I LOVE this place!! Fantastic German restaurant and a great place to get unique deli meats, as well as European grocery items! The location is shutting down in September, however, I'm sure they will relocate. Hurry in and grab a delicious German Dish or dessert!! 🤤

This place doesn't disappoint. I always come here to get my ham hocks for ham bone soup. The prices are good and they have every type of meat you can think of. They also have bones for dogs which is a plus for our household. They also sell a wide variety of beers, German sweets and delicacies. They also have a restaurant which seems very popular although I've never personally tried it, I've heard good things.

The restaurant here is great, but it can take a long time to put in an order, and almost as long to get your order. So plan ahead. Everything I've ever eaten here has been delicious, carefully made, and well prepared, but it would be great if they came up with a more efficient order taking system. The shop is the best European market and meat shop in the region. It's a treat every time.

This place was recommended to me for breakfast and I’m glad I went but I wasn’t expecting to stand in a line to order my food and then take a number to my table. The cheese omelette and home fries were good, the coffee was good and you get up to pour your own including water and soda. The place was clean and pretty crowded for a Monday morning at 11:30. The food and coffee is cheap and worth standing in line but we did have to wait 20 minutes at the table and people that came after us were getting their food first. The groceries are pretty expensive and there are a lot of empty shelves, not sure why but it looks like they do most of their business on the restaurant side.

Nice market and restaurant. Go early and expect to get in line. Delicious food and very, very reasonable price. Our Czech guest was extremely impressed and satisfied with his dinner! Excellent beer! If you want some of their menu items at home, you can always buy and cook at home. We will visit again.

I was there it's last few weeks of operation @ last week of September 2024. Employees there indicated that they were hoping to re-open somewhere else but had not yet found a location. Basically that the landlord would not allow them to renew the lease If any of the powers that be from Tip Top are reading this, It'd be nice for you to comment here on the status or actuality of Tip Top ever re=opening. Awesome if it can re-open. And sadly if not THANK YOU all so much for a great memory of a awesomely fun local restaurant and deli that was definitely Tip Top! All the best! Tomco

It is an interesting place. It's a corner grocery store with wines and beers, plus a decent butcher shop, plus, surprisingly, an attached restaurant. Everything feels very German, including the menu, it was a delight to experience something outside the usual melting pot merchants. You enter the restaurant through the grocery store, the food is very affordable, and, despite looking like it would be better suited for an older crowd, was really quite tasty. Excellent quality, and in satiating quantity. It's so much not the usual type restaurant that would attract me as a customer but it won me over. It will be returning to taste all their other offerings.

Here on a packed house night, sat at the bar and ordered the fish tacos (most entries large enough to split). It was flaky, fresh fish, prepared perfectly on their homemade tortillas. Drinks are a little pricey but they were ok. Great service from bartender Ruby.

Friendly and very efficient service .Large restaurant with indoor or outdoor patio seating . We had a large group and the service was Very Good . Musician s playing Nice songs ,Fun and Happy Atmosphere. The Carne Asada and Shrimp plate was very good. The asada was tender and had good flavor, Shrimp was also good , could have used a couple of more shrimp. Black beans ,Rice , guacamole and choice of tortillas also came with plate . Very generous portions. The chile relleno plate was also very Good. We had a party of 15 and everyone was Very Satisfied with their Food Selections and Service .

On a Friday night with a group of 14 the service was absolutely amazing. Was checked in on quite often and gave plenty of chips and salsa! Food was actually delicious carnitas burrito was juicy and had a nice sear. Portions were big but not too big. Price to quality was very respectable. Overall I loved it and am excited to go back.

I hadn't been here in YEARS and it was just as amazing as ever. Amazing service, fast turnaround, and a beautiful atmosphere. I got the Especial de Flautas and subbed a side salad instead of beans, and even the salad dressing was SO good. It was fun to visit and I'll definitely be back!

This place met my Mexican husband’s requirements for a “good” Mexican restaurant but neither of us would give it 5 stars. There is something “off” about this place but it is in that part of Carlsbad where things exist in a “bubble.” (I say this with much affection…Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, which is not too far away, and its surrounding area is one of my favorite places ever). The portions are generous, the flavor is there for most everything (I especially liked a green chile tamale that I stole a bite of off my hubby’s plate)…the margaritas are exactly what you would expect from this type of place (good!). It’s a fun, colorful family friendly restaurant but it also feels like it’s trying too hard at moments. I ordered something that was on a side menu…it was on the “lighter” side: mango, avocado, grilled chicken…not at all a classic dish, it was satisfying though because I love anything mango or with avocado. Their desserts are great….the fried ice cream, churros, flan, tres leches, and mango mousse cake were all delicious. My dad always asks the musicians to play something when they come by. It’s not the best Mexican food for sure, but if you don’t eat a lot of homemade “authentic” Mexican food and you are not stuck in THAT bubble, you’ll probably love this place (my brother always gets the San German which looks amazing, carved out pineapple with shrimp and rice).

Visited from out of town and LOVE this place! We sat on the patio and it was beautiful! Food was delicious and service was great. Can’t wait to come back!

My experience at Casa Bandini is never bad, tonight it was so good, the service was very good and the burrito and black beans were wonderful and very tasty. The strawberry margarita was just right and Roy was a very pleasant server and prompt.

Since our arrival in San Diego I was looking forward to having an authentic California Burrito. My wife and I looked around and searched for a spot that looked promising and couldn’t have made a better choice than Senor Grubby’s. This place really blew us away, from the service to the atmosphere and most importantly the food. The Cali Burrito had amazing meat, well seasoned, tender and plentiful and the right amount of cilantro, pico, cheese, and most importantly fries. It didn’t disappoint. We decided to sit out back at the bar which was nice, very casual and cozy. Also, the TJ hot dog sounded interesting so we had to give it a try. It also was delicious.

We ate here at 11:30am, and from the taste of it the meat was yesterday's. Fish and the birria were both super dry, and in huge chunks that would fall out of the burritos. For a $20 burrito I'd expect better.

This is a must eat any time I’m in the area. Tacos are amazing, yummy margaritas, salsas are sooo good, complimentary pickled carrots and jalapeños are tasty. I always sit outside and watch the Padres.

Probably the only thing edible in Carlsbad village. Super cool staff. We've tried it twice on both our vacations this fall. Great food every time. Salsa bar is awesome. We even did door dash with them and food was still hot and delicious. My only qualm was we didn't recieve any utensils but it's probably something I should have requested on my end. Otherwise a killer spot for great burritos. Not a spot I'd go for drinks though. The bar can get backed up quickly and our first visit it took forever just to close out a tab for two cocktails. Burritos yes, cocktails I'd go elsewhere.

I was hosting a day after wedding party at my AirBNB in Vista and I reached out to Senor Grubby to have them deliver food for the party a week before the event. Natalie was very helpful and attentive and got the order down and promised it would be delivered fresh and on time. She followed up with me a couple of times from the original order and was flexible on the day of when I asked her to deliver and hour earlier. The food arrived on time, fresh ands hot, and was spectacular. All of my guests complimented the food and asked where I ordered from. It was a great experience from order to delivery to eating. I highly recommend them for their service, attention to detail and the quality of the food.

2nd time here. The memory was much better. Two Cadillac Margaritas, average in taste and power. We split a ceviche and the Tu Shea burrito, added large Guacamole. Total bill $100

Food is very good and flavorful, highly recommended. I got a TJ dog and chicken rolled tacos. The rolled tacos were excellent and much larger than I expected them to be. This place has a full bar but is family friendly.

Divine breakfast food! My friend suggested we try this popular restaurant down the street from her hotel while we were in town. There was a long line outside on a Thursday morning and it was moving pretty slow. They have a large menu selection and everything on it looks good. We were drooling standing in line to order and watching all the delicious looking dishes being delivered to the other customers at their tables. You order at the counter with the friendly staff and are given a number stand. Open seating and there is lots of it inside and outside. A popular item was their giant cinnamon buns and it was so good! Fluffy and not too sweet. I ordered the chilaquiles and it was good too though I wish the salsa was thicker. My tortilla chips were drowning and getting soggy. My friend who ordered the grilled cheese sandwich said it looked good but fell short. She claimed it was a bit too sweet. Another friend ordered the omelet and loved it. The pancake was fluffy and perfectly cooked.

Visited Cafe Topes for breakfast on a Friday morning, and it was a pleasant experience! The place wasn’t too crowded, which made for a relaxed vibe. I ordered the Crack’n Eggs, and they nailed it; eggs were perfectly over-easy, the potatoes were well-seasoned, and the crack was tender and cooked just right at medium. My wife got the Classic Benedict; one egg was spot-on, but the other was slightly off. The country ham was super thick and hearty, though we prefer thinner Canadian bacon. Still, it was good quality. The Bloody Mary was a miss for her, hard to pinpoint why, but maybe the wine-based vodka or lack of that rich, tomato-y kick we love. On the plus side, they handled my wife’s shellfish allergy with care, and she had no issues after the meal. Bathrooms were clean and nice, with two unisex options. The water setup was, let me say, different; the pipe looks like it comes from the roof, so jokingly, I felt like I was drinking roof water! It tasted fine, though, and seemed well-filtered. Overall, solid spot with great food we’d come back!

Stopped into Café Topes based off of the recommendation, and we were so happy that we stopped in. We started off with a dirty cinnamon bun and then moved on to lunch. Everything was very flavorful. We actually couldn’t even finish the three tacos. There was so much food.

Okay, so, this place was GOOD good. It was poppin', which is a great sign, but despite how busy it was, the service was super fast and totally on point. The food was positively sublime, with perfect runny eggs on my benedict and a side of fruit that was actually fruit you want to eat. The standard menu is already phenomenal, but the specials were also a fun surprise and sounded incredible. Basically, Cafe Topes knows what they are doing, and I am here for it. ❤️

Great breakfast spot, but get there early. If you do get there late and the line is growing, it is worth the wait. Quick service and friendly staff.

Order at the counter and find/wait for an open table. Dog friendly. Ordered the country fried steak, the 222, the chilaquiles, blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes, and the cinny roll. The food was amazing, I'll be back to try more.

Great pizza spot right near the 5 and close to the beach. Laid back atmosphere and nice patio. Great slice and drink combos. Fun, original, pizzas of the month and awesome beer and seltzer selections.

Everything was okay . I had high hopes and was sadly disappointed with the food. I think this place is more for the alcohol then the pizza. If you're here only for the vibes and alcohol then yes probably a 5 star place for environment. However, we aren't drinkers and wanted to try this place for the reviews. The pizza bread is good but the toppings were scarce (for $3 a topping). I couldn't taste the toppings at all. Just tasted like cheese. The ranch isnt made in house. Straight up hidden valley ranch, which if its your thing, you're good. I think its gross. ... in summary. It was fine. But I probably wouldn't come again 😕.

My family on have been to a few Pizza Ports from the central coast in Morro Bay to Carlsbad. It's a good place to eat with the kids as you travel the Pacific Coast. When we arrived on a Thursday evening it was extremely busy, we had to wait for a table to clear. We waited about 40 minutes for our pizzas to be ready. They have a huge selection of om tap beers some brewed there at the location including beers to go. They also have a small arcade for the kids to play while you wait for your pizza. Overall I enjoyed the memory however it did take a long time to get our order and it was very loud and chaotic in there in comparison to Morro Bay which is a much smaller coastal city. I even took a cool souvenir shirt. Despite the chaos I would do it again idk if my gf would.

It's basically a cafeteria style pizza place. Good beers on tap. Our first visit was about a month ago and pizza was decent. Our second visit over the Columbus day weekend was chaos and pizza wait times were over an hour. We opted for some apps and they were just meh. When you order fried Mac n Cheese bites at most places, you know you won't be dazzled and it's likely a frozen product. What you don't expect is the bites to be made with blue box 😆 just had to take a picture to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks. We made do with dipping veggies and these bites. Pizza Port is clearly Carlsbad's answer to feeding lots of visiting families with small children in the area. It's just ok.

Wonderful location! Very family and pet friendly, close to great shops downtown. This should be really obvious but based on some other comments that weren’t aware it should be noted that I t’s a very busy location due to their iconic status, take that into account on what lines/wait times can be during peak or tourist times. They cater to allergens as well and we’ve never had an adverse reaction.

This place was pretty busy which is a good sign. Showed up and ordered at the counter. The mac & cheese bites were undercooked and were just ok. The portzel was pretty good. Pizza came out and it was pretty good. If you sit outside make sure you're listening for your name to be called when your order is ready, otherwise it might sit there for a bit. Overall, this is a cool place to come for lunch on the weekend.

Pretty great pizza with a great selection-there’s something fro everyone on their menu! We got several pizzas and I think I liked the meat one the most. The chicken wasn’t the best quality, otherwise the Carlsbad would have been the best. Beer line is kind of long at times but they have lots of options! The upstairs patio is perfect for a beautiful night!

My family of 4 dined here on 7-20-2025 We were very fortunate to be served by Nelly ( I think that was her name, cute freckled faced sunkissed woman with a cool tattoo about "trying again tomorrow" on her arm) I ABSOLUTELY adore her upbeat personality and excellent service. Give that woman a raise!! Any way on to the food - I had the Fra Diavolo pizza, which was perfectly spicy. My daughter had a fettuccini alfredo with grilled chicken. Let me tell you about this alfredo... it was made the traditional way with fresh parm or perhaps grana padana cheese, over homemade pasta ...My gosh, so delish I wish I had a bowl in front of me right now!! My mom and brother shared a pepperoni pizza and they each had a watermelon salad that my mom who NEVER gushes about food...Gushed over!! The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful.. a feast to the eyes one might say. The restrooms were very clean and I love the way the dining room is decorated, however we sat on the patio to take advantage of the beautiful Carlsbad weather. My review would not be complete if I did not acknowledge the sweet man who assisted Nelly, the man who bussed our table was either Italian or spoke spanish based upon his accent, Oh how I wished I had asked his name ... what a kind and helpful soul!! I will definitely be returning to 264 Fresco on my next drive down from Las Vegas. ( Yes, I live in the hospitality capital of the U.S. so I KNOW excellent service when I see it!! )

The food there is amazing, the last two visits we had a very good time and the food was perfect! First visit we ordered the short rib pappardelle and lasagna and it was amazing! Yesterday my boyfriend ordered the short rib again because he loved! I tried something new ( ricotta gnocchi) and it was really good!

Beautiful Atmosphere, Great Drinks, and Outstanding Service 264 Fresco in Carlsbad is a beautiful, modern spot with a clean design and partial ocean views that elevate the whole experience. The second-floor outdoor seating is especially inviting perfect for a relaxed afternoon or evening. While the food is average and nothing particularly special, the cocktail and drink selection is excellent. What really stood out was the outstanding service our server was incredibly attentive and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal.

We came here on a weekday evening and the place was buzzing. The lower level is reserved seating and the upper level is seat yourself anywhere kind of seating. I didn't particularly like the upper level because it was really busy. We ended up sitting in a nice corner in the back. We had our privacy and liked the ambiance because it was bright. Our server was very kind. We are a little picky and she went along with it. We were here on Wed when a wine bottle is 50% off. We asked for a taste of a couple of whites before choosing the bottle and I'm glad that we did because we ended up choosing our safe option - the Sauvignon Blanc from Crowded House, NZ. The others that we tried (a viognier and a Sauvignon from California) were not good. The bottle was priced around $50 so we got a great deal! For food, we started with the spicy diavola pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy salami, evoo. The pizza was good. Thin crust, delicious, but not really spicy. It was pretty big - we got about 3 slices each. We ended up getting quite full but we wanted to try some of the entrees also. I got the chicken Marsala and my friend got the braised short rib. Both entrees were excellent. The short rib was a little too salty for me but my friend loved it. The meat fell off the bone very easily. The sauce was rich and the accompanying polenta and carrots were a good addition. The Marsala was one of the best I've had. Definitely on the side of more mushroom, which I love. The chicken was cooked well. The potatoes and veggies were cooked well too. Both portions were big and I ended up taking majority of the Marsala home. When eaten as leftovers the next day, it tasted delicious. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu. It came in a bowl that matches the tiramisu colors so initially we mistook the bowl for the dessert. The portion is huge. The tiramisu itself was ok. It had a lot of more cream than the ladyfingers or Expresso. It was a bit more sweet that I would've liked. All in all, this was a good experience. We definitely like this restaurant more than their sister restaurant Fresco Cocina because these guys have more food options. Pricing wise, it is comparable to a nicer restaurant in Carlsbad. There is a street parking all around the restaurant. We shall be back!

Great start at the front and excellent service throughout! The carpaccio was a great and tasty opener, and the pasta with meatballs was the definite highlight. The pizza was good, but too much plain dough with toppings mostly in the middle. Atmosphere was fine, but nothing memorable.

We eat a the roof top. Great place to get some drinks and a bite. Cocktails were super cute and food was pretty good. Came out super fast! Bonus the sunset was nice from there. A bit cold after sunset but there are heaters.

The food was excellent and the service was as impeccable. The view from the roof top is beautiful. I wish they had the eggplant parm in!!! But the SeaBass was amazing.

I was told this place was the best place to go to for fish. They claim of fame is the fish and chips, which I had. I’ll be honest with you, it wasn’t anything amazing. It kind of lacked flavor. That being said, it was perfectly cooked, crispy, golden, brown, Fish was delicate. The way it was prepared was done very well. It just didn’t have much flavor. Then again, most fish and chips don’t have a ton of flavor. I would definitely be back to try other food. Their clam chowder was very good and they have a great view as well.

If you find yourself in Carlsbad and looking for excellent fish tacos then there is no better place than the Harbor Fish Cafe. Not only is the food top notch and very delicious the service is exceptional. Food was delivered hot and fresh and I was treated with professionalism and terrific hospitality. As for the location and atmosphere all I can say is, absolutely spectacular. The Harbor Fish Cafe is absolutely fantastic.

I was amazed by their fish and chips. The fish was incredibly fresh, covered in a light and crispy batter, and the homemade sauce made every bite even better. Having it with their own beer was such a great match. Sitting outside with the sea breeze and the ocean view made the experience feel calm and special. The service was warm and quick, and I left already wanting to return. If you enjoy fresh seafood in a relaxed beachside setting, Harbor Fish Cafe is absolutely worth visiting.

My husband & I visited Carlsbad often but never had the chance to stop to eat here. I'm glad we finally did because it was delicious. We shared the fried zucchini and the 2 piece fish & chips. The batter was crispy and not doughy. The fries had an extra crisp texture, which made them even yummier because nobody likes soggy fries. The best part was that at no time did it ever taste greasy. The tartar was yummy, and I asked for extra! The staff was amazing. Super helpful, esp when we mentioned it was our first time. But they also checked in and were friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

This was a great place for lunch! They offered some good specials and the prices were very good for being next to the ocean. Their fish and chips were amazing and their burgers looked really good. We enjoyed this place. The servers were great. It is all covered open air seating and when you are done you can walk the walkway looking out at the ocean - how can you beat that!

Local institution for a reason. Fresh seafood for a reasonable price. Could not believe the amount of food in the fish & clam platter for $16.49. Unreal location, friendly folk, quick and delicious. Happy we stopped by. Wasn’t sure as we figured it would be overpriced and touristy but it is the opposite!

Have been to this location a few times and the food and service never disappoints. The Baja fish tacos are simple and yet delicious. Staff is always friendly. Parking is a little rough since there’s no lot and you have to park on the street. Park on the side of the road in front of the motel or wine store.

The fish and chips (cod) was delicious. Very light batter and the fish was soft and really good. The fish tacos were okay but not as good. The chips were great. Chowder was great. We all loved the oysters. The dozen we had were fantastic.

The best Mexican/Seafood dish I’ve ever had!! Loved their tortilla!! I had grilled Mahi Mahi plate with seaweed salad and brown rice, soooo good! I got a bite of fish burrito from my daughter, which was also delicious!! Plus, their pico de garo and guacamole were the best!! It’s a basic thing but is very important🥑🍅

Amazing fish curry, tacos & buritos all made with wild caught fish! Drove past it hundreds of times, never realizing there is sich great food here, but now i know

Clam chowder was really good! Tuna poke bowl also good but I only got one small sliver or avocado with it and I would’ve liked minimum half an avocado for the size of the bowl. Pink sauce was also pretty spicy but overall it was good.

Best fish and chips. Burrito was so good and fresh tasting. 5 stars. Can’t beat it.

This place is a national treasure! I had the fish tacos: delicious, generous (3!!!) and perfectly grilled. My husband loved his coconut curry. Ray is a nice guy and serves up a California classic in reasonably priced, cool place to chill out! It's worth finding this place... You won't be disappointed.

Coyote bar is known locally for the live music on the patio almost every night of the week. It is nice to see all the entertainment. The food is good, not great, but good. Beware, if you are there during live music, there are $ minimums you're spending per person. When the weather is nice, the patio is great for seating. But if you don't get there early, you won't get a seat. Service is very friendly, but typical of a bar setting. You will have to chase down drinks now and then. Overall, it is a very fun, energetic atmosphere with live music!

First Visit and it was great. Good Food, Good Service (thank you Phoebe)! Food portions are huge! Fresh and delicious. Fortunately arrived just before Happy Hour ended (5pm)…Tacos are huge and $3 ea! I ordered 2 Cajun Shrimp and 2 Steak (both were delicious). Too much food though (took 2 to go) because I also ordered the delicious Guacamole Stack—so yummy! Just too much food. Everything was fresh and prepared well. I sat on the Patio—which is Open Seating—you just walk in and grab any open table! Live music this eve (7/3/25) was excellent (The Platinum Vibe). Band on 6-10pm. People arrived at least by 4pm possibly earlier to grab their seats on the patio! I arrived 4:45 and only had 1 table left open. Of course some people leave and tables open up. It does get very crowded and dance floor is packed. It was fun though. There’s inside seating as well as a horseshoe bar and a few high top tables in front of the bar and alongside. Parking spots are extremely narrow—everyone parking on top of your vehicle—barely getting out of the vehicle doors! Beware! Aside from the parking, the only unpleasant thing was the surprise 5% Surcharge on my bill. Manager isn’t able to remove it. And showed me where it is stated on the bar menu, which actually shows 4% NOT 5% (see photo). Otherwise, great venue.

This restaurant would have 5 Stars if is wasn’t for the sneaky surcharge at the bottom of the bill. Should have told us before we ordered. The food was good and the drinks were cold. The atmosphere was pretty good, we ate inside because the live music was too loud. I guess that’s what the surcharge is for the band playing? Weird! Overall it was a good experience our server Hayden was good.

Actually had a really good time here Food was very enjoyable! Slightly pricey but can't complain live music and good food is hard to find! I recommend this place. Chicken quesadilla is great Steak Street tacos are on point!

I was there for taco Tuesday but was disappointed with the fish tacos. The fish was tough as if it had been in the freezer too long but fortunately the bartender (as I was sitting at the bar) didn’t charge me for them. However, this is a great place for drinks & listening to live music in Carlsbad CA. Outdoor patio seating with fire pits along with ample seating inside & at the bar.

Great night with all the friends! The Friends Band rocked the house. Great musicians. Loved the Cadillac margaritas. The bottles of wine were reasonably priced. The nachos were over-flowing and great for sharing. Too many great dinner options on the menu.

This place rocks! Great food, good service (although if they’re busy, it may take a while), and live music. Really good live music! If you’re ever in car by a village, you have to check this place out and enjoy a night of live music, drinks, and good food.

NAKED CAFE @ CARLSBAD My boyfriend raves about this place so many times, and I mean so much that he brought me here to try! We got seated fairly quickly on a sunday morning, and it was pretty busy, but they have tables inside and outside. We ended up getting lots of things, the Green Heart Quesadilla, Bacon & Avocado Toast, Strawberry Chocolate Chips Pancakes, and a large Hot Cocoa.I have no words, because this has fully turned me into a breakfast person, because I need this every day! Each dish was so delicious, I really enjoy the Bacon and Avocado toast, as it was smeared with this delicious pesto spread, and had potatoes on the side.The crunchy bacon was fantastic, and having the sweet strawberry chocolate chip pancakes were fantastic. I wish there was a bit more strawberry in the pancakes however. The hot cocoa is a MUST, if you're a fan, it's a huge cup that looks like it's over the top full, and with a large amount of whip cream, it just melts in your mouth. I also tried my boyfriend Green Heart Quesadilla and WOW, this was fantastic as well, also has that creamy pesto spread in it. Overall, we really enjoyed the environment, the waiter was kind, and the art around the store was pleasant to see of artists (the art is also for sale!) Parking is a massacre, it's a large complex with limited room, so l'd definitely recommend doing street parking or just be aware you might be waiting!

My son's eyebrows lifted perceptibly when I mentioned the name of the restaurant. All the servers, however, were fully clothed and the place was jumping! Despite that we were promptly seated. Mimosas hit the spot. He ordered the Chocolate Strawberry Pancakes (again) but his plate was soon naked, although with a maple syrup veneer. My wife ordered the Bacon Avacado Toast with extra crispy egg whites - which they sure delivered! I ordered the Green and Red Pagoda, a dish which featured a side salad. It felt healthy. Everything was delicious, and our server was cheerful and attentive despite having her hands full. A great healthy option for breakfast in Carlsbad; just don't expect THAT kind of show!

We enjoyed brunch at the Naked Cafe on a recent Sunday morning. We sat outside of the restaurant in a very pleasant setting, along with other people and their dogs. This is a very dog-friendly restaurant and they even have a doggie menu to go along with the people menu! We ordered the Artichoke Scramble and the Solstice Burrito, along with Moroccan mint tea and the mimosa flight. Everything that we ordered to eat in and take out was delicious, well-prepared, and served in a reasonable amount of time. The staff were friendly and attentive. The inside of the restaurant is relatively small, but well-decorated on the walls with beachy art and prints. Overall, the Naked Cafe is well worth a visit and they do a great job.

Always a great experience, I have never had a bad time. The coffee is great and the food is good. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I finish my plate every time.

Everything was delicious! Ordered the Moroccan mint green tea latte and hearty green heart quesadilla. They did not disappoint! 😉 and our server (Ashley ?) I think was her name. She had the tarts on her legs and she wears glasses - she was awesome! Super sweet and nice. She did a great job!! Thank you!

It’s a breakfast joint located in the heart of the village. It’s organic and tasty food. It’s good fresh food and many vegan options. The drink menu looks great too, try to mushroom latte. I think it’s a great cafe for Carlsbad where there is no amazing food.

We stopped into Swami’s in Carlsbad for brunch and had such a great experience! For food, we ordered the Chicken Teriyaki so good, tender, and flavorful. I also got the Buffalo Burger, but swapped the bacon for an extra egg, which was a perfect choice. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. On the drinks side, I tried the iced matcha latte with 2% milk light, refreshing, and just right. I also had a double dirty chai (hot), which was absolutely amazing, my boyfriend even said it tasted like it was made just for me. The bitter but had a slight sweetness to it, exactly how I like it. We sat outdoors since the weather here is so much nicer than back home in AZ and humid TX absolutely perfect for enjoying brunch. Service was quick and friendly, and our server even shared that the restaurant is named after a nearby meditation center, which was such a cool tidbit. The location is great too on a quiet street, just a short walk from the beach and the village center. Relaxed vibe, great food, and friendly service. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Multiple locations in North County for good reasons… fantastic food not limited to breakfast. I especially enjoy the breakfast croissant when I come. The açaí bowls are large and filled with fresh fruit. The staff is super friendly and it’s a casual atmosphere. Worth a visit if you want plenty of choices.

This is an amazing place, the service was the best part of the experience. Here I think everyone is a bilingual so that is a plus. The chilaquiles with chicken was really amazing dish. Very well done with a magic flavor I from Mexico and this is exactly that flavor over there. The waitress super cute and polite all the time putting attention at the table.

5 Stars all the way. What a perfect date night spot. Modern and refreshing, upscale American would what I’d call this cuisine. I was going to go for the Prime Rib dip, but opted for the Rib Eye Melt on sourdough with melted Swiss, red wine onions and mustard bacon sauce. Wow! Service was great as expected. I’d love to see a happy hour menu. Keep it up!

Jodi has that rare mix of professionalism, personality, and genuine warmth that turns a good night into a great one. Her cocktails are perfectly balanced, her timing is impeccable, and her energy sets the tone for the entire place. She remembers names, preferences, and always finds a way to make everyone feel welcome. It’s clear she takes pride in her craft and truly cares about her guests’ experience. Nick’s is lucky to have her — and so are we every time we stop by.

I have heard so many great things about this place. First I must bring up the parking situation. Carlsbad village the parking can be rough so come a little early especially if you have reservations. The ambiance is nice and the staff upon entering is very welcoming. I feel there is some for everyone on the menu especially if you bring little ones. The food is delicious and filling. Our waitress gets a 10 out 10 and everyone there is great. If you are looking for bougie but casual, this place is it. Definitely worth coming.

Two very traditional but different entrees. Our meatloaf a d potatoes was excellent. Great flavor, we were disappointed they could not make the meal gluten-free, there is no reason to add a wheat product to bind the meat. The veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection Our shrimp meal was overcooked and disappointing. Yes, the flavor was great, but the actual shrimp were TOUGH, check out that curl. Thankfully the heavy-poured drinks made up for the shrimp.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere, it wasn’t too loud where you actually could hold a conversation without leaning forward on or raising your voice which is always important to me. Anyway, the food was perfect, it was crisp fresh and exceptionally moist. I loved the margaritas, they were just right especially when they added some Grand Marnier to it. Our server Jake was very mindful to our needs he made sure we had just what we needed. I plan on being back here again soon. I highly recommend this place for good food, service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Excited to come back here and try some other dishes for dinner vs lunch. I got the Pizza Sandwich and it was good, I would get it again, I liked the small side of pickled carrots and cauliflower. Overall, the sandwich was filling and tasted great. I was definitely full after having it, and barely had room for the cheesecake. The cheesecake was not extremely rich, but rather light, which I did not expect. I usually do not get dessert, but I wanted to try it. Then my friend got the pizza and coffee cake. He mentioned he enjoyed it, especially the coffee cake.

I love this place food and decor. We have come some time to have breakfast and we really enjoy the food. Everything is good breakfast and pastries. They have a really nice patio and interior dinning area. Service definitely can improve, they might be under staff. They take a lot of time to clean the tables .

Great location with great ambiance. The build out is great and the textures and decor are well done. We visited for dinner which is table service. Breakfast and lunch are fast casual order at the counter. The hostess, bartenders, bussers were great. Extremely friendly and helpful. Our actual server seemed very spacey. The food was delicious. The lamb meatballs were delicious and the beans served underneath- heaven! The cake was just okay but nothing to rave about.

Very nice outdoor seating area. The salad was flavorful and with a lot of texture. Croissant sandwich is flaky looks beautiful. I'd prefer more flavor on it though. French toasted with whipped cheese was so nice, whipped cheese was so fluffy and creamy addition to the toast.

Love this place! Sat outside with my daughter and her dog. Food was really good.... Ordered pastas, salad, veggies, tiramisu, croissant, and coffee! The tiramisu and coffee were my favorite. Everyone there was so friendly. We will return.

We came here for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and how great the service was. Colleen took such great care of us. Lamb meatballs were a little tough but came on top of beans which I thought were potatoes.. The Mafaldine pasta (add chicken) was delicious. The woodfire cabbage was recommended and we're so happy because it was one of the best things we are Also got a kids pepperoni pizza which was more than enough for the little one. And they brought out a little birthday cake as it was my birthday. Shootout to one of the managers who was super kind to our little one! Can't wait to go back and try more food!

Came for happy hour which featured $6 drafts and $10 appetizers. Ordered wings and asada fries for the appetizers. We had ordered another appetizer which never came, so we had that taken off the bill at the end (no worries). Also got a Food Truck Burger and a Birria Beef Dip. Burger was okay, but it got soggy fast. Beef Dip was awesome. The Asada Fries were very good, as were the wings. And of course, the beer is always the shining star. Service was great. We sat on the "back" patio (there is a front patio as well, less shaded). We really like the vibe of this restaurant. It's a safe bet whenever you need a quick happy hour spot. Definitely worth checking out. Oh, sign up for Club Karl and get a free appetizer on your next visit.

So many choices for all palettes. Definitely worth paying the couple dollars extra to keep the mug 🤩 Food was also good just wish they had kid menus or the coloring menus for kids. Especially since they are so close to Legoland and we saw so many kids, it would make sense. But overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Nice place. Sat on the patio to enjoy the weather. Service was a bit slow at first but improved while we were there. Server was super friendly and personable. Food was awesome. And the prices were more than fair. Birria french dip was amazing and the sausage plate was so good. Tried a sausage plate at another place and there was no comparison. Beer was great too and a good selection on top of it. Highly recommend.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The fish-n-chips, mac n cheese, and fries were so good. The guava hard kombucha was really good. The outside seating in the back by the bar is really nice with the plants.

This location has a pub vibe rather than the outdoor brewery vibe. We were seated immediately. Our server was nice. We ordered the fried shrimp, the piggy bank Mac and cheese, the pork chops. For drinks, I got the Chai me a River as a trial and I loved it so now that's what I have at every Karl Strauss. The food was good. Their Mac and cheese is quite well-known and rightfully so - creamy, cheesy and melts in the mouth. The bacon, ham and sausage were great additions to the palate. The fried shrimp was fantastic! The spicy mayo with it gave a lot of depth to the shrimp itself. The pork chops were also great but the star of that dish was the firecracker/spicy mustard sauce. Absolutely delicious and if I could just get that sauce to add to all my food, I would. You can sit for as long as you want, no questions asked. The pricing is on par with the other KS locations. They have a parking lot and street parking in the area.

I haven’t been here in a long time. It’s still packed and loud. For a quick lunch it was fine . They did have vegan and gluten free options. Portions were fine. Prices were decent . Maybe if I were into beer I would have been more enamored with it all or just drunk.

I recently visited this In-N-Out location and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. My group ordered three fries, a Double-Double cheeseburger, and a 3x3 burger, and everything met my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, greeting us warmly and getting the order ready quickly despite the restaurant being busy. The food was fresh and delicious. The fries were clearly cut fresh in-house and served piping hot, which really makes a difference compared to frozen fries you get elsewhere. the dining area and restrooms were clean. This visit reminded me exactly why In-N-Out has such a devoted following—when you combine genuinely friendly service, consistently fresh food, and exceptional cleanliness, you get a fast-food experience that's hard to beat. I highly recommend this location whether you're a longtime fan or trying In-N-Out for the first time!

Although the lines are always long it is worth the wait. The burgers are delicious and the fries are great when you order them well done The process for ordering and paying is especially rewarding in the drive through area which is my usual choice. Still the best prices of any fast food restaurant!!!

The food is always good 😊 we also got the animal fries. They first got us the regular one by mistake, then we asked for the animal fries. And they gave us the regular one for free. You need to eat the burgers right away, otherwise the burger got cold and the texture is getting worse.

It is always a good idea to get a good classic burger after a long day of fun adventures. As always in In-N-Out style, they have great service of efficiency, quality, and reliability.

The only fast food place I will eat at is In-N-Out. Burgers and shakes are good but I really love the consistently warm and friendly service. I’m collecting their T-shirts.

I know In-N-Out doesn’t need my five-star review, but here it is anyway. Every time I’m in California—or anywhere that has an In-N-Out—I make it a point to stop. Hands down, it’s the best burger in the country, especially for the price. A Double-Double, fries, and a shake for under $13? Unbeatable. What really impresses me is the consistency. No matter which location I visit, the quality and service are always on point. I travel all over the country for work and get to try a lot of places, but In-N-Out remains a favorite. I just wish you’d open in Florida so my family could enjoy it too. Huge fan.

This market is quite an experience. If you are in the area, you must check it out. The selection, presentation, and the quality is worth the trip. They have an extensive selection of high quality produce, wines, steaks, seafood, deli meats, salads, cheeses, craft beers, bottled water, baked goods, fresh ready to cook meals, and then there's the Cardiff "Crack" (the best marinated tri tip you will ever have). There is too much to list. You have to go for yourself.

I was picking up a catering order (for another friend) for a baby shower. The Tri-Tip sandwiches were incredible—so good. Saturday morning, around 10:30, the parking lot (small & tight) was full, as was the store. The service was quick & they were helpful when I asked some questions. I'm not local, but quickly understood why the food & store were so busy & popular. What a fantastic gem.

I have traveled to over 50 countries, and I can confidently say that this is the best grocery store in the world. Where do even begin, first the selection of the food in the deli is absolutely incredible. Everything is so fresh, and walnut cheap, it is priced adequately for California. First, we ordered the tri-tip crack, brisket burrito, and it was easily the best brisket burrito I’ve ever had in my entire life. All the ingredients were fresh, delicious, but the tri-tip steak was a work of art. I don’t think I have ever had such tender, melts in your mouth, buttery, beef, ever in a burrito. If I lived here, I would order the burrito, every single week. After that, we still were hungry, so we decided to try the grilled tuna sandwich from the outside barbecue truck, and wow, for a pretty fair price, we had an absolutely delicious, tender, and flavorful piece of tuna, on top of arugula, and a very fluffy and big brioche bun, with some fresh cut tomatoes. This thing was a work of our art, and was an absolute delight to eat.after that, we wanted around the store and bought some cool snacks and bake items, because it selection is truly out of control. I love this place so much and can’t wait to come back, and just because it’s a grocery store, you should definitely pay a visit

Toms of pastries when you first enter. Also excellent meats including the Cardiff crack tie tip sandwich that you. A get from outside tent. They have a really good cut mango in a large container - mango is crisp, crunchy and comes with taijin. Good beach snack!

Great experience. Normally there is a wait to get a seat, but not today. We ordered the Chilaquiles, 2 egg breakfast, chicken biscuits and gravy, Salted Brown Sugar Bliss. Wasn't a fan of the Chilaquiles, although normally that's my go to at restaurants. Loved the Chicken biscuits and gravy. The salted brown sugar Bliss was wonderful and I would order it again.

Steak and eggs were really well priced for what you get and the quality. Coffee cake was also a great addition. Great coffee as well. Well worth a visit for breakfast if you feel like splurging occasionally

We hosted a bridal shower here and it was the perfect venue for our group. The staff was so helpful and the whole process was seamless. We rented the private room and it was set up so beautifully. I highly recommend getting the white table linens, greenery, and cake as well. Thank you for making our day extra special!

The food at Blum Kitchen was absolutely amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and made with care. You can really tell they put love into their dishes. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal!

The breakfast burrito was solid — one of the better ones I’ve had lately. The French toast, not so much… still soggy and undercooked. But the real letdown was the service. We sat forever before anyone brought water or coffee, and once our food arrived, it was radio silence. No check-in, no refills, no chance to ask for extra salsa. Meanwhile, half the staff looked like they were on a break at a family BBQ — just hanging out in groups, chatting it up while we sat there trying to flag someone down. Customer service clearly wasn’t on the menu.

Been here dozens of times. The food is delicious. Service is weak and mostly inattentive. They are a 5% service fee to every check for no reason and then calculate a recommended 20% tip on top of that. The staff has gotten too comfortable and don't pay attention to the needs of the Clients. Usually a local spot like this the more seasoned staff are the best but here it's reverse. The more seasoned staff gives you the most attitude and newcomers are the nicest. Every single time the fruit here is old and not fresh. They save it from the previous day and it's always soggy. Always. My kids stopped ordering the fruit. Having said all that, the food is noteworthy delicious. YMMV

Cute spot! Woah Dirty Chai Latte is AMAZING. I would come back just for that. Wasn’t the biggest fam of their homemade jam personally. Granola bowl was good, but wasn’t expecting all granola with a tiny side of yogurt, it was a little odd since you’re essentially just eating dry granola- still good though.

I have lived in the area for years and I have tried other pizza places but Knockout is a "KNOCKOUT". Please try their pizza and you will not be disappointed. I had 2 slices for $11 special plus the drink, ordering the Knockout slice and Spicy Buff Chicken Slice, AND pineapple cream soda on tap. The crust is slightly crunchy and the toppings are fresh and cooked perfectly. They sell white and red varieties with multiple options of each. Really chill vibe with excellent customer service.

Not exactly new York style more like California style, more bready the crusts. But it has a thin crisp bottom and was pretty good for a quick grab slice walking around Carlsbad. Pretty big slice too

Avoid this place. This review is for the food, not the service, which was fine. I ordered 4 boxes of 3 different types of pizza and got a good idea of the pizza here. They're charging $30 for a box of paper thin slices of pizza and they are definitely skimping on tomato sauce, pepperoni, and mozzarella. It is not crispy at all. Each bite feels like you're eating air. It's an atrocity that they're charging $30 dollars for a crappy box of the worst pizza of your life. This would not be an issue if they charged $2 for the box because even Little Ceasers is better than this. Also, the pizza LOOKS weird?? It's unappealing. My girlfriend's reaction to seeing the pizza was: "Uh, whats wrong with that pizza? Why does it look like a bad drawing of a pizza?" I myself couldn't describe it better than that. I can only add that it tastes what it looks like.

*Disappointed with the Service and Experience* I was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The customer service was poor both employees, a man and a woman, made us wait a long time without any communication. The woman appeared to notice us but continued laughing and ignored us instead of simply saying, “Please wait a moment.” When we finally received our order, the interaction felt rushed and rude. The pizza didn’t seem freshly made; it looked like it had been sitting out, which made the long wait even more confusing. Another issue was the cleanliness of the tables weren’t being cleaned after customers left. The staff seemed more focused on chatting and making pizzas than maintaining the dining area. Additionally, I couldn’t help but feel that we were being treated differently. I truly hope that wasn’t the case, but the behavior felt dismissive in a way that made us uncomfortable. I’m sharing this honestly in hopes that the service improves for future customers. Based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend it. :( 1/10

Best pizza everrrr!!! Been bringing the family here the past 3-4 years. Used to hit the Oceanside place, now it's Carlsbad. Everything we are in town this is our go too. Pizza is delicious, employees are friendly and place is clean. Come taste..you will not be disappointed.

When I lived in SD I always ate here, and now when I drive down from LA I always make a point to stop here on my way home. One of my favorite pizza joints in all of California!!!

Had lunch here today, and it was then expected. When I walked it i was greeted within a minute with a friendly smile and warm hello. I ordered a pepperoni, sausage, and bacon slice, and a "chef special" and a beer. The two slices were a good size for the price, and pretty filling. Flavor was solid, and was thin and crispy, and hot. If I was local this would likely be a regular spot for me.

Love this place. Been here for years and has a new owner with great staff and service. The chef really knows his craft.

OK everyone the 4.2 raring on this place is super unfair based on long ago service issues. For us it’s about chips, salsa and margaritas- all excellent! I had the margarita with grapefruit liqueur and soda. Omg delicious! We had the vegetarian spinach and cheese quesadilla and my husband had a shrimp taco and a carnitas taco - both excellent. Our server Miranda - excellent and a riot. The bathrooms clean with great Mexican tile. Highly recommend!! If you live in Vista, shockingly the desert of Mexican food, go there!! Really

Fun tequila bar a couple blocks from the beach. Stopped in for a tequila or two on the the way to dinner. Sat at the outdoor bar and got some terrific service from a gal who knows her stuff. Will try dinner there next time, looks pretty good!

We were on a vacation trip and decided to try this place based on the reviews and the fact that we were craving Mexican food. My wife had the cheese enchiladas and I had the carne asada casa burrito. Both were wonderful choices and probably the best Mexican food we have had in the past 20 years or so. The service was unremarkable but not too bad. The food more than made up for the lackluster service by being so flavorful and having good portions. This is definitely going on our list for future vacation trips in the area.

We came here for lunch. The special was chicken plate. It was delicious. One order feed 2.... 1/2 chicken with rice, beans and pico de gallo with guacamole and cream. Delicious. The salsa was really good too. We did not drink but it was only $22.00 because we order 3 extra tortillas. Unbelieveble good.

Came here for some cocktails, and was pleasantly surprised. They have a nice grouping of mezcal cocktails, which is my favorite liquor, they are yummy. I had the Lolita, santeria, kaleesi and a nectarine margarita, all super yummy. (The one with the tamarindo candy is the Santeria and my favorite) I also had 3 tacos, 1 vegetarian which had tempura battered avocado with a jicama slaw, cannot recommend enough and 2 carnitas tacos, also delicious. The staff are great and take care of you, outdoor seating has heating lamps and they clean each table as soon as a patron leaves. Definitely recommend, support local

We found this place just walking by, and decided to stop in to try one of the many tequilas. There are more than 100 tequilas, and what's especially unique is they offer half pours of several! We sat at the outside portion of the bar and service was prompt. Looking over a food menu, we saw that Barrio offers a dog menu, which we loved, so we decided to return for brunch the next morning. We brought our dog back for brunch, and were immediately won over by the chips and salsa. They are house/scratch made and sooo good! Our margarita and sangria were great also, and we were happy with the huevos rancheros and quesadilla. This place is pretty small and really cute, and we will definitely be back! Although we didn't get to try them on this visit, the happy hour specials and tequila tastings sound fantastic.

Great place for pizza. The owner was helpful and kind, even when working the multiple orders that came through. He was busy with DoorDash orders but made sure we got good service. Support small local businesses!

Ordered the 12" Mediterranean pizza. The menu said the pizza had roasted tomatoes, however, they forgot to put them on the pizza I ordered. That is a shame because it would have helped to cut this salt bomb that was overloaded with olives and feta cheese. It was so salty that I couldn't taste anything else.

Best chicken pizza I’ve ever had. Not greasy. Freshest tasting pizzas ever. 57 with tax for two pizzas is still quite a bit for two large pizzas, even if they are tasty.

So we tried this place and the pizzas are pretty small for the price. 2 pizzas that were soggy and cold and 1 mozzarella sticks (blend) $90. Hour and a half delivery btw. Then I really wanted it to be good. But nope. Sauce is blend. Mix stickers are blend. ZERO ITALIAN FLAVORS What In The world is going on? I own 2 fine dining restaurants and we offer a $55 3 course dinner with ocean views. But it is ok to pay $90 for this trash?? My dogs ate the rest. They loved it. I’m tired of getting ripped off. I think this is one of the most underrated pizza spots in the village. Not much indoor seating but plenty outside. This place isn't overrun with tourists and has a very local atmosphere.

Drove up to Oceanside specifically for this breakfast and we were all happy that we did so. The flavors are great, the portions are large, and the prices are fair. Parking can be a bit tricky because they have a very small parking lot attached in front but only for about four or five cars. Otherwise it will be free street parking. We arrived around 10AM for Saturday brunch and had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated for a party of three. We felt the wait was worth it though. The food items arrived quickly after we ordered and our waitress was very polite. Inside is pretty large and they have indoor and outdoor seating options. For my first visit, I chose my favorite breakfast dish, which is Eggs Benedict and decided to order their Chorizo Benedict. It honestly had some great flavors and was almost spicy but in the perfect way. I really enjoyed it and ate every bit of it and would highly recommend it. I already want to come back and try some more dishes and would definitely consider this one of the better breakfast options in Oceanside.

Dons Country Kitchen has some of the best breakfast in town. The staff is super friendly, the service is quick, and the food is always fresh and delicious. You really cannot go wrong starting your day here and it is definitely our go to spot.

Heard good things about this restaurant from friends and Yelp so we had to try it out. We traveled from Camarillo to Oceanside for a full day of soccer games. Immediately were we greeted by the staff and basically had our choice of tables since it was only 8:30am. Service was prompt and friendly. Blueberry pancakes and the ABC Omelette were fantastic and portions were plentiful. Delicious!! If you’re in the area or passing by, it’s worth the stop. You won’t be disappointed.

They are a make-your-own-pizza place but just ok. We got here pretty late at night and it was empty. The guys manning the counter were a little bit confused about our orders, but we got them right at the end. I ordered the half and half signature bbq chicken with fast fired meatballs and my husband ordered the signature carnivore pizza. Both pizzas were just ok, nothing great to write home about but the carnivore was better than the chicken. I think I expected the meatballs to be fried because it said fast fired, but they were just regular meatballs. This ended up being a lot of food, so we took some home. The meatballs tasted better the next day when they were heated more. I was hopeful of this place delivering good pizza since we live within walking distance, but it is just average.

Such a great choice...pizza was cooked so well with different toppings Barbeque was our choice. Margerita sauce was superb. Garden godess salad was awesome. Destiny was very welcoming and served us well...other staff Lately too was nice. The other staff too was good. Drinks were awesome.

Pizza wasn’t good, line was bad. I got the BBQ pizza. I haven’t been to blaze in 10 years or so, but I never remembered it this bad. Chicken chunks are way too big and undercooked. I didnt get the ranch dressing, but I’m sure it’s trash. Focus on the BBQ sauce. Needs more BBQ sauce.

Blaze pizza is a must when we go to the outlets. The staff is friendly and they have always gotten our orders correct. My kids enjoy watching them prepare the pizza through the glass as you make your way to the register. Sometime it gets a little crowded inside if it’s a busy day and outside sitting it limited to a few tables.

Located in Outlet Mall in Carlsbad, this is a great location to get your teeth into very thinly crusted pizza built to choice of your toppings. They have a wide variety of dough options including gluten free ones. Multiple sauces are available but my favorite one is spicy red - it has the right amount of kick to light to delight your taste buds. You can fully customize your or you can pick one of the standard ones and build on top of that. My recommendation is getting the red vine with spicy red sauce and then add roasted garlic and artichokes on top. The restaurant is fairly clean - given the amount of kids that roll in and out. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Great recommendation for fish tacos. It was definitely hopping when we arrived around 9pm on a Thursday evening. We sat inside as it was a bit chilly outside, and the music is a little loud, but the food is worth it. I was here for the fish tacos, he went for a quesadilla. Amazingly cheap and tasty fried fish tacos; yes, it really is $1.39 each. Get a bunch of them, you won't regret it. I'll be back next time I'm in the area for sure. Tuesday July 29th The wait was very long to get our food. The fish tacos were good, the quesadilla was good, but the guacamole was terrible, it tasted like it was rotten. We had to eat outside because the restaurant smelled like urine. More than 1 person said that while eating outside.

The staff seem new which is normal around summer for a summer position. The reason I gave it three stars is because of the smell. The restaurant may have experienced a flood recently. I'm not really sure. The restaurant has a moldy smell that is indistinguishable. I wouldn't recommend eating inside.

I have been here three times, once at night for drinks, once for lunch take out, and once to dine in for lunch. Overall the food is alright so far, I would like to try other things. The service each time I have gone was very slow especially the last time. I ordered the Pollo Borracho the last time which was grilled chicken breast sautéed with tequila lime served over flour tortilla with pepper jack and sautéed onions & peppers. It was a larger portion so I had some to take home which was nice. My food was good, but for a lunch break it's better to pick up or go later in the night when you aren't as worried about the time. The night scene is more fun than lunch time atmosphere sitting outside with friends.

The dining room is filthy and they keep everything behind the counter. Getting a receipt, napkins, or even a refill is impossible. One of the worst McDonald's out there. Don't waste your money.

On July 28, 2025, around 9 pm, this McDonalds was inundated by two busloads of Italian National Teenagers on tour. They proceeded to slam all staff with dozens of simultaneous individual orders. This created a huge logjam, and any ensuing order was delayed by an hour. The staff had to endure being crowded, chastised, and disrespected by these teenagers. The staff did the best they could to fulfill their orders, and every other customers orders, the best they could. Any normal person would have snapped under this kind of pressure, but this staff remained as calm as they could and remained professional despite the rude and aggressive treatment they received from these Italians. Although my order took about an hour to receive, I was not angry or upset with the staff. This was just the circumstances of the evening, and I was grateful to the staff for treating me with the best hospitality they could offer. I was glad to have born witness to such grace under fire and proud to have been served by these fast food heroes. 10/10. Thank you for your courage.

We ordered thru Grubhub. We were missing the Original Pollo Bowl and the ranch dressing ordered for a Tostada. But what was unacceptable was that the Grande Avocado Chicken Bowl had raw chicken. We know the difference between white and dark meat and this was raw. Several pieces had so much red that we didn't dare eat it. Very disappointing. The quesadilla was the only good thing.

We were BIG fans of the original Allen's Pizza in La Costa, we went there for years!! So we were skeptical that anyone could take the recipe and reproduce it but Seth and his team have done that!! I just moved here to Carlsbad and my first night here my dad and I were craving pizza. We found this spot on google and it was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had - I got a slice of bbq and it was incredible. And the experience didn’t stop with the pizza. The owner was super friendly and gave me a lot of tips and info about living in Carlsbad. He also gave me 2 coupons for the pizza shop. But it’s not over yet! He also co-runs a donut place (Get n Go Donuts) which he gave us ANOTHER coupon for. My dad and I just tried it and I had the best donut I’ve ever had. Coming from Boston, we are used to sticking by our Dunkin guns when it comes to donuts but unfortunately Dunkin pales in comparison to this place. The best welcome to this city that I could have asked for. I will be returning to both shops!

I love this location!! All of the kids who work here are always so pleasant, they always provide excellent service and I've never had a single bad experience going here morning, noon, or night!! I went in with my mother, what I wanted was an app exclusive so I submitted my order as we walked in. She ordered from the kiosk. It took TWENTY FIVE MINUTES for me to get my food, and I only got mine after 15 people who ordered after me had gotten theirs, including my mother, who was standing there holding her food for 15 of the 25 minutes. Completely unacceptable, and they even didn't give me any of the sauces I ordered, or a fork for my potatoes.

Food was great at this location as usual but never order through the app. One slight issue; They prioritize drive thru and in store orders. I placed my order at 10:36 and didn't receive it until 10:55. Meanwhile everyone who ordered in store got their orders in 5 mins or less. The Taco Bell at 6017 Paseo Del Norte in Carlsbad delivers consistently poor and disappointing service knowing what fast-food employees are making in 2024 and the hikes in prices that we’ve seen across the state as a result. I’ve been a member of the opening staff for two Taco Bells in my time. The chicken quesadilla has always been my favorite. This Taco Bell location seems to have a regularly hard time completing two of the main tasks in making a quesadilla, which are melting the cheese and cutting the quesadilla. Almost every single time I order one, the cheese is barely melted all the way and there is hardly any attempt to cut the tortilla into the 4 pieces it should be in. From my experience I know that melting the cheese is as simple as pressing a button on a steamer and cutting is as simple as rolling the cutter across the quesadilla 3 times. Neither of these things being done correctly regularly translate to me, now a consumer, that there is virtually no care being put into any of the food being delivered to the customers and management isn’t holding their staff accountable. I will be taking my business to another location as of today. I’m paying too much for food in 2024 for it not to be prepared and presented correctly.

You can only order food through a kiosk they force you to be an unpaid employee. So I went to Jack in The box where they have humans that take my order and answer my questions.

Service is always good here. They must do a good job of training their employees. Busy little parking lot in front of a car wash - be careful pulling in and out. People fly down that street. . I sure wish Taco Bell had fries though. Very close to LEGO Land, the Flower Fields, and the Carlsbad Outlets.

Sometimes, you just need Taco Bell. 🌮 We stopped by, ordered in the app. Very easy and convenient. Order was completed perfectly. They have family meals, this order was $20. Lots of food- cheap! What more could you ask.

Found PASTIC WRAPPING IN my FOOD, when confronted the store manager aboutit he asked if I took pictures and once I said no he took my bowl and threw it away. I said I need it for evidence and he said no you don't get any and walked away...too bad I got some anyways. Luis confirmed it was from the rice packets right in front of me. If you have any issues take pictures BEFORE YOU SHOW UP THEY HIDE EVERYTHING Did not offer refund, replacement or any customer service His name is Luis alvarez or something like that I tried to contact distract manager but on one got back to me. Over the years order from this place we had issues with hair, other food wrapping and now this and never did we complain. Now after getting belittled by the manager this is no longer acceptable.

Came for first time. Tried their taco plates and an extra taco: the best was the shrimp gourmet and sweet potato one. Also enjoyed their mango ice tea and their salty caramel cookies. We arrived just before the dinner rush. I would return. Bonus: the salsa bar had great options.

Quality of this place has been going down immensely for years. Portions are insanely small for the price, they used to be better and larger. Service is terrible and they are all rude even if they make a mistake and you ask them to fix it. I've worked food service for years and they are extremely rude and dont have any customer service at all. Most importantly, this location ALWAYS gets something wrong with your order, I completely understand things get busy and you can't do everything right, but its EVERY SINGLE TIME. You can go over everything with them and they will just say yes to get you out of there as fast as possible. Extremely disappointing :(

I understand lunch rushes can get hectic however, after walking in and waiting at the counter for about 5 minutes with no greeting from anyone, or no one acknowledging me in any kind of way i ended up leaving. There was no one in line, and no one taking orders at the registers but i had at least 2 people walk up to the register to set something down and walk away again. If they had at least acknowledged that there was someone waiting that would have been different but they couldnt even do that. Places next door just as busy are able to do better customer service.

The team there went above and beyond to fix MY order mistake. Im so grateful! The food was delicious as always, we got our meal quickly, and with an extra bag of chips.

Taco 🌮 Tuesday fish tacos! Excellent!

Ordered 2 items: a quesadilla and chips w/ guac. They delivered the quesadilla and guac but no chips. I called to ask them for the tortilla chips that they failed to deliver and they weren’t able to send the chips. Idk which is more of an impressive failure, messing up an 2 item order or not being able to problem solve driving a bag of chips to a customer a few minutes away.

The Pulled Pork BBQ Mac was better than I imagined. The service was helpful, quick, and friendly.

Came here for the 1st time today and it was a great experience! Not sure if it was the chef or the manager who brought out our food, he asked if we needed anything else, he came back to check how the food was, and then he came back again to collect our plates. The cashier was friendly as well and the food was AMAZING! We dont live in the are but we will definitely try to come back again. ^_^

First visit... Friendly staff that helped me decide on the vast amount of menu choices. I went with the Pad Thai and was not disappointed. Recommend you try it if you haven't yet!

I have recently returned to eat at this restaurant after leaving the area work. I ordered my usual "shrimp scampi", the taste overall was still the same from the last time I able to eat from this restaurant. Everything was FANTASTIC, the front server (Andrew) was very kind enough to let me in and order (before their actual opening time) to me that's excellent business and customer service. I evidently forgot my (Mexican Coca Cola) before I left to go back to work and when I came back to pick up my beverage (Andrew) was very kind enough to offer me rice crispy treats (no charge). That is above and beyond customer service. I recommend to all to come enjoy dining at this restaurant across from Carlsbad airport.

Back to add to my original review that I'm always presently surprised by the service here. Everyone is welcoming and accommodating. Especially the guy that I assume is the GM. Kids eat free Tuesday. It's a routine now. Couple healthy options for the adults too.

Huge portions was enough to share with 3 people! With only 1 Mac and cheese

We enjoyed the cheesy garlic bread, and the herbal tea was excellent. But our main dishes were just okay. The service was okay - not what I would call warm and friendly though. Overall, a little disappointing for a $30 dinner for two.

10/10!! Food was great! Staff was so friendly! The owner happened to be in the store that day and he was so friendly, and welcoming. Service was great, you can tell they take pride in the work they do. If you happen to be in the area go stop by and enjoy a slice or even a whole pie! Take leftovers home with you to enjoy later too.

Great pizza! The customer service is probably the best we have had in a long time. They know how to keep customers happy and coming back. If we lived here our family would definitely be regulars.

My kids love the pizza. That’s the only reason we continue to go. But this location continues downhill. Gets orders wrong, often (no cheese on cease please), stops making pizzas for pickup or delivery, seemingly whenever they want to and not at a consistent time. One time, ordered for delivery for my kids, hour and a half later, nothing had arrived and was told, sorry, we were busy and now it’s too late, we aren’t making anymore more “pies” for the night. Just called in to order slices for pickup and was told there’s no code in the computer for type. I said I wanted to make sure there were two triburos and he said they had plenty. Arrived and they have literally one slice of pizza and told 3 of us standing in line they aren’t making anymore pizzas tonight. 8:20 on a Saturday night. Hate to do this review, but it’s frustrating and no one that works there cares. Inconsistency of service and hours/policies is plaguing them. Can’t recommend it.

Behold the Brooklyn Calzone & Cheese - did take out, and was smooth to order and pick up! Pleasant staff.. Plenty of parking around. Was tasty - will repeat if I’m in the area. Huge pies 18” - enough to feed a small tribe.

Flippin Pizza La Costa is consistently delicious. Easy to slide in for a slice or 2 with a soda at lunch and doesn’t break the bank. Service is great. Thanks guys!

This is not NY pizza. I can honestly say being from there and eating pizza all over the state that this was in no way like that. First off it was way overcooked. The crust was dry and hard. The sauce had no flavor and the cheese was not great. Literally no discernable flavors of anything but cardboard. If I didn't know it was freshly made I'd assume that it was bad frozen pizza.

Im at hote/condol next door ( 1/2 mile beyond tops). 2.4 hours i did status check. Nothing after paying a $7 delivery charge and they asked for tip in advance. I think close to a $50 pizza. He said sorry and all driver gone. I called at 6:27 pm and it's now 8:47. Its a Wednesday. Such a let foen as was highly recommended. What sucks is they claimed they called, dropped of at front desk etc. I wish them luck, but ill be "flippin the bird " as i roll into Gelsons tomorrow to get a need bite.

Whenever I am in Carlsbad village and want a smoothie I come here. The smoothie is a nice treat while I walk to the beach. I get the PB banana smoothie with whey protein added. The staff is always so nice and helpful. The bathroom is clean and that’s always a plus for me. Definitely stop in!

Very cool little smoothie place near the beach (if you don't mind walking) with a very catchy logo. Brought the grandson here 'cause he wanted an açaí bowl for lunch. I had only a bite and wouldn't know the difference between other establishments . . . , but the logo is cool. Get your smoothies here. Dicks

This is hands down the best spot for a sweet and refreshing açaí bowl! Not only was my bowl absolutely delicious, but the atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Very nice people and great staff. They have very good smoothies and have dog treats. It’s very welcoming and very clean. It also has board games so it’s perfect to hang out.

This is the best place on earth and I’m not exaggerating. As someone who spent a year in Brazil — the home of Açaí — this is the best Açaí I’ve been able to find in the United States. Also, the PB Banana shake is quite literally my last meal if I ever get the privilege to choose it.

The food was good. Customer Service was HORRIBLE. Went there this morning and there were 3 females working. Not one of them smiled or acted like they wanted to be there. A couple family members of mine ordered and we were all discussing the atmosphere. Very dry, and it came off very rude. I don't think we will come back.

I went in to get smoothies with my kids and the customer service was horrible! I don’t expect much from a smoothie place but just a smile and friendly demeanor would go really far! It seems like we were a burden, instead of paying customer. The girl working literally threw the extra straw and cup that we asked for! If you are looking for a smoothie take your money somewhere else!

Once or twice a month they have live DJ Persian music in the evening which results in the restaurant guests getting up from their tables to come up to the stage & dance to different ethnic Persian songs. Husband & wife owners are hands on in the dining area & kept checking on the guests.

Probably the best beef kabob l've had in San Diego County! Came here with my buddies and we got a bunch of food! We started out with the eggplant dip which was amazing! Me and my buddy shared the big mixed grill plate. Definitely recommend especially if you are hungry!! Tons of meats and it came with rice and salad. My buddy's got the gyro wrap and spicy chicken diner! They both loved it. We all shared a kabob pizza which is amazing !! Definitely worth trying! They have beers on tap as well! We sat outside to enjoy the amazing weather and nice tropical setting outside. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean which is always a plus!

I ordered via Uber Eats and was super impressed with the gyros, baba ganoush and hummus. Very flavorful and totally hit the spot. And the portion sizes... wow. Definitely enough for leftovers. I will definitely be ordering again (and maybe stopping in person next time)!

Fantastic food. This place has a vibe somewhere between a casual dinner restaurant and an upscale lunch spot. It's a great place to bring the family. They have a variety of food that will please everyone. Their kebabs are the absolute best! The food itself is excellent. Superb meditation style foods and pizza. You get what you pay for here, top quality. There is a big indoor dinning room with lots of seating as well as a large patio. It's wonderful to sit out there and enjoy the perfect weather. There is a medium parking lot, most of the time there is plenty of parking. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and there is wheelchair accessible parking out front.

Great experience at Bistro Kabob. Fantastic portions. The koobideh wasn't the best I had as it looked pale and lacked meat/onion ratio. Also the rice was decent, but nothing to write home about. All in all, this is a great place if you're looking for a massive plate of decently authentic Persian food in a clean atmosphere.

Bistro Kabob in Carlsbad on Palomar Road is a fantastic restaurant for Mediterranean cuisine. We had Bistro Chicken Salad and Beef wrap. You order your food before sitting. We chose to sit outside on their cozy patio. Food was delicious and service was fast. We had a chance to meet the friendly owner and he gave us a complimentary plate of hummus with pita bread made in house.

We ordered the beef shish plate, bistro chicken salad, cheese pizza and margarita pizza. Absolutely delicious, great balance in quality of flavor in the plate entrees, presentation of a very colorful platter. Pizzas are surprisingly tasty with their red sauce (kids highly approved the pizza-we couldn’t agree more).

I have been to the Carlsbad jack and I have been cheated with a water : IMAGINE ! A BOTTLE OF WATER ! COME ON ! ARE U NORMAL.??? and the food was cold , old and the buns old with mold ! FOR SHURE EXPIRED I have took samples and I have sent them to the Lab ! I will adress this to the FDA too This is not a Complain This is a Concern for our helth AND Costumers & childrens health I am a turist , the employees speak only Spanish, the order was incomplete, they got mad i asked the Receipt because I paid cash and they even made some affirmations of me beeing turist ( something like screw her -in english ) We are not comeing to usa to get sick or poisoned Also to eat this old food This should be a concern for you who gave the franchise to them ! This is not a nice aproach over citizen or children helth Understand that you as a brand u dont pay for my helth if I get sick ! Or my child ! Do not come here. Found hair in the curly fries. Croissant was probably half baked and tacos were also half fried. They served it with a lot of oil on it. Edit: they had me reach out via website, all it is an official customer complaint page. They didn't offer to make it right. My advice, go elsewhere.

I walked in to order some food at 8:20 pm on 8/1/2025, a Friday night. There were 3 people working. I tried to get their attention by saying hello 3 or 4 times and they wouldn't even acknowledge me. One girl even looked in my direction but past me. I felt like I was bothering them or shouldn't have been there so I left. Bummer

Not surprised for a jack in the box. Came to visit family for a little so we wanted something small for a midnight snack, while staying in a hotel. Easy to walk over, walked to go open the door knowing the two employees were fully aware we were outside while they weren't working sitting down at the tables chatting. didnt know we had to go to the drive thru as thats what it says on the sign, walks over to the drive thru, still ignored us. I even called twice for them to not answer that I had to doordash for them to give us our food. Food was okay, but employees weren't doing their job.

This place has no customers in line regularly because everything that comes from the kitchen is, at this point I believe, deliberately awful. You have to cook/fry the food until crispy. That's what Jack in the box is. It's hot, crispy food. I don't know why the hell my chicken is limp and my fries are moist. This is not rocket science.

Food quality and taste - 2.5 on 5 Staff friendliness and professionalism- 1 on 5 Ambience and cleanliness - 1 Value for money - 3 on 5 We had a poor experience in this place. As you can see in some of the pics, the place was not clean with food under the chairs and tables, waiting to be cleaned. There was no one at the counter and we had to wait for more than 5 mins. A couple of staff walked in and out and kept seeing us waiting and didn't say a word. Food came fast.

Ordered through Grubhub. The food was good, with the usual Chipotle quality, no complaints about that. The driver arrived faster than expected, no complaints. The packaging of the food needs to be worked on. Arrived with 2 bowls leaking from getting squished by the burritos on top of them. The bag tore out of the bottom after the driver left it at the door. The four items had no markings for what was inside each of the two bowls, and each of the two burritos. We had to open each burrito and decide which was which. How hard would it be to use a marker to place a V for the vegetarian burrito, and an M on the meat? The same marker could have been used to differentiate the two chicken bowls. With fees and tip, a little more aggravation than I wanted for $74.

Sometimes this place is good. Clean looking behind the glass, good portions, friendly service. Last time I went the place looked really messy. The portion size was okay and the people serving the food were nice enough. The girl at the register could use an attitude adjustment. Didn't even speak one word to me I don't think. Just rang up my order and stared at me until I ran my card. I went to get a drink and utensils, there were no napkins or forks. I went back up to her to ask for some and she just pointed off to the side where they had some for the online orders. This leads me to believe that I'm not the first person to come up and ask for some and yet no one could be bothered to go refill them. I understand these are low pay jobs, but their not even doing the bare minimum

I am perplexed how every time I come to this location the rice has 0 flavor and taste like plain white rice (that’s always lumped up, hard and old), always a bunch of young kids working that are yapping to their coworkers and doing everything but their job and have shit attitudes when they finally get around to helping you. This location is despicable and should genuinely be under close watch if Chipotle values their reputation. I always get great service from the older woman who I’m assuming is the manager when she is working, but the other employees are always just horrific to deal with.

Very Disappointing Experience The service at this restaurant was terrible. The staff seemed uninterested and unprofessional from the start. Even worse, there was a noticeable attitude of prejudice toward certain customers, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable and unwelcoming. On top of that, the portions were small, as if they were trying to save money on every plate. For the price, it felt like a rip-off. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—poor service, bad energy, and not worth it.

This Chipotle is mismanaged. Corporate needs to find someone new to manage this location. I’ve been here 10-15 times and every time they are out of something (beans, fajita veggies, meat, etc.). I usually come between 7-8pm. Maybe it’s in an effort to not have an overage that goes to waste at the end of the day? Besides that, the location is MESSY. The countertops were just covered in food from the day, the floors had trash on them, there were even piles of trash next to the trash can behind the counter. The place was dead, how is no one cleaning the mess up? Not a good look given Chipotle’s track record with customers getting sick from their food. I’m surprised the health department hasn’t come in and said something. Service here is usually pretty lack luster here as well. Just kind of seems like a bunch of high school kids that don’t care much running the show and “management” is just MIA.

6pm and they are "out of crunchy tacos for the night". While waiting I watched the guy do 2 bowls and not even dump the whole spoon of chicken in. Then would roll his eyes when the customer infront of me noticed this and requested more meat. This place is going down hill.

I came here for the first time to get a burrito and the employees are very slow. I had to wait 30 minutes for them to prepare the food. The workers stand and talk to each other, not even paying attention to the customers.

If your order has double cheese, by request or per the menu item itself (#10 comes with dbl cheese) do not get it toasted. Toasting melts the cheese making it hard to tell if they included the extra as ordered. I've had other locations build it without the 2nd layer and caught them at the time of build. This is the 2nd location that has skimped me on my cheese and because it was melted there's no proof. I can tell by the weight, yet that's not satisfactory enough for the staff/owners. It was an owner at a diff' loc' that built mine last X and was adamant they added it, yet inspection by another staff member and 3rd pty was made a new meal. I'm starting to think this is "don't ask, dont tell" thing for the owners to save $ on things we are paying for. I'm going to avoid toasting again so I can ensure that my order is correct moving forward. Other than that it's a standard clean subway location in a great area of Carlsbad.

I have yet to order from this location and have them get an order right. The last time I ordered from this location, our sandwiches had hardly anything on them or was missing and it was so dry because they burnt the bread and didn’t put the oil and vinegar, we asked for, on them. The foot long meatball sub didn’t have any cheese and only 4 meatballs. If you know how small their meatballs are, then you understand how little that is. I usually get that on the 6 inch sandwich.

A really cute and upper scale location for your favorite sub sandwich. Staff was friendly the few times we were there, everything was tidy and well run. I would make this location a way home from work option or you need to get a treat for the road before leaving Carlsbad

I ordered the BOGO on the App of a footlong meatball sub and a steak & Cheese. The subs tasted delicious. I also bought a footlong churro. The taste of it was off. I didn't like it too much. The customer service was good.

I have been to this location a number of times over several years, on week nights and weekends. So far, I have experienced consistently good service and have always received well-prepared sandwiches. A $5.99 freshly made footlong sandwich is a great option in today's quick-food market.

Freshness of the bread and the person who makes the subs makes the difference. When it is good - It is the best.

I don’t complain unless it’s absolutely necessary! But the cost of a bottled soda is $3.59 !!!RIP OFF!! I have came in 2x when the fountain drink machine was broken- no ice ? Well I am now assuming there is a reason. My drink is half the cost of my sandwich!’ I love coming to this location- never have had an issue with other the sandwiches!

Saw some good reviews so I came in to try the been burrito. Later we will go back for the shredded beef tacos. The place was cosy and the staff was welcoming.

Came highly recommended. Left highly 😞 disappointed. Canned red enchilada sauce and canned beans or if they're homemade, they need a lot of work. At least buy red enchilada sauce that isn't bitter. The "Rico Taco" looks like a Taco Bell crunchy taco so I don't know why it's listed as a house special (see photo). The salsa fresca is made with unripe tomatoes and is dry. The green salsa looks like it has food coloring (see photo-that color green does not exist in nature) At least the guac is fresh! They didn't have tamales ready and they didn't have chile rellenos. I'd give them 2 stars but I never give a rating that low so I will give them 3. Get back to homemade, guey!!

I returned here as it was a memory from my childhood. I never tried the food there but as a kid I remember meeting one of the Sisters who ran the place and they were always so sweet. Before I would even met them they already knew me through my mother. But it's been awhile and I decided to stop by. The place has changed a lot, but aside from its new coat of paint and new layout, it still seems very familiar and homey. I think it's still a place for the locals as someone always knew someone by name here. It's definely a nice neighborly place even if the neighborhood has gone some serious development. However, the food was not my favorite. I ordered a Carne asada Taco, and a chicken Enchilada. The food was promptly made and huge in portioning. As I looked around I regretted not getting the burrito instead as they looked massive. The issue was how salty the food was. I probably shouldn't have eaten it but I did anyway. Each bite was much harder to get into. The Enchilada started off much better but the mole sauce alone got very salty. I could tell it was freshly made, but their recipe could use a change up. As I remember before, they still had everything to offer as a convenience store now including tempting Merch. Although I didn't like the food I enjoyed the place very much and it's nice to see how they are woven into the community. Chill place!

Doesn't get any better. Anything you order here is delicious. Beef enchiladas, tamales, carne asada burrito, Lola's scramble, bean and cheese burrito. I'm going to try something different next time though, gotta try it all!

I've gone to lolas Since high school I used to know one of the old owners I believe she passed away She was a great woman She knew me by my first name very nice woman I went to Lola's Recently they were supposed to make my food at 5 30pm they make it to early food was cold when I picked it up I went to the staff told them about it Instead of them making new food that was warm They put The cold food into a different bag. Very poor customer service.

The best and most authentic taco/burrito spot in Carlsbad. I’ve been coming here 15+ years. Amazing staff and the best BRC burritos + carnitas. Don’t forget to try the salsa!

Carne asada burrito was ok. The pico de gallo cost $1 extra (it’s too dry without it) so this burrito cost about $9.50 and overall, it wasn’t that big. You have to bag up your own salsa, but the smoked pepper one was quite delicious but the green one was too watery. The rice was nice and Smokey, and the beans were good. The staff weren’t friendly at all (except the cooks) and nobody helped me when I entered which is the exact opposite from what I’d expect walking in. Especially when one of those two people is Lolita herself, and the place wasn’t busy. Outside there is nice places to sit that are painted quite lovely.

Actually I had had big hope before coming here. I was very dissappointed cuz the options are quite few. I know this brand from my country, Turkiye. And, they are very good quality with lots of choices. I rated good here because I still respect the brand itself.

Paid extra for a Spicy Western but got a regular. Asked for extra barbecue sauce on the Western and didn't get it. Instead someone threw in a side packet of Sweet and Bold BBQ, which is not Western BBQ sauce. The onion rings in the burger were hard as a rock. Bun not too fresh like the bun bag had been open all day. Had to wait in the parking lot for my order beyond the Ready By time shown in the app. Not impressed.

Service was fast and excellent. Came for the spicy Jalapeno Thick burger. Can't pass up for extra $1 I get an extra slice (1/3rd pound) 100% Angus beef patty, total cost $7.99. But with 2 thick slices, jalapenos, tomatoes, fresh lettuce and buns you have to be Bowzer on Sha Na Na to be able to fit the burger in your mouth. For me I can't. So how do you eat an elephant?? One bite at a time, I guess. The accompanies Orange sauce is what gives the spiciness, not the jalapenos. Oh buy one get one free on the desserts was great too.

Customer services at this particular location was TOP NOTCH! Order was made exactly how I asked for and that’s actually rare nowadays. It’s because of this that I WILL keep coming back to this location. Thank you and I hope you guys can set the standard for the rest of the industry.

Okay but like did you guys fire the nicest employee here? There was this kid who would literally keep his Kiosk stand so nice and clean. He would even clean the floor and always cleaned the plexi glass and the card reader. Now all of the stand workers left seem like they don't want to be there. I believe he worked here like over a year ago.

This place is pretty good. I just wanna know what happened to the British boy that used to work at the little stand? He used to give out extra pretzels when he was closing. He was literally so much nicer than the guy that works in the morning. Also why does only one person actually wear their name tag?

Absolutely disappointed in my daughter’s birthday cake. This cake was ordered 2 weeks in advance and when my husband brought it home I was horrified. The detailing of the cake looks like something I could have done at home and it is astonishing how they can sell a cake like this to represent their business. Upon contacting the bakery an hour after pickup, I was put on hold and informed they have “lost” my order form. The worker then proceeded to ask me multiple times if I had the correct location even though I was providing all order details from my confirmation email. I never once was offered a refund or a remake of the cake instead, they seemed clueless and did not know how to approach my complaint. I have attached photos so if you have hopes for a beautiful kids birthday cake do not order from here!

I needed to pickup some donuts for breakfast at my Mom’s in La Costa. I have gotten donuts from the donut shop across El Camino Real in the past but they have gotten too expensive. Vons has a bakery with fresh baked goods. The bakery has a donut case with many delicious varieties of donuts. I selected chocolate, glazed, long John’s, apple fritter and a couple others. The donuts are $11.99 a dozen…mix and match. The ladies in the bakery were helpful and friendly with questions about pricing and variety. Self checkout was quick and easy. Tip: use your grocery shopper ID at Vons even if you don’t have a Vons card. Most likely your grocery store is Larry of the Vons family.

Well, kept up store lots of items to choose from produce outstanding high-quality. Some of the areas that need help would be their deli department and some of their older veteran employees don’t give service anymore

This store specifically, has a really great culture that they uphold! Vons prices are ridiculously high and I still go to this store just because of the interactions I have with the staff. This is the store off of alga and El Camino real in Carlsbad California

High prices and slow service. Three stars for location, some decent specials, and self checkout. Although, the self checkout is why there is usually only one checker, so if you need to use a checker, you can have a super long wait.

Miguel in the meat department is the best. He is always energetic to accommodate your needs and goes above and beyond to meet the customers needs. A great asset to your company.

Guys I accidentally reviewed the wrong store but I really love Kitae. Park Kitae that works at this location. He is my oppa and I love him he is the best employee. Please give him an iced Americano and headpats and a kiss on the head. Kitae if you see this please come snuggle. I am from a land very far away called Canada so I cannot headpat the Kitae so please if you read this and are going here please do that for me. :3

Where to begin.. I stopped by here because Doordash gives me 21% off here for being a driver. I placed an order online and was surprised when it said it would take 15 minutes. Upon arriving it was a complete ghost town inside, I was the only customer. Still, it took about 10 minutes and I was not greeted by staff (a group of teenagers) who were chatting loudly among themselves while I was just sort of there, being ignored. Their conversion was insensitive and questionable. Anything that should be included in the price of the pizza is not, from the normal non-thin crust to a side of ranch costing $1 extra. I used the restroom while I was waiting and it was quite dirty with graffiti and it had 2 soap dispensors but both were out of soap. To think that employees had the same problem is concerning. I ordered the vegan meatballs on the pizza but the website did not inform me that this location was actually out of that, but the guy who made the pizza gave me an inferior mysterious substitute. As far as the pizza itself goes, it was boring and forgettable and not worth $15 in any way, shape, or form. Oddly enough it tasted like it had zero salt and the bottom was burned somehow (see photo) I've had better pizza from no-name small business markets. Avoid this business by all costs.

Update: After being contacted by upper management, they apologized for how my orders turned out last time and I decided to give them to a second chance. Once I came back and had my order taken down I had this beautiful pizza made with no burnt crust compared to the burnt crust I has received last time. This time around I able to enjoy the taste my pizza with no dissatisfaction. Glad to say that they greatly improved and will come back here again in the future!

I LOVE the food here but my last experience was really disappointing. Look at how tiny this pizza is compared to the size of the box…. You only have one pizza size so I’m not sure what happened with this one. I shared this with someone and it was their first experience and it’s just really sad that I’m having someone try your pizza for the first time and they are presented with this. Very disappointing.

This was our first experience at a create your own pizza place. It was fun and each of us ended up with a pizza we loved. First you choose the type of crust you want - gluten free, their regular thin crust or their ne crust that puffs up. Our group of 7 all went with the latter 2. Next you choose your sauce, then your choice of at least 20 toppings. You can pick as much and as many as you want. Meats, cheeses, veggies, fruits, even nuts. They have 2 sizes of pizzas - the standard was about 10/11in and there was a smaller kid's size. Pizzas are fire oven cooked. Then they bring them to your table. You can also get a salad and go thru and pick out all your toppings or they had premade salads. They had a large assortment of drink options. Seating was available inside or outside. Restaurant is in a mall area and a little hard to find - not visible from the street. Parking is free. WC accessible entrance. Restroom was clean. Great place for families, casual dinners, friend's night out, first date.

Poor and slow service. Ordered online for take out. Arrived at suggested ready time (25-30 minutes) and my food were not even prepared yet. Had to wait another 20 minutes. Pizza came out way smaller than advertised. We ordered 11” pizza and got a tiny 9” pie. They said it’s normal!!!!! No! If you advertise for 11” then you need to give your customers 11” pizza!!! Overall horrible experience! Will not support this kind of business!!

We went to the Pizza Port Brewery place across the street and couldn’t stomach the $20 price point for a medium pizza. My wife and I ended up coming here, and I’m so glad we did. We built our own custom pizza with everything great (so much bacon!) for $9. Can’t beat that.

Not impressed at all. From walking in the door to waking out was about 50 mins total wait time. You would think waiting that long and having that many people in line would mean the pizza was amazing but it’s really not. This taste exactly like a frozen pizza you could buy at a grocery store. Not worth trying better off going to pizza port down the street

What an awesome little store here locally, local beer, local fruits, and they have a deli at the store, with fresh made sandwiches till 3pm. Very good

The best little local market!!!! Everything is fresh and grown from local farms. The staff is soo kind and helpful. And their deli?!?!? It’s a MUST TRY! Best sandwiches ever.

Cute little spot with great sandwiches! And tons of different choices. Cool flavored chocolates. And lots of produce.
