Really enjoyed my visit here. The service is very friendly and the coffee tastes great. They have a good vegetarian breakfast selection and also a nice choice of cakes. You can sit both inside and outside, and the modern interior makes it a cozy and stylish place to relax. A good spot whether you’re coming for breakfast or just for a coffee break. The porridge was ok, though it could have used a bit more fruit on top and was surprisingly firm to the bite for porridge. The avocado with egg was also fine, but not particularly overwhelming.

Lunch offer. Salad + soup = 8.50 €. Very light, not filling. Mango Marakuja cake 5 euro, taste 6/10.

Visited for breakfast and this place is a must-go in Riga!! Food was insanely delicious and service is top! Ordered the potato pancakes with chia caviar, and tofu salad for mains. Matcha latte for a drink, and a pistachio tart...which was heaven on the lips! Vegetarian place and these were all vegan options. Sat in the outside area as the weather was lovely.

Amazing food. After long deliberation i chose jackfruit 🌮 tacos..wow!! Side order of Nachos. My friend had mushroom burger and sweet potatoe fries...good choice all round..we took home a nutty 'snickers' bar' and a chocolate coconut bar...yum 🙌

visited for breakfast on our first day in Riga and glad we did. plenty of food options with allergens clearly listed which was helpful for me with a milk allergy. coffee and match a both high quality and delicious. staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointing omelette, almost inedible from being so intensely greasy. Side salad was mostly frisee, which is good, yet makes for a very bare salad, especially with the cucumber sliced so thinly. Service was dull and sullen and I left with a queasy stomach. Grapefruit juice, at least, was fine. Was expecting much better from a place that touts being healthy.

Some great, flavourful food. Great selection for vegetarians but also carnivores will appreciate the rich flavor of the meals. Staff is friendly, positive, cheerful. It is on a grey streetside so you may walk past it but I recommend stopping by.

Kozy Eats is an absolute gem in Riga. The vegan food is not only lovely but also beautifully presented, with clear care and creativity in every dish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. The desserts, in particular, are simply divine – the perfect way to end a lovely meal. Marzipan square - 10/10. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, vibrant vegan cuisine in the city. We visited Kozy Eats on two occasions, and both visits were a real treat. Each time, my husband and I spent around €80/€90.

This place was a top recommendation from a YouTube blogger. I understand why! I had the Cauliflower in spicy sesame glaze and a side of the Homemade fried potato wedges. They were both fantastic! Coeliac safe, gluten free bakery serving up truly delicious baked savoury and sweet goods. FOOD: Great variety of flans, tarts, rolls, slices and bread rolls. They also sell uncooked gluten free pasta you can take away. They have water for free. Popular items like their cinnamon scroll sell out earlier in the day. The ingredients are of high quality and the items have plenty of filling. SEATING: In and outdoor seating available, more suited to groups of 2-4 than 8+. There is a step up, so it's not super wheelchair/walker friendly inside. STAFF: Really lovely, joyous and attentive staff who are passionate about what they do. OVERALL: Highly recommend and will be back! Plus your yellow purpose-built seating outside is just a gorgeous piece of artwork too! Thanks!

Had a very disappointing experience here. Came to buy a birthday cake for my friend who is gluten free, when we got there the woman was clearly angry that we were there. She told us we couldn’t sit down on the seats outside as she was closing in 40 minutes, we asked if we could sit outside until then and she said no. She tried putting the cake in a bag and we asked if we could have it in a box as we’d brought candles and she kept telling us they don’t have many boxes. Eventually she gave us a box after explaining again it was for a friends birthday. After all that, the pastries were dry and without much flavour.

I had an absolute blast at this place during my stay in Riga. The GF buns and pastries were divine, I couldn’t resist coming back not once, but three times! If you’re Celiac, don’t bother searching for a gluten-free bakery. Just ask your GPS to take you to this place, and you’ll be in for a treat!

100% gluten free bakery Bread was really good I recommend the cinnamon roll with mascarpone and Philadelphia topping, and the sandwich with mortadella. Only negative is that they don’t have nothing to heat your food so if you eat in house you might eat your slice of pizza cold (it was still very good).

Assumption is the mother of all mistakes. I got here, got some coffee and pointed to two different buns. One plain and one with blueberries. Or do I thought, basing it on what I saw. Got the coffee, sat down and… the plain bun was stuffed with bacon. Went to the blueberry one, but that was filled with what I think was some kind of olive mix. Can’t blame the proprietors for my mistake. But it was a mistake for sure. At least the coffee was fine 🙃

Wanted breakfast and most places don't open to till early but stumbled into this shop which opens at 730am lucky for me. I didn't know what to order and went for galas, and after I took a bite I realized it was filled with meat 🙃. It was chicken after I enquired, they also have cheese and spinach. The chicken one and the cheese one tasted lovely and they were still warm as they were freshly baked. Apparently the oldest bakery in Latvia. The coffee in the other hand was just OK. Lots of seating.

One of my favorite bakeries I've visited! So many different sweet and savory pastries. My favorite one was the Cinamon pastry. The seating was also very comfortable and nice and also very affordable prices for such a good quality.

A nice cozy place to sit and get breakfast, brunch or snack at. Since it is not a café but a bakery, the coffee isn't great, but the pastries and cakes (also some specifically Latvian ones) are absolutely delicious, so I do recommend. :)

Today 19/06/25 the women worked in this Martina Bekereja try to earn more money 🤑 than the actual price of the products we bought. She charged us more items than the one's we bought. We came back and she didn't even say sorry... Very bad behaviour..... She thought that she is more clever than us...

If you like great food at a reasonable price, the central market is waiting for you. SO MUCH FOOD! Everything was fresh and was as alluring to the nose as it was to the palate. So much variety, you will hardly know where to start. It's even fun if you're not hungry... just walk around and take it all in. Definitely recommend!

The best open market I’ve ever visited. Traditional meeting the modern in a wonderful mix. Vegetables, fruits, nuts fish, poultry, beef, clothes and lot of other things. I will be back.

I visited Riga Central Market, and it was such a vibrant experience. The market is huge and full of life you can find just about everything here, from fresh flowers and local foods to meats, cheeses, spices, and handmade goods. It’s a great place to discover authentic Latvian flavors and everyday life. The market is set inside historic old Zeppelin hangars, which gives it a unique and impressive atmosphere. Each pavilion specializes in different products, making it easy to explore and sample a wide variety of items. I especially enjoyed seeing the fresh produce stands and traditional Latvian treats. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s also a cultural experience, perfect for walking around, tasting, and soaking in the local vibe. Nice and quick lunch spot in the gastronomy market they have different restaurants where you can have local food and buy local cheeses and souvenirs. A nice quick stop in the city. Haven’t take any picture of the dumplings but they were very good.

Great place to sample the local food. There are plenty of fruit and veg stalls, flower stalls and clothing stalls as well as a food market inside. They sell all the traditional dishes for extremely reasonable prices so a great way to eat like the locals. It’s a vibrant, buzzing area that’s definitely worth a visit.

This place is just HUGEEEE! Lots of different departments, one for fruit, veg, others for meat, fish. cheese, deserts. All different ranges and prices depending on who you buy from. Some prices get cheaper along the way. There is a food department where you can eat lots of food again, depends where you want to eat and what you want to eat. But it is so big you’ll definitely leave with something. Clothes also. We walked here as we seen it was difficult to get parking 🅿️ There was a dumping food stall that was just … beautiful 😍 it’s hard to get a seat because in the food area lots of people are piled up.

A very wide assortment of articles on offer in the five former zeppelin hangars and at stall outside. Numerous local specialities at sensible prices. The fish names were especially confusing. Just a short walk from the train station and bus stops.

Let's start from the beginning. The staff barely smiled at us. I understand that everyone has their own things going on, and perhaps we visited on a bad day, but you're getting paid to at least offer a smile—even a fake one would’ve been better than nothing. The place was dirty; there was dust on the walls, pictures, and other surfaces. Fortunately, the tables were clean. We ordered one starter, one pizza, and one pasta dish. I would honestly prefer getting a pizza from Rimi—it had the same shape and taste as the one we were served. As for the pasta, it was served without any cheese. I assume this might be a cultural difference, but it still felt incomplete. Overall, I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I had high expectations after reading the reviews, definitely not worth the money.

Visited this place with colleagues for a weekday lunch and the place was buzzing. This alone makes you think that there must be delicious food. I chose the melt-in-your-mouth carpaccio and the lamb fillet. It was cooked exactly as I asked for, medium-rare. Wonderful. The others also liked everything, especially caramelized goat cheese. The service is a little slow, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

I would say it it THE BEST coffee shop in Riga. It always full and there’re few reasons for this. There are few options of beans for espresso. I choose Ethiopia beans with fruity and sour taste. Next time I will try another option. Also, would be great to ask for different water proportions and grinding. I like 1 to 2 water proportion, it should make it less sour. Cool place to have a coffee! It is also possible to work, many people does. I got the batch brew from Brazil but I wasn’t very impressed, the tones I got was reminder the vinegar most. It is a personal taste as well I am sure that they have other coffee beans more suitable to my taste. Mozzarella sandwich with rye bread was great though. Also the staff is very nice and helpful, they let me try also the other batch of the from Tanzania (which I also also didn’t like much because it has the citrus tones). I would recommend if you are in the neighbourhood. This is one of the best cafes in the town..

I wasn’t really a coffee person, but man, this place literally changed me! Great coffee, pastries as well as other drinks and foods. Plenty of seats, super welcoming staff and atmosphere, you can see the guys making your sandwich, roasting your coffee, location is among the best streets in the city. Gun to head, life on the line, I couldn’t name a single thing I dislike about this place!

Cozy Breakfast Spot with Room to Improve A lovely place for breakfast with friendly service. The Francis omelet and avocado toast with mozzarella were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The American pancakes, although visually appealing, were very tough—so firm it was hard to cut them with a knife. Still, a nice spot overall, but the kitchen has some room to improve. 🍳🥑🥞

This place serves the best coffee I have had in Riga (so far, at least). The menu is accessed via QR code, which seems to be quite common here, but I expect there are other ways to order if you don't have a smartphone. The food was good (although there were no potatoes, and I love potatoes), and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English.

Innocent Café was a decent stop for breakfast in Riga. The food leans more towards an American-style breakfast, and while nothing too unique, both the dishes and the coffee were tasty.

Although coffee is a bit expensive, 1€ extra for alternative milk this place is a gem. Waitresses are really friendly and food is awesome. I had a tunna sandwich for breakfast and then the daily menu which is only 7.99€ . Highly recommendable.

I still have the first memory of coming to this cafe last year January, on a very cold winter. Everything seemed so lifeless and gray in Latvia until I found this place. The smell of croissants and coffee and very nice music that goes along with the atmosphere completely changed the mood of my day. Not just pastries and salad are good, but also the cakes are demuring. I personally recommend the traditional cake Napoleon. I have tried in many different cafes in Latvia to compare the taste. However, none of them has won over Kūkotava yet. The locals have known this place since long, while nowadays many tourists come as well to enjoy brunch or dessert after a meal. Hope you go and give yourself a nice treat. Never bad to start a day with a sweet cake and a warm coffee🍰☕️

I’ve always loved the sweets from this place — everything I’ve tried before has been delicious. That’s why I was so excited to visit the new branch on Antonias 11. Unfortunately, this time I was really disappointed. The pastry I tasted was rubbery, as if it had been baked days ago, and the lemon cream had no lemon flavor or aroma at all. Sadly, it felt like money wasted(

During our trip, we kept coming back to this place — both to their dessert shop and their gourmet deli. The desserts are absolutely wonderful, and the deli is perfect if you’re looking for a quick but delicious lunch or light dinner. They have amazing salads with avocado, shrimp, tuna, or duck, plus tasty quiches and many other options. The coffee is excellent as well. It’s a lovely spot to sit both indoors and outdoors when the weather is nice. We stayed nearby for three days and ended up visiting every single day — and even grabbed some snacks to take home with us. Prices are very reasonable, and whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, savory, or just a little bite to go, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Exceptional Croissant in the City Centre — France, Step Aside In the first paragraph, the heart is secure, free to love, and the rest is limitless peace. That’s exactly how I felt biting into this croissant — in the middle of the city, yet completely transported. Forget Paris or Rome. This almond croissant was filled with rich, authentic almond paste — the kind you’d find in an elegant wedding cake, not the diluted stuff served across most of Europe. Baked to perfection: crisp shell, tender center, no excess butter or raw chewiness. The coffee? Strong, rich, and full of personality. A proper roast that lingers. Only downside? The service. When I asked for soy milk, I got a blunt “no” with no follow-up. No smile. No suggestion. For a city full of tourists, that moment lacked grace. Still — for the pastry alone, it’s a must. Pure craftsmanship in the city centre. France, tapisols.

Visited this place for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised with how delicious the honey cake was as well as coffee. I loveeeee this place! Found this small cafe accidentally during our walk through the old city Riga. The atmosphere is nice and elegant. Too bad they have small space, because it’s basically always full during our stay. I hope they will extent the place. Cruffin is crispy on the outside and soft fluffy on the inside. We took the pistachio, and I love that the filling is not too sweet. I personally usually don’t like this kind of filling because it’s always too sweet and thick. But that’s not the case for this one. That’s why I really love it. They even have matcha and prosecco at the same time. Perfect! And the lady is nice.

The atmosphere of the place is truly pleasant and nicely designed, with a wide selection of cakes that look very tempting at first glance. However, the impression was somewhat diminished by the service – the staff was not particularly friendly, and the cappuccino was served too hot, which didn’t leave the best impression. Among the pastries, I would highlight the cheese rolls, which were very tasty and worth recommending, while the bacon rolls fell short of expectations. Overall, the café has potential and a good selection, but the quality of service could certainly be improved

Everything looked really tasty, and I had a hard time choosing what to eat. I picked a cake with the poppy seeds. It was delicious and not too sweet. In the end I decided to get a cherry tart to go. Now I'm sorry I didn't get a strudel, so I'm definitely coming back.

Convenient location, pastries are passable only, they look better than they taste. Unfortunately, the service is terrible. The staff behind the counter is frankly rude. They ignore you and are completely uninterested in answering questions about the pastries. Coffee is overpriced, they charge almost €5 for a small cup of coffee with milk. I do not recommend.

We skipped dessert in the lunch restaurant only to get cake there after a recommendation. It was absolutely worth it. The cakes are simply delicious and not too sweet. Also the coffees were amazing.

This is a MUST-visit restaurant! I love their concept and the food just makes me feel so good inside out! I shared the “Nirvana plate” with a friend and the amount was good enough, considering we weren’t extremely hungry. Delicious cake that made me so happy to try, especially as someone who’s allergic to lactose and can rarely eat cakes! Friendly staff too :) If I go back to Riga, I’d workout a doubt go back here too!

This place is AMAZING, words cannot describe how much I love it. They have three daily options for main dishes and you can also mix it, and several cake options. Food tastes amazing, healthy and is all vegan. 100/10 for me, a pity I don’t live in Riga and can’t go here everyday. The vibes are also unmatched, with amazing chill music. Lovely local vibe vegetarian cafe with vegan options. We chose the beetroot soup, vegetable pancake and panna cotta style dessert. Service was slow at first. We waited at the desk, staff kept passing us but no service for around 5-10 mins of waiting there.

I liked Nirvana before for their conscious approach towards nutrition, spiritual ambiance, and overall quality offering of food. I have to say it’s more of an acquired taste; not all dishes are extraordinarily delicious, but they are well prepared. However, the last visit has changed my opinion. Today they had their version of Tom Yum on the lunch menu. I have a newly discovered allergy to cashews, so I don’t yet carry an epi-pen but make sure to check ingredients. Neither their Facebook page nor the menu on the physical board had cashews listed. They mention allergens for each dish, but nuts were not indicated for this soup. Overall, the cashier/waitress was not rude; her demeanor was generally positive. However, I was frustrated with the way the allergy issue was handled: it felt like a total lack of care. When I approached her about the amount of cashews in the soup, the first thing she replied with was that I should have told them I have an allergy. How could I do that if I had no idea their specific “Tom Yum” had cashews? Not typical, for sure. At least she offered to ask the cook about it, only to discover the one who made it had already left. In the end, I asked her to forward the information to the employees in charge of menu management. Nut allergies are extremely serious and even one or two nuts can cause anaphylaxis and death, and it’s very easy for a client to not notice them in their dish. Listing allergens accurately is crucial for any restaurant. I get that it might have been an honest mistake; however, no apology, refund, or at least basic human concern was offered. I was only saved by the fact that my allergy attack this time wasn’t as severe as before, but that might not end up being the case for others.

Beautiful cosy place, really nice vegan food. Great book selection to spend time reading! The cake was delicious but the english translation of the ingredients was not complete on the board and left out some things, which did not taste bad, but would have been nice to know beforehand :) The prices are really okay for this food quality. A few things that could be improved: - lower a little bit the volume of the music; it was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation - maybe mention that there is banana in your smoothies when you name the tastes; I have a banana allergy and it was an uncomfortable surprise...

My go-to place for lunch in Riga. I've been here three times and it never disappoints. The menu is very simple: main dish, raw dish and a soup, which change every day (current offer on their Facebook). There is also a daily dessert. The menu is displayed on a board, in both Latvian and English. Everything is vegan. The service is great, prices are great, the food comes out super fast and the atmosphere is so calming that you really want to eat here every day. The food is yummy, filling and extremely healthy.

Stopped by after lunch for some sweet desert and a latte. I tired the Citrona Kücina and expect it to have a hint of sour of lemon but instead the yellow jelly layer was very rubbery and stretchy. Overall, it’s ok but did not expect to eat rubber band. The latte is ok but very light on the coffee side.

Anyone who has ever tried real cacao ceremony in Bali will know how far this is from what is should be. The consistency is far (miles far away) from what is should be - very watery. Tastes like cacao powder with warm water. :( and all drinks are made only with oat milk. Sadly, no other options to choose from.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the vibe of this place! A very calm and grounded energy and always filled with beautiful, conscious people. The owners and all the staff are super friendly and welcoming. The cacao tastes absolutely phenomenal. I tried the anise shaman and the almond cacao. Both were delicious. Definitely best cacao I have ever tried. It has specific taste/spice. Atmosphere was unique , and most of all best service by Kristina. She tells you history of cacao where it comes and how they made it. Also they have events each Thursday evening which you can come and enjoy musics (they post in Instagram). Original Cacao cost 4 eur at the moment and you can pay by card.But they have different kind of cacaos with fruits, etc … Will definitely go and try each of them.

Fantastic food. I asked the owner and chef to customise my order and they exceeded my expectations by even adding pomegranate seeds and blueberries to the salad. We had a pleasant conversation while I waited. It's more of a take out than a restaurant as there are only 2 small tables and a bit hidden away though still on the main street but the quality of food and how nice they were definitely makes up for it. Definitely recommend for vegans and vegetarians!💚

This is the best falafel in Baltics, the place is unpretentious not like the most vegan places, the food quality is sky high, it feels great to be there, the chef loves her job.

I had such a great experience that I had to return. And will continue to come as much as possible. The food is delicious and satisfying, the service is impeccable, the hospitality is warm and inviting. Chef Oleg is so friendly and made good recommendations. From the first moment he made my mother and I feel like family. Not only is the lunch menu wonderful, but the selection of herbs and spices is unique and top quality, as are the teas. The vegan desserts are almost too pretty to eat and made from such pure ingredients. This is the most wonderful “medicine” and contributes to healing. I wish I could eat here every day. And the prices seem almost too low for such a good value and fresh healthy food.

We visited this place based on mutual reviews, and let me just tell you - this was amazing and definitely most closest vegan burger/kebab I’ve had to real meat one! The size of the thing was ginormous, my one and only meat lover boyfriend was full, and let me tell you, that is some goal to reach! Perfect place for trying black balsam, I ordered some kind of menu with different flavours- highly recommend this option. Ladies working there was super nice, the vibe and the place is stunning. Be careful- the black balsam is indeed a black magic 😁

Probably a bit touristy but that's the old town for ya. Was fun to try the different balsams on offer in a dark, quirky but fun atmosphere. Definitely should have tried the chocolates but that will be for next time. Just a fun little experience even if it's catered towards tourists.

Gorgeous building with incredibly detailed interior architecture filled with the warmth of candles, old timber, brass, cast iron, artisan chocolates, locally made drinks and friendly staff. OVERALL: Highly recommend. I went back a few times and strongly suggest it as a great tucked away place where you can hear and hold conversations with larger groups of friends/family... Easily seating 10+ or couples or even as a unique business meeting environment.

Visited in Sep 2025 The Black Magic bar in old town is the most popular bar in Riga due to its menu full of items made using Riga Black Balsam. They have a full cocktail menu where Balsam is one of the ingredients in the drinks, and also have food items where Balsam is a component. We ordered a couple of cocktails (the Black Mojito and the Fresh Black Cranberry) both of which were good. Also ordered a few chocolate truffles which I would also recommend ordering, as they were fantastic. However, if you want to buy bottles of Balsam, you’re better off buying it from a supermart (Rimi) then here because the prices are cheaper in the supermart. Service was fine. We did not have a reservation and did a walk in, and were able to get a seat immediately. But this place can get a bit crowded, and therefore visiting during peak hours may be better with a reservation. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to the Black Magic Bar when you’re in Riga for trying a few cocktails.

This place looks amazing inside, and the atmosphere gets even better with the candlelight. I went in to make a short break from exploring the city and it was an experience in itself. I really enjoyed sitting and relaxing here for a bit. The only downside is that the truffles did not meet my expectations, so I would suggest skipping them altogether and just enjoying a cup of coffe.

This place is themed and a tourist hotspot, but it is done well, and the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is celebratory. They specialise in sweet treats and the local drink Balsam - try the cherry before the classic to ease you in. Can't recommend enough, real candles, a wonderful aesthetic and friendly welcome - what more could you want. Plenty of seats inside and through the back.

What a nice surprise in Riga! The doughnuts had the perfect texture and flavor. We found the atmosphere laid back and friendly service. We will definitely come back

A cozy donut shop in the Art Nouveau Quarters of Riga. I ordered a cappuccino and two donuts, caramel, and hazelnut. Both donuts were incredibly delicious, soft, and paired perfectly with my coffee.

The donuts tasted like store-bought, or even worse. Some parts were dry, others seemed undercooked. There was no filling inside; the only flavor came from the glaze, which had a distinctly chemical taste and way too much sugar. The overall impression was like someone spread something sweet on un-toasted white toast bread. Donuts from Rimi or Lidl are much tastier and cheaper. I used to like this place few years ago, but resent experience was disappointing.

This place is amazing and if you like donuts you should check it out. The service was great, the worker behind the counter was really nice and helpful. It was pretty cheap, especially for the quality, the donuts were tasty and soft and you could tell they were fresh, and the cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had in Latvia and it was cheaper than other places. The location is central and if you sit by the window you can enjoy the Art Nouveau buildings.

I arrived 15 minutes before closing time and was able to grab the last few flavours(strawberry/lemon). They were really delicious, and I think I only paid 2.70€ No pictures, though, because I ate them all immediately! The staff was super nice and polite :)

The cafe was completely empty and the waitress still couldn’t clean any tables. I ordered a tea and it was ok, the cup was really big which I liked, but the service- no hello or goodbye, just - what you want. Also I was sitting on the couch and it was too low to eat something

Best donut shop in Latvia. Here you can find a large choice of different and tasty donuts. Cafe has it's own style, with colorful taste. Greate place to go with kids, as they have a lot of board games, or just to drink a coffee while working. And also one of the rare place where you can find staff with positive attitude and a smile on their face.

Very much recommended. Quality is top and prices are reasonable. First had the avenue beze and it was delicious with walnuts, cream, raspberry, beze etc. Gave it a delicious taste mixture, definitely worth the money. After that I had the apple maizite that also was amazing and very tasty. Crumbles, dough, apple, cinnamon and also cream. And for 1.20€ not to believe. I will for sure come back and try a lot more of their things. Definitely a big thumbs up and recommendation.

I really liked this place. It’s cozy and beautifully set up, with a pleasant view and comfortable tables. The honey cake was delicious, the service was excellent, and even the restroom was very clean. Located right in the center with reasonable prices — a very nice spot overall.

I am a frequent visitor of this little cafe in the center of Riga, have many favorites in their offer. This time I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday and it was a true star! Beautiful execution, fresh and fruity taste. Would be better if a little bit less sweet, but it is my personal taste. Truly recommend!

Amazing little café in Riga. All the pastries looked amazing but we settled for pavlova and medus kuka and they were both tasty and delicious. I would defo add this little gem into your list of must go for a lovely coffee break.

Very lovely bakery, has a lot of choices! My favourite was pistachio éclair - it is a must try if you love pistachio :) also had honey cake which was good and strawberry tea. I am not big fan of pavlova but my friend said it was tasty and as much as I tried it was nice and berries were very fresh!

The food is really great, simple and well executed with seasonal ingredients. The cocktails were good and included classics and modern variations. The wine list is a little pricey for Latvia, but not too bad for a high end place. However the service left a bit too be desired, they managed to be both too attentive and not be there when we wanted to order or pay.

We were there on a wedding buffet. Food was excellent, waiters professional, friendly and kind. Chef even brought wedding cake himself. Manager showed some skills - organised staff, tables and snacks that were always fresh on the table. Thank you! Great place with nice view and around 20 parking spaces.

A great place for a summer evening on a wooden terrace overlooking the marina. The food is generally quite good, although for the gourmets out there - you're here for the AMBIENCE, so don't expect outright miracles from the chef. Service is a bit edgy and could use some finishing touches, but overall a positive impression. A bit less magical in the autumn-winter-spring season (the "long grey dark", how they'd call it in the Baltics).

Location is excellent, next to yacht port, overlooking river Daugava. Food is good, service - excellent. Unfortunately Friday, when I was here, there was a DJ and his music preferences was very strange. Boom, boom, boom and very loud. This is romantic place and not a club. Unfortunately this was my first and last visit to Muusu Terase.

Looks good and centrally located. Unfortunately the food is very bland, seemingly without identity in a place that seeks to highlight local produce. We had a milky burrata, a smoked duck without smoke and a carrot sause tasting like soft ketchup. The main of tuna was decently done, but left no memories worth a note.

I liked the place but there were some things they can improve. Food was fresh and good but mine lacked some sauce (don’t get me wrong- there were some but it wasn’t enough) I had tortilla (made out of chickpeas) and my partner took poke bowl which was really good. The upside is that they have a lot of gluten free options and nice atmosphere. Staff could be more friendly/ helpful. I also liked their little shop corner with lots of gf and lactose free options.

I was completely blown away by this place! I loved the atmosphere in there, the staff was super friendly and immediately switched to English without a problem and showed us the English menu naturally, we didn't even have to ask for it. (By the way, I think it's really cool that there is nutritional info on your website! Knowing the calories, macros and iron/fiber/omega3 is really helpful for someone who wants to eat as healthy as possible. ) The food arrived really quickly and everything was freshly made and tasted amazing. I had the strawberry gazpacho and the red curry rice noodles, which I actually tried because I've never heard of a strawberry/tomato combination. It blew my mind, I loved it! My boyfriend had the falafel burger if I remember correctly, and a berry smoothie which we sadly didn't take a photo of. Must have also been freshly made, it was great, too! To take it even further they had lots of snack/protein bars, cookies, even supplements like spirulina or even chia protein and much more. I didn't buy anything there, but I had one of their bars at the airport the morning after, because they sold them there. I'm really happy that I found out that they have an online shop haha! I know, this all sounds too good to be true - but in my case there is truly nothing negative I could say. This place has won my heart and stomach and when I come back to Riga one day y'all know where to find me at lunch time!

Amazing restaurant! The food is not only healthy, but super delicious! They also provide nutrition information and offer a variety of gluten free, lactose free and vegan options. The takeout works just fine without compromising the quality or taste. The staff is super helpful and kind. I also recommend getting their all natural cookies, chips, granola or snack bars from the shop.

This was my first time trying the beyond burger. I thought it was great, if I didn't know it was vegan I wouldn't have questioned it. A great alternative to meat. This restaurant was really good, with a nice atmosphere and great staff. I would recommend.

Good idea, however poor execution... In places like this customers are often trying to avoid different products (like lentils, garlic or others). When we asked to prepare the dish without beans and lentils, staff rolled her eyes and took the order... just to bring the dish with beans... No attempt to satisfy client even in case of staff fault... Recipe of same dishes varied every day (3 times)... Hope the owner will find this feedback valuable.

Perfect for vegans or fitness enthusiasts. The menus literally shows the macronutrient content contained within each dish. I wish all restaurants did this as it would make keeping track of calorie sources so much easier. The food is fresh and the smoothies are refreshing. The staff are very kind and well mannered. The prices are also very reasonable.

This place has an amazing atmosphere, with a beautiful interior and a warm, cozy vibe. I especially appreciated the indie pop/rock music playing in the background, it created a relaxed and enjoyable mood as I had my late breakfast and flat white. One of the highlights was the open workspace, where you can watch the staff baking fresh pastries and bread. It added a nice, authentic touch to the experience. The coffee was of good quality, though the cup was a bit on the small side. The food was delicious, I particularly loved the salted pastry with tomato and mozzarella, which was both flavorful and satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our coffees arrived very quickly, which we appreciated. We paid 24 euros for three pastries and two flat whites. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the quality, atmosphere, and service, it felt well worth it. A very enjoyable experience overall.

Most of pastries in this bakery are sweet, so if you want a savoury one, I would not recommend. At my first visit I got poppy seed croissant roll. It was pretty good but kinda boring. There were not much poppy seeds in the pastry. 7/10. The second time I was there I got pistachio croissant. It was very sweet. The filling was upsetting - it was not creamy, more like homemade icing (I could feel sugar crystals). So, if you are not into really sweet things, I wouldn’t recommend. 6/10. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Pretty busy both times I was here, but that’s not a problem for me.

For a place that promotes it self as a coffee place, the cappuccino is made way too hot. It seams that milk is close to 100 degrees hot, so that’s not good. The cupcake is really good though. Atmosphere is also really cool. Staff is nice.

Yummmmmmm! I’ve been waiting for Fika to re-open and they didn’t disappoint! Signature dark chocolate brownies, traditional Latvian desserts, fantastic customer service and spotlessly chic interior decor. It’s a must for any baked goods foodie. Curbside eating, a few beers and ciders available as well.

I’m a medical student and often study in cafés around Riga, always ordering food and drinks. This was by far the worst experience me and my friends have had in six years here. One of the staff members was openly rude from the moment we walked in, the way she took our orders was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Even though me and my friends were sitting quietly, working, and had all ordered something, she started taking photos of us without our permission. When confronted, she refused to delete them, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. She then told us we were “not allowed to use laptops for more than 2 hours,” despite there being no sign or rule posted anywhere. Me and my friends did absolutely nothing wrong, yet were treated with disrespect the entire time. Unprofessional, disrespectful , and a very unwelcoming environment. Me and my friends will not be returning and I will be sure to spread the word among other students so they know what to expect.

The dessert (brownie) was dry and the cream on top was also dry. But worst of all was the music. It was so loud I could barely hear my own thoughts. So please Fika if you read this, lower the music. Also staff is not very nice.

The ambiance of this place is chill which is perfect for people looking for a place to work, read a book, or have a pleasant time rewinding after a long day at work. The coffee was very tasty and rich and they have a wide selection of vegan desserts.

Nice coffee shop with cozy decoration, the staff are kind, cool and welcoming. The coffee is tasty. They have a terrace so you sit and chill. I went for the four starts just because of the croissant, you could do better with a real French croissant, but the rest is fine. The coffee is well located in the city and could get there from the old town in 10 minutes or less

Good desserts, but there are almost no dishes that aren’t sweet, aside of the “salmon wrap” that was actually mozzarella and had no salmon, wasn’t a problem for me, however it could be a big one for somebody lactose intolerant

I had a very disappointing experience. When I paid, they didn’t have change and told me to “go exchange it somewhere else.” I believe it’s their responsibility to handle payments properly and make sure customers are comfortable, but instead they made it inconvenient and unprofessional.

We had these chimney cakes for the first time in Prague last year and they were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to see them here in Riga! They are delicious here also and the service is super friendly.

An amazing and cute place! We didn't have to wait for long to our orders to be taken, and theg made them pretty quickly! The girls who were working there were sweet, and did an excellent job! It was sooo tasty, and it seems that they have freshly baked dought with Cinnamon, that tasted like a Cinnamon bun! Price is good, if you count how good it's made and how much ingredients do they put inside! It was 6,50€ if I'm not mistaken. Really enjoyed this place, and hope to visit it soon for the second round!

Waiting for the food was also veeery long. The portions have become smaller and the prices higher. The appearance of the food doesn’t look very presentable. I was shocked to see a dirty sink and a dirty floor in a place like this. They present themselves as a fancy bakery/cafe, but in reality they’re lacking aesthetics, good quality and politeness.

The food is tasty, but nothing exceptional. Prices are reasonable for the quiet center. The final straw was a situation where, due to a large number of guests, one of the female guests accidentally bumped into a table, and a vase broke. The manager’s reaction - shouting across the entire restaurant - came off as completely unprofessional and humiliating.

It was a little loud inside with the music and as the place is small and I was there at an hour when it was quiet, it was a bit akward haha. Design is cute, great tables and an outdoor terrace. I tried the previous days (sold separately with extra discount) and I could taste that - dryer than the fresh one. Tasty crumble cookies. They also have available not sweet things but also croissants with different meats and extra ingredients. Everything is made on the spot and clients are served by a really hospitable saleswomen. I felt welcomed here. Dining area is not huge - two tables inside and one outside. There are high stairs at the entrance so you have to work for your calories.

Probably, the best deserts in the city. Nice, cozy cafe, the service is very attentive and forthcoming. Wide selection of pastries and godly salted caramel. Definitely recommended!

However, there is one special drink that I definitely recommend trying – hot chocolate made from melted chocolate and served with whipped cream (+1 EUR). This drink will surely warm you up on rainy and cold days and will be a perfect addition to your sweet experience.

Nice little cafe and chocolate shop serving hot drinks but also lots of sweet treats. Lovely staff and very nice to visit. We just had coffee, managed to resist the rest lol.

Chocolate and ice cream with a massive and unmerited display of anger. We arrived at about 8:40pm wanting chocolate and ice cream. I don’t know what was going wrong for the person behind the counter, but he started rude, and descended into anger. Whatever piece of machinery he was using under the counter had made him really angry, and he was smashing it open and closed. It created a really hostile atmosphere. Nice cheese cake. Nice ice cream. Sort out your anger issues.

The staff were extremely unprofessional — their attitude toward visitors was rude, with unfriendly looks and loud voices. One of the employees even shouted at me and threw it toward me carelessly. Completely unacceptable behavior. I do not recommend this place at all, and I definitely won’t be coming back.

One of the best cafes in Riga. Amazing pastry, delicious deserts and coffee straight from Italy. This place will definitely give you some Italian vibes. The service is on the highest level. I can definitely recommend this place for anyone.

Cadets de Gascogne – A pause, but not perfection. After a long wander through the city, we landed at Cadets de Gascogne, hoping for that ideal coffee pick-me-up. We sampled the Cappuccino, Caffè Latte, and Hot Chocolate—a lineup that sadly didn’t live up to our expectations. The flavors felt muted, and none quite delivered that comforting spark we were craving. ☕🍫 Maybe our taste buds were off, or maybe it just wasn’t their best day in the kitchen—but I’ve definitely had better brews elsewhere. Still, it’s an okay spot for a casual break if you’re not chasing coffee nirvana. The setting offered a peaceful pause, and sometimes that’s all you really need.

Great desserts with CHEAP PRICES we were shocked. a portion of a nice brownie for 1.7€ and tiramisu for 2.3!! comparing the size of a portion and prices in other cafes in the central district it is very affordable, also the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, not too loud and crowded ! recommend trying brownie

I have been to most cafés in Riga and all were good and had a decent nice coffees and snacks but his cafe takes it to the next level. The almond croissant is the best I had anywhere until now, it is just so rich in texture and the taste is extra ordinary. This cafe cannot be missed if you are in Riga. I already visited this place 2 times in 2 days.

Had just finished my coffee and pastry and my husband brought the dishes downstairs to help the employees of the cafe. A young woman working there comes to me and says “by the way you can’t sit here if you don’t order anything, just saying” This describes the attitude towards the customer in this cafe!

obsessed with this place. i religiously go there every day. a real paris vibes brought into latvia, riga. sweet staff and amazing atmosphere. the croissants and other pastries are excellent and cheep. coffee is good and with plant based milk choices. my favourite sandwiches in the whole world

This used to be a VERY good, quiet french style cafeteria with good french chanson in the background. PLEASE make it back the way it was!!! Unfortunately, now they play bum bums, and the staff is chating among themselves so loud !!! that I have to yell my orders to be heard. No place for "a la relax" anymore :(
