My wife and I stopped in after hearing that they had garbage plates, after expecting a mediocre plate at best so far from our old home (Rochester), we were pleasantly surprised. The plate actually held up to some of the best ones we’ve had back in the 585. The employees were also very friendly and full of great conversation. We will definitely be back to The Excelsior Pub!

What a fantastic place. The food was amazing. Small menu of items from all over New York, but everything we had was delicious! The on-tap beer selection was extensive and great. The bartender was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you’re ever in Albany PLEASE PLEASE stop in and enjoy a beer, a Shirley temple(my daughter had 3), and the wings or garbage plate!

A great bar with great service and great food. I had a great time there. It was my first time in Albany. Had a blast drinking and talking with locals. I can usually handle my liquor but I really over did it. I completely blacked out drinking with strangers and woke up in my hotel room and not tied up in someone’s basement which is a huge plus. Hopefully they let me in next time I visit. I highly recommend this place. Becka is an incredible bartender!

Great pub right below Empire State Plaza. Great selection of NYS craft beers, some of the best chicken wings I’ve had, and yes, they steam a good ham. (It’s a regional dialect.)

I don't drink went for the food a different time felt like I didn't belong there but I ignored it ordered food was good went yesterday and felt again I didn't belong there bartender literally walked past a couple times before asking me wat I wanted I just ordered my food I should have got out a there I got chicken wings and the ruben sandwich I specifically said no sourcrout she put it on my sandwich and served me old wings thy were hard as a rock not even fresh warmed up old chicken wings and the first time I went there she was outside I had to go outside and ask for her and she was outside smoking the green stuff I had ordered mozzarella sticks also she was so high forgot to make my mozzarella sticks just a horrible place if u Spanish plz don't go there

I love this place. They have pinball machines! The owner, Jay, was there when I went and he was a very nice person. The chicken wings were 🔥. I never had a "garbage plate" before and I am so glad I had it here. Trying the different beers was fun and I am looking forward to trivia night on Thursday. Come check them out! Real chill place. 💓💓

bouncers are awful. Slow, often chatting instead of doing their job, leaving huge lines out in the cold. my friend got kicked out because he got exhausted and was taking a break, they said he was sleeping and probably high on drugs. Anyone with a brain could've seen he was fine, but no, the bouncers have to swing their huge egos around and kick people out seemingly for fun. Music and food are also nothing special. About the only noteworthy things about the bar are that they sometimes have events and they have a decent nightclub upstairs. But again, getting in is a pain, and you'll have to walk on eggshells not to upset the meathead bouncers who often walk around the club looking for paying customers to bully.

I like the bartenders, drinks are good. Staff besides the bouncers are nice. I like the atmosphere, and as a gay & trans person the space is, of course, very welcoming. Karaoke is fun. This is basically the only club in Albany and I want it to be good SO bad. I've had a lot of fun here but it's so hard to legitimately recommend it to anyone. The bouncers can be pretty rude and are generally unhelpful. They were very short with my friend who was giving them no trouble and 0 disrespect, and then did nothing to help or dissuade people who were harassing us just outside the door while we waited for an Uber after they kicked us out (my friend was very drunk, I fully understood them kicking us out, but we were fully cooperating and they were jerks). My friend almost got punched by this lady outside who was freaking out. Didn't feel legitimately unsafe, but c'mon. That being said, I could put up with it all if the music was good. End of the day, that's all I, and most people, care about. People want to go out to dance. The music matters. Mixes are often terrible, and the song choices are only bearable when absolutely wasted. Every time I've been they're playing stuff from the early 2010s that only hits for nostalgic reasons, except when they played "Not Like Us" literally 6 times. It's a good song, but come ON. Please get better DJs. Whiskey Pickle in Troy usually has great DJs. Maybe reach out to them and see if you can book the same people. Don't make me try to shake ass to the Hannah Montana theme song again. I swear i hear it every time I go. It's psychologically damaging.

There are two levels. Cover charge was $5. If you want diversity come to this place. Second level reeked of smoke. They don't serve daiquiris.

I went in, paid a cover fee, got one drink, and then a rude guy escorted me out cause I have a beard? Not sure, much less friendly atmosphere than Rocks.

Love this place but the dj sucked badly. Playing the same beat for every song , also wouldn't take any song requests. The service was amazing tho ateast the bar tenders.

Security was extremely rude and accused my friend who is under 21 of being plastered and initially refused to breathalyze her. She was completely sober, we all blew zero on the breathalyzer, and he still gave us a hard time, and then proceeded to hit on another one of our friends. This might have been just a one off experience but it definitely ruined the mood for my friend’s birthday.

Waterworks is a great place to meet and greet with like-minded people. It's always a fun time.

Cool place. Good food. Great service. Wings were made with homemade buffalo sauce and were perfectly cooked. Bartender made excellent beer recommendation and made sure drinks were topped off as needed. Glad we came!

I really like what they've done with the food at CBH. Blue Pizza running their kitchen and putting out great wood-fired pizza, among other things (like some CBH classics) was a great choice. I also enjoy the updates they've made to their cocktail menu, including the more than handful of NA options. This summer they've been doing all you can eat focaccia Fridays, $5 per person for a 90 minute limit -- the focaccia is delicious and comes in very generous serving sizes. My "all you can eat" usually stops at the second slice. Special shout out to their scratch made mozzarella sticks which have a great crispy breading and are served with Melba, which is the only way to eat a mozz stick IMO. I love having CBH in walking distance and have been really impressed with the changes they've been making, kudos to Kurtis and his team!

We came for lunch so it wasn't that busy. S.O. has Celiac. Waiter wasn't incredibly knowledgable about what drinks were safe, but the cook nailed the food. His burger was brought out without chips (which I could have and were some of the best I've eaten) because they do not have a dedicated fryer. Great food and atmosphere. Everyone was very nice.

Absolutely love the vibe here—welcoming, lively, and laid-back with incredibly friendly service. The food is top tier. The hot honey pizza is mouthwatering, a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I also really enjoyed the veggie burger—flavorful and fresh, though a bit on the smaller side, so I’d recommend pairing it with a side dish or splitting a pizza too. Prices are fair, and while the drinks are pretty standard, they do the job. If you’re stuck on where to eat last minute, this spot is a reliable and satisfying choice. Highly recommend!

Food was great, beer recommendations were on point, pizza was excellent. It was 100° outside so lots of fans but the beer was cold!

Hollow Restaurant offers a great dining experience with a few minor notes. The highlight for me was their paella – it was flavorful, but the tomato base leaned a bit too sour for my liking. That said, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation were spot-on. The service was excellent! The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Another standout was the beer selection – absolutely awesome! They have an impressive variety that caters to all tastes, from craft brews to classic favorites. Overall, Hollow Restaurant is definitely worth visiting. With a slight tweak to the paella’s seasoning, it could easily become a 5-star experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

Met a friend here for lunch and a drink at The Hollow. Our friend was at The Hollow the previous night to hear a DJ and said it was great. I had a Ranch Water to drink as we looked at the menu. My wife had a 6oz beer. For lunch we shared the Tennessee Hot with the Chicken (southern aioli, house sweet pickles, brioche $15.50) with the chips and a Kale Caesar salad (baby kale, grated parm, fried capers, house caesar dressing, grilled croutons $14.50. Everything was delicious and the bartender was friendly and attentive. I would go back there and try something else to eat and would like to go when they have music.

My boyfriend and I went to The Hollow for dinner before our concert at The Empire, which is right next door. This place is phenomenal. Very unique space and amazing staff. Check out the menu there is a lot of vegan and vegetarian options and gluten free. We both had the ribeye with melted blue cheese and also the garlic smashed potatoes with the asparagus. For an appetizer we had the maple bacon brussels. Our waiter was very very kind and attentive. I definitely would go back again.

This place has multiple vegan options that are clearly indicated. Our server was very cognizant of what was vegan and not. All the food was good, nothing amazing. Really cool atmosphere. No step to enter. And ADA stalls in gendered restrooms. However, the bathrooms from the front main entrance are down three steps. There are likely other ways to the restroom, but this was our first time here.

Awesome experience here! Attended a group party here with over 40 people! They were able to fit us all pretty cozily in the space! The food was delicious and the desserts were unique! The staff and the chef clearly cared about their work! And those bread rolls...... were delicious! Parking is a hassle as every downtown area but definitely a place to try !

Absolutely beautiful venue! The decor and overall ambiance was stunning and the food was to die for. Everything was absolutely delicious! Especially the steak tips and green beans! (Sorry, I didn't get many photos and the rest I have have my family in them that I do not want to post. But seriously, it's beautiful and the food was so good! Even my super picky kids loved everything! And their brownies are Devine for dessert 😉)

Was there for a bridal shower and it was wonderful. The food was amazing and waitress was awesome. What a fabulous meal and time!!!!

The atmosphere is pure English pub right down to the low ceilings. Winston scowling down from above the fireplace. I had delicious fish and chips with malt vinegar. The waitress was possibly the most attentive I've ever had . Not overly intrusive but obviously observant of her tables and ready to fulfill any requests in a timely fashion and with a genuine and friendly smile. I ordered a sausage roll for later (pictured) the flaky pastry was sublime and the sausage just the right flavors that I remembered from my childhood cookery classes in my secondary modern 3rd year. A wonderful experience. Will definitely be back again. Maybe try the Kedgeree next

Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick lunch and drinks this afternoon on our way home from Albany. This place feels as if you are walking straight into a neighborhood pub in England. The deco was spendid, the signs were the perfect blend of humor and "pay attention stupid", and service was friendly and prompt and the food and drinks were delicious. I had a proper shepherd's pie, and he had a wonderful pub salad. He was especially pleased with the beer selection, and my "bees knees" gin cocktail was one of the best I've ever had. BONUS: This place is within walking distance of the Palace Theater and easy parking. We will definitely be returning!

Ye Olde English Pub is exactly what defines this place. Located in a 300 year old home built by the original Dutch settlers. We really enjoyed dining outside on a beautiful Summer evening. Wonderful service!

Tables that were sat after us were waited on and served first, we were told they had a limited event menu due to an event outside. Ordered one of their 2 available entrees for $27 not only was the presentation was terrible but the steak was overcooked, sour and definitely expired. They also charge you extra for a side of mayo for your burger 😂

French onion soup and Shepards pie (really cottage pie as they use ground beef) was excellent. However, the portions were disappointing. The shepards pie was in a small crock and needed to be about double the size for it to be worth the price. Service was great and cool place.

I loved the service and staff. The fish and chips and burger were perfect. The juxtaposition of Reggae music in an Olde English Pub was fun. This would have been 5 stars if not for the $23 for the "grazing board." One piece of salami, cut into 4. One piece of capicola, cut into 4. 4 slices of cucumber, 6 blocks of dried out smoked gouda, 6 blocks of some sweet cheese (also dried out), 7 candied walnuts, and about 10 crackers from an assorted cracker box at the supermarket. Honestly, it was such a waste of money, I almost want to give 3 stars, but again, the ambiance, service, and main meal saved it.

Went there on a Wednesday night so it wasn't too crowded. Gif selection of beer on draft and it was $5 for a boat. Bartender was very friendly. Didn't like the stools at the bar as they are wooden and can hurt after a while. Overall had a great time and would recommend visiting.

A very popular spot in downtown Albany. Most people go to watch sports games (big soccer bar) and birthday boot. The food is German American and delicious. You get a free boot of beer the day before, on, or after your birthday. It's a cool hang during the week after work or daytime weekend. Turns into a college bar after 9 pm. The bathrooms are gross.

Cool set up with a large garage door front that's wide open. However while sitting at the bar my wife and I were watching sparrows constantly coming and going taking snacks from the complimentary 🥜. So I would recommend NOT getting any🤢. Also the bratwurst & German potato salad wasn't exactly worth the trip. We were hoping for better ...

I've been traveling from out of town for the last month or 2 and quickly made this bar my home away from home bar. The staff are all super welcoming and attentive. The general people in the place are all nice and friendly. The food is waayy better than you would expect from a bar- is just delicious in general. Music has always been good. They play all the soccer games and it's just a great place overall. It makes traveling for months on end a much better experience

Really bad service and experience. Food never arrived until like 1.5 hours and the bar is the worst. Don't even know how to respond, in fact no response! Just ignored the whole time. How the hell are first timers supposed to know anything if people serving there ignore you and dont respond. They acted like we didn't even exist!! This is the worst experience ever in Albany. Now food we went and ordered brunch like 30 minutes before the brunch menu was stopped. We didn't get our food for like 1.5 hours and we had to ask the waiter multiple times and the worst is we already paid for the food and we were done and wanted to leave but the waiter has been the only saving grace for this place. He got our food in under 15 minutes. Never visiting again! Maybe its been an unpleasant experience for me but when I am paying money for a service I at least expect the service provider to treat me like a human. Which is where this restaurant failed and the service especially the bar was the worst.

Should be your go-to industrial beer place in Albany. Outdoor tables out front. Sports TVs with formula1. Super sweet and kind bartender. Food left something to be desired.

Great spot for craft beer! Extensive tap, bottle, and can list. There's plenty of option types for everyone. They have cider and seltzers also. Some of the prices are a little higher than average. The food menu consists mostly of different types of tacos, which are appealing. Tacos come 3 to an order with chips and sals for $16. We ordered 4 different types and shared. Three out of the 4 types were cold, unfortunately. Parking can be tough. Place is definitely worth visiting, and we will give them another chance.

About the only thing good to say is that they have a lot of beers. The food is adequate, service okay. The trivia on Thursdays isn't really trivia, it's word games, and the host is cozy with his friends and helps them.

*Green Book Safe* I was immediately greeted and my order was taken. Very courteous & professional. I was slightly early before the kitchen was open, yet was still proffered a menu. One local behind the bar even provided insight to my newcomer experience. Based on today's interaction, I would return and recommend.

Great burger and a very good beer selection. They have a 2nd floor and the TVs are there if you want to watch some sports. I wanted to go back for another burger but time wouldn't allow it. It really is that good

Great place. Very big selection of beer and on different sizes of pours. I have had the burgers in the past and they were all delicious. I recently had the pulled pork tacos. Oh, so good. Definitely a place to stop if you like beer and a good atmosphere.

The best bar in the area by far! Staff is very friendly and vibes are always on point. They have a great food menu that changes regularly, and do not underestimate their ability to make a great cocktail! I had my bridal shower here and it transforms into a lovely event space as well. Bob, one of the owners, is great and helped make sure my event was perfect! They also do a cornhole league and trivia on Tuesdays. Highly suggest this bar to anyone looking for a good hangout spot!

If you need a quick bite and drink this is an awesome place to stop by and do so… It’s a sweet sports bar with a sufficient menu. Unfortunately I went for brunch which is why I gave it 3 stars. But don’t let that stop you from going because I loved their mixed green salad and I plan to go back. The staff was friendly and I appreciate that. Now I know I had no business at a sports bar eating brunch but I like to try new experiences when it comes to food. The place has a quaint feel, the bar and kitchen are in the dining room so that was different. The staff was beyond friendly and inviting which I truly appreciate. My server was busy but she made sure to check on us. I midkey felt a little bad because I had tons of questions about the menu(which has minimal descriptions of what the food actually is). The food was tasty. I ordered one of the specials. Crab cakes and mixed green salad. I had them substitute the poached eggs for fried. In hindsight I should have asked if they had egg whites. The bathrooms were clean and had the supplies I needed to utilize it. Now I’m a mimosa woman. They don’t offer bottomless (wah) They don’t have many juice options as mixers but my main thing was the champagne wasn’t that great. I’ve had everything from Andre and Belaire to Ace of Spades and Dom P. But this champagne was B.I.T.T.E.R. He ordered a bottle of wine. Which I didn’t care to much for either, but it’s not a wine bar. So it didn’t expect too much in that regard. If and when I do return I will do so for the salad. Chances are I’ll be with my bf who will want to watch sports and drink. I’ll be along for the ride. Overall I do recommend this place to grab a bite to eat and most definitely to drink.

Great food & outstanding service! My first visit to Lost & Found, I attended an animal rescue fundraiser. I sat at the bar for a few hours and had drinks, appetizers and desserts. All delicious! And the bartender (I'm sorry I don't recall her name) was AMAZING! So friendly & attentive. I will be coming back for sure.

OK food. I got the rodeo burger, which was about as good as like a cookout at a neighbor's. Which is fine!! But it's not priced accordingly, it's a $20 burger after tax when I would truly prefer a big mac meal for like $12 instead for a burger with fries and a drink. The fries included with the burger were also just ok, a little bit too crispy. What's also weird is that the service took a while, but we were the only people in the restaurant. Literally the only people for dinner! Not sure what was up with that but then you would expect the food to be faster.

Eat at Savoy tonight. Get the slushy drinks. Have a cold pint at 4 o’clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you’ve never been(the back patio or dining room). Listen to someone you think may not like Steely Dan talk about Sade. Order the steak frittes rare. Eat a burger. Drink a Summer Boy. DRINK 5. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree with the movie playing above the bar, but have a drink and watch it anyways. Eat slowly. Drink Fast. Tip Joe and Hailey. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy Savoy, its really quite good.

The wings were fantastic both styles and of course you can’t go wrong with bingo. The best part about this is the two sides you can go to the back and enjoy some peace or we could enjoy the bar seat so great time

Disappointing visit, given the reputation of the establishment. Granted, it was explained to us that they didn't have their usual full menu available, due to the crowd from "Loud On Lark", but the meager offerings available were low-quality and overpriced. The service likewise was lackluster, despite having what appeared to be ample staff on hand for the event. To be completely fair though, the appetizers were excellent.

Fun karaoke bar/tavern on Madison. Surprisingly spacious and lots of spots to sit and watch some karaoke. I would definitely come back in the future. Chill laid back vibe.

This has become my bar of choice for an evening hang out in the Lark Street area. Two areas to hang out, one of which has karaoke on weekend nights. Seasonal outdoor seating. Decent selection on tap.

Service and food quality are going down more and more each year. Table waiting staff seem very over worked, while management staff seem to be wandering around eating pizza and going out on deck to smoke vapes. Hostess barely acknowledged us upon arrival. Literally the least pleasant hostess we have ever encountered. Doesnt even lift head to say goodbye as you leave either. Food is average, but portions are tiny and prices are high. See photo for what a 18 dollar chicken sandwich looks like. Drinks took a good 15 min to come to table. My drink had 25% spilled out. On of us got the grilled cheese and numerous chicken bones were in the meat. Really just a terrible dining experience for way way way too much $$$

8-12-24. We enjoyed this restaurant. It is what the name states a Brewing Co. I love the HUGE bar with plenty of bar stools. I love the decor of this revamped warehouse. The lighting/ambiance is a little too dark, it just might be my eyesight. I had a chicken sandwich with bacon and fries and thoroughly enjoyed my food. I love the vibe of this up and coming area in Albany NY

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch around 12:30pm with my daughter (3 y/o) and wife. Kiddo ordered chicken tenders and fries, wife ordered Salmon Burger, I had the Fish and Chips. Everything tasted great, and the service was fast and efficient. Jasmine was our server, and she was great. Didn’t rush us on our orders, offered samples of beer when we weren’t sure which one to get, and was there to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Hats off to Emily, the manager on duty, for noticing us walk in and ensuring we had a table that would work well with the kiddo. Music selection was good. Kiddo and wife bopped along to several tracks. Space was clean and welcoming. Try the Uncurious NE IPA on tap and the Strawberry Dare. Both styles hit the spot! Nice work folks. Definitely worth the visit.

The four of us stopped by this location for a quick lunch on the way back to NYC. Just want to give a shout-out to Sean, a gentleman who waited on us. He was very attentive and friendly, relaxed in demeanor, also eager to please at the same time. He made us so comfortable that it almost felt like this was our own neighbor restaurant. We thank Sean for a very enjoyable experience!

This was our favorite place we ate during our month-long visit to Albany. My husband and I shared: - Loaded Monkey Bread - Street Corn Dip - Angry Bee Pizza - Buffalo Mac We really enjoyed everything, but the mac and cheese is the thing we still think about. The handmade pasta was delicious and it was so cheesy. I definitely would go back and try one of the other mac and cheese dishes.

Great Nashville chicken sandwich and flatbread pizza with meatballs. The beer cheese appetizer with nugget size pretzels was also excellent. A double IPA which was excellent. Our friends enjoyed a giant salad with shrimp. We had an excellent server named Lewis who was on top of everything period a very enjoyable evening. One suggestion for ownership. All tables have a sticky touch that can't be wiped off. Maybe revarnish neefed.

Typical brewery vibe. Open floor plan but of course pretty noisy. Limited menu since the last time I visited. Friendly staff and the food was good. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals.

Beautiful architecture! Although it’s currently under construction and temporarily closed, it’s definitely worth seeing from the outside. I would have loved to go inside, but even from the exterior, it’s striking and unique. A standout piece of architecture right in the heart of Albany.

An absolute must see if you’re in the Albany area! Beautiful views and surrounded by fountains that run during the day. At night it lights up and a lot of times coordinates with holidays and awareness months. Spectacular spot to eat and even just relax. Definitely don’t miss out on it if in the Albany area

Great place to see a show, architecture is sooo interesting! The setting hold about 300? seats, so pretty intimate. Staff is friendly, shows vary - all very good. There was plenty of parking when I went, and I think there is underground parking as well that is cheap.

Near the Capitol bus stop at Hawk. Great promenade, but the art in the underground concourse should not be missed. Visit the free Corning Observation tower adjacent.

I have been to the egg on several occasions. To see shows, plays, comedians.!Always a fun experience. The carpark is easy to negotiate ample parking. The lift are fast clean and efficient! The outside of the egg is so special and spectacular day or night. The seating in side the auditorium is very comfortable and allow for great views even when you are short like me. Which I can really appreciate. The Egg is always super clean and an excellent place to see any live performance.

We went into here not knowing what we would find, it turns out this is an entrance into the backrooms. We walked for half an hour and came across no one in the main area, there's just random art scattered around too, just adding to the vibe

Excellent venue, small, which is perfect. Every seat has a great view of the stage. The view from the last row is pictured. Convenient parking is directly below the Egg. The Egg is part of the Empire Plaza with a view of the Capitol of New York State. The architecture style of the plaza is a collaboration of several different eras. If you enjoy architecture and get a chance to go to Albany, check out the Empire Plaza.

The Palace Theatre is an amazing venue right in the heart of Downtown Albany. Despite its age, it has been restored and truly is a work of art. I found the venue to be very clean, the seats in the upper section were spacious, and the venue has streamlined the exits they have so getting out after a sold out show isn’t hard at all. Street parking is around the venue or if you prefer there are parking garages nearby.

Beautiful older well-kept venue in the heart of downtown Albany. We were there to see Australian Pink Floyd and had Loge seats in the balcony. Perfect seats with great views. Concession stands were reasonably priced compared to other venues. This building is a true gem with a million beautiful details.

One of the best concert venues in town! It's a gorgeous older theater with colorful murals and intricate sculptures everywhere. The chandelier is amazing. The sound is always good, and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

What a great place to see a concert! My boyfriend and I enjoyed an incredible show last week when Melissa Etheridge and a very pregnant Joss Stone came to town. We had great seats, but this place doesn't look like it has a bad seat in the house! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bar lines moved quickly! I look forward to going back for many future performances! PS: Parking is also convenient and close, and the lot had a reasonable flat rate of $20 for the show!

Flew in from Louisiana to attend my daughter's graduation. When I saw The Palace Theater was the venue it was being held I thought to myself, "WOW! How beautiful and swanky"!!! Well, that was a quick assumption because how hot and uncomfortable they had that place was UNREAL!!! It was 93 degrees outside! Y'ALL SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!! All of the graduates was on stage fanning themselves! I felt sorry for them because they had to be extremely hot with all those lights shining down on them!

We went to see Brad Williams and the line to get in went so smooth and so did the meet and greet! We had a great time!

The palace theatre is a beautiful venue. It has that old charm but more comfortable then most others like it. I could have spent hours just marveling at the beautiful architecture and designs. The show I saw (dweezil zappa) was great it seemed there was an issue with the lights for the stage but things happen. I was really happy with the experience and staff on hand.

Decided to try this based on the reviews. I wish. I didn’t. So I expected an Irish pub. With like bangers and mash or fish and chips. Nope, they have an odd menu. The best thing out of the group that was ordered was the steak. The burgers were not cooked correctly and my son got his burger after everyone else ate, maybe they ran out. The fries were soggy with grease. The server was good and kept apologizing for the delay as it wasn’t his fault. Maybe it’s a better bar than restaurant.

This is my 120 th review. I have driven or walked by 275 dining places on 2 continents. I have visited about 175 establishments. Anyone who has read my reviews knows I try to write in an easily readable format. I try to make fair calls on ratings and realize that it is my feeling alone and only on the item I have decided to try. High class food is not a requirement. Frugality in all things has stood me well. I am fortunate to get a good quantity of views, both in photos and text. Thank you for indulging me in this prelude. Now for #120. A week and a half ago I visited McGeary's with some family before a young people's event at the Palace Theater, an icon of the city which i have also reviewed. We had various items and i decided on a standard bar food, a burger and fries. I get my burger well done so it can be hard not to cook it until it is a hockey puck. The chef did a great job and it was just the way i like it. The fries were standard fries. All in all, it was quite good. I had a beer and it was a short one and it is pleasant to me when establishments have smaller glasses available. The were no complaints from the adults and youngsters. A good time was had by all. Our waitress was Chrissy, in the photo along with Tess, the owner, holding one of the kids artworks. Christy was upbeat, friendly and worked hard to take care of our bigger group, always with style. It was fun talking to Tess, the owner, who always had a smile, also says Al, inside comment. It had been a long while since I was here, and I shall return. I hope this long narrative did not bother any readers.

My boyfriend and I stopped here for drinks and a bite before seeing a concert at the Palace Theater. When we arrived, two hours before the show, the place was hopping. They were only serving food indoors, so we put our names in with the hostess, grabbed a couple of pints, and headed outside to wait. The hostess who was the queen of no-nonsense and a dry sense of humor, greeted everyone with a raised eyebrow and a knowing smirk...making sure we knew she was not going to come look for us outside, and we needed to know our order upon being seated. The food was typical pub food...I had a burger, and my boyfriend had a chicken dish...but the real entertainment came from the hostess whose sarcasm and wit left us feeling very lucky to have gotten anything at all to eat or drink before the concert. She certainly added some unique flavor to this pub's atmosphere!

Umm tried the Rachel sandwich and wings. The Rachel was hearty with juicy turkey, melted Swiss, and crisp coleslaw on perfectly toasted rye. The bbq wings were crispy, and flavorful with just the right kick! While the food took a bit longer to arrive, but once it hit the table - fire 🔥. 10/10 would slide back again.

Wonderful service. Phenomenal food. Hands down best meal we have had from our travels. Orange chicken was 🔥 steak noodles OMG so good!!!! Food is amazing quality and delicious 😋. Waitress was so kind. Atmosphere was chill and laid back. Portions were very generous! Amazing 10/10 Highly recommend 👌

Nice little place tucked away in a corner of Downtown. Food is okay - nothing exceptional, but the atmosphere is great...there was live music when we went (Diva and the Dirty Boys), with a small but enthusiastic crowd. This is a place for Buffalo Bills fans, as you can see from the pictures...being a fan myself, I loved it! 😃

This is a bar for drinkers’ drinkers. Neighborly atmosphere. Friendly and pretty waitresses. Clean bathrooms and wholesome American fare. Parking streetside or in the lot directly opposite the bar. There are a dartboard and a virtual jume box. In November 2021 the Albany County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe in the backroom during his run for NY Governor….

I like the vibe here, it feels like a community hole in the wall in the best way possible; it feels like a hometown bar that everyone is welcome at. The owner, Lynn, appears to be a very nice and accommodating woman and a hard worker who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and help her staff - atleast that’s how it appears from a customer point of view, obviously I wasn’t in the kitchen or behind the scenes or anything like that. The bartenders are willing to make different types of drinks for folks and even went digging for a certain liquer I was looking for. I will say - the drinks are on the expensive side . I’m talking like these are NYC prices . Or maybe I just don’t go out drinking enough . I’m not sure . The food is decent but please for the love of god, LYNN, can you use real cheese on your nachos ? Nothing ruins a good plate of nachos like canned cheese or whatever that is . I also didn’t care for the chicken on the nachos . I’m not sure if it’s canned or frozen or what - but it wasn’t it . Stick to the beef if you want meat here.

Lynn is an amazing owner who has some of the best bar tenders in Albany (like Casey), the food is phenomenal, and the atmosphere is even better! Best bar to the watch the game in all of Albany, and they also have a private banquet room in the back for larger parties.

Lionheart is solid but I definitely see the draw backs of it. Lot of reviews complain about the food offerings or lack there of and staff. I’ve enjoyed the few times I’ve been there but I do agree it’s more of a local vibe I wouldn’t come here if I was from out of town. There are great dart boards and a pool table as well. Spacious upstairs and many bars tops up there as well.

The barman had some kind of attitude. I'm not sure why you'd hire that type of person to serve behind a bar. The home-brewed beer was good. Definitely a place to get drunk and put songs on the jukebox.

That clueless bartender clearly has no idea what he's talking about--or how to do basic math. He took one look at my vertical ID, saw "Under 21," and immediately handed it back without actually reading it. I repeatedly asked if he had even bothered to check my birthdate because, surprise, I'm well over 21. Instead, he just kept parroting, "It's vertical," like that somehow overrides reality. Then he had the audacity to suggest I should've updated my ID early--like he was going to cover the fee himself. Right. Anyway, I'm at a new bar now. Hope the old one gets a lovely surprise, maybe some decorative eggs. (Aka getting egged)

about 6 months ago I was discriminated against for being trans. I was completely sober and was told I was too drunk to be served. I've never been told that in my entire life. I didn't even argue. I just left.

Whenever the "owner" isn't there. It feels like a Family vibe. I pulled up on my bike with my music blasting and he asked me to turn it down. Which I did. But when you continue to over explain yourself it makes me feel like a burden when the issue was already addressed. I saved 20 bucks that day

12/10 dive bar experience (solid pours on the drinks, disgustingly good mozz sticks, and a pool table with a good crowd) EXCEPT for Juan Picasso... This absolutely sorry excuse of a human being, after being asked to jimmy open the locked women's bathroom by myself and another woman when a younger woman had been in there for over half an hour with no response, became clearly embarrassed to find her sitting on the toilet with her pants down. He then decided to try and hide his blatant embarrassment behind unwarranted anger and project those feelings onto me, saying sarcastically "Thanks for making me open the door..." before walking away?! Listen, you douche canoe, I'm sure by now you realized that the woman in there actually needed a little assistance - I only wish someone had made YOU clean up the vomit on the floor. Pick on someone your own size next time, eh? Your attempt to hide your personal insecurities and your inability to handle your "big feelings" behind a facade of machismo is laughable at best and incredibly sad at worst. If you own a bar, you take care of your people - I wouldn't be surprised if someone ends up dying on your watch. The bartender, Jeff, was cool, though. We like Jeff.

Interesting and reliable drink menu. They have a small patio in the back and a pool table. The primary virtue of this bar is that it closes at 4 AM. 2nd biggest virtue is that it is never too loud nor deserted. You can have a good conversation and not be too crowded. And their chorizo empanadas are very good.

Stopped in here for a bite on a whim just driving around the area, turned out to be an amazing decision. Gorgeous family run business with generous and thoughtful staff, I cannot find the words to express how pleased my friend and I were with our experience here!! The presentation of our food and drinks was phenomenal, they literally put little purple flowers in our drinks because we have purple hair, SO CUTE!!! Everything tasted just as good as it looks. You can taste the passion the chefs here put into their dishes! If you’re looking for a place with beautiful culture and good food, this is the place to go.

Amazing cocktails and the best fish I've ever had. The lemon potatoes were brilliant. Owner Oliver took a few minutes to stop by our table to introduce himself and check in with us to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. I wish we lived closer as we were in town for a show. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing food and cocktails. We sat in the bar area, and I would suggest that if you're dressed more casual and the dining room for a heightened experience.

My friend and I just had the most wonderful experience here! We decided to stop in randomly, and almost left due to our being underdressed and ill prepared for such a beautiful restaurant. The owner reassured us with the most kind and respectful demeanor that his store is a place for everyone to feel welcome in. My friend and I ate a deliciously prepared meal, refreshing drinks, and amazing dessert. I cannot wait to come back here again with my family. No where I’d rather spend my money.

I don’t eat much Greek food, but I went with family and I tried something that I have never had before. I got the Grekolimano and it turned out to be REALLY good. My family split a Greek salad and that was most definitely one of the best salads I’ve had in over 2 years. The service was good as well, and I often don’t pay much attention to the service, so overall, it was a great experience

Tried their tasting menu. Pretty unacceptable for fine dining. Food too salty. Service extremely slow. The technicality was also subpar. Feels like we've been eating different foods than everyone else in the reviews. In fact, the plating does look a lot worse for us than others in the reviews.

Took my boyfriend for our first time there for his birthday dinner. The attention to detail in everything they do was remarkable. They even printed a special happy birthday menu with his name on it. The food was amazing. We opted for the 3 course dinner but definetly want to try the 8 course tasting at some point. I had the lobster fried rice and the short rib and I wish I could recreate them at home because I will be thinking about them until the next time I go back. Service was excellent and not overbearing. Thank you so much for making it such a special evening!

What an absolutely beautiful restaurant for occasions such as anniversaries, graduations, birthdays and more. My boyfriend and I went to Yono’s to celebrate our 5 year anniversary tonight and it was one of the best decisions we could have made. Not only was the staff amazing, helpful, attentive and sweet, but the food itself was some of the best food we’ve ever had. The experience was unlike any other and the wine pairings that go with the meal were amazing. We did the 3 course meal but the waitress let us know we could add a mid course or a 4th course (being one of the first course options) for an a la carte price which ended up working perfectly for us as we were able to share with each other and try different things. The espresso Creme brûlée was a highlight of my night seeing as it’s one of my favorite deserts, and the food portions are definitely enough to get you full. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend treated me to Yono's for Valentine’s Day, and I have to say, Yono's was probably one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had! We had their special Valentine's menu, which offered a 6-course tasting menu, and we decided to go with the wine pairings, which was an excellent choice. It was my first time experiencing the beauty of wine pairings, and I was amazed at how elegantly the wine enhanced each course - their selections of wines were *chefs kiss* The complexity, flavor, and intricacy of each dish were phenomenal. The 6-course meal featured chilled creek oysters, butter poached scallops, root vegetable potage, foie gras, filet mignon, and dark chocolate gateau—each dish was a masterpiece and so beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the foie gras. While Yono's is definitely on the pricey side, it's perfect for your fancy shmancy occasions. I'm looking forward to returning to explore their regular menu! Great place for fine dining for either a special occasion or a work function in Albany. The atmosphere is nice, although it might be a little loud in the bar area. I ate with a work function in the dining room in the back which had a piano and a large table area which was apart from the rest if the dining room. It was perfect for a large group. The food was excellent, with an interesting mix of various genres that blended well together. It's a foodie's paradise! The service was excellent and more of what I expect from a fine dining establishment. Very attentive and friendly. Not a place for a quick bite, because it takes time, but to be honest, not being rushed is exactly what I want from a place like this (too often there is no time for conversation). Very highly recommended!

This is a great spot! We went for a late breakfast on a weekday. It was pretty empty but the service was great! I will say the breakfast sourdough sandwich was amazing!!! Crispy and delicious! The home fries are so good too. Full of flavor and crispy. The French toast was equally as delicious! Definitely a must try in the area.

Supper: Chicken Francaise - amazing! Creamy, tasty, savory. Desert: Adirondack Cookie - this is the kind of desert you would disown your mother to get. I can't recommend it enough. I recommend the ranch and hollandaise sauces. (No drink, just water) Total w. tip: $18 I had read the prior good reviews - they were right! I was staying at the Crowne Plaza, and you could charge your food to your room, which I appreciate. 5/5 would return

I stayed at the Desmond Hotel and this restaurant was attached. I stayed for 3 nights and went there for dinner, Happy Hour & breakfast. It was phenomenal. Staff was attentive and personable. I got the chicken and it was a huge serving and the best Chicken French I’ve ever had! I even had a mocktail that was delicious! Highly recommend their Bread Pudding!!!!! It’s amazing!

Had a lovely visit. My husband and I stopped in for a drink and found seats at the bar right away. My hubby had a dirty martini and I had a cocktail with lemon and honey, I believe (I forgot the name but it was delicious). I also ordered a Cuban sandwich with chips and coleslaw and took it to my room. Yum! Bartender was friendly and attentive and it was clean and nicely decorated. Will absolutely return.

Our flight was cancelled after the worst day in the airport so getting greeted so sweetly by Emily was a nice treat. She was so nice to our daughter and when she heard her crying at the table she came over and played with her some to smooth her. The food was ok but we would come back for the service and Warness we got from Emily.

The food is OUTSTANDING! We travel alot and eat at hotel restaurants and are mostly always disappointed but this place was amazing. I had the seared apple pork chop and it was so delicious. The asparagus was good, the pork chop was juicy! I've been to places were the pork chop would be dry and rough yuck. If you're in the area or staying at the lovely hotel definitely stop by and eat here! Seat yourself, the staff, chef and waitress are kind and friendly.

It is ALWAYS the best. Food is excellent every time. Servers are always accommodating and the ambiance is always "just right". Is is our favorite spot when we want a good time.

The appetizer was excellent—full of flavor and a great start to the meal. However, the burger was a bit disappointing as it came out greasy and overcooked. Still, the overall atmosphere and service were good, and I’d come back to try other items on the menu.

Nice sports bar with many TV monitors showing sports channels. Huge bar with about 40 beers on tap and a variety of liquors. Indoor booths and tables, bar seating, and outdoor tables (when its not raining like today). Food was good but with limited choices. Service has friendly but with a long wait time. Atmosphere is all sports bar and does this very well. Go to place to enjoy Giants, Bulls, or Jets (despite being 0 for 7 so far this season) games.

Had lunch this past Sunday with family and friends while visiting the area. Great ambiance, hostess was honest with recommendations for seating- outside v inside. Opted for inside, booth easily fit 6 adults. The ambiance is nice, easy songs playing, not loud- you can actually have a conversation without yelling!! The esthetics are solid across the board! The food was spectacular. The decision was hard. The menu is diverse and the food titles are entertaining. I had Quac My World ( hope my memory is good with the name). It was a wonderful variation of avocado toast- topped with a fried egg. The textures blended great, the tastes were devine( fresh and crunchy red onions, peppers, etc. I am considering a ride back up 2 hours just to repeat!! Others in my group ordered California Club, Beet & Arugula salad, Shrimp "Bahn Mi" Burger, and Mac & Cheese. Apologies, I was late taking pics- we all dug in as soon as the food was served😂 I don't have a pic of the shrimp dish Everyone was very pleased with the food preparation and exquisite tastes. We left fully satisfied and ready to face the day! There are so many great options, I suggest you review the menu first to ease your decision process 😉 Definitely would return!

Visited during happy hour as it was a friend's last day at work. It wasn't terribly busy but there was not enough staff for the crowd that present. There was a wait at the bar for a drink and it difficult to find some one to take an order for food. While we were finally able to place a order for appetizers it took so long to get them we decided to not order an entree. The 🍷 drinks while flavorful I felt were a little high during happy hour. Oh while it took a bit for us to get our appetizers they were good. Now the heat was a different thing, it was hot, they only had the large fans going, perhaps they cooled those who sat underneath them, but from our seats it was hot, we tried outside but it was hotter. We were sweating!!!

Dined in last night and after waiting 40 mins just to get our food, I was served completely raw steak it was cold to the touch. I sent it back and then was brought back the same steak still undercooked, when I asked for it to be medium. now I have food poisoning. Completely unacceptable, whoever is in that kitchen does not care about food safety. And the worst part is it seems to be a reoccurring event after checking some other reviews.

Beyond happy with our overall experience! We sat on the patio (it’s beautiful and offered plenty of shad and sunny spots) Kennedy was our server and I’m blown away there is still someone in the industry as good and as seemly young as her. Attentive and friendly but not overbearing. Our drinks were never empty and they were the perfect mix (adult drinks) water was also kept full and iced in the heat. We ordered 3 apps between 2 people, left stuffed with left overs. Everything came out fast and hot. The portions are very large. 2 people can absolutely split one app. I’m overwhelmed with how great this spot is. Reminds me of downtown Saratoga. Inside was clean, the atmosphere very welcoming. If you haven’t tried I highly suggest! Bonus on the very chunky blue cheese.

Rock N Shrimp was excellent. Could use more slaw. The pineapple burger could have used more pineapple, but still good.

I always come here for their show games and other events. The latest venue I attended was the You're My Best Friend comedy show by Adam Sandler. It was phenomenal he really brought a great show to Albany. I'm very grateful to be a part of this town and events. Look forward to coming here for more shows the atmosphere is always great.

Plenty of parking nearby (both on-street and garages). A few local restaurants within walking distance. Concessions easily accessible from anywhere in the arena. Bathrooms are downstairs. Just note that they have size limits on purses that can be brought in.

The seats were nice I like that they were elevated. I just wish people would sit so we could see better. That is why the seats are elevated.

My husband , our son and I went to see the hot wheels event , it was great . The venue has lots of food and drink options . There was plenty of parking as well . The only complain I have is the seats are to close together . Everyone has to move if one person does , which was such a pain . We got the snow cone , Reese's dough bites , and pizza. Lines get very long for food/drinks !

The venue is great! Easy to get around and lots of food/drink choices. The reason I gave 3 stars... parking is HORRIBLE! The parking garage is so small, spaces are so tight. It took us 45 minutes for the cars to start moving so we could leave. Almost an hour before we got out of there. Find other places to park!

Just a great venue for concerts! It’s open air and you can see the trains pass next to the arena, which I loved. Wherever you sit you have a good view of the stage. I can’t wait to go back. I paid for the VIP parking which was worth it.

So happy we tried this place. I searched good gluten free food in Albany and it came up and it didn't disappoint. A great date night spot, we sat at the bar and it was cozy. The chef accommodated my gluten allergy and make a GF Chicken Marsala dish which was amazing. You can just tell it was made from scratch, even the sauce. So tasty! Definitely different than a popular chain restaurant where I normally get my Chicken Marsala dish. My boyfriend got a fish dish and said it tasted phenomenal. We both got lemon inspired drinks. The Limoncello martini was divine! We will be back, highly recommend.

What a wonderful restaurant and a friendly staff. We wetter celebrating my father's 75th birthday and were looking for a place in Albany convenient for people traveling from Boston, NYC, and Cooperstown... this was the perfect spot. The manager a 2nd owner could not have been nicer and more helpful with Planning the party and the food was excellent! We will definitely be returning !

Just WOW! Even though they’re offering a limited menu at this present time, it was enough to have a couple choices of different proteins. Very well done. The staff here is incredible! I was celebrating a very special day for me and they made it absolutely perfect. The food... the environment... everything was beyond my expectations. Great place to stop for lunch after picking up a guest at the airport. We sat outside in the pleasant patio. Our waitress was both friendly and efficient. Our sandwiches were delicious and the sweet potato fries to die for. I would definitely visit again. We decided to split a dessert and ordered the fried ice cream, which sounded delicious. Despite a beautiful presentation, neither of us were blown away. It was challenging to eat and the hard frozen ice cream had too much coating. But there were other appealing dessert choices and next time we'll try one of those. Overall, highly recommend Lanie's Cafe.

This is a great restaurant to visit with family and friends. The food is delicious and they’re generous with their portion sizes. The cocktails are also pretty strong. The waiters are very attentive and helpful. Violet made our visit an absolutely memorable one. Overall this restaurant gets a 10/10 from me.

I tried the Vegan New Age Bolognese at Lanie’s Café, and it was such a treat! The dish came with a side of fresh bread and a salad, making it a well-rounded and satisfying meal. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious vegetarian and wholesome option.

Came here for my son's birthday dinner, it's been on our list of places to try. It did not disappoint! There was a considerable wait time, so I suggest joining the waiting list in advance of the time you want to be there. The waitress was so nice and attentive to the right degree! She didn't hover, yet she was always there when we needed her. Margarita was delicious. The entrées come with salad bar, which we all got. The portions are big enough for me to eat for 3 full dinners! The mozzarella sticks were delicious (and big), as was the chicken sorrento I got. I can't speak for everyone else but they all seemed happy! I would definitely like to return and try some more dishes. The restaurant and staff were very warm and welcoming. It was very busy and a bit loud for a Sunday night but not in an off putting way. Also appreciated how they held our cake we brought in for my son, then brought it out after dinner with a spatula, plates, spoons and a lighter for the birthday candle. Truly a great experience. Can't wait to return!

Wellington's offers an upscale dining experience in Albany with great ambience and excellent food. The staff runs lean and often gets overwhelmed when the place gets busy or when dealing with large groups. Nonetheless, it is certainly worth a visit!

Alex, Olivia, Ian, Katie, Marco were fantastic people when I arrived at the Wellington restaurant. Super fun engaging conversation when I was at the bar enjoying myself. Loved the filet steak, cooked perfectly. Loved the cheesecake and the cosmos were perfect. 10/10 would come again if I was in Albany.

Staff was attentive at first but host was on his phone the whole time. We came in and our food took a while being that the whole restaurant was empty for lunch. I got the salmon bowl and the salmon was completely raw. We couldn’t get anyone’s attention and had to wait for the other waiter to come: she was highly apologetic and wonderful. Got my food back it was okay. They didn’t comp anything on the bill and the waiters didn’t seem to be on top of things even though it was empty. We had to wait five minutes after giving them the card for the bill to get it back. Would not recommend

Overpriced and Overly Mediocre Experience I recently visited hoping for a decent meal but was thoroughly disappointed by both the food quality and the overall atmosphere. Even by Albany standards, the prices here do not match the mediocre quality delivered. The dining experience started poorly with the main course. I ordered the burger, priced at $19, and it had a distinct and very off-putting bitter, burnt taste. The char on the patty was completely overwhelming, making the dish nearly inedible. The appetizer was equally perplexing. The charcuterie board was strange and felt poorly curated. It featured odd components like pickled zucchini and squash, which certainly don't belong on a classic board. More critically, the meats tasted low-quality and old. The salami was reminiscent of cheap low-grade sandwich meat, the prosciutto was noticeably dry, and the selection felt confused with the inclusion of chorizo. This plate, in particular, did not reflect the price point or the expectation of fresh ingredients. The only saving grace was the buffalo wings, which were simply alright—nothing special enough to merit a return visit. Beyond the menu, the restaurant itself feels rundown. The furniture is in dire need of repair; the fake leather on the chairs was peeling like crazy, creating a noticeably worn and unprofessional look. Between the poor execution of the food and the tired atmosphere, this establishment is significantly overpriced for what it offers. I cannot recommend it.

Food was really good, restaurant was super clean and well kept. Ordered the berry salad which was delicious and a burger. The burgher was a bit too crispy personally but still very good. Server had a great personality.

This is an odd review. Of ALL the restaurants with stairs of any kind, the few stairs needed to walk into the bar area, these are PERFECTLY aligned for the human step. I liked the atmosphere, open and inviting. I don’t know Spanish but the music was uplifting. We shared a meal that was perfect for 2 of us. A definite Tex-Mex style restaurant. I pray I C E stays the heck out. We will return.

In my opinion; this place is one of Albany,s best kept (hopefully NOT a secret) because the first time I went; with a friend, we had drinks and a sampler of two types of guac, queso, and salsa with bangin tortilla chips... I knew I needed to come back to try food from the menu... So... Wife and I went on black Friday for lunch and please trust me - we were not disappointed at ALLLL... Must try!!! Left a couple of pics (My wife's tacos and my vege burrito) absolutely scrumptious!!

Hands down one of the best chicken burritos I've ever experienced. Pollo Adobo Dorato, to be specific. Coated in red sauce, with some fresh hot sauce to boot and a little crema fresca. Omg. So good. We also got a Vegetarian Mexican Pizza, I'm told it was one of the best ever. But I never made it that far. Chips and salsa for the table was also outstanding and FRESH!! Staff was great, things moved quickly but we never felt rushed. We did book a table about 30 min before we got there. Not a bad idea on busy nights as there aren't a ton of tables, especially for larger parties. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll def be back.

My husband and I went to dinner on a Friday night and, yes, the music was a little too loud. However, we enjoyed the festive vibe and just accepted the fact that we would have to talk a little louder than we normally do. The signature guacamole was the best guacamole I have ever had, and my carne asada tacos were delicious. The steak was tender, and it came out without cilantro and with jalapenos added, as I requested. The cherry margarita was more cherry than tequila but still really good. We're looking forward to returning someday!

The tacos were amazing, and the staff was great as well. It's in a really convenient location of your traveling in the city and staying at one of the hotels, and the pricing is pretty reasonable. The food is a bit heavy, but that's what makes it great.

Making a new review because I accidentally placed the wrong review on this restaurant, it was meant for somewhere else close by. My apologies for that. This place had really good vibes and everyone was nice. The music was good and the environment was alive compared to other spots. The decor was really nice too! It's funny that the service was slow here as well, but I think it's just an Albany thing. The food took a while to come out but once it did, it was delicious! The corn was the highlight of the meal!

I am obsessed with Ama Cocina. Their food is amazing. I’ve gotten the birria quesadilla multiple times now and every time it’s equally phenomenal. Their margs are delicious and the guac fresh huge portion. Tacos were all delicious, fish are my favorite. Happy hour is the best!! I’ll come here anytime I need a perfect Mexican meal. One of the best Albany restaurants ❤️

Dinner included a salad plus entree. Food was well prepared. Deliciously seasoned, nice presentation. Enjoyed haddock Francaise, companions had chicken parm risotto and chicken Francaise. All were great! Quiet enough to hear companions talk, several options for seating. They also have a wine of the month club. Highly recommend

The warm oita bread and garlic aioli was amazing. Best part of the experience. Food was alright. Chicken Franchise was bland and didn't taste like it had any white wine. but otherwise prepared properly. Risotto size was great, but the grilled asparagus was a bit charred tasting. Shoestring fries were a surprise based on the price point of the burger. But they had good flavor and were not greasy.

Not super impressed. I've been twice and the first time the service was bad but we enjoyed the food despite the fact that they were out of risotto. The second time we went, our risotto was terribly undercooked, the asparagus was charred to a crisp and the service was still less than impressive. There's so much potential but they need a management makeover

I’ve been going to risotto for some time now I took a break and today is my first day back in 5 months and I order Avocado toast with tomatoes and mozzarella with sauce and there was no avocado and I love avocado And it also took sometime to get my food and my bottomless mimosas And it was just me and my partner there was no one else there in the restaurant. This upsetting be she I used to love coming here but things are different now even atmosphere, so unfortunate. The waitress was super sweet

We had excellent service but felt the food was subpar. We were not very impressed. Maybe we are biased from the start because there just seems to be something wrong with putting American cheese in risotto but we wanted to try it to change our minds. My egg was very over cooked. My cheeseburger risotto tasted like Italy and McDonald's clashed; perhaps perfect for a hangover. The fresh fruit didn't seem so fresh but perhaps cut down a few days ago. And not that I would tip any less but it was odd that they automatically add a 20% tip to your meal. I kind of found it convenient and wouldn't mind it being the norm though. My spouse said his food lacked flavor. We might venture back to try dinner but we will stick with our Nonna's risotto recipes for now on.

We came here with a group of three for brunch! We ordered our food, the waiter Ezra seemed like she didn’t really want to be there as she barely came to our table much. My friend ordered a banana foster that was cooked with nutmeg and they told us no nutmeg was in it when the taste and smell was very clear nutmeg was used and not cinnamon. Thankfully no one had an allergy. My friend didn’t eat the food and they refuse to take it off the bill. We Never coming back but we paid for something we didn’t even eat to avoid confrontation.

It was my first time hereand my 3 friends and I were very, very disappointed. The staff was not polite and actually came across quite cold. Being my 1st time I was unaware of how the bottomless mimosas worked. One of my friends and I ordered passion mimosas. My other two friends ordered bottomless which only consists of one flavor: orange. First of all the passion tastes like plain juice. Second we were never told that passion was not included in bottomless. So of course I ordered the orange bottomless which tatse worst than the passion Also their version of bottomless was only 3 refills. That's not bottomless at all. We canceled our food order after the rude manager told us that for brunch there will be a $20 gratuity added. Long story short my bill was $45 and I didn't even. Eat any food. I will never go back !!! Also the brunch menu online did not match the menu in person. They need to work on customer service and character. No wonder it was empty inside.

To be honest, the food was scrumptious during. I went there everyday during my three day staying in Albany. Salmon was fresh and the food was in big portion. However, the two waitresses speaking in mandarin were horrifying. One slap the bill hardly just because I did not make her keep the change. She asked me rudely: Do you want change. The third day, the other chinese waitress served me. She refused the the tipping and pushed back the money. okay fine. The owner was nice.

Idk it wasn’t bad but it wasnt good … the sushi like come on price chopper got better sushi … and something about the steak teriyaki it wasn’t flavorful… the potstickers wasn’t a fan of either and I love those.. the espresso martini was the best thing I had! It wasnt horrible but I wouldn’t choose to come back …

The sushi was amazing! Super fresh. We also had BBQ squid and shumai that were above average. Service was outstanding too.

Very pleased with the food from Samurai. Sushi platter was wonderful. They made one meal gluten free, upon request. Not clear about their soy sauce tho. If the online ordering does not work, just go in person, order. They bring out your pickup order fairly quickly. They know the online ordering doesn't always complete. 🤷‍♀️ i tried two different ways. Failed. Going in person was more time, but worth it.

This is the best sashimi and sushi combo I've ever had. The fish was fresh and expertly sliced. I'm very impressed with the quality and skill of the sushi chef. I also enjoyed an amazing hot sake that was both affordable and delicious. Definitely, I will return.

It was amazing. The rice, noodles, vegetables, steak, and chicken were perfect. The service and atmosphere were outstanding. Waitstaff were attentive and asked if anyone had food allergies immediately after sitting down. chef was very engaging. 100% going again.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night around 10. The place was empty and we were the only customer. We got the mango sushi roll and the crazy sushi roll to start. Then I got the crazy noodles with chicken. The sushi was excellent. Highly recommend the crazy sushi roll it had a caviar like topping. The crazy noodles with lo mein noodle was good if you like slightly spicy food. I recommend trying this. Because we were got there at 10 and the restaurant closes at 11, the hibachi section was closed and only regular dining was available. Our server was hurrying us and we had to order quickly. The food came quickly. Nice and clean restaurant , will go there to check out the hibachi again.

I don’t typically order from here but my job does. I’ve been thinking about making this review the last time I ordered the mozzerlla sticks and did the upcharge for the rasberry sauce. Usually when I get that sauce it’s a sauce and not jam. I ordered a cup of french onion soup the other day and it was delicious. I ordered another one today but got the crock. Seemed to be the same size. My bread was burnt. And one of the cups werent full like the last, couldve ordered the cup at that point. I was sick & went on my lunch for soup today. $7 for burnt bread with soup isnt ideal.

We got there at 9:15 and didn’t get our food until 10:30. We were split into two tables since we had a large party and the other table got their food 20 minutes before us and were done by the time we got our food. The service was terrible, the manager was no help and the waiter would walk away before we were done telling him what we needed and would bring the wrong items. We got a soup that we did not order and he brought over the wrong drinks twice. I got the junior burger which was fine, but the fried pickles appetizer (which we didn’t get until we got our food) was dry and way too salty, we also had a mozzarella stick with no cheese inside (I have no idea how that’s possible). Luckily we got some sort of compensation but by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, I would not recommend.

Best food my husband and I have ever had. We ordered and everything was hot and on the table in 5 minutes. We’re stilling talking it about it the next day. Cannot get over how good and quick it was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Beautiful place, awesome vibe. Foods are really tasty. We tried chicken wings with creamy ghost pepper sauce- my God it was so spicy and sooo delicious that I would have to eat that again. Mostly foods are not bland and all of the foods are really delicious. Our server was very friendly and was always smiling- always love that quality.

Yum. I couldn't wait to go back again to try other items on the menu after the burger. The burgers here are so big, plan on falling asleep on the couch after. The fries are great and get the cheese sauce on the side for dipping. It's great sauce. This time I got the Barrel Wrap, chicken, whiskey barrel sauce, cheese... Nom nom nom. And the fries again. My friend ordered chicken tenders and was not prepared for how many he got and how big they were. It was about $20 a piece before tip for a big plate, served pretty quickly and the staff is friendly. There are more items on the menu I want to try, so I'll certainly be back.

I’ll start off by saying, I love their buffalo chicken quesadilla… usually… Today was an unusual pickup day where I got more of a sad cheese quesadilla with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on a .1 ounce portion of chicken. I’ve never written a review in my life, nor did I ever think it would come to this point. But the last two times have disappointed me.

The place was ok. Definitely could use an upgrade. The employees? They were great and bartender was so cool…and good looking I might add. The aesthetics could definitely use an upgrade but overall, it was a chill place. Food came out and was nice and hot. Definitely appreciate fresh buffalo tenders and fries. Would I return? Maybe. If bartender is there…DEFINITELY 🙃

Was visiting Albany and staying in downtown . Was hungry and stepped out for food . Saw this place - dawns cafe ! It was just 8 pm when we went there… they just had drinks .. no food ! Can’t believe they didn’t have food ! Service was ok…. Beer on tap was good. They had blue moon and it was good . They didn’t even have some finger food … there were seats outside and some seats inside . Average place overall .. 3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Had a good time here, stopped in to watch NCAA Tournament games. Food was good (wings & cheese steak), vibes were good. Server/bartender couldn't have been friendlier. Was it Dawn? Not sure, didn't ask.

In downtown Albany NY on Sunday most places are closed but Dawn's Victory Sports Cafe was open. It's a Chilled atmosphere . Their service was great and the food was delicious. This place is bigger than what you see , there is extra dining space on the other side and also upstairs space for special events.

We were in town for the 2025 CrossFit Games and stumbled upon Dawn's Victory Sports Cafe, right across the street from our hotel. What started as a convenient dinner stop quickly became our go-to spot every single night of our trip! The vibe here is unbeatable: welcoming, local, and full of charm. On our last night, we were lucky enough to meet Dawn, the owner, and it all made sense. She's incredibly friendly and clearly pours her heart into this place. We learned that most of the staff have been with her for years, and it shows in how genuinely kind and attentive everyone was. Not only did they open on days they normally wouldn't, but they even put together a special menu just for the CrossFit crowd. That kind of thoughtfulness and flexibility is rare these days. Every waitress and bartender we met was just the sweetest. We truly felt like part of the local crew by the end of the weekend. We're crossing our fingers that the Games return to Albany next year because we'll absolutely be back. Thank you, Dawn and team!

It’s a cool place . Bartender was super nice . I had the steak Caesar . It was good . It looks like a great hangout kinda place . The wraps looked huge ! I wish I got one . Next time for sure . Definitely worth a stop

The place had such a cool & authentic/unique atmosphere, I liked looking at all the 1$ money 🤑. The waitresses (Alex and Gianna) were so nice and kind to us, and to the other customers we observed! They food was also SOOOOOOOOO good!!! The steamed pork belly buns were the best I have ever had so far in my life! (Even though they were the first steamed pork buns I have ever had in my life), The ramen was so big that the three of us split it three ways and it did NOT disappoint. It was so flavorful and the mung bean sprouts added just the right amount of crunch. And the broth was TO DIE FOR, I've had multiple ramen for like DOUBLE the price of this with HALF the flavor, but this had ALL the flavor AND SOME EXTRA!!! Alex was also so nice for giving us a bag of ice so we didn't have to buy some ourselfs :) 10000000% recommend!

We were really in the mood for ramen to end our road trip and came by this really unique restaurant! The setup and vibes were immaculate, and it truly felt like stepping into a piece of history. That being said, it is a smaller establishment and might not be suitable for large groups. We ordered the pork belly buns, 2 of the teppanyaki chicken with rice, and 2 of the tonkotsu ramen. The food was delicious, and the cut of the pork in both the buns and the tonkotsu ramen were perfect! The only thing to note is that we did end up waiting 20+ minutes for our food. But all in all it was a great and delicious experience!

Tried the Curry Chicken Spicy Ramen here and it was fantastic. The broth was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. The shredded chicken was tender, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the half-boiled egg added a nice creamy balance to the spice. The portion size is generous, and it’s definitely a hearty, comforting meal. If you enjoy bold flavors and a good kick of spice, this one’s worth ordering.

Went here based solely on the name. The vibes looking in from the outside are very cute and once you get inside you have your choice of a booth or a big wooden bar with seating on both sides. It’s very cozy, but I got their spicy tampopo tonkatsu ramen and everything about it was mediocre - it was lukewarm, the pork chasu tasted a bit freezer burnt, and the flavor was okay. I would go back for the vibes, but not for the food.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was definitely beyond words. Very comfortable, classy, tasteful, warm, and very rustic. Our waitress for the night was amazing, very funny, attentative, informative & very willing to make sure everyone in our party was accommodated as we had some allergies / food sensitivities. The waitress was very informative with every aspect of it and made sure everyone was happy! The food was 3.5/5 for myself. The wings were delicious, the deviled eggs were good but were a little oily for me (which was a strange combo in deviled eggs) & the side Mac & cheese was very spot on. My fiancé had the steak special. He mentioned it seemed very under rested, needed a lot more seasoning, and was very tough in texture. I ordered the pan roasted chicken (pan roasted chicken, onions, Brussel sprouts & fingerling potatoes). It was okay, but I would personally not order again. The dish was missing a lot of texture & seasoning. The Brussel sprouts were very undercooked, basically raw. The fingerling potatoes were very under seasoned and didn't have much texture to them. The chicken, while although okay flavoring, was overcooked / dry & it the skin on it was very rubbery. It seemed pan seared & then sat out for a while to obtain that texture. While an alright entrée, could have used a lot more seasoning. Crispy skin, & just some more flavor to the entire dish. Perhaps crispy fingerling potatoes instead of what seemed to be just boiled. Adding some sort of sauce to the dish & more seasoning would have pulled it more together. The other members of our party got chicken & waffles, which was said to be very good, and the jambalaya, which was given many compliments that it was absolutely delicious! We did order a few drinks. My fiancé enjoyed his beer, two of us ordered the Southen Belle drink which was Very good, and another member ordered the Bees Knees, which they unfortunately did not love at first, but grew to like. They said the clove in the drink was just a little too much right off the bat. My fiancé and I did get dessert to go, which was both very good! However, I do believe the dessert is outsourced from another local company, but it was still good, regardless! Overall, I would definitely be back! The food was decent (that I had), the atmosphere was amazing, and the staff was overall VERY friendly, very attentative & overall very kind.

I have eaten at Cuckoo’s Nest many times and it never disappoints. Absolutely delicious brunch and dinner, every time. You cannot get a bad meal here - every menu option is delicious. I have had the fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, chicken and waffles, the dad sandwich, eggs benedict, Nashville hot chicken sandwich, jambalaya, mac & cheese, and the hot chick soul bowl. Everything has been incredibly good every time. I highly recommend coming here for brunch or dinner. If you are into cocktails,they usually have a very good specialty list and I have tried a few which were of course … delicious! Service has always been very good as well.

Amazing!!! This place is such a hidden but non hidden jewel. I enjoyed every minute of our dinner here on a Friday night. We didn't have a reservation but we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Atmosphere: This place is small but the atmosphere is very nice with a twist of homey & modern. Inside the restaurant was a bit chilly so we ended up dining outside. Both inside and outside seating had ample amount of seating and very nice. Staff: Everyone and I mean everyone was super friendly at this establishment. The hostess was sure to greet us with a smile and our server was just as friendly. Everyone seemed to help each other out and was quick to answer any questions and helped to make you feel welcomed. Food: This place doesn't have a huge menu but there is still plenty to choose from. I went with the salmon while my spouse went for the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Everything was made fresh to order and was cooked to perfection. We also ordered a few drinks and they were just as tasteful as the food. Overall, I would recommend this place to any and everyone. I can't wait to be back in the area again do I can give this place another visit.

Fantastic food, in a cozy setting. Chicken and waffles were flavorful and absolutely perfect. Beautiful smoke ring and smokiness to the ribs. Grits with cheese were an excellent side that I would not usually order. Fried green tomato appetizer was excellent. Generous portions, and a lot of food for the price. Will be back next time I’m in Albany.

Such great food and an amazing staff. My family and I have been going here for a little over a year and the food is consistently delicious. We met the head chef and owner today, who were super welcoming and friendly. The staff is super. Great mix of savory and breakfast/sweet menu items...like chicken. And waffles. Their French toast and home fries take it to the next level though!

We were pleasantly surprisedly on the decor and ambiance of this restaurant. The staff is exceptional and were accommodating to our elderly mother which we greatly appreciated. Presentation was top notch and the food was delicious at a reasonable price. I only wish the biscuits were a softer but other than that everything was great and I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

Food and service were both amazing. Naya was patient with our special requests. Biscuits, bacon, eggs, chicken, biscuit and sausage gravy were all perfectly cooked and delicious. Breakfast sausage was okay. Seated outdoors, we were frequently being visited by a couple of bees that we loved. Consider indoors dining if you don't love bees as we do. We would definitely revisit whenever we are in Albany again

When it comes to wings, Hooters rules! They have the most juiciest and tastiest wings ever and I like the easy going vibe.

We braved crazy rain to visit Nine Pin Cider Works during out trip, and so glad that we did. The cider was excellent, offering a wide variety of flavors with distinct profiles. The Signature was an excellent base cider, but I also liked the Strawberry and Imperial a lot. Being a huge fan of pickles, I had to get the cheese and pickle boat. These pickles are pretty amazing, they are not dill, but they are not sweet, and they have just a little bit of spice to them. We also took advantage of having donuts from Cider Belly donuts, enjoying the cinnamon and sugar and the latte donut. There was a large crowd there in the production floor for an event, but we went to the main level serving area and had a great seat and it was not so loud. The staff were friendly and patient with all my questions about the ciders. We really enjoyed our experience.

I’m a big cider fan and visited with friends. The service was friendly and quick, and the drinks were fantastic — I tried the Apple of My Pie, Tales by the Campfire, and the Belgium Cider. We also had the pretzels with beer cheese (so good!) and the sourdough pepperoni pizza, which was tasty, though a little cold. My husband enjoyed his sandwich, and it was great that they had gluten-free options for our friend. It’s a charming spot, and I’d definitely return next time I’m in town!

We didnt get food but visited the brewery to grab a quick flight to help choose the best ciders. Wishing they had pear, but they did have some delicious options. Blueberry cobbler was great but the apple pie had all the notes of a hot delicious fresh baked apple pie!

This place is in a perfect spot for a peaceful fun or calm vibe. The host Courtney was very polite and helpful. I ordered the mini charcuterie board and a buffalo chicken and Mac and cheese empanada. For my drink I had 2 cosmos. (Hard cider) they were delicious, refreshing and they have a little kick if you know what I mean. lol. Very modern and lovely aesthetic. The art work in the restaurant is amazing. I love it definitely will be back!!

Such a beautiful theater. I love the smaller venues for a play since every seat in the house is a winner. Having a convenient parking lot, even with the small fee is perfect. The snacks and beverages before and during (intermissions) are perfect. Comparable pricing to most entertainment venues.The reception area had ample seating for drinking and snacking, the gorgeous old beams leant character to a modern interior space with soaringly high ceilings, The play, The Lehman Brothers, was phenomenal. Three mega talented actors portraying multiple characters including women, children and even a baby. Masterfully directed and staged. It was a serious, fun, and edifying way to spend an afternoon. The three hour spectacle (with 2 intermissions) went by so quickly, the extra long time was barely noticeable. Definitely going back for more.

"Once" - A phenomenal show performed at Cap Rep! The intimate setting made you feel you were sitting in the Irish Pub. The voices of every actor were astounding. Lifting you with joy ...and striking the heart with sorrow. Just amazing! A must see!

Another brilliant performance! An intimate theater experience. Not a bad seat in the house. Last night we enjoyed a fantastic musical: Once The entire cast were eminently talented musicians/actors. The music was completely enjoyable. Standouts were Lily Talevski (the main female protagonist) and Adam Huel Potter Who was hilarious in his role. “Once” will play through July 29th. Totally worth it!

What a great place to watch a show. Small. Intimate. Truly not a bad seat in the house. It's only 12 or 14 rows deep. You'll see and hear everything just fine. And the production quality is first rate. Can't wait for next season!!!

Every seat is excellent in the beautiful intimate theater space. The latest production, Seared, is first-rate, with outstanding actors, director, and set. The Rep is well organized with security and concessions and the bathrooms are sparkling clean. Love the nice touch of mints in the Ladies Room. Can’t wait to come back!

Great spot! Food was delicious and the vibe was perfect. Nick the manager was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. We stayed for Dove After Dark with a DJ from 10–1 AM and loved the fun late-night crowd. Will definitely be back!

I came here for brunch and My server Ivy was really nice and made me feel really welcomed. Give that girl a raise! I ordered the kale Ceasar warp with truffle fries and it was DELICIOUS. The restaurant has a chill cozy vibe and is in a quaint part of town. If you're in the area definitely stop by. Highly recommend.

Found this place on vacation. Food is fantastic. We had a BLT added an egg. Toasted dark. It was spot on. One of the freshest salads I have had. Dressing was house dressing. Something spicy. Frigging awesome. Chicken wrap. Fries again, fantastic. Service top notch.

Came in for a quick drink, ending up getting a few appetizers. Crab cakes, truffle fries, shishito peppers, burrata all absolutely amazing! Crab cakes are out of this world! Everything was beyond delicious. Presentation and service are A++! Livia made the most perfect mojito and is so sweet! Nick was the best at answering all my questions about the menu and specials that change weekly, I honestly can not wait to come back to experience more of this fabulous menu!

ordered a burger with a gift avocado, the burger was oversold, the fries were completely oversalted. waited for the order for 45 minutes... the waitress didn't even apologize, she just silently put the food down and left. a very nice place, freshly renovated, but the service spoils everything, very low standard. and very greasy and tasteless food.

I had a great experience at The Savoy in Albany. The burger was absolutely delicious juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Their drinks are no joke either, generously poured and well-crafted, which made for a fun and relaxed evening. We also tried the shishito pepper hummus, which had a nice kick and great flavor. The only surprise was that it was served cold, I wasn’t expecting that but it still paired really well with the assortment of fresh, high-quality breads that came with it. Overall, a solid spot for great food, strong drinks, and a cool atmosphere. Would definitely come back!

We visited Savoy last night, Tuesday, for the Burger and Beer special. What a deal! $15 for what looked to be a perfectly cooked medium rare burger with cheese, tomato and Savoy's special sauce plus a draft beer for my companion and a slight upcharge of $3 more for my vegan Beyond Meat patty with vegan cheese, tomato and sauce; plus a draft beer. We sat at the bar with the lovely Hailey who explained the different beers on tap and chatted with us when she wasn't mixing up an array of interesting and fresh looking cocktails. It's a dark bar, dark wood and fixtures, just the type of neighborhood bar I love. The temperature outside was hot and humid but inside it was perfect, not warm but not so air conditioned that I froze in my shorts and sandals. The owner, who we've met before at their other restaurant, The Copper Crow, another great place, made sure to say hi and ask us how our evening went. Draft beers are half price all evening long on Tuesdays so our total bill for 3 drafts each, a burger, a Beyond Meat patty, minus tip was under $50! It's been a long time since the two of us were able to spend a few hours at a bar and leave full and happy for that price.

We loved everything about this pub. Such a nice chill atmosphere with terrific play lists. Our service was excellent as was the food. Great variety of foods from a rustic flavorful squash soup to the burgers and fries. Many varieties on the Moscow Mule and lots of draft beer choices. This was a perfect finish to our day in Albany.

Stopped by Savoy Taproom as it was one of the few restaurants where dinner was being served after 10 pm. The food was excellent, the selection of drinks was also solid, and the service was extremely hospitable. Definitely worth a visit!

Best mule I've ever had! It was their monthly selection, but I imagine they are all fantastic. We also had the pimento burger, and the bacon brie burger, both ooey gooey and delish. Great atmosphere, we will be back when they have their full menu!

Having first visited Savoy Taproom a few months back, I knew my husband would enjoy it as he was looking to try someplace new for dinner last evening. Their website is straightforward in stating they require vaccination cards and they mean it too. We like that. If you don't, there are plenty of other options in town. Continuing on the safety-first journey, you'll find they don't offer menus and instead point you to their website which is easy to navigate. From what I saw, all staff wore masks and they wore them properly - over the nose. We started our evening with a Tito's Vodka Martini and their current Old Fashioned: Saintly Daddy. Simple said about the martini: they pour a good one. The Old Fashioned was bright, warm, and refreshing on a cold winter night. With a hint of pear and the aroma of the dried orange crisp, I had to have two. For starters, we ordered their Poached Pear Salad and the Crispy Cauliflower. Both were quite unique with the pear salad being on the lighter, sweet, and savory side. The cauliflower, having been fried, is a heartier salad with small bits of pickle providing a bright pop. Both were winners! While we hoped to order the Flat Iron steak, it wasn't being offered at the time. (We look forward to trying that in the future!) Instead, I ordered the Mississippi Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries. The crispy chicken breast was served on a perfectly toasted brioche bun. It was topped with pickles, lettuce, tomato, and their Jackson sauce which is similar to the Golden Arch's 'special sauce'. I didn't see if there was an up-charge but I had the Buffalo Bourbon fries. The sauce was deliciously tangy though I did find the fries to be a bit drenched in the sauce. I'd suggest asking them to go light on the sauce or serve it on the side. Ignoring the advice of our server, my husband ordered 10 Jumbo Wings instead of the suggested 5 with their Medium sauce. They were indeed jumbo and the sauce was spot on...not too mild, not too hot, and had great flavor. Needless to say, 5 is enough as he brought the other 5 home. For dessert, we took home the Lovin' Spoonful Big Chocolate Cake which is a chocolate lover's dream: chocolate on chocolate on chocolate! We also got the Creme Brulee Cheesecake which is an interesting and tasty combination of the two desserts wrapped up in a single slice of pie. If you can't tell, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and look forward to many more at the Savoy Taproom. Shout out to Amanda and Keri for making our evening a success! Thoughts for management: Put QR codes on tables to help guide patrons to your menu. Dress up your to-go desserts a bit with a garnish of some sort; they pale in comparison to the in-house plating you do with other dishes.

There were mixed reviews between Google and yelp but the photos of the food is what compelled me to go here. I thought the food was great. I had a Brooklyn Pub Burger with garlic parmesan fries. The server was less than attentive and didn't really seem to want to be there like she was annoyed to have to do her job. All and all, If you are in the area, I recommend you stop by and have a bite to eat in a good atmosphere.

We had our post-elopement "party" at Albany Distilling Company and could not have been happier with our decision! Natalie (the bar manager) went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was absolutely perfect. She really went the extra mile from the custom drinks, to the easy communication, to seeing our vision through. She is the best! All of our guests (130~ people) RAVED about how great the cocktails were and how kind and QUICK the bar staff was. The space itself is a great background and we spiced it up with some amazing decor from The Balloonary and florals that we put together ourself. In addition to all of that the fact that their in house caterer is Defazio's you really cannot beat it! I would HIGHLY recommend it for your next private event or just to visit for a delicious cocktail whenever you're in town!

Nice little spot for a drink. Beautiful Rustic interior. Those exposed bricks looks beautiful, as well as those windows. The barkeep was professional, and gave us tips about local spots. The collaboration beer with the pumping station was a good call. Best beer I had in Albany during my visit. Great find; I recommend a visit.

The courtyard is amazing and has a really cool vibe and the service is always great. I love that there is a pizza place right next door and you can bring the food into the bar and relax. Their vodka is top notch and I'm always happy to support their business by buying a bottle or two. Their Knickerbocker Tea is quite scrumptious as well!

Everything here is made in NY. There is a reasonable price for Albany themed cocktails. They serve beer as well. The bar is clean and the bartenders are nice. The Knickerbocker tea (named after the old Albany newspaper) is delicious. The liquor is delicious. They have a private space and they will provide a bartender with an open bar for about 25-35$ person plus tip per hour. Very new establishment. There is an outdoor area in the back that used to be a stable for the old Nabisco Biscuit company in the 1800s. It's a large outdoor area with tons of space. Can't wait to check it out in the summer. Don't let the location put you off. This place is worth visiting for a cocktail.

I came all the way from Minnesota to have the "Dark Honey". It was SPECTACULAR! And John & Connor were awesome bartenders (and DJs). We'll see you next year!

This place is different but cool . They ha e books to read, a t-shirt shop, etc. You order online or at the cashier but your food is brought out to you. The crepes were good. They are served up like a cinnamon roll. The prices are good but I somehow felt the portions were small. The place is big.

I was passing through the area with a friend who was attending a nearby function. Hungry but craving something simple and low-key, I browsed a few nearby spots. A cozy creperie caught my eye—honestly, I realized it had been way too long since I’d had a proper, hearty crepe. Later, I returned with my friend, and we shared both savory (pulled pork) and sweet crepes. Both hit the spot. The neighborhood itself added to the charm—great for people-watching with a relaxed, understated vibe. The ambiance was casual, the service efficient, and the menu had a nice balance between sweet and savory. Portions were on the smaller side, but satisfying. I’d happily return—and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an unfussy, enjoyable bite.

This place was delicious, clean, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Definitely recommend the smash burger it was awesome as well as their take on a hash brown, the hash purples, with beets which were delicious. Overall great experience.

It is an order from the table or up at the counter type of service. The food I ordered was ok for the most part. I had a couple of issues though. The eggs were obviously made on a dirty skillet as they came out a little black from the old grease. I asked for the hot chocolate to be hot, and she said that they can make it piping hot. I thought that would be perfect. But, alas, the hot chocolate was luke-warm at best. I would recommend eating here, but maybe take note of anything you might dislike to bring to their attention. I did not want to do that. I was not going to wait for anything to be remade, as they should really do it right the first time. I'm sure many people have had lovely experiences. They are locally outsourced, so that is good. Hopefully, they take note of my review and make sure this doesn't happen again.

I had the eggs and crepes breakfast. Scrambled eggs were very salty? Crepes were very good as well as the sausage. Delicious coffee. Not a lot of food IMO for $15. Interesting decor. Relaxed atmosphere.

Great music and excellent crepes, pancakes plus much more. Maple milkshakes in Western NY cannot go wrong😇. We love the crepes in sweet and savory flavors, which included the Blueberry, Cubano, Pesto Chicken and “Johnny” with pulled pork 👍👍👍 Easy self ordering systems too 😎. I can't say enough about how incredible our experience was at The Copper Crow. We needed to make it happen in under an hour, and the team absolutely delivered. Our drinks and food were on the table in just 10 minutes – talk about speed! But it wasn't just fast service; the food was PHENOMENAL, bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. And the drinks? Even better! Every sip was a delight. This place definitely earns a 100-star review in my book. Can't wait to return!

Going here we expected an eclectic menu but upon ordering the Tom Yum Shrimp, Harissa Cavatelli, the Sushi Roll salad and the Ribeye we were underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. For me the Harissa was too spicy not indicated on the menu that it would be. The Tom Yum was too experimental and tasted weird to most of our party. The Sushi salad was the biggest disappointment being a huge bowl of mostly lettuce and ginger and hardly any salmon. The ribeye was the only dish really enjoyed. Service was average our drinks were refilled timely and we were given 2 pitchers of water at the start which were needed. But for the price we paid for our dishes we were left unsatisfied. Also the wait was exceptionally long as we waited 45min-1hour between ordering our mains and receiving them.

This was the first time I tried this place and honestly am only writing a review so management knows how great their staff is. We sat at the bar and immediately felt at home with the friendly staff. It was a busy Saturday night but they always had our drinks full and were fun to chat with. The food on the other hand was just eh. We got the cauliflower shared plate, it was ok but just really a saucy mess. The calamari was a very small portion and wasn’t crispy at all. The star of the show was the cheesy egg rolls. Those were tasty! I would return but honestly only because the staff was such a great bunch of people.

This place was very cool! Great atmosphere and excellent food and drinks. The strawberry mint nuke was great and the brussel sprouts app is amazing! Try the duck bao buns too if they have them!

very interesting menu. Asian American fusion it seems like. the mushroom spetzel appetizer was amazing. definitely recommend getting that. also the steak and fries was good. very kids friendly staff, both to our child and others. the decor was beautiful. we loved the different types of lighting and exposed beams. the complimentary valet was much appreciated as it stormed during dinner. the drinks were excellent. love the touch of getting a postcard with the bill.

This place has some of the best beer in the area. Often overshadowed by several other breweries and bars nearby, but well worth the visit. The fruited IPAs and sneaky strong stouts will definitely have us coming back again soon.

We went for a Saturday filled with a taco truck (Buenos Comida I Think) tacos were crazy good. A girl and her guitar, she was above average. The staff actually appreciated our business, rare to find nowadays. And the beer. The beer was outstanding! I’ve never been here. I have hit up a lot of the new and some older breweries in the Capital Region. They have an IPA called Patroon Island. I would put this up against any local IPA around here . Something like 8.7% with hints of orange and pineapple. I ordered 2 and bought a 4pack to bring home. Next time you are in the warehouse district of Albany , do yourself a favor …stop in. You will thank me later.

When we arrived @715pm on Saturday night there were 3 other people in the whole brewery. The bartender thought it was more important to finish his conversation with another couple before coming over to help us. Like cmon. Tell them to hold on for a second. Then the beer we had was super mediocre. Won’t be back.

I was here on a Tuesday night for a 90's themed trivia night. We had an awesome time. Their flight gauntlet was a great way to try all of their beers. They have a passion fruit and mango sour that I loved. They have lots of options so there is something for everyone (wheat beers, IPAs, stouts etc). My husband liked their Peanut Butter beer and Fort Orange IPA which had some citrus undertones. There was a food truck parked outside selling burgers, fries, hotdogs, fried dough and churros at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

I ordered lunch through door dash, getting a salad from Bellinis counter. Half of the stuff that I ordered was not on my salad. How do you put 1 roasted pepper on? No chicken, onions, tomatoes, olives. I thought I would try something different, not again.

Lunch is solid but I won’t ever order after 4pm. Just ate bread sticks and a wrap with rice, all tasted like it sat there since 11am. Never again on my dollar.

We walked in 15 min to close. The server put the pasta in the bowl and then proceeded to touch his hat with his gloves on, took the hat off, shook his head over the counter where the bowl was, and put his hat back on. He adjusted his gloves and was about to put the sauce in the bowl when we decided to walk out. We were so grossed out. Completely appalled at the lack of awareness and sanitation. We eat here all the time, but now I don't know if we can go back.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS LOCATION. THIS PLACE IS NOT SANITARY AT ALL!!! I placed a pick up order from this location on 03/04/2025. The food look and tasted great but I unfortunately felt sick after eating it and wound up throwing up and did not feel better until I threw up all the food. That happened because Belinis Counter was not CLEANED or SANITIZED. Disgusted and disappointed with store, it was my favorite place, I’ve only gotten sick form this location, the workers are not keeping the place clean or sanitized. WASH UOUR HANDS BEFORE SERVING FOOD AND USE GLOVES. NEVER RECOMMENDING THIS LOCATION. RATE: 0/20 TERRIBLE.

HUUUGGEEE PORTIONS!! The pasta bowl is enough for 4 people! I was not expecting that. The wraps are the biggest wraps I've ever had. Everything fresh and delicious!

Every time I come in, I am always greeted with the biggest smile from Megan and Kayla. I never know what to order, and they are always very informative and helpful on the items they offer. I always order what they tell/recommend to me and it is beyond delicious. I look forward to seeing them when I come back , and trying something new. Their energy is always so welcoming , and I have never had an issue with them. These ladies are the best!

The rice was undercooked. Food was cold, and they barely gave me any chicken even though I ordered extra, staff were nice but definitely wasn’t preparing the food correctly.

Best food and excellent beer! Staff is great! Is a little different than the last time I was here. No longer are you able to buy single canes, you must buy four packs. The selection was greater than I'm used to. They had 20 different cans available and one 750ml stout bottle. I'm used to 6-8 available.

I had a great experience here. Lovely bartender who provided some great drink recommendations, good food and excellent beer. Just visiting from out of town, but I'd be back again if I were a local.

The quality if their IPA is just insane. I definitely bought some cans to go. The smash burger with fries was a very good choice. It worth the 4 hours drive just to visit this brewery

Our experience was disappointing, with easily the worst food we've had in a long time. For lunch, we ordered the Fidens Smash and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were heavily burnt and had an almost rock-hard texture, especially around the edges. It seems they were cooked in old, well-used oil, which left a bitter, unpleasant taste and a distinct 'old oil' smell. Even the chips on the side had the same issue. The only thing better was a few cucumber slices served with the meal.

The giant, modern taproom in Albany is completly worth a stop when in the area. World class beers in an open airy environment. The beer garden brings outdoors into the restaurant via a large garage door. Further indoors, is a large wrap-around bar and a lofted space. While the focus is on IPAs (DDH Jasper is amazing), the execution is flawless, even in classic styles like Witbier and Amber lagers. There will be no need for morning breakfast cause we ate like Kings tonight 😋 🙌 The Philly Cheese Steak was made with fresh rib eye and came with homemade chips. The pickles were homemade and perfect. The Fidens Smashburger was another brilliant double patty burger and we ordered a side of fries too. The Jasper Jr Beer was fantastic! The environment was spacious with great music, TVs & LIGHTS overhead. I saw them on Maps and had to try. Thanks again.

I like this art gallery for their community connections and offering programing for the community as well.

It was very niche & small, but the art I saw was really impressive. The building itself was also very clean, and the employees were social.

Great local center where they are reaching out in the community to connect local artists to kids. With the goal being to get them interested in a positive ways of expressing themselves through many different art medias.

The size is special as you can see everything on display in short period of time. And, the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. Its a hidden treasure in Albany, NY.

Parking can be a challenge, but the gallery is nice. Enjoyed the bonsai exhibit.
