Good Desi Pakistani food.. Reasonable price and all you can eat... Charges are not fixed... You can pay as you like... Normal that people are paying is 8 to 10 Euros per head which is really reasonable price
the best place we ate out in vienna, hands down. so aromatic and flavourful, there are so many vegetarian options, there's even a dessert option too! you can just get stuffed and pay as much as you wish (there's an 8 euro minimum though when you pay by card). definitely worth checking out!
Picture that, you’ve been sightseeing all day, you are exhausted, you’re legs just don’t work. You wander across Vienna looking forward to eating basically whatever and suddenly your attention is being caught by the sign shining brightly saying “Der Wiener Deewan”. We’ve entered. Vibe inside wouldn’t have made you suspect the greatness behind this place.
I had rice with four different kinds of curry. I didn’t notice when the first plate disappeared. Then another one… So did my friends’ plates. We satisfied our hunger in about half an hour and sat outside for another one spending together wonderful time. And all that for the prize you choose to pay. Absolutely best place to eat in Vienna.
Great idea for a restaurant and great execution. The food was incredibly good, hot, fresh, plentiful, and delicious, with free water to drink. Pay what you want concept is interesting and feels very fair. No-frills location with a lot of vegetarian options.
Very simple restaurant which offers everyday cuisine. You usually can choose between 5 different vegan components for your dish, plus salad, rice, sauces and very very interesting typical desserts. Everything is tasteful and it just delivers. Lentils were otherwordly. You can have two full plates for a price between 7 and 12 and it is perfect to fill your gut at any hour; without many expectations.
It does what it should.

I have been eating here for a long time. But these few times they have suddenly changed the dishes to only vegetarians and vegans, which I felt so sad because the chicken curry and the beef were the best dishes. I would say I came here again and again is because of these two dishes…. Now I have no reason to come again until if the meat curry comes back…

This park truly offers the best of both worlds. On one side, you’ll find a peaceful and charming green area with a pond full of ducks, perfect for a relaxing walk, biking, or even a picnic under the trees. It's an ideal spot to unwind, enjoy nature, or just let the kids run free while you sit back and take in the serene atmosphere.
On the other side of the park is a huge amusement area that’s packed with games and attractions for all ages. From thrilling rides to fun games for kids, there's something here for everyone. We tried the giant Ferris wheel, which gave us amazing views — definitely a highlight! The ride cost €6 per person, and it was well worth it. Keep in mind that while entry to the general park is free, each amusement game or ride has its own separate fee.
There’s also a fantastic section within the park filled with restaurants! you can visit day or night. It’s a great area to relax after a walk or a fun ride, and it's equally enjoyable for both adults and kids.
All in all, this park is a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a calm afternoon in nature or an exciting day of fun, it has it all in one place!

A wonderful place to visit! The park is spacious and beautiful, perfect for walking and relaxing. The Ferris wheel gives amazing views of Vienna, and there are many fun attractions, cafes, and places to enjoy. A great spot for families, friends, or solo visits. Highly recommended .

I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the prices. Each ride is at least 6€ per person, and you cant buy group tickets. For a family of 4 that wants to enjoy a full day of theme park adventure - it is a sizable expense
Loved this park, free to enter and you pay per ride, went like 3pm and not all rides were open but around 5pm most of them were open. Booster king, Black Mamba, Wiener looping & Volare were apur favorite rides
The amusement park was really fun! There were many different rides and attractions — I wanted to try them all. There are also food stalls and cafés, which make it easy to spend a few hours there comfortably. I visited after 8 PM and didn’t have to wait in line for any of the rides. The atmosphere was lively, colorful, and full of energy. A great place to enjoy with family or friends.
We had lots of fun at Prater. Many fun and exciting rides. Amazing views, fun and lively atmosphere.
I expected prices to be higher, but they weren’t. There’s no entry fee, you pay for your rides.
In November 2025 most rides cost 5€ per person. The famous ferrys wheel cost around 15€ for adults and half price for children.
Many attractions available in the evening (we visited 8-10pm) for adults and kids (9 y/old)
The venue is good. 3 different stages inside it with multiple genres. The crowd is local but very young demographic. Not the best if you are above 25 unless the dj is great

Nguyen’s Pho House is a low-key restaurant in Vienna's 8th district, offering classic Vietnamese dishes such as pho, meat dishes, and noodles. Guests can indulge in traditional favorites like papaya salad, summer rolls (available in vegetarian, shrimp, or pork options), and crispy spring rolls.
I walked 20 mins to get here and they did not disappoint. I ordered the stir fried garlic beef strips pho and deep fried prawn spring rolls. They are both delicious. The soup for the pho is heavier than the normal one but I wanted to try this version which isn’t available back home. So all is good!

Ordered the crispy duck pho and the rice noodles with grilled pork and crispy spring roll. Pho was 13.90 euros and the rice noodles was about 12. The taste feels more like fusion style, not really the original taste i was expecting. Seating outside was crowded, not sure about those inside.
Great food. We ordered the chicken pho and I had the vegan vegetables with fresh tofu and rice. Speed of service was quick! Portions were good also. Wifey enjoyed her pho also. Plus we took out some vegan pho. The resto has lots of vegan options. I suggest to make a reservation.
Unfortunately a rather disappointing dining experience. Not only was the service rude, but the food was bland and tasteless. The restaurant was also very crowded and extremely loud. At least the portions were generous!

If you are looking for something other than Austrian food this is a good alternative. I got the Bun Bo Hue. It is not the authentic one like my mom makes or what you would get in Vietnam. The noodle soup itself is pretty good though. It’s got a good flavor and then ingredients are fresh. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is modern Vietnamese. On a cold winter day it’s a good place of common and get one of their noodle soups.
Food was delicious, pho was really flavorful, pork super tender and summer rolls really good too. For the price, it is a very decent portion. The only downside was the service, when I went to pay the server was not nice.
Vietnamese classics including pho, meat dishes, noodles. It offers also different vegetarian dishes 🌱 . By asking about the pho xao bo/ga to the stuff, the description was different and I expected a different dish: I was a bit disappointed but still good.
Note: if you like spicy, feel free to ask for their amazing chilli 🌶️.

Schweizerhaus is a historic beer garden and restaurant with origins dating back to the 19th century. Located in the expansive Prater public gardens near an amusement park, it offers a nostalgic atmosphere and serves up Viennese dishes alongside Czech and Austrian beers. The restaurant is renowned for its famous Schweizerhaus Stelze (pork knuckle) and traditional Wiener Schnitzel.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from a traditional beer garden, but this felt exactly right. No extras, no ceremony. You find an open table without a reserved sign and settle in. A server shows up shortly to take your order, and from there it’s all about soaking up the atmosphere.
We came for the famous pork knuckle and it was incredible. Crispy skin, tender inside. Honestly one of the best things we ate in Vienna. We also had the mixed salad, sausages with sauerkraut, horseradish, fries, and potatoes. Everything hit the spot. The salad was light and fresh, and the sausage had great flavor.
We finished with coffee and a plum ice cream dessert that was surprisingly good. The whole meal was relaxed, easy, and really satisfying. Definitely one of our favorite food experiences on this trip.

Schweizerhaus is a must-visit restaurant in Vienna, especially if you’re at Prater. The atmosphere is lively and traditional, with a huge beer garden that’s perfect for enjoying sunny days.
The highlight is definitely the Stelze (crispy roasted pork knuckle) – it’s perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. The portions are large, so it’s great for sharing. Their freshly poured beer is also excellent and pairs perfectly with the food.
Service is fast and efficient despite the crowds, and the whole place has a very authentic Viennese charm. If you want to experience local food and atmosphere, Schweizerhaus is the place to go!
We walked in without a reservation. When we asked a staff member, we were told to ask another staff member, and this happened twice. I think it’s better to make a reservation in advance.
There were only a few staff working and they seemed very busy, so it took some time to place additional orders.
However, the wait for food and drinks was not long, and everything was very delicious! We really enjoyed our meal there.
Its really good but dont make our mistake and dont order pork knuckle for 1 person its way too much food, the staff dont care for reserved tables and tell us sit where isn’t reserved so its a 10-20 mins searching for a table without reservation sign
We were happy to have a try tasty pork Nuckel and a variety kinds of beer in a traditional Vienna style here. The pork Nuckel is visually pleasing and delicious, especially for Asian people. I think the atmosphere here is great. The location is good too! You can visit the prater amusement park next door after your meal, after digestion of course.
All in all this place deserves recommendations for all kinds of travelers.
Everything was perfect. Schweizerhaus special was really big and can easily be for 2-3 persons. We didn't had the reservation but the guy's who work there find as a table, it was crowded a lot. Food was perfect all recommendations if you are visiting Vienna. There is also Prater nearby and paid parking.
The food was good and it looked exactly like the pictures. But the service was not that great, mostly because the server was overwhelmed by the amount of people, maybe the kitchen as well.
We wanted to order more but we got ignored because the server was in a rush. There were a group of young local boys that waited for about 40 minutes to get a pint. Same for a family of 3, 40 mina just to get the order.
This is a large beer garden in Prater. It has a huge outdoor dining area so even without a reservation you have a good chance at finding an open table to just sit down at and a waiter will come around to you. The service was a bit strange, they were kinda pushy for you to order what they wanted you to order rather than what you asked for and because I’m spineless I relented but with a bit of regret. They also overcharged us but disappeared before I could challenge the receipt and never came back. The food is good though, not great but good. Because their service is just about as sour as their beer I would not recommend this place.

Centrally located in Vienna town. It claimed to serve the 'best coffee and cakes' but we didn't think so. The fruit smoothy I got was tasteless, felt it was made with water and not juice. Price is reasonable though. Service staff is attentive and got a sense of humour, otherwise I would have rated this a 1-star place.
Service is too low and too rude. I chose this brunch several times, but still no chance. They are not friendly and the service quality is not high. Despite the service location being great. The view is also awesome. Sweets are fresh and tasty. Especially local applesweet is good here. At least for takeaway, I recommend to try. Other deserts are a bit costly.
This place is supposed to be a ‘low cost alternative’ to caffès like Cafe Central, Landtman…. However, the price was almost the same as in more iconic places and you even have to pay to go to the toilet despite having consumed in the Café.
The coffees were good but de Kaiserschmarrn was nothing highlightable (I’d recommend to taste others like Demel’s as you’ll get better quality and experience)

The hot chocolate at Aida in Vienna is absolutely delicious! Rich, creamy, and perfectly smooth, it’s pure indulgence in a cup. The flavor is intense but well balanced, making it one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever tasted. A must-try for any chocolate lover visiting Vienna!

What a fun and novel way to try out local sandwiches, each one is a two biter for me. It’s that small.
We tried pickles with eggs, tuna with eggs, bacon with eggs and few other ones I don’t remember.
You go up the counter and as soon as they can tell you are a tourist they hand us a photo menu and we pointed to what we wanted, then wait in line to pay. We ended up standing outside table to eat. Fun!!

Buffet Trzesniewski is one of the most local places I’ve experienced in Vienna. I had never tried such a minimal yet delicious concept anywhere before. Small pieces of bread topped with various spreads, served in a cozy and warm atmosphere. It was absolutely perfect. The salmon and horseradish canapé was definitely my favorite here. I highly recommend trying it.

Trześniewski in Vienna is such a unique and delightful spot! They serve small, open-faced sandwiches on dark rye bread with a variety of flavorful toppings — both vegetarian and non-vegetarian — making it a perfect quick bite between sightseeing stops.
At the counter, they hand you a photo menu so it’s easy to choose. We tried several vegetarian options and loved the carrot-pea, pepper cream cheese, tomato, and cream cheese-carrot ones. My husband tried the egg one, which was really good too. The flavors are simple yet surprisingly rich and well-balanced.
We visited the Dorotheergasse location, great for people-watching and taking a break from exploring. I loved it so much that I visited again the next day after spotting another branch nearby — it truly felt like a treat I’d manifested twice!

It took me a while to decide what to have, I eventually went with egg with egg AC, peppadew sweet and hot AGO, truffle egg with ham AC, red peppers AC, perhaps it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had in Vienna.

Then there are the tiny beers — yes, the famously small “Pfiff” glasses of beer. Not only are they refreshing, but they add a fun and quirky twist to the whole experience. We ended up ordering a few rounds just because they’re so entertaining.

Café Sperl, a historic coffeehouse dating back to 1880, is a quintessential part of Vienna's cafe culture. It was once a popular hangout for artists, writers, and even royalty until the Nazis intervened during their reign. The cafe is famous for its opulent and timeless ambiance that embodies the Austrian concept of gemutlich - warmth, comfort, and familiarity.
I definitely recommend this place for an authentic Viennese experience. You can enjoy the full-day breakfast or the regular dishes. There are tons of coffee specialties. The atmosphere is delightful and the service is nice. Make sure you check out opening times as they tend to be closed on Sundays during the summer time. Please enjoy the beautiful seating area inside as they have never changed it since the day they opened.

Recommend this place 100%. You have to walk a bit outside the city centre but it’s worth it. Reasonable price and good food. Coffee is very good. Better to book a table, queue is often but it moves quick.

I came here from a review to enjoy "classic Vienna cafe experience". And I think I got exactly that!
The place was nice, with the furniture and layout feeling very authentic. Around us were local people. Having their morning coffee and reading newspaper.
The coffee, pastry and egg sausage were all great. Highly recommend the Sperl chocolate cake!

Though located slightly further from city center, the price per portion was much better than some of the other cafes. Staff was also very friendly, and gave us the choice of where to sit, instead of immediately deciding for us.
The weiner schnitzel was succulent and wasn't too filling, which was great, as it allowed room for a cup of coffee and dessert. The included potato salad is my personal favorite from all the restaurants I've eaten - there isn't as much acidity, and much "smoother" to eat. It's so good that I could eat just the salad as a main dish.
The apple strudel was also excellent. Instead of apple chunks, the pie was layered with thin apple slices. The sourness of the apples combined with the whipped cream were a perfect match.
Despite my short stay in Vienna, this is definitely my go to place the next time I return.
I really wanted to try one of the traditional cafes in Vienna, and this is the one we chose. It was really nice in the inside, probably with the same decor since when it opened, but it had a lot of charm. The Sperl Torte was really delicious and both coffees were great too. Service was very good and slow, as expected. :-) I can imagine the "slow living" they are famous for.
I’ve been cafe-hopping around Vienna, and Cafe Sperl truly stands out — the food quality here is far more delicious than many other popular spots. Tucked away in a quaint corner, it feels like a hidden gem beloved by locals. I didn’t bump into any other tourists during my visit. The staff are lovely, and the place exudes a peaceful old-world charm and timeless elegance.

It tasted good, but not like a Berlin döner! Sandwich bread was all wrong, and there was some crazy thousand Island type dressing and no garlic sauce. Line moved fast, and there are a few outside tables if you are not taking it to go. Big sandwich for a regular size. Nice service.

Stopped by a quick bite at the Berliner Döner. The staff was awesome, friendly & accommodating of our customizations. Spice, cheese, sauces were all generously added to this already generous portion of a delicious sandwich. Chicken döner had nice juicy and flavorful chicken. Falafels were good but heavy for the sandwich which made the sandwich fall apart in no time. Worth the price & definitely worth the bite!
There's minimal seating near the stand. Also an elaborate restaurant by the same folks on the other side of the road.

The chinese restaurant Tofu und Chili is a hidden gem in Vienna. The noodles and the vegetarian dishes are simply delicious, and the team is friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable, and the restaurant has both English and German menus available.
Authentic Chinese Food- The food arrives very quickly, and the dishes are truly authentic Chinese. We had the Sichuan-style eggplant (definitely order rice with it – 10/10!) and the hand-pulled vegetarian noodles, both absolutely delicious.
Portions are large, but the restaurant is quite small and narrow. We were lucky to get a table spontaneously in the afternoon, but be prepared to wait for a seat during busy hours.

We got crispy duck noodle with red coconut sauce because the waiter told us the sauce is not too spicy just mild. But it was extremely hot, brought tears literally. Otherwise, the food was nice but we wish we could enjoy it thoroughly in a better mood. The space is small with a few tables. Textures of noodles are very good, fresh. The sauce could use some work. All three of my dishes ended up tasting pretty similar - just this generic vinegar-soy sauce taste. I ordered the cold skin noodles, the oil over biangbiang noodles and the pigs ears. Ingredients are fine, but they need to do some work with the sauce.

This is one of the best biang biang i have had so far, very rich in flavour and ingrediences. The only thing I would recommend would be more stylish noodle bowls. I will definitely come back for more next time I am in Vienna 😊
One of the best Chinese in Vienna and it's only a small and quaint place. Lots of must try dishes especially their handpulled beef noodles soup and lamb skewers. Very friendly team and it's cash only.

We used to be "Stammgast" here, since they opened their first local, I think it was in 1070, close to Zieglergasse subway station.

So good and so filling! Went for a vegan bacon burger with coleslaw and it was great. Coleslaw portions are quite large though so I couldn't finish it all, perhaps order just one to share if you have a companion. The place is also quite small, nothing mindblowing but cute nonetheless. Vegan restaurants are always very much appreciated!

We’re suckers for a good vegan burger, and Swing Kitchen certainly satisfies that craving, and more! We’ve eaten here at least once every time we came to Vienna over the last 6 years and the burgers have been consistently excellent! Highly recommend.

Maybe the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life. I honestly regret giving it to my children. The taste was worse than McDonald’s, and the quality of the meat was extremely poor. I was supposed to be eating beef, but I have no idea what kind of burger that really was — the quality was terrible, and I ended up with stomach pain afterward. My daughter’s burger even came burned. I honestly don’t understand why the ratings here are so high.

Very unusual place and very cheap but for a reason. There was no greeting on entering just wordless gesture to an empty table. Menu offers beer on tap but in reality only one style of bottled beer is available (should have noticed there are no taps at the bar anyway!). I had spaghetti carbonara and asked for some cheese topping but was told they had no cheese/parmesan. Confused how they managed to make a carbonara without… was watery/salty double cream. My partner had a pizza which somehow didn’t taste of anything at all. Cash only but had no change? If you just want calories for cheap then go for it otherwise I’d avoid.
The lokal is small and beautiful, the staff are very friendly and the price of the pizza was really unbelievable.
Known for being the cheapest, not the best. A Margherita is only €6.40, which is great after a night out or if you’re short on cash 💰. Taste-wise, though, it’s more garlic bread with cheese than true Neapolitan pizza. Good for the price, but there are much better pizzas in the city.
Super cheap and fulfilling!! I think the pizza we ordered tasted just alright it wasn’t bad at all and the tortellini was also good!! I liked the Austrian beer and it was also very cheap I ended up taking one home lol!! But must go if you don’t want to spend much on food and want to drink as well!!

My friend and I were looking for a cheap place to eat and this seemed like he perfect place. Everything on the menu is a fantastic price and we were surprised at how large the portion sizes were too! Two people could share one pizza. Not only that, but the food was delicious and the aesthetic and music in the restaurant was pleasant. I'd recommend up anyone willing to travel a bit from the city center.

At last, before leaving Vienna, at the train station I managed to try the local leberkas which is a sandwich with specific bun and a thick slice of meatloaf. It tasted very good. I am in no way an Austrian and ignorant to a lot of what is just a common everyday thing. So having had my fill of museums, architecture and statues; I needed refreshments. I am aware that bread products are very popular but I am not good at carbs. I could have had the American franchise foods but why spend many hours on a plane for a burger. I noticed that in a mini food hall this store had a lineup so like a lemming I joined the line, for what I had no idea.
I looked at those already seated and saw a meat in a roll being washed down with a lager. I didn’t know the meat but on the board of choices and went with a kase (cheese) version. Now you will need to pay with cash but the meal is produced with a factory like efficiency by a quick worker doing the work of a saint- feeding the tired to pick them up.
It was so popular that when there was little room for diners people sat with strangers to enjoy this soft warm sandwich(?).

I was a hour or so early for my train, and wondered in to this restaurant/bar, I was after a cold larger. I have a lovely cold draugh lager and a Leberkas roll, I loved them they are so simple but delicious. Just the place if you have some time to spare. I will definitely visit when in Vienna.

They have a huge selection and the store is clean and pretty! I ordered an Apfelstrudel for 3,60€. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with it. The Apfelstrudel was completely cold. I think most people prefer their dessert to be warm and fresh.. but eating it felt like eating frozen desert from the supermarket :( I think it’s unfortunately very overpriced for what you get.

We were hungry and wanted to grab something simple and quick. Requested a bosna. The worker pointed to "cash only' before he made the sandwich and we agreed. It had a good texture, flavorful and messy. There was a crispy onion and a powder on top. It went well with soda. Service was fast and efficient.
I asked for Bosna sausage as they had it pictured on the menu. The person at the counter was not nice at all when I ordered. In the end he made a simple hot dog in a huge white bun that was totally different from the image on the menu. I didn’t make a scene and paid for it. Also, he accepted cash and made the food with the same hands. Dirty place. I’d never go back or recommend foreigners to go there.

Double smoked sausage was extra dark but VERY nice. Everything else is also good but nearly burned my mouth off with the pickled jalapeños. Mustard and horseradish is my favourite condiment still.
Owner has a big plus in my book because he actually bothered to come out and sternly chase away the homeless guy harassing other customers.
This was such a warm welcome to Vienna! It was right outside of our Airbnb. We loved the garlic bratwurst. What a great value! Very fair prices and kind service.

The schnitzel was amazing! The size was so big. They’re both great with pork and veal. But if you’d like to try the original one, I’d recommend the pork schnitzel.
The service was spectacular. I don’t remember the name of the gentleman who serviced us, but he’s been amazing. So kind and very service-minded, also very helpful for choosing the wine.

I’m giving this 3 out of 5. The food was great, don’t get me wrong. But a 45 minute wait, the food was on our table 5 minutes after ordering. It felt like an anti climax. To find out the main is quite expensive and literally comes with nothing else on the plate. Sides are all extra. Had the fries, which were mostly batter and very little potato. The salad wasn’t bad though. With a good mix of veg. There are better restaurants to visit where you’ll have a better atmosphere and not have to queue for a ridiculous amount of time. My bill came to about €74. Two mains, two beers and two sides.
Tonight, I ordered marinated fried chicken and fried pork chops!

We had the schnitzel, spinach dumplings, potato salad, and the kaiserschmarrn. We loved everything! The schnitzel is MASSIVE. And if I went again, I maybe wouldn’t order the spinach dumplings?? Though they were absolutely tasty! Kaiserschmarrn is a must though, so save room.

Overrated and overpriced. The food is nothing special — I’ve had better chicken schnitzels in Vienna for half the price. Actually they don’t have chicken schnitzel. I asked twice if the cordon blue was similar to the schnitzel but waiter insisted its like nugget so we ordered both beef and cordon blue. Beef schnitzel (€27) was disappointing, chicken cordon bleu (€21.5) tasted like a regular café meal. Maybe original pork schnitzel is good. Also they don’t give you water for free :) The potato salad was tasty but again overhyped.
The younger staff were polite, but the older waiters were dismissive and condescending.
If you still want to come, make a reservation at least a week in advance and please don’t waste your time waiting in line.

Food was pretty okay, wouldn't shout much about the Schnitzel but the only outstanding thing, was the size. It was really huge and could feed two. I loved the potato salad and the fries, they were amazing.
Overall I don't feel welcomed, regardless of race. We didn't tip during billing because of how we didn't enjoy the service. It would have been perfect if the service was good, because we will definitely top it up with a tip and that wouldn't end up with our receipt being thrown on the table.
The restaurant was packed so advanced reservations is highly recommended. Upon entering, you feel a sense of warmth and welcome. We were led to our seats on the second floor. Seats were tight but everyone was there for the same reason: The figmuller schnitzel. This plus the potato salad, lingonberry jam and a radler (would skip because it’s bottled). The schnitzel was crispy at the top and juicy in the middle. The jam was the closer. It was the best jam I had it was addicting. The potato salad was also next level. It was an explosion of flavors that I never had before.
The place is okay, not fancy or anything, but not bad either. The food is pretty good and the portions are big, so you won’t leave hungry. The main dish everyone talks about is tasty, but honestly, the other stuff is just normal, nothing too special. The staff is nice and tries to help, so that’s good, but sometimes it feels like you pay a lot for what you get. Like, a bottle of water or bread costs way more than I expected. The atmosphere is chill and relaxed, so it’s fine for hanging out or having a casual meal. Nothing really bad, nothing really amazing either. It’s just… okay. If you want to try it, it’s fine, but don’t expect anything super fancy or mind-blowing. Overall, it’s just a normal place with good food and nice people, even if some things are a bit pricey.

Schnitzel Wirt is a long-standing Austrian restaurant in Vienna, known for its cozy atmosphere and wide variety of schnitzel dishes. For over 35 years, this quintessentially Austrian joint has been serving traditional wiener schnitzel, with around 15 different variations to choose from. The restaurant's signature dish, the veal wiener schnitzel, comes in various creative forms such as the schnitzel a la Mexico, stuffed with paprika, mushrooms and ham.
The restaurant had a long line, but the staff were incredibly organized in seating guests, so even if you see a queue, it's definitely worth waiting! The staff could communicate in English and were all very friendly and welcoming. We were seated at a large round table at the very back of the indoor area, where we shared the table with a lovely Swiss couple—wishing them a pleasant meal and a safe journey.
The restaurant also had clean, bright restrooms available for use. The food was absolutely delicious. My companion said it was the most unforgettable traditional dish she’s ever had, and I was genuinely impressed by the salad—the seasoning and texture of the potatoes were flawless. The space was clean, the décor charmingly classical, and overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

A very energetic gentleman did the presentations; they were fast, efficient, and friendly. Went here searching for the traditional veal schnitzel, turns out it's not available here. Ate the turkey schnitzel, with the thin breading that is not the crispy typed one as i think it contains egg, also thick turkey with flavors that indulged in beautifully! Salad was just okay, it's part of the package, but if you want to choose another type of salad, you can order separately. There will be a long queue, so it's somewhat better for late lunch or early dinner (fewer people in the line)
Everything’s perfect about the restaurant: the food, the service, the ambiance. I tried my first schnitzel here and even though I don’t like meat in general, it was good with cabbage salad and my favorite cranberry souce.
The ambiance was very cozy and warm and joyful and lively. It brought me very comfortable feelings. Would love to come back again.

Where to begin? We made a reservation the day before for a Saturday night and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was 10/10, as was the friendly service, and that’s before we even received any food. I had the schnitzel with potato salad which was excellent and flavoursome and my mate had the veal, which was lovely and smoky with a delicious Brussels sprout and bacon side. I followed it up with the apricot pancakes, though I could probably have done with one and shared the other. The beer was excellent and the meal was good value all in all (€50pp inc drinks, 2 courses and a tip). An experience I’d highly recommend for your visit to Vienna.

This place has a fantastic setup, with plenty of seating both inside and out. But the real star is the outside area; it's super cute and green, absolutely perfect for enjoying a meal when the weather's good. The staff here are also a plus; they're friendly and genuinely welcoming.
The food was good overall. I've had slightly better elsewhere, but it definitely hit the spot. It's the kind of place I'd happily bring family visiting from out of town. The combination of the great ambiance, friendly service, and solid food makes it an easy recommendation for a pleasant dining experience.
Food was quite good. The jam was very good, and the schnitzel wasnt dry or oily. Trout had a lot of dill, but i like dill. The beetroot salad was good, but not worth the price. The most suprising thing was the really nice interior ambiance when i was expecting more of a beer garden feel.
Absolutely gorgeous dining experience either as a solo dinner or with a large group. I had the Potato and Leek soup for an entree, which was wonderful and creamy, and very well complimented by the mushrooms (which you may ask to be removed if needed). For my main, I had a Viennese style of Goulash, which is a lot meatier and spicier than the Hungarian style (which is a soup). It was lovely, the servings are large to make up for the price. And absolutely beautiful terrace area, although quite busy, would reccomend reserving a table or two.

A hidden gem! The place looks great — modern, stylish, but still cozy and welcoming. The vibe was amazing, relaxed yet full of life. The waiter joked around with us and made it all feel natural and fun. The food was really good, the drinks even better. We sat at the high table and ended up talking with people we’d never met before — one of those nights that just feels right. Loved it.
Our favourite dinner in Vienna. Julia, our server, was fantastic. We started with the bacon wrapped goat cheese, 10/10. The boiled beef and goulash were incredible as our mains, but the potato pancakes were the absolute highlight. We finished with Hungarian dumplings that were delicious. Definitely recommend.

This place doesn’t look special, like any other cafe in the Naschmarket, but the food was superb. I had the French toast with fresh berry compote. We also had pancakes which were great. One of our party had the granola with yogurt. I highly recommend that his place. Worth a visit.

Neni used to be one of our favorite places cozy atmosphere, delicious breakfasts, and lots of fond memories. We often came here with my family and celebrated birthdays. Our absolute favorite was the pancakes with salted caramel, cream sauce, pecans, sesame seeds, and blueberries we had them regularly for over two years.
But this time everything was ruined. The dish arrived without pecans or blueberries, served on cheap-looking tableware. After we pointed it out, the waiter brought the missing ingredients in a single sauce dish — clearly not enough for two portions. It felt like we were being tricked, and if we hadn’t known what the dish was supposed to look like, we might not have noticed at all.
My daughter was especially disappointed, this place had sentimental value for her. It’s really sad to see the quality and attention to detail decline so much. Unfortunately, we no longer feel like coming back.
We enjoyed a tasty dinner at NENI. Our server named Give was amazing. Food arrived fast after ordering, portions were quite large. There were several vegetarian options on the menu. I recommend making a table reservation in advance. I would appreciate if they accepted card payment and not just cash. The chairs were quite uncomfortable, I recommend buying some pillows or smaller cushions and place them on the chairs for a more pleasant experience. We will be back next time we visit Vienna!
This is one of the authentic middle Eastern cuisine spot. We tried falafel, aubergine steak, Kunafa with yoghurt ice cream is worth trying. It balance the flavours. Highly recommended. Its cash only and ATM is located at 50m from the entry.
This was a nice Mediterranean restaurant. The service was great. Lots of staff members around and all seem to be helpful . The food quality was on point. The apps all great with the humus stealing the show for us. The main dishes did not disappoint and came out pretty fast. Try the Kunafeh but I would ask for it without the topping as it the flavors did not mix well with lemon yogurt or whatever that was. Majority of the seating is outside and they do have some shade areas but in the heat it did not help much and there is no air conditioning inside the restaurant. Overall food was great and recommend this place if you are visiting.

💯 This place worth the hype it gets on social media for sure.
The wait is not so frustrating because they work super fast and in less than 10 minutes, you’ll have your food.
The food taste is also perfect. I tried smoked wurst and the one with cheese inside and both were really tasty.
The only thing that can be bothering is that they don’t have english menu.
I know it is just a small stand that sells sausage. I know there is no seating area and the line can get long, you might wait over 30 minutes. But I am telling you, it is absolutely worth the wait and the hype. The baguette might look like too much bread at first, but it was the softest and fluffiest bread I have ever had. It actually made the sausage taste even better. I definitely recommend this place.
The sausages here are amazing, worth getting through the abrupt service. The person managing our order forgot to give us a drink and we stood there waiting. He got on his phone to chat and then kept asking what else we wanted while getting us more brown bread. It took a few slices of bread to get the radler we ordered, all while he was frustrated with us.
This doesn’t outweigh how good the sausages are. I will continue to visit this stand when I am in Vienna because it really is so delicious.

The first time we went, I figured the guy was just tired. Maybe a rough dinner rush. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. Then we came back the next night and nope. Same guys, same faces that looked personally offended we dared to order food. These aren’t bad days. This is their whole personality.
We got the spicy sausage and the cheese sausage. Both were great. But as we were leaving, we almost witnessed a full-on fight between a local and one of the trolls. If the locals are over it, you know it’s not just you. Sausages are worth it. Just don’t expect a smile.

This place was recommended by our hotel, so we made a reservation in advance to try the schnitzel. The atmosphere was cozy and had an authentic Austrian feel, which we really appreciated—it felt very local. Great Austrian food and style. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The snitzel was huge. The mushroom prosciuto home made Tagliatele were also very good.

The bill was a little over 80€ for two people. I had the deer schnitzel with pumpkin as my main and bone marrow as an appetiser. The deer schnitzel was a bit tough, but the pumpkin was delicious. The bone marrow was good, though it didn’t fall off the bone too easily. The garlic that came with the bone marrow was incredibly salty even when used sparingly

A nice restaurant with good food. The garlic soup was perfect. We took a wheelbarrow of food for four people; the dish turned out to be too large for four. Delicious pork chops and grilled meat, good fries, and various varieties of dumplings. I recommend this place, both the food and the service.
Came here at opening hours, so I got a window seat. The interior was decorated with beer signs and lots of miniature beer truck toys (according to the owner, roughly 4000!). There's a very rustic and cozy feel to the place, making the place warm and comfortable on cold days.
The owner and staff were extremely friendly, recommended some menu items, and they regularly came to check on us to see if everything was fine.
The food was delicious and served in a large portion. The weiner schnitzel breading was light, so one wouldn't be sick of eating such a large portion. The potato side dish with acidity from shallots were a great compliment to the main dish.
Unfortunately we were already full, so we didn't get a chance to sample the desserts. Definitely worth a visit to relax and enjoy a nice meal!

Upon arrival I was greeted with a smile & shown to my table. The decor was a mixture of 'vintage' and 'classic', with the occasional measurement pun, a nod to the restaurants name.
The service was swift, and all staff polite & friendly, providing me with English menus, and my first drink within a few minutes.
I waited for 12 minutes for my food, a perfectly acceptable wait time for Goulash. And it was well worth the ~€17 that I paid for it. Excellent beef, sauce & dumplings. The chocolate cake dessert was a fantastic addition to my order, too. All food, service and atmosphere absolutely 10/10.
Holy...this place is simply amazing! We came here two days in a row, tried 3-4 dishes and every single one of them was fantastic. The ribs are something you absolutly have to try. The service was very quick and the food came out fast as well. You might want to make a reservation, but even when we came without one we didnt wait more than 10-15min.

The “Big Tasty” breakfast option was good and cooked perfectly, but unfortunately it was very salty—perhaps just an off day in the kitchen. The shakshuka was over-spiced for my taste.

Tabula rasa has so many things and I think it can be considered as 1.5 portion size. Avocado plate is delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place for breakfast.

I had their signature dish. It was very tasty, the pork was tender and luscious, the dumplings were good and homey, the cabbage was much needed to cut through all richness of the pork. Could have used more acid to cut through, but if you got the perfect stack bite of cabbage, pork, and dumpling there was magic to be tasted.

Good food, good portions (the bowls are larger than they look) and reasonably priced. But I would call this more of a cafe than a restaurant as there's just a few high tables squeezed in and it's not really a restaurant if you are served in cardboard bowls. Bathroom decor is really 'out there' and might not be to everyone's taste. Service is friendly enough, but they forgot part of our order which we had to ask about - at least we were gifted a free soup to say sorry which was nice.

We had the schnitzel trio which was a great introduction to schnitzel. I couldn’t really tell what is what protein but all of them were good. The potato salad was great. The roast pork with dumplings were my favorites from the potato dumplings to the pork it was so juicy, flavorful and tender.
This is a found! We really enjoyed this place, so much that we went for two days straight! The service is great, and the food is really delicious with a nice price.

The apple strudel is out of this world! The layers of apple and thin crust are baked to perfection. The plum dumpling an absolute delicious and well worth the 15 minute wait. The café is large but bustling and full. Clearly well loved by the public. We learnt about the café from a friend who used to frequent the café. Very grateful for the recommendation.
Lovely coffee house, a unique mix of old school furniture and flair combined with light filled rooms with high ceilings, lovely vibe. Ample outside seating as well, inside you can also find the numerous newspapers to browse. Super nice Topfenstrudel, very Topfen forward. Coffee is available in decaf as well, and waiters are quite quick and friendly, some more than others but I felt well cared for. I also liked the cups and plates in Prückel design.

Cozy beer-hall vibes and big steins make this a great spot to settle in after a stroll through Spittelberg. The Gebackene Käsevariation was crispy outside, melty inside, and perfect with the lingonberry and creamy dip. The BBQ ribs stole the show, tender, nicely grilled, and not too loaded in sauce, an absolute must-order. The pork schnitzel was well-fried and came with a tasty potato salad, but I was disappointed that they only offered pork even though it’s advertised as “Wiener schnitzel”, I was expecting beef.

An absolute must. Delicious, melt in your mouth fresh baked bun, with a delectable traditional made in Vienna Sausage. Topped how you would like or choose from their menu. I decided to go for the classic but with a twist. Instead of the ketchup and mustard I asked for the Austrian mustard, and had no issues with my request. The place is busy and only open a few days a week. The staff was wonderful, the prices are fair and the small but quaint establishment is enough for their business. It does have a few tables and they free up pretty quickly so eating in doesn’t take long. I did get a table within 5 mins of placing my order and once you are seated they will make your sausage so it’s fresh. The bun was so soft and fresh, and the sausage was super tasty . The sausage is undoubtedly the star: excellent, juicy, and with a quality you can taste from the very first bite. The combination with the soft bun and all the toppings (I love the fried onions and sauerkraut visible in the photo!) is simply perfect. A true comfort food in a gourmet version. You can tell there is care in the choice of ingredients.
But a place is not just about good food, and this is where Vienna Sausage excels: the staff is extremely friendly! A warm and cheerful service always makes a difference, making the experience even more pleasant and welcoming.

It is a family run Viennese Sausage restaurant with very limited seating in a quaint small footprint. The menu is limited to drinks and sausages only. While there are no sides, they do one thing extremely well- sausages! The buns are made in house, amazing toppings and sausages are perfectly cooked and very high quality. Service is delivered with a smile and the owners are extremely kind and friendly. They happily answer questions about the city while you enjoy your meal. We will certainly be back again multiple times. Support this local shop, it is one of the best in the city!
The best Käsekraner in Vienna without a doubt! The customizable toppings and homemade, natural bun, set this sausage shack apart from all the rest. The owner, René, individually welcomes every guest, explaining the menu in detail for newcomers and regulars.
The special truffle sauce on the Mozart is such a salty treat, probably the most popular choice. The Imperial is a lot of meat and has other tasty ingredients, it will satisfy any hankering. Personally, I enjoy the Old Vienna. It has the right amount of bite and the tang of the mustard compliments the sausage so nicely.
I only wish there was more seating in the restaurant during the lunch rush. A couple more tables outside would help with this. I also hope he decides to be open for more days, we want more Vienna Sausage!
Pro tip: If you enjoy spice ask for their off-menu hot sauce on the side.

The atmosphere was great, the food was good as well, some plates were excellent and some were good, the butter at the beginning was divine- wow 🤯
The desserts were incredible as well, and we loved the concert of the fix meal, that you don't need to think too much.. but on the other hand not all dishes would have been a first pick.

The most delicious vegan food one can find! I went here with my family of 4 for my birthday and the food really did exceed my expectations.
We booked a table and although it said, that the spot was only reserved for 2 hours, we stayed for more than 4. So don’t worry about that! They have plenty room, also for groups and everything is friendly and clean.
Food wise: The sharing plate concept is such a nice twist, as you can try and eat as much as you want. Everything was beautiful and combined so many ingredients that you would normally not eat that way. The dessert was heaven, and after they asked us if we liked a dish especially and brought us another portion without extra price.
You can choose vegan or vegetarian- but actually everything is vegan except the butter and one dessert. Worth all the money and perfect for any festivities.
I had reserved this restaurant based on our visit to Vienna and really wanted to try it out. We chose chef's tasting menu and there were three courses with multiple dishes. The freshness of ingredients and individual taste of each ingredient in the dish could be easily tasted. Even though everything was impeccable, we really liked the gazpacho and cheesecake. And the quantity was more than enough for the two of us. Everytime a dish came the servers explained the dishes and the ingredients.
Great place for Vegans as you can choose either a vegan or vegetarian course menu. The dishes were all delicious and extremely well-balanced in flavours with some delicious surprises (olive granola for dessert).
Overall, slightly too many pastes/saucy meals, would have appreciated a slightly lighter meal on this hot June day, with some changes in consistency. Still an excellent meal.
The one minus was that they gave us actual butter, which I ate until I noticed it's not vegan. This should not happen in a specialised restaurant and the young waiter, although well-meaning was more confused than anything and the header waiter apologized properly though.
The best customer service we have had in Europe, by far, with kind and attentive staff. The vegan menu (which is pre-set, no dishes are a la carte) was delicious and filling, perfect for those who enjoy sharing plates of food, which is our favorite! The highlight for me was the risotto, which was so rich! We paid 60€ each and felt it was totally worth it!

A really fantastic set menu of vegetarian dishes that were all thoughtfully conceived and executed. I was blown away by the balance achieved amid some pretty punchy flavours. The seasonal menu included standout starters such as the beetroot tartar and kohlrabi bites. The mains were earthy and rustic, especially the leek gnocchi which was just lovely. Overall, my partner and I enjoyed our visit a few weeks ago and loved the creativity of the chef and the wonderful service from the whole team.

They have enough space for bigger groups and normally also take walk ins- although I recommend to book a table on sunny weekends as it can be quite full on sunday and saturdays. Also the service sometimes is a bit slow, but all in all still very recommended.

Didn’t expect it but this place was a total gem! Went for brunch and honestly couldn't be happier with my choice. Built my own breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, pickled onions, fresh greens, 2x chorizo and feta - and wow, the combo was killer! Super savory and hit all the right spots.

This is a bakery combined with a cafe. The eggs Benedict were not as good. The egg white was not properly cooked. The hollandaise sauce had a very weird texture - they probably added flour or starch or something like that which resulted in not a silky but rather liquid dough-like texture. The overall taste was fine but not super delicious. The hot chocolate was good although too sweet for me. The staff were not very welcoming although did their job. Overall I would not come here again for a meal, maybe I could give the bakery a chance
We ordered egg benedict, porridge, and hot chocolate here. They are all really good. The egg benedict is flavourful with thick sauce. Porridge is my favourite, very easy to eat coming with variety of fruits. Hot chocolate is also really good. Overall quite good with the price.
A fantastic upgrade from the classic Ströck experience.
I tried the focaccia, and it was excellent — and as a chef with experience in baking breads and focaccia, I can say it was really well done: fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly baked. The coffee was also very good, smooth and well-prepared, which makes this place just as strong for a quick coffee break as it is for a full meal.
The decoration is amazing, creating a warm and stylish atmosphere, and the food is on another level — creative, fresh, and much more elevated than the usual bakery offerings.

Great brunch here, the portion size was perfect for the price, I had a latte which was served in a tall large glass. The eggs and bacon on sourdough and also yoghurt with nuts. Very good and I’d recommend you add this place to your list of restaurants to visit.

Goat cheese starter and fresh potato chips (which came with two dips - the tzaziki was excellent)
Potato cordon blue and potato pan with pork for mains. Every main came with a delicious fresh salad.
Mozart dessert for... Dessert. This was a bit different to what we expected - the almond cake was a bit dry (still tasty) but the hot chocolate and warm apples balanced it well.

Our food arrived quickly, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt, and every bite was genuinely delicious. They also suggested the ideal local beer to pair with our meal. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion size.
I loved it so much that, despite only being in Vienna for four days, I returned with a colleague so they could experience it too. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great traditional fare and outstanding service!

Fantastic food. Everything on the menu is typical austrian cuisine so you can't go wrong if you are overwhelmed with choices. Great environment, and not touristy at all. Also, the best sauerkraut I have ever tasted.
Start the night with mixed beer while looking through the menu. Decided to begin with a nice vegan soup, then the garlic bread with goose liver together with jam, have the genuine Veal Wiener Schnitzel or Sausage with sauerkraut the top off with chocolate cake with cream together with Grappa schnapps. Food is genuine and service is sincere.

Don't be fooled by the weird name and the questionable decor - the food here SLAPS. The cucumber salad was so delicious I want to eat it again right now, the schnitzel was great, the knödels and the sausages amazing. The only thing I was not a fan of was the sauerkraut (my friend said it was just the normal Austrian sauerkraut, which is a bit sweeter than I like - I like it real sour). Anyhow, GO HERE FOR A CASUAL LUNCH!!!

This place is emotionally warm and informal, essentially loved by both families and students. The dishes are made of high quality food and several dishes are handmade. No pallet furniture, no 3rd Wave coffee - simply good, also vegetarian food and non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks (try the Turkish red wine!) until late at night in a pleasant atmosphere with great, attentive service, in the large inner courtyard in summer, in the winter garden or brick vault. Unfortunately when I came back to pick a Döner Sandwich for take away I was a bit disappointed. 6.90€ give you a tasteless spongy bread, tasteless white sauce and tasteless meat.

Overall satisfactory experience. The restaurant itself is located right next to the Brunnenmarkt, so you get additional experience from shopping around in the streets, where there are more than a few Turkish, Arab and Asian shops around.
The place is clean and spacious. It has a unique style. Waiters are friendly, polite and helpful. Prices are a bit expensive in comparison with the taste of the dishes.
The restaurant is located in a nice area. Five minutes walking distance from the metro station. It is a family friendly restaurant. Not among the places I would love to visit again.
Gorgeous garden, decent food. Many dishes are premade and sometimes are served lukewarm, grilled dishes can be dry. Nevertheless, It's the perfect place for a dinner on a hot Vienna evening. The service can sometimes be hit and miss, really depends on the waiters and their mood. Without the garden it wouldn't be worth a visit but it's such a lovely hidden oasis that it makes up for all little shortfalls.
Since I heard from a number of people this Turkish restaurant was amazing and considering many Turkish people live in Vienna, I was expecting a lot more.....and so even though the food and service were passable, I was a little disappointed 😔

Honestly, not much to shout about here. The hotdogs are decent, big portions, filling, and convenient if you’re nearby. But nothing mind-blowing. Is it nice? Sure. Worth making a trip for? Not really.
It’s a takeaway-only spot with no seating, so you just stand at the side to eat. The vibe is pretty standard, nothing remarkable. The staff came across as a little grumpy and impatient when explaining the different flavors in English, though I can’t really blame them with the constant flow of tourists, it’s just part of the experience.
Overall, it’s fine for a quick bite if you happen to be passing by, but definitely not a must-try destination.

Würstelstand am Hohen Markt is a great spot to enjoy authentic Viennese street food at a very affordable price. The sausages are delicious, fresh, and served with a variety of condiments like mustard, ketchup, and fresh bread rolls. It’s the perfect place for a quick bite, especially if you are walking around the city and want to experience something local and traditional. The atmosphere is casual and lively, often visited by both locals and tourists, which makes the experience even more authentic. Gastwirtschaft Wratschko is a traditional Austrian restaurant in Vienna that offers a cultural dining experience. The wood-paneled and dimly lit establishment has a pub-like atmosphere where the waitstaff serve with a touch of Austrian sass. The menu features traditional Austrian cuisine, including some unique items like pigs' stomach. Despite initial skepticism, the late Anthony Bourdain was pleasantly surprised by the local meat and vegetable dishes during his visit to this cozy and authentic beisl.
TLDR - While I am not at all some professional food critic, this is THE BEST meal I have ever had in my entire life.
On our trip to Vienna, my fiance and I looked up some places that would be good to try traditional Viennese cuisine. Wratschko popped up on a list and it was even mentioned that Anthony Bourdain came by here so we figured it's worth the try.
So.... THE FOOD.
On our first night, we ordered the minced meatballs with mashed potatoes and the chicken in a chanterelle sauce with dumpling. The chicken was cooked completely through, yet still remained juicy and tender. The sauce was a tad saltier than i may have preferred, but the whole dish was still unbelievable. The meatballs were dense and savory, and the well flavored with this dish's own unique sauce. The starchy sides came exactly as they should in texture and flavor (okay, actually the mashed potatoes were nothing like I'd ever tasted anywhere else - creamy, fluffy, but also had chunks of diced potato. Both times we got them, they tasted like this and it was incredible), and even the steamed vegetables that seemingly garnished the plate only added to the dishes' flavor profiles. These veggies kept their natural colors as overcooked ones tend to, and each night was crisp and bright, contrasting the denser flavors of the meats and starches.
This meal was so good, we had to come back on our last night in Vienna.
On this second visit, which I am writing as I eat, we ordered the boiled beef with pumpkin oil as a starter (similar to a Tafelspitz) the minced meatballs again (fiance wanted to repeat that) and the roasted lamb. The boiled beef was very interesting. It tasted almost like a Vietnamese beef salad, except with more European flavors. The pumpkin oil was mixed with a hint of balsamic and the herbaceous aroma of parsley pierced through just enough with each bite of beef, spiraled radicchio, and diced peppers. The roasted lamb would be #3 if I had to rank all the main dishes we've tried, but nonetheless cooked perfectly, and it's only fault is that I feel like I could've had the same dish at a different restaurant.
Finally on this second visit, we ordered the pancakes with apricot jam as a dessert to share. It's more of a thick crepe than a pancake. Fluffy, with some sugary charred ends, balanced with the tartness of the jam, and dusted over with some powdered sugar. Delicious.
As for environment, the restaurant has a cozy, old-timey interior with candlelit tables and wooden walls. The downside of the inside is that it's not well-ventilated and the kitchen smoke billows a bit through. You'll leave smelling like a bit of grease. They do have outdoor seating though so if you can't stand it, wait for the outside? There is one server/bartender/busgirl and one chef working this whole restaurant. This place is just out of this world. I will miss this restaurant more than the whole rest of Vienna.

People are smoking here so You should ask about smoke free table. We were invited for first free table and we didn't noticed that couple of customers were smoking cigaretes.
Stunning old fashioned Austrian cuisine. Besides perfect still perfect!! The only thing is you may need to wait for a bit, due to they only get one chef. But do order a pint of decent local beer for yourself and maybe you can have a great conversation with the owner about indie music.

One of the best eating experiences. Please, English-speakers, treat this place with love and respect. It's a pub stuck in time with great food, fine beer, smoky atmosphere, and some of the best green beans I've ever had (no kidding, try them). They don't have an English menu, but servers are kind and patient. This is Vienna at its best.

The waitress was very friendly and gave us great recommendations to taste the local food with nice beer.

If you only have time to get one dinner in Vienna, make it here. An unforgettable experience. We felt so well cared for the whole dinner; each member of the team seemed like they made our dining experience a priority. I particularly appreciated the interest our waiters took in recommending wines to us. They genuinely seemed to care about making sure we enjoyed our wine while also pushing us out of our tasting comfort zone. Dining here opened my horizons to a whole set of wine tastes I had never experienced before. And this is to say nothing of the food. The lettuce hearts with peach and feta was a standout appetizer, and the lamb neck with chanterelles had a very well-balanced taste profile. I was so glad we got a chance to experience this place.

We decided to have a nice birthday dinner, choosing the chef choice of 6 dishes and the wine pairing. All dishes were delicious, but more importantly the wine pairing was exactly right. Our top dishes were definitely beetroot tartar, salmon and smoked fish empanadas.
The service was very kind and they even brought a candle in our desserts. Their knowledge of wines is exceptional. All the other guests seemed to also enjoy their time.
We left stuffed and happy. Thank you for the evening!
My wife and I had a tremendous meal at the charming MAST Weinbistro in October. We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and enjoyed excellent, friendly and professional service throughout our dinner. We started with exceptional sourdough with raw milk butter and cheese sausage “bar snack.” We had delicious appetizers of chick peas and fennel and pumpkin and feta. The dessert of apple sorbet and dark chocolate was amazing, too. The quality of the ingredients and the skilled preparation were evident in each dish. As one would expect, the wine offerings were splendid as well. We would happily return to the MAST Weinbistro on our next trip to Vienna.
A very good gastronomy tasting experience! The atmosphere there was simply amazing! The two owners was serving us by themselves which adds so much to the experience. There were alwqys humbly smiling. The service was very nice and made our stay very welcome. The food itself was interesting to taste. Not everything was special, some dishes were very a little bit plain and seemed like easy to make, but others were out of this world! Very good wine list. We had two different tasting menu and we specialy recommend the Oxtail x feta x corn, pumpkin, fawn saddle, raw alpine char. For not so much: pickled mountain trout, spaghetti pumpkin, or beets. Just one menu position was a bit misleading - the bone marrow entry - there is very little bone marrow and it’s not presented the expected way (not on the bone, just as a barely noticeable topping on the vegetables), so worth asking how does the dish look like in advance!

If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere with reasonable prices, check out Tunnel in Vienna. The menu includes sandwiches, pastas, soups and vegetarian dishes which can all be eaten for 5 or less. There's also a nice side garden with plants if you're looking for somewhere to sit and relax after a busy day. Unfortunately they don't currently have brunch but their breakfast is definitely worth checking out! The staff are friendly and the service is good.

We stopped by for breakfast before our flight and enjoyed both the classic breakfast and the ham & cheese omelette. Each was delightful, and I felt we received great value for what we ordered.
We also indulged in the chocolate cake, served warm, which was absolutely sensational. The interior of the café added to its charm, creating a lovely atmosphere.
However, the standout feature was the exceptional service. Our server was incredibly friendly and shared insights about the importance of cream in Viennese coffee. I completely agree; whipped cream enhances everything! His warm and humorous demeanor truly enriched our experience.
This was definitely one of our highlights during our time in Vienna. As a note - they only take cash at the establishment. Which wasn’t a problem for us in the slightest.

We weren’t quite sure about this place, but after a viral tweet by a famous person, I thought — why not give it a try? We went there specially for lunch.
But oh my god, I should’ve trusted my instincts.
We ordered a Masala Dosa and a Veg Thali. The dosa looked like it had just survived an oil spill — dry, chewy, and clearly made without love (or skill). The chutneys and sambhar had absolutely no flavor; the coconut chutney was made from dry desiccated coconut, which is honestly shocking for a so-called South Indian restaurant.
Then came the Veg Thali — plenty of curries, but none worth remembering. The only thing remotely decent was the samosa. That’s it.
We still finished our food because we were starving (and it was pricey), but the experience was a huge letdown.
To be honest, the best thing about Prosi is their Indian supermarket right across from the restaurant. You’re better off grabbing some Maggi and tea from there and enjoying a desi meal at home / airbnb instead of dining here.
The location is bit out of the city but a good place to try Kerala food. There was a bit of northern touch to the beef curry but the fish curry and kappa was excellent.
Possibly the best Indian restaurant in Vienna. Dosa and Biryani are recommendend, and their Palak Paneer is simply devine.
I often visit this restaurant, just because of the exceptional food, amazing South India dosa, good taste, fast service, good staff, I just noticed that sometimes they don't have a specific flavor for the dosa, for example chutney or sambar, otherwise everything is good👍🏼

If you want to try original, tradition Indien food, you have to try in prosi. I would say until now this is one of the best Indien food I ate in whole Austria. The portion was big and really delicious(if you can eat spicy that will be more tasty 👍🏻)
Sometimes they also have some events to join, I really recommend this to all Indian food lovers.
P.S: It usually takes time to prepare the food, like >30mins, but the waiting time is totally worthy.

Although it's very crowded, it's a very narrow market. Some aisles are closed with curtains. It's more expensive than other markets. It's nice that it's open on Sundays.
Went in here on the day of Corpus Christi because it was one of the only shops open and it was quite busy but the staff did their best to get everyone served as quick as they can, good service in there.

Their menu is not very large. Personally, we were only interested in bao, so that’s all I remember. I got one with pork and one with crispy chicken. Since I love poke, and the sauce in the pork bao reminded me of it, I really enjoyed the pork one. The crispy chicken bao is perfect—nothing extra, just pure perfection. Its simplicity perfectly highlights all the ingredients. It was amazing.

The BaoBar was a real street food gem in Vienna. It was my first Bao Bun too so this was the right place to lose my bao-ginity. The crispy chicken Bao was incredibly tasty with amazingly balanced mouth feel - both soft and crunchy. The sweet potato fries were divine too. Well recomended!

Below mediocrity at its finest for high prices in a very rundown place. For 19 euros the taste of this food is a disgrace. The hot sauce has no flavour other than the intense hotness, the sweet potato fries are burned at the edges and dry I'm the middle the "crispy" chicken is old and stale and the "crispiness" is tooth breaking instead of crunchy. As for the pork, this is one of the dryest and chewiest pieces of meat I had the bad luck in having to eat.
All around this place doesn't even reach mediocrity in terms of food quality to the extent that I would classify it as prison food.
So good we visited it twice when we visited Vienna! The crispy chicken baos were delicious and please try their peanut and hoisin sauce - it’s out of this world! One staff member was a little rude to us on the first visit but they were a lot friendlier the second time around.
The protein to bao ratio was so off. I felt like I was eating more bao than protein. Super disappointing when we only ate like have the bao bun and the protein is gone already 🥲 the photo makes it look so full but they put all the veggies at the bottom so it looks like a lot. I ordered the crispy tofu and it was so thin and small. Overall, delicious but wished they didn’t skimp on the protein so you an actually enjoy the whole thing.

La Pausa was a disappointment for us. Highly rated and recommended turned out to be a pizza fast-food. You pick your pizza out of ready ones, and they warm it up for you. There's no AC, plenty if flies... well let's just say we expected something better.

The staff is doing their best and is working hard, especially now when it’s that hot it must be exhausting, so be a bit patient.

So i decided to try it out of curiosity. I was in Naples last month and had enough of pizza. I would say it depends how someone likes their pizza, but I definitely LOVE this!! Every single pizza I had i was blown away! Thin crust and crispy! Drizzle with chili oil and basil leaves, you get the best pizza in town! I don't really like neopolitan pizzas cause it is soggy, but this place is highly recommended! Please never change the recipe. ☺️😍 Try the margarita, you will not regret it! And for the price, very affordable.. I found my favorite pizza place ❤️

Loved it. We had a traditional sausage with mayo, mustard and ketchup all mixed together inside the bread. Super nice, highly recommend. It was so good in a rainy day that we got to order the second one which was a spicy one. We were warmly offered curry sauce to go with it. We prefer the traditional one but both were nice. The seller even gave us a foil to wrap the leftover bread.

The guy was an absolute legend. The sausage was cooked to perfection. I had the vinegar pickles and the spiced pepper pickles on the side (gotta say, these are some of the best pepper pickles I’ve ever had). All-round good vibes—great, easy, quick street food.
We tried sausages in some of the most famous places, but found the flavors to be pretty standard and the service rather unfriendly. Here, instead, we found the best sausage of our stay in Vienna, combined with the owner’s kindness and great willingness to explain the menu to us (since it was written only in Austrian German).

Perfect fast stop to put some fuel in while watching people and tram passing by. From the reviews I saw that the currywurst looked amazing so I went for it. It is indeed really tasty and don't forget to put spicy sauce, it's the top notch. Also, the kiosk guy is the coolest guy in the world.

The Wiener Würstelstand is a small shack selling all sorts of hot dogs and sausages in Viennese style. It's popular with evening opera-goers and night owls, as well as those looking for organic sausage.
Nice little relaxed stand in a more residential/student area. While I had the vegan option and my husband had the meat option, both of us were impressed and satisfied! It was nice to have an option for both of us. The server was lovely and patient as we tried to communicate in broken German. Would happily recommend to anyone.

Service was funny as the guy showed us how he makes ‘potato mushrooms’ with the remains of their potatoes after making the chips. Fun talk! The Käsekrainer was good but not super impressive, and the bread with it was a bit stale. Chips were amazingly fresh and crispy though; yums!

A really beautiful restaurant inside a cellar. You are feeling that you are in a medieval restaurant. Amazing pork schnitzel( it surely was as good as expected), huge portions, with tasteful potato salad. We also tried local sausages and two glasses of wine (55€ in total for two persons). We had a wonderful dinner here tonight. Trout, potatoes and salad. Very tasty and expertly cooked. The atmosphere was comfortable and our waiter was helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back. We also enjoyed our dessert of apple strudel and mini pancakes( like crepes). We loved the soda beverage Almdudler too.
Everything was perfect! We had a reservation so we got seated right away, the atmosphere is very cozy and warm, even though the restaurant was almost full it was pretty quiet!
We shared a very delicate and tasty goulash, a super crispy schnitzel and the best potato salad I had ever eaten (plus some sauerkraut, but that is always delicious)

I went here for lunch but will definitely go back for dinner so I can check out the lower ancient dining area. The food is excellent and the service is great! Such a warm and friendly place.
I would say that the restaurant is mainly aimed at tourists who come only once. The service was OK, wiener schitzel and beer standard (33,50€ I rounded it to 35€ and pay by card). The most interesting thing is the location under the ground. The toilet is a bit small, you have to be careful.
Dog friendly and interesting old world atmosphere. Food was great especially the appetizer pretzel they bring you at the beginning of the meal. We could have just kept eating those and called it a night. I do recommend the Vegetable Strudel! The staff was very busy, so it was a bit difficult to get our waiters attention when they forgot something with our order, but overall really unique Vienna dining experience.

We came for a disappointing brunch here as a party of six. The coffee was great, and it's a great atmosphere inside with nice decor. But our waitress was rude, telling us she "didn't have time" to check a dietary requirement, and the food was very disappointing; the vegan salmon is particularly awful. I think it would also be nice in the evening just for drinks.
A very unpleasant experience. We were just passing through, very hungry and tired in the morning, and chose this place because of its interesting decor. But right away, we were met with an unpleasant look from the waiter, who then came over and at first responded quietly, unclearly, and indifferently in English to my question about a vegan breakfast option. Then he rudely brushed us off, telling me to use Google Translate and figure it out myself, before walking away. It was such a pity to waste our time and energy on this place. Our morning mood was ruined by the waiter’s bad attitude. I do not recommend this place.
We had breakfast. Interesting experience as the waiter was one of a kind! He overcharged us two times for the same breakfast and added a 2€ charge for the credit card usage as a tip! Moreover, he throw the bread crumbles to the floor!!!

The restaurant's location in a residential area, but less than 5 minutes from Vienna's Westbahnhof is perfect too!

I highly recommend ordering a main course and ordering small side dishes - the Schnitzel was 10/10 and the potato + salad rounded it off 100% - and of course don't forget dessert - the Topfen cake served with cherries was my favourite!!! 🍒
They also have a garden area so it’s a great spot for the warm summer days.

Lost night, after we had the menu and finally decided the negative surprise come. Non of our three choices on a small menu was avaiable. Means more or less no vegetarian possibility anymore. This we could be informed before, before we order drinks. At a normal time on a weekend evening this seems more arrogant than anything else we will never go again.

I think I just had the best steak of my life. Turned up alone with no reservation. All the normal tables were taken but they let me sit inside as I did not mind . Staff were really friendly. The chef said the rib eye was the best and he was right . Watching the staff in the kitchen it was clear they enjoy there work and are very good at it . Very clean and a bargain. The best steak ever and 2 beers and a tip came to 30 euros . Eat here you will love it . English biker rob :)

At 9am most of the flowers already looked half dead. The staff was quite unfriendly, without no intention of helping you choosing the flowers for a bouquet and without no desire to sell what they have. This is a wonderful flower shop. I was looking for a place to order flowers for my son who lives in Vienna and Blumen Lippe Stadtpark was perfect. Their customer service was wonderful! They got back to me quickly, delivered beautiful flowers, and even delivered on a Sunday. My son and daughter in law loved the flowers and I’ve found my new favorite place to order a lovely gift of flowers.
