Cruffin Saiatehas is a beloved gem in the community, renowned for its exceptional food and warm service. This charming bakery offers an impressive selection of pastries, including delightful options like salted caramel cinnamon buns and cardamom rolls that are simply irresistible. The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or indulge in their exquisite croissants, which come in various flavors. While prices may be slightly higher than average, the quality of the treats justifies every penny spent.
Top 5 most tasty bakery’s I’ve ever been to in the world (out of 237 worldwide so far as of Jan 2025) Get the crème brûlée croissant, and poppyseed cinnamon roll at minimum. Tucked away location, great vibe; warm, cozy, and inviting. Staff was very nice and helpful in English.

📍very close to the train station, centrally located 🖼simple interior, outside seating option 🥐tried the simple croissant and the cheescake one( which was gone in a second, couldn't even take a picture😅)both veeery tasty, very fresh, just melting in your mouth😋 🤵‍♀very good, pleasant service 💶good price for quality 💫will definitely come again

Very nice place and super delicious products. We ate rhubar croissant and I want more! Thank you!
Jenna A — Google review
One of my favorites place to visit when I’m at Tartu! Amazing pastries! You won’t retreat to come and have a taste!
Willian M — Google review
Have been waiting ages to try Cruffin and it was worth the wait. Wide variety of impressive pasties and ice cream on offer. They serve other brekkie options as well. Everything looked divine so I will have to come back. The salted caramel cinnamon bun was so tasty. Flat white was great too. Prices are similar to what you'd pay in Tallinn for this quality food. Friendly service and great location too!
Rita E — Google review
Lovely place in nice neighbourhood, where you can taste crispy croissants of every flavour. Be prepare for paying more but occasionally that was nice opportunity to try those fancy croissants with coffee and hot chocolate.
Lucie B — Google review
Good vibe, perfect pancakes and good music
Emily E — Google review
You order then get your cutlery and coffee at the bar which helps with fast service and avoids wrong orders etc. Like everywhere in Estonia the coffee is overpriced but the cappuccino was worth it. There is a brunch menu ( after 10:00 ) + a lot of pastry options. A perfect place for a cozy breakfast with friends.

Saialill bakery offers exceptional customer service and resolves any misunderstandings in a pleasant manner. It is known for its delectable and tasteful baked goods, being regarded as the best in town. The seasonal semla buns with blueberry filling are a delightful treat, with the whipped cream perfectly balancing the sweetness of the jam. The only improvement desired is for the buns to have a slightly softer texture.
Excellent customer service! Tthere was a little misunderstanding with my order and the way they resolved it was very pleasant - would like to come back asap. Very tasteful bakery, best in town!
Mathias M — Google review
Tried the seasonal semla buns with blueberry filling. It was quite enjoyable as the whipped cream was balancing the sweetness of the jam. I just wish the buns would have been a bit softer.
Getter M — Google review
We are patrons since the place opened. A selection of biscuits, pies, cakes and warious pastries. You also can order custom pastries such as traditional kringel. All tastes good.
Semjon G — Google review

(Translated by Google) The best zephyr cakes. In stores, there are super sweet, runny and chewy ones. Here they are airy, light and the sweetness is imperceptible. Cupcakes are also super good if you don't want to buy a big cake. Big, roomy and at a good price. I highly recommend. (Original) Parimad sefiiritordid. Poodides on ülimagusad, läilad ja nätsked. Siin on õhulised, kerged ja magusus on märkamatu. Super head on ka topsikoogid, kui suurt torti osta ei taha. Suured, mahukad ja hea hinnaga. Soovitan väga.

Bakery
Nestled in the charming city of Tartu, Saiapalee Tüümian is a delightful bakery that beckons food lovers with its array of sweet and savory pastries. Visitors often rave about the cozy atmosphere, enhanced by an artsy green design that creates a calming ambiance. While some patrons have experienced minor hiccups, such as delays due to coffee machine issues or unclean tables during quieter hours, the overall vibe remains inviting.
We stepped in just because it had such a nice calming artsy green design but I'm so glad we stayed. All we've tried was great. Coffee (oat latte) was perfect and rhubarb pastry was amazing and huge
Sylwia S — Google review
The best melt-in-your mouth soft cinnamon buns - truly a must-try! The bakery smells fantastic and the service was friendly.
Eliisabet J — Google review
A cute bakery which worth to visit. Everything was delicious and served quickly
Tamás M — Google review
Not that busy when I came in and even so the empty tables had not been cleaned. They had some issues with coffee machine so had to wait on it. Tried the Cinnabon. For the size it’s a good price. Not the best one i’ve tried, was hard to finish as the dough was not that good and the frosting did not compliment it the best way (tastes too much of butter).. They have alternative milk options.
Smomo180 — Google review
Good pastries, 3-5 euros per piece. The layout of the caffee is a bit unusual. The decorations and atmosphere were nice and cozy! The entry is through duo loft, the door has moved, the kitchen as well. The pastrys are of good quality.
Mery O — Google review
I came in because it’s right next to the Bob W. Loft and would like to get a cup of hot tea before checking in. I thought i might as well ask the lady whether she knew abt the check in reception. She looked so annoyed and said “I don’t know”. I mean it’s snowing out there and there’s no need to be rude. they probably got more business just because they were right next to Bob. W Loft. Anyways, the Napoleon cake was the worst cake I have ever tried..i usually would still finish it because dessert is always a good idea…but NOT this cake. It looked very nice but tasted terrible. Too sweet, the cream didnt taste of anything, then the layers were oily and soft.
Ivy W — Google review
First time in this bakery, got the pulled pork buns to go. The lady gave us warmer ones that had recently come from the oven, which was nice of her. They tasted okay, but nothing special, was hoping a lot more flavour for the price (3€ per bun) Considering how expensive everything was on the menu(even a tiny rum ball was 3€) and the buns tasted forgettable, I give it 3 stars.
Liis — Google review
Great selection of sweet and savoury pastries. Portions are very large so best for sharing. Tried the semla buns recently and was a bit disappointed as the bun was dry and dense. The whipped cream was well seasoned though. Probably one of the most expensive semla buns in the city at €3 per bun.

Bakery
Nestled in a slightly remote area, Saiasahwer is a charming local bakery that truly stands out in Tartu. Known for its delightful pastries, this hidden gem offers an impressive selection that often surpasses what you might find at supermarkets or cafes. While the prices may be on the higher side, they still provide great value for the quality of their baked goods. The warm and welcoming service adds to the experience, making each visit feel special.
Nice local bakery. Pastries are excellent, lot better than you can get from the local supermarkets or from most of the cafes. Selection may vary depending on the day. Prices could be little bit lower but it's still good value. Location is bit remote but it's worth the trip. They also sell coffee and tea but there aren't much room so you can't really enjoy it in the bakery.

I think you can only pre-order here. It was closed when we went there.

If you like little bakeries and tasty bakery products that feel like they've been made with love at home, this is a marvelous place for you. The clerk welcomed us with big and wide smile, and service was top notch. Selection is wide and not to say cheap but affordable prices.

Nestled in the charming city of Tartu, Muhu Pagarid is a delightful bakery that promises an unforgettable culinary adventure. Known for its artisanal approach, this bakery specializes in handmade breads that are simply irresistible. Among their standout offerings, the chocolate cranberry bread and hazelnut bread have garnered quite a following. However, be sure to plan your visit wisely as not all items are available daily.
Their handmade bread is my favorite, best for my taste are chocolate cranberry one, followed by hazelnut bread. But they have more, including some sweets and dried bread snacks. Unfortunately they do not bake all the assortment every day, so you need to time your visits.

Nestled in the heart of Tartu, Kohvik Käkk is a delightful café that exudes charm and warmth. With its eclectic mix of vintage furniture and vibrant art adorning the walls, it creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for relaxation or socializing. This cozy spot is particularly popular among families, especially on Sundays when patrons can bring their furry friends along for a leisurely brunch featuring delicious bagels and an array of pastries—both sweet and savory.
Our pet-saturated family’s favorite cafe! We take our two dogs with us on Sundays and go there for late breakfast / brunch. They’ve recently started to serve bagels (on Sundays only I think?), but on other days they serve the best pastries, savoury and sweet 😋 They also offer vegan, lactose free, and gluten free options at times (their selection is quite flexible and tends to vary). Anddd they serve amazing coffee ✨ Keywords: hipster, eclectic atmosphere, pet-friendly, lgbtq+ friendly, pastries, soup of the day, coffee. 🫶 Andd the staff is so so friendly and kind, so don’t hesitate to ask them 😊

Patisserie
GMP Patisserie offers a delightful selection of pastries and cakes. The eclair, filled with light cream and topped with pistachio crumble, stands out as a favorite. The attention to detail and balance of flavors in their menu items are commendable. While some find the cakes a bit pricey, the beautifully crafted details and delicious taste make them worth it. Additionally, the location in Tartu adds to the charm of this gem of a place.
It's not always easy to recommend something for a random people but there work people who recommended what to choose and it really was good. Excellent service and really good strong coffee and tasty cake. Nice interior, too. Only prices make it not the "everyday place"
J S — Google review
We only had two takeaway cakes. They were nice and a bit expensive. But I guess they had to pay for the posh box and decor. We ate them in the park across the road. My partner had to walk past the naked statue again !!
Paul M — Google review
Really nice cake selection with beautifully crafted details on the cakes. The taste is also on point. We ordered couple of truffles as well, but the taste was not as intense as we would have liked.
Leo M — Google review
Ordered a few pastries for takeaway and oh my were they delicious. The eclair was by far the best. Filled to the brim with light cream and pistachio crumble on top. Will definitely come again to try other menu items. The attention to detail and the balance of flavours is amazing. Definitely recommend.
Liis — Google review
Visited the place around 6 times in the past month. To make it short - the place is great! Service staff highly trained & very positive, interior roomy & clean, every dish you take is a slam dunk. The only quarrel I'd have with it is that the lighting is quite bright, but then again, it gives contrast to the establishments around it. P.s. they have authentic French baguettes which are sold only in the earlier part of the day.
Talis P — Google review
Loved that I got hot milk for my coffee. The sweets are not overly sugary and really tasty, I hope it stays this way since it's quite difficult to find good desserts. I like the atmosphere of the place and large windows to look outside. Will visit again for sure.
