Nestled in the elegant Rue des Orfèvres, Maison Naegel is a true gem of Strasbourg's culinary scene. Renowned for its exquisite pastries and iconic tourte, this charming bakery also boasts an impressive selection of breads that are simply irresistible. With limited quantities available due to high demand, it's wise to place your order ahead of time!
Wow, what a place! Food looks very good and indeed, it tastes incredible. It must be the finesse of the French: friendly service, top quality ingredients, tasty and at a great location. It's just sensational, that tarte au citron is surreal.

Very famous patisserie in Strasbourg. There is not many space for eat in so that you can buy what you want for take away. Very good cakes ans pasty!

Pâtisserie Naegel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) A charming, traditional pâtisserie in the heart of Strasbourg with a long history and beautiful shopfront. I tried the almond croissant – it was good, fresh, and satisfying, though not the best I’ve ever had. The staff was polite, and the place has that authentic Alsatian elegance. Definitely worth a stop if you’re exploring the old town and craving something sweet. Classic, reliable, and full of local character!
Thái B — Google review
Looked up Naegel on Google before my trip to Straussberg. Looked so delicious and the past reviews were correct. Mouth watering pastries, sandwiches, bread etc.. I tried my hand at French...let's say the rest of my conversation was in English. The staff were considerate and kind. Our croissants were very good. Limited seating so don't expect to sit down. It can get busy as it is close to the Cathedral. 4 stars

I shopped at this bakery in Strasbourg twice during my visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and their products were truly fresh and delicious. What impressed me the most was when I forgot my phone there on my way back to Germany. When I called, one of the employees answered right away and handled the situation with great care. After taking my address, they promptly sent my phone to my home in Germany. Such reliability and customer care are rare to find. I’m very grateful for their service and kindness. I highly recommend them!
Seckin Y — Google review
Very pretty pastry shop. Everything looks so good. We tried some & they are all good. Pricy, but not too bad. One negative is there are only 3 tiny bar tables crammed in a corner, so better for take-away.
Frank H — Google review
bought the traditional kougelhoph for high tea. Not to my liking as i find it too dried.

Apricot tartlet. It’s all I ever want. They mostly look beautiful these fruity tartlets .. they often look better than they taste… not here.. this apricot tartlet was exquisite.. the pastry case, the filling, the fruit, the glaze. And served by lovely people. If you only do one thing in Strasbourg…..

Café Bretelles - Petite France is a trendy and compact café known for its artisan coffees, breakfast, lunch specials, and house-made cakes. It has become a popular spot in Strasbourg since its opening in 2018. The café is frequented by locals and tourists alike, with two locations in Krutenau and the famous Petite France quarter. Café Bretelles offers a simple menu focused on authentic Alsatian cuisine using locally sourced ingredients with a sustainable approach.
A hidden gem right next to the Christmas markets, we managed to find a moment of peace away from the busy Christmas markets in this sweet cafe. We visited multiple times and had delicious tea, coffee and cake. The staff were really friendly and kind - would recommend!
Emily T — Google review
We've been there for our breakfast and we really enjoyed this nice little Café. The staff was really nice and friendly, the drinks and the croissants were good Nice way to start the day 😁
Raphael — Google review
A small hidden café in Petite France — such a cozy spot to start the day. Missed breakfast, but we ordered a pain au chocolat and a cheesecake with some really good coffee. The pace here feels totally different from the main street — slow and peaceful. We had such a relaxing time. Highly recommend!
Achino N — Google review
Stellar! Went with a friend today, and had a roasted chestnut latte... and their version of a twix bar... all divine. Live in the neighborhood and cant wait to revisit soon
Alison E — Google review
Loved the first Café Bretelles. Years later we came to Strasbourg again, so the second one was a pleasant surprise. It’s right next to the Petite France, so we started our tour here with a small brunch. Coffee was expectedly fantastic and so was our brunch (sadly eggs Benedict are served only on weekends). I like the building. It’s small, but there are more floors and even a garden in the street. People come to work here on their laptops, which is a plague for modern cafes, but at least they are not allowed on weekends.
Štěpánka K — Google review
This cafe is amazing!! Our first good impression was the kindness of the staff here! They are all so lovely and nice. The atmosphere and overall style of the cafe is really beautiful and cozy ✨ Then our food was served and we were blown away! The breakfast contale was really nice and the cheesecake had stunned us! It really was the best cheesecake we ever had. Definitely recommend coming here!!

One of the best coffee shop with a micro brewery. Very good cheese cake. Many local people come to work so that this is a good place for nomad. Valued coffee. Good place for brunch. Very good lunch as well.

Nestled along the picturesque Quai des Bateliers, Coffee Stub is a charming café that has become a beloved spot for both locals and visitors in Strasbourg. With its sun-drenched bay windows and inviting atmosphere, this cozy haven is perfect for coffee enthusiasts seeking tranquility or those looking to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The friendly owner Arnaud and his dedicated team create an ambiance that encourages relaxation, making it an ideal place to unwind with a quality cup of coffee or indulge in delightful pastries.
Delicious coffee. I ordered a Cortado and also something else to eat. Very good. Great space and I came here to do some work and take a call.
Andrew C — Google review
We recently stayed in Strasbourg for a few nights and enjoyed an early morning stop at Coffee Stub along Quai des Pêcheurs. They have a small indoor seating area. You can do take-away as well. Opening hours are 8am to 6pm (weekdays) and 9am to 6pm (weekends). Menu features a selection of simple breakfast orders, desserts, coffees and non-coffee drinks. During our visit we were served a good carrot cake and vegan granola. Americano and Espresso Macchiato were both pretty good as well. Service very friendly, prices reasonable, and overall good vibes in this coffee shop. Would gladly stop here again during future visits to Strasbourg.

Amazing food! Highlights: soft baguette, great salad dressing, really good coffee!
Diyora N — Google review
We were located in close proximity to the place so in out 4 day visit we had breakfast 2 times here. Both times great great service (big thanks guys), amazing coffee and a lot of options for us and kids to eat for fair price 😍. One thing we didn't appricaited was that second time eggs were served to the kids with peper, which they could not eat without offer from the staff how to solve the situation 🤷‍♂️ Overall we really enjoyed our stay, thanks again ♥️ hope to visit next time as well...

Such a lovely Café! Best coffee I had in Strasbourg and several vegan pastries, very delicious! Also recommend the Raspberry Tonic, I believe it was called!

Nestled in the heart of Strasbourg on rue du Fosse-des-Tanneurs, What the Cake is a delightful bakery that specializes in gluten-free treats. This cozy tea room offers an array of homemade pastries, including mouthwatering cheesecakes, rich carrot cakes, decadent brownies, and scrumptious cookies. Perfect for a quick lunch or an indulgent afternoon snack with family and friends, the inviting atmosphere combines trendy decor with a nostalgic charm reminiscent of childhood days spent at grandma's house.
As an American, I was so impressed how the chef took very quintessential American desserts and put a delightful French touch to make them even better. The chocolate peanut butter cake is divine and so wonderfully rich! Carrot cake is firm but not overly sweet like most tend to make them. Will come back to try the others! Cozy little place with quirky nostalgic decor! Beware of their opening hours/days though.
Wendy L — Google review
The place is very nice and has delicious cakes. I tried a cappuccino with a cheesecake and blueberries, very good👍🏻😋. I recommend it for that coffee moment. everything cost 9 euros..
IBZ _ — Google review
The service was nice. It’s unfortunate that we don’t have alternative to the cakes in the city. What the cake is the main option among very little. Their cakes are okay but nothing special and the portions are pretty small. Some things are obviously freshly made but some have been sitting there. The coffees were nice, pretty classic. Important point: they’re pretty serious about the no laptop rule. So don’t you even dare to think of trying to work on your laptop or ask for the wifi password. It’s forbidden all days of the week, all hours. I felt uncomfortable with the amount of times they plastered this rule inside of the cafe. I don’t think I’ll be returning here. I really hope there’ll be a new cake shop alternative in the city soon.
Drafac Z — Google review
Warm, charming, delightful. The music perfectly matched the old-school decor, featuring alternative hits from the 90s – an ideal nostalgic backdrop for a 40+ gal's birthday. The cakes were incredibly sweet, evoking a comforting sense of home.
Myroessa M — Google review
Super cute cafe!! We sat on the second floor and it felt quite magical. The cafe is decorated with various plants, flowers, paintings and mirrors and it comes together to create a kind of cozy atmosphere. Lovely! The carrot cake was good but slightly dry. But still five stars for the overall feel and experience. Bring a friend or a book and go hang out here, totally worth it!
Sarah B — Google review
Two vegan cake options and both were delicious! Peanut butter cake was quite heavy but had an awesome real peanut taste and the cheesecake was really creamy with a note of citrus.
Sue — Google review
Beuatiful little Cafe near the city center! Special lunch menu between 12 and 14 pm with salads and wraps! But enough of that. The cupcakes and cakes are real bombs! Don't be fooled by their size! One piece is more than enough. The coffee is great and the ambiente cozy. It's like a mixture of primary school and grannie's home in the 60th!
Roman K — Google review
Lovely little place in Strasbourg for dessert or a small bite. The desserts are delicious and all gluten free. We tried the vanilla cheesecake and the chocolate peanut cake which were both sooooo goood 😍 heavenly even. Highly recommended!

Pâtisserie Tonton Gâteau is a charming tea room located at the entrance of Krutenau, featuring a pleasant indoor space and inviting outdoor terrace. The cafe offers an array of delectable pastries and a menu for breakfast, lunch, and Saturday brunch.
Had the pleasure of dining at Pâtisserie Tonton Gâteau TWICE. We were so impressed by our waitress (I believe her name was Lucille, could be wrong) and how wonderful the food was the first time that we had to stop by again before leaving Strasbourg. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

Very nice place like a garden. It is pretty girlish and cute patisserie. The cakes are very creative, colourful, and also good!
Cou C — Google review
Excellent and not overpriced. Really innovative flavours with the beautifully constructed cakes. Drinks were also pushing the boundaries and explored new flavours - highly recommend their pistachio espresso latte! On top of this, lovely service. Recommended!
Marcus L — Google review
First of all, slow service. I do not know why, but it took me a lot longer to get served than everyone else. Once I addressed the wait issue, I was finally served but now with dirty mug and saucer. Not a big deal, I just wiped it with a napkin, but not a good impression either. Desserts were okay. I personally liked Le Galet better than La Fraise. Much stronger flavor and tasted better with coffee. The strawberry one was kind of plain. Update: I sat down outside first. Saw the waitress passing me a couple of times, and there was no greeting or menu explanation. So I moved to inside and then sat down in a little sofa thing and the same thing. Then I stood next to the window seat because that's where I wanted to sit down, and that again took forever. I really do not know why, but the waitress(es) cleaned all the tables inside and outside, but not that one. That's when I walked back to the cash register and asked the cashier lady if I could order first because at that point, I was going to wait forever. I sat down at the uncleaned table, and they finally cleaned it. Other than this weird situation, everything else was okay.
S C — Google review
The desserts were incredibly beautiful and divine in taste. The waitress was very sweet and friendly. I'll definitely come again.
Marina D — Google review
Unique desserts, a lot to choose from. Even though the place was full, we got served quickly and the staff was very friendly to everyone.
リボダメガン — Google review
Delicious cakes and desserts 🍮 but my favourite is still the Alsatian cheese cake 🍰 not too sweet soft and creamy at the same time. Flat white coffee is the best with two shots of expresso and one milk. Very friendly barista
Rony W — Google review
I updated my review from 5 stars to 3 due to an unprofessional manager who prefers customers to leave rather than accommodate small requests. For instance, I tried to order a small item from the breakfast menu about 10 minutes after placing a large order for nearly all the pastries to try. However, I had to cancel the order because the manager chose to argue with me. It seems they believe bad experiences for customers are better for them. Anyway, they don’t seem to care, as the place is fully booked every time. They’ve forgotten how to treat customers and have lost sight of who built their reputation. In my opinion, Pâtisserie Tonton Gâteau is one of the best places for brunch, amazing coffee and heavenly baked stuff in Straßburg. The food menu isn't extensive, but the dishes are incredibly delicious. Their pastries, especially the Citron tarte, are heavenly! The croissants are crafted to perfection, with expertly layered dough. I adore this place and consider it one of the top spots in Straßburg! We were impressed, and would come again very soon!!

"Au Pain de Mon Grand Père" is a hidden gem that sets the standard for bakery delights. The raspberry tart is particularly outstanding, leaving visitors wishing they could take home a whole box without it spoiling. The cakes and tarts are truly unmatched. Despite its small setting, the bakery exudes a charming vibe, making it an ideal spot to grab some delicious snacks and desserts. Visitors often find themselves lucky enough to enjoy warm bread fresh from the oven.
Absolutely loved both pastries I got here! I ordered the strawberry croissant and the sable aux fruits. The sable aux fruits is probably the best pastry I’ve ever had - the cream was so good. I’ll be thinking about this place for years to come!

This is the best bakery in Strasbourg for me. Even we have the same shop on centre, this bakery is the best. You can get very warm quality baguette. Very local place and quiet. Friendly staffs.

This is one small hidden best confectionery and bakery one cannot miss. To me it's Micheline standard for bakery. Absolutely love the raspberry tart. How I wish I can buy a whole box of it and not worry it will spoilt back home. That's how good it is. It's unmatchable for its cakes and tarts. Totally 10 /10

This bakery in Strasberg, France is one of the best for good breakfast sandwiches 🥪 very fresh bread 🥖 & ingredients such as cheese 🧀 is very tasty 😋. Prices is very reasonable, always crowded & busy this is where delicious food you can find 👍👍👍
Sameeh F — Google review
This place have a long queue and people (locals) seemed to liked their breads. The store looks very homey, like the place your family buys bread/pastries to which is nice. But for tourists (like us), you better know what you should get or you’ll clog the line and the staff won’t liked it. Nonetheless, the bread and pastry we got here was nice.
Samantha S — Google review
Pain au chocolat a bit empty of chocolate and a 20 minute wait for a coffee. But the queue outside was very long: it must be one of the best places! Next time we’ll try something different. Wait to be impressed☀️💙

Nice bakery in the aspect and in the employees. Otherwise I suspect some pastries to be bought frozen… the taste in their bread is also not really up to what I would call good bread.

I’ve ordered cakes on a few occasions, and they’ve always been delicious! Most recently, I ordered mignardises for a baby shower and I could not be happier with how everything turned out. Service was quick and professional, and the quality of was perfect. They were also gorgeous, and added the perfect touch to the festivities. Thank you!

La Gare’mandise is a lovely boulangerie in Strasbourg. We really enjoyed their éclair, which had a nice balance of flavor, and the croissant au framboise was a pleasant surprise with its flaky texture and sweet raspberry filling. The pastries are clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients, and the variety on offer is impressive. While the shop can get a bit busy, the service is efficient, and the overall experience is enjoyable. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood!

This is my regular breakfast/brunch place as it's close by my hotel. So many sweet and savoury options to choose from. And the staff are so friendly and smiley. My favourite is the coppa et comte baguette 😋 I have to agree. The coffee is just awful.

ERITHAJ Chocolat is a must-visit chocolate shop and patisserie located on Brulee Street. Arnaud Stengel and Antoine Joly offer a delicate selection of pastries alongside an array of chocolates, many of which are made from cocoa beans sourced from Vietnam, providing a unique flavor profile. The shop also features seasonal chocolate figurines, making it an ideal place to find special souvenirs during holidays like Easter or Christmas.
MUST VISIT, In time we often search for that special extra, found it! The cacao beans you find in their wonderful products are basically from Vietnam. These give a completely different taste to the chocolate experience as we know. It's less sugary, now more cacao buttery. Complex to explain, the service is with joy and a smile. Couldn't be different if one is selling chocolate. I found my favourite chocolate brand and you probably will do too.
Alexander K — Google review
Like many others here, we happened to stumble upon this shop while wandering through the streets. What a find! We got the Esprit du Mékong ganache and we really regret not buying more. We didn’t buy much because we were headed to Switzerland next, but this was one of the best chocolates I’ve had in my life. Also love that the chocolates are direct trade. If I ever go back to Strasbourg, it will be to visit this little shop.

Very good chocholate. You can smell the quality once you enter the shop. It's a natural chocholate smell. They use few ingredients in their products and they taste as natural as possible. Best chocholate shop in Strasbourg.

This place was an AMAZING find. We just happened to notice it while exploring the city and our family needed both a break and a treat. The store smells amazing and the chocolate was so good - deep rich flavor but also incredibly accessible. The customer service was also friendly and helpful.
Matt N — Google review
You will find very nice chocolate (who knew right?) and chocolate related products in this small shop located off of the busy street. Most of the chocolate, or cocoa beans I should say, come(s) from Vietnam, which was quite a surprise for me since most of the cocoa beans are usually sourced from countries in Africa. They also make seasonal chocolate figurines so you will find nice souvenirs during i.e. Easter or Christmas.

This is a very nice Patisserie/pastries and it serves a very delicious desserts and drinks as well. There're two places to sit: inside and outside. Inside has elegant decorations and nice modern area to enjoy your orders. We were sitting outside and we have the famous Strasbourg cathedral near our location. The street is very busy and has a live happy atmosphere. Very nice Pastries!

Definitely a place I would return to on a next trip to Strasbourg. We tried a MontBlanc and a chocolate cake with raspberry, both accompanied by their respective coffee. DELICIOUS!! The person who attends very very attentive and with good service. The place inside despite being small is very beautiful. I loved it!!

I have been here to celebrate an exam. Excelent choice. I had a Cappuccino ( regular for France…) and an excelent cake. I recommend the place for the atmosphere!!!

Great tearoom in the first floor . Wonderful old spiral staircase. Perfect ambience in a otherwise overrun city . The patisserie was great.
Gerhard B — Google review
We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order and then another 40 minutes to receive 2 cappuccino and 2 cakes, but after all this time, the waitress came to us with the wrong order. No excuses were given, no answer when we asked for how long we will have to wait. Since we had scheduled other plans, we got up and left without anything after almost 1 hour of waiting. I would never recommend it!

Amazing ice-cream. Definitely one of the best so far. They have cone as well as stick. The strawberry yogurt and pistachio raspberry were delicious.

If you have already tried the best hot chocolate somewhere else, wait until you try it here.😋🍫☕ It's the "bestest," if there is a word like that in English.🤔😄📚 And the desserts are just awesome.🥳🍰🤩

Salon de Thé Grand'Rue is a charming and quirky spot tucked away in the heart of Grand Rue, Strasbourg. Its Alice in Wonderland-style ambiance makes it easy to miss, but those who seek it out are rewarded with a delightful brunch experience. The menu offers traditional breakfast options like fresh baguettes served with an array of house-made jams, including flavors like red fruits, pineapple, and mango.
Very nice and quaint stop for afternoon thee and cakes. Like most French restaurants it’s a bit tight and packed, but it compensates with the quality of the food. Since we were a large grouo they accommodated us upstairs which looks like and old house’s living room but was noticeably more comfortable and less loud. The cakes are very tasteful and filled with creme and meringue.

Very nice cozy and small patisserie. Nice the red decor all over the Tea Room . Cakes were outstanding.

Really good food and nice atmosphere. The cakes were especially good. We went early and were able to get a table for lunch and dessert. They don’t do reservations and by the time we left there was a long line outside.
D F — Google review
Nice place for lunch on a square. We ordered some local specialities. They were well served and we did not have room for dessert after them. Desserts looked good however.
SH — Google review
Not bad. Nice to sit down after a long walk. They have different kinds of cheesecake and I ordered the pistachio cheesecake with cherries. In terms of the flavor its a decent cake but I couldn’t taste much of any cheese flavor. Also the outer ‘crust’ of the cake is weird, tough and tasteless, but other part of the cake is good enough. It’s not very dense. The portion is big but it’s rather a light one. The jam is slightly too sour. The hot chocolate ginger was ok. Although it is powdered chocolate, the ginger taste is there. Good service.

The charming café invites you to savor your pastries on-site or take them away to enjoy later. Wonderful Patisserie serving a vast range of sweet and savoury treats. The tea room was a lovely, cosy environment with plenty of seating. Service was welcoming and attentive. All items consumed were delicious!!

This is a nice patisserie and tea room along Rue de l'Outre which has an indoor seating area as well as take-away service. You can view their fine dessert selections in the window before stepping in to make purchase decisions which staff will prepare and package for you. Opening hours are 8.30am to 6.30pm (closed on Sundays and Mondays). We did take-way from Patisserie Christian recently and quite enjoyed their pistachio and praline roll slices and a chocolate style tart back in our apartment. Everything tasted quite good, worthy or return visits to pick up more of their delicate and nice tasting desserts.

We were captivated by the beautifully decorated storefront in the Christmas theme after visiting the Strasbourg Christmas Market. Inside, the staff were friendly and gave excellent recommendations. We tried the chocolate mousse and hazelnut cake, which paired perfectly with coffee. The flavors were delightful, and the experience made our visit to Strasbourg even more special.

This is very famous, traditional patisserie in Strasbourg. They owner is changed recently but she also respects the tradition of Christian and it is always same as before. If you feel like a princess or high class European atmosphere, this is the place to come. I highly recommend their hot chocolate. Very rich and tasty. Many varieties of good quality hot chocolate.

I tried the local famous “Kougelhopf”! It is cone-shaped, decorated with snow-white powdered sugar, and added with nuts and raisins. So delicious and not too sweet!❤️ Also, the staff friendly introduced the patisseries for me and shared a tip about how to pick a well-baked bread…😆🤫🤩

One of the nice pastry shops in town; always fresh pastries in the morning and wide range of drinks. The service can be a bit improved, but overall is a great place to meet friends or do your work meetings while enjoying their pastries and drinks.

Things we liked: seating area, varieties of tea served, way of serving tea Things that could be better: osmanthus tea was less flavorful than I expected, signature triangle dessert (cake layers) were not as interesting as expected.

Best ice cream in a long time, not only in Strasbourg but beyond. Original flavors and generous scoop that will get you a light but cream and super flavorful ice cream. Hidden corner outside but always busy without having a crazy line. 1 scoop for €2.30 will get you an amazing ice cream, really recommended!

They were out of milk at a breakfast restaurant so… no latte, cappuccino, chai , or anything else that requires milk. When we order they only brought 3 sets of silverware, we were with 5 people. When we asked for 2 more sets they said they were out of forks and brought 2 knives and a spoon. It was an interesting experience to put it nicely.
Brianca B — Google review
The food looked good (we did not eat because we actually did not stay. We were 9 people including 3 children and 1 infant. The waiter decided to squeeze us on a single table that could fit max 6 people. We asked to split between 2 tables and the waiter said he has to fit in the maximum number of people so he can get more people in. I understand from a business perspective you want to fit in a lot of people so to make more money. However it should not be at the detriment of your customer’s experience. We actually sat down. However the seats were so squeezed that we could not even get near the table. So we decided to leave. Bottom line, you decided to ignore your client’s comfort and also did not care about quality of service. The impact: you lost 8 clients and maybe if you did care about your clients, I would be writing a different review today. Your food actually looked very good, but unfortunately your behaviour was not acceptable to us. I hope this will help you improve your quality of service.

It's a favorite among coffee lovers, cyclists, bearded individuals, and those who appreciate indie rock music. The cafe exudes warmth and comfort, making it an inviting space for students and freelancers to work while enjoying the free Wi-Fi and numerous power outlets. The staff are always smiling and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
Such a delicious cafe. I would definitely recommend the lunch deal. You get a toast, a hot drink and a cold drink. We got avocado toast which was 10/10, really good matcha where they also gave us honey for it on the side and a lemonade. Scones were also good and lukewarm. The service is really good. The workers are really nice and have a lot of patience.

Lovely cafe with lovely staff. Had the "eggs Benedict" which included a nice lemonade and a delicious cheesecake. The eggs were with smoked salmon, so not sure why they were not called "Eggs Royale" as it is common, but in any case it is my favourite variation anyway. It was a bit of a shame on both of our plates were a little undercooked (some runny white).
D K — Google review
Unfortunately my chai tea was mostly milk and was cold. I odered eggs benedict on a muffin and got eggs royale, but it tasted good and was served with a salad. They do a two drink deal, their home made still lemonade was very nice. It's a cafe where people like to work on their laptops (but they're not allowed on Saturdays). The wifi code is on your receipt.

Random visit on a rainy morning. Eggs Benedict with poached eggs were great, coffee is more on sour side, not my thing. Clean toilet which is a big plus. On the table or at least close by when eating i would welcome the salt and pepper shakers. Breakfast here - anytime ❤️

Very tourist friendly, awesome service and smiles all around. Worth every penny in a generally hostile France. The croissant and the tarte was delicious. Best experience in Strasbourg for sure.

The service was absolutely disgusting. I waited for 10 minutes without being served, though there were as many as three ladies by the counter. They seemed to be busy, then one of them started accepting my order but once I asked for first cake, she went away for a few minutes. Other ladies kept ignoring me. The first one returted and... began accepting an offer from another customer entered after me! I was standing by the counter as I was invisible. There were no obvious reasons of mistreating me, so I suppose they were just racists not serving me because of English used as my language.

We left disappointed and ripped off. Very poor quantity / quality / price ratio. Drinks and dishes were not replenished quickly. I don’t want to have to ask for a basic black coffee each time. Waited a long time for even guacamole and tortilla wraps - surely the basis of a Mexican brunch. Personally I didn’t want to eat mortadella or focaccia or French cheese. If brunch runs from 11-15h, then please at least ensure there is enough food for everyone at each service. Waste of money for €70 and my first and last time here.

Great place, we've been coming here before the change of name/owners. The bakery section has a good variety of very nice products, sweet and savoury. From mouthwatering cookies to visually stunning pastries, every creation from Pâtisserie Jaune Citron has that extra special touch.
This place is craaaazy good. I love pastries and desserts but I rarely indulge, yet this place caught my attention. We tried three different cakes and all three were absolutely wonderful. We first had the lemon cake which was so wonderfully intense. Had a super nice lemon flavor which just bursted in your mouth. So nice. Then we had the chocolate cake which was also quite intense, yet it was overshadowed by the winner which was the peanut variant. My gosh that was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had, absolutely insane how intense and flavorful it was. It’s worth driving to Strasbourg solely for this, super nice. Very nice service as well, we didn’t speak French and it was not a problem at all.

Very creative and fun Patisserie. There are some taste of Mediterranean (?) or foreign taste and well. As it is pretty small place for eat in, it may be easier to buy for takeaway. If you are lucky, you can find a place to stay and eat cakes and nice unique drinks.

This little pâtisserie has a very girly vibe. The shop is very small and tight, so finding a table is chaotic when it's crowded. Desserts were good, but I didn't find them special. Their signature, L'audacieux Citron, had very strong basil and lemon flavor, and I loved it.

This patisserie is an absolute gem. The ambiance is elegant, with a refined atmosphere that immediately draws you in. The desserts are visually stunning, each piece looks like a work of art. I tried the vanilla flan and the Tartelette Fraise Amande, and both were very good. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates beautifully crafted desserts and a classy setting.

Very cute interior and friendly/professional staff. There were lots of pastries, but most of them were similar to each other. Most of them were tarts with different topping and a lot of them were made with vanilla flavor cream. The yayu tart was good, but the pâte sucrée was not so fresh or crunch. The choux was too salty. I love sweet and salty flavor, but it was way too salty that I had to take a sip of my latte every time I took a bite. They make really good-looking desserts, so I think I'll try one more time when I see something interesting.

The chocolate croissants were delicious. They could have had a bit more chocolate, though. The coffee was smooth and tasty as well.

Absolutely the best pâtisserie I've ever tried in France! GC Pâtisserie offers a super cozy environment where you can relax and enjoy some of the highest quality pastries around. The owner is a welcoming and friendly lady who treats you like a real guest, and she’s even been awarded a special prize for bakers! I tried three adorable pastries: the ‘Entremet Vanille Fruits Rouges’, the ‘Choux Pistache’, and the ‘Cookie Pépite de Chocolat Pistache’. The 'Entremet Vanille Fruits Rouges' was fresh, soft, and not too sweet—my favorite! The ‘Choux Pistache’ was tasty, but the pistache caramel filling was a bit heavy for my taste. Unfortunately, the 'Cookie Pépite de Chocolat Pistache' was too sweet and salty for me. Despite that, this patisserie is definitely worth a visit. Don't miss her "Gâteau au Fraise" and "Tartelette Exotique" whenever you're in Strasbourg!
Kaushik M — Google review
I visited this place on a Saturday evening and they were sold out! I now really wanted to taste some of their work. Before leaving Strasbourg on Sunday, I visited here. Unfortunately, Sundays are only for takeaways! So I got a 100% pistachio choux and Entremet Vanille Fruits Rouges packed. The Vanilla fruit Entremet had a rich vanilla flavour with fruit filling inside, mostly berries I guess. The sourness sharply cut through the sweetness. But for me, the pistachio choux sealed it!! It was pure indulgence. The pistachio filling inside the choux pastry was slightly sweet and the outer one was nutty and buttery. I was blown away by the balance of this dish. So happy we stumbled upon this charming pastry shop! The tarts were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious — we especially loved the tart base, perfectly crisp and buttery. A lovely little gem in Strasbourg, hope to be back!
Travel G — Google review
All of these pastries looked adorable and I chose three of them. I quite liked the´entremet vanille fruits rouges’ as it tasted fresh, soft and not so sweet. The ´ choux pistache ‘ was also fairly tasty but the pistache caramel filling was a bit too heavy for me. For the ´cookie pépite de chocolat pistache’, it tasted too sweet and too salty for me… Overall, it is worthy to try this patisserie.

(Translated by Google) An American pastry workshop for €80 per person: you expect to practice... and no... you just watch! Oh miracle, we were allowed to butter a mold, add sugar, and decorate a cheesecake. A huge disappointment. The boss is only there at the beginning to validate the vouchers and at the end to cash in the kouglofs (offered during the workshop) and other pastries for sale. Shall we talk about the tasting? A ridiculous piece of cheesecake, a mouthful of brownie and cookie (overcooked, in fact, it was more shortbread than a real cookie). And some of what was produced during the class looks like it's ready to be sold the next day! It would have been at least reasonable to have one brownie and one cookie per person. But here, the cookie dough made is 750g! Not much for about twenty people... And when it came time to check out, when a participant asked if she could have a brownie square made during the workshop, he told her they were for sale! A disgrace! The only positive aspect of the afternoon was meeting a French pastry chef working in the United States. The highlight of the afternoon. Next time I'll go on YouTube, watch a video... it'll have the same effect and save me the trip and the backache! And with the €80, I'll buy enough to make cheesecakes, brownies, and cookies!

On arrival, our ordered logs were no longer available, for a so-called computer problem... We had to choose from what was left, no commercial gesture on the part of the store. For high-end (40 euros per log for 6 people) we are very far from the expected service. We won't come anymore. (Original) Très déçue de cette pâtisserie. Not a huge variety of desserts/pastries, but they are not just basic/plain classic desserts but are made with unique ingredients/herbs. I like both of the tarts. They both were delish, but the pâte sablé was too think, and it made it harder to enjoy the flavor of the fillings.

In the heart of Strasbourg, there's a charming café and tearoom called Ôjourd'hui that beckons locals and visitors alike. This delightful establishment is the brainchild of a Franco-Russian couple, offering an exquisite fusion of their culinary passions. From delectable pastries to sweet and savory brunch options, freshly squeezed juices to house-made iced teas, this place has it all.
This café in Strasbourg is an absolute gem! ☕️ With its bright and welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the moment. The desserts are nothing short of incredible—beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor🍪😩 The friendly and attentive staff added a wonderful personal touch💁‍♀️, making my trip to France even more memorable. A truly delightful experience!

This is a charming little patisserie with a great selection of pastries. I had the chance to try a strawberry-filled croissant for the first time, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and the interior design has a sophisticated touch. However, for those looking to work or sit for long periods, it might not be the best spot, as it tends to get busy.

I wanted to try everything because everything looked amazing! my favorite was the pecan bun, it was perfectly balanced, very tasty. the other items were also very good. i would also like to mention the very friendly girls behind the counter, thank you very much, they created a really warm atmosphere in an already wonderful cafe

I was traveling and came across this cafe when it had started raining heavily. Casually dropped by and ordered a hot chocolate, coffee, pain' au chocolat and almond croissant. Hot chocolate was like a warm hug on a rainy day. Pain' au chocolat was flaky with a luscious chocolate filling inside. I can never forget it's taste, it was that good. Almond croissant was the best I've had.
Sindhu G — Google review
The bakery looks professional and the pastries shiny. I tried the classic croissant. It’s dry. The surface is crunchy but inside no longer sweet and buttery. I think over-baked instead of from the day before. On another day I tried the pecan nut roll. It is more wet because I guess sugar syrup. Generally very sweet. Pecan nuts are nicely roasted but could be in larger quantity. The top nut cream was nice, taste like artisan praline. But too sweet for breakfast and too stuffy for a dessert. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Alsace doesn’t have good pastry bakeries which makes sense as people here don’t love it. They love bready stuff like Gugelhupf 😱 so this kind of shop is special and sells for high prices. Pain au chocolat 2.5 and the pecan roll for 4.5.

We had to wait more than 30 min to get inside but it totally worth it. We chose the brunch menu that includes a pastry, a sandwich (salty), juice and coffee for 17€. Best croissant I’ve ever had, love the atmosphere, the service, everything was perfect. Definitely coming back 😍

The bakery Au Pain De Mon Grand-père always makes sure to include variety into their breads and pastries, providing something for everyone. Their prices are fair, and the staff is friendly.
An very nice bakery. Stopped here on the way back from an exploratory run. We then returned for lunch, snack later on, and breakfast the following day. Sometimes there was a queue, but in general moved quickly and you never had to wait long. Food was also excellent — although it was noted that there can be some deviation in the produce (pain aux raisin was more dry from breakfast the following day than it was on the previous, but the opposite was noted for the pain au chocolat). Nevertheless this was true for only 2 out of the many purchases made.
Matteo P — Google review
We visited this bakery and ordered quite a few things , pizzas (or at least something that looked like pizza), filled baguettes with ham and cheese, with Feta and olives, croissants, and some sweet pastries plus coffee. Everything we tried was actually really tasty. We paid around 50 euros for everything. However, the experience was let down by the service. When we left, we realized that one of the items — Brezel was missing. So we went back inside to ask for it. It turned out it was still sitting behind the cashier, already packed, but they wouldn’t just hand it to us. Instead, they told us we had to wait in line again to get it. Honestly, mistakes happen and that’s totally fine. But making us queue again for something they forgot to give us felt rude and unprofessional! A simple apology and handing us the item would have made all the difference. So while the food was great, the service really took away from the overall experience

We walked past this place by surprise. It was a Saturday morning and many people are queuing to buy some breads. We joined the queue out of curiosity. The service team were friendly and fast in action. Less than 7 minutes, it is our turn. We had a fromage pretzel and kohelhopf with chocolate chips and a cappuccino. Total €7.xx. Delicious and perfect for breakfast. Highly recommend to try.

Everything was so good and with reasonable prices. My favorites were their sweet waffle and canele, simply delicious and I wish I had bought more! Excellent and prompt service.

I had similar experience as Claire C (but it was my first try). The woman put me on a side and made me wait until they finish with 7-10 people who were behind me. Moreover: - Many products are not fresh (from previous days) but they sell them without mentioning it. You can get fresh products for the same price and better taste around. - The service is horrible. You get the feeling that they don't want you to be there. I saw two Germans buying and the woman didn't even make the effort to look at them to understand them. Never again. About the quality and freshness, judge by yourself the photos

If you find yourself in Neudorf, make sure to stop by Boulangerie Pâtisserie Rémy BATT, a delightful local bakery that truly stands out. Known for its exceptional baguettes and mouthwatering pastries, this charming spot offers an impressive selection of both savory breads and sweet treats at unbeatable prices. During my recent visit, I indulged in their Trio-Chocolat, which was incredibly light and utterly delicious—definitely one of the best I've ever tasted!
We bought bread for breakfast for 2 days in a row here when we were in Strasbourg last Christmas. All of them were very fresh and so delicious. I could have their croissants everyday. I wish all local bakeries are like this one. Prices are very reasonable too. The staff were also very helpful and understanding even though I spoke no French aside from „Bonjour!“ and „Merci!“

I took Trio-Chocolat and i have to say that it is one of the best Trio-Chocolat i ever had. It was very very light to eat which makes it super enjoyable. Greatest bakery in Strasbourg! Great quality in everything we've tried e.g. baguette, kugelhopf, sandwich, raisin bread, croissants pain au Chocolat etc. We've also tried some desserts, they all had great ingredients. I suggest visiting as early as possible in the day. The later you visit the less choices you'll have as there are lots of customers.

A great little local bakery for both savoury breads and sweet pastries. Astounding value for money with the freshness and artisanal quality of the baked goods. My wife and I visited on one of our last days in Strasbourg, and we did our best to order a variety from the window. All in all we got a baguette traditionale, a custard pastry, a pack of madeleines, a croissant naturale, and a viennois pastry. First things first, the baguette was still warm at 10:00am, and smelt so good that the both of us just bit into it immediately after exiting the bakery, likely to the bewilderment of any locals around us. The crisp (but not hard) crust, as well as the soft but chewy interior was the stuff of dreams. The croissant was unfortunately cold, but remained flaky, buttery, and generally met our expectations for a croissant from France. Similarly for the custard pastry, though it was a little too sweet for our liking (although I do think that matches the local taste). The viennois was flavourful, with 4 distinct layers and a variety of textures, most from the noisettes (though again quite sweet). Finally, the pack of madeleines were a little disappointing as they were a little dry and not as buttery as some others we've tasted from around the place. But in generally still a great place to get your fix of fresh bread and pastries in Strasbourg!

The focaccia with Tomatoes was super good… like in Italy! We also liked the pastry… we tried the “Swiss” one. It had cream and chocolate inside
Vanessa — Google review
very friendly and nice staff, a bit expensive but i guess it's worth it - had a croissant, a pretzel and a cinnamon roll
Hojae L — Google review
Very nice baguette! The best we had in Strasbourg, really. And we tried many. This one had a slight tang from the natural yeast, a nice crisp and firm crust, and a moist and chewy crumb. And it tasted good the next morning. Wish we had found the place sooner so we could try more things.

Very nice bakery and pastry shop with a very nice selection of breads, pastries, tarts, cakes… prices are reasonable and service is very nice.

(Translated by Google) Somewhat disappointed, a very nice window with apparently appetizing products, a very good tomato and olive focaccia and the portion is generous for an affordable price. On the other hand, I apologize but being in the food business when I eat a chocolate bath with industrial spread for €2.50 knowing the cost price. I still expect to get value for my money, the same for the rosehip one, but this one is very good.

I trully don’t understand why the rating in google, we were 4 days in Strassbourg our hotel was right next to it and every single day at every hour there was line to get it. We had 2 days of 4 breakfast because absolutely everything was amazing. Definitely a must!!

Not sure why the reviews aren’t higher, but I honestly had a great experience at L’Atelier 116. The prices were reasonable, the service was fast and friendly, and it felt like there were plenty of staff to help. I enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back!

(Translated by Google) Disappointed by my experience: pastries and snacks not always fresh, despite the promise of fresh products. The welcome is not very pleasant and the atmosphere quite cold, which does not make you want to come back. Too bad, because with more transparency and better service, the establishment could really better showcase its expertise. For my part, I recommend moving on. (Original) Déçu par mon expérience : pâtisseries et snacking pas toujours du jour, malgré la promesse de produits frais. L’accueil est peu agréable et l’ambiance assez froide, ce qui ne donne pas envie de revenir. (Translated by Google) The bread is excellent!!! I also sometimes get a sandwich from them. The variety of sandwiches is a little limited but has the advantage of offering several types of bread. In the pastries section, the choice is narrower. In summary, a nice little bakery to be particularly recommended for its bread and which can also be of service. (Original) Le pain est excellent !!! Il m'arrive aussi de prendre chez eux un sandwich. La variété des sandwichs est un peu limité mais a l'intérêt de proposer plusieurs types de pain. Rayon viennoiserie, le choix est plus étroit. The bakery L'atelier 116 is a popular stop for locals, as the quality of their breads and pastries is superb. They offer outdoor seating in the summer and winter, making it a great spot to enjoy a picnic lunch or relax with a cup of tea.
There’s an incredible line in front of this bakery, but don’t worry – you won’t have to wait too long. I took the photos today (31.05.25). There were still so many delicious things left to try! We paid €16 for 2 coffees, 2 croissants, and a raisin syrup cake. Everything was super fresh and delicious. They also have amazing sandwiches – with cheese, salami, and more. I highly, highly recommend this place. It was perfect!

Super cute patisserie. I actually think the decor is one of the best in town. Lots of amazing pastry selections. In a popular and busy part of town. Walkable. Outdoor seating. It all looks fresh and delicious. There are many sweet items in the display case, along with savory sandwiches. So many choices! Looking forward to going back. I'm keeping it on my list of hot spots in Strasbourg.

Wonderful patisserie with various options. We ate eclair, macarons and pistachio tart, all of them were delicious. We will definetely visit again to taste sandwiches.

Such a lovely spot for breakfast in Strasbourg! 🥐 The croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery, the chocolate brioche soft and rich, and the lime-green macarons added a cheerful touch. The hot chocolate was creamy and comforting — one of the best I’ve had in France. The place feels cozy and welcoming, perfect for a slow morning or a sweet afternoon break. Highly recommend! ☕🍫
Melike T — Google review
It's a small and cute bakery. Yes, there's a line and people prefer takeaway. I chose croissant eclair and latte machiato. The coffee could have been better. The staff was friendly. Even though it was self-service, they carried my tray outside because I would have difficulty with the stroller. The latte was 4 euros, the eclair was 3 euros, and the brochette was 5 euros.

l'Atelier 116 is an absolute must when visiting strasbourg. the small bakery/ patisserie is charming and seduces with sugar-sweet jewels of the Alsatian art of baking. the staff is super-nice and friendly. for those who don't like it so sweet, delicious sandwiches with crispy bread are offered. we will definitely come back!
Silvan A — Google review
Big selection of pastries. Always overcrowded and with queues, but the staff is very fast, and very kind despite the crowd chaos. I can only salute their patience and kindness, the endless waves of customers seems exhausting. Everything we tried was delicious, except the black forest which we found a bit too alcoholic for our taste.

Best bakery we stumbled across!l while visiting Strasbourg. So many baked choices, including sandwiches and light breakfast items. The outdoor patio is dog friendly but very tight and cars do drive by very close. Delicious and prices are very reasonable 🥐☕️👍🏼
