Nice shop, old-school. A selection of baked specialities. I had the cumin soft pretzel and a small linzer torte. Both were excellent, in the traditional way. A very classical option for a very classical city, not much space for originality around here it seems.

An old school Bakery with cute pleasing interior which has fresh baked goods such as varieties of breads,chocolates,pralines,biscuits,tarte and croissants.Tried their Cinnamon cross bread which was delightful,it was fresh airy and perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar pops.Their Strawberry tarte presentation wise looks really beautiful but flavourwise I would say the strawberries adds a freshness but for me personally the filling gelatine was abit overly sweet but I think it varies on each person.Overall they have quality service and the staffs are very warm and welcoming.

Amazing chocolate that isn't presented in such a pretentious manner like the other confectionery shops in Basel. Their chocolate cakes are rich and dense, the hot chocolates are velvety and beautiful. Their own brand chocolate bars are also delicious and a reasonable price. The olive oil one is something special. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Loved this place.

Grabbed the chocolate cherry tortes and the rosemary and salted almond one. Absolutely dreamy. Think ganache with a slight crust of having met an oven at some point in its lifetime. At CHF6.50 a slice that's very reasonable for the standard and quality of ingredients. They'd definitely charge more in London. Lovely staff as well.

A fantastic spot to spend an hour on a dreary day Don't be afraid to try the cold chocolate drink as well as the hot- both are great. The chocolate torte (xocolatl-tarte) is also incredible and rich.

I had the most wonderful experience at Boulangerie Leyes on 43 Rue de Mulhouse, Saint-Louis, France! As soon as I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me with warm smiles, and they were so helpful in recommending their best bread and pastries. Let me tell you, the moment I took a bite of their bread and croissants, I was transported to gastronomic heaven! The bread was crusty on the outside, yet so soft and flavorful inside. And those croissants, oh my goodness, they were perfectly flaky and buttery, leaving me craving for more. But the true highlight for me was their “les eclairs.” Oh boy, these eclairs are an absolute must-try! The choux pastry was so light and airy, and the cream filling was simply divine. Topped with that rich glaze, it was pure bliss with every bite. Not only was the taste exceptional, but the presentation was also top-notch. Each item looked like a work of art, making it even more enticing to indulge in. Overall, I cannot recommend Boulangerie Leyes enough. The workers’ warmth and hospitality, combined with their ultra-delicious treats, made it a memorable visit. If you’re in Saint-Louis, France, do yourself a favor and head to Boulangerie Leyes for a delightful treat that will leave you craving for more!

Croissants are the star of the show here, a must try! Baguettes are also great, as are some of the fruit tarts, we also tried one of the cakes on one occasion and it was good. Macarons are rather average. The waiting time is normally not longer than 15 minutes even if you have 20 numbers before you so don’t be dissuaded by the crowd. Service is generally friendly and efficient.

Only 500 meters from Switzerland, yet the quality and prices are already French. Just a perfect or 'how it should be' French boulangerie. Recently they introduced an electronic queue and now the line is not so long in the peak hours (I was there on Saturday about 12.00 and it's definitely a peak)

Good selection, service with a scowl. I ordered a hot sandwich and the server forgot about it until it started to burn. Then she served it anyways, even though it was clearly burnt! I had to tell her it was unediable. She brought out a replacement with a sour look on her face.

Food is good, just overpriced for the amount of food that you get. Service is very disorganized (if you’ve never been to the place and you make a reservation, there is no one to receive you at the entrance and explain to you what to do or to ask about your reservation) and the place is very loud.

I like the place. Their biggest advantage is their open hours, combined with good coffee quality. I liked the meals I have tried so far. The lemon cake is very good. Attention is good and kind. You have to order yourself at the bars. The noise is usually loud inside, the place is big and cozy.

Absolutely the best café in Basel! Every time I visit the city, my day starts with breakfast at Unteremitte. It’s become my little ritual. The place has such a relaxed vibe, the staff are super friendly, and everything they serve is top quality. I love their coffee and fresh Gipfeli (forgive my pronunciation 😅). Visiting Unternehmen Mitte is always a pleasure - they serve some of the best coffee in Basel, and the atmosphere is always very welcoming. I also really appreciate that there‘s no pressure to order anything in order to stay. On this particular visit, I had a homemade iced tea and the raspberry cheesecake - both were delicious, highly recommended! My friend ordered a cold chai and the lemon cheesecake. While the chai was great, the lemon cheesecake was a bit disappointing, the base was overly lemony, and she couldn‘t finish it. That aside, we both really enjoyed our time there!

The place looks nice and the staff are kind, but the problem clearly lies with the management. The delays are excessive, and it’s obvious there are not enough employees. Prices are normal – not cheap – so customers should expect proper service, not long waits and self-service frustration. This trend in Switzerland where you pay full price but do half the work yourself is getting tiring. The owners should hire more staff and rethink the concept before relying on aesthetics to make up for poor organization.

Very spacious restaurant in a great location with good vegetarian/vegan food. The coffee and the brunch were delicious and came with a lot of food. We went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t busy but I would recommend to book a table if going with a group.

The restaurant is very quaint and cozy, with a terrace outside that's almost completely surrounded by green bushes, hiding it from the crowded street. Staff was very friendly, although the service was a bit slow, since there was only one girl there. The cornetto with Nutella was delicious, and the panini was good, but nothing spectacular. The Americano coffee wasn't that great either, but the cappuccino was better.

One of my favorite places in Basel for a delightful breakfast or weekend brunch. The cozy ambiance, warm service, and commitment to quality make it a true gem. Their fluffy mini pancakes are definitely my favorite, however I would love for the restaurant to add eggs benedict and salmon eggs royale to their menu as well :)

I go for the cheese cake. I’m very picky about my cake & this cake is Seriously Spectacular. Coffee is good. Service is bad. I only go for the cheesecake. And it is worth going for. Update: I used to give this 5 stars for the cheesecake but the service has not gotten better, as one would expect it would with experience. Only go if you have a lot of patience and time to wait for the super slow service. The 3 stars is for the cool deco, locally owned & neighborhood vibe.

This omelette was so poorly made, I can't believe the cook was okay with serving it - just look at the photo 🤦🏻‍♀️. Yolks and whites were not mixed, the insides spilled all over the place like a broken hollandaise, and the outside was rubbery. Inside was one slice of ham and one tiny chunk of cheese. Also, it was missing the salad greens it was supposed to come with. Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a rush after the omelette took 25 minutes to make despite there only being 1 other customer when I arrived, so I couldn't bring up these issues. The espresso comes from a machine, so the steamed milk lacked any silkiness, and the shot was poorly pulled. A customer who arrived after me was offered an English menu, while none was offered to me. That's fine, but just sours the experience a bit more. The only saving grace was that the baked goods I took away were decently good.

Cozy place. I went with 2 friends for Sunday brunch. The Mediterranean breakfast is quite good and the prices are reasonable. The best, the staff, super nice and helpful and the good vibes of the place: super chill... I really enjoyed the experience and I recommend it.

I can't recommend this place enough. We had brunch at the place, including eggs, bacon, an omlet, apply pastry, and cappuccinos. The food was so incredible, we grabbed sandwiches to go (which were also fantastic). The service was too notch, and the atmosphere was simply delightful. 🇨🇭 My best experience was to have a blueberry cheese cake here with a cappuccino. The service was so welcoming and it reminds you of a typical Swiss hospitality.

The cafe has been operating since 1898. It has a 2 levels dining room, one with a corner with armchairs and sofa and outside tables against 2 walls (it's a corner unit) They display chocolates, pastries, and sandwiches. Service is efficient and friendly but not very fast They serve coffee with a pitcher of hot water, one with hot milk, a glass of cold water, and one of their chocolates (excellent). At SF 5.40 for an Americano, this is great value.

My colleagues and I came to do the chocolate workshop. It was very nice and fun. We tasted a lot of chocolates and decorated some. I highly recommend doing it with a small team (10-15 people) because you have the time to ask questions and to enjoy the tasting.

Hands down my favourite cafe in Basel, as a tourist I don't like to go back to the same place twice, as there so much to see and try however I made an exception for this place. It's makes possibly the best hazelnut almond croissant I've ever tasted. Coffee was delicious, and they go the extra mile with giving a really scrumptious chocolate with it. I found Switzerland really quite expensive for practically everything. However, this little cafe was really quite reasonably priced in comparison to most. Their roast beef sandwich with horseradish was also just chefs' kiss. I would consider coming back to Basel for a day trip just to eat here. Couldn't recommend enough for a sandwich, cake, and coffee lunch.

Been here before also. One of the best in Basel. Great location, in the heart of Kleinbasel. Friendly and welcoming staffs. Super fast delivery. Yummy croissants, chocolate cakes, pastries and the hot beverages. Fully recommended.

Why don't you serve people? The tables were full, so we decided to buy something at the counter and take it home. When we arrived at the counter one person was just served before us. Then we where ignored, while 4 persons where behind the counter cleaning and moving things around. A queue of 3 clients formed, but no action. After 8 minutes we left empty handed.

Da Graziella is a great option if you're looking for a good coffee and tasty pastry. The staff is very friendly and you get a bit of an Italian flair when staying there. Good thing especially for workers is that it opens at 6am.

Have had multiple bad experiences with the staff here at Feldbergstrasse! No courtesy and borderline racists! Given they get customers from Roche/ Novartis regularly, implying they get v international crowd, how is it the young staff doesn't understand English! On top, they bark back their responses. We kept going back for food (the only saving grace) but never again after their latest misbehavior! Really need to learn some basic hospitality!! Wish there was an option of giving negative stars!

The attractivly presented window caught our attention as we wandered through Basel with a amazing display of cakes (cinnamon buns/rolls. My wife is vegan and the options were excellent. The service was lovely and the toilets immaculate.

I hesitated for many months to walk in. The rolls looked pretty but overly sweet and having had that type of rolls before elsewhere I found them sticky and sweet. I have just tried the pistachio roll and it’s really delicious. Fresh and moist dough and a topping that isn’t too sweet. And it’s not sticky! The cappuccino was good and they have lactose free milk. I will be back!

Opened on a Sunday itself qualifies them for 5 stars and on top their amazing customer service and quality rolls has great experience written all over it. i went because there is a lot of hype around this place and because i really wanted to try the rolls:) they are very big and i like that there’s so many flavours to choose from:)) i also liked how beautifully decorated they were! the staff was really friendly aswell! i wouldn‘t visit regularly though because the rolls are very pricy and some flavours are a little too sweet for me personally but i still think it‘s a very nice place to get some special cinnamon rolls and do a picknick! there‘s also a good variety of drinks to choose from!

I visited Cinnamood this evening to try their Speculoos Roll, but unfortunately, the service at this location left me quite disappointed. When we arrived, two staff members were chatting in the corner. I tried to get their attention to ask about the different rolls and their best seller, but neither of them approached us even though there were no other customers waiting. Eventually, I had to go to the counter myself to ask about the options, and only then did someone assist. After ordering, I mentioned that I would like to dine in. However, instead of being given a plate like other customers, I was handed a takeaway box (as shown in the photo). It felt unfair and made me question: why was I treated differently? Was it because I interrupted their conversation? I believe customer service should be consistent for everyone. If needed, the CCTV footage can verify my experience, I’m simply sharing this because I felt ignored and unwelcome. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this particular branch, though I know there are other locations in Basel that may offer better service.

Coffee was okay, but not great. Unfortunately there is only take-away. I would've appreciated cow milk as an option for my cappuccino, as I dislike the taste of vegan alternatives. I didn't realise it when I entered, but it's a vegan place. So fair enough. The high prices for coffee are to be expected in Switzerland. That said, staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is great thanks to tasteful witchy decorations. The donut was delicious and the taste of lavender really came through.

Amazing vegan bakery and coffee shop in a very cute old building. The shop is tiny but full of kindness, warmth, and an inclusive vibe. The pride flag hangout outside is a bonus too! The two doughnuts I got are amazing and the coffee is as well. Definitely worth a stop for any vegan (or non-vegan) in the city!

While walking around we spotted this place, with all vegan made delights! It was very small inside and no seating but that didn’t stop us from order one of everything they had! The gentleman that took our order was very friendly and helping in explaining each treat and what was in it.. even if you are not vegan you will really enjoy the flavors.

Fantastic donuts and a very friendly store manager who explained everything to us (His name was Luke). We had a "RASPBERRY CHANTILLY" and a "MELON MINT"; both were super tasty! The donuts change regularly and are made fresh daily. The great thing, they are not so heavy on the stomach. Maybe because they are vegan. Priced totally within reason. Such local small stores should be supported! Keep it up!

Enjoyed my iced strawberry matcha strawberry puree was delicious and the ratio of milk, matcha and fruit was well balanced. The size was very generous for 7.5 CHF. Didn't try the croissants but they looked really tempting and dangerous. Might try next time

Nice ideas of Croissant, two main thi gs that we didn't like: it was a cold weather and so were our Croissants - this took off the indulgence tasting we were expecting. There is no place to sit, it is only for buying. Service was though very kind.

There’s a variety of sweet flavors to choose from and also a few savory options. I wouldn’t consume it on a regular basis because the price is quite high but it’s definitely worth trying😍 It’s a Take Away Spot so i would recommend to enjoy the croissants and drinks in a park or at the rhine river like we did:)

Everything tasty and good, tried the yogurette one and I'm very satisfied. Strawberry matcha latte was good to but the raffaelo was too sweet - it has a lot of filling and cream is good for the people that really like sweet. The salty croissants are also very good

Very good coffee and nice selection of cakes. But note that cakes marked GF means ‘Gluten Friendly’ not ‘Gluten Free’ and there is cross contamination from storage, handling and cooking in the same oven - so not suitable for Celiacs.

The staff member was very unfriendly. I believe they intentionally short changed me thinking I wouldn’t realise because I was English. The coffee was also one of the worst we had in Switzerland despite being one of the most expensive. The setting itself is ok but best to avoid places where they rip off tourists.

Would be nice if the lemonade actually had some lemon in it, otherwise please just call it Sirup :D plus with your prices asking for tips at the door is tacky, please pay your staff adequately

This place is buzzing with activity... and food choices! Had the house-made birchermuesli and it was absolutely delicious! They have salads and sushi, other entrées, cheeses, deli-meats, freshlybaked goods and general groceries.

Not only this I loved the cakeboard she used and wanted to order such ones for my artwork and Kasia was so prompt in replying to my emails and even volunteered to order some for me , who does this for one off customers.
