The food was pretty good the options great too of the different types of seafood. The service was good too, the guy preparing was cool, cashier a little short with the friendliness. However the taste wasn’t worth the cost and quantity in my opinion. Glad I ate where one of my heroes ate at but that is where it ends. Once is enough.

Street vendor with a bunch of unique tostada such as ones with uni into the mix. Saw a video on this place by Anthony Bourdain, and it was close by the cruise port so it was a goal to try it out. The ceviche was my favorite! The shrimp was so plump and tasted so fresh. For a street vendor in Mexico, it seems kind of pricey, but I didn't have pesos so I was charged $40-$50 for 3 tostada, shrimp ceviche and two watermelon juices. Is that considered pricey. I'm not sure..... The portion sizes were decent.

There was a long waitlist (about 40min and we didn’t have the time for that as this was a few hour stop for our cruise). We were able to order to go and just ate outside. However when you do to go - they put everything on the side instead of inside the taco shell which was a little annoying since I was eating it right then. You can also get drinks to go. Strawberry marg 10/10 - they put taijin on the rim or something similar. Fish taco 8/10 Shrimp taco 10/10

We came here on a tour so I only was able to sample one tostada. It was a mixed seafood tostada, and was the best tostada I’ve ever had. Anthony Bourdain discovered this restaurant many years ago and was so enthusiastic about the owner that he sponsored her in a world taco competition which she won. After sampling one tostada now we know why. It is a must try experience in Ensenada.

My friends and I visited this spot during our port day in Ensenada, and it was the highlight of our trip. We were craving mariscos and had heard rave reviews about this street cart. Let me tell you—it did not disappoint. In fact, it far exceeded our expectations, serving the best ceviche tostadas we’ve ever tasted. At just $9 per tostada, they were generously loaded with incredibly fresh seafood and bold, vibrant flavors. It was so fresh, we even watched the clams being shucked right in front of us! My husband and I tried the (#2) cebiche de erizo con almeja, (#4) campechana, and (#6) almeja con pata de mula, and every bite was perfection. The condiments were impressive too. They had an lineup of hot sauces ranging from mild to fiery, along with saltines that paired beautifully with the spice and acidity of the seafood. We would have happily ordered more, but we were pacing ourselves for a food tour around town. Even my friend, who typically doesn’t enjoy ceviche, rated it a 10/10.

Mercado Negro offers delicious, authentic local seafood, and the quality of the food is undeniable. However, the experience was dampened by the constant barrage of food vendors aggressively trying to get us into their establishments. While I understand the competition, it became overwhelming and, at times, unpleasant. If you’re looking for great seafood and don’t mind the persistent sales pitches, it’s worth a visit—but be prepared for the pressure.

It was ok. Honestly, prices are too high for what you get. Tacos weren't bad but I won't return. Too many other places with more selection, variety, and drink options.

Ensenada is a fishing city and this is the heart of the fishing industry in the city. Vendor after vendor with wonderful fresh fish and seafood. Everyone is very helpful and it is a must see when visiting the Ensenada area.

This is a tourist attraction rather than a traditional seafood market used by locals. There aren't many fish inside, and the vendors inside don't seem very interested in selling. Instead, the nearby restaurant staff are more enthusiastic about drawing in customers, offering seafood processing services. We didn't eat here because it felt strange—there were hardly any people except tourists, so it didn't feel like an authentic local experience. Overall, this city gives off a vibe of being very tourist-oriented, with high prices on generic items and everyone trying hard to attract customers to their own shops. It just feels odd and lacks the authentic atmosphere you'd expect from a place frequented by locals.

Quality tacos worth the walk from the cruise port! Simple food done exceptionally well! We tried both the shrimp and the fish tacos, could not pick a winner! The toppings were fresh, the salsas were on point. I would literally come back just for these tacos! Employees were super friendly at this local joint!

You absolutely have to make the walk! Its well worth it and you need the excercise after cruising and eating all day so do it! We live in oregon where the seafood is fresh on the coast so our hopes were very high. We were not disappointed they were easily the best fish tacos my wife and I have ever had hands down. It was so fresh and perfectly fried, the condiment bar its awesome and the sauces are out of this world. I literally put every sauce and didnt regret it one bit. The flavors of them all together are out of this world and they didnt mind us having horrible spanish. It was just over $2 a taco i beileve and we bought 3 each and we were stuffed. This is supposedly the home of the Baja taco. We stopped in and tried a couple. We were warned ahead of time that the various salsa were quite hot. We opted for the chipotle cream. The fish was very mild with a thin coating. We felt that the Salsa overwhelmed the flavor of the fish. It has a small number of tables and many of us ate on our feet. The tacos were messy enough that that made it pretty messy to eat and keep clean.

Best fish tacos in Baja California, I highly recommend this place. They have a special to go. The service was fast and the people were so nice. There is limited seating don’t expect a restaurant just standing and enjoying the tacos is ok. You get to put all the toppings your self.

So far The Beat Fish Tocas I’ve ever had in Baja! I’d like to think there might be some better so I’ll keep searching. But I know exactly where to go as soon as we arrive in Ensanda! Keep up the amazing work of providing all of us with the best fish tacos!!! Y U M !!!

My wife, 6-year old daughter & I spent a long weekend here. Everything was fantastic! The location was flawless, everyone we encountered was kind & hospitable, and the restaurant was exceptional. We found that many of the staff spoke pretty decent English and were very forgiving with our limited Spanish. I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't leave San Diego for a weekend and come enjoy this beautiful location in Baja. P.S. If you're worried about "safety", there wasn't a single time we felt unsafe or uncomfortable, either on the hotel grounds, or in the surrounding areas of Ensenada.

Let me start with the positive. It's a beautiful space ( exterior)Restaurant food and service are a solid 5-star. EXCELLENT. Now the rooms, are very outdated and need a lot of repairs. From the furniture to the doors. It doesn't match the exterior mid-century vibe. The screen door fell off, and the bathroom was a bit dingy also the carpet a bit gross. It definitely doesn't match $$$ we were charged.

Guys I hate to write or say ill things about places that have great ratings all ready. But I need to be truthful. The reson I'm giving this place a 3 star and not a 5 is because of the service I received. The place a very, very elegant, beach view wonderful. The food was great, high quality. But the experience of the service was not there. The gentlemen whom serviced us was very dull, very dry, maybe he was just not having his best day. I feel bad about the whole thing because its not the cooks fault or the place or everyone else, it was just this unattractivenrss of our waiter. We didn't get asked, if our meal was okay, nor if we wanted anything else like others high end restaurants would do like "Villa Marina ". He didn't even ask if we wanted more to drink and we did, but never got the chance to because we didn't get asked. Sadly that is what happened. So, I would say come and check it out for yourselves and see if your experience would be better then mine. God bless everyone.

Best kept secret in Ensenada! The rooms are wonderful with an amazing view! The pool was great with lots of space for everyone to enjoy it! The staff at the front desk, the bar, the restaurant, and housekeeping are top-notch. I wish I could find this level of service in the US. The bar staff made sure that I had everything that I needed for my day at the pool. I ate at the restaurant twice during my stay and the food was very up scale! The ocean view from the restaurant was breathtaking!! This will definitely be a place that I visit several times in the future!!!

I have to say, this is an amazing location with a fantastic restaurant — definitely a highlight of our stay. That said, there's significant room for improvement in service and operations. When we arrived at the gate, the guard didn’t greet us properly or ask if we were guests. Instead of directing us to the restaurant or hotel, he just let us in without notifying the front desk. By the time we parked and got out (carrying two bags each), there was no welcome, no guidance, and the front desk had no idea we were arriving. With only 20 rooms in the entire property, you'd expect a more personalized experience. The front desk should at least be aware of who is checking in that day — especially when there were only two new reservations. The check-in process took 15 minutes, and it wasn’t until much later that the bellboy helped us with our bags — after they’d already been sitting there. The room itself was beautifully decorated, but unfortunately had some downsides: a strange odor, mosquitoes inside, a very loud and hard-to-use AC, and a TV that didn’t work. Another issue: I asked if we could have coffee sent to our room in the morning — we had a wedding to attend and limited time for breakfast. I was surprised to hear they don’t offer in-room coffee service, even at an extra charge. Breakfast doesn’t begin until 8 AM, which is not convenient for early schedules. At $280 USD per night, I expected better service and more attention to detail. With more thoughtful management and better guest experience, this place could easily become a world-class wellness destination. Right now, though, it feels like a missed opportunity. The restaurant, on the other hand, was outstanding. The food was excellent, albeit pricey — but you're also paying for the beautiful setting. Still, it was the best part of the stay. If you're looking for a peaceful night's sleep, this place might be one of the better options in the area — other hotels nearby are noisy. But be prepared for some service hiccups that don't quite match the high-end pricing.

Got a really nice massage and facial, was very satisfied with the spa service but was under the impression we could use the sauna and pool after our $500 massage. They unfortunately declined our request to use the pool where we wanted to order food etc. We only came because we were under the impression we could do both.

Stayed here for a week and a half around the Baja 1000 with the rest of the team. Super nice place, kept very clean. Pool and hot tub are well attended to. Only issue we had was putting the do-not-disturb sign on the door, yet still had someone come into our room to clean. That was interesting until we realized we had left out some cash in a couple areas and that was gone. Lesson there to lock everything up.

Oh my goodness! Visited Ensenada on our cruise 🚢…ended up 2 days in Ensenada due to hurricane so we got off the boat and walked down the marina past all the heckler restaurants and found this quaint gem of a restaurant The food was amazing and with drinks the bill was only $132 usd Sits at the top 5 meals I have ever ate! Service was spectacular as well

I had previously tried to go here because it was ranked #1 on TripAdvisor but unfit tú Arely it was closed. I’m glad I couldn’t go that time because I didn’t know that it is HIGHLY recommended to have a reservation. They have limited seating and are usually booked up. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We were a group of 8 so I got to try quite a few dishes. Each one very impressive and unique. They rely on the quality of the fish a lot and it really comes through, they also have some sauces which complement each dish perfectly. The burritos stood out for me specially. Highly recommend this place for good local cuisine.

The setting is right in front of the docks and very nice. I can tell this is a super popular place and once we were seated it took about an hour to be served. They were also out of fish which I had ordered but changed to garlic shrimp with pasta. The food was amazing

Off the Main Street by about. 1/2 block- 100% worth it- no one bothering you while you eat. The food is fantastic- authentic and full of flavor- I love heat and they actually gave me HOT salsa- holy cow it’s delicious!!! Our server was prompt? Attentive and checked in on us after we got our food- honestly 👌.

Excellent food and a local atmosphere. Authentic soft tacos at a good price. Indoor seating. After getting off our cruise and trying other tacos this place is the best we had in town and they did not try to rip us off or add extra charges to our bill so it is highly recommended.

This is regarding the wait staff only. I hear good things about the food. One of the waitresses had the neighborhood cat disappeared for no reason. Everyone loved the cat, I loved her, and I had paid to neuter her myself so she could stop having kittens endlessly and have a better life. I will never eat at this place knowing what kind of element works there.

If you don’t read Spanish you will have a tough time ordering exactly what you want. Their menu is only online and only in Spanish so one can’t use a translator app to translate it. It is an outdoor restaurant so dress for it. They serve only two wines (one red & one white). You can get on the next door wine shop and order from them if you want a bottle. Slightly above average food for one who Dines often. There was a pesky dog begging at our table. Their ribeye was good the rest of the items were just okay. After I posted this we (the four of us) decided to go elsewhere to get some more food at another restaurant.

This is a really nice spot. Came here for dinner with my gf and had a really nice evening together. The food was very flavorful. The music playing was on point and not annoying. The only thing I would add is adding a nice pond with lilipads and fish and turtles down on the lower level. The designer did a nice job of building the space around the multiple live trees.

Beautiful eatery in the heat of Ensenada with a brutalist/minimalist architecture vibe. The menu is divine and highly recommend the Risotto con Borrego and the Rib Eye con papas fritas. The cocktails are amazing, especially the Naked & Famous (Mezcal, Chartreuse, Aperol, Limon). The staff were phenomenal!

We tried the fish of the day. It was great, perfectly cooked, exquisite flavor and well balanced. Restaurant environment was great.

The hazelnut cappuccino was amazing. Their pastry, bread and treats are a huge temptation. Come early and you will find a seat if not just take you it to go and walk down the street. On the weekends is better if you come early for your bread and expect some waiting.

Nice place with friendly staff. We had a chi tea latte, panini breakfast sandwich, mocha latte and Chilaquiles were amazing!

Since the first time we found this place, we like to stop by to get their super yummy granola and delicious pastries. My favorite is the tiramisu, but I also like the fruit tarts. My hubby likes the cheesecake and the lemon tarts. If I get my cappuccino early in the morning, I like to get a croissant to pair it with. They did went a little heavy on the crust this time, but the flavor was very good.

The best aroma when you walk in. I had to try a chocolate muffin based on me asking what was the best. I was enjoying it so much, I forgot to get a photo. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I am DELIGHTED to find a place that serves real greens! Spinach salad for the "verduras" side salad that is usually iceberg lettuce in other places. And it was so good. The veggie panini was amazing, too! I couldn't believe they used steamed greens in it! Sooo delicious! Portions weren't huge, and it was on the more expensive side, but 100% worth it for the quality ingredients and healthy-deliciousness!

I had just returned to Ensenada from Europe and was missing that wonderful bread there. I went to Hogaza Hogaza with that in mind and got an Excellent Baguette as good if not better than those I had in Paris and the Sourdough is also great. One added plus was I come looking for Focaccia and they also had that. It's what they use to make sandwiches. 3 locations and the best bakery in Ensenada

The best tiramisu in town!!!!!! A must visit just for this. We are one there and had to buy another one to go since it was that good! Tiramisu is super moist and the lady finger is so soft and yummy. I would come back here just for the tiramisu in a heartbeat.

Pedro from citytours highly recommended makukos. What an amazingly food especially the tostada especial was extremely delicious and the octopus was well cooked and overall all tacos and tostadas was delicious. Kudos to everyone involved and especially chef.

We love eating at Makuko's!!! Service is excellent, all the servers are attentive and not pushy. Now, the food, you can't get any better than this! Everything, absolutely everything we eat here is super fresh, big portions so come in with an empty belly. I really enjoyed this little restaurant open setting and pretty structure. And their bathrooms are kept clean.

I was on the princess cruise and took a long walk and passed by Makuko fish taco. I decided to try it out. The staff was friendly and guaranteed that the taco would be delicious. The fish was tasty and was not salty. Check out the photos .

Great place for fish tacos. The tacos are huge, one or two should be enough. I got 2 tacos and I was so full afterwards. The aguas frescas are great as well. They also have a variety of sauces and fresh toppings to add to your plate.

Literally everything our group had was SO GOOD. One of the workers translated in English for us and took our orders. Bathrooms were clean. We had a lot of fun sitting here and eating. I’d go back if given the chance!

This is a best spot for tacos. They have two that I know of in the area one as you come into the Ensenada area in El Sauzal and this one. This one is not as packed and I like the tables and chairs better than the other one. Always friendly.

I was staying in Mandalay Bay and wanted a margarita. This was the perfect place and David O was the perfect server for our first visit. The food was on point. The only thing is $70 for a pitcher was a little extreme. However I would go again. 👌🏽👌🏽

This is the place. Even on a Monday night the atmosphere was just what we were looking for. Live music, excellent service, beautiful crowd just there to enjoy themselves. Drinks were good, tried the famous margarita. Stop by, you won’t regret it.

This was a neat little bar that we came to for their margarita. They make it blended or on the rocks, but only have the original lime flavored one. It has a salt rim and was very tasty and a good drink to get before exploring more of the city. It's right next to a main road that has tons of shops and was a good place to walk arounf after delicious drinks.

Loved the margaritas and music! If you have peanut allergies be aware you dump peanut shells on the floor here.

Called to get information as I’ve been there before and loved the pools. But the lady wasn’t polite at all (she wasn’t very rude either) she just hang up on me and wasn’t giving me options. The hotel should have a day pass too. Every time I’ve been there I have loved it. I’m just reviewing for this time so it is in mind

Great hotel in every way! Ideal for a quick getaway. As a childless couple we would just like to recommend for the hotel to be more assertive on the rules on the pool area, specially on the jacuzzi, because kids below 12 years come and go as de please and the lifeguard is not always there. I hope that the hotel would give the rules to all people on the check in process.

Great place the rooms are dated but clean and they are massive. Was there for the week. The gym and facilities are really nice. But the pool has way too much chlorine.

I have stayed at Corral and Marina for now almost 18 years. Everything has been fine, but on this recent stay, I was very disappointed by the service, specifically the maintenance team. Upon my arrival, I tried to change the temperature of my room without success. I called the maintenance team, they reassured me they would adjust. I came back into the room later, and it was 25C!!! I called again, and was told, we are on our way. No one showed up. I want to the front desk to ask for assistance, only to be told, I will remind the maintenance team of your need. Stayed for 4 nights; couldn’t sleep…I will seriously reconsider staying here in the future.

We stayed in the Marina as we arrived via boat. Can’t say enough about how great our stay (1 Month) has been. Super friendly staff and a well kept facility. Tempting to stay longer…

Rooms where spacious, Jr. suite size. Well equipped for entertaining, if that what you had in mine. There was a lot of banging going on during the mid mornings. Sometimes it sounded like a construction dumpster being filled. The hardwood floors were noisey at times when the staff was preparing to do something, I don't know what.

Great place to stay overlooking the Marina! The Marina also has small boat rentals and hydrobikes to use. The food was great but you will pay the price. Overall great experience.

I had two tostadas with mixed seafood, both were fresh and great tasting. The cart gets busy and service therefore lacks. I’m sure it’s better during slower times, can get crowded and kinda hectic.

The food taste is off is like water with ketchup chewing big chunks of octopus, my wife tasted the green shrimp tostada and they need to clean the shrimp poop,lazy people.

Super friendly and helpful staff! Rooms could use some upgrading but were clean. Refrigerators and microwaves would be nice. Beach and ocean-front areas need more chairs. We were there at a very dead time, and it sometimes felt kind of abandoned. No jet ski rental during the week. Nice pool and jacuzzis.

Great property and service. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is they need to change out the shower heads and put in an elevator. But will stay here again. Also, enough already with the techno club music at the pool.

Beautiful private beach great pool, wake up early and see a ton of seals and other animals very private and secure. Super close to downtown and the buffadora and pai pai. The restaurant was good food very reasonably priced. Never left with a bill over $80 to feed 4 people . 10/10 would recommend

The stay at this place was amazing, the room we chose was the Mayan and it was right by the beach with a beautiful ocean view. The restaurant was maybe 100 ft away from us, the food was delicious and the service was great! The front desk was very helpful and check in was quick. The room was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable and it has AC/ heater. The stay was overall very worth it away from crowded spots and very quiet and peaceful

I went in person there to book a room with Octavio and luis they were so easy to deal with. They’re very nice and very helpful and that’s just checking in. I’ve been there for brunch. It’s excellent on Sunday but this will be my first time staying there but it’s not until June so I’ll be back to write in June, but so far so good.

Visiting Ensenada and saw this gem on TikTok and boy was I glad I came here. Tried the taco Ramses especial and that was very very good. Also tried the burrito marlin, marlin quesadilla, marlin empanadas and the taco de pescado chicharrón. Everything was very good as well as the salsas. The decor of the place was very cool and rustic and the customer service was excellent. Would definitely come back again if I’m ever in Ensenada.

The best tacos I've ever had in my life!!! If you don't speak Spanish and are too touristy, this won't be the place for you. Kind people, humble setting, but the food was unbelievable. I'm very glad I dragged my cousin along away from touristy areas to eat here. I'm not sure how it would go if you don't speak Spanish. I'm bilingual, so I ordered for both of us.

You walk in and you go up to the food counter to order.  I ordered the Marlin Taco, Fish Taco, Tuna Burrito and Consume.  It was a TON of food, I really really liked the Fish Taco tho.  On the side of the ordering counter you have a salsa bar.  I put the Chipotle sauce but it was super super spicy for me and I put way too much.  I really liked the Tuna burrito though.  After eating there is a cashier who collects the payment based on everything you ate. Overall it was a great start to the day but we ate way too much food, I was stuffed afterwards.

These tacos are famous. Like seriously featured in all YouTube videos about Ensenada, commented about, super hyped. I liked the efficient service, the clean clear containers, handing money through a plastic bag, and very generous servings of salsa, shredded lettuce, cucumber and radishes, and the sauces I would never be brave enough to try really looked delicious. The two "cremas" were mayonnaise and chipotle aioli. And, as for the fish, it was crispy, they have a very efficient technique for drying it at the border of the pan, and it was tasty. Was it tastier than El Johnny in Punta Banda? That would be a resounding "no". These folks are better organized and handled the long line very elegantly, though. Still a great experience!! I concur with the recommendations. Special mention to the staff.

It's a good place when you are in the area, the food is good as well and they have variety of options, from last time I have visited they reduced the portion sizes a little bit but still good. Please be aware that they do not take cards, is cash only and if you use dollars they will give you a low non-favorable exchange rate. I had the Marlyn tostada that day with shrimp on top. I rode my motorcycle 6 hours round trip across Baja to eat lunch at 240 and it was worth it. I'm staying in San Felípe and found 240 on Yelp so set my gps and couldn't be happier! If you're a foodie making a stop in Ensenada put this on your "must eat" list. There are a few other good restaurants in this building so it's a great stop and there's a parking lot. The cucumber agua Fresca was the best I've had and the 240 ceviche rates top 5 small plates of all time. Go!

Very good of street pizza to have as a night snack or after some drinks in the downtown area. The pros are the combination of flavors and NY style that never gets old The cons are that there is no bathroom, closed early for a night snack pizza and there is limited place to eat (you will sometimes eat in the street)

This is probably the best deal for pizza in Ensenada. You can take out or buy by the slice. The place is tiny, enough seating for a group of three, but the pizza is great, European style artisan oven thin crust and a very trendy atmosphere. Love going there.

Really didn't like the service, was visiting Ensenada with the family for the weekend. We were on the mood for pizza so by asking the locals we were directed to "La Stella Pizza" It's a small place buzzing with activity, so we thought it must be a good place. We went in ordered 2 pizzas, payed and were told to to wait about 25min. After 30min of waiting we went back to the counter to ask if the order was ready, told us to wait a bit longer because the were backed up with orders, waited a bit more a d went back to ask and that's when we we noticed the guy that took our order playing dumb. To make the story short our order came out when it should have, however they decided to give our order to a nightclub that had made a large order and turns out that it's a recurrent customer of theirs and the guys attitude was one of I don't care. In the end we ended waiting about 2hrs to get our order. Very bad service.

My wife and I were looking for a nice place to eat in a Monday and we found this place cause they were open, the funny thing here is or was that the first time we went in we were received by a very nice lady who took us to a table and told us that day they were opening lol yes we were attended by the owner herself the first day they were opening. Meh... pizza is just okay. Crust is just kind of tasteless. Sauce and toppings are trying hard to carry the pizza through to the finish line but it just isn't working. The seating and parking are limited in this area as well.

Pizza looked and tasted good, but I'm afraid the flour they are using is Not of quality, not Italian flour. Reason, when. I eat in Pasta Basta in Rosarito, I never have stomach noise people problems as I did for hours and hours. They must be using poor quality flour. We travel 40 weeks out of the year, and pepperoni pizza is my wife's favorite. This pizza is the closest thing to Naples, Italy you are going to get! The reason: they understand what real pizza dough is all about: flavor, size and texture. Aside from using sourdough and fresh ingredients, they got the temperature and technique down for all their offerings. It's a quaint location nestled in a closed-off street, easy for walking about.

"In Bocca al Lupo" is a very unique pizza restaurant. It's very well decorated and in a historic building. I honestly was amazed by the atmosphere. The pizza was made fresh and with fresh ingredients. When I was in Italy I ate at a few pizzerias that had this authentic taste but in Mexico to me was very unique to find. It's a little hard to find, the location on maps is the precise location. This is a hidden gem and highly recommend. Great Pizza enjoy.

Visited Friday evening, July 25 – Tacos Floresta is a gem! I had the cheese-filled jalapeño tacos and my husband had the fish tacos—both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and unforgettable. Honestly, I wish they had a location in my town! To top it off, there was a sweet lady providing live entertainment, adding even more charm to the experience. Eat like a local. Support local.

Small taco stand which is a block from tacos el fénix. I had the order of 5 fish tacos and just that little preparation they make for you before you add sauce makes this location way better than tacos el fénix in my opinion. The shrimp tacos had more flavor in the batter; unfortunately, my stomach could only hold so much since I could have probably gotten another 5. I would say check this place out, tacos el fénix is good but I think would go to this place instead.

Update for April 2023: Unfortunately I do not like the fish they are using. Sometimes you get a good piece and sometimes you get a bad one that was not trimmed good. The staff are still friendly and helpful but ultimately the food is what matters. ------------------------------------------ They still have good fish tacos. Friendly workers and good portion size most of the time. This is my second winter eating here and they are pretty consistent. I have had better tacos at other stands in the area but they are not as consistently good quality and portion size.

These tacos lived up to their reputation and became one of my regular stops in Ensenada. The shrimp tacos were my favorite. The mako shark is good but would prefer a different type of fish. The best part is the batter which has the right crisp and delicious flavors.

Our last Baja Fish taco experience was upon us and we had a list of three different taco stands from Taco Chronicles that we wanted to try in Ensenada. Since they are steps apart we planned to do them all in one night, 3 stands, 1 fish and 1 shrimp taco at each! Here’s how it went: Tacos Floresta: This stand had the best vibes but maybe it’s because a guitar busker was there, setting the scene with a mournfully beautiful mariachi song. Or maybe because we had a funny conversation with the locals about the range in heat on the salsa bar. There was also Jamaica (ruby red dried hibiscus juice) to refresh the palate with. I didn’t see the habanero/onion slaw that I love (in little amounts) but there was still a good amount of salsa bar and crema options.

This is a worth the detour if you want good tacos! Homemade tortillas, good salsa and the asada tacos are delicious! We did not try the tortas, but they looked so good and tasty!

This place is highly recommended by locals. My experience was on a Sunday morning, we arrived around 10 am, no patrons just waiters and grill personnel. Asked for service, the waitress giggled telling us that there were no tortillas lady in yet. I asked what other options did I have since they were any tortillas, she giggled again, the grill staff laughed and told us again “the lady that makes the tortillas hasn’t arrived”. Couldn’t tell if they were good tacos. I might think that they serve later, so I really don’t know why they open so early.

Some of the greatest tacos along the Pacific coast… El zarpazo combines top of the line ingredients to recreate what Mexican food is about… thin handmade tortillas, grilled soft steak, impressive adobada (pastor meat), avocado salsa, fresh red salsa (typical from Baja), etc… (the list goes on and on) to produce an exquisite taco experience. Have you ever heard of a steakhouse The grills are steaks in the morning and then put them in the refrigerator and then when they get orders they take them out warm them up either in the microwave or on the on the griddle and then serves it to the customer this place was very disappointing they do everything possible to cut corners and make their experience bad for the customers. My wife and I went in we ordered two ribeye steaks and when they brought them out they were about a quarter of an inch thick and so cold in the middle The baked potato was about 2 days old this whole thing cost us just short of a thousand pesos to ribeyes in two glasses of water that they charge 35 pesos for. I would not recommend this place to anybody take your money somewhere else because this place is not cheap and it's not good when you spend that much money on a piece of meat you don't want to leftover piece of meat that was cooked this morning or yesterday morning or who knows when. The surface service was pretty good and a parking was adequate but the food was just horrible and the waitress said that's just the way they do it is that way all the time I couldn't believe how honest she was with us she told us exactly what they were doing what a shame.

First and last time there! Horrible service I asked my server what was in the baked potato and I asked her specifically for just cheese and the meat only and also a quesadilla on the side. When my food came it was all wrong, my baked potato had everything I didnt want in it and to top it off they forgot my quesadilla. After the server got my order wrong they wanted to charge me again for remaking it when it was their mistake. I didn't even get to eat, I didn't want to have to pay twice which is what they were tryna make me do. Its ridiculous NEVER COMING BACK!!

Got the chance to participate in a cooking class here and it was so much fun! The staff are very friendly and they were detailed with all of the instructions. In the end the food was delicious. If you get the opportunity, I suggest ordering one of their drinks too! The paloma they make was refreshing

What's delicious and worth going back for are the Marlin tacos and their cockteles. I'm a regular for the Marlin tacos and the cocktel with shrimp and octopus. The tacos are ok. Most are not very flavorful and way too greasy. Also I'm not crazy about the execution on their surf and turf concept, it's not as tasty as it is pretty (most food here looks better than it tastes except Marlin tacos).

Very small little nook of a restaurant. Food is not typical of what you expect from a Japanese restaurant. No sushi but offers other items that were new to me. Menu is very small and limited which made choosing easier. The ramen noodle bowls were very filling and tasty. We also tried a few other dishes and will be back. They only have four tables and it was full when we got there. We had to wait a bit for a table but it was worth it. There was only the cook and the waitress so they were very busy. The chef looked like he was Japanese. Other reviews mention how authentic the food is and I have to admit it was not typical of what you expect. Also it was not easy to find. It's located in an outdoor shopping area with lots of little stores and cafes. Had to keep looking to find it but it was worth it.

Puerto Vallarta's CJrs has ocean views of cruise ships, yet I like the vibe at this locale better. Care needs to be taken for the bathroom(s), particularly under toilet seats. Gross. Not sanitized at all, evidenced by the layers of waste. Exterior trash canisters ignored, am crew.
