The food is good and at reasonable price but the service from the staff is very very bad. I dont know whats the purpose of the call button on the table if they are not going to care about it. I used that button to call the staffs 3 times but I was being ignored each time. It is even faster to raise your hand and call the staff. Plus, I ordered the popsicle and initially wanted to eat it after meal, but after a while I decided to have it serve now because they took long time to serve the meal. However, it took them very long to just serve plain popsicle and even worse, the waiter didnt proceed my order in the first place. I ended up went to the popsicle area and picked a new flavour since the flavour I wanted was not available (and they didnt inform me). There’s more, the staff told me every flavour that they had and for one of it, she only mentioned “chocolate”, although in the menu they didnt have “chocolate”, they only had “mint chocolate”. I’m being considerate by giving 2 stars instead of one because they gave us one food for free (didnt charge for it) due to the food being served at room temperature.

To be honest, it was just a misinterpreted menu for me, they displayed a fruit Popsicle which is beautiful on the menu, but then gave me a chocolate ice cream which looked like it stayed too long in the fridge (see the flaky sugar on the middle)... On the other hand, the sweet and sour doesn't resemble any mentioned recipe I tasted before, in a bad way. They put too much dried Italian Herbs, which were not supposed to be in it in the first place. The waiter for me gave me quite a cheerful welcome, so I have no comment about the service, other than a few waitresses staring at me for a moment. But it's all good as for the service. Summer Breeze, please train your cook and present your food better.

This place was great -easily one of the best we have had in Malaysian Borneo so far. Nice selection of dishes. Quality prepared food, and a good pizza! We had the chicken & mushroom spaghetti with spicy sauce, the mushroom and veg pizza, the bbq chicken and the chicken chop. They were all done very well, and nothing was served cold. Great service. There is a button on the tissue dispenser in order to request service, which is smart and convenient. Will definitely come here again on our way back through from the dive resort.

Good quality food for the price. Love the seafood chowder very much. Other food that we ordered are also equally good. The place is quite small but cosy. Very busy during lunchtime but our order did not take that long to arrive. Overall very satisfied and will come here when I visit Semporna again.

We basically got served fried breadcrumbs - frozen market meal. The restaurant locates on the opposite side of McDonald. A bit hidden but it is a gem here in Semporna. If you are not get used to sit in the local place,this is a nice option.Clean cozy and has a huge menu. A mixed of western,local,Singaporean and even Korean dishes. Have to check out their dessert menu,the cake and hand-made Popsicles are really good. Definitely will come back another time to try other dishes. Affordable price and quite a fair portion of food.

Room needs some update.a window would be great. Bed is new and comfortable firm. Bathroom is located outside. Need some privacy installed. There was a boat and the working person peek in. Don’t feel it was safe! Wi-Fi weak. Don’t rely on WiFi!

If I can give a negative rating I would have given -5stars. Tried booking rooms from them thru their email address. Was asked to pay by bank transfer in the same email trail. After payment, they claimed their email address got hacked and they are not responsible for my losses on the actual day of my arrival. No compensation or rooms are provided. Leaving me and my friends high and dry in the night. No compensation, discount and without a room at 9pm. We were left to find and alternative lodging in the middle of the night. Will never ever go there again. This hotel does not care about their reputation or ur well been. Think twice before u book a room from them. BTW, police report had been made.

The area smelly during low tide. Room too spacious for 2 person. Air conditioner was cold but no remote control. The area also loud with people karaoke at the nearest restaurant. The room wall and toilets all made of wood. The toilet has water heater but pressure was low. No breakfast provided. Too expensive for a night stay for a room like this.

I like this restaurant because: 1. One of the best customer service among the restaurants at town Center 2. Good customer service and not rude. 3. Must arrive before 6.30pm for dinner to avoid long queue. 3. Fresh seafood but limited choice. However, price a bit high which similar to the rest near fresh market area.

The service was friendly, we had seafood we had brought with us prepared, this costs between 20-40 RM depending on the size. This also applies if you choose from their aquarium. The preparation was good, but not above average. The side dishes - fried vegetable rice and kangkung were also not culinary masterpieces. The rice was quite greasy and kangkung was stringy - the food was served on plastic plates. The restaurant has definitely seen better days, a renovation would not hurt.

The food taste is above average. And the price is definitely on the low side as compared to west Malaysia (e.g KL or Penang). We ordered 4 dishes (dry butter prawn, fried squid, claypot tofu, and garlic eggplant) and it only cost RM71.50. Another good thing is, they actually listed all the price for each dishes in their menu. So you can order based on your budget. The only downside is the atmosphere, the traffic here is bad, and the noise from those vehicles are annoying. There is also foul smells coming from the drain besides the restaurant. I would recommend try to pick a table at the inner side of the restaurant to avoid this unpleasant experience. Overall, if you are searching for good food with cheap price, this is definitely a place to try.

If not for the location of this restaurant I will give it 5 star but due to the pollution we are inhaling from the car 🚗 fumes while dining it’s not fun , it’s congested area . I went to this restaurant four nights in a row! That butter sauce, oh my. You pay for seafood by weight. I was opting for ~300g for the prawns and ~500g for molluscs. There's fresh and frozen pricing. I think it was 150RM for fresh prawns and 100RM for frozen. Very friendly staff one in particular helped me select options as I'm a newbie to ordering by weight. Veggies were great as well. That blended lime ice drink was delicious!

In terms of taste and price, Then Wang Restaurant wins! You really must give this restaurant a try, you won't regret it. The prices are clearly stated and the lovely staff will patiently recommend you their best dishes. Highly recommended.

Ate here twice, great local spot with plenty of options. Food was very yummy, especially the roti's and noodle based dishes vege in the fried rices was not fully defrosted though and some small bones in the stir-fry's. Service was okay, roti's cooked out near the diners which was wonderful. Fairly clean, seemed hygienic enough. Definitely recommend for an authentic local dining experience.

We ate breakfast twice during our stay in Semporna. Roti canai very nice, teh o ais also nice, not too sweet. Service was fast and the eatery is relatively clean.

Roti were particularly delicious. The Bismillah special was good but rice was a bit bland in taste and dry. More flavour would have been nice.

The food is good, but the customer service is terrible. They serve you what they feel like, make you wait half an hour for your food, and then come back to ask what you ordered because they forgot.

There was a Chinese server and ordered from him. He explained all food comes with preparation cost. If we bring from outside, the prep cost will be higher. The mantis prawns were expensive, so we decided not to. Most of the larger crabs are sold, so we ordered 1 small mud crab, 1 small flower crab and 3 big tiger prawns. The mud crab came with 1 craw missing. The taste was just ordinary. Surprisingly, the food was served really quick as if they were already ready upon ordering. Looks like most customers were China tourists. We ordered cold coconut drinks from the adjacent stall, it was good.

Tried it on the first day in Semporna after hearing alot about this restaurant. Ordered the steamed Stonefish, fried calamari, clam, vege and seafood porridge. The price is ok but the food and cooking is way below average. Wouldn't want to come back after the first try. Seems the focus is mainly for tourist from China, avoid if you're locals as the Borneo restaurant next to it is so much better.

Muslim friendly. One of the most famous restaurants in Semporna jetty area as recommended by our tour guide as we were staying nearest to jetty. Always packed. Get ready to wait. People hailing from KL would find the food here not as tasty for many reasons. We found the fish in most restaurants here are over cooked. Many dishes we found were a bit bland. Only some cooked like spicy salted style were ok. So, we went to look for reasons and found that the main reason were to accommodate tourists from China. The bulk of their income are from them. My ratings are based on our taste tests generally but the Chinese we met were so delighted with the food. One thing for sure was the freshness, really fresh!

And the very next day I regretted it Assam squid very flavourful but a little too salty. I would order this again but tell them to go easy on the salt. Came across this while waiting for the boat to take us to our water house. Really scrumptious meals. We tried the chicken pasta, chicken toast and little noodles. Well prepared, well presented and served by excellent and kind staff. While waiting you can search for souvenirs and trinkets. They also have a good collection of bird nests, pastries , coffee and sabah tea. The choice of furniture and decor done by someone who has great taste. Highly recommend to drop in to bid time while savouring some really glorious food.

The rooms are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast and waffles are very tasty. And the staff is amazing. After a bad experience with a tour operator in Semporna, they managed everything super well (reorganizing taxi etc..), so that we could enjoy the day with other activities.

Amazing Cafe is one of the few places where you can actually stay in Semporna and it's ok. The rooms are ok, the service is good & the cafe is clean and much better than any other place in the area. Either you go to the small mall on the East side of the city or you go here for some nice coffee & food. And if you can, avoid staying in Semporna, but if you have to, because of the diving limitations, Amazing Cafe is the place.

They quite generous with their kaya and butter. Need to come early to get seat. Here you can order all type of toast, and their bread all freshly bake. If you don't like toast then can order roti canai or roti kahwin. Kopi also not bad. If don't want heavy breakfast then can come here before go for island or hiking.

Ordered quite a few items from their menu. The half boiled eggs were cooked perfectly, roti kahwin is good. French toast was really yummy. Prata was alright. But what really amazed me was the mee goreng, I ordered without having high expectations but the seafood mee goreng was really good, the sauce and the mee was so well cooked and the noodles were not too wet but have enough of gravy. I really missed their mee goreng after I have returned to KL.

OMG, Malaysia is so bad in their hospitality. We just kept disappointed to visit here at every single place. Def remove Malaysia from your holiday list!!!

We had breakfast before diving, and we liked it so much that we had dinner the same day after the dive 😊. One of the best Starbucks shop with magnificent view of Semporna harbor! Sitting at the alfresco seats overseeing the sea with nice sea breeze and a cup of nicely crafted coffee is a real enjoyment and good way to recharge. Beside, this Starbucks also has a good selection of cake and pie, which really help people who are not used to local Malay and Chinese food!

this is in a great location few steps from the jetty with cool air conditioning, they even serve local flavour pastry and cake. Awesome ambiance and great waiting place for your bus and boat. Missed out on the 2 star as they still serve drinks with plastic straws.

We had quite a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The orders were served very late, especially the mixed vegetables. We ended up cancelling the vegetable dish because we had already finished our rice and other foods. The salted egg squid and butter-fried prawns were overly sweet, and we couldn’t taste the freshness of the seafood at all. We requested plain soup at the beginning of our meal, but it only arrived after we had completely finished eating. This is actually my second visit here—I was hoping the service had improved, but unfortunately, we encountered the same issues again. 😢 Please do work on improving your service.

We visited on Friday evening for dinner. They are really very busy and crowded. We ordered our food and picked some fish from their selection... they have live options in tanks, but the non-live fish they told us were RM60/kg, regardless of what fish. Make sure you check the gills... cos when I checked, I found one of the fish my husband selected was very old and slimy to the point the gills were grey/brown colour. Take note some of the fish may not be fresh. It was also quite challenging as it seems they cannot speak much English. Another slightly dissappointing thing was that there was a strong smell of rubbish and drainwater/sewage in the entire area. Food took a very long time to arrive. They served our stir-fry vegetables first... but no cutlery at all and no plates or rice. Even after we asked several times politely for cutlery we were ignored for a long time... it was only after I insisted and raised my voice a bit that they did help us to find forks and spoons. By the time we were given cutlery and plates the food was already cold. The fish when it arrived was actually quite delicious. We ordered ikan bakar with turmeric, and nyonya style. Both were delicious and well cooked. But you must be patient because everything takes a long time. You can buy beer from the bar next door and bring it over, they have no problems with that. To pay there was also a long queue... so this is definitely not somewhere to go in a rush. The food is good, but there were also many shortcomings that otherwise spoiled the experience a bit. And of course expect to pay tourist prices in this sort of area.

The main courses were a let down as both noodles were slightly overcooked. All round very good compared to the other places available in Semporna 💕 the drinks are nice and not sweet (we ordered normal and did not ask for less sweet)

I had a great experience at Dozo Nanyang Kopi House in Semporna. The food was delicious, even though I wasn’t very familiar with the dishes, everything I tried was excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the place felt very clean and well taken care of. Prices were surprisingly affordable, making it a fantastic value for money. Definitely a spot I would recommend to anyone visiting Semporna!

I've noticed this happening since last year. I think this branch's management has quality control issues in portioning. This is a cheesecake with a bite taken off of it. This cake can be eaten in just 3 bites! This is not just my experience. I've went to Grabfood reviews for this branch and a lot of negative reviews also mentioned the disappointing cake portions. Their main courses and usually Ok-ish. Their food can be a hit or miss. I've ordered their chicken cornish before and it had gone bad. I've ordered fish and chips and the salad was just tomatoes and carrot slices. *Conclusion: Better steer clear of buying sliced cakes from this branch except for whole cakes. They can't cheat you on that at least. I prefer to eat in Tawau branch. They know what they're doing.

The pizza is great! But the service was really bad the first and the second time by only one of the workers there. She gave us something else of what we ordered and when we complained she was not kind at all. She messed up our order from food to drink. And the second time she told us they had no cans of soda and when we asked another waitress they did have.

had a hearty dinner here. i am satisfied with my food. i ordered kuey teow seafood soup and my sister ordered kuey teow tomyam that were not in the menu😂 they only put mee soup & mee tomyam but we requested for kuey teow instead. the portion was quite big for us, they put everything from prawn, squid in my seafood soup. we also ordered sotong goreng tepung. a bit cold but still crispy. we even ordered nasi goreng for takeway, and the portion was so big, we couldn’ finish it during our breakfast the next day. the location is just next to McDonald’s . we came early so it was easy to get parking.

Came here due to recommendations but needed to share my experience on the 15 March 2025 around 5pm. Ordered 4 items shown in picture and 3 drinks. So when our food were all served, we were requested immediately to pay the bill by the server. Looking at the bill it was showing at 386RM all hand written. My wife noticed a discrepancy and we decided to recalculate and found out it only totalled to 170RM. When I confronted the server she said she didn't know and just took the bill from the cashier, hence she took it back and they rewrote to the correct calculation, no apology. I also noticed other customers paid their bill only after they were done with their meals. Was it because they thought we were easy targets and they wanted to overcharge us off guard? Food were bad, prices were expensive (2 dishes, 2 bowls of rice and 1 coke costs us RM76), and most importantly I don't know how dirty was their food that caused both me and my partner a very bad food poisoning (diarrhea and vomiting) which last until a week to recover. 2 days after we had our food poisoning when we passed by, we saw that the shop had been closed down by KKM for 14 days lol... very very bad.

Travelling with foreign friends, I usually brings them here to try the 'local food'. The Roti Canai is very nice, especially the Roti Canai with egg and cheese. Even the plan roti canai is nice too. My friends also ordered Maggi Mee Goreng, tasty and delicious. Also ordered Roti Tisu, it is a fun-eat, tasty and 'conversation starter' kind of item, especially with foreigners. We ordered Seafood Tom Yam, it is tasty but too 'spicy'. Our bill came to nearly RM150 for 6 persons but that is because 3 friends ordered take-out of 15 plain roti canai and 15 roti cheese telur! Staff is also very good and friendly, despite our many orders and adds-on, she can remembers all our orders without writing down and even serves the correct items to all!

You have to haggle unnecessarily or you are constantly spoken to in an offensive manner. There is a small stretch of the market which is opened at dinner time, for visitors to buy fresh seafood and bring to the restaurants. Mainly targeted at Chinese tourists. It was fun but also very very chaotic, the sellers were shouting and waving seafood in our faces, and the Chinese tourists were yelling back. The lane was narrow and crowded and it felt like most people were just there to "take a look". Prepare to haggle - we bought a small grouper and the final price was 1/3 the original price.

It’s just interesting to see the transactions happening and watch the game from afar. But usually you do get heaps cheaper price here then anywhere else.

This place has two section. One is located inside the jetty awam semporna, another one is next to it. The one inside are operated by a group of women, mainly selling the flesh of cockles and various sea snails. They even sell sea urchins but all are low grade ones. (The edible portion is very small). The one next to the jetty are handled by the guys. They are the ones who will tricked you into buying high price seafood. No doubt the seafood are fresh from sea, most of the seafood are still alive at the time of transaction. I still feel that this place sell overpriced seafood even though you are a Malaysian. Anyway I have bought from both, and I have to say the seafood are very fresh.
