Korhely Étterem is a charming bar and restaurant located in a quiet street near the theater. The venue boasts traditional furniture, straw-covered floors, and an inviting atmosphere. One unique feature is their pet gerbil in a tank. The service is top-notch with English-speaking staff who are attentive and patient. The menu offers splendid wine, well-presented dishes, and prompt service.
I've never thought I would give 5 stars to a restaurant with rats in it 😃 The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Everything was delicious and the portions were big. It is a funny touch that there were all you can eat peanut bowls on every table and the only request is that you throw on the floor every shell after you eat it. Their price is symbolic (around 1 euro per person, I think). Also, the owner definitely has a good sense of humour as the menu is written really witty and I suppose the rats in the aquarium are also there as kind of a joke with all the peanuts and then shells.

The food was really nice! The decoration inside was very atmospheric but we sat outside. Unfortunately on hearing we were speaking in English the two outdoor waiters had a gossip about us which wasn’t pleasant. My other half is Hungarian and proceeded to inform them not to assume anything about us. Their attitude soon changed and service was pleasant and attentive.
Chantelle C — Google review
Outside terrace is nice as inside felt so hot, staff are active and quick, strawberry lemonade was fresh and good, food is good , cooked well but prices high comparing to the meals sizes, shashlik was good but vegetables were more than meet and side dish potato didn’t taste fresh
M A — Google review
My husband and I were looking for a place to sit on a terrace. We thought this restaurant didn't have a terrace, but we happened to walk past and found out they had a terrace in the passage. And we're glad we did. The food is excellent.
Ivana D — Google review
Be careful with the portions, even the regular is generous! Creative and delicious foods in a fairy tail like environment in the middle of historic downtown. Try it and you will love both the scent and the looks. Upperscale pricing but you get what you pay for.
Marton T — Google review
Simply perfect, I definitely recommend it to anyone. The athmosphere in the restaurant is great. On the table, peantus is served and you can eat it as much as you want. Leftovers can be trashed to the floor, because it is used as food for the animals. Food was really tasty and something I have never tried. My recommendation is to order something from “The dishes of the house” section. I had Kacsa mesék (duck tails with strawberry sauce), and Moszkvicssluszkulcs was also great. Prices are more than reasonable for quality of the food and there is no additional or hidden fee charged on the bill. You just pay 450 HUF per person as a fee (for couvert, or peanuts as they have it written).
Matko F — Google review
Stopped to have a late lunch/early dinner. Had this hangover cabbage soup (even tho I wasn't hangovered xD) and omgg it was very-very good! Didn't need any main course anymore xD 100% recommended if you are into soups. P.S. Also this place is hilarious (check the photo spotted in the toilet).
Viktoryia S — Google review
The atmosphere is great, it gives medieval vibes as everything is made out of dark wood and it has straw on the floor. The peanuts are a cherry on top! If you want to experience something unique with great good, this is the place to go ☺️

Blöff Bisztro is a popular spot in the city with a relaxed atmosphere and professional service. The menu features Balkan grill dishes like csevap and pljeskavica, as well as whole roasted Adriatic sea fish, octopus, and squid. They also offer various stuffed homemade flatbreads.
We enjoyed every moment here. From the food to wine and service. There is seating indoors and outdoors. We opted to sit outdoors. A beautiful terrace over looking the national theatre and fountains. All food was delicious, and well cooked. Excellent choices of wine. Superb service. Highly recommend!
Gemma W — Google review
I had the pleasure of dining at Blöff Bisztró, and it was easily one of the highlights of my stay. The setting is relaxed yet stylish, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. I ordered the Orada (grilled sea bream), and it exceeded my expectations. The fish was fresh, beautifully grilled, and topped with a vibrant green herb sauce that brought the dish to life. It was served with fresh, crusty bread and a simple side of greens and lemon — clean, balanced, and satisfying. The plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a delicious seafood experience in a cozy, welcoming spot, I highly recommend Blöff Bisztró. I’ll definitely be back!
Morningstar A — Google review
Just stay in this beautiful city for one night and I’m so grateful to find this restaurant with good food, good vibe and friendly staffs. The beef cheek is so nice that I wanted to order again. The squid is also fresh and nice.
Tang A — Google review
Without a doubt the nicest place I’ve eaten in my visit to Hungary. In fact, it was nicer than many meals I’ve had outside of it. The meat was very well cooked and the flavours worked really well. Nice views…small suggestion though, for anyone with sensory issues, maybe don’t sit near the door outside because anyone who steps onto it will shake your chair (every time).
Anisa ( — Google review
Overall an experience as expected, not better, not worse. Location and atmosphere was nice, food was ok. End of duck breast was too fatty and could have been overall more crispy. The knife wasn't a steak knife, so it was quite difficult to cut the breasts. Shrimp was fine(ish), had better garlic shrimp before. Personally, felt too oily. Perhaps the best meal was "Vadas". Very tender meat and nice overall harmony of flavours. Service forgot to supply fork and needed to ask, but they provided one promptly. It was quite difficult to find the menu online as the link here directs to a non-existent website (paholyetterem.hu), the functional one is paholypecs.hu

Restaurant
Főtér Bistro & Bar in Pecs is a delightful dining spot with a charming indoor dining area and outdoor seating offering views of Szechenyi square. The menu features local wine, beer, and delicious dishes like homemade tagliatelle with chanterelles and deep-fried cheese. The staff is quick, friendly, and approachable, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere. With an expansive terrace and dining room, the bistro offers original cuisine using fine ingredients.
Főtér Bistro & Bar was a great find! The homemade tagliatelle with chanterelles and deep-fried cheese was delicious—creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. We also tried a local non-alcoholic beer, and it was really refreshing and paired well with the meal. The staff were quick, friendly, and super approachable, which made the experience even better. Overall, I’d completely recommend Főtér Bistro & Bar if you’re looking for tasty food and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Maciej R — Google review
We really enjoyed the food here, they have a special type of pizza base which is excellent. The salad was the best we have had in Hungary so far!
Jo E — Google review
Főtér Bistro Bar is a real find and we absolutely recommend it to everyone visiting the city centre. The combination of location, quality of offerings, and service is truly exceptional. Dream Location: The bar is situated in a fantastic location, offering a view that stretches directly over the main square. There is no better place to sip a coffee or a drink while watching the city bustle. Winning Offerings: While the drink selection is solid, the absolute highlight is their homemade lemonades. We can confidently say that these are perhaps the most delicious lemonades we have ever tasted! Also, for colder days, the hot chocolate is excellent and a real treat. Comfort and Service: The atmosphere is very pleasant. The owners have thought of everything—it's truly great that blankets and a heating lamp are provided at every table. This allows guests to enjoy the terrace for longer, regardless of the outside temperature. The service is super—the staff is friendly, fast, and attentive, which completes the positive experience.
Happy H — Google review
I ordered mangalica steak and was dissapointed. The meat tasted good but the size was a joke, much smaller than usuall “steak”, especially for the price. On the other hand my girlfriend ordered some kind of cheeks and the meat was great, it melts in your mouth. Stil If I had to choose I would not go here again.
Motivation K — Google review
The food was good and the service was friendly but it took very long to receive our food. They had blankets and heating lamps on each table. Location is also great!
Deni D — Google review
Due to it’s location on the main square I was a bit apprehensive, but Főtér turned out to be great. I had the wild boar rib steak and it was delicious. Recommended!
Ben S — Google review
The lemonades were actually pretty good, but that’s where the positives end. The place wasn’t busy at all, but we still waited around 40 minutes. The “pizza” was dry and tiny, and the pasta was CRAZY salty. On the bright side, the staff was friendly, so there’s that.
Boris P — Google review
2nd Visit here. This time for the palinka so any quality in this review is lost among all the dead brain cells. But the interior is nice Nd the palinka varieties nice as well. Maybe too much stock photos on the walls. Avoid the corner table when it rains because the AC will kill you.

Restaurant
Fiacre Restaurant is an authentic Hungarian eatery conveniently situated in a central location. They offer a reasonably priced lunch menu that includes soup and a main dish, available until 3 pm. Dinner portions are larger than those served during lunch, with many customers opting to take leftovers home. The food is skillfully cooked, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. While the pricing outside of the lunch menu is acceptable, it may not be considered cheap.
The food we ordered had very large portions and was delicious. The dessert also was very delicious. The server seemed unhappy while serving us but we still enjoyed our experience in the restaurant.
Briana G — Google review
This was such a brilliant dining experience in Pécs. I was here visiting the university (also very nice) and this was highly rated. We asked our server what his favorite local dish was and he said the catfish stew with cottage cheese noodles. It was brilliant! If you can handle heat get the tomato peppers which are super spicy and added a nice kick to the dish. Would recommend it!
Natty S — Google review
The atmosphere is good, the food portion is quite good, the prices are reasonable and not expensive. And the beer was so good the crafted one and the cherry (the cherry one doesn't have the usual cherry bitter taste) On the other hand, the rice was a bit not well cooked, and we had to wait a bit more than usual for the food, (if it's not the daily menu).
Shady B — Google review
Not a fancy restaurant but the food is delicious! Stopped twice. Once, I had a goulash soup with beans. Didn't need anything more after because it was huge XD
Viktoryia S — Google review
Great authentic Hungarian restaurant in central location! They serve an affordable daily lunch menu until 3 pm (soup + main dish). The dinner portions are larger than the lunch menu portions. We took half of our meals home after dinner. Everything was well cooked, seasoned and presented. The pricing besides the lunch menu is OK but I wouldn't say it's cheap. Note, that sides are ordered for additional charge. They accept credit cards. Customers pay their bill at the bar.
Emmi P — Google review
Amazing restaurant! Location is good, easy to locate. Spacious family restaurant with high chair for kids. The food was delicious absolutely authentic Hungarian food. We ordered Salmon Steak, Beef Stake, Risotto and Pasta. The portions were so big that one person couldn’t finish one full plate. The waitress was humble and extremely polite. I will come back here again when I am in Pècs.

Eozin Corso is a charming dining spot located in the iconic Corso building in Pecs. The interior has been transformed to create a bohemian, theatrical atmosphere with unique handmade tables, bookshelves, and burgundy curtains. The menu features simple yet diverse options dominated by grilled dishes and obligatory burgers. Visitors praise the attentive staff and delicious, well-seasoned food. Situated near the main square and other attractions, it offers generous portions at fair prices.
Wonderful place, amazing quality. Really huge portions of food fair prices. Kind service. Absolutely recommended, we didn't expect the fries is included in the menu. I can't imagine a better place for have a good and substantial lunch or dinner.
Bence K — Google review
The need for palinka outweigh the need for service. But if you enjoy a staff talking at the bar, not knowing who works there or who's their friends, then this place is the best. And if you want to feel that you annoy them by even stepping in the door the go for it.
Jon B — Google review
The food was extremely disappointing after a long waiting time . The Chicken asparagus looked and tasted like it was homemade with low quality products, won’t recommend to eat here. The view to the Pécsi National theater is nice though.
Eduardo M — Google review
Local food, good variety of wines, local wine, local beer, palinka - national spirit drink
Merle L — Google review
Waitresses unpleasant from the first moment and unwilling to work. The bar was supposed to be open until 1:00 in the morning, and an hour and a half before that, they refused to make us a second drink. Nevertheless, the other table still got a drink. Cocktails were not much. I don't recommend it just because of the service, which will spoil your mood for the whole evening.

N-Eozin Grillterasz, located near the Barbican Tower, is a trendy and colorful beer garden offering various seating options, from large tables for groups to smaller terrace tables. It's a cozy spot to meet up with friends or colleagues and has reasonable prices. The venue offers a nice view of Pecs city and is perfect for dining, enjoying wine, or watching soccer games. At night, the place transforms into a different world with good beer and BBQ options.
A very cosy place to meet up with friends or colleagues. We had a get-together party which was normally scheduled until 22h30 but every body just wanted to stay until over midnight. The price is reasonable and you'll have a nice view from the top towards the Pécs city.
NH B — Google review
Really cool terrace bar with a fairly decent grill menu. Cheap beer and great atmosphere make this a place you can hang out at all evening! Also, surprisingly, the DJ wasn’t awful!
Andrew D — Google review
Nice terrace with beautiful view, and more or less that's all. Maybe the better time for visiting this place is evening ( maybe latter is better). For late Sunday lunch wasn't a best choice. Food is bad quality, portions are poor, and expense. However it is far away for good decision to eat there. There are much better places for eating in Pécs. A big minus here are wasps who are dangerous if you are eating a meat meal.
Volim H — Google review
The place is amazing, especially at night. You feel like entering different world. The beer is good and same is valid for the BBQ. If you are looking for a place to relax after dinner this is the perfect one also.
Martin P — Google review
Great place to hang out, drink and eat. I think our waiter was overworked or had too much to deal with on his own ? but otherwise a good service.
Jessica A — Google review
Overall its a very good place to chill relax and have fun. However, not sure what the employees have been through each day but they tend to be very disrespectful to the customers especially non-hungarian people. There are some who are nice and some who are really disrespectful, not being able to talk nicely with their customers and not being able to even kindly ask for certain permission for example turning off the TV while customers are watching. No doubt a very good place to dine but atleast have some respect to others who are non-hungarian as well.....

Nice beer garden. But also perfect for dining and having a good glass of wine. The perfect spot to enjoy the evening with friends and definitely the best option you can get to watch a soccer game im the upcoming World Championship.

The waiter who is a male ,,was very rude with me and my friends on top of that we bought food for 1 person the three of us because we wanted to share a plate and we even confirmed this with him ,then he made us pay 3 times the price which was littterally unfair and scam,If you are an international don’t go to this place they will treat you

It's popular among locals and tourists for its hearty dishes like goulash with potatoes and authentic Hungarian flavors. The atmosphere is genuine, attracting older locals who come to chat, play cards, and enjoy banter.
Great unassuming place, proper down to earth atmosphere. The staff were absolutely lovely. The food, spot on, highly recommend the Gypsy roast. I like how you can also order small or large portions. If you need the toilet, ask the staff for the key. There are a lot of fancy eateries nearby but we will be coming back to this one (the prices are kind to the wallet too)

It was a really good place before, but when recently we ate here it was not the best.😥 Won't come back.
Kris ガ — Google review
(Translated by Google) I've been to this place several times, at one time more often, and I've always received kind and polite service. :) I usually ask for double gyros, with zero soda, you usually made things according to my taste! I visited just today, but unfortunately, due to the loose "prices", I will now visit this place less often. :( You could see from the conditions, from the "signs" that you are a place that has seen better days, it's sad... Even on a summer weekday (today), during the 15-20 minutes I was there, I didn't see a single guest coming in (oh well , the shopkeeper next door) besides me, I think it's telling, I saw customers come in at peak ages during the shorter time I was there... :( However, the most important thing is that I was able to eat and still eat good food... That's why I got the 5*!! !

Formerly known as Aladin Gyros, this fast-paced restaurant specializes in gyros, falafel, and pizza. Diners rave about the quality of the meat and fresh ingredients used in their dishes. The gyros plate features a unique hint of cumin that adds an interesting twist to traditional recipes.
Most probably the best gyros in town. Not that rubbish kebab, it's gyros. Highly recommended.
Andrew S — Google review
Good clean restaurant . Had a gyros plate today, it has a hint of cumin in it which is not part of the original Arabic or Turkish recipes..meat quality was good and salad and fries were fresh..good spot for students 👍
Atropin I — Google review
The meat was dry definitely not fresh. Instead of chicken they use turkey. I asked for rice as a side and was given the paper plate without any side.
Christian B — Google review
Tasty food for a normal price. The staff is usually nice and the gyros and hamburger gets ready really fast.

It was called for Aladin Gyros in the beginning now it's Repeta. When do I get back to the city from abroad my first thing is visiting my fav place.

I ordered a gyros plate, but the meat was pretty chewy, in my opinion. Not the best gyros place in town.

While it may be slightly pricier than other nearby options, the quality of food and friendly service make it worth it.
Perfect lunch place, good selection of Hungarian dishes in a clean and nice setting, very affordable. The entrance is through the coffeeshop on the corner then a few steps down. Highly recommended!

It is cheap and you can find good meals usually. The environment is clean and normal. The foods are often repeating but the menu contains much to select from every day.

Love the food, nice serving sizes, and great prices to boot! Homey folk food, good variety, and there's always special for lunch. It's a bit pricier than other options nearby, but it's hard to come out dissatisfied from here. The lines that form here are a testament to their quality. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Maestro Pizzeria offers affordable prices and generous portion sizes, making it a budget-friendly option for those looking for a downtown restaurant. One surprising aspect is that they are open during their business hours, including Sundays, which is not commonly found in the area. The pizza at Maestro Pizzeria is of high quality and there is also a pleasant terrace available for customers to enjoy. It's important to note that there may be additional charges for service at this establishment.

Burger King Pécs Drive is a popular fast-food destination known for its grilled burgers, crispy fries, and delicious shakes. Conveniently located near Route 6, it’s a go-to spot for many visitors to the area. While service can slow down during late hours due to tired staff after long shifts, the overall experience remains enjoyable. The drive-through tends to get busy around lunchtime but is managed efficiently.
Very cute place all the med students always hang out here, the servers speak english and the screen has english so you can order if you dont speak Hungarian without talking to people. Food is ready fast and is good

Usually not too crowded. Speaking of crowd, there're usually crows outside looking to steal your fries... it's part of the magic;)
Attila N — Google review

Richard E — Google review
I stop here practically every time I'm in town. Right by Route 6, it's easy to get to, though the way out through Aldi's parking lot is set up kinda stupidly. The drive-through gets backed up around lunchtime, they usually sort that out quickly. (May2021) You need your vaccine card to eat in.
Viktor R — Google review

To be honest, stuff was a bit slower...everything was like in some slowmotion...but that was understandable! I have visited this Burger King at about 23h, and working time was till midnight. So, there was a long day behind stuff and understandable, they was a little bit, hm, sleepy ☺️. I am looking forward to visit this Burger King again, in some 'proper' time ☺️

Giovanni is a charming little eatery that boasts a delightful wooden patio, enveloped by lush trees, creating an inviting atmosphere, especially in the evening. While their pizzas are truly exceptional and stand out even in this cozy setting, other menu items may not be as impressive. The staff can exhibit a bit of attitude at times; however, if you focus on enjoying the pizza and the ambiance of the patio, your experience will likely be enjoyable.
Super great to eat and drink something. The serve good beers from different countries 👍 dinner card is only Hungarian bur Giovanni is more than willing to help you out.. Great service!! I recommend to come to this place 👌10 +

A lovely little spot, great food, cold beer.
Imre B — Google review
Good atmosphere on the wooden patio, surrounded by trees, especially at night. The pizzas are quite remarkable for such a small place, but their other dishes aren't that spectacular. The wait staff has some attitude, but as long as you're there for their pizza and the patio, and not nothing else, it's enjoyable.
Balogh D — Google review
Great dishes and rich topping pizzas on affordable prices, some 5 kind of good draught beers. The staff is kind helpful and funny. The serving takes some time so prepare with beers... The terrasse is convenient. The place is in the middle of the local's neighbourhood so you can get quite authentic contemporary feeling (which isn't unique rather simple)

Pizzaklub is a delightful gem that captures the essence of Italy right in its vibrant atmosphere. The spacious dining areas are complemented by friendly staff, making it an inviting spot for pizza lovers. With a menu that's both simple and diverse, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Diners rave about the delicious thin-crust pizzas, which are best savored fresh out of the oven. While many appreciate the affordable prices and welcoming service, some have suggested adding vegan options to cater to all preferences.

I love this pizza, came 20:50, really hungry, this lady told me really impolite that they will not serve any pizza because it’s closed. Here it says it closes 21:00, then write also 20:50. Now I’m hungry and really disappointed Update: pizza today was to tasty, have to give 5star again

This place truly gives off an authentic Italian vibe. I personally love the interior, the pleasant and friendly atmosphere, the staff, and the spacious dining rooms. While this already looks good, the food takes it even further. The menu is simple yet diverse, and you will certainly find your pick. As the name suggests, this is a pizza place, and they definitely do justice to it because the pizza is great, the quantity also, and the price is really competitive (probably the best price-value ratio in the city). If you crave a good Italian pizza, you shouldn't miss Pizzaklub.
