Stopped here on our way to our rental house and was pleasantly surprised. Service was good and the food was excellent. I got the Greek omelette with French fries and my group got pancakes. If you’re getting the pancakes either have someone to share it with or maybe ask for one? They’re as big as the plate and though it was a cool concept to have huge pancakes, most of the people at my table couldn’t finish most of it and needed up wasting food. They were excellent pancakes though. My omelette was super good too and the French fries were nice and crispy. The prices were pretty decent too! I would definitely come back here again!

Really good breakfast. Big place but always pretty busy, so you may need some patience. The waiting is worth it, though. Pancakes are enormous. A normal stack of 3 would have violated my rule of never eating anything bigger than my head, so I only had 1 (with blueberries). Really delicious biscuits and gravy. The gravy has a really good sausage flavor, as it should. Service was good and our coffee cups never made it to empty.

After 2 years of waiting, I finally got into this spot and it was 100% worth it. This is the breakfast sandwich you want on a sunny August morning in OBX. Perfectly toasted bread, packed with sausage, and eggs cooked exactly how you like them. The prices are quite fair for the size of the portions, especially considering it’s in a tourist area. This platter was $12 and very filling. Our server was amazing, handling 6 of us with great communication. I had a small issue with my eggs, and she remade them without hesitation. Back in 2023, we skipped because the waitlist was too long. Now I get why. If you’re in the Outer Banks, don’t leave without eating here. We ate it as our final meal before heading to the road trip back, and I advise you to try the same!

It was great food! Great service! Two people at our table did the food challenge though and passed and still had to pay $40 for the challenge. That wouldn’t be a problem but we specifically asked if it would be $10 (there were 2 people doing it) and she said yes. At the end, when i asked to confirm, she said no it wasn’t free and charged $40. We had no problem paying, but i believe she should’ve corrected us when we asked if it was $10, and there should be something that says it is NOT free if finished. I’ve never seen a food challenge that isn’t free when it’s passed/ completed. Again, service was good and so was the food but i don’t appreciate the lack of information.

Review for Bob’s Grill Eat and Get the Hell Out My family and I have enjoyed Bob’s Grill many times in the past, especially while on vacation, and we’ve always appreciated the food and the overall atmosphere. However, after our recent visit, we are left with mixed feelings, primarily due to an unfortunate interaction with an employee. While we were waiting for our food, my wife was holding our 6-month-old son, leaving his high chair available for our diaper bag and protective liner. At this moment, a waitress named Jennifer—who had red hair—approached our table and proceeded to take the high chair with our belongings on it. When we attempted to stop her, she casually remarked, “Y’all don’t need this,” and took it anyway. I had to reach across my wife and child to grab our items back. It’s important to note that there were plenty of available high chairs in the restaurant, and we were not blocking or impeding any other guests. The people seated next to us were also taken aback by the interaction. While we were satisfied with the food and the service from our primary waitress, this incident left a sour taste. As a family, we will be reconsidering future visits to Bob’s Grill. We hope management will address this situation, as no guest should feel disrespected or inconvenienced in this manner, especially when dining with young children. We wish Bob’s Grill the best and hope that this feedback leads to better customer service in the future.

We went to Bobs for breakfast. There motto is eat and get the hell out. We got good food and good service. This wasn't the first choice but I'm glad we came by here. I would give them 7 out of 10

I ordered the biscuits and gravy, with 2 sides of toast…for carry out. Online menu shows biscuits with gravy are $9+, but there is a 2nd option for them that’s only like, $7+. I ordered the $9+ option…because it’s my favorite breakfast! Unfortunately, this wasn’t at all what I was expecting. There was only 1 biscuit!!! And that 1 was in SEVERAL pieces…so idk if it was even a whole biscuit! Smdh. I had to wait 10mins for my food…even though I arrived within the time it told me my food would be ready. Specifically, it said a 20-35min wait when I placed the order & I waited that before heading to the restaurant. I get it…it was PACKED! The “toast” was just bread….not toasted at all. The butter didn’t even melt when I drove the 1 block back to the Inn I’m staying at (less than 2mins drive). Lastly, they don’t do Hard Boiled eggs! They offer every other kind..but when I called, they said they do not offer them. Odd…for a breakfast restaurant. While the staff were kind during the LIMITED interactions I had with them, their service and food left a LOT to be desired. Worst part was, the gravy wasn’t even very good. Tasted almost like it was made from a pouch…left my mouth dry. I will not be recommending Bob’s to anyone…even if I was happy to see it was woman owned. DO BETTER! Paid $17 for a breakfast that was SOOOOO not worth $10, let alone $17+!

The food was amazing and our waiter, Matt, was truly the best. It was my birthday so we splurged and got the Tomahawk steak and a surf n turf entree. Both steaks had a delicious seasoning, were cooked appropriately, and tasted great. Matt had a good sense of humor, was very attentive and just an all around great waiter. Thanks for making our experience memorable. We will definitely be back!

We had a great meal and Olivia did an awesome job! Good size portions, well prepared and reasonably priced for this kind of meal. Highly recommend!!

Really good quality seafood. Highly recommend the scallops (appetizer or meal). Crab dip was mid a little too cheesy, but that’s a preference. Server was nice and everything was presentable and tasty

For the price, this place really missed the mark. We ordered the seafood platter for $39 expecting a decent variety and portion size, but it turned out to be very small. Overall, the portions just didn’t match the cost. I will say the waiter was kind and brought out complimentary bottles of tartar and cocktail sauce, which I appreciated. But the water was straight tap, not filtered, and with tip we ended up spending over $50 (food + tip) for what felt like a very light meal. The place was quite dark, too (as not enough lighting). It was a disappointing experience, and we won’t be coming back.

TL:DR Would give more stars if I could. Will definitely be back. Here on vacation, and know that the meals I find can be hit or miss, since, as someone passing through, I'm not going to have a chance to find all the fantastic little hole in the wall places that the locals know.. that's ok. This isn't a hole in the wall, but it's still fantastic. He got the NY strip (med rare) with mashed potatoes. He said "no complaints", which is descriptive, from him. I got the surf and turf with broiled flounder. I ordered my steak Bleu rare, which isn't common, I know... And they actually did it right. It had that perfect pitsburg char on the outside, buttery tender inside that I love so much. I asked for Lea & Perrins out of habit, but when I tasted the steak, I found it so perfectly seasoned that I never opened the bottle. I saved the hush puppies for dessert, because they are like a beignets' slight less sweet cousin. The tea was actually sweet enough, and the soft drinks are Pepsi products on tap. Huzzah.

Definitely my favorite meal of the week so far!! The surf and turf was really good!! The hush puppies were great too, with the powdered sugar on top they were like a dessert.

We found this place for the first time on our anniversary trip and ate here twice in 3 days. The food was fantastic. Best sushi we ever had and the cook on our steak was perfection. The servers were so friendly and attentive.

The staff was extremely welcoming. The assistant manager, her name escapes me, was extremely fun & full of life. I had my Lil furbaby and they gave her a pup cup (whip cream) which is here favorite. Their is quite the selection of donuts. I didn't really care for them that's why I'm giving it a 4☆. I felt the toppings was overwhelming to the donut itself. I know others who love Duck Donuts. With that said you should still try it. Retail merchandise prices was affordable. I recommend if you're in the area and going to his location because the staff are amazing. It was extremely clean & open space that was easily maneuverable for those who may rely on assistive devices to get around. I imagine if it hot crowded the open space is helpful too. They also are open at times other locations aren't.

First time visiting Duck Donuts and they did not disappoint! Great selection of options and I love that they have sets by the dozen that are already grouped that you can try. They have pictures of the options as well. We tried the peach perfect dozen and they were quite tasty. Highly recommend a visit!

Pure sugary goodness in your gullet! Nothing healthy, vegan, or gluten-free in this good 'ol American doughnut shop. The donuts are handcrafted to order and melt in your mouth with every savory bite. Park a little further away to get some extra steps for those extra 1,000 calories you're gonna put into your body. It's definitely worth it! Enjoy!!

Being a tourist in US I have sampled quite a few donuts but these are just another level! Donuts are made in front of you so you get them warm and delicious. Must try.

This was our first time trying Duck donuts and they were five stars for us. We got two of the peach variety donuts, the glazed Oreo, and the s'mores donuts. Delicious!!!

Always a great place to try when at the beach. Enjoy their variety of donuts. And made fresh, always hot. Only complaint is assistant manager wouldn't honor their online deal of $5 duck deal of 2 donuts with a coffee OR refresher. She said her computer wouldn't recognize that a refresher was included even though it stated it clearly on the website and charged us 2.50 more

This is by far the best Duck Donuts in the area! We went in with a pretty large order, to feed two families, and they were super patient with us and very helpful with helping us decide on what to get! I did not catch the name of the super cool lady making the drinks and taking the orders, but I had asked her about a drink I thought they had, they didn’t have it, so she offered to create something for me and it was absolutely amazing! Having that experience with her made my day. 10/10 would recommend anyone to come here, not just for the donuts but to be around some really cool, amazing and friendly staff that make it that much better!!

The food was very good here. The bread and secret oil dip were delicious. Some of our food came out cold. However the service was not very good. Took us awhile to get silverware. Not all of our dishes came out at the same time. Our waiter didn’t know how much the Sunday Bloody Mary and Mimosas were. Please publish drink prices. We loved the atmosphere and decorations. Each room was decorated differently. There was also a good little gift shop. One of the employees walking around eating an apple during our visit.

This OBX relic has been rehabbed! We were surprised and happy to see a renovated and updated Jolly Roger! Same great food and service. Same fun, cozy eating nooks. Improved bar and added music band karaoke dance space with a 2nd level open air game room AND outdoor deck with lots of seating! If I didn't go to bed at 8 pm 🤣, I'd definitely come hang out here at night!

We came here for dinner and did not have to wait for a table which was nice. We ordered the cheese bread appetizer which came out to be 4 tiny pieces of bread that the cheese was partially melted. It was good but the portion came no where the price. We ordered lasagna and chicken picatta. The lasagna was good but the chicken dish lacked flavor. The atmosphere was very neat and impressive. Overall it was a pretty good restaurant.

Excellent breakfast! Loved the decor! We went in October and they had the restaurant decorated for Halloween! It was great! The food is amazing! We went to Rohoboth Beach and Ocean City not long after and none of the breakfasts compared to Jolly Roger’s! I would highly recommend coming to Jolky Roger’s for breakfast!

Loved, loved, loved this place!!! Ordered an appetizer....fried mushrooms....best I've had Had fish and chips for main course. Their coleslaw was perfect You won't be disappointed

The first thing you notice is the overstimulating decor. But eventually you acclimate to the noise and hustle. The food was good. Not amazing but like mom used to make. There are plenty of pasta dishes to choose from. Plenty of parking but this place is also packed most times. There was karaoke going on in the front bar and it was hopping.

The service was nice, food was okay and the environment was really cute. I got the fried calamari, fries and a frozen margarita and I’d honestly go back just for the margarita. 😋 🤤 🍸🍹🥃🤍

Cute sayings around window and door frames, easy ordering, delicious freshly made food, and the best customer service I've ever had. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The best Greek omelet I've ever had hands down I love you don't fluff it with pancake mix it's just eggs.

Know before you go: this restaurant is cafeteria-styled ordering experience. So, you stand in line and order your food at the counter, then they bring out the food to your table. The drinks are refilled by servers, however. As well, any credit card transactions incur a 3% convenience fee. The food was fantastic, and very reasonably priced. My girlfriend and I ordered the (spicy) biscuits and gravy, short stack of pancakes with chocolate and PB chips, with 2 eggs, and bacon, the gyro omelette, and a Belgian waffle. All the food was fantastic! After a 20% tip, the total was $62. Which, considering the generous servings, I thought was beyond a reasonable price. The staff was incredibly courteous and hospitable. The line was out the door, and around the corner for the majority of our experience, but the line moves quite quickly. All and all, we waited about 30min in total, 25min to stand in line and 5min to get our food.

Pretty good place for breakfast with reasonably fast service, good food and fair prices. The whole staff were friendly and polite. The food came out fairly fast but wasnt quite hot. This was the only issue I had during my visit. But I'd give it another try.

We visited for the first time and really enjoyed this place. The servers were very friendly and helpful. For those not familiar, you go through a cafeteria-like line to place your order but your food is brought to your table. The waffles we had were very good and the country ham was even better!!

For breakfast or brunch, it's hard to beat this place. Unlike traditional breakfast chains, it has a fast food/cafeteria style setup, where you get your drinks first, then you order your dishes at the cashier, and then sit at the table where a server will bring out your order. The portions were enormous, and the pricing is more than competitive when compared to other chain options. The table and seating were fairly average, as to reflect their no frills standard. However, the service provided by the staff was way beyond average. They made sure all your needs were met, and willing to make things right if any issues came up with your orders. Don't miss this place for breakfast or brunch when in the Outer Banks area!

Different experience than a typical sit down restaurant but the line to wait wasn’t too long when we got there and the service was super friendly and helpful. I got the granola bowl and a Belgian waffle and both were delicious! So much great fresh fruit and homemade granola - definitely recommend.

We missed breakfast (done by 11am) and came back for lunch/snack. The burgers were marked as "what we're known for" so we had to try one. My daughter & I shared the mushroom Swiss burger. It was tasty on rye, but not spectacular.... Just okay. The fries were good! Loved the decor and breeze. We got to enjoy those for a while because it took a bit for the burger to arrive.

This place was recommended by a local that we met and we were NOT disappointed! The place is on a side street and has a very “local” feel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We went for breakfast and the food was amazing! I would recommend this place for sure!

Their motto of locals welcomed visitors tolerated rang true with our experience this morning! Staff …. Understaffed and apparently we were invisible! Atmosphere… we sat outside, could have been nice but the flies were crazy as we sat beside a trash can. Food…. Was honestly great! My sandwich was incorrect, but I still ate it and it still tasted great. My husband was very satisfied with his food! He ordered the omelette and I ordered the breakfast sandwich! May attempt to try it again at some point!

Exactly what we think of when we think of an OBX joint. This was our first time here and we'll be back! The burger was great and the Ruben I had was one of the best I've had anywhere. Atmosphere is classic Kitty Hawk local vibe and our servers were awesome. 10/10! We are so glad to have found this place. $51 before tip with a Passionfruit Margherita (also highly recomend- not too sweet!) and appetiser. We cant recommend this place enough.

We stopped here to enjoy a weekend brunch. That was a great decision! Although we had to wait a bit to get a table, the staff was efficient as the indoor dining area is fairly limited on space and tables. They offer a good selection of classic breakfast/brunch entrees. The pricing is very competitive, and the portions was large. We like to point out that their Biscuit and Gravy is excellent! Service was fast and efficient. Next time, we will try out their burgers instead.

Local establishment with great staff & food!! Did not think a ham/cheese omelet & grits could taste so good without adding anything additional once served. Ready to come back for the Burger!!! So thankful for this recommendation from a local friend

A no frills beach road burger joint. Their burger and fries are great! Fresh, 1/2 pound patties - seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and pepper once they are put on the flat top. Hand cut fries… yummmmm

This place was a little above average to me. My pork chops were really thin. Tasted good but threw me for a second. My wife's catfish had a bit of a fishy taste to her. Just a personal preference with her. She eats a lot of catfish so it's hard to get it right for her. Lol Mozzarella sticks were good. Salad was fine.

We passed by Henry's Restaurant last night on our way to our resort and saw that the parking lot was full of cars. This is usually a good sign. We decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. The service and food were excellent! The place was packed with satisfied patrons. Give this place a try!

I've lived on the OBX my whole life. Henry's has been a constant and reliable breakfast spot. They always have great food and good service. They just recently got Gluten Free bread which is nice. I got an Omelet which was delicious and my son got the French Toast. The portion sizes are big and very fulfilling. Inside the restaurant there is plenty of seating and a cute little gift shop which is where you pay. If you ever come down to the OBX be sure to check them out.

First visit and we will be back. Vivian was our personable and very attentive server. Excellent seafood menu with multiple fried and broiled options. Great desserts, many made in-house. Ample parking, separate carry-out entrance. Gift shop at the exit with typical shirts and souvenirs, but also many very nice craft and specialty items. Broiled Local's Platter had shrimp, scallops, crab cake and choice of flounder or trout. The hush puppies were amazing and a must for every order.

We visited Henry's for the first time today and it did not disappoint! The avocado toast was enjoyable as was the Noreaster (biscuit with home fries, cheese, bacon, two eggs covered with sausage gravy). Substantial portions at reasonable prices! Our service was great. We will go back!

Had Henry’s this morning while visiting Kitty Hawk. I tried the Nor’easter which I would describe as biscuits and gravy wearing a party outfit. I thought it was a perfect blend of flavors and while it easily could have been over-salted it wasn’t. I expect this meal will keep me full for most of the day! My fiancé enjoyed the Mexican Omelette. While I was only in for pickup the lady working the counter was so sweet and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. Thanks Henry’s!

Great breakfast, brunch, and lunch place. Had a party of 7 and wait wasn't bad. Had the crab Benedict and it was really good! Sorry ate half of it before taking a picture!

Food was good and service was quick. The restaurant tends to get a little loud during busy times. Good portions for the price. Definitely a good spot for breakfast in the Outer Banks!

The restaurant at 0608 had customers and they were already eating. The service here is FAST. They are literally making your food as you order it almost. I ate at the bar which was very clean; you can see the food being prepared from nearly half of the restaurant which makes me believe they take pride in it. Everything was cooked to order and done just right. This was my first time here but as I come to the area several times a year, I will make this one of my stops each time. Well done!

Finally got to Grits Grill for a late breakfast (10am on a Thursday in July). No waiting for a seat at the bar and ordered an omelette w/ corned beef hash side. Very impressed watching the cooks make all the orders, and mine took almost no time. Very good portions, great taste! Very attentive service. Remember, if you go during peak times, you'll have to wait...but going as a solo diner is a breeze!

The overall experience was great. We all loved the food and we all had a great time. The only strange thing was that I found a straw wrapper in the bottom of my coffee cup! Other than that, it was fantastic. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was good.

Found it by "accident" while looking for seafood place for dinner... Not exactly a high end restaurant but, excellent service, friendly staff and FAST food delivery to table... HOT FOOD FAST, that's a REAL fast food😁👍🥳 Dinner was Ruben sandwiches for both of us...delish🤤 Went back next day for breakfast... Chipped beef with biscuit for her, country ham, eggs, biscuit and grits for me. ONLY few "complaints"...my ham was over cooked and dry, biscuit was also dry...good grits😁

Came in with my daughter for a late breakfast today Tues..I love the off-season chill and low-key crowd this is my favorite time of the year to come in and eat while the kids are in school, and I can sneak some me time in..(especially since summer time is usually a lot more hectic").., our server was Michael and he was great" service was awesome, friendly and helpful... Love the laid-back atmosphere.. food came out hot and fast .. 3 egg omelette with Swiss and bacon and hashbrowns, also eaten was a delicious BLT on white but didn't really dig the French fries.. go for the hash browns instead their yummy 😋.. definitely a good local breakfast joint to eat, chill and socialize.

Ordered the blackened fish tacos and they were so good! My husband ordered the fried crab cakes and they were really tasty, especially with the freshness of their coleslaw. The rice was ok, but sorta lacked in flavor. The service here was great, even though it was busy. I don’t remember who was at the bar, but they kept our drinks filled and made sure we were good. This place is small! There isn’t much room for large parties.

Great food and friendly service tucked i to a little place. Just grabbed lunch here with family and the food selection, quality, and taste were incredible. Two in our party are vegetarian/pescatarian and the selection was great for them. I ordered the bbq chicken quesadilla and it was delicious. The beans and rice were amazing-not just a boring side. We are in OBX for just a few days and we will probably be back!

We googled best places to dine and found this AMAZING little cozy spot! Not gonna lie, was hesitant pulling up as there weren’t many cars in the parking lot. But decided to go in and try it based on the reviews. Sooo happy we did!! We ordered the Blackened Mahi-Mahi Bowl! It was just what we didn’t know we needed! 🤩 We topped it with their homemade habanero hot sauce and it was PERFECTION! The atmosphere was just a tiny hole in wall feel and we could see why people kept coming in! The food!!

Stopped by here at the recommendation of my brother and his family and it did not disappoint! Three of us ordered and split the nachos without a protein for an appetizer. They were incredible! Loved the cheese sauce and especially the corn mixed in with the salsa. I ordered the blackened shrimp quesadilla which was excellent. Full of flavor that was very balanced. If you’re up for a hot sauce, absolutely try their habanero peppa sauce. It’s the best hot sauce I’ve ever had. I bought a couple bottles while I was there. It’s a little off the beaten path and in a strip shopping center and well worth it!!

I can’t believe they did this… after ordering my drink, I waited approximately 10 minutes for my meal. At first when stepping into the place, I was captivated by the decore. This place is absolutely awesome. Haha my Avacado Bacon Cheeseburger was gone by the second it got to the table. Each bite was extremely satisfying! I highly recommend everyone try this place to everyone and anyone looking for a place to eat out. Good job Food dudes!

We stopped in here late on our first day in Kill Devil Hills. My wife really enjoyed her mahi sandwich and I had a steak and cheese which was good as well. Both sandwiches were served with tortilla chips and Pico de Gallo (fries are an extra charge). The interior is cozy and has a bar. Service was adequate. I'd go back.

Had the Southwestern Steak Wrap and my husband had the bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries. The food was really good, generous portions, and great taste. Would eat here again. If you’re looking for a local place with good beach bar style food, this is it.

This place is not for me. A lot of people seem to like it in here, but I really did not, from the ordering to the food. Seems like a good staff and all that, it just wasn't a fit. I got the breakfast bowl with hash browns, and their version of hash browns is what I call scalloped potatoes, and the mix of flavors of eggs and brown gravy and all was not something I cared for. My kid's scrambled eggs, and mine I think, were not cooked all the way, and it just grosses us out. My biscuit was standard but a bit dry, for me anyway. Otherwise my kid liked the pancake enough and my wife seemed to like the French toast, so it probably mostly depends on what you choose to order. I also just don't care for ordering at the counter, it feels rushed to me. So, yeah, fine, just not somewhere I'd go back myself. And then they have at least 5 air conditioner units outside including one you run into when you leave the exit door, just a little odd to me.

This place should not be named after pancakes by any means. If you enjoy cardboard that taste like baking soda, you’ll love them. I also had my food delivered with a lovely beard hair in the eggs. They did refund me for my one meal but not the extra hash browns I ordered which didn’t feel like great customer service after I lost my appetite. I wouldn’t recommend coming here, the price didn’t match the quality either.

This was our first time trying this Stack 'em High. There are 2 in Outer Banks and they are not related. This one is more centrally located. They serve at your table, but the prices are not as good and neither is the food. It will do, but not a huge fan.

We are from East Texas, and love to scope out mom & pop diners. This diners was super fun, and the pancakes were spectacular. I had blueberry banana pancakes (plus eggs and bacon) and they were delicious 😋! For being in a resort town, the price was reasonable...what I would have paid for food near our home. The staff was swift, courteous, adorable, and did a wonderful job! I loved the way everyone in the restaurant interacted with each other! Friendly and homey! The restaurant was clean.

A town staple! Must visit when in OBX! Entire experience was a delight. From the food to customer service! Will definitely return and highly recommend.

The food was phenomenal and came out very fast. I love the diner/cafe style of this place! However the food was nothing compared to how nice everyone is. I had the pleasure of talking to the owners and you would have thought that we'd known each other for years. 10/10 I will be coming back to kitty hawk just to eat at Stack'em High!!

I ordered eggs well done but they came runny. The hash browns looked amazing but had very little seasoning. The chicken sausage felt slimy on the edges. The toast was good. The honey packets were sticky to the touch and solid. Prices were decent and staff was friendly.

I had breakfast and dinner here during my stay at the Sea Ranch Resort. The Mahi tacos and Buffalo shrimp were great with plenty of spicy flavor. The breakfast omelets were served with fried potatoes. The indoor dining area is a bit small and can get crowded during peak times. They also have a nice outdoor patio if you don't mind the ocean breeze.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast with no expectations. We were greeted and seated rather quickly. Our waitress was very attentive, not only to us but was quick to check with another guest about their food allergies. Our meals were on point with flavor. I feel the portion was a bit small for the cost but overall we were happy with our decision to dine here and would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful experience at Beachside Bistro, sitting outside under a covered table with the gentle breeze and warm sun shining. Our drinks came out quickly; definitely try the OBX Bloody Mary! The breakfast burrito and bacon-egg-cheese croissant were both super deeeelish, too! Our server was friendly, responsive, and polite. Seating was quick and easy, as well.

Stopped in for a drink in the afternoon. We sat outside since it was beautiful out. Service was quick and the drinks were delicious. *You can’t see the beach from the patio because of the dunes/grass, but it’s still a cute little spot with a walkway straight to the beach!

Best crab cake sandwich I've tasted in years!! Plenty meaty and perfect ratio with the bun and sauce. My husband and I shared that, and the Mahi tacos. Yum!! The bloody Mary's were tasty, bartender great to talk with and the music chill. Check this place out!!

Food was very good!!! Clean. Hidden gem. I had the Caribbean fish tacos and hubby had poboy fish sandwich. It was very good.

I recently stopped in for lunch after traveling all day since it was close to where I was staying. I'm glad I did. Since I was by myself I sat at the bar and ordered my meal. The bartender was great along with the service. I had the crab cake sandwich, a salad and fries. It was all good. The salad was extremely fresh and the crab cake sandwich was well prepared. The fries were some of the best I've had. Will definitely eat there again.

all was great in the beginning..we got our drinks ( drinks were suppose to be a double shot but barely tasted any alcohol) .the place was pretty empty at first placed our order and then it took over an hour to get it... if it wasn't for the beautiful sunny day and cool breeze we would have left.. The food was good .. but the service slacked

Ran in to grab breakfast. You simply can not beat the views at this place. Great spot tonwatch the lical surfers. Prices are very reasonable. The food was good, like home cooking.

Before I begin, I will say the waitstaff worked hard to overcome horrible management. Our server, Cara, was so kind and efficient as possible given the huge obstacles put in her way. The management of the Pier House Restaurant is nothing more than amateur. We were seated 30 minutes after we arrived (only by our effort, not theirs), had our orders taken 45 MINUTES LATER, as other guests ordered, ate and left, and our food was delivered 45 MINUTES AFTER THAT, barely warm, with the place half empty by that time. The self-identified "Breakfast Manager" glided unconcerned through the dining room like a benevolent grandmother with all the time in the world. When we brought our long delay to her attention, she neither apologized nor sped things up, but rather offered excuses and defensiveness--clearly it's the customer's responsibility to understand the kitchen, not the other way around. To say it was a disappointment doesn't do justice to enduring a two-hour wait for breakfast. (Full disclosure: the house did discount our bill.)

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I had an outstandingly poor experience here. First off, we waited 15-20 min for someone to even come to our table. I understand accidents happen, so I wasn’t too upset. After we ordered, we waited another 20 minutes to find out the fryer was having issues. As someone who previously worked in the restaurant industry, I also understood that this was out of their control. But unfortunately my food was very disappointing and not at all worth the wait. I ordered the clam chowder, and I only took a few bites. The clams were fishy and the bacon was gross. Even the crackers were stale :( I tried my hush puppies, and the insides were very undercooked and doughy. Maybe I just had bad luck, since no one else at my table had undercooked hush puppies, but overall, still very disappointing.

The view is what we came for! Even better. the sun cooperated. Drinks were cold, and the service was friendly. We ordered the Tuna bites, nothing outstanding, they were good, and so was the price ( $8.99, I think)

Beautiful view but not impressed with the restaraunt. We were seated very quickly but once we finally got a waitress, she was useless. We received a 6 page menu only to be told they weren’t serving any food off that menu and were instead given one sheet of paper with ~12 food options. The oysters were terrible and the salad was a joke. The chicken finger platter and the hushpuppies were good, but I certainly wouldn’t waste my money here again.

OBX beach rocks...” we thought we were going to the fishing pier but there was a restaurant on it and we liked its ambiance as it has an oceanfront bar. We decided to have some drinks. We were sitting outside though it is open from all 2 sides. Colorful chairs- down the platform waves bumping to wood logs. View of the fishing pier and sunset time... quite an amazing view. Such a relax moment. We ordered common drinks like blue moon and mojito. There was one cocktail, hurricane, mix with dark rum and vodka. Great drink. There was a live band from 7. Live music-lovely place and amazing view. A good time it is...!! And how can I forget Emily? Emily served us. she is a sweet girl with all smile on her face. Seems she was covering half of the table out there. Way to go..!!

Came on a Saturday evening, no wait, had the outdoor seating area to ourselves! The food, drinks and service were amazing. The watermelon margarita 🤝 any fish entree since we tried most of them. So good, highly recommend and will be back!

We went for Sunday brunch based on a couple of suggestions and are happy we did! The house made bananas foster syrup - holy smokes - 10/10. She crab soup was really good. The tuna tartare tacos were good - the tuna had a lot of marinade on them - which made them a little wet, but also gave great flavor. The grits were good too!

Had not stopped by in years. Very glad we did for an early dinner after shopping. Jackie was an informative and personable server and very attentive. The appetizer section was extensive and the seafood entree items were numerous. The crab dip was so flavorful. The seafood pasta had large scallops and perfectly steamed vegetables. The seafood enchilada was enormous. Will definitely be back!

Great food! The best hush puppies we have ever had and our entrees were great too! Definitely will be coming again on our next vacation to OBX!

My family and friends love Chilli Peppers and have been going here for years. Small and cozy atmosphere with fantastic food! They have some unique food options like Chimichurri Oysters and daily specials that you won't find anywhere else on the beach! Great a little bar that's a local favorite and a small outdoor area.

I really enjoyed coming here. They are super dog friendly and the atmosphere is just divine! We had the chimichurri oysters which were really really good along with the crab cake sandwich in the Baja Fish Tacos. We will for sure be back to try Sunday brunch!

Ordered a shrimp po boy, it was so po it was just shrimp and bread.. Not sure what people eat here to give it such good ratings. I did not order it apparently. Service was great and we were well taken care of but food was not worth it.

Came here twice during our vacation to the outer banks. Smoothies are plenty big and can be split into two cups ($1 upcharge) and was a hit with my kids. The hot Eddie breakfast bagel was so good with just a hint of spicy. The hubs enjoyed a classic with the walkover bagel. I also enjoyed a couple different iced lattes(Hawaiian mocha and coffee cake), but did ask for it to be slightly less sweet. It's a really cute coffee shop with plenty of space to sit. Would definitely revisit!

Modern deli, coffee shop, brew pub with incredible food and drink and great selection. Can get super busy on turn days and prices are super high but probably tracks with what most people are used to if coming in on vacation from major metro areas. Friendly staff and kid friendly.

Super cute place to stop for lunch or breakfast. Food and coffees were amazing. It was packed for breakfast but line moved quickly and food and drink came out quickly based on how many people were there. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. On a less busy day it would be a nice place to get coffee and work in one of the lounge tables.

Good stuff all the way around. Counter service and then you pick up your food in a cubby when it's ready. Plenty of seating in various types of chairs and set ups. Plenty of things to buy while you are waiting for your order. Nice selection of craft beers to take to go.

I don’t leave reviews often, but I was in Nags Head for an afternoon and wanted to try a local place. Let me tell you, absolutely banging sandwich and coffee! Staff were so lovely and love the vibes in the place. Definitely will be back!

This place is a powerhouse. Truly, how can you beat a place that makes some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had (Hot Eddie: 10/10), serves 12 beers on draft starting at 7AM, and offers 32oz nitro cold brews. As well, the local crafts and beer/wine to go offers a variety of ways to indulge yourself.

I have never been more confused on what to order. All drinks/menu items looked fantastic. I ended up with my usual, a Cortado, and I got an iced Sandbar (English toffee - had to get that). The drinks were delicious. I do recommend getting the chocolate cwaaassaaaannn as well. This place has an insane amount of cups/mugs and they're all great. The cafe is a little cramped and I did spot a few squatters but we just ate our croissant and headed out, but if I were to sit and chill, I'd definitely would've hurt someones feelings. Overall, a great place which delicious drinks and bakery items.

I can’t say enough how incredible their coffee is! The iced latte was great, but the cold brew is what really blew us away. It’s a must try! Staff were incredibly friendly and very welcoming to pups who accompanied their families inside.

Decided to try out another local coffee shop while in the OBX so we stopped at Morning View Coffee House. It wasn't too busy at 10am on a weekday. We ordered the Seafoam Latte, Iced Crème Brulee and a Bacon Egg & Cheese Bagel. The bagel tasted great but the coffee was not as good. The Seafoam Latte was way too sweet and the Iced Creme Brulee just seemed off. We will hopefully give it another try and see if we can find something different to drink next time.

the chai was… so sweet. like unbelievably sweet. i took it home and brewed a cup of chai to cut it with. but there was twilight themed tip jars in the year 2025 and a dog so honestly give me too sweet of a drink, i can cope upon receiving a response i would have considered raising it a star- though i’ve never had to specify to make a chai less sweet when getting a flavor at any coffee shop i’ve been to in my life- but my name is literally right there and they still managed to spell it wrong so my stats are staying the same

Coffee was super disappointing. All you could taste was the syrup. Way too sweet. Went up to ask if they could pull me another shot because it was too sweet and I was asked if I asked for half sweet. I explained I had never been there so no I wasn’t aware of that because normal coffee places their regular sweet coffee actually tastes like coffee. She was really rude and told me she’d have to charge me for another full coffee. Would not recommend. Service was trash and the coffee isn’t even worth it.

4 stars The coffee was decent, I ordered decaf espresso as I’m not able to have caffeine so it’s my fault but it was not flavorful at all unfortunately. Besides that the services was amazing and the employees were so kind and chatted while my large family went through and ordered! We had 8 drinks and they were done in about 5 minutes!! We will definitely be back to try some more drinks and pastries!

I’ve been having the worst luck trying to find a good matcha latte in OBX… but after seeing all the positive reviews for Front Porch Café, we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did! The ambiance and vibe here are lovely. The shop is super cute with plenty of tables and space to sit, relax, or get some work done. The staff was SO friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Now, the matcha… it did not disappoint! Perfect balance, great flavor, and the right color (unlike another spot in OBX that basically handed me green milk the other day 🙃). The everything bagel I had was tasty, and my husband said their banana nut muffin was a fantastic twist on a classic. He also really enjoyed the nitro cold brew – solid and smooth. Definitely recommend checking them out at this location and supporting them – such a great find!

My favorite coffee on the OBX! I’ve been getting the West 3rd Latte for over 15+ years and it ALWAYS tastes the same no matter when I go! It’s is so amazing to support local coffee shops and NOT the chains that make horrible drinks everytime!

Picked up a hot matcha to go. Based on other reviews, added a pump of vanilla since it comes unsweetened. Simple but hit the spot. I also appreciate their insulated cups. No need for cardboard koozies that slip off!

Ordered off of doordash for breakfast delivery to our hotel room, and it was delicious. I really enjoyed my latte. They made it exactly how I asked them, and it tasted incredible. Everyone was happy with their food. Their blueberry scone paired great with my lavender cbd latte. Loved all the options when making it not always available at other places. Highly recommend.

First time stopping by and had a really great experience. I try not to make too many changes to a menu item, but he was happy to accommodate the coconut milk and switching chocolate whipped cream to vanilla. They were busy, but I still got my drink in under five minutes. Lots of seating inside and out and very conveniently located off the main road.

We stopped here for the first time while on our yearly anniversary getaway. It is very nice! I loved the atmosphere. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We sat out front in the chairs and enjoyed our banana walnut muffin and coffee for breakfast. Can’t wait to visit again next year.

Loved this place! This was recommended by a waitress at a restaurant we stopped at when we first got to the outer banks. We went to 2 locations and they were both equal as far as service, coffee, and apple turnovers! Very nice people, pleasant and they make your drinks the way you want them. UPDATE: this is a updated review and a year later....changing my review to food...didn't get any....service....to a 4...not as friendly atmosphere...5...the same....PRICES ....outrageous!!! The same drink I bought a year ago was $3 more this year! That is crazy! I went to the one in Kill Devil Hills and it was $7 .63 and the same drink and size was $9.14 ! WHY? NEVER again!! No prices listed...they shock you with the price after you order! Sorry...not coming back! I know prices have gone up everywhere, but I'm not going to be taken advantage of! Shame on them!

Stopped in looking for a nice local coffee shop. The atmosphere is great and the lady taking our order was very friendly. Most importantly the fresh locally roasted coffee was terrific and my wife’s latte was on point.

Stopped by not once but twice on our OBX vacation. First stop we got the cheddar topped bacon, egg & cheese biscuit sandwiches and they were delicious. The biscuits melt in your mouth. Second stop had us getting the sausage gravy and biscuits. The gravy wasn't yet ready, but the staff was super friendly and gave us the wait time. They also kindly packaged everything separately so it didn't get soggy on the walk back to our rental. It's a dumpy gas station with awesome food and great staff. Even with a line at the counter they move you through fast!

The name got us. There were biscuits and a rack of porn magazines. Don’t go in expecting anything more graphic than the name and shrink wrapped adult magazines. People are friendly, the store is clean, and well stocked in terms of merch. The biscuits were ok. I got the plain, the husband got the cheese biscuit. Both were dry. With the amount of great local places to eat, this place is a one and done for us in terms of food. Would come back for gas and snacks but not the biscuit or porn.

When visiting nags head you must stop in. This is our go to spot every vacation. They have the best cheddar biscuits for breakfast and Ive got a spicy chicken sandwich for lunch. All the people are nice, they have cool Merchandise. This is a MUST visiting spot.

Absolutely one of my favorite memories of my trip here to OBX the staff here are so nice and warm and inviting and friendly and the biscuits did not disappoint, stopped here because a friend said I absolutely had to try them. I flew in from Houston to come to this place I’ve been wanting to go for years and now that I got adult money the dream has becoming a reality. I also want to get the pop table lottery tickets and they have them in this state. The biscuits were 100/100 and the nudy mags were kool.

Is it a gas station that sells amazing food or an amazing take out restaurant that sells gas? You tell me . It don’t really matter. Just go there. It’s my favorite place for biscuit sandwiches on the outer banks. A Chicken, egg, cheese, and DOUBLE BACON on a cheddar biscuit is my standard order. You just can’t go wrong getting food here. The staff keeps the line moving pretty good even when they are at their busiest. *Please have your order figured out before you get up to the counter! There’s guaranteed to be people waiting in line behind you. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 🇺🇸 😆 It’s always what’s for breakfast our first morning out there and it’s our last stop for “road food” before heading out west on 64 going home with several other visits in between. There’s nothing better than seeing the looks I get pushing my buggy around the new Apex Harris Teeter with my BnP travel mug in the cup holder 😉 I’ve had people ask me if that’s a real place. We were in progress of trying to order. I said lets just leave. Go somewhere else where business is appreciated! So here we are Trying out Bonzers who seem to appreciate our business.

This Sonic is a joke. There’s only ever just a few employees working, so the drive thru line is always terribly long. If you pull up to order, they usually ask if you’re here for a pickup and if not it’ll sometimes be a 15-20 minute wait for “fast” food. I’ve called and hit the red button for my pickup order… but haven’t been helped yet, and I’ve been here over 20 minutes. If they didn’t already have the money for the order I definitely would have left. Do better and hire more people or close the doors.

I pulled into a stall and pressed the red call button to place an order. The screen said “One moment,” so we waited… and waited. After 8–10 minutes, the message disappeared completely, and no one ever greeted us. I pressed the button again—still nothing. It wasn’t even that busy, so I’m not sure what the issue was. We eventually just left. Disappointing experience.

We pulled up and pushed to order and were told 15-20 minutes to order. Waited 10 minutes and watched 5-8 cars go through drive through and multiple mobile orders being picked up. Don’t go here!!! Unless you want to wait forever!!! We left and went to another place that we’re happy to see us and service was better and got our food quickly. Great job Snow Bird burger and cones.

If you need food quickly for your family this is not the place to stop! I've been to this location numerous times each time thinking maybe they were short-staffed the last time but no it is still very slow no matter how many people are working. I pull in hit the button and wait for over 10 minutes then the thing on the screen saying we will be with you disappears but the car that pulled in 5 minutes after me hits the button and they get served after 2 minutes. I place an online order I wait until 5 minutes after it says my order will be ready and I hit the button still no response after 7 minutes of waiting I go through the drive-thru to let them know I'm there. I am rudely informed they are short staffed, I get that and I understand but that's not an excuse for not answering a call button and saying we will be with you shortly. My food is handed to me and all I get is attitude from the employee like it's a big deal I ordered one bag of food. The food was good but the service doesn't even deserve the one star.

The service here is absolutely dreadful. I pressed the red button three times before anyone even acknowledged me, and when they finally did, they sounded annoyed that I dared to order. After waiting forever, no one gave me an update — just silence. When my order finally came out, the carhop didn’t greet me, didn’t smile, didn’t even make eye contact — just shoved the bag at me like they were doing me a favor. I’ve had friendlier service at the DMV. If you’re looking for fast, polite, or even halfway decent customer service, look anywhere but here.

Yikes on bikes this was quite the trip. Let’s talk about what I love before we talk about what we strongly disliked. 1. We loved that all the speakers were unable to be used besides #14. God love #14 menu because the other 29 were unable to be operated. #2 thank goodness for the employee being able to check her instagram during our wait time between pressing the red button and being graced with the voice of an employee asking us if we can be helped. Luckily the employee we were blessed with did indeed get through our order and it was received in a solid time. I can’t quite put my finger on anything I disliked but God bless nags head sonic and the customers they receive.

My family is staying in OBX. we went over in this morning for breakfast. We asked if they served French fries for breakfast. They said yes. Then we found out they didn't. They did have potatoes, which were good. We asked for ranch and didn't realize til we got back that they didn't give us the ranch. Have to say the breakfast food was good. The sausage and gravy didn't have much sausage, but it was ok. Went back for lunch. The shrimp was very good. I wasn't a fan of their chicken tenders. It seemed like a shake and bake. The ranch dressing is so so good. We had the same lady wait on us in the morning and afternoon. She was pleasant. But I think her customer shined through in the afternoon when we were trying to figure the price on the bill. She took her time to walk us through it. It ended up being that there were two separate taxes charged. 🙃 We would definitely go back.

We ordered 2 different breakfast burritos. One from the menu and the other build in your own. They were amazing. Had a Southern California taste and were massive. Only downside is eating area. Most get it to go otherwise you eat outsidewith the 🪰

Probably the best takeout for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Traditional and upscaled breakfast items, great lunch and dinner options. It’s our best takeout spot now in the OBX. Check them out. MP 9 across the street from the Outer Banks Beach Club. You won’t regret it. Breakfast burritos are the bomb! Best homemade sausage gravy I’ve ever had. Stuffed chicken bacon avocado wraps, and empanadas. #gogetyousome

Stopped at Ten O Six while visiting the beach and it was a great choice! The owner and his wife were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The food was consistent, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Being so close to the beach, it’s the perfect spot to grab lunch. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

I read a review on here about how big and delicious the burritos were, and I can confirm this! They were big and pack full of flavor! It only to 10 minutes to get our food. The gentleman was very polite and professional. They had a good selection of coffee and energy drinks. Definitely will be back again!

Ten O six catered part of our wedding rehearsal dinner and it was a great success. They delivered and set up the food. Everyone raved about the pasta and chicken. It was gone before the seafood. One of our cousins loved the pasta so much they stopped by two days later to try to order it again! Would highly recommend Ten O six catering for your next event! Thank you Robin and the entire staff for making our rehearsal dinner memorable!

This was my first time going. They offer vanilla cake donuts and you choose the icing and toppings and make it for you. The choices can be overwhelming but they are patient while you decide. Two coffees and 4 donuts were $16. I didn't think that was bad. If in the area, stop by for fresh donuts. 🍩☕

My daughter and I are here in OBX on vacation and we heard about how good Duck Donuts is so we had to try. And even more awesome, we had a coupon for BOGO. My daughter had an oreo donut and I had a chocolate caramel with nuts. I didn't realize they were made to order so we were pleasantly surprised. They were so good. Hot, melted in your mouth. Cool donut place! Staff was very friendly. Would definitely visit again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of donuts available for order, and each one was absolutely delicious! The donuts are freshly made as you order. The only thing you don't really get is the human contact some people may want. You order on a screen, pay at the screen and pick up at the counter when they call your number. All the staff are behind the counter diligently making donuts, which is great; however, there is a lack of any actual human interaction, detracting from the overall experience. Although the prices are slightly higher than expected, the wonderful quality of the donuts makes them worth a couple of extra bucks per donut compared to what you would pay at any other donut shop.

Mouth watering donuts which no one can resist. Lot of different combination of flavors to try. My favorite is blueberry glaze with Oreos. Fresh out of fryer donuts melt in your mouth. It was a bummer that they don’t serve donut sundae like few other locations.

These are great doughnuts. They have a virtually of different flavors. All the doughnuts are made fresh in house and topping are applied when ordered. Go online and order to save some wait time when you get here. I would give them 9 out of 10 stars.

The tiny parking lot is worth it! The food here was so good, and even though the staff in the middle of a morning rush we were taken care of quickly. I'm also a stickler for clean and this place was sparkling! The staff clearly work well together and are very friendly. Running a large amount of takeout and in store orders at the same time is no easy task and they did great. In regards to the price, this place is super affordable. Just depends how many fun drinks you wanna order. You can spend as much or as little as you would like (⁠ ⁠╹⁠▽⁠╹⁠ ⁠)

We stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday morning and we are glad we did. We were seated at the bar quickly and our server was top notch. Everyone working seemed friendly and happy which was nice. We ordered the Avocado Bagel on Jalapeno Cheddar and built our own bagel with Cinnamon Raisin, Swiss Cheese, Bacon, Fried Egg and Sausage Patties. We also had a bowl of fruit. Everything we ate was delicious and the Avocado Bagel was enough for two people. The place stayed busy the entire time we were there and now we know why! Would highly recommend Barrier Island Bagels for a great breakfast!

This place was amazing! I visited on vacation and solely went for the coconuts key lime cream cheese (if you get that on a French toast bagel? Heaven!) and was NOT disappointed! This place is amazing; and as a New Yorker I highly recommend! We ended up coincidentally sitting next to the owner’s at the bar and they were so sweet, and could easily tell they loved everything about their business. I highly recommend stopping by for either take out or dining in for their amazing speciality bagels too!

My husband and I tried going here a few years ago, but they were closed the day we were in town, unfortunately. We finally went this year, and it was worth the wait! I especially love the unique bagel sandwich offerings and the ability to create your own. We sat by the window towards the back, so we got to see the bakers preparing the food as well - highly recommend! Next time we'll try one of the flights!

It was very busy the morning we stopped in they only had one wait staff, she was awesome. It just was hectic.

Normally, I like this place for takeout, but this was my first time dining in for breakfast and I didn’t enjoy it at all. The hostess was amazing, but I can’t say the same about the rest of the experience. I understand you can’t please everyone, but if you notice a customer is unhappy, the least you can do is try to make it right. And just to be clear, I’m not a bad tipper.

This location is ok. The touch screens are easy to use and make ordering a lot easier. The app code takes some patience to scan. The food and service are good. I would just point out that the eating area was really messy. I don’t think it is the workers fault. I can tell that people are really messy. Lots of food and trash were spilled on the floors. Someone was sweeping as we were starting to leave. I think people should be more courteous and clean up after themselves.

BUSY! Saturday morning heading out of Nags Head on July 8th. Seems like everyone else had the same idea. Just a few tables open, so we sat down and placed our order online. They aren't doing tableside service, but I cannot even fault that, it's too bust! Orders came up fast as the crew in the back is working really hard. Food was great as expected, dining room was pretty clean with the exception of tables needing wiped, but again with so many people in and our, there isn't even time to wipe tables.

I rarely now before the golden arches, but Wendy's was closed for renovations so this was the least bad option, and this experience reminded me why I so deeply miss Wendy's... This place is clearly set up to be just a drive through. There are two lanes in the drive through , both severely backed up. The inside requires you to either order online, or wait by the one and only cash register for one of the people tending the drive through, which is behind a barrier, to notice you and, eventually, grudgingly acknowledge you. After I stood at the counter for several minutes, a woman came out and stood at the register with her arms folded and stared at me, so I said, "Good afternoon, sir! Welcome to McDonald's. What can I get for you today?" That got her to put her hands on the register, whereupon I placed my order and paid. She handed me my cup, and walked away without a word, which is how she conducted the entire transaction. A different, reasonably friendly young man handed me my order surprisingly quickly, and I left.

Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes in the drive-thru. We even had a mobile order and it was late evening (well after the dinner time rush). Food was room temp and dry, like it was made when we "arrived" and sat on the counter for the 30-minute duration it took for us to reach the window. When we arrived, we were two cars away from the speaker; so, it wasn't like there was a long line. Person at the window was nice, but obviously stressed. Definitely not adhering to McDonald's time and food quality standards. Wasn't worth losing even MORE time to have the order remade, but submitted a complaint to corporate.

Long wait at the drive thru. I understand they were busy. The issue is fries and burger wasn't hot. I asked for light ice the cup was half full with ice.

Incredibly dirty. Trash receptacles were packed completely. All tables were dirty. Bathroom had toilet paper sitting on top of dispenser. Had to use kiosk to order as no one was working counter. Parking lot was jammed. Had to wait 10 minutes for an opening to leave. Doubtful to ever return.

Drive thru, couldn't order because car ahead wouldn't pull up far enough. Heard person over speaker but too far away to answer. When we were finally able to pull up, no one would answer our calls for service. The drive thru next to us helped 4 vehicles before coming back to us. Good food, very bad service. This was this past Saturday morning.

I had to change my rating to one star....it's cool when a order is messed up no biggie, I was willing to pay for the mini bagels this morning but glad I didn't....they smell and taste like they were soaked or sprayed with a chemical, first time I've experienced this. I hope I don't get sick and feel like this was pay back for pointing out there was a mistake. I stop here often but never will again and it disappoints me this happened because I've been in the service industry and I wasn't rude about pointing out a mistake. I'll warn my friends to not go to this specific location. The people working aren't even rude, however, I don't trust spending money on something here again.

Avoid this Dunkin. The staff are extremely unfriendly. They refused to make any drink we tried to order with cream instead of milk, even though every other Dunkin that we’ve ever been to will use cream upon request. Starbucks and every other coffee shop in existence will do that, but the owner of this particular franchise says that they refuse to use cream for any drinks and that milk is all they offer. After reading the other reviews about how rude the staff are for this Dunkin, I should’ve avoided it and I recommend you do the same. If you really want Dunkin, drive a little ways down the road to Nags Head!

Clean and cozy Dunkin Donuts shop. Our coffee was hot, fresh and prepared as ordered. The donuts were very fresh. The staff was very friendly and chipper for it being so early in the morning. Kudos to a great staff!!

We went on a Sunday during the summer, so it was very crowded. However they had about 15 people working there, so it moved quickly. The workers were very nice, helpful, and polite.

Fantastic spot with great vibes and even better coffee! We ordered four drinks—three iced lattes and one drip coffee with sugar-free syrup—and all of them were excellent. I especially loved the Sweet Baby Jesus and the Ol' Helga, which was exceptionally yummy! The staff was super friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, with a fun, beachy vibe and cool decor (loved the skateboards and art!). It’s a great place to relax or grab something delicious on the go. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Love Ashleys’s! Tried it for the first time this past weekend and it’s definitely my favorite coffee spot now in OBX. The line moves very fast. I couldn’t choose between a Red Dawn Cold Brew or a Nitro Cold Brew because I’ve never had either of them and I had asked about which to do. I was greeted with kindness and a smile asking what I’d prefer (something stronger or something like a Guinness beer texture). I decided on the stronger because I love espresso BUT the barista offered me a sample of the nitro cold brew to try as well. I just add a lot of stevia to my drinks because of dietary restrictions but I loved both actually! My friend got the salted caramel mocha and it was a 10/10. The entire shop has local items to buy from jewelry to paintings. They have a lot of baked goods options and unique refrigerated beverages. I even saw an ice cream sandwich mini fridge full from Surfin’ Spoon. Definitely recommend checking this place while you’re in OBX.

Awesome coffee shop tucked away in Kill Devils! The atmosphere is awesome. There is outdoor seating. The coffee is the delicious! And the plain crumb cake is absolutely incredible! It is a MUST visit!

Coffee was full of flavor, and the atmosphere was quant. The decor is filled with local artist creations, some of which is for sale! Very unique ambience, perfect for a beach getaway. Finally, the pastries we tried were very good, overall. However, the chocolate mouse muffin was likely the best muffin I’ve ever had!

The Alex and staff is amazing. Great coffee, conversation, history, and the best views. Locals, tourist, and anyone that loves coffee, tea, wine, and a good time needs to make sure to stop in.

Do you want to know why they have the fastest service here?! because they don’t even make their coffee properly. I asked for a caramel iced latte. I got a watered down milk special with a swirl of caramel. GROSS. Too expensive for these dumb mistakes!

I will just start out by saying the food and service is always quite good. It's s fairly decent Dunkin... BUT FIX YOUR AIR CONDITIONING!! For the past SEVERAL WEEKS, I've gone inside to pick up orders, and every time, it feels almost as hot inside as it is outside. Completely UNACCEPTABLE working conditions!! And no, putting a giant fan does not help. I feel for these poor employees that have to work in such terrible conditions! It's absurd, and someone should be reported for this negligence! THESE ARE HUMAN BEINGS!! How do you sleep at night? You should be ASHAMED!! We have been experiencing several heat waves and warnings these past few months, I pray for these poor people. You all deserve better. Shame on you, Dunkin.

I go here quite frequently. Everyone is nice and kind. The two managers go over and above and train their staff to as well. I’ll pass three Dunkin’s to go to this one every single time even if the line is long and I have to cross the bypass. Lol

My husband and son came to eat here today and I can say we were very happy to stumble upon this little gem of a place. I am a huge fan of supporting local small businesses and love finding little hidden gems. I feel like that is exactly what this place is. My husband ordered the flounder and I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and we were able to do a special order for my 1 year old son. It’s a small place, buts it’s all we needed. They had a high chair for my son. The lady at the front who took care of us was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good and affordable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a chill atmosphere and good food. Thank you!

We stumbled upon this gem during an all-day bike trip and arrived right as they were closing. The owner greeted us warmly and encouraged us to place our order anyway. Not only did the food come out quickly, but he even invited us to stay past closing so we could enjoy our meal inside in the cool A/C—a true act of hospitality after a long, hot ride. The food was absolutely top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and fairly priced—and we devoured every bite. Exceptional service, genuine kindness, and delicious food make this a place I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a great meal.

We believe in supporting small local businesses, so we gave this place a shot for breakfast one morning on a recent stay at OBX. Had the breakfast special (2 eggs, sausage or bacon, & tater tots or home fries). Nothing wrong with the food, it was fine, but nothing to rave about. Probably should have tried something else like a breakfast burrito or ??? Not sure that I agree with the overall 4.8 average rating, but maybe we just ordered the wrong things.

The food is fresh, hot and excellent! The biggest downside is that this is kind of in a strip of other businesses and bars right up against the highway. Not much to see. They do have outside dining, but the cars are really noisy. I think these guys would kill it in a dedicated facility. The food is really good.

N.Y. Bagels is a gem in the Outer Banks! Their bagels are fresh, chewy, and delicious—exactly what you’d expect from a New York-style bagel shop. Fresh, hot New York–style bagels right in the Outer Banks. The cream cheese is made homemade and is full of flavor, and the bagels come out soft, steamy, and perfect. I came here every single day for about three weeks straight, and yes, I gained a little weight—but it was absolutely worth it. The shop has a welcoming atmosphere with fun little touches, and the owner’s personality shines through both in person and online. A great spot worth stopping for every time. Trust me when I tell you, stop by and see John and Cathy at NY Bagels!!! Omg delicious! First of all the aromas hit your nose the second you open the door!!! I got the First Norwegian and some OJ! Let me tell you, the bagel was fresh and soft the flavors inside the bagel were incredible. I got mine to-go thinking I could just eat it in the car...I should have stayed there and chatted it up with the locals because the bagel was big and delicious. And the atmosphere and service were great. I felt at home with friends!!! Anyway, there is my take. Enjoy it for yourself!

Our community is lucky to have this gem of a bagel shop. Owned and operated by a hardworking husband and wife team who are up in the wee hours of the morning and every day, they bake fresh bagels and whip up delicious cream cheese from scratch seven days a week. In a tourism-driven community like ours, it’s no small feat to keep a small business running with such consistency and quality. The bagels are always fresh, perfectly baked, and full of flavor, and the warm, welcoming service keeps me coming back. I’ve seen some comments online that paint a very different picture of this business, but from my experience, those claims couldn’t be further from the truth. These owners are kind, committed, and go above and beyond for their customers. If you want authentic, fresh bagels made with care and the chance to support a true local small business, this is the place to go.

I grew up on Long Island, and these are probably the closest you'll get to NY bagels without making the trip out to NY. Friendly service, nice variety of fresh whipped cream cheese, and decent prices. They also had breakfast sandwich options which I didn't try. I only got the plain cream cheese with my bagels, but it was tasty and reminded me of Temp Tee. The atmosphere of the place even reminded me of a NY bagels shop. Definitely recommend going here if you're looking for some good bagels.

We are NYers and I hesitate to go because we aren't in NY. I would say that the bagels are ok. The lady behind the counter was not pleasant at all and wasn't even trying to be kind. It was around 7:30 am so it was early in the day. She asked if I wanted plain cream cheese and I said, oh what are my options. She said very abruptly, under cream cheese and pointed to their large chalkboard with her pen. It was my 1st time there and I didnt have much time to absorb the entire board. It doesn't take much to be nice. Please have patience with people and work on your customer service. It really does make a difference. As a side note, the young lady who gave us our food was very pleasant.
