekends and holidays. The park is generally well-maintained, and the ticket system (wristbands for unlimited rides) adds good value. However, the food stalls inside could be improved in terms of quality and variety. Still, Joyland remains a popular and nostalgic spot for many visitors in Lahore.

Joyland has some enjoyable rides and entertainment options, making it a fun place to visit. However, my experience was affected by the behavior of the gate staff, who were quite rude and unprofessional. The management should definitely look into improving staff training and customer service. Additionally, the cleanliness of the park needs serious attention — it could be much better maintained. Overall, it’s a decent place for rides, but the overall experience could improve significantly with better service and hygiene standards.

Joyland Fortress Lahore – Honest Review Joyland is one of Lahore’s oldest and most visited amusement parks, located inside Fortress Stadium. It’s packed with a mix of thrilling rides like Discovery, Top Spin, Free Fall, and plenty of options for kids too—bumper cars, carousels, and small coasters. The park still has that nostalgic charm, but things have changed over time. The place gets extremely crowded on weekends and public holidays, and the overall crowd control and management could definitely be improved. 🎟️ Entry Ticket: Rs. 100 🎢 Per Ride: Rs. 350 🎫 Wristband (Unlimited Rides): Rs. 1100 Food options are basic. Staff is usually helpful but can be overwhelmed during rush hours. Cleanliness is average—depends on the time of your visit. Best time to visit: Weekday evenings Avoid: National holidays, weekends, and school trip days ✔️ Family-friendly (if not overcrowded) ✔️ Good value with a wristband if you plan to try multiple rides ❌ Poor crowd management during peak hours ❌ Long queues and sometimes aggressive behavior from visitors Final word: If you time it right, Joyland can still give you a fun, classic amusement park experience. But go on a wrong day, and it can quickly turn into a stressful visit.

This park is a wonderful urban retreat in Lahore. Whether you’re going for a casual family picnic, a morning jog, or simply want to sit and unwind in nature, this place delivers. The combination of greenery, walks/tracks, water features, and floral displays makes it one of the top picks for recreation in the city. I would highly recommend a visit—especially on a weekday morning for some peaceful time, or during one of the seasonal flower exhibitions for a more vibrant experience. Tip: Visit early in the morning (around 6–8 AM) if you want to avoid the crowds and have a quieter time. Bring comfortable shoes for the track.

السلام علیکم ورحمۃ اللہ وبرکاتہ Though the park itself is beautiful but attending the Flower Exhibition was hectic. The rain made everything worse, it ruined my shoes (avoid going there if it just rained). It was so crowded as the exhibition itself was just in a specific nook. The park needs to be looked after for God's sake. I can't believe we have these parks as our main ones, poor management makes it so difficult for us Pakistanis to present as an educated nation worldwide. It was so sad that flowers near to the cage were plucked :( like c'mon yaar, we all came to see them. Have some civic sense. They need to work on segeration and hire proper people to arrange this event. But the part of it all were the Bonsai trees.

11Sheesh Mahal Lahore

Historical landmark
Nestled within the historic Lahore Fort, Sheesh Mahal is a stunning Mughal pavilion that dates back to 1632. Renowned as the 'Palace of Mirrors,' this architectural gem captivates visitors with its intricate colored stone inlays and mesmerizing mirror mosaics. The unique design not only reflects light beautifully but also tells tales of a time when these mirrors illuminated the lives of queens and their attendants, creating an enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of starry nights.
Tucked within the Lahore Fort is the Sheesh Mahal, or Palace of Mirrors—a marvel that deserves its own spotlight. This was, by far, the most enchanting part of my visit to the fort. Entering Sheesh Mahal felt like stepping into a dream stitched together with light and reflection. Commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1631–32, the Sheesh Mahal was built as a private retreat for the royal family. Its primary purpose was to serve as a luxurious residence for the imperial women and to host elite gatherings. The defining feature of this palace is its intricate mirror work (ayina kari)—thousands of small convex mirror tiles inlaid in the walls and ceilings, catching and scattering light in every direction. What’s astonishing is that even a single candle could illuminate the entire room due to the reflective mosaic. The combination of marble, precious stones, frescoes, and pietra dura gives it a celestial glow. The ceiling, in particular, looks like a galaxy frozen in time. Despite the centuries that have passed, much of Sheesh Mahal’s original grandeur remains intact, and preservation efforts have kept its allure alive. Standing inside it, I couldn’t help but imagine the Mughal royalty marveling at their own reflections amid the glimmering walls, surrounded by the soft aroma of sandalwood and rose. Sheesh Mahal is not just an architectural feat—it is a poetic space that captures the imagination, a silent tribute to luxury, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
Abdullah F — Google review
Sheesh Mahal in Lahore Fort is a remarkable testament to the uniqueness of Mughal architecture. Built during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan—renowned for his love of beauty and intricate design—it stands as a masterpiece of craftsmanship. This stunning structure is a blend of white marble (Sang-e-Mar-Mar) and intricate mirror work (Sheesha), creating a mesmerizing effect of brightness and reflection. Its creation was inspired by a dream of Shah Jahan’s beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, in which she envisioned herself flying among the stars. To bring that vision to life, Sheesh Mahal was built, now standing as an enduring symbol of love and artistic brilliance. Recognizing its historical and architectural significance, UNESCO included Sheesh Mahal in the list of World Heritage Sites in 1981.
Asif I — Google review
Sheesh Mahal was built during the reign of King Shah Jahan. Once Mumtaz Mahal (the beloved wife of Shah Jahan), had a dream that she was floating in the air so high that she could touch the stars up in the sky. Upon awakening, she expressed wistfulness for the ecstasy she had felt in the dream. The answer to that longing was the construction of Sheesh Mahal, as a gift to Mumtaz Mahal when she lived in Lahore. Unfortunately, she passed away before she could step into the Palace of Mirrors which left the king heart broken. Mughal Emperors used this as the Royal Harem of Lahore Fort. The rear chamber houses a marble screen beautiful carved out in tendril, floral and geometrical patterns. The chief features of Sheesh Mahal are Gillt work (placing of pure gold), Pietra dura work (inlay of semi-precious stones into white marble), Marble perforated screens and the Aiena Kari (convex glass mosaic work) with Monabat Kari (stucco tracery). The versatility of variegated marble stone slabs (Sang-e-Musa, Sang-e-Abri, Sang-e-Badal) added the beauty of spacious courtyard in front of the palace. The shallow water basin is constructed in the center of Mahal that comprises four jet fountains. The other buildings are connected with basin through the four water channels on each side. Some architects and conservationists say that it was some kind of mercury element used as mirror in this structure and that is why it is still intact. It is one of the most majestic palaces of the Mughal period and people from all over the world come to see and study this place. The Sheesh Mahal Attic Roof was conserved and its waterproofing was also done which was in a dilapidated condition. This project was done by the Walled City of Lahore Authority in collaboration with Aga Khan Trust for Culture with the funding of Royal Norwegian Embassy. The Sheesh Mahal was constructed under the reign of emperor Shah Jahan in 1631-32. Attic Rooms adjacent to Sheesh Mahal main area were in state of disrepair and needed immediate conservation. Through the conservation project all decayed wooden elements of 6,335 sq ft roof, structural consolidation, conservation of decorative elements along with water rerouting was completed in January 2021.

The Sheesh Mahal in Lahore Fort, built by Emperor Shah Jahan, is a stunning Mughal-era masterpiece. Known as the “Palace of Mirrors,” it features intricate mirror work that creates a dazzling effect when light reflects. The Mosque of Mariyam Zamani Begum, also known as the Begum Shahi Mosque, is a stunning 17th-century Mughal mosque located in Lahore. Built by Emperor Jahangir to honor his mother, it showcases a blend of Mughal and Pashtun Lodi architectural influences. The mosque features intricate decorations, fresco paintings with floral and geometrical designs, and a prayer chamber.
This is so beautiful and masterpiece of mughal architecture but unfortunately this most loss its beauty due to encroachment. And extra construction in the lawn of this mosque. I love this mosque wall fresco even if we touch the wall fresco we can feel each design each curve. Now a days mosque condition is so bad but archeological department has started restoration work that is continue. I recommend to everyone please visit this mosque and enjoy calmness of this mosque.

1975 Maryam Zamani Mosque also known as Begum Shahi Masjid is located on eastern side of the Lahore Fort. Maryam Zamani Begum was mother of Mughal Emperor Noor-ud-din Jahangir.  This mosque is one of the earliest mosques of Mughal era, constructed under the orders and royal patronage of Emperor Jahangir from 1611-1614 AD.  The mosque is simple and graceful massive structure, richly decorated with fresco paintings in geometrical, floral and tendril designs. The main prayer chamber with its five arched openings, the central one as usual large framed and provided with a half dome, opened into a courtyard with an ablution tank in its center. The architectural plan and its decorative details especially its fresco paintings and calligraphy akes this mosque one of the more eminent Mughal monument.

Begum Shahi Mosque, officially The Mosque of Mariyam Zamani Begum, is an early 17th-century mosque situated in the Walled City of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The mosque was built between 1611 and 1614 during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahangir in honor of his mother. It is one of Lahore's earliest surviving examples of a Mughal-era mosque and influenced the construction of the larger Wazir Khan Mosque a few decades later. The mosque has been encroached upon by several shops, and views of the mosque from the Akbari Gate of the Lahore Fort have been obstructed by illegally constructed tire shops. In July 2016, the Walled City of Lahore Authority announced that the shops would be removed, and the mosque would also be conserved and restored.BackgroundThe mosque was built during the reign of Mughal Emperor Jahangir in honor of his mother, Begum Mariyam Zamani, who was also known as 'Maharani Jodha Bai'. Mariyam Zamani was also a wife of the Mughal Emperor, Akbar.LocationThe mosque is located inside the old Masti Gate in the Walled City of Lahore.HistoryConstruction began in 1611 and lasted until 1614. The Mosque of Mariyam Zamani was temporarily turned into a gunpowder factory by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, for which it was then known as Barudkhana Wali Masjid ("Gunpowder Mosque"). In 1850 the mosque was returned to the Muslims of Lahore who was able to contribute to its renovation.

Marriam Zamani was the Muslim name of Jodha Bai (the consort of Emperor Akbar). Though she didn't convert to Muslim but still she had a Muslim name (Marriam Zamani) and this lovely mosque was built on her name.

One of the oldest Mosques of Lahore but unfortunately, in a pathetic condition. It has two names 1)Maryam Zamani Mosque 2)Begum Shahi Mosque. Initially it was built by Mughal king for all sects of Islam but after few centuries, Shiites, Salafists & Ahmadi were banned by administration of Mosque & only Hanfi Sunni were allowed to perform prayers. This nonsense was quite rare & still, such narrow mindset is rare in Pakistan. Anyway, Ranjit Singh changed this mosque into powder gun factory & when British came, Mosque was handed over to Sunni Muslims. Still today, Mosque is functional. It's hard to locate due to Encroachments.

Maryam Zamani Mosque: The Hidden Gem of Lahore Sitting under a marvellous dome like this, in complete silence, one is momentarily separated from the perpetual worries and hectic pace of daily life. There is a sense of peace here that is not found anywhere else in the city. However, most parts of this historic mosque are in a terrible condition: they are crumbling and fading away, or worse, being painted over. The diminishing reality of these structures is heartbreaking, but it makes you realize the role which power, funding, and priorities can play. The place in question is Maryam Zamani Mosque, in Old Lahore. It is one of the oldest and most significant Mughal monuments in the subcontinent. But it is not as well known as the other Mughal buildings and is easily overlooked since it is surrounded by a dense bazaar. Although it has three entrances, you could very easily pass by all of them, without realizing the gem hidden within those walls.

Greater Iqbal Park, formerly known as Minto Park, has been transformed into a lush green space by the horticulture department in Lahore, Pakistan. The park is home to the iconic Minar-e-Pakistan, also known as the 'Tower of Pakistan,' which commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940. This national monument showcases a blend of Mughal, Islamic, and modern architectural styles.
Beautifully developed park in the heart of Lahore! The wide green spaces, fountains, and walking tracks make it a great place for families and kids. The lighting at night around Minar-e-Pakistan looks stunning and gives a very peaceful vibe. It’s also nice for jogging and evening walks. Only suggestion is to maintain cleanliness better on busy days and add more refreshment stalls. Overall, a must-visit spot for relaxation and history together.

میں نے وہاں لاہور کی دھڑکن کو محسوس کیا Where Lahore’s Heart Beats Louder If Lahore had a heartbeat, it would echo across Greater Iqbal Park. As a proud local, I’ve seen parks come and go, but this place hits differently. What I Loved: Minar-e-Pakistan towering like the OG influencer it is, still commanding respect after all these years. National History Museum was something on its on. Imagine history class, but actually fun. The vibe: Families, joggers, history buffs, tourists, all blending into a vibrant, very Lahori canvas. Musical fountain: Yes, it’s a little extra. No, I wouldn’t change a thing. Pure magic at sunset. What Could Be Better: The park is massive, and signage could be clearer. If you’re directionally challenged like me, you’ll enjoy a little ‘adventure’ finding the right exit. Crowds can be intense on weekends. Pro tip: Go early in the morning for some zen time. Greater Iqbal Park isn’t just a park, it’s a crash course in what Lahore stands for: passion, pride, and poetry. Whether you're here to chill, learn, or just update your Insta feed (no shame), this place delivers. Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike. Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5 if I could!)

Historical place
Nestled in the serene suburb of Begampura, just outside Lahore's Walled City, lies the Tomb of Dai Anga, also known as Gulabi Bagh. This stunning 17th-century Mughal tomb complex pays tribute to Dai Anga, the beloved wet nurse of Emperor Shah Jahan. As you approach from G.T Road near UET, you'll be greeted by a striking gateway that leads you into this historical gem.
The Tomb of Dai Anga also known as the Gulabi Bagh is a 17th-century Mughal tomb complex located in the Mughal-era suburb of Begampura, outside the Walled City of Lahore, Pakistan. The mausoleum was built in honour of Dai Anga, the wet nurse of Shah Jahan, and wife of Murad Khan of Bikaner. It is located along the Grand Trunk Road on one of the former routes between Lahore and Delhi. It is also located close to the 17th century tomb of Hazrat Ishaan, and the 18th century Cypress Tomb. The tomb of Dai Anga features a gateway that predates the tomb's construction. Built in 1655 C.E. by the Persian nobleman Mirza Sultan Baig, the gateway was originally the entrance to a pleasure garden. The original garden was square in shape, and had measured 250 Guz on each side. In 1671 C.E., the pleasure garden was repurposed into a tomb for the wet-nurse of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, and wife to Murad Khan, magistrate of Bikaner under the Emperor Jehangir. A new mausoleum was constructed in the centre of the garden, which over the centuries has been encroached upon by neighbouring structures, with only a narrow strip of garden between the tomb and gateway remaining.
Muhammad S — Google review
Dai Anga, born Zeb-un-Nisa, was a prominent figure in the Mughal era, known for her strong association with the imperial family. She served as a wet nurse to Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, establishing a deep bond with him and earning the affectionate title "Dai" (nurse). Her relationship with the royal family elevated her status within the court, and she wielded significant influence. Though she was not of royal blood, her proximity to Shah Jahan and the Mughal household allowed her to partake in the privileges of the elite. Dai Anga's influence extended beyond her role in the imperial family; she became a philanthropist and an active participant in the cultural and religious activities of the Mughal Empire. One of her most notable contributions was the construction of a mosque in Lahore, Pakistan, known as "Dai Anga Mosque" or "Masjid Dai Anga." Built in 1635, this mosque is a testament to Mughal architecture, featuring intricate tile work and inscriptions that reflect the grandeur of the era. It stands as a symbol of her piety and deep connection to Islam. Dai Anga was also instrumental in establishing a garden near the eastern side of Lahore, now known as the "Gulabi Bagh Gateway," another architectural marvel that showcases Mughal artistry. This gateway, initially part of a larger garden, remains a historical site, though much of the garden has faded over time. Dai Anga’s legacy is rooted in her role as a nurturer of royalty, a patron of architecture, and a figure of moral and cultural influence in Mughal society. Her contributions to the cultural landscape of Lahore reflect her enduring significance in the history of the region.

While the interior awaits a touch of care and creativity, the exterior stands proudly, weathered yet elegant. A testament to the passage of time, the garden flourishes as a vibrant tribute

Tomb of Dai Anga – Begampura, Lahore The Tomb of Dai Anga is a hidden gem located in Begampura, near Gulabi Bagh, on GT Road, Lahore. I discovered this place during one of my casual visits and was amazed by its peaceful atmosphere and old Mughal-era charm. The structure is open to the public, and although it’s not crowded, it's a quiet place worth visiting for those interested in history and architecture. Dai Anga, whose real name was Zeb-un-Nisa (not to be confused with Aurangzeb’s daughter), was the wet nurse of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. She was a respected and important figure in the royal court. This tomb was built in her memory in the 17th century and shows classic Mughal architectural elements like beautiful tile work and arched halls. Although some parts of the tomb have been damaged over time, restoration work has helped preserve its historical value. The garden around the tomb adds to its beauty, making it a peaceful spot in the hustle of Lahore. It’s a must-visit for anyone who loves exploring Lahore’s rich Mughal history.

My first visit to the place though I have been hearing a lot about it since some time now. Grapes picking was an interesting experience. Kids had a brief horse ride. There was a small "lake" for boating too. Despite the warm weather, some families had BBQ and other arrangements for eating. You can get a tent also, of you wish so. I think this must be a wonderful experience in winters when it is pleasant outdoors.

Aslaam o alaikum wrwb. Our visit was by end of Feb 2020. The weather was warm during the day but pleasant for a good day. The farm has Bull cart ride, Horse riding, Boat ride, sheeps and swings for the kids. We can rent a tent but we personally didn't need as kids just moved around. We took our snacks with tea and mat and enjoyed our picnic. The crowd wasn't much. It would be better experience if one can visit during winters. I hope this be beneficial. BarakAllahu feeki

I can’t speak for the other farm activities, but I strongly advise not taking kids there for riding lessons. They lack certified instructors, and both my children—who once loved riding—ended up scared of horses. My daughter was confidently cantering before we started there. Children’s safety should always come first. Riding should inspire confidence, not fear. Please choose a place with qualified instructors and calm, well-trained horses.

The second floor has active play including trampolines, indoor gym and motorcycle track. it is well maintained and clean and also has a seating area for adults. The overall ambiance is calm and fun which makes it stand out from other playareas that are filthy and give a sensory overload.

Been here thrice now! Following is the analysis: Conclusion (first): Definitely a fun place to visit for young toddlers, even worth the price of 1000rs/hr. BUT not worth it for slightly older kids since their play area is comparatively smaller. Pros: + Cute play area (ground floor) for young toddlers with kitchen (incl. utensils), climbing wall, piano, a toy shop, a small house, ball pit etc. + Abundant staff is present to look after the kids. + My toddler loves it because of the plentiful options to play with. + Price for adults is 200rs/hr which is not bad compared to bigger mall play areas that usually charge the same amount as they charge for the kid. Cons: - The overall space (ground+first floor) is small which would definitely feel cramped in crowdier times. - Lacks maintenance. There are mouldy walls, some near the climbing wall area. Even the small house smells a bit damp. Carpets are always health hazards in such areas, which did not look like they get cleaned very often. - For slightly older kids, the first floor is definitely too small and limited, which does not feel worth it given the 1000rs/hr price, as other much bigger play areas cost similar.
Asad K — Google review
Its a small play area on 2 floors. The ground floor is more for toddlers. And the 1st floor is for a bit older babies as it has larger slides, trampolines and a teenie-tiny race track. Overall the quality of the build is great and cleanliness is also up to mark. The attendants are great and are very helpful and caring towards the babies. They however need to add a few more cars on the 1st floor as there is only 1 powered quad and 1 other manual cart. Kids like it here as it has ample room to move around. Parents can spend time watching the kids; they offer free Wi-Fi so you can do stuff like work or just pass time while kids do their thing. Price is also nominal. They do charge for parents/guardian however if you're to go on the play area. Socks are a must so don't forget to bring or you'll have to buy.

We were happy in last two visits, coming of course for only children activities. However this visit was very unpleasant. While playing with kids, first they asked if kids are wearing socks(5 mins after we payed), than when they found out, they started to ask if adults are wearing socks(not asked previously). Than told us to buy a pair as it was asked by their owner. Thanks for this rude awakening, asked for second adult charges after 40 mins ,even when outside playing area not entering it once. But staff is very helpful so that is why giving one star. However looks owner's greed has taken over them and they have started petty things

Kamran's Baradari, a hidden historical gem, is in dire need of extensive restoration and upkeep. The local community uses the gardens for cricket, resulting in damage to the ancient 15th-century grounds and pathways. Moreover, the pavilion has been transformed into a playground by children who have covered it with graffiti. It is crucial to educate the population about the site's historical significance and promote better transportation options. Despite its scenic river, this public asset lacks proper maintenance and management.
Very good place for person. Not go their with your family because many boys and lafanter or chapri comes their for fun with girls. Just go their for peace and calming your mind. Their have two entry points one is go through boat and other one is go through road.
Umair C — Google review
Kamran Mirza Baradari is a significant historical structure located in Lahore, Pakistan, standing as a reminder of the early Mughal era. Built in 1540 by Kamran Mirza, the son of Babur and brother of Emperor Humayun, the Baradari originally served as a pleasure pavilion. Situated on the banks of the River Ravi, it was once a prime location for recreation and royal retreats. Over centuries, however, the river changed its course, and the Baradari now lies on the mainland, far from its original waterfront setting. The architecture reflects typical Mughal aesthetics — featuring twelve doorways that allow natural ventilation and light, hence the name “Baradari” (meaning “twelve doors” in Persian). Though time and environmental factors have damaged much of its original structure, traces of the Mughal grandeur are still visible in its red sandstone and intricate design motifs. Restoration efforts have been sporadic, but the structure remains evocative of a bygone era of artistic and architectural excellence. Visiting Kamran Mirza Baradari is both a visual and emotional experience. Its isolation from the bustling parts of Lahore offers a moment of peace, allowing visitors to imagine the grandeur it once commanded. Despite being lesser known compared to Lahore’s other Mughal monuments like the Badshahi Mosque or Shalimar Gardens, it holds its unique place in history as Lahore’s oldest surviving Mughal structure. However, lack of consistent preservation efforts has left it vulnerable to further decay. If properly restored and promoted, Kamran Mirza Baradari could become a major cultural attraction. As it stands, it offers a quiet, poignant glimpse into the early days of Mughal architectural ambition and Lahore’s historical richness.

Kamran's Baradari is a very beautiful and ancient art structure buildings. I'm a photographer and this place is Heaven for me. Natural beauty and ancient vibes. But, to reach the actual location you have to sit in a boat and water is very polluted and smell is everywhere. If you can bear this you should have to go there. I only recommend those people who have Pashion for photos. Thank you.

Peaceful and relaxing place. May become a best tourist attraction in Lahore if properly maintained and look after. There is no cafe, no washrooms, no administration, no help desk, need extra care. Lawns and Pools should be properly cleaned and maintenance
Muhammad A — Google review
A very historic landmark but very annoying for 3 points. Firstly, it's very hard to get there bcuz if all the traffic. Secondly, there ate a lot of beggars in the area and they don't let you walk peacefully. Lastly, there is a very bad smell bcuz of the sewage system near it.

The Army Museum Lahore is a significant project that stands out in the region, with its origins dating back to Lieutenant-General Sir Frank Messervy's vision of honoring and remembering soldiers who defended their homeland. Situated at Amjad Chowdhury Road in Kant, the museum's construction began in June 2015 and was swiftly completed, opening to the public in September 2017.

Shahi Hammam, also known as Wazir Khan Hammam, is a historical Persian-style bath located near the Delhi Gate in Lahore. Built in the 17th century, it was an important part of Mughal-era Lahore. Although it fell into disuse and underwent various uses over time, recent restoration efforts have preserved its attractive fresco work.
I recently visited Shahi Hamam in Lahore, and it was an incredible experience. The architecture and detailing are stunning—rich with history and beautifully preserved. Walking through the chambers felt like stepping back in time. The lighting and wall frescoes added a magical vibe to the place. It’s a peaceful spot that really lets you imagine what life was like centuries ago. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate Mughal architecture and cultural heritage. Just make sure to go with a guide or read up a little beforehand to get the full context.

Shahi Hamam is located inside Dehli Gate and built on the concept of the Turkish Bath. Previously, it was such a mess to visit, but it was restored by Walled City aurhority in 2012. Entrance and main hall is decorated with beautiful wall paintings of birds, floral, animals, etc. Better to visit on Sunday to avoid rush of Akbari Mandi.
Shehryar A — Google review
The Shahi Hammam, located near the Wazir Khan Mosque in Lahore, is a beautifully restored 17th-century Mughal bathhouse. Built during Emperor Shah Jahan’s reign, it served as a public bath for travelers and locals. The hammam's stunning architecture features intricate frescoes, vibrant tile work, and vaulted ceilings, reflecting Persian and Mughal influences. Now a UNESCO-listed site, it offers a glimpse into the luxurious bathing traditions of the Mughal era and is a testament to Lahore's rich cultural heritage.
Khalid K — Google review
The Shahi Hammam is an extraordinary testament to Mughal architecture and the concept of public baths in that era. Located in the heart of the walled city, this beautifully restored bathhouse gives visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of Mughal leisure culture. The detailed frescoes, intricate tile work, and stunning domes reflect the craftsmanship of the time. The audio-visual guided tour is highly informative, making it easier to understand the historical significance and the functionality of the hammam. The light and sound effects enhance the overall experience, transporting you back to the Mughal period. It’s well-maintained and not too crowded, which allows you to soak in the atmosphere peacefully. However, parking around the area can be a bit tricky, so it's advisable to plan ahead or use public transport. A must-visit for history lovers and those interested in Mughal architecture!

The Shahi Hammam or Royal Baths are a Turkish Bath built in 1635 in Lahore during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It was built by chief physician to the Mughal Court, Ilam-ud-din Ansari, who was widely known as Wazir Khan. The Shahi Hammam is located just within the Walled City of Lahore, steps away from the Delhi Gate. The Shahi Hammam is the last remaining Mughal-era hammam in Lahore. No longer used as a hammam, the baths were restored between 2013 and 2015 by the Agha Khan Trust for Culture and the Walled City of Lahore Authority with much of the funding provided by the government of Norway. The restoration project was given an Award of Merit by UNESCO in 2016 for the hammam's successful conservation which returned it to its former prominence - Wiki. The site is a must visit on the tourist trail of the Walled City ❤

Built in 1635 but decline in 1800 due to mughal down fall. The hammam consisted of three parts: the jama khana (dressing area), nim garm (warm baths), and garm (hot baths) The baths were gender segregated, and contained a reception chamber as well as a small prayer room. During the visit an retired Army men hosted us and detail all the detail related to this place. He was very generous person and well mannered. He also let us know the secrecy place of hammam where you can talk to each other with walls corner without reaching the sound to other. It was great experience with this man. visitor are advice to get in touch with him to explore this hidden conversation area.

Jallo Park is not so popular spot for outsiders, families and people living on other side of the city they hardly visit this place despite its old park and its the only in city which gives vibes that its Wildlife Park, some points i would like to highlight here Cons 1. Access Road have sanitation issue, too narrow internal roads for movement of Vehicles. 2. Lack of Cleanliness in some parts of park tells Govt is not much interested in care of this area and park. 3. No Proper Cafeteria and services for families as in other Parks of Lahore, lack of facilities is problem there. Pros 1. Park is one of the best wildlife park to see and feel the nature in north east Lahore . 2. Its peaceful and less crowded than other Parks of Lahore 3. In its Vicinity you can visit Botanical Garden specially (inside Butterfly house) is must visit, ticket price is just Rs.50 right now in Jan,2025 which is affordable and peaceful place for families and Play area for children with Proper Parking. Thankyou have a good trip to Jallo!

This place has changed upside down. I visited it 6 years back but now it is completly changes. I feel like i am in Europe or some developed country. It was very neat and clean. well Managed. Aquarium was fantastic. I love the baby sharks the most. A must visit place with kids. The Jungle show at the end was amayzing. Well done Govt. of Punjab.

I recently visited Safari Zoo and found it to be very beautiful. The Lion Safari was especially awesome. There are 21 lions, and you can feed them yourself. The staff provides food for payment, and it was a wonderful experience when a staff member called the lions, and they came to us. We fed them pieces of meat. The zoo is home to many more beautiful animals, and the atmosphere is adorable. The aquarium is one of the largest in Pakistan. I highly recommend visiting with family, especially kids - they'll love it. Hopefully, in the near future, they'll add elephants to the zoo. Must visit!

This place comes highly recommended for animal and nature lovers. It is beautifully designed and well-maintained. Although it is located far from the main city, the visit is definitely worth it. The admission charges are minimal, but the rides are short. The ambience is pleasant, and the crowd is generally quiet. The staff is kind, thoughtful, and polite, providing excellent service.

I recently visited Safari Zoo Lahore with my family, and it turned out to be a refreshing and enjoyable experience. We bought general entry tickets for Rs. 100 per person, and also opted for the EV Jungle Safari ride at Rs. 200 per person — which was totally worth it. The jungle safari was the highlight, taking us through a lush, open area where we spotted various deer species including swamp deer and Asian black deer, along with ostriches and zebras. Seeing these animals roam freely gave the experience a more natural and engaging feel. We also enjoyed the bird section, which was peaceful and vibrant. It featured a wide variety of birds such as flamingos, herons, ducks, peacocks, swans, quails, and many more. It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Although we couldn’t explore everything in one visit, the zoo also offers a Lion and Tiger Safari and an aquarium, which we plan to check out on our next trip. Overall, Safari Zoo Lahore is a great spot for families. It’s budget-friendly, educational for kids, and a nice escape from the city’s hustle. Definitely recommended for a weekend outing!
AHSAN R — Google review
Safari Zoo Lahore is a mixed experience – it’s worth visiting, but there’s definitely room for improvement. The greenery is beautiful and well-spread, making it a nice place for a picnic or family outing. The aviary is quite impressive, with a good collection of birds, and the lion safari adds excitement as you get to see the lions up close from your vehicle. However, some areas of the zoo feel poorly maintained, and a few animal enclosures could use better care and cleanliness. It’s a good place for kids to learn about wildlife, but if you’ve been to well-maintained zoos, you might feel it’s just okay overall.
Bilal M — Google review
Good place. Go with the group package rps 800 includes all rides (jungle safari, lion&tiger safari, aquarium). They didn't let us see tigers and panthers as the track was unstable due to heavy monsoon rains. And jungle safari is the best part
Muneeb A — Google review
Lahore Safary Zoo has been a Great initiative by the government. Since the last 1.5 years, the government has renovated the Safari. It is beautiful and now the Jungle show is also added since the. The jugglers, Different animal disguised. First of all, you take the ticket from the entrance, 800 for adults, 450 for the children. They have also started the helpline now. The birds area(The peacocks, Ducks), Aquarium(small fishes along with 1 type of shark as well), Monkey area. Buses that take towards the Deer, stone mountains and then the Lions Area along with the Tigers that was the best one in the whole Trip. You can feed them as well for 2000 pkr. The last but not the Least, The Jungle show that added more beauty to the trip. The kids are gonna love the most. The Management informed us that the Cinema is under construction now and they are planning to add more animals in the future like Giraffes. The Cleanliness, even the washrooms, the whole area. I think the trip is worth it. But as per the staff remarks, there is low volume of visitors now. The people are not coming due to increase in ticket price. The area that was used to walk with minimum ticket price is now all paid. The best part that separates the Safari Zoo are the animals that are freely roaming around. They have larger area as compared to the typical Zoo cages. That feels so Good watching them. Truly feels like we are roaming in the Jungle. A must Go place with kids, Family. They are expanding more. A Delightful experience that kids will remember. Thank You!

Mohsin J — Google review
Today, I visited the Butterfly House at Jallo Park with my family, expecting a refreshing and educational experience. However, to our great disappointment, we were met with two surprising and unfortunate situations: 1. There was no electricity at the facility, making the environment extremely uncomfortable for visitors — especially families with young children. 2. And even more surprisingly — there were no butterflies inside the Butterfly House! When we inquired, the management on duty informed us that they have repeatedly raised this issue with DG PHA office, but unfortunately, no action has been taken so far. As a public attraction promoted for tourism, learning, and recreation, such negligence not only ruins the visitor experience but also reflects poorly on the efforts of the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA). The name “Butterfly House” loses all meaning if it has no butterflies and lacks even basic facilities like electricity. We sincerely hope that: The butterfly habitat is restored and maintained properly, with butterflies reintroduced. Electricity and basic infrastructure issues are resolved on priority. Visitor feedback and complaints from your on-ground staff are taken seriously and acted upon promptly. We look forward to seeing improvements and a prompt response from your end.

Great collection of artifacts. I was amazed to see such a historic place and kept with proundness, care, love and affection. Very obliged and thankful to Mr. Faqir Saif uddin who gave his precious time and personally told about his collection. Mr. Almas was so welcoming. Anyone who has interest in history must visit this place. Free entry however prior appointment is required.

The Fakir Khana is an old 'haveli' type mansion, and is now the private museum of the famous Fakir Family of Lahore. It is one of the largest private museums in South Asia. Considered a hidden treasure of art: paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, Chinese porcelain, Persian carpets and countless masterpieces of Art, it is situated in Bhaatti Gate area, an old section of the Walled City of Lahore, in Punjab province of Pakistan. The Museum gives the visitor interesting information on the culture and history of the Punjab. The exhibits of the museum include gifts from Queen Victoria and Maharajah Ranjit Singh to Fakir Syed Azizuddin and Fakir Syed Nooruddin who were ministers in his court. The Museum is currently managed by members of the Fakir Family. It is closed to the general public and visitations are by appointment only. People who are allowed to visit go between the hours of 10 am to 5 pm from Monday to Saturday, I believe. It is acceptable to make a small donation to the curator/incharge as there is no formal ticket.

Fakir Khana Museum is one of the biggest private museums in Pakistan. It hosts more than 20,000 artifacts of historical significance. It's best to book a tour in advance and take a good 3-4 hours out from your day to visit. The owner Fakir Saifuddin is a very learned person and a great storyteller. Bring humility and a will to learn and you won't be disappointed ;)

A must see place while visiting old Lahore. This is the largest private museum in whole of South Asia with over 22000 artifacts as old from 18th century covering most of Asia. Mr. Faqir Syed Saif Ud Din, the curator is an encyclopedia within himself. Visit by prior appointment only.

While some suggest adjusting the timing and pricing policies, many appreciate the ample space for various activities and games. With its status as Pakistan's largest trampoline park, FunCo provides an enjoyable environment for all ages, leaving a positive impact on visitors' moods.
Its wonderful and secure. We had a birthday party for teens, kids and adults. We all enjoyed a lot and the zip linning was amazing. Its very clean as well. Good to keep kids busy while the adults shop in packages mall.

A good place for kids and adults to get fully exhausted with exertion of it's kind. Well maintained small area with quite a lot of activities related to bouncing trampolines. Their theme of unlimited jumping is true to core. Uproof Zipline is cherry on top and is the highlight of Funco. No time binding pricing is good enough. Better maintenance can definitely improve the overall look of the place. Good job done!
Nasir A — Google review
Great place for giving some outside time to do physical stuff for kids. The best thing is its one of the very few places in Lahore that offers unlimited play time. Kids love the trampolines. They have a zip line inside the play area which has to be paid separately. They are charging 1200 per person for unlimited play time. Ambiance is great, specially in summers the temperature is well maintained. The only downside I see here is absence of a rest room which is quite a hassle given kids are the main audience. They MUST have a restroom here because its quite a hassle to go to the washrooms inside the mall when this play area is outside the mall building in the parking. They should seriously consider making a washroom and other than that its perfect for kids. They have a small snacks portion here, just the very basic stuff like biscuits and chips etc with drinks. Socks are included in Rs. 1200 that you pay so no need to bring your own or pay extra.

It's quite a nice place inside the packages mall area next to Brave gym. Good exercise and warm up for kids and adults a like. They have a zip line but I guess they have a weight limit plus I might not advise anyone to go through with it... kids do enjoy it.

My experience was so amazing, the games was great, the jumping area was also great. The lighting is so amazing you feel like you are in disco or in party, the crew or training staff is so helpful and have kind behavior towards other, there theme colour is so also great. But they should focus on timing they give much extra time, which is fun but later people will consider it in a bad way. The environment is also nice and people are well educated. There is also a cafe, called "MunCo " It also have amazing taste. I love funCo and looking forward to go more in future. FunCo also arranges birthday parties.

The Tomb of Nadira Begum is a historical site located in Lahore, Pakistan, dating back to the Mughal era. It serves as the final resting place for Nadira Banu Begum, the wife of Mughal prince Dara Shikoh. The tomb is situated at the center of a large pond and is surrounded by four walkways. Despite its remarkable structure and beautiful wall frescoes, it has suffered from neglect by government and archaeological authorities.
Nadara beghum was the wife of mughal prince Dara shikwah. She was buried besides of Harzat mian meer RA. Her tomb located at the centre of lard pound and provided the 4 walkway from each side. Tomb structure and wall fresco work is amazing and lovely. Unfortunately due negligencey of our gov and archeological department tomb pound was finished and converted into park 3 walk way completed demolished. One more sad and shameful work is one side of tomb area converted into cricket play ground. In short word our govt department sone everything to destroy the beauty and importance of this tomb. Now archeological department done few renovation work of tomb and fixed the steel fance around the tomb. A tomb who had a large area in part now just closed with few sq. Meters.

Zero maintenance. Main ground is converted into cricket ground. Building condition is not so good. Not even water drinking available nearby avoid going in extreme hot temperatures
Uzair A — Google review
Within a quiet and empty park, the Tomb of Nadira Begum lingers in a state of disrepair. A relic of history, its current condition speaks of neglect. Surrounded by the solitude of the park, the tomb's worn façade prompts reflections on the passage of time and the memories it safeguards.
Zohaib A — Google review
Nadira Begum got married in Agra, India on 12 February 1633 to Dara Shikoh. This wedding was the most expensive wedding in Moghul history and it cost Rs 32 lakh at that time which is equal to Rs 3600 crore today. Now, Nadira Begum lies here, neglected and desolate. The children playing around her tomb have been suggesting to raze her tomb to the ground so that there is more space for cricket. Such is the fate of a woman - who was once the most important woman in entire India almost 400 years ago. Now, most Lahoris don't even know her name and even those who live in Dharampura have never seen her tomb!!

A great place for the people who love aviation and airplanes. You can go inside the airplane as well as in the cockpit of the plane. Make sure you visit during the daylight so you can get good pictures in daylight. Timings are 3PM to 9PM. The place has a beautiful history but it is very very very poorly maintained. The management should take care of this aviation marvel of history. But still it is a good place for airplanes and aviation lovers. You can go there and see what aviation used to look like in 1960s or 70s

The ticket price for the plane is Rs.70 for adults and Rs.50 for kids. And the ticket price of planetarium is Rs.100 for adults and Rs.70 for kids.

Disappointing, poorly maintained. Ut gives idea as how the PIA doing these days. There is an old plane placed at the site for visitor to see it from inside. The condition of the plane both from in and outside is pathetic, it so smelly and worn out that one cannot spend few seconds inside. Comparing it with Army museum They charge Rs 50 for international level facility with hundreds of well planned and maintained items, while the PIA charges 100 per person for a dusty and worn out plane. I wonder where this money goes why they don't maintain it. The staff here also behave like typical sarkari baboos.

Fun Factory in Lahore, Pakistan is the largest indoor theme park located in one of the city's most popular malls. It offers a vibrant and exciting environment with a wide range of activities suitable for both children and adults. The park is divided into two sections catering to different age groups, providing entertaining rides and games for kids aged 2-16 years. While some find it slightly expensive, others appreciate the quality and technology of the rides available.
4-12 years age kids can enjoy with the available swings. 2-3 years kids can enjoy kitty games here.

A little bit expensive but worthy for short term entertainment for kids as a parent I don't mind spending that much money to see the smile and joy on my son's face. That's all I want. Visited: On weekend Sunday 1st December, 2024 Card Price: Rs. 1500 to Rs. 5000 Ride charges starting from Rs.250

Its a complete scam factory. First of all they had 50% off boards all over the mall but when i asked they said this promo is over. Anways since i was there already decided to give it a shot which I highly regret now. All the games way over priced with worst experience at The Lost Jungle ride. It was 970 per person and literally finished in couple of mins with slow vehicles just doing 2 rounds of same track. No sound effects, no wing water etc. very artificial looking animal statues. My kid didnt like at all. Minimim game is 375 rs. Does not recommend this scam play place to anyone.

Overall a good place with good and enjoyable rides. They also have good gifts for lesser amount of tickets. But two major problems. First is that most of the rides have sometime of issue. And the staff also takes 10 to 15 minutes for solving your problem. The second is the price it is very high the lowest is 360 rs whereas average one ride price is 450 rs. Other than these two problems its okay

Fun Factory at Emporium Mall is a very nice place for kids of all ages 2-16yrs. There are 2 sections. One is for children aged 2-8 yrs almost and the other (Dark city) is for children above 8yrs. The rides and games there are entertaining and kids enjoy it a lot. However the price range of one ride is from Rs 250-450 per child. So it’s on the expensive side. Otherwise it’s a very nice and clean place for kids.
Mehwish J — Google review
Visited Fun Factory Emporium Mall and quite enjoyed it. It's a bit pricey - the ticket price per person for the House of Illusions as well as the Lost Jungle Ride was around Rs 800. 🌟 Lost Jungle was a short train ride in a dark room with moving animals that included dinosaurs as well. However, we were doing a second lapse when suddenly our train stopped moving and we were stuck for a few minutes with a huge t-rex! It was just me and my daughter and frankly we both got spooked out as there was noone else, it was dark, we were stuck and I kept yelling for help but the guy didn't hear us. Then we gathered some courage and walked all the way back through those noisy dinosaurs and alligators ! It was quite an adventure for us but TBH it if were only my kid there who experienced this, I'd be very scared and disappointed. 🌟 House of Illusions was interesting. The staff made us wear gloves and shoe covers to keep the mirrors clean, which was a clever idea. I loved the mirror maze! There were a total of 4 interesting rooms. However when we reached the 3rd room one of their staff members came and stood there for no good reason, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. 🌟 Rides were very unique and interesting. We even won some tickets which we then used for claiming prizes. Overall, I'd say Fun Factory has made a huge and fantastic indoor park. However, their staff is not very attentive, helpful or friendly. Also, it's expensive, but worth the price. We would definitely visit again next time we go Lahore though to explore all other areas we were unable to cover.
-H — Google review
As far as fun and amusement is concerned it's a wonderful place with lots of options to joy and ride but when we talk about value for money then it's a bit expensive. Most of the rides, fun places and Soft Play areas are for young kids but there are few options for adults like Fly Factory 747 and Skyline Impactor etc.
Naseem H — Google review
HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED... Rates are too much high staff is not cooperative, soft play area charging 1000 per baby and even they don't have clean place all toys and mates were smelly, they are offering very less option only hospital theme, restaurant theme, grocery store theme and ballpit with a tiny slide, all things were scattered and not tidy.

Mosque
Dai Anga Masjid, a captivating gem located southeast of the Lahore Railway Station, is a remarkable example of Mughal architecture that dates back to 1635. This mosque stands as a tribute to Dai Anga, the wet-nurse of Emperor Shah Jahan. While its exterior and interior are adorned with beautiful tile inlay work characteristic of the Mughal era, recent renovations have introduced tiles that may not align with its historical aesthetic.
A Glimpse into Mughal Heritage and Serenity in Lahore If you're a history buff or someone who appreciates intricate architecture, Jamia Masjid Dai Anga is a must-visit in Lahore. Nestled near the Lahore Railway Station, this mosque is not just a place of worship but a living testament to the rich Mughal history of Pakistan. Built in 1635, Jamia Masjid Dai Anga carries an interesting story. It's said to have been constructed in honor of Dai Anga, the wet-nurse of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Born as Zeb-un-Nisa, Dai Anga was a respected figure within the royal family, known for her loyalty and devotion. The mosque was commissioned by her and completed before her journey for the Hajj pilgrimage. Her strong family ties to the Mughal empire are reflected in the intricate design and peaceful ambiance of the mosque. The mosque itself is beautifully crafted with detailed floral patterns, arches, and delicate tilework, offering visitors a chance to step back in time. It's not just a historical landmark but also a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Lahore. The surrounding gardens add to the tranquility, making it an ideal spot for reflection and contemplation. What makes this mosque even more fascinating is its connection to other historical sites in Lahore, such as the Tomb of Dai Anga, known as "Gulabi Bagh." This broader context offers visitors a deeper understanding of the significance of Dai Anga's role in the Mughal empire. Overall, Jamia Masjid Dai Anga is a beautiful and peaceful place that captures the essence of Lahore's Mughal heritage. Whether you're exploring the city's history or seeking a quiet place for prayer, this mosque is definitely worth a visit. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning architecture and gardens!

Jamia Masjid Dai Anga is a mosque situated to southeast of the Lahore Railway Station, in the city of Lahore in Pakistan's Punjab province. The mosque is said to have been built in 1635 in honour of the wet-nurse of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Dai Anga. Born as Zeb-un-Nisa, Dai Anga was well respected in the royal family. The mosque was said to be commissioned by her, and built prior to her departure for the Hajj. Her family was closely associated with the Mughal empire. Her husband Murad Khan served Emperor Jahangir as Magistrate of Bikaner, and her son Muhammad Rashid Khan, was the best archers in the kingdom, and died fighting in the service of Shah Jahan's eldest son Dara Shikoh. The Tomb of Dai Anga is known as the "Gulabi Bagh," and is also located in Lahore. The mosque was said to have been built in 1635, however, the inscription in the mosque is said to date it to 1649 Under Sikh rule, the mosque was used as a military magazine under the rule of Ranjit Singh. During the British Raj, the mosque was converted into railway administration offices. The mosque was designed on a scaled down version of larger Mughal mosques, such as the nearby Badshahi Mosque. The mosque is fronted by an 84-foot wide courtyard, while the building itself is divided into three section. The central section is the largest and is topped by a 19-foot dome. This is flanked by two smaller sections with 16-foot domes. The central portion of the mosque is elaborately decorated with predominantly blue, orange, and yellow qashani tile work. The interior also displayed fine frescoes previously, unfortunately these have largely been replaced by modern tiles. The exterior of the mosque has been embellished with fine tile work, echoing similarities to the tiles of the Wazir Khan Mosque. The exterior features rich decorative works in tile as well. The mosque is listed on the Protected Heritage Monuments of the Archaeology Department of Punjab.
Ghayyur P — Google review
The exterior of mosque is beautiful. It's constructed on the same design as wazir khan mosque, has a small pond as well in the courtyard. They have renovated the interior completely on new designs. Also you can visit rail boggis on walking distance from mosque
Jasir S — Google review
Nestled within the city, the mosque stands adorned with intricate frescoes, Kashi Kari, and Naqqashii art. Each brushstroke and delicate detail whispers tales of devotion, while vibrant colors dance in harmony with spirituality. A sanctuary where art and faith intertwine, inviting worshippers to find solace in the beauty that transcends time.

This is very beautiful and amazing mosque build in 1635 mughal era in the honour of wetnurse of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Dai Anga. But now this mosque losing his glory because masque management renovate this mosque with modern tiles and plaster and change the look into modern style from mughal era.
Muhammad S — Google review
Dai Anga served as Shah Jahan's wet nurse and remained an influential force in the dynasty until her death in 1672. She is responsible for several monuments in Lahore that still survive, including her tomb near the Gulabi Bagh garden gate. Her mosque, seen here, was constructed in 1635. Although a relatively small structure, it is notable for its refined use of decoration and its stately three-bay facade. It remains in an excellent state of preservation since Dai Anga took care to donate a substantial waqf (endowment) to ensure its maintenance after her death. However, in spite of this, it was briefly converted into the residence of Henry Cope, a newspaper editor, during the rule of the British. It was restored to its original function in 1903 and has served as an active mosque ever since.
Syed M — Google review
An active mosque. Nicely kept. A quick trip after Dai Anga tomb would be nice. Outside probably keep some upkeep. Area is bit ...

Keeping aside the cost. Not Recommended for below mentioned reasons. -Congested Area, not designed properly and bad utilization of space; specially way towards soft play area -Lighting is very very bad. -Soft Play area has no hygiene rules implemented. Socks must be mandatory which I dont see any. - crowded in peak hours because putting everything under one roof and in odd fashion is the cause. - Bad music like you are in a paindoo wedding and speakers are bad. Really light music will do just fine. Thats all folks!
Uzair E — Google review
The place is very congested and very limited set of activities for both children and adults. bowling alley is good although.

Z F Playland is a fantastic destination for kids, offering two floors of entertainment. The first floor features an array of rides and games that can be accessed using tokens, which are available in different packages. On the second floor, there's a soft play area with small slides, a jumping zone, and dodgem cars where tickets are used for entry. This area offers 30 minutes of fun at an affordable price.
Excellent place for kids There are 2 Floors 1st Floor is for rides and games. Tokens are used for rides and games (Rs. 100 for 10 tokens, Rs. 500 for 60 Tokens) 2nd Floor is for Soft Area (small slides, jumping area, dodging cars) Tickets are used here. Rs. 130 for 30 minutes in soft area. Parking area available because it's located on Service Road.

If you're looking for a budget-friendly, kid‑oriented indoor entertainment spot in Lahore, ZF Playland is a solid option—especially for families with younger children. The diversity of activities, value for money, and convenience make it appealing. Just a heads-up: If you're visiting during sweltering days, bring a fan or plan a shorter visit—some spots may feel a bit warm or under-maintained. And buying stacks of tokens could save money if you plan on playing a lot.
A Q — Google review
Such a pathetic place, eveything in it rusty, worn-out and looks like never maintained. Cleanliness standards were also really low. I would request to rather change the old equipment or please completely shutdown the place
Sumer S — Google review
