Best tacos in Loreto. Where the locals eat. Dropped by at lunch, ordered and had my first taco in less than 5 minutes. As soon as I stood up to empty my trash he had my second taco ready. Meaning each taco was hot off the grill. They were almost too hot to eat which added to the experience. Two salsa bars with fresh condiments. Their limeade was incredible. Had more than one table available last time I was there and counter service seating. Sit at the counter and enjoy watching your food being prepared. Eat here and enjoy!!

Great tacos, not a friendly owner/cook. I waited 45 minutes at take out with one other person. . Last year, an even longer wait. I just ordered 2 fish tacos to go but they made 4 so I bought all 4. 260 pesos. The guy next to me bought 3 of the same tacos and paid 140 pesos.

Food is excellent!! Service could improve but waiting time is totally worth it.

Tacos were large but at 60 pesos each a bit expensive. Not sure what is so special about them. Service was super slow and place itself is quite basic. Waited 40 minutes to get 6 tacos.

Excellent fish tacos and carne asada. Servers seemed overwhelmed on a recent visit and we were told to wait at our table. And wait. Eventually as they were closing in the afternoon we were able to order. Then, food came out quickly and was delicious. Worth the wait.

I passed by Orlando's Restaurante while exploring parts of Loreto by bike in mid-March 2025. The restaurant's eye-catching exterior drew me in for an early dinner. Tasty food in a nice atmosphere. Friendly service!

Delicious food and a must stop if you are visiting Loreto! Our group came here several times on our trip as it was just that good! They have great vegetarian options too - I loved the vegetarian platter.

This was our first time at their new location. I was concerned because the menu seems small. Between us, we had coconut shrimp, a stuffed chicken recipe of which I can't remember the name, and chicken fajitas. All dishes were excellent, and the margaritas were also great!

Recommended by our taxi driver. The restaurant moved across the street 3 months ago. Nice ambiance. Popular, for good reason. Very good service and outstanding food. We had the “Combination for Two”. Everything was excellent. Prices very reasonable. Returned 5 nights later. Again, excellent food and a. We had Cochinita Pibil (a Yucatecan pork dish) and the Arrachera Steak. Perfectly done. Their sauces are flavorful. Beans are very good as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed! We enjoyed the cilantro fish filet and the poblano chicken enchiladas. Wonderfully prepared, ample portions and waitstaff were friendly and attentive. We are going back before we have to go home!

If you visit Loreto, Orlando’s needs to be a lunch or dinner stop! A great restaurant with amazing food and the best cocktails (their mojitos are my favorite!) The staff is inviting and friendly- Eddie is the best! He makes sure that you have a wonderful experience!! I highly recommend!

Always one of our favorites in Loreto. Don't miss the chicken mole enchiladas! There was a coconut lemonade drink, coconada, that was unique and excellent. Service was slow, but we didn't mind - we're on vacation!

We went in once because it was recommended, but eneded going back because it had great food. The tortilla soup is one of the best I've tried in the country. We also got the green enchiladas, and the cochinita (which was to die for!). As said, we went back for the soup and the cochinita, and we also tried the fish with shrimp (pescado culichi). The servers were quick and, as per restaurant customs, they bring you a house sope -ask for the spicy sauce to go with it, you won't regret it!

Went here for dinner on our first night in Loreto and had a fantastic experience. The margaritas are amazing; I tried the mango and strawberry and thought they tasted delicious. The decor is beautiful: outdoor patio with lanterns and an overhanging tree. Great service, menu in Spanish and English, complementary appetizers, and homemade tortillas. The food wasn’t 10/10 for taste, but it was very good with big portions and not overly expensive. I highly recommend.

Arrachera super burros were delicious and enormous. Worth the 250 peso price. I ate mine over two sittings. Surprisingly, the flan was also unreal! I don’t even really like flan but it was the best dessert of the trip! Highly recommend.

Server speak English. They provide English menu too. Went on Sunday night around 7:25pm, only two table left. The best chicken burrito I ever had. The grilled chicken has a hint of rosemary. It’s really tender and juicy.Super burrito is giant, 2 people can share one. The steak is good too. I can’t wait to go again. They accept credit card too.

I love in Ca so eat alot of Mexican food this hands down is some of the best food period we've eaten there 3of our 6 days in Loreto might eat there again before we leave. My son wants to take a burrito home on the plane idk if we can but will tey!! Lol great food, Arracherra is 🔥 🔥 🔥

Burros as big as your head. My wife had a quesadilla and it was also delicious. It's a great spot to get a bite a rest in the shade. It's very clean and the people are super friendly.

Huge burritos! The chicken was juicy and very tasty. We didn't like the beef one, it had a lot of fat and was hard to chew. Prices are ok for Loreto standards.

Great experience! Customer service was really good, and the food was amazing! We ordered a Chicken Burrito with Cheese, and a Steak Burrito and my gosh, those burritos were really big! Definitely caught us off guard! Without doubt, for what you're paying for, you're getting a lot! Only thing I didn't like was how hot the place was, and it was very quiet as they had very dim music playing. But the food was too good that I eventually didn't mind it. All in all, I strongly recommend checking this place out! It'll be worth it. They are taking the appropriate measures due to the pandemic, and they accept both cash and card! No parking lot but plenty of parking in the street right in front.

This is a cute place off the main street that is a must try! The burritos, tacos and flan were delicious. The arrachera meat was so juicy and delicious, I wish I could come every day. Take into consideration that the chefs in the kitchen are working hard to cook this delicious food and it takes time. If you are in a rush or impatient, do not come and leave them a bad review because of your ignorance.

Out riding bikes through Loreto and came across Buena Vida. A little off the beaten path, but well worth a stop. Food was really really good! Service was great and bonus to have a few animals roaming the outdoor patio. Very nice.

Great food! Caution.. very strong drinks. Reasonable pricing. Phenomenal mixed seafood with octopus, and tended steak. Seafood tacos with cheese were large and filling. Typical Baja atmosphere and service. Not in the tourist center so a bit hard to find, but well worth the search. If I lived here I would be a regular customer.

Visiting Loreto BCS with my church group, my friend Liz Ramirez suggested Buena Vida for dinner. She and 2 other friends enjoyed a great dinner. They have an extensive menu. I ordered the Molcajete Mar y Tierra, skirt steak and shrimp great taste. Friends ordered Tostadas de Ceviche and Empanaditas, also great. If visiting Loreto consider Buena Vida for dinner.

Loreto has a bunch of great restaurants, but this one is the best. We’ve eaten here many times and nothing on the menu has ever disappointed. The service is great (we always enjoy interacting with Benjamin) and it’s impressive how efficiently, quickly, and calmly everything runs, even when the restaurant is packed. And what Buena Vida review would be complete without comment on the delicious margaritas?! Cuidate! Prices are also very reasonable. Gracias.

Was rushed to order, asked for a minute, the waiter stayed standing in front, till I gave in and just got what my acquaintance ordered. Chocolate clamp, would have been OK if not covered in cheese. Overwhelmed the clam speciality for the area. Idk might be a good restaurant, wish I had a minute to review the menu. Form entering literally had less the 5 minutes to look at menu and order, asked for time but was pressed to order. Idk

We've been here many, many times during the past two winters in BCS. I had been on a mission to find the best margarita on the rocks and my hubby has been on a mission to find the best shrimp tacos, and here we found the winner for both, hands down! We have tried most items on the menu and even the Tampequeña, which was absolutely fantastic. My personal fav are the Chuletazo tacos on corn tortillas and my hubby's fav is the garlic "shrimp to taste" a la plancha, or the chicken fajitas, both also fantastic. The food is made fresh to order, and the lovely husband and wife are a dream team, and this is our regular and favorite Loreto eatery. We highly recommend eating here, or even just for the margaritas and homemade taco chips and salsa. 🥰

Authentic, freshly prepared dinner with comfortable outdoor seating. This place is a true family restaurant - everyone pitches in to give guests the sense of being welcomed in their home. Had the enchiladas con pollo with salsa verde and they were incredible. Ate the shrimp tacos too fast to take a photo but damn, they were outstanding.

What an incredible experience and family who own this place! My wife and I looked for the best reviews in Loreto and found Jr's & George's. We went on our last night here, on a Tuesday night and were the only customers, and still treated like family! The food was amazing, steak and lobster cooked perfectly, along with the sea bass. But here's the inside scoop. George and his wife are some of the very best people you will ever meet! They use this restaurant and their service to honor God and serve everyone as their neighbors! They are Kingdom minded Christ followers who give all glory to the Lord! Couldn't have asked for a better experience in Loreto!

Fresh fish and produce, Outcome: great flavors and condiments. Love the fish tacos. . We have been patrons of George’s over the years, at each location. The food is very very good and the family warm, friendly and very kind. The service and prices are excellent. The atmosphere cannot be beat. Clean and fresh with a view of the Sea of Cortez. Amazing dinner and service. Worth the one block walk from the plaza. Great shrimp tacos and the crab was phenominal. Very affordable, less expensive than the tourist places right by the mission but better food and amazing staff. Highly recommend coming here.

The ambiance is decent. And the shade from the thatched conical roof is welcome. I had Oaxacan flavored chicken, which was cooked well but the mole sauce was lacking in depth; enough to make me question why it was on the menu. Our server was fluent in both Spanish and English, and was genial and attentive. The busboy had so much cologne on we could smell his visits for nearly 2 minutes afterwards. (Didn't pair well with the food choices) Prices were reasonable for the touristy area. I would try it again.

Best restaurant we went to in Loreto. Fish tacos, fish filet, fish soup were all amaizing. Cheese enchiladas were delicious too. They start you out with a bowl of chips and several salsas. The atmosphere - inside a giant palapa - is perfect for authentic Mexican food.

Cooked the dorado we caught with great skill. The chef made suggestions, which we chose from. Excellent cocktails, as well.

Hidden Gem in Loreto - Pan Que Pan Tucked away in a cozy corner of Loreto, Pan Que Pan is a delightful find once you step inside. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with charming décor that makes you feel right at home. Although the music was a bit too upbeat for an early morning visit, it didn’t overshadow the overall pleasant experience. We ordered breakfast, and both dishes were fantastic. My wife enjoyed a vegetarian omelet, while I opted for the "House"; a hearty chorizo and cheese omelet. Both came with a side of fresh avocado, queso fresco, refried beans, and toast. The toast was a bit on the burnt side, which my wife actually prefers, so it worked out perfectly. The bread basket of pan dulce was another highlight, with each piece tasting fresh and delicious. Service was friendly, though a bit stretched, as our server was quite busy, and we had to flag him down for coffee refills. Despite that, the overall experience was delightful. The prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and atmosphere. If you’re in Loreto, definitely give Pan Que Pan a visit. Just keep an eye out for it, as it’s easy to miss. You won’t be disappointed!

Pan que Pan has great food at reasonable prices my only negative is since there is a lot of shade there are some mosquitos. My advice if you are one of the folks that mosquitos like then you should wear some bug repellent on your legs and ankles otherwise well worth visiting.

First ever mollete; delish. French toast and basket of fresh baking also great. Sides of flank steak and bacon came cold however. Neat vibe. Came back for another breakfast. Was told that they wouldn't open for another 10 minutes. Probably not the best place for a quick bite to eat or if you have hungry teens that can't wait. Would recommend but be prepared to wait.

Have fun at Pan Que Pan. A hidden gem in Loreto, Mexico. Good place for breakfast: omelettes, English muffin, French toast and fresh juices. Enjoy time with great people in a unique environment.

Amazing food at this low key bakery and cafe. My kids loved the French toast. House omelette was very good. Service was kind and friendly. Would say this is not a grab and go spot. If you’re in a hurry, better to order something from the bakery in front.

Cute corner spot, decent service, but the food was very disappointing. I had seen all the reviews saying there are lots of vegan options and was excited to have vegan pizza and empanadas. Unfortunately the server said they don’t have vegan cheese, and strangely she acted as if they never have it. She said the green “V” next to those 12 dishes on the menu means they will make it vegan by omitting the cheese(even though the menu said it means vegan.) Cheeseledd pizza didn’t sound satisfying so I ordered the tofu salad, which was acceptable but it cost more than a pizza and was not nearly enough food. It would have been better with bread to bulk it up, and maybe added corn or something. Other reviewers mentioned vegan cheese, which was the whole reason I chose this restaurant, but instead I left hungry and disappointed. Don’t like complaining but just wanted to make sure no one else has this experience. Since all the good menu options require cheese, if you’re vegan make sure to ask if they have vegan cheese when you arrive, or call ahead.

We had a decent meal here, we enjoyed our empanadas and salad. The passes were a bit heavy-handed, but did the trick for a special meal in Loretto. The atmosphere is fun and rustic. There were lots of experts around.

The food was excellent. The service friendly and prompt. We had pizza and Milanesa. The milanesa is like schnitzel and was perfectly tender. We got there early and were seated quickly but it filled up fast! Go early and don’t miss this gem.

One of our favorite meals of our trip. The pizzas are great, and the salads are the best we've had in Mexico. Our waitress didn't speak English very well, but she made a great effort and was so sweet.

I was really looking forward to trying this Italian restaurant, but my experience was disappointing. I ordered the spinach ravioli with meat sauce, and unfortunately the sauce was extremely tart, it overpowered the dish instead of complementing it. The ravioli themselves were undercooked and chewy. I also ordered a sangria, which arrived almost at room temperature, not exactly refreshing. The service was friendly enough, but the food didn’t live up to expectations. I hope they can work on their sauce recipe and food temperature because the place has potential.

We went here for dinner recently and were very pleased. We had a pepperoni pizza and their apple and pear salad. Both were excellent. They have a wonderful selection of beers and the service was stellar. Don't miss this place while in Loreto.

Delicious empanadas and shrimp. The Caesar salad was liht and crisp. Margarita and pina colada were cold and tasty. Want to come back for many other dishes! Back 4 years later and everything is still delicious!

Made it here mid morning from La Paz and stopped for breakfast. The food and coffee weren’t bad, the service is what made the experience less than appetizing. I live in La Paz where the lack of customer service is the norm but here they definitely won. I had to ask for coffee 3 separate times, I had to ask for the check 2 separate times, thankfully only had to ask for a to go box once, and when I asked for salsa they brought the Mexican Lindo habanero bottle from Oxxo. Mind you, communication the entire time was in Spanish so a language barrier is not to blame.

We stopped here for an adult beverage this afternoon and wound up having 3 amazing margaritas each and an order of their nachos with guacamole topping, which was fantastic and provided more food than the two of us could finish. The view of the Sea of Cortez and the Loreto Malecón topped off the experience.

Probably more of a 3.75 stars. Margarita was fantastic!! Had 3 different shrimp dishes. Shrimp were good size & presentation was fantastic. Shrimp Diablo wasn't particularly spicy. Caesar salad was meh. Servers were attentive.

By far the best food we had in Loreto. The portions are large and everything we had was tasty. It's classical Mexican food, just one notch ahead of the rest. Recommend the tacos diabla! Nice service and nice ambiance as well.

My husband and I had a wonderful breakfast here. I had the chilalquiles and he had a cheese, mushroom omelette with avocado. Coffee was delicious too. Server was nice and was able to help my husband who has celiac find safe options for eating. Beautiful location just across the malecon from the water. Will definitely visit again!

Our breakfast was excellent. The chilaquiles were saucy and flavorful. The omelet con machaca y chorizo was delicious too! Our waiter, Yerico, was very attentive. They had a limited number of people inside to maintain social distancing. The ocean view was the cherry on top :)

We stumbled upon this place when we were running errands around town. Service was excellent & very welcoming. We had some great margaritas. Fish & shrimp tacos were good! We got the specialty clams as a starter. It was a lowkey dinner for us & we were pleasantly surprised.

Very cool bar (the bar is an old boat) and great prices! Food was very tasty and margaritas were excellent. Apparently they have live music some days, and the staff was all very friendly and helpful! CASH ONLY.

Super disappointing. Went for margaritas and ceviche. We were the only people in the place, due to it being only 4pm. The margaritas were super sweet and didn’t seem to contain alcohol. Just meh. The ceviche was basically fish, onions and cucumber in Clamato juice. Not very good at all. They served it with a couple saltines (which I don’t care for but not their fault). We’ve had better ceviche and margaritas at 3 other places in and around baja over the last 6 weeks. The prices were more like American prices as well which was disappointing.

The food was good and the service was extraordinary. They didn't have any Dos XX even though it was on the menu, so my husband decided not to order a drink. Five minutes later the gentleman (owner) came from down the street with Dos XX for my husband. Now that's what I call great customer service.

So, there were 2 waitresses and 1 cooking, the hamburgers were assembled and put in a microwave, it was all bought, from A to Z, and didn't even try to hide it, got served after 50 minutes with 3 packets of creckers, in the box... It was all so just fake and without taste (luckily). Tried to paid with card and didn't accept it, paid with dollars and after 10 minutes got the change back in pesos... (440 pesos change (20$) with a 68$ meal.

The food is good, we got the Chocolate clams served fresh and the shrimp tacos. The service was quite bad, the lady didn't know anything about the menu and she got my drink order wrong. But decent food for good price

I think I've gone to class heaven. The almejas ajo (garlic) are phenomenal! Service is friendly and prompt. Love this place. I've only done cocktails here so far but everything on the menu looks amazing.

The service and atmosphere were amazing. The clams were good, could use some seasoning, and the chicken (white meat) was a bit dry. However, the servers and host were always there to accommodate. They give you complimentary chips/salsa and a delish desert!

The food is good, the portions are small. It bit over priced for what you get. The service is great, however the day we went it was super slow, so can't really judge. The atmosphere was inviting and welcoming.

You feel like you're on a pirate ship. Very cool ambiance and interior design, amazing service. My filet mignon was good but not great. It was vein-y. But they got the medium rare right. A little disappointed at the cerveza selection. But we really really enjoyed our dinner here.

Just go. That is all. Steak is from Sonora and they do it over an open fire pit. Had a thick and juicy ribeye done rare...and it was awesome. Drinks were good and quick on the refills. But the atmosphere is outstanding. Whether you choose the indoor dining room or the outdoor enclosed patio, it is very, very cool. Romantic spot for a date. Three ribeyes and a filet mignon were had and each are around 700 pesos each. Drinks brought the bill to 5500...which was about 325 USD.

The Surf and Turf was good, Ribeye Steak was huge but the Lobstail Tails were disappointing. They were small, overcooked and small. They don't take Credit or Bank cards, only cash. Not happy that they were only giving 16 Pesos per dollar when the exchange rate is 18 right now.

CASH ONLY Service and staff were great. Steaks came out the right temperature as ordered but lacked flavor. WORST MARGARITA IN TOWN. No lime just some kind of mix that resembled green Gatorade.

They have a wonderful breakfast buffet and the a la carte options are also excellent. We also had lunch here one day and it was delicious. Breakfast time can be a little busy, so I recommend the buffet when the restaurant is full.

Enjoyed breakfast, lunch & dinner here. Wonderful service & good food. We especially loved coming to this place in the evenings to enjoy cocktails & watching the singer/guitar player every night! The ravioli's are homemade & very good.

Friendly, a bit humid inside. We are using the coupon which comes with the hotel room. You may only order the “Americano” with this coupon. Delicious waft of syrup as you enter. Christian was our waiter, so friendly, broken English to match my broken Spanish. Everyone speaks coffee though. The following is just my opinion. Your experience may differ. Food: Coffee excellent, eggs with ham; tasty. Hash brown, ok, refried beans don’t taste fresh. Fruit or orange juice; I chose fruit. Normally I detest papaya but wow this was good! Toast is standard Bimbo bread, we will choose tortillas tomorrow. Can’t say enough about the service; such a professional, friendly group. Edit: day 3. Slllooooowwwwww. If you have an appointment for whale watching go 2x early than you think for breakfast.

Kudos to the chef! I had the best chilaquiles at this place in the entire peninsula during my vacation. They are superb and served with a generous portion. Service was also very friendly. It was the best part of my time at Loreto - highly recommended!

If you want excellent, home and freshly cooked seafood, this is for you. Its a simple, small town place which pairs good food and simple but caring service. Make a stop at El Caloron, located second floor with great oceansviews. And it's very reasonably priced!!!

The food was ok but nothing extraordinary. It was more expensive than other restaurants in the area and de dollar exchange rate was a lot cheaper than other places. Most places were 18.5 pesos per dollar but they only gave us 16.5 pesos per dollar. I wouldn’t recommend this place to friends. There’s plenty of better food at other places with a better dollar exchange rate.

Aguachiles here is AMAZING, MUST try!! We came back for seconds the next day. Group of us 6! This was March 2025 and we still talk about those Aguachiles 🤤 Place not that nice but the FOOD! 💯💯💯💯

After a month in Loreto, el Caloron has bubbled to the top as one of my go-to restaurants. Consistently good food, great prices and friendly service - all with one of the best views in Loreto.

The Best View in town, food is fantastic, service great, prices are a bargain. what more needs to be said.

Both our meals were top notch with very high quality ingredients. Atmosphere was Ok, but would have preferred not having to have a view of the open kitchen. Service was a little awkward with a few different people attending to our dining experience. Nice that they asked immediately what type of water we wanted, just clued in that there was a cost associated with it when it showed up in bottles. Would like to try the patio in the future (when warmer). All in all great food, kudos to the chef and kitchen staff.

If you're here on a Sunday, do not miss the brunch. We had the breakfast buffet on a Friday and it was delicious, but on Sunday they bring out live entertainment and a giant dessert table as well as their famous pozole soup and quesadilla station. Fresh squeezed orange juice is included in the price as is coffee. Dinner is also amazing, the shrimp taquitos were the absolute best! And in hindsight, I would have ordered multiples of that for dinner. The Los olivos fish was really good but I kept dreaming about the taquitos. I found their margarita too sweet, but the smoky Testa Dura wine was a win. The lemon pie was the best of the desserts we ordered.

Breakfast buffet good. Lots of selection. We also ordered breakfast and desserts off the menu. Would recommend the Eggs Benedict, Spanish and Mexican eggs. Cheesecake, flan and brownie a la more were also well liked. If paying with credit card bring Pesos for tipping. Tipping not an option while using machines. This was pretty standard in Loreto. I wish I knew this earlier. Also warning: do not leave your food unattended if eating outside. House sparrows will definitely help themselves.

The outside is a lovely, peaceful, scenic place for breakfast. The food was great. The service was good, too - there when we needed it, but not overly attentive. We stayed for a while enjoying the environment and didn't feel pressured to move along.

We came here with family tonight for the first time for a birthday celebration and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered we were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome from staff. We were seated at a beautiful outdoor table overlooking the sea and the malecon and so the setting was beautiful. Erick was our waiter for the evening and we couldn't have asked for a better and more attentive waiter. He anticipated our needs, made great suggestions however was never hovering or intrusive. The food was incredible. Everything put in front of us was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection, and delicious. From the tapenade, Caesar salad, soup, entrees of fish, and the special molcajete it was the best we've had in Loreto. Al this was topped off with a wonderful cheesecake and tiramisu. Restaurante is located inside the La Misión hotel. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor and has excellent views of the bay. The steak was excellent, the fish and chips were excellent and the fish was excellent. The flan dessert was really great.

Food was well prepared and presented. Service was very good. Go inside to order at the desk and they will bring your meal to your table. My fish fillet was excellent. My wife loves her fish tacos. Prices are very reasonable. Good atmosphere right off the Central Plaza.

The restaurant was closed but they wee very gracious and allowedme to take some photos of the architecture. Beautiful building. Would have to come back on a return visit to eat lunch or dinner.

Visited Loreto in October with church group, found Ole Cafe next to the central Plaza, Visited each morning for breakfast because they cooked nopales with eggs, tasty refried beans and fresh corn tortillas. They have an extensive menu, cost with coffee was less than $10 dollars US.

The mango juice was the only good thing here! The service was poor and the food was not good at all. We had high hopes as it is in a good location and has been open since 1982!

Was pleasantly surprised that they had a separate small vegan menu. We came two days in a row. I was on a bean kick and had a burrito one day (remembered to take a pic after taking a few bites) and a Sopa de arroz con frijoles. Would definitely recommend. Heads up, I believe they are cash only.

In the Historic plaza of Loreto with breakfast and lunch options. One of the few places open early 7:30 AM. Food is good the quesadillas plate is simple but incredibly good. The breakfast torta was excellent. Good option unless you get stuck behind one of the tours.

No, a.c. but because it's facing the opposite of the sun and several ceiling fans, the place is always cool! The staff very friendly and the food is on point! Give it 10000 because they always have fresh orange and mango juice! The hot cakes are so delicious 😋 (i think it has crack it in because you just can't have 2!). I literally came back to get them again!

Augie's was recommended to me by a local who suggested I check out "Taco Tuesday". So I went on a Tuesday and ordered three tacos and a beer. There were signs on every wall touting all tacos 35 Pesos on Tuesday from 4-7pm. I was charged 220 Pesos for my three which is more than double the posted price. Not much in scheme of things, but it still stung. Though a thoroughly locals bar, neither the young waitress or her Mom spoke much English and I really wasn't in the mood to push it. The tacos were ok, not fantastic, but certainly better than what you get at Jack-in-the-Box, Stateside. The view was nice as well. If you go here, especially on Taco Tuesday, point to the sign on the wall when ordering, would be my suggestion.

This is such a comfortable place to hang out with friends. Auggie is one of the most thoughtful hosts you will ever meet. His staff is fast, efficient, and friendly. The menu is diverse and the tortilla pizza is delicious. They also have breakfast! Great views of the Sea of Cortes!

I love this place. Kinda like the "Cheers" bar of Loreto. Freindly service, great drinks...HH 4-7 with 1/2 price drinks and nightly free snacks which are excellent. I hear their burgers are fabulous. The sure look it. Great ocean view!

All 3 ice cream flavor were delicious, but as there is no board with all the flavors they have, it took some time to order

Ice cream is good, but would be nice if you charge us the correct price and not always a different one for the same stuff. We came 3 times in 2 days. We always bought 3 large ice cream bars. Same stuff. First time I paid 110 pesos. I did not check the prices but thought thats a strange number, as you can not divide 110/3....? Next time in the afternoon the older people were there and explained me the price is 35 pesos for a large one, and she charged me 105 pesos (35x3..that makes sense) In the evening we came again, 3 people, we bought 3 large ice bars again, and this time the young guy said its 40 pesos..so 120 total. I told him its funny how you make the prices because every time we pay a different amount and he just smiled. ok. The price on the menu is 35 pesos btw.

Just had an excellent rum raisin milkshake (malteada). The menu offers far more than just ice cream bars (paletas). And the staff is super nice. Highly recommended.

This place was right next to our rental at Casa Mangoes. Liz recommended it and we were not disappointed. They have sooooo many varieties (100+?) of fruit flavored popsicles, half of which were cream based. We had 4 varieties so far. They tasted like they used real fruit and not artificial. Some had chunks of fruit in it. They also had ice cream that looked amazing but we didn't try it.....yet!

Heaven on Earth!!!! We were mildly addicted to the place. It’s better than alllll the ice cream i’ve had in the US. They don’t skimp on ingredients. Flavours we loved and kept buying are: dried fruit, tres leches, a mexican snack with cake chunk, and chocolate (partner’s favourite).

We are repeat customers... excellent variety, quick and the cheapest in town that we have found. Offered is waffle & sugar cones and cups. RECOMMEND

Loreto is such a beautiful little town and we stopped at Santo Cielo Cocina Gourmet for lunch. Francisco was our server and provided insight on the menu. We ordered margaritas which were excellent. We then ordered the sea bass tacos which were salty and fishy tasting and not our favorite. The chile relleno was covered in green sauce and had no egg batter yet a chile just smothered in green sauce. Another disappointment. The margaritas, chips and guacamole were stellar hence the 3 star score and the service and ambiance were good as well. Once again the City of Loreto is a beautiful spot when traveling.

The place was very nice, the live music was nice, there weren't many people literally it wasn't that busy. Only 3 tables with people. we ordered something to drink, Which took too long to have our drinks. I ordered an octopus and after a while, the waiter came to say he was sorry that there was no octopus, so I ordered something else. My husband ordered some breaded fish tacos and after a long while, he came to say that he was sorry that there was no breading for the fish, that he was going to grill them, To which we told him ok, well, it's fine, but they were terrible. After asking for the bill, it took a long time to get it and on the bill receipt it said, suggested tip and it was added to the total. When it came time to pay, the waiter asked if we were going to give a tip and by mistake, we put yes, but then we clarified what it was that was already on the receipt to which she said it was only a tax, but a tax is not entered as a suggested tip. The credit card machine had no paper. So he couldn't give us a receipt. The service was really, really, really terrible. Too bad for the place, it's nice and you can have a good time, but the service leaves a lot to talk about.

It was tasty but the portions sizes are horribly small, even not enough for a kid. I complained immediately to the server and he brought another portion of fish and it's the only reason why i gave 5 Stars. We all went to the grocery store after to get food. The live band was great there was heated areas. I wouldn't come back, because when i spend 32$ on a meal i don't want to have get food afterwards because I'm still hungry. Also they only take Visa or cash, that's annoying be aware, everyone has MasterCard nowadays, for the price you charge for the food you can afford MasterCard come on.

Excellent place to enjoy the view and have a great dinner. The quantity of each plate it little but with good flavor. However, the chicken fajitas were a lot! More for a child hahahaha. i ordered the grilled octopus, it tastes great but it was a little hard to cut and chew. The service great!! Every employee was very polite. My daughter wants to return to have dinner ☺️

The atmosphere here is amazing. The live music was perfect for the spot and very enjoyable. However, food was a disappointment we ordered a lobster molcajete. Have been in La Paz for two months and didn't expect it to be half the size and twice the price. The lobster was over cooked, one Napoli do, one onion, huge pile of cilantro on top and the molcajete had part of the side broken out. Very disappointing.

This was an experience I wish I could go back in time and just have bailed on the reservation. Ask for the price upfront you will regret it. Like other reviewers I too have traveled through many parts of Mexico and had truly amazing food. The food was good but definitely NOT amazing food very basic and WAY OVERPRICED. For 750 pesos per person, we got guacamole with a tortilla of cheese. Then a squash soup about 1 cup on a coconut husk, the main was a sampling of a poblano stuffed with cheese, rice with a raw banana slice, a couple tablespoon of beans and about 1 oz of pork with mole. To finish as an after thought, Sofia pulled out a dessert from her personal fridge that one of her friends made and literally sliced VERY small slices of this dry days old apple bread. I was hoping for more out of someone supposedly experienced. Maybe some fish or similar considering Loreto is right of the sea of Cortez. I would definitely not recommend this place. Also the vibe my husband and I got after talking with her was a bit scam artist-y. Maybe she is looking for investors for her property that she had pre circled on a map. She was braggadocio and seemed to be trying too hard. As the other reviewers said stay away and spend your money on better places we spent 1500 pesos on basic food for 2 people

The whole experience was amazing. Food was amazing and so was the host. She is so sweet and her dog Nino is adorable. The atmosphere of her home/restaurant is incredible. Truly unique. Kinda necessary for some fluency in Spanish to get the full experience.

Sophia shared laughter, warmth and heartfelt food. She accommodated my partners dietary needs perfectly. The ambiance and authenticity make the experience special. Our meal was perfectly seasoned and prepared. The margaritas were excellent and the flavors of the mole were mind opening. I couldn’t recommend more. Regarding price, it was an expensive meal but set aside criticism and open up to a wonderful culinary experience. It’s an intimate low volume business model. I’m sure the late Anthony Bourdain would agree it’s worth every peso.

Authentic and intimate Mexican dining. It’s a set menu, mostly delicious vegetarian with some chicken mole. A bit pricey ($62/2 people, incl 2 cervecas) Sophia, the owner/chef & family prepare the food nearby so you can watch. She only speaks Spanish. Reservation recommended. Great date place for a quiet dinner. Accepts pesos/$$.

Really interesting experience. Very “home cooked” style, no menu, very little English. You just come, they start bringing you dishes, and you sit back and enjoy. I recommend it, even though it’s a little bit pricey and they aren’t exactly transparent about what everything costs and what comes with the meal and what is extra. Overall, I’m glad we went. BTW, they force awful hand sanitizer into your hands and if you say no, even if you have your own, they refuse to let you inside. I REALLY didn’t appreciate that.

A must if you’re in Loreto and you enjoy authentic Mexican flavours. Sofia offers a unique culinary experience whereby you are seated in the courtyard of her house surrounded by interesting artefacts and crafts, with Sofia cooking in her amazing open kitchen. There is no menu, she just brings you different courses, all of which are made with love and culinary know-how. Her daughter comes round with freshly prepared margaritas too. Especially when travelling, it was such a treat to have a home cooked meal. We felt totally en casa! Be sure to reserve at least the day before and to arrive hungry on the day. You won’t be left wanting. It’s not cheap but the prices are reflective of the time and effort put into the meal and hospitality.

One of the most special (and delicious!) meals in my life. This is a must-do for a local foodie, those who love women owned and operated businesses, or anyone who appreciates the soul put into family food. We spent about $85 (including tip) for two people for the fixed menu and two fabulous margaritas. Obviously a lot for Baja, but this meal is worth more than money. The mole is swoon worthy. It is comprised of 37 different chili peppers (not spicy) and is prepared the traditional way: ground by hand. We will be returning when we pass through Loreto again!

Best food we had our entire time in Loreto! The fish tacos were to die for. My fiancés name is Claudia so that was a fun twist as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

It is not a matter how much you spend per person. Out of all the numerous excellent restaurants in Loreto! This is one of my favorites! The food, the employees!!

My mom and I stayed in loreto for a week and this was our spot almost every night. Jose and Ernesto were our bartender/ server and showed us so much kindness and hospitality. Jose made us some great margaritas along with making us laugh, and ernesto was very attentive and made lots of good recommendations on the menu. We will for sure be back next time we are in town for the great service and the food! Gracias amigos!!

After a walking tour, worked up an appetite, stopped at Claudia's for lunch, ordered the fish and shrimp Tacos, both great tasting, if visiting Loreto BCS and hungry worth a visit.

This has got to be some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Unbelievably good authentic Mexican food. Literally a mom and pop owned and operated restaurant. I shared these two dishes with my brother and both were amazing. The one with the cream sauce was insane. If you want a fancy restaurant with a fancy view, this isn't it. If you want authentic Mexican food with authentic atmosphere, run by the sweetest local people, this is it.

If you don’t stop by here, you’re seriously missing out! This was hands down the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we had during our entire trip through Baja California Sur. Every dish was packed with flavor and made with so much love. But what makes this place special is also the service—so kind, warm, and welcoming, you instantly feel at home. I even forgot my glasses there, and they went to bring them back to me. That kind of kindness is rare and deeply appreciated.❤️ La Poblanita is a gem, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Loreto. Go—you won’t regret it!

We were happy to return to La Poblanita again this winter. The restaurant has an even warmer atmosphere than last year, but the same fantastic food. The owners are a lovely husband and wife team who remembered us from our 3 visits last year. I ordered the very tasty chicken Enmoladas covered in a fantastic molé with just enough heat, and hubby ordered the delicious chicken Pipiàn, both served with a terrific red rice. 😋😋 Highly recommend.

Although we love La Poblanita in Cabo, when we saw one in Loreto, we had to try it and see if it was as good as the Cabo one, and it truly surpassed our expectations—it may be even better than the Cabo one which is saying a lot. Tony, our server, was so nice and easy to chat with, all the dishes we tried were beyond delicious, and we couldn’t have been happier with our restaurant selection. Since we stopped in Loreto on our way back to visit family in the states & would be back in Loreto 3ish weeks later, we told Tony we’d stop back again on our way back to Cabo. The chef came out to greet us on both of our visits and they all remembered us from our previous visit. The food here is homemade and crafted with great care and love. Anything you order will be amazing , but we especially recommend the pollo poblano, el mixiote, the sopa poblana and for dessert, the homemade flan!! If we ever stop by Loreto again, you better believe we will be visiting La Poblanita Restaurante Loreto!! ¡Buen provecho!

Good food and plenty, not expensive for the quality

It’s a bit misleading being g right off the highway but this is a great place, I had the tacos de enchilado that were muy picante!

They clearly operate on the principle that customers are an unwelcome inconvenience. From the moment we were begrudgingly acknowledged, it felt like we were interrupting something far more important. And the food? Oh, the food was an absolute travesty. It tasted like disappointment seasoned with despair. Every single dish was a monumental failure, a culinary catastrophe that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Save yourself the unpleasant experience and eat literally anywhere else.

We ended up here by accident. We caught a Mahi Mahi and were told of a few places that you can take the fish to be cooked. Ask around and would up here and are so glad we did. We showed up 30 minutes before closing time but did not feel rushed at all. The food itself is amazing, we ordered from the menu but also surrendered our fish to be cooked by the lady chef to her liking. The pictures I posted are if what she did. Sashimi, fish Tacos, garlic filet. We also ordered margaritas which were deliciously fresh, chile relleno, ceviche and other things. The pictures are of the Mahi Mahi

What a wonderful night out. Not only did they stay open late for our group, but they did it with finesse. Every meal was wonderfully cooked and served by a warm and friendly staff. Bring your translator if you don't speak the language. This is true blue authentic cuisine. The shrimp consomme was an added delight.

Always enjoy the zocola. Decided to try this place. No other customers there. Greeted and sat at a table. After 5 minutes I went looking for someone to see if they were actually open. They were. Ordered margaritas; bottom shelf tequila filled up about 75% of the water glass it was served in for 200 pesos. Ordered guacamole. They were out. Ordered tacos. Mine were average. My bride's were overcooked to the point that the meat was rubbery. So to recap: atmosphere Above average; food Below average; service Poor. Que lastima.

We were craving Chilaquiles and boy did we get them here! Our brunch was fabulous here and in such a beautiful setting on a balcony overlooking the main Loreto Square. The service was lovely but a little bit slow. They did have a bathroom and juices coffees and everything like that.

Literally, the best latte I have ever had in my life! So I had two of them. I had a good omelet and my wife had oatmeal. Good dishes, but the latte was the star of the show. Upstairs location, air conditioned, very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Safe way to know historical downtown Loreto, people are very helpfull and regularly very nice. This is a very safe area, a lot more crowded and busy at night, when the heat and sun go down.

The best breakfast and lunch in Loreto. They have AC and quick/kind service. We ate here 3 times during our stay and highly recommended the poblano enchiladas!

I really wanted to love this place. It’s tucked away upstairs above the courtyard of shops. The terrace is charming, the coffee is good and the servers are friendly. The avocado toast with egg was meh. The bread tasted like basic store bought, and the guacamole was pretty bland. I’ll probably give them another shoot and order something else.

Fantastic! We ate breakfast here on the last morning before we flew home, and loved it. We all agreed it was our favourite spot and we’d have made it a daily breakfast spot if we hadn’t had to leave. The food was very good and prices fair. The service was also excellent. The pancakes had a fun little face added to them via fruit and chocolate chips and were oh so fluffy. Visiting Loreto BCS with my Sister City church group. My friend Liz Ramirez suggested Dory Luz for breakfast. I ordered the Chilaqules and Liz the Waffles with bacon. The food was delicious and the outdoor seating inviting. If visiting Loreto consider Dory Luz for breakfast.

What a gem of a find for breakfast/lunch. We stumbled across Dory Luz and it looked so shady and welcoming we wandered in. The food was simple and delicious! They owner is a lovely woman you can tell the food is made with love. My chilaquilles were delicious and hubby had three different tacos. All wonderful our favorite was the sautéed poblano strips taco. Amazing flavor. We highly recommend stopping here when in Loreto.

A hidden gem off the beaten path yet close to the town's center. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. She speaks little english, but we managed to understand each other despite my terrible spanish. The food is made fresh and is absolutely delicious. It was the best meal I had in Mexico. I visited on a Tuesday morning and ordered the special, Sopes. The food is cheap and the location is great. The outdoor seating area is like an oasis. It is a beautiful garden with flowering plants and birds chirping and flitting about. Succulents adorn the simple wood tables. Light music plays on a portable speaker. If you are visiting Loreto, make sure to visit Dory Luz. You will not be disappointed with this lovely cafe!

Great place to to get drinks. Carlos was a friendly host who made us some great margaritas. We also went on taco night (Thursdays 6 to 8) which is delicious. Go early to make sure you get the tacos before they run out!

I was extremely satisfied with the taste and presentation of the 3 food selection I had. The menu is small and that is okay. It is the owner who is both the server and drink maker. He is a real gentleman and easy to ask questions. The menu is authentic Mexican / Spanish I would say.

Just absolutely amazing! The shrimp pozole bowl is as big as your head and full of shrimps and roasted corn in a rich flavorful broth. The mesquite grilled clams is out of this world. We have been coming here for the last 3 days for lunch. Staff are friendly and attentive. A must when visiting Loreto.

Came across this great restaurant- what a great gem. I ordered ceviche and my husband got fish tacos and soup. It was the best meal since we cross the boarder! It was also hot and they brought our dogs water. Very nice people!!!

We had a wonderful dinner last evening at this new location for Pepegina's near the Mission. My husband had the coconut shrimp and I had the fresh sea bass with cilantro sauce. Both were excellent! Beautiful setting and great waitstaff. Jaime was our waiter and he was charming and informative and his English is excellent. Overall a five-star meal.

So we had just gotten off the boat in Loreto. Walking the malecon when we spotted a woman selling ceviche from a cart. We got pescado ceviche. Then, found some shade to enjoy our snack. Tasted like they had just caught the fish. Was delicious. Probably the best ceviche we have had so far.

But let me tell you, this ceviche was excellent!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ First, the fish was thoroughly cooked in the acid of the lime and other seasonings. And it was not overcooked, tough nor rubbery. The seasonings all together were popping. This one even had olives (but watch out for the pits). It was tasty but not spicy. I would HIGHLY recommend that you make this spot a stop on your list of places to try in Loreto. Excellent job Iván!!

Great food & very reasonably priced. We went there for breakfast this morning, we ordered coffee, Agua Fresca (piña) & two gorditas (one chicken tinga & one mushroom). Everything was delicious & under 200$ pesos, it was perfect for us. Most of the patrons eating at the restaurant were locals that made it feel like more of an authentic experience. Seems like they do a ton of to-go orders too. Also their salsa was so fresh with a nice kick! We will be going back!

We had an amazing time at Gorditas Loreto! I got the sincronizadas which was like a quesadilla with ham and was delicious! We also had a chicken quesadilla, bean and cheese Gordita, and a chicken Gordita, and it was ALL AMAZING. Prices were very fair, Gordita’s were 25-35 pesos, and a quesadilla was 60 and very large. You need to try this place!

Gorditas, tostadas and everything else were perfect. The tables and bathroom were clean and you can wash your hands as you walk in. This makes me believe that the staff is also very clean.

We were not as crazy about the Cesar Salad though; thought the dressing could have been better. We met the owners & they were a very nice couple from Houston, Texas. They have moved from the Loreto malecón to a new place near the north entrance to Nopolo and I am so happy as it’s now only a 4” drive. No waterfront views but having an outdoor and AC enhanced interior dining more than makes up for that. Food superb and prices reasonable for Nopolo. We tried slightly off the menu requests such as a shrimp omelets and they were granted with a justifiable bump in price. This will be our new GO-to place. Gracias!

Absolutely amazing experience! We were taken care of by Carlos whom was the definition of what customer service is supposed to be. He was very respectful, very attentive, and even gave us some great tips on things to do around Loreto and the surrounding area! Not to mention the food was very delicious. It came out hot and fresh, and in a very timely manner. The view that you have from the restaurant is nice as well as you have the malecon in front of you. They have their own parking area, and they accept both cash and card! The place is also taking great security measures as far as the pandemic goes. I strongly recommend checking this place out, you will not be disappointed!

It is recommended as having a nice breakfast so walked over to try it out. Started with a freshly squeezed green drink - refreshing! Then had good coffee with huevos Oaxqueños (with delicious mole sauce and local cheese) and freshly made corn tortillas. The restaurant faces the sea, but the window walls are kind of foggy - probably not glass - so you couldn't enjoy the view. Maybe they push them open later?

I tried the Cerdo en Adobo (pork in adobo sauce), and it truly was outstanding. Large, tender chunks of pork are cooked in a mild but flavorful adobo sauce then topped with sliced red onion. It really hit the spot. The dish was paired with white rice and charro beans, which l prefer over refried. The outdoor shaded seating offers a view of the malecon and Sea of Cortez. Service is courteous and attentive. Highly recommended!

This spot was by far the best beach side restaurant that we visited in Loreto. The staff is super nice, knowledgeable, and spoke English beautifully. The food was yummy and the view was super relaxing. I hope to go back one day soon - it’s a very special spot. Roads going in and out are easy to navigate on a dry day. Just use your brain, honk at blind spots, take it slow, avoid the bigger rocks and keep going even when you start to wonder if you will make it. Riches await the adventurous at heart. Be prepared to ignore Google about 2/3 of the way there and keep on the obvious road. We drove it in a normal car just fine. I hope to return soon.

Amazing spot! Part of the adventure is the finding it! We were helped by Diego, a man with a poet's heart. The chips with the salsa spread was worth the trip! We had Liz's wrap ( Marlin, scallops and shrimp) and it was heavenly. Very rich and I could only eat half. My wife had coconut fried sea bass and, with the aioli and chili salsa made ridiculously good tacos. Margaritas are wonderful but there is a quite complete bar. Bring cash...very far from civilization, cell service and credit card readers! Come ready to hang out, eat, take a walk on the beach then hang out some more!

We were so lucky to experience this restaurant and meet Diego, the owner who made us feel welcomed. As a couple with children who travel year round looking for good food around the globe- this ranks in our top 10 experiences around the world. The ceviche with scallops was the best I’ve ever had and now I feel like I can’t even order ceviche anymore without being disappointed. The ambience is breathtaking and in between eating and drinking- we were able to jump into the ocean and take a cool dip. When I say experience- I mean we stayed there for 5 hours and only left because our taxi to go home. This is probably one of the first truly off the grid locations we’ve taken our kids (meaning NO phone signal/wifi) and even then they didn’t complain once! With the sea, the dogs and the food- they were truly content.

This is a hidden gem, well worth the drive on the road there ... The smoked marlin burrito is locally caught in Mulege and smoked there; it is amazing. The clams and cheese were steamed and flavored perfectly. The margaritas are delicious and pack the right punch. Diego and the crew are so friendly and welcoming. Lastly, the view of Coronado Island is stunning. I will probably come back to Loreto in the near future just to come to eat here again! Check out my pics.

A wonderful experience. The place is remote with a beautiful view. The food was delicious (bouillabaisse and shrimp wraps). From far the best food we had in Baja Sur. The margaritas were on the strong side. The owner is very friendly. We will come back in the fall for sure. Suggestion: Build a dock for dinghies so sailors can stop by. A little gem!

Place was very comfy and service was great. There was just beautiful ambience while watching and listen to the waves. Our fish wasn’t up to bar as it tasted like it was a frozen fish. I’m not saying it was but just felt chewy and a little bland. The sides were good and the margarita was not bad. Still recommend this place.

Yaser was our host, waiter, bartender, and I would not doubt if he was the chef as well. Yaser was the BEST!!!!! We had the seafood special for two which included lobster, crab, scallops, shrimp, clams, and fish in a butter, garlic, white wine sauce. Absolutely delicious!!!!! The second floor restaurant has a talapa thatched roof giving the place a very rustic beach-like feel. Yaser greeted us and in just a few short minutes we felt as if we knew him for years. I knew right away this was going to be a gem. Yaser even personalized our flan desert with a nice chocolate happy anniversary message on the plate and a candle. Nice little place for a cocktail and catching your favorite game. We had dinner here and it was ok. Hubby loved the tacos, I had the pizzadia. I was starving after nearly 9 hours of travel. The guacamole and chips with my beer was divine. I did have nachos another night and they were pretty good, very large portion. WONDERFUL WINE BAR Will and his wife are running a good deal here. Prices are fair, margaritas are marvelous, and you can get a good plate of food depending on what you order. Gastroteca Azul is truly my favorite restaurant around — it never misses! Everything they serve is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely full of flavor. My personal favorites are the chicken picatta and the carpaccio; both dishes are always outstanding and show just how talented their kitchen is. Definitely worth visiting. Outstanding service. Excellent salads. They had a shrimp and risotto special entree that was a confusing blend of Italian and spicy Mexican, but ambience, location, cocktails, and service compensated for that one-off culinary experience.

Well it’s says the reviews aren‘t verified but we just finished our meal at Azul and, we can verify that everything we say is exactly how we feel. We’ve been coming to Loreto since 2006 and Azul was such a welcome addition - I’m guessing about 10 years ago. Quality food, fun drinks, easy atmosphere. Initially we came with our 3 kids, now they come with their friends and we finally have date nights again. Great, knowledgeable , friendly staff, a chef who comes to say hi, front of house who take the time to tell you not to hurry as the next guests for the table are running late. 4 cocktails later, we’re lying in bed, stuffed with the fish of the day and the Mediterranean plate (and French fries of course), feeling lucky, spoiled, and grateful for another lovely evening at Azul. If we could do it again tomorrow, we would. But it’s Sunday. (This is only the second review I’ve ever written.)

We can't get enough of Gastroteca Azul. We always start off and end our Loreto stay eating at Azul. They offer such thoughtfully prepared dishes, and all are unbelievably delicious. We were so blessed to celebrate our Anniversary in Loreto at our ultimate favorite restaurant. We were treated so well and Juliann introduced us to a wonderful and celebratory Italian Prosecco that paired amazingly well with our food. Can't rave enough. A must dinner destination.

Amazing! Best burger and fries I've ever had, burger and fries? YES. Served only on Fridays and Saturdays. Seafood is also incredible. Service is a 10 as well.

We went for the oyster and clam bake. We're a bit disappointed that they had started it earlier than advertised and we missed the initial lighting of the brush above the clams in the dirt. This seafood buffet is quite good, and the traditional talega coffee is worth having as well. The barbecue ribs and chicken were also excellent, grilled right in front of us. And thanks to the bathroom, I now have a new idea for a hand soap pump.

We came here on a Friday shortly after arriving to Loreto. We were a party of 12 and we were seated right away. This time of year Loreto is pretty much empty of tourists since it is still hot weather wise. Since it is slow for tourism most of the restaurants we visited were understaffed so preparing food for our size of group proved to be a challenge to the few spots we went to eat. This one being no exception. The food though when it finally arrived to our table was okay. The chips and salsa were very good. Place is clean, plenty of parking and right next to the beach. It has air conditioning which is gold in the summer months.

We had brunch here, and we went back the next day just for a drink and to look over the sea. It is one of the very few places in Loreto that offer a place on the beach and direct sea view. The food is well prepared and okay, the staff is a bit clumsy, but friendly.They have a marvelous tomato marmelade. It is pricy like everything in Loreto. It is the view that makes it a bit special and the comfortabel seating.

Excellent food and service. Oceanfront and the islands in the background. Dog friendly and waitstaff are attentive.

Would not recommend the fish. Get a burger

This place used to be good and prices reasonable. Now it’s a tourist trap, dirty, and poor attitude. The drink prices are not listed on the menu so ask before you order. There was a piece of hair in my fish taco. They also made a math mistake on our bill with a slight overcharge, which I pointed it out. All they had to do with correct the bill, but the owner got upset with me and defensive. We will never go back again.

Hands down best fish and shrimp tacos I had during my stay in Loreto - super fresh and tasty.

One of my favorite spots in Loreto. Their tacos are unmatched. I absolutely love their battered fish and shrimp tacos. Their grilled shrimp with cheese is excellent as is their grilled fish option. They provide you with chips and a tray that includes a multitude of sauces and toppings. The margaritas here are pretty great too!

This is by far our favorite restaurant. Everything we've had has been excellent.

Cesar's is the first place we take family and friends when they arrive in Loreto. First impressions can set the tone for an entire vacation and Cesar's is perfect in every way. Julio always greats us with a smile. The Margaritas are delicious as are the tacos heaped with fresh caught fish with all the trimmings.

We stopped here while walking by glad we did. The shrimp cocktail Mexican style was delish and chips salsa and beer 🍺 Dos xx hit the spot. Friendly waitress. What’s not to like.

Delicious fish tacos and the prices are very reasonable. The owners are not the friendliest, but service is good. I highly recommend for lunch. Edit: I’m editing this post because on a return visit, I was warmly welcomed by the family who owns it. Everyone can have a bad day, especially when it’s 90 degrees outside.
