Enjoyed my time there. It's nice that the place allows you to order from all three places within the building. So there's something for everyone.

Overall from 10 I would say 7/10. Not something crazy or anything. The crispy chicken was okay, gochujang tartare was good and the katifi shrimp was okay as well. Nothing too exciting but like….okay. The cocktails were very interesting and I would suggest to try them. For the food, I would suggest it as well but only for 1 time.

Went to the Peakoka Nurk food station. Great food, especially the baked cauliflower and the mackerel tartare (the squid was good too, the patatas were not as exciting as the rest). Service was very good and fast. FYI you can share food from other food stations at the same table.

This place left a very pleasant impression, the food and the atmosphere were really enjoyable. We visited for lunch with a group of friends and it was a good idea to book a table in advance, as it gets quite busy during lunchtime. They offer daily specials and my friends ordered the beef tartare and a chicken dish from that menu, both were well received. I had the salmon steak, which was nicely presented and came with a great combination of flavors: mashed potatoes, spinach purée, tomatoes, and fresh greens. Normally it also includes broccoli, but I asked them to skip it. I definitely liked the dish, the salmon was tender and tasty and the sides worked together perfectly. For dessert, my friends had panna cotta and enjoyed it, while I chose the chocolate fondant with a scoop of ice cream and sea buckthorn foam, it was really delicious. This place also has a nice selection of signature cocktails. The waitress kindly helped me choose one based on my preferences and I was very happy with the Pink Panther, it suited my taste really well. We also tried their limoncello, which we liked a lot. Overall, it’s a great place with a pleasant atmosphere, friendly service and very good food and drinks. I definitely recommend visiting.

seems to be not bad, but: tartare without pepper, salt, capers, onions, pickled cucumbers ... that is, only meat and an egg. The sea bass was filled with mayonnaise sauces, so that the taste of fish was not felt. Interior was good, service too.

If you want a want a warm chill with high quality food this is the place. They have 3 restaurants, a burger place called uulits, a poki bowl and another Asian food restaurant.

I spent my last day in Estonia and decided to go to the Gunpowder Cellar. The atmosphere was really lovely. The food was so good as well! If I come to Tartu again, I will definitely eat there again.

I will definitely be back for this place. Walking in was like entering a fantasy setting, and for being such a large open space there is more seating than you think. Great beer selection, and the heavy wood furniture gives an impression of warmth for being underground. There’s also a stage on the ground floor.

A really cozy restaurant. Interesting interior and really delicious food. The waiter could have come and asked more often if we wanted more drinks or something. However, the service was otherwise good in every way. We were able to eat inside with the dogs and got a table on the side. Overall, a good experience and I will definitely visit again.

Visited in Sep 2025 Dropped by the Gunpowder Cellar a couple of times during my visit to Tartu. Ended up trying a few beers, but didn’t have any food. These folks have a pretty good collection of beers, incl. their house draughts and local/Estonian brands. I didn’t have any reservation and just did a walk-in. Had no issue finding a seat as the place is quite big. However, if you’re coming in a big group, it may be better to make a reservation. All in all, I think this beer hall/brewery is a must visit if you’re in Tartu, not only for the beers, but for the history of this place and the wonderful ambience.

Incredible! Best food I've had in a very long time. Chicken schnitzel and sweet potatoes were as flavorful as they were tender - fell apart as I placed my fork on it. The fried rye bread was also delicious. Both the domino cake (like an Oreo cheesecake) and the chocolate fondant (super dark and chocolatey) were delicious. Service was equally outstanding and the atmosphere in this old gunpowder storage cellar was perfect for my first night in Tartu. What a fortunate find!

It is a bunker like restaurant medieval style. Food was not so amazing. Tables are to big for groups of 8, if you come with 2 quite difficult to find a place. Thought the ambience is interesting.

I thought this was a good spot for something light to start my morning. The pistachio latte was amazing, and I wished I’d taken more time to order off the menu.

Love the place and staffs. I love how vigorous and lovely the atmosphere here is. I used to visit a lot just for taking a rest. Also lots of memories with lovely people. I love the cakes and matcha latte from here✨

Absolutely terrible service. So many people waiting on the line and all those girls who working there just being deliberately slow and lazy. There are like 4 girls behind the counter and most of the bakery is already ready but they still fail to be quicker. The food is okay and it’s a historic cafe at the heart of Tartu Old Town but sadly unmotivated service girls ruining this place. Near is a French cafe called Pierre what is much more recommended. Quick and friendly service with delicious food.

I didn’t realize this place was so laptop-friendly or I’d have gone there every day to work when I was visiting Tartu and given them all my money. The coffee was good, the pistachio tiramisu was o-k. The vibes are great.

I read about Cafe Werner in the Lonely Planet guide, as well as a travel blog and I knew I had to visit to try one of their cakes. So, once I finally made it too Tartu, I came and ordered a classic coffee with milk and some kind of blueberry cheesecake, I think. I picked something that looked pretty without really knowing that it was. Honestly, it tasted as good as it looks! I totally recommend a stop here, if only to indulge in some delicious pie of some kind !

Just had my most delicious chocolate 'Construction' at Werner, here since 1895. Can't call it a tart, not a cake, nor a chocolate....somewhere in between. It's made of dark chocolate, pistachios and raspberries...super yum. Very very popular place and a must to visit and enjoy light foods, amazing quiches and cakes. My espresso macchiato I also rate highly. Had 2.

We heard a lot about the place on TripAdvisor. However when we went on 25th June. There was some issue with the chefs it seems. The waiters were nice and bringing out the booze drinks all in time. How we the whole place was waiting for food. We had to wait for more then an hour to get our food. Food was overall average. Maybe one of those days when they were running short on chefs ? The waiter told they had two chefs today. But she mentioned that the food will come. Anyways overall an average experience we had. Hope to have a good one when we come next.

Beef was very overcooked and dry in the pasta(told the waiter who said that it should be medium, took it back to the kitchen, who sent it back to me with words that beef should be overcooked in the pasta), salt shaker got lost in the kitchen, pasta was sweet, missing salt. Salmon was overcooked. Service was great. Terrace is nice in the summer.

This place has very nice outside seating in the summer. Breakfast food was nice and the portion was big. It is a little generic but tastes nice and they have a large menu.

It was very disappointing. The burger meat was overcooked. The bottom patty was very dry, it crumbled in my hands, I had to eat it with a fork and knife. And the fries, why are there 2 types of fries? Straight and Crinkle, did they run out of one type? Clearly a cheap frozen variety.... I had a better meal at Hessburger and it was way cheaper. How could you do this to tourists?over charge us and give us a terrible meal. Its written on the menu you are getting Estonian meat, as if it's a way to tell you it's part of the genuine cuisine. At least the server was pleasant and helpful. I would not recommend!

Went for a quick bite and ordered 3 different starters to share with 2 persons. Everything was really tasty. Simple, but still tasty.

Very friendly staff and nice playground for kids. These are positives. But the salmon I ordered (around 15€) was way too small for the price, especially for Tartu. It was a bit tasteless also. Luckily the sides were good, but the Salmon piece should be at least twice the size. Photo is attached.

Nice patio on main Street. The positives end there! 5 dumplings = $12. They were bland and the sauce (sour cream) didn't help at all. The "chicken wok with noodles" was equally as uneventful. The peanut sauce was overwhelming. I would NOT recommend either dish! A Gin martini was delivered warm with a lemon slice floating in it even though the menu mentioned an olive. We were charged $3 for "tap water".

We had a business dinner at restaurant Aparaat, and it was a wonderful discovery. The atmosphere immediately draws you into a creative world – murals, artistic details, paintings, and flower pots create a special vibe. The food was very tasty. I had the duck – a bit of work for the teeth, but juicy and full of flavor. The non-alcoholic rhubarb drink was refreshing and enjoyable. For dessert, the chocolate panna cotta was not only delicious but also lactose-free, which I really appreciated. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. A great place both for the atmosphere and the food.

Great location and atmosphere in that refurbished old factory building. We went in winter, I’m sure it’s even nicer in summer with the outside seating. Service was fast and helpful. Food was OK, the mussels and fish on leib were pretty good, however the beetroot hummus was quite disappointing.

My bad for not getting my server’s name as she was outstanding. Absolutely on point service every step of the way. Food is good, but plating is not up to scratch. The soup bowl too big for the under plate, so wobbles; and the arancini had zero garnish (see pic). Just needs more attention to detail. And whatever you do, do NOT order the Riesling Château Ste Michelle. Oh my stars. Kerosene bouquet and lingering after-notes of paraffin. Truly the worst wine I’ve tasted in decades. Despite these criticisms, the service was so good, I’m giving Restoran Aparaat 5 stars, and will return shortly to try other menu offerings.

Burger with fries is 12.50€ - thats fine, but the amount of fries is saddening. Don't advertise fries if you deliver like 12 of them. Never visiting again.

After a bit rainy day we wanted to sit outside and asked if the wet chairs can be wiped. They refused stating its too busy even the place was nearly empty. We asked if we can wipe chairs ourselves. A girl reached out for paper towels. The other came by and they refused. So we went to Kolm Till next doors. Best decision ever- they moved tables for us even if the place was nearly full, they brought coloring menus for kids, they came to check in on us all the time, and food was great!

Cosy little spot with impeccable service, but unfortunately the food missed the mark for us. The pancakes were so thick and dense they felt more like bread, and the eggs were overly done. Some might prefer them this way, but we were expecting something else. The combination of pesto, pancakes and serrano was quite refreshing, so kudos to the shop for being inventive!

The service and atmosphere were great, but the food stayed below my expectations. I ordered banana pancakes with caramel sauce, but the pancakes were quite dry and heavy to eat (except for the middle part which had banana in it) and the sauce wasn’t tasty but bitter. The portions are also huge. The cacao was delicious as well.

Krempel was our first breakfast stop in Tartu, Estonia on September 5th, 2025 and we left quite happy. The location is probably one of the best in town, with comfortable seating, good coffee, and a solid breakfast. Definitely recommend.

Used to be my favourite place but recently the pancakes have been disappointing - undercooked and not fluffy at all. Last time could not even finish the food due to the unpleasant texture. Overall the atmosphere there is very nice, a lovely place for a coffee both inside and outside.

Used to really enjoy this place, but our recent visit was disappointing. The pancakes tasted like cardboard, with no real flavor. The staff did offer a 20% discount, which we appreciated. Service was friendly, but unfortunately, the food took a long time to arrive despite the place being quite empty.

Came here for one drink. Drinks are expensive. The place is really noisy and we talked a bit louder because of the noise. Waiter was rude and said we were to loud even though the whole restaurant is loud. This place felt uncomfortable and unfriendly! We are disappointed 😔

Service could be more enthusiastic, food is quite expensive taking into account that this is a pub. chicken wings (10) 8,90.- could've been 6,90 etc.

Excellent food and customer service.

Besides being open later at night than most other places in Tartu, we didn't find there any plusses. We waited to give our order more than 15 minutes, and got told off twice by the waitress '"You need to wait!' Then she took an order from a much bigger table that arrived later than us (who, by their comments, didn't appreciate the place too much either). Drinks came very slowly. Food was not good - extremely dried-out chicken strips. Waitress's comment to feedback was "So sad". Full price. There are a lot of smokers on the terrace. We dined outside, and were in a cloud of smoke most of the time . Can't imagine how the people living above the restaurant can survive with the smoke and noise. All-in-all, if you are starving late at night, you might give it a try.

Had crispy chicken burger and Wiener schnitzel, both were very tasty and large portions. Sweet potatoes were especially very nice and crispy. Good beer selection too.

Ate lunch here. Craft beer selection was a bit weak. Few draft beers. The loaded fries were huge, seljanka 5e was cheap and big portion and the expensive 20e lamb was good. Avoid the schnitzels.

We went to Kolm Tilli for brunch. I ordered eggs Benedict with salmon. The salmon itself was with proper structure and felt fresh. The bagel could have been roasted more but the most disappointing was that the eggs and the bread were not warm. Overall we were very pleased with attentive and friendly service and when in Tartu, we'll come back again.

It's a very popular spot in Tartu, and I really recommend making a reservation in advance. We didn't but still got seated which was nice, really good staff and service. We ordered the loaded schnitzel, pad thai and bao with chicken and kimchi. Everything was good except the pad thai which had a very sweet sauce and it was kind of the main flavour. I wish I was more confident to ask to return it and try something else from the menu but ended up just not finishing it. The chicken bao are something to die for - extremely delicious. It's inexpensive and got a very nice atmosphere. Overall, even though our dinner wasn't the most successful, we will be coming back to try more things when next time in Tartu.

Literally so good! Best mac and cheese and Pad Thai ever🙌🏻 Everything is so well done and the interior design is a vibe. The service was the sweetest and gave the best advice on what food to order! A new favourite and I will want to visit again for sure!

Visited with my sister and my brother. Me and my sister had vegan daily offer, some of it was a bit chewy, hence 4/5 stars. My brother had a pizza which he liked. Service was fast and the gentleman serving us was funny and cheerful. Cannot comment on the atmosphere indoors as we sat outside. As the restaurant is in a courtyard, you have limited view but it’s still interesting. Daily offers are very affordable!

Overall experience was just 'OK'. It took longer for our food to arrive since they're booked, and the steak was not warm, and the fries were like overfried and old. Cod & Octopus were good, though.

The last two were good, however the omlette was the worst among all omlettes I've ever had. Looked and tasted too fried and too dry. Such a cool place with a great vibe and atmosphere! We had the pil pil shrimps and chicken baos, they were really delicious! As a main, we ordered a ramen which is a brave choice to make in such a fusion place when one is a fan of a traditional ramen. Ramen was OK but had some weird ingredients (pickled onions, sprouts). Overall a great place, would come again.

A perfect spot for a family meal after a busy day of sightseeing – cibo squisito that tickles every sense! Highlights were a truly Italian lasagne and a calzone so good we murmured buonissimo at first bite. Desserts? The panna cotta was autentica, silky with just the right wobble – una vera delizia. Service inside the restaurant was equally impressive: the young ragazze front-of-house were professional yet warm, making us feel genuinely welcome. Grazie mille – we’ll definitely be back!

This is probably one of the best Italian food places in Estonia, not just in Tartu. The service was quite nice, on a shy side but that's what we like. It's inexpensive, served quickly. The flavours were amazing and they have quite a big menu to choose from. Very cozy and homely atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

The best pizza we ever tasted outside Italy ! Fresh ingredient, perfect dough and a wide choice makes this restaurant a must for pizza lovers in Tartu. We cannot rate the other dishes but the appearance of pasta and main courses were really excellent. Great place, great service and nice atmosphere

- Hospitality was good / waitress was good The rest…. - Seafood soup tasted like it was made of MAGGI cube tablets - not tasty - spicy pasta - too much souce / taste like thousand islands bottled souce. Chicken in pasta - small cubes / preliminary cut AND…. Surprise!!! Prices in menu are without VAT!!!! Really?! So at the end you are paying instead of 69 EUR - 85!!!! Dolce Vita - NEVER again!

La Dolce Vita, as its name suggests, is a sweet Italian restaurant right in the heart of Tartu, Estonia. We visited on the evening of September 4th, 2025, after a quick stroll through the Old Town following our drive from Gauja in Latvia. I was pleasantly surprised to see how packed it was on a regular weekday evening and that alone gave us a great first impression. The smell of fresh pizzas from the oven, the waitresses rushing between tables, and the lively atmosphere made the place feel warm and authentic, especially as we were starving. I had a local beer alongside a pizza, and we also tried the lasagna, which was excellent and came in a surprisingly generous portion (something not so common in Estonia, where portions are usually smaller). All in all, we left very satisfied and I can genuinely recommend this spot to anyone in Tartu craving Italian food. For real!

Good food and a cozy atmosphere. Great to see also many families enjoying their Sunday lunch. Why do the young waitresses have to wear short hot pants as their work attire? Gives a sleazy cheap vibe. As uncomfortable to the young ladies as to the customers.

I tried both delivery and dining in at this place. For delivery, I ordered a tuna salad, which was very tasty, filling and rather like a bowl with different ingredients, I really enjoyed it. For dessert, I got a crepe with cherries, chocolate spread and ice cream. It was good that the ice cream was packed separately in a small cup. The crêpe was delicious, but more like a full dish on its own. When I visited the restaurant, I ordered a galette with oven-baked salmon, cream cheese and leek. It was quite filling, but I didn’t really like the taste, it was too bland and there was too much leek, which didn’t go well with other ingredients. As well I had ginger and cinnamon tea, which was very good. Overall, the food can be good depending on what you order. The interior didn’t leave much of an impression, very simple, so I’d probably go for delivery next time.

I had a crepe with Nutella, banana, and strawberries and it was really yummy. Our waitress was friendly and the sitting are was cozy and the atmosphere was cozy as well. I highly recommend Crepp if you are ever hungry for a crepe in Tartu, Estonia.

Creative dishes, good wine, impeccable, expert, and joyful service. Tables are inconveniently close (our meal had to repeatedly endure the loud conversation at the next table). We had beef tartare, asparagus, and a carpaccio as appetisers, with beef as main. Together with wine and coffee, all for an (Michelin) affordable 267€

Elegant restaurant staffed by friendly professionals serving up fresh, high quality meals plated up very nicely. Part of the lovely hotel and overlooking the park in the middle of the city centre. FOOD: An array of seafood, meat and at least 1 vegan or vegetarian dish and the ability to make a few of their dishes gluten free. Flavours are well paired. *To note: They have gluten free bread. STAFF: Friendly, attentive and well mannered. OVERALL: Highly recommend. *They have a sizable kids room too.

We come to Tartu for a business trip and stay at Lydia hotel. Our guide recommends Hõlm for dinner. This is probably the best place for dinner in Tartu. Great decoration, spacious place. Staff is very attentive. Foods are made from fresh and high quality ingredients. Each plate is also beautifully garnished. They are very tasty. Only one minus is my steak (ask for medium) is a bit overcooked (get a medium-well)

Real jewel.Food is very fresh and absolutely delicious!! I had king prawns salad and chicken schnitzel with pickles. Highly recommended. Staff is polite,clean and professional. Restaurant is located in a very nice hotel.Next time I will stay there.

Visited in Sep 2025 Holm is one of the 3 restaurants in Tartu which is recommended by the Michelin guide (as of Sep 2025). Therefore decided to have a dinner here during my trip to Tartu. The restaurant has 2 entrances - you can enter it from the hotel side as well as the park side. The menu of the restaurant comprises an a-la-carte menu and a tasting menu. I went with the tasting menu which comprises 5 courses (excl the petit fours). On top of that, there were additional courses like the amuse bouche, the bread course and a palate cleanser dish. Each individual course was quite nice with good quality cooking and solid ingredients/produce. The reason for giving a 4/5 and not a 5/5 is that the beef main course was a bit too salty for my liking. All in all, a good restaurant to visit if you’re in Tartu for a trip.

12euro cheese platter with 4 pieces of cheese from each kinda. Chef reccomended spicy buffalo wings which were not spicy at all and tasted like supermarket food. Side veggies as you can see are a week old. Worst experience spending money in Tartu for Mothers day.

One of best service I had experience in Estonia! Tasty food and fantastic desserts! Live music at Friday evening. The place is bit pricey but definitely worth it!

Needed to have quiet place to take a meeting and have some dinner. Staff was very accommodating and understood the situation perfectly and helped even turn the music down a little bit bit when asked. Would give 10stars if possible

Nice hidden gem away from the main tourist area of the Town Hall Square. Friendly staff, good food, and a quiet evening. Good for groups of all sizes. Reasonable prices and tasty food.

Really nice restaurant with a very interesting history as a former children's sanatorium. It was nice to find a place that had vegetarian options and dishes with vegetables included. We ordered their broccoli salad as a starter, which was really good. For a main course we ordered their two risotto dishes--mint and pea risotto with shrimp and the beet risotto with goat cheese. Both were excellent. I also tried a couple of the local craft beers they were featuring. Unfortunately they were from a can and not on tap, but both were very good.

I ordered the liver shashlik. Unfortunately, the dish wasn't tasty. The liver was cooked to death and tough. The bacon wasn't crispy at all. The toppings were bland. Unfortunately, the shashlik wasn't very tasty. The restaurant has a beautiful garden. The service was very friendly.

We found this place based on earlier recommendations when spending a weekend in Tartu. We are so happy that we found this place. We had ordered the table beforehand because it was dinner time on Saturday. However, the place was not crowded at all which I found surprising. But the dinner: we had a three-course dinner and everything we tasted was excellent and innovative. Also the service was super. I highly recommend this place!

A lovely restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. The play area is perfect for children, and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We felt very welcome and will definitely come back.

The food was really delicious. Especially the lamb with herbs. The atmosphere is homey and simple with music and a nice back terrace. We definetly recommend this place for families because it’s kid friendly!

Convenient and cosy place. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable and breakfast buffet was excellent. Just the bathroom could feature better shower (and curtain) and better quality cosmetics. Also the restaurant could be open longer during summer time than till 21h.

My review is about the restaurant: food arrived after waiting for 50 min. I ordered duck and it had no seasoning at all and the yellow sauce(?) tasted like baby food. Terrible hotel – one of the worst experiences ever I strongly advise against staying here. The rooms had a disgusting, stale odor that made it hard to breathe. It was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work. When I asked the manager at the front desk for help, he simply said he wouldn’t do anything about it. The place is completely unsanitary. Solid hotel in a good location (right next to the bus station and within walking distance of all other sights and the main railway station). Room normally equipped, rather plain (2000s), clean. Very surprising, as we had never seen it like this before: the bathroom, which is completely tiled in bright green, has underfloor heating - like a small sauna. We found this strange, but very pleasant. The breakfast was a positive surprise as it was included in the price. Quality not outstanding, but nice selection (even fresh smoothies), lots of fruit, and the food was constantly replenished and cleared away. All in all, a solid stay for a few days, even if it's not a hotel that will be remembered forever.

Great location that is close to the coach station. Food variety for the breakfast is good. But my room doesn't come with a refrigerator.

No free water and parking is for paying customers. Breakfast had great variety of foods, but the taste was for me medium. Wife loved the smooty.

Rooms may have a bit old vibe on them, but AC worked well enough. Breakfast was normal hotel breakfast. You can get your car in a nextdoor parking hall 7 €/24 h. Electric car charging station also nextdoor.

Attentive waiting staff, even with some large parties in the restaurant. Good, delicious food. Well cooked and presented. Was there during cocktail week, and had 3 great cocktails with the meal. Highly recommend the Lavender Sour if it's on the menu again. Cost was less than expected for 3 courses and 3 cocktails. And a great treat for during my travels

Humal in Tartu is a fantastic spot for steak lovers! The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Paired with their wide selection of craft beers, it made for an excellent meal. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is knowledgeable about both the food and drinks. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great steak and beer experience in Tartu!

Against my usual suspicion of hotel restaurants, the name of this place “Hops” attracted attention. A large drinks menu with some “irrelevant” stuff on tap, but the highlight is eight local beers from Anderson and Puhaste in cans. The tap rooms are nearby, but not often open and definitely don’t have the excellent food options here. Friendly staff and a nice view of the lively streets outside. A great place to start an evening of Tartu craft beer.

Lamb burger was mediocre. Although three others in my table said they liked it. Pedron peppers, cheese balls and ribs were awesome and staff was helpful. Food was more like presentation first and quality second. Good selection of beers both craft and basic

Great restaurant with nice view! Salty food is exellent!! But.. desserts were a bit boring, specialy tiramisu. Not the cheapest, but once to have a good experience ot is woth to go.

Got the spicy chicken wings as appetiser. For main we got sea bream and the chicken burger. All very very delicious. This place is a bit pricey though, but the taste explains it. Overall I enjoyed it quite a lot!

Well... That was not a good visit... Warm shaken beer. Chewy burger stake. Quite a long wait. Somewhat messed up orders. Was not a good day for the restaurant. And not for us. Pity. There was a decent enough kids area tho!

The quality has reduced so much, or maybe the pulled duck burger is the only tasty food on the menu. The warm salad has beef which tastes like paper, so overcooked. Also other food we tried didn’t give any feeling we would like to go back there.

I could call that: the perfect diner. Well accommodated with smiles and simplicity, we ordered and then were served in less than 20mn. Menu for kids that they enjoyed, area for them to wait for the diner, peaceful time for parents. Menu is delicious and diverse. Staff is helpful and efficient. Love it

Two foods that i wanted were both sold out, that was not very nice but the waiter was very kind and nice and they even agreed to swap polenta with cauliflower cream in my portobello (i don't like polenta) which was lovely. The food was okay but very oily and heavy so i don't recommend if you're hoping for a light healthy meal.

Cozy vegan restaurant. The side vegetable wok with the salmon steak was bit bland, not cooked enough and too oily. The salmon steak and the sauce were delicious.

Good cafe to stay and eat. It has children's space. The staff served dishes soon so we could be in time for the train. This cafe has many menu for vegans.

Average pizza. Not even close to NY standards. Ok if you are hungry. Staff is nice and helpful, place is neat and clean. About 15 different pizzas on the menu. The tuna one did not sit well with me.

Well for the price you get what you pay for. Pizza was ready before i took my coat off. It was soggy in middle and felt like it was heated under one minute. Cup of tea was good but the cup it self looked like it was used in construction work. I would never go there for second bite.

Although simple interior then atmosohere is still pleasant. Pizzas are good but nothing special. Good old honest place with low prices. You can eat there or take-away. Good for quick bite but if you want something more fancy then choose Da Vinci or La Dolce Vita.

The pizzas are better than most of the other pizza places in Tartu. The crust is right, the toppings taste fresh. You get an above average pizza here. The pizzas are customizable to your liking too. Drinks are $$$ as in any restaurant. Over all, a solid choice for treating yourself.

I gave this pizzeria a second try, only because it is close to my work, but still hopeless - it is one of the worst pizzerias in the town. Tastes like supermarket pizza with some tasteless frozen additions. The atmosphere is very much the same - some estonian radio playing in one corner and estonian tv in another. This pizzeria is just a low quality fast food place. Not worth.

One of my favourite pizza restaurants in Tartu. Every time i am visiting Tartu town i am visiting this restaurant. There's no posh seats or extensive menu. It's not too expensive. But quality of the food is outstanding for years and years. Hope this business will last long.

Amazing coffee. I asked them to surprise me. They did. The Rwandan coffee was incredibly fruity. I had the broccoli soup, toasted sandwich and a cinnamon cake. Beautiful cafe.

Cozy little spot, but really small..not the best place to work from. The cappuccino was really good, just a bit too small (wish they served it in the same mug as the hot chocolate!) Great roastery to grab coffee beans though, nice variety! If you have time, take a moment to read one of the coffee books they have 🫶🏼

Super cozy and intimate cafe with excellent coffee. Prices are fairly affordable, especially given the quality of coffee. Some small pastries and sandwiches are also on offer, and you can purchase loose beans or ground coffee. Sadly no soy or other milk alternatives beyond oat milk, as tends to be the case in Estonia.

Super cute speciality coffee shop a short walk away from the centre of Tartu Lovely friendly staff, so many coffee options including classic espresso based coffee and also many options for filter as they also roast their own beans. Sampled a few of the home made baked goods and can safely say they were delicious 🤗

A good hotel in an excellent location in Tartu - literally 10 meters from entrance to University of Tartu main building. Rooms are spacious and have a beautiful bathroom but if to go to details, one notices they need updating as there are a lot of warn signs. A good experience nevertheless

This hotel is a true gem. Located just across from the main building of the University of Tartu, it is a wonderful place to explore the town. In my case, both check-in and check-out were seamless and quick. The room was very cozy and comfortable. Their breakfast options were delicious and the a la carte menu was an excellent touch. I will certainly be trying to stay in this hotel on my next visit to Tartu

Avoid suite 202! Dark, dingy suite. Very worn interior. Using the shower flooded the entire bathroom in 0.5cm of water all over every time. Had to use towels to create a flood barrier and was given a mop as if we should clean it up ourselves! Raised with reception in the afternoon on day 1. Not resolved for our entire 3 night stay!! Ridiculous. Whilst staff appear friendly they were utterly useless in taking our issue seriously or dealing with it. So we basically spent the whole time with a swimming pool rather than bathroom. Completely unacceptable. Raised to manager who was completely disinterested and utterly inept and handling or resolving the complaint. I dont get how this hotel is rated so highly with such a poor attitude.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Staff helpfulness is second to none, our room felt like a corner of Riviera residence, in the best possible way. Quiet, calm, comfortable and very appreciated. Thank you for having us!

No airconditioning in the room although advertised. Room temperature +26C through the night and no windows that can be open. Big disappointment, since AC was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Nice building and good breakfast, but in case you want to sleeps in coom temperatures I’d look somewhere else.

As a french man i do not often make compliments when i travel round the world but Antonius has been full of surprises . Excellent comfortable hôtel and bedroom. And also quality food restaurant, à la française, for dîner and breakfast . Good chef and Service was near perfection . Situation very quiet and central .

I was supposed to book a room for our family (two adults and two toydogs) in this hotel, but when I read the pet policy I realised this is nothing for us. They say:"Pets are more than welcome to stay with you in the hotel." But after that there comes huge list of exceptions. The fee is 25€/pet/night - with two tiny dogs that means 150€/3nights - including nothing! They promise some things from PrimaDog, which we never give to our dogs. (I am happy to pay e.g. 50€/dog/night if that price really includes something worth it!) In this hotel: pets are not allowed this and that and you may not this and that and and and. Our dogs are very used to stay in hotels, to travel both in own car and in public transportation - and we have done these things with them a lot. Also I am happy I read the comments of other travelers (esp. with pets) for instance here and in other sites - we are absolutely going to avoid this hotel. I would find better service to not accept pets than tell you are pet friendly when the reality is something else. Fortunately there are also real five star hotels that not only tell they are pet friendly but they are!

Kebabi wrap waa awesome. Chicken wings and kid's burger were so so. The service was in a lazy mood.

I tried Ossu burger and Ossu style potatoes. The result was very good and worthy of praise. Burger is juicy and simple. All the flavors were in place. Friendly service. I recommend to visit!

Very bad service got the wrong order when at first I ordered medium fries, medium sprite, ketchup and a cheeseburger but I got a small Coca Cola, 4 McNuggets, and a sour and sweet sauce. If u want a good person to give u service then don’t come here

On a regular august wednesday, it took them more than 15 min to get ready a standard cheeseburger meal plus a milkshake. (I do not know how long actually; at 15min point I had to leave) I had to go to the counter and beg them to at least give me a cheeseburger at 21:55 when I only had 5 min to catch the LAST BUS to Tallinn. I got the burger and THEN I HAD TO RUN to the bus station to catch the bus at the very last minute. (Had I missed it, the mc do meal would have costed me a night at a hotel + a new bus ticket 😂 = min 100€) (note: bus station is at the next block, so I thought 15 min for such a basic order should have been just fine!) So. My advise. Rather starve to death than expect to get any food from mc do in any decent timeframe. 0 starts. 2 stars for the lady who at least gave me a burger. Rest of my money went to waste.

This was peak, we visited here for a 1-2 days and we had mc 3 times we enjoyed the place and all the options we had. Grimace Shake was also fire.

If you want at least good coffee in any Mc, order from McCafe directly. Greetings to the best girl who works there, she knows English and Russian as well.

Hesburger like you would expect, so product level is the same almost everywhere in other Hesburgers - which is good. This particular cafe has usually very slow service (considering more than 5 visits) so be prepared to wait 30mins or more. Not so fast for a fast food restaurant.

So far, i have liked everything i have ordered. I recommend using the cupons there are in Hesburger app. Veke soja burger is very good.

Expect to pay way too much for what you get. Stop for food only as your last option, french fries never taste fresh and most of the burgers contain a weird combination of ingredients that are often tasteless. Workers seem depressed and overloaded, further disapproving the prices listed there.

Hesburger is a Hesburger, it's quite good but if you're ordering it from Wolt or Bolt, then I'd suggest ordering from Eeden shopping mall's Hesburger instead. I don't really want to knock on workers in Anne Hesburger because they have an extremely hard job which pays quite little, but if you're using Bolt food or Wolt then the chance of your order being wrong is I'd say about 75%. Food itself is good and if you're at Anne Hesburger then the service is also quite good (unless you're in the drive-in).

This is one of the best pizza places in Tartu. Pizzas here are really tasty and affordable compared to the other pizza places in Tartu. Their pizza style is not fully italian, but more like American with thin and thick crust options. And they take ISIC card.

I can't actually review the food as I didn't get any. I arrived to this place at 21:40 on Friday evening after checking the closing time (22:00)on google. On arrival I stopped to see the Menu on the wall for few minutes and proceed to order. For my surprise I was told then that it's not possible to order as the shop is closing at 22:00 and they don't have time to prepare and cook pizza before closing. There was no other customers,only some friends of the not so friendly sales person/pizza maker ,so it didn't look that busy.I do understand it was 15 minutes before closing but why wasn't I told that place is closed when I walked in to the shop instead letting me read the menu and trying to order? It they don't take new orders 15 minutes before closing it would nice to know it before going in.Not great customer service.

Appealed by the good reviews, visited this pizzeria with genuine spirit and curiosity but was very negatively impressed. Pizza was decent while not memorable. But this would be in my eyes the least of the issue if in presence of average courtesy and good manners. On the contrary I experienced poor, totally un-polite, un-welcoming and unacceptable service. Sometimes it is still striking to see the lack of politeness basics applied by careless people into some customer facing roles. Would never go back again even if I had one month free of charge menu :-(

I visit this place every time I am in Tartu. Pizzas are really good and for example pizza of the day & 0.5 liter beer is an economical choice. Now that pizza was just right size and had enough cheese on it. Probably best price/quality near the center.

Rather weak for any franchise. Using only 4 components don’t get you anywhere. No sauce either. Strong dough taste. Waiting 70 minutes for supermarket-quality, sorry. Also more expensive than Kolm Tilli’s, that you should definitely try.

One of the best pizza houses of Tartu.....I tried many different places and I must say that Pappa Pizza is above all.....great ingredients and fresh from oven...i also order online and they are super fast and responsive...awesome experience overall👍👍

Went here for lunch, since a friend said that it's "a really good place to get lunch, big portions etc". Firstly the menu, it was huge. Having a menu of 80+ items means you can't give the best quality on everything. Maybe should consider downsizing it. The quality clearly indicated when we ordered 2 different kebabs and got 2 disappointing plates. The meat itself wasn't that bad to be fair. The issue was the sauce, the fries and the salad. Salad was a premade and storebought salad, that was too sour thanks to the crazy amount of vinegar which was poured in there, didn't go well with the dishes at all. Then the fries - they spent a bit too long in the deep-fryer and were a bit too crunchy, the big amount of salt used didn't help their case. Finally, the sauce. A powdered storebought dip mixed with sour cream. This is fine if you want to eat chips, but a good kebab should have a good sauce. The sauce didn't work with the kebab or fries at all. Thankfully there was a bottle of ketchup on the table to help with eating everything. If the price of a kebab dish is nearly 8 Euros, then it should be worth the money, here I feel like even 4 Euros for a kebab dish would have been too much. Positive note though is that they make pizza and pitas as well, didn't get a chance to try these, but from what I've heard, they're average at best.

My got place for kebab pita. Service is usually fast and food tastes great. There's parking right outside and a summer terrace. Prices are affordable. Unfortunately sometimes they run out one of 2 types of kebab, so mix kebab dishes are not always avaliable.

Cheese-bacon burger could have been a bit more tasty. Didn't actually feel the taste of cheese or bacon and also the cutlet could have had more taste. Bread was good though. And interesting that they serve burger together with black rubber gloves so you can eat without your hands getting dirty :)

The menu here is huge. They serve pizzas, burgers, fries, pasta, soups, wraps and kebabs with many options in each category. Usually with dining establishments, as the menu grows larger, the quality drops. This place is just the opposite; everything tastes delicious and the portions are immense. If you're dining alone, be prepared to ask for a doggy bag for leftovers.
