Ambar Clarendon is a rustic-chic eatery offering a small plates menu of traditional Balkan dishes and regional spirits. It has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Popular Brunch Spots in America, offering unlimited plates for brunch at a set price.
Visited Ambar for Saturday Brunch. Overall interior is GORGEOUS and the place can be pretty packed for their brunches. Make reservation ahead of time. Ice Coffee - Skip, tasted watered down and nothing special. Recommend ordering their signature drinks (they’re all 0.99 or 2.99) Crispy Cheese (sandwich) - 10/10, so gooey and crispy! Tasted great with the remoulade sauce Shakshuka - 10/10, they give you a sunny side egg on top which you can break/mix in. Request with bread. Mushroom Flatbread - 8/10, tasted wonderful with the arugula, mushroom and caramalized onions. Not a fan of the goat cheese (a little strong for me) Balkan Mini Donuts - 8/10, big cute donut holes and you can choose between Nutella or jam. I picked the Nutella and it was delicious, a little doughy in the center.

Ambar is a very nice upscale restaurant with a delicious menu, specially for Sunday brunch. They have a Gluten free/vegan menu, but our waiter was a bit wary about recommending anything, because, as she said, they do not take any care about mixing/cross-contaminating dishes. I really do not understand why they bother saying they offer gluten free options if there is no effort in separating a bit of the kitchen to make the Gluten Free dishes. The mimosas are nice, but served almost at room temperature. We tried almost all the dishes in the menu, and they are perfect for individual consumption. The tomato soup was excellent. The balkan kebabs were a bit raw for our taste, but everything was nicely presented. The only gluten free dessert is the granola, fruit and yogurt plate without the granola, but it was very nice and refreshing. The restaurant is modern and cute. Fast service. Good prices for the experience. Will visit again.

All the delicious food you could want in tasting size portions for 2 hours. Only had one dish I didn't care for (cheese pie) but really like the forest mushroom crepe. Reservations recommended, good spot for large groups.
Jennifer L — Google review
I highly recommend this location. The food was delicious. There are two dining areas. I do not recommend the downstairs area. It was very dark. Everything that we tried was amazing especially the potatoes, the fried chicken, the waffles, and the mimosas. The food came quickly and we were very satisfied with everything that we tasted. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to try something different. I also recommend making a reservation. There is a parking garage located across the street on the corner. You can also try your luck at finding a parking spot on the street. However, most of the street parking is zoned so be careful.

Great restaurant with a lovely ambiance and excellent service. At first, it was difficult to catch the staff‘s attention, but once we did, the service became much quicker. The variety of food was impressive, and our brunch turned into a fantastic experience. I especially enjoyed the flavors of the Grilled Hanger Steak, the Salmon Benedict and the Caramel Apple Waffle on top.
Arefeh G — Google review
A few friends and I enjoyed a lively Saturday brunch, and it did not disappoint. The food was both delicious and satisfyingly filling—we indulged in a steady stream of small plates, each one better than the last. Traditional and mixed berry mimosas flowed alongside, adding a refreshing touch to the meal. Service was attentive and well-paced. We ordered new dishes as previous ones arrived, which kept the experience seamless and the table never empty. There was a small hiccup with the mixed berry mimosa refills—one of us had to follow up a couple of times—but given how busy the place was, it was understandable. The atmosphere was buzzing, with every table occupied and a few groups sitting outside. That said, the noise level made it hard to hold a conversation without raising our voices. Still, for $43 per person for endless small plates and just $1 per drink, it’s a great value and absolutely worth checking out.

I've been wanting to try Ambar for a while and finally got to do so and had a fabulous experience. Between my husband and I we tried about 11 tapas and had a dessert. Everything we had was fresh and flavorful and not overly salted. Service was prompt even on a Saturday night and we didn't have to wait long for the next round of tapas to arrive. We left satisfied and full of delicious food. A couple missed opportunities for the restaurant: the waiter refilled my husband's iced tea but never asked if I wanted another glass of wine. Also when we ordered the dessert we weren't asked if we wanted tea or coffee.
Julia H — Google review
$35 unlimited small plates is an incredible deal and allows even someone with a small appetite to try so many things. This is how food should be!! Here's what I tried: Cevapi --- TO DIE FOR, worth a return visit just for these two small kebabs Steak tartare --- excellent, nice tart flavor to balance out the richness Ajvar spread --- tasty, not as much garlic or eggplant as I hoped though Forest mushroom crepe --- very heavy and cheesy, a little too rich for me Meat pie --- lacking a little in flavor, would not recommend Throughout my whole meal, Ari was very attentive and came by frequently to check in. Really appreciated her cheerfulness and close attention!!

The Liberty Tavern is a popular spot in Northern Virginia, offering a lively downstairs bar with pub grub and an upstairs space serving changing New American fare. Arlington, where the tavern is located, has been recognized as one of the best cities to live in the United States. The neighborhood offers great schools, public transit, family life, and nightlife. The tavern has adapted its all-you-can-eat brunch by offering unlimited small plates for adults and kids at a set price.
This review is for happy hour at Liberty Tavern. We had a wonderful time with delicious food and well made cocktails. Prices are amazing and wait staff and hostess were so lovely. Highly recommend the spiked strawberry lemonade. So good!

This is my go-to restaurant in Arlington! Anytime I have friends or family visiting, I always bring them here. Last night’s dinner was especially amazing. Our server, Nikola, went above and beyond with his service, making the evening even better. My friends and I ordered a variety of dishes to share (as you can see in the photo), and everything was delicious. The pizza and truffle fries are always my staples, but I tried the mac and cheese for the first time—and I’m still dreaming about it! Highly recommend!

I have gone to liberty tavern before for dinner, and they have great pizza, drinks, and appetizers, so when I went to brunch yesterday- I knew it was going to be good. My expectations were exceeded by all means necessary. We got unlimited brunch and here were some of my favorites: the deviled eggs, chicken parm, chicken biscuit, the meatballs, pimento cheese dip, the steak, the Cesar salad, and especially the mini grilled cheese with soup. Our server (I think his name was Nick but I may be mistaken) was so kind, polite, and attentive. I almost went back today because I woke up craving the food. Big variety for the unlimited drink menu as well which is refreshing for a brunch place in Arlington! I wish I took more pictures of the food but unfortunately the phone did not eat first. Will be back for brunch again soon! (Dinner is also delicious but my socks were blown off for brunch)

The servers were great. The food was amazing. The inside and outside were really clean. It’s dog friendly (on the patio), and everyone was so nice. They have a kid menu my daughter loved. We definitely recommend coming here. To summarize, everything was great. We really enjoyed our experience. We’re definitely coming back!

My experience at the Liberty Tavern was nice. I had the field green salad and french fries. Let’s start with my faveeeee .. I love me some French fries and these did not disappoint! They were crunchy and seasoned to perfection! The chipotle sauce they served with them I was not a fan of but the ketchup was 🤏🏽! The salad was different .. I had the grains and greens and there wasn’t that many chickpeas in the salad and the labneh added a different taste, like the labneh wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either .. 🤷🏽‍♀️, could be my tastebuds haha. The star of my meal was the fries and I would go back again just for the fries alone lol. Our server was kind and attentive. She kept our drinks filled and our table was cleared fast too as we sat after eating and chatted. Also - sidenote, I ended up in the chair that Barack Obama sat in when he visited!

Interesting place with a lot of potential but the quality of food doesn't make up for the blandness. So, it's fresh, care is taken by the cooking staff, but seasoned for grandpa & grandpa. The real issue is just how loud it is. Almost impossible to talk during brunch.

Breakfast restaurant
Bayou Bakery, Coffee Bar & Eatery is a casual New Orleans-inspired counter-service bakery and cafe located in Arlington. The funky setting exudes warmth and hospitality with its mini-living room vibe, complete with a playlist of brass band music and plenty of Big Easy-themed decor. The shop offers classic coffees as well as unique drinks like the cajun latte with bourbon, cayenne, and cinnamon.
Food was great here. I got the biscuits and gravy (Louisiana style) and everything tasted homemade and fresh. I followed that by a whole milk hot latte, pretty good. My boyfriend got a avocado toast, he enjoyed it. We shared the beignets and they tasted good they were not to sweet which I liked. We went on a Saturday which you can imagine was busy, but it was fast service. We will be coming here again for Brunch.
Fabiola C — Google review
This place is busy! Definitely order ahead. Breakfast sandwich was kind of small but perfectly proportioned. Think the bread type could’ve been more inspiring. Iced coffee worked its magic on me. Perfectly sweet but not too much. I’ll need to plan to go back to try their beignets and other treats.
Cassie S — Google review
A nice little corner brunch shop. Staff are polite and the food is delicious! Try their Louisiana style French beignets and biscuits! They are delicious! Coffee and hot chocolate are good as well!
M D — Google review
Omg. I don't even know where to start. I've had beignets in New Orleans (Cafe Beignet) and the ones from Bayou Bakery definitely satisfied that craving!!! The mufaletta was everything I could ever want in a sandwich. It was piled high with quality meats, served on a delicious roll, with mayo and yummy olive tapenade. It was bursting with flavor, and definitely one of my new all-time fave hot sandwiches! I was torn between ordering this or the Arm Drip (roast beef Po Boy, looks similar to a French dip). I compromised and ordered the mufaletta with a side of the gravy that comes on the Arm Drip. (They don't actually have the option to order the gravy on the order online menu. I requested a side of gravy in the "notes" section (alone with extra mayo). It didn't occur to me that they have more than one type of gravy, ha! When I arrived to pick up my order, the lovely human who greeted me (Karla) asked me which kind of gravy I wanted, and was able to quickly add a small cup to my order for just $1. I dont expect much as far as customer service, because I know first-hand how rough it can be to work those jobs. You'd never know it based on my interaction with Karla. She was all smiles, extremely friendly and personable. It felt like having a conversation with a friend as opposed to a business transaction. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I cannot wait to return and try more items. I definitely want to dine-in sometimes as well. The seating is somewhat limited but its got a cute ambiance. I definitely need to try their baked goods sometime. Oh! They sell yesterdays leftover baked goods for $2! How fun! Love that, because not only do you get a good deal with the "old" pastries, you know everything else is freshly baked that day! You can tell a lot of love is poured into this place, and the staff seem happy, so not only is it good for my taste buds, it's a place I am happy to support. Do yourself a favor and go try them asap! What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, memorable, a place to write home about! A must-experience. Someplace I would love to reccomend to tourists, and visit myself again and again. 4 is great, somewhere I'd love to return again and again. Back-up reccomenation for tourists. 3 is good. A solid option if I am in the area. I may reccomend to locals, but would probably leave it off my list of reccomendations for tourists. 2 is ok, but only because it a great value, unique, and/or convenient. 1 means I would not return
Sage R — Google review
My wife didn't love the flavor of her latte (but everybody has different taste preferences). The muffins and scones were enjoyed by all in my family. Service was good! Would definitely come back on next visit.
Jon H — Google review
Ordered recently and while the ambiance is really nice for a weekend brunch and the menu has a nice variety of options. The beignets are really average. I did order takeout but I picked them up warm and fresh. The beignet is really chewy and doughy. The bread itself is bland and not a lot of flavor besides the powdered sugar. I think I would like it more if the beignets were smaller/sweeter or filled with chocolate or some other dipping sauce like caramel. I would avoid coming to the restaurant for just beignets and look elsewhere. I had a muffalato which was very tasty but for $16 a small bagel sandwich with a pickel is a little pricey.
Alejandro — Google review
I visited Bayou Bakery on Saturday, July 27 around 1:40 PM and ordered a coffee at the counter, asking for it to be made less sweet. When I received it, it was still overly sweet. I politely asked for it to be adjusted, and the barista, Andres, responded very rudely, saying: “You should have let us know when you ordered,” — even though I had clearly done so. I spoke with Allegra, but I’m also sharing this publicly because I believe higher management should be aware of how customers are being treated—especially in moments when no one is watching. Mistakes happen, but the way customers are spoken to matters. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and service.
Sally B — Google review
Prose Cuban was delicious and a good size, the beignets were tasty and covered in powdered sugar. It was very nice to see some authentic food at good prices from the south.

Southern restaurant (US)

Ruthie's All-Day is a bright and inviting mid-century modern restaurant that serves up comforting Southern-style cuisine throughout the day. The menu features a variety of dishes, including fried chicken biscuits and apple-pie pancakes for breakfast, as well as a lunch and dinner selection centered around a 'meat and three' concept.
Visiting old friends in Arlington and we decided dinner was in order. They lived near Ruthie's and said we have to go. It does not disappoint. We are fans of brisket and ribs and the menu was great. Asked the waiter what he recommended on the menu and he said "everything". He wasn't wrong. You can order entrees with two or 3 sides. I went for the ribs with home made biscuits (crunchy outside and soft buttery inside) and Mac and cheese (honestly the best Mac and cheese I have ever had). Wife got the brisket and loved it. More food than we could eat at one sitting (great portions), but I ate almost all of it anyway. My ribs fell off the bone. Sauces were perfect for the pairings. Also a shout out to the wait staff. Our waiter, Rowan, was very attentive and prompt. Food arrived quicker than I expected. Special note: they make limited quantities of the food, so if brisket is your thing, make sure you order quickly before they run out.

First time coming here. Everyone was super polite and fast with their service! We really liked how happy all the employees looked working at this establishment. Hispanic speaking servers was a plus! The food was delicious!!! They had the 3 items/$25 so it was a little expensive for breakfast items but you can order heavier items during breakfast which is a plus. No kids menu so that was a definite 4 stars. All the food was very tasty and fresh! Right down to the breads and salads! The atmosphere is very welcoming, clean and tidy! We left happy and heavier haha. We will definitely come back again!!! 🖤

Ate here for dinner and had some really good barbecue. I had the Grilled Salmon with potato salad and brussel sprouts sides. The salmon was well cooked and was very good. The potato salad was also good and the brussel sprouts were great. Others in our party had the brisket, which they liked, and the chicken tenders, which were ok, but not great. Really good service and atmosphere here. A nice place in the neighborhood to eat and get good wood-fired southern barbecue.
Dave H — Google review
Ruthie’s All-Day has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants — and for good reason. We came with friends visiting from New York, and they absolutely loved it too. Everything we tried was fantastic. The hush puppies were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the cornbread was warm, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet, and both the steak and brisket were cooked to perfection — tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The drinks were great as well, perfectly complementing the meal. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the service made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for amazing Southern-inspired comfort food done right, Ruthie’s All-Day is a must-visit.
Kage Y — Google review
Friendly staff. There were 5 in our party and we had to wait a couple minutes for a table, we were not rushed in any way and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Started with hushpuppies and cornbread, then moved on to the most delicious burgers and brisket sandwiches. The hand punched fries will make you scream in delight!!! I wish I would have saved room for dessert, but I did not. Will definitely go back when I am in the area again

Extremely delicious southern food, very friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere (especially the outdoor terrace). I really enjoyed the crispy smoked cauliflower. I would also highly recommend the smashed red potatoes.
Rose S — Google review
Great place to lunch. Although there was more than several tables being occupied, the two wait staff was enough. Clean, appealing with fresh flowers on every table, this looks like a very upscale diner. Food was fantastic, and we could not get enough. We will come again.
Janice — Google review
We came on a Tuesday for a late breakfast/early lunch and had a hard time choosing among so many yummy choices! The RAD Bowl and the Big Bad Brisket Sammy did not disappoint! The service was friendly and efficient, the food arrived quickly and was delicious, and the dining room was bright and airy. Ruthie’s is now our new favorite place!

Northside Social Coffee & Wine is a versatile spot that offers a cozy atmosphere, delicious coffee, and an extensive menu. Whether you're looking for a place to grab brunch, have a business meeting, or simply relax with a book, this establishment has something for everyone. With comfortable seating options both indoors and outdoors, including dog-friendly outdoor seating and a quieter upstairs area, it's the perfect place to unwind. In addition to their great coffee selection, they also offer an impressive array of beers.
- The restaurant is a standalone building located near a crossroad. - There is ample seating both indoors and outdoors. The indoor seating is divided into front, back, and upstairs areas. - On Fridays in July, the restaurant is consistently busy from 2 PM to 4 PM. - Typically, there are happy hours and live music on Fridays from 6 PM to 9 PM. - Besides coffee, the restaurant offers breakfast options and other beverages. - During the day, it operates primarily as a coffee shop, while at night it transforms into a wine bar. [my experience] - The back and upstairs areas are quieter, while the front area is more bustling with constant traffic. - The restaurant is suitable for socializing, business meetings, or simply enjoying the atmosphere. - If you prefer a quieter workspace, the back or upstairs areas would be more suitable.

Great spot for a weekend brunch. Loved the cuban sandwich. There is parking in front but don’t count on it. A lot of people so you might not be able to sit yourselves.

My cousin and I hosted a bridal shower at this location and we were so happy with how everything turned out. The staff especially Kelly was so helpful with booking and planning the event. The communication was top-notch. The day of, Mario and his team did such a great job with taking care of us from helping us set up the decor to setting up the music to bringing us anything we needed during the event. The food was AMAZING and a big hit with our vegetarian crowd. I’m not a big fan of food at coffee shops but it was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for helping us put on such a memorable event!

Northside Social Coffee & Wine is a great spot for pretty much any time of day. In the mornings, they serve good coffee, freshly baked pastries, and the atmosphere is good for getting work done or just taking it easy. They have plenty of seating both inside and out, so even when it’s busy it doesn’t feel totally cramped. Later in the day, they shift into wine-bar mode, perfect if you want something more laid-back with a glass of wine and some small plates.
Alessia P — Google review
Northside Social is such a great spot! The coffee is excellent, the food items are fresh and tasty, and their happy hour is delicious with great options. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming, and the space has plenty of seating (with outlets, which is a huge plus!). It’s perfect for working, relaxing, or meeting up with friends. Definitely one of my go-to places.

Stopped her for lunch. On a nice day, it’s a nice spot to sit out and drink/eat. Nice selection of wines, and small but diverse menu options s. We had the salmon salad, quiche, pop tarts and some wine. Will definitely be back.

Casual, unassuming and welcoming meeting place that you can go to with friends, family, colleagues. Their baked goods are very good. I tried their gluten free chocolate pecan cookie that was delicious! It had a crispy coating, chewy middle, and very chocolatey. The coffee cake was good and not too sweet. They have happy hour and other dishes that I would want to go back and try. There's seating upstairs and in the back area.

Busboys and Poets is a vibrant establishment that serves as a bookstore, coffee shop, and restaurant with a focus on global cuisine. Founded in DC in 2005, it has become a community hub hosting poetry nights, meetings, and supporting underserved communities. Owner Andy Shallal has created a space for art, music, and discussions on important social issues. With seven locations, it has attracted activists and visitors alike who appreciate its unique atmosphere and delicious food.
How can you not love a place that features art, has great music playing at a perfect volume (not so loud that it drowns out the ability to hear someone who's talking to you), books, good food, and an environment that welcomes EVERYONE?! I loved it! Was visiting DC for a couple of days and did breakfast there twice. I was pleased with my breakfast both times that I went. My only criticism is that I wasn't a fan of the grits. I like them creamier and they were TOO thick. It was just a small side item, so it didn't ruin my breakfast. I will be back every time I go back to DC!
Schera Y — Google review
Busboys and Poets was such a vibe! I came in for brunch and had the catfish and grits with a couple of mimosas. 100% hit the spot. The catfish was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the grits were creamy and comforting. The food alone would have been enough to win me over, but the atmosphere took it to another level. The space has this warm, creative energy, and I loved that the restaurant connects directly to a bookstore. It’s the kind of place you want to linger after your meal. Staff was super friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu and maybe grab a book or two next time!

Great food, music, atmosphere and service with books and poetry. What a great combination! This place is great! Can’t say enough about how much we like Busboys & Poets! We love what they have going on here. We came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It was not busy so we were able to quickly grab a table. Plenty of people were here but the space is abundant so it was open with moderate to low discussion volume. Kiona, our serve was good to us. We started with a Vanilla Carmel Latte and a Sweet Spice Latte. Both were great! For our meal we had the Western Omelette w/ Toast and a Mekhleme (a traditional Iraqi dish). Both were very good! This was the time having Mekhleme and boy was it tasty and hot as it come out in a skillet seemingly straight out of the oven. Gotta appreciate that. We ended the visit with a couple mimosas. One with Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice and the other with Mango.

Review: Fried Chicken & Burger at Busboys and Poets – A Cozy Comfort Food Hit I visited Busboys and Poets recently—half craving comfort food, half just needing a relaxed space to unwind. As usual, the place had its artsy, welcoming vibe, but this time I was there for the food. I ordered two of their most talked-about dishes: the Fried Chicken and the Busboys Burger. Here’s how it went: ⸻ 🍗 Fried Chicken This dish came with two crispy pieces of halal, cage-free chicken breast, coated in a golden buttermilk and cornmeal crust. It looked amazing—and honestly, it tasted pretty great too. The crust was super crunchy with a nice peppery flavor. The chicken was slightly on the dry side (especially the inner part of the breast), but what saved it was the herb-mushroom cream sauce drizzled over the top—earthy, rich, and totally comforting. On the side, instead of traditional Southern-style pairings, they served fries, which were hot, crispy, and well-seasoned—no complaints there. Not the typical pairing you’d expect with fried chicken, but it worked. Would I order it again? Probably, but I might ask if they can go lighter on the cook time to keep the chicken juicier. That sauce though? Totally lick-the-plate-worthy. ⸻ 🍔 Busboys Burger (Beef Burger) Next up was the Busboys Burger, made with a brisket beef patty and served on a soft brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The burger had a clean, bold beef flavor—lean, no heavy grease, and clearly made with quality meat. But here’s the catch: brisket is naturally lean, so if it’s cooked beyond medium, it can dry out quickly. Mine was closer to medium-well, and I definitely felt like it needed a bit more moisture. That said, the side salad it came with was fresh and lightly dressed—simple but balanced—and actually made for a nice contrast to the heaviness of the burger. If you’re planning to try the burger, I’d recommend customizing it—go medium-rare and add cheddar, bacon, or even the egg version if you like a richer, juicier bite. The base is solid; it just needs a little help to reach its full potential. ⸻ 📝 Final Take Both dishes were solid choices, especially if you’re in the mood for no-fuss comfort food in a creative, inclusive setting. The fried chicken was flavorful and filling—made even better by the sauce and crispy fries. The burger was clean and lean, though I’d definitely doctor it up next time with extra toppings and a more tender cook. Would I come back? Absolutely. I already have my eye on their Egg & Cheddar Burger and maybe one of those vegan cakes I spotted on the way out. ⸻ Rating: • Fried Chicken: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) – crispy, saucy, satisfying • Busboys Burger: ⭐⭐⭐☆ (3.5/5) – solid base, needs toppings & correct doneness to shine

A very sweet place in D.C. that offers vegan and „classic“ breakfast. We came for a relaxed breakfast and had a great time. Kiki, the super sweet and caring waitress was such a sweetheart and was taking care of us perfectly. I ordered the vegan Hash Dish and it was delicious. The interior is great and the music is just the best. I will definitly come back to this place 😊 Thank you 😁

The atmosphere/ambiance of the place is wonderful . The staff is also really kind! I loved that there was a bookstore inside the place. The food is really good and the price is reasonable. Also, for my muslim brother and sister out there, they serve halal chicken and meat as stated in the menu, which is really nice! There were also vegaterian options and gluten free options. Love it!

Diner
Breakfast restaurant
Restaurant
Metro 29 Diner, located in Fairfax, is a spacious and historic American diner that has been serving family recipes and classic dishes since 1947. The diner was recognized as a Virginia Historic Landmark due to its rare streamlined modern design. Under new management since 2014, the emphasis has shifted to hickory smoked barbecue, including pulled pork, ribs, pit beef, and chicken.
This is a great retro diner with all the chrome and neon lights. Parking is at the rear with access to the restaurant from either side. We were seated right away and the booths are comfy. Service is very good with all the servers dressed nicely and uniformly. The menu choices are extensive and they serve breakfast all day. There really is so much on the menu from Italian to Greek to American and more. Our food, we ordered the French onion soup, then I had the gyro and my wife the chicken and broccoli, all was excellent. We got dessert to go! Go here and have a great time with great food.

I was very excited to try this ! I love diners and this one looked very promising. We ordered the turkey burger and the crab cake sandwich and they did not deliver. Maybe our mistake was not trying it for breakfast since most of the positive reviews were for the French toast. Our server was polite but not friendly at all which matter very much when dining out

I had dinner here with church friends and the three of us had delicious meals. The meat loaf, trout, and roast turkey dinners were a big hit! Nice ambiance, clean, comfortable, quiet with a terrific staff. Our server Angel was an angel...so accommodating and friendly. It was my first visit here since the late 90s, but I'll be back for sure! 😉

Decided to go before the lunch rush but surprisingly, the diner was already packed by 11:00. Parking lot was also full but luckily I found a spot. Was seated near the diner counter in the small booth. Ordered the Turkey Triple Decker sandwich with french fries. My food was delicious and very fulfilling. My waiter, which I don't recall (sorry) was very attentive until a couple sat down at the diner counter then their group decided to follow behind them to place an order to go. Reminder the diner was already packed! They were standing blocking the aisle and I was trying to enjoy my meal but who can if their behinds were a couple of feet away from you! They were loud, using profanity and conversing about adult things. There were young children around and I was shocked the workers didn't say anything. I tried to get my waiter's attention but he was so caught up with the group. I had to wait over 30 minutes until I was able to get my waiter's attention. I had to ask another worker for a box to go and my check. Waited another 15 minutes 👎🏽! Despite the group issue and having to wait for my waiter, I might give them another try only because the food was delicious. This time, I'll ask not to be seated near the diner's counter.
Ann A — Google review
The atmosphere was very pleasant. I was greeted and seated quickly. The waitresses were all very attentive, courteous, pleasant. It's a large diner in comparison to a typical diner. It's currently 81° outside and inside it's cool, not cold...perfect! I ordered the silver dollar pancakes with 2 sausage links, and a side of corned beef hash. Everything came quickly, hot, and to order. I wasn't a fan of the sausage. For me, it was a little porky (I never thought I would ever use that word) and lacking seasoning. I don't think they were "traditional" pork sausage links. The pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Next time, I'll asked for them to be cooked a little more. The hash was perfect. I had enough to split in half and take home. I highly recommend and if in the area, return.

This restaurant food is consistent it is always great the servings are humongous the service is awesome the hostess is open the door for the party I was with to enter into exit. I have been coming to Metro diner since they opened I have no complaints about this restaurant at all. So if you have a healthy appetite and you want a good meal I strongly suggest check out Metro diner. And do me a favor after you leave Metro diner leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

The vast menu has me wondering about more thing I want to try. Too bad I could only eat one item, as the portions here are huge! The Greek Salad was very tasty, I really enjoyed the dressing. All the desserts, and pastries are made in house, and are droolicious... Nick is an exceptional person when it comes to attentiveness to the customer, I pray more servers can take some tips from this gentleman. I will definitely come back!

Nestled in the heart of the city, Cafe Colline is a charming French bistro that invites you to indulge in a delightful culinary experience. With its elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, it's an ideal spot for leisurely lunches or romantic dinners. The menu boasts classic dishes like duck confit and steak frites, alongside regional specialties crafted by chef Brendan L'Etoile.
Had a great brunch at Cafe Colline! As soon as I saw a pic of the French onion soup, I knew I needed to give it a try and WOW, it was delicious! Got the omelette for my main as well and it was very tasty, as were the frites. Yummy French press coffee, too. Definitely recommend if looking for some French cuisine!

We had lived in France for many years, many moons ago, and are always on the lookout for a good French Restaurant. Cafe Colline is a nice little neighborhood gem. Staff was attentive and service was pretty quick. My Soupe a l'oignon was very good. I ordered the Steak Frites (medium) but it came out rather dry. I mentioned it to the waiter and he offered a replacement. I went with the Potato crusted Saumon and it was very good. My husband's Soupe de Poisson and Confit de Canard were good.

I visited this restaurant with my family the other night, and we had an amazing experience. Our server, Chris G, was incredibly friendly and guided us through the menu and daily specials. The food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. Having heard great things about this place, it truly lived up to the hype. I would even say it's the best restaurant in North Arlington. Highly recommend it to anyone craving French cuisine!

Our group met for a retirement dinner on October 16, and the experience could not have been better. There is adequate parking in back. The room provided the perfect ambiance of comfort, privacy, soft music and soft lighting. The menu was personalized with the name of our honoree. Our dedicated server, Marta, did a fabulous job making each person feel special. The food was superb.

A very good French restaurant in a charming north Arlington setting. My husband usually gets the burger and I do the chicken with potatoes dauphine. We share the goat cheese to start. Everything is delicious and very flavorful. We try to dine outside when weather permits, as the dining room can get crowded.

Café Colline is such a gem! The food feels fresh and elegant without being fussy — the French onion soup and steak frites are perfection. The space is cozy and charming, and the staff is always warm and attentive. It’s one of those spots that makes you feel like you’ve escaped to a little Paris café right in Arlington. Perfect for brunch, date night, or just treating yourself. 🥂✨

Excellent food, excellent service! My wife and I had been trying to go to this place for quite some time (place is booked weeks in advance and for a good reason) so we finally booked a reservation to go with some friends and we all had a really good experience. I would have to disagree with some of other reviews on the service. Our waiter (and at least one other that was serving the table next to us) were very attentive, they had pretty good knowledge of the menu (including good recommendations on wine and dessert liqueuers), and service was fast and no errors on our orders. And the food was pretty authentic! Definitely try the Escargots and Beet salad (Betteraves - if you like beets you are going to love this salad). For mains we got Loup de Mère a(Sea Bass), Confit Canard and Steak Frites. Steak was perfectly cooked and the Sea Bass' almond-capers beurre was delicious (perfect amount of this butter sauce in the dish). My wife favorite French dish is the Confit Canard and Cafe Colline knows how to make it. She loved it. I tried some and I'll definitely will be back for that dish. And don't skip dessert, plenty to choose from (Creme Brulee, Pots de Creme and Olive Oil Cake were our choices, and they did not disappoint!). Make sure you plan ahead, as again this place is pretty booked most of the time.

Smokecraft Modern Barbecue is a casual eatery in Arlington, VA that offers a modern twist on traditional barbecue. The menu features a variety of smoked meats, seafood, sandwiches, and weekend brunch options. Dishes are infused with smoky flavors, including unexpected items like avocado toast and pumpkin pancakes. The brunch menu includes eight types of Benedicts and flavorful omelets.
Everything I have ever tried has been delicious. They also do a great job packaging for delivery. We ordered burgers from Smokehouse the other night and they arrived in perfect order, which is no small task. The burgers were perfectly cooked to medium rare and the flavors are unbeatable.

The food was absolutely delicious from the brisket to the macaroni and cheese 10 out of 10 I highly recommend. Our server Clem was perfect all the way through. Drinks were so creative and tasty! So smooth!

I really wanted to like the food here, but the BBQ is mediocre at best… brisket was fine, but nothing special. Ribs were super tough and flavorless. Jalapeño sausage was pretty good. Also tried the pulled pork benedict… very disappointing. Enjoyed trying all their BBQ sauces, but wasn’t enough to save the meal. Left with sticky fingers, no wet naps or sink station. Atmosphere and presentation were great. They have a nice tap list and bar menu. To me, this feels more like a nice happy hour spot, I wouldn’t come here for food again.

Since the company has a tendency to "zing reviewers" I would like to preface this with... "I was only trying to help." The hype online led us to make an hour commute to this well Instagramed spot. Made reservations and parked in the lot nextdoor. Alleviated a lot of the stress. Upon arrival we were immediately sat and quickly greeted. Our server was on top of things and brought table side ordering. Having to use QR codes to see the menu was stymied by cell signal. If you are going to require customers to "bring up the menu on their phone..." You need to provide on boarding to your network to make sure we can get the menu. As a Verizon user I had to move closer to the window after scanning the QR. (Provide another QR to get on the wifi.) After scanning the menu... We decided on the pork nachos for a starter. Due to my dietary constraints, we asked for the cream and avocado on the side. Our server made sure it was delivered correctly. 1st choice: Great I was a little concerned when I saw no sauce on it. But the pork is excellent. The cheese and salsa is almost perfect. Gobbled up quickly and enjoyed by the whole table. The main course... Well nothing looked good to me. The word dry rub made me think of BBQs that served shoe leather. I am happy to report, I was way off on this. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich expecting a dry sandwich that I would have to add sauce too. My sandwich was sauced and had onions in it. I didn't like it. But didn't hate it. I however couldn't stand the fries that came with it. They were old and cold and clearly cooked in old oil. So I just pushed them aside. The sandwich needed something... Not sure what... But I just discarded the bread and ate the meat. As I looked up I realized everyone else at the table just "passed" on their food. Ryan didn't like his combo. Lee didn't eat her sandwich. Both stating... "Too full." Ok. Let's get the check and go. The toast table side device was left with us. Which kind of felt like self check out at the grocery. Moving on. We took 2 plates worth to go. The server provided Togo containers that could also hold their sauces. On the car ride home the debate started. "Who thinks Mission is better?" I countered with "Mission doesn't have nachos." Ryan fired back with "those fries were disgusting." So over all... Would I come here on purpose again? No. If I was in the area would I come back. Probably not without looking around. Would I tell someone else "I am not eating there"? Not at all. The overall score is "fine" which is the definition of a 3/5. So give it a shot... Maybe I got an off night. But.. and this is a big one... Of the 2 people who claimed to be too full. They both ate what was in the fridge, as soon as they got home.

Clem was a great server! He was very cool, kind and responsive to our needs. The food was amazing (beware, the greens were very spicy) the brisket was nice and juicy and the mac and cheese was just right! The drinks were reallyyyy good and had unique flavors. I recommend the smoked berry margarita. We will be back soon! Thanks for delivering the authentic, southern bbq flavor that I craved!

My daughter looked on TikTok for places to eat and your restaurant had good reviews. I’m glad I trusted your reviews my daughter and I were VERY IMPRESSED AND SATISFIED 😊 From the customer service, the cleanliness and especially the food everything was a 10/10 . We made sure to let the staff know how much we loved the experience. I felt so at home and we will definitely be back .

Our favorite BBQ spot. The pulled pork is a perfect mix of sweet and smoky and the brisket is also incredible. This visit we tried the pork belly and it was so good, especially with the pineapple bourbon bbq sauce. The staff are all lovely and attentive and we’ve even chatted with the pit master whose trophies are displayed all over the restaurant. Highly recommend this spot!! YELLOW Georgetown is a charming cafe located in the heart of Washington DC's Navy Yard neighborhood. With a second location in Georgetown, it offers a unique culinary experience that combines French techniques with Middle Eastern flavors. The menu features an array of delectable options such as wood-fired shakshuka, breakfast sandwiches, and specialty coffee drinks including Halva Honey latte and baklava mocha.
Love this place. I see what the reviews are talking about. The only downfall of it all is that it’s in a very congested area, with cars and people. But it might just be worth the hassle. There is street parking but of course it is limited. The next alternative would be the garage parking lot which they have a few sprinkled around here and there. This place is very popular so there can be a line, but the place is also small so there are only a handful of seats, indoors and some outdoors. I wish I got to try more, but we were on the road and made a quick pit stop to try all the rave in a short amount of time. Even though everything I had was 100 percent delicious, I would firstly recommend the soft serve and of course the new love of my life, the batata tots and don’t forget the dipping sauce that it comes with. Staff are efficient and the place is clean. I’m sure if you read a lot of the views, you’d understand there is only one bathroom for customers, so that can be a wait as well. Too bad I don’t live in the area or anywhere near here, but if I ever find myself here, I will definitely come back.
M N — Google review
This place is busy ! With that being said it’s busy for a reason, they have a lot of great food, pastry and coffee options in a lively atmosphere. The Lebanese flare on some of the signature coffees and croissants sets them apart from the every day spot. A bit pricey I may note, also nice environment to sit and chat with some hummus and pita if you are lucky enough to find a seat.

omg definitely a must-visit if you go to Georgetown. I'm Lebanese so I was thrilled with all the Lebanese inspired pastries and I was so happy to see people enjoying my country's food. Had to wait in line for 10 minutes but totally worth it!

So delicious! The line was very intimidating at first but went by so quick. The food truly was worth the wait and I can taste every flavor and seasoning in the food. I will say the coffee wasn’t as good and honestly had no flavor, but everything else was extremely tasty. The Zaatar croissant was to die for 😊

Good food, but the line is a bit much on weekend mornings. Try a different day if you could. The lamb shoulder pita sandwich was fantastic - tender, flavorful, and really hit the spot. The fattoush was not that great.

HABIBI!! This is the best gem of DC and Georgetown! The line is 100% worth the wait, and moves very fast. Everything is incredibly flavorful and delicious. Tastebuds will definitely be in heaven. I did confirm that the lamb and chicken are halal! We had the lamb sandwich and chicken sandwich which was packed and they did not skimp on any ingredients. Now I could speak paragraphs about the food but the drinks are worthy of a review of their own. Their cold foam is out of this world! The Moroccan mint tea. Peanut dalgona , coconut cardamom were a huge hit. I have been meaning to try this place and has easily become my absolute favorite in the city. If you come to Georgetown or DC. Yallah is a must try!

Call Your Mother Deli, originally opened in 2018 in Park View, is a "Jew-ish" deli that quickly gained popularity for its delicious bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and creative pastries. The executive chef draws inspiration from her childhood in Argentina to create unique sweet treats.
Stumbled upon this place during a walk in DC, and I'm really glad we stopped in. The wait was a bit long, but I promise it's worth it. The bagels are genuinely NYC-style, and the place is charming and cozy. It shares a seating area and lobby with the nearby hotel and offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy your morning bagel and latte. Highly recommend!

Looking for a quick breakfast bagel shop while visiting D.C. we came across Call Your Mother Deli. We figured it had to be good when we turned the corner and noticed a line out the door. The decor was very cute, staff was friendly, cold brew coffee was delicious (wish they offered more than one size) and bagels and CYM bangers were delicious. We stopped in every morning while in town and everything was CONSISTENTLY good and even grabbed some bagels for home.

Good atmosphere in the “Truly Yours” hotel. Ate the “Mountainview” sandwich. It has a potato latke, smashed avocado, egg and cheddar and American cheeses. Switched out the plain bagel for an everything bagel. Tasted much better than expected. Would get it again. Service is good. Friendly staff.

Two separate trusted DC foodies individually recommended me to try Call Your Mother, so I made it a point to queue up a few minutes before they opened on the first day of my conference. The line moved quickly, and the team was fast and professional. The breakfast sandwich was an absolute dream - egg, cheese, and pastrami on a sesame, toasted. Fabulous. So glad I went - highest possible recommendation. Would have gone back on day 2 but the conference itself did provide breakfast.

A must-go every trip to DC. This location is bright and cheery and has a lot of seating optons outside and inside as it’s connected to the Yours Truly Hotel. This place was awesome! Very busy and long line, but it moved efficiently and I got my order quickly. I got the Mountain View bagel and a honey oat latte and both were amazing. Food was fresh and coffee was great. This location is definitely buzzing and you might have pay to park then walk a bit.

Loved the outdoor seating. Had a problem with 1 bagel sandwich, which they replaced soon. Other than that, the food was great, Americano coffee was great, service was pretty decent. I think the quality & taste of the bagel was much better than the ones we had at 2 famous NY city bagel shops this year.

Stellina Pizzeria, founded by Italian co-owners Matteo Venini and Antonio Matarazzo, offers a variety of Italian-style spreads for events like the big game. Options include pizza and beer combos, appetizer samplers featuring fried artichokes and Sicilian rice balls, as well as Italian-style chicken wings with cacio e pepe dipping sauce.
I’m not a huge fan of Neapolitan pizza, but I loved this! At first I thought the price was too high, I was wrong. The portions are huge. The pizza sauce does not have a ton of seasoning but the toppings and cheese make up for it big time. They’re packed so it balances out. I did the spicy picante pizza. The sandwich comes with a ton of house made chips that are light and a little oily. The sandwich is exactly what you’re looking for and as described. And it is huge. Be prepared to take part home. Definitely recommend stellina pizza.

I recently visited Stellina Pizzeria and was thoroughly impressed! I ordered both the lasagna and a pizza, and both dishes were fantastic. The lasagna was rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked layers of pasta, a deliciously hearty meat sauce, and a blend of cheeses that melted in my mouth. It was one of the best lasagnas I've had in a long time. The pizza was equally impressive. The crust was just the right balance of crispy and chewy, and the toppings were fresh and generous. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual meal with family or friends. Overall, Stellina Pizzeria met my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Italian food. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Probably the most underwhelming experience I’ve had in DC in recent memory. I don’t understand how this place is on Michelin’s Bib Gourmand list? The pizza is tasteless and basic. The crust is so thin and that it completely bends over. We also ordered brussel sprouts and they were completely charred and tasted way too burnt. So for two pizzas and burned brussel sprouts - the check was $60. I mean, come on? Wouldn’t go back.

Great happy hour option! You get a small pizza, a drink, and a few munchies for $25. Plus any drink on top of that is only $5. Pizza crust was excellent, thin and chewy. Arancini and mozzerella sticks were delicious also! Bar service was attentive and quick.

Can't speak to the pizza at this time, as we went there mainly for the little specialty pastry they make for dessert. It was very good. Kinda a lite donut hole filled with stuff 😉 Classic Italian street food treat. We were there on the Underground Donut Tour DC. A fun little way to do a ecclectic culinary trip in DC

I came in for a quick bite and while I knew pizza could take a bit longer to prepare they were actually incredibly quick and it was amazing! One of the best I have ever had and it matches some of the grommet Italian places. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place had nice atmosphere.

Good pizza, took forever to get the kids waffles. Had to take it to go. The Brussel sprouts were tasty.

Good atmosphere and good waffles, ok bacon and basic eggs and decent coffee but the waiter was not very friendly at the bar. Told him I liked his shirt and asked him question about it he just ignored me and asked for orders. It wasn't busy at the bar so wouldn't have hurt to just be a bit social.

Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers in Georgetown offers a farm-inspired American dining experience with a touch of sushi and cocktails, all served in a modern, eco-friendly setting with scenic river views. The restaurant is part of the Farmers Restaurant Group, which is dedicated to supporting American family farmers. Their menu features dishes crafted from scratch using fresh ingredients, including farmhouse sushi, house-made pizzas, mussel pots, and jambalayas.
One of the best dining experiences I have had in a while. Split the seared sushi grade tuna and the Chimichurri skirt steak & chicken enchiladas with a friend. Everything was cooked to perfection but the skirt steak was out of this world amazing! Was able to try several of the spirits they make which was an enjoyable experience. Finished with the peanut butter pie which was also delicious. Almost everything we ordered was a recommendation from our waitress, Miriam; she was a key reason the evening was so amazing. Chris also stopped by our table a few times to check in on us. Will definitely go back when visiting DC again!!

Service: Came with a friend to celebrate her birthday. We had a reservation and were seated quickly, definitely recommend making one, as the place fills up fast. The staff was courteous and helpful, though they only offer a birthday candle (not a free dessert, in case you’re hoping for one). Our waiter was attentive, and the food came out promptly. Taste: We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was great, but the real star was the bread, to die for! Perfectly baked with just the right touch of garlic. For mains, my friend had the fried seafood platter, and I got the crab cake sandwich, both with fries. The seafood tasted fresh and came in generous portions. While the platter could’ve used a touch more seasoning, it wasn’t bad. The crab cake sandwich on brioche was flavorful and definitely worth ordering again. Ambiance: The restaurant has a laid-back yet classy waterfront vibe, perfect for casual celebrations or catching up with friends. The view of the waterfront adds a nice touch, especially if you’re dining during the day. It’s spacious, but does get busy, so reservations are a smart move. Overall Review: Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers offers a solid dining experience with good food, friendly service, and great scenery. Prices are fair for the area, and the location makes it a nice spot to enjoy a meal and walk by the water after. I’d come back, especially for that garlic bread and the crab cake sandwich!

After a long travel day, Founding Farmers Fishers & Bakers in DC hit the spot. The reviews didn't lie--this place is amazing and farm to table. Walk if you can, as parking's can be tough. Our server, Fernando, was fantastic, recommending us to stellar dishes. The steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The fish fry combo was crispy yet light, a perfect balance. Great vibe, excellent service, and hearty food made for a memorable night. Rating: 5/5 - Highly recommend!

We’re regulars at Founding Farmers, and every visit feels like coming back to a place that truly knows us. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comforting, but what keeps us coming back is the outstanding service. Our waitress, Charlise, is absolutely excellent. She remembers details about our preferences from past visits, which makes dining here feel personal and special. It’s rare to find someone so attentive, friendly, and consistent—she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. If you’re looking for great food paired with warm, memorable service, Founding Farmers is the place to be. And if have Charlise as your server, you’ll understand why we keep coming back!

My experience at this Founding Farmers location was so disappointing. I’m a solo traveler from Philly and was so excited when I initially made my reservation. When I arrived to the restaurant prior to ordering with my partner, I notified them a shellfish allergy. I can still have things like regular fish and other seafood but given how busy it was, the managers notified me that they could not accommodate my allergy. I was so shocked. It was my first time in DC and back in Philly, nearly every restaurant I’ve been to has been able to accommodate my allergy. I was so heartbroken. They explained that cross contamination happens a lot and it’s occurs often with how stations are set up in the kitchen. Given how they are a chain, I thought the procedures would be handled in a more organized fashion but I was surprised. The manager at the time directed me to just the pizza and burgers which was such a let down. I won’t lie, I teared up a bit because I was so excited for this to be a highlight of my trip. It was the last meal I was going to have before my two day trip ended. They still served us the salmon farm pressed sushi even though I notified them of my allergy which was a shocker despite how adamant they were of the danger of me having any seafood dish. The sushi was horrifying. It matched the description to a certain extent but as a person of color, seeing it layered like a trifle cake was such a shock and the flavor was so disappointing. Hoison sauce in Chinese and Asian cuisine is never really paired in this way and there was no soy sauce provided. We promptly got the check and I was on the brink of tears leaving. It was such a bummer that such a well known chain had such a poorly managed kitchen that can’t accommodate allergies. Luckily, my partner and I found some mom and pop restaurants that were so accommodating and friendly about my allergy. I made a second visit to DC and found that there are plenty of restaurants that offer better quality food for better price points and felt so much more accommodating. I won’t lie - I felt almost shamed and excluded at Founding Farmers because of my allergy and it really made me think negatively of the food scene in DC.

Variety and quality of food is exceptional. Bonus is the occasional offering of something special, like shrimp or sushi, at your table. Our waiter, Gabriel, was an angel. I had eggs benedict, which was delicious. My new favorite thing is caramelized grapefruit though.

Excellent service from Frederick and Fernando. As customers who can change our mind, Frederick was graceful in moving us to the bar so that we could enjoy the happy hours discount and treats. Fernando served up a beautiful Frozen Gin Cocktail for me which was refreshing and delicious. Our food was good and wholesome. The restaurant was extremely clean and tidy. Staff made a big effort to make you welcome, whilst maintaining the best hygiene standards. Definitely one of the better places I have eating The USA. Thanks Team for a lovely afternoon. We’re on a road trip from Texas to Pennsylvania and stopped in D.C. for two nights. On our last day before heading out (6/30/25), we decided to give Founding Farmers a try for lunch and we’re so glad we did! We ordered the Classic Pepperoni Pizza, the All-American Double Cheeseburger, and the Parmesan Garlic Knots. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Our waiter was amazing...super attentive and kind. The kids even said he had an “ASMR voice,” which they loved, lol! If we’re ever back in D.C., we’ll definitely return. Highly recommend for a fun, tasty, and comfortable dining experience!

Busboys and Poets is a vibrant establishment that serves as a bookstore, coffee shop, and restaurant with a focus on global cuisine. It's known for offering one of the best brunches in Washington DC, featuring classic favorites like fried chicken and waffles alongside unique dishes such as Mekhleme, a Middle Eastern specialty.
This place is a whole vibe!!! The The atmosphere was amazing. You walk into the bookstore and immediately are transported back to the 1960's Harlem Renaissance. The drinks are Langston Hughes themed. There is literally a grand piano on the stage which I briefly played!! We were a party of 21 and they graciously accommodated us. As you can see by the pictures a good time was had by all. I apologize for not getting pictures of everyone's food as I normally would do, but I did capture mine. My understanding is this is one of multiple locations. I can only hold the others are is exquisite as this one. Although I don't ordinarily eat beef, today I tried the egg and cheddar burger and sweet potato fries pictured in my photo. It was cooked medium rare, as I requested, and was amazing.

I had breakfast at Busboys and Poets on both mornings of my trip to DC and walked away extremely satisfied each time. The food was excellent across the board — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The first day I tried the Western Omelette, which was really good, and the next day I had the Chicken Chorizo Egg Wrap, which was amazing. The fruit tasted fresh, and the banana walnut muffin (served warm) was the perfect finishing touch. On top of the great food, the staff was very welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot worth visiting for breakfast in DC!

This is a great restaurant, bookstore, bar and open mic / poetry joint with great music (mostly 90’s of course 😎) Our server, Kevin, was very pleasant and was helpful in educating us on what they are known for and what we could expect from the various menu items. Thank you Kevin. You are appreciated! The vibe was on point! What a chill place to enjoy a meal, bookstore, poetry, some computer time or just a good drink. I definitely recommend stopping in and checking the place out!

This location has a nice cozy layout, defintely for community. Our waitress Courtnee was very pleasant, if I could pick her everytime I would. The food was good except for the omlet it had absolutely no flavor but I guess they would rather the patron season to their own liking so I had to sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper which I never do anywhere. Overall I would come back because I'm a fan of the brand but it wouldn't be my first pick.

Checked off my list of places I wanted to try and was not disappointed. The coffee was amazing and I recommend the two pictured but add vanilla syrup to the matcha, it’s perfect. The food was alright and service was a little slow. The pancake was worth these price so I do recommend one if you choose to go here. The books selection here was also really good. Worth checking out!

the food was fantastic. I had the catfish with collard greens and cheesy grits. The fish was perfectly cooked. The cheesy grits were very cheesy. Collard greens are good. It was a restaurant with a bookstore attached to it. Very cool! Lots of people enjoying reading books and eating food. Later in the evening it was more of a bar than it was a restaurant or bookstore . I was hoping to buy a book when I was there to read with my dinner ,but I was not the correct demographic for the books

Restaurant
Lincoln's Waffle Shop is a classic diner located across the street from Ford's Theatre in downtown DC. It has been a staple of the area for decades and is rumored to have been frequented by Abraham Lincoln himself. The menu offers a variety of breakfast items, including pancakes, waffles, and French toast. In addition to traditional diner fare like eggs and pancakes, they also serve crispy fried chicken and waffles as well as other specials such as country fried steak and sloppy joes.
This was a little gem across the street from Ford's Theater. Don't expect anything fancy or high-end. I would set ego aside and enjoy. It's delicious, fast, and has great service. I got the scrambled eggs with sausage, home fries, and a waffle. My wife got a BLT. Our waiter was very down-to-earth but confident in his food. The cooks were working away, and we got served in just a few minutes. The food was great. The waffle was simple, similar to a Waffle House, but it was tasty. My wife loved the bacon on her BLT. The fast service was nice because we had timed entry for the Ford's Theater across the street. We had plenty of time to spare. If you're in the area and are looking for a reasonable price, short wait times, and great food, we'd highly recommend this place.

It's clear why this place is a local favorite – the welcoming atmosphere and consistently delicious food speak for themselves! We were impressed with how quickly the amazing staff accommodated the crowd and got us to our table. Our breakfast was outstanding: a hearty western omelet with wonderfully seasoned home fries, the classic combination of chicken wings and those amazing thin and crispy waffles, and a solid waffle, egg, and bacon. The waffles truly stood out – the ideal balance of crispiness and softness. Even the coffee was a great start to the meal. This isn't a fancy place, but it's a testament to how great food and genuine customer service can create a beloved neighborhood spot. Highly recommended!

This place is the best place to grab a quick, no frills breakfast. Wonderful dinner setting. Feels just like home! All the staff treat you like you've been going there for years. Was here for a week, and couldn't be bothered to go anywhere else! If you get a chance, and are looking for a great waffle, perfect eggs, and the bacon? *Chef's Kiss*

i visited DC for two days and wanted a cozy informal breakfast that made me feel like i was in a typical american movie. i wanted the whole experience, hot waffles, loud clinging noises from the cutlery, coffee refills, good people. i can happily say that i got it all!!! the waffles were SO GOOD, and the guy that served me was very funny and sweet. i had such a great time and wish i could stay a bit more to revisit :)

Very nice suprise and change of pace from most downtown places. Dont be detoured by the hustle and bustle. The food is really great, especially for the price. The price is a little higher than what is listed on Google but still reasonable. The service was very friendly and on top of things despite the mid-morning rush. They do have about half the restaurant as bar seating, so maybe not the best for a big group or if you are looking for a quiet private atmosphere.

Came across Lincoln’s Waffle Shop on a busy street right where the tour trolleys are parked. Place is definitely not fancy, even dated, but the food was good and service was top notch. Not a fan of waffles but loved their version which was crisp and not too dense. My friend liked his soft and fluffy and they brought one to check if it was what he wanted. Their sausage was tasty although I wish the home fries were better. Definitely a place to go if you’re in the mood for classic, somewhat greasy, comforting food.
Q A — Google review
Do you want a simple and efficient breakfast menu that serves you quickly with home style food and nothing crazy fancy or with a name you can't pronounce? Do you not care about decor or vibe? Then come here! Their food and simplicity is exactly what we needed on a morning out rushing to begin our trip to a museum. Seriously...no frills inside or out... the picture I shared provides a good idea of what you'll find on their menu... things you probably recognize and are easy to whip up. So let the staff at Lincolns take care of you. They are kind, INCREDIBLY fast, and will have you barely finishing your sentence because they likely already know what you want. Don't be offended if they walk away mid sentence... they got you covered 😉 Come here and don't let any other reviewers sway you... the menu offerings are ample and likely exactly what you need to get your day started... only you don't have to make it yourself 😉 and without a long wait!

Local gem that's very easy to miss of youre not looking for it. This place was such a delight to visit. I've been to DC multiple times, and some of the most popular restaurants can be inconsistent. You can tell LWS is no that. The food was made to perfection. Waffle was light and crispy, great flavor, the sausage tasted homemade, and the rest of my food was just like I liked it. I also loved the staff. My waiter, in particular, was so friendly and welcoming. I am adding this place to my top 5 breakfast list and plan to return soon.

Ted's Bulletin is a bustling eatery in Capitol Hill that serves American comfort food and offers breakfast all day. The place is popular, so it's best to arrive early to avoid the brunch crowd. The restaurant has a cozy 1920s/1930s vibe with leather booths and old school movies playing on projection screens.
I had a great experience at Ted's Bulletin. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the blueberry tart, it was the highlight of my meal! The service stood out the most; the staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed throughout our visit. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. Can’t say about other locations but this location is great! The staff here have such good vibes, they made you feel welcomed! Food comes real fast despite the busy lunch hour. We enjoyed our food a lot. Ordered some tarts to go, they are amazing!! Flaky texture and fruit stuffing are so good together. There’s a 5% surcharge, I hope the staff actually get the full amount! If they don’t, they totally deserve a raise!

Amazing Cinnamon Roll. We just stumbled upon this amazing restaurant and ended up coming here 3 days in a row. Their breakfast is great all around. If you’re lucky enough to visit when cinnamon rolls are being served order two ;) they are huge and packed full of flavor, the amount of icing could be more but it’s truly delicious. They have a tasty bakery section and everything I tried was top notch. Service was fast and friendly. Their prices were good and huge portions. Overall if you’re looking for a great meal give them a try or two!

Thank you Mr. Mabi (Sorry I'm winging the spelling). The restaurant was tidy and clean, unfortunately there was some sticky parts on our table, I'll give them 7/10 on that. Talking about the food: I ordered, ● Crispy Calamari: was dilecious but could be crispier. ● Ted's Tomato Soup: dilecious, but also could be better. ● Stovetop Chili Soup: dilecious. ● Steak and Cheese Eggrolls: dilecious ● All American Burger: good but really heavy. ● Szechuan hot chicken sandwich: good but really heavy. ● Steak frites and NY strip: dilecious. ● Ragu Lasagna: was dilecious Food quality was great, survise was really good. Thank you all. Would I come back? Yes, I would.

So good, we went here twice. An amazing chicken sandwich and lobster roll, fresh and delectable. Zach the ginger was a good server. The food was good, but not necessarily great. The gravy had a vinegar taste to it. Biscuits were amazing. Cheese grits. Nope. Stop making them. They taste weird. Prices were reasonable too.

Very pleasant spot! Crashed here twice for a brunch during my short trip to DC. Plenty of options for a meal and drinks, cozy atmosphere to settle in. Zack’s service was pleasant and friendly, really enjoyed his advices. I was with a party of 8 and it was our first visit. The food was delicious, however, I do not believe they are equipped to handle larger parties. We waited quite some time for water, drink orders and food. The servers were walking around as if they did not know which tables to serve. Overall, once we did receive service…..it was good. I would definitely try it again. I ordered the shrimp and crab salad….so delicious!

Founding Farmers Nice place to gather after a busy day viewing museums. The location was easy to find. The Labor Day holiday allowed free and easy access to street parking. The restaurant is spacious and inviting with a nice outdoor patio area. Service was prompt and friendly. Their lunch/ dinner menu was quite extensive. I did wish was that the music was toned down in volume. Their menu was quite extensive and the prices seemed about par for the area. The fried green tomatoes was ok, but I would have liked a lighter touch to the batter that was used. I had the Shrimp and Grits, Andouille which was a bit salty and the portion of grits was quite meager. But everyone completed their meal and were well filled. I hear their brunch is quite popular.

The spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. Had the right amount of heat and flavor. The beignets where a miss. They tasted like a fried donut, very heavy and doughy. Verus a light and fluffy beignet. Service is fast and staff is nice and helpful.

We did brunch buffet this past weekend and to he honest it was alright. We went there 11:30sh and most of the food are not getting refilled or they take long to refill. Location: It is located along Massachusetts Avenue. There is a lot of seatings inside and the main buffet spot is in the middle. Service: the guy served us was good. Food: to be honest the food was alright. It is a hit and missed. Most of the food trays are empty so you have to go back twice or trice to check if they refill it which they don’t. My favorites were the ribs, roast beef, beignet which you must get!!! Otherwise other food is generic. Also not much choices for a $45 dollar buffet. Price rating: 9/10. We pay $110 for 2 people including tips. It is probably worth it if they refill food quickly. Will probably not come back for buffet here, maybe regular menu is better.

Dining experience went well. We had the brunch buffet. The Southern fried chicken and the mashed potatoes were definitely my favorite. There were several items that were overcooked (Chinese fried chicken, bourbon like chicken, fried shrimp, the glazed salmon and catfish. Sacha, our server, was great. She was attentive and knowledgeable. We even tried some a la carte items that we did not really care for (the crab dip). The cheesy buckwheat grits were “different.” They tasted good but the texture was not that of your normal grits.

My husband and I stopped here for an early lunch on a Sunday. There were a few groups waiting to be seated at a table when we walked in, but we were able to find some open seats at the bar. It was very lively with the breakfast/brunch bar, but we decided to order coffees and sandwiches. I got a hot mocha with no whip, while my husband ordered an iced vanilla latte. Both were ridiculously good, nice espresso-forward flavors without being overly sweet. The sandwiches look so unassuming (my husband had the pastrami and I had the turkey BLT), but are huge and sooooo good. Hand cut fries were delicious and the onion rings are massive, yet so soft and crispy! Definitely no biting into these onion rings where the whole onion pulls away from the breading. We both were only able to eat half of our meals at the time, but they also packed well to-go and ate nicely after sitting in the fridge for a bit. Definitely a spot we’ll pop into again when we’re in the area!

This place was okay. The service was a bit shotty because the restaurant is super busy. I could tell that our waiter was a bit irritated sometimes but overall our group had a good experience. I had the drunken noodles but I didn’t feel they were that great. It was very oily and I pretty much only ate the onions and protein in it. The biscuit was really good but they definitely came out cold.

Kafe Leopold, located in Georgetown, offers a slice of Europe with its European fare and all-day coffee-and-drinks bar. The restaurant features a sleek interior and a back alley patio, creating the perfect setting for enjoying their decadent assortment of pastries and crispy schnitzel paired with arugula.
Opting for the outdoor seating, I enjoyed the pleasant ambiance that perfectly complemented the weather. I ordered two sunny side up eggs, which were cooked to perfection, and paired them with their signature hot chocolate, Kakao. The Kakao was rich and flavorful, offering a comforting warmth that enhanced my meal. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, Café Leopard provided a charming atmosphere with delicious offerings. I look forward to returning and trying more from their menu. There were plenty of toilets and very clean as well.

This place used to be a go-to brunch spot when I lived in Georgetown; however, a lot changed since then. My favorite menu, egg in a cup, is replaced with egg on baguette. I was already disappointed there. Avocado toast and poached eggs tasted as expected but nothing extraordinary. Ham and cheese croissant was pretty good. We also ordered lemon pancake, which was the best out of all we ordered today. Lemon pancake was soft but chewy with right balance of lemon hint that stimulated appetite. It was good enough to eat without any butter, syrup, or jam. I tried it with syrup but then it became too sweet. I would recommend that to anyone to give it a try. Overall, still decent option for weekend brunch and enjoy DC/Georgetown vibe.

We've been fans for a long time. The last couple of times (including today, summer solstice), my husband and I enjoyed the very juicy, tasty grilled chicken with an ample side salad of greens and toasted walnuts in a light vinaigrette. We shared the roasted fingerling potatoes. We skipped dessert even though they serve a few of our favorites anywhere in DC. Sometimes we get a side of spinach. Lex was our friendly server on his 1st night. We had enough time to chat - he's a man with a fascinating background and an easy laugh. Sit outside if the weather's good, inside is fine, too. Leopold is tucked back from busy M street so it's always more relaxing than much of Georgetown.

This is my second time coming to Kafe Leopold and it did not disappoint!! Previously, I stumbled upon this delicious brunch spot with some girlfriends, but today I found myself inside after a long shopping day. I ate l one of the largest portions of mussels + frites I’ve ever had, followed by a perfectly brewed coffee and a small dessert to go. Whether you are coming for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the food here is positively divine. Moreover, the price of the food is a steal after considering quality and portion size. It seems hard these days to find fresh food at a good price, so Kafe Leopold is a must when shopping on M street! I recommend the sea bass, any salad, or the mussels

Kafe Leopold is a gem of a place for casual lunch, brunch or early dinner. Classic Austrian/Belgian bistro fare with Schnitzel, branzino, mussels, and French fries. Crowd is mostly internationals living in DC. Nice upscale casual vibe. Patio is perfect - quite away from the Main Street of Georgetown. Highly recommend for a casual bite on weekend.

Went for a friend’s bday brunch. Atmosphere is nice and airy with good lighting. Outdoor seating area has a cute water fountain. Food was good but avocado toast was lack luster. It came deconstructed with poached eggs in a jar and odd air fryer bacon. Would recommend French toast which was huge and very delicious.

Table Talk Restaurant is a beloved family-friendly spot in Alexandria, offering classic American diner fare in a relaxed setting. The menu features an array of options including salads, sandwiches, breakfast classics, and daily specials. With a private dining room accommodating up to 17 guests, it's ideal for gatherings and special occasions. Known for its famous biscuits and gravy, fresh seafood, and perfectly cooked steaks, this eatery is popular among locals and visitors alike.
Fantastic breakfast spot with homemade food, cozy atmosphere with great staff like Nick, dating back 50 years. It’s an unpretentious restaurant sticking to core breakfast items, sandwiches and some items like VA ham unique to the Commonwealth. I’ve been coming here for 20 years, and there are many regulars. I love the pancakes, bacon, coffee, and home fries! Also, great chicken wings, biscuits and gravy, and my family loves their omelettes or poached egg Benedict’s. Don’t expect anything too fancy here, but expect a great breakfast

I had a wonderful breakfast at Table Talk with two work colleagues while we were in Alexandria. It's a lovely little restaurant with a great, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the classic American breakfast of eggs, hash and bacon with a coffee, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic from start to finish - the staff were friendly and incredibly attentive. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again. A great spot for a bite to eat.

Definitely a place we would go back to. Food was good as well as service. We went for breakfast only. Prices were reasonable and portions satisfactory. Ended up going there for breakfast everday on our visit vs eating the hotal breakfast. Highly recommend.

Don't let the cheese on top of the omelette fool you. I got the garbage omelette that comes with mushroom, peppers, bacon, sausage, ham and cheese. I opted out of the ham but it was delicious. You should definitey try this omelette if you are a fan of them. It was very tasty and I would get this again if ever in the area. The parking lot is a shaped a bit strange but there is a good amount of parking available. I would recommend this restaurant.

I ordered a steak at Table Talk restaurant, but it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The taste was terrible — I couldn’t even finish it and only took a few bites. I still paid the full bill with tip, but I will never come back to this place again.

Silver Diner is a regional chain that offers classic American diner fare with a modern twist. The Arlington location recently moved to Ballston, featuring a patio, free parking, and a full bar. Their menu includes traditional favorites like the Lumberjack Breakfast and pickle-brined fried chicken paired with pecan waffles.
What a great experience, the food is wonderful and fast. Service is great and it's a very large place. I had the Huevos rancheros and may be the best I've had. My wife had the classic eggs Benedict which she loved. The restaurant is very clean and has pretty cool vibes. They also have an outside patio area, which looks really cool, but it was too hot to be outside. Parking is easy they have a garage behind the restaurant and the validate parking which is really cool. They have a very large menue that you can order lunch and dinner items even at breakfast which I like. I will definitely be back!! I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

Stopped in for a casual brunch at the Silver Diner in Arlington. The vibe is classic diner with a modern twist -- clean, family-friendly, thought not busy at all during weekday hours. We started with the cheese fries, which came out somewhat cool and not well portioned, and a bit on the salty side. For mains, we had the Lumberjack pancakes and the California omelette. The pancakes were fluffy and filling, though nothing particularly standout. The omelette was fresh and well-prepared, with the avocado and salsa giving it a nice flavor boost. We also ordered a side of vegetables, which was a nice lighter option to balance out the meal. Service was polite and efficient, though there were a few moments where we had to flag someone down for reminders. Overall, it was a solid, no-frills meal. Good for a casual breakfast or brunch if you're in the area, but not necessarily a destination spot.

We went for breakfast, but unfortunately the food didn’t meet our expectations. Everything was served cold, and the pancakes were quite dry. That said, the service was lovely, our waiter Amer was really nice and friendly, which we appreciated. Here are my ratings: • Oat milk protein pancakes 5/10 • Buttermilk pancakes and eggs 7/10 • Ginger turmeric lemon juice 6/10 (mostly tasted like turmeric and felt watered down) • Kid’s pancake 6/10

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious. I ordered the Double Chicken Penne Pasta and it was flavorful, and satisfying. Our server Cindy was excellent too. Said is exceptional, and I would definitely come back because of his outstanding service. Highly recommended! 💯👏

I will never come back here. We were on our way to a memorial and hoped for a warm meal beforehand. I never leave bad reviews but this place deserves it. If you ask for a basic coffee beverage, expect it to be coffee water. If you ask for well done, expect it to be red-raw meat. One of the other drinks was served in a sticky glass. If you ask for any mistakes to be rectified, expect the poor customer service to worsen. Don't waste your hard earned money here. They don't want it.

Unconventional Diner is an industrial-chic bistro and bar located inside the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, offering upscale comfort fare, coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails. Chef David Deshaies puts a creative spin on classic diner entrees like chicken and waffles with habanero butter or Caribbean-style shrimp and grits with Pineapple-Habanero Sauce.
Fantastic experience at the Unconventional Diner! The menu lives up to the name with tons of different cuisines represented in the dishes (very unconventional… I’ve never eaten at a restaurant with this much variety). Everything we had was delicious. I loved the Lebanese fried rice and the meatloaf is the best meatloaf I’ve ever tried. The chicken pot pie poppers were also quite tasty. Our server was very nice and brought out a fun birthday surprise for me (thankfully no singing!). I would absolutely eat here again… highly recommend!

What a great brunch's spot. Love the vibes, gives old fashioned diner with modern twist. Their plates even look like paper plates, but they're ceramic. The service was fabulous. It took a little while to get hot coffee but that is my only negative. We ordered the blueberry lavender pancakes, sexy sandwich, and the loaded biscuits. The pancakes were delicious. My favorite savory option was the sexy sandwich, the sexy sauce is delicious. Will absolutely be back again!

Absolutely Delicious. What should you order: Anything! This place has delicious food across the whole menu. We ended up coming two day in a row as it was that tasty. The loaded breakfast biscuits were crazy flavorful. My wife loved the pancakes, which were top notch. The star of the show was the chocolate cake, which may be the best Chocolate cake I’ve ever eaten. Overall come here hungry and leave super happy!

Unconventional Diner really lived up to the hype. The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and welcoming throughout the whole visit. I tried the chicken and waffles for the first time and I wouldn’t regret that choice one bit. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and tender, and the sauce tied everything together so well. What really elevated the dish was the butter, it had scallions in it and that extra touch made a big difference. Their fresh orange juice was the perfect drink to go with morning routine. Definitely one of those places you remember and want to come back to. Great food, great vibes, and great people.

It was a pleasant experience, the atmosphere was nice and welcoming. The host and waiters were super friendly, super nice. The restaurant was tidy and clean, unfortunately there was a dirty glass which they changed with a plastic cup, I'll give them 8/10 on that. Talking about the food: I ordered, ● Chiken & waffles: was below average, came really dry and flavorless, very sad. ● Greek Full dead salad with Salmon: was ok, the Salmon was a little over. ● French dip poutine: was good but really heavy. ● Cajun Srimp & Grits: was dilecious. ● Double cheese Burger & Frise: was ok, could be better. The fries are really good. ● Buttermilk pancakes: was to the dry side, but it was ok. The Srawbarry and Brownie cakes area really dilecious. Food quality was ok, survise was really good though. Thank you Carlos. Would I come back? Yes, I would.
Monear Q — Google review
We had an awesome brunch at Unconventional Diner. The food was cooked perfectly and so tasty. I ordered the loaded breakfast biscuits, which reminded me a bit of a Hawaiian loco moco. The sausage on them was spicy, super flavorful, and clearly homemade or locally sourced, not the generic, pre-packaged stuff. Every bite was rich and satisfying. We also tried the crème brûlée French toast. It came as one thick slice of brioche with a layer of custardy crème brûlée and a crackly sugar topping. I expected it to be overwhelmingly sweet, so I was a little nervous at first, but it was actually perfectly balanced. The sweetness was just right and paired really well with the brioche, giving it a great mix of sweet and savory. On the side, the cheesy grits were fantastic, creamy, comforting, and full of flavor. Overall, I’d definitely go back and would happily recommend Unconventional Diner to any of my friends looking for a great brunch spot.

I found this gem when searching for the best brunch restaurants in DC before my visit. Everything on the menu sounds great, so it was hard to decide. We got the Lebanese Fried Rice with Falafel and the S"Eggs"y Sandwich - both were amazing! I almost didn’t get the fried rice because I was leaning toward breakfast food, but I’m glad I got it! The spices and the yogurt sauce with the veggies in the fried rice were delicious, bursting with flavor! The falafel was perfect - crisp on the outside with a soft and flavorful inside - SO good!! The ambiance is beautiful inside and outside. I highly recommend going for any meal - breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

The breakfast was absolutely perfect, with large portions that left us completely satisfied. The service was impressively fast, which made the experience even better. We chose to sit outside, but unfortunately, the cold weather slightly diminished the overall comfort of our meal. Love the setup in the restaurant. Wait time was a little long, but definitely worth the wait. The croissant was flaky, soft and buttery I might add. The bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection.

Truly some of the best buns as they supply bread to so many different restaurants around the area. Even from outside, one can smell the bread being baked and we couldn't help but go outside. Later in the day, one's options are more limited, but they still had a great selection. The staff were incredibly kind and helped provide suggestions on what to get. I opted for a whole loaf of monkey bread and it was sublime, but next time I'll be trying one of their massive cupcakes!

Best Buns has been in business since before I discovered it in 1997. They are the real deal. The quality, consistency and value of their products is unmatched in this region. There are other bakery cafes that may have a couple of good products but at Best Bens every item is amazing. They seem to retain staff for years or decades and are always pleasant and kind. They were especially thoughtful when my spouse’s father passed and their kindness will always be remembered. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, takeout, holidays or catering. Thank you for being a highlight in NOVA.

Bread Furst is a bustling bakery located in Van Ness, offering a wide variety of gourmet bread, pastries, cakes, and coffee. The team of seven bakers at this five-year-old establishment churns out an array of dark and crusty loaves including corn rye, multigrain, walnut raisin, rye teff, brioche, baguettes and more.
In all honesty, the chocolate cookies are ok. What makes this reviews five stars is the almond croissant. It was absolutely phenomenal. The croissant was flaky and buttery, and there was a plenty of almond frangipane inside. Also, the Cookie Roberts (shortbread with pecans) is very, very good. A lot of other good-looking baked goods and breads as well. We’ve also enjoyed pies from there before, and they were very good (got blueberry and peach). Great location and friendly service to go with their gourmet market, and you’ve got yourself a neighborhood favorite.
Steve C — Google review
Group of friends got lunch here and sat at the outside tables on a glorious weekday. Apparently the fresh loaves of bread are fabulous but lunch is mediocre. My premade beet salad with walnuts and gorgonzola and lots of fresh greens was tasty but the oatmeal cherry cookie was poor: overcooked and dry, zero taste of cherry and way too salty. A friend with the ham and cheese baguette said the baguette was fabulous but the meager portion of ham and cheese left him feeling as if he was just eating bread. Others who had gotten the bagel and lox were not impressed with the bagel nor the lox nor the other items on the bagel such as the mildly pickled red onion slice.
Carolyn F — Google review
Don’t order the runny egg unless you know you like a barely cooked scrambled egg that’s pooling in liquid. The English muffin or bagel gets drenched and soggy. And I like my scrambled eggs not fully cooked, but this is another level. We mentioned how both my wife and I couldn’t eat it to two of the staff and they were like “yeah, it’s called a messy egg, duh.” It’s even worse with the cheese - too salty. And the mashed avocado isn’t good either. Nor is the homemade lox. And the Counter Culture coffee isn’t amazing either. I don’t often write reviews like this, it’s just my 5th time giving these sandwiches a chance because I love this neighborhood gem and hold out hope I might like their breakfast as a treat once in a while. I love the retail options (though expensive) and the baked goods are great, which is why I gave 4 stars. And it’s expensive. And want to warn people away from the messy egg unless you know it’s your thing!
Kathleen B — Google review
My uncle picked up plain and chocolate croissants for me to try. Place was crowed and outdoor seating is limited. Most disappointed that my croissants were on the burnt side. For a popular bakery I was not happy. From what I can tell seems like a very good quality set of ingredients, but to over bake pastries is just unacceptable. Chocolate chip Cookies were good and chewy. They offer wide variety of baked goods to try.
A H — Google review
Got the Ube Matcha which was very good, but it is on the sweeter side if you like that. I got a bagel with eggs and cheddar and the eggs were literally liquid. Couldn’t finish it because I felt I was eating raw eggs and definitely not my style. The bagel itself was good and the people working there were nice
Paola O — Google review
Bread Furst is a true DC gem on Connecticut Avenue. The quality of everything—from the flaky pastries to the savory prepared foods—is exceptional. My favorites are the canelés and baguettes, which are on par with the best boulangeries in France. They also carry an excellent selection of European wines and gourmet delicacies that transport you straight to a market in Paris. Prices are definitely on the higher side, so it’s more of a Sunday indulgence than a daily stop—but always worth it.
Aari L — Google review
A dry and pre-made sandwich can be yours for $15! You won’t know that when ordering though- prices are hidden for everything. Looking for mayo/pickles/onions? Good luck - no add-ons available! The good news is the service - the cashiers seem to be wise to the fact that this place is a complete tourist trap, if only I had done more research beforehand. Definitely skip!

Yeah I thought the food was pretty good. But here’s why the review is low. Our waiter took lowkey forever to wait on us. It’s Sunday at 3pm and pretty lowkey. I feel like she didn’t really understand what we were asking? I asked about the burrito size and she looked confused. My friend asked for a modification for the Coupe bowl and she still looked confused? Definitely felt like she rolled her eyes a few times. I liked the aesthetic of the restaurant but it just felt awkward. At the end when we were tipping I felt like we were being watched how much we were tipping. Still tipped the full 20% but it was just an off putting dining experience.

I absolutely love this little gem! I’ve dined in and used DoorDash for my orders. They never disappoint! Food is fresh and well-prepared. My only issue (occasionally) has been the parking. This recommendation from Odd Provisions did not disappoint. It was a beautiful day, friendly staff and great food. The Fried Green Tomatoes were perfect......nice crisp crust and a thick, firm slice. I didn't even miss the sauce, the topping was light and fresh. The Shrimp & Grits were very good, just enough spice against those creamy, cheesy grits. The Veggie burger was a big hit and very filling. My mom said "finally a burger that wasn't all starch or just straight 'shrooms", lol, and very filling. Looking towards the next visit.

Nestled along the waterfront at Union Street, Hummingbird Bar and Kitchen is a chef-owned gem in Old Town that draws inspiration from coastal traditions. The restaurant offers a light and airy ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating, providing picturesque views of the waterfront. The menu features regional American cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, including salmon croquettes, grilled octopus, Chesapeake Bay Stew, Lobster Lemon Linguine, and raw bar options such as a caviar platter.
It’s at the back of the Indigo hotel, harder to find from the street, easier from the waterside. It’s a nice spot next to the river with large windows for great views. They also have outside dining that is just as nice, if not better. I started at the bar with some drinks, then went outside and enjoyed the weather with some appetizers. Everything was great, the bar staff were exceptional, food was delicious and the staff were attentive. It’s a great place to get some drinks and a meal, of a great spot to start out before you head out in Old Town.

Went for summer restaurant week. I appreciated the flexibility of their restaurant week menu and the outdoor seating with view of the river was lovely. The food was good and fresh but was pretty standard American fare. Nothing stood out as spectacular but was tasty overall. There were vegetarian options for all the courses. Service was a bit slow between the 1st and 2nd course. I think there may have been an issue because after a certain point service seemed to pick up for all the tables.
Kayt S — Google review
False advertising?! Dining out is never by chance for me. I have studied the menu, read the reviews, and planned out my health conscious meal during the day to be ready to indulge at the restaurant. Sadly, all my research fell short for Hummingbird. Apparently there is a Monday “special menu” that is limited and also has features not available other days. I went tonight with my heart set on the whole grilled fish and hush puppies that I reviewed on the website multiple times. Not available. I still wanted fish, and there was a salmon linguine option. This dish is only offered on Mondays. It was flavorful but heavier than I wanted for the evening. I was clearly upset, however the food was still good, giving the 4 star review. Salmon linguine: 5/5 crispy skin. Lemon cream sauce that was the perfect tang. Spring salad: 5/5 fresh light salad. The spiced pecans were a great bonus. Hummingbird Cake: got this to go! Great and moist. If you do not like banana this is not the dessert for you. The Monday night menu is a great option as there is a 3 course meal for $40! But again, many of the standouts that I heard and wanted to try were not available. I would go back on another night to try those. Apparently there is a happy hour as well. The menu is not posted online, but there is mention of it in the timing, unlike the Monday menu. Nice patio view looking at the water. As the sun went down, there were a few mice as noted in other reviews. I feel like this could be motivated but also you are sitting outside. Idk! Great service.

Hummingbird Bar + Kitchen was our wedding venue for both the ceremony and reception. We booked with them in Feb. 2025 for an October 2025 wedding, and in those ~8 months, we probably emailed back and forth with Kenneth 100 times. He is a 5 star Event & General Manager - so patient with us, answering all our questions, and filling our requests. The setting was perfect, the staff set up and tore down the entire space for our event, and they were incredibly attentive, kind, and professional throughout. Our guests raved about the food, the hummingbird cake, and the setting along the Potomac river. The location was incredibly convenient for us and our guests - many who stayed upstairs in Hotel Indigo or nearby, walking distance, and everyone enjoyed the charm of visiting Old Town, Alexandria. Our wedding was such a special day, and while there are a lot of reasons for that - we are so happy that it happened at Hummingbird. Thank you, Kenneth, to you and your staff for making it happen.

I visited during Restaurant Week and had the three-course menu. The food was decent—good, but nothing that really stood out. Portion sizes were fair. The service, however, left something to be desired. Cocktails took an unusually long time to arrive, and overall attentiveness from the staff was lacking. We chose to sit outside, but unfortunately that experience was overshadowed by a noticeable number of mice running around the patio area, which really ruined the atmosphere. Also worth noting: the restaurant isn’t directly on the water—it’s set back a bit, so don’t expect true waterfront dining.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Hummingbird, and we can’t say enough about how wonderful this venue was! From the very beginning, Kenneth, the event coordinator, was exceptionally responsive and communicative, taking the time to quickly and thoroughly answer all of our questions and ensure he was able to make our wedding vision come to life. For a smaller to mid-sized wedding reception, there is plenty of space in Hummingbird. The floor to ceiling windows give you a beautiful view of the Potomac and the space flows out nicely to an open patio. The food and service were also excellent, with several of our guests particularly noting how good the short ribs and crab cakes were! Planning a wedding can be stressful, and reserving Hummingbird, and working with Kenneth, made the whole process so much more seamless and enjoyable. My parents also worked with Hummingbird and Kenneth to host a goodbye brunch the day after our reception, which turned out perfectly! Our guests loved being able to celebrate with us in such a gorgeous, unique venue, and we’ll always be so appreciative to Hummingbird and Kenneth for helping to provide us with a perfect wedding weekend!

Had our wedding at Hummingbird and couldn't be happier with our decision. Kenneth is a pro's pro and he and his staff are extraordinary. We were able to buy out the restaurant and side patio for over 6 hours and celebrate our ceremony, dinner, reception all under one roof (with the bonus of hosting our guests at the attached Hotel Indigo). Planning a wedding without coordinators was stressful until we started to meet with Kenneth. He and his staff swiftly took care of all the behind the scenes details from menu selection, setup, teardown, food and drink service, and coordinating with our vendors like our DJ with setup and all associated questions / needs they had. We brought our own decor and Kenneth not only decorated the entire venue but made the vision come to life better than we ever expected. Can't forget about the food. Almost every guest at our wedding commented that our dinner was one of the best they've had at a wedding which would have made our decision to book at Hummingbird worth it alone (the amish chicken especially was a hit). The bar service was incredible as well. Kenneth designed 2 killer signature cocktails that not only fit our theme but were possibly more well-received than dinner. We want to thank all the good people at Hummingbird one last time for hosting our family and friends. They made our wedding as special as possible and I can't recommend them enough. We'll be back for dinner regularly!

Thomas and Tonya are awesome! They greeted me as soon as I walked in, with smiles and pleasant vibes! The manager, Ken, recommended this cool drink called CAMPING. Was delicious… like a Smokey, s’mores, old fashioned. Great experience. Next time I’m in old town, I will be back here first!!!

The Market Lunch is a bustling counter-serve eatery located in Eastern Market, Capitol Hill. It has been a local institution for over 40 years, drawing crowds with its hearty American breakfasts and satisfying lunch classics like fried chicken sandwiches and hamburgers. The owner, Tommy Glasgow, has deep roots in the market and serves up delicious seafood platters alongside breakfast staples like blueberry pancakes and creamy grits.
I love The Market Lunch! I’ve been coming here since 2016. My go to meal is the pancakes and a side piece of whiting. I use to go multiple times throughout the week and ended up building a rapport with the staff. They’re so sweet! I didn’t go for almost 3 years and upon me returning they still recognized me. The owner is super nice too, he pops in every now and again. I did try something different today, the avocado sandwich. I wasn’t a fan! It was very dry. It was a thin layer of avocado spread, one fried egg, two slices of tomatoes and spinach. I’m sure someone may like it, it’s just not for me. It lacked flavor and I’m glad I ordered the mix drink because I was very parched while eating the sandwich. I won’t get it again. I’ll stick to what I know. Oh, the crab cake is good too!

I was actually excited for the buckwheat blue berry pancakes. Am a big pancake fan, I don’t do cheat meals and usually stick to eating at home. So I do have high standards. These were okay. They were fine. Not bad but I have had better ones. So much better.

Stopped in for lunch on a mission for a crab cake. Ordered the 2 crab cake plate with fried green tomato and coleslaw. Crab cake - 4/5 nice size, real lump crab little fillers. Beautiful crust. Seasoned. Satisfying. Could use a little lemon juice or remoulade sauce. I didn't care for theirs- Tarter just okay Green tomatoes-4/5 Good breading and flavor. Coleslaw -4/5 good solid coleslaw Roll- 4/5

I ❤️ this place! When I have guests visit DC, this is where I take them before a day of sightseeing. This time, I had buck wheat blue berry pancakes. Which sounds simple, but they're exceptional! Buy so is their crab cake Benedict and chicken and waffles. It's hard to go wrong here. Check the blackboard for daily specials. Be warned on weekends, the line can be really long. I suggest going early. They open at 8AM, I think. Also, the only seating is a communal table or the picnic tables outside. Then go walk it off and enjoy the rest of Eastern Market.

Absolutely delicious!!! A must try! The line might seem long but the staff is great, great service and fast as well.
Vanessa A — Google review
Excellent food with a food hall food truck-style vibe, with an excellent, but pricey, à la carte basic short-order breakfast menu. Service can be slow. Although it's not a brick and mortar restaurant, the menu prices should be lower, considering the low overhead and labor costs inside the market. The Eastern Market and Capitol Hill neighborhoods are now affluent enclaves, but there are ways to work around this to achieve the lowest imported labor costs, which, in theory, should be passed on to the customer. Nevertheless, this is an excellent tourist attraction, worth a visit, perhaps once a year for locals, or monthly if you have the means to do so.

May 19, 2024 Ashley and I walked to Eastern Marker in D.C. We went to the The Marker Lunch and got a crab cake platter, I then got some local cold brew and Ashley got some local juice. After we took the Metro to see the Washington Mystics vs Seattle Storm at the Entertainment and Sports Arena!

What a great experience. The gentlemen in the cashier is great! He is super funny and gives you the best suggestions, so you better listen to him :p We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food is delicious: the crab cake Benedict it’s amazing... They are famous for the blueberry pancakes (delicious as well). The service is great, very nice staff, convenient location and good prices. FYI: This place is cash only, so be prepared :)

Had a great time! My wife took me here for their Sunday brunch buffet as a birthday treat. Upon walking downstairs, you are right in the middle of it. The staff are friendly, personable, and welcoming. I don't remember his name, but the man behind the taco bar was gregarious and kind. It's always a joy to find people that enjoy their work and their customers. :) Also, a shout to Shalanda at the omelet station, and our waiter, Youssef, who made our brunch particularly fun. Don't forget about the dessert room, hidden on the other side of the seating area, and there are some items that they prepare from the kitchen (e.g., waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict) that you order through the waiter. A wonderful experience -- thank you!

What a great experience! A wonderful place to have brunch with friends. There's a TV on one side so you don't miss any sports. There's a nice patio. The food is amazing. This is a perfect place for a very nice brunch. I would suggest making reservations for big holidays and events as I'm sure it fills up quickly. The dessert room.... (That's right they have a whole room for desserts) is on point. Wow! I have attached pictures of our trip. Make sure you see the Audemars wall clock.

I am a repeat customer of Four Seasons Washington DC. My server/waitress Maricris is the best waitress I have ever seen. Maracis is exceptional at her job. If I am unable to get her probably I will make reservations on another day she is working. The food was first class but the service was 5 stars. Maricris and her team always make me and my 8-plus guests feel special and very important. I will continue to frequent this beautiful restaurant because of Maricris 's superior food/service skills.

I took my Mom to tea for her 60th birthday and it was amazing. The sandwich selection was excellent and they swapped out everything that could trigger my Mom's shell fish allergy. They had the only egg salad sandwich I've ever liked, it was a more modern take. They also gave her a special fruit bowl with a candle, they gave us fruits because we already had so many pastries, a good call on the servers part. The server was also great and made my Mom feel very special. The server also came by with two extra pastries at the end. One of the better afternoon teas I've had. The only thing that would make me hesitant to come again is that they only have 4 teas to choose from.

Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, Boulangerie Christophe is a charming French bakery that transports you straight to Paris with its delightful offerings. Known for its flaky croissants and an array of pastries, this cozy spot also serves up delicious crepes and savory waffles that are perfect for breakfast or brunch. The inviting atmosphere features both indoor seating and a lovely outdoor courtyard, making it ideal for enjoying your favorite treats al fresco.
Boulangerie Christophe is a charming little gem conveniently tucked just off Wisconsin Ave NW in Georgetown. This cozy French pastry shop consistently delivers some of the most delicious and authentic French pastries in the area. There can be a short wait at times, especially during peak hours, but the friendly and efficient staff keeps the line moving smoothly. Inside, the ambiance is warm and welcoming, and there’s also a cute little seating area out back—perfect for enjoying a croissant and coffee al fresco. Prices are reasonable, especially considering this is one of the few truly excellent French pastry spots around. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Georgetown and craving something sweet!

This bakery is outstanding. The croissants are buttery and perfectly flaky, the sandwiches are fresh and full of flavor, and the pastries are some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything tastes high-quality and made with care. A must-visit
Olga N — Google review
I made the mistake of going here on a busy Friday and naturally could not get my preferred seat. But the staff and the food made up for this in hospitality and flavour. The onion soup was the perfect blend of cheesy savoury goodness, and the pain au chocolat left me with no regrets! I do recommend going here on a quieter weekday if you’re particular about seating.
Lalremruati — Google review
Went here for an early brunch. I got a croissant, which was a bit stale and also reminded me of a Costco packaged croissant. The service was ok. The atmosphere was great however, and the outdoor patio had gentle chatter and pretty decor. Otherwise, I do believe there are better croissants out there.
Melodic K — Google review
The best thing about this restaurant is the delicious food. The atmosphere is cozy, but it’s not very laptop-friendly. The chairs inside aren’t comfortable, and while the outdoor seating is nicer, you can’t use your laptop if you need to charge since there are no outlets available. The service is fairly standard, but the food is excellent. However, I don’t like that whether you dine in or take away, drinks are served in paper cups, it doesn’t quite match the French café atmosphere.
Arefeh G — Google review
We got a beautiful medium sized fruit tart for my mom's birthday brunch. She loved it! We got several other pastries. I especially loved the spinach ricotta croissant. My dad had am iced coffe that swayed him away from the sugar bomb iced coffee at McDonald's. They have a charming outdoor seating area that isn't along the curb like other places. This is a gem in Georgetown and will be a sure stop whenever I visit.

Happy Hour is from 4 to 7 pm, Mon - Fri. Went for Happy Hour and you can get a lot of food for a good price. Overall, the food was good, though it was slightly cold. There was barely any people in the restaurant on a Monday at 6, so the kitchen wasn't heating the food up properly. However, despite it being a little cold, it was yummy. Service was good too, had a really friendly waitress. I definitely recommend coming here for Happy Hour food! I didn't try the drinks so can't comment on that.

Don Titos Bar & Food is hands-down one of the best spots in the area! The atmosphere is always lively, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are top-notch. What really sets this place apart, though, is the service — especially from Jessica behind the bar. Jessica is absolutely amazing! She’s quick, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome the moment you sit down. Her energy lights up the bar, and she has a way of remembering exactly what you like. Every cocktail she makes is spot on, and you can tell she takes real pride in her craft.

Jess is the reason I come in every Thursday! She’s an amazing bartender who always remembers my go-to order but still checks in to see if I’d like to try something new. Her attention to detail and friendly personality make every visit a great experience. The food is also a huge plus—the wings during happy hour are always a favorite, the tacos (on and off happy hour) are amazing, and the nachos aren’t on happy hour but are absolutely worth it. Great drinks, great food, and the best service thanks to Jess!

Patisserie Poupon is a cozy, French-inspired cafe with a coffee bar that has been using traditional French techniques since 1986. Their experienced pastry chefs handcraft every treat with the freshest ingredients, offering a variety of mouthwatering cake flavors and miniature French pastries. Known for their authentic and aesthetically beautiful French tartes, this bakery is popular among sophisticated palates. With locations in Baltimore and Washington D.C.
Pâtisserie Poupon is one of the best bakeries I’ve been to in the US. The pastries are top-quality, and their chocolate eclair is the best eclair I’ve ever had. Their selection of coffee and pastries is wide and very authentic to France. The coffee is well-priced, and the prices of the pastries well-reflect their quality. Bullfrog Bagels is a New York-style bagel pop-up located inside Star & Shamrock, serving chewy and hot bagels with various toppings like cream cheese, lox, pastrami, and whitefish salad. They take pride in using high-quality ingredients and have three locations in the D.C. area. Customers rave about the delicious flavors and quality of their fresh bagels, making it a popular choice for breakfast or quick bites on-the-go.
I love stopping by Bullfrog bagels on the weekend, before checking out Eastern Market. I always get the turkey, egg, avocado, cheese on an everything bagel. Their bagels are always fresh and delicious. Costumer service is always great here; never had a bad experience. There is a little wait, when ordering on the weekends because the food is A+.

3/5 Bacon, egg, and cheese bagel: it was pretty bland and for $7 small. The ingredients did taste fresh and the egg was cooked nicely, but overall just nothing too crazy. Atmosphere: 5/5 The roof rooftop deck is definitely a 5/5. It’s cute and offers a nice space to read or talk. Upstairs has a bar/ lounge vibe too
Vincent ➐ — Google review
Love the bagels. Good service. Not the biggest fan of their atmosphere inside. Been here a few times. The bagels are definitely worth the trip! Only one real complaint- the bagels are small.
Sarah M — Google review
The most attractive thing about Bullfrog Bagels is definitely the location — tucked right into Eastern Market, it’s a convenient stop for locals and tourists alike. There are a few other spots nearby for breakfast or a sandwich, but not as many as you might expect, which makes Bullfrog a natural choice. Pricing felt fair: a cup of tea and a bagel with cream cheese came to $7. Service was suitable — nothing memorable but efficient enough. As for the bagel itself, it was a bit underwhelming. Dense, not particularly warm or toasted, and more reminiscent of what you might find at the grocery store than a specialty shop. It met the need, but didn’t stand out.
Laura K — Google review

The courtyard features igloos perfect for outdoor dining, and the menu offers unique dishes not found at the traditional dining room. From 8am to 2:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays, brunch is served in the igloos.
I wasn't feeling well due to a car ride. We are staying at this hotel and needed a dinner spot. I am SO grateful that King & Rye was attached and right downstairs. It was phenomenal. Redone was our server i asked for recommendations and he was so pleasant. We had the deviled eggs and the mussels. The deviled eggs were good but those mussels were amazing and out of this world. Then we opted for the sirloin and man...It was perfect. The seasoning was perfect and cooked at the perfect medium rare. I shared...i wish I hadn't I was so close to order just another steak. My husband got the pimento mac & cheese ,added crawfish. That was amazing. This restaurant, I highly recommend. Service was on point and ask for our server. He was so kind.

Our server did an amazing job. I have gluten sensitivity, and though they do not have a gluten-free brunch menu, the server was well versed in the ingredients and substitution options. I don't think I'll come back for brunch but I will be back this winter for their igloo rentals. They have themed cocktails to go with each igloo. In my opinion their dinner menu is much better than brunch.

3.5/5 Visited during restaurant week on a weekday evening. Easy to make reservations via OpenTable and was quickly seated upon checking in. We were seated in the dining area near the kitchen and patio and the area was a little dark. Restaurant Week menu was $40 for appetizer/dessert and entree. I chose the deviled eggs for appetizer and pan seared trout for entree as well as Brussels sprouts. The food was very good with hefty portions. I really enjoyed the deviled eggs with the hint of spice as well as the candied Brussels sprouts. Food came out in a very timely manner on a busy evening. At the beginning of our dining experience our server was very helpful with recommendations however our server did not check on us much throughout the evening. Our food was brought by other team members as well as our bill. Great restaurant week deal for food portions and flavors. Nearby paid street parking $$

Colada Shop is a charming spot located in the U Street corridor, offering Cuban coffee and cuisine. The cafe has a gated patio where you can enjoy your coffee and food with your furry friend. Visitors praise the smooth Cafe Cubano and flavorful lattes. The menu also includes enticing food options like empanadas and Cuban sandwiches. At The Wharf location, guests enjoyed traditional Pina Coladas with Bacardi Ocho float along with delicious empanadas and Cuban sandwiches.
As another stated, this was some of the freshest, best tasting coffee I've had (cappuccino). Ordered the breakfast sandwich and breakfast plate. Both were good. Returned the next day and tried the beef and chicken empanadas. Both were good but the chicken tasted better. Also tried a guava/cream cheese pastry. It was OK.

I feel a little mean writing this, but this restaurant wouldn't last a year in business in Miami or NYC. It could only last in a city with minimum competition for cuban restaurants. The ambiance is nice and the menu boasts impressive options. We got cuban sandwiches and I got the new shrimp special. Also ordered a mango tea. The mango tea was the biggest disappointment. It was just a plain black tea, zero flavor whatsoever outside of black tea. The shrimp dish came with a salad with no dressing or seasoning and yucca fries. Yucca fries were good, but I asked for aioli and they completely forgot about it, and it took 10 minutes to get the waitress to notice us again as we were generally ignored. It definitely affected our eating experience to be ignored for so long. The shrimp was a disappointment as they used the lowest quality tiny cocktail shrimp. It would have been so much better if they used large shrimp. The cuban sandwich was good but frankly, the one at Casta's rum bar is better. Would not return.

Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is a warm and inviting spot that offers a variety of breakfast options, light meals, and homemade sweet treats alongside specialty coffee. The veteran-owned establishment has been serving its all-day food menu since April, featuring bar service and Intelligentsia Coffee. Their bakery case is filled with tempting goodies including classic hand-cut yeast and cake doughnuts in unique flavors such as honey-dipped, poached-pear, and chorizo.
Delicious. Just well made doughnuts. Love coming here on as Saturday with some friends before heading out around town to explore the city. Best donut shop in the area and definitely worth stopping by. It is a tad expensive but again worth the price for the quality that you get.

I really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of Good Company and the fact that you can get miniature versions of the big fancy doughnuts! I got the chocolate pistachio mini version and surprised at how sweet I found it. I believe it was a great doughnut but I will probably stick to something a little less sugary next time :) I tried the pork belly breakfast sandwich and ordered lime crema on the side. I believe the crema absolutely made the sandwich go from “pretty good” to “delicious”. The pork belly could be seasoned more.

I’ve always enjoyed your food and appreciated the good service from your company. My favorite item has been the steak and cheese, and I usually look forward to ordering it. However, my recent experience was very disappointing. I ordered my usual steak and cheese last Sunday, but this time it was not up to your usual standards. As you can see from the attached photo, there was barely any meat in the sandwich, and the taste was off as well. It felt like a waste of money, which was surprising given how much I normally enjoy your food. I’m not sure what happened this time, but I hope it was just an isolated incident. I’d really appreciate it if you could look into this. Thank you for your time.

Possibly the best breakfast sandwich, I ever had in Northern Virginia. The Veggie Egg and Cheese. Staff is always really nice too and the coffee is great.

Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe is a must-visit for breakfast or a leisurely afternoon. I've been a regular in recent weeks and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. The Pastrami Breakfast Sandwich is a standout. The pastrami is perfectly cooked and the flavors are incredible. I'd happily eat this on anything! The Breakfast Burrito (with chorizo) and the Breakfast Sandwich with cream cheese and pesto are also delicious, though I’d recommend the latter on a bagel. The doughnuts are, as you might expect, fantastic. However, at $4 each, they're a bit of a splurge for me. The mocha latte and nitro cold brew are both excellent and provide a great morning boost. The service at this place is great. The woman at the donut window (Unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but you'll know) just lights up the space and makes every customer feel so welcome; her joy is contagious. Highly recommend!

Had an uber eats order yesterday! The Mocha Espresso donut was sold out! They replaced it with some kinda cinnamon donut and I couldnt eat it! I never got a heads up until after it was delivered.I tried disputing this on uber eats but they said its not eligible for a refund.

I was a bit disappointed. I came here for vegan donuts, and they only had one vegan flavor. The donut was 4.90, which is more than I've ever seen for a vegan donut. I would be OK with the price if it meant the staff was being well taken care of, but I was still asked for a tip while paying. The donut was OK but nothing special. Finding street parking was easy (I went on a weekday afternoon), but even that seemed a bit overpriced at almost $4/hour. Donut run is a much better option for vegan donuts: easier parking, cheaper, bigger and tastier donuts

Amazing donuts in creative flavor combinations are reason enough to visit. Super fast and friendly service, a chill vibe and good coffee are reasons to hang out a while and savor. No dedicated parking here but plenty of public garages nearby.

Such a fun experience celebrating a special occasion here! Service was wonderful and super helpful and attentive. We especially enjoyed the wine selection as well as the chicken and caviar croutons (pictured here). Would recommend this to anyone looking for a small, intimate, chic dinner!

5/5… food was pretty good but I wasn’t blown away. Apologies my photos are not great and I didn’t get all our Dishes. They do have very good service, atmosphere, and considering how many HORRIBLE upscale restaurants there are in DC, this is not one of them… Fair price point, and food is fresh and good flavors.

What a treat this restaurant is! We did the Chef 5 course menu, everything was truly delicious. My favorite was the Parisian gnocchi. But the duck and vol-au-vent was also outstanding. Service strikes the perfect balance of relax, helpful and informative. We took a cab there and back because parking is almost impossible. Make a reservation from their website or your chances of getting a table are slim. Though not cheap, it was well worth the price. We are super happy with our evening.

This was our favorite dining experience in DC the last few years. Alot of restaurants are innovative, inventive, fun and an experience but I’m not sure if I would want to eat the dishes again. This food is not only all of the above, but absolutely delicious. I wanted to eat every dish over and over again. My wife and I came for her birthday and got the chefs tasting menu. Shout-out to Bruno and especially the Sous Chef James for making us feel special and providing a truly intimate, memorable, if not unforgettable experience. We will be back!

one of my all time favorite restaurants. great food, perfect service. a dangerous place for a gourmand like me. one time we had a meal so extravagant that my loved ones temporarily banned me from ordering for the table for a period of time. I’m out of jail now though and I look forward to running up another insane check again soon. can’t wait to come back. the desserts are otherworldly.

Donut Run, located in Takoma, is a popular vegan donut shop that has quickly gained a dedicated following since its opening in 2021. The shop offers a variety of flavorful and nostalgic donut options, including classic glazed, French toast, death by chocolate, The Homer (a strawberry sprinkle ring), and many more.
Donut Run was so very good! We got a Creme brûlée donut, vanilla coconut, mocha frappe, Boston cream, pistachio lemon, and a Homer (pink frosting with sprinkles). The donuts were so fresh and fluffy. And huge! I highly recommend coming here! There was a small line but it went quickly.

I’ve been waiting to try this donut spot over the last few months and I must say I was not disappointed. They had so many different flavors it was tough to choose from. Fun fact, this spot is vegan. The donuts were airy and sweet with a perfect balance of icing to dough ratio. They had a friendly staff as well.

Crazy good donuts for any vegan or allergy folks. The whole fam loved them. The pumpkin whip was especially amazing. Good coffee and friendly service too. Worth the drive if you’re not nearby (we’re in Nova) and will be back!

Some of favorite sweets in DC (that just so happen to be vegan 😋) and great, fast service. The shop is located conveniently near a metro stop and bus stops and offers different flavors by the month. HIGHLY recommend, loved by vegans and non-vegans alike. It’s important to note that indoor seating isn’t available nor are restrooms.

Best donuts we have ever had. Congrats Donut Run! You guys have knocked it out of the park. See you in a month 😂 🍩

So many cool toppings and flavors! They post their flavors on instagram which was very helpful to ensure I was ready to order when I was next in line. They don’t have any seating so it’s definitely a grab and go spot. All donuts are vegan and so soft and fresh! I got the payday, mocha frapp, strawberry and DC crumb cake donuts. The payday and crumb cake were my favorites. I’d love to come back and try more flavors soon!

I love donut run. And this review comes because of my love for donut run. Business is booming which is incredible but not incredible when you’re out of so many flavors by 10/11 am ever single time I come. I drive from Rockville because I have a dairy allergy and it’s a journey to drive an hour round trip solely for donuts just to get there and find that many flavors are already sold out. Again, it’s amazing that you guys are doing so well and I’m so happy for the success!!! But it may be time to look at demand and increase the amount of donuts being made. Posting flavors the night before would also be helpful. (Would love a Rockville location 😁🙏).

The coffee really is VERY good. They do eggs VERY well — probably the best poached egg I have ever had (see pics). Some people just know what they are doing. Sandwich was also good — the add on side salad was worth it. Potatoes were good too. Modern environs— cool vibe — congenial staff. Priced right.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had an amazing dinner at Kaldi Social House! The vibe is cozy yet modern, perfect for both coffee and cocktails. I tried the 8oz Blackened Salmon Filet with pomme purée, potatoes, broccolini, and lime compound butter — absolutely delicious. The Blood Orange Cosmo was refreshing, and their Espresso Martini with Baileys is a must-try. Huge thanks to Sean and Darnell for the wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re in the Arlington area!

I had a great experience at Kaldi House! Earlier in the day, it’s a popular spot for people working or studying, and in the evening, it gives off cozy first-date vibes. I really enjoyed the cortado—definitely recommend it. Just a heads-up: make sure to grab a table before ordering, as it can get busy and they ask which one you are at. I tried the Caesar salad, and for the price, it wasn’t my favorite, but the small plates looked much more promising. Overall, a solid spot with good energy!
Sarah S — Google review
It can get really packed and finding a spot for two people can be rather challenging, but has some good food and drinks to offer. Service is a little weird as there isn’t anyone walking around dedicated, but you may have to go to front for things at times.

I used to live in Silver Spring and would go to Kaldis often there. I had only been to this one once for coffee. We were looking to try a new place for breakfast today so I suggested this and we were pleasantly surprised! I got the breakfast burrito and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles, and it was delicious. Both tasted home made — the burrito wasn’t too salty, and I’m usually hesitant about sauce because restaurants tend to add too much. But honestly the burrito wasn’t perfect. Maybe add a little hot sauce if you’d want to spice it up even further. My boyfriend really enjoyed the chicken and waffles, the chicken was Korean fried and it was so good. I wish I had taken pictures but was too busy eating lol but I had to come write a review. And we will definitely be back for breakfast soon!

USED TO BE GREAT! :( This used to be my favorite place in the whole region and the kind of place I came multiple times a week and wanted to bring friends to. Pastries have always been a bit meh but the drinks were superb, the menu terrific, reasonably priced for the area, and food always steller. Over the last year it's gone downhill, starting with the kitchen. Portions have gotten significantly smaller (most recently they've changed all their dishware, since their new portions looked ridiculous on their formerly large dishware). Portions decreasing and prices increasing might be understandable in this economy but quality has also been in serious decline. Sausage severely undercooked, fruit that tastes rotten or like fridge, eggs either undercooked or overcooked, food cold or seemingly microwaved. All while prices increase. Vibe has also changed: service is worse, servers less friendly, an overall decline in quality of environment, but the food has been the dealbreaker for me. The last time I brought friends in I was embarrassed by the food so won't be doing that anymore. At this point every time I go the food is disappointing to the point that my husband (who used to swear by this place along with me) says he never wants to go back. So far it's still a great workspace which is a plus, but the lack of quality food makes me not want to return since it always feels like a loss. The hot drinks are still excellent but I'm dreading when that goes too. In any case, $50 for an unsatisfactory breakfast, or even lunch, feels absurd. Sorrowfully looking for a better haunt now, if anyone has any suggestions.

So I see a few reviews complaining about the prices. To be fair, their coffee prices seem high, but, I wasn’t there for coffee, so, it didn’t matter to me. I went into this quaint shop for a Grecian Yogurt Bowl and buttery croissant…..and they didn’t disappoint. The yogurt bowl was graced with a generous portion of creamy, plain Greek yogurt, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, almonds and drizzled with honey. (I asked for no granola, which usually comes with it.) The tangy yogurt paired beautifully with the sweet honey and fruit. And, it was a sizable portion! Two could easily share a bowl! The croissant was sublime. Fresh, with beautiful, buttery laminated layers. Very yummy! Two thumbs up from me!

Coffee is amazing, and the pastries are really good too. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The atmosphere of the cafe is good, the wifi doesn’t work if there are too many people in the cafe though. The seats were comfortable and the tables were big, which is perfect for studying.

We had breakfast at this amazing cafe for 2 consecutive days and we loved it. The french toasts are to die for, the cappuccinos delicious and the staff super professional and friendly. We wish we could have a place like this here in Miami so we could eat french toasts more frequently.

We stopped here as a morning stop before the zoo. It was pleasant with polite barista's and good coffee/muffins. Cost is a little high, but we are from a lower cost of living state. So no biggie. We enjoyed chilling out and enjoying a nice morning.

I used to love this place. Good coffee, good (albeit overpriced) food. But now their coffee prices are absolutely outrageous. A cup of good coffee costs $3.50-$4 max. Go to Simona a block away, which is way better and fairly priced, or even Bayou Bakery and Northside Social. They just charged me $5.25 for a coffee plus a bogus mandatory service fee, coming out to $6.04 for just a cup of drip coffee. Unbelievable price hikes all around.
Sabah A — Google review
Stopped in here on a Sunday morning when looking for coffee and breakfast pastries in the area. The cashier was welcoming but not necessarily the most helpful especially considering I told her it was my first time there. The speciality matcha drink was good and you can tell from the flavor they use a quality matcha base. I was slightly disappointed the special raspberry sauce just stayed at the bottom of the cup but I’d still recommend trying it. The croissant was a pure delight! Parking was an ease and there were plenty of seats available with enough quiet to concentrate if working. I’d recommend and return.

For Five is such a nice place to go at any time of the day! There’s soooo many options for drinks/food and everything is really good. I LOVE their matcha 🍵 and yogurt bowl. All the baristas are so nice, specially Isabella, she always has the best attitude. The place really feels like a community if you come often, you really feel welcome. Green Almond Pantry is a charming farm-to-table lunch counter that offers an impressive selection of freshly made bread, salads, and snacks. The menu features Mediterranean delights prepared from scratch by the talented Chef Cagla Onal-Urel. Despite being a small casual spot, the food is top-notch and beautifully packaged items are available for takeout. This hidden gem in Georgetown provides a blissful dining experience away from the touristy areas.
I'll be honest, I'm a California food snob. I've struggled to find affordable, consistently delicious food in DC and miss spaces that are clearly family owned where the food is made with love. I have found that at Green Almond Pantry. My partner and I have made a routine of going every weekend and every single thing we have tried has been fantastic. I remembered to take a picture of the foccacia after I had already quickly inhaled half. The breakfast sandwiches were to die for. Each frittata has been mouth watering. I'll try and remember to take some photos next time I go. Not the quickest option as they carefully heat and create each dish, but you can grab a coffee or boba from the spot next door while you wait.
Aurora W — Google review
Absolutely delightful spot for a casual brunch / lunch with a ton of delicious baked goods and prepared grab-and-go items! Cagla and Rachel are the sweetest people I've ever met, and Cagla's cooking skills are absolutely out of this world -- fully worthy of the many James Beard nominations she's received over the years! For a quick but hearty brunch, I love their egg and cheese sandwich; it's genuinely one of the largest sandwiches I've ever seen, and includes two fried eggs, generous helping of melted cheese, and perfectly nutty and herby pesto sandwiched between two giant slices of fluffy, super flavorful focaccia. If you want something a little simpler, I'm obsessed with all of her tarts -- the butternut squash and goat cheese one is my favorite, but the spring / summer seasonal tart with leeks and walnuts is also incredible. I don't know how she manages to create such a crispy crust with a tender, super savory and slightly sweet interior, but each one of these tarts is just perfection. They also offer catering for parties and corporate events, and I highly recommend. We got their food for a work holiday party last year, and we got rave reviews from all the guests. That was where I first fell in love with the butternut squash tart, but the oyster mushroom hummus was also a huge hit. Even the simpler items, like the kale salad or red lentil balls, are executed perfectly and are a huge crowd pleaser. The only note is that Green Almond Pantry is part of the Grace Street Collective, so you can't make reservations and it can be a little tough to find seating among all the other restaurants and eateries. It's usually a little easier to find a spot if you come during an off hour -- either right when they open at 11 AM or a little later in the afternoon after the lunch rush. Even if you can't find a spot, their food is delicious to go and it's quite close to the Georgetown Waterfront, so you can always enjoy your meal outside if it's nice out.

Amazing lunch spot ! We had eggplant + goat cheese sandwich and steak and egg sandwich. Steak sandwich came with focaccia. Steak was well cooked in medium melting in mouth. Egg was perfectly cooked over medium. It was hard to eat with hand but I enjoyed it. Moreover, nothing can go wrong with goat cheese. Eggplant was perfectly seasoned with tomato sauce; the sauce was not too watery so that there was minimum dripping.

Stopped here for lunch and I was very delighted with the taste and quality of the item I ordered. Everything was fresh and made with simple ingredients. I ordered soup and a leek & rice salad. Both items were delicious. The dining hall that Green Almond Pantry is located in can get busy during lunch, so heading there just before 12:30pm or after 1:30pm seemed to avoid the crowds.

Excellent hidden gem off the beaten path of tourists. This is slow food (tasty), not fast food (cheap). The boutique menu is appropriately priced. Sandwiches are large enough to split with a spouse. It’s small casual…not a full service restaurant…but they can bring the order to you in the small galley. Lunch time can get busy with college kids. A smoothie shop and bakery are in the same cozy space. My wife & I love to share the lamb sandwich with a side of focaccia bread (~$30). Highly recommended. A+

Known for its friendly service and extensive menu, it has become a neighborhood institution and a popular spot for pickup orders.
I'm not a huge fan of diners but I love one that initials are WH 😉 I've been looking for something similar and this place was recommended to me. We went on a rainy Tuesday for breakfast and it was seat yourself. Our waiter came over immediately and took our order. I ordered the two eggs, sausage and a pancake. Lemme say, I was impressed!!! I love hash browns but usually have a hard time finding them since most restaurants serve home fries. Bob and Edith's hash browns were delicious! The pancakes...OMG top notch! I'm usually a French Toast lover but I'd definitely get the pancakes here. My fiance ordered the French Toast and they were the best ones I've ever had from a diner. It's actually very comparable to any breakfast restaurant. I will definitely be a return customer!

Bob & Edith’s Diner - Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bob & Edith’s Diner on Columbia Pike, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Despite the ongoing roadway construction in the area, the diner maintained its charm and accessibility, making it a reliable stop even during challenging times. One of the first things I noticed was the fast service. Arriving at 5 AM on a Tuesday, with light rain drizzling outside, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order was taken and delivered. The efficiency of the staff is commendable, especially given the early hour. They were not only quick, it was also attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a satisfying breakfast. The food was absolutely delightful! Each dish was made exactly as I ordered, showcasing the kitchen's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. I opted for their classic breakfast platter, and every bite was a reminder of why this diner has become my go-to spot for late nights and early mornings. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the coffee was just what I needed to kickstart my day. What impressed me even more was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Throughout my visit, I noticed the staff continually cleaning and maintaining the dining area, which contributed to the overall pleasant atmosphere. It’s clear that they take pride in their establishment and want to provide a comfortable environment for their guests. While parking can be a bit limited, it’s a small hiccup compared to the fantastic experience I had inside. The cozy, albeit small, setting of the diner adds to its charm, making it feel like a hidden gem in Arlington. If you’re looking for a friendly spot that serves up delicious food with a side of warmth and hospitality, Bob & Edith’s Diner is the place to be. I left feeling satisfied and ready to take on the day, thanks to the incredible service and mouthwatering food. I can't recommend this diner enough for anyone in the area—whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a must-visit!

The best $12 burger I’ve had. Just a warning, I thought the double cheeseburger(B&E) would be the classic smash burger, thin patty. It is a chunker. Only get the double cheeseburger if you can eat a lot otherwise go for the single. I know you really can’t see from my picture, but the panty was about 1/3 to 1/2 an inch for each one. Milkshake was fantastic as well, they give you the extra in the mixing cup.

District Taco is a popular mexican restaurant with roots in Yucatan that focuses on delivering quality food at reasonable prices. The modern decor and exposed ventilation are deceptive, as the restaurant's focus is on providing delicious Mexican food. Various tacos, burritos, and other dishes are available throughout the day, and the restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
30Apr.2021 My lover and I had a wonderful lunch here today. The cashier/food preparer was polite and patient. Food prepared fresh at time of purchase. My Carne Asada taco’s were great. Flavorful moist steak. The chicken quesadillas my lover had was superb. Atmosphere was laid back and a bit loud from the cooling system. Nothing major. The music was pretty up beat. Nice and clean in there. I didn’t see any way a wheelchair was accessible. Just because it’s the city, there should be access’ for handicap as well.

Order on screens or with their very friendly staff. Build your perfect lunch. Plenty of choices and you can dine in or take out. Food was fresh and good. The drink machine at this location is broken, so only bottled drinks. Prices are typical.

Lunch on Saturday. Place was empty. Self ordering kiosk is good for people who know what they want. Otherwise, you'll need to page through and figure it out. They do ask for dietary restrictions on the order which was nice. I ordered a chicken bowl with guacamole and sour cream. To be honest, it was just okay and kinda lifeless. No real flavor and felt bland. I thought Chipotle tasted better. My friend got nachos and those were much much better! The chips really helped add to the flavor and texture of the dish. I would have preferred that to what I ordered. Dining area was clean but not very warm and inviting. In conclusion, if you go - your experience may vary based on what you order. I would go back for the nachos though!

We ordered a bowl and burrito. We ordered guacamole on the burrito and paid almost $3 extra for it. We took our food home and there was no guacamole in the burrito. The prices were crazy already (no drinks and $30+), but the omission of the $3 add-on makes us less likely to return in the future.
Jessica W — Google review
The food tastes great but for $20 they only filled the burrito bowl to halfway. It wouldn't have cost them nothing to add a little bit more lettuce. If I order a burrito bowI kind of want the whole bowl to be full....Not halfway like the picture. Fun atmosphere, but won't come back since you get so little for what you pay for.

Excellent burrito bowl. Actively cleaned during my visit. Older decor. Very quick service. Quite tasty, and seemingly very healthy - no grease/fat. Moderate price. Would certainly return.

The food was good and price was crazy high. We ordered for our daughters and my wife. I got a coffee and had a couple of bits from their orders. We enjoyed the place. It was nice and clean with good music playing. I went to wash my hands after, but there as no soap in the bathroom, and I let the staff know, and washed my hands in another restroom.

I haven’t been to District Taco in a while and this was the first time I’ve been to this location, but honestly I had a very positive experience. The food was good, the service was good and the electronic ordering kiosks were very intuitive and user friendly. Definitely recommend checking this out if you can somehow find parking or can get there on foot.

District Taco is a beloved local chain that began as a food truck, specializing in customizable Yucatán-style tacos and burritos. If you're on the hunt for a laid-back dining experience with mouthwatering dishes, this spot is perfect for you. Their menu features delightful options like Nachos Borrachos and cheesy quesadillas, making it family-friendly too. On special occasions like Cinco De Mayo, you can enjoy $5 cervezas alongside budget-friendly meals under $10.
I have been coming here since high school and it’s always good and the service is quick and efficient. Others that complain need to consider what they are getting, the convenience and the quality for what they are doing. This isn’t a high end fancy restaurant, and it’s open until 10 and I’ve never gotten bad food no matter the time. Their chips and queso are also the best overall and consistent I’ve ever had. Kudos

I just went to get burritos the other night. Food is still good but place is empty now. No more people to smile and take your order. Just 4-5 large computer screens and people in back making orders. Part of what made coming here special was the food and the vibe. The vibe is gone. I told the kind manager this, and sadly said I won’t be back.

District taco has consistently provided a wonderful environment with delicious food. Their fish tacos are delicious as are there burrito bowls, and their guac and salsa are handmade every day and are some of the best I’ve ever had. They have upbeat Tex-Mex music, and their environment is clean and employees are friendly. Eat local!

WONDERFUL!!!! This blows chipotle away. They don’t load it up so much you have to use a knife and fork. My tacos were carnitas. Tender, juicy and full of flavor. So impressive on the ordering. Seems they do mostly online and monitors with touch screens. Food was fresh, clean restaurant and a delightful staff. A+++ I do have one critique. The wrapping that the tacos came in. It becomes soggy and sticks to the tacos. I did not find it fun to be pulling off wrapping, bit by bit. You should look into new was of wrapping or same wrapping with a non stick surface. Photos show that.

I ordered three tacos which was good but came out a bit soggy. To be fair, it could have been the number of toppings I added (rice, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, lettuce and beans). Note: Review doesn't include atmosphere as this was a takeout order.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Brooklyn Bagel Bakery is a delightful NYC-inspired bakery and café that has been charming locals since its inception in 2000. With inviting sidewalk tables, it’s an ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or lunch. The menu boasts an array of freshly baked bagels, deli sandwiches, and wraps that are sure to satisfy any craving.
Great spot for a morning pick me up, super quick service with a self serve iced coffee station. Bagels were very good! Will def be coming back with a the hinge date who showed me this spot
Jack K — Google review
The bagels, in general, were average. While the tops were firm, the bottoms were a bit too squishy for my liking. The Asiago bagel specifically was not great, there was barely a cheese flavor, but the plain bagel was fine. Side note, The amount of butter they put on a butter bagel should be criminal considering the cost.
Jeffrey D — Google review
Fresh, doughy bagels and great service. There was a line out the door and they got us in and out in less than 10 minutes. It’s become a new favorite spot.
Brianna C — Google review
I had high hopes for Brooklyn Bagels in Arlington, but the experience left me thoroughly disappointed. The service was reminiscent of the Tri-State area—quick-moving and no-nonsense. You had to know what you wanted before getting to the front, with 3-4 staff rotating to take orders. Normally, that kind of service works when the food makes up for it. Here? Absolutely not. On my first visit, I was excited and ordered a pork roll, egg, and cheese. They had no idea what a pork roll was (fair, outside of the Tri-State area), so I rephrased it as a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese. Still nothing. I ended up just saying “ham, egg, and cheese,” but at a place called Brooklyn Bagels, you’d expect some knowledge of East Coast staples. However, that is not what took away points from my review. When my order finally arrived, it was a disaster. The bagel sandwich looked absolutely despicable—just take a look at the photos I’ve added to this review. I opened up one of the halves of my bagel, and from the photo you’d think I had removed some of the insides. Nope. For the price I paid, I was expecting something resembling quality. Instead, I got a semi-stale bagel with lackluster ingredients that shouldn’t even be associated with the name “Brooklyn.” If you’re going to market yourself as “Brooklyn” anything, the product should live up to it. This was a major letdown.
Tyler H — Google review
Service was quick, but food was extremely disappointing. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese in everything bagel. The bagel barely had any seasoning on it and was pretty hard/chewy (not in a good way). I was pretty shocked when I opened the bagel to see it barely had anything actually in it. Just doesn’t feel worth the stop for this.
Emily S — Google review
The service is fast and friendly, but the food is a little expensive for the quality. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with a strawberry smoothie. Good for a quick snack!

Plain cream cheese on French Toast Bagel was beyond great. Will come back for more. They only accept cash or debit for purchases under 10 dollars.
Sambhav D — Google review
About as authentic "NY bagels" as you can get in the DMV. We stopped bringing back bagels from our NYC trips once we found this place. We keep trying other "recommended" bagel shops locally, but keep coming back here. If there is a visible hole in the middle of your current bagel choice, then you are just eating a bready-doughnut. Worth the trip!

Buzz Bakeshop is a popular bakery with locations in Alexandria and Arlington, offering a variety of delectable treats from cupcakes and brownies to pumpkin muffins. The bakery also serves savory options like quiches and sandwiches, making it a great spot for both sweet indulgences and substantial meals. With free Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets, it's an ideal place to hang out with friends or get some work done while enjoying freshly baked goods.
We've loved everything we've ever gotten from here, but I want to give huge kudos to Chef Miguel at the Slaters Ln location. He took over for Chef Kate on the order of our daughter's smash cake and did SUCH an incredible job!!! It turned out even better than I had hoped! He was very thorough and professional over the phone, and even invited me to meet him in-person to discuss my design ideas. He clearly listened to everything I said because the end result was just so perfect! I can't recommend him and the whole shop here enough. They continue to be the place we go for all of our family's special occasions and this experience reminded me of why. My sincerest thanks to Miguel and team for your expert care and craft.

Buzz Bakeshop provided the wedding cake for my and my husband’s reception, and we could not have been happier with it! I’ve actually been going to Buzz for years, so I knew early on I wanted them to provide the cake for my wedding. They provided us with a beautiful coconut cake with raspberry buttercream filling and vanilla frosting, and my sister-in-law, who’s a professional baker, even commented on how delicious it was! My only regret was not saving a piece to take home for me and my husband before our guests devoured it!

Buzz Bakeshop made a custom cake for our engagement party & did such an incredible job. I spoke with Dylan about creating the cake, explained my vision, and we chose flavors together. His advice was really helpful and clear. This cake was absolutely delicious and was a huge hit at our party. It easily fed our 50 guests. Buzz Bakeshop also does delivery which was very convenient. 10/10 would recommend. Their cupcakes are also quite tasty!!

I’ve always had a good experience with Buzz - friendly staff and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS baked goods. However, my recent experience takes the cake (😉). I ordered a custom cake through their online ordering service (which I’ve used many times). When I received The text that I could go pick it up, the bakery had zero record of my order and did not have a cake prepared. They had a cake ready within three hours for me with not one percentage point less in quality. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, calm, and so helpful. This is a small business… This is community… Shop local.

I had the BEST experience with Buzz Bakeshop! I was having a book launch party and wanted a cake with the book's cover image on it. The staff was super helpful (and friendly!) over email explaining my options, and when I picked up the cake, I was stunned by how gorgeous it was! Also (perhaps most important), it was DELICIOUS and everyone at the party loved it!

We got our wedding cake through Buzz Bakeshop, and we are so glad we did! The Buzz team was very communicative throughout the process and responsive to our questions. We appreciate that they let us choose complementary cupcakes with flavors of our choosing to test different wedding cake options. The cake itself was exactly as we had in mind, and it was delicious! We would highly recommend Buzz Bakeshop.

It should be a crime to have such delicious cupcakes. I ordered a few cupcakes for delivery and took a risk based off appearance. I did.

We love the chick fil A experience. I like it because of the juiciest chicken ever, obviously and the simplicity of the menu. I don’t have to overthink when I’m ordering at the counter. The price has risen over time is what I heard. But for two of us, the meal was filling and affordable. Had the chick fil A sauce and buffalo sauce to carry home as well. The burgers that we ordered were simply delish! We will surely go back to chick fil A again.

Ummmm why was one of the employees staring at me??!! There was no rizz in the situation. If he wanted my number he should have just asked for it… They messed up my salad. Who had the idea to leave my eggs off of the leaves?!! 🥗. I went back to get my hard boiled egg and I was given the egg by itself when I wanted a whole new salad for free and I deserved one as well. I had to walk two blocks to get my egg. 🥚. Four star. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Chick-fil-A that didn't quite carry the CFA customer service as the standalone operations. Ordered a sandwich with add ons and a sauce... Got a sandwich without anything I asked for. They were not busy at all around 11am and the dining room area was very clean and counter was well organized. Note that this location also does not have mobile order.
Nola — Google review
One of the worse locations I’ve gone to. Weird service, dirty bathrooms, and the food was subpar. I stomached through my skimpy sandwich. If you have the option, drive out further to another location for quality CFA.
JROD — Google review
This is an urban location twenty feet away from the Metro tunnel entrance. Remarkably not crowded for 11AM. Lots of construction guys as well as regular folks. Staff was friendly and efficient. I would have given five stars but for two things. 1 - the employee forgot to include my ranch and buffalo sauces (minor but annoying since she was the one to ask if I wanted any); 2 - the chicken appears to be of a lesser quality than I remember, the chicken fillet was thin to very thin on at least half of the fillet. I got two sandwiches and it was the same case with both. This is very very disheartening. I will try again at another location and see if it is consistent across stores. If so, then they will have lost a customer. After all, I paid just over $12 for two sandwiches and a drink.

We ate here Saturday and got a spicy chicken sandwich, deluxe chicken sandwich, waffle fries, Mac and cheese, lemonade, and a coffee frosty. The food was very fresh and well prepared. The restaurant was very clean even though it was very busy. It only took about 3 minutes to get my food quickly so very little wait. I would recommend using their app as you can order when going to the restaurant and then not have to wait so long. This spot was not as good in the past but they seem to have really stepped up their game and significantly improved on their processes.

I love this shop. The store is always clean and the bagels are fresh. It tends to be busier earlier in the day, but that's just the way of things. Thanks Dakota!

This is false advertising. I either did not get the right sandwich, or the picture you guys are advertising verses what you are serving is ludicrous. Completely disappointed and not satisfied at all. As much as you pay for delivery service you would at least expect to have a decent meal or at least the right one being brought to you.

This location is no longer meeting expectations. Sad to say the sandwich we ordered today was lacking in preparation. Hardly any smoked salmon or capers…. Even the cream cheese was slight. But, Plenty of onion!

I love Einstein Bros. Bagels, and this location is so close to me so I've been coming here for years. That being said, this location has the most lackluster service. The coffee always tastes burnt, or is out completely and they take FOREVER to get orders completed. I was in a rush this past weekend and placed a mobile pickup order through their app. I arrived at the restaurant at the ETA the app provided, but my order wasn't on the mobile pickup shelf. I assumed they were just running a little behind and waited. 10 minutes later, I went to the counter to ask about my order and the cashier turned and picked up my order off the back counter. I have no idea how long it had been sitting there. When I got home (this location removed tables and chairs during the pandemic), not only was my toasted bagel cold, the inside was burnt. Disappointing. The food is still usually good, but definitely avoid this location if you are in a hurry. You're better off going to Starbucks a couple of doors down.

We order delivery from this place about once a week and they almost never get the order right. Probably 80% of the time they leave several items out or send wrong items. They usually give a refund, but still, it's very frustrating, and it can't be cost effective for them to make this many mistakes so often, I'm sure we're not the only people this happens to.

You guys are terrible, your people don't know your own POS system. Not only that YOU GAVE YOURSELF A $3 TIP without disclosing it. Upon being confronted with this your manager was insanely rude. We had to ask why it showed $42 and when we paid it was $45. Fix your manager. The manager was accusing us of causing the issue. I visited this store because it's conveniently located near my workplace. Unfortunately, I stood at the register for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I understand that the staff was busy handling online orders—things happen—but neither the team nor the manager on duty made eye contact or offered any kind of acknowledgment or apology. There were about five other people waiting behind me, and we all eventually left without being helped. It's disappointing, and I don’t plan to spend my money where customers aren’t treated with basic respect.

The food was burned (2 sandwiches and tater tots) How is it okay that you give customers a burnt croissant? Ordered flavor swirl coffees, and it was none in the coffee. Why does every time I come here they never let paying customers upstairs at anytime. They always use the trashcan to put in front of it. Some people move it then some of the mangers move it back. It's very rude to the customers.mpeople should be allowed to seat upstairs everyone complains about it all the time. there is more space. People can spread out.whatsnthe point of having an upstairs if everyone can't use it. They allow their friends to go upstairs but no one else. They block it off with trash and cones. More work than it's worth. There is no good reason why you can't go upstairs.

The girl handed me my food after handling dirty rags and I know she didnt wash her hands. I asked her when she handed me my food and she said it was just water from the ceiling. I requested new food but I dont know what she touched but if I get sick its from her handling water from the ceiling and whatever else she touched because obviously Mcdonalds doesnt train their employees on food safety. How are people so stupid? The health dept needs to investigate this location if they think its ok to handle water from the ceiling and not wash hands. They should be using gloves but I guess the owner and manager dont care about food safety. I'm scared about what we don't see.

This McDonalds does not staff it's order line at 7:45 forcing people to go the payment booth. Very inattentive. When attempting to pay for a simple order, the cashier wanted 8+ dollars, and when I refused that amount the cashier tried to charge me 9+ dollars. Finally, the charged me for what I ordered, did not wait for the addition coins. I called the phone number, and no one answered. Also, I was not given a receipt. This isn't the first time for a mix up in morning orders.

Very disappointing today. I parked the car and ran into to get 2 ice cream cones ,one for me and one for my dog. The dog was in the car with a fan on her but I still wanted to be quick. I went in and they were two people ahead of me ordering, so I stood behind them but apparently they were ordering everything on the menu twice and meanwhile people were coming in and hitting the self-service window and getting served. So I went over to the self-service kiosk and it took my order and I paid for it and then it said something went wrong with your order and I just said screw this and left without food . I was really upset. I didn't want to do the drive-thru because in order to give my dog her ice cream cone I needed to park the car. This is usually a fine McDonald's .. it's s the one I use most often. But even with no line I left without food. Technology doesn't always work..

Nice place around the corner, the name is quite well-suited! Spacious and clean interiors and the big windows add plenty of light. The food was OK for the most part, nothing disappointing but just regular. Nothing in particular stood out to me, at the same time the stuff was clean and fresh. The hot coffee is good! The eggs were alright too. The fruits were a bit too cold for my taste. The staff is pleasant and courteous and overall the place has a nice vibe to it so definitely pay a visit.

For ten American dollars, Corner Bakery will give you a chicken “pesto pasta” (which tastes more like plain butter than real pesto), and which contains no more than two tiny pieces of very thinly-sliced chicken. These portions suggest that the restaurant might be able to stretch a single chicken breast enough to serve ten separate orders. The bread isn’t bad. Overpriced and unimpressive food, however.

Excellent service, delicious pastry and latte. The sandwich was good, too, — if you like spicy food, I highly recommend it with Asian Edamame.

I had a Cesar Salad, my husband had a full-on breakfast, and we both agreed the food was excellent. We ate inside but felt safe as there was plenty of room between tables. Best of all, Corner Bakery was only a few minutes' walk from our hotel.

I eat here a lot. The food is good and the service is friendly. If you sign up online for their emails, you'll never pay full price. Their lemonade is not too sweet, which I really like. They also have Diet Coke on tap, which I also like.

Wayyyyyy to slow service, I was more than patient while waiting for my food but I started to ask where my meal was because I am on lunch break. My office is a block or two down and I didn’t even get to eat my food because it took 45 minutes just to be given to me. I order a half sandwich and pasta come on!!! And the food was mediocre at best, my sandwich was greasy and wet and the bread didn’t taste fresh at all. The cashier was rude and disrespectful, I was waiting in line and she took someone else who was behind me just for the fun of it. Never coming back

Good place, I mainly just get coffee here. The coffee is good, but it tastes like your standard coffee. I'd say Panera's coffee is probably better, but it's still good. Edit: Thank you for starting to use paper straws! Paper straws are so much better for the environment and seeing this change makes a huge difference. This definitely puts Corner Bakery above their competitors in this area.

Seattle-based coffeehouse chain known for its signature roasts, light bites and WiFi availability.
I came in looking for a specific product, blonde roast espresso beans. They only had dark roast available for purchase, BUT, the Barista said, I'll get together the beans we use in our machines and put it in a brown paper bag so you can still take it home, it just won't come in the original packaging because we don't have any more. I was blown away by the customer service. He could just have easily said SORRY, we don't have it, sad emoji. But he went to the trouble of making sure I left with the product I came in for. I'm so happy I'm leaving this review.
