Kaffeekommune, located in the Mainzer Oberstadt, is not just a cozy café but also a roastery. The founder and his team are passionate about seeking the best coffee flavors by roasting their own beans and collaborating with skilled artisans. They are dedicated to sharing their expertise to shape the future of excellent coffee. The café's unique ambiance both indoors and outdoors provides an inviting space to relax.
A very pleasant place in Mainz 🌸 I discovered this café spontaneously, while wandering around the city. I was attracted by the café's small window through which you can place an order. Since then, every time I go back to Mainz, I return to this café. The latte is really good and I'd like to give a special mention to their banana bread with a knob of butter on top, which is just excellent ! It's the perfect place for a solo date or a date with friends :))

Great coffee and a Khruangbin playlist? In Mainz? Sound like heaven. It’s a quaint little place which is definitely worth visiting. Great service, great coffee, great music.
Nicolas K — Google review
I had a delicious scone and my friend the banana bread. The atmosphere is warm, but if you choose to sit inside, the coffee machine noise may be too much at times😅
Nopitynah — Google review
My experience at this café was truly wonderful. The atmosphere is unique and cozy, with a modern design and artistic touches that make the visit enjoyable. The coffee itself was excellent – rich, well-balanced, and clearly prepared with great care and high-quality beans. I also appreciated the friendly and efficient service, which made the overall experience even better. This café clearly reflects a passion for coffee and attention to the small details that leave a lasting impression. For me, it’s definitely one of the must-visit spots for anyone who loves great coffee and a special vibe. I will surely come back again.
Our_Discoveries5 — Google review
Amazing espresso, the man behind the machine makes each coffee with obsession that delivers. Had to wait quite a bit for ordering, but it was pleasant and worth it. Wish this place was at my hometown. Thanks!
Lauve L — Google review
Frankly, it's an overrated place. The owner is a bit arrogant and hesitant to speak. When I examined the packaged coffees on the shelf, he reacted angrily; I think he's using them as a painting. The coffee tastes ordinary.
Ergin Y — Google review
This is a delightful coffee shop that offers scrumptious coffee, pastries, and bread. The amicable staff is proficient in English and provides outstanding service. If you happen to be in Mainz, this is a must-visit spot that you shouldn't miss.
Josue G — Google review
A good coffee place with a very and friendly staff and a cosy outside seating. The pastry - a shortbread - was good as well. On the other hand, the coffee was a bit a disappointment: not bad overall, but definitely not up to the standard - too creamy and watery, coffee taste itself felt weak.

Cafe
Café Blumen is a charming glass-fronted café located next to the Schon Schon cultural venue and nightclub. It offers a cozy retro-chic ambiance adorned with fresh flowers and green plants, making it an ideal spot for breakfast enthusiasts. The menu features a variety of homemade dishes with occasional Spanish influences, along with top-notch coffee that caters to both casual visitors and regular patrons.
A great cafe for coffee, other drinks, cakes. Good location too. Near to the city center and not far from the river promonade. They have a nice selection of drinks and freshly baked cakes and wuick sandwiches too.
Alireza J — Google review
I was here with a friend. I ordered latte and a walnut chocolate vegan cake both the things tasted good. My friend ordered panini and tea, which she enjoyed as well. A small cosy, cheap and lovely place. I'd recommend it to people :)
Kelly B — Google review
Lovely place, my favorite in Mainz! Cozy yet elegant atmosphere, nice service, coffee and cake! For me It is a calm Location (to reflect and chill). Even during the weekend when its busier, it is still very pleasant.
Ioanna M — Google review
Very chill peeps there, I luv the outdoor seating. The menu is also pretty solid, there’s (luckily) lots of vegan options, the cakes are scrumptious and the iced coffees are great as well. Service can take quite a while but it actually depends on how packed it is, so let’s be honest it’s understandable and the staff is still kind and good at managing orders. Always worth a visit
Dr. G — Google review
Very cozy coffee shop. I really liked the patio seating by the fountain outside but the inside has comfy chairs. They can do table service if you dine in but you can also just order and pay at the counter. It seems very popular with the hipster crowd but based on my experience it can be a welcoming place for anyone. The two baristas were both cheerful and patient with my not-good German. The menu is very vegan friendly - there are vegan options for sandwiches and baked goods, and there’s oat milk for drinks. I got a Blumenkohl panini, a Mandelkuchen, and a Chai Latte. I was a fan of the panini, the smashed cauliflower in was actually very flavourful with curry-esque spices. No complaints on the latte. The Mandelkuchen fell short of my expectations, I thought it was on the dry side, although the strong almond flavour was nice. If I had been able to see a cross section of this before I ordered, I would’ve gotten something else - the cake hadn’t been cut into yet when I ordered. The other cake slices looked better. Everything is priced reasonably - my total was about €14. It’s the kind of place I’d probably go to all the time if I lived here.
Dana S — Google review
Small, cozy coffee shop with several vegan food options like cake and sandwiches. Staff isn’t particularly friendly, but the atmosphere is nice. In addition to coffee, they also serve beer.
Hannah C — Google review
Very English friendly, pretty clean restrooms, and the coffee was really good! They were open when lots of other shops weren't on boxing day, so maybe a good stop when you're out and about in Mainz.
Nik B — Google review
Have to try their carrot cake! Can’t miss this one! Moistness and sweetness just at the right spot! Pair it with the Apfelschorle for refreshment and trust me, it’s filling enough to be a meal. My partner had the other cake (right). Not sure what that was and if it was good. But he seemed to like my carrot cake more because he ordered another piece of carrot cake after his one was done.

Nestled in the charming Gaustrasse, Dicke Lilli, gutes Kind is a delightful vintage-chic café that has been captivating locals and visitors alike since 2012. Owned by Vera and her team, this cozy spot offers a mouthwatering selection of breakfast options, light lunches, and an impressive array of cakes—perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, reminiscent of gathering in your own living room.
We had brunch and I ordered the Avo Great Day. It was delicious. The cappuccino was perfect, very well made 👌🏼
Juliana C — Google review
I considered this experience a waste of my time and money unfortunately, although I heard a lot about this place. I had the vincent vegan breakfast. The scrambled tofu had dry taste of just curry, and nothing else. The Hummos was just mashed chickpeas with tahini, no lemon, no garlic, no olive oil and not even salt. The avocado was unfortunately also so dull and boring. My plate with or without it wouldn’t change a bit. The salad part of the dish was minimal too, had a good dressing tho. Service was kind :3 no complaints about that. And the tram that was passing by is just a mood killer. I know the place couldn’t do much about it but if you want to go there for outdoors time, keep that in mind. Maybe the cake would’ve been delicious (they looked dope) but I was so disappointed by then to try anything else.

Jedzenie nie smakowa. I would give 3,5 but can’t, and I would give it only cause of staff. There were adorable and helpful. Food was really basic, nothing new and kinda too expensive for that plate.

Cappuccino and chocolate-strawberry cake taste very well. In addition staffs are lovely and funny ☕️ 🍰. I definitely remember the funny words of funny waiter “ Kuchen in der Küche“ 🤣🤣🤣

This is a very cute cafe in Mainz close to the city center. It’s always very lively inside and they offer daily specials in addition to what’s on the menu. They have a range of vegetarian and vegan options for breakfast and lunch and dinner as well as vegan dessert. The best part is they don’t charge extra for vegan milk alternatives. They clearly state that almost everything is made by the restaurant itself and ingredients like eggs or milk come from local farms in the region. The bread comes from bàckerei vetter in Mainz altstadt. The coffee beans are also from the Mainz kaffeerösterei amori coffee.

Very nice place to take a good breakfast/brunch. I had scrumbbled eggs and a yogurt, my friend had the jam and cheese plate and both were very delicious. Only "but" was that at the end the staff was so busy that did not appear again so we had to go to the bar to ask for another drink. But in general I liked the place, the staff was very friendly and the food was good. For sure I will come back.

Located on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring near the train station, Das Nest Café/Bar is a versatile spot that transforms from a contemporary coffeehouse during the day to a lively cocktail bar at night. The café offers various breakfast platters, French toast, and a changing selection of cakes in its vibrant and jungle-themed interior. Guests can choose to sit on the street-side benches for some hustle and bustle or enjoy the shaded courtyard during summer.
Great place for brunch of breakfast and they have a lot of vegan options. The cafe is decorated very beautifully and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. We had the vegan French toast and the Stulle with fresh pressed orange juice, a cappuccino and matcha latte, which was not sweet.
NJ — Google review
This restaurant is close my hotel, and the online menu is very enticing. The food is fresh and delicious, and it’s presented very well. I am very conflicted about the service because, upon entering the restaurant, I saw no host or waiting area. I wandered to the bar and was shown the nearest table, but smokers directly outside made this a poor choice. After waiting a while, someone directed their attention to me. I placed my order and located another table, but no one cleaned it (or even offered to) until I directly asked. The order took quite a while to arrive, but I was able to enjoy my meal without disruption. My table was cleared after finishing, but 10 or so servers passed by without offering the check. It was only after I stopped a server that my check was processed immediately. I felt very ignored, but maybe this is the German way? I would eat here again, knowing what to expect (being proactive and direct), because the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing and calm.
DMCONVERT — Google review
The place had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, but it seemed like they were understaffed, as it took a bit of time for the service. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth noting for others. By 11:00, the oatmeal was already sold out, which was a bit surprising. We ordered a dinner plate for two, but it felt more like a portion for one. The plate included one slice of cucumber, two small tomatoes, a few leaves, and two slices of salami… etc I have ordered a ginger tea - which was hot water and 2 slices of ginger inside of it… no lemon or honey… well It was a bit underwhelming in terms of quantity. Perhaps we were just unlucky this time, but I would have to think twice about visiting again. P.S : place is pet friendly
Pavelas Z — Google review
Nice and cozy place that surprised with the superb quality of the food! I made a reservation only two days prior our Sunday brunch very easily over the phone and picked a 10 AM to 12 PM time slot (yes, you have to pick a time slot to visit). When we arrived shortly after 10 AM the place was already jam packed so naturally it took some time to get our orders in. Unfortunately we waited nearly 50 minutes for our brunch to arrive and had only 30 minutes to eat and leave. This time constraint was not considered by the staff and right after the 12 PM, check was brought to us and we were asked, not exactly in a nice way, to leave the establishment. Apparently it took us long time to order. Nevertheless, the staff was generally nice and shared recipe of some of the the home made food when asked. Drinks and hot beverages were okay, not so special. I had Chai latte and Aperol Spritz, both of them were missing something, the taste was just not there and needed to be refined a bit. On the other hand, the food here was exquisite and probably one of the best brunches I have had in Germany! All super tasty and you cannot go wrong with any of choices of the menu. I have to especially point out the carrot salmon which was off the hook and the home made pepper dip that worked perfectly with the cheese/sausage selection. Scrambled eggs with bacon were so soft and fluffy. Absolute delight! Nest Cafe has a hipster vibe and attracts mixed crowds. They offer a lot of indoor seating, a small patio in the yard and a couple of tables at the curb (that can be quite noisy due to car and tram traffic nearby). Paying with card was not an issue. Visited in April 2022.
Pavel D — Google review
I came twice to this place. The first time was about 5 months ago. The experience was overall good. I came back today expecting the same positive experience without any luck. The staff brought the wrong coffee then my breakfast order was forgotten so we had to order it again after waiting for 30 minutes. Nevertheless the food is good (not amazing but fine, that is why I rate the food with four stars) but the service got worse in comparison to the first time I came. I also noticed there were some issues with other customer’s orders. That’s a pity because the place is quite nice and the food as well. The pictures are from the first time I came to this place.
Deni W — Google review
Unhelpful, slow service with mediocre food. Both my friend and I found the tempeh on my open sandwich way too salty and when I complained at the counter they said they’ll come to our table to sort out the issue. It took the server half an hour to come to us by which time I had already eaten the sandwich without the tempeh and was no longer interested in ordering something else. Moreover, the guy also went on to mansplain how the tempeh needs to be prepared a certain way to taste good which was quite annoying! I’ve tasted and prepared tempeh enough number of times to know what it’s not supposed to taste like.
Sneha K — Google review
They have a large selection of vegan dishes which were very tasty and fresh. Their coffee was good as well. Unfortunately, they don’t have a single glutenfree & vegan dish on their menu and also weren’t willing to help when we asked. Our server may have been new, but she was quite incompetent and not very friendly. We’d love to return because of the beautiful interior and many vegan options but since they don’t offer anything glutenfree, we won’t be able to come back.
Hannah C — Google review
If you have basic cooking skills like knowing how to fry an egg or making your own hummus, you could definity open up a place like this. Brunch served here is pretty basic, nothing you can’t make for yourself at home. It doesn’t taste bad, but also nothing to shout about. We expected more from a place with an average of 4.7 rating on google.

WOODS, located on Rheinstrasse, is a popular spot known for its sustainable and high-quality cuisine. The cafe offers a pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff and a good selection of coffee and home-baked cakes. Customers appreciate the delicious food, including waffles and breakfast options, as well as the relaxing ambiance. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity. Overall, WOODS provides a great place to enjoy quality food and drinks in a welcoming environment.
The cakes, delicious. The latte, delicious. But what struck me most was the warmth of the place and the owner. The decor is very neat and warm, and the owner is so smiley that you immediately feel welcome and at ease in this coffee shop. What's more, the coffee shop is a little away from the centre, so I get the impression that it's quieter and more intimate, which is really nice :)) It deserves to be even better known !
Manolie S — Google review
Super cute place with ok/pretty good food. But beware that your reservation, unbeknownst to you, is time limited. They will kick you out if a reservation follows you, even if there is plenty of other space open for the other party. We got kicked out after 2 hours even though we had only shortly finished our food and were just finishing up our drinks. Being informed ahead of time we would get asked to leave so quickly would have been nice. Our group had to find another place last minute to finish up our conversation. Also, it's a bit pricey for the quality of food. Probably wouldn't have mattered on price had we not been kicked out so quickly. Oh and, I had to provide my credit card number just to reserve the table!! I wouldn't go back or recommend this place to anyone.
Elizabeth W — Google review
The entire reason I chose this restaurant was to order some waffles. I arrived right when they opened at 10.00 and yet somehow they were already completely full. They offered me the couch and when I tried to order the waffles, the server told me they don’t serve waffles until 12.00 “because the waffle iron needs time to warm up”. How a breakfast restaurant can’t serve waffles until noon is beyond me and the reasoning offered is absolutely ridiculous. Instead I ordered toasts which were objectively disappointing.

The food and service were amazing! Even though it was pretty busy, it didn't take long for the orders to arrive. I can definitely recommend the matcha & chai latte as well as the carrot & raspberry cake. Card payment is possible.

We had a nice desert, the carrot cake was exquisite. The Sachertorte still needs improvement, but this was acknowledged by the personnel. A price reduction would have been more welcomed in this case than the possibility to change, as no comparable options existed.

Nice place for a cup of coffee, tea or glass of wine or beer. However, service could be better and cakes as well. Good place to spend some time.

Cafe
Coffee shop
Hygge, located in Mainz's Neustadt, is a cozy and charming café that offers high-quality coffee, delicious cakes, and a weekly changing lunch menu prepared by the skilled chef Marie. The café exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere similar to the cute bistros and coffee shops found in Copenhagen. It caters to both vegetarians and meat eaters with innovative dishes at student-friendly prices.
Sooo good. I was there for brunch with a friend and it was delicious. My meal was so good and the chai was tasty. And it’s so cozy. The prices are good and they gave me extra bread and condiments for free, which is unusually wonderful. I was actually full! There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. My only minus is that there’s no plugs so if you want to study here, you can’t charge your devices. But for reading or writing or anything else, it’s lovely. And dogs are welcome. All the dishes and cakes looked incredible. I would definitely come again!

Cute and cozy little cafe very near to the Mainz main station. The cake we tried was yummy, and perfect for our taste buds. The coffee and hot chocolate, both hit the correct notes for us. The lady who served us was patient, and let us know all the options to choose from. All in all, we had a wonderful time, and would love to go in again for breakfast.

I was at Hygge for lunch and must say that I was very satisfied with the cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The Couscous dish that I had was delicious and the staff was very friendly and nice. The breakfast at Hygge is also very recommendable. The restaurant is super close to Mainz Main Station, which is convenient. Additionally, you can pay by card if you spend over 10€.

Anything but coffee is a relatively new cafe located in Boppstrasse, Mainz. The interior is predominantly blue, with blue wallpapers, glasses, cutlery, and even blue tea! Despite its name, the cafe offers a variety of coffee options along with hearty and sweet snacks that prioritize quality and healthy ingredients. From avocado bagels to smoothie bowls and freshly prepared lunch dishes, there's something for everyone.
Pretty and lovely place with a very sweet server. My serving girl was really friendly and sweet 💕 I love servers like that. Also the coffee and food are good 😊

It took a long time to order and the food was served. The food that came out was very dry and flaky, like they used cheap croissants from Aldi. It was very hard to eat and not tasty. It was a shame because it had such high reviews. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice.
Mio — Google review
I enjoy the breakfasts and coffee here, but the service has disappointed me several times. We weren’t allowed to sit at a table for six because it was reserved in an hour for coffee! We explained that we’d only need it for 30 minutes, but still, no luck. The other tables were smaller and unsuitable for our group. I’ve faced this situation twice, unfortunately😕

This is hands down my favorite cafe in Mainz! It’s super cozy, the owner is incredibly friendly and their selection of food and coffee is wonderful. They are the best place in Mainz to eat vegan AND gluten-free dishes, especially for breakfast. The owner is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vegan and gluten-free options (if you eat vegan/gluten-free, you know how important this is 🙏🏻) and there is such a wide selections of things. It’s always incredibly fresh and delicious. I love the smoothie bowls, oat meal, and bagels! The coffee is really good as well. Super cozy atmosphere with fresh flowers and comfy chairs. I’d give 6 stars if I could! ⭐️

So far the best coffee shop in Mainz, the food is delicious and they have veggie options, the drinks are in a top level, is not located in the main square of the city so you don't need to worry about the crowd, perfect to have a talk with a friend or just to sit to read your favorite book.

I recommend this place for breakfast the attention was very good. The atmosphere is very chill and the quality of the food was excellent.

Delicious coffee and an excellently prepared homemade bagel with a well-dressed salad. The highlight though was the service. I was in desperate need of a place to take a video meeting and though this place wasn't ideal because of schedule and size, they kindly recommended a location that was perfect. Extremely kind, and reason enough for me to return as soon as possible when a meeting isn't my primary concern.

Known for its delicious breakfast options, including the breakfast for two and single breakfast menus that come with beverages, this café is a must-visit.
Usually I used to come here for ice cream. They just have delicious ice cream at this place. But recently, I tried a pizza for the first time. Also amazing. But careful; quite heavy. We've been fighting heavily to finish 2 pizzas with 2 people. 😊

The food is good, no doubt! However, the waitress is very rude, I can’t believe what just happened to me! While we were still enjoying our crepes, one waitress walked by our table and put a reservation note on it, then she said, more like a statement rather than a request, the table will be occupied in an hour…with me and my friend, no difference with any other customer, still using the table! So sad! Won’t recommend it to my friends…

We had the breakfast for 2, which is around 20€ in total. Single breakfast menus include a beverage and are ~10€. Location is nice, and they are locally known for their cakes, so you should defenitely try one for dessert.

George is a charming cafe located in Mainzer Neustadt, offering a rustic ambiance and outdoor seating. The menu features breakfast platters, salads, sweet bowls, and sandwiches. They serve delicious coffee with a special aroma and offer vegan milk options as well as vegan cakes and desserts. The staff is known for being friendly, making it an inviting place to enjoy a cappuccino or meet someone for a meal. While the food is generally good, some caution against wasps during summer months.
It's great! The food? Yummy! The staff? Friendly and sharp! The Cafe? Clean and just lovely to be in! Overall it's a 5/5 in every aspect! I'll definitely come again with company!

Wonderful new cafe with outdoor seating and everything „to go.“ I was so happy to see that they have vegan milk and even delicious vegan cake/desserts. Stopped by for an Americano and found the service and setting excellent. The coffee was well balanced and served at what I consider the correct temperature, hot but not so much that you wait a long time before you can enjoy it.

The food is good. The platters to share are a lot of food, you won't leave hungry, but drinks (coffee, tea) are small for their price. Service was nice, but waiters should be more attentive. Overall all a very nice place, I highly recommend getting breakfast here. Beware of the wasps during summer!

On a cycling tour along the beautiful Rhine, the only thing that is woeful is the lack of good coffee! Thankfully in Mainz, there was Müller! Delicious, sensible prices, friendly service.

The coffee is excellent, much better than others. The taste with milk is balanced for cappuccino. The staff is friendly. Amount paid is acceptable €2.90

Friendly people, no wait (granted I came at 5pm, not the busy time for coffee shops). Atmosphere very nice, spacey, nice music with the right volume. They probably prioritize selling beans over coffees, cause this is the first cafe that have many small bottles of coffee beans available for inspection (sniffing). The current bean for filter is... ok. Price (for coffees) is also highest I've ever seen (4.9€ for a flatwhite, then another 0.5€ for decaffeinated???) Also no outside seating. But as a roastery, I must say that their selection is one of the biggest I've ever seen. Top!

MALDANER Specialty Cafe Bar Mainz is a charming coffee shop nestled in the historic Altstadt old town of Mainz, with another branch located in nearby Wiesbaden. It's a haven for coffee enthusiasts seeking top-quality beans and expertly brewed beverages. The baristas are skilled at brewing various coffee types to perfection, ensuring that each cup is a delight for the taste buds. The cafe offers a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation or quiet reading sessions.
If you are a coffee lover or if you are looking for a nice place to drink a delicious and tasty coffee in Mainz, Maldaner is the perfect place ! The beans chosen are of very high quality, which is reflected in the aroma and taste of the coffee we were served. What's more, the place is warm and inviting: we felt as if we have stepped straight into a friend's kitchen or living room ☕ We loved discovering this place !

Fantastic spot. Maldaner reminds me of Single Estate Roasters in The Hague—great coffee, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a top location in the heart of Mainz. There’s even a record shop next door blasting 80s music, which adds a fun and quirky vibe to the whole experience. A must-visit for any coffee lover.

Coffee was really good especially when you compare it with other cofe shops here. Only minus is that there’s no toilet. You can also buy here some beans, cups and so☕️ Payment is possible just by card!💳
Aneta V — Google review
If you love great coffee then this is the place for you! If you're looking for a coffee shop where you can taste good beans that people really know about, then you're in the right place. I have been looking for a similar place near Wiesbaden for a long time, and yesterday I accidentally came here, took an excellent filter on Florian beans. What can I say, the barista really knows how to brew coffee in a funnel, in terms of methodology, everything was done perfectly! Separately, I note that the coffee was correctly served in a flask with a cup, which were warmed up in advance. Incredibly, many people do forget to do this. I would really add another glass of clean water, so the filter can be better tasted. The beans quality are also excellent, moderate acidity, sweetness, excellent caramel aftertaste and a pleasant body. The beans are well roasted, there is no taste of bitterness or foreign smells. I also really liked the modern, cozy interior, excellent location. But I want to note the lack of a toilet, this is some discomfort, it also seemed that one barista is not enough, one person does not have time to take orders and prepare coffee quickly, it is better to provide a partner. Otherwise, everything is fine, I think that now I am your client, since it turned out that it is very difficult to find good grain in these places.

For one limo 6,9 euro and it was bad, the cakes were not fresh(maybe because it was sonnday) and the waiter was firstly nett but when we commented kindly that the cake was not fresh, she replayed that you ate them all that mean it was sure delicious. Maybr the waiter had a bad day or something i dont know. But 6.9 euro for this poor quality is too much.

The best cake in the world is in Germany. And at least out of the places I’ve been in Germany, Dom-Café has the best cake in Germany. We’ve been here three times and each time we come to Mainz we always plan to come here. The seasonal cake selection is excellent and each time the cake we have tried has been really wonderful. The coffee is good and the staff are friendly and responsive. This place is always busy!

One of the few traditional coffee and cake spots in Mainz. Amazing location with a lot of outdoor seating (indoor too) with a view of the market square. A large variety of fresh, traditional cakes. If you get any fruit cakes that don't come with cream, ask for it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is I do not like the coffee there.
James R — Google review
We stopped by spontaneously and found great seats in front of the market Platz. Sadly the breakfast is only offered until 10 o’clock. This cafe is super popular with nice food and cake. The waitress were busy but still very friendly and considerate. We took the “cake of month”., which can be truly recommended.
Chou S — Google review
This could be the best café in Mainz, catering to both locals and tourists. Over 100 years of tradition, great location with a terrace overlooking the main square. Unfortunately, it closes at 6 pm. Every day. Except for Sunday, of course, because on Sundays, it's closed altogether. Sunny weather, warm evening? Crowds of people looking for a charming place to sit? The Sunday tradition of café breakfast or afternoon coffee&cake? "We don't care, go elsewhere." And the historic interior? Some ten years ago, they threw away the mid century furniture and overfilled the rooms with something new, boring, seemingly more stylish. They basically destroyed a valuable document of postwar Mainz.
Ct S — Google review
They refused to serve us due to "many people being also in the restaurant". However, they were quite nice to take the order of the german couple next to us that came after along with a few more tables that came after too. We are tourists and the lady was quite mean and not professional. If u have too many clients then as well hire more personal and her mistreatment was shown from the moment we request a table. The behaviour and treatment I would consider it quite racist (we are from argentina and clearly not german)
Keimy M — Google review
I can’t believe there are no reviews of this amazing cafe/cakeshop on Google. No one cakes is too many here. Ambience here is fantastic, indoor and out door seatings for whichever kinds of dining u prefer. I seemed to be the only Asian in the whole cafe, but they do not discriminate. Service staffs are friendly and understand English. The Extreme wide selection of cakes is what you have to try here! Black Forest cake = super fresh berries and cream, base of the cake is a biscuity crunchy sweet base that compliments the slight sourness of the berries. Dom special cake = recommended by the waitress, a special recipe cake by the cafe. Pistachio mousse, rum and biscuit base makes it amazing to go with tea or coffee. Beverages here are just normal, but the cakes are just amazing. So far the best cakes I’ve tried in the whole of Germany.

Maria B — Google review
Mediocre Café with disadvantages regarding staff and service. There's no feeling of being well served, yet young and "Berlinish"-big-city-small-location-vibes and a good enough breakfast-card do the heavy lifting here. You usually need to actively ask for service by visiting the inner frontdesk, resulting in being sent back to the table to keep waiting there for someone to check on you. On our last visit 6 employees were working in the kitchen area while no one was checking on the guest for several minutes. Plan in to at least stay for 45 minutes due to these delays. Coffee and drinks are well prepared yet seem to miss the final touch. Matcha is just the kinda sugarheavy powder version and coffee often isn't hot enough while arriving at your table. How to improve: Keep staff actively checking on guest needs available at all time and maybe set straight roles on where people work. Preheat coffee mugs to keep drinks hot. Put glutenfree cakes completely separated from non-glutenfree ones as allergies can be very sensitive.

been there once. it is a bit pricey considering most German cafes are much more economical and nice. the coffee is not particularly good there either. I would say it doesn't worth that money. plus, because of the limited seating, it's hard to find a seat in weekend.

Great coffee specialties. Small selection of repetitive cakes and sandwiches available. Not always fresh cake, also dry sandwiches. Noobs' cappuccino not great. Outdoor seating is smokers paradise, worse than main station plaza. Now smokers even block access to the outdoor lids table. Why is the cheesecake so dry most every time? The triangle bread is pretty good. Free wifi 30 min tickets often does not work, prolly the router. No card payment, go figure.

Excellent coffee and snacks! Very nice location in the middle of the city. Great coffee and little cakes + free wireless internet :) The service is very friendly and explains the difference between different coffee types. Price is ok, similar to other good coffee stores in the town.
Johannes M — Google review
Pros first: friendly baristas, nice atmosphere, music not too loud, quick serving --- Cons: coffee basically didn't taste good. The barista brewed the beans way too hot (I had to wait a couple of minutes for it to cool down) resulting in a very bitter cappuccino. This bitterness was not a result of their dark roasts, but bec of the brewing process.

Café Raab in Finthen and Gonsenheim is highly recommended for its convenient seven-day opening schedule, making it a standout option for dining or enjoying coffee with friends and family. Despite the limited options in the area, this café shines as a welcoming establishment where reservations are rarely necessary. The cakes, although slightly pricey, are exceptional, and the menu offers delicious dishes as well.
We occasionally dine in but mostly get take out from several choices of elegant cakes for our afternoon coffee/tea time. Relaxed setting.

Five stars for them being open 7 days a week. With so few places to eat or have coffee with friends/family in Finthen and Gonsenheim this is definitely a star. One can get a table without reservation almost all the time, except maybe busy hours during summer. Exquisite cakes (a bit overpriced, but again, you can not afford to be picky in Gonsenheim :-) ) and all the dishes are tasty, too. Kids and dogs friendly. (Sounds good, I know, but in reality my toddler wanted to make aquaintance with all the dogs around her in the cafe - and who cares about food 😂)

Don't forget to check out their unique "Specials" tailored for specific groups like Porsche drivers or tattoo owners. This establishment stands as one of the top cafés in Mainz, serving delectable dishes including quiches, homemade soups, salads, and cakes.
One of the best cafes in Mainz, hands down. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, have a variety of delicious dishes such as quiches, homemade soups, salads and cakes as well as good drinks. Plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans. The carrot cake is the best I've ever had. Prices are fair and the atmosphere is very nice and cozy.

It's a nice cafe in Mainz Neustadt. Really cozy, with the small garden outside, with the great coffee and the nice team. Perfect for the breakfasts, but at the evenings they have the live band sometimes. Don't forget to check the "Specials" before your visit. They have a crazy "Specials" (like for the "Porsche driver" or "Tatoo owner").

Nice place but I ordered an Apfelschorle and watched as he filled the glass with 80% water. I didn't pay 3,30€ to get a glass of water. Very cheap of them to save money. They won't get any more of mine.

This cozy eatery invites you to indulge in authentic Asian flavors amidst a welcoming atmosphere. With an extensive menu catering to various dietary preferences—be it vegetarian, vegan, or simply health-conscious—there's something for everyone at Happy Sumo.
Visited this place for the first time and loved it! There weren't many customers when I arrived without a reservation, but they had just opened for the evening. Although it seemed like the customers were going to file in as the evening went on. They had a good range of food at an affordable rate for city dining. The food was fresh and well portioned. Not to mention their friendly customer service. Would definitely recommend and return to this place!

Quiet place. Many seatings indoors and outdoors. The food was served fast. Friendly staff. Food was generally of good quality. I especially liked their sushi rice thay was well seasoned for one's sake! Good value for money.
Anna J — Google review
The worst experience that I've had in a restaurant. We had to wait more than one hour for the sushi. When the sushi came there was a dish missing and they said that they would bring it soon. The sushi was average, not better than what you can get in the supermarket. After few minutes they asked us if we wanted dessert... Without bringing the missing dish that we ordered. This would not be a problem if they did not insist twice that we were wrong and everything already came, saying things like "the cook definitely made it, maybe you did not notice and you ate it"... Unbelievable. In the end they brought us the missing dish but the dinner was already ruined due to the service and waiting time. But there was a last surprise when we order the bill...they tried to charge us for dishes that we did not order and they did not serve us. Obviously the machine to pay with EC karte was broken that day. As I said, it's the first time that I have had such a bad experience in a restaurant. Hopefully it will be the last one, but for sure it will not be again in this place.
Héctor S — Google review
The ramen noodles were a bit too chewy, not really authentic. The broth was good, but you cannot choose which broth to get, there's only one. The sushi also left a bit to be desired.
Max M — Google review
Nice cozy place in Mainz. Menu is inspiring and Taste really good 😊 if into Ramen, then give it a try here
Emil H — Google review
I'm wondering why such few people talk about their ramen. I've been searching for a good place to have ramen for a while and I've been disappointed several times at various places but finally I found it here in Mainz. The noodles are proper ramen noodles unlike some other restaurants in Mainz that claim to sell ramen. The broth is perfect and all ingredients are on point. I would love to see the option to have a poached egg instead of a hard boiled one, but that's just icing on the cake. Will definitely come back for more You should also try the baked banana with ice cream which is a very delicious dessert!

This is a very nice restaurant. The staff is amazing. Have not had a bad meal here yet. They take pride in their meals. Absolutely loved watching them make the sushi. Such attention to detail. Recommend making reservations due to the limit capacity. I went with my kids last Saturday evening and sat at the bar, but the staff said we could move as sin as a table became available.

We went to have coffee during the rain to have a good time, unfortunately the owner was making the place unbreathable, she was unpleasant and apparently she doesn't know what "hospitality" means I guess for a coffee it's the minimum. Also not accepting card in 2025 is a very good joke. Don't come there, there are better places trust me.

I went to get a coffee to go. I was ignored for a few minutes and then finally acknowledged me. I should have just left but I got a cappuccino to go with soy milk for 4.90 (look at the size) and asked to use the restroom as a paying customer and she said quote : no public restroom for people taking drinks to go on Saturday. I had a freshly homemade delicious brunch ("Frühstück Blum"), and even the croissant was good quality which is rare. And a very interestingly spiced marmelade as well, a fresh homemade lemon drink, and very nice service. Big recommend! 🙂

The cakes are really good however the owner (older lady behind the counter) is very unfriendly and seems annoyed by any question that is directed to her by paying customer. Why be in a customer facing business if you don’t like talking to customers? Looking at other reviews this doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident. Get your cake to go if you plan to visit this establishment and enjoy it in outside if the weather is nice or at home.

Delicious cake but most likely the worst service ever. I came to order a carrot cake for my husband. I had two wishes: 1. to have a bit less cream on it - not possible. Okay. 2. To have the small size of the cake - not possible. In a few moments possible but I was treated like a trouble maker. Next day I picked it up. Different personell but again soooo unfriendly treating me like I was bothering them.

I've been going to this pharmacy for years, and I've always been impressed with the exceptional service and care I receive. The pharmacists are knowledgeable, friendly, and take the time to answer all my questions. They truly go above and beyond to ensure I understand my medications and any potential interactions. The store is always clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what I need. The staff is courteous and helpful, often offering helpful advice and recommendations. What really sets them apart, however, is their commitment to their patients. They genuinely care about our health and well-being, and it shows in everything they do. The atmosphere and service were good however i was not happy with the food. The quality of the ingredients was good but the taste was not acceptable. My Eggs Royal had too much Hollondaise sauce, I couldn’t taste anything else than the sauce. I told it to the waiter but they couldn’t do anything about it. It was the first time of my life to have more than half of the portion being sauce. My matcha latte was acceptable but they didn’t used a better grade. All in all i don’t recommend going here, good service can’t compensate bad food.

We went for breakfast on Saturday, they didn't have the options I had chosen anymore and informed us only after making the choice... It wasn't that good. Before our visit to Mainz Cathedral, when we visited a female staff member, she was skinny. She didn't seem to be that busy, but she didn't guide us even though we made eye contact. We waited and received guidance, but the seats were in the corner where we couldn't afford to sit. We also ordered a vanilla shake and it turned out to be too watery. The companion I went with was surprised to taste the drinks. Originally, I was going to order food whenever possible, but the staff's attitude was very lukewarm and I didn't want to eat it. Also, the staff member didn't come to us when we paid, so we asked another staff member to help us with the payment

Don’t come here for quality of drinks or good service. My drink was so sour that I asked if it had alcohol in it. We had also ordered a mocktail at the table, so the mistake would have been understandable. The server gave me an abrupt “no” and asked no follow-up questions about the quality of my drink. After trying for 20 min. to “let it grown on me”, I told him it was just too sour and I didn’t want it anymore. I decided not to ask for anything else, since the service was salty and my party was almost finished with their drinks. When the bill was presented he charged for all the drinks, including the one I sent back. When I asked him about whether this was the policy, he said, “what is to say - you didn’t like the drink, so next time you won’t order it.” Save your time and money for one of the many other cute outside establishments in this area. The atmosphere in the market square is nice but we didn’t step inside this restaurant, so I can’t speak to that.

I've only been there once so far, but everything was delicious. For me in Mainz, there's no better place to meet up and chat with friends !

Vegan friendly cafe with a very cute interiors & friendly staff. Yummiest cinnamon buns I’ve had. Not too sweet, soft & fluffy. Reservations can be made online for tables & is generally advised to do so in advance as they usually get fully booked during the weekends.

Nestled in the heart of Mainz, Starbucks is a beloved coffeehouse chain that hails from Seattle. Known for its unique coffee roasts and delightful light bites, this cozy café offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time. Patrons can indulge in an array of specialty coffees and delectable pastries, along with a satisfying breakfast menu. While the space may be on the smaller side, it’s filled with charm and features complimentary cups alongside various merchandise available for purchase.
A very nice and cozy place to meet friends. I am very satisfied with the specialty coffees and good staff here. I drink a coffee there almost every day because the prices are very good and reasonable.

The location was great, staff very nice and drinks was amazing we will definitely recommend. Space was a bit small they offered free cups and you could buy a lot of gadgets from the shop. The waiting time was moderate and the staff were quite fast attending to customers A bit expensive but it worth the money

10 years ago it was not so good and overpriced, but accidentally I was there 1 week ago with my family just for the coffee and it was terrible. They absolutely don't know how to make a good coffee. My coffee late was not a coffee with milk, but milk with some coffee, and it was about 6,5 euros which is absolutely overpriced, like prices at the airport. I don't mind to pay for a good coffee but this one was terrible. Never come back here again and not recommended to anyone...6 euros for cup of milk...

I had a disappointing experience at this Starbucks location on July 5th around 6 PM. I ordered an iced latte, but was informed they were out of ice and that the drink would be made with cold milk from the fridge. I agreed, expecting at least a chilled drink. However, when I received my order, it was room temperature—not cold at all. I politely asked if it could be changed, and the response I received was unnecessarily rude. The staff member insisted that I was told it would be fridge temperature, but what I got was clearly not cold. Instead of simply resolving the issue, she argued with me and gave me attitude. Eventually, she did remake the drink, but the experience left a bad impression. It wasn’t about the drink itself, but the way the situation was handled. At most other Starbucks locations, they would have apologized and kindly changed it without making it uncomfortable—unfortunately, that was not the case here. Because of her behavior, I couldn’t even enjoy my coffee or my time there. A little kindness and professionalism would have made all the difference.
Parandis S — Google review
Bad coffee, super expensive (12e for a Frappuccino and an Espresso), the tables were not clean, no wifi and no bathroom (or you have to pay additionally for the public bathrooms of the trainstation). I’m glad competitors are going over Starbucks because it’s time for them to shut down .

Stopped by Starbucks on a Saturday morning hoping to get some work done with a good coffee and Wi-Fi. Bought a pricey coffee expecting the usual — only to find out there’s no internet at all. Had to use my mobile data, which was a hassle. To top it off, there’s no restroom available either. The staff was friendly, but honestly, for the price and the expectations, this was pretty disappointing.
Theresa M — Google review
There is no wifi, which defeats the sole purpose of this chain -- no offense to the employees and social media managers, who certainly seek cheaper coffee options in their free time Edit: sorry, you can forward this to your customer service yourselves 🤡 the wifi has been out for more than 3 months.

Coffee Bay is a charming little cafe that offers a variety of fresh food options and, of course, delectable coffee. With an array of vegan choices available, they can also customize beverages to suit individual preferences by reducing sweetness and more. Customers have the option to dine in or enjoy their meal at outdoor tables. The cafe even provides recup, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability. Coffee Bay boasts an attractive interior and praiseworthy customer service, complemented by their delightful selection of cookies.
I visit this cute little café almost every Saturday to have a lactose free vanilla macchiato and sometimes I order something to eat as well. I love going here because I always feel so comfortable and relaxed while reading my book or studying Korean while enjoying a coffee. The staff is also amazing and friendly. If you are looking for a nice and cozy spot with a friendly staff, this is the perfect café for you ☺️😍

Such a cozy and charming spot! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are truly some of the kindest I’ve encountered—fluent in both English and German, and always happy to help with a smile. They offer a lovely selection of muffins in all sizes, from small bites to larger, satisfying treats. The tea and coffee are also excellent, and there are even some light food options if you’re looking for a quick bite. What makes this place truly special is the view: you can sit outside, sip your tea or coffee, and watch the trams pass right by your chair. It creates such a peaceful, almost cinematic moment that adds to the whole experience. Delicious muffins, kind-hearted staff, and a beautiful city view—what more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

I was last time here with my sister where I tried vanilla latte and she normal latte. Both tasted fantastic. Then I went there again and often. I always find it really comforting and pretty. I ordered coconut latter warm. Didn't expect it to taste so good. I also ordered blueberry cheesecake which was tasty as well. Lovely place to study for students as well.

Highly recommended 💯 First of all, the prices are super affordable compared to other coffee shops, and the price–performance ratio is amazing. They had a wide selection of muffins. I chose the Himbeer-Joghurt one, and it was absolutely delicious. I also had a cappuccino, which was okay, nothing super special, but decent. They offer small/medium/large sizes and several milk options like soy, lactose-free, and oat milk. The staff was really friendly, and even though it was quite crowded, they were super fast and efficient. I’m definitely going back:)

Kaffeeladen Müller Kaffeerösterei is a superb coffee store with friendly baristas. Over the course of four years, their quality has consistently improved. This store is an excellent destination for purchasing coffee machines and beans, as they offer grinding services based on your preference, be it French press or drip. I highly recommend this spot for those seeking a quick caffeine fix.

Great coffee store with the friendliest baristas. I’ve been going here for about four years and their quality has only increased. During market days they can be found with the other stalls. Taiara C — Google review
Very popular bar apparently, at first no seats available. Service was slow and we had to beg the waiter if we could pay our bill. Meanwhile he assigned himself a small bonus thanks to a sneaky miscommunication. Ambiance was neutral, not disturbing but not uplifting either.
Wout B — Google review
One of the best bars in Mainz for sure. Tasty food, great drinks, friendly and hard working staff. If you expect a flawless experience you should try to change your mindset.
Sebastian B — Google review
The location itself is ok. If you're looking to get a quick drink or just pre-loading for the weekend it will do its job. Prices are a bit above average but everything got more expensive. It's still doable. There's two other clubs right next to it, so depending on when you'll go, you'll hear the music banging out loud, which could make sitting outside challeng. As the location is right next to the main road, it might be difficult to find proper parking space. The bar tender is friendly but the waitress wasn't that calm. We got served quickly as there weren't many people in the location. The toilet in this place however, makes for a trippy experience. After you locked the door you'll feel as if you're in a panic room and the decorations on the wall are supposed to give you jungle vibes but I couldn't help but feeling like someone was staring at you. The bird noises and the high ceiling didn't really help either. Other then that, the bar is clean although the disco music didn't really suit the emptiness. The concept of sitting comfortably doesn't really apply to this place.

(Translated by Google) I was here for lunch. At first I was simply pushed away from a table because a group came. I was neither asked nor asked to leave the table; it just told me to sit somewhere else. The small table in the corner that I then sat down at was not wiped down, even though it was very dirty. The dish consisted of meat, three mini potatoes and very few vegetables. Apparently people save money on the side dishes in order to make a profit. A woman who complained in a quiet, polite tone that her table had not been wiped was physically attacked by a friend of the innkeeper and was expelled from the restaurant. Never again!

The menu offers a variety of options including breakfast, brunch, and their specialty Poke Bowls made with fresh market vegetables and other high-quality ingredients. The cafe also caters to vegans and vegetarians with a range of delicious and fulfilling options. Customers praise the quick service, friendly staff, and appealing decor.

This is my favorite Poke Bowl place. Food is fresh and so many great options! Be sure to try their fruit infused drinks-a refreshing pick-me-up! Service is good and they put up with my English-only self:).
Angela S — Google review
Went to eat at Palm Bowls twice and was disappointed both times. The food is mediocre, not very fresh, and not very good. I had a dinner bowl and a breakfast bowl, and both weren’t great. 👎🏽 I came here for breakfast and my friend and I were the only customers. Despite multiple people working in the kitchen and us being the only guests, it took 40 minutes for our two smoothie bowls to be served. I had ordered a latte which arrived cold. When I sent it back they made another one, which was also barely like warm. The staff seemed really annoyed and was generally unfriendly. The açaí bowl was a warm slush, didn’t taste or look fresh at all and didn’t even taste like açaí. Then, the blueberries were dried and pretty gross. It didn’t say they were dried on the menu so I was kind of surprised. If you’re looking to eat a smoothie bowls and get great coffee in Mainz, go to Anything But Coffee. It’s so much better, and the staff is friendlier. Save yourself the disappointment and don’t come to Palm Bowls. The only nice thing about this place is the interior.

This place has won me over pretty quickly. No 100 pages of menu, rather minimalist and tidy. You still find enough sweat and savory dishes to choose from. All the foods and drinks are reasonably priced and I loved that you are in the city centre but also in a quaint little street at the same time. Basically just a bit farther away from the buzzing streets, so you don't have to raise your voice to communicate with someone sitting right next to you ;) and if you're finished you can go and see your favourite stores right in the next street. I would definitely visit again.

(Translated by Google) In addition to the beautifully presented and creative food, I'd like to celebrate the coffee drinks here. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the shiny portafilter machine. The young lady working there knew how to use it, and the coffee tasted great, and the latte art was also visually appealing. Therefore, I assume the owner is well-trained and has been trained on professional coffee machines himself. Overall, this is an insider tip, and we agreed that we'll be enjoying this coffee regularly on our shopping trips to Mainz. We're also doing something good for our bodies, and I'm happy to add an extra €2 for that. RHEINTISCH Restaurant & Café is a delightful spot that keeps patrons coming back for more, with many visitors enjoying its offerings multiple times. The food consistently impresses, making it a favorite among locals and travelers alike. While the service can sometimes vary in speed and friendliness—especially during peak hours—the restaurant manager, Mr. Klein, is known for his warm demeanor and competence. Overall, RHEINTISCH provides a charming dining experience with great cuisine that’s worth exploring!

(Translated by Google) We've been there about 15-20 times and it's always delicious. You should definitely avoid peak times (12:20-1:00 p.m.). Service varies in terms of friendliness and speed, you get the impression that there are usually not enough waitresses on site. The restaurant manager Mr. Klein is very nice and seems competent. Changed on July 11, 2022: One star deducted With initially very reasonable prices (€1.50 for a side salad, soup, dessert and €5-10 for a main course), more and more dishes now cost upwards of €15. For me, the very good price-performance ratio is only satisfactory because the atmosphere and service are not sufficient in this price range. Change 2, 9/14/22: The prices are lower again and range between 6.50 and 10 euros.

(Translated by Google) Probably the worst restaurant visit of our lives. And all of this in a place that was actually supposed to represent Rhineland-Palatinate. You don't even know where to start: no greeting when you enter. No card. The breakfasts advertised outside don't even exist. Waited 50 minutes for a sandwich, scrambled eggs and a bento box (there was exactly ONE other table occupied). Half of the bento box was missing. The waitress clattered around sorting cutlery at an unspeakable volume during the entire visit. The only positives are the new building, the view outside - and that you can't be forced to come back. People! This is the state parliament of RLP - as a Mainzer you can only be ashamed of how you present yourself to visitors from outside. You have to decide whether you want this to be a canteen for the state parliament or a restaurant/café for everyone. But it's just a hugely embarrassing disaster. Keine Karte.

(Translated by Google) Went to the restaurant today with a larger group. There were three meals to choose from. I chose Porc Bourguignon. But what I got was a disaster... A handful of pasta with sauce and two! small pieces of meat. In addition, the food was decorated with Spundekäs, which didn't fit at all (apparently this was from another dish). And all of this for a proud price of a whopping €13.90. !!! Also a warm beer… Sorry, but that's not possible for a state restaurant. I don't have to have it again.

(Translated by Google) I love currywurst! That's why I came up with the idea of trying a currywurst in the state parliament canteen. The menu included currywurst with fries and salad. We got a currywurst (the sausage wasn't really cooked through) with fries (the fries were almost raw!). The salad was a handful of arugula spread over the sausage. The sauce was sweet with lots of onions. The sausage, like the fries, wasn't in the pan/hairdresser long enough. I can't really recommend the canteen, and the acoustics are quite tiring. Pros: The service was good! But it doesn't compensate for the quality (Original) Ich liebe Currywurst!

(Translated by Google) Bitterly disappointed!!! The waitress didn't come at first, even though there was nothing going on. Then she was at two neighboring tables and each time she ran away. When she came to us and I asked if she had a rag for the dirty table, she steamed away, visibly upset. When she came back we could finally order. There was nothing to eat. 4 euros for a cola is extortion!!! In the outdoor area, menu pieces are constantly flying through the air. I don't even want to know what the food tastes like anymore. I am deeply disappointed and cannot recommend the store.

(Translated by Google) This visit ruined my lunch break because: I waited 15 minutes for service. I had to specifically ask the waiter to remove the plate, etc., from the previous customer. When the food arrived, I had to chase after the waiter for cutlery. The drink never arrived (no explanation, no apology). I had to chase the waiter to pay. Food: Small portion (pasta with peas and a few cheese crumbs). Not good value for money. Not to mention the diminished enjoyment of the break. I don't think management needs to make an effort: There are always groups of visitors and hungry officials who need something quick during their lunch break.

(Translated by Google) We ate here with a larger single-digit group. In total there were perhaps a dozen other guests present, which was very dispersed in the large dining room. Two guests in our group waited so long for their drinks that the food had already arrived. When the waitress asked twice, she was unable to provide any information about the missing drinks. The food was served with a push cart and had the charm of a youth hostel around 2000. Three meals were missing from the cart and only arrived after another 10 minutes. €9.90 is the standard price for the dishes on the daily menu (there is no other menu or they didn't want to offer it to us). For €9.90 you received five small frozen falafels in "tomato sauce", which unfortunately turned out to be chopped and pureed tomatoes without any seasoning or other finishing touches. There was also a dollop of "cilantro yogurt" that contained so little coriander that it could have been described as natural yogurt, as well as three slices of baguette that fell apart in my hand because they were sliced too thin. The dish was uninspired, tasteless and out of all proportion to the price. The ambience is okay because it is a new building. But they refrained from playing quiet music or something similar in the background. Since the restaurant was sparsely busy, the spoons in the plates echoed off the silent walls. It felt like you were in a hospital cafeteria. The empty plates were cleared away without comment by the staff, regardless of whether anyone else was eating at the table or not. The staff may know that the food is embarrassing, which is why they don't even ask if the guests were satisfied. Payment takes place at the exit; the waitress does not come to the table. Conclusion: - Selection of dishes is small - Poor quality offered - Price unreasonable for quantity and quality - No gastronomically experienced service - Poor service - No reason to come here again When the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg comes, it's better to go with him to the local kebab shop if you're looking for taste, service and a good price-performance ratio. Unfortunately, RHEINTISCH is not a gastronomic flagship for the Rhineland-Palatinate capital.

(Translated by Google) The KUZ, like the entire neighborhood, has changed enormously in recent years. After a lot of trendy restaurants have settled in, the KUZ now wants a piece of this cake and that's probably how the wash house came into being. Everything was perfect during my visit. Two DJs, who were largely ignored, were playing. The service was friendly and quick. The atmosphere was cozy and it tasted good. The house specialty is a tarte flambée baked in pretzel dough. Very rich, a bit dry. I needed two large wine spritzers with it. But not bad. Something different. The salads in the preserving jars are also great. Even the toilets were clean. What happened to the KUZ!? Mal was anderes. Die Salate in den Einmachgläsern auch top. Sogar die Toiletten sauber. Was ist nur aus dem KUZ geworden!?

The location offers a wide range of drinks and a small selection of food. Seating is available both in the guest room and in the outdoor area/beer garden. Since the weather cooperated, we sat down in the beer garden. The service was very friendly and the drinks and food we ordered were delivered very quickly. The quality of the food was consistently good. We ordered a salad in a glass "Feld und Wiesen Gläschen" and a grilled sandwich with pesto and grilled vegetables "Pane del Sole", juice spritzers and coffee. So why only 4/5 stars? The price of the toast was significantly too high at €6.50. For the price, I expected a portion that was twice as large. Nestled in the charming city of Mainz, "The Good Coffee" is a delightful café that invites you to unwind in its cozy atmosphere while indulging in a diverse array of delicious food and beverages. From expertly crafted coffee specialties to mouthwatering cakes, as well as healthy organic dishes with vegan and vegetarian options, there's something for everyone here. The extensive breakfast menu sets the perfect tone for a leisurely morning. Once known for mediocre offerings, this café has transformed into a haven for quality coffee lovers.
This is one of the few places that can make very good flat white coffee. It's been a real challenge to find good coffee in Germany and these guys have succeeded. Plenty of seating was available inside and out, at 9:45am on a Monday.

Nice ambience, right on a nice street full of stores you can just stroll through. Came in for an Iced Mocha and it was fantastic, they blended and chilled it well; as opposed to lazily pouring coffee over ice and creating a watery lukewarm mess. I appreciate places that make good iced coffee! Will come again next time I'm in the area feeling thirsty, thanks a ton!

In the past they used to offer mediocre coffee specialties. Now an improved concept and way better quality. Great scone with butter if fresh-baked. Interesting selection of pastry and cakes. Some clients confuse half the salon for their living room. But staff is great. Outside, lots of ultra dirty ashtrays with worse ash odor than most smokers produce. The plant container even worse ash depot. On bad days, smoke seeps through window front into the salon.

It’s one of a few places in Mainz, where you can get coffee on lactose-free milk (and they have even a few options). The dishes look so delicious in matter. The size of the dishes is bigger than you expect, and they are fresh and nice. For coffee and a croissant, I paid 12€, which is an excellent price for such a dish in that region. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making my visit even more enjoyable. My companion also raved about the cake, which speaks volumes about its quality.
(Translated by Google) Contrary to the negative reviews, I found everything perfectly fine. I picked up a bag of leftovers at the end of the day from Too Good to Go, and the food looks just like it does when it's been sitting on display for a day. I have nothing to complain about.

(Translated by Google) I paid €4.90 for a roll with a bit of egg, old tomatoes and rotten lettuce! That's anything but fine, dear Viennese gourmet baker. If you're going to charge such exorbitant prices, at least make sure the ingredients are fresh!

(Translated by Google) Completely overpriced, poor value for money. I paid 5.65 euros for a ridiculously small bun with tomato and mozzarella. The bun was hard and dry and tasted like an old shoe sole. Tomatoes appeared to be several days old. In order to even get this culinary highlight down, I needed half a liter of water to wash it down. Why is it that these days - and this doesn't just apply to this shop - you only get to sell such rubbish, and then for utopian prices? If I hadn't already been on the train with this sandwich, I would have brought it back and asked for my money back.

(Translated by Google) Anyone who wants a completely soggy roll that tastes suspiciously like it was made yesterday, made with the cheapest ingredients and a lettuce leaf with brown spots, at a hefty price, should definitely buy here. Everyone else: Go somewhere else. My conclusion: Never again. And: Please save your blah blah answers and change something. Everyone benefits from it. I'm in good company, as I just learned while reading the other reviews.

(Translated by Google) This bakery is the unfriendliest I know!! I've never heard the employees say hello, let alone goodbye. They give you stupid, cheeky looks, like, "What do you want here?" They don't say hello or goodbye!...The way these employees serve you is abysmal!!! It's best to quit or get some communication/manner coaching, even though that should be a given. 0 points....!!! Please train your staff the 1x ONE IN SERVICE: to look friendly, to say hello, and not to look so grim that you're almost scared!!!

(Translated by Google) The prices are far too high; they charge €5-6 for a sandwich with egg and salami. Pastries are priced at normal prices. The quality, like any other bakery at a train station, isn't really that good or bad; you just have to eat something. But at those prices, you might as well just use the Deutsche Bahn onboard bistro, or if you're traveling via Frankfurt, you can wait half an hour and get something there.

Unbelievable good coffee. Realistic notes are provided, so it is not that hard to select beans online even if you don't know your favourite regions. Communication with the roastery was on point as well, really friendly and and empathetic.

(Translated by Google) Since the route from Vienna to Mainz seemed a bit too far, at least for a few packets of coffee, I asked Roberto to send me some. It didn't work at first because you couldn't select Austria on PayPal. After my request, this situation was immediately remedied so that I could look forward to the first delivery. Since then I have been able to enjoy the world's best, freshly roasted and super-fast delivered coffee, thank you very much, Roberto 🙏🏼 (Original) Da der Weg von Wien nach Mainz etwas zu weit erschien, zumindest für ein paar Päckchen Kaffee, habe ich Roberto gebeten mir welche zu schicken.
