Coffee shop
MiiT Coffee is a popular spot among young, creative professionals and downtown hipsters in Riga. It's not just a coffee shop but also known for its vegetarian and vegan cuisine. The place offers an excellent vegan lunch deal on weekdays and a delightful pancake brunch on weekends. Additionally, MiiT serves award-winning coffee and has an all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet during the week, featuring omelettes, fresh bread, couscous, salad or porridge.
A very cool spot with a super convenient location. There are plenty of seating options, and I really appreciated that some areas have rules restricting laptop use during certain hours. It's a refreshing change, especially since so many cafés have turned into free co-working spaces. They have a great selection of specialty beans for filter coffee. I usually stick to espresso, but I noticed some unique beans with notes of bubblegum, strawberry, and watermelon candy from the Netherlands. It was such a surprising and delightful experience-flavors I never expected in coffee! On my next visit, I tried a more classic fruity filter coffee, and it was equally delicious. I also indulged in a slice of chocolate cake, which was just perfect. The staff has an amazing vibe-friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The music was also on point: chill electronic beats that added to the atmosphere. Highly recommend this place. Come try it out and discover something new for yourself!

Really enjoyed my visit here. The service is very friendly and the coffee tastes great. They have a good vegetarian breakfast selection and also a nice choice of cakes. You can sit both inside and outside, and the modern interior makes it a cozy and stylish place to relax. A good spot whether you’re coming for breakfast or just for a coffee break. The porridge was ok, though it could have used a bit more fruit on top and was surprisingly firm to the bite for porridge. The avocado with egg was also fine, but not particularly overwhelming.

Lunch offer. Salad + soup = 8.50 €. Very light, not filling. Mango Marakuja cake 5 euro, taste 6/10.

Visited for breakfast and this place is a must-go in Riga!! Food was insanely delicious and service is top! Ordered the potato pancakes with chia caviar, and tofu salad for mains. Matcha latte for a drink, and a pistachio tart...which was heaven on the lips! Vegetarian place and these were all vegan options. Sat in the outside area as the weather was lovely.
Priya C — Google review
Beautiful place and delicious food! It was such a pleasant surprise to find a place with so many vegan food options. I had a wrap with mushrooms 10/10 Also very kind staff and cozy atmosphere
Deniz D — Google review
Amazing food. After long deliberation i chose jackfruit 🌮 tacos..wow!! Side order of Nachos. My friend had mushroom burger and sweet potatoe fries...good choice all round..we took home a nutty 'snickers' bar' and a chocolate coconut bar...yum 🙌
ANDREA A — Google review
visited for breakfast on our first day in Riga and glad we did. plenty of food options with allergens clearly listed which was helpful for me with a milk allergy. coffee and match a both high quality and delicious. staff were very friendly and helpful.
Ruby H — Google review
Very disappointing omelette, almost inedible from being so intensely greasy. Side salad was mostly frisee, which is good, yet makes for a very bare salad, especially with the cucumber sliced so thinly. Service was dull and sullen and I left with a queasy stomach. Grapefruit juice, at least, was fine. Was expecting much better from a place that touts being healthy.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Riga, Kozy Eats is a delightful vegan haven that invites you to unwind and indulge in a variety of delicious plant-based offerings. This charming eatery boasts an inviting atmosphere filled with greenery, making it feel like you're enjoying a picnic amidst nature, even while surrounded by the city's hustle and bustle. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a cozy spot to catch up with friends, Kozy Eats provides the perfect backdrop.
Very good vegan food. I especially liked the cauliflower appetizer. One minor negative for me was that both of the dishes were marked to be spicy, but I barely tasted the heat in them. This didn't bother me that much this time, and I know that I have a high tolerance, but just to let you know if you expect spicyness here.
M. P — Google review
Some great, flavourful food. Great selection for vegetarians but also carnivores will appreciate the rich flavor of the meals. Staff is friendly, positive, cheerful. It is on a grey streetside so you may walk past it but I recommend stopping by.
Mārtiņš B — Google review
Kozy Eats is an absolute gem in Riga. The vegan food is not only lovely but also beautifully presented, with clear care and creativity in every dish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. The desserts, in particular, are simply divine – the perfect way to end a lovely meal. Marzipan square - 10/10. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, vibrant vegan cuisine in the city. We visited Kozy Eats on two occasions, and both visits were a real treat. Each time, my husband and I spent around €80/€90.
Katrina N — Google review
Nice, calm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and very helpful and efficient. The food is amazing. So many choices...As a vegan for over a decade it was hard to have so many delicious options on the menu! Out of all the places we visited in Riga, this is the place we decided to go back to.
Ruth ( — Google review
Cool place in a nice neighbourhood setting. Menu has a great range of food options from burgers, to healthy salads and other creative dishes. Would highly recommend coming here for some vegan food in Riga.
James M — Google review
This place was a top recommendation from a YouTube blogger. I understand why! I had the Cauliflower in spicy sesame glaze and a side of the Homemade fried potato wedges. They were both fantastic! The staff were very attentive and welcoming. I will be recommending this place too for sure. Thanks to the staff who served me!
Dustin — Google review
Delicious vegan dishes at great prices, with a welcoming atmosphere that extended even to our dog. The pistachio pesto pasta was a standout, and the overall vibe was relaxed and inviting.

Gluten-free restaurant
Better Bread is a gluten-free bakery located in the Baltics, offering a range of pastries and bread without gluten, refined sugar, or harmful additives. The founders, Alena and Sergey, trained in Italy, England, and Germany to bring delicious gluten-free pastries to Riga. The bakery takes coffee seriously with high-quality drinks prepared using cutting-edge equipment.
Delicious cinnamon roll with mascarpone glaze 😋 not too sweet yet very flavorful and tasty for a gluten-free baked good. Price was €3. Definitely more of a grab and go spot, not for dining in.

100% GLUTENFREE Top notch Bakery and Café for the discerning glutenfree gourmet guys who want to experience something mouthwatering beyond the usual gluten- and oat-free offerings. Also organic and special baked every day and everything is handmade! A lot of efforts and love is the key! Really juicy ham and cheese bread buns with absolutely perfect texture! No need to have anything to drink, easy to chew and a very pleasant taste. But of course the Better Bread's specialty coffee is a must! Don't leave without trying their good coffee, ok? This is the right place for indulging and overeating buns, cookies, cakes, pizza slices, bread - you want to be sure you don't miss anything from their delicious, tasty, yummy repertoire of options.😋 Also buy online, shipping within Europe, products delivered in gas packaging for the products to stay fresh. Even if you don't suffer from gluten intolerance you have to give Better Bread a try! Go there! Three bakery and cafés in Riga, one in Jurmala outside Riga. Bon appetite!👅
Silja S — Google review
Coeliac safe, gluten free bakery serving up truly delicious baked savoury and sweet goods. FOOD: Great variety of flans, tarts, rolls, slices and bread rolls. They also sell uncooked gluten free pasta you can take away. They have water for free. Popular items like their cinnamon scroll sell out earlier in the day. The ingredients are of high quality and the items have plenty of filling. SEATING: In and outdoor seating available, more suited to groups of 2-4 than 8+. There is a step up, so it's not super wheelchair/walker friendly inside. STAFF: Really lovely, joyous and attentive staff who are passionate about what they do. OVERALL: Highly recommend and will be back! Plus your yellow purpose-built seating outside is just a gorgeous piece of artwork too! Thanks!

UPD: I previously left a negative review because my order was missing three canelés. I’d like to correct that and thank you for how you handled the situation! I received a package with bread, canelés, and a poppy seed bun – everything was absolutely delicious. It was such a kind and thoughtful gesture! Thank you for caring about your customers and for your amazing pastries. Now I know for sure that I’ll be coming back♥️ I visited your bakery yesterday (March 17, 2025) and purchased several pastries, including three pieces of canelé. However, when I got home, I realized that they were missing from my order, even though they are clearly listed on my receipt😩

One of the best bread bakery!!! Delicious bread, pastry and coffee. Cashiers (bakers) were nice and SUPER helpfull. They accept cards.
Dominik “ — Google review
Had a very disappointing experience here. Came to buy a birthday cake for my friend who is gluten free, when we got there the woman was clearly angry that we were there. She told us we couldn’t sit down on the seats outside as she was closing in 40 minutes, we asked if we could sit outside until then and she said no. She tried putting the cake in a bag and we asked if we could have it in a box as we’d brought candles and she kept telling us they don’t have many boxes. Eventually she gave us a box after explaining again it was for a friends birthday. After all that, the pastries were dry and without much flavour.
Saskia — Google review
I had an absolute blast at this place during my stay in Riga. The GF buns and pastries were divine, I couldn’t resist coming back not once, but three times! If you’re Celiac, don’t bother searching for a gluten-free bakery. Just ask your GPS to take you to this place, and you’ll be in for a treat!
Katarina S — Google review
100% gluten free bakery Bread was really good I recommend the cinnamon roll with mascarpone and Philadelphia topping, and the sandwich with mortadella. Only negative is that they don’t have nothing to heat your food so if you eat in house you might eat your slice of pizza cold (it was still very good).

Bakery
Mārtiņa Beķereja is a traditional Latvian bakery in Riga, known for its focus on authentic recipes and affordable prices. The baking style here is simple and reminiscent of childhood memories, with popular items like poppy bread rolls evoking nostalgic feelings. This oldest bakery in Riga offers a variety of pastries, pies, cakes, and other baked goods. Visitors can enjoy local pastries at budget-friendly prices.
Nice place for coffee break. You can find sweet and salty bites. ☺️ There is enough air and space.
Keli T — Google review
Assumption is the mother of all mistakes. I got here, got some coffee and pointed to two different buns. One plain and one with blueberries. Or do I thought, basing it on what I saw. Got the coffee, sat down and… the plain bun was stuffed with bacon. Went to the blueberry one, but that was filled with what I think was some kind of olive mix. Can’t blame the proprietors for my mistake. But it was a mistake for sure. At least the coffee was fine 🙃
Robert I — Google review
Wanted breakfast and most places don't open to till early but stumbled into this shop which opens at 730am lucky for me. I didn't know what to order and went for galas, and after I took a bite I realized it was filled with meat 🙃. It was chicken after I enquired, they also have cheese and spinach. The chicken one and the cheese one tasted lovely and they were still warm as they were freshly baked. Apparently the oldest bakery in Latvia. The coffee in the other hand was just OK. Lots of seating.
T — Google review
Really nice home-made pastries for a very fair price.

Tried one of each of their savoury buns and they are simply fresh and delicious! Excited to try their sweet buns!
Khushank S — Google review
One of my favorite bakeries I've visited! So many different sweet and savory pastries. My favorite one was the Cinamon pastry. The seating was also very comfortable and nice and also very affordable prices for such a good quality.
Mads — Google review
A nice cozy place to sit and get breakfast, brunch or snack at. Since it is not a café but a bakery, the coffee isn't great, but the pastries and cakes (also some specifically Latvian ones) are absolutely delicious, so I do recommend. :)

Today 19/06/25 the women worked in this Martina Bekereja try to earn more money 🤑 than the actual price of the products we bought. She charged us more items than the one's we bought. We came back and she didn't even say sorry... Very bad behaviour..... She thought that she is more clever than us...

Riga Central Market is a sprawling market located by the river, featuring both indoor and outdoor stalls offering a wide variety of goods. The market is housed in five historic buildings that were originally Zeppelin hangars, with each building specializing in different products such as fruits and vegetables, fish, meats, and more. The unique architecture of the market adds to its charm, with its metalwork dating back to the 1920s.
Riga Central Market is a vibrant and fascinating place to explore, and one of the largest and most unique markets in Europe. Housed in impressive former zeppelin hangars, it offers a mix of history, culture, and local flavors all under one roof. The variety is incredible—you can find everything from fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats to local cheeses, smoked fish, baked goods, and traditional Latvian delicacies. Outside, there are also stalls with clothes, crafts, and souvenirs. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, giving you a real taste of everyday life in Riga. It’s the perfect spot to try local snacks, meet friendly vendors, and take in the aromas and colors of Latvian cuisine. ⭐ Tip: Visit in the morning for the freshest products and fewer crowds.
Maria C — Google review
If you like great food at a reasonable price, the central market is waiting for you. SO MUCH FOOD! Everything was fresh and was as alluring to the nose as it was to the palate. So much variety, you will hardly know where to start. It's even fun if you're not hungry... just walk around and take it all in. Definitely recommend!
Paul C — Google review
The best open market I’ve ever visited. Traditional meeting the modern in a wonderful mix. Vegetables, fruits, nuts fish, poultry, beef, clothes and lot of other things. I will be back.
Joel M — Google review
I visited Riga Central Market, and it was such a vibrant experience. The market is huge and full of life you can find just about everything here, from fresh flowers and local foods to meats, cheeses, spices, and handmade goods. It’s a great place to discover authentic Latvian flavors and everyday life. The market is set inside historic old Zeppelin hangars, which gives it a unique and impressive atmosphere. Each pavilion specializes in different products, making it easy to explore and sample a wide variety of items. I especially enjoyed seeing the fresh produce stands and traditional Latvian treats. It’s not just a place to shop—it’s also a cultural experience, perfect for walking around, tasting, and soaking in the local vibe. Prices are fair, and you’ll find both locals and tourists enjoying the market. If you’re visiting Riga, this is definitely a must-see. 📍 Location: Nēģu iela 7, Riga, Latvia

Nice and quick lunch spot in the gastronomy market they have different restaurants where you can have local food and buy local cheeses and souvenirs. A nice quick stop in the city. Haven’t take any picture of the dumplings but they were very good.
Giulia T — Google review
Great place to sample the local food. There are plenty of fruit and veg stalls, flower stalls and clothing stalls as well as a food market inside. They sell all the traditional dishes for extremely reasonable prices so a great way to eat like the locals. It’s a vibrant, buzzing area that’s definitely worth a visit.
Mel P — Google review
This place is just HUGEEEE! Lots of different departments, one for fruit, veg, others for meat, fish. cheese, deserts. All different ranges and prices depending on who you buy from. Some prices get cheaper along the way. There is a food department where you can eat lots of food again, depends where you want to eat and what you want to eat. But it is so big you’ll definitely leave with something. Clothes also. We walked here as we seen it was difficult to get parking 🅿️ There was a dumping food stall that was just … beautiful 😍 it’s hard to get a seat because in the food area lots of people are piled up.
M L — Google review
A very wide assortment of articles on offer in the five former zeppelin hangars and at stall outside. Numerous local specialities at sensible prices. The fish names were especially confusing. Just a short walk from the train station and bus stops.

Restaurant
Portofino, an upscale Italian restaurant located in Riga's Art Nouveau district, offers a sophisticated and refined dining experience. The entire meal at this elegant hideaway is superb, with delicious dishes from the appetizing black bean dip served alongside artisan bread to the meticulously presented desserts. The attentive wait staff warmly welcomes guests upon their arrival and willingly accommodates special requests such as filleting fish instead of serving it whole.
This is a hidden gem in the streets of Riga. The place is perfect for a business lunch as it's located in the center of the city, and at the same time the restaurant provides necessary privacy during the lunch. They have tables on two floors, including separate rooms. The food is great, the service and table setups are impeccable. I really liked the vibe, the Italian atmosphere is created by interesting interior details such as wine bottles and art representing Portofino in Italy. Highly recommended venue for a nice meal in Riga!
Kate K — Google review
Let's start from the beginning. The staff barely smiled at us. I understand that everyone has their own things going on, and perhaps we visited on a bad day, but you're getting paid to at least offer a smile—even a fake one would’ve been better than nothing. The place was dirty; there was dust on the walls, pictures, and other surfaces. Fortunately, the tables were clean. We ordered one starter, one pizza, and one pasta dish. I would honestly prefer getting a pizza from Rimi—it had the same shape and taste as the one we were served. As for the pasta, it was served without any cheese. I assume this might be a cultural difference, but it still felt incomplete. Overall, I was very disappointed with this restaurant. I had high expectations after reading the reviews, definitely not worth the money.
Cristian — Google review
Everything was okay but nothing was super, I didn’t feel something special in the restaurant more than the atmosphere, I mean the design. Also I can’t complain about the food, we finished it all 😁 Thank you
Mohamed E — Google review
Visited this place with colleagues for a weekday lunch and the place was buzzing. This alone makes you think that there must be delicious food. I chose the melt-in-your-mouth carpaccio and the lamb fillet. It was cooked exactly as I asked for, medium-rare. Wonderful. The others also liked everything, especially caramelized goat cheese. The service is a little slow, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

I would say it it THE BEST coffee shop in Riga. It always full and there’re few reasons for this. There are few options of beans for espresso. I choose Ethiopia beans with fruity and sour taste. Next time I will try another option. Also, would be great to ask for different water proportions and grinding. I like 1 to 2 water proportion, it should make it less sour. My friend’s late art 🖼️ was beautiful 🤩 I wish see any other late art themes by request or pay 💰 Panini with chicken was very tasty. The right size. Great to have some gluten free options for people with lower tolerance and simply for healthier lifestyle. There are a lot of people with laptops. Great that there is such option. I like to visit such places, were feels a startup spirit. I wish Rocket Beans’ stocks to the moon 🚀🚀🚀

I wanted to check where all the cool kids hang out, so I went here. Great coffee in a huge space with sweet and savoury food options and wife. Well stocked retail side for your coffee needs.

Sometimes it’s packed to the brim, with barely a seat in sight, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. ❤️ The coffee is unmatched, especially the latte: smooth, velvety, and always exactly what you need, whether it’s 8am or 4 in the afternoon when life feels a bit too much. It’s a haven for students, dreamers, thinkers, anyone who needs a moment of peace or a place to feel inspired. The service is always kind, never rushed. Warm lighting, the soft hum of conversations and keyboards, the scent of freshly ground beans - it all makes Rocket Bean more than a café. It’s a ritual. A refuge. My safe place in the middle of the city ☕️

Cool place to have a coffee! It is also possible to work, many people does. I got the batch brew from Brazil but I wasn’t very impressed, the tones I got was reminder the vinegar most. It is a personal taste as well I am sure that they have other coffee beans more suitable to my taste. Mozzarella sandwich with rye bread was great though. Also the staff is very nice and helpful, they let me try also the other batch of the from Tanzania (which I also also didn’t like much because it has the citrus tones). I would recommend if you are in the neighbourhood. This is one of the best cafes in the town..

I wasn’t really a coffee person, but man, this place literally changed me! Great coffee, pastries as well as other drinks and foods. Plenty of seats, super welcoming staff and atmosphere, you can see the guys making your sandwich, roasting your coffee, location is among the best streets in the city. Gun to head, life on the line, I couldn’t name a single thing I dislike about this place!

Innocent Cafe, located in Riga, is a popular spot known for its diverse breakfast options, delectable desserts, and a wide range of coffee drinks. The cafe has also gained fame for its pizza offerings topped with LifeTree vegan cheeses from Latvia. As one of the first establishments in Riga to introduce brunch, it has become a go-to destination for delicious and healthy mid-morning meals.
Great breakfast cafe, ordered american pancakes and my husband ordered fried eggs and bacon and both were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I recommend u give it a try. If u like strong coffee I ordered a flat white and it didn’t disappoint. Orange juice is freshly squeezed.

Cozy Breakfast Spot with Room to Improve A lovely place for breakfast with friendly service. The Francis omelet and avocado toast with mozzarella were delicious, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The American pancakes, although visually appealing, were very tough—so firm it was hard to cut them with a knife. Still, a nice spot overall, but the kitchen has some room to improve. 🍳🥑🥞

So far the best place in Riga's centre to have coffee (and work in my case)! Very nice and attentive staff, cozy atmosphere, soft music, and good coffee. Nice place for breakfast or lunch, as here you can find much bigger variety than in a usual coffee shop. Highly recommended!

This place serves the best coffee I have had in Riga (so far, at least). The menu is accessed via QR code, which seems to be quite common here, but I expect there are other ways to order if you don't have a smartphone. The food was good (although there were no potatoes, and I love potatoes), and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent English.

Innocent Café was a decent stop for breakfast in Riga. The food leans more towards an American-style breakfast, and while nothing too unique, both the dishes and the coffee were tasty.

Although coffee is a bit expensive, 1€ extra for alternative milk this place is a gem. Waitresses are really friendly and food is awesome. I had a tunna sandwich for breakfast and then the daily menu which is only 7.99€ . Highly recommendable.

Kūkotava is a renowned café in Riga, known for its delightful French-inspired viennoiserie and patisserie. The charming establishment offers a wide array of cakes, pies, pastries, and baked goods. Recently expanded to include salads and sandwiches, Kūkotava has become a popular spot for breakfast among locals. The elegant interior perfectly complements the beauty of their offerings.
Very nice cafe. The smell of cake and butter when you enter is fantastic. Great coffee A very nice selection of cake. Friendly and fast service. Great place to have a coffee break

I still have the first memory of coming to this cafe last year January, on a very cold winter. Everything seemed so lifeless and gray in Latvia until I found this place. The smell of croissants and coffee and very nice music that goes along with the atmosphere completely changed the mood of my day. Not just pastries and salad are good, but also the cakes are demuring. I personally recommend the traditional cake Napoleon. I have tried in many different cafes in Latvia to compare the taste. However, none of them has won over Kūkotava yet. The locals have known this place since long, while nowadays many tourists come as well to enjoy brunch or dessert after a meal. Hope you go and give yourself a nice treat. Never bad to start a day with a sweet cake and a warm coffee🍰☕️

I’ve always loved the sweets from this place — everything I’ve tried before has been delicious. That’s why I was so excited to visit the new branch on Antonias 11. Unfortunately, this time I was really disappointed. The pastry I tasted was rubbery, as if it had been baked days ago, and the lemon cream had no lemon flavor or aroma at all. Sadly, it felt like money wasted(

During our trip, we kept coming back to this place — both to their dessert shop and their gourmet deli. The desserts are absolutely wonderful, and the deli is perfect if you’re looking for a quick but delicious lunch or light dinner. They have amazing salads with avocado, shrimp, tuna, or duck, plus tasty quiches and many other options. The coffee is excellent as well. It’s a lovely spot to sit both indoors and outdoors when the weather is nice. We stayed nearby for three days and ended up visiting every single day — and even grabbed some snacks to take home with us. Prices are very reasonable, and whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, savory, or just a little bite to go, this place is definitely worth a visit.
Juste L — Google review
Exceptional Croissant in the City Centre — France, Step Aside In the first paragraph, the heart is secure, free to love, and the rest is limitless peace. That’s exactly how I felt biting into this croissant — in the middle of the city, yet completely transported. Forget Paris or Rome. This almond croissant was filled with rich, authentic almond paste — the kind you’d find in an elegant wedding cake, not the diluted stuff served across most of Europe. Baked to perfection: crisp shell, tender center, no excess butter or raw chewiness. The coffee? Strong, rich, and full of personality. A proper roast that lingers. Only downside? The service. When I asked for soy milk, I got a blunt “no” with no follow-up. No smile. No suggestion. For a city full of tourists, that moment lacked grace. Still — for the pastry alone, it’s a must. Pure craftsmanship in the city centre. France, tapisols.

I loveeeee this place! Found this small cafe accidentally during our walk through the old city Riga. The atmosphere is nice and elegant. Too bad they have small space, because it’s basically always full during our stay. I hope they will extent the place. Cruffin is crispy on the outside and soft fluffy on the inside. We took the pistachio, and I love that the filling is not too sweet. I personally usually don’t like this kind of filling because it’s always too sweet and thick. But that’s not the case for this one. That’s why I really love it. They even have matcha and prosecco at the same time. Perfect! And the lady is nice.

I was completely delighted after visiting your establishment, it is very stylish, very tasty, just an aesthetic and taste 👌🏻 I was impressed by the interior, a nice work, not typical for coffee shops and bakeries, but it emphasizes the idea of your concept of a carafe - something special. Because in essence, this entire entourage is just a wrapper for your dessert. Let's move on to the taste. So. It is tasty, it feels that the products used are of high quality and therefore, no, 5 euros is not expensive for this product. I ordered pistachio. Super delicate, super pistachio and natural taste, in combination with the crispy crust of the carafe, it is something unreal, and add a cup of coffee to it and all life is beautiful. I think I found the recipe for happiness.

Great place to get food and coffee early in the morning ☕️ Authentic and freshly made, you can see them preparing it right in the shop! Really enjoyed their cabbage wrap/pancake(?) and oat milk cappuccino, actually went there 3 times even though I was only in Riga for 4 mornings 😍👍🏻
Arthur C — Google review
The atmosphere of the place is truly pleasant and nicely designed, with a wide selection of cakes that look very tempting at first glance. However, the impression was somewhat diminished by the service – the staff was not particularly friendly, and the cappuccino was served too hot, which didn’t leave the best impression. Among the pastries, I would highlight the cheese rolls, which were very tasty and worth recommending, while the bacon rolls fell short of expectations. Overall, the café has potential and a good selection, but the quality of service could certainly be improved

Everything looked really tasty, and I had a hard time choosing what to eat. I picked a cake with the poppy seeds. It was delicious and not too sweet. In the end I decided to get a cherry tart to go. Now I'm sorry I didn't get a strudel, so I'm definitely coming back.

Convenient location, pastries are passable only, they look better than they taste. Unfortunately, the service is terrible. The staff behind the counter is frankly rude. Nirvana is a charming vegan cafe located on Gertrudes Street, offering a daily-changing menu with an emphasis on fresh, nutrient-rich dishes. The restaurant prides itself on not using sugar in their desserts and cooking at low temperatures to preserve the food's nutrients. The cozy atmosphere and friendly English-speaking staff add to the appeal of this hidden gem in Riga's downtown area.
I love this place! The food was fantastic! Fresh and made with love. There were so many ingredients in every dish. Fresh sprouts seeds, fresh vegetables and fruit, delicious sauce and dressings. I’ve been trying to recreate it at home and it’s impossible. I would go there everyday. The staff are friendly and speak English. Prices were very reasonable.

This is a MUST-visit restaurant! I love their concept and the food just makes me feel so good inside out! I shared the “Nirvana plate” with a friend and the amount was good enough, considering we weren’t extremely hungry. Delicious cake that made me so happy to try, especially as someone who’s allergic to lactose and can rarely eat cakes! Friendly staff too :) If I go back to Riga, I’d workout a doubt go back here too!

This place is AMAZING, words cannot describe how much I love it. They have three daily options for main dishes and you can also mix it, and several cake options. Food tastes amazing, healthy and is all vegan. 100/10 for me, a pity I don’t live in Riga and can’t go here everyday. The vibes are also unmatched, with amazing chill music. And main dish + dessert were like 13.50€

Lovely local vibe vegetarian cafe with vegan options. We chose the beetroot soup, vegetable pancake and panna cotta style dessert. Service was slow at first. We waited at the desk, staff kept passing us but no service for around 5-10 mins of waiting there.
Priya C — Google review
I liked Nirvana before for their conscious approach towards nutrition, spiritual ambiance, and overall quality offering of food. I have to say it’s more of an acquired taste; not all dishes are extraordinarily delicious, but they are well prepared. However, the last visit has changed my opinion. Today they had their version of Tom Yum on the lunch menu. I have a newly discovered allergy to cashews, so I don’t yet carry an epi-pen but make sure to check ingredients. Neither their Facebook page nor the menu on the physical board had cashews listed. They mention allergens for each dish, but nuts were not indicated for this soup. Overall, the cashier/waitress was not rude; her demeanor was generally positive. However, I was frustrated with the way the allergy issue was handled: it felt like a total lack of care. When I approached her about the amount of cashews in the soup, the first thing she replied with was that I should have told them I have an allergy. How could I do that if I had no idea their specific “Tom Yum” had cashews? Not typical, for sure. At least she offered to ask the cook about it, only to discover the one who made it had already left. In the end, I asked her to forward the information to the employees in charge of menu management. Nut allergies are extremely serious and even one or two nuts can cause anaphylaxis and death, and it’s very easy for a client to not notice them in their dish. Listing allergens accurately is crucial for any restaurant. I get that it might have been an honest mistake; however, no apology, refund, or at least basic human concern was offered. I was only saved by the fact that my allergy attack this time wasn’t as severe as before, but that might not end up being the case for others.
Talia K — Google review
Just amazing! Vegan and gluten-free. We enjoyed our meal a lot.
Anne D — Google review
Beautiful cosy place, really nice vegan food. Great book selection to spend time reading! The cake was delicious but the english translation of the ingredients was not complete on the board and left out some things, which did not taste bad, but would have been nice to know beforehand :) The prices are really okay for this food quality. A few things that could be improved: - lower a little bit the volume of the music; it was a bit too loud for comfortable conversation - maybe mention that there is banana in your smoothies when you name the tastes; I have a banana allergy and it was an uncomfortable surprise...

My go-to place for lunch in Riga. I've been here three times and it never disappoints. The menu is very simple: main dish, raw dish and a soup, which change every day (current offer on their Facebook). There is also a daily dessert. The menu is displayed on a board, in both Latvian and English. Everything is vegan. The service is great, prices are great, the food comes out super fast and the atmosphere is so calming that you really want to eat here every day. The food is yummy, filling and extremely healthy.

🌿✨ LACI – A Soulful Slice of Latvian Tradition in the Heart of Riga ✨🌿 There are bakeries… and then there’s Laci. Right in central Riga, this beloved spot has been baking with passion since 1993—and you can taste that history in every bite. This isn’t fast food. This is slow, thoughtful, handmade magic. The pastries? Divine. From classic Latvian bakes to more creative, non-traditional delights, everything is crafted by hand. Fresh, flaky, buttery, rich—it’s almost impossible to choose. So don’t. Just get more than one. But Laci is more than a bakery. It’s an experience. They’ve created a boutique-style confectionery corner, stocked with their own branded line of: • 🍪 Artisan biscuits • 🍓 Dried fruits • 🍞 Rustic bread • 🍯 Jams • 🍵 Teas All beautifully packaged, perfect for gifts—or spoiling yourself. Then there’s the cozy cafeteria, where you can enjoy your treats inside with a warm coffee or tea. And yes—plus plus—they also have an outdoor seating area! A rare gem in Riga where you can sit under the sky, enjoy the breeze, and people-watch while munching on excellence. 💫 Everything about Laci feels real, grounded, and timeless. In a world of shortcuts, they’ve stayed true to craft. So if you’re in Riga—go. And if you’re not—add it to your list. Because places like Laci? They remind us that the best things in life are still baked fresh daily.

A True Gem in the Heart of Riga! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment I stepped into One Cacao Coffee Shop, I knew I had found somewhere truly special. This isn't just a coffee shop; it's an experience, a warm embrace for the senses and the soul. The atmosphere is wonderfully serene and inviting, a perfect little haven to escape the everyday hustle and bustle. But the real magic? The cacao! Oh, the glorious cacao! Forget everything you thought you knew about hot chocolate. One Cacao offers an exploration into the rich, authentic world of raw cacao, and it's an absolute revelation. My drink was an elixir of pure bliss – deeply flavorful, incredibly nourishing, and crafted with such evident passion and care. It felt both like a treat and something genuinely good for me, a rare and delightful combination. Beyond the star of the show, the plant-based treats are simply divine. Each bite was a testament to the quality of ingredients and the creativity of the makers. It's so refreshing to find a place that pours so much love into every detail, from the bespoke beverages to the delightful, guilt-free sweets. The team here clearly loves what they do, and their enthusiasm is infectious. They are more than happy to guide you through their offerings, making you feel like a cherished guest. One Cacao is more than just five stars; it’s a heartwarming, soul-soothing journey into the world of cacao, right in Riga. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly unique, uplifting, and utterly delicious experience. I’m already dreaming of my next visit!

Anyone who has ever tried real cacao ceremony in Bali will know how far this is from what is should be. The consistency is far (miles far away) from what is should be - very watery. Tastes like cacao powder with warm water. :( and all drinks are made only with oat milk. Sadly, no other options to choose from.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the vibe of this place! A very calm and grounded energy and always filled with beautiful, conscious people. Definitely best cacao I have ever tried. It has specific taste/spice. Atmosphere was unique , and most of all best service by Kristina. She tells you history of cacao where it comes and how they made it. Also they have events each Thursday evening which you can come and enjoy musics (they post in Instagram). No words can express how great is this place. This is the best vegan food I’ve ever had in my life. Even though I’m a non vegan person I loved it. Fantastic food. I asked the owner and chef to customise my order and they exceeded my expectations by even adding pomegranate seeds and blueberries to the salad. We had a pleasant conversation while I waited. It's more of a take out than a restaurant as there are only 2 small tables and a bit hidden away though still on the main street but the quality of food and how nice they were definitely makes up for it. Definitely recommend for vegans and vegetarians!💚

The vegan desserts are almost too pretty to eat and made from such pure ingredients. This is the most wonderful “medicine” and contributes to healing. I wish I could eat here every day. And the prices seem almost too low for such a good value and fresh healthy food.

We visited this place based on mutual reviews, and let me just tell you - this was amazing and definitely most closest vegan burger/kebab I’ve had to real meat one! The size of the thing was ginormous, my one and only meat lover boyfriend was full, and let me tell you, that is some goal to reach! Definitely would recommend 100000%, we’ll most certainly will return again!

Walking into this small vegan shop is like stepping into a sanctuary of deliciousness. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sweet treats wafted through the air, instantly captivating my senses. As I perused the selection of vegan candies and snacks, my taste buds danced with excitement. The flavors were so unique and well-crafted, it was hard to choose just one. But then I saw the kebabs, and I knew I had to try them. Made with fresh and flavorful ingredients, they were truly a work of art. I also couldn't help but notice the owner's dedication and enthusiasm for the products. It was clear that this was more than just a store, it was a passion project. If you're looking for a place where you can indulge in delicious vegan treats and feel good about supporting a passionate and friendly owner, this is the place for you. It's not just a stop during a busy day, it's an experience that will leave you feeling satisfied.

Bar 'Riga Black Magic' is a must-visit spot in Latvia's Old Town, offering the country's national drink, Black Balsam. This traditional herbal liqueur is made from 24 natural ingredients and has a bittersweet taste. The bar's interior exudes an old-world charm with vintage decor and cozy seating, making it a perfect place to enjoy Balsam cocktails and sweet treats.
This is a most beautiful cafe for a snack & drink in a luxurious environment. We had hot chocolate & a few truffle balls. Shame we were too full to try more, but it was a real delight to immerse oneself in such classic charm. Would totally recommend it.
Lorna W — Google review
Perfect place for trying black balsam, I ordered some kind of menu with different flavours- highly recommend this option. Ladies working there was super nice, the vibe and the place is stunning. Be careful- the black balsam is indeed a black magic 😁
Anna O — Google review
Probably a bit touristy but that's the old town for ya. Was fun to try the different balsams on offer in a dark, quirky but fun atmosphere. Definitely should have tried the chocolates but that will be for next time. Just a fun little experience even if it's catered towards tourists.
Angela S — Google review
Gorgeous building with incredibly detailed interior architecture filled with the warmth of candles, old timber, brass, cast iron, artisan chocolates, locally made drinks and friendly staff. OVERALL: Highly recommend. I went back a few times and strongly suggest it as a great tucked away place where you can hear and hold conversations with larger groups of friends/family... Easily seating 10+ or couples or even as a unique business meeting environment.
Louise — Google review
Visited in Sep 2025 The Black Magic bar in old town is the most popular bar in Riga due to its menu full of items made using Riga Black Balsam. They have a full cocktail menu where Balsam is one of the ingredients in the drinks, and also have food items where Balsam is a component. We ordered a couple of cocktails (the Black Mojito and the Fresh Black Cranberry) both of which were good. Also ordered a few chocolate truffles which I would also recommend ordering, as they were fantastic. However, if you want to buy bottles of Balsam, you’re better off buying it from a supermart (Rimi) then here because the prices are cheaper in the supermart. Service was fine. We did not have a reservation and did a walk in, and were able to get a seat immediately. But this place can get a bit crowded, and therefore visiting during peak hours may be better with a reservation. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to the Black Magic Bar when you’re in Riga for trying a few cocktails.
Avijeet S — Google review
This place looks amazing inside, and the atmosphere gets even better with the candlelight. I went in to make a short break from exploring the city and it was an experience in itself. I really enjoyed sitting and relaxing here for a bit. The only downside is that the truffles did not meet my expectations, so I would suggest skipping them altogether and just enjoying a cup of coffe.
Ji J — Google review
Black magic and divine pralines ✨🍫 I walked in by chance… and left enchanted. Here, “Black Magic” isn’t just a name – it’s exactly what happens when you see shelves of Riga Balsam-infused pralines, enjoy a fabulous dessert in a vintage setting, and suddenly feel like a character in a gothic novel with a sweet ending. The vibe? Straight out of a storybook – warm lights, old bricks, servers in vintage outfits, and the scent of fine chocolate in the air. The desserts? A poetic mix of textures and flavors – especially those with the famous Riga Black Balsam, adding a touch of aroma and mystery. The service? Friendly, fast, and effortless. If you’re in Riga and want to treat yourself or bring home a heart-stealing gift – stop by here. You’ve been warned: it’s addictive! 🖤🍒🍫
Elandra K — Google review
This place is themed and a tourist hotspot, but it is done well, and the staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is celebratory. They specialise in sweet treats and the local drink Balsam - try the cherry before the classic to ease you in. Can't recommend enough, real candles, a wonderful aesthetic and friendly welcome - what more could you want. Plenty of seats inside and through the back.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful donut experience, look no further than Ze Donats! This vibrant spot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, known for its eye-catching array of colorful donuts. The hazelnut cream flavor stands out as a crowd-pleaser, but with so many inventive options available, it's hard to choose just one. Ze Donats has recently expanded its offerings by providing sweet delivery services right to your doorstep through foodio.
Great place. Fresh and tasty donates, very good coffee, nice atmosphere with a homey tables and sofas

What a nice surprise in Riga! The doughnuts had the perfect texture and flavor. We found the atmosphere laid back and friendly service. We will definitely come back
Bryan H — Google review
A cozy donut shop in the Art Nouveau Quarters of Riga. I ordered a cappuccino and two donuts, caramel, and hazelnut. Both donuts were incredibly delicious, soft, and paired perfectly with my coffee.
Hasan D — Google review
The donuts tasted like store-bought, or even worse. Some parts were dry, others seemed undercooked. There was no filling inside; the only flavor came from the glaze, which had a distinctly chemical taste and way too much sugar. The overall impression was like someone spread something sweet on un-toasted white toast bread. Donuts from Rimi or Lidl are much tastier and cheaper. I used to like this place few years ago, but resent experience was disappointing.
Elizabeth I — Google review
This place is amazing and if you like donuts you should check it out. The service was great, the worker behind the counter was really nice and helpful. It was pretty cheap, especially for the quality, the donuts were tasty and soft and you could tell they were fresh, and the cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had in Latvia and it was cheaper than other places. The location is central and if you sit by the window you can enjoy the Art Nouveau buildings.

I arrived 15 minutes before closing time and was able to grab the last few flavours(strawberry/lemon). They were really delicious, and I think I only paid 2.70€ No pictures, though, because I ate them all immediately! The staff was super nice and polite :)

The cafe was completely empty and the waitress still couldn’t clean any tables. I ordered a tea and it was ok, the cup was really big which I liked, but the service- no hello or goodbye, just - what you want. Also I was sitting on the couch and it was too low to eat something

Best donut shop in Latvia. Here you can find a large choice of different and tasty donuts. Cafe has it's own style, with colorful taste. Greate place to go with kids, as they have a lot of board games, or just to drink a coffee while working. Bezē confectionery and culinary delights is a popular bakery in Riga known for its delectable Latvian honey cake. The pastry shop offers an array of sweets centered around meringue, along with freshly baked pastries, savory buns, and pies. While some visitors found the cakes and pastries to be good but not exceptional, others raved about the delicious honey cake, eclairs, and cream pastries.
One of the best cafes in Riga in my opinion. Visited for a few days and couldn’t find many places with the quality of this one! It has salty and sweet choices. The cream of the honey cake could be improved, but overall it’s good. Great place, I definitely recommend.
Sofia — Google review
Very much recommended. Quality is top and prices are reasonable. First had the avenue beze and it was delicious with walnuts, cream, raspberry, beze etc. Gave it a delicious taste mixture, definitely worth the money. After that I had the apple maizite that also was amazing and very tasty. Crumbles, dough, apple, cinnamon and also cream. And for 1.20€ not to believe. I will for sure come back and try a lot more of their things. Definitely a big thumbs up and recommendation.

I really liked this place. It’s cozy and beautifully set up, with a pleasant view and comfortable tables. The honey cake was delicious, the service was excellent, and even the restroom was very clean. Located right in the center with reasonable prices — a very nice spot overall.

I am a frequent visitor of this little cafe in the center of Riga, have many favorites in their offer. This time I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday and it was a true star! Beautiful execution, fresh and fruity taste. Would be better if a little bit less sweet, but it is my personal taste. Truly recommend!

Muusu Terase is a charming restaurant located in an 18th-century townhouse in the Old Town, close to St. Peters Church. The Nordic interior features exposed brick walls, wood accents, metals, and plenty of green plants along with warming fur blankets. With its opening on the banks of the Daugava River, Muusu Terase is quickly gaining recognition as a top dining spot. The wooden terrace offers a delightful setting for summer evenings overlooking the marina.
A nice place to hang around. Fine music, casual ambience and a tremendous sunset.

Good atmosphere, singing birds, very frienfly staff, bit pricy, meat was ok. Very tasty desert.
Robert M — Google review
Great location. Nice views. Friendly and service minded staff. The food was ok, a bit disappointing.
Jørgen E — Google review
The food is really great, simple and well executed with seasonal ingredients. The cocktails were good and included classics and modern variations. The wine list is a little pricey for Latvia, but not too bad for a high end place. However the service left a bit too be desired, they managed to be both too attentive and not be there when we wanted to order or pay.
Alexander H — Google review
We were there on a wedding buffet. Food was excellent, waiters professional, friendly and kind. Chef even brought wedding cake himself. Manager showed some skills - organised staff, tables and snacks that were always fresh on the table. Thank you! Great place with nice view and around 20 parking spaces.
Dmitrijs Z — Google review
A great place for a summer evening on a wooden terrace overlooking the marina. The food is generally quite good, although for the gourmets out there - you're here for the AMBIENCE, so don't expect outright miracles from the chef. Service is a bit edgy and could use some finishing touches, but overall a positive impression. A bit less magical in the autumn-winter-spring season (the "long grey dark", how they'd call it in the Baltics).
Andrii S — Google review
Location is excellent, next to yacht port, overlooking river Daugava. Food is good, service - excellent. Unfortunately Friday, when I was here, there was a DJ and his music preferences was very strange. Boom, boom, boom and very loud. This is romantic place and not a club. Unfortunately this was my first and last visit to Muusu Terase.
Valdis A — Google review
Looks good and centrally located. Unfortunately the food is very bland, seemingly without identity in a place that seeks to highlight local produce. We had a milky burrata, a smoked duck without smoke and a carrot sause tasting like soft ketchup. The main of tuna was decently done, but left no memories worth a note.

The restaurant offers guilt-free sweets like Bounty bars and goji balls, along with vegetarian and vegan-friendly options. Their menu features healthy bowls, burgers, and dishes with fish. Customers appreciate the fresh food but suggest improvements in terms of sauce portions. The restaurant also provides gluten-free options and a welcoming atmosphere.
Lovely vegan experience we had today! We ordered the falafel burgers with sweet potatoes and smoothie. Super tasty food and first quality ingredients. Service is quick and very gentle. Price was okay. Will go back for sure!

I liked the place but there were some things they can improve. Food was fresh and good but mine lacked some sauce (don’t get me wrong- there were some but it wasn’t enough) I had tortilla (made out of chickpeas) and my partner took poke bowl which was really good. The upside is that they have a lot of gluten free options and nice atmosphere. Staff could be more friendly/ helpful. I also liked their little shop corner with lots of gf and lactose free options.
Pille A — Google review
I was completely blown away by this place! I loved the atmosphere in there, the staff was super friendly and immediately switched to English without a problem and showed us the English menu naturally, we didn't even have to ask for it. (By the way, I think it's really cool that there is nutritional info on your website! Knowing the calories, macros and iron/fiber/omega3 is really helpful for someone who wants to eat as healthy as possible. ) The food arrived really quickly and everything was freshly made and tasted amazing. I had the strawberry gazpacho and the red curry rice noodles, which I actually tried because I've never heard of a strawberry/tomato combination. It blew my mind, I loved it! My boyfriend had the falafel burger if I remember correctly, and a berry smoothie which we sadly didn't take a photo of. Must have also been freshly made, it was great, too! To take it even further they had lots of snack/protein bars, cookies, even supplements like spirulina or even chia protein and much more. I didn't buy anything there, but I had one of their bars at the airport the morning after, because they sold them there. I'm really happy that I found out that they have an online shop haha! I know, this all sounds too good to be true - but in my case there is truly nothing negative I could say. This place has won my heart and stomach and when I come back to Riga one day y'all know where to find me at lunch time!
Cynder A — Google review
Amazing restaurant! The food is not only healthy, but super delicious! They also provide nutrition information and offer a variety of gluten free, lactose free and vegan options. The takeout works just fine without compromising the quality or taste. The staff is super helpful and kind. I also recommend getting their all natural cookies, chips, granola or snack bars from the shop.
Klara — Google review
This was my first time trying the beyond burger. I thought it was great, if I didn't know it was vegan I wouldn't have questioned it. A great alternative to meat. This restaurant was really good, with a nice atmosphere and great staff. I would recommend.
Centretard T — Google review
Good idea, however poor execution... In places like this customers are often trying to avoid different products (like lentils, garlic or others). When we asked to prepare the dish without beans and lentils, staff rolled her eyes and took the order... just to bring the dish with beans... No attempt to satisfy client even in case of staff fault... Recipe of same dishes varied every day (3 times)... Hope the owner will find this feedback valuable.
Marat_Vergazov — Google review
Perfect for vegans or fitness enthusiasts. The menus literally shows the macronutrient content contained within each dish. I wish all restaurants did this as it would make keeping track of calorie sources so much easier. The food is fresh and the smoothies are refreshing. The staff are very kind and well mannered. The prices are also very reasonable.

Loved this place that I visited a few times during my trip. Pistachio croissant is a top fav (more on the sweet side, similar to an almond croissant) followed by the cardamon bun. Didn’t try the savoury side but I’m sure it’s lovely too. Highly recommend.
Dontwaitdate — Google review
This place has an amazing atmosphere, with a beautiful interior and a warm, cozy vibe. I especially appreciated the indie pop/rock music playing in the background, it created a relaxed and enjoyable mood as I had my late breakfast and flat white. One of the highlights was the open workspace, where you can watch the staff baking fresh pastries and bread. It added a nice, authentic touch to the experience. The coffee was of good quality, though the cup was a bit on the small side. The food was delicious, I particularly loved the salted pastry with tomato and mozzarella, which was both flavorful and satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our coffees arrived very quickly, which we appreciated. We paid 24 euros for three pastries and two flat whites. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the quality, atmosphere, and service, it felt well worth it. A very enjoyable experience overall.
ZinhoDK — Google review
Most of pastries in this bakery are sweet, so if you want a savoury one, I would not recommend. At my first visit I got poppy seed croissant roll. It was pretty good but kinda boring. There were not much poppy seeds in the pastry. 7/10. The second time I was there I got pistachio croissant. It was very sweet. The filling was upsetting - it was not creamy, more like homemade icing (I could feel sugar crystals). So, if you are not into really sweet things, I wouldn’t recommend. 6/10. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Pretty busy both times I was here, but that’s not a problem for me.
Alise K — Google review
Very nice, clean, and modern bakery with high-quality baked goods and drinks. The price is perhaps on the slightly high-end, but it is worth it for the quality that you get. There are also separate male/female toilets available at the cafe.

Great place! My husband and I ordered a cake here for our anniversary. The staff was really friendly, and even though it was short notice, they managed to process our order. The cake was delicious and looked lovely. It had a bit too much icing for our taste, but that’s just a matter of preference. Overall, we had an awesome experience!

For a place that promotes it self as a coffee place, the cappuccino is made way too hot. It seams that milk is close to 100 degrees hot, so that’s not good. The cupcake is really good though. Atmosphere is also really cool. Staff is nice.

Tried to be stylish but unfortunately designed cold and testeless interrior. Most of cakes are built on the same brownie base - excessively sweet is hardly eatable.

Yummmmmmm! I’ve been waiting for Fika to re-open and they didn’t disappoint! Curbside eating, a few beers and ciders available as well.

I’m a medical student and often study in cafés around Riga, always ordering food and drinks. This was by far the worst experience me and my friends have had in six years here. One of the staff members was openly rude from the moment we walked in, the way she took our orders was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Even though me and my friends were sitting quietly, working, and had all ordered something, she started taking photos of us without our permission. When confronted, she refused to delete them, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. She then told us we were “not allowed to use laptops for more than 2 hours,” despite there being no sign or rule posted anywhere. Me and my friends did absolutely nothing wrong, yet were treated with disrespect the entire time. Unprofessional, disrespectful , and a very unwelcoming environment. Me and my friends will not be returning and I will be sure to spread the word among other students so they know what to expect.

The dessert (brownie) was dry and the cream on top was also dry. But worst of all was the music. It was so loud I could barely hear my own thoughts. So please Fika if you read this, lower the music. Also staff is not very nice.

The cafe is nice and modern. I give just 3 stars because the cacao ( hot chocolate as we call it in USA and UK) was very plain and ordinary. Not the best I’ve had. My personal favorite is the “Fruit Paradise” with Nutella — absolutely delicious! It’s a cozy, welcoming spot that keeps growing and coming up with new flavors — now even savory ones too! Definitely a must-visit place in town! ✨ Thank you for creating such a warm and lovely atmosphere every time! 💕

Was really tasty. The nutella classic one is much bigger, almost twice and is cheaper, only 5€. There is WC at the back, and the staff is really friendly and speaks English. Definitely coming back.

Mulberry Bakery in Riga is a charming spot to enjoy a delightful breakfast or indulge in exceptional pastries. The bakery offers a cozy and tasteful interior, making it an inviting place to savor some delicious treats. While the prices may not be the most budget-friendly, the quality of their pastries is truly remarkable. Visitors rave about the pistachio dessert, describing it as divine and a must-try. The staff are friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service even during busy times.
Best scrambled eggs you will find in Riga! Tasty, filling, and simply so satisfying. Quick service with decent staff. Coffee also very delicious. Prices are on the higher side but worth it in my opinion. Good amount of seating both inside and outside. Looking forward to trying other options from their breakfast menu!
Marta L — Google review
A few years ago it was a great place, I don’t know what happened, but it’s not the same anymore… The service is absolutely useless: the waitress took a very long time to bring the menu and didn’t take the order for a long time. Waiting for the food was also veeery long. The portions have become smaller and the prices higher. The appearance of the food doesn’t look very presentable. I was shocked to see a dirty sink and a dirty floor in a place like this. They present themselves as a fancy bakery/cafe, but in reality they’re lacking aesthetics, good quality and politeness.
Anastasia C — Google review
We used to visit Mulberry on Ausekļa street quite often, but unfortunately, the atmosphere there has noticeably deteriorated lately. One particularly unpleasant experience involved a person who appeared to be either the administrator or the manager - it doesn’t really matter who exactly. Swearing at staff members in front of guests is completely unacceptable. Such behavior shows a clear lack of respect for both the employees and the customers. I genuinely feel sorry for the staff who have to work in such conditions. The service has definitely declined, but given the management style, it’s not surprising. The food is tasty, but nothing exceptional. Prices are reasonable for the quiet center. The final straw was a situation where, due to a large number of guests, one of the female guests accidentally bumped into a table, and a vase broke. The manager’s reaction - shouting across the entire restaurant - came off as completely unprofessional and humiliating.
Glazer H — Google review
We visited Mulberry on Sunday and enjoyed coffee and dessert. However, I was surprised that when I asked for a glass of water, I was told this is not provided. In many places, serving water with coffee and sweets is seen as a small but important gesture of care and hospitality. Even a simple glass of tap water, especially when a guest asks for it, makes the experience feel more welcoming. It would be wonderful if Mulberry could consider this, as it really adds to the comfort of your guests and leaves a warmer impression.
Tatjana K — Google review
Nice cafe. Wifi available. Extremely overpriced… probably could find someplace better in Riga than this. Service was okay. Coffee was not good but the cake was a hit better. They are beautifully made, but just too expensive (6€+ for a small cake??).
Kat — Google review
The sourdough bread, croissants, and pastries are good. Unfortunately, the service is terrible. You can stand at the counter for five minutes hoping someone will notice you, while several staff members are busy doing something else. And it's happening almost every time. Great bakery, but the service really ruins the experience.
Artis B — Google review
Quality of service has dramatically dropped to the level when you have to choose another venue and just skip Mulberry at any cost. Owners - you got to make people you have newly employed actually notice customers and move around, not just stand. This is a disaster... Food is great though. But there are plenty other options around.
Jevgenijs T — Google review
Tried something new today. A burnt pistachio eclair with a poor quality of chunky cream, is not what I expected. The regular buns are still good

Laima is a hidden treasure nestled within the vibrant underground music scene of Riga, Latvia. This venue stands out for its eclectic programming that showcases live performances from up-and-coming artists across various genres, including indie and electronic music. Each event at Laima is thoughtfully curated to ensure a rich tapestry of sounds that captivates audiences. In addition to its musical offerings, Laima also embodies the spirit of Latvian culture through its delightful confectionery options nearby.
Fence confectionery with awesome choice of Latvian sweets, chocolates and cakes. Pity this place is far from touristic center of city, as it would be a big attraction. Prices are moderate, yet always few products are a viable with 20-30% discount. Beside sweets, spot offers tasty coffee and Latvian Balsams.

One of treasures - outside was not convincing, but the food, yummiiiiii. 'Home made' type of food, every day there is something different - it is not that you will find the same food every day; having daily offers and lunch offers for good price. Nestled in the heart of the bakery scene, Foxy's Bake Shop is a charming family-owned French bakery that has captured the hearts of many with its impressive array of vegan-friendly delights. With an astonishing 90% of their menu dedicated to plant-based options, this delightful spot is a haven for vegans and those seeking healthier pastry choices without sacrificing flavor. Each bite reveals rich and satisfying tastes, making it hard to resist indulging in their delectable offerings.
Fantastic bakery, great family business. The croissants, especially the almond croissants are marvellous. The apple turnovers and pain aus were great too and other cakes and tid bits are worth buying. The plant based coffee is good too. The service was fantastic and the lady behind the counter was really friendly. Location was great and prices were fantastic too. Overall I couldn't have been more pleased and I will be back when I next visit Riga.
Julian F — Google review
Such a cute and excellent bakery in the heart of Riga! The owners are super friendly and sweet, and took the time to explain all the pastries to us. One of the owners is a French pastry chef so we knew the pastries would be excellent, and we were right! I got a buttery, flaky almond croissant which was fabulous, and a cappuccino with oat milk. Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!
Prachi J — Google review
Just go here. I have been to 35 countries and this has the biggest range of tasty vegan pastries at the best prices I have seen. And to add to that, the owners are some of the kindest people I have spoken to. They talked to us about our journey, languages, and gave us other vegan restaurant recommendations written in a very nice sharpie pen. They are a couple, and the man is a french pastry chef who started creating vegan french pastries so that his latvian partner could enjoy them. This was my first impression of Riga and Latvia in general, and it was just what I needed. I will always come back here when I'm in the country :)

Foxy’s Bake Shop truly stands out in the bustling bakery scene. The first thing you'll notice is their expansive selection of plant-based and vegan options, comprising a remarkable 90% of their menu. This is a dream come true for vegans or anyone looking to indulge in healthier pastry alternatives without compromising on taste. Each pastry I tried was delicious, bursting with flavors that are both rich and satisfying. What makes Foxy’s Bake Shop even more appealing are their affordable prices. It's rare to find such quality at a cost that doesn't break the bank, making it a go-to spot for regular visits. Additionally, the customer service here deserves a special mention. The staff are not only kind but also professional, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Foxy’s Bake Shop, especially for vegans or those exploring plant-based diets. Their commitment to quality, variety, and affordability, coupled with exceptional service, makes for a delightful culinary experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to give this gem a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

Edited: Although we moved to Vilnius now, this place is still a must visit one for me. Thank you for remembering your clients👋🤗 Previously: Today, while waiting for the bus, I found a lovely place with delicious pastry. They have just opened (reopened). I liked chouquettes and canelle since they were of the right aesthetic taste. The croissants were crispy and did not taste too buttery. The baguette's crispiness is awesome too and I like that it is not too sour. And I thank you for the treat as a welcoming treat for opening, the almond croissant suits my palate well. I will surely purchase it next time. Also, the staff is very welcoming. So, take your time to enjoy some pastry and drink ). As for me, I am doing that at home now.

Nestled in a cozy and modern space, The Ned is a charming cafe that offers an intimate setting to enjoy specialty coffee and bean-to-bar chocolate. With a focus on quality, the cafe serves pour-overs brewed on a state-of-the-art machine, featuring unique flavors like cranberry, fudge, vanilla, hazelnut, plum, and blood orange.
The service was good, and I appreciated that they offer single-origin chocolate. However, I was a bit disappointed that they only had milk chocolate and no dark chocolate options. The coffee was delicious—I had an Americano, but it was prepared like filtered coffee, so I'm unsure why they labeled it as Americano, as filter coffee would have been a better fit. One downside is that the place is quite small, and since it was empty, I felt a bit uncomfortable staying, so I opted for takeaway.
Max G — Google review
Aesthetically pleasing coffee/chocolate spot with a well-thought-out design and attention to detail. However, the service was a bit slow.
Anna J — Google review
Such a lovely little spot where every detail has been thought through. Wonderful service from the barista, who was really friendly and kind. Love the fact that the cafe is tucked away from the main streets of the city centre while still remaining central, definite adds to the charm.
Lauma B — Google review
This café is really overrated. Ordered two americanos, got them in paper mugs without even being asked if it's takeaway or not. Coffee was just ok, definitely not worth a slightly higher price than some other average place. All that would be perfectly normal. But the clearly unpleasant or even angry attitude of the person working at the café made the whole short visit just ridiculous. Why open a café if you don't like having customers? Just change the name to The End and close this place down. Latvian people are not very friendly in general, but this was over the top.
Krzysztof Z — Google review
had the best a iced americano of my life here! super friendly chatty staff which you don’t find often in riga, and let me use their charger so a double slay. keep in mind - the cafe is quite small, so bigger tables to seat a larger company won’t be possible
Ieva — Google review
Actually one of the best coffees I have had in a while- cappuccino decaf was just perfect. It was a little loud inside with the music and as the place is small and I was there at an hour when it was quiet, it was a bit akward haha. Design is cute, great tables and an outdoor terrace. Don’t expect a nice view as the buildings on the street are very run down.

Vegetarian cafe and deli
Nestled within a Soviet-era building, Nata Cafe is a beloved gem in Riga that offers an inviting atmosphere and a delightful array of vegan and vegetarian dishes. This charming eatery, located on the first floor of a dance school, surprises visitors with its cozy vibe despite its unassuming exterior. The menu boasts an impressive selection including soy BBQ, pancakes, vibrant salads, and delectable desserts that cater to plant-based diets.
The setting is a little unusual, but it’s a lot more cosy than it looks from the outside. The staff is really nice and speaks fluently English. But of course you’re gonna be there for the food- which is really good. The best vegetarian place we found in the Baltic countries! It’s also very affordable.

A vegetarian eatery located on the 1st floor of a dance school. The building is from the Soviet times, but the food they serve and the atmosphere created in this very ugly looking building is nice. I haven't tried everything, but what I have I liked. I will come back for more. My absolute favourite is the pistachio almond croissant (if it is the same days). I tried the previous days (sold separately with extra discount) and I could taste that - dryer than the fresh one. Tasty crumble cookies. They also have available not sweet things but also croissants with different meats and extra ingredients. Everything is made on the spot and clients are served by a really hospitable saleswomen. I felt welcomed here. Dining area is not huge - two tables inside and one outside. There are high stairs at the entrance so you have to work for your calories.
Gundars M — Google review
Ordered a variety of things: Buns with mushrooms - excellent! Top marks. Khachapuri basket - tastes better than it looks. It was satisfactory, though really small. Cottage cheese pocket - very very dry, not much of taste. Anthill cake - had to throw out, it is not an anthill cake, not even close. The crumbles are too big and not evenly spread, the ingredients are not spread in balance; very oily (see picture). Rhubarb-strawberry curd cake - curd was good, the rest - not at all; too crunchy, too burnt on the sides; did not enjoy it at all.

(Translated by Google) I wanted so much and finally went in yesterday to buy muffins. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. I bought caramel buns and almond croissants, everything was hard (definitely not the first day's production). Of course, I didn't notice right away, because I took the bags by the edge. If I had noticed it in the bakery, I would have returned it immediately, but I noticed it when I was unpacking it at home. (Original) Tik ļoti vēlējos un beidzot vakar iebraucu nopirkt smalkmaizītes. Casa Nostra offers an authentic Italian experience with its simple and genuine interior. The traditional Tiramisu, made with Amaretto liqueur, mascarpone, eggs, sugar, coffee and Savoiardi biscuit, is served in charming glass jars. The Italian pizza is a standout with high-quality dough, cheese and sauce. While some may prefer more variety in toppings or a stronger tomato sauce flavor, the overall experience is excellent.
The pure "Italian pizza" experience may not be for everyone, but technically every part is excellent. Quality dough, cheese and sauce. Bread tastes good on its own, which is rare. Personally I prefer a little more taste to the tomato sauce and more topping variety. But that's subjective and otherwise it's objectively great. Note: this is pure takeaway - just a window where you order and then receive what you ordered.

Ice cream shop
Gelato Italia Riga is a delightful gelato spot in the city, offering a rich and creamy taste experience. Despite the limited flavor options, each one tried was delicious. The gelato is freshly prepared right in front of customers, adding to its appeal. The friendly service and great presentation make for an enjoyable visit. With its tasty and aromatic ice cream, Gelato Italia Riga stands out as one of the best spots for Italian gelato in Riga.
Your ice cream is the best! Creamy, rich, fatty, tasty and aromatic. Great presentation and friendly service. Coming back again when next time in Riga!
Kristina J — Google review
There is nothing wrong with the ice cream, it was OK, but the experience was mediocre at best. First of all, the shop stinks of cleaning detergent, which really did not make me very excited to eat the ice cream. Half of our group left because of that. Turns out the employees clean their hands with a cleaning spray between using the till and serving the ice cream. The idea of washing your hands is good, but just use water and soap instead of cleaning spray/disinfectant. Second, like many others have mentioned, the service was not great, felt like the employees were in a very bad mood.
Johanna C — Google review
Terrible ice cream. Probably the worst I’ve had in the recent past. Asked if I could taste and the server denied. Got a pistachio and a vanilla and both had a weird artificial taste. Threw my ice cream right at the shop and left. Do not recommend.
Arjun G — Google review
Went there with a group of friends to get an ice-cream and when we chose pistachio that was in the tub in front of us, the guy at the till said it is not available. I asked why a full tub of it is on display then and got a response - What's so hard to understand?! Plain rude. Wouldn't consider supporting a business where customers get treated so badly. Steer clear.
Dace P — Google review
Ok, not great. It doesn’t taste like high quality artisanal ice cream
George B — Google review
This is far from “italian gelato “, terrible ice cream quality, good artificial flavor! As every other review suggests, employers are in the worst mood and make an effort to bring the customer the worst experience possible. Besides that, how am I supposed to pick a flavor if a CANT TRY IT?
Toby L — Google review
I confirm, it stinks, ice-cream is below average, there is a mess inside. They expect you to speak English only. The employees doesn’t speak Latvian. Receipts are given upon request not by default. One off at most.

Martin's Bakery is a traditional pastry shop located near the Opera House and the Train Station. Despite the usual line, they serve customers quickly, making it a popular spot for locals to grab takeaway treats. The bakery offers a wide variety of Latvian cakes and sweets as well as classic Eastern European pastries at very reasonable prices compared to other gourmet or tourist-oriented establishments in the area.
Went there for a coffee and cake stop before heading to the airport. We had the Cappucino cake and cake tapas including chocolate cake, Vecrīga and the eclair. The cream in the Vecrīga was separated, but the taste was good. The other three cakes tasted really good. Furthermore, we bought some snack for our trip back home including cinnamon bun, chocolate bun and some small white bread with bacon inside. Everything was tasty! Nice place with a local atmosphere and very cheap prices. Recommendable.
Linda B — Google review
Little bakery with home touch service and friendly atmosphere. It is easy to find and open for all visitors. There is always customers inside because pastry is amazing, variety and flavours are impressive. Josephine is one of the best with cherries and European cranberries. Little eclairs are tasty but not what I expected. White chocolate eclair is very tasty and interesting. Do not take tables close to the cashier, you gonna be part of the line of hungry customers craving for some pastry and enviously looking at you. I cannot complain though, everything was really tasty. I bought a box of pastry with me to share with my friends, so really liking into this later today. Thank you

Cake and tea were ok but nothing fantastic, the service was not good though, I understand that they don’t speak good English but tourists also make your business good money so be polite… There was not much effort trying to understand me and I felt rushed to order, no smile, just coldness…

Here is placed near the city center. The staff are cute and oldie and also the cashier may speak english. The prices are cheap when compared to the rest pf EU (like Italy, Germany, Spain, even its markets). The tastes was awesome, I did not expect like that things with that price. Here is bit price/performance place, here is cheap place. As a dessert, I can say that it fell below my expectations after the cakes and pastries. But it is still a perfect place for breakfast.

Nice bakery with a range of tasty pastries and baked goods. Came here for breakfast a couple of times with my partner before starting work and it was a calm environment in which to start the day. The lady working there was friendly and we enjoyed the chocolate pastries that we ordered. The coffee was also decent. Plenty of seats available and it wasn’t too busy when we went which meant there was quite a calm environment. I would recommend.

One of my top choices among patisseries in Riga. Besides the taste and quality of the products, the atmosphere is lovely. Plus, super comfy hanger in the toilet.
Olga M — Google review
The establishment has been one of the best boutique cafes in central Riga for the last 10+ years. The products are of fantastic quality, particularly the macarons which make any other macarons in Riga seem completely inedible in comparison. The prices are extremely high, but this is to be expected, and the macarons are still underpriced as far as I am concerned. However, limited space is offered for indoors seating.

Best ever macaroons. Although the variety of desserts isn't great, their macaroons are worth trying. Melting in your mouth, I've enjoyed every bit. Tonka+cherry and salted caramel.

This cake! This cake! I was there purring from pleasure and euphoria of walnuts and cream cheese dancing in my mouth, and it is usually not that easy to make me so happy with the carrot cake because I have tried many and I know my carrots. This one was so moist and gentle that I would marry it. The coffee is quite simple but nice, and of course the wonderful atmosphere of the place is definitely a huge success.

Def my favourite place to come when I am in Riga! They have relaxed atmosphere, DELICIOUS DRINKS, smoothies, juices, coffees, also offering 2 kind of hot chocolate - sweetened and not sweetened, also milk alternatives. There are always young people working as cashiers, and they are super friendly and all the people in the place talk Latvian 🥹 Speaking about cupcakes- it’s overwhelming to see so many cupcakes at one place they have sweet and salty ones. And some with icing too, also come butter cookies.

Easily the best muffins in the city!!! The dark chocolate muffin is topped with chocolate chips and filled with a small bit of gooey chocolate filling with a crunch muffin top. EXQUISITE. Chocolate and ice cream with a massive and unmerited display of anger. We arrived at about 8:40pm wanting chocolate and ice cream. I don’t know what was going wrong for the person behind the counter, but he started rude, and descended into anger. Whatever piece of machinery he was using under the counter had made him really angry, and he was smashing it open and closed. It created a really hostile atmosphere. Nice cheese cake. Nice ice cream. Cafe Cadets de Gascogne is a French-style cafe that serves delicious breakfast items, such as croissants and pains au chocolat. The cafe is located in the historical district of Riga, which makes it a great place to study or catch up with friends. The prices are also satisfactory.
Tasty pastries at, I'd say, quite decent price. I visit this place quite randomly as it's not on my usual route, but when I visit I always grab some pastry and drink (mostly as takeaway) All pastries I have tried are tasty, but almond croissant is from heaven. Also macaroons are really tasty and looks really good. Coffee (latte) is decent, nothing special (6.5-7/10) they have also bitter cacao drink which tasted good. Location is really nice, nearby are quite a lot attractions and there is a parking lot in nezt building (when you use it you can get one free pastry if you buy coffee with the parking ticket) The place can get noisy when more people enter, but it's a Caffe where most people get takeaway food and drinks, so that can be expected. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Cadets de Gascogne – A pause, but not perfection. After a long wander through the city, we landed at Cadets de Gascogne, hoping for that ideal coffee pick-me-up. We sampled the Cappuccino, Caffè Latte, and Hot Chocolate—a lineup that sadly didn’t live up to our expectations. The flavors felt muted, and none quite delivered that comforting spark we were craving. ☕🍫 Maybe our taste buds were off, or maybe it just wasn’t their best day in the kitchen—but I’ve definitely had better brews elsewhere. Still, it’s an okay spot for a casual break if you’re not chasing coffee nirvana. The setting offered a peaceful pause, and sometimes that’s all you really need.

I have been to most cafés in Riga and all were good and had a decent nice coffees and snacks but his cafe takes it to the next level. Went with my family. We had three different dishes for breakfast - cottage cheese pancakes - those were delicious, oatmeal with fruits and homemade jam - oatmeal was good but jam didn’t quite hit the spot, missed some flavour in it. Third dish was sour bread with egg and that was really bread with egg, did expect something more for €9, at least a tomato or cucumber on the side so I would say prices are a bit too high but interior was great, music was great. If staff would be welcoming, at least saying hello it would be better. When you come to the register they look annoyed:D

Raunas Dārzs Eklērnīca is a popular spot known for its delicious and diverse selection of eclairs. The friendly staff and lively atmosphere make it a favorite among locals, who often debate whether Raunas Dārzs or another establishment makes the best eclairs in town. Visitors can expect to find fresh and flavorful eclairs, with options ranging from fruity to nutty flavors.
The best place to eat eclairs if you know how they should taste. If you come on a Saturday or Sunday morning, there is a big chance of getting some super fresh and even sometimes still warm eclairs with all the possible gentle and balanced fillings. I personally adore the fruity ones, they are not top sweet and often remind me of summer. The prices range from 1.00€ to 1.80€ per eclair, but two pieces are always enough. The coffee is delicious too, quite pricey, but very nice. Update: the interior of the place has been improved and now a few people can also sit inside to enjoy the treats. The eclairs are still awesome.

The best éclairs in Riga, I'm not kidding. You can grab these for a birthday, a work celebration or pretty much anything, they taste amazing, and have an amazing selection of tastes.
Roberts S — Google review
Excellent! The best Eclairs in Riga, very good coffee shop where you can have what you order with your coffee. The staff speak very good English, plenty of parking space. I recommend
Dr. N — Google review
Love this eclair factory! More than 50+ type of eclairs! Small but cute cafe 👍🏻
Egija J — Google review
An excellent little shop coming up with new eclair flavours. Their eclairs are delicious and well worth the money as a special treat or celebration. Walnut one was a new discovery for me this time and it tasted great. The prices range from €1 to €2.5 so not exactly cheap, but equally you'd pay way more money for something like this in other Europe's capital cities.
S L — Google review
The location is completely out of the way but it's worth it. The yuzu and passion fruit eclairs are top notch. One of the best I've ever tried, always fresh. They serve illy coffee and sell fresh strawberries. A bit pricy for this location. Have a little terrace outside.

This is a food orgasm. The huge delicious eclairs. Yummy 😍

At Spice, a café known as Lage Gastronomija, there was a minor incident involving a cake that was quickly resolved. The employees were highly pleasant and provided excellent customer service both in-person and via email. The food served at the café is delicious. It is a great place to visit, with an exceptional staff who go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
What a pleasant place to be. Loved it as my first ever cafe in Riga.
Tsetan R — Google review
On Dinner I took a chocolate cake with me to a tea party and when I started trying it from the companies I noticed very large layers of cream and very sickly sweet for such a price and quality I could have chosen something better I was very disappointed in the Lage establishment
Forniboy — Google review
Good place for a quick grab. I’d like to see more non-sweet and sour pastry on the shelves, and a menu for children. I love to go to Lage with my toddler, and these improvements would ensure me being a more regular customer.
David — Google review
This was really disappointing, the food was bad and the large portion was not large at all and way to expensive for the quality the lemonades were too sour and service was slow and brought the wrong dishes
Amel U — Google review
Newly renovated "Lage" cafeteria, located in Spice shopping center. Wide choice of pastries and snacks. Coffee ☕️- good quality Snacks & deserts - Tasty & worth the price Ambiance and feel - Fantastic It's worth visiting it.

Good place, with amazing staff. Anastasiya is one of the best service staff I have ever met. Every time I’m tired after job she makes me and everyone smile just with her energy and kindness.

(Translated by Google) Not very happy with the service. The girls behind the cash register are laughing, not saying hello, not saying goodbye. I say something, and in response I hear laughter from the saleswomen among themselves. (Original) Не очень довольна обслуживанием. Девушки за кассой стоят смеются, не здороваются, не прощаются. Я что-то говорю, в ответ слышу смех от продавщиц между собой

(Translated by Google) Wonderful cafe, delicious cakes! For me, a day without a cake or pastry is a day wasted) Plus, it so happened that we celebrated most of our family’s birthdays in Riga. We took the Salted Caramel cake - delicious, for those who like a lot of caramel. We were not impressed. The same cannot be said about Elegy. I didn’t expect it to be SO tasty!!! I didn't underestimate the white chocolate in the cream. The combination of raspberries, ice cream and crispy croquette is the most delicious!!! If you don’t like chocolate cakes and chocolate cream, like my mother ;), you won’t find a better cake!!! But... if you are not into the white stuff, then the Pistachio Cake is an explosion of taste!!! Of course, it is for pistachio lovers, which we are)) Everything about it is so harmonious and in moderation that it will probably never get boring! But still, for me, a lover of chocolate and not very sweet things, the NEO cake became a Mega discovery!!! It's chocolate-chocolate, and also with cherries!!!! My classmates will understand me)) It’s definitely not better to find here!!!

AJ Chocolate House, kafejnīca is a delightful spot to visit on a sunny weekend afternoon. The cafe offers an array of chocolate treats, including various chocolate pieces and delectable cakes like pistachio and honey. The staff is known for their exceptional politeness, making the experience even more enjoyable. In addition to the tempting chocolates and cakes, the cafe also serves quality tea that sets it apart from typical offerings. It's a comfortable place to work with a computer as well.
Very nice beautiful place, only has sweets, but a great collection of chocolates, cakes & ice cream. They also have real hot chocolate, not just the powdered drink. Fun service staff.

A cozy little gem in Riga’s Old Town offers chocolates to suit every taste – white, milk, and dark chocolate, making it a true delight for every sweet lover. However, there is one special drink that I definitely recommend trying – hot chocolate made from melted chocolate and served with whipped cream (+1 EUR). This drink will surely warm you up on rainy and cold days and will be a perfect addition to your sweet experience.
Katarina Z — Google review
Nice little cafe and chocolate shop serving hot drinks but also lots of sweet treats. Lovely staff and very nice to visit. We just had coffee, managed to resist the rest lol.

Delicious chocolate, fruit, pralines. I have nothing to complain about, every sweet lover will find something to their liking. Thank you, we will definitely come back :)
Alexandra Ď — Google review
Chocolate and ice cream with a massive and unmerited display of anger. We arrived at about 8:40pm wanting chocolate and ice cream. I don’t know what was going wrong for the person behind the counter, but he started rude, and descended into anger. Whatever piece of machinery he was using under the counter had made him really angry, and he was smashing it open and closed. It created a really hostile atmosphere. Nice cheese cake. Nice ice cream. Sort out your anger issues.

Cozy atmosphere, delicious coffee, incredible variety of sweet handmade gifts. And the excellent service💞

One of the best cafes in Riga. Amazing pastry, delicious deserts and coffee straight from Italy. This place will definitely give you some Italian vibes. The service is on the highest level. I can definitely recommend this place for anyone.
Ilja — Google review
The staff were extremely unprofessional — their attitude toward visitors was rude, with unfriendly looks and loud voices. One of the employees even shouted at me and threw it toward me carelessly. Completely unacceptable behavior. I do not recommend this place at all, and I definitely won’t be coming back.

Bakery
Nestled in the heart of Riga's Old Town, Pie Pulvertorņa, konditoreja is a delightful bakery that doubles as a cozy coffee shop. This charming spot offers an impressive selection of both sweet and savory pastries, making it perfect for any time of day. Visitors rave about their delectable croissants and unique popsicle cakes, while the Rhum cake has garnered particular praise from dessert lovers.
A friendly bakery that has a coffee-shop functionality inside and sells savoury as well as sweet pastries and cakes. We loved it so much yesterday we went back again today - the kids favoured the popsicle cakes and croissants while I enjoyed the Rhum cake and my husband thought the coffee was exceptionally good. They also have home-made iced tea. Loved it, recommend! Prices are very reasonable for an old town cafe.
Ilona N — Google review
A super quaint cafe with an amazing range of pastries and cakes. The staff was super friendly and everything was tasty. A nice little coffee stop or a breakfast spot
Leah — Google review
The desserts are good, the coffee and hot chocolate were of poor quality, I suppose it has to do with the bad mood of the lady who serves, with very poor customer service, it's a shame 😒
Fabrizio P — Google review
Once it was our favourite town caffe, for many years the name was Kaspara Dilana caffe. It was cosy, clean, with delicious bakery and friendly smiling people working here. Now it is not anymore cosy, bakery is not that tasty, browny tasted like old, coffee not good, and the service so strange, with very unfriendly irritated lady's who become very unhappy when someone enters the caffe... Very very sad, that once amazing place is not welcoming anymore.
Julija D — Google review
This place was highly recommended to us by The radisson hotel next door in which we were staying.. It's our first time in Riga and have found everybody extremely friendly UNTIL we walked in here!!!, the girl with the septum piercing gave bad vibes from the monent we stepped in, she stood and stared at us while we chose our breakfasts and id ordered an americano not realising it would be smaller and stronger than id thought, when i asked her for a cup of hot water so i could dilute it she was very put out and was shaking her head at me while i stupidly tried to explain so she didn't think i was complaining... This girl was sullen and irritated by 90% of people who walked in while we were there... The food 100% This member of staff needs lessons in smiling, greeting and general manners such a shame. We won't be back because of her..

One of few bakeries in Riga Old Town that open early! The pastries are very tasty and fresh. Prices are very reasonable. My favorite was the croissant with cheese and tomato.
Katrin K — Google review
We had been walking for quite a while, trying to find a decent place for breakfast. My blood sugar had been hitting the sky all morning. Luckily we stumbled across this place. The omelette breakfast took me by storm. The plate was bigger than my body. Absolutely tasty black coffee with a crazy big croissant. Definitely recommended for those who enjoy a full VIP-package of smashing breakfast.

All cake slices are 3€ no matter the size. The Raffaello cake was good. Service is welcoming and sweet. Really cozy as well.
