Malaysian restaurant
Lemang To'ki is a popular restaurant located outside the town center, known for its specialty lemang, a glutinous coconut rice cooked in bamboo sticks. The lemang is prepared over an open fire and comes in different sizes at varying prices. This spot offers more than just lemang; visitors can also savor rendang, ayam bakar, patin tempoyak, and smoked duck curry.
Ayam Bakar is grilled very well and smoky taste is good. Lemang with beef and chicken is very flavorful and the rice has a nice fragrant taste, almost similar to glutinous rice. There are other stalls around as well, including a dessert stall with a good ABC dessert. Reasonable prices and nice rustic environment.

Had a great experience at Lemang Tokki! The lemang was tasty and paired perfectly with chicken rendang, beef rendang, and sambal hitam. The grilled chicken was also excellent especially with their Air Asam (spicy sour dip), which really enhances the flavor. At the back, there’s a section serving rice, various side dishes, and fresh fruits. The place is easy to find, offers plenty of parking, and cash is needed for the back section as QR payments aren’t available there. A must-visit for lovers of authentic Malaysian food!

Went on Sunday which Monday is a Public Holiday and it was school holiday season. The place was super packed with people, but the waiting time was not that long. The ordering system & payment quite well planned and made the whole transactions smooth. Foods price were reasonable and the portion was fair. Lemang was well cooked with less crust on its outside. Rendang ayam was delicious, so as the sambal hitam. Recommended.
Zaffira G — Google review
Authentic malay lemang taste! Exciting ambience with "old tressures", cozy crawling plants feels like in certain part of Europe! Love it!
Dzul T — Google review
Been here quite a few times, usually for breakfast. The lemang is definitely the highlight. It is soft, rich, slightly salty, and cooked just right with no hard crusty bits. Paired with their rendang (both chicken and beef), it’s a perfect combo. The rendang is well-cooked, flavorful, and the meat is tender, not chewy at all. Also tried their roti canai. It is crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and served with tasty curry. The queue to order moves quite fast, and the whole process of getting your food and paying is smooth and efficient. Prices are reasonable for the portion and taste. If you want to avoid the crowd, best to come early because it gets busy fast. Definitely one of my go-to breakfast spots!
Adiba Z — Google review
Good food, super crowded. Food were nice, small portions though.thr lemang was creamy and perfectly cooked. But the roti sarang burung only available during afternoon 3pm. Beverage orders in different lane, rice sihes also ordered in different lane. Overall the order and customer experience can be troublesome, not friendly and missing out opportunity for visitors to experience and try more food.
Jonath L — Google review
The fragrant lemang went well with the proteins, the flavour of the beef was excellent, while the daging wasn’t hard, if it was a bit more tender, it would just rock the meal! The roast & rendang chicken were not too bad either, but the star was definitely the lemang! Probably also the reason for the Q of cars & bikes along Federal Route 8 around the restaurant!
Calvin T — Google review
Stop by at 08.40am friday morning for a breakfast. Easy to park with moped & above during that time. Car and above need to park on the road side, an exercise before having your meal. Ate fried rice with sambal nasi lemak, fried chicken & small salted fish, delicous 👍. Then followed by 2 dish of lemang & rendang share with 3 person. A must try/ Stop for traveller especially for bikers on saturday & sunday. We have a "tea O & Tea Tarik" unfortunately it's taste was very dissapointed...maybe for our only. Try it your own, every persons have a different taste & choice.

Cafe
Pintô Coffee+ is a charming café nestled deep in the lush tropical jungle, deliberately designed with a half-completed exterior. Accessible via two steep and narrow slopes, this wooden building offers a serene escape from city life, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the forest. The menu features must-try items like Kopi Banjaran & Mi Atjeh, with their special coffee grown around the café.
Pinto Cafe: A Jungle Oasis with Rustic Charm! My recent visit to Pinto Cafe was an absolutely amazing cafe experience, truly a hidden gem! Nestled amidst lush trees, it genuinely feels like you've discovered a secret spot surrounded by the jungle. You'll be instantly captivated at the entrance by the striking sight of a beautiful two-storey wooden cafe. It's got a wonderful rustic charm that perfectly blends with its natural surroundings. Inside, the menu is extensive, catering to every craving: from a wide array of coffees to refreshing non-coffee options, tempting pastries, and even hot food. For those looking for more than just a snack, they offer delicious options like pasta, various snacks, and hearty sandwiches. Pinto Cafe is the perfect escape when you want to enjoy good food and drinks in a unique, tranquil setting. Highly recommended for a delightful cafe adventure!

Pinto Cafe is such a beautiful spot in Janda Baik with warm wooden design, surrounded by nature, and a really calming atmosphere. Service was lovely too, especially one friendly waiter who even helped us take great photos. Food choices are limited but decent. Their signature Banjaran beans coffee is worth trying for the experience, though it’s on the lighter side and not as bold as some might expect. Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy the vibe, and soak in the surroundings.
NURAIN B — Google review
Feels like somewhere in the jungle. The coffee is really strong probably most Malaysian will like it but I find it too strong for me. Overall a chill and relaxing place with good efforts that owner put in. One thing has to be mention the coming up road is a bit scary. It only allows a car to get up or come down. So got to be extra careful while going up. As I rode a bike there the road was a bit scary for me.
HWG E — Google review
Beautiful cafe experience! There are two floors, the lower floor is much cooler, and the upper floor gives a glimpse of the surroundings. You can order from both floors - there's a food elevator (dumbwaiter) to send treats your way. Staff was polite and courteous, and one of them helped me switch out my English Breakfast tea packet for Chamomile. Super good air for a refreshing morning. Price is on the high side but you pay for the experience.
Xian L — Google review
environment is ok but, ~the food here was far below expectations. The coffee and iced lemon tea were completely bland, lacking any real flavor. The Big Breakfast was shockingly bad—the bread was hard, the butter was overwhelming, and the overall combination was unpleasant. The lekor lekor had a sour taste, which raised concerns about its freshness. As for the pasta, it had an overpowering raw flour taste, indicating it was poorly cooked or prepared. Overall, the quality of the food needs major improvement before it can justify the price point. Very disappointing.
MGT S — Google review
The place has a nice vibe, but the food was pricey and didn’t really live up to the hype. I ordered a sourdough sandwich, but what I got looked more like a regular bread and they still insisted it was sourdough in gardenia shape and it really didnt feel like it. Kinda disappointing. I came from quite far, but it just wasn’t worth it.
Lidiya I — Google review
Love the vibe. Rustic surrounded by nature. Just shock with the Americano Ice price 😆. We had a cupcake, fries, and A sourdough cheese bacon sandwich that we ordered twice. Drinks we had Americano, Ice lemon tea, Cold milk and Ice chocolate. Other than that all is good. You will love it there.

Restaurant
Kopi Ladang Restaurant is a popular breakfast and lunch spot located in Janda Baik and Bentong. The restaurant offers meticulously crafted homegrown coffee brewed at the perfect temperature for an exquisite aroma. It is known for its crowded and lively atmosphere, especially during the weekend mornings.
Food was really great. I would recommend the first timers to try their garlic bread + soup. Soup is gravish and full of flavour. Nice one, will def come back again Toilet also clean but.. the place overall is a bit run down. Really worth my 2 hours of journey from KL
Hani S — Google review
The atmosphere was okay with ground floor and upper floor eating area. Two ways to order food with ordering from the counter or ordering online. The online is not stabile and takes kore time than ordering at the counter. I ended up queuing up and ordering at the counter. The food was okay but nothing special. The fried chicken was rubbery and tasted odd. Both presentation and taste is quite plain and there is more delicious food elsewhere. The wait was quite long and we had to self service, taking our own food from counters to the table. Quite disappointed with the service.
Harman H — Google review
Having tea time here when visited Janda Baik. First impression the stool for baby chair was dirty even have leftover food not clean up. Counter staff was polite and have good knowledge on the menu product. My order were Nasi Ayam, Char Kuey Teow and Roti bakar. Nasi Ayam was salty for the soup, too much MSG usage and the chicken itself was cold. Char Kuey Teow seems okay however a bit leaner to "wok" taste can be a bit bitter to the taste. And lastly the roti bakar the bread itself was a bit hard. The only good thing was their white coffee which had unique taste. A quite disappointing and below expectation for my first time visit.
Shafiq I — Google review
Came early to avoid crowds in the morning during my first visit. This time my second visit, we reached 1.30pm for lunch, also less crowded even during the weekend. Service is quite fast and systematic -like fast food ordering concept. The sup daging got more taugeh than daging 😅 but I'm ok with it. The meat is tender. So as the daging salai masak lemak. Surau is quite comfortable located on the first floor.

A Charming Spot with Minor Hitches. Kopi Ladang offers a cosy and inviting atmosphere that feels remarkably well-maintained and highly organised, even when it's super crowded. The efficiency is impressive, ensuring a smooth experience despite the hustle. My only minor gripe is the limited parking spaces, which can be a bit of a challenge. Overall, a solid 4-star experience for its charm and service.
Hafiz H — Google review
The farthest and best breakfast spot for Kuala Lumpur residents, offering a wide variety of Malay food in a relaxing kampung setting. Visit on weekdays to avoid crowds and enjoy a peaceful morning. Instead of the usual Nasi Lemak, try their must order items, Kopi Ladang panas, Lempeng, and Char Kuey Teow.

Arrived at 3pm for lunch. Ordered for their special coffee, Set Nasi Sup Daging, Bihun Sup, Nasi Ayam & Set Nasi with Daging masak Lemak. The cashier really helpful & very nice. The food & portion was ok for me.

Ok. We were in Temerloh (Pasar Tani Ahad) and then wifey told me about this viral coffee place with beautiful view in Janda Baik, and I agree to make the 1 hour plus drive here. The coffee, to be honest, is above average and the roti bakar is tasty enough. But where's the by the river view? Haha Anyways 4 stars overall 👍🏻👍🏻

Restaurant
Warung Janda Baik - Lempeng is a must-visit gem in the heart of Janda Baik, offering delicious nasi lemak hijau and lempeng that are perfect for a hearty breakfast. The vintage restaurant design adds to its charm, but it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. Despite the challenge of parking, the affordable prices and delightful food make it a popular spot among locals and visitors alike.
The ambience is so nice...I love it...the restaurant is always busy..so make sure you come early coz after 8 or 9am, bikers will slowly come in groups... The nasi lemak is nice.. all the lauk taste good too... Ayam masak Merah is a bit sweet...kids will love it. I will come again to try lempeng. Drink's price is affordable. not like the price in hipster Resto. I also tried their roti kukus (steam bread) ask for less Kaya and more butter...it will taste better

Nostalgic cafe bringing you back to the seventies with their deco and trinkets throughout the cafe. There is ample seating and the rest room is clean. There is free street side parking but limited if you are driving. A lot of motorcycle groups come here too and can get quite packed during peak hours. The food is lovely, made with love and used fresh ingredients. The signature here would definitely be their "lempeng" which is a flat pastry made of coconut or banana. They are made fresh to order, soft and have a good balance of flavour. A sure recommended dish to have here.
Din S — Google review
Nice place for breakfast Serawa durian, lempeng pisang, lempeng kelapa, nasi lemak teh tarik were superb in taste. American breakfast, kopi not bad. Price consider reasonable n worth it Ambiance comfy n classical mode as well. Worth to visit Free roadside parking but limited space for cars.

One the viral place at JB. Located at 0KM mark of JB. Can be full of visitors for breakfast. Parking can be full, but can park along the road. Order, tell the table no for Lempeng, Roti Bakar etc. Drinks also order to drink counter. Nasi lemak no order needed. Go and take yourself. Affordable price. Delicious food and drinks. Recommended 👍.

Must visit place to eat when in Janda Baik, it's hard to miss due to their location that is in the middle of the town. Their nasi lemak hijau and the lempeng are really good. It's perfect for breakfast. Affordable price and they have vintage restaurant design with all classic stuffs. Parking might be a bit challenging, and tables are mostly full on weekends when I visited.

Cafe
Nero Bianco Deli is a pop-up cafe located in Janda Baik, featuring a striking black-and-white aesthetic that exudes an artistic and edgy vibe. The self-service drink station offers a variety of options from the Coffee & Tea selection. The deli offers a range of Western dishes at affordable prices, including German sausage, grilled lamb shanks, homemade cream of mushroom soup, and grilled beef sirloin steak.
Every bite demonstrate the Chef' s passion and skill. It is more than a meal; it’s an experience that lingers long after the last bite. I recommend to anyone who looking for western food at Janda Baik. You can ask them what is the best food should you order. We ordered grilled chicken chop, beef goulash, beef burger, zambouleya and fish and chips.

Came here at night and love the ambience. It has that nature vibe. When i came, it was rainy, make it even more comfortable and chill. The radio was playing lite.fm kinda song. You can just imagine how it is. Cashier and server were friendly. Food preparation was quite quick. It wasnt packed that night. Food to me is decent, i wouldnt say great.
Ihsan R — Google review
Nice place. Many friends recommended it so we came with high expectations. Food was good, just a bit surprised we had to go to the counter to order drinks and choose from the instant packs of drinks. There were some nice non sugar teas that tasted great. Grilled chicken was really good. Lots of black pepper. Lamb was a good portion, quite good. Pasta was a good portion for ladies but for young teens we had to top up some other dishes for our son. Overall good experience. Really nice place and ambiance. Only got the pictures of the drinks station.

Came here during rainy day, whole day. Friendly staff gave us warm smile when we chose the menu. We ordered fish and chips, mushroom soup, and spaghetti bolognaise. The food can be improved for fish and chips : the batter is just nice but too oily, chips need more seasoning maybe like adding a pinch of salt, and we never expected a fridge cold chilli sauce hehehe Mushroom soup : i can taste the mushroom but please make the soup thicker. After all it is delicious except for its consistency Spaghetti : tasty but need thicker sauce
Tri W — Google review
Loved the ambience and the setting. The staff who took our order was friendly too! Food was very mid for the price. We ordered 2 lamb burgers, 1 beef burger & the mushroom soup set. Price-wise, just okay for western food. We specifically requested non-spicy burgers, and the staff noted it — but they still came with black pepper sauce, which was too spicy for the kids. Sigh. What made it worse was the cook’s attitude. He mockingly (hopefully joking, but sounded cynical) repeated the order: “Non-spicy, noted. Burger, you want?” Not cool. On the bright side, the mushroom soup was really good — creamy and flavourful. Solid 5/5 for that. But the rest? Just mid — 3/5.
Rhea R — Google review
Coming here I had no expectations whatsoever except for the fact that it had the highest rating when googling “Janda Baik Cafes”. Though I could anticipate the prices as the online menu showed very western styled food. To my surprise the prices was standard of what you would get here in KL and the quality dare I would say is same if not better. I ordered their burger and i was surprised that the patty looked like it was home made and was juicy. Some might say the fires are a bit too salty but for me they were done perfectly but the coleslaw was nothing to write home about. The portion left more to be desired. I think from a price standpoint, taste matches it but portion wise, i wouldnt say it matches the price. The ambience was nice as it feels very homey and was surrounded by greenery and the cool air. My only gripe with the location is that the parking spots are a bit hard to access and not well defined and there are not many places to park to be honest. Overall had a good meal and a good place but left more to be desired on the portion sizes.
Adam Z — Google review
I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place deserves a shoutout. Went for dinner and loved the vibe—really nice ambience. Staff were super helpful, food came out fast, and most importantly, it tasted great. Keep it up! I’ll definitely drop by again one day.

One of my family favorite eatery away from the hustle and bustle of KL. Food is always good if you like western food. They also served limited local delicacies such as nasi lemak. Nowadays the have extended their menu with Chinese dishes. A plus point to a foodie like me. Keep it up 👍

What impressed me most was the excellent service. Even during busy hours, my order was prepared quickly, and the staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. Found in Google and usually like to give a chance to try/explore as we head to Raub. We use Waze as I know its along side the highway so drive sensibly when nearing it to not miss turn. From KL, we need to park on left side and walk under the highway, a little pathway along river to the other side where the cafe is located. Very welcoming and beautiful place combined with nature theme. Served by polite waiters. Many seats available(maybe low season). Food was priced slightly higher until the real food arrive, I think price is justified with reasonable huge portion. Taste is good for the Mee goreng I ordered. Other friends had some nice breakfast too. This is a hidden gem. Can bring children to get close to nature and little river they made with a swinging platform. I will be back with family.

You pay for the ambience; waterfalls, shade of greens, birds, and of course the occasional traffic since the cafe is located right next to the East-Coast Expressway. Parking space is on the other side of the road. We were there early for breakfast in weekdays so no one is there except for us. The food is nice, the service can take a bit of time.

Went here on the insistence of the missus. Drove and drove and drove... and missed the turning cos the signboards are soooooo bad! Had to make a massive u-turn and finally got to the parking. Had to walk quite a bit on this makeshift bridge which they call "A bridge under a bridge". Got there, sat down, and was attended to by a very polite gentleman. There's a lot of seating so take your pick. Just remember that if you sit near the river, you'll probably have to deal with screaming idiotic children playing. If you hate kids like I do, that's going to be a problem. I got the nasi goreng Aina and the missus got the laksa Johor; we shared a cucur udang. Food finally came and it was definitely pretty... and that was it. The fried rice was soooooo boring, and the missus said she's had better laksa at roadside stalls. The cucur udang was 1 prawn wrapped in a tonne of batter. Absolutely crap! Seems like this place gives more importance to figure than form; as long as it's pretty, it doesn't matter if it tastes atrocious. My advice = if you're going to drive allllll the way from Klang Valley to go there for the food, please don't! You can find better food in a million different places. But if you want to drive to feed your camera, then yeah, it's worth it. Me, I'm NEVER going back again!

A good place to dine surrounded by the greens & beside the clear water river. The parking area is only west bound only. People from Kuantan need to u-turn to this parking area. The restaurant is well kept & clean. As we can see, they got multiple designated dine in place. Our breakfast meal was well present & good. Also we got a chance to explore the surrounding area & climb the stairs up to the top of the hill at the back yard as we counted they got 284 staircases. Overall, for me this restaurant is great!

Pineyard Cafe is a charming spot located on Jalan Karak, just 10 minutes from Bentong. The cafe's minimalist interior and cozy atmosphere make it a popular choice for visitors. It offers ample seating and a spacious parking area, although there may be queues during peak times. The generous food portions are satisfying, but some find the prices of soft drinks to be on the higher side.
It was a spontaneous trip without any plans and I stumbled upon this place. What i heard was ,this place is crowded during weekends or holidays. So i came during off peak season. First, its the place. People come here for its view, scenery and nature. If u remember theres an old tv commercial called Salem high country where theres a lot of pine trees, this area can replicate that commercial. It looks quite Mediterranean. The cafe itself is worth mentioning eventhough the view itself is the star of the show. The food is suprisingly tasty and the nasi lemak has that sweet santan fragrant and taste. For me, the food must fulfill basic required taste. Any special extra touch in its taste is a bonus. Of course u shouldn't be expecting Michelin Star etc.😂 The food price is above average but if you dont mind the slight price hike, you can sit there and enjoy the beautiful view while having your meal and coffee. That experience itself is priceless.🤩 Overall, if you make the trip during off peak season, where its not hectic and still is peaceful, then the 40 min drive is worth it. Recommended for nature lovers. 🥰

Beautiful cafe accessible enough from the city, and serves as a beautiful introduction to Janda Baik. Scenic pond views and tall ceilings makes a comfortable dining experience. Food is just ok ok for me, had the Eggs Benedict felt the sides it served *sweet potato were re-fry because it was so dry inside out hard to even swallow had to drink 2 glass of water down my throat. Others were fine, if I were to enjoy my cuppa tea/coffee with pastries that would be perfect plus with this view & fresh air.

Tranquil place to unwind and enjoy the greenery. Loved the towering pine trees and the wooden structures of Pineyard. We enjoyed what we ordered, the chocolate and taro bagels we took with us back to KL was yummy too. The sun was smiling at us so we managed to take many good photos here. Sat on the grass and just got grounded on the field overlooking the pond. Overall really relaxing and zen getaway place, will surely come back again.

Pineyard is a hidden gem deep within Janda Baik. Surrounded by a tranquil lake and towering pine trees, it's more than just a cafe; it's a soothing space where you can escape the city's hustle and reconnect with nature. From a lakeside table, you can savour delicious food while admiring the stunning scenery. If you're lucky, you might even spot wild monkeys darting through the trees. Spending a leisurely afternoon here, enjoying this feast for the senses, is the perfect way to unwind.

Came here for some dessert and coffee after lunch nearby. We wrote our name on the waiting list and were called within 5 minutes despite the crowd during the long weekend. The desserts and pastries were quite nice, and the coffee was decent too.
Leh P — Google review
Food was mediocre, lowkey bad especially for the price paid. Wouldn't recommend what we got — big breakfast and eggs benedict. The eggs we received were definitely not poached more like (hard) boiled. Coffee and matcha was good tho, I'll give them that. Good vibes, nice view but that's all unfortunately.

Been a while when I last visited here. Reading the below average reviews before coming all the way from PJ. Not very convinced as I had a pleasant visit previously. Lo and behold, it has indeed deteriorated so much. In terms of service and food. Firstly I was greeted by a unwelcoming Indian at the front. Looking at me up and down without a smile. (a far cry from a friendly staff previously). We were quite full after a lunch so we just ordered a Iced Cappuccino and matcha red bean bagel. The bagel was small, was super chewy and hard as though it was made of some kind of rubber. And the filling was a total let down. It cost me RM12 mind you. Compared that to the one I had yesterday at Pavilion DH at half the price (see photo). It's like heaven and earth. So will I go back, no way.

Restaurant
Hooi Ji Wan Ton Noodles is a popular spot known for its delicious wan tan mee. The stall operates at night and often has a long wait due to its brisk business. The noodles are cooked perfectly and seasoned with tasty soy sauce, complemented by flavorful wantan and char siew. Another visitor had breakfast at the famous Hooi Ji Wanton Noodles, where they enjoyed the bustling atmosphere and shared a table with locals while savoring the popular dish.
Very springy and bouncy wan ton noodles. Today just a short wait. Their orders non stop. Sat in front of the stall and can see first hand how fast they prepare their endless orders. Worth the short wait. Accept cash only. No touch n go. Should upgrade this shortcoming. Can support for sure 💯 👌

Super crowded during weekend , If you from selangor or KL ppl , u can 100% skip the wan tan mee . (Need order at stall) Yong tau fu must try as special here. Self service , Need to choose and pay at the stall Drink - can skip if you from ipoh , kopi ice dont hv “kik”

Crowded!! Yong tau foo is nice but wanton mee really disappointed.

Super tasty wan tan mee, like the wan tan, noodles is chewy, both sauce for the dry type and soup are tasty. Worth try. Prepare to wait long, more than 30min, worth it. Hard to find parking lots or tables. Will return for it.

I like the wan tan mee, one of my favourite now. This kopitiam has limited seats and crowded during breakfast.
Meng P — Google review
Had to come here as it was so highly recommended. Came out really disappointed. The wonton noodles is definitely not the best as claimed, just average. At RM8 per bowl no wonder the locals shun this stall. The Yong Tau Foo was better but still just so so.

Tried the curry ccf & wtm, nothing special to shout out but the attitude of the wtm stall worker. But the zap fan next stall is something you should try especially their daily soup. It was soso good.
Shea S — Google review
Chance upon this stall selling wanton noodle the previous day while we had the food from the neighboring stall. According to my friend, this stall is very popular with the locals. The wanton noodle comes in 2 prices. MYR$7.50 or MYR$8.50. The difference being the latter comes with braised chicken feet. I was informed by the aunty that the waiting time will be a while. Waited for almost 15mins before my food came. The bowl of wanton mee comes with both fried and normal wanton. Portion was rather generous. The wanton noodle here is the typical black sauce kind. Noodle was nicely cooked, texture of noodle was springy. Sauce was a little too much i feel. Overall, a above average bowl of wanton noodle for me.

Just a normal typical morning market. In fact it's small and not much variety. Over-hyped and not worth visiting unless shopping for durian during the season , famous ginger or fried tofu Bad traffic and over crowded eateries on weekends. Food is not cheap and definitely so so only.

Absolutely love the food here. We had bfast on the way to Kuantan, loved it! So we came back for early dinner on the way back to KL a few days later. Looks like this will be our ‘wajib’ pitstop at every Kuantan trip 🙂

A cool morning, rained the night before, very misty and felt like floating in the clouds. We were first to arrive and parking was ample. After sitting ourselves down, we saw the crowd coming in, one group after another. We put in our order for sandwich and coffee. There's more to the menu but we just left our stomach for some other food in Bentong/Raub. The cooks had their hands full and we got our order after waited for more than 15 minutes. The coffee was normal good but the sandwich was exceptionally good. We decided not to pursue more from here as were afraid the wait might be long. We'll definitely come again early to try more food.

This place serves tasty & reasonably priced food & drinks. It was kinda crowded during brunch hour as we went on a public holiday, but food were served quite quickly. There are 3 pickleball courts nearby (Pickeasy by Song Yan) so this cafe is a popular choice with families. We will return to try other options on the menu. 🙂

A small cafe in bentong, before going up to genting. It's pet friendly. They offer simple food. The garlic bread is simple but flavourful. Lamb chop is a bit tough, the berry sauce and the vegetables are very little. Ginger milk tea is very good, warming and fragrant. Berry juice is very refreshing too. They are a little understaffed so need to self service a little bit

Dim sum restaurant
Tong Lok Dim Sum 桐樂点心 offers a wide selection of over 30 varieties of Hong Kong style dim sum. Located in Kg. Kemansur, Bentong, this small dim sum shop is known for its fresh and delicious dishes. The stir-fried carrot cake is fragrant with wok hei, while the steamed chee cheong fun is thin and smooth.
We traveled all the way to this highly-rated dim sum restaurant in Bentong, and it did not disappoint—definitely worth the journey. KH Guide & Rating: • Accessibility: ★★★★☆ (Ample parking space for up to 10 cars) • Cleanliness: ★★★★☆ (Well-maintained and tidy) • Ambience: ★★★★☆ (Comfortable and pleasant atmosphere) • Food Quality: ★★★★☆ • 鮮蝦腸粉: Excellent—thin, smooth rice noodle skin wrapped around large, naturally steamed prawns. We liked it so much we ordered a second plate. • 鮮較子: A rare find in most dim sum restaurants, and it was delicious—definitely worth trying. • 魚賣: Springy, chewy, and a must-try. Would be perfect with a little less salt. • Other dishes: 叉燒包 and steamed bean curd skin with fish were decent but nothing extraordinary. • Pricing: ★★★★☆ (Reasonable and attractive) • Service: ★★★★☆ (Slightly slow during peak hours, especially on Sunday noon) • Would Visit Again? Yes!

Who would have thought that there was such a newly renovated Dim Sum restaurant here in the outskirts of Bentong. Food wise, everything was packed with flavour and were freshly made as the food was more on the less salty side and I would recommend both adults and children alike to eat them due to the widely acceptable and familiar taste. We ordered some of their signature dishes which include Portuguese egg tarts, Siew Mai, and their truffle prawn wantan, etc which tasted amazing. Environment wise, the place was clean and newly renovated thus boasting a high end feeling such as eating at an expensive restaurant which is an increase in terms of satisfactory and acts as a hidden gem in the countryside of Bentong. Would definitely come back here again, as the restaurant also offers limited products such as Chinese New Year dedicated food items and the staff were very friendly too.👏🏻

The dim sum here is decent & nothing particularly outstanding, but still enjoyable if you're not too picky. The pricing is fairly reasonable for what you get, so it's not too hard on the wallet. Parking around the area is quite limited, so it might take a bit of time to find a spot. Overall, it's an okay place for a simple dim sum outing if you're nearby.
TK Y — Google review
The dim sum is overall delicious, though the Cheung Fun falls slightly below average. Service is attentive, and the environment is clean. However, parking is limited, and double parking is often necessary, even on weekdays. They also offer frozen dim sum for takeaway if you'd like to bring some home.
Sean Y — Google review
One of the top dim sum place in Bentong town. Come for the authentic home made dim sum, chee cheong fun and fried carrot cake. I like how they paid attention to the little details, like the tongs to wash tea cups in hot water. And the toilet is so clean, you should check that out too.

I’d say the food is definitely above average. You can really taste the freshness of the handmade dim sum, and the pork flavor is not overwhelming, which is a plus. The shrimp dumplings have very thin skin, and you can tell they’re freshly made. When I went, they also had a special New Year menu. I tried the lychee shrimp ball, which was unique and something I haven’t had in KL before. It’s also very Instagram-worthy. But the best dish was definitely the xiao long bao. Although it wasn’t super juicy, the ginger—likely from Bentong—was finely chopped and gave a really nice flavor. The vinegar that came with it also complemented the dish perfectly. It was so good that we ended up ordering two baskets, and when we tried to order a third, it was already sold out. Staffs are friendly and fast in service 👍 I highly recommend trying the dim sum here, and definitely don’t miss the xiao long bao!

If you find yourself in Bentong, Pahang, make sure to stop by The Qiū Dining for a delightful culinary experience. This pet-friendly café is nestled in a serene natural setting, complete with the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall. Their coffee is particularly noteworthy and has garnered much love from visitors. On my recent visits, I was pleasantly surprised by their unique fusion of Western dishes infused with Indian flavors—an innovative twist that truly stands out!
What a hidden gem where you can enjoy your food in the serenity and beauty of nature. Perfect to be here early in the morning when you can still feel the chill of the air. This is a pet-friendly place. Many people bring their pet to run around here and have fun. The foods are delicious. We ordered some snacks only 1) the fried sweet potato is crunchy and naturally sweet. 2) the taco is not really a taco. More like a Japanese wrap. However. The taste is great and tasty too 3) the cheesy pizza is awesome. The thin crust is soft and the cheese is fragrant and lovely This is an amazing place to come close to the nature. Highly recommended for pet lovers

We visited on a weekday evening, only two other customers at the indoors seating area. Outdoors also not busy. As we were about to enjoy the atmosphere after ordered our food, we were blasted by the loud noise from a walkie-talkie at cashier counter. I had to go downstairs to tell them to lower the volume. Looks like the staff had no idea what is their main attraction or why do people visit a place like this. Definitely not for the foods. Although nicely presented, the taste was average. The cumin chicken chop came with two types of potatoes mashed and fries instead of salad. During meal, there were a large and small flies hovering around. After meal, we checked out the river in the property. Nice river with clean clear water. Too bad, it was marred by the black pipes. No doubt it was a nice property but our dining experience was below our expectations.

Went there quite awhile ago, ordered a chicken chop and it was delicious. Sweet and salty with an herb-like aroma. My mother had the fried sweet potato with their house sauce and it was one of the best sauces Ive had! Very lovely. Environment and atmosphere was great because we went on a slow day, got to enjoy my personal time with my mother and grandma 💓 As well as enjoying our meal 😋

Stopped there at about 230pm on the way back from Kuantan with a group of 12. Slight drizzle. No seats as it was drizzling and open air seating was not possible. We have to wait for customers to leave, clean the table and seat ourselves. No staff to help us. I ordered the lamb. The kitchen is away from the dining area and they brought the food, uncovered in the rain. No umbrellas even. The lamb look like a big portion but it's only 0.5cm thick. Just slightly thicker than a "bak kua". Being sliced so thin, it has lost the flavour of moist lamb after being pan fried on both sides, cooked well done. Probably it is sliced thin so that it can be cooked faster but it would taste better if it's thicker and moist and juicy inside. The atmosphere was spoilt by a big group next to our table. They were talking at the top of their voice, just like a common coffee shop. The whole place has lost its serenity and all the customers look distressed. The management could have advised the group to tone down. Food wise, there are many outlets in KL selling better food with better service and atmosphere. Or in Gohtong Jaya if you want the cool air

Open area camp style with low tables & chairs under the sun There is also covered dining area at upper floor above casher counter We did not try the food but its simple western style main as well as steamboat (hot pot) We had a great time looking at the dogs that was running about as its a pet friendly place Coffee was good and the service of staff is very prompt and fast ! many foreign service staff. There was a stream, small sand area and organic farm that has papaya, passion fruits, herbs & vegetables Avoid weekends as it can be very difficult to park and crowded

Although this shop's main food is pan mee, the nasi lemak looks good. In the end, I opted for nasi lemak instead of pan mee. It is a very old-time Chinese nasi lemak taste, however, the curry chicken tastes unique, somehow I can't even describe. It is a bit sweet & a little spicy. Just taste delicious. In addition, to my surprise, the pao pao iced coffee is so good. The pao pao is a kick. This pao pao iced coffee only costs you a few ringgit, which you definitely can find in Klang Valley. However, the serving time may take a bit long, so please bear with it if you want some good food.

Best Pan Mee in Malaysia? I have had tons of pan mee in my life and this one ranks as one of the best in the country. Super silky soft, excellent flavor, Rm7 for a small bowl plus add ons for dumplings and other extra side dishes for an additional price. The pao pao coffee is rather a let down, nothing too special taste wise. However, Mark my words, once you try their pan mee, the pulled version, you probably will travel all the way to here just for it again. It's a fair price, the aunty charged me 50cents for their homemade garlic chilli which was quite generous and they said was homemade. Goes quite well with the noodles. Will definitely come again!

KopiNKraf is a charming coffee shop located in a lush green setting, offering a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cafe provides a serene ambiance with plenty of outdoor seating surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.
Spend time for lunch here. Atmosphere was very calm, tranquil, serene, peaceful, quiet in a good way, surrounded by nature, such a perfect place to relaxing your mind and body. For the food got room for improvement (quality and presentation). For the coffee, 5star presentation and taste. Good job.
Wak S — Google review
We stopped by KopiNKraf and ordered two sets of Big Breakfasts (RM12.90 each), an Iced Vanilla Latte (RM18), and a Peppermint Tea (RM6). Altogether, the bill came to just over RM52.80 inc tax. The Big Breakfast was simple: scrambled eggs, hotdog, toast, baked beans, cucumber, and some chili sauce. Honestly, the toast was the highlight, it was really good. The eggs were tasty, hotdog and baked beans were what you’d expect, nothing special, but acceptable for the price. Recommended. The Iced Vanilla Latte was disappointing. At RM18, the price felt steep, and the taste didn’t match the price tag, pretty mediocre overall. The Peppermint Tea, on the other hand, was alright. RM6 for a Twinning’s teabag, it hit the spot. The atmosphere is nice if you like being surrounded by trees and fresh air. It has that “hidden café in the woods” vibe, and the breeze was lovely. That said, the forest setting means it’s not the cleanest. Also, space is a bit tight between tables. If it gets crowded, it could feel a little cramped. Luckily, we went on a weekday, and it was quiet and spacious. Bonus: there’s Wi-Fi, which is a plus because there’s zero mobile signal in the area. Would I recommend it? Yes.
Willow — Google review
If you appreciate nature with greenery, part of the forest at the hill side with a slidely chilled atmosphere to relax and have your coffee or a meal, this is the place. The entrance calms you down. The breath of fresh air, sound of the forest, outdoor seating with birds eye view and serenity. Prices are cafe standard.
Derrick L — Google review
Not bad, very calming and good selection of Michael Buble music. Coffee is decent, and not overpriced for a place like this (RM15). Surprisingly not a lot of mosquito, cooling and cozy.

The hot cappucino was excellent! Nice ambient but a bit noisy due to close to the road. Maybe its the weekend, so there are so many big bike going around. But we are sure will be coming back🫶🏻

The food was nothing special, and the drinks were too sweet. The plus point is the location and its proximity to the forest. In the evening, it is very cool and shaded by the trees. The cafe has very chill treehouse vibes. The songs played added to the relaxing atmosphere. There’s also a small surau and toilet provided for the guests.

Overall ok. Can feel relax with bamboo and bird singing. Just parking a bit messy especially big motor who use car parking. Food ***** (taste medium and humble) Drink **** (for me coffee is way too bitter, it roast way too dark) Location ***** (cold place at least escape from the city) Price **** (acceptable) Cuisine type its mix western and local We order nasi lemak and mushroom soup (they have breakfast and lunch menu ready by 12pm) Some alternate place to get away from KL just tongrab refreshment☺️
