Fantastic food, vibes and service. This is an excellent restaurant if you are a solo traveler because there is individual counter seating on the kitchen side of the restaurant (“split” into two buildings on two sides of the street) where you can watch the chef at work. Dinner and a show! Staff were friendly and genuinely seemed to be having fun. Great experience and delicious food. I had the squid and a cheese plate. Tiramisu looked amazing.

The place smelled amazing from the street and turns out it was coming from the place we had read about on several pages. My boyfriend got the veal liver and I got the hake with polenta. Both mains were tender and delicious and worth the wait. The place was busy. It has two locations across the street from another. The mood of the kitchen staff was jovial and relaxing. We really enjoyed our meal. We would happily come back here again.

Small, family run business with an amazing atmosphere and one of a kind vibe. Unfortunately, our own experience with the food was negative. My wife ordered the beef stew, and I the anchovies pasta. The beef stew was nothing but bones, fat and cartilage, so my wife couldn't eat it. The pasta was also not to our liking. The guys offered us kindly the drinks on the house, but i refused and paid the whole bill. We ended up eating somewhere else.

If you are looking for a small family-run restaurant with local dishes made with simple and fresh ingredients, then Villa Spiza is the place for you. It's quite a small restaurant, so it gets crowded very quickly however, we went there around 5pm and it was super quiet so we didn't have to wait. I ordered the Dalmatian Prosciutto, wich was served with bread, olives, salad, and the most amazing sun dried tomatoes I ever had in my life. The prosciutto was so tasty, I thoroughly enjoyed it and the portion was quite generous. As main, I had the tuna pasta which was so tasty, it honestly reminded me of the tuna pasta my mum makes at home back in Italy! Please be aware that payments are cash only, so make sure you have cash with you.

A lovely small family owned restaurant and heads up, it is cash only there. We enjoyed our very first meal in Split at this restaurant. I went for the sardines starter as never had them before and they were delicious! I then went for the calamari as my starter and it was a very unique meal that I enjoyed a lot! Service was great and I couldn't recommend this place more if fancy some home-style cooked meals!

This is a popular restaurant with no reservations. Food prepared is fresh and the items on the menu are available till the ingredients last. We had the Dalmatian prosciutto, fried squid and sea bass. The taste is quite fresh.

If you love a meat sandwich, this is for you. My wife and I shared a medium sandwich and we were stuffed. Little beef sausages stuffed in the most delicious bun with red sauce and onions and cheese. Saw it on Somebody feed Phil and we knew we had to have it. Absolutely delicious. Cash only!!

I might consider moving to split just to eat here everyday. Get the full cevapi beef special with the red (ajvar) and white (kajmak) sauces and onions. The bread is so soft and tastes buttery. A must visit in split

Cevapi is life. Cevapi is love. Cevapi is the best. I ended up eating lunch here several times and still can't get enough. Get yours with all the fixings and eat it on the bench outside. Wonderful sandwich. No notes. I want more.

Never had a sandwich like this before. The bread was soft and not chewy at all. The meat tasted of high quality and overall, a very delicious sandwich for lunch. Recommend if you want something than a focaccia which many shops sell in the old town.

There's a reason why this is the best sandwich in Split since 1916. We went there for a quick lunch and decided to have a small cepavi each (8.50€ each - cash only). It was absolutely delicious. The bread was so soft and moist with the meat juices, the meat was so tasty and full of flavour. For that price, it was a top lunch!!

Great food at a reasonable price. A must have for budget travellers. You don’t need google maps to find it, just follow the trail of people leaving with sandwiches in their hands. The bread was fresh fluffy and delicious, the wine cheap and good and the fillings were amazing. Fabulous cevapi - loved every mouthful. Thera limited seating and it’s hard to stand inside without getting in the way so best to eat on the move or takeaway.

The best meal we had in Split. (Okay, we have one more night, but I feel confident that this will be the best.) Amazing food and service. Do not miss the tonnarelli with Adriatic squid and olives. Shocked it wasn’t more full on a Saturday night - hidden gem!

Was here with my friend for dinner, came at around 7pm and was no line. Tried pasta with and octopus and olives 🫒 Portion size was great, really juicy and delicious. Also, waiter shared couple dishes which are not on the menu - risotto with meat and another with seafood. He said those are one of the most popular meals.

We were in Split for 2 weeks and ended up dining at Apetit 3 times. The food was fantastic, the service was top notch and the atmosphere was great! Each time we ordered something different and all of them were superb! My only regret is that we didn’t get to go back again as there are still a few dishes we didn’t try.

We went for dinner as a couple and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour (we forgot to take the pictures sorry!). Tuna tartare was really smooth and melty, and we got the beef medaillon which was also delicious. The service was excellent, with staff taking the time to describe each dish, which made the meal feel even more special. The wine list by the glass is well curated, featuring a good selection of regional wines. Warm atmosphere, attentive service, and great food. Highly recommend!

Apetit is a great dinner choice in the old town of Split. We got the Adriatic Squid and White fish. Great presentation, excellent flavors, and the olive oil they use is great quality. The Tiramisu was also delicious and freshly made. A little pricy for the portion but overall a good pick.

We walked past as we were wondering around Split. The restaurant is well put together with simple and natural decor, and the food seems to follow a similar stylist choice. We ordered the Eggplant Tempura, Tuna Steak, and Pašticata. All of which were wonderful to eat in perfectly sized portions. The staff was very professional and the appropriate amount of attentive. I would recommend this place for a evening dinner any day of the week.

A small birthday dinner here last night with friends and everyone loved the food and drinks. We tried many dishes including squid, whole seabass, pork ribs, pasta and roasted veggies. Everything was cooked well, tender and tasty. Pleased with our choice. It was also reasonable cost for the portions and quality of food. Great job, Apetite!

This restaurant is by far my favorite! The ingredients are fresh, the food is delicious, and the service is great. We returned to this restaurant two times in a row and ordered the same dishes—Pasticada with Gnocchi and Cod Fish Brudetto, which is made from dry cod fish. The texture of the dry cod reminded me of my Chinese heritage, as we often use dried seafood in our dishes. It evokes nostalgia and is full of rich flavour.

We had dinner - beef goulash and mash, pasticada, house red, and local beer. All was good good, service was excellent, food came out quick and the waiter was really nice. Mains were 20€ & 13€, the beer 4,5€ and house red 3,5€. Its right next to the promenade and quiet ambience! Lover it and would recommend stopping by for a dinner.

I asked chat gpt to recommend a good and cheap Dalmatian Restaurant and the first result was this Restaurant. I liked it so much that I came almost every day to drink and eat . I tried the tuna pate , grilled veggies, goulash with mashed potatoes and the Cevapcici. Everything was great ! The waiters were very friendly and the service was always fast …. My experience at Fife was just amazing. We order the "Pasticada" and the grilled Seabass and both of the dishes were absolutely tasty. The sauce of the "Pasticada" was perfectly sweet and sour and the meat was delicious. The seabass was just grilled to perfect and had a potato side that was just mouth-watering. The people there were very friendly, very nice and cordial. The atmosphere was also very nice both inside and outside the restaurant.

Two days in a row were fantastic... if I visit Split again, I'll definitely stay here again. Day 1: The Dalmatian prosciutto starter was delicious, but unfortunately sliced ​​far too thickly. The olives weren't worth the name – the cheapest quality. But the main courses on both days, "Sarme" (sarma) and goulash, were 3 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟... Ordered the salted sardines (€5) and scampi (€25), both were a disappointment. Sardines were overly salty, and the scampi had barely any meat and came in shells, which I wasn’t expecting. “Fresh” orange juice (€6) tasted bottled. Paid €36 and left hungry. Felt like a tourist trap. I feel that in split there’s a pressure to tip, even when the experience doesn’t merit it, but at least the waiter let me know I could skip it, which didn’t happen in other places. Although I tipped anyway. Response to the owner: I understand salted sardines are meant to be salty, but that doesn’t mean they should be inedible. The scampi had very little meat and no sides — for the price, that’s alarming. The orange juice didn’t taste fresh, and I didn’t see it being prepared. Dalmatian food is not defined by your restaurant (thankfully), as I’ve tried other restaurants and had much better experiences. If I wanted junk food, I’d have gone to McDonald’s, but I didn’t need to as I had this experience going to your restaurant, except that it was more expensive. I expected quality, but left hungry and disappointed. Additionally, responding to customer feedback with sarcasm isn’t the best way to represent your business.

Hands down best konoba in Split. Central location, very reasonable prices, house wine is 3,50! And the food is soooo delicious. We ate here half of our stay in town and I regret not trying the sea bass earlier it was so good and fresh and I know a good fish when I try one. They have a good selection of grilled and pre made dishes, traditional ones too. If you want to eat good, this is the place to go.

I visited this wonderful restaurant twice on my first day in Split, as the menu and my first experience during brunch were very satisfying. Located right in the Center of the old town the atmosphere especially during the evening is what you would expect from an old City Center with lots of beautiful architecture and restaurants and cafes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, while the food tasted very very good. For brunch I had the avocado and salmon with scrambled eggs with nicely toasted bread and afterwards the banana bread with caramel cream. Both was served quite quickly, which served me well as I had been to the gym right before. For dinner I tried their baked Camembert with caramelised onions a followed by their ravioli filled with ricotta and prawns on a nicely made sage sauce. None disappointed and I highly recommend.

A really nice place with interesting options, great flavors, and beautifully presented dishes. We ordered the Caesar salad, a breakfast burger, and the avocado & salmon sandwich – everything was delicious. The Caesar salad especially surprised us with its size – huge and very tasty. The homemade lemonades were great too – I highly recommend the strawberry one, as the others didn’t compare. On top of that, the service was very friendly. Highly recommended!

We stopped by Bepa for dinner and had a great experience! To start we had the tuna tartare, which had excellent flavors. For our mains, we had the prawn ravioli and the makaruni & beef. Our drinks were great too!

10 stars! Taste, portion, atmosphere, this is the full package. Eggs Benedict had graduated to this full flavor dish and the banana bread is also a highlight- soft, delicious and savory. Loved the strawberry lemonade too. Excellent service, thank you 😘💓🤩

Really great place for a breakfast open face sandwich. The flavours meld nicely. The atmosphere is cute! You need to mention to them not to use so much Mayonnaise. It's like a half a cup and it's unnecessary. They can Over easy the egg If you request it.

Menu is not big, but enough to choose from. Ordered the steak Tuna and a burger and both were really tasteful. It has a nice view over the square, people are friendly, its a good spot to eat, drink and hang out for a while.

The fish platter was out of this world!!! We were fortunate to have tuna so fresh that is was in the sea 1 hour before it was served to us. We have had many fish options during our stay in Croatia and Konoba Fetivi was definitely the best! It was simply prepared and perfectly cooked! Absolutely delicious!! Lovely restaurant. We were feeling wary after having had a not so great experience at another nearby restaurant but this turned out to be our favourite restaurant experience of our entire trip. We were sat in a covered outdoor area that was nicely shaded and comfortable with a lot of fun decorations on the walls and even a nice little vintage sewing machine on a nearby table (which, as a hobby sewer, I was delighted to see). Our waiter was friendly and attentive and brought out a tray full of the fresh fish they had available that day. We were able to try out scorpion fish which was expertly prepared (and tasted amazing!) and which we opted to eat with a side of grilled vegetables. We also had a warm appetizer of octopus and chickpeas beforehand that came in a sauce so tasty we used almost all of our bread to sop it up. At the waiter's suggestion we finished our meal with their traditional layered cake (containing figs and walnuts) which was moist and flavorful. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Our dinner was started with a warm welcome. Easy-to-read menu with all prices well listed. The next thing were were presented was the fresh fish platter that allowed you to choose the fish you want, there were turbot, grouper, red snapper, sea bass, sea bream, monkfish, cuttlefish, etc. They would have other sizes available just make sure you ask. We ordered a red snapper, size for two persons and it was perfectly grilled in whole. All we added was some olive oil and salt & pepper. We also tried their black risotto and it tasted like heaven!

One of the best experiences we've had in Croatia. Everything was fantastic, fresh, and perfectly cooked. We ordered a number of different dishes instead of the main grilled fish (since we've done that at other places and wanted to try more stuff) and ended up with a spectacular meal. Really fresh and well grilled seafood! We saw great reviews of the prawns cream soup and it did not disappoint. We also chose grilled flounder and octopus, which were both really good too. This restaurant is really cosy and pretty on the inside, and service is prompt and friendly. Would recommend! Make a reservation if you can as we saw quite a few people being turned away!

The black risotto is hands down the winner of the day! Rich and creamy and the octopus so very tender. It's a must-have when you dine at Fetivi. The grilled octopus was the most tender and savory we had in Split compared to two other restaurants we visited in Split. And the chef's selection of grilled fish was a very generous portion for two. We highly recommend Konoba Fetivi for anyone wanting the best locally cooked seafood in Split!

We had a team dinner here with a group of 30 people—seated at three long tables, and we were very well looked after throughout the evening. It‘s a fantastic restaurant: the outdoor seating is charming, the view is absolutely amazing, and the whole atmosphere felt just right. The menu offered a great variety—everything we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. The fish was absolutely amazing. The service deserves high praise, too. The staff were attentive, friendly, and very efficient — they managed our large group seamlessly.

This is a beautiful location full of beautiful, well dressed people enjoying the night out with delicious Croatian cuisine. I enjoyed a mezcal negroni and my husband got a mojito. Beautiful and peaceful setting on the coast. Michelin rated (2025). Tranquility combined with exceptional culinary experience. We tried the fish soup and the tuna cannelloni filled with foie gras. On 13.09.2025 When we arrived at the Dvor Restaurant, we were delighted by the ambiance. We were greeted by the friendly and cultural restaurant staff. We had a beautifully decorated table. We ordered an 8-course dinner recommended by the host and champagne recommended by the sommelier. As the meals arrived, the flavors were fantastic and unforgettable with top-quality wine. At the end, a 3-course dessert. We had an unforgettable time and it will remain in our memories forever. We will definitely come again.

Nice refined restaurant. My partner ordered lamb chops and he really enjoyed it. There were not a lot of vegetarian options, there were some side dishes and they also offer pasta and risotto with tomato sauce and vegetables. I ordered the risotto, it was nice but it didn't have a wow factor. Nevertheless, I ordered the lotus dessert and it was AMAZING, that was the experience I was looking for, a great combination of textures and flavors. I highly recommend it :)

We ordered the tuna and liver roll, tuna steak and crab pasta. Tuna is fresh and juicy. Crab pasta also decent. But in general not the best restaurant I visited in Split.

We had a very disappointing experience here and definitely will not return. For starters, we ordered the soup and the codfish spring roll. The spring roll was the only decent thing we had crispy, flavorful, and well done. Unfortunately, the soup was a complete letdown. It was bland and absolutely no richness or depth you’d expect from a restaurant charging these prices. For mains, I had the squid ink risotto and my husband had the Angus beef. After our starters, we were left waiting almost 20 minutes for the mains. The risotto was dull, lacking any balance or seasoning, and had an unpleasant aftertaste. The Angus beef was chewy and poorly cooked, paired with mashed potatoes that were supposed to be elevated with truffle oil. As a country that actually produces truffles, this version was shockingly below standard flat, oily, and with none of the fragrant quality you’d expect. Service made the experience even worse. We were given a completely different menu from another table, which left us questioning whether there was some form of bias or discrimination happening. And when we asked for the bill, a female server simply pointed her finger at my original (male) server, refusing to assist and continuing her personal chat instead. Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and unacceptable for a place that positions itself as “above average.” Overall: long waiting times, overpriced dishes, inconsistent menus, poor service, and food that is far below the mark in flavor and execution. One good spring roll can’t save an otherwise awful dining experience.

Bokeria in Split is a beautiful restaurant with a stylish and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel like you’re in a special place. The presentation of the dishes is excellent — everything looks amazing and carefully prepared. However, while some plates taste just as good as they look, others don’t quite deliver the same “wow” factor once you try them. Prices are on the higher side compared to other spots in Split, so it’s definitely more of a treat-yourself place. Overall, Bokeria is worth visiting for the ambiance and experience, but not every dish lives up to its presentation.

Truwel and prosciutto pasta was delicious, Caesar salad needed more sauce. Soup was ok, byt nothing special; soparnik is really good here, recommend it. Amazing wine (local chardonney). Service is very good and attentive.

Sat upstairs by a window. This place was really good. Everything was executed perfectly. The sea bass with the cauliflower puree was a great combo. Dont skip soparnik either for the appetizer!! Would 1000% return. Great location in the old center of Split

Had a great sea bass meal here this evening - very reasonably priced. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and a great vibe atmosphere. Without doubt, if you are into Croatian wine, this is THE PLACE in Split to visit. They have over 160 Croatian wines to choose from, ~30 of which you can buy by the glass. I had a Grk, Pošip sur lie, and a dessert wine all from Croatia - the first two with my sea bass. All were excellent!

Pair it with a Medica, Croatia’s honey rakija - it’s smooth, golden, and just sweet enough to round the salt of the sea from the risotto. This restaurant charmed us completely! The historic setting with its gorgeous interior made dinner feel special. Food was delicious - modern takes on Dalmatian classics with perfect execution. Their wine list impressed us with excellent local options we wouldn't find elsewhere.

Delicious meat wraps made with love! The bread is fresh and crispy and despite our tiredness, the staff were all smiling and energetic. I had the Skinny Chicken which was very flavourful; messy, but tasty! The restaurant is owned by two sisters who are passionate about their business. It was lovely hearing their story and the idea that they wanted to start a franchise (please come to Liverpool, England). We mentioned that we read them in the easyJet magazine and were recommended them by our tour guide, so it must be good!

Lovely place. All meat except bacon are halal. The staff (especially Milka) was so kind and explained how they will clean the grill and cook our food separately to prevent cross contamination, and would not put any bacon in our meals. Hidden gem in split especially for Muslims looking for halal food. We really enjoyed the truffle burger, and definitely get the chips with the chef sauce!!!

The hospitality here was exceptional. You can tell the people who work here love their jobs and love taking care of people. The woman who works the register was phenomenal at efficiently helping everyone and making them feel cared for at the same time. The food was the best I had in Split. It was so much more flavorful than other sandwich shops. Not only are the prices reasonable but the portions are generous. If you want something quick and delicious to fill you up for a day of sight seeing or before a night of drinking, this is your stop. I tried the Sexy Cow, Smash the Moo, and the Out of Control. Each was amazing! I don’t think you can go wrong here. Between the food and the service, I am a raving fan!

Viisited here in after reading great reviews, but my experience didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered the Sexy Cow burger and Skinny Chicken, both of which arrived cold and were overloaded with salad, making it hard to taste the meat. The burger was underwhelming, with barely any beef flavor, and the Skinny Chicken was only slightly better due to roasted onions. On the plus side, the owner was friendly, but overall, the food didn’t justify the price. I wouldn’t return.

Had a great meal here after recommendation and seeing their advert on Easy jet magazine. Came with 2 older boys who absolutely loved it. We had great food and service with 2 passion fruit cocktails. Great staff and passion for fresh food. Wraps amazing

A pretty great experience with service in comparison with other places in town. Friends and I had a pretty unsatisfying experience with other places in Croatia, so Sexy cow for us was such a lovely place where it feels like they’ve been waiting for you. Proactively asking for a feedback and wishing you to enjoy the time. I wish more people try to visit this place. The food was delicious and without a long waiting time. I think mainly the people who works there makes it so special and wanting you to come back. I went there twice without any hesitation during my 3-day stay in Split.

Very cute Mexican restaurant in old town Split. It's a great option if you're looking for something a bit different from the other restaurants in town. Excellent veggie and vegan options too. The food is very tasty but it's not served spicy so you can add your own heat levels. For spice lovers the hot sauces are exceptional and have a fantastic heat. Great margaritas also! I love how they donate money to the street cats of Split. A nice kind idea.

Woowwwwww!!! Such an exceptional service and food, you must go to this place in your tour to split! Definitely can't miss if you are a Mexican food lover and like different flavours bursting in your mouth giving your palette a rich ride of tastes coming together so nicely...It's a small place and hence you might have to wait until being seated if you are going on weekend, but I promise it would be worth it ... Being a vegetarian this is a gold mine to find!!

The food was authentic and full of flavor, but what really stood out was the service. The staff went out of their way to help us choose dishes and even offered different sauces to try, which made the experience feel personal and thoughtful. Everything arrived quickly and tasted great. The only downside was the portion size—it felt a bit small for the price. But considering the location, right in the heart of the castle area, that’s somewhat expected. Still, for quality Mexican food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I loved trying tacos around the world. These were genuinely some of the best I’ve had in Europe. I ordered several options - pork rib (Al pastor), carnitas, and beans & plantain. All incredible. The horchata was a 10/10 and my husband also had the fish tacos, which was also incredible. Can’t go wrong with this place if you need a break from all the local classics. :)

A fantastic find in one of the small streets or Split which is like stepping out of Europe into Central America. The food was fantastic, traditional dishes with moreish flavours. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Be aware it is cash only, but there is an ATM around the corner. Definitely worth a visit. Pic is of the three tacos (fish, mushroom and vegetable)

We had a spectacular Mexican meal in To Je Tako. We tried the tacos, burritos and quesadillas. All beautifully presented and were delicious. Staff are very friendly and attentive. A great evening. Highly recommended. Sin é (that’s it) 😀.

The food was incredible with lots of options for vegetarian, spice and your fav Mexican classics. The food is well worth its price (€16-25)- delicious! Drinks were tasty and fast to come out.

Nice mix of meat and seafood options. Finished the sea bass as you can see there was little left. Wasn’t that flavourful but cooked perfectly. Had a mixed board including scampi and tuna pate that was the highlight of the meal. The waiter was happy to create the mix for us.

Amazing place. Another hidden gem in Split. We have brunch offer and we were only customers in another side of restaurant. It was quite extra ordinary experience. Very helpful and nice waiter serve us and food was good. The best thing was privacy and intimacy and nice background music. I will come back everytime to this place, when I am in Split.

We thought Konoba Metajuska should have been a 5/5 rated restaurant! We had the seafood platter for two, the price was reasonable for a touristy area. We especially enjoyed the grilled squid and the mussels. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We sat outside and enjoyed soaking in the atmosphere of Friday night Split. Highly recommend!

Everything was fine. But not much more. Peter was very friendly and did his best. But the food was not great. If you pay 50€ for a small fish, you expect it to taste exquisite, exiting or at least great. It was around good. Do not recommend. There are better alternatives.

Had such a fun evening here with a friend. We passed two guys having the most amazing sharing fish platter on our walk home and we fancied that too. So we went along and had the dish for dinner the following night and it was absolutely delicious! We had a wonderful young server, Michael, who was really good fun and attentive and there was a great atmosphere. We ate outside the restaurant, on the side street, which was really cute. Would thoroughly recommend!

The best restaurant we visited during our holiday! The host is extremely friendly and has great knowledge about the food and the wines that pair with it. The mussels and the meat platter were incredible! The potatoes (note: NOT the fries!) were also prepared in a really delicious way. Highly recommended!

This was recommended by a local, and I have to agree with all the previous comments. The service isn't great and the staff tend to be a bit rude, but if you have patience and wait, you'll get some help and a delicious meal. We waited about an hour on a Friday night (and were first told it was impossible to get a table), and we weren't disappointed. Ask for local dishes and eat what they recommend! The creamy fettuccine pasta was our fave.

Great spot, had it recommended on a tour. You MUST book a reservation to get in or get lucky. The zuchinni, shimp gnocci was absolutely amazing and highly recommended. We just ordered a few dishes and Split (pun intended) and with all things here the portions are great sizes. Nice atmosphere and good service, don't forget to tip, they will remind you at the end. Great time we had and an attentive server that gave us some good choices to pick from

Hidden gem in Split! The food is down-to-earth delicious. We tried the pašticada — the meat was incredibly tender, and the gnocchi had that perfect QQ bite, almost like boba in milk tea. We also had grilled monkfish (grdobina pršutom i prilog). The texture of the monkfish was so unique and tasty, it really brightened up our meal. Definitely worth a visit! As for the service — if you’re expecting fine dining, this might not be for you. The staff are quick, focused, and just get the job done. Personally, I think that’s another type of charm of this place.

The restaurant has a rustic vibe and serves authentic food! I absolutely loved the Pašticada with gnocchi, which I believe is one of their signature dishes. It was an amazing experience! They also offer the best house red wine from a fishing island called Vis. The wine has a deep, gorgeous red color and a full body, with no bitterness or dryness in the aftertaste. We were even treated to two complimentary 2 shots of liquid/alcohol, though I'm not sure what it was. It tasted great! I highly recommend making a reservation, as they tend to book up quickly!

2 visits now to this local konoba. Great food, atmosphere, reasonable prices. Mix of locals and tourists. The pašticada, the black rice and especially the monkfish were all excellent! Well worth a visit!

Lovely meal, great atmosphere to the place and only just outside old town. Had the ham and cheese plate for starters, they brought out bread for the meal. Risotto and Pasticada as our mains - both lovely and rich, the seafood in the risotto cooked perfectly and the Pasticada being slow cook beef in a casserole-type sauce. All delicious.

This place is legit. The food is so good. Far better food and better priced compared with tourist traps in the middle of old town. Yes the staff may appear a little gruff at first, but they are professional and will be more than happy to give you their recommendations if you ask.

This place is a great if you want to experience asian cuisine in Split. The food was really tasty and the portions were big. The prices were cheaper than most of split. The service was kind and fast. The atmosphere was warm. But the only bad thing is that the space is small and a bit too crowded.

Silk has a great menu which you can choose to share or have your own meals. The Asian fusion was delicious and wouldn’t be out of place in Melbourne. Highly popular place, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but it was well worth it. The eggplant fingers are amazing.

Nice small place, good atmosphere. The food was good, but the only deception was the ceviche, that was not a ceviche at all. It was more like a tiradito and it had tons of coconut milk on it, so you couldn’t taste anything else on the plate. Instead of being a refreshing dish it turned out to be anything but that. Also this plate was really small for the price. Wouldn’t recommend it, but the rest was nice.

Silk is one of my favorite places. Been to the one in Zagreb many times and now tried Split. Food is great, not too much seats in Split but I’d recommend to go here and enjoy the food.

We had the Hong Kong noodles with prawn and it was tasty but not a very big portion at all. This dish was €24.50 so pretty expensive (for any country) and the total bill was €58.00 for 2 dishes and 2 soft drinks. The tables are pretty crammed in so you sit very close to the other customers (all with chopsticks in hand and bits of food/sauce splashing around) so would be difficult to recommend for a meal out.

Needs reservations esp on weekends, extremely hard to find a spot even for two people otherwise. We had to come back with reservation next day and the place was packed, didn’t enjoy sitting so close to the other customers really Food is really good, drinks are nice. They have alcohol and non alcoholic options. Portion size is fair and filling. But definitely overpriced. We got two starters, two mains and two drinks and ended up spending close to 90€, not including tip Service was only ok, when my husband was done and I was still not finished the waiter did take away my plate until I protested, this was awkward

We are a little bit disappointed. They got so many positive reviews, but the food wasn’t worth the high price. The soups was good, the fried rice was nice, but it wasn’t that special and too expensive. The service was terrible. No mocktails or cocktails. The best part was one of the waitress spilled our drink, she said sorry and nothing else. No convenience for emptying the bottle.

Need to order from inside and numerous seating rules exist. Service pretty average and breakfast food not great - egg on toast is actually a toastie. A number of guests arrived and left without ordering due to the seating rules. Good place to people watch though.

Mama burger is in a very strategic location to watch people go by in the Diocletian Palace area. You order inside, but seating is outside which is lovely in the evening. The burger was excellent, and the sweet potato fries were really good. The chicken wrap was ok. It wasn't too busy when we were there and staff were friendly and conversational in English

I guess the prices are in line with the other restaurants in the old town, which is the reason I would recommend to look a place a bit outside of the center. This could be good for drinks only, because the location is nice on a small square. Unfortunately the red wine was served in piccolo bottles, and we’re not even poured to the glasses. Felt like being in an airplane, but in the plane the service is usually better.

I love a good burger once in a while and this is one of the best I have had. French fries were also very good but comes at a price.

Good borek - we got meat and potato. He gives you a generous slice. The pastry was flaky. Could be filled with more meat but overall really enjoyed. Good for grab and go!

This was hands down one of the best street food experiences we had in Croatia — and easily the best value. For just €3 you get a huge piece of Burek, a golden puff pastry made of delicate, buttery layers stuffed with either meat or cheese. My wife and I split one beef and one cheese, and while both were tasty, the meat one was our favorite. Be warned though — these are filling. For the price of a coffee elsewhere in Europe, you’ll be full for hours on something that tastes remarkable. What made the experience even better was the hospitality. The guys at the counter were super friendly and laid-back — even something as simple as filling our water bottle was met with kindness, which isn’t always the case in places like Italy or France. Their easygoing vibe and genuine warmth made the stop even more memorable. Delicious food, unbeatable price, and authentic hospitality — I’d come back just for them. Highly recommend!

The most flaky, crunch Phyllo dough I’ve ever had. We shared a beef Burek and a spinach cheese burek. So delicious and filling. Just a warm delicious meal.

There is a reason why this business has been around for 40 years - it is quick, filling, and delicious street food. It is a small place that offers street service, counter service take-away, or counter service and have a seat at one of the few tables. There are several options, but depending on when you arrive, there may not be many choices left - it must sell out fast when it opens. We were lucky enough to get the last piece with meat. It reminded me of a traditional meat pie, but made of great tasting Philo dough. A great local choice. Thanks.

We loved this restaurant so much. The food was delicious, we shared some sushi rolls such as California roll, spicy tuna and avocado roll. We also shared an amazing peach salad, the peaches were fresh and very sweet. My husband said the oysters were excellent and this was the first place we could find oysters available in split. The best part was our waiter Alex, he taught us more about the palace and its history. He was so kind and welcoming. Amazing experience.

Best sushi in Split and possibly ever!!! Perfectly prepared and best presentation ever witnessed. I've had lots of sushi from okay to what I thought was really good, but this was outstanding (new level to beat)! If you are a sushi lover would definitely go here if you are in city! It was expensive but quality was worth every bite. Unfortunately my pics are a little dark but served on ice and temperature was perfect!

The sushi we had at Adriatic was very tasty. The fish is sourced locally and therefore tastes very fresh. Our waiter Ivo was very kind and professional. Desert options change by day - we had a very nice 'modern' applepie. The terrace is warm and cosy - the perfect date spot.

Absolutely amazing experience! The pizzas we ordered were just bomb – full of flavor and perfectly baked. The salad was also super fresh and delicious. I personally had the Pizza Istriana with truffle cream, and it was outstanding – I shared a slice and everyone who tried it agreed it was something unique and truly amazing. The smoky taste (probably from the bacon) gave it an extra special touch. Great food, friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

Amazing pizza - mushroom and ham was simple and full of flavor. Delicious side salad very fresh and healthy. House wine was easy to drink. Very very quick service and a calming ambience on the terrace. The waiters were very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend.

A lovely little pizza spot with a charming terrace. The menu is small – just pizzas and a few salads – but everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We ended up coming back for a second evening because we enjoyed it so much. The service was great. Even on a busy night, the staff checked in to make sure everything was okay. The terrace has a special charm – small, cozy, and beautifully overgrown with plants. On our second visit, the waiter recognized us right away and gave us a very kind farewell. Would definitely come back!

This place is like ART. My little dessert eggs were just delightful. The food was great. Just don't get overambitious and over order. Freestyle means it's not made to any set traditional recipe, suits me fine - better than eating various iterations of the same thing, you finish all the traditional recipes in a short time in Croatia. My boyfriend and I went here yesterday for dinner and were so amazed by the food! We passed by and thought it looked very cosy so decided to try. The food was so so good and without a doubt the best we’ve had during our whole vacation (which was 13 days). Our waitress was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Mala is incredible and made our dinner absolutely phenomenal! Each dish ordered was fantastic, we even requested to meet the chef and he was just so humble and kind. This was by far the best dinner we’ve had in all of Croatia, and we’ve been here for 7 days and went sailing to multiple islands and this was our BEST meal! Definitely recommend!

I don't know how to explain this place... don't hesitate and just go there. I had a sensational experience. Especially the "smoke on the water" and " ballad of the salted sea" were next level. We visited Brasserie on 7 everyday during our recent holiday in Split as it was nearby our hotel. The breakfast menu had a good variety of options available and I tried to have something different everyday. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is in a lovely location overlooking the water. The food was all great and the portions are very generous.

Massive fan of this place despite the 2 year old review. The staff here were extremely friendly, and the food was excellent. Particularly the meats and cheese board: I found the meats here less salty than their Italian equivalents. The cheeses were excellent, especially the sheep cheese that paired perfectly with the fig jam.

Brasserie on 7 is a beautiful spot right on the Riva, perfect for enjoying the sea view while having lunch. We ordered the Caesar salad and the lamb — both were good. The salad was fresh, but maybe lacks some ingredients, and the lamb was well cooked and very tender. The service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than some other places in Split.

Delicious and simple breakfast! The eggs Benedict was amazing. Service was somewhat poor, I had to wait 15 minutes to get my check and the server rarely checked in. Lovely atmosphere though!

We were really disappointed with parts of the meal: • The beef tartare was poor in both taste and presentation – definitely not worth €32. • The Caesar salad lacked flavor. • The chicken add-on (extra €6) had a strange taste. • The Caesar dressing was watery and bland. However, after we politely shared our feedback, the staff removed only the items we didn’t enjoy from the bill – which we found to be very fair and professional. Service throughout was extremely friendly and attentive. While the food didn’t fully meet our expectations, the way our concerns were handled earns them 4 stars.

Excellent oil-themed restaurant. The quality of the food was superb. We tried the octopus salad, white fish and the amazing seafood pasta. The ice cream with a touch of oil was amazing. The woman was very clisé and professional. They also offer wine-tasting.

We cannot rave enough about our wine tasting experience at Uje!!!! Marina’s knowledge, professionalism, and kindness did not go unnoticed. I’m gluten free, so she immediately ordered gluten free bread for myself so I could be included in the tasting. My friend is also vegetarian. Marina went out of her way to bring her tomatoes instead of prosciutto so she could taste certain notes in the red wine. We left feeling like Marina was our own Mama taking care of us!!! HIGHLY recommend as a must!!!!

We enter the Uje Oil Bar today and we're treated horribly. My wife & I were deeply humiliated. We sat down at a table for two. There were a couple of empty tables that could fit 4 people. We said hi to the people seated near us and we were greeted with smiles. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes and a waiter/host came to our table who advised us we are not to sit there & we were instructed to leave. His tone & abusive actions were rude & mean. We were glad to depart this highly prejudice establishment. So sad that such a place exists in Split, Croatia. A hudge DISAPPOINTMENT. We do NOT recommend.

The place is very nice, quiet, comfortable. But we were disappointed with the food. We ordered risotto with prawns, pasta and pork steaks. Meat was delicious,but the portion for 29€ is really small, there was no side dishes. Risotto was salty and full of sauce. But the dessert was delicious. We visited the restaurant several years ago and were happy and very satisfied with the food, sizes and prices. This time really big disappointment.

Mazzgoon is a charming restaurant offering both indoor and outdoor patio seating. This is a family run modern European food restaurant. We dined here in the evening on the patio. The weather was perfect. We were enveloped by the dim lighting and the history of the castle walls, a truly magical vibe. We truly enjoyed our dishes. Beautifully presented. The only disappointment was that the mussels were almost too salty to eat. Our waiter kindly explained they don't add salt as they come from the already very salty sea. This made sense. We ate them anyway, with a lot of additional beverages lol

Amazing restaurant to have dinner in Split. It has a rear terrace outside , quiet and aside from the busy street in the center of Split. The food was very tasteful, good quantity and good price for the dishes. The waitress were very nice and giving a great service. I fully recommend to have dinner in this beautiful place in the heart of split !

Stop walking around tourist restaurants and get a meal here! We tried many of the top places in Split (and Croatia) and nothing beats this place. The service is so gentle and warm. The head chef Ante is a genius. At age 23 he runs an incredible menu. Peter our waiter was amazing with food recommendations and service as very quick. We recommend the local cheese platter and the mussels fettuccine pasta. A big bonus is their quaint outdoor seating for the best private dining experience. Will be back on our next trip to Split. P.s video was taking after closing time.

Had dinner here this evening and had a fantastic time! The food was delicious and great value. My friend had the aubergine risotto which she said was delicious and I had the slow beef risotto and as the waitress described it's a "party in your mouth". The staff were amazing! They were super allergen conscious. My friend has a severe nut allergy and they couldn't be more understanding and helpful. They were also very informative about the wine and dishes. The atmosphere on the roof top is exquisite with old movies showing on a projector. I'm so glad we came across this restaurant ❤️

My wife and I went here the other night for supper. I definitely recommend making a reservation to eat up on the roof - amazing atmosphere. After being seated, we were quickly met by our waitress and she took our drink and food order. I will say that being on the roof after sunset is a perfect meal. They project old movies on a building next to the restaurant - very unique. Our G&Ts tasted great with a local tonic. Our meals were fairly quick to come out and tasted great, and the waitress was very nice and helpful with menu explanations. I would like to point out another interesting thing on their menu - you can buy meals for the needy by adding them to your bill. The money is collected and at certain times of the year (Christmas, etc), food is delevered/provided to needy families. I think this is an amazing idea, as you enjoy your delicious food, you know that you can also give back to those less fortunate in the community. Thanks.

We had the slow cooked beef rib and the duck. The food was tasty and price was reasonable for the quality. Duck dish could have been a tiny bit hotter but nice experience overall. The rooftop setting was a great atmosphere. Enjoyed our meal out.

Beautiful roof terrace just past the end of the boulevard. Good option if you're looking for a bit more elegance to your dinner, beyond what a regular Croatian konoba can offer. Dishes on the menu sound creative and exciting and are sourced locally (so is the wine list). We had the bruschetta with sheep cheese and aged ham (pršut), followed by an excellent artichoke risotto and seafood orecchiette. The risotto was our favorite; very fresh, perfectly al dente, and a good balance between olive oil and zesty lemon. The seafood pasta was tasty and contained a nice amount of courgette to balance the saltiness. Very high quality food, living up to the expectations set by the relatively high menu prices. Portions were a bit small though, so I would recommend ordering an additonal main course to share. We had just one glass of white wine, which failed to impress. However, the salted honey whiskey sour I liked a lot. Staff is friendly and more than happy to provide recommendations. The inside of the restaurant looks modern but still cozy, but the roof terrace was even better, with a 1950's black and white movie projected on another building to complement the ambiance.

We didn’t have the chance to sit upstairs as it was already full, but we were seated on the ground floor right away. The food came almost immediately, which was a pleasant surprise, and everything was delicious. The staff were very kind and took the time to explain how our dishes were prepared, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only disappointment was the Pavlova dessert. It wasn’t quite what we expected , traditionally it should come with fresh fruits, especially when they are in season. While it wasn’t bad, we wouldn’t recommend it compared to the rest of the menu.

Stopped in here for lunch. I got an appetizer of focaccia with cheese and prosciutto, and a Jerusalem artichoke/artichoke risotto. Both very good, but the risotto would have been filling enough on its own! I couldn’t finish. Also ordered an Aperol spritz. It was fairly quiet while I was there as I came right when it opened.

DELICIOUS food and absolutely amazing environment! The food and drinks were incredible and the service was excellent. There was even a black and white movie played on the side of the building during dinner! A bit more expensive, but very worth it!

I am very unhappy with the service of this establishment!!! It started to rain outside. We went inside, sat down at a table, asked for a menu, but we weren't hungry, we wanted to warm up. We wanted to order tea, dessert, and coffee. We were refused, you can only eat at the table! The waitress answered us that "I understand that it's raining outside, but people eat here, not drink coffee." Dear administration of this establishment, your waiters are trained in restaurant etiquette! To refuse a visitor to sit at a table because he ordered tea and dessert instead of pizza! This is terrible, I don't recommend it!! Disgusting!!!

This place is well located close to the pedestrian walk Riva. Delicious pizza 🍕 😋 and the service was fast. We had a busy day and this place was just a perfect stop for us to chill outside and enjoy.

Heard it from TikTok, ordered their special pizza, can’t say it’s not good. The service was alright. But there was just a serve came up to me and rejected my service dog to be sitting next to me. Btw she’s helping with psychotic reason. So I wouldn’t recommend to come if you have a dog. They do have an outdoor area might be better but the weather was too hot around 94 degrees, so I can’t do it for sure.

The pizzas are super nice! Tasty and full of ingredients. The dough is neither thick nor thin, crunchy, cooked in proper oven (fire). Be aware this is the only option in the menu. The service is helpful and fast, also fair prices.

Based on a recommendation from our host, as one of the best pizza restaurants in Split, we figured we would try it, not impressed. The crust was very thin and tasty, but not completely cooked in a few areas of my pizza. The tomato sauce was kind of thick but had the taste of a spice I was not expecting on pizza, might have been fresh oregano and the cheese had no taste at all. The restaurant has a bar atmosphere with loud music and loud conversations. Overall, not bad pizza but not traditional flavors at all.

This place is built for the young and the nostalgic, 80s pop hits, and a lively crowd. The staff are genuinely friendly and impressively efficient, keeping the energy upbeat and the service smooth. The pizza looks great: thick, charred crust with quality toppings like black olives, capers, and anchovies. Ingredients are fresh and well chosen. But structurally, it’s a mixed bag. The edge is thick and almost deep-dish, while the center is thin and soggy from too much tomato sauce. It leans Neapolitan, but the balance is off. Great for a fun night out with good vibes and solid service.

While service and ambient was nice, the pizza itself wasn't as we expected. I personally think that they pushed too far with ingridient mixes. Sticking to traditional pizzas would be better. But it's just my taste. If you want to try some new pizza flavors, this place is for you. Drinks and cocktails were fine, we enjoyed them.

We went here on the recommendation of our walking tour guide and we were amazed indeed. They accommodated us even without any reservations. We had the porco mio with lars and tartufizza. Both were amazing wood fire baked pizza served with the side of chilli and garlic olive oil. An empty plate indeed points towards the taste and quality of the food here

We were recommended this restaurant by our extreme canyoning guide as one of the best pizza restaurants in town. We came as a party of 9 people on a Saturday around 5-6pm and had no issue getting a table. I ordered the Porco Mio pizza and that was exactly to my tastes. There was also chilli oil, garlic oil, and chilli flakes provided on the table as condiments. I'd recommend visiting this restaurant if you want a proper, non-fast-food pizza.

This was a great spot for dinner and drinks! The staff was friendly and gave me an amazing drink recommendation. The atmosphere is fun and loud. The pizza was pretty good (the crust was so fluffy) but the bottom was a little thin. Overall a great dinner experience!

We did the chef's choice 3 course menu with wine pairing at Sug, and it was very good. The wine pairing was fabulous, and the service attentive. However, the portions were enormous (and I can eat a lot!). It's was more like two mains than a main and a starter. If I returned, I would just do the normal menu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Perfection at a reasonable price. For antipasti, we had a white fish carpaccio wrapped around sweet rice which was delicious. Then we had squid ink risotto and creamy prawn pasta, both of which were divine. Good wine and attentive service as well. Some reviews say that this is a very fancy fine-dining place, but don’t let it put you off - the vibe is definitely nice but it’s also not very formal. You will feel at home as all the waiters are very friendly.

Food is good. The sword fish is the best - very fresh and flavourful. Octopus is fresh. Shrimp pasta isn’t as impressive as what others mentioned. Smoked risotto is average. However, the service is really bad. The waiters are very inattentive and chatting among themselves. We needed to keep waiting for the menu and water at the beginning and when we wanted to order, even when we sat at the middle of the restaurant just facing them.

Went to this place with my wife, as a recommendation from a local, and it was the best decision! We had the duck and the octopus, both were extremely delicious! Shrimp pasta as appetizer was really generous and incredible tasty. Wines are good as well. Don't hesitate about asking for the tiramisu as dessert!

The venison stew was great with tender meat and soft gnocchi, but the grilled octopus dish was a bit mismatched. The octopus itself was very good, but it was served with raw tomatoes, pickled onions, baked/fried potatoes, and a gravy none of which really complemented each other well. Service was great and the space was nice.

We had a table reserved for 8:00 PM, but we arrived an hour and a half earlier — luckily, that wasn’t a problem at all, as the staff kindly found us a spot right away. We happened to come during the restaurant’s Steak Weekend, which offered a special selection of steaks. The food was excellent — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was fast and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We really enjoyed our evening here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and friendly service.

Cool and hip joint if you’re looking for great falafel and other vegetarian options. We enjoyed our order of the hummus with crispy falafel bowl, sabich and roasted vegetable salad. Portions were generous and everything was well-seasoned. Very lovely and attentive servers to boot! Reasonably priced as well. Definitely worth a revisit.

We chose Daddy Cool after reading the amazing reviews, and they were not wrong. Firstly it is important to note that this is a small establishment with a handful of tables, but that is part of the reason it is so good. You also need to be aware that this is also part of Sexy Cow and in the same building (shared seating) though each has their own menu and kitchen. Daddy Cool offering more vegan/vegetarian options. The owner is attentive and so welcoming, going out of her way to assist. The vegan in my party she ensured to point out the Daddy Cool menu and what they could substitute to make fully vegan. The falafel in a pitta was delicious and has options for meat, vegan and vegetarian. The rest of the party were more flexible and so if milkshakes are your thing, then these looked and tasted great. The iced tea was delicious, not overly sweet. I would highly recommend a visit here.

This place was the only good experience we had in Split. The ladies were kind, with high energy and good vibe. Helped us with the menu and asked if we need a chair for the baby. After we ordered, she offered us for free a small plate with fries without salt for the baby. Also checked if everything is ok and interacted with the baby. For me this is a person who is doing her job with passion no matter what.

Great place to have a nice food. I had tuna steak and it was great. One person from our party had a Beef Steak, and he was very satisfied. It was 300 grams. So more than in the other places. Fish soup was also very, very delicious. A person eating octopus salad was also satisfied. Price was surprisingly affordable for all that we ate.

We visited on our last day in Split as wanted to try traditional Croatian cuisine. The place was clean and smelled of freshly cooked food. Grilled sea bass with baker's potatoes was delicious. Although traditional pesticiada with beef was not available, my friend decided to go for a tuna steak option of this dish, served with traditional gnocchi and rich sauce. The portions were generous and we enjoyed our meal. Well worth it, as the bill was very reasonable in compare to other places to eat closer to Riva and centre. Must try when in Split🙂👍

Best food we’ve eaten in Croatia! The tuna steak was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavor. The cuttlefish risotto was perfect. If you’re ever in Split I would highly recommend this place!

Wow! The staff managed to squeeze in our party of 6 without reservation, and we're so glad they did. The food was outstanding: perfectly cooked meats, fish, and sides to accompany them. The veal escallops were divine and had a good char on the taste. Attentive service and accommodating staff made this a perfect introduction to Croatia cuisine for us.

Good portions , amazing food. Friendly staff. A bit harder to find a spot during lunchtime , but we went at 4pm and it was empty. The prices are awesome compared to old town.. walk 20 min or spend 1 eur on a bus, it will save you 10-20 eur for the same meal in old town.

Nice cozy resto. Service was excellent. We find the food we ordered were very enjoyable. Nice in fact. However our Tuna Steak was too salty for us. The Dalmatian starter with cheese we recommend. As it was our first meal in Croatia we had nothing to compare with. Overall value for money.

A really great bar. Service was great and helpful. The Hugo spritz was delicious, really well made. We ordered a bunch of food they put on a platter. I recommend the fried sardines, and the cheese !

Funky spot for some tasty streetfood! We came to try the local Croatian dish, Soparnik and it was delicious! Perfect snack between lunch and dinner. The staff was lovely and chatted with us on how the dish is made throughout the country.

Service was great, the terrace is small but cute, it's a nice place to take a cocktail / eat finger foods ! We took a platter of cheese + other tapas, everything was quite tasty (especially the cheese). Just the potatoes are a bit tasteless, that is the only food there I would not recommand. The cocktails were good, and overall the prices were ok for Split !

We tried the vege burger (highly recommend) and winner burger. Both really tasty and original! They also serve tradicional fast food, although we only tried the rosemary fries (not your typical one, we enjoyed them). There is only terrace after 17h and there are very few seats inside. There are some benches in the shadow near though.

Great local bar. The waiter was super friendly and helpful and it has a chill vibe. We shared the Pašticada which was absolutely delicious and I loved the sparkling rosé too!

That was literally the best burger I have ever eaten. I ordered the vege burger and it was incredibly delicious. I think I am going to dream about it tonight. The people working there were also really nice. I can really recommend it

No food. Service was lacking but also made you feel at ease. Ordered 2 fantastic and got 2 differant types... never seen that before. Went to order another drink to be told they had closed. It would have been nice to have been told, but no problem, plenty of surrounding places are still serving. Shame has loads of potential but badly ran. A drink was a drink, so it was what it was, but if you're looking for somewhere with a bit of something... this isn't your place.

Popped in here for a coffee. Also went across the street to their hole in the wall. Staff were friendly enough and efficient. They have a wide range of drinks and pastries. These were very good overall. We had the cherry slice which is a Croatian classic. Really enjoyed this and the pastry was very light - filling not too sweet. Well worth a visit for a quick a value bite.

Good cafe in Split, located at a very nice location, nice view. The food is just okay, not that bad but I like the long coffee that they serve, quite good. The price is reasonable and the service is quite fast. The staff is also okay. Some might not agree but the coffee is actually quite good. There’s toilet available too.

Horrible service, ice cream has a huge chuck of ice inside, when I asked the staff about it she just said ‘’it’s just ice, it’s nothing’, no apologies, no exchange, ended up paying 1/3 of my ice cream for big chuck of ice. The drinks also definitely don’t worth the price they charged.

Nice place with friendly waiter. The food arrived fast and was nicely presented. Smoothies were good, my friend enjoyed the tort. We had the Game changer dish, it was our favourite one. And the Kitchen favorite, I liked it but I prefer dressing with more flavour. The chocolate cookie was delicious! Great vegan spot! You’re bound to pass by if you spend any time in the old town, it’s got a great location and you can’t miss it. Small menu but everything is a hit. We did dinner and lunch there so we got to try a little bit of everything, they have a rotating dessert selection in the case inside as well, and i thought the coffee was fantastic. Great people watching from the terrace seating, you’re kind of right in the thick of everything so you’re sure to see something funny happen, of course lots of cats and dogs walking by etc. the employees were really nice and i had a great time here. Salute to them for doing some really interesting and unique concepts with their vegan food - sushi burritos, vegan quiche, really good and unique takes here, all of which are delicious.

This place is really nice for vegetarians as they have a wide variety of food options. We ordered the Curry bowl and Kitchen's Fav Salad bowl along with the sweet potato fries. The portion size was sufficient for these dishes and taste was decent. The service was good. It is at a 5 minutes walk from the Diocletian's Palace. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas.

Loved this place, simple no fuss menu, staff are lovely, well priced and 70% of the menu is also gluten free. We liked it so much we came back the next evening to eat here. The staff were fabulous and we generally felt no one was hurrying us to leave (seems to be a thing). Would really recommend this place, small and very quick but no rush, kind of the perfect place to sit in the evening and enjoy a natter with a friend.

Sushi roll and sweet potato fries were really delicious. The filling of the burrito was good but I didn't like the taste of the bread. It could have more sauce as it felt a lil dry. A lil too expensive for the quantity they offer.

Delicious bagels right in the heart of Split. Freshly made, high quality and super affordable. The service is nice and quick, perfect if you’re on the go. We tried 3 bagels from the menu and loved them all. My personal favorite is the Mortadella. Generously filled with mortadella, gouda, fresh tomato and lettuce. The Ham & Cheese is also a great choice. Cheddar and pickles give it a nice kick. No seating, so just grab and go. Definitely worth a stop.🥯

Amazing place for a quick bite in the city. Brooklyn Bagel Co. is close to a lot of the attractions in the heart of the city, and in a perfect spot when returning from the beach to fuel up. The bagels were great, highly recommend for a lunch snack. Would be cool to see them implement some kind of outdoor seating to improve the atmosphere even more, but no complaints whatsoever.

Not tasty at all. Really dry and salty. I've had fresh bagels before in London, there was something not right with this place, felt mass produced and lacked any love.

Would not recommend the vegan bagel. The service was also horrible. The girl working pretty much threw the bagel at me when it was ready. This was a Tuesday night, train your staff the basics in customer service and look into what makes a good vegan bagel. It's not that hard.

Delicious breakfast bagel with egg, cheese & bacon. The bagel was so fresh! Located across the intersection from Split’s Bus Station. So happy to have a tasty, fresh breakfast bagel sandwich before traveling on a 5 hour bus ride.

Delicious!! Chimichanga was superb. Ordered the one with pulled beef. 10/10. My husband got 3 different tacos and were good too. Just make sure to tell them your spice level! The place is pretty small so it can get crowded but it has a lot of personality. ♡ Shout out to the owner and head chef too. They worked hard to get the orders out as fast as possible.

Tasty Mexican food with plenty of vegetarian options, made super fast, and reasonably priced. The tacos were flavorful, the sweet-potato fries tasty, the churros were also delicious. The styrofoam packaging was not the best, and also led to food becoming soggy faster. I was satisfied with the taste of what I ordered, though. However, the restaurant itself is small, and although we originally wanted to dine in, the smell of the cooking oil was so strong, we eventually could only take out.

It was sooo good! We did a trip to split and this was such a good Food experience😍 Everything was fantastic! Especially the Guacamole. We had 3x tacos, burrito, nachos, quesadilla, Coke, Water and Churros with Nutella and paid 44.- Euros. Such a good deal!😍

Small cosy mexican place next to the old town. Cash only with amazing options. The soft shell corn tacos were really good. Ample vegeterian options and the churros were fresh and hot! Only thing to suggest is to add some fish/shrimp options!

Tiny restaurant near marketplace. Decorated nicely with mexican style, only few sitting places. Prises were resonable so you dont have to use much money. Food came in average speed but meat in tacos was cold, not chili at all and no mexican style lime slice to sol beer. Also i find hair from my food so maybe my experience could be better. These are basic things to wait to be okay, so i didnt complained in restaurant about these. Two other burrito meals was warm and tasted okay so thats good sign and i could give new possibility to restaurant and then update this rewiev if needed. Good to know: cash only and no toilet.

As folks who have moved from the States to Denmark, something we miss dearly is good Mexican food. We're on holiday in Split and this really hit the spot!!

While the bread is incredible and the sandwiches are LARGE, I do wish it had a few more fillings. I got the caprese which was great, but I would have liked it more with more basil, fresh salt and pepper, and some balsamic glaze. I also got the vegano which felt a bit lacking. I recommend for a quick and easy lunch sandwich to go. There is no seating.

No seating was the reason for the star docked. The sandwiches are huge so we asked for them to be cut. Great selections including veggie! Would recommend changing your cheese out for stracciatella!

Can’t wait to be back to this place! The focaccia was delicious, the ingredients are %100 fresh and made in moment. Lovely summer experience! (with just one focaccia sandwich two people can eat, so it’s really great)

10/10 recommend, I can say this because I ate here 3 nights in a row. Every day I craved one of their focaccia’s. The bread always tasted fresh and crunchy, using fresh basil and tomatoes. The staff always super friendly and speak some English too which goes a long way. Great prices for both food & drinks, this is a must try for lunch or dinner in Split. Sizes are generous which means you’ll likely be in a pleasant food coma after it!

It was awful and sad. It was sad because they put really good ingredients in a hard, stale, cold focaccia that you couldn't bite into at first and then couldn't chew. I understand that it was evening, but either give a discount for the evening so that people understand that they are paying less because the quality is not the same, or just don't sell it. After taking a couple of bites, we stopped eating and thought about reheating it at home, but it didn't get any better, so I took out the salami and gave it to the cat to eat, and everything else went in the bin. *And the focaccia was overcooked, so it was incredibly hard in every sense.

A great discovery! We tried this place and it’s definitely approved! I had the Focaccia Classico at 8.50€, delicious but I couldn’t finish it. The staff is very friendly and they prepare the focaccia right in front of you. Vegetarian options are available too.

The server was very kind and helped us pick out food to eat. A lot of locals were dining and seemed to know the staff well. The meals were generous and came with a heaping basket of bread!! For €30 we had four meals we couldn't finish. A con, our table was dirty, and our paper napkins came to the table dirty as well.

🚫 **Tourist Trap Alert!** We had a disappointing experience here that felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of tourists. **A) The Water Scam:** As soon as they realized we were tourists, the older waitress insisted we buy two bottles of water, claiming that Croatian tap water is "bad and unhealthy." That’s simply false—Croatia has some of the best tap water in Europe. After repeatedly declining, she finally removed one bottle but insisted we keep the other. We refused. **B) Bait-and-Switch Menu:** Most of the dishes advertised outside weren’t available. Instead, she read options off a notepad. We ordered two roast beefs with fries and two chicken dishes with mashed potatoes. When the food arrived, the side dishes were reversed. Her solution? A “complimentary” tray of fries for the table. But when the bill came, we were charged €2 per person for those fries—€8 total, when one side supposedly be part of main dish! 💸 It’s not about the money—it’s the principle. The dishonesty and clear attempt to gouge tourists left a bad taste. Unless you're a local, I’d recommend avoiding this place. They play dumb when it suits them, but they know exactly what they’re doing!

Came here for a traditional Croatian meal. Dishes felt very home-style and there were many locals. We tried the roast veal and stuffed paprika. Taste was okay, wasn't bad but wasn't special. Prices reasonable and much cheaper than old town.

I deliberately came here on the recommendation of a Croatian friend. I was very impressed by the friendly atmosphere and smiling staff. But the last absurd calculation ruined the whole mood. 7 euros for one meatball? I questioned the price again but nothing changed. Roast chicken + mashed potatoes + smoked beans + stir-fried cabbage = 8 euros This is a completely reasonable price. But 1 additional meatball without option = 7 euros Do you understand? Don't easily take tourists' money and do business honestly. Requiring the price(just only one meatball = 7 euro) is clearly wrong.

Only thing I would say as it was very hot outside and also inside, it made it difficult to fully enjoy our meal. Perhaps some stronger air conditioning would make a difference. To note, it is unclear whether the previous name of Toto’s Burger Bar has changed to “Good Food”. My wife who is celiac was able to get a gluten-free burger with bun. She thinks she was also able to have fries from a dedicated fryer, but we can’t be sure. Both our burgers were yummy and different options were available, along with standard fare for a burger bar. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly.

Burger meet tasted ok, unfortunately, that was about it for good food. Cheese in burger was toast cheese slapped in and not even melted. Sweet potatoes were burnt and full of oil, left it all as it was inedible. Waitress serving us was in a hurry (not many other customers, one couple waiting to oder after us) like she wants to get rid of us. She took over from a boy who seemed lost, likely a new young recruit.

One of our favorite addresses in Split with my husband. The welcome is simple and warm. Prices are normal (not special for tourists). English menu on the wall. The food was very good, and it was good to eat vegetables/more balanced.

Amazing food with loads of variety including vegan. Cooked super quick and tasty. Good to eat in as ambience is very nice with cool music, plus the staff is super friendly! :)

I’m not sure what the normal standard of “good” is here, but the salad was gross to me. The lettuce is all very old and soggy and brown! Totally not worth €10.

We had such an incredible experience at Lvxor in Split! Tucked right in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace, the setting is absolutely magical, but what really stood out was the food and service. We ordered both pizza and pasta, and they were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff made the evening even better. They were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome without ever being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that delivers equally on atmosphere, food, and service, but Lvxor does it flawlessly. If you’re in Split and want an unforgettable meal, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back!

Unbeatable location near palace. Seats on cushions overlooking courtyard but we elected to sit inside in lovely airy two story room. Brunched on scrambled eggs on guacamole which was spicy and delicious although unrecognizable to someone from Oaxaca. Service good. Very relaxing way to start the day.

After a long day of walking around Split, we were tired and just wanted to stop for a beer before heading back to our hotel. We remembered this restaurant across from the cathedral, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a beer, but ended up ordering a pizza as well—and it turned out to be incredibly delicious. We finished with a wonderful dessert that was just as amazing. The service was great, and the place itself is charming. It was a perfect way to relax after a busy day. Highly recommend!

We had the most magical evening at this restaurant. The atmosphere was truly beautiful — live music filled the air, people were dancing outside, and the location couldn’t be more perfect, with a stunning view that made everything feel cinematic. The food was excellent: beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Krešo, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more special. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming, which added to the charm of the night. It honestly felt like stepping into a movie — full of nostalgia, joy, and connection. An unforgettable evening, and a place we can’t wait to come back to.

This restauran (restaurant to my friends) has the glorious atmosphere of a castle with walls of ancient stone. The service is impeccable. They could not do enough to accommodate our tastes; I requested a small mixed salad, off menu, and a most delicious well appointed rather large salad appeared. The Teramisu was outstanding. The pasta with an octopus ragu, outrageous. And there is live music playing an unending assortment of American music (yeah, I know) in the plaza at the door. A perfect, late night Sunday dinner.

We had breakfast vouchers from the hotel we stayed at. At the restaurant, we were given a set menu that could be used to order breakfast using the vouchers. All 3 options include coffee or tea and orange juice. All 3 options are not vegetarian. I asked our server if they could skip the salmon and add more vegetables to my option. Our server was nice enough to work with the chef and make me a vegetarian option. I was pleasantly surprised that they were so accommodating! My breakfast was lovely and I got a great start to explore Split.

This a must-visit restaurant in Split. It’s right by the Dioclesian Palace which made us nervous it would be a tourist trap but it turned out to be the best meal of our Croatian adventure. Fabulous food, delicious wine, a lovely setting and attentive and helpful staff. Highly highly recommend!

It's a great small fish and seafood eatery with a simple menu with everything really tasty on it. Be prepared to queue up in front of the restaurant if you want to have dinner as it is quite popular. However, the service is quite fast and we got into the place in about 15 minutes even though there were 10 people queuing in front of us. The food isn't just fresh and excellent, the portions are also huge. Don't miss out on this great opportunity!

Forget about all the other names you will hear for authentic restaurants! This is the best seafood restaurant in Split. Family run, small place, 90% locals, fresh seafood and prices are reasonable (CASH ONLY though) … I paid 16€ for small fish plate and a wine

A small restaurant with only 6 tables serving only fried fish, squid and prawns, and sides of fries, salad and bread. And cash only!! It’s not for everyone. I thought it was great, a real find.

Zlatna Ribica in Split is a must-visit for seafood lovers, thanks to its fresh catches and generous portions at great prices. The seafood platter is the star — loaded with prawns, squid, and small fish, perfect for sharing. The atmosphere is casual and authentic, right by the fish market. The only downside is they only accept cash and the long wait times during peak hours.

A very simple restaurant and menu, but delicious fresh tasting food. The server was really kind and lovely too. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. My wife and I ordered a mixed fish/seafood platter (€30) and french fries on the side (€4). Split is incredibly expensive - well the old city and surrounding areas are. This is right in the heart of the old city and offers reasonable price for what you get. We walked in 30 mins before closing and it wasn’t that full.

I don’t think you can get seafood fresher than this. We had the mixed fish for two and a salad and it was great.

Shared the grilled fish platter - which included sardines, prawns, calamari and baby octopus. We had sides of fries and salad and a carafe of white wine Croatian wine is lovely. Service was great, couldn’t fault it!

I've only ever ordered drinks here and it's been fantastic. The prices are reasonable and the bartenders are friendly. Go for the local shots if you have a chance, they're shots of spirits that have been made locally! The honey and blackberry ones were delicious

After three days in Split, this was the biggest scam we encountered. The reason they make you pay in advance is because no one would ever agree to pay after seeing the pathetically tiny portion. €6 for butternut squash fries that consisted of about ten shavings of a butternut squash deep fried and incredibly oily and salty. Save you money, walk right on by.

We ordered Big George and Phillysteak-Sandwich. Both sandwiches were amazingly tasty. We had to wait a while for the sandwiches to be ready which is okay because they are freshly made and the taste is worth waiting for. I liked the Big George more. But both were very good.

Had a philly cheese steak and while not 100% proper it was very tasty and good! Bit expensive but quality makes it worth it. Fun little spot you should check out and enjoy!

Great find amongst the many cafes and food offerings, located neat the "core" section of Split. Fresh raw ground beef in large ball shapes, taken out and flattened on the grill, cooked with added salt, and topped with a special house sauce, pickles, onion, and lettuce... Great service, fresh and tasty.

I would rate the food 3.5 out of 5 – it was quite good and the food ordering process was quick and smooth. However, the overall experience was ruined by the service, especially on the drinks side. The setup is very confusing: you order food on one side of the building and drinks on the other. While ordering food was fast and efficient, getting a drink was a mess. First, I was told I could use an app to place my order. Then I found out the app is only for browsing the menu, not for ordering. After that, they said I could only pay by card, but later they said cash was fine too. The woman selling the drinks was casually drinking a beer and didn’t seem to know what was going on. Overall, the food is okay, but there are definitely better places out there. As for the drinks – I wouldn’t recommend To be fair, the rakija was very good – but despite that, I still wouldn’t recommend getting drinks here.

If you getting tired getting expensive seafood at Croatia this Doner shop in split is for the rescue. They are open until very late at night serving delicious but cheap doner kebabs. We take a durum and a doner box and a coke which only cost us 10 euros. The taste was very good and the stuffs are also very nice. Highly recommended

Delicious! Fresh and affordable. Staff was friendly and I was greeted with a smile. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend Kebab House if you are in the area. Update from 2022: Still amazing. Still affordable. My go-to whenever I feel like something tasty.

Worst kebab I’ve ever had. It was in a tortilla wrap instead of a pita, the meat was unspecified, the sauce options were limited and there was too much, and the salad options were strange and included corn

Located near the center of Split, in a small street called "Na Tupini", kebab shop does not have perfect health or clean conditions but it is good enough to pass. On the other side the food is absolutely fantastic for a reasonable price. Staff are well trained and there are a lot of condiments. Would come back here.

I had a pita for lunch as was very impressed by the quality, quantity, price, taste, and the service speed. A great value for your money. I would recommend this place and would go there again.

Went twice within 12 hours. Fantastic kebab and döners… only in town short time or we would return again. Excellent service and great price. When we went, cash only(kuna) so come prepared, it’s well worth it!
