Bakery
Konditorei-Confiserie Gilgen is a small but well kept secret in Basel. Many locals know about it, however people visiting Basel for the first time might not have heard of it. The bakery produces exquisite pastries and desserts, which are of very high quality and worth the price tag. It can be hard to get served, as it is popular with locals who come for the bread and pastries, but the wait is definitely worth it!
Cute little bakery in old town. The sausage roll and apple tart are delicious! Very flaky or crumbly crunchy pastry and not soggy at all. The staff are kind enough to explain their yummy goods in English if needed. I wish I had the stomach space to try their other goods! Have spare cash ready if buying under 10 CHF.

Nice shop, old-school. A selection of baked specialities. I had the cumin soft pretzel and a small linzer torte. Both were excellent, in the traditional way. A very classical option for a very classical city, not much space for originality around here it seems.
Dominique H — Google review
Extremely kind and sweet lady at the counter. Helped us out to choose what to pick as we were new. Tasty buns!

An old school Bakery with cute pleasing interior which has fresh baked goods such as varieties of breads, chocolates, pralines, biscuits, tarte and croissants.Tried their Cinnamon cross bread which was delightful,it was fresh airy and perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar pops.Their Strawberry tarte presentation wise looks really beautiful but flavourwise I would say the strawberries adds a freshness but for me personally the filling gelatine was abit overly sweet but I think it varies on each person.Overall they have quality service and the staffs are very warm and welcoming.

Bought delicious dough with not too sweet plum filling. Loved it

Chocolate shop
Located in the old town of Zürich, Xocolatl GmbH offers a variety of Swiss chocolate brands including Rehmann and La Flor. The store is important to know its producers and suppliers personally because their products have a significant value for fair trade and sustainable practices. In addition to hot chocolate drinks, you must try their Schoggi!
My friend took me to this shop and café a couple of weeks ago, and I’m so happy she did! The atmosphere is super nice and classy, and the shop offers uncountable quality chocolates from all over the world. We were lucky to get a table in the café, where my friend drank some hot chocolate, I got a milky coffee (unfortunately they didn’t have decaf), and we shared the Kongo Tarte au chocolat with rosemary and salted almonds, which was surprisingly tasty. They have dozens and dozens of hot chocolates on the menu, as well as several chocolate cakes, your standard hot and cold beverages, and some sweet and savory non-chocolate options, so I believe anyone can find something they like here.
That ᴗ — Google review
Amazing chocolate that isn't presented in such a pretentious manner like the other confectionery shops in Basel. Their chocolate cakes are rich and dense, the hot chocolates are velvety and beautiful. Their own brand chocolate bars are also delicious and a reasonable price. The olive oil one is something special. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Loved this place.
Basil Y — Google review
Grabbed the chocolate cherry tortes and the rosemary and salted almond one. Absolutely dreamy. Think ganache with a slight crust of having met an oven at some point in its lifetime. At CHF6.50 a slice that's very reasonable for the standard and quality of ingredients. They'd definitely charge more in London. Lovely staff as well.
K 2 — Google review
A fantastic spot to spend an hour on a dreary day Don't be afraid to try the cold chocolate drink as well as the hot- both are great. The chocolate torte (xocolatl-tarte) is also incredible and rich.
Alex H — Google review
The best chocolate cake I’ve ever had!! The lady at the store was nice enough to walk us through all the chocolate cake options. The one she recommended was decadent!
Hyo K — Google review
They have some gluten-free cake and a real coffee machine. Table service. English menu available. Very friendly.

We liked their cakes and chocolates. Also the drinks were nice. The place has the feeling of the old times. The staff is friendly

Very impressive selection of chocolates from around the world and also from Switzerland. There’s a cute cafe where you can sit and enjoy hot beverages as well as their delicious home baked treats. The flourless (gluten-free!) dark chocolate cake is out of this world! Absolutely delicious! Very friendly staff.

Sutter Begg, established in 1911, is a renowned bakery in Basel celebrated for its diverse bread and pastry offerings. The bakery boasts an extensive selection of bread and buns that varies with the seasons and even the days of the week. Among their popular items are the Ackersegen bread, ideal for sandwiches and toasting, and the Feigenstange, a fruity bread rich in figs, walnuts, and sultanas that complements soft cheese perfectly.

Boulangerie Leyes, located on 43 Rue de Mulhouse, Saint-Louis, France, offers a delightful experience with its warm and welcoming staff who are eager to recommend their finest bread and pastries. The bread and croissants are described as heavenly, with a crusty exterior giving way to a soft and flavorful interior. Despite being just 500 meters from Switzerland, the bakery maintains French quality and prices. Recent improvements such as an electronic queue have helped manage peak hour crowds.
A beautiful little cafe, with beautifully baked patisserie...very cute and romantic..
F N — Google review
A bakery with a wide variety, definitely worth a try. The bruschetta was great. I don't recommend the desserts, but the bread, croissants, sandwiches and pizza are great.
Samet — Google review
Cult, scenic, local gem of the place! Wide choice of goods, super high quality and taste, nice generous sizes. The service is very friendly, and in short - it’s worth every second of waiting in the line.
Dancing M — Google review
I had the most wonderful experience at Boulangerie Leyes on 43 Rue de Mulhouse, Saint-Louis, France! As soon as I walked in, the friendly staff greeted me with warm smiles, and they were so helpful in recommending their best bread and pastries. Let me tell you, the moment I took a bite of their bread and croissants, I was transported to gastronomic heaven! The bread was crusty on the outside, yet so soft and flavorful inside. And those croissants, oh my goodness, they were perfectly flaky and buttery, leaving me craving for more. But the true highlight for me was their “les eclairs.” Oh boy, these eclairs are an absolute must-try! The choux pastry was so light and airy, and the cream filling was simply divine. Topped with that rich glaze, it was pure bliss with every bite. Not only was the taste exceptional, but the presentation was also top-notch. Each item looked like a work of art, making it even more enticing to indulge in. Overall, I cannot recommend Boulangerie Leyes enough. The workers’ warmth and hospitality, combined with their ultra-delicious treats, made it a memorable visit. If you’re in Saint-Louis, France, do yourself a favor and head to Boulangerie Leyes for a delightful treat that will leave you craving for more!
Mohamed ( — Google review
Croissants are the star of the show here, a must try! Baguettes are also great, as are some of the fruit tarts, we also tried one of the cakes on one occasion and it was good. Macarons are rather average. The waiting time is normally not longer than 15 minutes even if you have 20 numbers before you so don’t be dissuaded by the crowd. Service is generally friendly and efficient.
Marko K — Google review
Only 500 meters from Switzerland, yet the quality and prices are already French. Just a perfect or 'how it should be' French boulangerie. Recently they introduced an electronic queue and now the line is not so long in the peak hours (I was there on Saturday about 12.00 and it's definitely a peak)
Evgenii M — Google review
Good selection, service with a scowl. I ordered a hot sandwich and the server forgot about it until it started to burn. Then she served it anyways, even though it was clearly burnt! I had to tell her it was unediable. She brought out a replacement with a sour look on her face.
Steve M — Google review
Nice selection of pastries, sandwiches. Coffee is nothing special. I was at this place and there was quite a long queue already but it’s worth to wait. Self service, in case you want eat there, order at the counter.

Unternehmen Mitte is a unique establishment located in the former headquarters of the Swiss Volksbank. The space has been transformed into a bustling coffee shop that offers a wide range of hot drinks and snacks. Despite the daily hustle and bustle of around 1000 guests, visitors can find quiet corners within the expansive hall to spend leisurely afternoons and evenings. Additionally, there's an old black-and-white photo booth that adds to the fun atmosphere during lively evenings with friends.
Really love this place! Super cozy atmosphere, amazing brunch, and so many great vegan options. They’ve got lots of different matcha choices too (like a really nice matcha brownie, which I always get).
Anisha J — Google review
Food is good, just overpriced for the amount of food that you get. Service is very disorganized (if you’ve never been to the place and you make a reservation, there is no one to receive you at the entrance and explain to you what to do or to ask about your reservation) and the place is very loud.
Maria G — Google review
Very nice place for a break in the city, and have a drink. The waitress was super nice and very smiley. Despite the crowd, we were served quickly. And the coffee was good and really nicely presented :) we would go again !
Déborah P — Google review
I like the place. Their biggest advantage is their open hours, combined with good coffee quality. I liked the meals I have tried so far. The lemon cake is very good. Attention is good and kind. You have to order yourself at the bars. The noise is usually loud inside, the place is big and cozy.
Florencia M — Google review
Absolutely the best café in Basel! Every time I visit the city, my day starts with breakfast at Unteremitte. It’s become my little ritual. The place has such a relaxed vibe, the staff are super friendly, and everything they serve is top quality. I love their coffee and fresh Gipfeli (forgive my pronunciation 😅). It always feels warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to be back.
Fabio N — Google review
Visiting Unternehmen Mitte is always a pleasure - they serve some of the best coffee in Basel, and the atmosphere is always very welcoming. I also really appreciate that there‘s no pressure to order anything in order to stay. On this particular visit, I had a homemade iced tea and the raspberry cheesecake - both were delicious, highly recommended! My friend ordered a cold chai and the lemon cheesecake. While the chai was great, the lemon cheesecake was a bit disappointing, the base was overly lemony, and she couldn‘t finish it. That aside, we both really enjoyed our time there!
Clarissa P — Google review
The place looks nice and the staff are kind, but the problem clearly lies with the management. The delays are excessive, and it’s obvious there are not enough employees. Prices are normal – not cheap – so customers should expect proper service, not long waits and self-service frustration. This trend in Switzerland where you pay full price but do half the work yourself is getting tiring. The owners should hire more staff and rethink the concept before relying on aesthetics to make up for poor organization.
Rene N — Google review
Very spacious restaurant in a great location with good vegetarian/vegan food. The coffee and the brunch were delicious and came with a lot of food. We went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t busy but I would recommend to book a table if going with a group.

Da Graziella is a family-run café founded by Italian immigrants in 1985. This Pasticceria offers delicious Sicilian specialties and authentic Italian coffee, providing a true taste of Italy on the banks of the Rhine. The cozy restaurant features a charming terrace surrounded by greenery, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling street. While the service may be slow at times due to limited staff, visitors praise the delightful Nutella-filled cornetto and tasty panini.
Great coffee 🇮🇹 great pastries 🥐 great terrace and super friendly staff. It’s been our favorite stop the last 4 years for our Basel sessions.

The restaurant is very quaint and cozy, with a terrace outside that's almost completely surrounded by green bushes, hiding it from the crowded street. Staff was very friendly, although the service was a bit slow, since there was only one girl there. The cornetto with Nutella was delicious, and the panini was good, but nothing spectacular. The Americano coffee wasn't that great either, but the cappuccino was better.

I go for the cheese cake. I’m very picky about my cake & this cake is Seriously Spectacular. Coffee is good. Service is bad. I only go for the cheesecake. And it is worth going for. Update: I used to give this 5 stars for the cheesecake but the service has not gotten better, as one would expect it would with experience. Only go if you have a lot of patience and time to wait for the super slow service. The 3 stars is for the cool deco, locally owned & neighborhood vibe.

Cafe
Bäckerei Jetzer Basel is a charming bakery located conveniently in the heart of Basel. The staff, both young and old, are known for their kindness and accommodating service, making it easier for non-German speakers to order. The pastries are highly praised for their deliciousness and reasonable prices. Visitors have enjoyed a delightful brunch with delicious pancakes and appreciated the friendly staff's efforts to make them feel at ease as foreigners.
We were searching the area near our AirBNB for a breakfast spot that included more than just bakery items but could find none. On our walk to the team, to our surprise we found this gem at the end of our street! Beautiful bakery PLUS breakfast to order with egg and bacon options. Delicious coffees, attentive staff, several English speakers, outdoor seating, great atmosphere, and institutional snacks to take out. Excellent!

This omelette was so poorly made, I can't believe the cook was okay with serving it - just look at the photo 🤦🏻‍♀️. Yolks and whites were not mixed, the insides spilled all over the place like a broken hollandaise, and the outside was rubbery. Inside was one slice of ham and one tiny chunk of cheese. Also, it was missing the salad greens it was supposed to come with. Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a rush after the omelette took 25 minutes to make despite there only being 1 other customer when I arrived, so I couldn't bring up these issues. The espresso comes from a machine, so the steamed milk lacked any silkiness, and the shot was poorly pulled. A customer who arrived after me was offered an English menu, while none was offered to me. That's fine, but just sours the experience a bit more. The only saving grace was that the baked goods I took away were decently good.

Cozy place. I went with 2 friends for Sunday brunch. The Mediterranean breakfast is quite good and the prices are reasonable. The best, the staff, super nice and helpful and the good vibes of the place: super chill... I really enjoyed the experience and I recommend it.

📝 Family-friendly place for bakery products and brunch with your friends. 🍴 They offer various interesting brunch sets. All portions are quite generous and food quality is high. If you finish bread you can actually get some more! I absolutely loved all the nice animal drawings on our cappuccinos. 📍 The place has lots of space and seats both inside and outside. It's simple but pretty.

Nice! Tasty brunch with very delicious pancakes, friendly staff made me as a foreigner calm down a little. It's not hard to find a blue disc parking space however 1 hour of parking made me a bit stressful while eating.

I can't recommend this place enough. We had brunch at the place, including eggs, bacon, an omlet, apply pastry, and cappuccinos. The food was so incredible, we grabbed sandwiches to go (which were also fantastic). The service was too notch, and the atmosphere was simply delightful. If you get a chance, I highly recommend you check this place out!

When you find yourself in Basel, a visit to Confiserie Beschle is an absolute must for any food lover. This charming establishment has been delighting patrons since 1898 with its exquisite range of confectionery and baked goods. Start your day with a sumptuous brunch featuring fresh breads, croissants, muesli, scrambled eggs, and specialty meats that cater to every palate. The buffet also offers refreshing local apple juice and aromatic coffee from London Tea.
Beschle in Basel is a great place for pastry lovers. The café has a refined yet cozy feel, making it a great place to unwind. Their pastries are outstanding, with rich flavors and delicate craftsmanship - especially the chocolate treats, which are a highlight. The staff were welcoming and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant experience. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to revisit whenever you're in town 😃

The cafe has been operating since 1898. It has a 2 levels dining room, one with a corner with armchairs and sofa and outside tables against 2 walls (it's a corner unit) They display chocolates, pastries, and sandwiches. Service is efficient and friendly but not very fast They serve coffee with a pitcher of hot water, one with hot milk, a glass of cold water, and one of their chocolates (excellent). At SF 5.40 for an Americano, this is great value.

My colleagues and I came to do the chocolate workshop. It was very nice and fun. We tasted a lot of chocolates and decorated some. I highly recommend doing it with a small team (10-15 people) because you have the time to ask questions and to enjoy the tasting.

Hands down my favourite cafe in Basel, as a tourist I don't like to go back to the same place twice, as there so much to see and try however I made an exception for this place. It's makes possibly the best hazelnut almond croissant I've ever tasted. Coffee was delicious, and they go the extra mile with giving a really scrumptious chocolate with it. I found Switzerland really quite expensive for practically everything. However, this little cafe was really quite reasonably priced in comparison to most. Their roast beef sandwich with horseradish was also just chefs' kiss. I would consider coming back to Basel for a day trip just to eat here. Couldn't recommend enough for a sandwich, cake, and coffee lunch.

Very nice place: comfortable, with broad space atmosphere. Service very good and kind. Meals and coffee: i very liked them. The chocolate cake from the photo could be better. The yogurt is very good, and classic croissants are excellent. With your coffee you are also included a small glass of water and a piece of chocolate. Nice service. In the photo, we ordered capucchinos.

This charming café, located just a short stroll from the Congress Centre Basel and Messeplatz, offers a perfect escape for anyone seeking a relaxed, inviting spot to enjoy a bite to eat. Inside, you’ll find plenty of seating in a warm and cozy environment, ideal for unwinding or catching up with friends. If you prefer the outdoors, there’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a bit of sunshine while sipping your coffee or indulging in a treat. The café boasts an impressive selection of freshly baked pastries, mouth-watering sandwiches, and a delightful array of cakes and other sweet treats. From flaky croissants to decadent tarts, every item on display is crafted with care and quality ingredients. The range of hot and cold drinks is equally extensive, featuring everything from rich, aromatic coffees and teas to refreshing juices and chilled beverages. We found ourselves spoiled for choice and would have loved to sample more if it weren’t for our upcoming lunch plans! The staff here were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure we felt welcome and well looked after throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality, combined with the café’s inviting ambiance, truly enhanced our experience, leaving us eager to return. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, a leisurely coffee break, or a cozy spot to relax, this café is a hidden gem not to be missed.

Why don't you serve people? The tables were full, so we decided to buy something at the counter and take it home. When we arrived at the counter one person was just served before us. Then we where ignored, while 4 persons where behind the counter cleaning and moving things around. A queue of 3 clients formed, but no action. After 8 minutes we left empty handed.

Have had multiple bad experiences with the staff here at Feldbergstrasse! No courtesy and borderline racists! Given they get customers from Roche/ Novartis regularly, implying they get v international crowd, how is it the young staff doesn't understand English! On top, they bark back their responses. We kept going back for food (the only saving grace) but never again after their latest misbehavior! Really need to learn some basic hospitality!! Wish there was an option of giving negative stars!

Cinnamood in Basel offers a variety of creative and delicious cinnamon rolls, including popular options like pistachio and classic flavors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing recommendations and taking their time with customers. The rolls are described as soft, fluffy, and flavorful, with a wide range of options including vegan choices. The store has a pleasant vibe and is considered very Instagram-worthy inside. However, some caution against sitting outside due to unstable tables.
Absolutely some of the best scrolls we’ve ever tasted. Large selection of fresh baked scrolls available to eat in or take away - we did both. Inside seating was comfortable and clean. Service was very good considering how busy they were.

The attractivly presented window caught our attention as we wandered through Basel with a amazing display of cakes (cinnamon buns/rolls. My wife is vegan and the options were excellent. The service was lovely and the toilets immaculate.

I hesitated for many months to walk in. The rolls looked pretty but overly sweet and having had that type of rolls before elsewhere I found them sticky and sweet. I have just tried the pistachio roll and it’s really delicious. Fresh and moist dough and a topping that isn’t too sweet. And it’s not sticky! The cappuccino was good and they have lactose free milk. I will be back!

Opened on a Sunday itself qualifies them for 5 stars and on top their amazing customer service and quality rolls has great experience written all over it. We ordered the Rafaello and original cinnamon along with Iced Americano and it was a good sugar rush that helped us fuel our walks for the day :) Do stop b!!

i went because there is a lot of hype around this place and because i really wanted to try the rolls:) they are very big and i like that there’s so many flavours to choose from:)) i also liked how beautifully decorated they were! the staff was really friendly aswell! i wouldn‘t visit regularly though because the rolls are very pricy and some flavours are a little too sweet for me personally but i still think it‘s a very nice place to get some special cinnamon rolls and do a picknick! there‘s also a good variety of drinks to choose from!
Sina S — Google review
Gets the job done … real well, solid. Not giving it a 5 only because it is a modern setting inside vs. something with more of an older atmosphere. As for quality of pastries and cappuccino, then it would be a 5. Very friendly service.
Mark L — Google review
I visited Cinnamood this evening to try their Speculoos Roll, but unfortunately, the service at this location left me quite disappointed. When we arrived, two staff members were chatting in the corner. I tried to get their attention to ask about the different rolls and their best seller, but neither of them approached us even though there were no other customers waiting. Eventually, I had to go to the counter myself to ask about the options, and only then did someone assist. After ordering, I mentioned that I would like to dine in. However, instead of being given a plate like other customers, I was handed a takeaway box (as shown in the photo). It felt unfair and made me question: why was I treated differently? Was it because I interrupted their conversation? I believe customer service should be consistent for everyone. If needed, the CCTV footage can verify my experience, I’m simply sharing this because I felt ignored and unwelcome. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this particular branch, though I know there are other locations in Basel that may offer better service.

Mystifry is Switzerland's premier vegan doughnut shop, originally a pop-up that gained such popularity it became a permanent fixture in Basel's old town. The bakery offers a selection of six inventive flavors, all crafted from vegan brioche dough and hand-decorated in small batches. Some of the delectable options include peanut butter, lemon meringue pie, and smores, accompanied by locally roasted direct trade coffee.
A cozy Donut corner, with amazing taste, innovative and lovely flavors and purely homemade. A little expensive factor is well justified once they reach your mouth! Probably the best not only in Basel, but in the entire region.

Coffee was okay, but not great. Unfortunately there is only take-away. I would've appreciated cow milk as an option for my cappuccino, as I dislike the taste of vegan alternatives. I didn't realise it when I entered, but it's a vegan place. So fair enough. The high prices for coffee are to be expected in Switzerland. That said, staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is great thanks to tasteful witchy decorations. The donut was delicious and the taste of lavender really came through.

Amazing vegan bakery and coffee shop in a very cute old building. The shop is tiny but full of kindness, warmth, and an inclusive vibe. The pride flag hangout outside is a bonus too! The two doughnuts I got are amazing and the coffee is as well. Definitely worth a stop for any vegan (or non-vegan) in the city!

While walking around we spotted this place, with all vegan made delights! It was very small inside and no seating but that didn’t stop us from order one of everything they had! The gentleman that took our order was very friendly and helping in explaining each treat and what was in it.. even if you are not vegan you will really enjoy the flavors.

Fantastic donuts and a very friendly store manager who explained everything to us (His name was Luke). We had a "RASPBERRY CHANTILLY" and a "MELON MINT"; both were super tasty! The donuts change regularly and are made fresh daily. The great thing, they are not so heavy on the stomach. Maybe because they are vegan. Priced totally within reason. Such local small stores should be supported! Keep it up!

Customers can enjoy the chic take-away experience with beautifully packaged sweet or savory croissants. While there is no seating available, the delicious pastries are perfect for breakfast or lunch on the go.
The Vanille croissant with cream and strawberries was delightful. The cream was delicious and not overly sweet, but just right, and the strawberries enhanced the sweetness of the cream. It was very fresh and my only regret is not getting a second one to enjoy later!

Amazing little hole in the wall with variety of expertly prepared hot/iced drinks, gourmet, and aesthetically tantalising pastries/baked goods. Nice ideas of Croissant, two main thi gs that we didn't like: it was a cold weather and so were our Croissants - this took off the indulgence tasting we were expecting. There is no place to sit, it is only for buying. Service was though very kind.

Very good sourdough. A bit pricey (7CHF for a loaf) but still justified for Switzerland. The girl at the desk was very kind and helped us choose the one we wanted as we like it less dark. Would go back again

Very good coffee and nice selection of cakes. But note that cakes marked GF means ‘Gluten Friendly’ not ‘Gluten Free’ and there is cross contamination from storage, handling and cooking in the same oven - so not suitable for Celiacs.

The staff member was very unfriendly. I believe they intentionally short changed me thinking I wouldn’t realise because I was English. (Translated by Google) Disappointing experience at the fish counter in Manor Basel My purchase at the fish counter in Manor Basel was an absolute disappointment. As someone who works in the fish trade myself, it was downright embarrassing for me to witness. I know exactly the correct procedure - from greeting and advice to professional packaging and farewell. But there was no sign of it here! • Presentation & Hygiene: The fish counter appeared lifeless and unkempt. There were also things in the buffet that definitely didn't belong there - e.g. B. Styrofoam pieces. That doesn't work at all! • Employee competence: The young man behind the counter was completely overwhelmed and obviously had no idea about the matter. He had to ask a colleague from the meat department for help - and that was an even bigger failure. The employee was not only unfriendly, but had zero knowledge about fish. She was holding a sea bass and explained to the customer that it was a salmon trout. Just sad! • Handling of the goods: The goods were treated very poorly and packaged carelessly. No care was even taken to pack them properly - as if it didn't matter at all. • Tare weight rip-off: The tare (weight of the packaging) was not deducted from me, which is an absolute disgrace! This is a basic rule and obligation - anything else is a rip-off! • Long waiting times: I lost a lot of time due to the ignorance and slowness of the employees. • Lack of experienced employees: You can clearly see that the former employees who really knew the ropes no longer work there. They were friendly, competent and knew what they were doing. The difference is huge! I work in the fish trade myself and know exactly how a professional fish counter should be run. A friendly greeting, competent advice, professional packaging of the goods and a polite farewell are the absolute minimum - but here you don't get any of that. In the end I was served by a blonde employee with glasses who finally knew what she was doing. She deducted the tare from me and packed the goods correctly - but by then it was too late and the overall impression was ruined. Conclusion: I will avoid Manor in the future, especially the fish and meat department. When you pay high prices, you expect appropriate service - but you don't get any of that here. Not even a friendly greeting! The previous employees are extremely missing, because the service was worlds better back then. Manor doesn't deserve a single star for me. Definitely not recommended!

Illuminated murals with city or nature motifs could create a more pleasant atmosphere here.

(Translated by Google) Feel free to buy freshly prepared, inexpensive silserli rolls (only CHF 4.90) with Rossbief, salami, ham or cheese as you walk by. Then at the same time you can get hold of a tasty fitness bread and veal liver, which is not always available, in the Manor Food supermarket. Lunch and dinner in one go...Vegetables are just averagely expensive...

Basel Bake is a renowned bakery known for its creative and delicious cakes. Whether you're looking for a whimsical unicorn or ninja-themed cake, or craving a decadent triple chocolate or salted caramel cheesecake, Basel Bake has got you covered. Customers rave about the custom themed cakes that are not only visually stunning but also incredibly tasty. Even those with dietary restrictions have found joy in Basel Bake's offerings, with gluten-free and vegan options available.
I didn't really know about Kasia until my girlfriend from Singapore surprised me not 1 but 2 cakes for my birthday. They were the apple pie and modern black forest cake. Usually, I rarely order cakes as I find them awfully sweet and I prefer them GF and vegan. When Kiasia delivered the cakes, I wasn't so excited with the black forest cake as we don't like cream cakes at home. But oh boy! It was probably the best black forest cake I've ever tasted - no alcohol and so light. And don't get me started with her apple pie, I was relieve she uses only organic apples. Everyone liked her apple pie! Both cakes are not too sweet, simply perfect! Although not GF and dairy free, I totally enjoy her sweet delights! I would probably like to try out her Basil Cheesecake next, too tempting! Thanks Kasia, for doing what you do. Beautiful cakes and super yummy too!

At Basel Bake I had an absolutly delightful slice of cheesecake with salted caramel sauce. Everything was perfect: the taste, the friendly service, and the elegant interior design.

My husband and I love nature and I ordered a nature themed cake for his 30th birthday. Kasia made this amazing cake for us, I could not be happier with it. It was not only a piece of art but also very fresh and delicious. The communication and the delivery were also really smooth. I can absolutely recommend her work.. Fantastic..

I love Kasia too, I have received two cake/ cup cake gifts sent to me using Basel Bake - Lotus Biscoff cheese cake & most recent cup cakes with the best cream frosting have ever tasted. Not only this I loved the cakeboard she used and wanted to order such ones for my artwork and Kasia was so prompt in replying to my emails and even volunteered to order some for me , who does this for one off customers. I recommend Kasia with all my heart and more 💕💕

I LOVE KASIA! I’m from Washington DC and I was trying to find a baker in Basel who spoke English and would be able to deliver a birthday cake to my military husband who is in the area for work. Kasia was so easy to talk to and coordinate with. She was kind enough to accommodate me! PLUS - the cheesecake looked better than I expected! I really recommend! So grateful!
