I entered this place because I saw it full of locals and therefore I guessed it was good. I bought a pack of pinapple cake to take home as a souvenir, really nice packaging (and there was a girl working there that offered me to taste a small bite before purchasing them). The bag of 5 pieces was 100 NTD. We also bought 4 other items: a chocolate croissant (quite mediocre, not very sweet), a crispy doughnut (good but nothing life changing), a kind of focaccia (good but a bit strange since the dough was a bit sweet), and the walnut croissant (EXCELLENT, really really good). All these items were 160 NTD if I recall correctly. All in all I would recommend the bakery. It has a vast variety of products and they seem to be high quality, for a fair price. I would really recommend the walnut croissant, it was one of the best pastries I have had in Asia.

I buy here quite often when in Taipei. The bread and the pastries are good. However it's always very crowded and the service is somewhat lacking, although there is little to complain. They are regularly swarmed with customers in what is a very cramped shop. This causes issues sometimes. During one of my last visits they were serving me and another customer simultaneously. I bought two doughnuts and an apple pastry. At one point things got so confused in the crowd that i heard 135nt and i said ok. Then i gave the lady at the counter 1000nt and she returned 770nt and i had no receipt either. The confusion at the shop was such that I only realized much later. With no receipt found and me miles away by then, there was no point in going back to ask for clarifications for a few NT. But I think that the price was inaccurate. My guess is that, for some reason, they confused my bill with the bill of the customer being served with me who had more products than me scattered on the same counter and was still there when i left.

Just had a weird and frustrating encounter at this branch store. The ignorant, inconsiderate female employee was completely lacking in basic courtesy or common sense. Honestly felt like I was in a totally different store compared to the usual helpful and friendly I go to.

It's one of the colour full bakery I had ever seen. Lot of baked breads in varieties of flavours. If you visit this shop you won't come without eating one. Non veg, veg, sweet breads etc...are available here. To find this shop you need to go to the bottom of the mall. But still it's worth to take a visit.

The sesame red bean bun I bought tasted unexpectedly good, the sweetness was right on point. Will visit again to try other breads next time. Staff was kinda cold and unfriendly.

One of my favorite bakeries in Taipei. Great buns with red bean stuffing and sesame on top. Really tasty black sesame stuffed buns. They make really tasty pineapple cakes and oatmeal longan cookies. Pretty much liked everything I tried.

Super good bakery. The quality is solid as is the selection. Visited this store many times during our visit as quality is very consistent day to day. They also close a bit late. However, the remaining selection will be very sparse. I would recommend visiting this place during the day and preferably in the morning. Their items out of the oven are a real treat. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Japanesey style bakery churning out a great range of bread and Taiwanese snacks, cookies and cakes. Super friendly lady at the counter let us sample the tasty snacks before we bought, an all round happy shopping experience.

Best service and bakery! I once bought pineapple tarts for souvenirs from another branch during my last visit in Taiwan and I was so impressed with the packaging and taste. This time, I purchased pineapple tarts and some bakery from this branch and was not disappointed. Highly recommend to buy your souvenirs from this brand and also at this branch!

This is a must visit shop to buy Q-biscuits. Not many tourists and even local know what is Q-biscuits but for those who have tried it will definitely love this biscuits. Personally would recommend St. Paul Q-Biscuits to anyone over the commercialized pineapple biscuits or sun biscuits

We visited this bakery a few years ago when we checked in at a nearby hotel. We were tourists. We bought a cake to celebrate my brother and mom's birth month. I liked the cake aesthetic and the taste which i like cos its not overly sweat. I do not like the cakes in my home country cos the amount of sugar they put is ready to give you diabetes. I recommend Shun Chen's cakes overall.

This bread shop was there when I was a kid, same location but had nicer interior design. The bread is not bad but I like their cooked food section where you can buy braised chicken, tofu, seaweed and more.

Come here for a taste of heaven. If like us, u have tried and tasted the #2 and #3 top rated items and wonder where #1 always is, ask the aunty! We were told, “#1 is what u like best”😂 Cheeky but true! Ours is the Coconut Tart. It tastes heavenly! We also like the cookies, pick and pack. And the red bean loaf, yam loaf, the plainest buns we couldn’t name but always put a smile on our faces!

Old school bakery with wide selection of healthy and trendy flavours. I had the baked honey cheese cake. It was really light and mild in flavour. Not too sweet. The black sesame mochi was not too sticky to chew and just the right amount of sugar crunch inside.

The smell of fresh baked goods made me stop inside the store. They have a lot of different sweet and savory breads available. The breads were soft to the touch and freshly baked as I see the staff packing the baked goods from the tray into packages. We tried the mochi which were ok. The mochi skin was soft but I've had softer. But it did have lots of filling. The red bean bread was OK as well. Soft and full of red bean filling. The best bread was the vitality bread. The different grains and beans gave it a great texture and bite. Cash only.

Cakes are super affordable and delicious. I really love the strawberry cream croissant 🫠🤍 The cream is so soft and strawberry tastes really fresh. I always pick it whenever I see it, but I think it's only available in certain days. The service is good and the officers are friendly 🤍

The three star review is just due to lack of products available at opening. The store really should communicate that there are little to no options available when they open at 11. When I arrived at 11:30, the only three products they had available were the regular and blueberry bagel and salted croissant. When I asked when more products would be available they said not til after 12 and most products aren’t out til after 1. Regardless, the bagels were overpriced and mediocre but the Sea salt soy milk roll was amazing. Would give 5 stars for the Sea salt soy milk roll because the buttery inside was melt in your mouth and the salt flakes added so much depth and flavor. While pricey, still a great bakery for vegans with delicious options. Highly recommend the Sea salt soy milk roll!

Visited twice this visit. Enjoyed the lemon tart, floss bread, salt bread, icecream, strawberry cake and will take home several boxes of pineapple cake to friends. Love this place and will find a hotel closer to their store! Yum!

Pricey but worth it for some of the best vegan bread out there. Definitely go for the salty roll and the cheese Danish and the sweet potato cheese bread. And their desserts are so delicate and light and done just right. I don't regret all the money I spent their and will happily drop some more every time I'm in Taipei.

Yiihotang has the best ever sea salt butter rolls!!! They are so good when fresh from the oven. I often finish at least two rolls off the oven. They offer free Japanese malt tea on the premises, which you can have while having the bread at the seating area in the yard. The bakery is full of floury and buttery smell, and always of a queue for the sea salt butter rolls. Other products, such as the Japanese style bagels and the European artisan berry bread, are also decent and authentic. The price is at the higher end, but the high quality ingredients and the freshness justify the prices in my opinion. Do try their swiss rolls, cheese cakes, and pudidngs, and often you will end up buying a box back. Everything here is just sinfully yummy!!!

Bought these two desserts to celebrate the weekend and they were delightful. The mango sago is colorful and tastes just like its appearance. The matcha/tea cake was also a pleasant surprise. Special thanks to Gina too, thank you!

The sea salt bun is heavenly. Once a tray of bread is out from the oven it get snapped up within a few minutes. There is a limit of 10 sea salt bread you can buy. The pudding is also very good. After buying one I regret not getting 3 which is much cheaper. But I will be back if I visit Taiwan again.

Vegan Asian style bakery with a variety of options made with soy flour (how cool!). My husband has dietary restrictions to refined sugar so we really appreciated that they list the ingredients of every bakery items. Quite surprised to find a few options without using refined sugar in and Asian style bakery! We particularly liked the san-shin green onion bun which had a bit chili that went well with the fresh green onions. The "European" style bread with walnut and kumquat was lovely too. My mom and I shared the salted milk tea vegan soft serve which was light and not too sweet. Staff were friendly.

A beautiful bakery that welcomes you with the aroma of fresh baked goods and a feast for the eyes. However, as many reviewers have already stated, the price is not cheap. Although the pastries do taste good, I don't think the price to taste ratio is worth it. You would probably only come here for those very special occasions.

This place makes excellent French style pastries. One of the best places in town. The next door bakery makes THE BEST bread in town. Truly authentic Italian style ciabatta. If you are disappointed about the bread in Taipei, try this place.

Update 1/13/20: been a while since I went but as I was in the area I swung by and got a 50nt canele! Best I've had in Taiwan~ super crunchy thick caramelized crust and custardy sweet center ♡ recommend 😄 Expensive European style bakery but with some fun fusion flavors like Miso Financiers~ Definitely pricey but high quality! The financiers were totally super soft though, not with firmer edges as preferred, but flavor quality still good! The chocolate croissant was superb ! Edamame pizza was interesting, good but would opt for something else next time. Herb focaccia is amaaaazing! Totally missed out their next door dessert shop, will poke around next time~

Well known desert and bakery shop. Haven't tried their desert, bought a couple orange slices covered with chocolate which were pretty good, kind of expensive, almost $70 per slice. The bakery next door has lots of varieties, bought a chocolate croissant which didn't look right, the outter layer was "damaged" and didn't have the proper crust. The apple pie looked good. They tasted just OK.

I read the story about this croissant bakery and was fascinating by it. I finally get the chance to try and really love it. They have variety of options, but the basic croissant consistency is far better than most of the store in this price range. Truly made them a affordable everyday croissant store.

Credit card is available if purchased over NT$500. Staffs are quite helpful. Illy cafe is served which is a plus. Afternoon available. All the food are supported for both stay in and to go.

Quite a disappointment from what I expected. Croissant was a bit chewy and not crunchy at all, complete opposite to the soft fluffy crunchy on the outside croissant I was expecting. Coffee was good... But that's not what I'm here for.

This is a cafeteria with a bakery next to it. We had a simple lunch here. The Roast Chicken Spaghetti was good but the rest was average. The cafeteria was clean and service was good. Suitable for families, afternoon tea and a simple meal with friends. Meals averaging NT350 which was moderate consider the service and comfort. The rating would be 3.5 out of 5.

We were looking for a brunch place on Foodpanda and came across Belem. We got a ham eggs benedict and a roasted chicken pasta...both dishes were pretty bad. Instead of having actual English muffin for the eggs benedict, they used (Taiwanese breakfast chain) burger bread. The pasta barely tasted like anything and the corn soup that came with the meal tasted like powder soup. The chicken was the only edible thing.

Visited with my mother and sister. Very good scrambled eggs with Salmon. Eggs with mushrooms (very large portion) and Spaghetti Salmon. The truffel fries and onion rings were great as well. The staff were super friendly. Highly recommend.

Came to try their pastries and bread 3 times, so i was sure of my impressions. I heard a lot about them, and I think it is overrated. tried the chocolate croissant, sourdough, and a few other pastries. You d better go to la boulangerie de monge, numero quatre with their pain au chocolates, or lutetia in tianmu.

Purebread has been a favourite of ours since 2018 and it remains a place we return to whenever we are in Taipei. Their bread and pastries are consistently delicious and of excellent quality. Since their relocation, however, the service feels less welcoming. The staff, though very pretty, often appear with rather sour expressions, which is a shame as it does take away from the otherwise lovely experience.

Purebread consistently delivers excellent quality bread — fresh, flavourful, and thoughtfully made. It’s one of my favourite bakeries. However, today’s visit was disappointing due to one staff member’s particularly poor attitude. Service here has always been a bit hit-or-miss, but this time it really fell short. I hope the store will invest more in staff training to ensure a consistently welcoming customer experience.

I've tried most of the breads here, including the monkey bread, different flavors of sourdough, focaccia, ciabatta, cinnamon bun, cruffin, and more. Personally, I find the Danish pastries and desserts to be mediocre, and the sourdough isn't outstanding. Surprisingly, my favorite is the baguette, despite it not being a sourdough. I love the texture and the fragrance of the wheat in this baked good.

Here you can find one of the Best croissants and sour-dough breads in Taipei. Its location isn’t the best for tourists who are traveling in public transports only - you would need to walk for 5-10mins from the nearest metro or bus station. However, it is certainly worthy to plan a visit especially if you like croissant. Very impressed even the breads weren’t the freshest when I visited after 6pm the first time!! Returning in my next visit to Taipei (during the day time 😀) - simply the best!!

Really nice sourdough and I’m in love with this crazy cinnamon croissant. They have a lot of different flavors so there’s something for everyone. My boyfriend had a sourdough with jalapeño and cheese. And I had the cinnamon croissant. That was actually enough but everything looked so good that we also bought an almond croissant and cranberry pumpkin seeds sourdough. Super high quality. Would definitely go back. You can’t sit inside but they have 2 tables outside.

I have visited this lovely bakery since it's opening. My family loves this place. There are a lot of items worthy to try.

The pineapple bun is a big surprise which has exceeded my expectation. It's very crispy on the outside, and not too sweet for my personal taste, although with a higher price as mentioned bt others, but it's worth the moeny spent. The two other cakes are also not bad, but of all the items I bought, the cakes can't be compared with the bun, maybe not in a fair way!

Lots of people come here. I bought the strawberry jelly cake to takeaway and it’s very good. Would buy again!

My go to shop for last minute cakes. Only tried their Mille-feuille strawberry, mango or green grape (depending on the season). Highly recommend but make sure you prepare your own sharp knife to cut through the hard pastry. $750 for 11x11cm or $1800 for 21x21cm. Wouldn’t recommend 21cm cause it’s simply too big unless you have 15+ people. Just like any other local bakeries, don’t expect a nice service. Just grab and go.

My point of view is almost all desserts costing a lot. Only pineapple cake's price looks reasonable at NT$28/pc, but its size is way too small and outer pastry is very soft, too easy to fall apart. Thus, I wouldn't recommend or buy anything again.

There are various kind of bread from sweet to salty. But I usually come there to buy red been bread. Red bean bread is my favourite. So delicious and affordable price (around 140NTD) and sweet desserts and cookies with so many flavours.

All the pies and mousse cakes I've had were very very good. Really fresh n high quality ingredients. Luv the mirabelle plums that taste like a combination of 台灣黃肉李子 and葡萄 . Excellent dark chocolate mousse, not too sweet, a small bite goes a long way in your mouth. Yum yum! The vanilla cream topping was lovely and unexpected.
