Honestly super happy with this new addition to San Clemente! My fiancé and I do a lot of remote work, so we love venturing out to local shops to hangout and get some work done. Everything was great, and they even brought us some little samples of stuff that they were working on for free. Highly Recommend!

Hear me out…the BEST egg salad and avo toast lunch in downtown. At a bake shop? Yes! Why?….the fresh fluffy artisan BREAD and fresh ingredients!! Paired with a cookie or cupcake dessert and a cuppa tea…chefs kiss!

We were passing by in need for some treats to take with us for our dinner visit, we're attracted by the name "Bakery", and, oh boy, how lucky were us! Amazing cupcakes, best I have had in AGES! Definitely worth leaving the highway. Super friendly lady at the counter. And you know what? We swallowed the cupcakes immediately (hardly had time to take a picture) , and had to go buy something else for dinner 😅. Marking it on the map as "the must".

Sugar Bloom has a great ambiance — cute, calm, and well designed — but $8 for a small matcha? Come on. The vibe is lovely, but those prices explain why the place is empty.

Went to South Swell in San Clemente and it was a really good experience. They have a solid variety of flavors and different options to pick from, which made it tough to choose. The girl working at the front was super sweet and gave us some insight into which flavors were the most popular and her personal favorites, which helped a lot. We ended up going with a Butterfinger dipped popsicle and a vanilla soft serve topped with coconut and chocolate. The coconut honestly surprised me. It had such a good crunch and was not overpowering at all. The soft serve itself was perfect. Great flavor, super creamy, and paired really well with the chocolate. My favorite was definitely the Butterfinger popsicle. The crunch from the chocolate dip mixed with the peanut butter drizzle was just next level. Such a good balance of flavor and texture in every bite. It is a great little spot with beautiful views all around. You can easily imagine it being the perfect stop during the hot summers. Chill vibe, great treats, and definitely a place I would go back to again.

Yes, please!!! Huge ice cream fan and this place does not disappoint. Several excellent choices - I did the Girl Scout mint cookies with the vanilla soft serve - very, very good! Friend got the banana dipped in chocolate and rolled in nuts. Heard this place is usually rockin’ and I can see why. Great service with a smile and an excellent treat at a decent price!

It’s pretty good. First time here, tried different flavours of syrups and toppings. Ice cream is huge. Barely finished it. Very friendly staff, clean inside and out.

From the moment you roll up, this place just feels cool—laid-back surf-town energy, good music, and a line of people who know they’re about to level up their dessert game. The staff is awesome—super friendly, fast, and genuinely helpful. They guide you through the menu like ice cream pros and somehow stay upbeat even during a rush. The bars are next level. The Parent Trap (Oreo + peanut butter drizzle) and Da Bomb Fire (toasted marshmallow + graham cracker) are unreal. Tons of dips, wild toppings, and coconut milk bars for the dairy-free crew. Everything is dipped, topped, and made fresh right in front of you. It’s fun, it’s delicious, and it’s run by great people. Easily a must-visit in San Clemente.

The chocolate they use for their bananas is dairy free. Love the allergy friendliness. I wish they’d keep the Rocky Road topping more frequently. It’s so great and gluten free. Otherwise they don’t have gluten free options besides the drizzles.

The staff was very nice, the atmosphere and location was AMAZING, however…. the food was AWFUL. Maybe they have good deserts but I spent 24$ on a 12 inch pinch and it was the worst pizza I had in my life. Visually it was very sad and underwhelming and the flavor was also not good. The worst part was how my jaw was getting sore from chewing my pizza dough so hard because it was SO chewy. Awful, I would definitely NOT recommend the Margarita Pizza.

This little gem 😍 the staff is super friendly, the food is awesome I had the avocado toast with balsamic and a over hard egg on gluten free toast yoooooooo it was sooooo good. I will come here every time I come back to this part of California!! So many things to choose from gluten free and vegan also regular. It was a true delight to have lunch here! Thank you so much

I went to this place Caterina's in San Clemente. Three stars. That's right in the middle: not terrible, not amazing. Just... there. Like my high school GPA. So about the service... yeah, I get what everyone's saying about it. It's not great. The waitress looked at me like I was speaking a different language, and I was just asking where the bathroom was. I mean, I do mumble sometimes. My girlfriend says I sound like I'm talking through a broken speaker to at a drive-thru. Just kidding. I don’t have a girlfriend. But anyway back to Caterina’s whose name reminds me of a Russian chick that married the guy who first owned the place when it was called “Sal’s”… The thing is, they're in this perfect location in San Clemente, so they don't really need to improve. It's like when you're the only gas station for 50 miles. You can be rude to everybody because what are they gonna do push their car home? The outdoor seating though, that was really nice. I sat out there for a while just watching people walk by. Some guy walked past with a parrot on his shoulder. Just a regular Tuesday in San Clemente I guess. In Mexico, I’m pretty sure that would make him a drug dealer. They have this selection of mochas that's pretty impressive. I tried one with some kind of hazelnut thing in it. It was good. Not "text your mom about it" good, but definitely "nod your head while you're drinking it" good. The big issue is they don't have Wi-Fi. In 2025. I asked the waiter about it, and he looked at me like I'd asked if I could borrow his teleportation booth. He said, "No, we want people to connect with each other." Which is a nice thought, but I was alone, so I just connected with my phone data plan instead. Burned through like half my monthly allowance looking at pictures of men wearing parrots. So yeah, three stars. Would I go back? Probably. Would I remember I've been there before until I saw the man with the parrot? Probably not.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Had lunch at Caterinas today and was really impressed!!! I've enjoyed their yummy Avocado toast for brunch or the authentically Italian gelato before but had never eaten lunch there. The hubster and I had the Italian Sub and the Turkey Avo Panini, respectively. Both were mouthwateringly Deee-lish!!!! I mean as good as the best deli sandwich you've had since your last trip to NYC!! Seriously!! Added bonus was the ocean peeping through the palms. Try it...you won't be sorry.

Cute beachside café and gelato/coffee bar. Good food and Gelato. Unfortunately staff is unable to accept cash if change is required and there is no signage indicating this. Would love to rate higher but this is a deal breaker for me. I was basically forced to pay with a card. Visitors be advised, owners please correct with a clearer policy or signage.

Seriously, how do you walk into this place and not leave with something? Rocket Fizz San Clemente is always spotless and so well-organized, it just makes the whole experience so enjoyable. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and their customer service is top-notch. Just had to share my current fave: the Dubai Angel Hair chocolate… it’s next-level!

I love this place. It reminds me of Spencer gifts as a kid, but with candy, haha. If you're looking for that cool gift, but not sure what to get, this place has great options. Also great for gag gifts and premium sodas. Best root beer I've ever bought was from here.

This store is a local favorite. Every child in San Clemente knows and loves this store. My kids included. The owners are amazing and the staff is friendly. They have a great variety of candy including some old school treats you can’t find anywhere else. I personally can’t walk into this store and walk out empty handed. Which is a bad thing for my BMI but good for my soul.

The cutest little small town candy store!!! I can’t recommend this candy shop on scenic Del Mar Street enough. It is locally owned by the cutest young family and I always have to pop by after dinner out for a sweet treat. They have the most incredible nostalgic candy selection, as well as imported chocolates that you’ve never heard of, but now can’t live without. You’ll love it!

I was at the store yesterday. It was super clean and filled with delicious looking candy and chocolate. The staff were very nice and friendly. Overall, amazing experience and I will come back again.

I bought a cake for around $50. And the box said it was Oreo ice cream with white cake. However, we got chocolate mint ice cream in our cake. We still ate it. But for a $50 cake, we expect to eat what we paid for.

Door dashed banana royal last night. Any time I DoorDash they put the hot fudge on top of the ice cream in the same dish and everything melts. This time I called ahead to nicely ask them to pack the hot fudge and ice cream separately. I had to call 3x over a 15 min period with no answer. A young woman finally answers and I explain before I press send for DoorDash. She then asks for my complete order. I said it will be sent via DoorDash. She doesn’t understand. I explain again “I’m about to hit send on a DoorDash order. Plz do not put hot fudge on top of icecream so it isn’t melted.” “Oh… so how many scoops?” There was nothing else I could say and just submitted the DoorDash in hopes the girl there would know how to make the items on the menu. Hot fudge was in different cup but still on top of ice cream which melted of course. She also did 1 small tiny kids scoop. Banana royale is 2 regular scoops. She obviously did this because she wasn’t happy with our conversation. I got my money back from DoorDash and plan to reach out to corporate. We have been a regular for years, not sure if the owner was working or an employee last name on Memorial Day, but customer service was at record low. We came in and barely got greeted. We saw they were busy and were being considerate and patient. After about 4-5 minutes of silent waiting he came up and we asked for a sample. Shortly after another customer came in and he switched over real quick to him and cut us off. We walked out and went to a different ice cream shop on PCH which was happy to help. Close on a holiday if you’re going to treat your clients portly. We can simply go a diffemt BR location.

The ice cream at Baskin Robins will taste the same here as any other, great, but that is the only great thing about this location. The owner is very rude and has very poor customer service. I have felt on many occasions over years that he comes across to favor some individuals based off race and social class. This is very discrediting towards me offering any of my support to his business. Talking to others they have had the same experience. I am sad to say this but feel it is necessary.

The listing on Maps said that they were open til 10:30pm but they closed at 10.

This location is under new management! I went there today to pick up a cake that I ordered over the phone and was very pleased with the service and the cake. Even though I live 15 minutes away from this location and there are 2 other locations closer to me (San Clemente and SJC), those locations were not answering their phone. This Dana Point location did answer the phone, so they got my business. The store is clean and the staff is friendly. They were all wearing face masks, which I appreciated. I highly recommend this location and I will be back.

I was disappointed by the service at this Yogurtland location. I spent $28 and asked to add my rewards number after completing the purchase, but the cashier was unhelpful and dismissive. Despite Yogurtland’s policy allowing points to be added within 30 days online, the employee refused to assist or provide accurate information, which felt unprofessional and frustrating. Yogurtland’s own standards emphasize friendly, effective customer service and problem-solving, but this experience fell far short. I hope management addresses this to ensure better training and respect for customers in the future.

Yogurtland is Yogurtland, there’s not a lot to review there. It’s a typical rotating menu of frozen yogurt with the options for fresh fruit and other toppings tho at you can buy, and eat, by the pound! This location is awesome though. It’s always clean in there, they’re patient with the littles that follow families around the store, and there are a couple of employees that are engaging and helpful to customers. The topping area stays pretty clean, which I imagine is no small feat given to at customers must be constantly spilling and mixing them on accident. The value is good, their loyalty program gives frequent discounts.

It can get busy on weekends after dinner, but it's not too bad. Some seats inside and some tables outside, but definitely not big enough if there's a crowd. We usually take ours back home. The place is usually clean and well stocked. It's rare that something would be out of service or just "out of". The flavors change regularly, usually coordinating with holidays or seasons. They have great flavors, we always enjoy the yogurt and the toppings. I love the mochi and the chocolate syrup. My husband loves the chocolate sprinkles, Oreo cookies, and brownies. It works just like every other self serve yogurt. You grab a cup and fill it up yourself then pay for it. So easy that even little kids do it on their own!

They have a great selection of flavors and toppings. Staff in always very nice and professional. We tried the spicy watermelon flavor add chamoy and tajin and some fruit very yummy and unexpected for your taste buds. 😄

We buy our juices from here almost weekly , the cashiers are mostly pleasant unless you go near closing time then they are a bit rushed. I was told last night that before I order I should let them know I’m a VIP member so they don’t have to cancel and re-enter the order after the fact. She tried to say it in the nicest way possible she knew how and I didn’t mind but someone else could have taken offense by the way she said it as it came off annoyed with having to re-enter everything. Most of the cashiers are young and inexperienced in customer service which is understandable. I would suggest the manager train the employees to ask clients if they are a VIP member before taking their order and entering the information in the system. This would avoid the delays in having to delete and re-enter orders and become more efficient as well as possibly sell more VIP memberships. Seems like a win win for all.

Guilt free and delicious dessert... this is my wife's favorite go to. They usually have a special going on, from $2 freezes to 4 items for $25. She enjoys the freezes, juices, and shots. Her favorite which I will surprise her with every now and then are the blue lemonade and golden milk. I like healthy gummies, the green ones since I have not yet tried the others, and all of the freeze flavors are delicious. Not super sugary, just perfect for a treat!

It’s about 107 degrees outside. We thought the Freeze was a great dessert on a very warm day. We found the Pressed Juicery in Laguna Niguel after our lunch there are two employees showed up. One female employee blond hair with glasses treated us with a very unfriendly and unprofessionally attitude. We thought she was angry. At the same time the other female employee black hair with glasses was asking us some random questions and trying to check out. I was confused by their services. It was not busy at the store. There are two of us and two employees. I’m a big fan of Pressed Juicery but I never had such a bad experience at the Pressed Juicery stores before. My freeze made by an angry employee wasn’t even taste great. We should haven’t gone there in the first place. Waste money and time.

Stopped by today, have ordered online before, tried to buy a green drink with CASH...they infirmed me they don't take cash. So i left the juice and will take my future business to stores that takes cash. People need to realize, Cashless = control. Use cash!

We love love love pressed juicery so much but I feel like after months of issues here it needs to be noted that this specific location is horrible. They are ALWAYS out of things. They never have toppings for their freezes or they’re out of all flavors but one, or their freezers are broken or their juices are out of stock it’s crazy every time I attempt to go it’s another thing gone wrong! So unfortunate cause it’s so close to our house but we definitely do not recommend going to this location. Not to mention I’ve had many a conversation with people in the lines about how unpleasant the employees are and while there are some sweethearts working there, there have definitely been some with quite the attitude... drive a little farther to a different location and avoid the headache!!

Legendary Ice Cream joint! Line is always long but moves quickly! Service is friendly and the portions are generous for the price! They have many unique flavors and obviously the classics! There are nut free and gluten free and dairy free options as well! I look forward to coming here again on my next trip south! I ordered the Monkey business flavor which was banana base (tasted like REAL bananas, not some fake flavoring) with caramel ribbon and some brownie chunks in it!

My most favorite ice cream! I love the 4 scoop sampler because you can try new flavors or if you're like me and like too many to put on one cone- this is a great idea! Never a bad experience when those big smily faces come to the window and serve you. Love Handel's!

Took the crew to Handel’s in San Clemente and let me just say—this place is dangerous (in the best way). The flavor list is ridiculous (in a good way). I thought I’d just grab one scoop… and walked out with a sampler flight. No regrets. The kids were in heaven—Birthday Cake and Blue Monster were the big hits (bonus: they looked as fun as they tasted). I went with Salty Caramel Truffle, and it was rich, creamy, and absolutely worth breaking any kind of “just one bite” rule. The portions are no joke—a single scoop is basically the size of a toddler’s face. Great value, but maybe split one if you don’t want a sugar-fueled marathon afterward. No indoor seating, but the outdoor benches worked fine. The staff was super sweet, even when my kids took forever to choose their flavors (classic). Bottom line: Handel’s is a win for families, ice cream lovers, and anyone with taste buds. Come hungry, bring napkins, and don’t expect to leave without a new favorite flavor.

Got their 4 scoop sampler for $8! This is a great option for people not from the area that want to try multiple flavors! Highly recommend the monkey business and pistachio flavors! You can tell their ice cream is homemade because it is super smooth and creamy.

It appears that some individuals sacrifice their well-being because the market fails to meet their standards, settling for mediocrity. They source ingredients from the local area so you only get what is in season assuring that freshness. Nothing less then, yummy goodness!! We sat outside the store for 10 minutes waiting for it to open at 12:00. The doors opened. We got out of the car and walked to the ice cream shop. The lady came out of the store carrying chairs so we stood and waited for her. She did not say anything to us not. Good morning, I'm sorry I just have to put the furniture out nothing. Then my husband walked into the store and the lady made a face at my husband because she was frustrated that he had walked into the store and she was trying to bring the furniture out which should have been out before 12:00 because the store opened for business at 12:00. So we left the lady and it may even be the owner. Is it very rude? No customer service whatsoever. I will never return to the store because not only no customer service. The owner doesn't tell the story correctly because she wants to sound good.

Lucky Dog is open for business! This place is absolutely delicious. Everything is homemade and there are so many wonderful flavor options for every type of gelato craving. They had 6 or 7 vegan options too, which is great for me as I’m dairy free! The owner was lovely, telling us about her time working under a gelato maker in Italy. This is a truly wonderful place and the icing on the cake is how cute it is inside!

Amazing! The owner is so sweet. You can literally taste the quality and love put into the gelato. We will be back next weekend! Also the espresso is very good too!

I was in Tuscany recently (where they claim to have invented Gelato) and are very proud of their gelato. Lucky Dog Gelato is every bit as good. No need to go to Italy for the best gelato- it’s here in San Clemente!

A year later and they just keep on delivering fantastic flavors. BUTTERCAKE! Carrot cake! LAST YEAR: We were just wishing there was a great gelato shop in town! Lo and behold, and LUCKY for us we now have Lucky Dog. Super cute shop, delicious flavors, CREAMY. Authentic Italian gelato. (We know, we’ve been there) Noelle, the owner, studied in Italy for three summers! We’ll be back to try all their amazing flavors. Both gelato and sorbet. The owners are both so nice.

So exciting to see a gf/dairy free/refined sugar free ice cream in the area :) This ice cream is good for what it is. I feel like the flavors I tried were really overwhelmed by the flavor of coconut, and honestly could benefit from some salt to round the flavors out, just from a culinary perspective. The shop was very cute and clean, but the staff seemed to have limited knowledge about the flavors and struggled to tell me about the flavors I asked about (ex. She had no idea what was in the tropical blend…and a lot of I don’t knows, which was too bad since this was my first time here! Not really ideal, given this place seems to focus on allergens and dietary restrictions. Not the end of the world though haha I’d give it another try if I were down in the area! It’s nice to have this option and not be worried about gluten cross contamination :)

Hi! So. We actually really enjoy Vedder’s ice cream and cookies! The flavors are always really nice. However, we have gotten about 4 pints so far and always find hard pieces in it. Some of them are short and shaped like a “c”, and some are more hair-like (like in the photo). We thought maybe it was coconut, or maybe frozen fruit strings? But it’s definitely clear/white and hard like plastic. More than wanting to say anything bad, I’m just kind of wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone can explain what these are- because we’d love to keep enjoying!

Seriously the best guilt-free ice cream ever! This place is all gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free (sweetened with dates, maple, and coconut sugar), which couldn’t be more perfect for my family’s dietary needs. Costs ~$2 more than regular ice cream shops, but it makes sense with premium ingredients. SOOOO creamy and decadent, truly better than other vegan ice cream I’ve had elsewhere. None of that sorbet stuff cuts it for me 🙅🏻‍♀️ And my 5yo son was able to have his first ice cream sandwich 🥹🙌 Thank you Vedder’s!!!

My bf and I stopped in here after a long morning at the beach and it was the most delightful tasty treat to end a beach day! I got the strawberry flavor in a mini cup and it’s the creamiest, most delicious non-dairy strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had! My bf got a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with mint and chip ice cream and it was equally delicious! If you’re ever in the area and you want a cool snack, I definitely recommend !

Had an amazing experience at Vedder’s! The gal working was so personable, let us sample, and explained what great ingredients are in the ice cream! It’s so amazing to find a place that has options for dietary restrictions and intolerances! 10/10 recommend the bananas foster, the cookie dough, and the strawberry flavors! The ice cream tastes so fresh! They have GF cookies as well that were very tasty!

Very Surprised. I was walking by and wanted ice cream, wasn't looking for vegan. The staff gave us samples and it was yummy. The ice cream sandwich with butter cookies was great!

I think these cookies are much better than Crumbl. This shop is very clean and decor is very aesthetically pleasing. Tristan helped me pick out the most delicious cookies. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and his customer service was outstanding. I will be back and I’ll be telling my friends.

CHIPzookie (COOKIE w ice cream & toppings) are OUTTA THIS WORLD!! This is a perfect cap to date night or family night! Staff was so friendly and helpful! The owner, Greg, was in the store when I was there and he is such a stud! It was cool talking to him about his business and how much they sincerely care about every customer being happy.

Not to say the flavors they had weren't a couple unusual (huckleberry?) but others typical like superman/super scooper, coffee, etc. Not anything homemade nor import from Wisconsin. Went slightly off-season before summer rush but I expect the place's location is what makes it convenient and just because of that they'll do volume business. I wish the store success but a Ben and Jerry's it is not.

Ice cream and yogurt. Gorgeous view of the beach and pier. It’s a must. We had the pinnacle and Mellon frozen yogurt. It’s really delicious. Just eat quickly, it will melt

Great ice cream shop steps from the pier. They serve Tillamook ice cream. Multiple varieties to accommodate everyone. Best value is the triple, which is easy to share among four people feel like each other! Wait times can be a little tedious as I only have one server who has to do it all. Just be patient and totally worth it!

Ice cream is great, stuff is super slow and ignorant. Didn’t like the sale guy was going all of way down with his body inside the display to grab ice cream and leaning his hair and shaking on top of the buckets .

This will be my must-go place in San Clemente. They offered incredibly huge scoops of ice cream and it tasted very good. The young lady serving me was friendly and nice too.

We bring our kids all the time and when family is in town we bring them as well. Everyone always loves it. Staff is so sweet all the time. We usually get ice cream and head across the street to the grass area for the kids to sit and enjoy their ice cream. You can also walk to the beach and enjoy 😊

Every time I come into town I see this place and think "hmm I should check it out". So this time I did. My whole family got Ice Cream and it was so good! We will be making it a tradition to get Ice Cream here every time we come into town.
