The 50 best cheap eats in Long Island City

Went here last Sunday. My group got a spread of 12 tacos: 4 chicken, 4 pork, 2 brisket, 2 fish. The brisket was the best. Came shredded and juicy. The fish was also pretty good. The chicken and pork tacos were pretty bland and very dry. All the tacos were served at the same time and all were tepid apart from the fish (which was nice and hot), so I think it might have been hanging around for a while waiting for the fish to be ready. On the bright side the service was lovely and attentive. We also got the cocktail specials which were delicious. Overall it's a nice place, but at $9 per taco, I had expected to be amazed, and they were just middling. An al-dente carrot slice in an already dry taco just does not work! p.s. we were sat outside and got mobbed by mosquitoes towards the end of the meal, so had to leave in a hurry. The staff did kindly provide bug spray though.

Great meal at Casa Enrique last night. We had an 8:30 reservation but were able to get sat early, as we arrived faster than anticipated. Lovely service, and we had enough pozole to bring home with us. Perfect as the weather is turning cold. Need to return to dig into more of their long cocktail list!

Great experience here on a Friday night! We were seated at the bar and our bartender/water was super attentive and made excellent drink/entree recommendations. One of the best spicy margaritas I’ve had in a while! He was very knowledgeable about the tequila/mezcal options which I appreciate. The food was good, elevated takes on traditional Mexican flair. Pop in if you can get a seat! It’s very busy!

The Casa Enrique brunch menu was a mixed bag. The flautas de pollo ($22 plus tax) and the pastel tres leches ($13) were hits. The guacamole ($18), though creamy, was very bland for something supposed to be medium spicy. This was concerning because the classics should be executed exceptionally. The virgin Bloody Mary was also a miss, the added sugar imparting an odd syrupy taste.

Went on a Sunday evening without a reservation and was warmly welcomed. The service was attentive and kind throughout. The guacamole was excellent—creamy and full of flavor—and the fresh chips were a perfect match. I also tried the spicy margarita, which was satisfying, though just a bit too spicy for my taste. The mole chicken was something new for me—rich and interesting, though I personally missed a touch of fresh herbs to round it out. The tortillas were fantastic, though—fresh and full of flavor. And whatever those crunchy little things they bring out before the meal are—totally addictive. Yum!

Came here last night for my bday dinner. I Had been wanting to try this place out for a long time and it was perfect! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed and then to top it off the food and drinks were amazing! Prob best margaritas ive ever had. So happy to have spent my bday here and cant wait to come back again. May have to check out brunch 😊

The food was delicious - I had the verde enchiladas and the tres leches (sublime). Service was quick and staff ever so friendly. As a solo traveler, it’s a bit more expensive but the food was so worth it. Great cocktails too!

Food missed expectations, the chicken meatball skewers were probably the best thing along with the Japanese ice dessert (arimatsu?). The lamb legs looked and tasted like airplane food and the ramen was ok.

Very cute and clean vibe at the restaurant. We went for lunch and got some appetizers. Lots of vegetarian friendly appetizers however we thought the two mains (veg ramen and rice bowl) were lacking in protein options (no tofu and egg cost additional). The veg ramen broth was very salty as well. We felt a bit pressured by the waiter who seemed to keep trying to urge us to order more food for the table and dessert even after we let them know we would not like any dessert. For the price we will most likely not be coming back.

I used to love this restaurant when I came here a few years ago, since the food was really good back then. But my most recent visit was an absolute disappointment. The food was shockingly bad. Two different chicken dishes had almost the exact same seasoning, and we had to wait a long time. The ramen was the worst I’ve ever had – I stopped after just one bite.

Service is great but food unfortunately isn't. Got the nanban chicken rice bowl and waited ages for it, and the chicken came out cold and not crispy at all. Food didn't taste authentic Japanese style. Black sesame latte was nice though.

This Japanese spot is right next to the 7 train, at the first stop in Queens. The interior is cozy, with lots of seating, and service is good (although they REALLY do try to upsell you on things, even after you said no multiple times—ie. additional toppings, drinks, desserts, etc.). They also have an ice cream shop here (Taku Parlour) that is available (but unfortunately, sold out when we went). We got their soy garlic wings and their ramen. Their wings were good but a lot of the pieces were really small. And, although the pork chashu in the ramen (I got their wantan men) was super soft and tender, I felt that the ramen was way too salty for me. Moreover, it doesn't come with an egg and if you do decide to get an egg add-on for $3, it comes in an egg cup and hard-boiled (as opposed to in the ramen and jammy/soft-boiled). Overall, I thought it was an alright spot, a bit pricer, and I'm not sure I would come back for their food.

The Ramen really failed my expectation for Ramen. Poor flavored broth, dry meat and cold hard egg… not worth $20+ at all. The chicken rice bowl feels like a bento takeout from hmart, cold and dry, softened fried chicken is a nonono.

Been going to this restaurant faithfully for years and love the interior, the decor, but the FOOD!! Always incredible ramen, and I travel from Brooklyn regularly for their karaage and chicken dishes. Love the hojicha, matcha, and sake options. And always have a great experience with staff.

Yumpling is one of the more authentic Taiwanese restaurants that I've been to in NYC, and I do like to stop by for a nice meal whenever I'm in the area. The restaurant itself is a bit small and doesn't have the most seats, but the counter service and food prep is pretty quick, and table turnover is correspondingly quick, too. I usually order one of the bian dangs here -- I was admittedly a bit put off by the DIY nature thereof haha but got over that. I really like their fried pork chop (classic Taiwanese bento) -- nicely fried without being too salty or soggy -- and I almost always opt for the lotus roots for the veggie side (really crunchy and delicious). The braised egg was a particular highlight :) I've also had the lu rou fan before (another Taiwanese classic) and while it was fine, I did find it to be a bit salty/oily, esp as you get to the bottom of the rice. Price point is a bit high, but not too crazy for the neighbourhood/NYC in general. I also have seen them post some (maybe seasonal) shaved-ice-esque desserts (which look pretty authentic haha) that I'd love to try sometime!

Authentic Taiwanese food! Had to have their popcorn chicken! So juicy and crispy. Their beef noodle soup is also pretty delicious. Very generous portion of beef. Mango shaved ice is good. Probably the classic Taiwanese flavor is better. Small shop with several tables to sit down and eat. Very friendly service and quick food delivery.

Definitely coming back here again! The service is very fast, the place is very clean, and the food was delicious and filling. They put cilantro in the beef noodle soup and the pork & chive dumpling which made them so flavorful. I probably wouldn't get the dumplings again because they're pricey, but the noodles were decently priced.

I would highly recommend the shoestring fries if you're a fan of thin, crispy fries. I liked the crispness of it and still had some potato on the inside. Wouldn't go during lunch time rush, unless you have at least 25 minutes to wait. I like to ensure premium crispiness, so I removed the chicken right after I got it to prevent sogginess. Lightly seasoned, which might be bland to some, but I would order again.

Tried “Yumpling trio” $19.75 to try all of the dumplings (chicken, pork and vegetable). Also got “Taiwanese popcorn chicken” $13.00 (for 8 pieces) and it was amazing, no sauce needed, juice and great flavor! The place was quite busy, when we arrived, so dining in might be difficult; they have 7 tables and 6 of them were taken when I arrived.

Great food and portion. Got the pork chop and loved it. Slightly salty on the veggies/condiments, but wasn’t too bad. Pretty close to what you can get in Taiwan.

Wouldn’t go back for the dumplings but would return for that whopper of a chicken sandwich. What a surprise that was! Dumplings: meh Spicy chicken sandwich: yay! The dumplings were fine but pricey and didn’t hit the mark on a traditional dumpling I was hoping for. They’re served in an odd sauce bath, the chili oil (the we had to pay extra for) is bizarrely sweet, and the filling is a bit dense (maybe the meat:veggie balance was off). In the end we made our own dumpling sauce at home (including “normal” chili oil). The tray of dumplings in this photo was $20 - $23 with tax and a cup of chili oil. Would recommend ditching the sauce bath and upgrading the dipping sauce provided, or offering a sauce bar that customers could use to make their own sauce. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Said to be the best Falafel in New York and it certainly did not disappoint. I am not too much of a fan of falafel, but this is pretty good. The sauce is a little bit too sour to my taste.

They have great falafel. We love coming here. Hummus was decent. Very small place. Usually folks have To-go orders.

Been coming to this location for many years. Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere brings back great memories. But lately I have noticed things are definitely changing. They got rid of their original homemade lentil soup. They now serve some ready made soup instead. Definitely not the same experience. Last time I was there, they were all out of shawarma and lamb kebab. They only had falafel, kofta and chicken kebab, at 9pm! I’ve been to this place hundreds if not thousands of times, never have I seen them be out of any kind of dish. It’s not the end of the world but when you take a long trip for over an hour to grab some good old shawarma sandwiches just to find out that they’re all out, it’s disappointing. I have been to some of their other locations but nothing beats an original location. I hope they bring back some of the old experience and continue to keep this place great as it always has been.

Wow, this place was amazing. The shawarma had the perfect balance of perfectly seasoned meat and refreshing vegetables. The falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Their menu offers great quality at very affordable prices. Just a heads-up, they only take cash, so come prepared

Excellent falafel shop near Washington Square Park with generous servings for the price. Outdoor seating on a classic Village street makes it a great stop for falafel.

Straight up solid falafel and shawarma pitas. The falafel is light and delicious and the shawarma is browned and savory. Hummus is smooth as butter. Hot peppers, spice, tahini makes the flavor POP. 1 or 1 tables inside, so be prepared to sit outside at one of their covered tables.

Order a shawarma, just the sandwich. Taste was outstanding, service kind and fast. Can’t see how you’d go here and be disappointed.

This French restaurant is a cozy little jewel in LIC. Service was good and the food was delicious. We took our family for brunch. I think it could be a great date night place. I will say that there are a few rough looking characters that hang out on that area of Vernon. There’s a police station right around the corner but still be alert. I wouldn’t let that stop me from going there for a date.

Dinner for one, Friday night. Price: $87, $15 tip. Had appetizer, entree, dessert, glass of beer, glass of wine, bottle of water. Let’s break it down! I was seated a few minutes after walking in, ice old beer came immediately. Waiters/staff are direct and to the point. No fluff, no nonsense. (I’m ok with that- they’re European!) Appetizer: The shrimp/chorizo salad was tasty, but light. I would have preferred more greens, less raw onion and maybe a lemon wedge for the shrimp. Portion could be bigger. Entree: Garlic chicken. Grilled nicely but a tad dry, the sauce saves you. I was not a fan of the mash…whatever that was. The chicken already has strong flavor of garlic, I don’t see the need to have more of it in the potatoes. It needed salt and most DEFINITELY butter. I was surprised I tasted no butter whatsoever, especially in a French dish. I recommend another side like a sweet potato or a just adding butter to whatever is being used instead of chucks of garlic. It was overbearing and heavy. Moderation, please. Portions for this dish were very generous. Dessert: no complaints at all. Cleaned the plate. Wine: ordered the 2023 Pinot noir, went well with dinner. Inexpensive and easy to drink. Service: timely, and professional. The waiters don’t hover over you and come over quick when called. I will return to try to some different dishes. I like the simplicity of the place but I wish Americans became more aware of how obnoxiously loud they are when they’re speaking in such a small, quaint restaurant. Contain your conversations, Brad. I can smell your breath from here.

Had an amazing evening at this lovely French bistro! The space was so romantic and cozy — perfect for a special night out. We started with the pâté and the salmon tartare — both were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The tartare especially was so bright and refreshing. For mains, the duck was perfectly cooked, and the beef bouillon was rich and comforting with deep, layered flavors. To finish, dessert was absolutely delicious — the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. Can’t wait to return!

Good food. Good service. Nice little restaurant in Long Island City next to the subway stop. Great place to have a casual dinner with friends or family.

Such a gem! We’ve eaten here a couple of times and absolutely enjoy it. Great food, great prices, and a very typical French experience overall (and amazingly doesn’t suffer from crowds of screaming Americans that try their best ruin your intimate date night…). The skate is def worth trying. It has a very tender and mild flavor. And of course the beef bourginon and soupe a l’onion are staples. Service is prompt and caring. Just what you’d expect of a traditional neighborhood resto that’s been around for ages. This isn’t for the insta famous crowds. It’s for a local couple who wants a solid meal for a solid price and a consistent experience.

Just got back from France, and dining at Tournesol felt like we never left! This authentic French restaurant gave us a truly wonderful experience. We were greeted warmly upon arrival, and the owner’s kindness made us feel right at home. Got a nice bottle of wine to start. For appetizers, we had the duck tartine and the crab cake special with lobster gazpacho—absolutely delicious and full of flavor. For entrées, we went with the specials: lamb shank and a white fish dish served with polenta. Both were cooked perfectly, rich and comforting just like a true French meal. To finish, we shared the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée, which instantly transported us back to Paris. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate—not too loud—making it a perfect spot for conversation. We loved everything about this place and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

This is one of those places where it’s worth trying everything on the menu because every dish fully meets expectations. I really liked the presentation of the plates, and the octopus is a must-order. The restaurant’s atmosphere includes elements representative of Peru, which elevates the overall experience. Unfortunately, our waitress was not friendly. She made us feel rushed the entire time and even brought the check before we had finished eating. Still, we left a 20% tip because the rest of the staff was very kind and the food was top-notch.

this is the second time I visited Jora, and the service, atmosphere, food is incredible! The first time I went, I had a reservation. The second time I went, we walked in and they had a table available. Our friends were able to join us on a whim too, and the staff was super accommodating to that. Honestly, all the cocktails, food, and dessert that we got were amazing and no complaints. The staff is super mindful about giving the table space to eat, watching the table if anybody needs anything and the food comes out pretty quickly. Highly recommend!

Jora offers excellent Peruvian dishes. Ceviche carretilla has a prefect blend of flavor and texture with fresh ingredients; tangy and savory, tender and crunchy. Grilled octopus was smoky, not chewy, served over a bed of creamy yukon mille fueille. Salmon was exactly how I like it; crunchy skin with juicy and tender meat, melts in my mouth. Aji amarillo curry was a great addition to the flavor profile with a touch of creaminess. Aji de gallina is a beautiful dish with shredded chicken, I like the addition of quail eggs. The restaurant is spacious, offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. The bar area is quite nice. We were seated immediately without a reservation on a Saturday afternoon. Service is good, although server forgot to deliver my drink even though the restaurant was not crowded at the time. I would recommend this restaurant for the food itself. It's a great place to try if you are looking for Peruvian dishes.

The paella was so delicious, along with the ceviche as the app. The charred broccolini was also phenomenal. The only dish I would advise against getting is the grilled octopus. It was so salty that I was taken aback. I normally love my dishes with a dash more of salt, but this had me reaching for the water almost instantaneously. The drink menu is great with wine, cocktails, and beers. The atmosphere is lovely with the most wondrous decorations.

We had lunch and it was a nice experience. The food from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. We had Camilo as a waiter who was very attentive and friendly, he helped us with all our questions. We are definitely going to return with my family and apparently I have already written it down as one of my favorite places.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday at Jora and the experience was outstanding from the very beginning. I made a last-minute reservation for a large group of 15 people, and even so, the manager Raúl was extremely kind, attentive, and professional. He handled everything through emails and phone calls, and thanks to him, we were all seated together at one large table, which was truly amazing. The food was delicious, the cocktails excellent, and the desserts outstanding. The service was top-notch: our waiter was always attentive and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. A very special thanks to Raúl for his dedication and hospitality, and also to our waiter for his patience and kindness. We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this restaurant 100%.

We had a delightful Sunday lunch at this restaurant. We ordered almost everything on the entrée menu, and it was absolutely delicious. The portions could have been a bit larger, but overall, it was a perfect spot for a group gathering.

I paid $8 total for both the dumplings and the peanut noodles. I waited no more than 5 minutes to get my order — the service is very efficient. The noodles are definitely worth it, and the portion is filling. The dumplings are delicious, and so is their sauce. There’s no table service and the restaurant is crowded, but once you taste the food, you understand why. I’ll definitely be back!

I don’t know where else you can find $5 dumplings plate that tasted good and served on the spot ! The chives and shrimp ones are yummy. We ordered 3 different types. The fried ones tasted the best. The chicken ones are so so. All good value. It was a mistake trying the beef tribe noodles - couldn’t eat it. The minced beef in the noodles soup also not to my liking. I’m a big fan of fish balls but fuzhou fishball has a gluey texture that I do not like. I also don’t care for the filling or flavor. The lines are long (between 6-8pm). It’s like the happening place for pre party and college kids, tourists etc it’s cheap. Portions are surprisingly decent. Cash only. ATM machine right there if you need cash.

This definitely is a go-to for the quintessential Chinese dumpling in Chinatown. Lots of food for $5.00-$6.00, fresh, the original fast food! We ordered noodles in peanut sauce, won ton soup, and of course , dumplings, each order with a healthy supply of dumplings: 🥟pork chive dumplings (fried), vegetable dumplings (steamed) and shrimp, chive and egg (steamed) dumplings. Altogether with tax -$32.00! This isn’t your gourmet, fancy dumpling place - this is your nice portions size of decent dumplings on a budget place. The won ton soup and peanut butter noodles were okay too and as much as we enjoyed the shrimp, chive and egg dumplings - we deconstructed to confirm - no shrimps were actually used in the dumplings - so, truthfully, the chive and egg dumplings were delicious! 😋

Very good price/quality ratio! I tried the pork dumplings, which were really juicy and they came with this delicious sauce. The service is also really quick. I think the food was done like 2 minutes after I ordered or sum. It isn´t the coziest place where you sit down and enjoy your food, but it´s fine for a quick bite.

Cash only! I tried the peanut butter noodles and fried pork dumplings with only $8.25 —both were great deals and super satisfying. The noodles were springy with a light, savory peanut sauce, simple but filling. The dumplings stole the show: crispy bottoms, juicy pork inside, and perfect with vinegar soy sauce. No-frills, hearty flavors, and unbeatable prices make this spot a go-to for quick, comforting eats. Me Asian approved!

I came here on a Tuesday night, just stumbling into it, and it was hard to find a seat, that’s how I knew it was going to be good. I ate the wheat noodles with peanut butter sauce and tried some of my friend’s steamed vegetable dumplings. Both exceeded my expectations. The food looks delicious because it is. I spent a total of $4.50 on the noodles and a bottle of water. This place is cash only so come prepared. Great and quick counter service. The atmosphere is not very cozy or inviting but when the food is as good and affordable as it is here it doesn’t matter. Counting down the days I’ll get to go again. Highly recommend in general and for a quick and tasty meal.

I was recommended to stop by to experience some authentic Chinatown experience. It’s amazing how they can maintain the price. Obviously, this restaurant isn’t going to offer cream of crop Chinese cuisine experience. However, I was impressed by the quality of the food given the price. To be clear, the quality of the food is going to resemble that of a food truck. But there’s no other place that beats their price.

This restaurant offers an authentic Texas BBQ style experience with a great selection of drinks. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a spacious backyard area that can accommodate large groups. There are TVs available for watching games, making it a perfect spot for gatherings and celebrations. The food is delicious — everything we ordered was excellent. I visited on a Thursday, and the service was outstanding. A lovely Bangladeshi auntie took great care of all the customers, making the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is that the location is a bit out of the way, so it’s more convenient for those who have a car. Overall, it’s a fantastic place and definitely worth a visit!

I’ve eaten at John Brown’s several times. I’ve always really enjoyed their food. Food tastes great, big portions, tasty sides and their Mac and Cheese is amazing. Nice ice cold beers as well. You’ll love this little gem of a place.

The good: Ribs, burnt ends and collard greens. Also the place has really nice outdoor seating. The bad: brisket (it was dry), bread and beans. The ugly: Cornbread - steer clear if you don’t like the taste of canned/cream corn. Otherwise very moist (almost soggy though).

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. The Chiefs vs Raider’s football 🏈 game was on all the televisions 📺. Everyone was dressed in KC Jerseys. It felt like we were in Missouri not Astoria Queens. Food is good. Nice staff. The lady working the outside patio was very friendly. On the expensive side so bring your Credit Cards 💳. Give this place a try if you’re in the area. We will definitely be going back.

A relaxed Kansas style BBQ spot with backyard dining area. Got a bit of everything to share including ribs, briskets, patrami, burnt ends and a bunch of sides. The choice of sauces pleased different pallates. After ordering, food was brought out relatively quickly. Great experience, waa first time trying American BBQ for one of the party.

I have normally been a prime rib gal, but I think I'm gravitating now towards their pastrami and burn ends! Great time to go on the weekends right before it right at 5P, fresh cuts and slow crowd. Wonderful service by "Ma" and the team. Always feels like home when coming here.

As someone from KC, a few thoughts: 1. Burnt Ends were delish! A MUST have. Staple. Absolutely banger. If you’re ordering only 1 thing, get this 2. Cornbread is a bit too moist. It’s basically corncake. Could be up to your taste, but i think cornbread should be a hit structured and have a solid crust 3. Pit beans, i appreciate the burnt ends in the beans, but something felt off about the texture. Other pictures show a better version of the pit beans, so I’ll have to come back and try again and update 4. Huge on the white bread side. Very very Kansas City. 5. MAC AND CHEESE - primo. Beautiful. Must get. Otherwise - staff were nice. Prices for portions were all reasonable. sauces were solid. Definitely will come back

Great food court! If you get there at the right time you can find seating for sure. Enjoyed the various vendors and loved that the place felt a bit more upscale than one would imagine for a food hall. Thoughtfully designed and decorated. I'm excited to try all the different vendors at some point. This time around we opted for Nikko sushi which had quite an assortment of boxes and combination of sushi. We went with a combination of spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy crab, and yellowtail and jalapeno. The sushi was good! And a good price for ~$20 for 16 pieces. I've seen pictures of the quesadillas from Mexoco that look delicious as well - have to try that next! Worth a visit if you're in the downtown LIC area

A comfortable food court with wide variety of choices from Thai to Pizza and a bar. We opted for Le Thai, a Thai restaurant, and were not disappointed. The cashier was so friendly and makes great recommendation. The food was delicious and filling. A good stop for hearty meal!

Really cool environment, very casual place to eat and hang out and get some drinks. Chicken tortilla soup from Méxology, curry puffs from Le Thai, and the Fellini Bruschetta from Alidoro are great for starters' nice small portions.

It's spacious, has a nice vibe, and offers plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to relax. There's loud music and alcohol, NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. However, the current food stalls are just okay, and there's a clear need for more variety and higher quality options. Given the large Asian communities nearby, expanding the selection to include more diverse Asian cuisines would be a huge improvement.

This place I’ll tell ya. You walk in and someone at the door is waiting to see if you have any thing in your hands or they’re just scoping you out to see what exactly you are doing in this food hall. It’s quiet the turn off. I get it, they don’t want anybody just walking in there but still. If you order something and are waiting for it to be ready let me eat my food or sip a drink from somewhere I already bought while waiting. What is this? I’m done. Never going back. Negative stars if I could.

This was one of my favorite stops on our trip to New York. There was something for everyone and the atmosphere was great-plenty of seating, great decor, and friendly service. We enjoyed a variety of meals from several of the restaurants. The pizza wasn’t New York-style but it was delicious! Friendly tip-save your receipt! You’ll need a code from the bottom to access the restrooms downstairs.

Great spot with lots of seating! Loved the atmosphere. There's a decent selection of spots to get food from; the only thing they're missing is a dessert/coffee/tea type of vendor. I ordered from Mexology and the food was mediocre for the most part but the guacamole was delicious. I ordered a margarita from the bar and it was just okay.

We decided to try Scarr’s based on its high Google rating and reputation as a cult favorite for NY-style slices. We each got a slice of pepperoni pizza. While the dough was decent and toppings were fine, the slice had dried out a bit during reheating—an unfortunate detail that can really affect pizza texture. The price also felt a bit high considering the overall experience. Not terrible, but not the slice of dreams either. In a city filled with outstanding pizza, this one lands squarely in the middle.

This pizza was pretty excellent, and the classic embodiment of what you think of as a 'New York slice' I got the beef pepperoni as my NY-style slice, and the mushroom as the Sicilian-style slice here They were both very good, but I'll start with the NY slice first What was the most noticeable here was how good the crust was. It was very cracker-like, maybe the most cooked undercarriage I've seen on pizza, without being burnt. It perfectly exemplifies the term "well-charred". I thought I preferred softer crusts to harder ones, but after having had this slice, it's definitely the opposite for me - once I realized how good a crust like this could be. Aside from the crust, the rest of this slice was also fantastic. The blend of cheese and sauce on the top tastes great, especially those bits where you see the browned cheese on top. The pepperoni was also super consistent; basically every piece was able to curl up into a cup on top The Sicilian style pizza was also nice. The dough was way more airy and softer here, but it worked as a different type of pizza. The part that I liked slightly less was that it was a bit sloppy as not all the toppings stayed on throughout, and I preferred the level of cook in the other slice, but the softer taste was a nice change of pace. For the price, each slice cost me around $5, which is not *super* cheap, but when you consider that these are a) meat/special slices and b) quite large, I will take that deal Overall, if people ask me where to find a great New York-style slice, this will be the first place I point to. 9/10

Scarr’s is a solid spot for a legit NY pizza experience! The back seating area makes it feel like a proper sit-down meal, and the bar’s a chill vibe—perfect for sipping a 🍺 beer and grabbing a slice. The classic NY cheese slice was good, but the Sicilian square stole the show with its crispy, flavorful crust. The Hot Boi brought some 🔥 spice with hot honey that hit just right, and the pepperoni had those perfect crispy, cupped edges. The sauce is savory, not too heavy, and the dough’s crisp, though I’d love a touch more salt. Service was fast, and the bartender was super friendly. Plenty of seating and clean restrooms make it stand out. It’s not my top NYC slice, but I’d swing by again for the vibe and that Sicilian! 🍕

I came for a quick bite for lunch. I sat at the bar and ordered a slice of the mushroom pizza. I enjoyed the thicker crust and flavor of the sauce. The pizza shop is quaint and has a good atmosphere. The service is always quick and they are nice. I would recommend stopping there for a slice of pizza. Also, the prices are reasonable.

I had Scarr’s Hotboi pizza, featuring beef pepperoni, jalapeño, and hot honey, which was truly an experience! The right thing mount of spice and the right amount of sweetness from the honey. The dough was thin and crusty. Loved it! (It’s also Yungblud’s favorite Pizza spot in NYC!)

Got a Margherita slice and a plain. Chill dude at the counter. Got music on, he was just vibing. There’s inside seating but I got mine to go. The Margherita slice had flavor. Was good yet my only complaint is how floppy the pizza was. Couldn’t really eat it like a normal pizza slice. Could make the dough more crispy. $12 for 2 slices

Had the Hot Boy Special - Jalapeño, Pepperoni, and Hot Honey. Awesome pizza, Hot, cooked just enough, and the combination of toppings was excellent - plenty of heat, but nothing overpowering. Also, had a perfect Negroni, and there house wines are pretty good. Only drawback (for me) was that there was loud Rap playing throughout the Dining Area and conversation was difficult.

I live in Canada, on my NYC trip this is the first Chinese restaurant I tried the food; my mind just blown away by how delicious the food was. We ordered lamb dumplings and lamb noodles; it was so good that we ordered dumplings again. Without thinking anything you can just order the lamb noodles; it’s spicy, exactly the way I like it. I think I will make a NYC trip just to have food in here. Simply awesome. Just loved it.

The restaurant is very clean and well-kept. Service was friendly, and the food came out really fast – great if you’re short on time. Most importantly, the taste was excellent: fresh, authentic, and flavorful. The dumplings and noodles had just the right amount of spice and were full of flavor. A perfect spot for a quick and delicious stop in Chinatown – I’ll definitely come back!

Wow this was interesting! Came here because of the amazing pictures on Google. We both got the pulled noodles and shared soup dumplings. A little bit pricey for Chinatown ($22 for a noodle dish and dumplings) but it came quick and portions were massive. Tables were really tall so tough to eat for short people. Dumplings were good but not very soupy. Noodles were delicious with a great texture. Mine wasn't spicy enough but my friends definitely was. Very messy so def don't wear a white shirt, lol! I really liked this but definitely was an intense meal.

I got the spicy oil noodles and the hibiscus drink. Both so good. The noodle sauce has a slight acidity that enhances the flavor. The noodle is cooked to a good texture which is a good kinda chewiness but not too hard (also not too soft which is the beauty of pulled noodle). The drink is nice and cold, not too sweet; perfect pair for the slightly spicy noodles. The place is clean and air conditioned with plenty of seats. Also liked the self order kiosk which makes the line go faster. In general a good experience and will come back.

I have walked in here many times ... looked at the menu... but was always too full to try it. But I always looked at the menu even before visiting NY and added to all my lists so I remembered to make it my first stop (after Mamoun's) upon arriving in NY. During this visit to NY, we came here TWICE (Yea, it was that good!!!) and ordered the following: [N1] Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles - insanely delicious, we ordered in the spiciest option, but it really wasn't too spicy but still perfect. We ended up going back the next day to order this again. Definitely and highly recommend. [N2] Spicy & Tingly Beef Muscle Hand-Ripped Noodles - we ordered in the spiciest option; the proportion of protein to noodles was a little off. [F4] Spicy & Sour Lamb Dumplings (7) - this was definitely a different taste, the lamb was a little tough compared to the lamb with the noodles. It did share the same "tingly" taste as the Beef muscle hand-pulled noodles. They have self-service kiosks available, which is super helpful if it gets crowded. Instead of a basic menu, they have digital images of the dish, the name and the price. I remember once upon a time, they had printed pictures...but either way it is all helpful to see what we are getting. The prices definitely increased and average about $14/dish. They accept both cash and card, even google pay (maybe also apple pay). There is plenty of seating available, unless it gets very crowded. At first I wasn't thrilled about the disposable plates, but in the end, it's much easier since people are tossing their own garbage and leaving trays at the entrance. There is a bathroom available, the code is provided at the counter. Would I return? Definitely without a doubt!!

Xi’an Famous Foods Chinatown, NYC 🥢 Cold Skin Noodles (涼皮) We found the classic 涼皮 really comforting and something you’d definitely want to come back for. It was tossed in a chili oil–based sauce, nothing fancy but flavorful and satisfying. 🥟Spinach Dumplings They were on the lighter side, which balances out the 涼皮. The filling was a little dry on their own, but adding chili oil helped balanced it out. Would’ve loved the option to mix dumpling flavors (half spinach, half lamb) though! Atmosphere: The restaurant was generally comfortable to dine in. However, many of the tables had smudges or leftover sauces, which made the space feel a bit less clean than expected. Overall, this is a place I’d definitely go back to again! Would’ve loved to try out the other dishes as well, which I’m sure would taste great!

Clean and lots of space to sit - order on the kiosk or at the front. Delicious and spicy is great. To-go orders you can keep the sauce on the side, which is nice.

For around $26, we got a large bowl of sauerkraut fish and two bowls of rice, which were brought to us by a little robot. The bowl was large enough for two people, so the price was very good for the portion. They also have a whole menu for bubble tea, so you can enjoy some with your meal. I got one in case the food was too spicy, but it wasn’t really spicy even at the highest level, especially compared to other similar restaurants in the city. Overall we had a cheap and enjoyable meal that I would be down to return to for casual eats.

I’ve been to a similar fish soup place in flushing before and was excited to try nai brother as it was closer to home. The food was addicting and savory. The lamb stew is a must! The meat was so tender and really soaked up the broth. The fish soup also had a nice spicy soury flavor to it and was what I was expecting.

Despite often passing by and noticing a consistent crowd of noticeably Asian customers, I never felt compelled to dine in. However, a friend's strong recommendation finally led me there, and I am so glad it did; it has since become my go to spot for both dining in and takeout. Upon walking in, you first encounter a somewhat odd bubble tea and grab and go station. However, once you enter the seating area, you discover a spacious, light filled dining space. Its high ceiling and large windows create a very expansive feel. Despite my personal aversion to direct sun, I found its bright atmosphere quite charming. Regarding the food, I have tried several soups: the Signature Sauerkraut, which I liked; the Green Pepper Sauerkraut, which was less memorable; the Sunshine Tomato, which I found too tomato-ey; and the Chili Boil, which offers a great mala kick. While some soups were not standouts, they were all perfectly fine, a matter of personal preference rather than complaint. All of them worked well with fish, though for the Chili Boil, I sometimes add beef along with a side of bean noodles. I have not yet tried the Cold Dishes, which are next on my list. Given the spiciness of many dishes, their bubble station made perfect sense as a cooling dessert. The servers and waiters have consistently been great. Like many authentic Asian restaurants, they avoid the "fake smile" approach, being direct yet efficient in their work. I appreciated their work ethic and professional, no nonsense attitude. The serving robot going around was also a cool touch (see video). A large size, in my experience, could comfortably feed two men or three women, though naturally, portion needs vary. I am always surprised at how affordable the total comes out to. I have not been to the bathroom as I am scared to see it, especially with the spicy foods and bubble tea that are offered here. I will absolutely come back, highly recommend this place, and wish it maintains its success.

Love the comfort food at Nai Brother LIC. The fish sauerkraut soup is tasty and spicy. This location has nice high ceiling. And the food is delivered using a robot. Great food and service.

Chili boil snakehead fish + added bok choy, enoki mushroom. The server could not understand English very well. Thankfully I visited with a Chinese friend who asked questions and ordered for me. The food was okay (the taste was actually good, but there wasn’t a lot of fish inside), but I had some stomach issues while eating half of the food. I usually enjoy and tolerate spicy food pretty well, so it’s probably not because it was too spicy. After reading some of the other reviews, I’m thinking there could be some other issues with the food.

This place is so good! I haven't had these exact dishes before but have had similar and found this place to be delicious. We ordered the cold beef/ox tongue appetizer and a large signature stew with fish and it was more than enough to share between 3 people. There is amazing flavor depth and the food is fresh and tastes so good with rice. Also they have one of those cute delivery robots. Will definitely come back.

I have been wanting to try this place for years and I finally made it. We just happened to come on a Thursday which is the only day they offer a happy hour special. Well worth it waiting till Thursday if you just want to check it out have a few items and enjoy the historic location. We have oysters clams and new England clam chowder. The soup was really good just the perfect balance of clams, taste and thickness of the soup. Calamari was also fresh, tender and included a nice red sauce for dipping. And of course the little neck clams and bluepoint oysters were amazing especially at $1.25 and $1.55/ea respectively. If you want the happy hour special you have to eat at the saloon bar in the back or the lounge area. Probably have to ask for the happy hour menu as they do not tell or offer it to you by choice.

Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant This place is a true New York classic. You can feel the history as soon as you walk in. The raw oysters here are incredible, so fresh and full of flavor. The Oysters Rockefeller are rich and delicious, and the New England clam chowder is everything you want it to be, creamy, comforting, and loaded with clams. My server Mary was that girl. Fast, friendly, and really knows her stuff. She took the time to explain the different oysters and helped me pick exactly what I’d like best. You can tell she cares about giving you a great experience. If you’re in Grand Central and craving amazing seafood, this is the spot.

Glad that we can have this restaurant just right next to the hotel we are staying at. Food quality is good and match its price. Service is excellent. They have a wide variety of raw oyster choices and they are very knowledgeable and willing to answer your questions before taking your order. Vibe is warm and casual.

My wife and I had oysters, recommended by the waiter, clam chowder and red snapper with rice. The oysters were excellent and so good. They seemed little smaller than I expected but oh boy they are good. “White” clam chowder was another beauty!! The red snapper was super. The service was excellent.

Can’t believe I lived in New York for almost my whole life went never went here, I surely missed out. We have a lot of similar places in Vegas but for this one feels a little different in a good way. The location is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and the the staff were all extremely attentive. I absolute loved my fried oyster po boy, and the squid risotto (which i forgot to photo) was just the right texture and that a dish you can mess up the texture in all sorts of ways 🤣. I would go back if I were in New York especially for the lunch specials. It’s not the most amazing seafood place but it’s extremely solid with fresh ingredients, and the ambience really pushes it over the edge, I have to give it 5 stars.

I’ve been coming here for decades. But sadly, the oyster pan toasted stew has now maybe 6 oysters and tons of soggy bread in it, whereas years ago there were many more oysters and not sure there was any bread added into the stew. Still tastes amazing though. I wish they had half portions. It’s very filling because of the cream.

Dining here was a lovely experience. 💗 The menu could get a bit overwhelming due to the number of options, so it might be best to stick with their bestsellers. The oysters and other seafood were fresh.

This is a small restaurant, not the push-cart style. We chose this shop because we wanted to eat in. But honestly I think the push-cart Halal Guys taste much better with the lil charred taste and smells better. Will defo try the other pushcart stores next time! Staff was very accomodating and friendly. Queued to order - choose your veg, meat and if you’d like I ordered the small size chicken over rice with their signature white sauce (lots of it, it’s a must!!). They are famous for their spicy sauce, according to them it is extremely spicy, so add carefully! The shop has about 8 seats available and were easily filled up. Luckily for us, someone left just when we finish ordering.

My husband and I enjoy both love the falafel and chicken plates. They are quite the treats...though we enjoy them without the rice. BLESSINGS 💌🌟

There are probably a thousand halal carts in NYC and I can promise you that 90% of them serve better food in terms of taste, value and number of calories. This place is over hyped. The rice is meh, the meat is meh and the sauces lack flavor. The hot sauce is too hot, without flavor or taste. The barbecue sauce doesn’t suit the food and the white sauce, well the white sauce is incredibly high in calorie count! Kind of defeats the purpose if one is trying to eat a somewhat healthy gluten free meal with grilled meats, rice and salad! And they nickel and dime you. Want olives? 60c. Want jalapeños? 60c. Want hummus? $1.50. Total - $18 and change. The combo tray that almost every cart guy offers in Times Square is $12 and has better taste and is better value for money.

We went to Gray's Papaya for lunch as a party of four. The line was short, so we were served quickly. We each ordered two hot dogs and a drink. The standard toppings like ketchup, mustard, relish, kraut and onions are free. You can add other toppings as well for a reasonable price. I went with ketchup on one and sauerkraut and mustard on the other. The kraut and mustard was my favorite! I love the combination of the soft bun, the roasted sausage and the tasty toppings. I also tried their famous Papaya drink, which has a unique fruity flavor and a somehow creamy texture. Beyond the food, you can really feel the history and tradition of this classic NYC eatery.

Simply… Delicious! You are in New York, you need to get a slice and a dog. Well, Gray’s papaya is the place for the hotdog! Five dollars for a hotdog and a large tropical style drink? Hands-down no-brainer! I ended up getting two of the No.3 specials; 3 hotdogs and a large drink for $11. This place proves my theory, ‘Filipino people are just amazing!’🇵🇭 You can get them plain, with ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut, and they’re sweet onions for free, or pay to have other condiments added. But I must say, been in New York a couple times, but this was the first time I hit Gray’s. Coming all the way from Vancouver British Columbia (for work), and I must tell you, hands-down, amazing, hot dog! You will not regret it! It’s a little small joint on the corner, a good little in and out style restaurant. The food was great! Hotdogs were very tasty and an incredible value! Three dogs and a 32oz drink for $11.50 can't be beat. Especially since they aren't cheap dogs. And that price includes getting it with the works! Ketchup, Mustard, Onions, Sour Kraut, and Relish. The drinks taste super fresh and were great as well. Highly recommend!

Finally made it to the original Gray’s Papaya on Broadway! The hot dog was delicious — perfectly grilled with that classic snap. Several options for toppings... relish, sauerkraut ,mustard, onions. A true NYC must-try spot.

Good cheap foods! We got a hotdog and a papaya drink. The hot dog was decent, especially for the price. They had lots of free toppings. Chili, cheese, and mayo toppings cost extra. We also tried the papaya drink but it was a bit sweet.

undoubtedly one of the cheap eats kings in new york. solid hotdog for only $3.25 with all the classic toppings available for free (ketchup, mustard, onions, sauerkraut, relish) or the more "premium" toppings avilable for 75 cents (cheese, chilli, mayo). the free toppings are more than good enough but the chilli cheese dog is actually pretty decent. the juices are all tasty and pretty sweet, but surprisingly thick.

These hot dogs are addictive! I enjoy them with a papaya drink delicious. It's unfortunate the prices are way too high .we understand inflation but this is ridiculous. And you could understand if you walk in and have a seat with a restroom ! But instead you stand up by the sometimes filthy counter and eat these expensive hot dogs . This business is an institution ny all the way so why not have some specials ? I don't believe I'm saying this but I remember when these dogs were 50 cents. I was a foot messenger and would fill up on one or two but now even with more to spend I'm a lot more conscious of finances and worth .

Drank at the tap room. I remember a time when the tap room only had beer. I am so pleased to know they have cocktails and food available now. This place has always been impeccable. I’ve been here a handful of times and never left disappointed. I can’t remember the names of the drinks but they had a cocktail that had Guinness and it really was a standout, as well as the Irish coffee Alexander, and I don’t even like coffee 🤣. Don’t sleep on the Scotch eggs either. Best ones I’ve had! This one really upsets me that we don’t have something similar in Vegas. I mean we have bars but this one just has something about it 😁

The Irish coffee is a must-try, you won’t be disappointed. The Old Fashioned was good, though a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. The fried chicken was just okay, nothing particularly special. The tiramisu was one of the best I’ve had. We sat in the Parlour, which had great vibes and good service, making for a pleasant overall experience. We did not have a reservation for parlor, but still managed to get a table on a Sunday.

What a wonderful Saturday brunch treat in this classic yet modern Irish pub. The decor is really cool along with signed dollar bills and photos around the walls and ceiling, Irish frozen coffee machine, etc. Their cocktails are delicious and eye pleasing. Their authentic Irish fares and drinks were absolutely a delight. We had the Irish Breakfast, oysters, fried boneless chicken, ham and cheese toasties and chips, Irish frozen coffee and a perfectly pourer pint of Guinness. We also went to Dead Rabbit at night before and they had really great Irish music as well 🥰

Great Irish vibe, definitely reminiscent of being in Ireland. The service was great, everyone was very friendly. The Irish coffee was sublime and the Guinness pour and temperature was spot on, honestly can’t think of a better Guinness I’ve had outside of Ireland. I grabbed the short rib sliders to snack on and they were very flavorful and fork tender. They also have a phenomenal Irish whisky selection.

Yesterday, we visited The Dead Rabbit with all of our wedding guests. Instead of kindly asking us not to take photos inside the venue (as we had brought a professional photographer to capture memories of our wedding and the guests who traveled from different countries), the manager was extremely rude. When he heard us speaking Spanish, he began speaking to us in a very disrespectful way and even yelled at our photographer. We were a group of 10 people planning to stay for a long time, ordering cocktails and food. Instead, we had to ask for the check and leave because every time this manager approached us, he made it a point to make us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. In the end, we still paid a bill of more than $500, but we would never recommend visiting this place if that man is working there. On the other hand, all of the waiters and the bartender had an excellent attitude and did their best to make up for the problem caused by the manager. I ended up confronting him because I personally believe it was unfair that on such a special day like my wedding, we were treated so poorly and had our visit ruined at a bar we had been looking forward to for days. It is also important to add that our group included elderly people over 70 years old who do not speak English and who felt discriminated against and mistreated by this manager. I truly hope the company takes action and provides this individual with proper customer service training. We were behaving respectfully, and our intention was simply to enjoy the cocktails your bar is famous for, share that experience with our international guests, and have a good time. Unfortunately, this manager completely ruined what should have been a joyful experience. In the last photo, the manager was arguing with my brother-in-law, and that was the moment we decided to leave that place as soon as possible.

My husband and I stopped by for a quick beer after an amazing dinner next door. The space is so cool! I love the sawdust on the floor and the whole vibe was fun! We did not have food or visit the restroom so my review is based on service and the beer! I would recommend! 🍻

I went with a group of friends and we really enjoyed their cocktails. The place has a very unique and eye-catching décor, which adds to the whole experience. It was a great spot to hang out and spend some time together.

I will say it again if it's this popular it cannot be that good. Go here with someone who has never had Ukrainian food before and they will love it, very good intro to Ukrainian food for newbie. the meats should have had more flavor. Sauerkraut was lacking fermentation taste. I enjoyed the borscht and the mushroom sauce.

Veselka had a nice vibe with a lot of energy. It was busy but not stressful. The pierogi were the highlight, soft and full of flavor. The borscht was also very good, fresh and comforting. The schnitzel was fine, and the potato pancake was really good, crispy outside and soft inside. I didn’t care much for the beef stroganoff, it felt too heavy and not very flavorful. The service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly. Overall, it’s a lively spot with good food and a few dishes worth coming back for.

I loved and still love Veselka after all of the years. The borscht always hits. I wish they used better Ukrainian bread and not American bread. The dumplings are always yummy and tender. Latkes or potato pancakes are so fluffy - one of the best ones I have ever had even in comparison with my grandmas and that says a lot. Today I tried beef Stroganoff for the first time and I was disappointed but wasn't fully satisfied. I like everything except the meat because of how not tender it was. Medovyk is always to die for!!!

Normally I will get something more authentic, and it's always really, really good. Today I wanted to get the burger, which I was very skeptical of, but it was fantastic. The meat was cooked perfectly, the bun was very soft, abs the Ukrainian dressing added a very unique flavor. Fantastic.

Great place for some authentic Ukrainian food! They had a spicy chicken entree and the waiter warned me 3 times that it trusty is incredibly spicy and boy was she right! I do wish that the blueberry vareniki weren’t seasonal they are absolutely amazing. But great place for some Ukrainian cuisine.

We came across this diner as we were exploring our new local area. We are visiting from Australia. The atmosphere was great, a genuine New York Diner, serving since 1946. The food was excellent - I had the Greek omelette (feta, tomato) and my friend had the Eggs Benedict. We were very happy with our choices. included were a tea, bottomless coffee and a juice for $50USD. The service was good, all the staff were friendly. Highly recommended.

A LIC staple, this diner is open 24/7 and has been a consistent go to spot for my friends and I after a long night out. The interior has lots of seating, with both booth and table seating, and bright lights. The service here is fairly quick and staff are nice. When my friend and I went, we got some wings and two sandwiches. The wings were pretty solid and came with a bleu cheese sauce. The sandwiches were also great (considering it was 4am). Both dishes came with fries, which I thought were alright (but I'm not the biggest fry person). Overall, decent and reliable spot for some good American diner food.

Amazing breakfast!!! The toasts were amazing!!! Perfect sweet, crispy on the ouside, soft and fluffy on the inside, warm and on top wirh icing. Eggs were also good. How perfect to start the day!! The atmosphere was nice and cozy. We got good service too. They also have all the condiments on the table for you.

Great vibes me and my wife we bought the calamari as Appetizer And then we had a triple-decker turkey sandwich that was good as well, but should’ve bought something else but I love the experience a very great time. We went there at 12 o’clock at night. Definitely coming back with me and my wife. Definitely enjoyed it. Five stars for me.

Came for a 4 am bite to eat after an evening out. The place had a significant amount of people dining after a lively Friday. We were able to get a booth within a couple of minutes. We ordered a chicken noodle soup, waffle, chicken triple decker with curly fries and a cup of coffee. Everything was great. It was what was needed to get some energy to head home. Glad we still can count on the court diner for 24hr food options.

In from Florida. Stopped for a quick bite. Excellent service, and food was good. Had the charbroiled chopped steak. My wife had chicken parmesean with spaghetti. We both enjoyed it. Isivro and Brenda were busy but took excellent care of us. We will return next time we are in NY.

The diner has a super chill vibe, great customer service, and the food comes out fast. I've been here for breakfast and even stopped by late at night for a chocolate shake, always hits the spot. Plus, it’s a true 24/7 spot, which is rare and appreciated.

Absolute Bagels is one of those places where you can get a true New York bagel. There are many bagel and spread options to choose from, both sweet and savory. I opted for the egg bagel with sun dried tomato spread. The bagel itself was dodgy and sweet, just like it should be and the spread was subtle. Cash only and there could be a line (like many places in New York), but the wait was minimal. All in all, solid bagels and spread.

Customer keeps coming, despite that it is fast moving queue. Generous amount, egg is so fluffy and nice like pudding! I appreciate it. Bagel is fresh and nice too! They only accept cash so do note that. Thankful the cashier is patient with me ordering for the first time as well. Good experience! No dine in.

It was my first time visiting New York, and I’m really grateful my friend brought me to such a fantastic spot for my first meal in the city. The bustling crowd is a clear indication of how popular it is! The bagel I had was absolutely delicious, and the service was wonderful. I'm definitely eager to try all their bagels next time I’m in the city!

We had heard that Absolute Bagels has the best bagels in NYC and went there to see. It’s a small place and thankfully the line was just to the door and these guys are quick. I went for the everything bagel (not toasted) with olive cream cheese and coffee. The cashier I think was the owner and he was very friendly and helpful. We went outside to the nearby Strauss park to enjoy. The bagel was certainly as good as I have ever in the NY style (I prefer Montreal bagels). Nice crispy outside and beautiful texture inside and not nearly as heavy as Ess a Bagel. The flavors blended well together. I was also surprised that the coffee was very good. All in all and excellent bagel experience that fueled our ensuing Central Park walk.

The best bagel place in NYC for me. Perfect size of bagel with a generous amount of cream cheese. Their egg bagel is like no other, my top picked cream cheeses are Jalapenõ, blueberry, Olive pimentos and chive Garlic!

The bagel itself was good; it’s crunchy outside, and it’s so soft inside, but I think this place is a little overhyped. I feel like I can get the same or similar qualities to the bagel that I bought in other bagel shops. I was waiting around 30 minutes in line, and I feel it's not worth the wait that long, but at least now I know how it tastes. If you’ve never been here before my suggestion is to come here on the weekdays and not the weekends because the weekends tend to be crowded. I got the Nova (smoked salmon) with garlic and chive cream cheese, with lettuce tomato, and onion. We also bought 4 everything bagels to go. It costs me a lot for the Nova (smoked salmon). No tables to eat inside, you can only buy there and eat it outside. CASH ONLY. The servers were really nice and friendly.

Pretty great bagels here. They have quite a variety. I only tried the everything bagel. They have a wide variety of fillings too. I've tried their lox spread and scallion cream cheese. Hope to try all at some point. Note that they only accept cash. Pretty affordable in 2024.

The interior was pretty crowded & hot. We were just there to sample the dogs! We ordered the all beef chili dog with chopped onions. Took 15 minutes for it but I’d say it was worth it! Crisp snap of the dog & the chili was flavorful! Sold!! We’ll be back!

Hot dog itself seems like it's deep fried so the skin is crisp while the inside stays juicy, with great pork flavor. The bun is pretty normal which seems like a waste when so much effort is put into the hot dog and toppings. Restaurant gets pretty loud and crowded with all the speakeasy customers but we were able to find a seat even on Saturday night. The hot dogs are on the smaller side so you can have one as a light meal or combine it with tater tots. Splitting two hot dogs and a side of loaded tater tots between two people is good for a full meal. Lil Ma hot dog - was intrigued by the peanut butter and it paired pretty well with the acidity of the pickles Elote hot dog - not as impressed by this one but good if you like the toppings included Nacho tater tots - reminds me of something you'd make at late night in a college dining hall and really hits the spot after a long day of walking around NYC

If you love a great hotdog, then Crif Dogs should be one of your go-to spots. I’ve been coming to the St. Mark’s shop for as long as I can remember because they have so many different options/combinations that you can get. Pretty much anything goes in term of your toppings. On this occasion I got two dogs, one tsunami and the other a chili dog. Both were good. The diced pineapple and scallions add great flavor to the tsunami dog. The chili dog was good, even though it was light on the chili and could have used some heat. Nevertheless it was still very good. Most of my visits have been in the wee hours of the night; 1-2 in the morning. On this visit it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. On the weekends during the warmer weather they set up outside on the closed street and it’s a nice environment. So chilled and comfortable. Overall, if you’re in this part of the Village and you want a quick hotdog, then it’s definitely worth going to this legendary place. Give it a try because I’m sure you’ll love it.

This is the original Crif Dogs location, opened in 2001. It’s been my favorite place to get hot dogs and tater tots for 17 years. My favorite crif dog is the Chihuahua (bacon-wrapped with sour cream and avocado). Each dog, whether it’s pork and beef (crif), all beef (New Yorker) or the Bacon-Wrapped Crifs, all have a delightful snap with each bite. You can build your own dog and even start with a veggie, if you’re a non-meat eater. The list of toppings is extensive, including things like a fried egg, potato chips, sauerkraut, hummus, cole slaw, chili, and cheese. The tots are great. Salty and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The East Village Tots have cheese and pickled jalapeños on them, which adds a wonderful creaminess and spice. They have an amazing daily special: -Every day from 2-5 and 12am-close you will get 2 build your own dogs and a soft drink, beer, or cocktail for $10, $12, or $15 respectively. They are open late (2-3am) and the telephone booth leads to a speakeasy, just pick up the phone to get on the list. They also have two table top arcade games. You have to go down a few stairs to get in.

Messy, bold, and absolutely worth it—street food with a delicious twist.

Delicious Cantonese food at very good prices. Everything I've order was very tasty and served in generous sizes. You have to try the duck and the noodles here. The place is small and doesn't have a certain vibe, just a place to sit and have great food, nothing pretencious. It feels authentic to me.

The food here feels genuinely authentic, the kind of dishes you won’t always find in more Americanized Chinese restaurants. Some flavors might be subtler than what you’re used to, but that’s part of the experience. If you’re the kind of diner who enjoys trying traditional dishes and exploring beyond the usual favorites, this is a great place to do that. They have a loooooong menu, so I would strongly recommend looking at it in advance if you can so that you know what to order when you sit down. Service is fast and efficient. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a Chinatown restaurant: a little chaotic, but always interesting.

I had the wonton beef noodle soup at Great NW Noodlestown, and it blew me away. The food was so good that I forgot I was still in the United States. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the beef was super tender, and the wontons were packed with flavor. It was so good that I had to come back again. I wish I wish I had more time to try more of their menu. They are super busy, but still have time to take care of everyone. Good price. Great and friendly service. I recommend it.

Great food! very comforting and warm! I ordered the soy sauce chicken over rice, and shrimp dumplings and noodles in soup. Everything was delicious! The service was friendly, and you can tell it’s a local favorite with many regulars. I highly recommend and will definitely return to try more dishes!

We visited the place to support the dying old China restaurant business. The overall experience was disappointing. First, the place was relatively modern and new compared to the other old establishments here. But the place was filled with unpleasant seafood odor. The food in general has its authenticity to it, but not well prepared. Shrimp shell in wontons or flour lump in wonton skins. The duck had not much meat and the chashu was way too fatty. Overall, it is an old and authentic Chinatown restaurant, but it was not a good one.

YES. This is the restaurant brought to you by the Murray's Cheese, and it is yummy! Come here for brunch, HH or dinner. It was a quiet summer HH evening and I enjoyed the clean, welcoming space both in the store and in the restaurant and bar area. Carefully crafted cocktails and friendly attentive staff, very professional and excellent service. For HH I enjoyed a Rose and then ordered off full menu for the essential grilled chela salad on the side. It was perfect! I found the wings just fine, would explore more of the menu when I come back. Also, this was an easy 20 min commute from the UES. Make a rezzy during peak hours. Enjoy!!

Everything was packed with flavor and the pasta was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

Overall I gave this place 4/5 stars because the service and atmoshphere/environment were great! I went on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the day I went the food was not great ... read below for details but overall I would recommend at at the very least I know I'm going to make another trip here to try it again perhaps try other things on the menu that are a better taste match for my taste buds & maybe a better day for the kitchen 🤷‍♀️ So the drinks were amazing! Hands down! I'd definitely go here again for drinks and the vibe. We asked for recommendations based on what we liked, and we were not disappointed!!!! Another reason for 4 🌟! Mini sliders with cheese, bacon & egg - these were disappointing 😞 neither myself nor the person I was with like these, unfortunately. Can't put our finger on it but we didn't like the taste. Murrays has amazing world renowned cheeses in their stores. I flew from Texas to try their restaurant and I was not disappointed. Everything is on point. Great food, comfortable atmosphere and great staff. Will visit again!

Ordered the truffle Mac & Cheese (their signatures! our server also suggested lobster and clam mac & cheese :)) along with mini sliders and Murray’s Melt(i loved how cheesy it was). Great for small bites for wine night!

Had a good experience eating lunch here. The portions are generous and although the menu isn’t too big, you’ll find good vegetarian options. We ordered the caprese sandwich (good for two), their cheese melt and a small mac n cheese. We also tried the tomato soup (thick and hearty) and several cheeses and the pistacchio spread (think of a Nutella but with pistachios) is delicious. The mac n cheese was creamy, al dente, and was one of the best we’ve had. Another day I had a happy hour cocktail and that was good too. Just think they are unfortunately understaffed; probably one waiter for the whole floor, so the wait times are greater and their attention span is lower. Overall, pretty good food (lots of carbs, though), friendly staff and good cheeses.

A hopping joint! We made reservations on Open Table for 6 pm for two, and that was the last available reservation until 9:45! And when people came in without reservations, they had to turn them away until after 10! So don't make that mistake! We had their signature Mac and cheese with bacon added and crispy onion pieces on top, as recommended by our Waiter. I am not overstating when I say this was by far the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had!! My daughter agreed! So creamy and cheesy with strings of cheese pulling with every bite! The nice thick bacon was cooked to perfection! It looks like a small serving when the Waiter serves it, but we couldn't finish all the rich goodness!! A not to be missed stop in the West Village if you are a cheese lover like we are!! I would definitely go back!!

Looking for brunch? Two Hands is a solid spot! It’s a cute Australian cafe with a good variety of aesthetic food and drink options. I came with a friend at Wednesday afternoon, and got seated right away! We both agreed that the breakfast burrito was phenomenal, and the hash brown with the scrambled eggs was the highlight of the meal. I also really enjoyed the banana espresso martini! Definitely come check this place out if you want a cute brunch with friends!

The experience was ok overall. The muffuletta sandwich was good but the breakfast burrito was just okay. The pancakes were dry. The service was slow and they forgot to bring the pancakes, which I had to remind them twice. They took my napkin twice and did not bring me a new one until I asked them.

Am not sure why this place is famous and requires a no show fee for reservations. The menu and food both are average, decor is decent. Our group of 5 went at 2 pm for brunch. The wait time for food was long. Mid way they mentioned the sourdough for chicken sandwich is not available. The matcha latte powder was sub par. Finally did get the sandwich with sourdough but the bread slice was too thick and filling was dry, so couldn’t really savor the flavors. A very much average spot overall. A typical Manhattan hype.

The banana bread and the mushroom soba noodle bowl are to die for (highly recommend adding salmon to the bowl). servers are so kind and it’s a beautiful space. the portions are a good size for the price. drinks are good, i got the banana bread espresso martini, but the banana smoothie was the stand out drink.

I got the banana bread latte and the banana bread french toast. The french toast was a good balance of sweetness and a little saltiness. The mascarpone was very creamy, and together with the bread had a nice texture. I did not enjoy the latte I ordered as much but I thought it was an interesting concept.

I had marked this place on my next trip to NYC since my daughter loves a good burger. We walked in without a reservation on late Saturday afternoon and as expected the place was packed. The staff was super attentive and friendly as they seated us in a quick manner. Also a big thank you for accommodating and acknowledging my daughter’s special needs. The burger absolutely lived up to the hype! Would love to stop by again.

Always great food. Excellent ingredients and delicious combos. Waited 10 minutes for a table since we didn’t have a reservation on a Sunday morning. They have a small waiting area and the staff was great while we waited. Once we ordered our food came out very quickly. This place is always a sure bet to please.

Super cheap and yummy dumpling. We visited this little late but there are still a lot of customers outside. The service was so fast we didn't even know our dumplings were done! We got 13 dumplings for $5. What a killer deal! Once person could definitely eat it all, but it was also plenty to share. Not quite sure what type of chili sauce was available to put on the dumplings but it was so good. The inside of the dumplings were a little dry for my liking, but overall the flavor was good.

Super affordable, with very efficient and friendly service. Got the small $5 for 13, quick exchange with cash for a box of dumplings. Though as a dumpling lover, I found these were only alright. The skin felt a bit too thick and not as crispy as I would've liked. Could've just been that it was already packaged in the box, so lost some of its crispy factor.

Fresh, hot, and crispy skin; but to me (as a Northern Chinese), it was too tough and thick. This is my issue with most affordable Chinatown dumpling spots. But really, what can I complain about when it's $5 for 13 pieces? The auntie asked me to show her the viral TikTok that got them busy. And she actually speaks with a Tianjin accent. Considering that in Chinatown, most—like 99.9%—of restaurants are run by southerners, despite claiming to be northern. This is gold, I'll add one star 😭

Hidden Manhattan Eats: Tim Ho Wan 📍85 4th Ave NY Tried out Tim Ho Wan 🥟✨the famous dim sum spot known as one of the most affordable Michelin-starred restaurants in the world. I went in ready for a dim sum feast and ordered their signature baked BBQ pork buns and some deep fried dumplings. The pork buns? Soft, pillowy, with this sweet crackly crust on top that threw me off at first… but the savory caramelized pork filling balanced it out. Not bad, kinda grew on me. 👌🏽 But the fried dumplings… y’all. They were sweet inside. I wasn’t ready for that at all, and honestly it ruined the vibe for me 😩. Like, are sweet dumplings a traditional thing? Or did I just order wrong? If you’ve been to Tim Ho Wan, drop your recs — what’s good here, what should I try next time? Because I’m still curious, but that dumpling situation… nah.

Overall: A huge disappointment Ambience: outdated decor, but very good for solo lunch, quite a few tables are solo diners Service: not the waiter’s fault but the cheap plastic green chopsticks are a mode killer… Food: Huge disappointment: everything screamed previously frozen. The classic chicken feet is barely cooked (the traditional dim sum chicken feet should be so soft they melts in your mouth). The coffee and milk tea is very mediocre as well. The only redeeming dish is BBQ pork bun. Honestly don’t know how this shop can make it so far in the competitive food scene of New York City. Will never come back for sure.

Why is this place so underrated? Situated in Manhattan, East Village, this place is a must go when you’re in the neighborhood. It’s probably my third visit in the last five years and everytime I come back I leave happy after having the meal there. The food is really good and don’t get me wrong - it’s not just me but also my Chinese friend who knows her cuisine. Try it for yourself. What I love the most is Baked BBQ Pork Buns, they are to die for. The service was very professional.

Solid dim sum place if you cannot make it to Chinatown. Some of their bites needed a little bit of seasoning but nothing that their chili oil and sauces couldn’t fix. I generally liked it and I’d go back. Their lychee hot tea was awesome. They were also pretty quick to serve up the dim sum.

Midday on a weekend, I was able to get in. No line or wait. It was an impulse. The service was quick, friendly and when you asked the staff what item you were receiving, they kindly explained the dish. Certain dishes were exceptional. Bao buns wow. There were items I did not enjoy but I cannot rate low due to a limited dataset associated with similar items. Recommend for sure. Try as many things as you can.

Weekday evening walked in no wait time. With the expectation of Hong Kong’s popular dim sum restaurant which I have been eating many times in Hong Kong, this first time visit of dishes is quite disappointed. Only the Steamed rice with Minced Beef is just ok, taste of Pork wonton in spicy sauce and Pan fried noodles are way below regular Chinese restaurants you can get in Chinatown. Price seems not justified with the taste and quality of food, may not visit again.

We found a worm in our vegetable (should have taken a picture but they took it away very quickly). They took the veggies off from the menu but felt reluctant. The food was mediocre. We are not going back.

My friend was craving some oysters after an early Saturday night dinner. We found Upstate and it was still pretty packed at around 8. We were able to put our names down for 9 PM for three seats at the bar. We ordered: -Oysters (Sea Kist, Wellfleet, Wave Lengths, Upstate's Own, Blue Whale) - these were all east coast oyster because the west coast ones were sold out. East coast oysters are priced at $2.85 each, which is reasonable IMO for regular pricing. There are some types of oysters that are plumper than others, so you can always ask for recommendations. All of the oysters were pretty good but I did get a few that weren't properly shucked -Little neck clams - I love a good clam, and these were nice and fresh. I might have liked them even more than the oysters -Escargot (snails slow cooked in basil and parsley butter) - this was probably one of the worst escargot I've ever eaten. It didn't really have much flavor, and the butter tasted like movie theater popcorn butter -Uni (Maine uni, quail egg, salmon roe with toast points) - this wasn't what I was expecting. It served on some sort of cauliflower puree (?), which masked the flavor of everything else. The bread also tasted a bit stale For drinks, I had the dragon stout, which reminded me of a Guinness Extra Stout. It was pretty good. They also have a nice variety of other beers on draft. If that's not your thing, they've got some wine and a few cocktails, but none of the cocktails appealed to me that night. The food menu sounds really good but if it's similar to the two dishes we ordered, I probably wouldn't try it. I would come back for more oysters/clams though!

Had a great experience at Upstate Craft Beer and Oyster Bar. The service was friendly and attentive, and the oysters were super fresh. Their happy hour deal is a steal, half a dozen oysters and a beer for just $12. The only small downside is that you have to order a beer to get the happy hour oyster pricing, but it's a fair trade-off. The calamari was also delicious, perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. Overall, a great spot with quality seafood and a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be coming back!

This place is small but cozy. I love the waiter as I felt so welcome by his passionate service. Oyster is so fresh and cheap. They have a happy hour price, so if you order oyster before 7pm. You will get a great price with the drink. We ordered 2 rounds and we just loving it!!!! Will definitly visit again for sure!!!

Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar has a welcoming vibe and great NY food & drink offerings! The staff was warm & welcoming and although it was busy we felt valued and everything moved at a comfortable pace. We felt the prices were very reasonable and liked the ability to make a reservation (which was a good call for Saturday evening). They have a great oyster selection and we started with a delicious platter. I got the seafood risotto, which was great, and my wife got the Scallop Special which really stood out and we’d definitely repeat. Their craft beer selection is a good mix of varieties and we especially loved Old Man Winter from Southern Tier Brewing Company. Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar is now on our neighborhood-favorite list, we recommend it and will certainly be back! Date visited: 3/29/25

Incredible oyster/beer Happy Hour - quality selection of rotating taps, and their crab cakes, East Coast oysters, and roadted bone marrow were all delicious. Smaller spot, so ideal for groups of 2-4.

Just went here with my mom and it was great. We got the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was sooooo good and fresh 🤤🤤. For entrees she got their clam pasta and loved it, and I got their special scallops which were super tasty!! It was a little noisy but personally I didn’t really care. Overall great service and the food was delicious!!! (They also gave us some free pound cake at the end which was nice)

If it was an option to double 5 stars, I’d certainly would. These are delicious, fresh, so full of taste oysters, and the ones they offer for happy our not an exception at all!! In fact, when I brought a skeptic friend with me and we tried other oysters too, that person marked the HH oysters as the most remarkable ones. Just as I, a veteran goer to this place, expected 🤭 Tried to have real food here several times but couldn’t get through ordering more and more oysters. Yet, somehow I managed to have surf&turf and tuna tartar here back in spring. Both were good and tasty, well above the average. Recently, had surf&turf again. There are surely more upscale meat cuts but it’s really the best you can get for this price, and they have upgraded the meal quite a bit — all made me like it more!! Want to return for crudo and tuna steak that looked amazing in its new version —based on what I saw coming from the kitchen!!

Unassuming little spot tucked near the Manhattan courthouse—like, really unassuming. But don’t let the looks fool you. This place is the real deal and supplies dumplings to half of Manhattan for a reason. We grabbed the pork & chive dumplings—crispy, hot, and packed with flavor. Doused them in soy/vinegar and a little sriracha, and wow. Just perfect. It’s ridiculously cheap, lightning fast, and right next to Columbus Park—ideal for soaking up a Saturday. It’s a really small place, but trust me—the food is amazing, and the prices are even better. We had all of this food for just $24, and we were all so full. The taste was great, and while the ambience is small, the food definitely makes up for it. The only thing I didn’t love was the dumpling dough—it was a bit too thick. It was so thick that I ended up just eating the meat with a little bit of dough and leaving the rest on the side. I personally feel like the fried dumplings have less dough than the boiled ones, so I’d probably go for those next time. Other than that, everything was really good, especially for the price.

I heard about this place on an affordable eats list and it did not disappoint. The four dumplings for two dollars deal is incredible and the dumplings are so good. I also got the pancake with pork, and it was fantastic. It has pork, chives, and cucumber. Eat it hot and fresh and you won’t be disappointed.

We had the shrimp dumplings and scallion pancakes. The dumplings were not boiled properly. The sides of it still had raw dough taste and made it super chewy. The scallion pancakes, however, tasted good but had better ones. The ambiance could be better.

Our food tour guide brought us here and it is a small eatery that we would never had visited if it wasn’t for our guide. The dumplings were delicious and we would definitely go back here again! Out of all the places we visited with our guide this was probably one of our favorites.

I went to try their dumplings, and they were delicious! I got 4 dumplings for just $2, which was a deal for me. This spot was recommended to me by my friends and it definitely did not disappoint. I ordered the chive and pork dumplings. There was no wait and I got my food really quickly. Seating was limited since the place was packed, I want on a Saturday though. Maybe other days will be more sitting.

This is one of the most famous Chinese bakeries in Manhattan’s Chinatown, and I’d heard so much about it from food vloggers that I had to try it for myself. I went with a friend on a weekend afternoon, and even though it was later in the day, the place was still packed. We waited about 10 minutes in line, but the staff kept things moving quickly, and once we ordered, our food came right away since everything is freshly baked and ready to go. The selection is huge, but we decided to stick with their signature items: the pineapple-crusted pork bun and the original pork bun. Both were delicious, but the pineapple version really stood out. It’s essentially the same soft, savory pork bun, but topped with a golden pineapple crust that adds a crunchy texture and a subtle sweetness—it feels like a deluxe upgrade of the classic. The original pork bun was flavorful and satisfying as well, filled generously with savory pork. These buns work great as a snack or can easily be shared between two people. Overall, it was a fun and tasty stop, and I’d definitely come back to try more of their offerings.

The legendary “pineapple” bbq pork bun lives up to its reputation👍Glad that we came early while there’s no line but it’s a treat that’s worth the wait. The bun has perfect crust, generous tasty juicy filling in a thin sweet bun roll. And the size is decently large. Also highly recommend the “Big” special bun. It’s basically a meal in large steam bun with tons of filling with pork, chicken, Veggies, Chinese sausage, even eggs. Very very tasty and a real low cost and quick power-up as a refill for touring NYC and Chinatown and nearby areas. We did not sit down and just inhaled the buns next to the shop and moved onto the next destination 🤣 Overall a great visit for the bun. Totally worth the trip 🥰

I was here with my buddy today and we stopped in for a quick bite. This is one of the best roast pork buns and shumai I ever had. Interestingly the fusion Chinese food I had in Peru might still be my favorite but this was great. The roast pork was tender and sweet, and the bun was nice and soft. I would have easily devoured another one but we still had other places to try. The shumai was packed with flavor and I enjoyed those just as much. They’re very busy as they should be, but the line moved fast. Within 2 minutes my order was taken and I got the food very fast. The roast pork bun was $2.50 and shumai was $6.50. The menu online shows $3 and $7.50 so the prices must have recently gone down or the menu is just wrong. I would definitely come back here and try the pineapple pork bun.

I first heard about this place through my boyfriend and his sister. She came on vacation and came back from NY with 2 bags of these delicious pork buns!!! I tell you one of the BEST flavors I’ve tried in my life! The buns are soft and fresh, and the pork is deliciously flavored! 🤤 BRING CASH!!! Because it’s faster to pay at the end; line for cards is usually slower. (If you are in a hurry that is) PS: The buns are only $2.50 each !!!!! 🫨

Great buns at affordable prices! I loved both the pineapple roast pork buns and the roast pork buns — sweet, savory, and uniquely delicious. The line is split into two (cash and card), and I waited about 10–15 minutes. Once I placed my order, the buns came out within a minute or two. The pork does have some fat, so if you prefer lean meat, this might not be for you. I’ll definitely be back to try the egg yolk bun — it’s something I can’t find anywhere else near where I live!

Rating: 4.4/5 I've been wanting to try their Pineapple Bun with Roasted Pork ($3.10) for the longest time, but there's usually a long line whenever we pass by. This time, we came on a Tuesday around 10 AM and luckily, there was no wait. We ordered through the kiosk since we paid with credit card. The estimated wait was 20-30 minutes, but our order came out in about 5 minutes. If you pay with cash, it seems you get your food even faster. The price is amazing for the value. We ate the bun right away, and it was so good! The pineapple crust had that nice textured crisp, while the inside was soft and airy. It wasn't as sweet as I expected, which I liked. The pork filling was flavorful and generously portioned. While I really enjoyed it, I wouldn't wait more than 20-30 minutes for it.

This place is always a great stop for easy and delicious lunch. It is popular though so expect a line pretty much any time but if you have cash you can often go right up to the counter. The pineapple roast pork buns are famous for a reason - nice crust on the bun and the sweet and savory flavor combo is awesome and took me back to Shanghai. But as good as those were, I tried the fried sticky rice with chicken and that blew me away with how good it was. So definitely get a pineapple bun but it’s worth trying some of their other items too! It’s a great spot!

Had a slice of Pizza at Percy's Pizza here. Now the cheapest one costs you about 4.5 dollars. The slice size is quite decent in comparison to other pizzas. Pay and orde is practiced. This is not much spacious and got only 3 small tables. Good place if you wanna have quike bite.

Been eating at this place forever. I can’t begin to describe the love I have for the style pizza they have. Light crispy crust, sweet sauce… it truly is one of a kind. Especially during the pandemic, this place felt like a home to me. Really hope they come back.❤️

I got a slice of cheese pizza and it was great. The crust was thin with a nice crisp even though it was also a bit floppy. I loved the flavors of the sauce and cheese. The ratio of sauce to cheese was spot on. This definitely makes my list of my favorite spots in Manhattan to get a slice of cheese pizza so far.

Small storefront pizza joint with very fast 💨 and delicious margherita slices. We came in here and got some slices and didn’t have to wait at all. The marinara tastes very good and not too salty. $3 for a slice of cheese pizza, so came all the way across the city for some. They didn’t disappoint. Fast service, freshly made pizza they toss in the oven immediately after you order, veggie pizza was smothered in toppings, and was all extremely good. They do need to update their online pricing.

Very good food, cute atmosphere. I am taking off a point to make aware of a dinner combo that makes no sense. $30 for Trappizini and 1/2 Pasta. The combo does not make it clear that it is a 1/2 Pasta. Ordering a Trappizini and full pasta would also be about $30 or less in some cases and you would get more food. Very bizarre decision by management. Our server was very lovely and comped our bill partially to make up for the confusion. So if you come here, don't order the combo, just order the items separately. I got the Pesto pasta and Oxtail Trappizini along with broccolini to start (very good).

I used to love Trapizzino when I lived in Italy, and I was so excited to stumble upon it here in New York! One bite instantly brought me back to Rome, the trapizzino was absolutely delicious. The service was just as great: Gabriele was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My friend and I had such a wonderful time, and we’ll definitely be back!

What a delicious meal! We started off with the arinchini which was flavorful and tasty! We then continued with the Trapizzino which was again delicious and had great texture. The cacio e Pepe was also really well done: a creamy bucatini. Highly recommend! Just note the atmosphere isn’t the best.

We celebrated our birthday here with a group of 16, and it was perfect from start to finish! 🎉 Giuseppe was amazing — he helped us schedule a table last minute and was so kind and accommodating the entire time. Truly above and beyond service. The food was phenomenal — we did the Roman Feast and everything was incredible. The risotto balls and the ragu pasta were especially delicious, and there was more than enough food for everyone. Honestly, we couldn’t even move afterwards because we were so full (in the best way)! The staff was super kind, the atmosphere was great, and it was the perfect spot before heading out to the clubs. If you’re looking for a place to host a big group for a birthday or celebration, this is absolutely the spot. 💯 We’ll definitely be back!

Started with risotto ball, it was average. Continued with ox tail sandwich, it was very flavorful. Pasta wasn’t on lunch menu, but chef obliged. Pesto was great! Ended with Espresso Martini.

The restaurant as a whole was lovely and prices were fair and cheap! The service was quick and the servers were very kind. When a mistake was made, which we didn’t mind at all, they were so quick to help and compensate by giving us a free desert. Only doc off points for the atmosphere because at night my friends and I encountered someone not too fun from the street while sitting outside. Otherwise such a lovely restaurant and experience! Will be going back %100!! Also I definitely recommend the “doppia panna” (baratta and anchovy trapizzini) as well as the “coda alla vaccinara” (the oxtail trapizzini)!!

Brewery beers are always a good idea, and this place was no exception. I loved that they offered small tasting flights, which made it easy to try a variety of different beers. It was also great that you could bring in outside food. It looked like they also have live performances at certain times, so I’d definitely love to come back and experience that next time!

A decent little brewery with a spacious taproom and plenty of outdoor seating. They have many weekly events like trivia, and also beer specials during Libertoes games. The beer is better than most in Queens, and they have guest wifi.

Good beer, great setup, fun time, and good memories. In July 2025, they had a Love & Hades Smoked Helles Lager - probably one of the best Helles Lagers I've ever had. Those smokey notes bring such a crisp finish wanting you get your next sip right away!

I visited on a Sunday night and it was empty! You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. You clean your table/tray when you are finished. I got the Nasi Lemak and it was really tasty, but the portions are pretty small. Prices are fine for the size of the dish, but I wouldn’t go here if I was super hungry. I really enjoyed the flavors in this dish- Malaysian food is new to me and this was a good introduction to the cuisine.

The nice thing about this spot is they offer up a lot of traditional Malaysian dishes and the menu has a pretty decent selection. Food wise, it’s decent. There aren’t any frills but will say their toast was good. We couldn’t get the Hainese chicken since they sold out. Drinks aren’t bad either. It’s quite an informal spot, you order up front and grab seating after. They do bring the food to you but it’s not your typical waiter service. Maybe because of the more casual nature and the crowd, the place doesn’t feel very cleanly. It can get kind of loud as well if there are larger groups. Some people do take up seating after they’re finished with their meal, so if you’re looking for a sit down spot, it’s just easier with a smaller group.

We were excited to visit because my Malaysian boyfriend wanted a bit of home. It was definitely bumping when we went for lunch on the weekend, but were lucky enough to grab a table. We were most excited for the kaya toast, and it was pretty good! The food was alright and a bit underwhelming, but the vibes were great.

Kopitiam always seemed to garner mixed reviews at best, so I kind of avoided the spot until recently, when a friend wanted to meet her new long distance beau and he picked Kopitiam to be judged, juried and (potentially) executed. I wish I could say we had a merry time, but it was a weird night. Mostly because HE was weird.....and brand new to Malaysian food, which made it just so much more painful for me (I hate playing tour guide/translator when I haven't offered to do so). But I digress. You didn't come here for my tea. You came for tea on Kopitiam. The good: - Kaya Butter Toast: Properly thick and large, with tons of delicious kaya - Nasi Lemak: Of course I've had better in the motherland, but for NYC, this hit all the right notes of coconut rice, plenty of ikan bilis, and tasty a sambal - Pan Mee with soup: Could've used more noodles, but the friedn anchovies were popping, and the broth was umami-tastic - Sambal Sauteed Water Spinach: What can I say, Asians just do veggies better. Get this when you need to see some green on your plate - Ondeh Ondeh: Hard to find and definitely worth the effort, so make sure to come early to hedge your bets. Then enjoy that sweet, sweet mochi-like texture with glorious palm sugar filling - Honeycomb Cake: Moist and decadent without being too sweet - Penang-Style Hand-Rolled Muah Chee: Made to order, but worth it if you've never experienced the glory of warm ground peanuts and sesame seeds served in chewy pieces. Mmmm, my childhood.... The Okay: - Otak Otak: Spicy grilled fish "quiche", but not quite aromatic enough and a bit dry - Malaysian Style Half Boiled Eggs: I like mine saltier - Oh Chien: Not bad, but needed way more oyster - Pandan Chicken: No pandan flavor + oversalted chicken + dry meat = I regret choosing this as a last-minute add-on All in all, I liked Kopitiam more than I expected. Can't wait to go back without having to entertain a insular white guy who can't use chopsticks just because he's boinking my friend.

This reminds me of a fast food restaurant. Order at the register. You had to order off a Q code, they didn’t have any menus. Seats are first come first serve so if you see a seat throw your jacket, bag or umbrella there to hold the seat. After you order the give you a number and someone brings you the foods. I found the food a little different from the Malaysian I’m use to and it left a little after taste in my mouth afterwards. You can get water if you ask them and take out containers if you have left over. And clean your space for the next person. Take your trash to the assigned area. I did 4 star instead of 3 because even though I found the food only ok, the Staff was nice but mainly because I wasn’t use to the type of restaurant it was an that’s more on me.

Small but cute cafe with a large variety of Malaysian dishes and desserts. Highly recommend the blue rice balls and the national dish. The pandan dessert has an interesting yet addicting taste (the coconut layer on top is salty!). The Milo French toast is very good but very sweet; you get a lot though. This has become my go-to cafe in the lower east side!

We're from Malaysia and wanted to try this place. Apparently the owner is from Penang, Nyoya descent. We'd a chat. Great guy. Food is okay and the pork jerky bun is good. Char key teow is not up to mark though. But at least I get to have a sip of our famous Kopi-O 😇 The place is a little mess with stock cartons stacking in the shop.

Hot dog with a beer, what a great combo! With a pitcher, you get four hot dogs. They have ketchup and mustard but no mayo (we may or may not have brought our own). Fyi for new folks going, you do need to ask for the hot dog even though it’s free. I imagine it’s cos they don’t want to give out hot dogs to people who won’t actually eat them. It’s also cash only (so I usually tip with each transaction for simplicity).

Rudy’s is the perfect hideout on busy 9th Avenue — a place where you can grab a reasonably priced draft pint and soak up the vibe of a classic, no-nonsense pub. Rock tunes blast from the speakers, locals fill the booths, and the atmosphere is pure New York. The cherry on top? The free grilled hot dogs they hand out to customers — a thoughtful touch when you need something solid with your beer. And they’re surprisingly delicious! Rudy’s is an institution (almost 100 years lf history and still rocking strong) Whether you live in the city or are just passing through, you can’t beat the experience of Rudy’s.

The drinks are affordable, the staff is friendly, and the free hot dogs are a fun and unique touch. It’s the perfect spot to hang out with friends, enjoy good music, and feel the real spirit of NYC nightlife. A must-visit bar if you’re looking for a genuine local experience.

I love the place, the atmosphere, and the people are incredible. They're attentive to your drink and serve you right up to the point of spilling the glass. You can also order up to four hot dogs for each glass of your drink. This place is incredible. I'm still here after a few months. It's the best place. Music, multicultural people in the middle of this great island. Everyone is super friendly and incredible. I have no other words to express this.

Certainly one of the iconic NYC burgers and it does deliver. The meat quality was solid and the cook was perfect. My only critique is slightly under seasoned for my liking but that’s personal preference. Fries and tots were standard but the burger is the star here. It’s not the best burger in the city but it’s probably the most accessible. You can walk in and grab a drink at the bar while waiting for your table. It’s way easier and way cheaper to eat this burger than say 4 Charles, minetta tavern, red hook tavern. So it definitely has a place on the burger lists. Note cash only. Verdict: will definitely return.

Great service. Cool, old-fashioned decor. Outdoor terrace was clean and quiet. The fries were salted but nothing special. The burger was a great portion, on a potato-style roll. The meat for the burger was bland, but cooked exactly medium-rare. It lacked seasoning (much like others have said), I wasn’t overly satisfied with the flavor even if the meat was juicy. Bacon was crispy, which made this 4/5 star review.

If you want a top 5 LTO burger go here and pair it with a cold beer. If you want a French style burger go somewhere else and be quiet. Also sitting at the bar to watch sports is hard to beat.

THIS IS A CASH ONLY PLACE It's aReal pub 🍻 atmosphere. Its not super huge. But it has that the old world charm. The menu isn't big but that has an advantage. The food comes out super fast. The burgers and huge and hot and melt in your mouth. I recommend the bistro burger 🍔. Also the tots. You will get a large portion of food and can share with at least 2 or 3 people. Sorry no pictures I ate the burger so fast it was gone before I remembered. I would recommend coming here if u want a burger and chill vibe.

It's a local pub/bar feel. Smallish, only about 5 tables iirc. We had the burgers and the were pretty jammin, ngl. Also serve McSorely's ale there so big plus there too. Nice selection of other beers too. Worth a check if not having to wait much. We went quite late so it was easy to get a seat. Not sure what the rest of the day is like.

I’ve been coming to the Corner Bistro (aka the bistro) for 20+ years, and it’s one of my favorite places to be. It’s a tad loud and rowdy, and it’s been years since my favorite server (Frankie) has left. But the place still has the same feel. And the bistro burger and fries still hits the spot. Prices are higher than they used to be (this spot would have the cheapest everything back in the day), but if you have a chance, stop by the NYC landmark.

This place went downhill lol. The burger meat is bad quality and unseasoned. I honestly thought it tasted a bit gamey. Last time I came here was 2 years ago and it was definitely more flavorful and the line for a table was way longer. You can get the same style of burger at JG Mellon and it’s much better. Also, don’t get the fries, the tots are better. Cash only and no reservations btw We spent $50 + tip between two people (2 burgers, one tot, one beer) so the price was okay Almost forgot to mention the bathroom though. It smelled foul - like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. And it’s right across from the kitchen which really grossed me out. It’s probably worse than a gas station bathroom because close quarters and there was one roll of toilet paper that was just loose around there and shoved into a crevice of the trash can slot for people to use

~Basic Fast Food Falafel~ Falafel platter is freshly prepared and tastes decent. Generous portions. Comes with side pita bread. Good for to go on the run. There are adequate sitting area inside and outdoor.

I got the falafel plate with rice and salad, and the falafels were great, the rice is fragrant, and the salad is crunchy and fresh. I thought it was a great value and it was delicious. Few tables inside to sit and dine.

Really enjoyed eating here the other day. The Falafel sandwich and seasoned fried were super good and just what I needed on my work break. The service was awesome and the employee with the two braids was super energetic and took lots of time to help me figure out what to get . The location is very convenient for me and I will be coming back!

Just got a side of falafel but they were good. The mint lemonade is refreshing and not overally minty. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating.

Food here is always reliable and filling. I like the option of self checkout kiosks, food always comes out quick. The people who work here are always chill and you most likely will not have trouble finding a place to sit. The environment is quiet and perfect for solo and group dining. The falafel bowl is my favorite and they have really good fries too.

Such a good place for your hand pulled noodles. Beef stew hand pulled noodle soup is so flavorful and filling. The spicy, cold cucumber is refreshing. Didnt see any tourists here so you're getting an authentic flavor!

The taste of the beef noodle soup is good, but the noodle is wayyyyyy over cooked. It felt like it was cooked and soaked in broth for a while. The fried dumpling is ok, $5 for 8, I have had better/cheaper dumplings elsewhere.

Loved it! Portions were huge! I got the Beef shaved noodle and it was was delicious! My friend had the lamb hand pulled noodle, and it was also really good, not gamey at all. 10/10

So I had the beef ma la tang- don’t be fooled by the photo. We found a wet wipe / napkin in my soup. I thought it was a fried tofu curd except it WASNT. Beware. The staff didn’t seem as shocked or concerned about this but it was nasty. I thought it was something else so I gave it to my partner who is less banana then I am to eat and that’s how we found out it was a paper towel.

So my 7 y/o godson loves ramen and I wanted treat him to an authentic place to get noodles so we went up the block to this spot. When you walk into the place the aroma is amazing. The staff was nice and the order was made quickly. He absolutely LOVED the shrimp hand pulled noodle soup. He says it's flavorful! (He is also a picky eater so that's major). It was an ample amount of noodles that we had enough for the next day for lunch and it tasted even better the next day with the noodles soaking up all the flavor. The dumplings were so good I wish I had ordered more. The only downside is we didn't get any condiments in the bag but I should have remembers to ask. Other then that great spot!

The pizza maker, the Latino with a white hat, was extremely rude to a Latino delivery guy! The delivery guy who was there as a customer wasn't sure about the menu, and the pizza maker got impatient and rude. Then the customer asked for a Fanta, and the pizza maker raised his voice and asked "what Fanta!" Instead of asking what flavor, then he proceeded to hit the counter with the soda. The customer told him he was being rude for no reason. The pizza guy just ignored him. I'm a Latino, but I look American, so the same rude guy was very nice and attentive to me. When I spoke to him in Spanish, he was surprised. When I went to pay my order I gave him a tip but he just gestured like if he didn't want it. I told him it was the tip he pointed at a jar. The other pizza guy with a blue Adidas hat was the opposite. He was extremely nice. Now the food, I ordered a cheese slice and a cheese beef patty. The slice tasted like a $0.99 pizza, and the beef patty was good, 7 out of 10.

I love this pizza place! Stopped in hungry praying for decent pizza. I’m a New Yorker my whole life Pizza is my diet on my day to day hustle. I don’t usually do reviews but i absolutely had to do it to give credit where it’s due! The crust was just right, sauce perfect cheese Legit! Very authentic old style New York pizza. I’ve had it all and it was better back in the days everywhere. This place brought me back. It’s what i always hope for in a pizza.

Doing the slice tour of NYC. Found another good one. Crispy, chewy, roof of mouth 3rd degree burns. Couldn’t wait. Delicious. Wife and son got fancier slices including a pasta slice. All amazingly good.

solid local slice shop. probably would get a whole pie if i lived close to it but will def revisit whenever im in the hood and crave a classic slice. the ratios are perfect and the staff is really nice. i love the old school vibe inside.

Just got my pizza from here yummy yum yum. That's all I could say. The guys over they are friendly and down to earth. They all love to Cummunication with every1 that likes to communicate. Got me 2 more slices for leftovers. Looks even more Delicious

I had a few minutes ago a bad experience with this restaurant. I called the store to cancel an order and they didn't help me. Why? because they told they can't do that, then after our conversation, put my order in picked up. THAT IT WAS NOT TRUE!!!! . I never picked up the order I just wanted a refund!!!!. I wanted my money back and the excuse was that they (as employees) can't cancel orders. Now, I lost $30.46 because they didn't want to cancel my order and a refund is not an option either. Please be careful with this store. They stole my money. I hope someone from here can reach me out to resolve this issue.

I went there few minutes ago. I believe the employee was Hispanic and he was on the phone. When I walked in, he told me they ran out of bread. Then I went out and walked back in when I saw him preparing sandwich for other people. So I asked to get a 6 inch tuna sandwich. He started to make my sandwich the way he wanted to. For example, I asked for cheddar cheese he put pepperjack without asking me. Made me wait 30mins. The drink fountain was also not working. And they don’t have all the toppings. Very bad experience. What a waste of time and energy.

I haven’t had Subway in a very long time and was craving it and I must say … I am SO upset and I will never eat there again. I had a honey chicken wrap with honey mustard with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and honey mustard. About 30 minutes after of me eating it, I felt nauseous and my stomach was hurting so bad. Next thing you know I’m throwing up. This happened last night around 10PM all the way until 1AM. I went to sleep and now I have diarrhea (TMI I KNOW LOL). I will NEVER ORDER FOOD FROM HERE AGAIN.

This place is clean. The workers are courteous. Lisa is the manager. She is a very kind lady and makes all of her sandwiches as if she were making them for her very own children. This place is the best sandwiches in Queens Bridge! Ty so much! Alex

Best Subway in NYC! Tried many of them in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. This store has hardworking employees who deserve promotions. Quality of sandwich is 10/10. Always fresh and yummy!

we stopped here this morning to get some breakfast subs but we experienced some truly terrible service. ads in front and in clearly saying breakfast available but when we ask for, young man said no breakfast (at 8:45). then wanted to get herbs & cheese subs but again not available. the best was the end when he said that we can't sit in as he will close the place soon... seriously??? suggest to review procedures at this branch because this is deep low location. recommending to avoid because staff could completely spoil your otherwise nice morning with his earphones in while working.

Rating: 4.8/5 It’s basic, but nostalgic. Miss the old dive diners? Pretty much all the good ones are gone or have succumbed to the Instagram wave as a last resort to stay afloat. Is this place a diner or a coffee shop? Honestly, it doesn’t matter what you call it—you’ll get really good, no-frills food at a decent price. The traditional Greek owners and chefs are in the back, cranking out food like it’s nothing. The service is wonderful and always felt welcome when I sat down too order. I’ve been here a few times while in the area for work, and it’s always a treat to stop by and grab breakfast on a slow morning. The BEC is amazing too (but I forgot to take a picture)

It is a nice place for breakfast and coffee. Portions are satisfying. The omelettes are delicious and the staff is really friendly. If you are staying in this area or passing through, you should give this place a try. Greetings to my Greek friend. 😊🙌

I ordered a total of three plates. One chocolate chip pancakes, and two orders of the two eggs with some type of protein. luckily I checked my order, as more than half the order was missing. they gave me pieces of the order, but still had items missing. when I finally press them to give me what I ordered, they asked me for more money, when I refuse. they ultimately just gave me my actual order. Make sure you double and triple check your order at this place

This restaurant feels like a blend of an old-school convenience store and a fast-food joint. It features an extra-long counter selling a variety of small items and food, along with a narrow hallway with just three or four tables. Most people come here for the pizza, which costs $5 per slice and tastes pretty good. If you order slices from the display case rather than a whole pizza, they’ll take the slices out of the case and reheat them in the oven. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a quick and satisfying bite of pizza.

Was visiting with my brother and his wife, we ordered 2 pies a cheese and vegan pepperoni. Let me tell you, both were so good!! Definitely recommend to anyone that wants a good NY slice!

Went here a few times as it was close to the hotel. met the owners while enjoying a slice, very nice and accommodating. Pizza was pretty good, also had a breakfast sandwich here once which was really good.

I came at 8pm. Yes, they reheated the pizza, but it was awesome. Sell by the slice or whole pizza. There is a small selection of convenient store stuff at the front. But I was here for the pizza. And I was not disappointed.

I had the lasagna to go from their hot food section, and I wasn't expecting to see a hot food section in here. It's not going to blow anyone away or even impress you, but it's what I expected to get. It'll do for my lasagna fix. The guy serving it to me was really in to it. They even have a few tables i there.

Food is good. My pizza was very good. It was banging! Loved my pizza. (Before 3 pm) I have gone several times and the afternoon pizza is great, but after 3 pm, it just sits there, so it’s not as good.They have healthy juices but only with seasonal fruits. They also have candy and other stuff, Tylenol, aspirin, etc.

Had a delivery order and it was perfect. I ordered a 14" and I think they gave me a 16". It was huge. All fresh ingredients. Said it would take an hour to get the pizza and it took 20 mins. Thanks for helping a Texan enjoying his last night in NY with a great experience!

Really good food with excellent service! The spices were well balanced and flavorful. Probably the best subwy food we've had in a real long time. Highly recommended.The subway stuff serve me his name is Amit he is a good person and friendly behavior.

This one is awful, I felt like I was being pranked. He wouldn't take my $6 dollars in subway rewards. He tried a few times to take my food to go and he told me cause the store closes at 8pm. The sign clearly says 9pm and when another customer, I overheard him saying he told that it does close at 9pm and he only told them that to get us to leave. I also bought a fountain drink to try the new flavors drinks and when I went to fill up he snapped at me, saying those weren't for me. No explanation. The whole experience was uncomfortable and felt like I was being singled out.

This is the best Subway I have ever been to. I've had issues with quality at other Subway stores, such as an off-putting taste (likely due to old or poor storage/handling of ingredients) or mild stomachache from their sandwiches. But this Subway has the highest quality and best-tasting sandwiches. Their ingredients are always fresh, the store looks clean, and the staff are friendly and have never given me any problems.

Don't neglect people waiting in line. As someone else has pointed out they don't respect your time and you will be waiting in line like a chump. I would say if you have to wait more than 5 minutes for a sandwich; go eat something else. Do not screw around with peoples time.

Absolute daymare of a place. Spent 15 minutes waiting in line, only 1 person ahead of me the worker never even bothered to acknowledge I was there or apologize for taking his sweet merry time but was rudely staring at something on my t shirt so ended up walking out and eating somewhere else. They also hired a woman in there who doesn't speak a word of English, the previous time I was there they had to let a customer walk behind the counter so he could point to what he wanted on the menu. Will never step foot in there ever again.....

Place is Clean, staff members are nice, great service. Always go here for subway sandwiches. Recommend this store.

Friendly staff. We got here just before closing. Pizza was very good but out too long by the time we got to it. Crust is thin but a little too dense for my liking. We ate them on the hood of the car. I’m soo full right now. FYI. I gave bonus stars to the review because the guy hooked us up with two free slices of your choosing. I think he burnt the two regular slices. It is what it is.

Ordered back in August for a gluten free pie, service was decent enough, and although wait time was not great, what I was most displeased by was the crust of the pizza, it tasted super dry and hard, and this is coming from someone who normally enjoys eating pizza crust, I could not get myself to eat any more after the first slice, so that was a little disappointing. There was also an issue with some high school kids being extremely loud in the back and the tables being so dirty in the front, so I couldn’t even eat at the restaurant. Being that the cashier was on their phone the whole time, I knew nothing was gonna be done for either of those issues so i just left as soon as receiving my pizza, only to be disappointed by the crust being so dry.

Went for a quick lunch on a weekday in June. They have a few pizzas ready out front, so just picked a slice each of the cheese pizza, and of the spinach artichoke. They were both decent. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Staff is friendly. Total for just 2 slices came to 8.50 plus tips, so not cheap.

First time there this afternoon. Just moved here from Florida. definitely wanted some real authentic pizza. had the BBQ pizza and it was amazing. Will definitely be my go to spot for either lunch or even dinner.

This was one of the worst pizza places I have ever ordered food from. Order was late, which I would have not cared much about if the food made up for it. Unfortunately, it did not. They sloppily threw everything inside a paper bag instead of putting it in a small pizza box, which made everything wet and soggy. My slice was inside the same bag as the garlic knots, and the slice was just thrown in sloppily. The least of my issues: The garlic knots had an option “Extra sauce for additional charge,” I chose that option. Yet, I didn’t receive any sauce whatsoever. Not the one it’s supposed to come with, nor the extra sauce I paid for. The slice was ice cold and the cheese was hard. The garlic knots were stale and tough to bite into. The eggplant parmigiana hero was on stale bread. There wasn’t even any cheese inside the actual hero, it was all along the side on the outside, but it doesn’t even matter because the cheese smelled like sour milk anyways. I usually try to give 2-stars if a restaurant has any kind of redeeming quality, but this one doesn’t.

Best pizza store ever. Their pizza crust is so thin yet chewy, freshly made pizza source tastes amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Grade A service. Pesto slice was really good and bae's regular slice with extra cheese looked muy delicioso. Zeppolis (3/$1) were on point I haven't had any in years! They were so kind, since we came so close to closing, they gave us 3 more on the house! I love it here! Update: ordered some pasta to go. I forgot the name but it's the one with the anchovies but I tell them to hold the anchovies. This is quite delicious. But next time I think I'd get it with ziti pasta. Update: I'm addicted to their pesto pasta!!!

I want to leave a review for Napoli Pizza in Astoria. I found both the taste and the service really disappointing. A pizza should be crispy and firm, but when I opened the pizza, the sight in front of me was truly disheartening. Imagine being extremely hungry, waiting impatiently for your meal, and then being served something that doesn’t even appeal to your eyes. First of all, the mozzarella on the pizza had slid off and was not properly on top of the pizza, leaving the dough exposed, as shown in the attached photos. Moreover, the tomato sauce was poured before the pizza was fully baked, and it leaked under the pizza, making what should have been a crispy pizza end up soggy and muddy. Please look at the attached photos. I wanna add ome more thing which is about health. After eating this pizza, I felt serious stomach and belly pain in the middle of the night during my sleep. I woke up and went to restroom several times. What an unfortunate experience. I strongly don’t recommend this place to anyone. This is unacceptable. If you don’t know how to make pizza properly, please stop doing it—you don’t have to continue this job.

First time here and the food was good. Place is a bit small if you bring a big party. Love their tartufo especially in this hot weather.

Racist people work here. If you're black, don't go here. I, a black woman, was treated so poorly by the guy working here and another employee when I last went here. I found this place while walking around looking for a place to eat, after I just landed in NYC. I was simply trying to make an order to-go and received the worst attitude from these people. For example, I asked him to revise part of my order and he grumbled and started slapping the food ticket on the table. Others of different races were being treated much differently and better. I ended up telling them to cancel the order and left without getting anything; I don't want people like that making food I will eat or receiving any of my money.

Our hostess /waitress was great. Tried Italian IPA beer for the first time. Chicken fettuccine Alfredo was really really good. The Napoli pizza was good. Calamari could have been fried more. Great value for the money,

I barely write reviews unless is awesome, but this place really pissed me off. The place is horrible and the employees don't care. They gave me uncooked chicken and skin was all over place. I couldn't eat it and when showed the employees how the chicken looks, they didn't even care or explain why. If i had eaten the chicken, i would got food poisoning. I returned the chicken at register and i didn't even ask refund. I hope the owner see this and do better next time. I will go back to that place and i won't recommend it to anyone.

Checkers is an affordable fast food option that consistently impresses with its fries. While I'd describe the food as good, it also feels heavier than other chains (like McDonald's) almost as if it would block arteries. Their fries are exceptionally good. The burgers are decent, good but not great, and unfortunately, their desserts and wings are just meh. The service at Checkers has always been great. The workers are consistently polite and friendly, which stands out, as fast food restaurants can sometimes be known for being careless. One minor detail I dislike is how they place napkins directly on top of the fries. I wish they would put them at the bottom of the bag to prevent them from getting stained by the oil. The overall vibe is definitely not a place you'd want to sit down and dine in. Both the exterior and interior feel somewhat strange; it's old, outdated, and often too brightly lit, creating an uninviting atmosphere. Despite the outdated atmosphere and some mixed food items, I genuinely like Checkers for its affordability, the friendly service from its workers, and especially its delicious fries. I will definitely be returning.

Nobody was behind me on line but the cashier still rushed me to make my order. Not a pleasant experience when you’re on limited time during a break in the middle of the day, very condescending. I only ordered one combo so it’s not like I was being a difficult ass by coming in 5 minutes before closing and ordering the entire menu, I understand the stress and rush that may come with working fast food but it wasn’t busy and maybe 3 people were inside sitting, I understand why someone would take this to go….Wendys would never 😢

Had the 4 dollar meal. It was hot and tasty. The burger was surprisingly not tiny. Fries and soda are definitely value size though.

There were five people busy working inside the kitchen, but no one cared to take care of the customers in the waiting line. There wasn’t much people sitting in the restaurant. We waited for about five minutes until someone finally picked up the line. The food serving speed was good, how ever it taste just like downgraded McDonald’s with smaller portion. There are leftover food on the table but nobody cleaned it up.

Pretty typical experience for a fast food restaurant (it was fast, and it was food), but it was exactly what I was looking for when browsing the area for a quick 9pm meal. The spicy chicken burger hits the spot, and their seasoned fries are quite good too.

As a west coast person, first time at checkers. The fries are superior. The burgers are solid. Easy 4 stars.
