American restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Westside Drive In is an iconic 50s-themed diner with two locations in Boise, Idaho. Established in 1957 and taken over by Chef Lou in 1993, it offers classic American comfort foods such as burgers, shakes, fries, and steaks. The restaurant's retro setting exudes nostalgia from a bygone era.
Ok, my wife had it planned, and we dropped our bags in the hotel, and she said she knew exactly where we were going to get our first food. My wife is brilliant. I LOVED this place. You need to be in the mood for naughty eats and not classy tablecloth places when you go. If you do that, this place is gold. Apparently, we HAD to try the Finger Steaks, and the baked potato thing. The Finger Steaks were delicious, and probably not low fat. I loved them, and plenty of sauces around for the fries. Even that piece of bread in the picture was tasty. Now to the potato. To be honest, we weren't even sure before we went and when we ordered if the potato was an actual potato, a potato with ice cream on it, or other. It ended up being magical ice cream all around. It was one of those desserts where I ate smaller bites because I knew I would be sad when it was gone. I was right. I WAS sad when it was gone. We debated on making time in our short trip to go back for it, but she won that conversation unfortunately. Anyway, you NEED to stop by here at some point. I highly recommend, and see you there (the next time we are in Boise)...

Large menu, fast service. I got the bologna sandwich and the coco shrimp basket. The bologna sandwich was amazing! What a surprise. It was about 3 dollars! The portions are big and there's plenty of seating outside. I wish I went when I was hungry. I shared the items and I didn't have a craving for burgers or a heavy meal.
Juana F — Google review
Classic drive through/in with some outdoor tables. I got the "Famous idaho ice cream potato" which was fun and good. I love the idea. The Best Finger steaks had some tender beef inside but the breading felt heavy, fries were seasoned and delicious. Mostly self serve from the window. The slice of toast and fortune cookie were unusual add ons.
Trypp A — Google review
No inside seating but tables outside. We went late around 8 and they ran out of baked potatoes. Too many good things on the menu. Recommend cream soda and the Daddy O Burger (2 patties, 2 slices of ham, 4 slices of bacon) it's a lot but worth. You have to get the ice cream potato too so cool! The place was also featured on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.

My partner and I happened to pass through Boise on our car camping trip across America, and we’re so glad we stopped in! Everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and came out so quickly. 10/10 — we’d definitely come back if we’re ever in Boise again! 🤟🏼
Nadine — Google review
I had the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. It was a 6-napkin hamburger. So good! Generous size, bacon perfectly cooked. And less than $10. Amazing! Lots of other menu items to come back for: milkshakes, fish and chips, curly fries and onion rings, meatloaf and prime rib sandwiches. Outdoor seating, so dress accordingly or plan to eat in your car.
Val S — Google review
Obviously the ice cream potato is the signature here, but they also have a pretty impressive menu for the size of the place. It was my first time having a monte cristo and I thought it was pretty good too.
Joshua A — Google review
Really good food, generous portions, fair price, and the ice cream potato is so fun and really good too.

Hamburger restaurant
Boise Fry Company is a well-known fast casual restaurant that prioritizes its fries, offering them with burgers on the side. The menu features seven different fry options made from Idaho potatoes in five different cuts, along with Brussels sprouts, house-made seasonings, and dipping sauces. Customers can pair their fries with various burger options such as grass-fed bison or vegan black bean burgers. Additionally, the restaurant offers a wide selection of dipping sauces to complement the fries.
Traveling through and this place was a perfect quick stop for lunch. The food and the staff were great. I'm going to be thinking about the fries and the veggie burger for a long time! My boyfriend had the bison burger and loved it too.
Sarah B — Google review
Liked the place and atmosphere that’s was it. I went to order asked for the BLT, and Truffle Parmesan fry’s. The lady asked if I wanted fountain drink and I said sure. She then asked what kind of fry’s I wanted and I said what ever goes best with the Truffle Parmesan. I went to go fill my cup from the fountain and it had a soda out of order H2O only. So paid for a soda that was not even available……. Then when I got my food I only had regular russet fry’s, not the Truffle Parmesan ones I asked for. And the BLT had one thin piece of lettuce…. Very disappointing sold item that was not available and my order messed up.
JoAnna D — Google review
My sister and I went there on a recent trip to Boise. First of all we were delighted to choose what type of potatoes they would use for our fries. We also each got the veggie burger. We could choose a flavored salt and try out a variety of dipping sauces. The young men who work there were all super friendly and the food was outstanding.
J. C — Google review
A very simple and sweet little place right by the capital! We tried the double wagyu burger and the parmesan truffle fry’s. The burger is really plain and just doesn’t have that push I hoped for but it was a decent burger, the fry’s are obviously fantastic with great texture freshness and robust flavor! They have an absolutely fantastic sauce bar and a great drink selection that really drives home the fry company’s desire to combine great flavor and atmosphere. The restaurant has very nice interior and a great view of the capital. The blueberry ketchup is actually really Good as gross as that sounds.

My family and I was passing through state to state. We came from Oregon and decided to give this spot a shot. We were so glad this was gluten free. I was happy to have my mom enjoy food like us. We all got our burgers and it was delicious. I ordered the Classic with sweet potato fries. The seasoning and sauce bar was pretty sick to see! The burger was juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious. I especially enjoyed Idaho’s fry sauce. It was sorta similar to In-N-Out special sauce but I think I prefer Idaho’s Fry Sauce instead. It went well with the burger I chose and the fries combined. The staff were helpful to accommodate and prepare gluten free procedures without cross contaminating my mom’s meal. Thank you, and we hope to come back soon.

If you love potatoes PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GO HERE. The fact that you can choose what potato you want is incredible. I had the Truffle Parmesan fries (using red potatoes) which were incredible. I was licking the tray clean. I love the fact they have multiple sauces and "salts" to put on them. The staff was friendly and extremely inviting. Can't wait to come back!
Skyler A — Google review
Got the vegan burger, which was delicious, much better than most. The fries were a generous portion and appreciated that they were not salted. You can choose from a selection of salts if you want. Fun friendly vibes inside.
Woodsyowl — Google review
Day trip to Boise, visited the Boise Fry Company since it was on IG, excellent customer service, the food was high-quality and fresh, like farm to table, burger had no fillers, I had the Classic Burger in a bowl since I'm gluten free, added cheddar cheese, avocado, and bacons since I'm off potatoes right now - the burger came as a chopped salad. My daughter had a burger plus the purple potato fries with Blueberry ketchup, loved it, would visit the Boise Fry Company when in the area again.

Fork is a cozy restaurant founded in 2011 by Cameron and Amanda Lumsden, offering modern American cuisine with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Housed in a historic landmark, the restaurant features a warm ambiance with brick and wood decor made from reclaimed materials. The menu boasts creative farm-to-table dishes such as griddled mac n' cheese, buttermilk-fried chicken, and local bread pudding.
Great place for a date or just to meetup with friends. Food is high quality and mostly a different spin on the traditional and with locally sourced ingredients. Tonight, I had the burger, which I highly recommend. Wife got the rainbow trout which she was quite pleased with though the portions were too huge to finish. Desert we had the butter cake which was delicious but also huge. Nice atmosphere. Beautiful old Boise look situated right on the main walk street with all the other restaurants. It was a quick 2 minute Lime scooter ride from our hotel. Be sure to reserve a table via Open Table as it gets busy.
John P — Google review
I tried the braised beef with a house salad. It was very good, not great. Quality salads, mixed greens. We also had trout, again very good. Also, salad with smoked salmon, very good and the roasted chicken was better than I expected. The outside seating was perfect. Service was good, waiter not much personality.
Doug D — Google review
I had visited once before about a year ago, and I finally got my husband to go with me. This is a great place to bring family, visitors, or even to get together with friends. We had a lunch date and left full and happy. I started with an Espresso Martini they called a Carajllo. It was deliciously smooth. The twist of adding lemon was fine, but I think I'd like it more without it. My husband and I then shared the following three appetizers: -Asparagus 'Fries': These were some of the thickest asparagus I've seen. The breading was great but could have used a bit more flavor. -Tomato Basil Fondue & Grilled Cheese: Honestly, I would change nothing about this dish. It's so fun and tasty. The bread keeps its crunch, which I appreciate. -Wagyu Sliders: These were my least favorite. They were a tad greasy and plain in flavor. I do always love the arugula on sliders, though!
Elyse C — Google review
Stopped in for lunch at The Fork and had a fantastic experience. We started with the grilled cheese and tomato bisque appetizer—super comforting, perfectly crispy, and great for sharing. For my main, I went with the smash burger, and it absolutely delivered—juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. It was a little on the salty side, but honestly so good that I think it should be a permanent menu item. The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about The Fork: set right in the heart of downtown Boise with gorgeous flowers surrounding the patio. We grabbed an outdoor table, which was perfect for a sunny afternoon, but the interior is just as impressive—housed in an old bank, with a cool lounge downstairs where you can actually sit in the vault. Our server, Ramon, was AWESOME. Super polite and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and keeping our water glasses full (which was much appreciated on a hot day). Overall, The Fork is a top-notch lunch spot—delicious food, excellent service, and a setting that always feels a little bit special.
Nick F — Google review
4-stars all around. We decided to walk around downtown Boise. Frankly, I was impressed. They did a good job laying out the restaurants and shops around the university area. The Fork was American cuisine done with the farm-to-fork (table) principle. We ordered the wagyu beef sliders 🍔 the fig salad 🥗 braised beef 🥩 and their famed butter cake 🍰 plus cocktails 🍸 of course. All good! Wished we also tried the asparagus fries 🍟 😉 The service was attentive and just right. This is definitely recommended if ever you’re in the Boise area. There are other interesting restaurants there to try to.
Mike — Google review
A great bar/ restaurant or maybe it's a restaurant/ bar. In any case you will not be disappointed as they hit the mark in both categories!! The chicken waffles will knock your feathers off!! The drinks will tip your scale! And the staff will delight you with good conversation.
PS — Google review
The wife and I really enjoyed our lunch visit here. Everything was solid, and the place itself is a really great space to enjoy a drink or dining experience. Wife got a lemonade cocktail and I noticed they had a great selection of local craft beers, and I chose the Sawtooth Idahome IPA. I am a cheesy guy by nature, so decided to have the fondue style grilled cheese with tomato soup. Wife chose the chop salad, and we shared the fries (the rosemary parmesan ones). Both were good, especially mine since I thought it was a good twist on presentation. I was told that I won the food battle for the meal. The atmosphere was energetic but classy, and I could see this place might be a lot of fun at night. Again, everything was pretty solid. I always explain my 4's (and try not to post any 3's or below, because I got on this platform only to broadcast positivity towards establishments), and I think we caught the salad greens on an off day, and we just didn't get the warm and fuzzy from the bartender on duty. It was efficient service, but was missing that welcoming, nice-to-meet-you service. But, this place is still a must stop for your Boise adventure, we definitely WILL come back the next time we are in town, and it is right in the heart of all of the fun on 8th. I highly recommend this place, and see you there (well, the next time we are in Boise)...

Bardenay Restaurant & Distillery in Boise is a unique dining destination located on the historic Basque Block. Housed in a former warehouse, the spacious brick venue offers a blend of Northwest cuisine and handcrafted cocktails. The menu features an array of delectable dishes such as charbroiled salmon fillet with sun-dried tomato butter, New York steak with blue cheese butter, and inventive cocktails like the cantaloupe cooler made with Bardenay vodka.
I managed to grab a few pictures of the place during a slower hours. Outdoors and indoors seating, seat yourself, I never waited in line. During a business trip I found myself returning many times because all the food I tried had unique variety of flavors. And there is just about a price range and a flavor pallet for everyone here I feel. If you drink, they have large selection on tap and a bunch of specialties. I posted those specialties in the pictures. If I couldn’t make up my mind for a place to eat, I just showed up here in downtown Boise. From soups, to steaks, to fish, to wanting a full meal to wanting a lighter snack, they had something. And it all tasted unique to me. Servers were all pretty kind and fun to talk to as well. This will become a stop for me next time I pass through Boise.
Kip C — Google review
I went to Bardenay for a lateish lunch. it was self seating. Me and my parents sat down and waited a bit for the server to bring us some water and an extra set of silverware. The food was well prepared but I found underseasoned. This might just be local taste? but I wasn't very impressed. The beer was fine, but the mocktail was good!
Peter G — Google review
Very good food! Went during the basque festival, so very busy, but they still managed to have a seat for two of us rather quickly. The food was fantastic, especially given our entrée was fish, which this far inland is hard to find good fish/seafood of any kind. The service was fast and helpful as well. Highly recommend the sea bass gnocchi or one of the trout dishes. We also had the greek fried idaho cheese, which was to die for. Had no room for dessert by the end, so we will be back to try that next time. The only downside is that it is a very open setting, so kinda hard to hear sometimes when it is busy. Still recommend for a date, get together, or any other occasion!
Arie S — Google review
The food and service were good. I recommend the burger. Beers were great. The only thing I didn't like was the Ahi seared tuna, which I think was cooked too long Otherwise, it's in a great location.
Derek B — Google review
Incredible experience, the atmosphere was fantastic, spooky decorations were fantastic. The staff was fantastic and attentive to group needs and special dietary needs. The Tenderloin Mushroom Pasta was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked to medium.
Kaylee A — Google review
Good location downtown. Great and fast service. Good beer selection, plus some of their own spirits mixed in with a lot of classics. Food is also excellent.
Chad N — Google review
Great service and the food was delicious. Our cocktails sounded amazing on the menu -- creative expressions with a wide variety of spirits...but in actuality they tasted really basic. Ex. My Forgive & Fernet sounded complex and nuanced, but it was delivered as a simple whiskey sour without even a garnish. Not bad, but not as advertised either.
Michael H — Google review
First time visit. Near our hotel so we could walk. Seated right away. We had made it in time for happy hour. We ordered the wings for an appetizer, Dinner was tenderloin mushroom pasta, this was tender meat, cooked perfectly with the pasta and mushrooms tender and melt in your mouth yummy. Cod and chips, first batch was cold, asked our server for a warm order of this, came back with a fresh made order, fish was hot, nice crisp on the outside and fish was good. Fries were hot, coleslaw was a nice compliment to fish. Lemon drop martini, Sunday paper martini- spicy and old fashioned

Tango's Empanadas in Boise is a beloved local spot known for its authentic Argentinean empanadas and sub sandwiches. With two locations, this family-owned gem offers an array of flavorful and perfectly flaky empanadas at affordable prices. The owner, originally from Buenos Aires, brings a taste of Argentina to Idaho with these half-moon-shaped pastries filled with various options like cheese, meat, veggies, or dessert fillings.
Seriously the best empanadas! The crust is so buttery and yummy and the fillings are flavorful. I need to try more flavors, but recently I tried the Gaucho and the cheeseburger. Both were great, gaucho was my favorite!
Jessica O — Google review
Tango's is a critically acclaimed wonder of culinary delight, and we had to stop in for a snack as we made our way through Boise for the last leg of our road trip. We had heard nothing but good about the food and the service, hailed by many as the best empenadas north of the border. We were not disappointed. Staff were polite and helpful, and the space was small but comfortable. The empenadas themselves were absolutely perfect, in texture, flavor, and consistency. I particulary enjoyed the "Rancho", a bean and pork masterpiece. We savored every single bite, so much so that we had to pick up a a few to take with us before we left. You would be remiss to miss an opportunity to stop by Tango's, should you get a chance!
Blue — Google review
Tangos is the place to be! I’ve never had empanadas before but theirs have me hooked, the breading is thick enough to hold in the juice and filling, but not so thick you feel like you’re eating mostly dough. The filling is packed with flavor, my personal favorite is the Tinga. They also have dessert empanadas, delicious. The young man at the register was very kind and patient as we figured out what we wanted, and the staff that came through were kind and smiled at us. Please visit and support their business.

We loved these Empanadas so much yesterday that we had to return to try more flavors. My favorite was the Chimicarne. I highly recommend this shop!
Lynae W — Google review
Oh my God! 5/5 all the way!!!!! I ordered 6 of these absolutely amazing, heavily pastries and it was not enough to fulfill my hunger because they were so good. My first impression was that I couldn’t believe damn big that menu is. Seriously. You’re gonna have a fun time if you didn’t study beforehand because I did and I was still floored over how indecisive I was! After staring at the menu for what seemed like forever I finally picked two beef empanadas ($3.75-$4.00), Gaucho (Argentina original. Ground beef, eggs, olives, onions, bell peppers and spices) and Saltena (from Salta, Argentina. Ground beef, onion, eggs and potatoes). Of the two, the Gaucho was the one for me. It was full of flavor, super stuffed and piping hot! Saltena is great as well, tasted like taco seasoning but authentic. From the chicken menu I picked the Gardel (chicken in light marinara sauce, $3.75). Super good! The chicken was tender and juicy. Whatever spices were thrown in there created a fantastic taste. For our pork option, I chose the Rancho (house made refried beans, in-house Mexican chorizo, cheddar cheese and jalapenos, $3.75). Whew, this was a spicy one. They don’t tread lightly on the jalapenos, FYI. This empanada was exquisite, my favorite out off all the savory choices. Of course, I couldn’t dare skip out on the dessert empanadas. The Chocolate (dulce de leche, creame cheese and chocolate chips) and La Nona (dulce de leche and bananas) are out of this damn world!!! Extremely sweet, I’ve been dreaming about these since I tried them. Tango’s is such a blessing to Boise! I cannot wait to go back so so soon!!
Amanda — Google review
Sooooooo good! We got a whole box full of empenadas and split them up. The Mac and cheese was definitely a favorite! The meats were great! The desserts were great! We will definitely be back here to try more! Quite a good sized menu too!

Very tasty empanadas! Busy place, everyone knows about it, 19 years in biz… Welcome to Argentina in Idaho!

Smal quaint spot on orchard . Fairly steady parking was difficult the lot needs repairs . We ordered the BBQ,lengucia, chimicarne Chilli con Carne with sour cream, and a la plata dessert empenada. The chimi was a staff pick was very wet and the dough was soggy on the bottom kinda sad because the meat was very tender. Yet bland and oily The BBQ was very good could have used a stronger BBQ flavor but the empenada held up and the meat again was perfectly cooked. The lenguica lacked a sauce and when it cooked all the ingredients went to one side so half had nothing in it . And had bout 7 small slices of lengica total . The Chilli was so blend all you tasted was sour cream but the pocket held up to the challenge . My fave was the la Plata it was a strawberry and cream not super sweet so perfect for me and dusted with powdered sugar . That one was the winner for me. Will go back to try some of their authentic flavors but so far the savory ones were bland . As for the prices they are perfectly priced so you can try more than one and not break the bank. And portions were great when sharing to get the experiance .

The Basque Market in Boise offers a delightful experience of Spanish and Basque cuisine. Visitors can indulge in tapas, paella, and bocadillos while also enjoying wine tastings and cooking classes. The market showcases the city's rich Basque immigrant community through its diverse culinary offerings. With over 150 types of Spanish wine, imported olive oils, canned anchovies, peppers, and other pantry items available for purchase, it's a haven for food enthusiasts.
The last visit to Boise, the Market was closed, so we made sure to make our next trip when it was open. So glad we did, service was exceptional, we were seated in the front window, quaint surroundings, it was very nice. We ordered an excellent bottle of wine and some lunch. All was tremendous, loved our visit, just what we expected, the market over delivered with service and delicious food.

Small grocery and restaurant. Tapas/pinxtos are made to order, unlike in Spain were they are on display and you just point at what you want. I ordered the ham(jamon) croquets, they looked like tater tots but tasted like warm cheese that melted in your mouth. I enjoyed the wine. Maybe best if you a seeking a basque ingredient. I found it kind pricey for what it was.

This was our last vacation meal before leaving Boise and we purposely toured the Basque museum across the street before coming here and timed it so we would be early (before 11:30am) so we could get a spot on the patio and watch the Paella come together. Wednesday is one of the two days that Paella is made on the patio and there are limited tables outside. He is pictured making 60 servings and you can call in advance to reserve. You have the option to eat there or fill a carry-out container. The patio and restaurant are amazing for their atmosphere. Pictures of the Paella and chef are welcomed and he is super nice with quick wit! I had the Paella and shared tapas with my wife. Everything about our visit, especially the food, was amazing! I highly recommend!!

This was such good food. The patatas bravas were better than ones we had in Spain. All the dishes we had were perfect in every way. Seasoning, balance of flavor, and presentation. The Gildas and Shepard bread were surprise hits that we will always come back for. Service was excellent and the market atmosphere is cozy and well decorated. This is a gem. Loved it so much. Can't wait to be back in Boise to enjoy more Basque treats.

I cannot say enough about the Basque Market's many charms, from the market of authentic ingredients, to the warm, pet-friendly service, to the glorious food you can eat on-premises, inside and out. I would LIVE here if I could. They have a special "3 for $6" pintxos/tapas (small bites) special going on, as well as paella on Wed. and Fri. My husband and I were blown away by the options, especially my shrimp baguette tapa and the patatas bravas that were so crispy and soft and mildly spiced and addictive. My husband marveled at the buttery, crispy chunk of bread served with his beef meatballs swimming in pepper, tomato sauce. I love Marcona almonds but can't find them anywhere, other than specialty shops far from where we live in Twin Falls, ID. Luckily, this market has them, spiced, and MORE (we went home with a Spanish cheese and chorizo sausage, too). We'll be back, often, to try the other dishes.

This place was so good on every level. They were welcoming of our giant pup which was so nice. The patio is great. The stuffed peppers were amazing! Wine was also excellent and staff was so nice and knowledgeable.

I'm going to learn Basque cuisine. Absolutely delicious tapas and quality above the ordinary. Each flavor profile builds up on itself. Every component builds upon the other so you're led on an exquisite journey of delectable culture. A masterpiece... Complete. For more reviews feel free to follow me on Google.

Meat and cheese plate made a delicious and filling lunch while exploring the Basque Block. Almonds and olives paired well with several types of cheese and meats. There was also a large selection of wines as well as cider. Gift shop had many specialty items. My favorite meal in Boise!

BACON Boise is a casual bistro that offers a varied bacon menu for breakfast and lunch, including vegetarian options. The restaurant takes its bacon seriously, serving dishes like bacon lasagna, bacon burgers, and offering a sampler of five different types of bacon to pair with a bacon bloody Mary. Additionally, they offer delivery through their downtown 'bacon bike.'
The BEST cinnamon roll ever! It has a fully cooked, yet perfectly moist interior, complimented by maple and bacon. None of the flavors overwhelmed the others, making every bite superb. The cinnamon roll is also large enough to share! Hubby came for the bacon and loved the bacon shots... a flight of each of their bacon flavors. They were all so good that he couldn't pick a favorite! This was a stop for us while traveling cross country and definitely worth it! (edited for spelling)

Bacon Boise - A Bacon Lover’s Paradise! If you haven’t visited Bacon Boise yet, you’re truly missing out. This place is a bacon lover’s dream, and I’m not just talking about regular bacon – their in-house creations are next level. First, let’s talk about the Beignets – they are to die for! Light, fluffy, and warm, dusted with white powdered sugar, and paired with raspberry jelly. I just devoured five pieces without blinking an eye. Seriously, they’re THAT good. 😋 Now, onto the real star of the show: Bacon Shots. This sampler lets you try all of their signature, made-in-house bacon varieties: • Berryhill Bacon: Their traditional bacon, with a slight sweetness that makes it unique and absolutely mouthwatering. • Spicy Hot Bacon: If you love a bit of heat, this is your bacon. The peppery kick lingers on your tongue in the best way possible. • Maple Rosemary Bacon: Sweet, savory, and fragrant, with the perfect balance of maple syrup and rosemary. If you’re a rosemary fan, this one’s for you. • Candied Bacon: Perfectly sweet and addictive. This is definitely a favorite for kids (or anyone with a sweet tooth!). • Pantry Bacon: The rotating special – which has coffee on the bacon. While not my personal favorite, it’s still pretty tasty and definitely worth trying. The atmosphere at Bacon Boise is cozy and welcoming, with large wooden tables for families and intimate high-tops for two. The menu offers a great variety, from starters to hearty breakfast and brunch options. Plus, their patio is perfect for soaking up the sun on a warm day. Service is excellent and I enjoyed the conversation while enjoying the bar seats. If you’re craving bacon – or just a good meal in a fun and friendly setting – Bacon Boise is the place to be! 🥓. You can also purchase your favorite bacon for about $18 a bag to take with you!

First of all.. EMERSON! (I hope I spelled his name correctly) he was above and beyond with his kindness and customer service! We encountered another employee and she was not as kind. Emerson also went out of his way to make sure we were 100% and more happy and satisfied with our whole experience. The food was fantastic and we absolutely will be back! We ordered far more than we could eat so that we could try more! Very delicious! They have bagged bacon as well, my 10 he old son insisted we buy 3!

Best bacon I have ever eaten. The food and service was perfect! I could not ask for anything better. The staff and atmosphere were also very nice and welcoming. I love this place. There’s also a cool safe in the basement.

An amazing experience! The food is unique, service was quick. We had the bacon flight, French toast, Benny Hill, bacon and cheddar scones and beignets! Highly recommend going for the experience and the delicious food!

Got the “Arizona.” It wasn’t warm. Which is weird for fried chicken and gravy… I asked to trade it for oatmeal (thinking it’s a quick, safe option that’s easy to make hot), but the oatmeal was also cold. The self-serve drip coffee was hot though. So, I’d recommend that instead.

Soooo good! I got the virgin spicy bloody Mary with they're homemade bacon and it tasted like heaven! Pair that with the Benny Hill Benedict with chipotle hollandaise sauce, perfection. Will definitely be brunching here again.

Capri is a well-known diner in Boise, Idaho that offers hearty American breakfast and lunch favorites in an informal atmosphere. The diner has been a staple in the city for many years and is often recommended by locals as a must-try spot for breakfast or brunch. The menu features various classic dishes that are sure to please even the most discerning diner, making Capri a great option for any occasion. Plus, the friendly staff makes dining at Capri an enjoyable experience.
Capri is a fantastic spot, the real deal when it comes to a classic American diner experience. We absolutely loved the food! We ordered two breakfast specials, and everything was delicious and generously served. The service was great, friendly, fast, and attentive. The atmosphere feels straight out of a movie, truly capturing that authentic American diner vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a genuine and memorable breakfast!

This is an old school, greasy spoon, cafe type of joint. If that's your thing, you'll probably dig it. Fast, friendly, and attentive service and fair portions for the price. But there's nothing here that's going to 'wow' you if you're a foodie. *I found the claim to famous biscuits and gravy to be little more than marketing hyperbole... Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this place, I just wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

A True Boise Gem: The Capri Restaurant Saturday morning with four friends turned into a delightful reunion when we ran into two more friends at The Capri. It’s the kind of place where that just happens, a testament to its status as a true Boise institution. This hidden gem on Fairview is a must-visit, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a classic, delicious breakfast or lunch. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Our server was wonderful, attentive, and handled our growing party with grace. The food was absolutely fantastic; a perfect example of home-style cooking done right. Every dish was full of flavor, and the portions were generous, exactly what you want from a classic diner. Beyond the delicious food and excellent service, part of what makes The Capri so special is its welcoming atmosphere and traditional feel. It's a place that feels like it's been a part of the community forever, with a sense of history that's evident the moment you walk in. The restaurant even has a connection to another local icon, with the two businesses often co-branded and even opening a joint location in Meridian. The Capri is also the proud home of Rudy the Rooster, a beloved Boise icon. If you're looking for a taste of old-school Boise with a welcoming atmosphere, fantastic food, and a bit of local charm, The Capri is the place to go. It’s a hidden gem that feels like a warm hug, and it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

If you're looking for the old 70-80s diner style restaurant this is it. The place is always busy. It's a clean friendly and busy atmosphere. You seat yourself at a clean table and someone will come to get you situated. Our party of two (1st timers here) ordered huckleberry pancakes, sweet corn waffles and biscuits and gravy to share. That sweet corn waffle from their "specials" menu was our favorite. Glad we gave it a try. I want to go back for it before it's gone. Our waitress was delightful and I look forward to returning.

The perfect diner with great food! I don't think the interior has changed in 50 years. The service is always good and parking is not a problem.

This is a great diner to grab breakfast in the morning, it reminds me of the diner in Seinfeld, the staff is amazing and have all worked together for a long time and it makes the business run smooth, food comes out hot and fast l, and always taste great. I always bring visitors here for a meal and we always leave happy. The waitress’s are literally pros very fast and very sweet and kind no matter how busy they get they will find time to make your visit feel like you are a long time patron.

We absolutely love the Capri as far as the food and service is concerned. What we don’t like is that during our last few visits there have twice been dogs in the restaurant. This morning the dog was sitting in a booth with its owners (I assume). The dog had it’s head on the table more than once. Neither time were the dogs marked as service animals. We are dog lovers ourselves but do not feel it’s appropriate to have them be in an eating establishment.

Burger Belly is a hidden gem in Boise, offering a secret menu item called the Belly Burger, which is a double bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, special sauce and hashbrowns. The combo includes hot and crispy fries and a 12oz drink. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that everything meets your satisfaction. Despite some minor misunderstandings about dietary restrictions and side orders, the burgers are delicious. The outdoor eating area adds to the charm of this place.
Burger Belly offers great quality of burgers, one of the best I have tried so far in Boise, the patties are at the right cooking time and are juicy and delicious, the buns are not dry and coarse and fit well with the veggies and patties. The fingers steaks are also amazing that they are slightly pre seasoned with spices that give them a special flavor. The indoor vibe is retro and cozy like an 80’s dinner with tons of Bronco’s collections. The staff are friendly and welcoming, highly recommended.

French fries were the best part of lunch. Ordered the special burger and special shake. Hamburger had good flavors with the jalapeño and bacon but a dry burger and thin bun. Special milkshake was $6 and came in a small cup and looked and tasted like a very thin vanilla milkshake with some artificial peach flavoring in it. Didn’t seem that busy but took a minute for the burgers to come out and everyone was finished with their burgers before the drinks (shakes) came out. Tried to get some water to have something to drink with the food but the water jug was empty.

I have never left a bad review before, but I just tasted the worst burger of my life! They use the cheapest ingredients possible, and the best way I can describe the texture of the 'meat' is what I think chewing on a flip flop would be. I hope the unpleasant memory of eating this food goes away soon... yuck!!! Also, why 4.5 stars?!?! I am ashamed of all of you, and partially blame you for our experience... do better!

A delicious bacon cheeseburger. Hard to beat the price, for the quality you recieve. Enjoyed a Cherry Huckleberry milkshake. Between the two items my order totaled to be $15. A fair price in my honest opinion. The staff was kind and efficient. Always gotta give respect to the employees that work on Sundays. The milkshake was pretty small but was just the right thing to pair with the burger. Bacon Cheeseburger 8.4/10, Huckleberry Cherry Shake 7.5/10. Overall a Great place to relax and get a bite to eat or catch up with friends/family. Can see myself returning in the near future!!

Bittercreek Alehouse is an environmentally conscious establishment that offers a diverse selection of draft microbrews and locally sourced pub food. It shares ownership with the neighboring Red Feather Lounge, providing a comprehensive experience for beer and cocktail enthusiasts alike. The alehouse boasts an extensive menu of rotating tap brews categorized by flavor profiles, making it accessible for patrons to choose their drinks. Additionally, its affiliation with Boise Fry Co.
Dropped into Bittercreek Alehouse for a cheeseburger and it was fantastic! Perfect cook on the burger, toasted bun, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion fresh, clean, and crisp. This burger was delicious. Solid beer / wine / cocktail selections and overall cleanliness was on point (Read outdoor tables were clean / not sticky, and I always appreciate a cloth napkin). Stopped here for drinks twice and lunch once. I mention this because I would really like to foot-stomp the 10-star customer service. Our water Samuel was welcoming, courteous and took exceptional care of us during lunch. Also, during our other evening ‘hydrating’ stops, the rest of the staff was also extremely friendly and welcoming across the board. Holding doors, quickly grabbing condiments, transferring a check to the bar without asking us to close out and reopen our tab (hate that), not rushing customers – just an overall great experience. Definitely recommend. Thank you, Samuel, Gretchen and the overall Bittercreek team! See you soon.
Brian — Google review
Bittercreek Alehouse gets shocking stellar reviews. But it's just not a great restaurant. It's located in a popular tourist area and it's relatively easy to find a table. But the food is quite a letdown. The poutine features a very heavy gravy that is too overpowering, not to mention lacking the authenticity of a good Canadian poutine. The only redeeming quality were the cheese curds. The fries were tasteless and extremely disappointing for a region that prides themselves on potatoes. And while the burgers are incredibly creative, they lack quality.
Wade W — Google review
Strolling along 8th street and found a nice place to eat dinner. We sat outside and was pleasant with the heaters going. We had the Poutine for a stater and then shared the Wild Coho Salmon with Caesar Salad. Food was great and Amaya was a great server.
Mind T — Google review
I stopped by Bittercreek for a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere—lots of seating options both inside and out. We grabbed a spot on the patio, which was perfect for a little people-watching and enjoying the sunshine. I ordered the cobb salad and was impressed by how flavorful everything was. The portion was more than generous, with plenty of fresh toppings and a nice balance of ingredients. My friend had the chicken sandwich, which also looked hearty and well-prepared. Service was friendly and our server checked in on us a couple of times, but it did take about 35 minutes for our food to come out. That felt a bit long, especially since we just had salads and sandwiches. Still, the staff’s positive attitude made up for the wait. Overall, Bittercreek is a solid spot if you’re not in a huge rush—good food, friendly faces, and a comfortable spot to relax. I’d definitely come back, maybe with a bit more time to spare.

Someone recommended this establishment and I’m glad I took their advice. Great beer selection, well-poured cocktails and the food was especially good. A great poutine that hit the spot after a long work day…

Huntsman burger was one of the best burgers I have ever tried. The Orange Whip Hazy IPA was amazing. Service was excellent. Only thing I didn’t love was the place is very loud/busy inside (so I sat outside since the weather was perfect).

We had a great time at Bittercreek Alehouse in downtown Boise! The atmosphere is lively and casual, perfect for an evening out. The selection of local beers is excellent — lots of craft options to choose from, and the staff really know their recommendations. The food was tasty and nicely presented, especially the burgers and fries. Portion sizes were good, and everything came out fresh. Service was friendly and efficient, though it got a bit busy at peak hours, which made things slightly slower — but still very pleasant overall. A great spot for good food, local beer, and a fun Boise vibe.

If you're in Boise and craving a slice of authentic New York-style pizza, look no further than Guido's Original NY Style Pizzeria. This beloved local gem has been serving up delicious, hand-tossed thin-crust pies for nearly 28 years. With its casual vibe and straightforward menu, it's the perfect spot for those who appreciate classic Italian fare without any fuss.
My 14 year old son loves this place and even though I offered him anywhere to eat downtown he chose this two days in a row. Close to the hospital and walking downtown.

Very smokey and hot inside. Outside was a beautiful night but flies everywhere.. Pizza was pretty tasty (7.8) despite being see-through floppy crust.
Dan C — Google review
Affordable New York style pizza slices where they toss it in the oven to reheat it. I tried a slice of pepperoni and special with onion and olive oil sauce. They encourage folding your slice but offer silverware if you must cut it. Pizza had a crisp crust but lacked a little cheese to get 5 stars. That being said, 2 slices and a soda was under $10!
Trypp A — Google review
Heard so much about this place and was severely underwhelmed. First off, the pizza was huge, I loved how big it was and I loved the thinness of the crust, and also the size of each slice. Thats where the good stops. I ordered their red and their white pizza. The red was not too bad, but nothing to rant and rave over like ive seen people do online. It was mid at best. Then came the white pizza, worst white pizza I've ever had. The white sauce was non existent, it was just cheese on dough. Then there was a whole issue with topings. They didnt offer any premium pizzas, just a "base" pizza then you add the toppings you want. The problem comes though when they charge $22 for just a base and then $3 a topping after that, yes even for black olives, or other cheap veggies, all toppings $3 each. I did order online, maybe that was my problem, but still their problem not mine.
Clint — Google review
It was okay. The pizza was good, but nothing special. We ate outside because the inside was dark and hot. Service was mixed. The girl who grabbed our pizza was really nice. The guy who checked us out was quiet to the point of being rude. Not worth going out of our way to come here again. I'd recommend it if you live within walking distance though.
Jacob H — Google review
Was really looking forward to the order after seeing other reviews, but the pizza was dry, unflavorful, sauceless, and about the thinnest pizza I've ever seen. Maybe that's how they do it in New York but hard pass next time. I've had gas station pizza better than this. On the plus side, the folks that work there were nice and there was decent service. But the product at the end of the day is subpar at best.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel like it was necessary here. Cocktails were decent. The food was ROUGH. We go out a few times a week, and just have not had that bad of food for a very long time. The worst part was we asked if the bread was moldy, and they took it back to look at it, then said they were pretty sure it wasn’t, but just in case to eat around it ????!(the moldy/fuzzy part), and still charged us! I was super nice about it but holy cow. Then we tried the mushroom soup, which, for mushroom people… it was a gray thick glob of sadness :,(. Just avoid .

We caught a weekend brunch here, and we are so glad we went. We had limited days in town, and my wife had this as her #1 researched brunch place pre-trip. Fiona was our bartender, and we were her first bar customers. She greeted us with high energy, and her service was spotless for our visit. The food and drink ended up being fantastic too, but she really put the exclamation point on our visit overall. I kept it simple with beer, but my wife had two excellent cocktails while there. I admittedly neglected to write down the exact name of them, but my notes say they were a lavender tea drink and an herby Cosmopolitan. Just ask Fiona or whoever is behind the bar when you go. They will lead you the correct way. Picture of one is below. Anyway, I had the short rib hash and the wife had the eggs in purgatory, and both were incredible. The atmosphere was really unique. It was a cool brunch or nice any-meal place, but you could also tell it might get pretty fun at night. The wine cellar was so cool, and we asked to go check it out. Really cool area. Food, drink, and service were easily five star. We loved our experience here, I would highly recommend you checking it out, and see you there (the next time we are in Boise)...

I stopped at Red Feather to get a quick bite to go. I was a little confused about the dual restaurant thing, half of the building is Red Feather and the other half is Bitterhouse and depending on where you sit dictates which menu. It would be helpful to have a menu for both posted outside the restaurant so the person can see the two options. It’s seat yourself which I imagine is hard on the servers if they don’t see you come in, I sat for a while before someone noticed me. I ordered the meatballs to go. They were pretty good, I would’ve loved some spiciness to them. There were other things on the menu I wanted to try, good amount of non alcoholic drinks too.

Enjoyed a great brunch today! First time at Red Feather and glad I finally made a point to try it. Service was friendly and fast and the restaurant has a cozy vibe even though it is two stories and quite roomy. I had eggs Benedict and a waffle both of which were tasty. Lots of great and yummy choices on the menu. My husband had one of the skillet scrambles and our friend had chicken and biscuits which also tasted great.

Fantastic customer service. I was part of a large group and they were very friendly and accommodating. They had a great cocktail menu. The food menu was interesting and had a wide variety but execution wasn't 5 star, still good. I had a caesar salad, but couldn't really taste much dressing. I also had a pasta dish. The pasta was very oily, but the flavor was good.

Tin Roof Tacos is a no-frills Mexican eatery in Boise, founded by two sisters from Texas. The restaurant offers a variety of unique tacos at affordable prices, with options like Baja Shrimp, Black Bean, Texican, and BBQ Brisket. Known for its fast service and locally beloved status, Tin Roof Tacos also operates as a food truck in West Boise. The menu includes made-from-scratch ingredients such as tortillas and features a popular carne asada taco.
Fast casual taco place, ordered to go. Tacos were great: tried the fried fish, fajita beef & Tin Roof taco. All were good, the fried fish was my favorite (with green salsa). Also tried a side of the street corn, enjoyed the fresh tomatoes on top & that they served in a bowl vs on the cob. Service was good, what you would expect of a fast casual place. Prices were appropriate $2.50 for veggie tacos & $3 for protein varieties. Tacos are on the smaller side, would recommend 3-4 if you’re really hungry. Would definitely come back!

Outstanding tacos! Lots of variety. This isn’t what I would call authentic but the different flavors were interesting and tasty. All of the ingredients seemed very fresh and high quality. It’s a popular place so plan ahead if you’re going during peak times.

First time (2 weeks ago photo) was 5 Stars! We liked it so much that we drove 25 miles today for more tacos, only to be so disappointed. Shrimp taco had tails on the shrimp and not the same shrimp, looked like deep fried batter dipped. Half the Ingredients were missing and I wish I had took a photo to show today’s tacos. Staff seemed more focused on talking than making the tacos the way they should be made.

We loved your tacos! Thank you for having yummy food at good prices. Things are so expensive right now but we were finally able to eat out at your place given the reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back! Please build a Tin Roof Tacos in Eagle, Emmett, & more around Meridian!😊🌮🌮🥤

Food is alright. They are very fast each time I go in which is a plus. Small portions especially on the steak tacos- I had to pull out a magnifying glass to find the steak on the taco. My chicken tacos were cold. I would recommend the shrimp tacos out of what I have had.

We use the Tin Roof taco truck for a wedding reception, and it was such a huge hit! April was awesome to work with. Her team was on site and ready to go on time. They had chips and salsa and guac and queso all ready for cocktail hour and set up so right right guests were coming over, Everything was ready. for dinner, guests could come over table by table and order 3 of the 5 options. It only took about a minute because they had a lot of the food pre-prepared and ready to assemble based on what the guest wanted. So no long lines !! April and her team were on it and Quick and really great about getting people through the line quickly so they could eat their dinner This was such a fun addition to our reception and all of our guests just raved how great the tacos were . If you love, language is tacos this is your sign to get a taco truck and have Tin Roof come cater your wedding !

Experience was great, staff were kind and helpful, pretty efficient - but the actual taste and quality of the tacos wasn't what you would expect for a taco specific place. We tried 7 different kinds of tacos and only really "liked" 1 of them. Corn Tortillas, Kind of soggy. Not a lot of flavor. Wouldn't seek it out intentionally to eat there again. They do give a large serving size of Guacamole though for only a few dollars :)

Always a great go to taco place that's tasty and affordable. My only complaint is it's very hard to get breakfast tacos ordered for pickup- i get an estimated wait of at least 2 hours Everytime - which pushes out to lunch period, so at this point it's just easier to go in person if you want tacos as early as me lol

The Wylder is a trendy and modern restaurant in Boise that has quickly become a local favorite. With its 50-year-old sourdough bread starter and secret family recipes, this eatery offers an array of delectable dishes such as slow batch pizza, flavorful salads, and mouthwatering desserts.
Such a great pizzeria in the heart of Boise. It’s been on my list for a while now and I finally got to stop by. Cool city vibe without being pretentious. Excellent hosting and table service. I came with lots of questions and our server nailed every one of them. The salads and appetizers are bursting with flavor and thoughtful preparation. And the sourdough pizza crust is made with skill and love. Light, crispy, tender and digestible. A real gem. They have won best pizza in Idaho, and for good reason. I do think their prices were a little low for the quality they served up, but I won’t complain. Great jobs Wylder! I’ll be back.
Bill C — Google review
Stopped by The Wylder recently for lunch and was really impressed overall. I went with the fried chicken sandwich and paired it with their house salad. The sandwich was crispy and flavorful, with a nice kick from the spicy mustard & apples and a soft bun that held everything together. The house salad was fresh and well-dressed—a perfect light balance to the richness of the sandwich. Portions were generous, and everything came out looking appetizing. Service stood out as a highlight here. Our server was friendly, attentive, and quick with refills and check-ins, which made the meal feel easy and relaxed. Even though the place was busy, we never felt rushed or overlooked. Atmosphere-wise, The Wylder has a casual vibe but is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The decor is modern but not over-the-top, and it felt like the kind of spot you could hang out in for a while. All in all, a great spot for a casual meal downtown. Solid food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu! —Visited May 2025

On a work trip to Boise and we were told about this hidden gem! Great quality food and tasty drinks. All the food pics are half eaten - bc the food was that good!! I ordered the Italian meatballs and the cauliflower with chickpeas for my appetizers. The meatballs came with fresh sourdough bread and a great marinara sauce for dipping. I ate every last bite of both appetizers. Then I ordered a pizza to go. 1/2 honey badger and the other 1/2 was a seasonal selection. Again, the pizza did not disappoint. I took it for lunch the next day. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. The wait was two hours when we arrived and they did not take reservations. We opted to sit in the bar to experience Wylder! Definitely would recommend if you so happen to be in Boise, Idaho!

We came to this restaurant perhaps expecting too much. Service was great considering the busy lunch hour, wine was good, water tasted very clean and fresh, and the sourdough was excellent :) Unfortunately, the toppings on the pizza were disappointing. The Margherita pizza was oversalted, and the mushroom pizza was sopping wet. I don't think I'll go back, at least not for the pizza.
Abigail B — Google review
I took my entire family to this restaurant because my aunt had gifted me a gift card for my recent birthday. The food and service here were excellent. The meatballs were giant, and they made their own tomato sauce fresh. The Harissa Wings tasted like a fresh, slightly spicy orange chicken. Their in-house ranch is also delicious. My adult son, who never likes ranch, loved it here. My friend enjoyed the cauliflower and chickpeas best. It was perfectly cooked and the sauce was tasty. The pizza we liked best was the honeybadger and yaya's house. They also made a great pepperoni pizza (two of my son's don't like to adventure with their food). It is pretty spendy, but you get what you pay for- fresh ingredients that take time to prepare. The parking is difficult, but that's pretty typical for downtown Boise anyway. We all enjoyed our late lunch here.

Wow! Some of the best pizza we've had since Napoli! That crust is next level good. Perfectly crispy, yet flavorful. Well aged. The flavor combinations are unreal. The honey badger was not normal for me to choose, but its popularity won me over. It did not disappoint. The Italian sausage, fresh ricotta, and spicy honey was such a genius combo. Love it! The Margherita pizza with added burrata was perfection. The kale caesar was a surprise hit. Perfectly balanced and flavorful. The wife loved her cocktails (boulevardier). Our server, Kendall, was a gem. She was the perfect host to a perfect meal.
Jason P — Google review
If you get one thing, get the meatballs. Everything else is gravy. Note: pizza dough needs more flavor but love the light delicate cheese pull.
Carol W — Google review
Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! Easily our favorite restaurant in Boise. The Honey Badger white pie is unreal. They use a 57-year old sourdough starter for the pizza and it shows. Get a side of ranch to dip the crusts in. The buttermilk market salad was also a great starter. We didn’t get the Bronco pie or fried chicken, but if we’re back in the area, this will be our first stop. Dessert was delicious, but we were so full we only had a bite each. Good to go with a group.

Ice cream shop
The STIL, short for The Sweetest Things In Life, is a trendy ice cream shop in Boise that caters to a diverse range of tastes. It's known for its modern approach to ice cream, offering vegan and dairy-free options alongside alcohol-infused flavors. This makes it a popular spot for adults looking to indulge in unique treats. The shop also offers pairing flights that combine wines or beers with different ice cream flavors.
So glad I discovered this little gem. I loved the homemade flavors that offered a great variety of new things to try. I took the clerks recommendation and split my single scoop into two halves. The ice cream was smooth and the flavors were subtle. I'll be back for sure!

What a great place to stop for a huge treat! Flights of icecream is the best invention ever! Share 8 sampling of their homemade icecream with friends. Wonderful treat! Beer and icecream flights are also pretty great idea!
Michelle D — Google review
I normally never go to ice cream places because they are so overpriced and the ice cream is just average. I recently became lactose intolerant and have missed ice cream so much. They had five different flavors of lactose and gluten free ice cream and they were all absolutely delicious. For the price to have something that genuinely tasted like regular ice cream was completely worth it. I would definitely come back here again. I tried the raspberry, mango and cookies and cream flavors. I loved them all. The gluten free cookies and cream I still dream about.
Laura H — Google review
I was guided to this ice cream shop by a local, and I just wanted to say "Thank you" random local person. I went solo the first trip. When my wife found out I went on my own, she informed me that it was already on her well-researched pre-trip list (so, we went again together). ANYWAY, this place was great. For my first trip, I had the Marky Mark and the Funky Crunch, the Bake Sale, and the Fresh Powder...all in one cup. Awesomeness. I forgot to note what I got the second time and what is pictured below, but just know that it is ALL good. Even if I said the ice cream was subpar, which I wouldn't, and it wasn't, they had two things that would make them a five regardless. One, their clever flavor combinations. You don't have to worry about going in and choosing between vanilla and chocolate. They live off the beaten path in their creations. Actually, the toughest and most fun part of the process was picking the flavors that would merge well together. Two, I am not sure if they selectively hired energetic kids behind the counter, or if working at the place just made normal kids more awesome, but we were greeted with curiosity, energy, and efficiency each of my times there. They could just go through the motions with their part-time job, but they actually elevated the whole experience. We loved our two visits here, I highly recommend this place, and see you there (the next time we are in Boise)...
Mark F — Google review
If you compile data on the highest-rated ice cream stores across the United States, the STIL (Sweetest Things In Life) in Boise is ranked an impressive 11th overall! Now, theoretically it should be unforgettable ice cream with those ratings! But locals in Boise seem to overrate their eateries, and unfortunately STIL is no exception. Despite an average customer rating of 4.77 on all platforms, the ice cream is shockingly mediocre. It doesn't even compare to decent store-bought brands, much less the life-changing creameries throughout America's top 20. Some of the flavors are creative, and of course ice cream is always good. But the ratings for STIL are way overblown!
Wade W — Google review
STIL was delicious! To have vegan and gluten free options as a majority was a nice change up from the normal. We ordered “Cookies with Grandma” (gf and vegan) which was delicious coconut with cookie pieces and “Nightcap on Eckert” which was a for those 21+ as it’s an espresso ice cream featuring cake and heath bar pieces, and is infused with kahlua. We will be back!

The Stil (Sweetest Things in Life) was sweet! Fresh, delicious ice cream! So many fun flavors to try. The worst part was choosing a few. We had a group of 5 and everyone was happy. Worth the trip.

BBQ4LIFE is a family-owned BBQ joint that offers pecan-smoked meats and a variety of vegan dishes in a relaxed, no-frills environment. Founded by siblings Sheila and Brad, the restaurant seamlessly blends their expertise in vegan cuisine with traditional BBQ favorites.
BBQ4LIFE is an amazing American style barbecue restaurant, it offers tri tips, ribs and pulled porks for straight meat and other dishes like sandwiches and burgers, they also have a good collection of vegan dishes on their menu which is not quite common in a BBQ restaurant, I feel it’s very considerate even though I’m not a vegan or vegetarian. The food is great and not overly seasoned, you can fit your own flavor by adding the sauce. The indoor vibe is great and stylish, the staff are very welcoming and attentive. Recommended.

Solid BBQ. I've never been to a place that has vegan BBQ. It's a cool idea although I admittedly only tried the vegan chili (which was actually my favorite part of the meal - SO GOOD). I got the broodwich, essentially a French toast with syrup sandwich that is filled with Mac and cheese and pulled pork. It was a decent amount of food. Friendly service. I'd go there again👍
Joseph P — Google review
Was looking forward to a good trip tip sandwich and was slightly disappointed it was chopped beef instead of strips. The bbq sauce and the bread were good. I wish I would have tried the mac and cheese because the fries surprisingly did not have good flavor. The service is amazing and I'd go back because of the friendly service.
Anthony S — Google review
The wait staff was very friendly and did an awesome job. Food was really good. We purchased a pulled pork salad and fries that I asked to be crispy and were awesome! Then he got a tri-tip sandwich with BBQ sauce and mac&cheese on the sandwich. He LOVED it. He also got a side of the baked beans that were ok. The milkshake was ok, it was too thin for my taste. I also got the gluten free & vegan dessert, a lemon bar. Which was really good and not too sweet. There were many vegan or gluten free options. Their vegan meat they use is smoked tempeh, and they have a house made veggie burger. The food took around 25 minutes or so to get to our table with very few other customers. So may take longer during regular busy hours. All-in-all, check it out!

This was our first time trying food from Idaho as we’re traveling through. Being able to have traditional Idaho specialties as vegans exceeded our expectations. The scratch-made vegan and gluten-free options were incredible. The service was so friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect for both vegans and non-vegans.

I’ve been a vegetarian for years so it’s been a while since I’ve been to a BBQ place. I was intrigued seeing this place with quite a few veggie options. A lot of it was tempeh and I’m not a big fan of tempeh so I was a bit reluctant. The tempeh salad was delicious the tempeh was crumbly and functioned almost like a crouton. didn’t really taste like tempeh. The rest of the salad was good and I even liked the spicy cashew sauce. The black bean chili was also very good. Also I didn’t leave the place feeling bloated. The rest of my family isn’t vegetarian and they all liked their meals too.

My brother and I wanted to find a good barbecue place in Boise and this was the only one open at 8 ish on a Sunday night so we came here. The second we walked in we were greeted with multiple smiles and it seemed like all the staff was genuinely happy to be there which was so refreshing! I wasn’t sure if they would be upset we were coming in 45 minutes before close as I feel like a lot of times workers start closing early and are just annoyed or bothered when customers come in close to closing time but that definitely wasn’t the case here. We both got pulled pork sandwiches with sides of their mac and cheese and they were absolutely delicious and the price and portions are unmatched. We’re so happy to have stumbled upon this gem and both agreed this will definitely be a go-to for us in the future!!
Willow S — Google review
Our family is always on the hunt for local spots when traveling and BBQ4Life did not disappoint! We had the pulled pork burger, pulled pork sandwiches, and 2 kids meals (grilled cheese and a burger). All the portions were great! The meats and sauce are 10/10. They have a great sweet tea and the kids enjoyed their strawberry lemonade. It's hard to find good vegan food (dairy intolerance in our family) and this place has THE BEST vegan desserts! We tried 3. Really, they are THAT good. We had the seasonal vegan bread pudding, vegan chocolate cake, and vegan lemon bar. All homemade and it shows <3 Kid friendly, a nice clean bathroom, and friendly staff. We will definitely be stopping here again when we're back in Boise!

So amazing! Totally worth it. Highly recommend. They are fast service. Delicious huckleberry burger. Love the Fanci Soda. I don’t remember what it was called but was the Coke, Cranberry and Lime flavor. The fries were delicious and fry sauce is always a good match. ALSO can we talk about how the small cone is so GENEROUS😮

This place has such a great vibe! I was thrilled to discover they now have their own ice cream at Albertsons. It's been a few years since I last visited, and I decided to try the huckleberry burger—it was fantastic! Despite the line, our food came out quickly. We stayed a few minutes after closing, and a staff member kindly opened the window to serve a cone to a mother and her young daughter who arrived 5 minutes after they closed the window. I was truly impressed by the level of service, which is hard to find these days. Thanks for the delicious shake and burger!

Fanci Freez is a no frills good old American style fast food kind of place. Walk up to the order window to place your order; when your name is called then go to the pickup window. Prepackaged sauces are available to liven up your fries. The little meal is plenty then follow it up with a soft serve cone and your there!

Just what you'd expect from a business that has been in town since before time began! This is just like a 1950 drive-in. Great burgers and fries and some of the best ice cream and milkshakes you'll ever find. It is ALWAYS busy. That's because it's always good. It's a fun place to go with the kids for ice cream. You can go through the drive-thru or hang out on the patio. It's just like the old days and still looks like it did 50 years ago. Every time I've been there, it's been very clean. The service is excellent, and also fairly fast for how busy they always are. The prices are fair and the people are always very nice. I would highly recommend Fanci Freez Burgers and Shakes. The experience and the old ice cream tastes are worth stopping for!

The compact, dive-like vibe and front patio make it a perfect spot to grab a quick fix and walk around downtown. Customers rave about the delicious pizza options, including vegan choices, as well as the friendly staff and quick service.
I love me a good slice of za and Pie Hole definitely delivered on that. My mom and I each got a slice then had them cut it in half so we could try each other. She got a "Drunk candy" ham and pineapple and I got slice of their local favorite featuring potato and bacon. I've never had potato on pizza, it was pretty dang good. Pros: * fun, punk atmosphere. There's so much too look at in this itty-bitty establishment * service was super fast, very short line when we went in about 6pm. Ordered and had our slices in less than 5 minutes. * affordable - 2 slices, a soda and bottle of water was $11 and some change. * there's a nice patio with big umbrellas for shade Cons: * both slices could use more sauce * the bathrooms were nasty and smelled like urine. Left me wondering how long it had been since that thing had been cleaned. All in all it was a great experience and the food was good.

Great slice and good quick service for a decent price. What’s there more to say? Easy bite to grab while crawling downtown bar to bar, AND they close late? You couldn’t ask for more. No indoor tables as of our last visit, only real seating is a smaller outdoor patio. This is ideally a stop and grab snack for bar crawling!

There are over 1K reviews for this place and not one of them mentions the concerning number of flies that are leisurely flying around inside, surely landing on all the ready-to-go slices laid out on the counter. Now, I don’t mean one or two. I spotted at least a dozen. Some flying about, others perched on soda machine and MANY sitting on the windows. I was very disappointed with this, especially since the workers were super nice. My husband said the pizza was great, but I could not get a slice for myself once I saw the flies. I don’t see how this is not a concern for the workers or the business owner.

Just loved hanging out on a cold January morning. I had a delicious avocado toast and a large mocha which was out of this world! The two gals that worked here were friendly and welcoming. And avocado toast was extraordinary. Would definitely come back here again. They have a large space and it’s conducive to kids too. Highly recommend this establishment. Absolutely delicious!! The gluten free donuts were so light and fluffy it almost makes you concerned they mixed them up with regular donuts! Cute shop and nice workers. The service was very slow and I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes but very tasty! They don’t change gloves or anything though so there is lots of cross contamination.

My sister and I stopped in while visiting Boise for a couple of days. The donuts were fabulous - such great choices! The staff were all helpful and friendly and the space itself is fun and a great place to just hang around. I loved the pistachio and my sister loved her bananas foster donut.
J. C — Google review
Is it normal for a donut shop to break up your donut just to make it fit in a box? Like… did they run out of smaller boxes for three large donuts, or was this a creative choice? To make things even better, I ordered a chocolate old-fashioned. Maybe I confused the cashier when I asked him to change his gloves after handling cash? They definitely had larger boxes sitting right there—but hey, maybe those are reserved for people classy enough to only order two donuts.
This M — Google review
It has been forever since I have had a donut from Guru. I don't think I have been in since the remodel. Guru was a hit at my wedding! Instead of cake I had a variety of donuts. Everyone couldn't get enough of them. It was later in the afternoon when I stopped in. I was in the area. I wanted a sweet treat so it was only common sense to come in. Since it was later in the afternoon, there were still a couple donut options available but not a lot. A couple sprinkled donuts, chocolate glazed rounds, chocolate bars and some coconut ones. Honestly, they all still looked hella good. I snagged a small chocolate glazed donut. It had fun sprinkles on top. The shop was getting ready to close in about 30. I sat at the window and smashed out my donut. I'm sure it was made this morning but it was still soft. It tasted so good! I probably could have had a couple more but I only needed one. I don't remember the donuts being as small as they are. This donut was pretty small but the ones I've had in the past seemed bigger. It has been a while since I have been in so I could be wrong. Eating that donut today brought me back to my wedding day. I can vividly remember how excited everyone was grabbing a donut from the "cake" table. It's amazing how something as simple as a donut could make someone relive some of their best memories. I'm happy I stopped in today. It was a great way to add a little happiness to my day.
Dani S — Google review
Overall this place is great! Great service and lots of seating. Only giving it 4/5 stars though because I didn’t love the chocolate donut that I ordered (a little too dark chocolate-y for me but maybe someone else will like it).

OMG! This pace may have over done themselves! Gluten free and not just one flavor which is extraordinary for me!!! They are cake fried doughnuts and oh so moist! The only flaw is they are a hopping spot so you may need to wait a sec in line but so worth it! Sorry I didn’t snag a pic of my gluten free healthy doughnut or my sea salt chocolate doughnut gluten free… they did separate the regular doughnuts from the rest! It did not disappoint!

Order a sandwich if you go here. This place seriously has the best sandwiches. I haven't really had much else on the menu besides the spring rolls and those are good.

This is a completely respectable bahn mi in an unsaturated market of bahn mis in Boise. I unfortunately showed up with an American Express card which was not accepted by the store but they were willing to give me a small discount since I didn't have another card. I got an egg bahn mi and a grilled beef bahn mi. I will agree with other reviewers which state they skimp on beef. You will not get full on beef alone and will likely be a little bit annoyed. The egg bahn mi was respectfully filled and delicious. They are kind and make good food.

We had the rotisserie chicken and a BBQ pork. They were both very dry. The chicken was dry and stringy, and the pork was like jerky. The egg roll was very greasy. The workers were very nice.

My experience was okay. When I went in one time, I was not greeted or helped at all. Second time, is okay. The vibe wasn’t it. My bf and I saw roaches roaming around on the floor. In my whole life of going to eat at any places, this is the only place where I go eat and see roaches roaming around. The food quality is okay.

Some places are just not for me, and I’ll have to accept that. I want to love this place! The prices are reasonable and the service was very friendly. However, I ordered a sandwich (#5 grilled beef) and it was sooooo dry and flavorless that I waited until I was home keep eating and dressed it with mayo, rice wine vinegar, and sriracha. I absolutely won’t be going back and can’t recommend the sandwich at all. I didn’t have the heart for a lower rating though just because of the service and price point. But you’ve been warned!
SJ W — Google review
Very authentic pho. I love pho and can cook it myself. I think this is the best pho in town. Very good serving for the price too. I’ve been to a lot of PHO restaurant in Boise and they don’t have much meat but this is loaded with meat and veggies and big portion of noodles too. 5/5!

Meraki Greek Street Food is a new eatery located in downtown Boise, offering Greek street food and draft beer in a simple and contemporary setting with outdoor seating. The restaurant provides the perfect healthy grab-and-go option for Boise Staters, featuring make-your-own Greek bowls and gyros. It puts a modern twist on traditional Greek street food while catering to the college crowd with items like Greek nachos, loaded fries, and Greek cheese sticks.
This place is amazing! Fresh authentic Greek street food. Pork is the way to go, but they also have Beef and Lamb Gyros. Greek beer in bottles and local beer on tap! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely a must try in the Boise area. Our new favorite quick bite stop.

Update: I called management to explain situation and they were more than willing to make it right! Offered refund or retry. We chose retry, will be giving them another shot with SAUCE ON THE SIDE. New review: CONSISTENCY! That’s all I got to say. Consistent good food is so important for me to go back to a restaurant again and again. The first time we had some of the best food ever, the second time it was inedible and we got the same thing!!! Way too much sauce!!!!! It made it inedible. I will not be back unfortunately. Original review: SOOOOOO GOOOD! All I need to say, we will be back! Got the hades gyro and Greek nachos with chicken
Robbie B — Google review
I ordered a Greek salad and a gyro with lamb. All the ingredients seemed fresh and delicious. They did notify me that they were mixing in beef with the lamb due to a shortage of lamb at the time. My salad had a ton of olives and tomatoes both which I very much enjoy so if you like those this is a great place to order a Greek salad. The girl at the front counter was pleasant and helpful and they prepared my to-go order fairly quickly. When I got back to my hotel to eat I opened up the bag and they had gotten my order correct so all was good. I was in town for work and looking for a place to eat and glad I found this restaurant. I would definitely recommend it.
Rob A — Google review
We ordered for pick up and it was SO delicious that I had to fight the kids to get a bite. Seriously try the feta fries!!! My husband had the lamb gyro and said it was super tasty. I had the Souvlaki plate with chicken that was super flavorful and loved that the chicken wasn't dried out. Their pita is super soft and the sauces very taste.
Ms T — Google review
Quick service, good food and lots of choices. The fries were seasoned really well. The chicken gyro was tasty and well made. Nice presentation and ambience, good staff too.

Meraki Greek Street Food opened a few months ago, next to P.F. Chang's in the BoDo district. Unlike Chang's, which serves typical Americanized versions of Chinese food, Meraki offers Greek food. Like the kind you would encounter in Greece. This was my first visit and as I peered up at the chalkboard menu, owner Aki Kalatzakis greeted me and started talking. He recommended a pork gyro, which he said was more traditional than the combination beef and lamb gyros (also on the menu) typically offered in American Greek restaurants. That instantly built trust in me because I have been studying Greek culture in preparation for a two-week trip to Athens and Crete in September. I have read several accounts saying pork and chicken are the most popular fillings for gyros in Greece, followed by beef and lamb, if you can find it. I ordered the pork gyro, along with a bowl of avgolemono soup, a traditional chicken soup laced with rice and a small amount of lemon juice. I finished the meal with a plate of Greek loukoumades, fried dough puffs topped with a honey syrup and walnuts. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the meal. The rest of the staff besides Aki was also friendly and engaged with other customers who came in for lunch after I arrived. They also had an interesting mix of carbonated beverages on tap, a line of craft soda pop called Stubborn Soda. I wasn't aware of that company but tried a black cherry with tarragon drink. It was very good. A table card listed a company name from Ireland. When I got home I looked them up and found it's a Pepsi company. But it was still good. This restaurant is a great addition to Boise.
John S — Google review
The new menu items are delicious! Especially, the Hades Gyro! Spicy Habanero chips and aioli make this the most unique gyro I've ever had! Of course the lamb is always on point and cooked perfectly.
Steve N — Google review
Was really hoping to enjoy this place, but no such luck. I came for a typical lamb Gyro, but they were out of lamb. Not sure how this happens just before the dinner crowd comes, but unacceptable. I went with a staff members' recommendation and go the pork. It was dry and not very flavorful. For the quality and price, I don't think I will be coming back.

If you're on the hunt for an authentic taste of New York pizza in Boise, look no further than Guido's Original New York Style Pizza Chinden. This casual pizzeria specializes in classic Italian fare, serving up delicious NYC-style pies and jumbo thin-crust slices that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Whether you pop in for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, you can grab a slice or indulge in a full 20-inch pie without any fuss.
The best pizza around - and we came in here the first time not fans of NY pizza. It’s our absolute favorite place now of all the regular Boise stops (including Flying Pie and Idaho Pizza). We get a large cheese & basil, add pepperoni/mushroom/jalepeno and add 2 alcoholic drinks and it comes to about $30. It’s a STEAL for the amount of food. It’s a divey atmosphere but we like that about it! I do think they should add a changing table in the restroom (we had to change a diaper standing in the back hallway). Our main issue that management might want to be aware of is every time we call to do a take-out order, they say the wait is 45-60 minutes. We timed our last dine-in visit after they told us 60min wait on the phone and it took 12 minutes for our pizza.
SJ W — Google review
I wish Guido's had either wood-fire, coal-fire, or gas-fire ovens, not the big electric commercial ovens. The flavor just isn't the same. I remember a foodie tour in Greenwich Village (2006) where we sampled all three fired styles of NY pizza. For a place outside Manhattan, though, Guido's is really good. The crust is a little thicker than what I remember in NY and so it doesn't have that soft fold (Guido's is a little stiffer). Also, there is no way to compare any crust to that made with limestone-filtered water from upstate NY. Good sauce and cheese. You can't beat the price at 3.50/slice. Large, just like in NY. Also, they reheat the slices in the big oven, not in a microwave as someone posted.
David B — Google review
Best pizza I have had in awhile!! Baked to perfection and not too greasy! Doordashed 2 large pizzas (1 cheese and basil add chicken and 1 white sauce) and a large order of garlic bread (be sure to order garlic sauce on the side as it makes it even better!) Very fast delivery too and still hot when it arrived! 5 stars!!! Check this place out!! I know I will again!!
Jill F — Google review
Great experience, very cool New York style pizza and atmosphere. Staff was knowledgeable about their product and presented it nicely! Not many options for pizza, but great if you like just the basics. Price is a little high for slices.

Great NY style slice. Called in and placed my pick up order with a friendly, helpful guy by the name of Daniel. Pizza was ready on time and delicious. One of my favorite places in the valley.
Daniel H — Google review
Trying to order a pizza at this location is literally like pulling teeth. They don’t answer the phone, and when they finally do, they’re less than enthusiastic. When we tried to pick up our phone order, we found that it was “given to someone else” and were asked to wait while they remake it even as the only person in the store at the time. Then, they remade it wrong and gave us one pizza when we ordered two—apparently they also lost the ticket? We ended up leaving with two pizzas still, but one was made wrong, and the other must’ve been someone else’s that they gave to us to get us to leave. I’d understand if this was a busy Friday night but as the only people in the store the whole time and calling ahead on a Sunday evening, I don’t know how this turned out to be such a headache. On top of that, the customer service is just terrible from start to finish. It sucks because we like the pizza and live right around the corner, but after this experience I don’t think we’ll be going back.

The guy with the Tattooed left arm selve is a real jerk! My wife and I usally order and pick our pizza up. That's it. The other day we were nearby and decided to go in order and wait. While we waited I looked at the sliced pizza. I went to the end and there was a pizza that I couldn't tell what was in it. The guy rolling dough and he asked me if I needed some help. I asked him what was that pizza. He said "It's the specialty pizza" and he went back to rolling dough and talked to his buddy. I figured maybe I missed where it was written. So I looked around (standing there) for while. No where was it listed. Finally another emplyee came over and asked me if I needed helped. I asked him what was the pizza. He said that it was the specialty pizza and named off what was on it. I thanked him and then the original guy looked up and I thanked him. However, my tone and look was "You're a jerk". I did not get a slice. We got our pizza. He knew what he had done because when we left he looked up and tried to give me a head nod. Really funny! You want to be a jerk go do it to someone else. We'll may go back, but order over the phone and pick it up. One more chance. I cannot judge the other guys based on a jerk. He was rude and a jerk.

I came here with my boyfriend. The cashier helped suggest slices. We got the 1 slice and drink special, it was a good price! The table was clean and spacious. The crust was nice and fluffy and had a nice crunch. I liked the pepperoni and cheese. I'll be coming back

I’ve visited this location for various reasons no less than 30 times over the last few years. I stand by my belief this is the absolute #1 pizza by the slice location in downtown Boise. Yes, better than Guido’s and Pie Hole! Keep it up, guys!

I used to love this place. It was my go to pizza place. Ordered once a month minimum. Now I rarely order because I have no idea if my food will be burned. I started making notes on the delivery order to make sure it wasn't burned. Last night had friends over and ordered and forgot to add the note and the pizza was black on the bottom. We basically ate what parts we could and the toppings off the pizza. I can never remember his name but the long hair delivery driver is awesome and great personality. He definitely is an asset to the company.

Amazing Calzone. Solid service. Inviting atmosphere. What more can we ask for? Crust is crisp on the outside (HATE HATE HATE!!! “doughy”) Tender and light on the inside. Solid selection of draft beer. Decent pricing , amazing flavor, like this “slaps” (as the kids say) on about 13 different levels. Attaboyizes!!! AttaWellDun!!!!

Alyonka Russian Cuisine in Boise offers an intimate dining experience with outdoor seating, serving up authentic Russian dishes prepared to perfection. The menu features classic Russian favorites like borsht, beef stroganoff, and piroshkis, as well as delicacies such as the exquisite Shuba. Owned and operated by Elena DeYoung, who hails from the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, this cozy restaurant is a gem in the Boise dining scene.
This place is easily one of the best restaurants in Boise. The staff is very friendly and the space is intimate and tasteful. The food is outstanding without being overly reliant on salt or oil. The natural flavors of the ingredients are brought out in each dish and are complimented well by the generous dill and green onion garnish. Definitely get the cabbage rolls if they are available! The tomato sauce it comes with is incredible with the rice.

My husband and I stopped in on a whim and we started with the iced Hibiscus tea which was delicious! Please if you’re going to get a drink that’s non alcoholic let it be this one! So refreshing! We ordered the beef stroganoff and Elena’s favorite dish (chicken cutlets) everything was seriously so perfectly flavored. The host was nice and knowledgeable. 100% will be returning.
Kayla R — Google review
I visited Alyonka’s for the first time last Friday. I loved every bite I had. I started the meal with a bowl of borscht. The portions are generous and the soup is perfect for a cold day. It’s a vegetable soup but it’s very hardy and it’s made with love. You can taste it wasn’t cooked in a rush and then frozen like most places. Then I had both the Plov and Beef Stroganoff. The Stroganoff was tender and flavorful, but the plov was absolutely delicious. I didn’t expect it to taste so good. Lamb, perfectly cooked rice, carrots, garlic. A traditional dish cooked with care. Finally I had the dessert platter. I enjoyed every single thing, but the honey cake was the best. Not too sweet and a potent honey flavor and smell. It’s rare to have a cake with frosting you enjoy and don’t feel sick after, but this is one of those rare cakes. I loved it, and I will be back next time I’m in Boise!
Noé R — Google review
Wow what a great meal! We heard about Alyonkas on DDD and saved it for future trips. Finally made it here today- so delicious! We had the veggie and caviar blini, borscht, the lamb plof, and the vareniki- all amazing. Authentic, fresh and did I mention delicious? We will be back next time we are in Boise. Just go, this place is a gem.
Jessie J — Google review
Fantastic food. Very personable service. Just in case, make reservations. They only have a few tables inside, but when sunny, there are more seats outside on the patio. Expect to leave FULL. Most of the menu is rich & authentic. Where else can you order a beef stroganoff with choice of buckwheat? Make sure to get hibiscus tea, which tastes like healthy Kool-Aid, & the beet salad. Listen to the server when she recommends how to eat the beef dumpling (with broth). The blini is more like a large crepe you open up & fill. But fair warning, it's all you need. Shaved beet salad may sound blah, but it's garlicky mayo goodness grows on you. I could eat just this with the tea & be fulfilled.
Carol W — Google review
Delicious food. Loved the e honey cake! Big enough to share between 4. They have a nice lunch menu. The outdoor seating area is pleasant.
Catherine R — Google review
Absolutely delicious! I had the pleasure of bringing home food from Alyonka Russian Cuisine and was blown away by the flavors and quality. The Beef Stroganoff was creamy and rich—classic comfort food done right. The Chebureki was slightly greasy but incredibly flavorful, and the Honey Cake was light and satisfying. The real standout was the Pavlova—perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside, and truly superb. I also tried Alyonka’s Favorite Assorted Desserts, a heavenly sampler that offered a taste of everything sweet and wonderful. This place is a gem—highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, satisfying Russian cuisine! I shared a tiny bit of the Stroganoff with my dog, Richard, and he gave it 5 paw prints!

Building is a bit dated, but this is a hidden gem! Great people, great food! Some of the best chicken tacos I've ever had. Can't wait to be back in the area to visit again!

The food was delicious. This is not an understatement. The chicken was fresh and juicy. The Mac and cheese was creamy and to die for. And don’t forget, the rice was amazing too. First time here and I’ll definitely be back! Chipotle chicken tacos, with 2 sides and a drink for a killer deal!

Only the second time I've gone, once was eating inside and this time was carry out. I got the chicken enchiladas both times because the first time was 😳 so good. The chicken isn't shredded, it's chunks of fresh meat and it has actual flavor and a little kick to it. The beans with it are awesome as well. The service is awesome, and this was way more than one meal's worth of food. Great value and taste for the money! Edited to add: been back several times since and they're still delicious. My bf got their chicken combination with rice and Mac & cheese on the side, and he said it's some of the best chicken he's ever eaten.

Amazing food! The chicken green burrito was so good, lots of flavorful chicken and a slightly spicy but delicious green sauce on top. The chipotle ranch was also very good on top the beef burrito supreme. Would definitely go back next time we’re in Boise, hard to beat the prices on these giant burritos. Could easily share one burrito with two people.

This has got to be one of the most underrated restaurants in the entire Treasure Valley, on my life. I really wasn't expecting much, but walked out blown away and woke up the next day still dreaming of this out-of-the-world food. 107.9 LiteFM's Michelle Hart does a fantastic thing where every so often she curates a list of 5 lesser-known yet highly underrated Boise eateries. Fiesta Chicken was featured on the second list published in February 4th. Until then, I never gave Fiesta a second glance. The name doesn't really stand out and I'd never heard anything about it. After reading Michelle's article and viewing the menu, I was intrigued and decided, what the heck. BEST DECISION EVER. A+++++ and more for value and quality! I ordered a #1: 3 Piece Leg & Thigh with rice and beans (comes when with two warm flour tortillas, but you can choose corn, $7.59) and my husband bellied up to a Carne Asada Supreme Burrito (beef, rice, bean, cheese, onions, cilantro, guacamole, pico de Gallo and sour cream, $6.79). We were both beyond impressed with our selections! The big hit was definitely the chicken. Grilled to perfection, the meat was amazingly moist, I'm taking melt-in-your-mouth moist and charbroiled to absolute perfection. It got me wishing I ordered the 4 piece just to have more goodness. Every bite combined with a spoonful of rice and beans took my tastebuds to heaven, over and over again. The rice and beans were an excellent combination, I wouldn't recommend any other sides. Rice was flavored very authentically, paired very well with the soft beans. The burrito was fantastic as well. Talk about value! For under $7.00 we got a burrito that lasted two meals. And it tasted just as good reheated the following day. Fiesta Chicken certainly exceeded my very mere expectations. It goes to show that you really shouldn't judge any place by it's name or location because it just might be some of the best food you'd ever eat. I was so delighted by this delicious experience I already planning to go back in a couple days with some friends. Thanks for a wonderful experience Fiesta Chicken! I can't wait for more.

If you haven’t been to Stardust yet, you’re missing out! The atmosphere is gorgeous — cozy, stylish, and perfect for any occasion. The food was absolutely mouth watering, that chocolate mousse? Pure heaven. Easily the best dessert I’ve had in ages. Hands down one of my favorites.

Beautiful restaurant with incredible cocktails and even better food. My husband and I popped in for a late brunch today and were wowed by this restaurant. We were greeted promptly and sat on the patio and even though it was fairly windy outside, the patio was back far enough that we just enjoyed a light breeze. Our server was awesome, very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Jungle Bird and the Bungalow to drink and both were delicious!! We will definitely be back for that alone! For brunch my husband had the Mushroom Toast and I had the Brioche French Toast along with an egg and bacon. My husband loved his dish and I thoroughly enjoyed mine. Usually after eating a heavier dish like French toast I feel lethargic and ready to go back home for a nap but this meal was incredibly satisfying without being too sweet or too heavy. The ingredients used at this restaurant are very fresh and the dishes are prepared thoughtfully. When we were done with our meal we took a better look inside and there’s a beautiful seating area right before the patio that we will definitely be taking advantage of in the future for a friends get together with some delicious cocktails and apps. Overall - 5/5. We will definitely be back!!

We had an amazing experience at The Stardust in downtown Boise! The food was absolutely fantastic, we tried the chicken & waffles, biscuits & gravy, eggs Benedict, and the meatloaf sandwich, and every single dish was spot on. The flavors were fresh, comforting, and perfectly balanced. On top of that, the mimosas were excellent, crisp, refreshing, and the perfect complement to brunch. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s a great spot whether you’re out with friends, family, or just want to treat yourself to a quality meal. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Boise, definitely one of the best brunch spots in town!

We sat at the bar and Daniel took very good care of us! The drinks were delish and beautiful! I highly recommend the Staghorn for all you bourbon drinkers. My gf had the Keywest Cat House, rum drinkers delight! We both had the seared black cod with, clams, muscles, salmon and shrimp in a saffron broth. ALL OF IT melted in our mouths! Full of flavor in every bite!!!
Lesleigh S — Google review
Let’s start with the high points - Joni P brought her great smile and warming attitude to our table every time she stopped by. Normally I don’t care for this level of contact. Today, it was magical. So was the food. Steak & Eggs - even better than Mitch described, Salmon Benedict - still can taste the tiny piece my wife shared with me, Croque Madame, delicious. And that banana bread - to die for. So, if you want a delicious brunch in a warm and welcoming place - and for the quality and quantity fairly priced - I’d go to Stardust next Sunday.
Phil S — Google review
Unfortunately, our first experience here we were seated next to a group of people who were loud and swearing near constantly. It's not the restaurant's fault, but it made for a poor atmosphere for what was expected to be a peaceful dinner. The food was good tasting but somewhat boring in presentation. Our Old Fashioned was oddly served with a lemon rind rather than an orange. Service was ok, and the servers were fairly informative, but seemed pushy and impatient.
Cullen A — Google review
Bryan was fantastic from start to finish - attentive, answered questions and tons of insights. Drinks were fun, appetizers were bold and filling - especially the grilled artichoke fondue. The pot pie and shrimp and lobster bisque were hot, well seasoned and finished with an amazing apple cobbler. Great experience overall!

Whether you’re a straight-up black coffee person or a lavender oat milk latte kind of soul, there’s something for every caffeine craving. Their house blend was rich, smooth, and clearly crafted with care. Food-wise, everything was fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully delivered. The staff was upbeat and attentive without being overbearing, and the vibe in the restaurant was warm, welcoming, and full of happy energy. Whether you’re grabbing a quick solo breakfast or settling in for a long brunch with friends, Goldy’s makes you feel like you’re in the right place. Highly recommend. Goldy’s is golden.

I have been wanting to come to this joint for a long time but with other local joints opening up and my husband's favorite breakfast joint we frequent, coming here was challenging. My friend wanted to meet up for breakfast and asked for some options. I threw out Goldy's and Goldy's was what we both decided on. It's late morning on a Tuesday, I didn't know how busy it was going to be. Walking in, I was greeted and was told my table options. It was nice to be able to get in so quickly. I have heard this joint can have quite the wait time but not today. Little did I know they have an upper dining area, I thought that was pretty cool. I opted for a table on the main floor. I was quite mesmerized by the chandelier with angel wings all over the bulbs. It was a beautiful piece to look at. I got my coffee dropped off right away. My friend and I did breeze over the menu for a while. We were like two chickens clucking trying to catch up. Our server was really patient and gave us a minute to buckle down and decide on what we wanted. For breakfast I got the 3 egg omelet with spinach, asparagus and feta. I passed on the bread and potatoes for fresh fruit. Everything came out hot! My omelet was busting out of the seams with asparagus. It looked hearty! You can see the feta partially melted on top of it. My fruit plate was vibrant! It was beautifully plated with berries, citrus, pineapple and apple slices. The berries were fresh and tart. The strawberry was so sweet. The blueberries were firm and tasty. The orange was fresh but bland. I didn't get to try the grapefruit but it smelled devine. The pineapple was my favorite! I had about half of my omelet! It was massive. I loved how much veggies was in the middle of it. The spinach and asparagus was cooked perfectly! I don't know what it was about the texture of the eggs but I didn't really like it. The eggs were stiff and not really fluffy. It was foamy like. I have had some omelets where the eggs are fluffy but in this case it wasn't like that. It was still good but it's probably something I wouldn't order again. I'm happy I finally got to check out this joint. It's a landmark for Boise and I can see why. It's tiny, vibrant and fun plus it's been around for years. I love the vibe here very much! Our server did a great job taking care of us today. Coffee was hot and the food was fresh. It was a great day to check it out. I finally get to mark Goldy's off my to do list.

Pros & cons: Pros: hosts & servers are super-nice. If they're busy & they usually are, they'll ask if you'd like to wait at Goldy's Corner just a few yards away, you can order coffee & pastries there, & they'll call you when your table's ready. Drip coffee is amazing. They have mango, guava, & other juices. Orange juice tastes fresh-squeezed. Lots of unusual menu items, influenced by Basque culture. Cons: the food, which was reasonably good, took forever, juices were lukewarm, Eggs Benedict's hollandaise was a bit lemony rather than savory, portions (sides) were a little small, grits had zero flavor -- even when you add tons of salt & butter, restrooms (only two stalls upstairs) are cramped, no handicapped stall or ramp.

Worth a trip to visit this fantastic breakfast place! I had the Eggs Benny and a Biscuit with Gravy; my wife had the pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The Benedict was divine, with a super fluffy hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached eggs. Biscuit and gravy was really good as well; sausage gravy has a good amount of pepper but is very good. Biscuit was excellent. Pancakes are huge and fluffy! Service was outstanding. Atmosphere is busy and noisy but everybody was having fun, including us.

11JUN2025: I could fly to Boise JUST for this breakfast. My goodness. Stumbled across this place and so glad we did, what a gem! Landed a table on the second deck, and the food was incredible across the board. Mushroom, spinach, ham and bacon omelet, crisp bacon (NEXT LEVEL ON FLAVOR), biscuit, bread, potatoes… this was as good as it gets. Thank you, Jamie, for the 5-star service and thank you Goldy’s Bistro for a breakfast we continue to rave about. One tip: If you do check in and can get a second-floor table against the rail (vice inward), looking below on the other patrons if you are people watcher, could add to the experience.

Despite being rather busy the kitchen and wait staff seemed to feel no sense of urgency. I waited 30 minutes for my dish which would have been completely fine, but nothing on my plate was actually hot which begs the question of why did it take so long if obviously it had been sitting somewhere? As a solo diner sitting at the counter normally these tickets are prioritized because the kitchen can easily get them out of the way, but that doesn't seem to be how they do things here. The dish itself made no sense. It seems like someone was desperately trying to come up with different takes to fill out their different eggs Benedict dishes, so they said how about if we just throw some chicken and bacon in there and use a "spicy" (it was not spicy) hollandaise, that will make it look like we know what we're doing! No, no it does not. You grilled a flavorless, dry chicken and stuck it under a supposedly poached egg which I never actually tasted because the whole thing was drowning in a sloppily made "spicy" hollandaise that was as thick as it was boring. The hash browns were hash browns and they would have been fine if they were actually hot. The only thing good was the coffee. The wait staff was friendly, but unpolished. I had a quarter of my plate left and someone brought me my check unprompted without asking if there was anything else I wanted. Also, the music, what vibe are you actually going for here? If it's chaotic mess, you nailed it.

I had the Andalusian eggs and I would absolutely say it was in the top 10 breakfasts I’ve ever ordered. Fantastic. My husband had a create your own skillet and it was also a win. I would not hesitate to go here again

Nice breakfast spot serving up classics. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Goldy's Special Potatoes. They were good, I don't know that I would seek it out. They also offer their Goldy's Special seasoning if you'd like to take the experience home.

Pub
Basque restaurant
Bar Gernika Basque Pub and Eatery, located in Boise's Basque Block, is a cozy spot offering traditional Basque dishes alongside American favorites and a wide selection of beverages. With almost 20 years in the culinary scene, this friendly establishment serves up authentic Basque fare, tempting desserts, and Basque wine. Notable menu items include the chorizo sandwich and lamb stew. The pub also features an outdoor patio that bustles with activity in the evenings.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch this past weekend. We were in town for vacation. Wow! Were we blown away with how good our food was. We had the chicken grinder and the chicken was moist, tender and had just enough of a kick to make it flavorful. We also had the Monkless beer which was very tasty. Our waitress Renee was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely return next time we are in town!

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience here today. We had a large group of 11 people which understandably can be a bit overwhelming at times and we try to take that into account when finding a restaurant. We were very excited to try this restaurant as we have heard good things and spend a lot of time at the other basque restaurants. When we first walked in we were relieved to see that the restaurant was almost empty! It went down hill from there though. We were immediately treated poorly. The server was outwardly rude and obviously annoyed that we were there. We sensed this and tried to offer to help move tables together to try and take some of the burden off and we were met with harsh words. We were honestly taken back, since most of us have worked in The service industry we try to be good customers. It was so bad that we decided to walk out. The cook followed us out and apologized but the outright rudeness from the servers made us feel completely unwelcome. Luckily the restaurant across the street was happy to serve us and we had a wonderful meal.

Lovely Basque cuisine. The croquettas and pork sandwich were delicious and they had a fun selection of beer. The patio made for fun people watching.

Came here on suggestion from another bar, lamb stew and a original basque cider, the staff here is really great and friendly. Definitely a place to come and eat and enjoy some good drinks. A lot of good stuff on tap but the food menu is something that you got to try. Also not too expensive, you don't get service like this in many places. Great staff

I order the lamb stew and croquetas, which came with bread and a pickle. For my taste, I think the lamb needed a bit more if flavor but in overall it was ok. This is a mistake I keep doing cuz I like to try different food, but I have a very sensitive stomach and this meal was very heavy for me. So if somebody has a stomach problem, don't copy me and order something lighter 😅🥗

A fantastic little restaurant with excellent food. The outdoor seating and service was lovely. The croquetas are very authentic and delicious and I loved my braised lamb sandwich.

I visited Bar Gernika on my final night in Boise. The hustle and bustle of the Friday night crowd was apparent, but I was greatly kindly and led to high-top once a table came open. The restaurant may not be bright and chic, but its heart pours out from every nook and cranny. I started with their daily soup - a creamy, umami-packed mushroom bisque that was so good I inhaled before I even got my beer (or took a picture). For dinner, I had their Basque chorizo sandwich with a side of traditional croquetas. The chorizo was deeply spiced with a kiss of heat, complemented by the sweetness of the grilled onions and pimientos. The croquetas were piping hot and perfectly crisp - try them with the tangy Tiger sauce in bottles on each table! All of this was appropriately washed down with a local nut brown ale. Needless to say, I left with both my heart and belly full. The staff all clearly care deeply about the food and the customers - especially the chef who works endlessly over a hot stove, yet still finds time to bring you your food with a genuine smile. If you're in Boise looking for a taste of Basque food, I implore you to go give Bar Gernika an evening of your time.

Located at 211 N. Eighth St., Juniper offers a cozy brick-walled ambiance and serves seasonal dishes such as pork belly fries and Idaho trout. What sets it apart is its craft cocktails made with house-made mixers. For an exclusive dining experience, guests can reserve the chef's table for a personalized five-course menu prepared by the chef. The restaurant also emphasizes using fresh, local ingredients including Idaho trout, local wines, bison, beef, and juniper berries.
The gin and tonic was fantastic. They make their own tonic which has the perfect flavor. It's a great place to come, hangout and have drinks. The food was very tasty. The pork belly fries and Korean spare ribs had really good flavor. The only disappointing thing was the fried chicken. It was too much dense breading and just not good. The butterscotch dessert was really good. It had the perfect amount of black salt.

If my kid was with us he’d say this place is “ “bussin”, but he laugh at me for using it. But the food is amazing. We got the Bison burger, margarita, pizza and the Focaccia Grinder. Everything has a unique taste, they don’t play it safe here and it works. We all loved the food. The bison burger was incredible.

First time here and we are so glad we tried. We had the honey lemon chicken pizza and it was PHENOMENAL! Just the right mix of sweet and bitter and then a citrus taste with the lemons. Drinks were also very tasty and service was extremely friendly.

I had a great time in Juniper! All in all, the service was great, the cocktails were amazing, and the dishes were tasty and well cooked. The staff was willing to answer questions and provide recommendations. Additionally, I felt as though the menu was well curated based on what vegetables and produce was in season/locally available.

They got us in without a reservation since we were planning only to have a cocktail and dessert ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! We didn't feel rushed and we were done and out before the table reservation. Cocktails were great, dessert was interesting...

OMG, the pizza is absolutely fabulous. Specifically, the duck confit pizza, cooked in a stone oven covered in melt in your mouth duck, cheese, and a touch of arugula for a touch of freshness. Drinks and service are average. It was very busy, and sitting directly at the bar, we had to wait too long for a second drink.

2 Stars: Anticipointment.  That's what we felt last night.  Juniper was a restaurant I've been wanting to try out for sometime.  We finally had the opportunity to go and thought it would be a great place to eat before a show. We knew that a Saturday night might be busy so we made reservations more than 2 weeks ago. The party of 8 was excited to have an adult evening for dinner and a show.  We walked in before our reservation time and was seated to eat.  Everything looked great in the cover.  Other than a both table that was too small for a party of 8.  It was literally shoulders and legs touching shoulders and legs tight.  In fact one person had to sit slightly at an angle.  Even though we were really cozy in there, it was great to be out. The restaurant has a neat vibe and is in a good location. The server comes over to get some drinks and explain that he is just filling in until our normal server arrives. We didn't think anything of this and ordered some drinks. There was an issue with one of the drinks, which I will get to shortly. It is now 30 min into our evening and they now take our order.  We quickly ordered and we were all looking forward to what we had chosen.  About 10 min later out server came back to us and said that there was going to be a 45-60 min wait for the food.  This is not going to work, as we would be late to the show.  She said they were just backed up and asked if we just wanted appetizers instead.  Grown adults don't want to just share some Rosemary fries. At this point one of the people in our party realized their drink glass was broken on the inside.  The server did replace the drink a few minutes later. Then we find out that the 5 or so minutes that went by while the server was there waiting that she never even put our order in queue.  So, now if we did l decided to wait for our food we were behind even more people.  She should have put the order in, then told us so we didn't lose our place in line.  We told her that we will just leave and find something else. The server then asked if the check was together or separate.  Really, there is a check?  We asked to speak to the manager and recounted everything that transpired. She appologized and helped us out with the drinks and gave us motivation to return. I can't speak to the quality of the food or bathrooms.  The drinks were good except the glass in one of them.  The service was severely lacking and the restaurant can't handle to be full. I'm the future, when we are able to try it again, we will make sure we have a 4 hour window.  Or maybe Juniper will be there destination with nothing afterwards. I am looking forward to updating this review in the future. Update: 3 Stars: Last Friday night we tried Juniper again in hopes for a better evening. We didn't plan anything after dinner this time so we could make certain to get food. This experience was much different than the first. We arrived with reservations at 6:30 early. We were seated promptly downstairs vs upstairs last time. It was was not as loud and we could carry a conversation across the table. We only had 4 of us on this trip, so that could have helped. The Food: We ordered the Rosemary Fries to share. They were seasoned well, and perfectly crispy. I ordered the lamb burger with bacon, my wife ordered the salmon. The salmon, she said, was very good. I requested my lamb be medium, but it turned out to be well done. The burger had good flavors that complemented each other well. If the burger was not dry, it would have been perfect. The salad was not bad, but way over drenched and saturated. I raised the star count by one because this experience was night and day different over the first visit. But because my burger was over cooked and dry I couldn't give them a 4th.

Amazing food and our server was the best in a long time. The rosemary truffle fries were out of this world.

La Fermière is my favorite yogurt company. They are a family-owned French yogurt company that has been around since 1952. They recently added a line of French Desserts. The Boise Co-op in Boise, is the only place in Southern Idaho that is carrying them. They have three of the five flavors. I’ve tried all three. I started with the one that I expected to be my least favorite, CRÈME CARAMEL, because I don’t particularly care for caramel. Surprise! Surprise! It turned out to be my favorite of three flavors. The Vanilla and Chocolate flavors are good, but they don’t begin to compare to the Caramel flavor. La Fermière’s CRÈME CARAMEL is one of the best things I’ve eaten in 2024! French Crème Caramel is a vanilla custard that’s baked on top of a layer of caramelized sugar, served upside down with a caramel sauce pouring over the sides. It’s somewhat similar to Flan in flavor, but closer to a crème brûlée in texture. La Fermière’s Crème Caramel incorporates the caramelized sugar/caramel, into the vanilla custard. The Boise Co-op in Boise also has the most flavors of La Fermière yogurt. The second best location is the Boise Co-op in Meridian, which has yogurt, but none of the desserts. Highly Recommended!!! P.S. I recommend calling the Boise Co-op to make sure this product is in stock before you go to pick some up.

It’s clear they care about what they do, and it makes a real difference. Just wanted to say thank you for starting my mornings off on the right note.

First, we love the Boise Co-Op and have for years. They have such yummy and easy food. Not to mention a great gift/fun stuff section too. But the main reason I am writing the review to sing praises for their bakery. We’ve always loved the chocolate turtle torte cake. Seriously, my favorite cake of all time. But recently decided to order a cake for a surprise baby gender reveal. When I say they went above and beyond, I am not joking. The cake was, beautiful, delicious, and HUGE. And the bakery team, specifically Bug, the main baker who helped us, provided the BEST customer service. She was professional, helpful, and genuinely excited/happy for our little family. It made our experience top tier and I am so grateful for the Co-Op, their bakery team, and especially Bug!

Eddie's Restaurant is a charming eatery that captures the essence of classic American dining with its retro vibe and homestyle fare. Nestled in Boise, this family-owned diner has become a beloved spot for locals and travelers alike, offering an inviting atmosphere adorned with nostalgic memorabilia from the 1950s. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast or brunch, Eddie's serves up generous portions of delicious dishes like their famous biscuits and gravy, made fresh daily.
My wife and I stopped by for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and we both asked the same question: what took us so long to come here?? The food was fantastic—very reasonably priced and left us full and satisfied. They serve Pepsi products, along with your choice of curly fries, tots, or regular French fries. So far, we've tried the chicken strips, regular fries, country gravy, French dip, chili cheese burger, meatloaf with brown gravy, and even sampled their coconut cream pie. We've had a great experience with all of them! I will say the regular fries aren’t my favorite, but that’s just a personal preference—I’m a sucker for seasoned curly fries. Tonight, we also tried their broccoli cheddar soup and Salisbury steak, and once again, everything was spot-on. The fries were crispy and perfectly cooked. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and the interior really captures the feeling of a 1950s-style diner, complete with classic booth seating, framed car photos, hanging plants, and retro touches like the Pepsi-Cola condiment caddies. It's got a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to enjoy your meal. The building’s exterior is a bit aged, which honestly contributed to us overlooking it for too long—but that was absolutely our loss. We’ve immensely enjoyed every visit and will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for great American comfort food at a fair price, served in a fun and nostalgic atmosphere.

I have to say, this was the perfect place to eat just before my flight. I had a long flight that day and only an hour before I had to leave for the airport. The waitress served us right away, and of food came quickly. The plates were large and the prices were fair. I don't order drinks anymore, $4 for an ice tea or watered down coke anywhere you go is just crazy! Water with lemon is just fine. I have to say, I really enjoyed eating at Eddie's. There are plenty of tables and if you're in a hurry like me, there is a counter bar to sit at. Good food, great service and reasonable prices.

A 50's style diner, very quiet. We went on a Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and there were plenty of tables open. Our waiter did a nice job. His name was Sam. We didn't have to wait very long for our food and he did a good job making sure that all our needs were taken care of. I had chicken fried steak and it was great. It came with three sides. I chose fresh squash, loaded baked potato and soup. I look forward to going back.

Flying M Coffee House is a vibrant and popular destination in downtown Boise, known for its signature coffee blends, housemade bakery treats, and quirky gifts. It has become one of the most beloved coffee spots in town, offering its own brand of roasted coffee beans along with pastries and desserts made in-house. The cozy atmosphere makes it a favorite spot for college students to study or catch up with friends. The eclectic vibe is enhanced by rotating art and off-beat gifts decorating the walls and shelves.
Great spot for coffee and baked goods (they’re all huge!) that’s open late and is a good spot to play board games or gather in the evening with friends

My niece suggested Flying M for my morning coffee fix and tbh Ry did not disappoint. Great coffee and awesome vibe! Highly recommend! Delicious selection of savory and sweet baked goods and potato pancakes too!!

Walking into the coffee shop Giftshop is quite colorful, they have a large selection of stickers and mugs along with Gag gifts, and friendly staff. The coffee I ordered was a white chocolate mocha but it wasn’t very sweet kinda plain but it did have a wonderful cream design on the top as pictured. The coffee prices are rather cheap for Boise and the food prices were also very affordable for Boise.

Cool little coffeehouse in downtown Boise. Great place to get an espresso and study or chat with friends. We like it because it one of the few coffee places open in the evening. Lime scooters nearby make it a convenient spot close to everything. Oh, and the drinks are quite tasty!

Seriously amazing, at 8pm there’s still people here, staff are VERY friendly (both times we came here), and not only are they friendly but stellar at making lattes !! I even bought some coffee beans to bring home for my espresso machine. I’d say I would be back but we already have been 😂 Such a cool vibe, amazing coffee, great location. I mean, I seriously cannot come up with a single complaint… I’m not one to hand out 5 star reviews easily but this place deserves it.

Literally the best coffee shot in the treasure valley!! The staff is so incredible kind! Coffee and treats are always a hit! But what makes them stand out to me is their constant support for women’s reproductive rights and the rights of the lgbtq community! Plus they keep the cutest trinkets in their shop!! Thank you flying M!

The staff was very nice and quick at making my coffee. Atmosphere was cool and so were the people + they sell pretty cool things! Definitely recommend coming here to hang.

Late post. When I’m on a trip the first thing I do is to look for a local coffee shop on Google Map. I found my initial cafe and I thought I had to check it out. I ordered a decaf mocha and a butter croissant for breakfast. The mocha was very good, not too sweet or not too bitter. The barista made my mocha perfect! The croissant was very fresh as crispy outside and soft inside. They also have unique merchandise in the store.

Even Stevens Sandwiches in Boise is a popular spot known for its delicious sandwiches, salads, and more. The downtown location offers a casual and fun environment where skilled team members craft signature sandwiches using high-quality ingredients. The restaurant also provides event catering and corporate catering services. Despite being considered 'fast food,' Even Stevens stands out with its unique specialty sandwich options like the Do Gouda and unconventional grilled cheese.
Took the fam to Even Stevens before checking out Freak Alley and other Downtown Boise spots. The staff were super nice, the food was super bomb and it was a great time. Loved some of the art on the walls, others were not my cup of tea but overall super cool spot! If your looking for a good cuban sandwich you gotta try this spot!

Cool place, good area, bad food, good mimosas. Pot roast dip is super sweet in a not good way, tots horrible, sprang chicken had old bread and brown stringy avo, pretzel sticks are bland pieces of bread literally (see photos)

We met family there this morning and we all loved it. They are from Mississippi and they loved the restaurant, downtown area and Freak Alley.,They eat vegetarian and both found good things to order. . My husband and I had sandwiches, both so good. Nestled in the heart of Hyde Park, this vibrant spot offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for casual dining or unwinding after a long day. Guests can indulge in an array of mouthwatering options, including tacos, burritos, wraps, and salads—all crafted with care and bursting with flavor.
Absolutely delicious Mexican food! I had the taco salad—it was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Prices were super reasonable, and the whole experience was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re craving something tasty and satisfying!

I came in just for dinner, but I think this is a better place to hang out and have a few beers or margaritas. I tried the pork burrito, which was just ok. The texture of the pork was kind of like a puree, so overall the texture was kind of a mush. I ordered the 'hot' roja salsa, which was what I would consider mild. If you like spicy, aim for one of the hotter salsas on the menu. To sum up, I would come back here for drinks, but I would skip the food or get something other than a burrito.
Anthony T — Google review
I stopped into this neighborhood bar alone, just hoping for a chill place to have a drink. Instead, I ended up dealing with one of the most unwelcoming, judgmental bartenders I’ve ever come across. From the moment I walked in, it felt like they’d already decided I didn’t belong there. I wasn’t bothering anyone, I wasn’t being loud. I was just sitting by myself with a drink. But every interaction felt cold and condescending, like serving me was some kind of chore. I’ve gone to plenty of bars by myself, and I’ve never had a bartender make me feel uncomfortable for simply being there. Any time I asked a question or ordered something, I got attitude back. It’s wild how a place can call itself a neighborhood bar but treat a paying customer like they’re doing them a favor by acknowledging them. Overall, it was an unnecessarily negative experience, and I definitely won’t be returning. There are plenty of bars in town where you can actually feel welcome and not judged for walking in alone.
Grimestøne343 — Google review
Solid 4 across the board. Long line, but the friendly staff efficiently moved it along. They gladly helped to explain the menu and answer any questions. Good portion sizes & everything is fresh. Small burrito is huge! All dishes we had were flavorful. Reasonable prices & clean dining area. Free drink refills!! Sunny outdoor patio in the back. The only issue is the limited parking availability, so find a spot on the street.
Edward K — Google review
I love the bar staff. They’re hospitable, personable, fun and just amazing. The food is awesome too. I came in today and a few other times at times ranging from 9:50, 9:49 and 9:55, and the kitchen is closed. When I inquired with bar staff on kitchen hours, I’ve been told the kitchen closes at 10pm. I’ve even been reminded by bar staff to order food before the kitchen closes with almost 10 minutes to spare, but the kitchen is closed, to bar staff’s confusion. What ARE the kitchen hours, exactly?
Daniel O — Google review
We went in to the Hyde Park sports bar today to watch some live sport (Premier League soccer). The staff member was completely disinterested in switching channels and after asking twice, eventually said “the network isn’t connected.” So much for being a sports bar. No thanks. I’ll take our business elsewhere.

A different patron highlighted the excellent service provided by their server Zac, emphasizing his attentiveness and efficiency.
This Denny's is by far the best location in the Treasure Valley! Zac my server was awesome he always came to my table to see if I needed anything else. He was on point with refilling my coffee and with creamers.

For some reason the manager doesn’t really seem to care how they serve customers. I’m not sure why they don’t teach employees to correctly read an order and how come they shrug it off like it’s nothing. I ordered a Jr Kids Slam and received 4 sausage links and eggs. No pancakes, no grapes. Nothing else . My side of Mac and cheese was suppose to come with banana’s too, didn’t get any of that. They thought it was just okay to throw in extra hashbrowns and eggs. I paid for what I ordered not what you guys felt like making. I’ve worked in the restaurant business before, this is truly a disappointment. And the fact that they’re not doing anything about it either is where it gets worse. The manager HUNG up on me. It’s a great thing I know about corporate(:

Had a fantastic time with great service and some of the best prepared food I’ve ever had at a chain restaraunt. They take their jobs seriously and it was a great experience! Even made a “happy boyday” lava cake to match the celebration we were having. I walked in thinking “I don’t know why we’re going to Denny’s” and walked out thinking I wanted to go there for my next celebration.

beautiful dishes, but the morning was overshadowed by the fact that there were no steaks: / and the cape that was in the pan was very dirty and interrupted the appetite. and to be honest, the taste of the dish in the pan, let's say - for an amateur, but personally, I certainly won't order this again! 3 pieces of chicken and a whole pan of potatoes and peppers.

Great way to start the morning while visiting Idaho! Had the crazy spicy skillet, it was delicious as it always is at most Denny's. Sean was our server and he was fantastic. Gave great customer service and was hustling as he helped 4 tables. I watched him sanitize his tables as people left. My husband and I were sat in a back corner table and Sean still managed to check up on us several times for water and more. Thank you Sean!

I give this Deny’s a 1 star rating for a very specific reason. I asked the very nice young lady serving food why they had fans everywhere. She stated their AC wasn’t working. I overheard some of the employees stating that they were feeling sick because of the heat but the owners don’t care enough to repair/replace the AC unit. Clearly they don’t care about customers either! This is the United States of America in the 21st century. This should NOT be allowed! I believe strongly in supporting local businesses and understanding costs and expenditures but this is not safe (at over 100 degrees today) or humane! FIX YOUR AC!!!

Big Bun Drive In is a renowned fast-food drive-in that has been a staple in Boise since 1954. While it's famous for its classic burgers and casual eats, the menu also caters to vegetarian and vegan preferences with options like the Garden Burger, Impossible Burger, and Vegan Grilled Cheese. The restaurant even offers plant-based desserts such as shakes, cones, ice cream sandwiches, and sundaes.
This place was amazing! The food was delicious and quick and friendly service. We ordered there and ate in a heated covered area. We got cheese sticks, French fries, chicken tenders and a double cheeseburger and it all tasted phenomenal! For drinks we got a chocolate shake, Reese's shake and a blackberry lemonade which were also good. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.
Melissa B — Google review
I’ve had good food from here the other two times I’ve been, but Big Bun should be embarrassed with the quality of food/service given today. We ordered the fish and chips basket with tartar sauce, we got burnt fish, burnt onion rings, and ranch dressing. The fish and onion rings were dripping with brown grease, and were inedible. No lemon or malt vinegar, to boot. The milk shake we ordered had an undertaste of chemicals- couldn’t place it, but it was off. I root small for local businesses, which is I’m leaving three stars, but something here is wrong.

Went for lunch, ordered Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich, Tater tots, Fries, and a vanilla shake. Service was quick, and the food was good. Wish they had a western burger with onion rings and BBQ sauce. Sometimes, there's even a car show in the parking lot.

Thought it was a little spendy but the portions were big, employees were friendly, and the food was yummy! We loved sitting on the patio where our kids could run around a bit without disturbing anyone inside. It was very clean too!

I came here with my family. The wait wasn't too bad (about 5-10 minutes). I got the bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was so good! The cheese was perfectly melted and I like how they keep it simple on the toppings. The fry sauce and ketchup were great. I liked the bun for sure. It has sesame seeds but they weren't falling off like sand. The fries were great and you get a lot for a good size! (Medium) I tried the mozzarella sticks and they were good. A little bit too seasoned but overall 8/10. I will be coming here again. A little bummed how no bathroom was available but its all good.

So great to be back here! One of a kind dive in all the right ways. We are from the family the Tom Cafferty sandwich was named after :)) The food tastes amazing and there are lots of GF Vegan options, if that's your bag; which is quite rare for grab and go dining. We were the only ones waiting for an order, no rush. Over an hr until closing. They got BOTH of our burgers wrong, like way wrong that it’s laughable and look at all these fries! Burnt to a crisp except one 😂 these are only half the fries too…we ended up just throwing all the fries away because they were hard and inedible. We paid $30 for this. This is literally disgusting. Purchase and posted evening of 2/28/23 Ps why is it two reviews down they had the same exact experience a month before us…?!

Large selection of classic American comfort foods such as shakes & burgers in a cool, retro setting.
I ordered a meal: a double cheeseburger with bacon and opted for 'make it old school' (ketchup, mustard, pickles as the only toppings beyond the base burger) I also opted for a local draft beer. (As happy hour was going on, scored a Boise Light at half price) The drink was no slouch, but the burger and fries were good enough that I forgot I had a drink at all! Big compliments to the cook as the patties were as perfect as one can expect. Tender, juicy, flavorful, and not heavy or dripping. Bacon was crispy but not needlessly hard. Fries are a tasty, ever-so spicy house blend and were both crispy outside while still being tender inside. Great 50's era ambiance played in the background to the credit of Rosemary Clooney and Nat King Cole this evening. Staff was cheerful and attentive. Orders are delivered quickly and with great care. 10/10 would recommend again.

We stopped by Westside Drive In in Boise after hearing it was the place to try Idaho’s famous finger steaks—and it did not disappoint! The finger steaks were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. And of course, we had to try their famous ice cream potato—what a fun and quirky Idaho treat! It looked just like a baked potato, but was actually a delicious ice cream dessert. The retro 50s diner vibe added to the charm and made the experience even more memorable. This place totally lived up to the hype. A 5-star stop and a must-try if you’re in Boise!

I've been here a few times now and have tried several menu items. Nothing I've had "wows" me or is something I'd return for with the exception of the fish and chips, which are some of the best I've ever eaten... Their seasoned, battered fries are excellent. Everything I could want in a French fry! The large portions of flaky, white fish are also prepared to perfection. Both of these are best with as much fry sauce and dilly, tartar sauce as you can handle. Service is always attentive and friendly but sometimes pretty slow. The venue is nice with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy on a nice day.

I got the Monte Cristo, I was so excited to hear about a place that had one. But the crusting on this sandwich is just to hard. The meat was non existent. One piece of turkey and ham. Then on top of that, it had this weird Herby sauce on the inside. The sandwich is no wear near a true Monte Cristo. The one I used to get was in a batter, like a pancake batter. This was served with strawberry jam, to which I found a hair in. I just put that jam to the side. The French fries were great. But I don't know why Guy from diners, drive in & dives raved about this sandwich.

Tried the Wagyu burgers as a special. Added the second patty for $2.50 more. Look at the picture of my patty…… REALLY ??!!’ This patty is pathetic. Needs Attention. Also tried “The Best Finger Steaks in Boise” ….. they are not even close to the best. They are OK at best. Curly fries were good, service was very good. Do some QA on your burger patties because these need SERIOUS attention.

Absolutely incredible food. The steak tips were to die for. The baked potato was the best baked potato my taste buds have ever experienced, and the ice cream potato?? Otherworldly.

Not only is the food great, but they serve ice-cream shaped like a baked potato! The 50's style dinner has many interesting pictures and reflects Idaho history. There is also a map that people can put a pin in to show where they are from. According to that map, people come from far and wide. To reiterate how great the food is, this place was featured on Guy Fierri's Dinners, Drive-ins, and dives!

We were very skeptical to visit this restaurant based on recent negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food, large portions, and friendly prompt service. We took a large party in during a busy time and they were quite attentive. The diner is definitely a local place, and it is not a new shiny building, but a cozy local restaurant. We had the Chicken Fried Steak, the breakfast skillet, BLT, and Mickey Mouse pancakes. The food was great, our only comment was that the chicken fried steak/biscuits & gravy were not to our taste, but the food quality was good.

I took my granddaughters here on a Friday. They weren't hungry so they just had hot chocolate with whipped cream. I had the traditional bacon and eggs. It was good. The toast was a little on the burnt side. I was taken by surprise that toast was an additional 2.60. I guess I expected it as standard equipment. Breakfast for me and hot chocolate and a side of bacon for the girls came to just north of 35.00. I had a little sticker shock but I know food costs are up. They serve Boyds coffe which is much better than Farmers brand. Ada said the hot chocolate was good. An 8 out of 10. Hattie says 10 out of 10. I would go again.

Panda Express is a fast food chain famous for its Chinese-style food. The restaurants are usually small, with prices that are reasonable, and the staff is always attentive. There is usually something on the menu for everyone, and the food is definitely tasty. One downside is that employees often park in handicap spots, which can be aggravating.
Wow! The cleanest Panda Express my Husband and I have ever been to! It's his favorite and now I know why! Great service, fresh hot food served with a smile! Sat outside and enjoyed the downtown culture! It was a fabulous lunch!

Been there today. Very slow, very unprofessional staff. I do understand that they are just humans but they barely got any food at 3pm today, very little of each dish. We paid $65 for 4 people and we didn't even get full. I said that the service was very bad to a worker and he said "how come" and moved along. Very very disappointing. They didn't even give my receipt.

We got two large orders of fried rice (dry but not the end of the world) but the two large orders of chow mein I've been buying for 28 years tasted like it had been cooked in dirty dish water. We live over three hours away and with all the choices, we chose panda express. Wrong choice. The staff was polite, welcoming, quick. No complaints about them. But the noodles were horrid. We threw the order out.

One of the worst pandas in the valley in my opinion. The food is consistently bad enough that I won’t even feed it to my dog. Always soggy and hardly ever fresh, nor does it ever even look appetizing. To compliment all of that, the service usually always less than desirable. Bad attitudes and presumably “grumpy” behavior

Worst panda ever! Seriously they have an incompetent manager who's getting run over by her employees. A caucasian female with short blonde hair was physically aggressive towards us, slamming a napkin dispenser near my newborn.yelling at us and arguing with us. There's also a younger Hispanic female whos the first point of contact. The minute we walked in gave us a nasty attitude. Our food was cold. The Hispanic female plain out told us it's been sitting out for a while. Seriously have never had such a bad experience at a panda Express. We left, took it to corporate and the franchise owner reached out to us. He definitely made the situation better. He was very kind and understanding, especially considering the whole thing was caught on surveillance video. That location needs a new manager and new employees who know how to treat customers correctly.

Dharma Sushi & Thai, located in the Capital City Event Centre, is a modern counter-serve restaurant known for its creative sushi and Thai dishes. The establishment offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a diverse menu that includes vegan options. While it's not your traditional sushi bar, Dharma makes ordering in or online easy, even offering late-night options on weekends.
I ordered two sushi rolls: Swagger and Thai Peanut, plus a fish-shaped dessert. Everything tastes good, although I find the rolls a bit costly.

Decent sushi spot for some quick take out. The staff were delightful and the service was quick. The thai roll was something different and I liked it. Not top flight sushi but if you're having a craving this place will definitely hit the spot. The decor and vibe of the place was nice and chill. I would come back to this restaurant if I'm in town again.

Dharmas is one of my favorite Sushi places! Cute place and great food! Of the handful of times I’ve visited they only messed up once. I ordered online and picked up in store. I selected No Tempura on both of the 2 Godzilla rolls I got, my husband and I don’t eat tempura. However when we got home there was tempura on both. Simple mix up, my husband and I work in food service as well and completely understand a mix up. The rest of our food was great as always!

Good size rolls, feels like you get your money's worth. It is an Americanized sushi not top tier, but decent quality. Customer service could be better, feels very disconnected. A few times I sat waiting, they never called out my name on the to go order when it was ready.

Service was a bit slow, but the sushi rolls were creative and definitely unique. Some flavors might take getting used to, but they could grow on you!

I was in the mood for some vegetarian sushi with flavor. Found the right spot. I got two rolls a vegan Thai peanut roll and vegan swagger roll and appetizer vegan frying saucers and vegan tots. That was enough for almost 4 people. The portion are good size you can definitely share each entree. It was ready fast tasted great.

We like Dharma Sushi because it's decent quality and a good price. Love the nirvana roll, and we like to try the others too. Last night, after we ordered, one of the employees on the food line sneezed 5 times. He attempted to sneeze into his elbow, but he did not step away from the line to regroup, rewash, etc. It was very disconcerting as he sneezed right over the food he was making. We almost asked for our money back and left, but decided our immune systems are strong lol. Oh, and we tried the coconut shrimp. Way too sweet--I've never had it made with sweetened coconut.

We absolutely love Dharma sushi. We get it every time we are visiting and my whole family loves it. We have had better sushi here at Dharma than our coastal town ! It is so fresh and delicious. Service has always very prompt and the fact that they’re open late night is such a plus!

Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is a fast-casual restaurant that serves authentic Mexican dishes such as freshly made tortillas, burritos, and tacos. The establishment has received positive feedback for its delicious food. It's worth noting that one customer commended a dedicated employee who efficiently managed multiple tasks during their visit at around 7pm. This worker was attentive and even went beyond the call of duty by personally solving an issue with a drink order.
Fantastic food Fantastic Service!! Rey was amazing and so was the lady at the register. Friendly people and nice place to eat. I LOVE the special ❤️ Google will not allow me to do another review but they will Allie me to update this one….. Again I must that everything is wonderful! I hear a lot about this place and when I went in the service was quick. it was a slower time I’m going at 3:30 so in between lunch and dinner although there was steady traffic. Lots of people picking up orders. When I told the server that it was my first time the two guys behind me starting oohing and ahhhing lol and told me how delicious the pork was so I’ll have to come back because I had already gotten chicken on my salad. The salad was huge For a salad, a side of queso and a drink was $16 a little high for me but everything’s going up all the workers were working away at their own little job so I did like that they just kept working when it was slow it --seemed clean although the food area did seem a little bit messy I always get nervous when I go to a new place. The guy that served me did change gloves when he served me so I think they are conscience about cleanliness for sure. I will try it again, the salad I had was huge it’s basically a burrito with a giant pound of salad on top the dressing I did not like but I have a feeling that three out of five of my family members would like it in the queso I didn’t love either and the shredded chicken was super salty. Other than that, I would try this place again. the pork for sure next time.

The pollo asado was so dry that with the first bite you can hear it crunch. From the looks of it both the beans and chicken were so dry, they weren’t hydrating enough. $1 extra for that chicken was not worth it. In the picture it looks great but like they say, looks can be deceiving!!

Pretty decent lunch/dinner choice when running around town. Pictures shown with a softdrink was right at $20. Clean dining area and mostly friendly service. One of the few places still with serve your own fountain drink service.

The food ordered from here thru door dash was less than unexceptional it was out right some of the worst service I have received, the food I had ordered was made as if their was no consideration for the customer or the quality of food they were sending out. I feel it is the fault of management also for not making sure that even to go orders are up to the standards of all locations and to keep their customers satisfied and to create customer retention. What they did was the opposite of wanting customer retention, the food had no meat and was just tortillas and lettuce, which if I wanted that I would have done it at home and not paid 30 dollars for lettuce tacos when I ordered pork tacos, if I knew this was going to be an issue to take care of the customers from this location I would have just ordered else where. Regardless of when the order is placed which I am sure I had the last order it should have been made with the time and quality of each and every order than comes thru wheater it is for dine in or to go.

Don't bother coming after 7:30, restaurant might as well close at 8. The last two times I've been in have been at 8:30pm (1hr 30min before closing) and the employees are more focused on closing the store than serving food. This time it took about five minutes for someone to acknowledge me, despite the three employees walking around the kitchen and no other customers in line. The employee was rude when I asked for an item they were out of, not my fault you don't have it. When I got my food, it was at room temperature and not warm at all. I've had great food from this location but every time I've gone between 8-9pm has been trash. If I was showing up 10 minutes before closing I would understand, but each time has been more than an hour before closing.

Having managed and run pizza restaurants before, I’m a self proclaimed pizza snob. Found this gem on a stop in Boise. Wow! 10/10! The crust was perfect! Toppings to crust to cheese ratio was spot on! Magnificent balance of flavors! And the staff was amazing and friendly! The atmosphere was exactly what a pizza place should be!! Love it! Keep it up!

Ordered a large Idaho Supreme. Not good, there hardly any topping on it. The dough was way soggy. Spending $25.00 on a pizza, you expect to have good toppings.
Tom W — Google review
Of all the Idaho Pizza restaurants I've visited - this was the worst. I forewarn that my visit was at the beginning of the Sunday rush after church and apparently some sporting events. The configuration of the restaurant is awkward to say the least. Where the stores at other locations have more of a double-sided buffet line this has a two-tier heat lamp space that is located directly by the cash register area and causes a serious pinch point. One and a half people can stand in front of it at a time to extract Pizza and to your right is a crowd at the cash register area to your left is a soda fountain area that prevents you from standing any place but directly in front of the pizza or to the right of it. The latter is difficult because it's close to the cash register area and pretty busy. The selection of pizza was decent but again congested and you had to wait for five to seven other people in front of you to get pizza one to two people at a time. The salad bar was unkempt, unsanitary, messy and not being well stocked and absent of additional salad plates helping guests know to take fresh plates. Items were being topped off instead of properly rotated. So for instance black olives were a half inch deep and regardless of the fact there was some diced hard boiled egg on it and mushroom bits more olives got dumped right on top. It was chaotic and poorly kept as business was very steady at this point. The unsanitary part came when I looked at the iceberg salad mix seeing only one tong on one side I looked for the other tong but it was buried in the lettuce ...the handle all the way in that everyone had been touching was now in the bin of salad touching everything else. Also there were no salad plates to be found so customers were still using their old plates. This is a health code violation that's been addressed previously and is forced the management to put up signs that read "a new plate must be taken every time" when you approach the salad bar or the pizza area. If that's the case then you got to supply the plates to go with it. Also while on the topic of unsanitary for the salad bar - the mushroom slices were coated in the black dirt they we're grown in - nor had they been washed and were visually contaminated. I found small bits of cardboard also in the mushrooms. The bathroom was gross... with feces splashed on the back side of the toilet bowl. I would suggest that the unlit fireplace somehow be reconfigured to be the pizza and it would really be ideal as the circular shape would allow multiple access points. I'd also point out that on such a beautiful day that today was ...it would have been great to be able to sit outside... however the chairs were stacked - the tables devoid of any umbrella and the area unkempt. Call Swire Coca-Cola and get yourself some umbrellas - put them out - put the chairs around the tables - sweep it up and let your guests sit outside if they wish. This Idaho Pizza location seems like it's way lazier than the rest.

Went Sunday around 2. Cashiers unfriendly. I got to go salad. Only allowed one small container for dressing. Was not given a sack to carry my salad and container. I'm older and had difficulty walking much less trying to carry my food out. So of course it spilled at the car. I will not return.

The thermostat mut be in the back by the ovens. It was 66 degrees in the dining area with all the overhead fans a blazing. Had to eat outside; loved the food and the staff tried to help, but indicated they had no control of the dining area temperature. Also, just FYI - and not part of my review stars - I went out to my car in the parking lot mid-meal to get something and noticed a crowd of folks not puffing on cigarettes, if you know what I mean.

My boyfriend and i called in an order for a pizza for our family. He spent 15 minutes on the phone placing the order and even asked the gentleman to repeat it back to be sure there were no mistakes. The gentleman stated he was “new here”. We were told the pizza would be ready in 25 minutes. We arrived about 35 minutes later just to ensure that when we did the pizza would be ready and we could pick it up and leave. Come to find out, the order was never submitted. There was no sympathy or offer to make things right after explaining the situation to staff just that the order would be made. So 35 minutes ended up being close to an hour and a half wait for our food. Eventually my boyfriend was able to speak to a manager about the situation and a “credit” was given. The pizza is great here but your customer service today was horrible and needs improved upon. Very disappointed in this experience.

Went there for Mother’s Day with a couple of friends. All of us are moms and we all got a free salad bar and flower for Mother’s Day. We each bought a soda. What a wonderful treat. But this Mother’s Day special was wonderful! The gal greeting us at the door dressed up and handing out the flowers was so sweet and nice. We love the salad bar at IPC! The lunch salad bar/pizza/drink all you can eat is the best deal in town. One of our favorite places. The Fairview location is great for kids with games for them to play. The Broadway one is great, super nice staff. .

Chick-fil-A is a popular fast-food establishment that specializes in chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads, and various sides. In particular, Corinne provided special attention to students who were learning English and displayed kindness throughout. Although the name of the manager was not caught, they went above and beyond by personally assisting a student who was short on payment for their meal.

The workers are nice, but they don’t know what they’re doing. I have been here a lot, and they often mess up basic things like frozen lemonade, and the chicken has even been undercooked a few times. I’m hesitant to complain because I’m not really about that, but I have definitely been sick from their nuggets before. So I figured the least I could do was write a bad review, which they do deserve unfortunately.

We brought in a large group of middle schoolers to order lunch and the whole staff was extremely patient, friendly, and helpful. Corinne gave special attention and help to our students who are learning English and was so sweet. The manager (whose name I didn't catch) came out and (with what may have been his own personal credit card) helped a kid who was 1 cent short on his meal. The not-taking-cash thing made things really complicated for our kids but the staff was phenomenal and made up for the inconvenience. Thanks for being such nice humans!

Fiesta Chicken, located in a small strip mall with limited parking off Ustick, is gaining a reputation for its delicious street tacos. Despite the slightly higher price of $2.50 per taco, customers appreciate the generous portions and quality ingredients. The restaurant is considered an underrated gem in Boise, drawing locals and visitors alike to its drive-thru for flavorful chicken dishes. The Chipotle Chicken Tacos are particularly recommended for their irresistible flavor.
Being from CA, I have to admit, finding super good food in Idaho in comparison is a little bit more tricky. When people ask my favorite places to eat in Idaho I can’t help but mention Fiesta Chicken. I’ve never had anything other than the Chipotle chicken tacos but it was love at first sight. So delicious, amazing flavor. My friends who have gotten other things always love what they get. Good food at good prices, but some issues. I stopped in today for the first time and ordered the Chicken Taco Salad and a 16oz. bowl of chicken tortilla soup... Both were wonderful, and they didn't skimp on either dish.. So, why only 4 stars? 1) Initially, they handed me a taco salad that was soaked in Pico juice, so much so that the tray had a puddle and the counter they sat it on was also puddled... I had to ask them to remake. 2) The in-restaurant table ware couldn't be any worse... tiny little spoons and forks that bend when you breathe on them... Made eating soup and salad way too much of a chore. 3) I stood at the counter for 3 or 4 minutes, while employees walked by and said nothing, nor took order, etc... Finally one of them said, "Have you been helped"... That was a "No". Bottom line is that the food is tasty and a good value, but they should better consider the customer experience.

These are some big tacos! This was my first time there, heard some guys talking about how good the tacos were there. Im a former Texan and i love a taco challenge, i grew up next to the taco capital of the world! The taste is amazing and they fill them up! If you are not super hungry, just order one! These tacos taste like some of the best street food tacos I have ever had but on steroids! These are the only tacos I will eat from now on here in Idaho ! Nice job guys!!!!

9 out of 10 times you order extra sauce/dressing and they don't give you the extra sauce you paid for (not the salsas), my family has started to call it the "sauce tax". I really need to start a spreadsheet to track this statistic because it's getting to the point of hilarious. I've gotten home and turned around just to get my sauce, and literally asked them hey did you remember to put the extra sauce, been told yes, then open the bag and its not there 😐. If it was free I'd be fine but I pay for those and never get them. The chicken is also starting to get dry, like tastes reheated lately, I get the prices being raised but not giving me my extras I pay for everytime, and the food getting drier is very disappointing.

Pretty tasty and super affordable! We got the Birria Taco, Carne Asada Taco, Creamy Cilantro Chicken Taco and Creamy Cilantro Beef Taco and these were all on flour tacos. I especially loved the Birria Taco and the Carne Asada Taco but I wouldn’t say I was over the moon about the Creamy Cilantro Chicken Taco. I love their creamy cilantro sauce although I think it’s a little silly to charge for extra sauce in a little container.

It's an authentic Mexican taqueria. We ordered street tocos, which were good. I'm only giving it a 3 star as nothing stands out. The service was good with friendly and helpful staff. If you want quick, common Mexican, this is a good place.

I’d heard a lot about this place from my buddies so I had to try it for myself. At first glance it doesn’t look like anything special, but once you look into the kitchen you know you’re about to get something good. I tried the chipotle chicken taco, which is a very fresh taco with crisp lettuce, the birria taco and a quesobirria taco. Out of what I ordered I’d recommend the quesobirria. It’s hard to find local spots serving birria and I’m happy that this place exists. Tacos range from $1.50-$4 depending on what type. The smells in here make me feel like I’m back in Mexico and the food is great! I’d definitely recommend you at least try Fiesta Chicken if you enjoy authentic style Mexican food. They have everything from street tacos to meal platters. You might just fall in love!

Very disappointed with what I received I ordered through Uber eats very excited to try chipotle for the first time wanting to know the hype so I got A burrito bowl for me and a couple burritos for my coworkers. To what I thought was going to be amazing was a sad surprise to me it literally looks like someone threw up in my bowl I ordered mine with Chicken and there was none and my coworkers burritos were so small the size of my fist and they were each $16 a piece. I tried to call customer service and tell them about it but it was a robot and then I almost got ahold of someone but then was hung up on. I don't want to be a Karen but I'm very sad and disappointed and want my money back I tried everything I could with Uber but all I got was a 20% off promo. Just sad..

Wish I had read the reviews before I did a mobile order. Ordered double meat that was debatable. Probably 70% of my burrito was rice. I also ordered chips and salsa. The chips were laughably stale and hard. I thought I had broken a tooth. The cherry on top, I called the store to let them know about the chips so maybe they could swap them out for fresh ones for other customers, (not me, i was already back at work) and as soon as I told the woman on the phone, she hung up on me. I called back only to have the phone ring for about 2 minutes. I'm not waiting longer than that. I definitely won't go back here. Other than the chicken being skimpy and the overall size of my burrito being smaller than I've gotten before from other locations, it wasn't too bad. Fair at best.
Chad M — Google review
Hit or miss with mobile orders. It’s always such a small portion and they NEVER fill the side cups like they used to; yet they continue to raise prices. In order to get your full portion, you’ve got to be in store and telling them to put more. These meals are for ADULTS, I should look like a kids meal with only 10 bites to be taken before you’re done. Thanks for the snack Chipotle. UPDATE: going in person is it yall - new pics attached
K B — Google review
JUST walked out of the chipotle. Complained that the gal making my food barely sprinkled rice into my bowl, they offered to charge me for extra rice which i dont see how it would be extra considering i didnt get a full portion anyways. Can yall at least TRY to be consistent with portion sizes?? This bowl is pitifully under filled.
Coffin C — Google review
I went to this location instead because they used to be consistent. I’ll try to keep this small like the amount of rice they gave me for my meal. I got a bowl only to not even at least have the bottom leveled with rice since that’s the main filler. Along with getting some tacos since I saw how small the rice portions are and I am not getting charged for double for a normal amount of rice. Even more so when I got home, I have never had any tacos be wetter than what I have received today. It’s so soggy that it is cold when I opened them. I refused to keep eating them because of it. I would suggest Taco Bell or Tortilla Factory over Chipotle until they get their team reevaluated on quality and portion sizing. Until then I will not be eating at any Chipotle location.
Cremis V — Google review
Last 3 times I’ve ordered from here they haven’t even filled my bowl halfway.

Noodles and Company is a restaurant that offers international noodles and pasta dishes. It has two locations in Boise, Idaho. The food is always popular and the staff is always happy to see customers.
This was my first time at a noodles restaurant. I'm impressed. They had a great selection of gluten free options. I actually got a side of Mac and cheese! The curry shrimp was good too. I like seeing fresh produce for the kitchen to use. The service was very friendly and helpful. They all had the perfect tone of voice. I appreciate the kindness.

Daughter likes because they offer tofu and ordered Japanese Pan Noodles. Husband likes the Asian dishes and ordered Spicy Korean Beef. I got zoodles and ordered Zucchini Grilled Orange Chicken. There was no problem with the food. We all liked what we ordered. The prices seem to increase while the amount of food decreases. The regular order used to be almost more than I could eat but that's no longer the case. Busy restaurant but employees are efficient and service is quick so many people like to eat here, especially if they aren't overly concerned with the calories.

I recently visited your store to place an order, and I want to start by saying the customer service at the time of ordering was very friendly and welcoming. However, when I got home and was ready to enjoy my meal, I discovered that only one of the items I received was correct—the other was completely wrong. I attempted to call the number listed on your website more than 10 times to report the issue. I even followed the automated system to get transferred to the direct location, but every time I pressed “0” to speak with someone, the call either disconnected or hung up. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to find no way to reach your team after a mistake was made. Your customer service needs improvement—especially when it comes to being accessible by phone. If customers can’t call your location to resolve issues, it reflects poorly on your service. Because of this, I can’t give a better review at this time.

Yokozuna Teriyaki is a popular Japanese restaurant located in Boise, Idaho. It offers a variety of traditional Japanese dishes with a focus on teriyaki bowls. The eatery is known for its gluten-free teriyaki sauce and also serves teriyaki sauce made with wheat-based soy sauce. Customers have praised the polite and helpful staff, as well as the delicious and well-portioned meals.
The shop is always so welcoming with its customers and always does a fantastic job cooking. Never once had a problem in the countless times ive been here. If there was, it was handled appropriately.

Very disappointed in trying this place.I was recommended by a coworker to test it out, but the bad reviews are correct. Lots of terrible places like these survive, because locals don't know anything better. I ordered the the Tonkatsu, and it was the most driest/over cooked thing I've had in a while.

Yokozuna Teriyaki on Vista is my go-to spot for a quick and delicious meal. The service is always friendly and fast — pro tip: call in your order and it’s ready to pick up in about 10 minutes. The chicken teriyaki and miso soup are my favorites, and they never disappoint. Great value, generous portions, and consistently tasty food. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a local spot that delivers every time!

We saw that this restaurant was well-reviewed so we gave it a shot, but now we're surprised by how many 5-star ratings there were. The service was decent, although a bit slow, and the servers/cooks didn't seem very interested in being there. Not sure I can blame them, but food is a service industry, so there ya go. The chicken in my wife's meal and the chicken and pork in my meal was stringy, fatty, and tasted terrible. We could both taste the fuel. The large chunks of vegetables were raw, which might be a style somewhere, but isn't usual for teriyaki. Only the rice was truly edible, and not really worth the effort. Neither of us finished our bowls. The restaurant was also playing an all-Christian pop-rock video channel on the TV - which is fine in itself, but not really something I want to listen to the entire time I'm trying to eat. While we love teriyaki, we will not be returning, and based on the other negative reviews, you shouldn't either.

Hits every time. I go here religiously for the affordable, nutritious, and tasty meals. Service is always fast. If you call in a order it will be ready in less than 10 minutes.

I ordered my lunch to go. This was my first time and it definitely won’t be my last time. The food is really good and it’s the cutest little restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch to have a healthy meal. Choosing EMPOWRNG habits with this delicious teriyaki bowl with steamed veggies and rice makes for a great decision. Good portion size, cooked fresh and seasoned just right. Not overly seasoned with sauce. The chicken has nice sesame seeds. Don’t forget the huge menu choices for the boba tea! Great value, great service and great taste!

just ordered a sukiyaki bowl with extra chicken and paid for extra chicken and got a teriyaki chicken bowl with more veggies then chicken which I didn't want any of. the lady working there said she was confused or didn't understand and then laughed. I had an appointment to get to otherwise I would've wanted them to make me the thing I ordered and paid for. not going to be spending money coming here if they can't get a simple 1 item order correct. feel completely ripped off and they could care less.

Located across the Treasure Valley, it's a popular spot for quick Greek and Mediterranean pitas, salads, and rice bowls. The menu caters to various dietary needs including vegetarian, gluten-free, and Halal options. Known for its affordable, fast, and tasty Mediterranean dishes, Gyro Shack has recently expanded its menu to include salads and new rice bowls to accommodate changing customer preferences.
Amazing food and service! One of the last Gyro shacks with the spicy red sauce that goes perfect on the "Ultimate" Gyro! Definitely worth the trip from Caldwell to get lunch just for the ultimate and red sauce!!! Superior taste quality ingredients! Great staff friendly service! A+
Blake S — Google review
Haven't had Gyro shack since they were in the small shack in the parking lot of their current location. It was a relatively good experience, the website wouldn't let us pay so we had to come in person which isn't too big a hassle since we'd have to pick it up anyway. The staff were nice and worked very fast so I was pleased in that aspect. The only hiccup was they forgot to switch my gyro meat to chicken. But we asked to change the meat on two of the gyros so it was probably an honest mistake, it still tasted good.
Sean K — Google review
Ordered a gyro from the drive-thru. Transaction time was under 1 min and my gyro tasted just like they did in Athens without the grease. No pun intended, it was just a cleaner experience!
Josh K — Google review
I've given these guys multiple chances to get even ONE food delivery order right and I'm no longer going to order from this location. My gyro had half of what I wanted on it and they were all Upcharges so thanks for taking our money! It's always cold by the time we get it despite living two miles away. I'm super disappointed in the service and food especially for the price. $14 gyro that was completely unsatisfying.

DoorDash driver review and customer review. Orders are always ready upon arrival and staff is awesome. Customer review food is delicious. It's no wonder that people pay me extra to deliver from this establishment to very remote places.
Jason F — Google review
Good, friendly, quick service. The gyros and pita bread were good, standard Greek fare for sure. The chicken strips were cheaper than other places but just kind of mid to be honest. The lemon rice chicken soup (which isn't on the menu by the way but they did have it when I asked) was not our favorite, we're used to a bit thicker soup broth and more Greek flavor, also the rice was a bit hard aka undercooked. Is go back for the gyros but would skip the chicken strips and soup next time.

When coming into this location name, Kenzie and Junior are incredibly friendly and professional. They have an expert awareness of the food juniors abilities as a chef is incredibly positive and McKenzie is an amazing cashier. The food is super fresh because of Junior and it is incredible experience. Everybody enjoy these experiences the food compliments are muscle gorilla the food complement your strength.
