Cool beach to spend your summer holidays! It has a perfect infrastructure, nice sand, warm water. For us, it's the nicest beach in Europe.

Long straight beach with white sand. Easy on the feet. The water is shallow so very suitable for kids. Coffee shops and others along the shore. I traveled there in Autumn.

It's not quite summer, but -18°c in deep winter! There is a lot to see on Pärnu beach, the bay is frozen, people are walking and enjoying the sunset!

Long, clean beach. Was completely empty in September. The water is very shallow: after 20m, my ankle was not completely under water. Probably a good thing if you want a photo of you walking on the water.

Town Hall in Parnu is a charming and cozy center with park resources, making it a fantastic stop for travelers between Tallinn and Riga. The city itself is a wonderful seaside resort, proud of its title as the "summer capital of Estonia." With its beginnings dating back to the 13th century, it has a rich history tied to the establishment of a new bishopric.

It's not the most exciting of places, but the wall-top view in the newly renovated garden adjacent is wonderful - worth your time and a wonderful bit of history The soviets made sure to build the Nevsky cathedral a "screw you" distance from it. You'll see what I mean

(Translated by Google) The city of Pärnu is a wonderful seaside resort that can be proud of the honorary title "summer capital of Estonia". Its beginning can be connected with the 13th century. and the establishment of a new bishopric, which had its headquarters here. Unfortunately, the bishop was only there for ten years, before the city and the bishop's residence were conquered and burned down by the Lithuanians. In the same period, a new town was built under the Crusader fortress, a short distance from the old one, and from that time until 1599, two separate Pärna were distinguished, the new and the old. Thanks to the trade route to Russian Novgorod, the city developed well and grew rich. Although it often fell into the clutches of rival armies through its wealth and was burned several times, it always recovered and rebuilt. In the 18th century Tart University moved here for a short time. In the 19th century Pärnu was so important that it competed with Tallinn itself for the importance of the most important city in Estonia. This was amplified after the city became the center of Estonia's national revival in the same century. In the second half of the 18th century Spas also developed in the city, and Pärnu is still the largest resort in Estonia. Thanks to this rich past, you will find a number of churches, beautiful buildings and the remains of a massive bastion fortress in Pärnu. A long promenade stretches along the beach with a number of businesses and hotels of various offers and qualities. In the center there are also a number of restaurants and bars for every time of day. Díky této bohaté minulosti, najdete v Pärnu řadu kostelů, nádherných budov a zbytky mohutné bastionové pevnosti. Podél pláže se táhne dlouhá promenáda s množstvím podniků a hotelů nejrůznějších nabídek a kvalit. V centru je taktéž řada restaurací a barů pro každou denní dobu.

Art Galleries
The Uue Kunsti Muuseum, also known as the Museum of New Art, is a captivating attraction located in the heart of Parnu, Estonia. Housed in the former Communist Party headquarters, this museum showcases an array of contemporary artworks from international artists. Visitors can immerse themselves in thought-provoking exhibitions and even engage with the artists during special events.
Always happy to visit, each year when visiting Pärnu it’s the one gallery to go. It’s also possible to buy from the selection of exhibits but you need to be fast to get better selection. Very often there are multiple exhibitions at the same time.
Siim S — Google review
Many museums in Estonia used to just be dusty rooms with someone's old crap on display and old ladies guarding the coats. Sadly, the downstairs gallery at this museum is still that way. I went to the "Metslased" exhibit, because I'm a major fan of Kaupo Kikkas's photography. But this "gallery" turned out to be just an old bank which has never been renovated--security cameras still hang above the filthy, worn carpeting where the tellers stood. The lighting has never been updated, which hardly matters since the staff did not turn on the lights even after we asked. The art is poorly displayed and difficult to see in the cave-like darkness of this, um, gallery. Kikkas' photos are great as expected, but the others on display, while they may have historic value in cataloguing trees, are not worthy of an art gallery. Their reproduction quality is poor and they are cheaply mounted on foamcore and stuck to the wall with nails. Things used to be cheap in Estonia, and so it wasn't a big deal if you paid for something and were disappointed. But things have changed now. They should pay you to visit this gallery, not the other way around. What can I say that's nice? The lady selling tickets was nice, but the downstairs gallery is a ripoff that the City of Pärnu ought to shutter.
Scott D — Google review
I'm not saying that I hate all the art that is exhibited, but the quality of the collection does not merit 9€ entrance. For a few euro more, you can get into the national art museum in Tallinn or to the national museums in Latvia and Lithuania. Unless you really don't care about money at all, skip this one.
K Z — Google review
Rather overpriced admission (9 euros) for a museum that took me literally 10 minutes to look around, and I was having a proper look at the exhibits. The staff were unfriendly and all looked like they would much prefer to be somewhere else.
Ric T — Google review
The new location in the very center of Pärnu is excellent, and so are this little museum's temporary exhibitions. I enjoy a visit almost every time I'm in town, and suggest you try it out, too. I't not expensive, either, and so visitor friendly in all aspects.

St. Elizabeth's Church, located in Parnu's old town, is a stunning Lutheran church gifted by the Russian empress Elizabeth in 1744. Despite its slightly worn exterior, the Baroque-style architecture and interior beauty make it a must-visit. This historic church, dating back to 1747, is known for its interesting shape and welcoming atmosphere.
The oldest preserved protestant church in Pärnu, situated in the town centre. It was built in the year 1747.

Punane Torn, the only remaining structure from a medieval castle, has been beautifully restored and now houses the Parnu museum. Visitors can enjoy a 360-degree movie on the top floor that provides an overview of Parnu's history from the ice age to modern times. The second floor features a model of the old city and archaeological findings from the area. While some visitors feel that their ticket money could be better spent, others see it as supporting cultural preservation.
The Red Tower is a fantastic place to learn about the history of Pärnu. The exhibition is well put together, informative, and gives you a great overview of the city’s past. The entrance is affordable, and it’s even included in the Museum Card, which is super convenient. I was lucky to be welcomed by Silve, who was extremely friendly and kind, she really made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended if you’re in town!
Navarro C — Google review
What can I say, it’s a beautifully restored tower. The main attraction is the 360 movie on the top floor, takes about 10 minutes and off you go. Basically there’s nothing much more… Not 100% sure if it’s well spent ticket money but you can think of it as a support of the culture, makes you feel good.
Siim S — Google review
Friendly customer service. Great air conditioning. The 8 euro informational film was not worth it. It was a 360 degree film about local history, but you had to constantly turn back to the monitor to read the description. Perhaps hire a voice over artist to record the text so one can listen while enjoying the 360 movie. Or just pay someone to stand there and read it out loud. I can do it on Sunday’s as I have nothing else to do.
Rachman B — Google review
It was closed the day we visited Nevertheless it was an interesting place to visit since it has a lot of history attached to it

The Pärnu Transformation of Our Lord Church, located across from the Parnu Vanapark, was constructed between 1902 and 1904 to accommodate the growing Eastern Orthodox population. The church features a somber red brick facade resting on a granite base and an interior adorned with over 20 icons and religious paintings. Despite its lack of exterior restoration, the church's interior exudes a timeless spiritual atmosphere.
One of the most iconic buildings in Parnu. Definitely worth to see.
Başar K — Google review
East of the centre of Pärnu is the Issandamuutmise kirik (Transfiguration Cathedral) of the Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church. The church was built between 1902 and 1904 in the Russian Revival style. The iconostasis of the church dates from 1927 and was made by V. Melnikov and P. O'Connell. When the Diocese of Pärnu and Saare was established in 2008, the church was given the status of a cathedral. In 2009, Aleksander Hopjorski was consecrated in this cathedral as the first bishop of Pärnu and Saare.

Endla Theatre, situated in the charming city of Parnu, Estonia, is a must-visit attraction. Established in 1911, it stands as one of the country's oldest theaters and is celebrated for its outstanding performances. The theater's Art Nouveau building is an architectural gem that captivates visitors. With a diverse repertoire ranging from drama to musicals and classics to modern plays, Endla offers at least 20 productions annually.
Nice little theatre with quite nice interior. Art shows on the walls, café etc. The impression might change depending on the play, but I personally chose a very good one. Due to the Christmas period, the exterior of the building was also decorated. Normally the building looks quite regular.

Decent theatre but only two cafes, so if it' crowded, you cannot rely on having a coffee during the break. The rows on the balcony are narrow for tall people. The wardrobe was understaffed, we had to wait forever for our coats and there were almist no places to put your things while you get dressed to go out.

MiniZoo in Parnu, Estonia may sound like a place for cuddly animals, but it's actually home to snakes, geckos, and even Nile crocodiles. Despite its small size, the zoo offers an interactive experience where visitors can touch and pet various reptiles. The keeper is known for sharing interesting stories about the different species and even allows some of the animals out of their enclosures.
This place is absolutely amazing! It’s both educational and highly entertaining, making it a perfect destination for families. I highly recommend visiting with kids! The owner is a fantastic storyteller and provides an engaging guided tour through the entire zoo. The reptiles seem well cared for and happy in their environment. A truly wonderful experience!

I loved it. Owner tells facts about his animals in interesting manner. You can eat one of cockroaches, if you are up to. Exotic animal such as small crocodile (not really a crocodile, but similar), lizards, snakes, turtles. It was super experience:) For family ticket - 18 Adult-7

A surprisingly diverse amount of species (snakes, turtles and tortoises, lizards, etc). The owners speak a plethora of languages, drown you in interesting trivia and really seem to have passion for what they are doing. If you are around and you have a thing for crawling and slithering things, certainly a place worth visiting.
Pavel K — Google review
What a great place! I got so much fun there. You can touch and pet snakes, turtles, and small crocodiles. Also, you can even buy a little snake. Iris (lady that works there) knows a lot about all the animals she keeps. If you are lucky to spend there some hour or two (especially in the morning), you will catch the moment when Iris feeds the animals. If not, you can ask this lady to show you how one feeds a spider or a snake. Still feeling only positive emotions!
Valeria H — Google review
Very nice small terrarium with snakes, spiders, turtles, alligators, lizards etc. Very helpful owner speaking at least Finnish and Estonia, possibly English also. ( We did not try ) 2 year old liked dolls and teddy bears etc. available to play with while 7 years old toured the terrarium.
Janne A — Google review
Intense and close up with the snakes! I would call this a tropical mini-zoo as it has mostly reptiles, some spiders and fish too. Staff are very involved and friendly, bringing out scream snakes for people to handle, if they wished.
Jonathan S — Google review
Very small, 2-3 room, exotic animal exhibition, not really a zoo. But the owner is very passionate and answers any questions and is very friendly. Close to a very beautiful parc.

Rannaniidu matkarada, also known as the Parnu coastal meadow hiking trail, is a 600m path featuring a viewing platform located by the sea in the heart of Parnu beach. This well-constructed trail offers visitors an opportunity to explore the unique ecosystem of the city. The walk provides stunning views and a chance to observe birds, frogs, and other wildlife living in the high grass.
A short but lovely wooden walkway by the beach, around 400 meters long. Along the path, there’s a small tower offering great panoramic views of Pärnu Beach in every direction. The tower also has bird identification images to help spot and recognize local bird species. A peaceful and scenic little stop, perfect for a quick stroll and some nature watching.

Beautiful place to walk around, however its kinda small

Nice little boardwalk, plenty to see. Well kitted out beach nearby too and parking is free off season (1.09 to 30.4). Good toilets at car park.

Thoughtfully built over the marshland, allowing you to take a stroll while getting close to nature. Beautiful views of the sunset from here.

A beautiful park, great for a walk in the summer. Lots of trees and green grass, right by the water.

👉 Tallinn Gate, it is the only surviving 17th century gate in the baltic countries, is the only part of the fortification left in Pärnu the rest was removed in the 19th century. ▶️ The gate was designed by the Swedish fortification architect Erik Dahlberg. In old days it was named Carl Gustavs gate after the Swedish king.
