Restaurant
Le Tour du Monde is a trendy and chic bar-restaurant located by the port, offering an accessible terrace and parking. It's known for serving high-quality moules-frites and seafood at reasonable prices. The establishment has a warm and lively atmosphere, attracting both locals and visitors. With its maritime decor, diverse drink menu, and various moules dishes priced under 12 euros, it has become a popular spot in Brest.
Great location, awesome food and good service. Would love to come again before I leave Brittany
Mete E — Google review
Tasty dish of mussels. Great staff. Nice atmosphere. The downside is that they don't serve bread to dip into the delicious gravy, if you're not a French fries' fan... Worthwhile revisiting, though!
Jorge M — Google review
We ordered moules frites à la crème and moules frites au bleu (you can choose if you want your dish to be accompanied by french fries or not, we chose the fries) and then we shared a dessert - Kouign-amann. Everything was good, the portions are big, the kouign-amann is a caramelised pastry, very buttery and sweet. If you are like us and feel full after such a big meal, but still want to try local treats, you can share a portion, it was more than enough for us. The service was fast. For dinner, it only serves food after 7 pm. It gets crowded pretty fast.
Teodora P — Google review
Popular great range of drinks including cocktails and great views over the marina (if you like boats). Bar staff seemed cold and a bit grumpy though.
David K — Google review
I'm from New Zealand and recently stayed in Port de Plaisance. Staff at Le Tour du Monde were so friendly and welcoming, the vibes were cool, but mostly the moules et frites were super good. Merci beaucoup!
Ash — Google review
Great place with a great View over the port. Good for meeting with friends over drink and a good bite. It can get a bit noisy but just like a bar atmosphere where one should not mind the noise but rather enjoy the ambience.
Issam P — Google review
Love this place!! If you are looking for the traditional moulin et frites this is the place to go. All generations there, all day everyday, enjoying the great food, service and views!!!

Le view port is great - service very nice - food ( it depends - if you are 2 month on a boat without stop it is the best food in the planet - if you are a visitor, you can have better fish and frites for shure -

Brunch restaurant
La Coloc' Brest lives up to its name, offering a homely atmosphere with a sea view. The bar is uniquely designed with different spaces like a lounge, library, and bathroom. The terrace provides stunning views of the marina and Chateau de Brest. It's known for its simple yet delicious tartines and an excellent range of beers. The staff is friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming environment reminiscent of an old-school navy vibe.
I discovered this pretty cool spot with a stunning view of Brest's harbour. While it's not a coffee shop, the smiling staff made me feel instantly welcome. The unique decor contributed to the chill atmosphere, making it an ideal place to unwind with a coffee and appreciate the harbour's gorgeous scenery.
John L — Google review
The whole area was mobbed from the maritime festival. Nonetheless, the staff helped me efficiently, despite my language barrier. The very healthy veggie poke bowl was exactly what I needed after several travel days of eating poorly. Radish, edadmame, carrot, white rice, sesame seed, guacamole, tomato, cucumber, cabbage, and some crispy onion topping. The pineapple drink was good and not too sweet. Nicely priced!

very nice beer range, sweet staff - loved the anchor tattoo on the tall brunette - very "BREST Navy, old skool". Feels like a homely bookstore, has board games for kids/unemancipated housemates. The best Mohita according to my guest, and they have a cool Breton t-shirt. That's right tourists, the french t-shirt you all love and that Gauthier stole, is Breton. we are all style and atituide, you see, just crthc below the surly surface .

Very nice. They have latin dance classes almost every day at 8pm. Kizomba, salsa, bachata... I really had a great time.

We love this pub. Irish bars have earned a reputation in France as great meeting places. And the Tara Inn is up there with the best. 99% of the customers are French, the Manager (Peter) is from Galway in Ireland, and could not be more frendly and welcoming, as are all of his staff. Give it a try if you are in the area.

Don’t be put off by the outside appearance. It’s like a tardis inside with a great selection of beers. A massive bar, a darts board and staff that were kind to a couple of Brits with terrible language skills. Open on Monday evening when little else is. We just had beers 🍺 🍺

Bar
Located in the heart of Brest, THE BLIND PIPER is a charming and inviting traditional Irish pub that attracts both locals and tourists. The cozy atmosphere and wide selection of drinks including beers, whiskies, and ciders make it a popular spot for after-work gatherings and weekend meetups. The rustic storefront and warm interior create a welcoming ambiance for patrons to enjoy darts, board games, or simply relax with a drink.
What an amazing place! I was brought in by the rustic-looking store front and the happy crowd gathered outside, not too loud or numerous to be burdensome but welcoming. The inside is all wooden and dark and comfy. The bartenders were incredibly polite and knowledgeable in beer. I started with a blond ale called Ginette, and I need with a Guiness which (I swear) tasted better than any I have had in Ireland. I definitely recommend the Blind Piper if you’re anywhere in Brest. It is on a nice strip where there’s lots to see and most of the clientele are locales who come here on foot but with a nice blend of foreigners. All are treated well and from what I see, leave here very happy and satisfied. I haven’t tried the food which is why I’m not rating it but from what I hear from others, it is pretty good.

This is a great option for staying in Brest. It’s a 5 minute walk from the trainstation, and a similar walk to the main shopping street. The hotel rooms are lovely, obviously recently renovated and very spacious. The bathrooms have a really nice rain shower and lots of room. The superior rooms have French doors overlooking a little square outside. Staff were helpful, I would strongly recommend staying here

Perfect bath accessories such as soap and shampoo and body lotion. All is clean. But mold((( Breakfast without fish is not good idea for 4* hotel. As for me i don’t eat meat. Not because i’m vegan, just because i eat only kosher meat))

The staff at this hotel were professional and extremely helpful, warning us about parking in the square for Sunday (you will be towed to make room for the Sunday market). Our room was spacious, great free wifi, and I loved the balcony overlooking the square. This is an older building and the lobby and our room were beautifully decorated. Great location on the square, easy walking distance to Rue de Siam (shopping and tram access), the city hall area, and the chateau and port. Parking directly outside the hotel on the square is 2-hr, but one street over is cheap all-day parking (free on sundays and after 6pm)

I love this place! Best place in Brest for a beer and a sunset.

... great spot for an evening refreshment , perfectly in the sun at the right time. Stylish interior, and friendly sevice, some good "Craft" Beers, bar snacks & food. Slightly limited seating on the "terrace" but the locals seem to use the public benches too in this go-to sundowner spot. Reasonable prices and yummy home made houmous.

(Translated by Google) When I see the last two reviews (1 star), I have to react. They're clearly fake. It's a place that welcomes everyone, even children. I've been going there with my daughter since she was 10 because she loves to sing. It's become my headquarters, for karaoke and blind tests. Some people even celebrate their birthdays there, and with children. There's a security service that intervenes immediately when (very rarely) some drunken individuals start to misbehave. The owner and his employees keep a close eye on things. What happens on the street is not their responsibility. You can go there with complete confidence. You will always be welcome.

I can't wait to come back soon 😀 No problem with people getting too drunk, the staff was great, even one of the security guards called me a taxi home. I recommend you to anyone who wants to have a great evening without any hassle and in a good mood. Thank you.

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is very heavy, there are always fights, even physical ones. It's a place where you don't feel safe at all. You go with your friends to have fun and have a good time, and you end up in shock. There is no desire to go back, it's a shame because the concept is cool with karaoke and all that, but if the managers leave this ugly atmosphere, too bad, there's nothing we can do about it.

We laughed, we sang, we drank our drinks, sitting in the room. Great atmosphere.
