Went to this lovely rooftop whilst on a girls trip. Lovely decor and vibe with the DJ. The food was delicious mini burger and chips! Cocktails were yummy and the barman made a French martini for my friend even though it wasn't on the menu! Sign of a good barman. The service was sometimes slow but it was a Saturday. I definitely recommend booking. Passion fruit mojito also very delicious. Very reasonably priced would pay twice as much in London.

Visited Nomad during a recent two night stay in Bucharest, on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. I'm so glad we made the time to visit this beautiful, rooftop bar and restaurant. It feels a little strange walking down a busy street to enter via a small lift door but when you get to the top, it is definitely worth it. The staff were attentive and helpful, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was busy yet relaxed. There was a DJ playing a very chilled set that wasn't too loud for us oldies on a Sunday night. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful with a spacious outside area, gorgeously decorated inside restaurant and bar and the most amazing toilet doors I have ever seen 🤩 If you're visiting Bucharest I would highly recommend putting this place on your 'Must Visit' list.

Rooftop bar in the city centre. The cocktails 🍹 are great, good plate choice for snacks while drinking. 4 stars because of the stuff. The only person that wanted to be in the bar the night we visited was the hostess at the entrance. The waitresses faces were - why the hell did you came, it’s the middle of the week 😂. Everything changed the moment the bill came. The tip is not included in the final bill, so this was the moment where the most words were said and most effort made.

Lovely bar with a vibrant atmosphere. Enjoyed a couple of interesting cocktails - a smoky whiskey and a grapefruit gin cocktail. On the more expensive side for the area, but still reasonable (particularly compared to the UK!).

We were very impressed with the design of the place. The atmosphere is great and the people are nice. A variety of cocktails and drinks at great prices. The waitress Anka served us professionally and courteously. We will definitely be back the next time we come to Borekshat.

Control used to be a really nice place, a “must visit” area f the Bucharest night. Lately the place is evolving into a more mainstream and non-inclusive space, which is not good considering that this club was one of the flagships of inclusivity in town. The last day we tried to enter we were treated by the door security staff with a total lack of any manners or education, just stating “not tonight” with no any further explanations while other people were paying their ticket and entering to the club. This definitely a pity as one place I used to consider relevant, inclusive and fun, now Control is becoming non-inclusive, mainstream (in the worst possible way) and rather annoying. Don’t waste your time, money and dignity there considering how many nice places you can find in town.

Terrible door staff. Travelling from Canada and refused entry just because I was not Romanian. Pathetic. Avoid at all costs. People working the door tonight should be fired.

The bouncer was ready to let us in, he pulled his machine out, I pulled my card out to pay. Then he suddenly decided that we weren't fit to enter. He said it is not possible now. No reason, just a shrug of his shoulders. We ended up having a great evening at another place because of the bouncer at Control. Spent 500 leu. Posting it here so the management knows they are losing money and customers. Not sure they care overly though.

Went on a Tuesday night, place had great decor and bouncing. Half price drinks after 10 as well, great value, if you can get served 🤣. Bartenders were… picky to say the least, but would probably return.

So if u buy a ticket from the website for a party that starts at 20:00, if u arrive at 23:00 u ll need to buy one more ticket. On the website they r not goona tell u that. Be careful!

I can't believe I'm writing this review in 2025 but here we are. TL;DR place is racist towards black people. Long version: My friend and I came to this place on a Friday night, tickets in hand just to see how this place fairs based on a few recommendations. At check in there was a group of 5 black guys being refused entry, and they were asking why and nobody could offer them a reason. When security saw us ( both white ) they called us to get bracelets and asked us in. As we entered I could hear on of the guys asking: how come they can go in but not us. He. Was. Right. I couldn't stay in a place like this, I got sick from anger and we left 20 minutes later. I can't recommend this place to anybody at this point. There are other clubs in town, I'm sure we can find one that does not discriminate so openly.

Control lost its charm - terrible staff on Saturdays. Not sure what happened here but these days there is terrible staff at the door on Saturdays, with a rather racist behavior, choosing who goes in or not. Avoid it not to be disappointed!

Came here one night with my partner! Have to say we had a blast. Whilst the place is super small, there are no tables or chairs, so you soon find yourself dancing along with the locals and tourists. Plenty of choice for shots... Had a lovely time celebrating my 30th birthday here!

Set your expectations before hand. They only serve shots. And play some Serious dance music. What could possibly go wrong? Highly recommended probably as a end of the night ABF (Absolute Bloody Final) stop because the shots come quick and fast.

Very loud music, couldn't hear a thing. The bartender was all about the experience, we just wanted tequila shots. Expensive, it wasn't really that good, but I liked the atmosphere.

The shots are great and might deserve 4-5 stars, but: 1. Never, in all the times I went there did they have change. 2. Ordering their bottled products is a bit of a scam. You pay a significant ammount of money for bottles that are not full and assorted accesories that are defective and ridiculously over pricesed. 1 star because a product with a premium price should not have silly issues like this.

Hands down my most favorite bar in the city. Kira and David were absolutely stunning bartenders and Alex is a genius who I would call the “chemist” of Bucharest. The Sunflower Seed Cocktail is a MUST HAVE and the best drink I’ve ever had in my life.

It was a fantastic experience! Each cocktail offered a perfectly balanced and unique flavor. The botanical ingredients are handcrafted with great love and enthusiasm. Alex is a true master of his art — he shared fascinating insights about the creation of the drinks and his knowledge and passion truly came through in their taste. What a great place! We had a couple of cocktails. from the very interesting meny. The barman was very pleasant and informative about the drinks and connection to the Romanian history. Great atmosphere, great cocktails!

The bartender was super nice and helpful! He explained all the drinks to us and informed us on what went into making the drinks. Drinks were definitely interesting and had much different flavors than anything else I have had!

We had a wonderful wine tasting event with Dario. And would highly recommend it. Very generous tapas style snacks to go with the wine. All wines from Romania were spectacular. Started with a fizzy white which was a nice start, then white, rose, red and dessert wine. We had our favourites amongst it but all of them were really nice. And by the end after generous servings of wine we were wonderfully merry!! Very relaxed evening learning about where each wine came from with Dario providing just enough information whilst also leaving us with peace to enjoy it without hurrying. Would highly recommend. We stopped here for a couple of afternoon drinks and a small meat and cheese platter. Drinks and food were both great but what made it extra special was the fantastic staff. They were so friendly and helpful! Definitely stop here for some Romanian wine! 10/10

Located in the city center, more precisely, in the Old City, Abel's is a warm wine bar, with a welcome atmosphere. The wine selection is pretty large, covering many Romanian wineyards, some less known (e.g. Domeniul Drăgași), but also offers many foreign wines. Their sommelier is always happy to help you identify a wine suited to your taste, or to recommend you something new for you, of you're in an adwineturous mood. A perfect place for a meeting with dear friends.

I did a wine testing here, this was great. The only thing I would like to have is the cheeze platter that comes with the tasting before the first wine. It would be fun if it was locally produced cheeze aswell and explainen from where. It was a great prize and good service. 5 stars.

The venue is split with sun terrace and inside area, we went on the sun terrace making the most of the late afternoon sun. The food and service was really good although it was not too busy, the young team had clearly been trained well, taking care of every detail, showing a real desire to make our afternoon a positive experience. The menu like most places in town requires you to scan the QR code to access the menu, the order was taken at the table. Food quality and timing between courses was good, given the opportunity to have a 20min break between courses, we like that. My rating is based on the overall experience, therefore my recommendation is to go, look for the Spaceman at street level to find the entrance to the lift at top floor.

Had an amazing brunch at Linea! We were lucky with the weather, nice and sunny. Either way they have igloos and blankets on the rooftop in case it does get cold or rainy. And if rooftop isn’t your vibe there’s a cool indoor restaurant (with similar views) on the floor below. The food was incredible. I had mimosas, smashed avo & poached eggs on sourdough. Well catered for vegetarian but lots of tasty meaty options for my friends too. We just walked in on a Saturday lunchtime. Highly recommend!

Since it was last minute, there were no available tables on the terrace with the beautiful city view, so we were seated in the indoor area downstairs. The space there was nice, although it can’t really compare to the atmosphere and view of the rooftop (we went up later to take some photos and it’s definitely worth it). Service was quite fast and the food was tasty, with reasonable prices. Overall, we left with a very positive impression and would definitely come back the next time we’re in Bucharest — and we would recommend it to others as well. However, it’s worth noting that the terrace experience and the indoor experience feel quite different, so our review is based only on the downstairs area.

The best food in Bucharest! The fries were the best I have ever eaten in my life, everything was perfect. The views are great from the roof and there are so many photo opportunities. Unfortunately we couldn't sit on the roof as it was raining so they shut the roof for health and safety reasons however when it stopped raining we were allowed to go up and take photos. Service was fantastic and would highly recommend everyone to eat here.

Such a fun rooftop bar experience in Bucharest. The igloo experience was novel and the view was beautiful. Service was friendly and quick. We enjoyed attentive service from Prassana from Sri Lanka. We enjoyed cocktails and fries. What a nice stop prior to dinner.

And you can browse through the not very large, but well chosen collection of books and photoalbums, in case you get tired from dancing in the not very large inner space of the Urbanist. 8 years ago (2017 July) I wrote: A cool urban bar with great beers. One of the only places in Romania where you can find an IPA! Hipster feeling! Update 2025: It’s nothing like 2017. They make decent coffee, but they only offer macro brewed beer, and the volume is to high to chat with your friends. Disappointed. The staff are so welcoming, they will give great recommendations and make proper cocktails. It's a lovely intimate setting with vibey music, we went twice and were not disappointed. You definitely have to try their pizza options!

This is a hip place Which mean you could go inside because you are going to be blown away. The decor has been infused with lots of character. You will see DJ decks, including their own merchandise that is of really really good quality . The outside space is also pretty cool but inside will make you just not want to go outside Check it out and give this a thumbs up

We were genuinely prepared for a tourist trap, and we were completely wrong—Caru' cu bere is a masterpiece and an absolute must-visit for anyone in Bucharest. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is sublime. The elegant Gothic interior design and ornate woodwork create a historical, almost cathedral-like feel. We were lucky enough to experience the unexpected live dance performance with traditional Romanian outfits, which was the perfect, authentic cultural touch to the evening. Booking is essential! We highly recommend requesting a table on the balcony view; there are only a few tables up there, giving you a quiet, almost VIP experience away from the main hall's bustle. The Food: We ordered the signature dish: Ciorbă de fasole cu afumătură în pită (Bean soup with smoked pork served in a giant bread bowl). It was phenomenal—hearty, authentic, and easily the best thing we could have ordered. Tip: I also tried the 0% Ursu Romanian beer, which is light and refreshing, similar to a shandy. Final Verdict: Do not skip this restaurant. It offers great food, a truly spectacular setting, and the potential for spontaneous live music and dancing. It’s an experience, not just a meal.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The place was unique and there was a band inside playing classical music. Our server, Bogdan, was really attentive and friendly. There is a variety of food and drink selection. We tried the pork knuckles and the fisherman's tale and both were very delicious. I highly recommend the pavlova. Overall, would highly recommend the place if you want an introduction to the Romanian food and delicacies.

Thought this place would be a tourist trap, but absolutely worth the hype! The Skinless Sausage, the Trout and the Donuts were absolutely killer. The trout was the absolute best fish dish I’ve ever had, and we loved it so much that we went back the next day as the last meal before we departed Bucharest. Definitely worth the wait (highly recommend to make a reservation) and must visit!

One of best decorated restaurants in the world, it’s impressive. They dance and play a show while you are seated, it’s a very special place and deserve a visit. However, the food is just ok. I ordered a big big big veal knuckle and it is just ok, a bit dry. The dessert pavlova is creamy and nice flavour.

A wonderful piece of history with rich, beautiful interiors, but unfortunately very noisy. The food feels more like cafeteria quality — not at the level one would expect from a restaurant of this reputation. A disappointing contrast to the impressive building itself. Famous among tourist but worth it! We didn’t get the chance to book while they had a show but the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Romanian experience which is a must try. Food was really good as well as the beer! Make sure to order the dessert!

We came for lunch and it was amazing! We waited a bit longer but that’s reasonable because restaurant was full and we didn’t have a reservation. The decor is very special and different. Our waiter was Marius C. and he was very professional and provided us the best service. We ate the local specality and asked to make it gluten free, well, to look out a bit more for the gluten and there was no problem, thanks to Marius and the chefs! Definitely a great place to visit, by all means!

The Romanian Parliament it's a wonder of the world. The heavies building in the world and the second biggest administration building in the world after the Pentagon. Inside you will be fascinated by the architecture and luxury of the rooms, halls and chandeliers. Ones of the biggest and most beautiful in the world. I highly recommend it to visit! I recommend not to by tickets in advance, buying from the entrance it's the best thing you can do!

This visit you must include in your itinerary for Bucharest! Fascinating facts about a larger-than-life dictator's house will put your life in perspective. Absolutely ensure this tour. Do not forget your passport! Tickets are only sold in the building.

The Palace of Parliament is one of those sights everyone should probably see when visiting Bucharest. The sheer size of the building is impressive, and then inside is a maze of one large marble floored room after another. Note their is a number of security check points to get on a tour, scanners and passport/ID checks. We had an English speaking guide who was very knowledgeable and also brought his own funny wit to the tour. Total tour is about an hour

I highly recommend buying tickets in advance, as visits are guided and limited to a specific time and number of people. The tour was both interesting and informative - our guide shared a lot of details about the building. The Parliament features beautiful rooms, stunning staircases, and a variety of marble throughout. Being one of the largest parliament buildings in the world, it’s definitely a must-see if you’re spending time in Bucharest.

Tua building is surely impressive, the inside even more. The price for a 1 hour visit from ver the top. The guide was good and it’s worth while visiting but still, pricy.

This is a must-have visit when you are in town. There are many local resources used to built this extraordinary building but also the history is quite interesting to hear. Sad to know that the cost is high but the full extent is not used. The tour gives you 7% of the whole building but still enough to see the major ballrooms and conference rooms that are unique for this building. This building offer many one of a kind and world records so highly recommend to see it with your own eyes. We did not do any pre-work, thus we managed to book the time slot on spot, wait 2h and came back. There is a security check (no liquids, can buy after entering) into the building and then ID check once the guided tour starts. There is no possibility to wander around alone. I actually had a positive experience, especially thanks to the guide (man, under 30ties, laid back, sarcastic humour and attentive). Unfortunately cannot remember the name of the guide but highly recommend him. For fellow pregnant ladies, we did total over 100 stairs which was not bad at all. Buy water and bring it with you of visiting on a hot summer day.

The tour guide explained very well, she was very sophisticated, educated, and spoke well. There is a lot to learn and we had a great time. Very educational time. Pre-booking would be a better thing to do. You cannot take a water bottle inside. I recommend you to drink them up beforehand. There'll be a security check. An ID or a passport will be required to get in.

The food was underwhelming and service is lacking. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and received the attached photo. This costs 10 GBP. When the bill came, they also let us know we are obligated to pay the bacsis cos this is tax. It turned out to be an optional tip. Best to avoid this restaurant.

Great space, very cozy. Food was average,nothing special. Large portions and fair prices, just regular "pub" food. The terrace was lovely. Although we sat inside (toilets are clean as well).

Went there for a beer, the place is really nice, the food for my friend was brought relatively fast, it was tasty and warm. The only thing I've noticed is that there is a difficulty to be noticed by the staff. It took us 10-15m to get our order. Maybe a QR system can help with that.

I came here to have some drinks and snacks and it was a good decision. The location is nice, near the Calea Victoria and not far from old town. The place looks very nice with decorations , and a lot of tables outside in the patio. It gets full but there are many waiters and they are very kind. Service was fast and the drinks were good. I saw people come here a lot for the beer however we tried cocktails. We also tried the Romanian eggplant salad (which is like a dip) and it was good. Prices are fair, so it is a good option for a night out.

My recent visit to this location left me extremely dissatisfied and questioning its high price tag. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the service was far from satisfactory. The waiters seemed disinterested and completely oblivious to our attempts to grab their attention. It was frustrating to be ignored repeatedly, especially when we needed to order something. The quality of the food was equally disappointing. The burger we ordered was poorly assembled, with low-quality ingredients. To make matters worse, the Pasta Aglio e Olio was swimming in an excessive amount of oil. This was due to the unusual choice of penne pasta, which retained more oil than the traditional spaghetti or linguine. It was a culinary letdown, to say the least. Adding to our unpleasant experience, the waiters showed a complete lack of professionalism when it came to clearing the table. After we finished eating, they made no effort to clean the table for an entire hour. It was an incredible display of negligence and disrespect towards their customers. Furthermore, the pub's claim of being a pet-friendly location turned out to be more of a nightmare than a perk. The presence of numerous large, agitated dogs disrupted any chance of a relaxing time. The constant noise, jumping on tables, and attempts to snatch food made the overall atmosphere chaotic and far from enjoyable. Considering the prices charged at this pub, the level of service, food quality, and overall experience were utterly unacceptable. I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience.

Great place to spend time, the karaoke section is great, if you want to try the pub that is also a good option. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is attentive and friendly, to be fair this place is my go to every weekend and it never disappoints. I do recommend making a reservation as it’s always busy.

Karaoke and sports bar. Perfect for a few drinks and trying out your voice on the microphone. The atmosphere is supportive! Everyone is a star!

I’m very lucky unfortunate that I get to travel throughout the world working in my business and I always try to find great karaoke bars in my travels. Mojo music club was absolutely amazing. It is an open karaoke format so you get to sing to the entire crowd at the bar, which is always the best way to do it. The staff of servers and bartenders were amazing. They took wonderful care of us and made sure that we had all of the drinks that we needed. The karaoke DJ (KJ) was great. The sound system was absolutely wonderful with great sound!!

Very lively place! 3 floors. So something for everyone. Shows most of the sports happening on the day. Service is good. On Friday and Saturday the place is alive.

Mojo has moved to larger facility a block away. Much more welcoming. More people can fit in to the karaoke bar. We had a great time. Reservations are required for tables at the karaoke bar on weekend nights.

Best club in Bucharest!! The best music and they change the dj constantly. They even have live music sometimes or dancers and entertainers. Full of young people, really lively!

A really fun club with decently priced drinks, a nice and big outdoor area, and nice staff, but why are all the daytime lights on

Trust me and dont go there. We were a group of 6 sober ppl and we were all rejected for no reason. Furthermore guards are really rude as their approach isnt professional. Btw we left the queue and tried to ask "so called" manager whats going on and why were we rejected. The exact answer was "You are unworthy".

J’ai Bistrot is a true hidden gem in Bucharest! Tucked away from the busy streets, it has such a charming and relaxed atmosphereespecially the beautiful garden, which feels like a secret oasis in the city. The drinks are excellent, the food is fresh and tasty, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Perfect spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a cozy evening. Definitely a must-visit when in Bucharest!

One of my favorite terraces in town. Great terrace, bohemian atmosphere, the chairs need some improvements, as my clothes always get trashed there. Also, the service needs improvement, never on time, and quite arrogant. The menu is expensive while in a quite unpopular part of the city, with a food menu which is below average and many drinks on the menu that are overpriced.

Very cool spot with a comfortable and relaxing outdoor terrace. There's tons of outdoor seating, and you'll be surrounded with interesting graffiti. The menu is QR based so you can take your time, with soups, salads, club sandwiches, traditional dishes and more. Service is fast & friendly. It's a nice option for lunch or dinner

Loved this place. The terrace is really nice and the attention is great. It's perfect to have a nice chat with friends, the music is not too loud and you can talk without any problems. You can either eat or have drinks and if you decide to only have a drink or two, you won't have anyone bothering you to keep ordering stuff. They have power outlets in the terrace so you can work from there if you're in the mood to work from a different place and surrounded by nature.

I cannot say I have a lot of details to offer cuz I arrived quite early in the morning, but the bartenders were really friendly and nice, the music and vibe was good. I’m not offering 5 stars just because I didn’t spend a lot of time, I will get back to this review after another time.

As a first comer without knowing anything about the place I liked it. The drinks were refreshing and different. The food was good, but had a weird experience with the staff from the kitchen with whom I initiated the conversation in Romanian, he replied in English, and when I went to pick up the food only I caught him talking in Romanian and then switched to English again when he saw me. What's that about? I found it a bit pushy the way you were asked about tips on everything. And honestly when you have your clients doing some of the works we were used to expect from the waiters it's rather odd to ask about how was the service or tips.

Funky and young, good music, hip crowd. Especially for wknd days, better call and book a table (on the terrace). The food menu is not large, but the dishes are well prepared and quite tasty. Order your food on the outside booths. The drinks are available at the bar inside. You can pay by card.

Nice place, nice music, nice people. We have been here at corina sirghi concert and it was great! If the guys at the bar would chat less and serve more it would be perfect. When you are thirsty u just want a drink not wait to here them laughing and talking with their friends or customers...

The reviews were right - warm, friendly pub with stellar collection of Romanian craft beers… and two pub cats! I ended up staying several hours longer than planned - it felt like your local pub even far from home.

The place to go if you want to try out a variety of Romanian craft beers. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and will offer good suggestions on what to try. The selection may seem like "Just a fridge" - but it's a fridge packed with a very wide variety of beers. My wife and I have distinctly different tastes in beers and both of us where overwhelmed with beers that we wanted to try. Really wish we had more time in the area just so we could come back here and try the rest of the beers...

Very nice selection of beer, from IPA to Stouts. The pub is quite cosy and the music is simply rock but the volume is at a very pleasant level so you can have a relaxed discussion. Service is fast. Always a pleasure

Lovely place as a local pub. Nice atmosphere, very good selection of local crafts and quality beers from around the world. Nothing was on tap when we've been there, but there was a good selection of bottles and cans. Extra point for an actual house-cat(s)! :)

Not just a cafe but almost a museum, the venue is filled with items, instruments, and costumes reminiscent of rock music legends — the attention to detail is truly impressive. With its spacious seating, airy atmosphere, and lake view, it offers both a delightful dining experience and a visual feast. The service was fast and well-organized.

The hard rock restaurant was quite good. We order different kind of burgers, some wings, nachos and the 3 burger sliders. The food tasted really good however the portions sizes were honestly disrespectful. 2 of us ordered the double burgers and the bigger sized burgers and when they came they were so small, there was barely anything inside of it. The atmosphere was nice and they had live music outside. It was quite loud but you could still have a conversation. The desserts were nice I ordered brownies and there is no photo proof as it was took good that I forgot to take a photo of it but I wish I did because the presentation was great. They played great music inside the restaurant, after the live performance was finished. The food was great other than the portion sizes of the “big” burgers. The nachos were amazing, and the BBQ sauce was great, we really loved it. Definitely worth a visit, but make sure you get a normal sized burgers not a “big” one which it is definitely not big.

We visited the cafe as we do usually in every city we visit. We enjoyed the park in front of the cafe which on any regular day with some sun attracts many visitors and is very nice for a stroll. The cafe itself is nicely decorated, we liked especially the bar to drink our bloody marry. The food, burgers, and beef fajitas are delicious. Shop personnel and service is excellent and friendly. One of the few restaurants you can say where atmosphere is great. You can reach the place easily with uber, taxi or even metro in front; or your own car but there is not much parking.

Amazing! Hard rock gives the real American food and atmosphere. If you're a fan of that, this is the place for you! I think prices are fair and the staff is amazing. Just entering this restaurant you will feel back in times in an American restaurant and that's the good side of it! The BBQ ribs are a MUST TRY! In all fairness don't expect the world, however I think the food is really nice and the vibe of that place is a huge win! I am recommending it to everyone. If you're driving there the good thing is it has a huge parking with lots of spaces, the bad thing - it is paid.

A legendary place, with an impresive interior, but if you sit outside on the terace, you don't have that special feeling. I've been lured with the special Messi Burger, which was far away from expectation. I have understood from my friends, that the other courses from the menu, are better.

One of the best experiences we've had in restaurants, overall. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was great, and they showed genuine care for people with celiac disease. We had dinner there twice, and considering the celiac condition, everything went smoothly without any issues. They offer a gluten-free menu and were upfront about the possibility of cross-contamination, although they take great care to prevent it. The burgers are large and come with fries—more than enough for a satisfying meal. The music was excellent, and they even had a live performance. Definitely recommended, and we'll be coming back when we return.

Hard Rock Cafe in Herăstrău is such a great place to relax and enjoy a good time! The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, with great music playing and an amazing collection of rock memorabilia all around. The food is delicious — everything is fresh and nicely presented — and the portions are generous. The seats are super comfortable, perfect for spending a couple of hours enjoying the vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the whole place has that signature Hard Rock energy that makes you feel welcome.

Visiting the Stavropoleos Monastery was like stepping gently into another time. The moment I entered, I felt as though I was almost touching the past, a feeling very similar to walking the sacred streets of Jerusalem. The silence, the intricate stone and wood carvings, and the soft light all create an atmosphere of deep peace and reverence. It’s a small place, but filled with immense spiritual energy. A true jewel of Bucharest, where history, faith, and beauty come together in harmony.

Tucked away in the bustling old part of town … And I dare to say it like that because we passed from afar at least 3-4 times 🙄🤪🤭😂 Anyway, the Stavropoleos Monastery is a serene escape in the center of town. It was build in 1724. It is a tiny Orthodox church with incredible stone carvings and a peaceful courtyard that feels worlds away from the city’s chaos. Inside, the stones, frescoes and green create a peaceful atmosphere while they whisper stories of resilience. The monastery is small but it radiates quiet strength and harmony. A true hidden gem in a vibrant city.

A very peaceful place in the middle of Old Town Bucharest. Nice to sit in the garden arra with birds chirping and less city noise. The church interior is calm and pretty with live singing when I visited.

A must stop during a walk through the old town. The church itself was totally packed during our visit, but I think the main jewelry is the inner courtyard and its impressive, old architecture. Even when experiencing it with other visitors, you can feel the history and peace the place beams. So beautifully built & kept, and the nature and trees around complete the beautiful experience.

Nice place, but it literally takes 10 minutes to visit. There are no explanations or writings to understand what you’re looking at. Also - I understand it is a sacred place, but is it so untouchable you can’t get rid of spider webs in the building?

The food and beer was good, but woman from stuff was very rude when she told they close the terrace. She didn’t suggest to seat somewhere else, even though we had more than an hour to closing. It was so mean. We left tips before it, but they don’t deserve it. I won’t return to this place, it ruined the good mood we had 👎🏼

Nice, lovely placee, with some atmosphere! However, the service Is extremely slow ( at least in soma parts). With some waiters you have to ask for your next beer multiple times! And with the bill they will arrive with ano ask to leave a tip of up to 20%.... A joke?

Great simple place in the city center to go with the friends for a beer and beergarden food. The place style is quite simple, with wooden tables and benches and a terrace outside. The food range is quite limited but goes well with the beer: burgers, grill meat, sausages, fries. Only three types of draft beer. The prices are decent for the area. Service was generally fast. I recommend the beer sausages with fries with cheese and pickled cucumbers and 'papanasi' for dessert.

If there is a beer heaven and hell they will go to hell because of this: Oktoberfest beer( marzen lager) is in this plays American Pale Ale. And as American Pale Ale it's served in Hefewaizen glass. Comon people, behavior...

I went there last night and was quite disappointed! First of all, my friend ordered a lemonade that was basically just water with no real lemon flavor. When she complained to the waiter, his response was, “We always do it like this.” For context, I had ordered the same lemonade, and mine was fine — but hers was literally just water with a slice of lemon in it. That was the first issue. The second problem came when I ordered some French fries. The menu indicated a 200g portion, but the wait time was excessively long, and when the fries finally arrived, the portion wasn’t even 100g. The third and final issue was with the tip. The waiter didn’t ask if we wanted to leave a tip or how much — he simply added 15% to the bill without informing us. Because of the chaos and noise going on at the time, we didn’t notice right away, which is partly on us. However, what I really find unacceptable is that the tip was added without our consent. And honestly, given the two previous mistakes, I wouldn’t have left a tip at all. Moral of the story: I’m very disappointed and don’t think I’ll ever come back here. It’s a shame because this used to be a great place to spend time with friends and enjoy a drink

Super cool food truck area in the centre of the old town. They have a bar and about 6 food trucks serving all type of food. Beer are around 11lei and pizza is 25lei. On a summer evening this is the place to eat, great for kids...

Exactly what we wanted: - no menu, build your own drink - a friendly, knowledgeable bartender who understands what we’re looking for more than we do, and is not afraid of a challenge (I’m talking about drinks, OK?) - a well stocked bar (they had everything we wanted, plus surprises) - affordable prices - great music - cleanliness

This is a hidden gem that every cocktail lover should check out. The bartender shows real skill, knowledge, hard work, dedication and interest in the craft far beyond what is expected from a job in his business. We started out with a Naked And Famous, but with his own twist on it. An upgrade in my opinion. Next I got a Mai-Tai, a milkpunch version, with orgeat made from pistachio. Superb! My wife had a clarified, spicy Margarita which lived up to it's name. We mentioned that we both love green Chartreuse, but that it's hard to come by. He then proceeded to run to a different location and returned with a bottle, and proceeded to make us a couple excellent Last Word cocktails. His claim is that it's probably the only bar in Bucharest you can get it, and I belive him. We ended the night with a fat (butter) washed Boulvardier and a Negroni with truffle infused gin. Both works of art in flavor. The wife chose a Paloma-inspired cocktail with Mezcal. When we left, we even got a little taste of the Elexir Vegetal as a good bye present. Superb drinks, excellent service, will come again next time we're in town.

What an amazing experience! We came early around 6pm to have a drink before dinner, and Stefan made us some very delicious drinks. We sat at the bar and were able to talk to him for a little while we sipped our custom crafted beverages. Best cocktails in Bucharest, hands down. (Coming from a person who's lived in NYC)

Came here to have a glass of wine, but since they had a Romanian wine tasting happen as a solo traveler I joined - best decision ever! Tasting of 20 Romanian wines was a great experience with lots of historical background. I was told the tasting was free and I’d only pay for food & water. There is no mention or price of a menu anywhere, so it can be confusing. I had a plate of jamon, burrata, tomatoes, bread and paid 22 eur - so you can expect approx this price if you join. I think it’s an absolute bargain and would recommend this experience to everyone!

I spent an enjoyable hour and a half doing wine tasting with Cornell. He was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, helping me to understand the origins and flavours of what I was sampling and sharing his journey into wine making. The bar itself also has a great atmosphere. I didn't try any food so can't comment on that.

We came there randomly for some local wine tasting. For 5 wines it's 15 eur to taste which is a reasonable price. It was really nice because wines for tasting were local from Romania and owner was very passionate and told us little background about it. Wines were great! We also took some foods- cheese, jamon, olives and bread. All snacks were amazing and highest quality! We really enjoyed all the experience and highly recommend this place !

Absolutely stunning club. Went on a Friday night and the vibe was great. It's a massive club so tables are well spaced out, so pp aren't dancing close to each other, which could be a good or bad thing. The service and entertainment were great. Would visit again.

When the club opens, they wait for the place and tables to be busy. During that time, you can order drinks at the bar or sit down and order food and drinks at a table. There's just music playing in the background with the lights. There's nowhere to sit besides standing off the main floor if you choose not to sit down. There is seating out in the lobby, barely. I ended up leaving after waiting an hour + for the DJ and the night to kick off. I'm sure it gets busy and fun late in the night. The lights and starlit ceiling are cool. It wasn't like a club where you walk in and can start jumping around and enjoying everything. It takes time, it's much of an organized club. The staff was cool. I'm sure it's lit, don't get me wrong. Have fun and be safe.

Lovely polite man in orange jacket encouraged us to come in, I’m so glad he did, the food was delicious. All the staff inside were polite and attentive, especially the lady with beautifully braided hair. We both had chicken dishes, the chicken was beautifully cooked and I would happily visit again. Also worth a note that the cutlery was exceptionally clean, this made me so happy 😀 great cocktails all food very reasonably priced. I have marked down on atmosphere because we specifically asked for the non smoking area, whilst there were signs about smoking one customer ignored them and this went unchallenged by staff even though there was a young family in the non smoking area when we were there and this could affect others with medical issues.

This Pub is located in the Old Town of Bucharest and it has various options to have drinks and foods. We ordered only drinks during a hot summer day and the drinks were nice. Price is reasonable and restaurant provides a nice environment with good music. Nightlife is very fantastic there.

Wonderful bar, and if you’re wanting somewhere to watch some sport then you can’t get better than sitting at the bar here. The staff are so friendly and engage in brilliant conversation, all while being professional with the service. The prices for drinks are really good and the atmosphere is brilliant - a top bar in the Old Town!

Usually it’s 3 time lucky!! Alas no! First place didn’t take my order, second place hadn’t turned on grill, this place, just poor food, tasteless microwave polenta(dried edges, unseasoned, bland, poor), frozen wedges from a packet and lamb pastrami!!! Tasted old, really chewy, had that funny rainbow shimmer meat gets when it’s close to going off. Pickles from the jar we’re ok! That’s my seasoning on the picture btw!! Probably it’s my fault(it’s not) just avoid Lipscani altogether for food!! I was recommended this, by the waiter, as traditional Romanian!!! Really!!!???? 🤣 The guy asked me to put %20 for great service!! (Didn’t ask was food ok, didn’t ask for more drinks) I said what service? He said ok bye!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My husband and I came for a late drink on a Saturday night and had a great time. The cocktails were really good and the DJ and atmosphere outside were exactly the vibe we were after. Our server was nice and friendly.

Food was good but at 8pm they turned on the music so loud as if it was a club. There were only few people sitting at the tables and eating and the music was extremely loud, that you couldn t hear each other at the same table. When i told the waiter it was too loud, he replied “it is a party tonight”. I ll let a picture with the “party”

Very arrogant staff. In the past 2016-2021 it was a very nice place, actually one of my favorites. This evening even though the schedule ending hour is 1:00 am the staff kick us out in a very rude manner, they were saying “we wait 20 people for them”; “if we told you that we closed, we closed, we don’t stay after you” the time it wasn’t even 12:30 am, very, very rude behaviour of the staff, we went to this place many times during the day…but please train you staff something about customer service it was inadmissible and you will loose many clients because of this (by the way we weren’t the only table left)…horrible situation :) Please teach your staff some customer service tips, we were clients that went to this location often but what happened this evening is absolutely inadmissible…Thank you!

We decided to stop by without reservation. We were placed at a small table because it was quite busy, even though it was Tuesday evening. We could have ordered for sure more if the waiter would be paying attention. Even though there were three waiters, none of them really saw us struggling to get their attention, before there passed at least 5 to 10 minutes each time. Not to mention I asked for butter for my Tuna Tartare, which never arrived and we had 4 B52 on the bill. We ordered 4 but received only 2.. The food taste is okay, better displayed than it’s taste. The most disappointing were the chicken tenders and the fries, which were extremely oily. The drinks seemed like the menu says „light cocktails „. Even though I am guessing this dis not mean that they should miss almost entirely the alcohol. Some years ago Entourage was really a treat, right now, I will rather not visit again. To me, to is, it was disappointing.

The atmosphere and music are good, go after sunset because it becomes more cosy and romantic. You MUST make a reservation, otherwise you’ll be waiting for a long time. The waiters are friendly and helpful but it takes some time to get their attention. The food is okay, I recommend the papanași and the NaNa Gin Tonic as I always get them!

Warning: It's very loud! Unless you sit outside. At entrance you have security and staff but they are very friendly. We requested to go inside to order cocktail then sit outside and no problem there. One of the best Long Island Iced Tea. Very comfy outside. Again, very friendly security and staff!

Saturday was quiet through the afternoon but the night was banging! Great service great tunes and great atmosphere, definitely a place to visit on a Saturday night.

Overall I liked it but there were better ones in Bucharest.

Went to this bar for a late night drink with a group of colleagues. Two of us had our phones pickpocketed. Avoid!

The place was ok, had really good music, but the bartender was very rude and disrespectful. He yelled and was taking his time to do nothing, but no action on getting our drinks.

I'm not a cocktail expert but this place had great drinks, great service and a lovely ambience - enhanced by a pair of absolutely wonderful cats that they look after. Came here because our original destination was closed, went for a meal and then came back for more cocktails after. Lovely. Was quiet on a Saturday afternoon at 5.30pm but getting very busy from 9.00pm onwards.

Fantastic cocktail bar with a killer vibe and consistently excellent drinks. The standout for my taste is the Stolen Velvet cocktail - bold, complex, and beautifully layered with Laphroaig 10y. A must-visit for serious cocktail lovers.

I went because the place is rated a solid 5 stars and has promising pictures. If you love cocktails, this is the place. The bartender is very experienced and can explain anything and fulfill requests. You drink and then pay; they take cards and Apple Pay. They give you a glass of water, a tray with cracker sticks, and olives. They asked if I had any allergies before being served. You can make reservations, and there could be reserved spots at the bar, inside, and out. I would suggest checking and calling before going if it's late or a busy day. The workers remembered me. They do pay attention, very nice and quick.

Cozy bar with a big variety of signature and classic cocktails. The stuff are very welcoming and friendly, overall lovely atmosphere. Plus you get to pet a cute cat laying on the bar stool or outside on the bed 🐱💕 10/10 car approved.

Cozy modern cocktail bar. Depending on your mood, can people watch outside or converse indoors. I got the Romanic. Strong stiff cocktail with major plum overtones. Similar to umeshu, but with pure Romanian liquors. Really enjoyed it, but had to take it slow.

The location and sky bar are quite nice, but the sky bar only opens in the afternoon and you don’t need to stay here to take advantage. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the room was hot and muggy, with some bugs (at least on the first night.) I would recommend staying at their sister Hostel (little Bucharest) across the street. They have a nice common area and street level couches to chill. You can always check out the sky bar at night.

While the place has great views and very cool crowd, I had to wait very long in line only to see the bartender chatting up with others (I understand it is a nice thing to do, but not when there's a waiting line in front). When I got to order I saw him only pouring water over a dirty glass to clean it and then served me my cocktail in it. Big no-no.

I was here in a lounge for a meeting. The location was quite hard to find, but the inside was cozy and the people in the other lobby were playing the guitar and it actually made a nice environment for our meeting, it was a great joke opportunity (we were starting to discuss some love stuff and the guitar was just perfectly syncronized). Interesting location overall, central and with a nice view but hard to point out and the way up is exhausting for unfit people.

We only went to the sky bar, so I won't speak about the hostel. Even though it's a charming bar with a nice view, the personnel was very rude. I wanted to order drinks and the waiters/bartenders kept ignoring me. They finally spoke to me as though I was bothering them by just being there. The cocktails I got were average and made with a haste. We drank them and left because the personnel spoiled a lovely evening for us. Such a pity

The bartender who served me was really friendly. As someone who works behind the bar I enjoy chatty bartenders. We had a fun chat about cocktails and he served me a delicious Cosmopolitan. If anyone's ever around the area - definitely stop by! The view from this sky bar is amazing!

Paper thin walls doesn't allow for any sleep if your neighbours are up. No blinds on the windows? Washrooms are terrible - the showers here are a joke. The only good thing is the location and the staff was nice enough but I'm sure there are competitors worth staying at. Would not return.

Perfect spot to end the weekend with a "nightcap" to remember. The price-quality of the drinks is an added bonus to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Came in for a quick drink, but were among the last ones to close the place. Shout out to the best bartendress who had the time to listen to our list of likes and dislikes! Ask the girl with black rimmed glasses for the bartender challenge of your choice and you will be guaranteed bliss <3

Incredible place with mesmerising drinks. This hidden bar is in an old post office, which gives it an authentic vibe. I went for the cocktail tasting menu and it was an amazing experience. Cool place downtown. The bar is covered in a big mailbox and it looks pretty nice. The entrance is not so straight forward as it is hidden behind an old post office door, so it might be a bit difficult to find the location. The atmosphere is intimate. They have a great variety of cocktails. The staff is kind and helpful. Don't expect to find food here 🤣 ( they might have though some finger food upon availability)

I ended up at this place through a recommendation and a bit of chance. The unique menu and ingredient combinations meant that literally every drink I tried was extremely good. Far above the Bucharest average. The design is inspired by a blend of the 80s and 90s in post-communist Bucharest and is very cool. I highly recommend this place. A mind-blowing experience. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but I definitely will. I'll be back!

The vibe, service and cocktails were all amazing. We tried 4 different cocktails and they were all delicious, I was positively surprised as I usually would order only rum cocktails. I am still thinking about them and wish I was back in bucharest at Pamela's! Highly recommended.

Very very cool new spot! Their drinks are super interesting and unique - I had the Raspberry Cold Brew Collins and it was amazing, the gin + cold brew combo is so good!! The atmosphere is great, I love all the decorations and how attentive the staff is as well. This will become one of my Bucharest go-to places from now for sure

This park is Bucharest's equivalent of Central Park in New York. It's a green space that hosts important biodiversity for the city. It's also a popular spot for family outings, with playgrounds, sports facilities, and some of the best restaurants and clubs in town. The park is quite expansive and serves as a little oasis within the city.

Expect a wonderful walk around the entire lake. Must see.

A huge lake with a scenic path along the bank. There are many magnificent swamp green cypresses on the bank. You'll find many good cafes & restaurants here, playgrounds for children, sports grounds. One of the sports ground very old, iron & tough, especially for workout men & women) Only horizontal bar, ladder, rope with knots & pylon(look at it in the last photo)!!! A very good place for running in hot weather, because you are running all distance along the bank with beautiful landscape and in a shadow of trees.

The biggest park in Bucharest! We have enjoyed strolling throughout the park. One may choose to avail the bike rentals but be careful as the bike lanes are allotted in between pedestrian lanes. There are plenty of kiosks to buy local and commercial ice creams, baked goods and drinks. Likewise many restaurants to choose from. Nice view by the lake definitely! It can be crowded in the evening as many families spend time here. Some part of the park requires better maintenance otherwise really beautiful. You can rent a private paddling boat or just buy a ticket for 15 Lei for a 25 minute boat ride like we did because the weather was too hot. You'll better appreciate the place with this short boat tour but no audio guide available. We had late lunch at a big and busy restaurant calles Beraria. There are oftentimes a big event happening here during summer. Though we were surprised how the staffs acted efficiently and they all spoke fluent English as communication for locals was a huge problem in many places. We spend time here pleasurably by visiting at the last moment the the National village museum located also just near the park. An entrance fee of 15 lei for adults. We went there about 1hr before closing time (19:00) which is not enough. Better allot about 2 to 2.5 hours when visiting this museum. Worth the visit!

Beautiful lush green park. Here you can enjoy cycle ride, kayak and kanu in the lake, enjoy local snacks in different stalls and also enjoy food and music in the Hard Rock cafe...so many activity you can here...actually very good place.

Great Atmosphere, but a Bit Pricey. I recently visited the Van Gogh Cafe and was very impressed with the overall atmosphere. The place is decorated with beautiful reproductions of Van Gogh's paintings, creating a unique and artistic environment. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy the ambiance, especially if you're a fan of his work. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight. The soft lighting and the famous art pieces make for a very pleasant and aesthetic experience. It's a fantastic place to meet up with friends or to simply unwind with a good book. As for the food, the quality was good, but the prices were on the higher side. We ordered 1 set of french toast but the waiter brought 2 and we didn't have the heart to return it. While I enjoyed what I ordered, I felt that the cost was a bit expensive for what was offered. The selection was decent, and the flavors were solid, but it's not the place to go if you're looking for a budget-friendly meal. Overall, I would recommend the Van Gogh Cafe for its excellent atmosphere and quality food. Just be prepared to pay a little extra for the unique experience.

From the moment I stepped inside Grand Café Van Gogh, I was enchanted. The café’s décor is nothing short of art — every corner tells a story, with Van Gogh-inspired paintings, vibrant blue and yellow accents, and fresh flowers gracing each table. The atmosphere feels warm, bright, and beautifully curated. I ordered the omelette and the pancakes. The omelette was perfectly cooked — fluffy, flavorful, and satisfying. The pancakes, however, were the highlight: topped with fresh strawberries and a cloud of whipped cream, they were simply amazing. The sweetness was balanced, and the strawberries tasted fresh and juicy. As for the service — the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. They treated every guest with care, and their warm smiles added to the overall experience. Whether you’re a traveler or local, I would absolutely recommend stopping by Grand Café Van Gogh if you’re in Romania (especially Bucharest). I know I’ll return myself.

As good as the photos online show. Each room filled with Van Gogh pictures you can view as you eat delicious food. We tried both the French Toast and the pancakes and both delicious. We arrived at 12 on a Friday and had no wait to get a seat inside. (In November). Friendly staff and fast service. Once you've eaten free to have a wander and see the other rooms. Definitely a nice place with a good vibe and something different.

We heard about this place and decided to go. We just had hot chocolate - which was the best hot chocolate I've had in years! We also had a starter called sweet corn nuggets. It was very good. My husband had a traditional Romanian dessert called Coliva. We liked everything we ordered. The atmosphere is nice with plenty of Van Gough's artwork to admire as you sit there. Great vibe.

Centrally located, easy to find. The stuff is kind, but as expected, the tips are included in your final bill, so I will expect nothing less. We got only drinks, they were good and the coffee was tasty. There is no water served with your coffee (not even a small glass) as in Italy or other places in the world. This place is pricey, but given the fact that you are in the center and is heavily touristic, is normal. The atmosphere is nice. Pay attention to the additional rooms and don’t jump in the first one.

I loved the concept of this café since I'm a Van Gogh admirer. The staff was very attentive, they showed me all rooms so I could decide where I wanted to sit. I didn't have to wait that much for my order and it was delicious! This place is definitely worth a visit!

Very welcoming restaurant serving food even after 11 PM. The place is quiet and at only a few hundred meters from the frenzy of Calea Victoriei. The personnel is very friendly and the food is rather good at decent prices. I recommend the flavoured home made natural lemonades.

I had an excellent Beef Salad 🥗 in this pub, I really enjoyed it, service was by an extremely friendly waitress, really nice and took me through the food and drink options. It was wonderfully aircon so really pleasant space to have a meal. 🥘 I would definitely go back a real gem 💎 in the old town.

This place is dog friendly which makes it amazing from the start. The staff is extremely friendly, considerate, and thoughtful. Two of the employees came and ask to bring a bowl of water to our dog. The food is nice, however they don’t really deliver steaks as required in terms of rare/medium/well-done. My steak came more on the colder side and even though I asked for a rare steak it came medium. Other than that I really enjoyed this place.

Was with a large group of co-workers. Ordered Antricot de Vita MEDIUM, they served it medium rare. Worse, they cut the meat in slices which you never do unless you make a lousy salad. So the 160ron beef was not what i asked, 2 out of 5 stars. Now the Creme Brule, you can check the picture, this is not creme brule, this is just a sweet soup burnt on the top. Worst desert i ever ate, 1 out of 5 stars. If I had to pay for this I would've asked for my money back. Disrespectul towards the customer and incompetent cooks. PS: everyone who had the steam complained it was not medium and it was too rare...

The food was really good! Loved the composition of the meals and the portions were big. We were served by a very friendly waitress in the outside dinig area, which is very relaxed. Prices might be a bit expensive, but still liked the experience.

Lovely place! Every member of staff was super efficient and warm. It was genuinely the best service I've experienced in Romania. Tony in particular was friendly and attentive. The whole place had a chilled, easy going energy with high quality food and amazing margaritas. Definitely worth a visit.

Paint on the swing seats, well done! Thankfully it was mostly on the skin that can be washed and the dress was open. If you have expensive clothes and want to ruin them then this is the right place for you! Also cappuccino was bad. Water with no ice in the glass in summer but they ask tips for coffee.

We stumbled across the bar/cafe after a very long day travelling from Bristol. With a need to have a hot chocolate the barman kindly made us one without it being on the menu. The setting was perfect and I can image the atmosphere to be good on a lovely summers evening.

Excellent food and service. A little obscure but just a short walk from the old town and easy to find. Had a Truffle Risotto, Carrot Salad, Lemonade and a flat white; all good.

We had the steak and eggs and two of their special coffees (egg nog and cold chocolate). Everything was very good. The restaurant has charming outside garden seating too. The brunch menu includes a free specialty coffee; it’s a good deal. Don’t try to order from the dinner menu before 15:30!

Great wine and beer garden. Friendly service. Nice food. The charcuterie board was tasty and generous. During happy hour (until 6pm each day) you can get a free bottle of wine with any 2 food purchases (appetizer, salad, main). Definitely visit this place if you're after a relaxed setting away from the old town.

It’s essentially a U-shaped alleyway that has cover from the sun, wind and rain. There are a bunch of bars on both sides of the alleyway which put out tables on the walkway, making it a bit hard to pass through but at the same time contributing to the nice ambience of the place. The only thing I didn’t like was that the alleyway is considered outside seating so many people smoke, even if the smoke gets trapped in because of the cover.

Really nice setting for a drink and something to eat. Quite comical that when you sit down (restaurant/bar workers will try and coax you in) all you see is wanna be influencers walking through with their Go Pros trying to get some "content". The prices for drinks are reasonable but verging on the higher side that you'd expect to pay. I imagine it comes with the location. Be cautious when you look up as there has clearly been issues with pigeons in the past and there was a few dead ones just laying on the pest netting. Worth a visit 😁

Villa Cross Passage is one of those hidden little corners in Bucharest that you might walk past without noticing — but once you step inside, it feels like a different world. It’s a narrow, covered passage connecting two busy streets, lined with small cafés, vintage shops, and a few quirky bars that give it a really bohemian and artistic atmosphere. The place has that old Bucharest charm — a bit worn around the edges, with its faded walls and dim lighting, but that’s exactly what makes it special. It feels authentic, not over-polished or touristic. During the day it’s quiet and photogenic, especially if you like urban photography; at night it comes alive with music and conversation from the nearby bars. It’s not a big place, but definitely worth passing through if you’re exploring the city center. A small detour that captures perfectly the mix of history, creativity, and urban life that defines Bucharest

Definitely more a wine bar than a place to eat unless you are going for a cheese platter. I wanted the Tomahawk steak but was told it would take too long to cook. Fair enough. Then I asked for the normal steak and they were all out. So I settled fir the lamb chops and my wife had the duck breast. All very tasty, came with potato wedges with some cheese sprinkled on top. Our starter of very tasty bruchetta also only arrived mid way through our mains. However the wine was delicious and waiters friendly and knowledgeable on all the wines. There's also an outside area for smokers and a secret room in the basement that you could probably hire out.

I accidentally found this wine bar by searching in google. First impression was okay but the more we stay the better it became. Didn’t order any fancy wine, just simple Romanian and found it great. The vibe inside was nice on the contrary of the outside which seemed a little neglected (maybe the poor condition of the alley outside gave us that impression). The platter I order took quite some time to come but it was rewarding. The DJ (Ignatiu?) when spotted out nationality started to play Greek songs which was amazing and enhanced our experience. The price was also reasonable. Love and regards from Greece 🇬🇷

We choose to try this as it was conveniently located in the Old Town. We arrived without a reservation and was met by Irina who offered to do a full Romanian wine tasting for us even though she had other customers. She handled this perfectly. She explained very well the various wine regions in Romania, which area was known for the various types and the history. Irina was professional but also showed personality and we are extremely happy and grateful for her service. Don’t think we would be this lucky elsewhere. 10/10

The wine tasting was thoroughly disappointing. We were provided with a map of the regions, and this was the most information we received about the regions and terroirs throughout. We tried to enquire about the grapes, but the information we received was one sentence long before he had to run to another group. In all fairness he did seem to manage far topp many groups at the same time. This was not an actual wine tasting. At most, I would characterise it as a wine package of mediocre wine (this is not a criticism of the Romanian wine in general, as we have been raving about it all through our trip). We were told the tasting would cost 115 per person including some bread, cheese and olives. During our first glass of mediocre wine, we were informed that the price was 130. After receiving Doritos, plain crackers and grissini (in their plastic package), we enquired after the cheese, bread and olives. We were told that no food was not included and that he did not bring cheese, wine and olives to us as the owner tried to push up the prices. However, we could order extra. This would also cost more. The sommelier (perhaps a sommelier, maybe just some guy) made some jokes. Some of them might have been funny if we somehow felt we were on an actual wine tasting, and had not felt cheated at the end of it. We drank our wine and then went for a charcuterie board elsewhere. The food elsewhere was delicious.

Was traveling around the Old Town in Bucharest and looking for a place to enjoy a proper aperitivo, as a good Italian deserves on an end-of-summer Friday. It was amazing — Romanian wine definitely approved! 🍷 The pub was full, the crew super busy, and when the time came to pay, we had a little issue with our bill. But we were assisted right away, the mistake was quickly fixed, and we even got another glass of wine on the house. Highly recommended!

I came in for a private wine tasting and Danny was absolutely wonderful. There was another couple also doing a tasting and as it started to rain and we had to move closer we decided to just do it together. Well we wind up spending the evening and ordering the charcuterie board and having fun with Danny and ordering some more wine and I will probably go back tomorrow after I get back from my viator excursion because corks cozy wine bar is just too good to pass up

Absolutely loved Biutiful by the Lake! The tomato salad with bread was such a perfect combo – fresh and full of flavor. After a long walk in the park, the pink lemonade was exactly what I needed – so refreshing. The view was beautiful and the service was excellent. Thank you for a great experience!

We visited on a Saturday around 3 PM as a group of four adults and two toddlers, all appropriately dressed for a casual afternoon outing. Despite the lounge being visibly empty—less than 10% occupied—we were told there were no available tables which felt exclusionary and unwelcoming to families with young children. To make matters worse, the hostess at the entrance spoke to us in a disrespectful tone, which added to the unpleasant experience. It felt as though children were simply not welcome, regardless of how quiet or well-behaved they might be. Very disappointing. Shame on you for treating families this way.

Wow...what a great place to wind down a hectic day. Food was really fantastic. Everything we order was just perfect. Waiters are very polite and can speak fluent English. The best thing is the sound quality. you can still vibe with the music while do chit chat with your friends. Fully recommended. Try out there sweet dishes....

I came without booking on a Saturday at 12 pm. It was totally empty but when I left around 1 pm the tables were starting to get busy. The breeze and calm are a great match, specially after a long walk around the lake. Didn’t try any local dishes, but a tasty salad with a local beer

I absolutely loved this dining experience. The simplicity of the setup made this place stand out, it's very organic and light and despite some of the pretentious patrons it is a great setting with views of the boating lake. I doubt the experience will be as great in the winter months as I imagine it will be very cold as the building is designed more for summer dining. The service was brilliant, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and courteous and understanding of my lack of Romanian language as it didn't seem to be an issue at all. The food..... AMAZING! Lack of chicken on the menu aside, the menu was varied and very well thought out. Once we had finally decided what to eat, there was zero disappointment. The food arrived hot, well presented and very flavoursome. A great setting for the large group of us, glad we booked in advance.
