This is a Cafe and a Kitaro character goods shop. It's a very cute place with many goods and souvenirs too. I'd like to go again to get something for a local souvenirs next time. The Cafe menu is Kitaro themed also and very cute 😍 I loved the whole street as well.

This place is extremely cute and a great stop for Kitaro merch. The staff was very friendly. I thought the food was just okay, but most character cafes are banking more on cuteness than quality. I really loved the decorations.

If you are around the Chofu area and like GeGeGe no Kitaro, you might want to visit this place. It is a small place near Jinda-ji temple. They have a cafe with dessert's theme from Gegege no Kitaro. They also have a nice collcetion of souvenirs. You can see a small museum next to the store, with a donation entrance fee of 200 yen. You can see variety of small monster inside the museum(however, please in mind that you need to take some stairs and the place is quite small nut quite good and detail for its size). If you are a fan of Gegege no Kitaro, you should visit Tottori prefecture where they have a city based on Gegege no Kitaro. If you don't have the chance to visit Tottori, this place is alright especially for the souvenirs. If you are lucky, you can take the Gegegeno no Kitaro bus from Chofu station to this place.

Such a lovely place to have Japanese traditional noodle soba! You can choose cold or hot soba. I ordered mushroom tempura with cold soba. They serve hot water which you can adding to soup later and you can drink. They also have Mochi for desert. Menu has 2 set but you can also order 1 and just 200yen.

The setting is really lovely, if you can have the seats overlooking the pond. But the soba is overrated and not enough if you are hungry. Perhaps just come here for sweets instead.

Daruma is our favorite okonomiyaki restaurant in Kichijoji. The interior is old country funk, which we really like. They have a good selection of okonomiyaki and monjayaki that you cook yourself on your table's griddle. If you're not skilled enough, ask the waiter to cook it for you. We do quite well with the okonomiyaki, but usually ask for help with the monjayaki. If you aren't familiar with either, okonomiyaki is like a pizza with all the ingredients mixed inside (You are served a bowl with your choice of ingredients and batter that you carefully stir then pour on the griddle to resemble a big pancake.) When the one side is cooked, you carefully flip it over with 2 big spatulas (This takes a bit of skill. If you don't feel up to it, ask the waiter.) It made the burger hard to eat and I couldn’t get past how oily the whole burger was. The burger patty was tasty and the bacon was good too, but the taste was masked by how oily the burger was unfortunately. My wife’s burger also was super oily and greasy, which made it hard for her to finish as well. Unsure if this was just an off day or if our burger choices led to more oil being used. The soup has a distinct dried fish broth which pairs well with their plump won ton dumplings. While you might expect a few small won ton from other ramen shops, Shibasakitei doesn't skimp out on their portions. Prepare yourself for five to six ridiculously plump won ton dumplings. The soup itself is one you won't forget. With an initial taste of dried fish, you'll leave with a aromatic salty aftertaste. The noodles are quite thin and is a great accent to their original soup. Well worth the trip for their bowl. You'll leave wondering why you haven't gone before.

Burger was good and their fries was the best! A little tricky to find this place at first and you have to register outside first before you get in. Great little cafe at Chofu Airport. Hard to find and you need to ask aiport security to let you through their gate. This doesn't seem to be a problem though: just ask them! Food is good, staff are friendly and you get a great view of the small aircraft that fly from here.

Nice soba place in Jindaiji. Usually long queue but not the case of you go after 2pm. We went there for lunch because they appear to be the only soba house that serves flat soba noodle (futoushi inaka). The noodle texture is great and the duck soup for dipping is flavourful. The soba sauce (tsuyu) has a complex taste and is even nicer with grated radish. Staff is welcoming and calm. Their menu is translated in English and some European languages which is a plus.

Great place to have soba when visiting Jindai Botanical Gardens. (It’s immediately outside the gate into the gardens.) The surrounding trees create a nice atmosphere, and you can sit outside if you wish. And the soba was better than expected. Unlike most soba shops, the soba is juwari (100% buckwheat flour), perfectly cooked, and the soba-yu that they give you at the end of your meal to mix with your leftover noodle sauce is very thick and tasty. Also, the servers are very pleasant, and unusually, you have a choice of regular or thick (inaka-soba) noodles. The tempura set isn’t cheap at ¥1700, but well worth it.

Found this place randomly on google map and walked in 2 hours before closing. I honestly did not expect the food to be this delicious. Decent portions for sharing among small groups of people. Seasonings were on point. Nice platings and presentation. Reasonable prices. Food arrived very quickly after ordering using QR code. English menu is available for foreigners. Very comfortable seatings. The whole dining experinece from start to finish was a charm. Highly recommend to try this place if you are in the neighborhood.

Fantastic izakaya with a wide range of food that tasted amazing. As we got there reasonably early for dinner, it was a surprisingly comfortable place with a baby, and we even got the bench/ tatami area to ourselves. Had a variety of different dishes all of which we devoured in no time. Favourites include the lamb cutlets, raclette cheese toast and their trademark chicken. The service was great and the staff really accomodated us with a baby. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

Came here with my friends who were visiting Japan and they seemed to like it. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was nice as well. I would say the portion size could be a little bigger for what they charge. In the end, when paying for the bill it wasn't that bad, but I did feel like each dish was a little smaller than expected.

Now this was rather interesting. Had previously visited this chain of restaurants on several occasions, but whereas they served lots of chicken dishes from their farm in the south, a lot of the dishes here were based on produce from their Hokkaido farm in the North. Lamb is a bit of a rarity in Tokyo so this was something unique for me, and I was not disappointed. The "Genghis Khan" a grilled chicken and lamb dish was superb. As was the lamb chop. A great way to end the year.
