Right in the heart of Wiesbaden you will find Lumen a wonderful restaurant and bar. We had a good meal at lunchtime two meals from the quick lunch menu which is a fixed price meal within a lunchtime slot and two meals from the regular menu. The service was very good and the food was super. The amenities were clean and there is plenty of seating both within and on the sunny terrace.

Nice food and nice employees. I didn’t like the truffle pasta so I wouldn’t recommend that. They did take it off my check which I really appreciate. The Snitzel and burger were really good. Definitely recommend this place!! We will be coming back :).

I am in Germany, visiting my sister in Weisbaden, today we came to the city center, I had a lot of expectation because as we are Latin people, I generally did not know if this tourism was pleasant here. I must confess that they have treated me very successfully and kindly. We went to eat this beautiful restaurant. with my nephews who are very naughty and the customer service is excellent excellent excellent they helped us at all times and the restaurant is very cozy if menu is of dishes I definitely recommend 5 star cuisine typical Germany and Hungary with Mediterranean flavor fusion, Large portions and great a menu to eat around € 110 for 4 people very well.

Very well presented cafe, but quite pricey for even the basics “water”. Some of the staff I found quite nice but others rude, maybe just that one had a bad day . The atmosphere in head was nice be interesting in summer as outdoor aria looked interesting with old cable cars .

Our waitress was friendly. The food was prepared and delivered in a timely manner. I chose the risotto from the seasonal menu, the risotto was a little on the salty side for my taste (others may enjoy that). The mean was accompanied with a basket of bread.

Nice place, waiters are nice and polite. Food was good, but not so french in our eyes. Service took forever though. We had oysters as Starters and a Main dish and our dinning experience took over 2 hours. PLUS POINT: they offer Gluten Free bread. But it's definitely not a place to go to if you're in a hurry. We’re staying in a hotel very close, so we thought we’d go here. Great choice! We had five appetizers to share… each one delicious! And… the bartender is terrific… best whisky sour ever!! Highly recommended!

What a huge disappointment. We got to the restaurant and there was no table prepared for us even though we had booked two weeks in advance. The French lady who received us was very unfriendly and unapologetic about it. She then tried to sit the five of us at a table for four before finally - after we said that this was not okay for us - she pushed another table over. It remained an awkward setup. If I book two weeks in advance I expect that there is a table ready, possibly even a good one.

The food was extremely salty, the duck was not edible. The sauce of the duck, the potatoes, the sauce, made our tongues numb. The foie gras was bad quality. The service was a impolite and a mess, they took our order twice, they didn’t let us try the wine just poured it. Waited 1,5hour for the food. Terrible terrible experience! Pretty interior, at last.

One of my favorite meals ever. I go back time and time again for the small chicken that’s oven roasted served w tsatziki and pomme frittes. Love the warm friendly service but the food. Everything I’ve picked off my friends plates have been amazing. Keep telling myself I’ll order something new next visit but I always go back the the cocoulette (not sure what it’s called in French). As an American subjected to horrible chicken, this is a game changer

Absolutely Delightful! The Freshness and Quality of the ingredients used comes through with every bite. Presentation is Top Notch. The convenience of being open Daily from noon is rapidly making this my "Favorite Spot" to pop in and enjoy a meal. Naturally, serving Sancerre by the glass is the icing on the cake for me!

Food was really good. I had the Chef’s Carte Blanche 4 course meal for €60 and it was plenty of food. Not sure how I would’ve been able to eat the 5 course option. The Hugo spritz was delicious and the recommended red wine was tasty too. Starter was an avocado salmon tartare - really good. The shrimp and tomato pasta was amazing. 3rd course was a veal and broccolini dish and the dessert was decent too. I will definitely return on my next trip to Wiesbaden.

This is my and my whole family’s favorite place ever. We come here once a week. Food is soooo good! They change their set menu quite regularly and they have seasonal items as well. But they’re always and constantly good! Everything is always fresh and you have the finest ingredients and very good quality. Staff are also very professional and very friendly. You will always feel welcome here. They also have very good wine pairings. The chefs are also very talented and very creative. We also tried the chef’s table wherein all the courses are a surprise. Located at a prime location in Weisbaden this restaurant is a great place to people watch. The service is very friendly. We showed up with a party of 11 and they immediately found space for us. The food was delicious and we ordered a bunch of different seafood dishes. Everyone really enjoyed their food. They also have this great dessert called Kunefe.

I went from disliking fish to being a lover after trying their cuisine. The hospitality is a one and the place is cozy. I definitely recommend it. Love from Belgium.

The wait staff were polite and very helpful. You can taste the freshness of the fish. The calamari tasted good to me, but a bit oily. Sitting outside ruined it for me. We thought it would be nice, which it was for a few minutes. It was crowded and loud, and inside, you were packed like sardines. See what I did there, anyway, it's an okay place. Kulinarisch war der Abend ein absolutes Highlight. Die Speisen waren hervorragend zubereitet, kreativ angerichtet und geschmacklich perfekt abgestimmt. Regionale Elemente trafen auf moderne, raffinierte Küche – bodenständig, aber mit Finesse. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Kaiserschmarrn: herrlich fluffig, goldbraun, üppig – in unserem internen Ranking bundesweit auf Platz 3! Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen: Da ich mein Hauptgericht nicht geschafft habe, ließ ich es einpacken. Erst zu Hause fiel mir auf, dass der Kartoffelbrei und die Soße – auf die ich mich besonders gefreut hatte – leider fehlten. Hätte ich es vor Ort bemerkt, hätte ich es natürlich angesprochen. Auf die Nachfrage beim Kellner, ob Alkohol in der Soße ist meinte er nur patzig: „Da kann ich ihnen jetzt auch nicht helfen, müssen sie wissen. Die einen legen da halt Wert drauf alkoholfrei während der Schwangerschaft zu sein, die anderen nicht“. Ich erwarte an dieser Stelle bei einem Restaurant dieser Klasse, einen adäquaten Alternativen Tipp für ein anderes vergleichbares Essen, was ohne Alkohol zubereitet wird. Wir haben uns dann beide für die Käsespätzle entschieden. Ich könnte noch mehr schreiben, aber dazu fehlt mir an dieser Stelle die Lust… Damit komme ich auch zum Essen: Wir können jetzt nur für die Käsespätzle sprechen, aber die waren leider nur unterer Durchschnitt. Another “fine dining” room with the typically unimaginative German menu. This place serves absolutely nothing of interest on their menu. We had the fish dish in bland white sauce with vinegar drenched uncooked potato’s and a supposed “filet” that was as tough as shoe leather. The sommelier was in a filthy apron and stained white T-Shirt and knew nothing about wine. Their list was as basic as can be with two whites of renown and as many (if still immature) reds. They need to learn how to sell wine when it’s ready to be drunk. Especially their terrible Barolo selections. The service was done by the usual aging pretentious wannabes found in European dining rooms and were unpleasant and defensive when asked a question they could not answer. I am just glad I did not get sick from the stinky fish. There are better places in Wiesbaden but just barely as the fine dining scene in the old Hessian Principate is a dead scene.

A bit on the expensive side and steak was cooked through instead of medium rare, but was replaced and the food quality is stunningly high quality and extremely nice, as well as the servers and atmosphere, who are unbelievably friendly, welcoming and wonderful.

Wonderful meal for my daughter's birthday here. The Chateaubriand was one of the loveliest cuts of meat Ive ever seen (and tasted). She was enamoured with the truffle fries and despondent when we realized shed forgotten her takeaway box when we got back to the car. Great atmosphere, great meal.

The nicest place in Wiesbaden in my opinion. Have been here both during winter and summer months. Super cozy old school atmosphere inside when it’s cold and awesome patio during the warm times. Food is incredible! But the “Perfume Room” is my favorite. So much history. Great for special occasions or just romantic dinners.

Atmosphere is the best. With a great view over the Winterhafen, great for sunset, outdoor spaces and beautifully decorated and full of light. Food was globally good but way too expensive for the quality. At this price we expected a higher level and got disappointed. Mainly for the 14€ dessert we did not even finish.as.the rum cream was highly questionable and wasting the rest of the apple pie.

Do not recommend. The last visit to the place was far from good. And I actually found the restaurant rather underwhelming. The food was ok when we finally got it, but they made us wait for the order for more than an hour! There were no apologies or explanations till the issue was raised, and even after the head waiter came up, they worded the situation as if we were the ones to apologise. Neither the atmosphere in the restaurant nor the dishes can help the bad aftertaste of the experienced attitude.

This is great place to dine and spend time in. The vista, the Rhein alongside the outdoor seats and a nice, attentive service round out the small lunch menu that, with a bigger menu for dinner service. It’s great to meet, stop on your bike tour or just visit to enjoy the food and drinks.

A super location, we came spontaneous and got a place outside on a picnic table. Not full on a Sunday evening, gorgeous view. We also had wonderful weather. My husband had a typical local dish, "Hand Käse" and I ordered Tagliatelle. The food was disappointing, my pasta was rather strips of thick pancakes, and the other dish was a fast food version of the original. The price paid for the view and location. You would think that they could manage simple food, which wasn't the case. Good that we didn't attempt something more sophisticated. Still worth the experience...just keep your expectations low on the food.

One of the most lovely meals we have had in Germany this trip. Came here on a rainy Wednesday for lunch, SLIM, our server, took such good care of us and helping to celebrate my husband‘s birthday. We were greeted at the door with a warm welcome and promptly taken to our table. Our waiter was extremely nice and very precise in everything he did! Every glass, plate, and utensil was in its proper place. We chose the vegan menu and the venison menu. The basket of bread that was brought out was delicious. The first time I went there over a couple of years ago, I enjoyed the food very much. This time around I enjoyed the starter but not the main course so much. The gnocchi lacked richness of flavour, whereas the pizza was good but I couldn’t enjoy it because I chose poorly the cheese which wasn’t to my taste buds’ liking. I would reiterate that the pizza itself was good... I do find their table setting to be a bit too crammed. A small table or two could be removed to make the space friendlier.

Popular place to go to. Locals also like to go here, as its always crowded. Food is tasty and of good quality. They also have big portions. I’m happy that they offer gluten free pasta for people like me. Their pasta dishes are good, as well their pizza.

An awesome restaurant in the heart of Wiesbaden. Absolutely some of the best pizza and pasta I've had in Germany. It's worth the trip of you're in town and the prices are very reasonable/accommodating for my baby and my stroller. We'll be back in our future trips to Wiesbaden

Overall great experience. Maitre d’ was welcoming and made sure we felt comfortable with menu choices. Also catered towards allergies which was great. Able to choose between 4-7 courses from the tasting menu. Each course was different in style and flavour but complimented each other fairly well. The pumpkin cake desert was my favourite. Sommelier was very friendly and made it easy to pick a nice wine for each course. Service overall was great and made us feel comfortable.

Been there for my girlfriends birthday. We had the 4 courses menu (95 €) We choose to have the menu served with corresponding wines, selected from the local sommelier. This was a big mistake. For three glasses of wine we were charged 65 € each, the price was not mentioned on the menu, we didn't expected so much (our bad, we didn't asked before..), besides, one of the wine didn't really match the food. Other than that, the food was good, well prepared and nicely served, but that's it. Nothing memorable or worth to give the restaurant another visit. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Maybe the tables could be a bit more spaced.

Desserts and drinks are the only things that I have purchased from "Alex," so this is just to preface my review that it doesn't cover the majority of the meals. While it's only a select few items I've tried, I have gone there countless times, and every time was excellent. I'd usually come here right after dinner from another restaurant. I was told by a server that I could sit wherever I wanted, and I usually went upstairs where there was less people and more intimate. The servers spoke fluent English, and were attentive to my table. I tried a variety of their alcoholic drinks, with my favorite being the "Swimming Pool." As for dessert, I loved their churros, strawberry cheesecake, and red velvet cake. Sometimes the cake tasted a bit too grainy and old, which is likely from it sitting in a glass cabinet on display. This has happened enough times that it was a pattern, and dampened my experience a little bit. The drinks on the other hand? Always perfect. If I wasn't in the U.S now, I'd still be visiting, "Alex" to end my evening on a high note.

We had a good meal here nothing overwhelming but good, my pizza bread was still doughy inside and the vegetable china style dish consisted mainly of onion’s and soybeans and no other veggies. Its so pity because the staff are so friendly and helpful and the drinks are great and maybe the other dishes are better but two failing dishes in one sitting isn’t my ideal. It’s my money and your money at the end of the day! Overall I would like to try it again but something else maybe a burger 🍔

Been in Wiesbaden over 3 years and the 1st time going to ALEX, the atmosphere was cool, we were able to sit wherever we wanted, very comfortable chairs. The herb butter that was on top of my steak was not melting which means that the steak was not warm enough for it to melt. The baked potato was completely covered in sour cream (at least it wasnt dry), my wife's chicken ceaser wrap had probably 4 pieces of chicken in it total, my son said his burger was just "good" he's 10 and the fries were ok. The server was pleasant.

Enjoyed my lunch here! The trofie was delicious and reminded me of my visit to Cinque Terre, it had the perfect amount of spice. I look forward to dining here again, thank you!

Food was good for our evening but we expected a bit more friendlier services esp from the boss (his photo was on their homepage so you know) who the whole evening was trying to please the guests from his home country and didnt even try to greet the other customers in the same room. The waiter who “welcomed” us did not smile at all and told us he would come back as we entered while his friendlier colleague promptly pointed us to a table. Well, we didnt expect this service for a €200 dinner for two (without even opening a bottle)! Maybe only for regulars. Then so be it.

Was hoping for a great find as we live within walking distance. The food was very good, however the staff barely attended to us and was very snobbish. Felt very uncomfortable here due to the staff behavior. Our waiter spent more time smoking outside than serving. The other downfall is that everything is overpriced for very small portions. Will not go back again.

German food has a bad rap for being bland and heavy on the wurst. Maybe this is true for fast food, but definitely not for fine dining. I am always blown away and the prices are pretty reasonable compared to North America. I started with a garlic soup that had some green in it they couldn't translate. It was very rich and tasty. It had a trout samosas with mustard on the side. For the main I had schnitzel with cranberry sauce, sliced potatoes fried with bacon and a cucumber salad with yogurt and dill. Big portion and very good. My wife had Pickerel (which they translate wrong as pike perch?). It was fresh and didn't have that earthy taste that I dislike with some Pickerel. Beautiful setting and great service.

It started well with attentive service and warm welcoming and ended quite disappointing... One soup was forgotten (?) we had to wait 15min. for it, the other was way too salty with literally one ravioli in it. I understand it is a starter but still costs 10€ for a broth with one ravioli! Main dish was very good. Then we asked for more water and never got it, dessert for 15€ was basically café gourmand but with no coffee, yet overdried chocolate brownie/gingerbread... In the end, there are better restaurants in Wiesbaden in this price range.

Excellent meal and top notch service. Cut my lamb with a butter knife. Goat cheese salad and wintersalat starter - innovative and would get either again. Veggies with main dish superb - possibly indicative of a good vegetarian option (don't remember what was available). Only negative was my wife thought her tuna (catch of the day) was overcooked. Large portions - will return.

We were in Landhaus Diesert as a preparation for our wedding to check if food was good. We already saw it from outside and inside-it is very beautiful, the trees make the terrace elegant. The food we ordered appeared to be great. The waiters are very friendly. We were lucky to get the date for our wedding. The owner Diedert met with us to go through the plan and gave us valuable suggestions. When we realised how picky Diedert was with the service, food and timing, we were reassured that we made a right choice- a person with such high expectations to his work would make everything as he promises it to be. On the wedding day Diedert himself was serving as well and was controlling the whole procession. He can step back if you want to, but he is on top of what he delivers. Food on that day was brilliant, service was great. We could write a long essay, but in three words: it was superb.

This is one of the hidden spots in Wiesbaden! Not easy to find.... but you have a GPS right? You think... hui... i‘m lost in a tiny little village... but there you go: you see the wonderful garden... or you choose to sit in the restaurant which is equipped with ... fully working!!! AC! Hard to find in Germany! The food is great... high class german stuff.... the service is absolutely friendly and has a lot of details to tell about the wine selection! Don’t miss to go there... it’s worth it!

I tried taking my Husband here because I heard there food was delicious but when we got to the door an older guy approached us an immediately said no reservations mind you the restaurant was empty with maybe 2 couples. Service was excellent and the food was good. I wouldn’t say it was the best Italian I’ve ever had though. The price is a bit high but the ambiance is nice and quiet.

My friends hosted a small wedding celebration dinner there and it was awesome. The service was extremely attentive and the food was excellent. Some highlights were the arancini, stuffed mushrooms, seafood salad and the best of all - beef filet with parmasean crust. The beef was cooked perfectly. We had a private room in the back, but the rest of the restaurant is charming with a lovely terrace. It's also right across from the Nerobergbahn, which is a water powered train bringing you to the top of the Neroberg for some beautiful views before or after dinner.

I was not very impressed with the food. The dish I had tasted like it had a mix of cheddar cheese and nacho cheese. Service was good and they were very accommodating. A bit pricey, paid 65€ for 2 people. Both of us had this same dish, one sweet wine, one soda, one desert, and an appetizer to share. You can pay with Euros or Card. Not a very great place to bring your kids along.

The special long pizza are no longer available. Some Food are more like precook food. Otherwise it's okay for a drink fast food or snacks.

It’s my small family’s go-to place whenever we want to go out for a bite and don’t want to spend futile time and energy looking around for vegetarian food. Their selection isn’t the biggest, but it’s a decent one to choose from. The food, for us, always has been above average – never terrible as some of the other reviews tend to suggest. I once tried their supposedly homemade iced tea, which I didn’t like. Since then I stick to fizzy drinks. If I could, I would rate the food and beverages 3 stars. The 4-star rating is there to represent their rather friendly service in this land of no service, and the ambiance. The restaurant has very well done interiors and a large outdoor space which is great in summertime. The location, which is just outside of the city centre, is also good and rather easily accessible. It’s also a decent spot for breakfast...if you’re fortunate then probably with sun shining on your table near some of the top floor windows. :-) EDIT: They no longer serve breakfasts other than buffet and 2 mini croissants, which is a bummer. Looks like we won't be going there anytime soon for that purpose. EDIT: The Asian bowl was a good idea, but ended up being a prime example of how easy it is to mess up food.

I had a super cup of coffee here recently a week after the restaurants were allowed to reopen after covid restrictions. The seating area was generous and luckily I was outside and the weather was good. To see the menu card you'll need to scan a QR code on the table and then read the choice on your mobile phone.. a little complicated but a safe alternative. The service was knowledgeable and friendly.

This restaurant a pleasant surprised for dinner with my wife and some friends. It’s away from the main “Italian Street” in Wiesbaden but it’s probably the best Italian food we’ve had here. I recommend making a reservation shaped of time because it gets super busy. We used the open table app and had no issues at all. My wife had the black past with shrimp in lobster sauce and I had the Angus steak. Both dishes were great. The servers are also very professional and nice. We will definitely go back again soon.

Little Italy lived up to its name and overall score. We had a salad as a starter (good mix, slightly oily dressing) that came with some bread (which was really fresh and tasty). The sea bass with parsley dressing, mashed potatoes and zucchini slices were all excellent. Portions good. White wine recommend by the house was full of taste and good match. 2nd glass wasn't cleaned thoroughly on the outside, but this is nitpicking. Pricing slightly above average (probably normal for 2025). Overall recommend.

My wife and I have been here a handful of times and it's always been a pleasant experience, so much so that I had to write a review. The wait staff are attentive and even read the menu to us (we're still working on our German), which they don't have to do by any means, but it is greatly appreciated and makes us feel valued as customers. The food and wine selection is always top. Last night I had the goose leg with gnocchi and it was divine. We will of course be back as always, but I just wanted to attest that this restaurant is a must-visit whilst in the downtown Wiesbaden pedestrian area. Grazie mille.

A very elegant restaurant right in the middle of Wiesbaden. We were able to get a last minute seat for lunch on a Saturday. The basic menu has a few offerings but the daily specials are vast. We had the monkfish linguine, red snapper, and Tomato carpaccio. All dishes were wonderful. Expensive but worth it.

We came here on Xmas day after going to the theatre over the road. We didn't know how long the theatre would take but it finished early and our reservation was 1.5 hours later, however Little Italy were able to accommodate us and let us have our table early. There was a reduced Xmas menu in play but the choices cover most people. They whipped up some pasta for our daughter even though it was not on the menu. Service is fast and efficient with friendly staff but not overbearing and constantly in your face which I appreciate. A small cosy restaurant. Would like to come back another time for the full menu.

Having lived in Italy for 4 years I had a desire for Italian. The food was fantastic…noodles were soft, huge pieces of truffle, even the bread was fresh. The waiter mistook my order but they quickly corrected it and were true gentleman about the error. There wasn’t even a reservation needed. I was so full I needed a cafe followed by a resentin! I would highly recommend this to any traveler!

A great dining experience in downtown Wiesbaden. They keep their kitchen open a little longer in case you are dining late. The food is amazing and the wine choices are really delicious. I dont know much about wine, but I really found that the Primitivo was perfect for dining and will look for it again. I am a very big fan now. This service was so humble and made me want to return here. Nothing but good times here, bravo!!

I kinda like the way the place looks with all the cut trees everywhere, but not a fan of the bench type seats. The food was pretty good except the nachos, they were small not much dressing and just not worth the price. The service was fine, but it took about 50 minutes to come out with the nachos being the last thing. As far as going back, I would go back, but not if I have another choice.

It is located at a very convenient place and we didn't have to wait for very long to get seated. Waiters were friendly and helpful, and burgers tasted good. I liked their sweet fries and onion rings. I'm not a burger person, but I think those who like burgers should try out this place for sure.

A very nice location and lovely outdoor seating area to watch life go by with family and friends.. The service here is exceptional! I only went for a small side dish and a dessert with coffee because on the day I had a burger elsewhere...my fault because HiG has some really great looking concoctions..ah well next time! The fries were super and I could mix up my own dip...orange BBQ sauce and classic BBQ sauce try it out😋....or mayo and classic BBQ sauce....and if you like to sit inside they have a great interior. Take away is not a problem I can thoroughly recommend this place.

Friend A has purchased a matcha latte and spicy cauliflower chicken, it tasted and felt like chicken but it wasn't! Friend B has bought a salad, golden fries and a lemonade but I forgot which one, she said they were good. I bought the Feuerwerk burger, golden fries and the peach-lemon ice tea. The atmosphere was great and very modern, there is outdoor space and indoor space but the indoor was very hot. I would definitely recommend this place because sizes are actually edible, they aren't too big or too small and they have a kids menu and vegan alternatives.

Great food every time we have gone. I have had one experience with slow service but it is not the norm. The burgers are delicious. The beverages are too. We like to order the lunch special that comes with a drink and a hot beverage at the end.

We waited over 40-45 Minutes for two pizzas. One tasted really fresh and crispy and the other one unfortunately tasted Like nothing. That made the waiting time even worse. People who came after got the food before us (might be because the dishes were already prepared but the other ones also ordered pizzas). While the atmosphere and location is delightful, the overall experience was mediocre.

Me and my partner had a holiday in Madrid and extended our good times to Wiesbaden. We stopped in to Matihilda for a lunch and fell in love with the look and feel of the space. Add to the that Diane,I hope I spelled correctly, and the food, her husband is the chef, we were in love. We loved it so much we went for a light dinner and drinks the next day. This is a family owned and operated eatery and you taste the love in every bite. We will for sure make a point to drop into Wiesbaden, which is a beautiful place, for the amazing food, service, and Diane next year as we plan our 2026 holiday. We had the steak frites and the bacon avocado burger, both were very good! It was also a perfect day for a drink outside - we got here at 5:30 pm and the kitchen does not open for dinner until 6, so we enjoyed a drink before dinner. Definitely would recommend!

If you want to enjoy a proper schnitzel, this is the place to go. They take the time to do it fresh and to beat the steak right before it gets fried. One notices that the cook knows what he’s doing and enjoys what he’s doing. I have been here several times and every time I have a joy with whatever I order. The drinks are well and properly prepared with great ingredients. The menu is not overly fancy, but of high quality, classic dishes. The staff is courteous, friendly, and sometimes also funny. Simply a great place to be when you have time to enjoy the good things of life. I wish I had taken a photo of my dish, but it was so good. I ate it all up before I remembered pulling up the camera.

Tokygon Restaurant is a lovely and quiet spot, perfect for relaxing or having a peaceful meal. The atmosphere is very chill, with tasteful and cozy decor that adds to the overall experience. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The food is beautifully presented and tastes just as good as it looks. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy a nice meal.

This is a delicious Asian restaurant, which is a mix of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. The flavors are incredible and the whole place has a great vibe. They also have a great variety of vegan options. We ordered the homemade lemonades, which were not too sweet but just perfect! The Monk‘s Lunch was a super delicious vegan option and so was Shaolin Bowl. We also ordered spring rolls. You can pay with card or cash and I highly recommend recommend reserving because they are always booked! Also, if you want to sit outside or at one of the tables where you can sit on the ground you should mention that when reserving.

Every once in a while, you walk into a restaurant and feel that someone actually cared. Tokygon is one of those rare cases. The interior is a romanticised version of rural Vietnamese architecture — not authentic, of course, but beautiful in its own way, a kind of dreamscape of wood, lanterns, and atmosphere. It works. The staff are warm, attentive, and friendly without overdoing it. Service flows smoothly, never rushed, never sluggish. And the food? It really does what the name promises: it carries you from Tokyo to Saigon in a single sitting. My wife and I had sushi and the Tokygon fasting menu. Both were absolutely fantastic — carefully prepared, full of flavor, and presented with the kind of precision and care that makes you realise you’re not just “eating Asian,” you’re experiencing a deliberate culinary journey. A family menu with fish instead of only vegetarian or meat options would be a very welcome addition to the already strong concept. Five stars, without hesitation. We’ll be back — and next time, I’ll bring an even bigger appetite.

This is a cool place with a modern vibe - Particularly great for a date, or for dinner with friends. Although note that they have no alcohol license currently. The food is very good (Sushi was nice, although not the best I've had - hence 4 and not 5 stars), with generous portion sizes. Presentation was consistently excellent, service was friendly. Menus available in English. Would definitely recommend!

Tourists not welcome here. Absolutely shocking service, the man serving us was rude, mixed our order up, threw the receipt onto the table when we didn’t tip and to top it off we said thank you on the way out the door and he completely ignored us. There was nothing to provoke this, odd behaviour.

I was with my daughter in this little cute Sushi place. We ordered not alot,y daughter a crispy chicken roll (3 pieces) a Teriyaki Udon and a green tee. I ordered Jasmin Tee and an a homemade ice Tee, Miso soup, 4 Nigiri and Schrimp Tempura ( 2 pcs). Only 1-2 people also in the Restaurant. The drinks took very long, ( 15 minutes ) Soup and Tempura came ( after 30 minutes) Sushi ( only 3 Nigiri, which one of them was wrong ) and Udon finally came. Mind you, I showed the Server in the Menu exactly what I wanted. The fourth Nigiri was who knows where. So we were in there from Order to me finally saying I don't want the 4th Nigiri just the Check, over and 1 1/2 hours. The Sushi was very small for that price. No excuses with everything is getting expensive. Almost every Sushi, Like Octopus, was with a Sauce on it. The Eel was lighting "Flamed". A man came in because He ordered takeout at 2:30 pm to Pick um at 5:30 pm ( which wasn't ready) and we Had been there over 40 minutes already. Sushi was delicious, but it took almost an hour and a half to get it to us. We had a party of 7 people, with reservations, and ordered about 18:50, our sushi didn't come out until 20:15. Another couple actually came in after us, was served, ate and left prior to us even getting our order. Very disappointed in the slow service. It was very nice sushi, well made and tasted great, but it wasn't worth the exceptionally long wait for.

Naan didn't feel fresh it was hard and the currys were also not up to the mark.

We've gotten pretty used to eating at home and I was concerned y that maybe I wouldn't be impressed. The food is amazing. The menu was broad and the wine selection was excellent. We had a combination of pizzas and entrees. The wait staff were happy to see us and our dog too. I will definetly come back again. The almond cookies with coffee were unexpectedly one of the best part of the meal.

Honestly that made my whole stay, being able to nap a couple hours and shower after getting off the flight was incredible. The room itself, very clean/comfortable but definitely very basic. No coffee or tea maker, no fridge, no microwave. Basically just a bed and bathroom. Which was alright but would have been nice to have a little more.

I’ve been to Wiesbaden five times and stayed at many hotels, but this is the first one with no minibar or even a bottle of water for guests. The breakfast selection is also very limited. Parking is quite inconvenient — you have to park in the shopping center and it took me a while to find the elevator to the hotel because there were no clear signs. Overall great choice - pasta was al dente (as it should be) and I appreciated that I was asked how I wanted the beef to be done, the sauce was a bit heavy for me, still enjoyable and tasty though. Glass of Italian red wine was a perfect match to my food, although it could have been a little bit more chilled. Everywhere I go, I look for premium Italian restaurants. This one was away from the main corner of Italian restaurants of Wiesbaden. However, it was the best one in town. The server was also great. Highly recommended. Massimo is a nice waiter but the tall main waiter is totally rude.

Excellent food. Been here a few times and it never disappoints. The pasta comes out warm, seasoned and the perfect amount. Recently tried the minestrone, a nice comfort on a cool day. Seasonal dishes vary in type and price. The price of dishes is a little higher than average locations in the area. It’s easy to assess that the type of dishes here are not the same as the average locations nearby. Staff is knowledgable and accommodating to adjustments in menu orders. Definitely recommend the Comback.

Good place, if not fantastic. Crispy chicken salad was really really good, can recommend. Nice interior, too. The soup was nearly awful, however - just thin and soapy. Do not recommend.

Fantastic food, service a bit indifferent. But worth it for the food. To note - there was a previous review about hard potatoes - the ones in my yellow curry were fully cooked through to perfection! Good sized portions as well.

This place has some of the best authentic Thai food in Wiesbaden and probably Hessen. I highly recommend eating here.

The food was okay. Not gonna say it’s one of the Thai restaurants I would come back to. The price is actually higher compared to the portions of each dish. And the worst thing is I was served by a very rude staff, who just threw the bill on the table and ran away!

Webers Wikinger is in a great location and has a cozy atmosphere. They have one main menu for all seasons and a smaller side menu that changes depending on the time of year — a nice touch! The lamb collet was okay, though a bit dry. The grilled vegetables were fresh and tasty, but the champignons were sliced too thin, so they ended up slightly overcooked and dry. The steak was decent, and the Bratkartoffeln were just okay — they could use better seasoning (mostly salty on the outside, but a bit bland when chewing). Overall, a pleasant experience.

Went to webers wikinger for dinner whilst in town. This place is awesome. Really authentic German high quality cuisine. We had a number of different food options including a vegetarian option all which were really great. Also had a number of great beers and a few glasses of spectacular wine which was great. Staff where super friendly and really great. Everything out quickly. All in all would highly recommend.

Went there today, with my kids and this place has amazing location in Wiesbaden City and the atmosphere there was amazing. Feels like traveling in time, like a Viking. Long story short, the experience for my kids was good, they had schnitzel and was good. I ordered the staple dish, called the vikinger platter, or something like that. My food order was taken wrong and my meats were overcooked. That really messed up our experience. The service at the end (an older lady, black hair) was very discouraging and disrespectful. She was blaming the bad order on me. ??? The restaurant had only 4 tables, we were the first and still took a little under an hour to get the food. No bueno!!!!

I recently dined at the German restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The schnitzel was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and tender meat inside. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. Plus, the convenience of being able to pay by card made the whole dining experience hassle-free. Highly recommend!

Right in the center of Wiesbaden sitting outside under the shade of big umbrellas or in the quaint interior this restaurant is a must for lovers of good fare.. I had the onion rings as a starter which where fresh onions and not a paste as is commonly known...they were cooked in a lovely light batter..this was followed by a very good steak although the side orders were a bit on the skimpy side... I wanted a desert but unfortunately they are not strong on desserts! Value for money was reasonable the service on our evening was attentive and helpful ...wheelchair access is available outside.

Excellent place. The staff speaks great English. They have perfect lighting and an old German atmosphere. The architecture is great. Their staircase which is suspended by chain is great. The food is mainly meat-centric. They have candles (real candles) and a fire going in the evenings. Their meat platter was good and their lobster and crab soup was excellent.

Our visit here for lunch could be called unimpressive at best - the food was mediocore, the service was pretty lousy and the prices were too high for what was offered. Maybe it's different when you don't sit outside for a quick lunch, but I'm pretty sure we'll never find out b/c we won't be back ...

The food at Taverne Niko is tremendously delicious. I went two nights in a row and I absolutely loved the fried feta cheese, lamb juwetsi, and loukoumades. The house wine was great and don't be afraid to try the ouzo. This restaurant makes me want to visit Greece.

Read about this restaurant on Trip Advisor. The food was delicious ant the atmospheric was great. When you walk in you are met the the owner, I believe his name is Niko. A firm handshake or hub. Very friendly and hospitable. All the staff is there to assist you in every way. The food wss as we read. Very good. Take suggestions from the Chef, he will not steer you wrong. We were there on a Tuesday night at opening and the place was filling up, the crowd never let up. I would suggest you make reservation. You will not be disappointed.

Opelbad is a lovely spot for drinks or a wonderful meal. A combination of gorgeous views of Wiesbaden from above and also delicious flavors. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Good view but there were holes on the celling in the fabric and honestly salad was super small portion that we waited for more than 30 mins.

We went for Easter Sunday brunch buffet and we had a fabulous time. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the variety of food, and the dessert. We weren’t fans of the main course but that was alright we tried it anyways. We were going for the breakfast foods anyways :) The atmosphere, the service, and the view were spectacular. We went when the pool was not full of water but it was still a beautiful view of the city regardless.

A Deeply Disappointing Anniversary Experience As highly praised as this restaurant is, our experience was shockingly disappointing, especially considering this was meant to be a special evening celebrating our wedding anniversary with our son. I had exchanged multiple emails with Mr. Stephen Wagner and even called two weeks in advance to confirm our reservation with the Opelbad staff. We were assured a memorable anniversary dinner and a reserved table. Unfortunately, what we encountered was the complete opposite. Upon arrival, we stood waiting at the front for about ten minutes before I had to actively search for a staff member outside to let them know we had a reservation. They appeared indifferent. We were eventually seated at a dirty, unprepared table, far from the promised setting, and no effort was made to clean it even after we sat down. The service from the two waitresses who checked on us (barely once) made us feel more like a burden than guests. The hospitality quickly deteriorated further. Despite confirming our reservation via email, we were told it wasn’t in the system. Halfway through our meal, the staff returned to tell us they had found it, but that it was made for inside seating. Ironically, the table we had originally reserved (clearly marked with our reservation tag) was occupied by two loud, obnoxious guests, severely impacting the atmosphere of what should’ve been a peaceful, celebratory dinner. When it came to the food, we hoped things would improve. We ordered a bottle of wine and their premium steaks and schnitzel. But again — disappointment. My wife’s Wiener schnitzel was served cold. The highly anticipated white asparagus, which Mr. Wagner had praised, was undercooked and cold as well, far from the quality we were expecting. To make matters worse, toward the end of our meal, the staff rearranged the nearby tables for a walk-in couple, the exact setup I had requested earlier, but was denied due to a supposedly incoming group of 30. This visit was a cascade of failures — poor service, unfulfilled promises, subpar food, and a complete disregard for customer care. What we hoped would become our go-to restaurant for special occasions turned out to be a waste of both time and a few hundred euros. Opelbad has unfortunately lost our trust, and our future visit to this place again.

The ambiance is lovely, and the wait staff was very nice. The taste of the food was good, but my only issue was the Pad Thai I ordered had 4 long black hairs in it. They didn't charge me for the dish, but it killed our entire meal. No one wanted to eat anything after that and we paid over €100 for the meal. Very disappointing. We have not been able to go back.

Experience was very nice with tasty food and an amazing atmosphere. We visited for a Sunday lunch, and the setting was especially beautiful. Highly recommended for a pleasant Thai dining experience.

I recently tried a Vietnamese restaurant, but it was a disappointment. The food tasted good, but the portions were tiny and the prices were very high. To top it off, the staff was not welcoming. Not worth the visit.

If you want Thai food please avoid this restaurant. This is the worst Thai food we've ever had anywhere in the world, including U.S. (known for serving mediocre food). This place has lovely authentic Thai ambiance but the food itself is at its lowest point. We paid for food we couldn't eat because it tasted awful and they just took the money in a blink of an eye fully understanding the food is awful. This place is the worst in terms of food and attitude.

One of the best thai I ever had. Little cosy restaurant with a friendly team. Good options for vegans and they can adapt dishes if needed. Very delicious authentic dishes. The virgen cocktails are good too. Very small popular restaurant, you definitely need to make a booking on weekends.

Excellent ambiance and authentic tasting food. The waitress was incredibly unfriendly and rude. However, the bartender was nice and accommodating. All the meals and drinks are overpriced A single person would typically pay about 40 euros for dinner. Would not recommend.

Excellent restaurant. Service was great. The atmosphere and ambiance was great. I had great company that day. The beers were good. I had nonalcoholic beers and they had two different types. The food was excellent. We had maybe 10 tapas for the 3 of us and they were great. The server made recommendations and all the recommendations were on point. I would highly recommend coming here. Space could be tight, ss, make reservations. I love their drink menu. It looks like a newspaper.

One of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve visited in Germany! The atmosphere is cozy, the space is clean, and the food is absolutely delicious – from the appetizers to the grilled meats, everything was spot on. The service was fast and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, showing true Turkish hospitality. Highly recommended, especially if you love freshly grilled kebabs and traditional dishes. Definitely not my last visit!

This place had both good reviews and a lot of them so I was excited the check it out. It did not disappoint. This is where you go if you want a big plate of spiced grilled meat. It came with a huge sheet of flatbread / naan and a pretty decent salad (so that you felt good about eating all that meat). We were some of the only folks there when we wat down at 18:00, but when we left at 19:00 the place was packed.

The ambience and atmosphere is amazing. You will love it, great steak, cooked to perfection. Save space for the salad and Naan bread they give for side. You will love it. Parking is hard but there is a parking garage just a block away.

First time trying Turkish food and loved it! The hospitality, the taste, the kindness, very economical too! Would highly recommend!

The food was ok. Big portions, descent quality on the salads and pasta. The tomato soup was like from a can. The fresh basil leaf on top didn’t make up for the taste. The service was not good at all. We didn’t get menus, the empty plates were left on the table until we left, the waiter was not responsive.

I was invited to eat at this restaurant many times, so I am confident in saying that if you eat here, then you will be stuffed with amazing food. The highlights of this place are definitely the generous portion sizes. Whether it be french toast you desire or an omelette, you will receive what you want and THEN some! Everything was cooked to perfection, and I will sincerely miss the bold flavors of each meal I had, my most favorite one being the blueberry crepe with vanilla sauce. That crepe was the first one I ever had in my life, and it set the bar very high for future ones. Is the food good enough to sit and relax at the table though? Well...I would suggest to order takeaway, but then that would add on to the long wait time on top of the already long time you'd normally sit through if you just stayed put. Du & Ich is very popular, and with that popularity comes some downsides, including waiting over a half hour for one plate of food. It doesn't matter what you get, every time I attended this place, I have waited a significantly long time for my food. It can feel stressful, especially if you were like me and went out to eat with peers that you weren't so close with yet, so you're awkwardly playing on your phone listening to everyone else talk around you. This is even worse when you're a foreigner who doesn't speak German, so you can't even listen in on any hot gossip. Since I touched on the topic of speaking, I will say that the waiters I had spoke decent English. They were very kind to me, and didn't appear judgmental over me being a foreigner- as I had feared. So, I did feel bad when I got frustrated over the long wait. Their restaurant is usually packed with customers, so if you want a taste of their food without the anger of having to wait so long, best option is to occupy your time with some good friends, videos on your phone, or read a book. So again, is the food from Du & Ich good enough to sit and relax at their table? I'd say yes, but please bear with them as they are taking their time for a reason. They have lots of fans in their establishment, and I'm sure you'd become one too once you have a bite of their large, freshly-made dishes.

Very huge portion and fresh foods. Really recommend it. Every time that we pass by, there are lots of customers dinning in.

The food was delicious and the staff were pleasant.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the world. For one whole summer I was flying to the city twice a week and would get dinner here. Their Schnitzel menu is insane and I challenged myself to try each kind throughout the whole summer. Never had one bad one the whole time and the drinks along with it were fantastic! Plus the cat friend outside just adds to the atmosphere automatically, but the whole feel of the city surrounds you as you sit there enjoying your meal.

Update: Another great time with good service and this time I enjoyed the “Fat Man” burger with tasty fries. Hanging out front with friends enjoying the world go by makes for a nice afternoon. Earlier visit: Had a very nice evening with friends at Scotch ‘N Soda. Enjoyed a perfect pint of Guinness, a shot of Jamo, and rounded things off with their Fish & Chips. Our service was friendly and prompt which really made for a fun evening. We will definitely be back for another pint 🍺

Best burgers and cocktails I've ever had, especially the Paris burger. It has garlic mayo and grilled onions that are a delicious addition to the burger. The cocktails are strong and you'll get your money's worth. The owner and the staff are fantastic and hilarious, they always take care of us and we all have a great time. Highly recommend for an evening out, just get here early before the place fills up!

Always a place to go for just a chill and a drink to relax at the end of a busy day. Good is perfect with many choices. The schnitzels always amazing, the steaks are beautiful and burgers are pretty good as well. Salads are alright and tasty. Beers on the tap are good and the whiskey menu is lengthy. Bottom line: You cannot go wrong here!

Even though it was a bit packed, seems to be the most popular in the region, it was nice food was great, people were super friendly. Updated after my second trip during the day. Staff was very slow, unresponsive and seemed like we were a bother just asking if they had a kids menu.

A very pleasant stay, wish I could have spent more time here. The room is very clean, spacious, I really had a great night sleep. The restaurant is lovely, and the food great. But what makes the place amazing is the service: helpful, welcoming and very polite personnel. Will definitely return!

Pfeffersteak, Flamkuhen Pilze, Rehbraten 🦌 war very delicious and juicy 🥩. We will be back definitely. Staff was very kind. We also liked the wine from the region and bought one extra bottle costing 11 €

A perfect combination of old and contemporary. The setting of this restaurant could not be more traditional. Nestled at the foot of vineyards in a quiet town. Amazing goose dinners at Christmas. Friendly competent staff. I imagine the gasthaus is also nice.

Beautiful place full of cosy little corners, all tastefully decorated in a traditional Rheingau Weinhaus Style. All with excellent wine, friendly staff and an fabulous Thanksgiving dinner, which was a true American portion. It even beat me! Parking is difficult and jacket potatoe was the only disappointment of a great evening.

You can call this lovely restaurant an institution in the Wiesbaden- and Rheingau-region for decades. Experience not only the charming cozy interior with all its decorations, but also the warmhearted service of the whole staff. The meals are simply delicate, during the season you can also enjoy regional venison. Of course, you should not leave out an accompanying regional wine, e.g. a typical Rheingau Riesling.

We celebrated our engagement there. They decorated the table so incredibly thoughtful and nice. The staff was super friendly and the food was simply amazing! 10/10!
