This place came as a recommendation from my aunt who is from Taiwan and is really tasty mango shaved ice! They let us know that they would be using frozen mango due to them being out of season, but the frozen mango was still very sweet and delicious. The almond jelly on the side is a great way to cut the sweetness from of shaved ice as well.

Great! Amazing, extremely fast service no queue. Although only problem is building has changed its look slightly so missed it when originally passing, but that may be due to decorations, otherwise amazing experience must eat in Taipei! The mango tasted amazing too!

This is a famous snow ice place, I remember enjoying it back in 2020, but this past time I went it felt like something was missing in the ice. It was still good and I still enjoyed it. Because they serve a lot, it’s always good to go with a friend and share one. I got the mango strawberry snow ice and asked for no condensed milk.

Went on 10/30, they told me they use frozen mango for the famous mango shave ice. This place is also very small and crowded. The flavor is meh, I honestly think the small hole in the wall shave ice place tastes better

The queue is extremely long due to the summer heat. We order two types of smoothies, strawberry and mango. The taste is so good, and I can say it is worth queuing up for your smoothie. Recommended.

We ate Mango shaved ice almost every night we were in Taipei (10 days) and this was the best. Some places the ice is crunchy or melted. This shaved ice was fluffy and light. Mango was in season and it was delicious. A neat little area to walk around and shop in as well.

Mango is not fresh and sweet, but sour. The taste is bad. Strongly recommend foreigners, Japaneses and Koreans, skip this place. It was good, but not anymore Me and my friend (two people) can’t even finish it.

This is the 2nd location I tried and it is very convenient if you are in 信義 area. The dessert place is always back and relatively smaller than the other shop a few block west of here. The quality is just as good and the view is a little nicer overlooking the street performance outside. The coffee shave ice is perfect with some hot monster option now during the winter season. Highly recommended for travellers and locals.

Simply great delicious shaved ice. We ordered the mango and it tasted simply amazing. It was not too sweet, the shaved ice was soft and fluffy like cotton, and the mangos tasted fresh and sweet. There are many choices to choose from. I'm hoping to try other flavors before I leave.

I am not sure how the 5-star reviews are being posted or what criteria are being looked at. Yes, it's a nice location and something different with many options to choose from. However, you will be eating something that is very sweet. Keep in mind the 1hour time limit per table. The portions are large so time may not be on your side. It's a great place to sit with a friend or group but with a time limit.

Really tasty Asian style ice creams similar to shaved ice. It's more restaurant style...they seat you, bring you a menu, take your order, and bring you your ice cream. Really great friendly service and deliciously tasty as well! Would definitely come back.

Dessert shop famous for mango shredded ice/ ice cream. Try the very local Taiwanese mango here! Really sweet, fruity and I like the silky taste of mango a lot! If you’d like to eat in, minimum NT100 per person is required.

Great shaved ice! Very very smooth ice. Love the mango and the jasmine/tea/lime combination. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Price are a little bit high but portion is huge.

My all time favorite snow ice is here: black sesame and almond!! Super fragrant with sweet almond scent and the black sesame is rich and nutty ♡ the broad beans are a perfect pairing and the sesame ice cream is creamy and a little gritty from the ground sesame inside 😋 I want to try their kiwi lychee one and beer pop rocks one next time!! ♡♡

I entered this place because I saw it full of locals and therefore I guessed it was good. I bought a pack of pinapple cake to take home as a souvenir, really nice packaging (and there was a girl working there that offered me to taste a small bite before purchasing them). The bag of 5 pieces was 100 NTD. We also bought 4 other items: a chocolate croissant (quite mediocre, not very sweet), a crispy doughnut (good but nothing life changing), a kind of focaccia (good but a bit strange since the dough was a bit sweet), and the walnut croissant (EXCELLENT, really really good). All these items were 160 NTD if I recall correctly. All in all I would recommend the bakery. It has a vast variety of products and they seem to be high quality, for a fair price. I would really recommend the walnut croissant, it was one of the best pastries I have had in Asia.

I buy here quite often when in Taipei. The bread and the pastries are good. However it's always very crowded and the service is somewhat lacking, although there is little to complain. They are regularly swarmed with customers in what is a very cramped shop. This causes issues sometimes. During one of my last visits they were serving me and another customer simultaneously. I bought two doughnuts and an apple pastry. At one point things got so confused in the crowd that i heard 135nt and i said ok. Then i gave the lady at the counter 1000nt and she returned 770nt and i had no receipt either. The confusion at the shop was such that I only realized much later. With no receipt found and me miles away by then, there was no point in going back to ask for clarifications for a few NT. But I think that the price was inaccurate. My guess is that, for some reason, they confused my bill with the bill of the customer being served with me who had more products than me scattered on the same counter and was still there when i left.

Just had a weird and frustrating encounter at this branch store. The ignorant, inconsiderate female employee was completely lacking in basic courtesy or common sense. Honestly felt like I was in a totally different store compared to the usual helpful and friendly I go to.

I’m a foreigner in Taiwan (I speak no Chinese) and there was a sign saying to ask for worker assistance to open the freezer. I didn’t know and a cashier yelled at me to ask for help in a rude way. This could have been said in a nicer way.

A small, cute little vegan ice cream shop. First time visiting. It was around 5pm on Tuesday. No one else in the shop. The girl working there recommended pistachio flavor. I picked pistachio and chocolate. Both flavors were great as well as the cone. Two scoops and a cone was $240, so not cheap but the entire shop is vegan. Would come back to try other flavors.

Our must visit gelato place in Taipei. Creamy and rich gelato paired with crispy waffle is divine. Quaint space and a great treat for a hot summer day in Taipei.

Such a wonderful gelato 😍 The best one I tried in a loooong time Many daily flavors, a delicious waffle that you can match with ice cream and the best affogato I had in Taipei ♥️ My guilty pleasure is to mix and match flavors together, I strongly recommend affogato with Coconut ice cream or chocolate waffle with Italian pistachio ice cream🍦 The shop owners and employees are so nice, they helped us in English and we even could try every daily flavors I am coming back all summer for sure ♥️♥️

We went to the gelato place after lunch as we needed to satisfy cravings of a little girl for some chocolate gelato. Been seeing the posts of Nice Cream on Instagram so I have been meaning to try it out and without disappointment the gelato was very delicious. Personally I loved the peanut and the season special dragon fruit passion fruit flavor which not only has the delightful purple color which caught my attention but the refreshing taste is also perfect for a hot summer afternoon! We also did try the new Sicilian pistachio but I think I have had something more intense in flavor somewhere else so it would not be my star choice compared to the ones previously mentioned. The chocolate is very creamy and indeed very 'chocolate'. As we have tried all the flavors in the shop with some being more intense than others it is only natural that those outshine the ones with more gentle flavor. I personally like intense bold flavors but was happy to try them all in the daily selection. The good thing is that one doesn't have to worry about being stuck with a flavor one doesn't like as one is allowed to get a tasting before making one's selection. So take your pick and choose what you like and if you can't make that decision and you are with friends, get the all day flavor and try them all! The shop is on the smaller side with tight space for people to sit and move around but cozy enough for one to have one's ice cream before it melts. The shop attendants are very friendly and they do take their time to explain to you - plus English is of course no problem - a pleasant afternoon dessert for sure! PS you should collect the loyal star if you intend on visiting again.

The atmosphere and service is good in here, with English menu. It’s cozy to have a drink and chat with friends here. The only disadvantage is the price, which is a bit expensive in general. 2020 Nov updated: The sandwich with meat is soooo good! It’s over my expectation. Waffle is just ok.

Average cafe. Only item that stands out is the brown sugar ginger milk, the sugar layer is torched like those of creme brûlée. Otherwise, food was average and price on the high side

Taste of little freedom! Like the deco and the time spent here! Good place to catch up with friends, have some wines and more! Nearby there is a parking lot and also near the yongkan street.

Coffee is decent and so is the service. During my visit, the music wasn’t blaring so it was ideal for chatting with friends or some reading. The price is on the higher side(on par or more than what you’d pay in any major European city), especially when you consider the average living cost in Taipei.

Lovely little spot for a coffee and light lunch. House roasted coffees expertly prepared and served. Great little sandwiches and cakes. Nice place to relax with a book and a coffee and let the world carry on. Cozy interior and a nice front with exterior seating too.

On Saturday and Sunday, there are a lot of people, but their waitress can help me well determine which cake or coffee to take I got strawberries, cheesecake, original cheesecake, and red berry chocolate cake. I can tell you that they’re not too sweet, rich if cheese, texture smooth. If you love coffee, you should try their ice latte. They serve with a Cute set of cold milk with an ice cube and hot espresso. The mood in the cafe is ok. There’re many tables, the toilet is clean, but there’s only one room. All in all, I love it. Worthy of trying!

Nice place with good seating space. They haven't cramped up the place to make room for more tables. Would definitely advice reserving before you go as there's always people waiting. The cakes are very fresh and sell out quick. They keep stocking new cakes when they run out. Freshness guaranteed with a small variety to choose from. Can get a bit loud with all the people, but that's like most other cafes in Taipei. Will definitely come back!

Visited 3:30pm on a weekday. Not crowded and there were plenty of tables offered. I ordered a package that includes 1. small size blanched iceberg lettuce; 2. dumpling combo of 4 pieces; 3. Steamed chicken rice with Chinese dried pork sausage 4. 1 piece of tara egg tart and an extra order of beef cheung fan (rice roll); chicken feet & deep fried glutinous rice dumpling The bill tootalled as NT905, that was including a 10% service charge (USD32). Maybe it was a bit too much for 1 person, but I finished everything. The taste were very Canton-authentic. dumplings were good, rice cooked perfect not too dry nor soggy, and the soy sauce mix that went with the rice & rice roll was rightly done. The egg tart was the only disppointment. The restaurant was very clean, including the washroom. the main dining area was nicely lit and good space in between tables. I was totally satified and I would go back for dim sum next time.

It's good, but to be honest, I think the Hong Kong branch is tastier. But this one isn't bad. When I went there, there weren't many people, so I didn't have to wait long. However, some of the food was served quite slowly.

I don't think the food quality is up to its price. We enjoyed some of our orders but beef noodle soup was total waste of TW $300. Am I gonna visit this restaurant again? I don't think so.

Located near Taipei Main Station, the restaurant is quite spacious. I went for dinner on a weekday, and it wasn’t too crowded. I ordered the prawn dumplings — they were good. The Pork and Shrimp Siew May and the Beancurd Skin Rolls with Shrimp were also really tasty. The baked BBQ Pork Bun, though, was a bit of a letdown. It tasted different from the ones at Tim Ho Wan in Singapore and Hong Kong. It didn’t have that familiar sweetness and was mostly just salty and savory, which was disappointing since it’s usually my favorite dish. Aside from that, the other dishes tasted just like the ones from Tim Ho Wan in Singapore and Hong Kong — consistent and well-prepared. Service was good, and the food came out pretty quickly. The atmosphere was comfortable, with a clean and modern Chinese restaurant vibe.

Finally tried a branch of popular Hong Kong Tim Ho Wan dim sum. Okay/good, but definitely not up to the level of Din Tai Fung (sadly also no soup dumplings, xiao long bao, at THW). Food (3.5 stars) was better than average dim sum places, but portion size small given prices (988TWD for 5 dishes & 1 milk tea). Didn’t enjoy their popular bbq pork buns - VERY buttery dessert like crust & excessively sweet pork/sauce inside, ate more like a dessert than a savory dish. Anyone watching their fat, sugar, calories shouldn’t bother ordering that 😕

I’ve been here many times, and the new dishes this time are definitely worth trying! Not only are they innovative, but the flavors are also truly excellent. The staff at this restaurant are very friendly and attentive, often proactively offering napkins and refilling water. They also take the time to briefly introduce the dishes before serving.

This is where Diner begins. Being a long supporter of Diner, this has been one of my favourite burger place. I did not order burger in this visit. In stead, I ordered ribs and other side dishes. Among these, nacho is the most satisfying treat, and rib is not. I would recommend to stick to other brunch items like burger, sandwich, eggs.

The Candied Bacon Eggs Benedict served with Hashbrown is good! Love the ambience and service as well despite the slightly long waiting-time. Free-flow drinking water is provided.

Smaller than I expected space, but nice atmosphere. Got there as they opened on a typhoon day. We got a healthy and tasty scrambled egg and salmon with avocado. It looked great and ended up very tasty. We also got a not so healthy fried chicken and biscuit breakfast. The fried chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. All the fixins were tasty too, not sure what one of them was, but it tasted like rice pudding and had bits of meat in it. Anyways, great brunch and quite filling. Oh, the hazelnut latte was good too. It had some sweetness to it.

Walked past this place many times and finally got a chance to try this dessert shop. It’s cheap and refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. Their signature sweet soup with chewy tapioca pearls and toppings like taro balls, sweet potato balls, and red beans is simple but satisfying. Even though there’s nothing particularly fancy, it’s a great place to enjoy authentic Taiwanese-style desserts at a very reasonable price.

Man, I really wish the ordering process wasn’t such a rushed, in-your-face vibe. Like, don’t just assume every customer knows your shop inside out and needs zero guidance. I was straight-up confused, staring at the menu like a deer in headlights, and your impatient side-eye didn’t help my ordering anxiety one bit. The Ice? Yeah, it’s legit tasty, no complaints there. But the service? Gotta dock you two stars for that.

My brother's ice store recommendation. He likes it and went here few times. The staff was friendly as always as my brother mentioned, cheap price, open until night, fast service, free ice, water and sugar refill, customize your own ice. I don't really much into this kind of ice but it was ok.

A delicious dive into traditional Taiwanese shaved ice — toppings galore and textures that dance on your tongue. But wow, it’s sweet enough to file a sugar tax return. Maybe ask them to go easy on the syrup unless you’re training for a hummingbird diet.

The best dessert to have on a hot summer day. I came here so many times during my trip just to get my fix for Taiwanese shaved ice! So many toppings to pick up. It is generally very busy but then around for tables are very quick! There's also a little station on the side where you can add more ice and sugar syrup!

They serve frozen mangoes, I guess they dont have fresh mangoes during a certain time. April to June it says for the fresh mangoes. Disappointing $260 as most people dont know. Ice cream is slightly sour, the shave ice is quite sour, the frozen mangoes make your teeth and gums get the frozen feeling as you bite on it. Maybe if I ever come back here during mangoes season , maybe I will have a higher review. Frozen mangoes and flavour gives it a sour 2 for me.

NTD260 for a bowl of mango shaved ice. The mangoes were pale yellow and very very sour. Very different from the shop’s picture. Just didn’t feel like we are taking a cool and refreshing dessert. We asked the staff and were told that mangoes are local product. The sour taste still leaves in my mouth as I write this review. Staff were very busy so please be patient and don’t expect them to greet or speak to you courteously.

Lady's were really great. You just point and pay and they will serve you at your table. Mango shaved ice cream was refreshing such a pallet cleanser.

We went there when the mango was all frozen so the mango shaved ice was not as good as the fresh one. It’s something you should share between a few people rather than eating one for yourself. The ice was slightly harder/icy and less soft and silky side. It was ok but I definitely had better.

I tried the savory ice cream with meat floss in! Very unique experience. But overall I would say It’s alright if you came from NZ/ Australia where ice cream/ gelato is as good as! But it’s good to eat and chill and it’s near the train station too.

The moment I looked at the menu, I was shocked. I have literally NEVER been to an ice cream shop that had such unique flavors! Ty ought I wish they would let you get a taster, it was still good. I recommend passion fruit and wasabi. It’s really yummy 😋

In Taipei it's not easy to get a European style ice cream, and it gets quite close to that. It's not cheap, but has very interesting flavours so I tried the meat floss and lychee. Meat floss really tasted like that, although it was a little creamy - I would recommend only to adventurous people 😅. It's funny that they exhibited a lots of awards and articles, but if you look closely those are actually about the owner's running results, not the ice cream. Nevertheless, I think it's worth a visit, this is the closest you can get to a gelato in Taipei:)

Passed by this ice cream many times over the years but never went in. Finally decided to go on a hot day and it was just alright. It’s a traditional store located near Ximen that serves a variety of unique flavors, like Taiwan Beer, Pork Floss, and Kaoliang liquor. We weren’t feeling too adventurous so we got some of the fruit-based flavors. Service is quick and the manager is relatively curt with her interactions with customers. No samples are available, she just kept saying “imagine the flavor, but cold” repeatedly. Seems like it’s advertised to foreign tourists abroad as there were a couple others that came in while we were eating there who weren’t Taiwanese. Although the flavors are unique, not sure if I’d come back to try them. We’ll see

Local ice cream bar, located on the second floor, offers variety choices of ice cream. The lady owner is super friendly and supportive. I tried ginger and walnut ice cream today and they were both amazing and refreshing.

Disappointing experience. The ice cream was overpriced for what you get—taste was very average, nothing memorable. The staff seemed indifferent and the service attitude was quite poor. Definitely not worth the price. If you’re in the area and craving something better, I highly recommend Yongfu Ice Cream nearby—much better value and a much friendlier experience.

Great ice cream and some very unusual savoury flavours like pork floss (famous) and pork knuckle. The flavours are very true.

One of the best local spots to find desserts that won't let you down! Do look out for some pricier options that in my opinion, is not worth it at all. Other than that, the shaved ice desserts are super refreshing and must have on a hot, summer afternoon. The milk king has definitely earned his crown 👑 here.

You have to have mango bing in Taiwan during the summer. It is so good. Especially after walking through the humidity. It is so refreshing. Their mango is so good. And their tangyuan is also quite delicious. I’ve been here many times and it still hits the spot. It’s not the best shaved ice you can get and it is more of a mom and pop shop than a nice clean franchise, but it is good and it has a special place in my heart!

This is one of the legendary dessert shops in Taipei, the building and interior are maintained like the old shops. It tastes very authentic, fresh to enjoy in the summer. The portions are quite large, but you can share with your friends. I really like the mixed beans shaved ice, delicious and refreshing. Mango shaved Ice is also delicious, the mango is sweet.

For the price it’s not worth it anymore. This was 150NT. Red bean, green bean, taro and peanut. Adding condensed milk was an extra 20NT. Portion size was not much. Much better to go to other shaved ice stores. Can get more toppings, more ice and cheaper in price and better taste.

We stopped by to cool down after nearly had a heatstroke under the blazing sun of Taipei. This has been a favorite of NTU’s students for many years. The last time we ate here was over twenty years ago and gladly to report that the quality had remain pretty much the same.

Update Nov 22: one year later the beautiful presentation was sacrificed for the sake of efficiency, it's now all plastic- the cup, the spoon, toppings are used sparely. The taste is still good but what a disappointment. All made in-house and you can taste that the 豆花 us very fresh. My favorite is the no-sugar option with plain soy milk and slightly sweetened peanuts. Just refrain from ordering it with hot milk, because the tofu is cooled down, so eventually you will get a weird hot-cold mix. This being said, I tried many different varieties here and all are super tasty. The atmosphere is great, the interior beautiful, staff very friendly.

Tasted the sesame soy milk and the taste was just okay for me. I think i needed to request for some melted sugar. The shop is cute though. Maybe will try others later when i get the chance to come back. Love their packaging and it comes in a plastic case

My children are so happy! All the food and beverages are above our expectations. So good and affordable.

Hands down the BEST soymilk I had throughout my whole taiwan trip!!! It's super rich and creamy. Even though there is no sugar added, you can taste the aroma of the soybeans. It's a must try and definitely come back here again in the future!

I had the vegan "Beyond Cinnamon Roll". I hadn't had a cinnamon roll before, so I didn't know what to expect. Well, it's a roll and it has a very cinnamon flavored coating. 🥁 The bread was slightly chewy (not super soft or fluffy) which was slightly surprising, but it tasted good. Near the center, there are some chopped pieces of walnut too. If you like cinnamon and aren't too picky about the texture of the bread, definitely give that a try. The store is a short walk from Dongmen station, which is convenient. The store attendant was helpful and tried to communicate in English given that I couldn't speak much Mandarin.

Cute little place. The soy putting with soy milk is very creamy, strong flavor of beans that you can smell it while tasting the putting. The high stool chair is also nicely designed, with cushion made with a tofu shape.

Interesting fusion/original side dishes for the set dinners. Not sure if entirely worth the money though. Had jelly for both the appetizer and dessert although different dishes. Atmosphere is kind of laid back in an historical Japanese home.

This mysterious place is hidden in a small road near NTNU. Can’t tell how many customers are in until you walk inside. They provide only set menu. With compulsory to have minimum average order of 800NT each person. Their Japanese style cuisine are beautifully presented. But our table view point can clearly see toilet bowl eventhough we ask them to pull down the curtain but another staff pull them up again. So the food tasted bad after all because of the toilet view.

Amazing experience. The only thing better than the food, which was just excellent, was the incredible service. Sashimi was amazing, the chawanmushi was addictive. Thank you to the wait staff and kitchen for going above and beyond.

Great dining experience at such an ancient preserved Japanese style home , overall. You can even book tours during day time. I had the meal set of seafood. Price range is high however you can still be pretty full by all the exquisite cuisine. You have to wear socks to go in, or else you have to purchase their NTD$10 socks. Which in my opinion is pretty decent :) We had the tatami room,which to be honest is quite uncomfortable to sit throughout the whole meal, but that’s just me.

Amazing! The quality of food is great! We have a great time here with yum food and relaxing ambience. A set includes a main dish, some side dishes, and unlimited rice and soup. One of side dishes— boiled winter melon is really yum. We got a cake for free because of birthday by adding line friends with the restaurant.

This restaurant is in a beautiful old Japanese house. You can walk inside the house even if you don’t eat here, and there is also regular guided tour. The food is Japanese and it is just above average. But given the price (dinner set starts from NT400), it is worth coming. Book well advance ahead though.

This restaurant didn't disappoint. It exceeded our expectations. The service was efficient, the staff knew exactly what to do. Pace of dishes was not rushed, giving us ample time to enjoy each course while putting in conversations during and between courses. We couldn't get the lobster selection as we didn't pre-order. The sashimi was excellent and special mention would be the grilled pork. Certainly worth a 2nd visit.

People definitely go here for the view, so expect the price to be high. Dining requires a NT300 minimum spend per person. I ordered the tiramisu and cheesecake—both were really good, smooth, and with just the right sweetness. The brown sugar latte was also excellent. Price felt justified for the quality, ambiance, and the experience of being on the 88th floor. Menu is limited, but what they serve is done well. It took around 15 minutes for our order to be served, which was reasonable. We didn’t wait long to get a table, though window seats can be harder to snag. I dropped by Simple Kaffa at Taipei 101 because everyone raved about it, but honestly, finding my way around was quite an adventure! It’s a bit confusing since there were no staff around to assist and I wasn’t sure where to order or sit at first. But once I finally settled down… wow. The view from the café made it all worth it! Sipping coffee while looking out over Taipei’s skyline felt absolutely magical. The atmosphere is calm, aesthetic and perfect for relaxing or taking those “coffee-with-a-view” shots.

There is a staff on the first floor telling you how to get up there. You have to take the lift to 60 floor then change another to 88 floor. The staff was friendly, they told us to drink on the green side of the cup for a richer flavour. View Located on 88 floor in a shopping mall with a very view. There some seats near the big window which provides a wide view of the city as well as part of the mountain. Drink It provides a wide range of coffee selection. We ordered 3 black coffee and a cappuccino. The taste of coffee was exceptional with rich flavour. The milk is creamy and tasted balance with the coffee in the cappuccino. Food We ordered two matcha cake and two honey cake. The matcha cake was delicious, the matcha cream had a very rich texture and flavour. The honey cake was alright. Price We reserved a table for 4 besides the big window. It has a minimum order fee of 2000 NTD, which equivalent to a cake and a cup of coffee. It is a bit pricy in my opinion and may not be a choice for daily coffee. Overall, great coffee and food but a bit expensive.

Once inside, the atmosphere is cozy and refined, with breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. Prices are on the higher end, but that’s expected given the location and quality. You’re paying for the experience as much as the drink — and it delivers. Try to go early or on a weekday to avoid the worst of the crowds.

Cafe Simple Kaffa Sola is located on the 88th floor of Taipei 101. In the lobby, there’s a receptionist who handles takeaway orders and cafe reservations. To made an order I had to queue for quite a long time because the receptionist explains to each person the minimum charge and time limit. Then we webt up to the 88th floor. The minimum spend for takeaway is NT$250/person. For dine-in, it’s NT$300 per person for regular seating, NT$2,000 per table for window seats, and NT$3,000 per table for bay window seating. There’s also a 90-minute time limit for dine-in customers. When I arrived in the afternoon, the cafe was quite crowded, and I had to wait about 30 minutes—so I ended up choosing takeaway instead. If you want to avoid waiting, it’s best to make a reservation a few days in advance through the link on their Instagram. I tried one of their three signature coffee: Smoky Southern Taiwan. It includes espresso, Taiwanese jelly, white gourd syrup, and osmanthus. The coffee itself was on the lighter side, possibly to let the osmanthus aroma come through. It had a nice floral fragrance and a subtle smoky note that made it interesting. The jelly was generous and the sweetness was well balanced—not overly sweet. Overall, it had a unique flavor that I really enjoyed. However, in my opinion it tastes more like an osmanthus tea than a coffee. So if you’re specifically looking for a coffee, this might not be the best choice. But if you’re open to trying something different, it’s definitely worth a shot. Even if you’re just getting takeaway, you can still enjoy the view of Taipei from several windows next to the cafe (though there’s no seating there). The service was friendly and the serving duration was reasonable.

I really love the crepes at Lady M — they come in a variety of flavors, and each one has its own delicious charm. The atmosphere in the shop is cozy and pleasant, and the drinks are also great. The store is exquisite and the traffic flow is well organized. Their mille crêpe cake features no less than twenty paper-thin handmade crêpes layered with light pastry cream, and the cakes indeed melt in the mouth. The appearance of the cakes are just fine. Would love to have more if my budget allows.

Heard a lot reviews from this shop, both good and bad ones. And finally I managed to get these two slices of Crepe cakes from their pop up shop at Sogo Department Store. I love both of these two flavours- Rose and Earl Grey tea, so exquisite and lovely, though quite pricey as well. It’s indeed worth trying!

Choose to go this time, the cakes are still good as usual. But I still recommend you all to dine in, I really love the decoration and their service. The strawberry one is my favorite, also tried new one, popcorn pie, that’s a little bit sweet but acceptable. The only part I am not satisfied is the price. We were greeted by 90 mins dine-in rule plus one cake + one drink per person minimal spend. My son does not like to have drinks and was forced to ordered their orange sparkling because he is taller than 110cm. When we asked for a straw as my son is still not good at drinking without a straw. The clerk told us the paper straw is for takeaway only and cannot be provided when you dine-in. I asked if I can pay for the difference to get the straw as I understand they charged more for takeaway. The clerk refused without any consideration to a simple customer request. If you are enforcing so many rules and force customer to spend. Provide a paper straw is not that difficult if you got it in front of you. Cake and drink were average. If you want good customer service there are many better places in Taiwan. I respect rules and policies but it’s about common sense and courtesy if you charging $100 AUD for 4 cakes and drinks.

The moment you walk in, your appetite kicks in with so many breads and pastries to choose from—it’s such a treat! It feels just like a trendy brunch spot overseas, which I really enjoy. The place is always bustling with people. They offer many unique dishes and specialties. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. I quite liked it—definitely recommend!

Was feeling tired and wanted a snack and drink while exploring Zhongshan on 20/10, found this bakery on google map and decided to try it out as I like cinnamon rolls. The cafe atmosphere is very good. Relaxing and instagrammable. The male service staff at the counter (6-7pm) has very good attitude, recommended the pastries to us patiently and i got to try the limited edition cinnamon roll. It’s very delicious! Their tiramisu is great too. If we are locals, I will definitely come often. The next time we are back to Taipei, will surely come visit again 😍

Ordered cinnamon roll online and the service is taken by 自由食間, which is an e-commerce platform that let you self pick-up your delivery at the machine. Need to add their line account and they will send you instructions on how to get your delivery. The cinnamon roll tastes nice and fluffy. Would like to try their food at the shop.

Finally! A bakery in Taipei that makes Cinnamon rolls like they should be. They are soft, moist, and the right flavors. Good size too. I'm so happy I don't live near by because I would go broke. My favorite is for sure their sticky cinnamon rolls and their chocolate cake (which is not too sweet!), yummmm.

The cosy French-American style ambience drew us in. Came around 5:45pm for a lil' dessert tho we were immediately reminded by staff that the shop would close at 7 PM. Their carrot cake was nice - not too sweet and with crunchy nuts. Matcha latte was pretty OK: foamy, rich, and not overly sweet either. A good visit during off-peak hours if you're looking for quaint vibes ~

To address the negative reviews, my first time here but still had a fine experience. Taiwan is good for having strong coffee culture, but that also means an oversaturation of cafes. This one has a nice vibe that seems to value quality coffee and its regular customers. Some have commented on the boss/clerks attitude. You seat yourself, you let the boss clear the table, it's not immediately clear for newcomers. But I can appreciate what he's doing, just from my initial visit, sitting at the front bar and observing the flow, he's busy soloing all the orders and tables, he seems to have a good working rhythm and standard to what he does. The coffee is very well made, and the single origin drip selection is interesting and reasonably priced. There seems to be consistent visits of regulars, who are treated well. It appears to me the boss cares about his craft and community, and with the high traffic and attention due to internet and social media, he probably has to deal with a lot with an already busy workload. Maybe that's not a good enough reason, and service and being welcomed is important. It seems people easily get offended when those expectations aren't met, which makes sense, but everyone should have perspective. Some businesses simply operate with different values and mission. For what it's worth the coffee is excellent and when you sit down and feel the flow it's a unique and earnest atmosphere that makes Taipei coffee culture still exciting and varied.

The shop was busy, but the service was very good. The owner was very nice and welcoming. He gave me good information about Taipei and tried to help me find a place to change money.

This is a popular cafe in Taiwan. I came upon it on the first day of my business trip here, and decided to stroll in. And I'm really glad that I did! As with most cafes in Taiwan, it is quite pricey, but everything here was really delicious and I easily finished everything I ordered. They use really fresh ingredients, and the interior of the cafe is very stylish. Everyone I met during this trip agreed that Kiosk is a great cafe. It's definitely worth checking out if you visit Taiwan!

Love the coffee here and love working here. I’ve been coming back since 2020 and they have never dropped their standards. The coffee is legit, high quality and very tasteful, while the space feels cozy and comfortable. There is a long table that’s perfect for working with a laptop, along with low, comfy seats and coffee tables for a more relaxed vibe. The bench seating in front of the shop is also a great spot to chill, especially on a good weather day. Only the owner works here, but his service is always friendly and efficient.

My friend and I order iced latte and iced mocha, both of them are excellent. The coffee tastes quite strong and not sour, the kind that I like. The mocha tastes sweet because of the chocolate, and the coffee is not too strong. Power plugs available on most tables, wifi is fast, the music is also relaxing. Great place to chill or work.

If you are a tea lover then this is the first place you have to go in Taipei! In a old japanese building, this place has been an important cultural center in Taipei history. Very good tea selection, in a wonderful cozy place.

When they get busy, they won't be able to spend a lot of time talking with you about tea, but the atmosphere is very nice and tranquil. I can't speak for the regular food, but the snacks that you can get with tea are good. Recommend getting here early on a weekday so there's no wait. Service was friendly, and there is an English menu for those who need it. You are required to spend 400NTD per person, which is reasonable. This is a nice place to relax with some tea in the middle of Taipei.

It looks like a very unassuming place from the outside. But once you enter, it’s a cute little traditional tea shop. As I was dining alone, and they were out of places in the main dining area, I was allowed to take up a table in the tatami room. This room felt like a place out of time. A throwback to traditional Japan. All the staff were very patient with me as I told them I didn’t know how to prepare my own tea. The staff who helped me was very patient and answered all my basic questions. If you’re looking for some respite from the cold or from the bustle of city life, this is the ideal spot for it. (your experience is also dependent on the civic mindedness of the other patrons, if they are loud, it detracts from the atmosphere)

I learned about the tea ceremony and it was magical. If you are in Taipei, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy yourself with your loved ones. The perfect peaceful atmosphere while tasting how the tea flavor in its different types changes as it is shared in the typical handmade tea pots. Absolutely beautiful.

Well preserved tea house dating from 1920. Good value for lunch at NT$390+. 2 main dining rooms: 1 in tatami mat style, low tables, no chairs; other with normal tables & chairs. Service is reserved but they warm up to polite guests. Dinner reservations required, do not trek over there without booking ahead. Lunch is possible without prior booking, but still advised to do so. English is spoken.

Lovely teahouse with a great selection of teas produced by the owners and their partners. I ordered one of their own Pu'er productions and wasn't disappointed. Soaking in the relaxed atmosphere of this historic place, I enjoyed my tea from the first to the last steep. The staff was very helpful and even took the time to share some stories on the teahouse and its historic customers. If you're into tea, this place should be one of your top priorities in Taipei. Prices certainly aren't cheap, but it's well worth the experience!

The ice tasted really bad, ordered the recommended milk tea shaved ice but tastes like soybean milk. It's cheap but real bad. They have English menu but they gave us after they don't know what to say. The Chinese menu don't have English translation & the English menu don't have the Chinese version. So when the staff showed us the English menu, they don't know what we ordered because it doesn't have Chinese translation 😂 But the staffs are friendly.

Ordered grass jelly signature, asked for no ice by calling 1-2 minutes after, lady said too late. We had chose less ice option on Uber eats app. Sure… later received the order and it has at least 50% ice if not more, not sure what less ice means.

I love meet fresh 鮮芋仙! My parents and I came here twice in Nov 2022 & Dec 2022 when we were staying in the area. My mom and I highly recommend the taro paste! We have dou hua very often when we are visiting. I appreciate that they offer to add more ice and syrup if we don’t finish our dessert and ask to take it to go.

A comfortable, spacious cafe. Enjoyed the cappuccino I ordered. Normally cinnamon isn't sprinkled on cappuccino in Taiwan, but I was asked if I'd like cinnamon. It was thoughtful of the barista to ask.

Pretty average. 1. Staff/barista all grumpy looking, no smile of any kind though the visit. Female staff that took our order has a really sour and lethargic look on her while tksing our order. Service was lack lustre and without enthusiasm. 2. Pourover and flat white order taste OK. Don't really like the mug used for the brew, as it resembles a large saucer with a tiny winy handle. 3. Slick and cool vibe with the typical cafe industrial interior, but lacks character. Overall, it was an OK visit but there are better options especially on the service element.

This review is focused on the service level provided at this particular location. Tarts are good but the staff is strange. After waiting in line they Made me get out of line because some of the tarts I wanted were cooling. Then sold all of the other tarts while I had to wait. In my opinion they should follow the standards of the Tokyo locations and let you order the number of tarts, pay and set the ones you order aside until all the order is ready. But hey what do I know, I just go here.

Came to try their pastries and bread 3 times, so i was sure of my impressions. I heard a lot about them, and I think it is overrated. tried the chocolate croissant, sourdough, and a few other pastries. You d better go to la boulangerie de monge, numero quatre with their pain au chocolates, or lutetia in tianmu.

Purebread has been a favourite of ours since 2018 and it remains a place we return to whenever we are in Taipei. Their bread and pastries are consistently delicious and of excellent quality. Since their relocation, however, the service feels less welcoming. The staff, though very pretty, often appear with rather sour expressions, which is a shame as it does take away from the otherwise lovely experience.

Purebread consistently delivers excellent quality bread — fresh, flavourful, and thoughtfully made. It’s one of my favourite bakeries. However, today’s visit was disappointing due to one staff member’s particularly poor attitude. Service here has always been a bit hit-or-miss, but this time it really fell short. I hope the store will invest more in staff training to ensure a consistently welcoming customer experience.

I've tried most of the breads here, including the monkey bread, different flavors of sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, cinnamon bun, cruffin, and more. Personally, I find the Danish pastries and desserts to be mediocre, and the sourdough isn't outstanding. Surprisingly, my favorite is the baguette, despite it not being a sourdough. I love the texture and the fragrance of the wheat in this baked good.

Here you can find one of the Best croissants and sour-dough breads in Taipei. Its location isn’t the best for tourists who are traveling in public transports only - you would need to walk for 5-10mins from the nearest metro or bus station. However, it is certainly worthy to plan a visit especially if you like croissant. Very impressed even the breads weren’t the freshest when I visited after 6pm the first time!! Returning in my next visit to Taipei (during the day time 😀) - simply the best!!

Popular and tasty desserts in this night market. Inside seats are bit crowded, most people choose to take desserts away. We waited around twenty minutes for ordering and we tried both grass jelly and Aiyu. Both are good, especially icy lemon aiyu, which I like the most, really relieves summer heat. The price is bit high but considering its location, it’s reasonable.

I think this place has been famous for long time. I love their tapioca balls and the kumara ball. They are chewy and soft but not super chewy, just a good consistency. It’s not over sweet as well if you after something quite refreshing. Basically I would recommend the top left section. First 1 and 2 is Aiyu base so it’s more refreshing and healthier. 3rd is herbal jelly which if you like herbal taste then go for it. 4th is the soy pudding, be aware this is Asian soy not western soy, which I preferred

綜合仙草冰 comes with grass jelly, taro balls, red bean and pearls. Big serving and the taro balls were the best!!! The pearl was a bit hard and the ice was more rough than other places but overall was good! I finished one whole bowl but it's enough for two.

仙草 dessert was really delicious! I think what makes it great is a nice balance of soft texture and sweetness (not too sweet), which is rare for a dessert place. Also the amount of ice that they put isn't overpowering. I recommend this place. There can be lines but they move relatively fast as most people know what they want they usually take it away since there isn't that much space to sit in the restaurant.

The desserts being sold here are certainly a local specialty - aiyu jelly. It’s well known in Taiwan because it’s made by figs pollinated by a species of wasp that can allegedly only survive and reproduce in Taiwan. You either love or hate jelly, but if you like it you’re going to find this place tasty. Unfortunately I didn’t have the best dining experience because the shop owner made us finish our food in a hurry and made us move around to wipe the counter at which we were sat. Maybe the shop was closing? Either way, it was quite annoying I also don’t recommend coming here if you have large bags/luggage with you, it’s so tiny

Good desserts place which is crowded with locals. I had a Grass Jelly and Ai Yu Jelly ice Combo which tastes great. They do not put alot of syrup which is perfect for me.

I don’t really get the situation that quite lots of 5 stars reviews for this place. Their iconic tofu pudding is actually just really average quality, and I can understand due to its location, its rental must be high, but 65 Taiwanese dollars for this quality is not that acceptable. Well... not my cup of tea.

The tofu pudding (tau huey/豆花) is average. Beef noodle is claim to make from scratch. The beef is soft and tender, the noodle is chewy type and the broth is good.

Favourite cafe so far. The pork rice is very good and has big portion. Love the service, the waiters are friendly.

Be ware - 宇宙第一牛肉麵 is slightly spicy even though the menu did not have a chilly pepper symbol next to the dish - also we asked for a bowl of plain broth so that my child could eat it, that was also spicy so didn’t help the situation. Overall we enjoyed the meal, nice, quiet space and unobtrusive staff.

Lovely brunch spot. Highly recommended. We ordered a toast each, my husband ordered 2 scrambled eggs on the side to enjoy with his toast, I recommend doing this if you like more protein in your meal. My avocado toast was delicious with the beetroot hummus and halloumi cheese to balance the flavors. We both ordered flat whites and a pillowy blueberry muffin for our sweet tooth craving.

Fresh & bright place. Excellent bilingual efficient service with a smile. The food was just okay — the menu makes the dish I had more interesting than it actually was — but the coffee was excellent. Quite loud inside but you could probably carry out a conversation depending on where you are seated. Though I didn’t try them, the cookies displayed by the cashier look very good.

A trendy, upmarket choice for breakfast, brunch and cafe fare. The quality is high and service is quick. The low-to-no meat menu is rare in Taipei. The crowd is a mix of locals and tourists. You order at the counter and it is brought to your table. A small selection of local produce is available to buy... The hot sauces were great.

Really cute cafe with a health-conscious menu and great coffee and tea drinks. I got the Ginger Miso bowl, which was tasty, and the lattes we got were expertly made and beautifully presented. However, service was fairly slow, and they forgot about one of our orders. Overall, a nice place for brunch, as long as you're not in a rush.

Well made and surprisingly well seasoned healthy food. This location is a bit smaller but the service is good and the staff at this location seem to like dogs a lot. People who really love dogs usually have good hearts. Glad to see this place expand into multiple restaurants and still keep their good consistent quality and uniqueness. I don’t mind paying more for good quality food, environment and service.

Maybe I just didn’t order the best thing but I wasn’t impressed with the chicken bowl. A bit expensive for what it was. I remember the food being much better in years past. Cinnamon roll was a bit dry.

I recently visited a dessert stores and we ordered a set of dessert which serves delicious Millefeuille and has an impressive selection of teas. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was top-notch. I especially enjoyed trying some new teas that I hadn't tasted before. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a unique culinary experience and a warm, inviting atmosphere. But their desserts run out soon so need to visit as early as possible

Have been here many times before and after they remodeled the shop. The newer interiors allow a lot more light into the café and give a more elevated feel. The desserts and savory food have always been good and every friend/family member I’ve brought here has been happy with what they ordered. On top of that, the service is great. An easy favorite in Taipei.

It’s a beautiful, cute and cozy pastry cafe. They’re popular for their cakes and pastries. The dishes are good although I have to say they are a bit on a pricier side for Taipei. It reminds me of cafes I would find in Antwerpen and Brussel. Their pasta is reasonably priced but their gnocchi is a bit too soft for my taste. Wow! Pleasantly surprised. Food was amazing. The atmosphere can be a little noisy as it is a smaller space with all hard surfaces. The food portions were small for me but well executed. The desserts are simply amazing and I look forward to coming back. The hours are short so make sure you check if they are open.

It has the word sugar in the name, but I left with a bitter taste in my mouth. No doubt the place was done up very nicely and cosy, but the wait staffs are very hostile and talk under their breathes. I could barely hear them when I’m standing next to them. I honestly forgotten to pay the bill and the staff questioned me as if I’m some thief. The tone, the expression on his face were all not pleasant. It’s indeed my fault that I didn’t pay, but he could’ve approach in a nicer way. Homely in the picture, but felt really hostile in person.

My friend ordered a tea and I ordered a lemon tart, but I was told "one person, one drink" or you can't stay here. The lemon tart costs the same as the tea and I didn't want a drink, so it seems like a ridiculous policy. We got the tea to-go and didn't order the lemon tart. Solid choice for the overnight digital nomad. Basically one of the only late night coffee shops open in Taipei. I’m actually not familiar with any other coffee shops open until 4 am like this place is. Sure there are hangout spots that serve coffee but they aren’t geared towards working and studying. EVERYONE here at 2 am is studying or working. I believe it’s mainly students in here. This place will typically be almost filled to capacity between 12-1 am and then starts opening up around 2 am ish I think. Young Taiwanese chilling outside while breaking. It’s got this hipster coffee shop vibe.

I’ve been here several times. Really enjoy the lazy/cozy atmosphere here, also the Viennese cappuccino is one of my favorite choice! Chocolate muffin is a must when you go with coffee. If you’d like to get something salty, Japanese fried noodle and dumplings are also tasty! (Yes they sell dumplings in coffee shop lol) Here’s very popular so you’d better come here earlier or make a reservation.

The best late night study/work cafe in all of Taipei.

I had a ginger hot chocolate milk for 170 ntd. My friend had a hot chocolate milk con brown sugar for 150 NTD so for sure this place isn't cheap. The minimum order here is one drink. A simple cola is 100 ntd. Positive is the setting looks cosy. Negative...the staf should really learn to smile. They looked very grumpy. There's a small rainbow flag next to the front door so I assume this is a gay friendly place and considering I saw many guys who look gay or where even watching gay apps lol I'm sure it's frequented by gay guys. For people who like anime books they have a collection you can read. I noticed many people use the place to work...perhaps even too many because laptopscreens everywhere 😲 so there were only few places left to sit 😧. I presume the price for a drink is like this because too many people just order a drink and use the space to work 😑.

The drinks taste great, but being in a tourist area and being in customer service, you would expect much better interactions. Asking clarifying questions made me feel like I was an idiot for not being familiar with certain ingredients. The replies were blank stares with snickering eye rolls from other workers in the back. I made sure to ask as politely as possible and this was when I was the only customer in line so I wasn't holding up anyone. There were only two scenarios in my mind, either I'm a total idiot for not knowing what things should taste like or how it's made or the the workers were NPCs that haven't been updated with the latest update on human interaction. Such a shame.

I flew 6800 miles out of SoCal to see if SOMA really had just gotten worse in the US, but will still the gold standard in the motherland. But, once again, I was greeted again with same bland watered down milk tea. Gone is the creamy and fragrant milk teas that once blessed their menus. In with the colored water. I think they have changed their recipe, and put more water in their drinks. The original Soma milk teas since 2019, that I once raved about, are really no longer the same. 又給了SOMA一次機會、可是他們現在的奶茶味跟以前完全不一樣。好失望喔～

The fruit cake was very good. There was a generous amount of fruit both on top and inside the cake. The sponge cake was moist and not too sweet. The cream was also not very sweet and very fresh tasting. I didn’t enjoy the coffee. It is just very bitter. Even the milk couldn’t soften the ultra bitter taste. Noise level is medium high.

First visited this shop was about 5 years ago (2017), it is great to see this cafe is still standing strong and survived COVID period. Good location, great coffee and friendly service. A very good place to spend quality time with friends for a relaxing afternoon. Cake is amazing and delicious, fruity, creamy and not overly sweet. Awesome experience.

The staff was very friendly in helping me pick out my drink. I ended up getting their new matcha latte (unsweetened) and subbed for oat milk instead. We also got the strawberry chocolate cake which was really delicious…. thick chocolate ganache frosting with sweet strawberries to balance. The latte art was beautiful as well- needless to say. Will definitely be back soon.

Great coffee. Very long wait. I was happy to get a shot pulled on a Slayer with the long preinfusion. The barista did nice work with the latte art of other drinks, but I didn’t get a chance to try any. Stylish interior with a few small tables. Recommended.

Laku-Laku Coffee has been around for some time. They always have their regulars for a reason. They’ve maintained their quality service throughout. I’ve only been here three times in the span of 5 years. This place hasn’t shown a hint of aging or tired management. I gotta give them kudos for that. Great coffee and desserts, the tiramisu was fantastic! Free wifi and outdoor seating made remote work very easy and enjoyable.

Prices are reasonable and acceptable. The lemon pond cake is moisture and really yummy. It is a popular spot for reading, working, studying, charting or simply spending time enjoying their coffee!

Had to wait a while for a seat. First time see ristretto on the menu, had to order it. Didn't expect much as the Italian style coffee is not major theme in Taiwan. However, this ristretto surprised me as it is good. Nice a buttery with good balance of bitter and sourness. Definitely recommend.

One of my favorite cafe in Taipei. Everything's on point from coffee, dessert to sandwiches. Also like how their staff treating customers, friendly enough but not overreacted. The atmosphere is nice for doing your own work while you won't feel stressed to talk (not too loudly of course) with friends.

Dessert is good and the staff is very friendly. The minium order required is a drink, which means you must order a drink no matter what, even tho you only want the cake. Or you’d have to take out. I’m fine with it since many cafes in Taipei do that. But one thing pity is that they don’t have decaf tea options. And I don’t drink milk. So the only thing I could order from the menu is juice.

The tea flavor is there but probably fig isn’t a strong enough fruit to go with it so feel a little sad. But overall agreeable.

The Matcha Orange Blossom Mille-Feuille is amazing. Must try!

I had used ubereats to order it’s cake, but the texture was too thick and the flavor was a bit too sweet.

3.5 Stars. Place serves up some fancy looking cake and will take reservations sp its a okay place to have a get together. Minimum charge is one drink per person (cakes don't count) and there wasn't a dining time. Cakes taste pretty good (I really liked their earl grey cake) and each cake slice runs about 200NT.

Used to go to the old location when it was just a small hole in the wall and cakes were limited to few per day. Delicious , delectable but the change in style has made the place tending to be overcrowded . Beware that cakes sell out fast, the combination with tea can still be improved

The brown sugar latte was too sour for my taste, but the desserts were great. The waiter and waitress were a bit too busy but they were very friendly and helpful when approached. I would visit again.

It's ok, came at 8pm and many things were sold out, so didn't get to try the Tundra or the Sundae. Prices are highly affordable, good for a sweet stop. The float was a bit warm so ice cream melted fast and not cold any more, and the apple tart, iced chocolate and afrogato were very ordinary.

Wide selection of chocolate all over the world. Also serve local chocolate beans to bar drinks. Chocolate fondue was serve chill. And gets warm with a very weak candle. Beside the chocolate would be better served hot. The dish was delicious. Perfect for 2. Dishes are mostly including chocolate. Matched surprising well than I imagined.

Interesting restaurant. We really admire the creativity that this business owner if offering to the public. The chocolate is beyong standard and we really enjoy the spicy chocolate !! Very nice and cosy place to meet some friends. For lovers of chocolate it is the perfect place as they have not only desserts but also dishes made with chocolate (however didn't try the dishes) We ordered the tundra cake and the churros. - Tundra cake: very nice if you do love dark chocolate, however I don't recommend it for people who prefer sweet chocolate cakes. Note that the texture is quite compact, I like it like that but it's not the taste of everyone. - churros : they serve 4 churros per set. be careful it is not serve with melted chocolate but only with sugar! you need to ask the chocolate separately if you want ot (+40ntd). The texture is nice and it tastes a bit of cinnamon. With chocolate it is much better. Overall, very nice place with affordable prices!

Very nice chocolatey experience. Good range of iced and hot chocolate drinks. The seafood chocolate lasagna was very rich, unusual and nice (but also contained a fair amount of bacon, so not suitable for pescatarians or some religious observers!). The chocolate roast chicken was also good, especially after a good squirt of the lime; the only let down was the scoops of cold, instant mash potato it came with.

If you're looking for chocolate, you found it. Tiny little shop with absolutely wonderful flavors. Only a few seats inside and more seating on the outdoor deck. Tons of decorations and a really warm and cozy atmosphere. A lot of care goes into their food. It's not cheap but it's a really cute date spot.

Their "70% dark hot chocolate" (if that's how you translate it) is just awesome. Not too sweet, not too bitter. It's a little on the pricey end but I think it's still cheaper than Starbucks hot chocolate? Definitely can visit if you're chocolate fan.

This place was recommended to me by Erica from ‘Ice Gyaru’ (Vegan Icecream shop) when I asked her where to find vegan bubble tea. Staff speaks perfect English and are extremely kind and helpful. I used to drink boba before going vegan and was so happy to see that everything here is fully plant-based, with options that feel more creative than the traditional versions. The process is simple, you select your tea base, choose a nut flavour and then pick a cream topping. You can also decide the ice and sugar percentage which is a nice touch. I went for pistachio cream and they even give you a little spoon so you can scoop it. The cream was quite sweet but since I had no sugar in my tea it balanced out perfectly. Prices are reasonable and the flavours feel special. There is no seating area so it is takeaway only, but I would definitely come back for another.

One of the best beverage I had in Taiwan. They specialize in tea with nut cream. Service was quick and staffs were friendly. They spoke really good English. Heres what we ordered: EARL GREY TEA WITH CHOCOLATE NUT CREAM. This is the only way I want my earl grey tea to be. We know how earl grey tastes but the real star of the show was the chocolate nut cream which was heavenly! It was light, creamy, a bit salty, hints of nuttiness, perfectly sweet. I cannot emphasize how good this was. MATCHA WITH NUT CREAM. Matcha was perfectly whipped with the right hint of bitterness. The original nut cream was definitely so much creamier and nuttier than the one described above. One sip and it blew my mind how amazing this cream was. Overall, I would love to come back to Taiwan and just drink this. Thank you for this experience!

I'm allergic to dairy so I've mostly ordered plain and fruit teas throughout my stay in Taiwan. Nuttea made drinking milk tea not only possible but also very enjoyable. I've only tried three of their drinks but I've ordered each one at least five times. The quality (tea flavor, nut cream flavor, tea-cream ratio) is consistent, and the drinks taste great even with minimal sugar and ice. If you're going for the first time, consider getting the Oolong Nut Milk Tea. If you're looking for something with a lot more flavor, the Earl Grey Chocolate Nut Milk Tea is sure to please.

Ordered four seasons tea with nut cream 30% sugar and ice plus boba. Would not recommend adding boba as they are small and got stuck in the straw often. Besides that the drink was so good after mixing with the nut cream. Also tried matcha with nut cream at 30% sugar and ice. The matcha by itself was a bit bitter but combined with the creaminess, it became so much better. Will definitely miss this.

I had to come here twice during my short stay in Taipei. Vegan milk tea with nut foam cream on top?! Yes please! I've never heard of a vegan version of the non-vegan milk tea cheese foam topping before this. It is DELICIOUS! Salty and sweet at the same time, and they give you a lot of it too, on top of your drink. Plus there are so many salivating and intriguing flavors to choose from, and it is very customizable as well. There is not really any seating, more of a cute little hole in the wall for to-go. I got the earl grey tea with chocolate nut cream at 75% sweetness, which was pretty sweet, decadent and rich. The second time, I got the oolong tea with hojicha nut cream at 0% sweetness, which most people might find not sweet enough but I found it to be a very pleasant light-sweet with the nut cream mixed in. These drinks were definitely the most unique and delicious drinks I had in Taipei!

Updated: 2025/03/09 The new staff on Sunday at 4:30 PM could benefit from more training. I love this brand so much, but the way she served the ice cream was quite disappointing—the portion was noticeably smaller than usual(the cup photo is 4month ago, the cone is recently they serve), which made me feel like I wasn’t getting the full value. It also seemed like she was rushing through the task without much care, as if she just wanted to get it done quickly and move on to her phone. I hope the service can be more consistent in the future. If you want to eat milky, creamy, cheesy, delicacy soft serve ice cream, this is the place you’re looking for!! I’ve visited many many many times, never disappointed once. Special flavors also great and surprised everytime. I love both waffle cone and cup with cheesecake and cookie. If you want crunchy texture together with the soft ice cream, please go for the cone one. For the cup, I really enjoy cheesecake with ice cream, it gives a combo smooth creammmmmy texture, I’d go for it when I’m really craving for sweets. Personally, I think cookie is just ok. There are limited seats and not really comfortable to hangout.

Only shop in Taiwan for this famous Japanese cookie brand. Their milky 'Langues de Chat' cookies are just iconic and their soft serve ice cream (milk and/or cheese flavour) is just unbelievably good! Make sure not to miss this gem.

The cheese cake is pretty tasty, but the soft serve isn’t really my type. A bit too heavy for me. (I do like cheese but ain’t a super enthusiast by the way)

Got a chance to try the “Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory” ice cream. I was trying the mix flavour, combination between cheese and milk flavour. The ice cream was coming along with Cheesecake and Salt & Camembert crackers. The taste was great, it wasn’t too sweet and the combination of crackers, cheescake, and ice cream were perfectly blended. The price for this type of menu is around 200NTD.

To be honestly, this is amazing taste that I didn’t try before. Reasonable price, we ordered mix sundae that costs NT 200 and it is the most expensive item they are offering. Customer just needs to wait around 15 mins for a queue then they could enjoy the taste 100% alike Tokyo. Highly recommend !

There is often small line during weekends and holiday but it tends to move quickly. There is normal milk ice cream and the cheesy kind (light though), and the cone is freshly made and has a cheesy taste too. Though I am not a big fan of cheese I still like the ice cream very much.

Great value and very traditional choice that is popular with locals for both the affordable savory sets paired with and without dessert. When in Taipei, you have to try the local desserts. I stumbled on Xiaonanmen by chance — and what the heck, it looked legit. No regrets! This one was the syrup version, but I’ve had a soya milk version before that was just as yummy. If you see my video, I’m literally crossing the road straight into Xiaonanmen from the Yong Kang area. Definitely check that area out — super cute cafés and snack spots like Juelin Nuts (yay samples!) and Atelier Lotus (no samples, but still cool). How to get there: Hop on the MRT Red Line (Tamsin-Xinyi) and exit at Dongmen Station, Exit 6.

Looking for some lunch at Dongmen Market but ended up here before I went to Yongkang Street. The food is great, I love the braised pork rice the taste is great but have no meat (I think it was chopped into small pieces), the soup is also great you can find meat there. I didn't check for the review because I came here intentionally, but when I came here all the staff was tourist-friendly, the place was clean enough, and the atmosphere was also good for having a quick lunch.

Rice with meat sauce on top in this place (lu ro fan) tastes like a wonder and it's only $50 NTD (1.5€) in this small restaurant right outside Dongmen station. Very quick and friendly service. You can pay cash or easypay (local paycard that you also use for the metro). No linepay or bank cards. The space inside is not big, but enough to pass by and eat your lunch during your break.

Taiwanese street foods joint around the corner of YongKong Diatrict. Tried out some combos and they tasted great and the dishes come with recycled paper bows. Will visit again!

Tried the soya beancurd with peanuts and jelly, served cold. It was so refreshing and taste so good with just good amount of sugar so it not too sweet nor pale. If you are looking for a quick desert, high recommended.

Love the ambience of the cafe. The waffles tasted more like japanese style baked donuts and they were really good. The service was slightly slow as it took almost 30mins for our food to be served even thought there were only 2 tables occupied. Nonetheless it is a great cafe to chill in.

Wonderfully muted interiors makes for a relaxing cafe. The egg salad toast was delicious! I just wish there was a bit more of the egg salad though lol.
