Pub
The Bowling Green is a spacious pub designed in the mock-Tudor style, featuring an inviting open fire and outdoor seating. The establishment offers a diverse menu with hearty international cuisine, including options for vegetarians and vegans. Visitors can expect flavorful dishes such as the newly introduced Greek-Style Salad from the vegetarian and vegan menu. The venue has received praise for its pleasant staff, extensive menu selection, and beautiful surroundings.
Nice and big, friendly staff and good value. A real stick in the mud about honoring a discounted Childs pudding because I failed to order it at the same time as the meal. There are always workarounds in the name of good customer service! But apart from that would recommend.

We went for a late Wednesday lunch with no booking. There was plenty of space to park but double check regarding price. Great outdoor space for warm days. There a roaring fire on one side of the pub. Lovely staffs as they call out to us when we walk in. We place our order at the pub with our table numbers. It was 20min wait and one of the order came out wrong, the manager apologise and we got a free beer as apology. It is a lovely place and we will go again. The only lack was when we finish our meal it did take 30min for them to notice before they took our plate away.

Came to The Bowling Green on Saturday 12th July 2025 for Lunch. 12:00 table booked. Plenty of car parking at that time. Need to ensure you enter your car registration inside to get free parking. Despite the nice weather, we dined inside, was nice and fresh and temperature was just right. Emma who served us was really nice, welcoming and friendly. We ordered drinks and then the food. The waiting time was ok. Food was plentiful and well presented and most importantly tasted really nice. Highly recommend.
Michael B — Google review
A bit of a date night for me and the Mrs — we were really looking forward to it. The place looked great from the outside and just as nice inside. Drinks were on the expensive side, but it matched the overall classy atmosphere of the building. Now, onto the food… I was expecting higher-than-normal standards given the look and busy vibe of the place. Unfortunately, my steak was fatty and undercooked. I know everyone has their own preference, but when I ask for well-done, I expect it to come that way. That alone wouldn’t have made me leave a review, but the chips — yes, the chips — were the real letdown. I’ve honestly had better from my local chippy. How can you undercook chips? It’s a bit embarrassing, really. So, even though the plate looked good, the actual quality of the cooking was well below par. Hence the score of 1. Lesson learned — and we move on
S R — Google review
Lovely food, staff were attentive and happy to help. Our server Emma was very nice. Would recommend.
Ben T — Google review
We booked a table for tonight, Saturday August 23rd. When we arrived we went to our reserved table and ordered food and drinks at the bar. I had the signature steak & Guinness pie with mash' veg and gravy. I absolutely loved it, very tasty, hot and well presented. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was good. Will definitely return here as the food and service was outstanding! Emily and Sam were very friendly and helpful.
Diane — Google review
Had a lovely meal absolutely spot on. Both the bar and waiting staff were professional, friendly and polite. We turned up without booking and got a table no probs. It was lovely to see it so busy and as there was a pub quiz there was hardly empty tables which is great to see especially mid week. Would highly recommend.
Kerry S — Google review
Great pub, food was lovely. The lighting is very dark and lots of the tables and chairs are very high up (bar stools and tables) great if your tall but not if your short! Barman found us a normal table thank goodness. Would definitely visit again, but would make sure when booking we get a normal table.

Brewpub
Nestled in the charming city of Lichfield, Brewhouse & Kitchen offers a delightful blend of house-brewed beers and hearty British comfort food, making it an ideal spot for families and friends alike. This unique pub chain stands out in the West Midlands with its quirky atmosphere and commitment to craft brewing. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing pint while savoring delicious weekend brunch options or simply unwinding after a day of exploring the area.
We had a great Sunday dinner at this place. I had accidentally booked for two instead of eight…. But still the waiter was ever so accommodating and professional, and sorted everything for us. The food was also really tasty, genuinely delicious (not just boiled tasteless defrosted vegetables) and we had very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.
Cyrielle M — Google review
Lovely venue, amazing ale selection with a good range of other drinks. Own ale is brewed here and .you can have Brewery experiences. They also serve food, which we didn't have, but my goodness it looked amazing! Totally dog friendly in all areas, treats readily available for the pooch. Lovely little beer garden and there are plenty of ceiling fans, which in 30 degree hear was greatly appreciated. Up to 6pm at night Real ale is only £3.50 a pint, and absolute bargain, especially as the ale is really high quality. I would highly recommend the Brewhouse and will to again very soon!
Lisbeth W — Google review
We visited this pub twice on the same day !! First time was for a swift drink before going for a meal. Took advantage of the offer of £3.50 for one of their own brewed pints of bitter. Second time we visited we had a tasting flight of their own brewed ales. Great ales both times. Great choice of beers (not just their own) and friendly obliging staff. Child-friendly and does food - what's not to like. Definitely recommend.
Andy B — Google review
Do not recommend. Chicken was severely under cooked for over 10 people in our group after waiting over an hour from sitting. The only reason I’m giving it higher stars is due to the service we received from the male server on today. Was so apologetic and refunded all of the main meals from the group. Couldn’t fault him
Jay — Google review
Booked a work space for me and my colleague here, staff were attentive and will in particular was lovely, kept us fed and topped up with drinks. I will definitely book this space again and I’ve recommended it to my colleagues. ☺️
Samantha R — Google review
Fish and chips for two, £17 each. small, dried-up, curly thin fish; mostly batter. Not worth the money. Drinks were fine. Nice place. Burgers looked nice. Live and learn.
David E — Google review
First time here today and I was absolutely impressed with the food and atmosphere. I had a 1/2 Chicken Sunday Roast, the chicken was juicy and everything else was fresh. One of my friends had the Fish and Chips and that dish was really nice as well. A really big portion, definitely worth the money. Sydney the waitress is such a lovely and patient staff member.
D874 — Google review
We went here for the Sunday lunch and whilst the service was good enough the food was quite lacklustre. The roast beef was overcooked and the few vegetables on the plate were considerably undercooked. The size and quality of the dinner for the price is simply not worth it. There are places that offer better roasts for a similar price nearby.

The Quill and Scholar is a charming new Heartwood Inn located in the historic city of Lichfield, just a short walk from the iconic Lichfield Cathedral. The inn offers a delightful blend of heritage and seasonal cuisine, making it an ideal spot for exploring Staffordshire's landmarks or taking a leisurely stroll through Beacon Park.
This place is amazing, I’ve been at least a dozen times and it’s always consistent. This is the first time I’ve ever said this, so today went with five friends, four had never been so hoped it would still be without fault. Guess what still excellent. Thank you and a huge thank you too Gabriela who looked after us with style.

The staff were incredible. Funny, welcoming, polite, helpful...the list goes on. They really are a massive asset to the business. The food was tremendous. Lovely presentation and fantastic flavours. The venue itself is tastefully decorated and has a really nice feel to it. I'd happily recommend The Quill and Scholar to anyone. We will definitely be back.
Stimpy G — Google review
Extremely friendly and welcoming staff who interacted really well with my child, making our visit much smoother. Fantastic kids menu and the ice cream is made extra special with a huge choice of toppings for an extra £2. Adults menu is great too, got to try at least one soufflé, you’ll find three on the menu. Great food, service and atmosphere. Will be back again soon.
Josie W — Google review
The plates were fresh and colourful and the flavours were bold and earthy. You could tell everything had been prepared with care as each component of the dish had the texture and flavour spot on. The mushrooms had a nice bite, the sauce was creamy and the gnocchi was crunchy and delicious -- the garnish further elevated the flavour. I also tried some of my partners dish which had a strong, savoury flavour very in tune with traditional British Cuisine and I tried a bit of the horseradish iced cream from my partner's mother's terrine which had a sharp but creamy and refreshing flavour. The bread came with a slightly sweet balsamic and oil for vegans and it matched the crunch of the bread perfectly. The olives were really high quality and had a perfect flavour (I forgot to photograph these prior to eating them) all and all the ambience of the restaurant was lovely and felt very upscale like it'd be ideal for a special occasion. What you get is worth exactly what you pay for it as the portions are perfect and don't leave you feeling hungry afterwards, it's truly worth a visit.

Table of 4. Food was nice and well presented. My soup starter had skin on it which meant it had sat sat a while, but was still tasty. The crab n sweetcorn bites were nice. Pie (had a shop brought feel too it?) was tasty with tender meat, and onion gravy was nice. The Fish was moist n tasty. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The restaurant itself lacked a little ambulance.
Lil M — Google review
I had very high expectations for this place but took my mother there for a bit of lunch today and was very unimpressed. I ordered the grilled steak and chips and my mother ordered the haddock , I then got told that they had no steak (understandable if they have had a busy weekend) So I ordered the steak and ale pie . The pie was dry and had no taste at all , the gravy that came with said pie was more like brown water rather than a gravy and the haddock was equally underwhelming. Safe to say would not return, There are Much nicer places to eat in Lichfield

This venue is excellent for dinner. The evening was relaxed, and the servers were friendly and attentive. The quality of the food was high, and the portion sizes were appropriate. The ambience is that of a laid-back dining establishment. Given the high quality of our meal, we felt the prices were very competitive.

The Horse & Jockey is a delightful spot that has clearly stood the test of time, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere for diners. After years away, visitors are often pleasantly surprised by the piping hot meals served here, with standout dishes like delicious burgers and hearty shepherd's pie. The staff exude friendliness and professionalism, ensuring that every guest feels welcome without being overwhelmed. While some may notice a slight musty smell due to the building's age, it doesn't detract from the overall experience.

Can’t believe we have been charge for a dash of lemonade in a pint of lager !!!! Last few visits no charge but today on our second drinks order we were x charge 75 p for a dash of lemonade ….. weights and measures suggest it shouldn’t be priced as your getting a short measure of lager …. Search google!!

This place is cozy, the food is delicious and the service is very good. Highly recommended, we advise you to book in advance otherwise it gets very crowded.

I visited here with my mom last week, I have to say what a lovely little pub, cosy and warm, plenty of parking, spotlessly clean. I think the review about a ‘cat throwing up’ must be mistaken for another pub, there is certainly no cats In here, I even asked the staff about it and they said they don’t allow cats, only dogs! Anyway, I had lasagne which was delicious and my mom had steak and ale pie. Lasagne, pie and mash all homemade, piping hot and very tasty. Reasonable prices, big portions and lovely friendly staff. We will definitely be returning soon! Thanks again
Laura J — Google review
We visited the sister pub, The Red Lion at Hopwas after a good first experience, but was full when we tried to revisit, so thought we would try the Horse and Jockey after that experience. It was quiet, but the food was fantastic. It was like home cooked food, not like the portion controlled chain pubs, we had southern fried chicken, fish and chips, steak burger and hunters chicken. Will definitely try both places again. 5*

All Good But They Are Very Stingey on The Chilli Con Carne Portion Sizes. We went for Sunday lunch for mothers day. All good, staff were friendly and helpful and the Land Lady even got us a cushion for my 103 year old grandmother. Food took a while to arrive, When it arrived all the meals were good except mine. We had a lasagne, a roast beef dinner, steak and chips and finally my meal - chilli con carne. All my families meals were a decent size except mine. The actual chiili con carne part was a very small portion indeed. So we questioned it and the waiter went off to check and returned to tell us 'The chef says thats the size it comes as'. So I sat and ate my modest portion. There was loads of plain rice on my plate but sadly lacking on chilli con carne. Later on when we came to pay we mentioned it again and was told by a different waiter they are set sizes. So we said back to him if you could pass on our feedback about the portion of chilli con carne was way too small. So that kind of ruined our experience really. Please see attched photo of my overly modest portion as it looked when the waiter placed it down on the table.

A really lovely family meal. The food was wonderful and the staff friendly Definitely will be back
Sharon C — Google review
Have visited several times this year (normally whilst on an outbound leg to Lichfield) and in general experiences have been reasonably good. Baguette lunch options are very good value for money (you get an awful lot) and there may be room to consider and actively market a ’Half portion’ option for the younger or elderly smaller appetite. Of the remainder of the menu, this seems expensive for what it is – on one occasion I tried this and ordered a Lasagne: it arrived with the Cheese topping dripping with oil and grease – this tasted awful and I ate maybe a quarter of this before my gag reflex overtook and I felt physically sick. Once bitten, twice shy, and I have stuck with the baguette option ever since… The interior of the Restaurant has a ‘distressed’ decorative finish which some my find visually downtrodden: that being said, the Toilet facilities are the cleanest and brightest encountered to date – so hygiene is evidently a high priority here. Overall, I am awarding 4 stars: whilst there is room for some improvement (particularly in reflecting a very successful menu formula already operational at a sister operation (Red Lion, Hopwas), I am not going to kick, and am a firm believer in supporting and promoting the Independent Licensees’ fresh meal provision efforts by comparison with nearby ‘Chain Pub Airline Catering’ options.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Lichfield, the Kings Head stands as a charming testament to history, being the oldest coaching inn in the area and dating back to the 15th century. This dog-friendly pub not only boasts a rich heritage as the birthplace of what is now known as the Mercian Regiment but also offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration.
Lovely pub , food was lovely. Had a great homemade cottage pie with chips & peas & gravy . Excellent service. Good sensible food prices ,they also have a lunch time special munu which is very good value for money. Friendly couple behind the bar. The beer is ok . But that's a personal preference, I'm not really a massive lover of Marston's ales on tap . So I opted for the Neck oil session IPA instead..... . Can't go wrong with that although it is an expensive pint ! ....We will definitely go back again . Highly recommend the place .
ANTHONY S — Google review
My partner and I made a spur of the moment decision to treat ourselves to lunch whilst in Lichfield shopping. There was no contest for what eatery to visit. It had to be the Kings Head, his favourite pub in his youth, and I think still is. The place was cosy and welcoming. Bar staff were friendly. We found a table with comfy seats, by the window so we could people watch, although it seemed a slow day in the city. Hubby went to the bar and got us a drink each, served by a friendly barman. Seated comfortably near the fireplace we perused the menu. There seemed to be enough range for any appetite. Our order of food arrived, and it was well presented, tasty great value and a generous portion. We only had room for one course, but a great choice of menu, value for money, tasty beer, and a pop for me, the driver, and the inviting atmosphere all mean we will be back again soon.

A lovely historical pub with friendly staff. Went in for Sunday roast. The beef was a bit tough but all the trimmings were great, excellent ale. Enjoyed the atmosphere and decorations very much! Will definitely come back 👍😊

Have been coming here for many years. Food now is excellent and appears to been freshly cooked on site. None of the processed food from Brakes. Have always ordered beers, ciders or wine. On this occasion I ordered 20oz of Pepsi Max without ice as confirmed on the receipt. However was only served 14oz, and all the bar staff refused to top the glass up. Apparently it is Marston's policy that only 14oz should be served with 6oz of solidified water to make it up to 20oz.

Second time visiting the kings head on a Monday. Me and my partner both had seniors meal plus desert. Both times food excellent. Service is great. The lads that were both serving food and drinks are a god send. Lovely atmosphere as well and prices very reasonable. Will definitely be back again.

I haven't eaten at this venue. But as a military fan this pub is brilliant. A place where the South Staffordshire Regt was formed. You can feel the history. A true traditional pub. Wheelchair friendly A good choice of drinks. Well worth a visit.

I visit this pub frequently. Great atmosphere, feels safe and welcoming. Very traditional British pub filled with lots of history and memorabilia. Staff are all friendly and kind. Drinks are good. Sunday Roast lunch is fantastic. Ladies bathroom is always spotlessly clean.

Excellent atmosphere, it was jam packed on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of large parties in attendance. All of the staff were very pleasant, polite and delivered excellent service. Our chosen venue for this years New Years Eve celebrations. Definitely one of Lichfield's revived go to social venues.

Quiet when we went on a Monday afternoon. Lovely beer garden with enough shade to protect customers from the hot sun. Toilet facilities are really nice. Pub gets really busy at weekends and evenings, so be prepared to stand and wait for a while to be served. Excellent Real ale selection. Dog friendly in bar area and beer garden.

I visited the pub today. I was landlady here July 2001 what an amazing transformation the pub has had. Looks amazing. The beer garden is fantastic. Great pint of Pedigree. Staff and landlird were the perfect hosts. Great place for an afternoon drink. Will definitely return again when on the area. I live in sw Spain and miss good old English pubs.

A lovely pub, we had our dogs in tow but it’s a dog friendly place, a warm welcome and quick friendly service is always a nice start. We sat in the very nice garden area at the back, nice composite decking, very pleasant. We didn’t eat this time but may do when we return. Noticed live Sky footy in part of the main pub. When staff are so nice and attentive you rarely go wrong. We’ll done Horse & Jockey

Sunday lunch was an absolute disaster. Raw veg, black edges in the cabbage, parsnips you couldn’t cut through. Chewy Yorkshires too. Added to the fact the floors are filthy and the staff aren’t arsed, we will not be coming back here. And based on the car park a lot of other people have also made that decision.

Great little pub, been in here a few times on a Saturday evening. Always seems to be buzzing. It’s an old small pub so can get packed. Good selection of drinks. They do food too, but I haven’t eaten there. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Needs to be visited.

What a marvellous find, a trip back to the day when pubs were pubs, something that Joules seem to do so well. We'll return, find a b & b and spend a session here, what a glorious little gem.

We was in Lichfield for a concert and spent th afternoon on the sesh. This was out first stop and it was like hitting the jackpot on the first throw of the dice. A unique place, with great beers and superb bar snack options. The lad serving was a gentleman waiting for us patiently to go through our options and poured them and said he'd bring them over. We also had some butties, a porkie pie and scotch egg which was served on a slate beautifully. The inside is just unique, a wholesome enjoyable place. So much so we returned after the concert and again the staff serving were pleasant laughing over barmcake/cob dialect and just a real nice place , with nice people and atmosphere amongst the light entertainment from the singer in the background. Superb

The Duke of York in Lichfield offers a delightful outdoor space, making it perfect for enjoying summer evenings with entertainment. Visitors appreciate the extensive snack options and the dog-friendly environment with a charming pub garden. The homemade pork pies and sausage rolls are highly recommended, along with an impressive variety of beers, rums, gins, and whisky.
Cracking pub with some great Joules ales all fresh as a daisy and super tasty. Thw staff are very friendly ans attentive and knowledgeable of the beers always offering a small sample before you buy. Awful service and awful noise. The lounge bar was not busy but we were served by rude staff. We felt like they were annoyed at us ordering drinks. We were then told we had to leave at 6pm because we had under 18s with us/ if we had known we would not have bothered going in. luckily we had already decided to leave as there was a very loud person making noise with a guitar and harmonica who was awful. No discussion, no debate, we were told to leave. The only thing we were happy about was leaving.

Nice pub with a great authentic look but the real ale wasn't the best. It's still worth a visit and has a beer garden.

A great Joules Brewery pub. A fantastic vibe. Great beer. Big beer garden. My favourite pub in Lichfield
Richard E — Google review
Visited on 3 occasions and ordered a pint of Joules pale ale on cask. Everytime it's been stale - tastes vinegar. Didn't taste like they had an aspirator (good) but having 4 or 5 casks on the go when you simply don't have the volume (bad). Very disappointing as I've yet to have a decent pint of Joules anywhere.

Pub
Queens Head is a legendary and friendly pub just outside of downtown, offering top-quality Real Ales and a huge cheese counter. It's known for serving some of the best British ales in Lichfield and offers the biggest CAMRA discount in the area. The staff are highly competent and welcoming, with special treats for furry friends. This traditional pub has excellent well-kept ale, a great atmosphere, and very friendly and welcoming staff. It's definitely worth a visit!
I have been in a couple of times on Mondays since the new landlady has taken over. I have to say what a great warm, welcoming experience it has been. It is very friendly with a community atmosphere. They do bar snacks, various rolls, pork pie slices and hot drinks. Rolls were very nice and went well with the excellent hand pulled beers on offer. There is also a dartboard and other games available.

Called in on Sunday evening as we were staying at the premier inn less than one minutes walk away .First impression was a lovely warm welcome by the landlady and some of her local clientele.we Immediately felt that this was a good choice.there was a good selection of beers available.Having seen on another review they had pork pies I asked if we could have one ,unfortunately they were unavailable (it was late evening on a Sunday)But we were offered the cheese platter as an alternative.this was an excellent choice especially the cheese with Gin,Later crisps & pork scratchings also with more beer. There had been live music earlier in the evening. Also we were told there would be fish & chips on Monday.. If we lived here it would be definitely our local.Thank you to Ben the friendly bar tender & the young lady that I thought was a member of staff for the entertaining evening the good choice of music and the other locals that gave the pub an excellent atmosphere.

Super friendly pub. Lovely staff. It's currently in the process of being redecorated and looking really good. Very dog friendly. Our dog loved it, and it's frequented regularly by singing legend Tony Christie who was in there when we visited!

What an incredible pub. The landlady is wonderful and really knowledgeable. The beer is kept in very good condition. A very welcoming and hospitable environment with really fast efficient service. A really strong customer focused experience. The landlady is so friendly and welcoming, I would really recommend a visit and a chat with her.

Well without banging on this pub is just awesome. Andrea has turned this pub around, it has atmosphere, great beer, and you can't fault the baps. When you walk in the greeting is always the same a warm smile, it always feels like you have been away and you have come back to your family. This is a must visit in Lichfield you will not be disappointed in any shape or form.

Lovely warm and welcoming Marstons pub in Queens Street in Lichfield, no food but tasty Cobs, Pork Pie and coffee are available. Very friendly and chatty bar staff. There is a sun trap of a beer garden alongside with plenty of tables and chairs. A hidden gem of a pub, well worth a visit.

Met up with a few friends as we were on our way out and stumbled across this gem of a pub! We nipped in as the intention was to start our night with a quick pint but ended up staying for what can only be... more than expected! We even joined in with the quiz and lost but it was a right laugh and I think the manager was called Andrea? Apologies if im wrong but she was an amazing host to not just what must be the regulars but also to us! Definitely be back and hopefully win the quiz? Maybe? Lol Thank you once again!

Best pint I've had in years. Very friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. They bought my daughter a colouring book and crayons. I was visiting from thailand and they were so kind and polite. Wonderful place for a pint and a chat. I'd give them 10 stars.

Used to love coming here when I came over to Lichfield however last night (15/03/25) I had a different experience. I am a 22 year old female and I was pushed to the floor and punched across the face by a grown man on the dance-floor, the man was escorted out and me and my friends was also kicked out after we did nothing wrong. I asked to speak to the manager and got told no, not once did a bouncer ask me if I was okay whilst we was waiting for the police (which we had to call ourselves) and when I was trying to explain what happened to the bouncer he was looking around everywhere not even listening. I always thought bouncers was supposed to make you feel safe and I thought pubs had a duty of care but this definitely wasn’t the case last night and I will not be returning.

A few if us stopped here for drinks before dinner. Our waiter was very friendly. The atmosphere was similar to a speakeasy but not hidden. Very comfy seating. I got a gin julep type drink- It had lots of ice on top - I feel it could have had more drink.

This place is quite simply brilliant. It's classy, it's quirky, it's fun and - for what it is - it is not at all expensive. Greeted warmly at the door, shown to a table, great drinks menu and table service from friendly and efficient staff. Everything was slick and professional whilst being super friendly. Beautifully decorated and furnished room and with the perfect music it felt like we were in an up-market Chicago speakeasy in the days of prohibition. We only went in for one quick drink but ended up staying for three whilst working out how we could find an excuse to come back to Lichfield in order to revisit The Spiritualist.

I usually really like this bar and have had plenty of good experiences here, but my last visit was honestly disappointing. I booked a table with some friends who hadn’t ever been to the spiritualist. I’d told them about how brilliant all of my last visits had been and they were really looking forward to going. However, it was definitely not the best first impression. It wasn’t even busy, yet we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive. In that time, a couple who sat down after us had already received their drinks, finished them, and left. The staff were polite and friendly as always, but the service was painfully slow and unorganized. It’s a shame because this place is normally great — hopefully this was just an off night, but it definitely put me off coming for a while.

This establishment exudes a remarkable atmosphere, with a welcoming and friendly energy that is both elegant and vibrant. Upon arrival, patrons are promptly seated at the bar where they can enjoy their drinks and pre-order an assortment of tapas. The staff is highly attentive, ensuring that all needs are met. Once a table becomes available, guests are comfortably seated in the cozy yet bustling space. The cuisine served here is fresh, flavorful, and satisfyingly light.
Absolutely stunning Solid 10/10 experience. We own a restaurant and are pretty fussy when eating out, but couldn't find fault at all. Poquito smash it our the park. Relaxed setting, stunning food, excellent service and great value small plates Keep up the good work guys, love what you do!!!

We visited on a quiet Wednesday evening and really enjoyed the setting. The interior design and music created a warm, relaxed atmosphere and the service was excellent - friendly, polite, and made us feel very welcome. We ordered three tapas dishes along with a beer and a cocktail, which came to £45. The food was nicely presented and tasted good, though quite familiar – nothing particularly unique compared to other tapas we’ve had in the UK. While we enjoyed what we had and didn’t expect to be full up, we did leave feeling a bit peckish, so the value felt slightly underwhelming for what we received. That said, it’s a lovely place with great service and a nice vibe. We had a pleasant evening overall, just something to keep in mind if you’re after something more filling or looking for standout flavours.

I absolutely loved my visit here and I will definitely be back soon! I visited recently when it was incredibly warm and as soon as we were seated, we were given a cold glass of water and greeted by with lovely smiles by all members of staff. The food was absolutely incredible and so tasty. I would recommend everything we ate but the charcuterie board was lovely. We had a lovely bottle of wine and the staff came and poured more when our glasses were low. It was a fantastic experience and I can't wait to come back!
Phoebe C — Google review
We attended on a Saturday evening, and it was busy. We tried to reserve a table a couple of weeks in advance for 4 of us but they don’t do reservations for less than 6 people. We arrived and didn’t get a table for around an hour but were told it would only take 25 mins. It sounded like the waiter got confused that there was a table for us but that one ended up being reserved so we had to wait for another table to leave. Not ideal but understand the situation - I would much prefer to be able to book a table than the risk of waiting to get one. This may put me off going to Poquito again if I’m going on a weekend! The service wasn’t super attentive, everyone just seemed pretty busy / rushed off their feet, so we were served by lots of different people - again one of those things going on a Saturday. In terms of the cocktails and food, it was excellent. I couldn’t fault the taste and quality, it was very good. The only negative I would have to say was that the portion sizes were really really small, even for tapas style dishes. Overall we had a really nice time and the food was super super good, just ashame about the reservation situation! Thanks
Josie W — Google review
This place has amazing vibes, ...energy is welcoming, friendly, classy but also buzzing. On our arrival we were seated at the bar where we got out drinks and pre-ordered mixture of tapas. Staff is very attentive, and checking you got everything you need. Once table got available we were seated. Place is on smaller size but stil feels there were few groups of people. Food was fresh, light and tasty. Will definitely go back as I want to taste other dishes. Shame they are on other side of Birmingham as I would definitely be going there today for Sunday lunch. Keep doing what you are doing as it's very unique and authentic place ♥️

Fantastic Spanish restaurant in the heart of Lichfield, waiter Harry was excellent, the Rioja the same. The service at The Three Tuns was attentive and the staff ensured everything was satisfactory. The food arrived promptly, and the pizzas were exceptional considering their affordable price. The steak open sandwich boasted a rich flavor. However, the beef stroganoff lacked sauce and freshness, which was disappointing. Despite this drawback, I would definitely return to The Three Tuns. Conveniently located with ample parking space, the establishment features spacious premises complemented by a large covered outdoor area perfect for spring and summer seasons.
We came here for our anniversary and was asked when we arrived if it was for a special occasion. We booked a few days in advance so we could sit in the blossom room. The food was amazing we had 2 courses and it came out very quick and honestly we have no complaints it was lovely. The drinks we ordered also came out very fast and were really good. The value for money here is great the prices are great for the portions you receive. The staff were also very friendly everyone we dealt with was lovely. At the end of our visit we was presented with a free happy anniversary pudding which was a great touch and really did make our visit.

I went here for the first time on Friday and had an absolute blast. The food and drinks were unreal (and generous portions!) and every single staff member was SO friendly. I have a 5 month old puppy so I’m always wary of places that claim to be ‘dog friendly’ but this place was great and there were plenty of other happy dogs having a great time with their owners too. I’ll definitely be back and making my way through both the food menu and drinks menu!

What a nice place with a fantastic service! Especially Ant, who made this lunch a little party. Portions are enormous and the food tastes really nice. It was a very hot day, what made the restaurant a bit to warm inside. Could use some fans or airconditioning. But overal we had a fantastic experience with a delicious surprise for our birthday boys.

I recently visited this pub after hearing about their incredible skewers, and it certainly lived up to expectations. They offer a wide variety of options, which was the main reason I wanted to go, and I was not disappointed. I chose the chorizo and chicken skewer, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavour. The portion size was also very generous, making it a really satisfying meal. To go alongside it, I ordered the truffle fries, which were packed with flavour, and the chilli halloumi fries, which were equally delicious with just the right kick of spice. The food felt well thought out and prepared with care, and everything came together to create a really enjoyable dining experience. The cocktails were another highlight. Beautifully presented and full of flavour, they made the meal feel extra special and added to the relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The pub itself is very pretty, with lovely décor and even a cherry blossom tree inside, which gives it a unique and inviting feel. The staff were polite and attentive throughout, making us feel very welcome. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish everything, but the team happily packaged it up for us to take home.

We came for lunch on my daughter's 18th birthday. This was my 2nd time visiting after a friend introduced me to the place for my birthday in January. The food and drinks were great but the service was slow. We were a little early at 11.55am for a 12pm lunch and were the first party to be welcomed after a wait. We were shown our table in front of the fireplace but the balloons I paid £9.50 extra for, weren't at the table and I had to go and ask for them. They did apologise and bring them over but it would've been nice for my daughter to arrive to the table with them in place. Our drinks order was then taken and food was ordered when they arrived. We eventually received our food at 1pm. Our server was very friendly but we did feel a bit forgotten about at times. The large party on a nearby table even managed to eat and leave before we got the dessert menu. I then ordered drinks from the app on the table before our server came to ask about desserts. He was very kind and brought a surprise birthday ice cream over for my daughter when dessert arrived. I wouldn't let it deter me from returning again though because the food was so nice!

We had such a disappointing experience. The bartender actually said to us, “Can you start drinking up?” — simply because they didn’t like the time! We hadn’t realised how late it was, and we never intended to overstay or be rude. We’d had some food and drinks, weren’t loud or drunk, and there had been no polite warning like “last orders” or “we’re closing soon,” which you’d expect from a normal bar. Instead, we were hit with this sarcastic comment, which felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. It really spoiled what had been an otherwise nice evening. Edit: Since you responded but still haven’t offered an apology, no — it is not harsh at all. As I said, we were not loud, rude, or trying to overstay — we simply hadn’t realised the time. A polite reminder such as, “Sorry, we are closing in 10 minutes,” would have been enough for us to finish our drinks and leave without issue. Instead, the comment we received came across as aggressive and unnecessarily rude — as if we were being told off — and when we tried to explain how it made us feel, we were met with more arguing rather than a simple apology. That turned what could have been a minor misunderstanding into an unnecessarily unpleasant situation. We still left by 23:05, so we weren’t lingering or keeping staff late. Was five minutes really worth an argument with paying customers? We understand that closing time needs to be respected, but the way customers are spoken to matters. A little politeness would have avoided this review entirely.
Flavia D — Google review
I've lived near the Turnpike for 19 years and over those years it's been hit and miss with the kitchen being closed and the quality of the food not being so good. I visited earlier and was pleased to see it was fairly busy for 6pm on a Tuesday. I ordered chicken wings, loaded fries and a Thai vegetable curry, with drinks: You can either order at the bar or via your phone. The food was delivered to the table after a short wait; it was hot and tasty. There are different food and drink promotions on every day and entertainment events such as Music Bingo and open mic nights: Things are definitely on the up! A huge thanks to the new managers; you're doing a great job.

I hired Le Reve for my 30th birthday party this weekend and I can’t thank them enough!!! Ruby opened up during the day so I could come over and set up prior to the party and get everything ready which was super helpful. During the party the staff couldn’t be more accommodating - nothing was to much trouble and they made sure I was happy throughout the entire night by asking if I was OK, if I needed anything, storing presents away safely etc etc. They made me feel really special and it felt like they were a part of my party with them dancing and signing away behind the bar. I would 100% recommend if you’re looking for a venue to exclusively hire (I had around 65 people and it felt busy with a great atmosphere without being really crowded). Thank you Le Reve team!!

Great place to sit in and have a few locally brewed craft ales. Nice mix of pales, IPAs and darker beers, plus a sour which went down rather well. Some alternatives to beer also available, but i didn't look too closey at them. Plenty of seating on benches at long tables or very comfy sofas, with blankets for the colder nights. There's even a few large screens (showing the rugby on Prime when I visited) and table / bar football for added entertainment. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great local club, we came to see a band playing there for Christmas 🎄 so the atmosphere was amazing. Eden Bar Lichfield has truly transformed into a stunning cocktail venue that the local community can take pride in. With its vibrant atmosphere and attentive service, it offers a delightful experience for all visitors. Whether you're stopping by for a quiet drink or enjoying live entertainment, like the recent performance by Sam Wilson, there's something for everyone. The decor gives off a chic nightclub vibe, making it an inviting spot to unwind with friends of all ages.
Called into the Eden Bar by chance over the bank holiday weekend when they had live entertainment on. First visit since the venue had been reopened and changed from the Scales so my preconception was that it was still the same pub , different name. Very pleasantly surprised to find a refreshed venue, attentive staff and great atmosphere. Clientele was a mixed group of young and old people and the entertainment provided, Sam Wilson, was one of the best I’ve seen on offer for a long time. I’ve often walked past the pub still thinking it’s got the somewhat tarnished image The Scales had! Certainly won’t be doing that again and look forward to paying it another visit in the future. New team appear to have turned this into a great venue not just for the kids to revel in until the early hours. Keep up the good work, and banging live music.

Visited here yesterday 29.08.25 19.30 table booked. A busy pub which in itself shouts out quality and wuality you receive ten fold. What a lovely setting. The layout of the pub has a cosy feel to it, giving a sense of privacy within each seating area. The service is spot on, efficient and effective. The staff ae welcoming and quick to help. The food is on point. The toilets, yes the toilets are at a high standard of cleanliness. As well as this, there is outside seating too. Thank you for such a lovely evening.
Debbie M — Google review
Great service from Amanda, would of liked the veg to be a little softer and the roasters and parsnips to be roasted to crispy on the outside fluffy in the middle, broccoli also very tough. Meats a little on the cheap and fatty side. For the price the standard of food isn't great. Luckily the service from Amanda more than made up for the food. I know people like veg al dente but the broccoli felt like it had a 5 second dip in luke warm water. Food was well presented and desert was lovely.

We visited the Bull’s head last weekend for a Sunday roast, and it didn’t disappoint! Between our group we ordered the lamb, beef and pork belly roasts (see pics attached). The service from our waitress Katie was genuinely the best we’ve ever experienced. She was so friendly and smiley and she couldn’t do enough for us. We took my Nan who has dementia and she dealt with her very well by offering smaller portions of meals and some light hearted jokes. Honestly if you go to the Bull’s Head and have the privilege of having Katie serve you, you’re in luck! Thank you to the chefs for the wonderful meal and all the staff and a big thank you to Katie :-)

Nestled in the heart of Lichfield, Inkwell is a delightful pub that offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for both locals and visitors alike. With its extensive menu featuring hearty meals perfect for lunch or dinner, it’s an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the charming streets of this historic town. Guests rave about their experiences here, particularly highlighting dishes like the renowned Tom Shepherd's pie, which has garnered quite a following.
We had a lovely time thank you. We went for the Tom Shepherd Best Ever pie and it didn’t disappoint. Our server, Toni, was friendly and helpful and gave recommendations when asked and helped source my elderly mother a smaller meal via the children’s menu. We have only been here before years ago for my brothers birthday. My brother used the pub regularly. To be honest I don’t know why we haven’t used it more. Maybe we will now. Thanks to all. The food and service were great.

We had a great experience at Inkwell recently. We attended the launch of the best pub pie by Chef Tom Shepherd. It was a great night and the pie was incredible. The pub itself was cosy, warm and clean. Staff were incredibly attentive especially Millie who would ensure we had everything we needed. If you get a chance to try the pie (limited time only) I recommend you give it a go.

Rich was very welcoming and comical, which really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was lovely, Toni and staff were friendly, and the service was quick. The food overall was great – the only slight downside was that the steak could have done with a little longer and was quite fatty. Other than that, we had a really good time and would happily return!

Glad I found this pub tucked away near Waitrose. Varied menu which has pub classics and less usual dishes like flatbreads. It was 80% full on a Saturday evening and the food came in good time. I loved that it wasn't too noisy to talk but had a good atmosphere. Stylish, homely decor. Lost one star as the quality of service could have been better - clearing plates, asking for drinks, a bit friendlier - some training required ☺️

Matt E — Google review
A place where history, taste, and tradition meet – The Pretty Pigs I’ve visited Pretty Pigs many times over the years, and each time I notice something new – whether it’s the food, the setting, or the warm atmosphere. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into another era. The scent that greets you as you enter isn’t just traditional – it’s deeply nostalgic. It flows from the kitchen and wraps around you like a memory, like walking into your grandmother’s home on a Sunday afternoon. It carries the warmth of slow-roasted meats, cooked in the way they once were – in stone ovens, over gentle heat, with patience and love. It’s the aroma of a time gone by, of heritage, of real home-cooked food the way it used to be. The solid wooden beams and heavy rustic tables surround you… and you just sink into it. If the staff wore traditional outfits from 100 years ago — the kind that reflect their cultural heritage — you might truly feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. The carvery is generous – beautifully cooked meats, carved fresh in front of you, with unlimited vegetables and sides. For around £10, you don’t just get a meal – you get a moment of joy and satisfaction. They also offer à la carte options, including pizza, but the traditional part is where the true heart of the place lives. And the garden… when the weather is nice, you can sit outside surrounded by greenery and calm. It feels like you’re off the old English road, far from the noise of everyday life. I go there often – not just to eat, but also as a delivery driver. And each time, whether I’m picking up or sitting down for a meal, I feel the same warmth and authenticity. Highly recommended.
Daniela P — Google review
Food was all good but some of it not quite warm enough. Typical carvery. Fairly busy for a Wednesday lunchtime when you consider it's out of the way. Large car park opposite pub. Staff polite and attentive. Would definitely go again.

The Pretty Pigs Stone House is a true gem. The wonderful, lovely staff are warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to accommodate my dog. The food was absolutely amazing, bursting with flavour and perfectly prepared. Even the bar server radiated a genuine, good-hearted vibe. Booby even made a special plate of scraps for my dog, he’s a legend!!!!. The cozy, inviting atmosphere combined with excellent service makes it a perfect spot for families and pet owners alike. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place for great food, friendly service, and a dog-friendly atmosphere.

Nestled in a vibrant setting, the Crown is a delightful chain pub that boasts modern exposed-brick decor and an inviting patio. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a Q&A event featuring former Aston Villa manager Brian Little, where we enjoyed a delicious curry paired with refreshing pints of beer. The atmosphere was lively and engaging, making for an enjoyable evening. During my visit, I found the selection of ales and ciders to be quite impressive.
First time eating here and it was fab. The katsu burger was tasty and the skin on fries were amazing.. My partner had the mixed grill which was also fab and all meats were cooked perfectly. Service was prompt and all staff extremely friendly. Definitely will go back.

I can't fault the food, it was quiet for a bank holiday, the prawn cocktail I had was amazing, the staff were nice enough. But here's where my negative review comes from, (And before I get a reply saying you should have brought this up at the time, it shouldn't have been an issue for me to raise ! Please go look over the high chairs ) My 8 month old is sticking everything in her mouth as they do, which is why she ate sat on my lap, not ideal, and not in a high chair because I was given a high chair that still had the last kids macaroni cheese stuck to the seat, and imbedded food on the straps that she would have been touching.

We arrived a few mins before our booked time slot of 2 pm and were greeted quickly by a friendly member of staff who took us to our table. Everything was nice and clean and tidy there. Our drinks order was taken just a few minutes after we sat down, and when they returned with them our food order was taken. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food to arrive. We ordered a vegetarian Sunday roast, a half chicken Sunday roast, and a gammon and chips from the grill menu. All the food was cooked perfectly, and we all really enjoyed our meals. For dessert we had two sherry trifle cheesecakes and a jam sponge with custard. All the desserts were very enjoyable. Throughout our visit three different members of staff assisted us and they were all very friendly and helpful. Overall it was an excellent visit, and I would highly recommend The Crown at Brownhills to anyone I know.

We visited for my dad’s birthday and unfortunately the experience felt quite rushed from the start. When we arrived, staff weren’t sure which menu we had booked (normal or bottomless), so we were sat at the very back of the restaurant on sticky tables. We asked to move to the front, as we thought it would get a bit noisy with the bottomless groups, and while the manager did let us move, we were told we’d only have 1.5 hours before the next booking. The new table was much nicer though. We ordered drinks and were told all food courses had to be ordered at once, which felt a little pressured. The food and drinks did come out quickly and were of a good standard. However, one member of our group asked to swap sweet potato fries for normal fries, which was agreed to, but the dish still arrived with sweet potato fries. After raising it, the plate was eventually swapped. Another disappointment was when our main meals arrived — the waitress told us that if we wanted more drinks, it would no longer be table service and we’d have to go up to the bar, as they had large groups coming in for bottomless sessions. This really isn’t what you expect at a restaurant, and it left some of us with empty glasses during the meal as we didn’t want to leave the table mid-course to go up and wait at the bar. The waitresses seemed a bit rushed off their feet, even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy, and that made the whole service feel a little impersonal. Overall, for a birthday meal it didn’t feel particularly relaxed or special, more like the focus was on turning tables quickly. We probably wouldn’t return for a family meal, but it seems better suited to a lively bottomless session with friends.

We had a bottomless for 15 of us and they were on point. Drinks flowed really well, starters came out perfect, mains 1 steak was cold, chicken on salad was too spicy for some and even though we pre ordered they didn’t have 2 of our puddings. However the food was still delicious and we were such a large group- the serving staff were fab and we really enjoyed it. Definitely be back.

We had a family wake at 55 Wade Street and want to thank Tom and his team for their kindness and support. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone was comfortable. The food was lovely, the space was perfect, and their care really made a difference on a difficult day. We’re so grateful.

Dreadful service — or should I say, complete lack of it! Booked a table for a pre-theatre meal, thinking we’d have a nice, relaxed start to the evening. Despite being the only people in the restaurant, after 20 minutes we still hadn’t even been asked if we fancied a drink. So, we took the hint, got up, and left — not that anyone noticed, as the staff were far too busy chatting. Ended up grabbing a bottle of wine from Tesco Express and heading to Major Curry instead, where the service was, as always, spot on. Sometimes Plan B turns out to be the best one!

Great renovation and update to the ‘Laddie’ Walkabout. Much better feel to the place and they even do a fantastic breakfast for just £6. We’ve been twice for breakfast and it is great quality and good service. Also visited on a Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago and saw a singer who we think was on from about 4.30pm and that was also great. Did I mention the great breakfast?🤣🤣🤣

In June I organised and paid this venue to hire their upstairs room in October for a party as I have seen many do this before. I had back and forth emails, loads of confirmation, I paid for decorations, baked cakes, sent out invites for my engagement party, a week prior my party I realised that they had changed hands- from walkabout to BAR HOME which I was never told about when I was having back and forth emails. So I thought no problem I will tell my guests the venue has changed hands and name and this is what it’s called this was fine. They also told me the venue was disabled friendly and it wasn’t. 2 weeks prior to the party I emailed asking if I could pay for the DJ which was an option- I paid £300 for a DJ which I thought was very reasonable and they took my money. I arrived at the venue for 5.30 ready to decorate and I walked in and noticed a small section by the front door with my name on it- a handful of tables. I was furious I went and spoke to the manager as I paid for a room and a DJ and had guests arriving in 30 minutes- they embarrassed me and I can’t tell you how upset I was. I had over 40 guests coming, family travelling from far and I’ve told them about a room and a DJ and paid for all these amazing decorations- I’ve sold them the dream and they’ve turned up to a busy bar full of drunk people spilling drinks all over them. They looked through all my emails, they said I should have been contacted but I was only contacted via email to confirm the ROOM HIRE. There was nothing I could do the party had to be in the small section of the busy area right by the front door. I spent most of the evening telling people not to sit there as it was a ‘private party’ but nobody was listening to me it was over crowded and nobody cared. Most of my guests including my mom and dad left early because of it being too much which I understand. The staff there tried their best to accommodate got me some Prosecco advised they would sort out the refund and served my guests quickly so there was nothing I could do, it wasn’t the party I had planned months for, I was upset disappointed frustrated- I am still so angry now. Please be cautious when you book anything at bar home aka walkabout make sure you keep all your confirmation and go and speak to someone face to face prior otherwise they will take your money and let you down.

Paradise Lichfield stands out as the oldest independent bar in its region, making it an ideal venue for gatherings with friends and family. Renowned for its mouthwatering street food and expertly crafted cocktails, this vibrant establishment offers a diverse menu that includes plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, perfect for enjoying small plates infused with bold international flavors alongside beautifully presented drinks.
We got there a little early for bottomless brunch, the lady said don’t worry as so as your all here we will start it straight away but then came back to the table and said we would have to have buy a drink first even tho it was 5 mins until our brunch was meant to start so it wasn’t the best start. At first there wasn’t enough staff on and we had to wait for the drinks order to be taken and then to arrive but after the first few problems and with more attentive staff we overall had a great time.

Happy hour two for one offer on cocktails before 7pm. Well made and nicely presented cocktails in a very relaxed cozy gastropub. Hip decor and furnishings. Chair was so comfortable that I had to take a photo!

Absolutely brilliant food was really nice and staff are so friendly and nothing was to much for them. If there was more than a five stars rating I’d of given it more

Incredibly loud music for a Saturday lunch time, understand they have tables of bottomless brunch people in but we were told we were in the quietest area and could barely hear ourselves talk over the loud club type music. Food is pretty expensive for below average food we had a pizza to share, some tacos and some loaded chips it came to £40 all together and was pretty lacking in flavour, the "trio of tacos" were particularly disappointing, seemed like a teaspoon of flavourless filling and a bit of lettuce in a tortilla. The pizza was a bit anaemic and considering it had prawns on was a little concerning but all round not so terrible. My sister had the bruschetta which was untoasted bread with sub par toppings and a Caesar salad which was soggy due to too much dressing. Cocktails seemed nice although a bit slow to come out. Not really bad enough to complain about there and then but most likely won't be coming again

Last Friday was the first time I'd been in the Paradise lounge since 1996, when a friend and I were barred for singing karaoke songs when there wasn't a karaoke night on. It has changed considerably, for the better. The food was great, with a wide choice of cocktails, which my friends drank in plentiful quantities thanks to the 2 for 1 deal up until 9pm. This did not have positive consequences for many, but they will live and learn. 🤣 We had a great night, the staff were fantastic with a number of our party being particularly taken by a young man called Kieran. I apologise if they were a little extra, but that's what the cocktails did. 😀 I would definitely come back as the nachos were fantastic! They were also great at catering for what was a large party! (Approx 16 of us). Thank you again for a great night.
Lisbeth W — Google review
Atmosphere was good, but a bit on the loud side, even as a group we couldn't hear each other very well. I am gluten free, they said I would be accommodated but everything advertised they couldn't offer me. When my burger came it looked very poor quality and not worth the money at all. Plus, I was unaware as was organised by someone else that I had to pay the same price for bottomless brunch as those drinking alcohol, what on earth?! £37+ for a burger and fries and a lemonade! It didn't make sense, the quality was poor and I wouldn't recommend it. Avoid if you don't drink alcohol, McDonald's would have been a better option.

One of the best pubs i’ve been to in a while! The drinks were great, and the service felt both fast and accommodating. I really enjoyed both the atmosphere, and my evening here, and i will definitely be coming back again. Great pub, Great people, and even better drinks! Keep it up!

I've spent many lovely afternoons and evenings in the Earl since moving to Lichfield almost 8 years ago. The landlady is always pleasant and kind, staff are super helpful and the drink selection is well varied, with clean lines and good service. Music is put on frequently and usually well attended. Great little pub with friendly locals and good conversation. Keep up the good work guys!

This pub is known locally as "The Drum" . Only popped in for a drink really good, friendly bar staff and landlady. Pub is in the market place area of the city. Very fond of music in this bar which is also dog friendly - laid back feeling to the place - loved it !

The Bureau Lichfield is a charming eatery nestled in the heart of Lichfield, offering a delightful selection of classic brunch dishes and delectable pastries. The inviting and relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to enjoy favorites like Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, live music, and a dog-friendly policy, it's an ideal place to unwind with a drink or savor a delicious meal.
Amazing food. I had three courses for £10 Thursday day. Wow, everything was lovely. The chicken was fantastic! That cheese 👌 I normally don't like fries but they were great too. The restaurant/cafe itself is lovely, really quirky and the staff are very friendly. 🙌

A great place to stop for a drink of any kind. We stopped for coffee and happened to come at a time they had live music in the afternoon which was great. The staff are all lovely and there are some really cosy corners to sit. Will try it again in the evening for food and update. The place is dog friendly so be prepared to see lots of adorable dogs.

Cold Corona on tap . I had BLT on brown which came with hand cut chips & hand made slaw & the Mrs had fish fingers on white again with hand cut chips . Good experience and will definitely try again . Nice touch was the dog treats given to customers dogs . Friendly atmosphere!!

First time we've ever refused to pay for food. Ended up going to McDonalds for a cheeseburger. 06/03/2022 @12:15 My wife and I ordered the beef burger and a coke. Both burgers were small, dry, unseasoned, with a lack of cheese. Like chewing on a rubber. My wife's meal also came without onion rings, whereas mine came with. It also came with cheese, but you could barely tell that it did. The meal costs £13.50. We also had the garlic bread with fondue cheese which was £5. A friend next to me had it without the cheese which was £3. So it's £2 for a bit of watered down/runny cheese? Baguette was undercooked, so the cheese turned the baguette soggy. Very confusing and horrible. Another friend we were dining with was coeliac, so asked about options and explained she could only eat Gluten Free food. The waitor explained the bread for the Chicken Cigno can be replaced with GF bread. When her food arrived they had changed the bread to GF bread. It also came with chips but after asking about the chips, they were not gluten free. Why would you serve non GF chips knowing she was coeliac? That could make someone ill or could have turned into a dangerous situation if she had not checked herself. The menu is very confusing. On trip advisor it states that The Bureau is "Vegetarian friendly". Looking at the menu there is no key to state what is Vegan, Veggie or Gluten Free. Nor a statement about offering any options. There are only 6 dishes in total, across all courses on the menu that have a (V) next to them. (2 of which are Olives, and Bread with Oil & Vinegar). The breakfast menu has no dishes with a 'V' next to them. Other dishes upon reading could be Vegetarian, if so, why not state it? We were told about the option to have GF bread replacement, but that's not stated on the menu. The closest it comes to mentioning all 3 categories on the menu is next to 'Dessert of the day' where it states "(Includes GF, AND V, VEG)". At the bottom of the back of the menu it has a disclaimer that is "Important information we need to tell you!" - stating "...items may contain or come in contact with wheat/gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree-nuts, fish, shellfish and soy". This is in small font but is stated as "Important" and The Bureau is supposed to be "Vegetarian friendly" - Like I said, confusing. The drinks menu pricing doesn't add up. A half pint (regular) coke is £1.90, yet a pint (large) is £3.75. But for example a regular coffee is £3.20 and a large is £3.50. Wouldn't recommend

Stopped for lunch. Had 3 courses for 13 pound. Fantastic value, excellent, staff very friendly. Dog friendly too. They deserve to do well!

Dropped in for Lunch, not overly busy but is a Monday afternoon. Ordered a Steak, Bacon and Cheese burger. My wife order the Beef Bourginion. Burger was dryer than anything and the Bourginion was so heavily salted that it was inedible. No check back, waitress came over at the end, quite clearly could see that we hadn't eaten anything but didn't seem it right to ask if everything was ok. Bottom line is we paid £41.30 for an average pint of peroni, a small zinfandel and 2 portions of fries. In a time.with rising costs and when people have less money in their pockets. One would think that restauranteurs would be looking to retain custom and not give them.a reason to go elsewhere. Sadly, I'll be swerving in the future. Poor food, poor service.

Lovely. Really nice place to eat and drink. A really pleasant atmosphere too. The staff were really helpful. Lots of wonderful cocktails that need sampling. We will definitely be back.
Steven T — Google review
Its a lovely place. But rather disorganized. I wasn't happy that a member of their staff wasn't wearing a mask upon entering the upstairs room we were in & then proceeded to say "soif theres people in here where doi go to eat?". Personally this is a disregard for your customers, and frankly quite rude, especially in front of customers. Very over priced for most things. And found that although the menu did not specify the Old Mout i ordered was not the alcoholic beverage, it wasn't made aware to me til after I'd asked for it. Staff should know the drinks. For many reasons, I'll go back. Decor, good drinks & atmosphere (most of the time) However you should pay attention to the minor detail. Better training of staff please. & more updated pricelist. It may be Lichfield but more places offer Old Mout now & for way less than the FIVE quid you pay for it with shoddy service.

Nestled in the charming area of Streethay, just a short stroll from Lichfield Trent Valley Railway Station, Bod Lichfield is the latest gem to discover. This inviting spot boasts excellent Wi-Fi and ample parking, making it a convenient choice for visitors. The atmosphere is light and airy, complemented by friendly staff who create a welcoming environment. During my recent family visit, I was impressed by the generous portions of food that not only looked delightful but also tasted fantastic.
Since the Anchor pub closed many many years ago, Streethay has needed a place like this. Breakfast and coffee was very good and there's a large selection of Titanic brewery ales. The place is airy and bright and has a nice atmosphere...

Great suggestion from Kevin, who lives somewhere to try Bod. Car park but motorbikes park with the cars. Imput your reg or get a ticket. A clean new build on a new housing estate. The food and coffee where amazing, fresh. Could have done with some salad. Very colourful inside. Only 10 people in for a Saturday lunch time. Father and wife, arrived, lady in wheel chair. Easy access.

So if this is how they think a pint should be poured they need training in the basic art of customer service. Not only is the pint cloudy and the dregs of the barrel the head is probably a fifth of the pint. This place has gone down the pan big time since its original launch. I’ll give it a year before it shuts permanently.

I’ve visited here now 3 times each time I’ve had breakfast of some description either it be a full English to a sausage bap etc with coffee’s and considering the time you wait for your food to come to the table it’s never piping hot its barely lukewarm this to me shouldn’t be I’m slightly disappointed, the first time I came it was busy so just thought it was a one off but then came a second time wasn’t much better and a 3rd still the same , I personally like my food to be hot when it’s served to me not warm but everyone is different, this is such a shame that this has happened on every visit , maybe I might not be the first to complain if I am well you might be able to rectify this problem with the kitchen staff , the place itself is lovely and got a nice feel to it just a shame about the food not being hot the quality of the produce is 100% cannot fault .

Our first visit to the Bod. Although we didn't eat, we were very impressed with the unit and the atmosphere. Beer was great, and the service was fantastic. Big shout out for Charlie. Fabulous service with a smile 👍

The best selection of beers, ales, and stouts with some great food options and all the usual cafe features. It's best described as the love child of Costa and a tap room. It's definitely something the world has been missing! The cherry and plumb porters are exceptional beers!

Cozy place in the area. Chilled and relaxing. I visit there regularly and love their butter with toast very much! However, last Sat when I ordered butter with toast, found they changed butter. Not sure from the same supplier or not, but quite disappointed. The previous butter they served was the BEST butter I have ever tried.

Six hand pumps for cask ale (4 Titanic + 2 guest) plus 10 keg beers and numerous spirits. The beer I had was very well kept. Didn’t try the food, but it looked very good. Staff are great and the place a has a friendly family vibe (at least in the afternoon, when I visited). There’s even a bus stop outside if you don’t fancy the 15-20 minute walk from Lichfield 🤔

If you're on the lookout for a hidden gem in Lichfield, WIP is the place to be! This charming bar has an inviting atmosphere that feels much larger than it appears from the outside, boasting ample seating both upstairs and at the back. With a fantastic selection of craft beers, ciders, and ales, there's something to please every palate. The staff are not only friendly but also passionate about their offerings, making your experience even more enjoyable.
A really cool dinner spot, friendly vibes, great selection of drinks and dog friendly. The pizzas are huge and absolutely delicious. I’d highly recommend.

The best bar I visited in Lichfield for beer, plus the pizza is great too. A few cask beers, decent range of keg, all served in a nice little place which looks like it's pretty old and possibly an old shop? Whatever it was, it's now a cracking bar just up from the main street but well worth the short walk.

Nice place thats a bit of a tardis with loads more seating at the back and upstairs. A great choice of craft beer, cider and ales. Friendly staff that are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the beers and ciders they sell. Great central location too. The perfect place to go and enjoy a pint or two of something a little different to whats on offer elsewhere. Plenty of choice for all beer and cider tastes catered for. I will be back soon i am sure.

Lovely place, food/ drink is good but after a 4th visit on a Thursday evening, our food order had been forgotten or given to someone else and we've ended up waiting over an hour for food. We have been given a free drink as good will but when it happens to you 4 times in a row it's disappointing and a little disheartening.

Great beer, wine and pizza on a Saturday afternoon !! Staff were friendly and helpful. The place had a good vibe, great music playing in the background. Pizza's are massive, thin and crispy with loads of topping and great value. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend

The best spot in Lichfield. Incredible pizzas, a great selection of beers and always a solid playlist. It’s been my go to for the past few years. Moving away from the area now, and I think WIP will be my biggest miss.

Best Pizza and bar in Lichfield, hands down. Especially if you like your craft beers and good music, it has an ever changing tap menu. A lot bigger than it looks from the outside, with an upstairs and nice little beer garden. Staff are always friendly and let you taste anything on tap.

First visit after recently moving to Lichfield. Friendly, enthusiastic welcome, lovely space - especially upstairs. Delicious, refeshing pint of Intuition with loads of choice. Huge pizzas done properly Neapolitan style. Couldn't fault it. All 4 of us loved it and are already looking forward to our next visit.
