Restaurant
Kleinpetersberg is a charming restaurant located in Bonn, offering a unique atmosphere with stylish decor and stunning views of the Rhine, Siebengebirge, Petersberg, and Drachenfels. The menu features a variety of Mediterranean dishes, along with delectable desserts like coffee, cakes, and waffles. Guests can also indulge in an array of fine wines and creative cocktails while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. The restaurant prides itself on providing healthy food options as well.
Great food and an incredible view of the river and mountains.

A nice Mediterranean restaurant but, the last 3 times of going there the experience was not the best. Cleanliness was great but the service slightly lacking. First, they never brought my salad. Second, I substituted herb butter for the Hollandaise sauce, which they charged extra for.... really??? Butter is so expensive? To add insult to injury, the butter arrived frozen and when I added it to my medallions, it promptly made the pork cold. My husband asked for some different butter, which arrived 10 minutes later , melted in a gravy boat. DISGUSTING! Not sure what it was but, certainly not as expected. The other unused butter pat was still frozen in the dish after finishing my meal just to give you an idea of how frozen it was. A real disappointment because I love this place but after this, I dare say I won't be returning! Never even an apology. I will say the highlight of the evening was the staff singing loudly along to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. If you go, track your order and hopefully your experience will be better than mine.
Linda J — Google review
The food was good, though overpriced. The service was practically nonexistent. Having served us the main course the various attendant waiters and waitresses simply ignored any request for assistance. Once they’d taken the plates they weren’t even interested in seeing whether we wanted desserts or coffee. It was some of the worst service in any restaurant I’ve ever experienced.
Eric B — Google review
Passable Rhine restaurant, fast service , usual fare (schnitzel, steak etc). The food was so so, there are better options along the river, though the terrace is pleasant.
Dirk S — Google review
Everything is great. We had the Communion of our son here. The team was very nice throughout the whole process (planning etc.) They were very friendly and helped us to stay calm. The dishes were delicious, the portions were great! The restaurant beautiful, also the decoration of the tables! Can only recommend! We will come back for sure!

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, and good service. A must visit!
Daryl S — Google review
Very beautiful place with a great view of the Rhine river. There is alot of available space to sit and the waiters are very kind. I'm not sure if they understand advanced English, but regardless, the service is good. It did take long then expected for the food to come but I guess that's because we were 5 people.

Barbecue restaurant
Bill’s Restaurant & Grill in Königswinter offers an elegant dining experience with a view of the Rhine valley and the Siebengebirge. The restaurant serves a variety of delicious steak, fish, and shellfish dishes along with high-quality regional and international cuisine. Named after Bill Clinton, the restaurant provides a cozy and clean atmosphere for guests to enjoy beautiful sunsets while indulging in amazing food.
One of the best places in Bonn area. Underrated by google atm most probably due to bad service, which we couldn’t confirm.

We went to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The waitress took 30 minutes to take the order out food arrive one hour later. They did not bring the side dishes that we ordered. They brought more dessert that we ordered and they tried to charged for it. Food was ok but not amazing. It is sad to have such a bad service and food in such beautiful location

When you're staying overnight at the hotel, you have very little choice to dine elsewhere. They charge 5 star prices but the food, service and atmosphere is very average. The food is especially disappointing. You are expecting fine dining but instead you're served uncreative food that you could make yourself with little effort. The portion sizes are barely big enough to feed a 5 year old child let alone a grown adult. Trust me, avoid this place at all costs. You would be better off spending your money on a taxi to take you elsewhere.

(Translated by Google) I was here for an overnight stay at a hotel and had by far the most sobering experience of my stay... I ordered the 4-course menu for €89 and I wonder if the kitchen even knew this menu, since two of the four courses didn't match what was on the menu! The salad, whose highlight should have been the grilled peaches, was completely missing them. When I asked the first waitress where they were hidden, I was told they were chopped up and mixed in with the salad. Seriously?! Do anyone seriously think I have no sense of taste?! Only when I asked another waitress the same question did she say she couldn't answer and would have to ask the kitchen. Why doesn't any of the waitresses know the courses on the daily menu? By the way, the peach was served to me in a small pot after I had already finished my salad – and it wasn't grilled either... According to the menu, the main course should have been served with beans along with the fish. Instead, there were snow peas on the plate. Here, too, one of the waitresses tried to explain to me that these were actually beans... I was starting to feel like I was being... The food tasted good - but considering the rather high price, the portions were simply too small and somehow lacked that certain something. I was equally horrified when I looked at the menu: Doesn't anyone check what's on it before printing? There's "Peach," "Pigment," and "Green Veltiner" (the latter seems to be more of a beer than a wine)... By the way: The same things are also on the online menu. If I go to a grand 5-star hotel and spend a lot of money, everything has to be perfect - not just the food. I don't think that's too much to ask... By the way: Dieselben Dinge stehen auch in der Online-Karte. Wenn ich in ein 5-Sterne-Grandhotel gehe und einen Haufen Geld ausgebe, dann muss alles passen - nicht nur das Essen. Ich glaube nicht, dass das zu viel verlangt ist…

(Translated by Google) We went there for dinner with friends. In a quiet atmosphere, you can enjoy excellent, well-balanced, and exceptional food, imaginatively presented. We spent a very pleasant evening there and would gladly return. What's more, the restaurant's location offers absolutely stunning views of the Rhine Valley from the Petersberg.

(Translated by Google) We had a wonderful evening at Bill's Grill Restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and offers a stylish ambiance. The view of the Rhine and the surrounding countryside is magnificent. The dishes were outstanding. From the beef tartare, tuna tartare, and burratta to the cheeks of Galician beef, the yellowfin tuna steak, and the mildly smoked Scottish Label Rouge salmon. The dishes were beautifully presented and prepared with love and passion. Everything was so delicious. The service was also wonderful throughout the evening. We would love to come back!

We visited Bill's Restaurant for the first time yesterday (external guests, not hotel guests, table by the window) and enjoyed a very pleasant evening. The restaurant offers a wonderful ambiance and a beautiful view. The service was excellent, as was the food. We would be happy to return. (Original) Ich kann die negativen Kommentare nicht nachvollziehen. Wir waren gestern erstmals im Bills Restaurant (externe Gäste, keine Hotelgäste, Tisch am Fenster) und haben einen sehr schönen Abend genossen. Restaurant Rheinterrassen in Konigswinter offers a unique atmosphere with a stunning view of the Rhine. Guests can indulge in a diverse selection of delicious drinks and dishes, including refreshing cocktails, healthy and vegetarian options, as well as a rich breakfast and brunch menu. The location provides an excellent view of the Rhein and Bad Godesberg.
What a pity it’s rainy day that we had appointment there. The hotel looks very high class as the location and the building, very big one., like castle. We didn’t have good view due to rain, all the way like driving in the forest, we had drinks and cakes at restaurant next to the hotel, should be good place for summer!
Lily C — Google review
I like the restaurant overall but I think there is also room for improvement. I tried a duck breast and lamb knuckles. Duck was nicely cooked, skin side was crispy and inside was juicy, sweet potato chips and mash went well with the duck. Knuckle dish was a little bit different than I expected, it was served in a fibre form. It was served with mashed potato, greens, radish and nuts which made the dish smooth, crunchy, fresh and vibrant at the same time. For both dishes I would say seasoning could be better.
Korhan D — Google review
The hotel is completely espectacular and I had high expectations on the restaurant. The views are astonishing, specially from the terrace if the weather allows. The food is just OK, the menu is very small and limited, but I am ok with that if the quality is good. In this case the quality was normal, I've eaten better meat in cheaper restaurants. The service is dreadful, they are extremely slow.
Paquito R — Google review
Decent food, friendly staff even if things are a bit haphazard, really lovely view, but the prices are so extreme. It’s 10€ for a bottle of water! We sat on the terrace, and were enjoying a nice meal until the guests at the adjacent table were given an ashtray and started smoking while we were trying to eat. I would reluctantly ignore this in a beer garden but not a restaurant with table cloths where they charge 30€ per dish. I will never understand the German cultural attitude to smoking and the compete ignorance shown to other people’s health. However in a restaurant setting this level of selfishness should not be allowed. Non-smokers are paying guests too and are not creating such unpleasantness for others.

Normal I don’t write reviews, but this restaurant is really the worth I have visit in Germany . Make reservation for table when arrived still have to wait for 30 min ..servers say wait otherwise you want to eat at dirty table ?? Wait other one hour come dish cold and not well prepared.. Nestled along the banks of the Rhine, Rohmühle in Oberkassel is a charming restaurant that offers an eclectic mix of global cuisine and vegan options. With its stunning terrace overlooking the river and the picturesque Siebengebirge mountains, it’s an ideal spot for any meal or special event. Guests can indulge in unique breakfast creations, enjoy daily changing business lunches, or savor a diverse evening menu complemented by delightful homemade cakes.
I dined here for Valentine’s Day, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, and the romantic atmosphere set the perfect mood for the evening. The service was excellent and attentive without being intrusive, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The food was simply amazing, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish we ordered was a delight, making the evening even more special. Overall, exceeded our expectations with its great food, impeccable service, and charming ambience. We’ll definitely be coming back for another special occasion! Highly recommend!

Vegan steak was fantastic, great flavour and texture. Ravioli was ok. Beer was fresh and crisp. Waitress was fantastic; friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

This restaurant is at a really nice location. A reservation should be done, because it was filled very well. The menu was very delicious and made it hard to decide. Also side dish is well chosen. It was delicious, extremely good. The restuarant itself is modern a furnished and very clean. The service was also very good. Parking is solved with park house 4, where you can park the car. We paid 7,50€. The prices of the restaurant are high, but the quality and way of cooking is extremely good and justify the pricing.

Brilliant multilingual service. Our waitress was very client oriented and friendly. Lovely food, Fresh & well presented. Great location by the Rhine. Highly recommended.
Keith C — Google review
Food is quite good, sauces were maybe a little too rich and my chicken slightly overcooked, but all tasted well. The atmosphere is great and the view spectacular. With Alexandra we had a competent, attentive and really friendly waitress, she made us feel at home. All in all an enjoyable evening.
Bernhard K — Google review
At the boarder of the Rhine, an old Sawmill transformed into a special place, which combines a great interior with a spectacular exterior and terrace. Food was excellent, the service attentive and funny, despite a full house. A well chosen decoration, comfy seating, dogs allowed, providing a nice bar, there is little to miss.
Chris_D ( — Google review
I saw a lot of complaints about the staff, I disagree. We've had breakfast here twice and the staff was very friendly both times. They switch to fluent English too if your German is a bit rusty. Both inside and outside has a cosy area to sit. Outside gives lovely view of the Rhine. The food itself is great! Service is fast and the taste is lovely! I recommend grabbing a bite here if you are in the area!

Rohmühle is a place where elegance meets a scenic riverside setting. Nestled along the Rhine, this refined venue welcomes guests with warm, attentive service and a thoughtfully curated menu—short, yet crafted with care, ensuring each dish feels special. At its heart stands a Beethoven sculpture, a quiet homage to the city’s musical soul, adding a touch of cultural charm to the dining experience. While the prices are a step above the casual eateries of the downtown, the ambiance, the view, and the quality make it a worthwhile indulgence for those seeking a refined yet relaxed evening by the water.

Nestled in the charming town of Königswinter, Godesburg Castle stands as a testament to medieval architecture and history. Dating back to the 13th century, this fortress may not be vast, but its rugged stone facade perfectly embodies the essence of a classic castle. Although much of it was destroyed in the late 16th century, Godesburg has been lovingly reconstructed and now offers visitors an opportunity to explore its intriguing ruins while delving into its storied past through engaging exhibits.
A natural, majestic dining experience that’s fun & relaxed. You’ll love the grand view of the seven mountain range and appreciate service that is quick, calm and professional. We had a talented gentleman on the piano playing along the conversations with jazz classics. We‘ll return and enjoy this place of elegance & grandeur.

Absolutely magical place! The restaurant is set in an old castle on top of a hill, offering breathtaking views. Inside, everything is spotless and beautifully maintained. I highly recommend visiting this unique spot — it’s an experience you won’t forget!

It's a nice place to visit kinda fallen into disrepair, failing to stay the tourist attraction it once was. Biergarten Petersberg is a spacious terrace offering stunning views of Konigswinter, Bonn, and the beautiful sunset over the Rhine. With a capacity for 300 guests, it's an ideal spot to relax after a scenic hike or to enjoy a drink while taking in the breathtaking sunset. While some find the restaurant slightly pricey for its service and food quality, others appreciate the reasonable prices compared to other tourist spots.
The view from top was amazing. Food prices were also reasonable and not expensive like other touristic places.
Yasir K — Google review
The place offers a breathtaking view of the River and city. You have many tables, but the most disputed ones are those close to the wall where you can sit to appreciate the views and enjoy your beer or food. There is no service to the tables and you need to order you drink and food at the restaurant’s balcony. No table reservation is possible and all tables are outdoors. The crew seems to do their best, but you may face a queue for getting your order. There’s a paid parking place close to the restaurant, as well as many hiking options. It’s definitely worth visiting the place and enjoy the views. Attention to the working times schedule because it might vary due to weather conditions.

The food was good. Not great but refreshing after the hike up the hill. Sadly almost everything was sold out and we had to repeat our order for four times to the waiter because he couldn’t remember. Gasthaus auf dem Oelberg is a traditional German restaurant located in a stunning setting with beautiful views. The establishment offers a nice selection of German cuisine and wine, providing visitors with an authentic dining experience. While the service is generally good, it can get quite crowded on sunny days, leading to longer wait times. However, the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beautiful environment makes it worth the visit.

Need to book a table in advance, will be completely full all day long on weekends and holidays. We enjoyed the wonderful place and view. But the waitresses were completely under stress and trouble. We needed to wait more than 2 hours for our lunch (for only 3 persons), although we booked a table for lunch in advance (May 1st). Also the first drinks were served after more than half hour after order. And even the wrong drinks. This happened several times on the same day. Stay away on such days!

L'Osteria is a spacious restaurant located at the end of the promenade walk on Beuel side, offering both outdoor and indoor seating. During busy periods, such as All Saints Day with beautiful weather, it can get crowded but the management handles it well. The staff is friendly and efficient, although there might be a wait for food during peak times. The restaurant enforces COVID-19 protocols by requiring proof of vaccination and ensuring that all staff wear masks.

The pasta dish I ordered was so disappointing. I mean I just can't understand how is it possible to a place like this to serve pasta this way. More than words see the photo.
Nuno P — Google review
The place is huge, you have some outside seating and lots of places inside. It was right at the end of our promenade walk on Beuel side. On All saints day, with a beautiful weather, it was really busy but the management was good. You had to show your covid Green pass to sit inside and waiters and staff were all masked. The waitress serving our table was quick for taking orders but it did take a while to get the food. It was a busy period so we didn't mind. We ordered two pizzas for kids and two pasta plates for adults. Pizza size is huge, but it's a thin crust pizza and our 9 year old could finish his Margherita while 5 year old needed help with his spinach and egg one. Pizzas were good, nothing to write home about and nothing to complain either. One of the pasta dish( monthly special) with pumpkin was a bit underwhelming, just band pasta and roasted pieces of pumpkin which were still quite raw and no sauce at all. Had to drizzle it with olive oil to get it down. Other pasta was ravioli also from seasonal menu and it was quite good. So mixed bag for us. We were too done to try the desserts maybe some other day. Though Tiramisu looked good and portion sizes were decent.

Although I'm not rare guest here, I will write about this place again.. Today's almost rainy day was shining especially due to professionalism and well behavior of waiter and his colleagues at the entrance to the garden part. I would dare to say that, except cold politeness, here in Germany human warm and open approuch is not what you see every day. This young team try to do their best to satisfy my requests and make me welcome here... If I'm asked, places with good and warm staff have huge advantage in comparison to places with nice chairs, painted walls and shining advertisements.. L'Osteria is restaurant where I like to come, especially in spring and summer time. Mr. Kilian make this day sunny, although weather forecast was not so promising 😎. Thanks for making my day... This is modern, well located and nicely furnished place. Lot of space for walking, running enjoying around. Parking available indoors as well as out next to it. Garden with Rhein view.. Simple but good food...

It's a L'Osteria so you know what you are getting, reliable pizza and lots of it! Maybe I caught them on an off day but this one did not seem quite as good as say the one in Spich. Just little things, minor things wrong with the order, pizza not quite as tasty. Like I say, everyone has off days.

Great place for some italian food.. Price was good, Taste was good! The only thing is that its really crowded on the weekend.. sometimes you have to wait a little bit.. But when you ordered something its definetly good!

Konrad's is a modern, trendy hotel bar with a terrace and spectacular views of the city and river. The rooftop restaurant features fantastic views of the city, including the Bonn Castle and the Rhine River. The Skrei (Codd) fish is served with truffle and German Sauvignon Blanc from Pfalz. Konrad's will be open for business soon!
Amazing experience with food and wine. The four course menu was more than enough. Memorable loop de mer and a white Burgundy that had a note of... creamy polenta. The masterpiece was the Rinderfilet with a Spanish red but less impressive was the Rhabarber dessert. Elegant service with English speaking personnel. Breathtaking view of the river Rhine and of Cologne at a distance.

We were staying at the Marriott and wanted to enjoy something small and a glass or two of wine. At first there were no tables. We thought we would checkout the view and then take a glass back to our room. The view was amazing. As we returned to the bar to get our wine, the very friendly and helpful hostess thought a table would be available. She double checked and then led us to a 2 top table with a nice view. We enjoyed a few snacks and nice wine enjoying a great atmosphere, wonderful staff - waiter and bar staff and of course the view. Our next trip to Bonn, we will make a reservation and enjoy the full experience.

Konrad's is a fancy rooftop restaurant. If you plan to visit the restaurant I recommend to make a reservation in advance otherwise you might not be lucky to get a table in the evening rush hour. All of the staff is very pleasant and professional. The main waiter is very helpful and is able to recommend great wine and meals. The meals are well prepared and very delicious. In my opinion, the restaurant with its meals would deserve Michelin star. Dinning in the restaurant is very nice experience.

The restaurant had a great atmosphere and excellent service, making for a pleasant dining experience. However, the menu was quite limited, which may not suit all diners. The food itself was solid, with good flavors and quality, earning an 8/10. A good spot, but a bit more variety would make it even better.

First time at the restaurant fir a corporate event. The food was lovely to look at and great to eat. Tasty and exquisit. The portions are quite small, as expected. Suggestions for improvement: take less time between serving dishes and include Portuguese wine in the wine cart. Staff was very professional and nice. Overall, a great experience. The view from the balcony is amazing!!!!

Great that the restaurant has reopened after covid with a new concept : next to the breathtaking view you have from the 17th floor of the Mariott hotel - not anymore standard bar food with burgers but a real high quality menue designed and created by an excellent Michelin star rated chef. So combine a great sunset over the river Rhine with the service of a young and passionate team bringing new culinary levels to Bonn region. What a surprise - and I guess it will not be long you need to Book well in advance to get one of the few tables … I had three courses with two glasses of wine )excellent choice by the staff) brining young to 110 €

Restaurant
Redüttchen Weinbar & Restaurant, located in the historic Bad Godesberg Redoute, has a rich history dating back to the late 18th century. Once frequented by celebrities and politicians during Bonn's time as West Germany's capital, this establishment now offers a rustic yet sophisticated ambiance. The restaurant prides itself on its extensive wine selection featuring predominantly German top wines.
Food is amazing, modern and wonderfully presented. Service is friendly and flexible to accommodate requests. Price is adequate to the high quality. Recommended!

Magda K — Google review
I try to be very honest with my reviews. It is still not easy to report when things were not ideal. Especially at a restaurant that is such an important and classic Bonn institution. But for my tastes the Prefix Menu was somewhat disappointing. The Angus steak was cooked perfectly, but loaded with pepper. I love pepper but the pepper crust and pepper sauce took away the steak flavor. This is maybe good because the steak could have been a higher quality. It had some sinew, which should never be the case when spending more than 100 Euro for dinner. The fish dish was somewhat bland in flavor and the texture was off. The fish was light and very high quality, but under it were chewy grains - they were not buckwheat but something along those lines. This was not a nice contrast for my palette. What I really enjoyed was the deconstructed Caesar salad. The Chai tea concept desert was successful and innovative, but I'm not sure Chai fits with a foodie or high end eating concept. The service was friendly but a bit slow to react or to find our table again with the drinks we ordered. I am glad I ate here, I am just not so convinced about the experience based on the high price tag.

A positive experience. We booked this place for Easter lunch and loved everything about it. From the moment we arrived until we left, we enjoyed every step of the experience. We definitely recommend it and would return without hesitation.

The restaurant welcomes you with a rustic but at the same time high-quality and pleasant atmosphere. The host of the restaurant also sees himself as such and accompanies you skilfully jovial through the evening. The wine list offers an excellent selection of mainly German top wines. Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Rhine, Bastei Restaurant offers a delightful blend of refined German cuisine and authentic Neapolitan pizza. This charming eatery is housed in a historic building that provides stunning views of the river, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Guests can indulge in homemade pasta while sipping on exquisite wines from the Rhine Valley. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, complemented by friendly service that enhances your dining experience.
The restaurant located right next to the river and it provides a great view. The pizza was good but it was big for me so I could not finish it. The day I visited the restaurant was a sunny day so the terrace filled up pretty quickly so they do not allow reservations for this area. It is good if you come early to have a nice spot.

A nice place for a good pizza and a beautiful view. However the service was really average, taking a very long time to be waited, order and ask for the dessert Menu and to pay. The waffles (which are their most prominent dessert) were also unavailable even though I asked at 5:00 which is even before the average dinner time. Good pizza but some improvements need to be made.

Pretty Riverside location is the best thing it has going for it. Meals were very slow to arrive with long delays between different members if our group getting their meal. Also took 15mins+ between ordering a drink and it arriving. Such slow service spoilt what should have been a lovely evening.
Emma W — Google review
We have recently had dinner here. The food was served in time, some meals could have been a bit bigger (Liver with mashed potatoes) whereas for example the salmon was excellent in quality and quantity. But: after ordering dessert, it took almost an hour and several requests until we got what we've ordered, and still the coffee was missing. When asking for the bill, the total amount was named and also "if we want to pay the exact amount or round up". Considering the poor service, this behavour is unacceptable. Next time there's other nice restaurants around the Rhine.

Everything is wonderful.. The taste of the dishes, the cozy atmosphere, beautiful view, attentive staff, fair pricing, size of portions which is more than the capacity of a normal person.. Celebrated my birthday here. I pity the bartender as he was the only one taking orders and serving foods/drinks to everyone, so it kinda took time. Regardless of that, the service was good and the foods were the best! Must try for the shrimps in coconut milk---as they are literally using fresh coconut milk that does not taste like the one from a can. It does taste like home! They also offer wide variety of drinks. Non-alcoholic drinkers like me would enjoy it here. ♡

Very nice atmosphere, very friendly service - even if a bit inattentive - good cocktails. Super disappointing steaks (disastrous for a Brazilian place!) Ordered medium, got a well done delivered. The grilled with garlic and salt version is just a regular steak with garlic butter added on top after it was grilled = overcooked with supermarket butter as a spice. Come for the cocktails and the lively atmosphere but eat elsewhere... Payment by credit card no problem

We went on a Friday evening, It looks like the restaurant is under staffed, the service took extremely long, more than 40 minute to get our drinks and one more hour for the food. The staff seemed to be under heavy pressure as they confused orders multiple times. Once served, the food arrive though, no complaint. Steak was tender and all sides were great.

Visiting here from Canada and I have to say this was one of the best steakhouses staff, speak English, and from the beginning experienced was very friendly and informative, the food arrived quickly very hot and very tasty try it for yourself we will not be disappointed

It was such a nice experience for me. The reservation went smooth, the service was nice, the cooking on stones is something really interesting and moreover the food was delicious. We took 2 fillets. One was a fillet from Uruguay and another one was Argentinian. They both were really yummy but Argentinian steak had more taste in it. The white sauce is absolutely the best. I would really buy it for home if I could. The grilled vegetables were delicious as well. The only downside for me was that I'm currently pregnant and all the steaks that I eat has to be "well done" without any trace of blood etc. Unfortunately while cooking the stones gets cold very quickly so some part of my fillet wasn't cooked properly so I had to give it to my partner. I wish they had an option for people like me and prepare the meat for cooking more "done".

Staff was extremely friendly and spoke very good English. The food was excellent (even though you had to cook it on your own), meat was very high quality and made it worth the visits.. unfortunately I was too hungry and couldn’t wait to dig in.. hence the post food pics.. So far, the best restaurant in Bonn (for me).

Unique concept of being able to cook the steak on our own to the perfect level of preference on a hot plate. Taste was great with good options of sides and moreover a portion of fries is always included with the steak. It has good outdoor sitting area and a Parkplatz just next to it which is fairly priced. The only downside was the low choices of sauces.

Atmosphere: Great. Food: Not great. Ordered Duck breast in orange sauce with potato gratin and vegetables. Duck was a little overcooked, cut into thick slabs and very chewy. It was also very poorly seasoned and this was the same for the vegetables - they tasted very bland as there was no dressing, or butter, or anything for that matter. The orange sauce was sweet but lacking in flavour. It desperately needed some orange zest and a few drops of lemon juice. The potato gratin was truly awful, the top layers dried out to be almost inedible, and the potatoes below tasted and had a texture like they had been reheated after being cooked a long long time ago. If you have ever tried eating french fries (Pommes) the day after you will know what I mean. Desert was a Chocolate tart with ice cream and berries. The tart was one of those shop bought microwaved molten in middle affairs and the berries consisted of one raspberry and a few grapes that had been sliced in half. Grapes are a poor choice to counteract the heaviness of chocolate as they are just not sharp enough. Chef needs to buy a packet of raspberry coulis next time they are in Metro picking up the choc tarts. The desert came across as just assembled rather than 'gastronomically created'. Looked pretty on the plate though. Was a pleasant evening but the food was a let down. Service was pleasant if a bit slow. Note: My review is based on my one visit, so take that into account. If I go again, I'll update my experience here.

Certainly the best meal money can buy in Bonn, but not without some shortcomings. Highly recommend! The food and atmosphere were, as hoped, stunning. My partner and I spent four hours enjoying our five course meal, which came with smaller dishes throughout. The seafood and cheeses were especially delectable, while the beef dishes were delicious but not quite as special (though take this with a grain of salt, as we are mostly pescatarian). Each course brought unexpected and exciting flavors, with gorgeous design and myriad tastes. The chef was attentive, descriptive and professional; though, he could have been a tad more inviting. Pricing was definitely expensive; however, when considering the amount and quality of food we were served, they reflected the meal perfectly. Service was optimal, with each dish cleared and glass filled as soon as one emptied. One final criticism, an oddly important aspect of the environment: the music. About one course into the meal, we realized they were playing classical covers of 2000’s pop songs; the playlist only lasted about an hour and a half, so we listened multiple times through. Overall, we loved our experience at Halbedel’s and would definitely recommend a few changes to the environment.

Fantastic food served solely by the owners. Upper end menu and prices but absolutely worth it. Guests typically spend about 4 hours at the meal, however, the time flies by with all the interesting dishes that are served in that time. Highly recommended.
Mairead F — Google review
What struck me the most is not how good the food is or how much of it you get on the tasting menu but in all honesty how it is a shining example of consistent German excellence. 30 years the chef has been doing this at Michelin star level. His wife looks after the wine and service. The Chef visits every single table (only seated once the whole day) to go through the course and answer questions. I have no real words, I felt like I should stand up every time he came over to the table out of sheer respect for the consistent high level everything over the years. A true Bonn gem that everyone should enjoy at least once.

We went to bonn for the weekend, and afterwards we went to this restaurant, the drinks were good, but the red wine tasted like vinegar, when our food arrived it was warm, but it was almost cold. Everything tasted very salty and like vinegar. When I ate my steak and took some kräuterbutter it was so salty that I immediately reacted, my butter tasted like margarine and I paid €30 for a steak. It was not worth it cause next day we all got a stomachache and got the runs. I do not recommend this!!Edit:Unbelievable my mother felt terrible after this and she started vomiting and everything was just so stressful this restaurant gave her food poisoning never am I going back here!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡 I PAID 170€ for FOOD POISONING, UNBELIEVABLE..

K.U.K. Weinhäuschen, located on the banks of the Rhine in Mehlem, offers a selection of Austrian dishes complemented by seasonal specialties. The restaurant's terrace provides stunning views of the Rhine and the Siebengebirge across the river. Guests praise the attentive service and delicious food, with recommendations for dishes like gebackene Champignons and perfectly cooked steaks. The restaurant is popular, so reservations are recommended.
Very busy Austrian restaurant on the Rhine, booking essential. I had the steak which was perfectly done, but the schnitzel seems a popular choice. Menus in German, but the staff spoke to me in English when they noticed I was an English speaker.

Nice ambience, friendly staff, good and quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. I love the Aperitif "Deutsches Vermouth mit Eis und Tonic Wasser". Highly recommend the gebackene Champignons as appetizer. They also have a terrace which I believe open only in summer. Nice view to the Rhein.

Unfortunately the staff is not paying enough attention to the new arrivals. They don't take outside reservations (which is fine). However new arrivals are pretty much ignored. Now it happens that some people wait patiently until a table becomes available - other people are not so nice and just dart by as soon as someone stands up. The staff doesn't care. I think they should. We also wondered why there are no tables for two. The food was okay. They either mischarged us or charged 1.40€ for a portion of whipped cream, which we find ridiculous. Beverage proces are also unjustified (0.5l coke for 6€). They have a nice view - but only a few places in the afternoon sun. Either come early or come during the week.

The establishment is known for its excellent service and delicious food, with the chef being highly praised for his culinary skills. Guests can savor a variety of dishes, from schnitzel in the summer to goose in the winter, catering to different tastes. The charming courtyard provides a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for enjoying an evening filled with delightful cuisine and fine wine.

Woooow… what can we say about Maternus is beyond words! We had an extremely pleasant time there, with a very good tradicional food. And not to mention the staff, which is also part of the experience. Anyway, we ate the best schnitzel ever! Just try it and you won’t be disappointed. We wanna go there again sometime 🥰 Thank you, Maternus!

We were here for the goose as we heard before that it is good but we were very disappointed. We had a reservation which you need for this time of year here, the atmosphere is nice but kinda falling apart, the lamps were barely hanging of the wall and flickered if you leaned back. For food we all had the goose and after a while it came, the waiting time wasn't to bad but it wasn't short. We all got 3 potato dumplings and a bit of red cabbage, the dumplings were good but small and the red cabbage was only ok. Now the goose, it was definitely disappointing, the crust was good but everything tasted and smelled like a weird smoke, I don't really know how to explain it, almost like cigar smoke. After we told the waitress she went to the kitchen and said she'd come back... Which she didn't. In the end it was rather disappointing and we didn't get any discount on the bad goose and it was very expensive:/

When biking in Germany, you can’t always find authentic German food. Our meal at Maternus was really excellent. With some coaching provided by the staff, we had a delightful meal including their tomato soup and a superb schnitzel. B&A Adams, CANADA

Extremely disappointing given the very positive reviews. Had the salmon, but it was almost completely uncooked and I was forced to return it as it was actually cold on the inside. (It was also swimming in butter). Astounding as this is one of their main dishes. Hope others have better luck!! 🤞

A restaurant with good home cooking in the center of Bad Godesberg. It is one of the places where politicians and diplomats from the Bonn Republic used to meet. The decor is traditional, the ambience pleasantly calm and perfect for good conversations while eating. The menu offers traditional German dishes but also salads, pasta, etc. The prices are ok, the staff very friendly. The food of good quality. Unfortunately, one of the dishes was too salty, but it was exchanged immediately. The second time it still was a little too salty (and we tend to eat spicy and relatively salty!). Nevertheless, the other dishes were good, so we will certainly give the place a second chance, since we liked the calm atmosphere.

Maternus is a MUST, a true ícone.... I knew Maternus under the Baroness in 1968-9, when Bonn was the capital... It was a true pleasure and experience to rediscover it....The place is quite the same under a new management and the service is excellent, the food is great although not as international as in the past....the wines are overpriced....

Nestled in the picturesque setting of Königswinter, this inviting eatery boasts an impressive selection of wines sourced from their own vineyard, Weingut Pieper. The rustic yet well-maintained interior creates a warm atmosphere perfect for enjoying regional dishes alongside exquisite Drachenfels wine.
Upon arriving, the entrance area (Hof) was nicely lit with candles. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and seated. Thereafter followed, prompt, friendly, polite and generally very nice service. Then the food came, which was very nice and the wine was also very nice too. All in all, very nice and id happily go back there. Well done, keep up the great service!

Whether on the beautiful, sunny terrace, which invites you to linger, or in the living room, which has just been renovated and furnished with a lot of love. Like every year at St. Martin's Day, this year we enjoyed a great goose dinner. Ms. Pieper values good products and so the poultry meat was excellent again. There were also dumplings and excellent red cabbage and a wonderful baked apple. We completely enjoyed the really large portion! We also love the large selection of high-quality wines and can always rely on the Pieper team's recommendations - they know the tastes of their regular guests very well! We particularly enjoy treating ourselves to the house's Yellow Muscat sparkling wine with its unique bouquet and would like to recommend it to our guests. All in all, we feel very well looked after at the Pieper family business. We receive friendly and competent service and are already looking forward to our next visit! (Translated by Google) It is a very historic family restaurant that has been passed down for generations. It was originally a vineyard that the restaurant later purchased to produce its own wine. There are not many seats in the restaurant, and it is decorated in a traditional German style. The wine produced by the restaurant itself is used to accompany the meal, which gives it a unique flavor. The main meal this time was sausage and mashed potatoes, which tasted very good, but I heard that the steak is also very special. I hope to have the opportunity to try it next time. For wine, I recommend Luo Siling’s white wine, and I bought a few bottles to take away after the meal.

The restaurant's ambiance is defined by eggplant and green colors, creating an inviting atmosphere to explore their diverse menu. Whether it's Gyros, Pizza, Burger or Schnitzel, there's something for everyone. Despite its location in an industrial zone, the restaurant is spacious with a prominent smokers' area at the entrance.

Located in an industrial zone of sorts, situated on a parking lot between supermarkets and car dealerships. The restaurant is quite large and has a big smokers' area up front which you need to pass through to get to the entrance. The vibe is more fastfood and takeout joint than cozy restaurant. Nonetheless, the Hellas Grill was packed with shoppers and families with kids on a Saturday evening. We had ordered takeout over an hour in advance and still had to wait around 15 minutes for our order. That said, the food was very good and tasty. The salads were fresh, the Zaziki aromatic and the very affordable portions huge. Excellent value for money!

The hotel is good. Rooms are modest,... ensure you talk to the hotel to get details on how to get in, just in case no one is at the reception and the phone for some reason goes unanswered. The owner and staff are really friendly and they allow an early check in and late check great place to stay if in Bonn- Bad Godesburg. The restaurant downstairs is separate from the hotel. Friendly, comfortable, and excellent food! My husband and I don't speak German, so we were a bit concerned about reading the chalkboard menu. But the very friendly staff read the menu to us and provided excellent suggestions. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the wine recommendation, and the food!
Deborah K — Google review
This is a review for the hotel part, but since I cannot see the difference between the restaurant and the hotel (you seem to be having breakfast in the restaurant for example) and there is no dedicated hotel entry in google, this is listed here because it affects both. Breakfast isn't very good and there is little choice, the waitress however, was always friendly. The bar is also limited and it seems you don't get Longdrinks after 9 PM... The rooms are good, but the bathroom is very, very small. Also, lock your door and use the "Do not disturb" shield unless you want cleaning staff to enter your room at 8:30 AM. If you bought WiFi access, hide the small Note with your credentials; cleaning staff will take it. The shower in my room also had low water pressure.

Delicious food but expensive. In addition, one needs to wait in order to be seated. Sometime, there no tables or one is not allowed to reserve a table. (Translated by Google) Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or the ambiance, but only on the incredibly unpleasant owner: Officially open until 11:00 PM, we wanted to stop by for a quick glass of wine around 10:15 PM. We were asked to leave in a truly rude manner, which was outrageous and felt downright awful. When we pointed out that the restaurant was actually open until 11:00 PM (and there were other guests in the restaurant), we were told we could only sit until 10:00 PM - "this has been our house policy for 50 years." We were then asked to leave. I don't know what the problem is - maybe it really is house policy, maybe we were the wrong clientele (three adults in their late 30s), maybe the owner just didn't feel like having any more guests... It could all be true. But it just feels really awful.

Pizza restaurant
San Marino is a restaurant in Bonn (Oberkassel) that offers Italian cuisine. It is partially accessible for individuals with limited mobility. The staff is friendly and the food is highly regarded, including dishes such as pizza, lasagne, calzone, and fettuccine. The waiters are fluent in English and provide excellent service. San Marino is known for its delicious pizza and pasta dishes.
I dined here last night with family while visiting from the US. English menu is not available, but Google Translate works well. I'm Italian-American, so I usually do not like most Italian restaurants in the US because I enjoy my own cooking better. That being said, the food here was phenomenal. Every dish I ordered was beyond expectation. I ordered Bruschetta, Eggplant Parmigiano, and Aglio et Olio. Everything came out hot and fresh and was very delicious. So much food, I ended up bringing half home. I would absolutely return to try more dishes. In the pictures, the Bruschetta had 3, and I ate one before taking the picture. Also, I asked for crushed red pepper flakes to add to my aglio et olio, and they brought out homemade chili oil that went perfect with it. 100% recommend!

Ordererd two Pizza ortolana, result was very disappointing. To be honest, we just returned from a vaccation in rome, so the stacke was quite high, but nevertheless I would not recommend this restaurant (for Pizza). Dough: 1 out of 5 --> probably wrong flour or did prepare too late (fine homogenous structure), bottom too think Sauce: For garlic as an designated ingredient, I would have expected way more. Topping: Interesting (let's call it upside down) - Cheese on top, rest below Overall: At best 5-6 € per pizza, not 10,90€ as payed for

Amazingly friendly staff and service - great food and they’re flexible with customisation too. Highly recommend!

Very nice staff and good food all around. Waiter was fluent in English as a bonus - and he was very kind and patient. We had pizza, lasagne, calzone, and fettuccine- and all parties thought it was good food.

Best place to dine-in. I loved their Pizza and Pasta. The restaurant staff is very friendly and the overall experience was marvellous. It's my go-to place everytime I'm visiting Bonn-oberkassel.

The best Italian I've found in the neighborhood. Extensive menu of lots of tasty stuff like pastas and pizzas with fancier specials. The seasonal offerings of spargel or pfefferlings sound better than they are, with stingy amounts of the seasonal ingredients. Ask to see the kegel (bowling) alley in the basement!

DELIVERY FOOD REVIEW ONLY Chicken curry was very tasty, not best I've had but delicious nonetheless. 4/5 Naan bread was not fresh and quite hard. 1/5 Mango Lassi was watered down I think because it was not as dense as the ones I have had in the past. 2/5 All in all, I do recommend the curries, prices are good and the portions are large.

Original 31 may 2018- The food was bad, the curry had no spices Updated 13 Jan 2020- As you have replied to the review after a year, let me complete the story. When I complained that there were no spices, a lot of Tabasco was added which made the curry super hot without any taste. Also the nans that were ordered looked to be frozen nans which we heated and served. Is this what you call good and fresh food? I have visited more than 30 Indian restaurants in Europe and it was the worst Indian food I had.

Authentic Italian restaurant on a small village. The al fresco dining. The staff, especially the Italian guy (that has curly hair hihi :) ) is so friendly and humble that he gave us another scoop of Gelato. I ordered Lasagna al Forno and was so creamy and lots of mozarella. Perfect place for a little relaxation and dining outside. Very recommended. 👌🏻

Located in Konigswinter, Restaurant „Zum Ännchen“ welcomes guests with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The rustic setting and friendly service create an immediate sense of comfort. The extensive menu features healthy dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. Following a renovation in November 2017, the restaurant now offers an outdoor terrace and has seen several tenants since then. Visitors have praised the pleasant ambiance, good service, and slightly above-average prices.
We find this place while travelling back from Frankfurt to Netherlands. Such a lucky find. The place is five minutes away from autobahn number 3. We ordered Rinderbuillon Soup, Gaprese Salat, Wiener Schnitzel, Rumpsteak and Plain Spagetti for our daughter. Everything was delicious, especially the Rumpsteak. Rumpsteak was tender, cooked perfectly (we asked for medium rare) and full of flavours. Wiener Schnitzel is served with baked potatoes (Bratkartoffeln), they were as delicious as the Schnitzel

Lovely little restaurant in Oberpleis. And very popular, judging from the guests arriving while dining. The Aspargus “special” with Schnitzel and potatoes was very good. Great Sauce Hollandaise. The only reason for not giving 5 stars: the Schnitzel was a bit tough and spent a minute or two too long in the pan. Service was absolutely charming and on top of things!

McDonald's is a well-established fast-food chain renowned for its hamburgers and fries. If you desire a secluded spot, away from the hustle and bustle of highways, this is the ideal place to visit. Sadly this is true for many restaurants of the big fast food franchises nowadays: Make sure to count/check your dips/sauces, because they’ll try to “forget” them (accidentally of course). You had to ask for the drinks menu when the starter was already on the table. Conclusion: Not recommended. A decent burger place in Godesberg with good Pommes but average burgers. The patty was well done but quite thick and it was almost impossible to bite into it as a burger. The normal burger named after the shop had no cheese and only some with fancy cheeses offered any. The portion sizes are large so you can share one burger if not very hungry. The water and other beverages are very expensive just because you are at a restaurant.
E M — Google review
Very delicious, always friendly. They have many options for vegan and vegetarians
Elena A — Google review
Pleasant location and ambience, especially in Summer when you can sit outside. Burgers a let down. Buns over-toasted, too much sauce/toppings. The patties themselves were too compressed so the texture and appearance was not that of a premium burger. Also overcooked (beyond well done). Little things just not well done, like bacon advertised as crispy being soggy and barely fried. Nice fries, drinks, everything else good and great service. Not a disaster but not as good as say Freddy Schilling, at least when I went.
Matt D — Google review

It's quite busy at weekends, but that just adds to the festive atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxing evening out, then this is the perfect place!
Service was absolutely great, all the staff was super-friendly and super-kind!!!

Staff are very friendly. We couldn’t read German menue but one of the waitress helped us to order. And food was good and reasonable. It was very busy with local Customer!
Lovelysummer — Google review
We were profoundly disappointed with the Rheinalm. As newcomers to Bonn, we visited the establishment on our first day, only to be informed that new guests were not being accepted due to an overwhelming number of customers and the extended time required for food orders. Several hours later, as we passed by, an ungracious woman informed us from a distance that the establishment was no longer accepting new guests, essentially urging us to depart promptly. Despite my inquiry about the possibility of making a reservation for the following day, the woman ignored my request and proceeded to walk away. Undeterred by our initial experience, we decided to return to the Rheinalm the following day. This time, we were fortunate enough to secure a table. After being seated, we managed to order our meals relatively promptly. However, the food arrived shortly after our order, and this is where our greatest disappointment occurred. A pork schnitzel, priced at 26.50€, and a jaeger schnitzel, priced at 30€, both contained minimal meat, were deep-fried, and had an exceptionally poor taste. We endured a prolonged wait of approximately 45 minutes to settle our bill, which prompted us to leave the establishment due to our growing impatience. This situation was not isolated, as we observed similar delays experienced by other guests. It is deeply regrettable that despite numerous complaints raised two years ago, the owners of the Rheinalm appear to have disregarded the feedback received. In summary, the Rheinalm offers a disappointing dining experience. While it boasts a scenic view and an inviting atmosphere, the subpar quality of the food, exorbitant prices, and slow service overshadow these positive attributes.

Original Bavarian chalet with a big terrace in front of the Kamera hotel right at the Rhine. On the menu are Bavarian dishes, the Weisswurst is the best I have eaten outside of Bavaria! On Sundays they have live music Bavarian style, in winter you indicated an ice rink outside and they serve hot wine.

Cute ski hut like ambience with ok food. The salad choices were slim, the only veggie one with pretzels wasn’t great. Half of it were pretzel slices drenched in dressing that I had to sort out because they didn’t taste good. Schnitzel and french fries were decent, as was the Kaiserschmarrn. No restroom in the restaurant, you need to go outside, down a flight of stairs. It felt a little dark in there and the food was just ok.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Bad Honnef, Löwenburger Hof is a charming historical forest establishment that beckons visitors with its rustic charm and traditional German cuisine. This delightful spot offers an array of German and European specialties, along with a hearty breakfast to kickstart your day. The cozy atmosphere combined with a diverse menu makes dining at Löwenburger Hof a memorable culinary adventure for everyone. Families will find it particularly welcoming, as the stunning views enhance the overall experience.
They saved me when I was threatened by dying of thirst on my way up to the castle, by serving me a delicious and very much appreciated cold beverage. 😉

The restaurant is well located for a quick lunch or a drink when you hike around the Siebengebirge. It's terrace deserves a special mention. It's recommended to sit outside in the summer. The staff is friendly and helpful. The interior is OK but could benefit from a facelift. I can't say anything about the food, since we usually only stop there for drinks. The locally sourced applejuice is a recommendation. The coffee does not live up to urban standards. Would be a solid 3/5 usually. Only 2/5 though, since I fairly dislike the price for the small tea pot. I find 5,60 € for ~350ml of tea too much.
Chris S — Google review
We have been going to the Löwenburger Hof for many years and we like the location and vibe. It is lovely to stopover after a walk through the hills. What has changed are the prices they have shot through the roof. If the quality of the food would have shot with with the prices that would be ok, but they don’t serve 3 star Michelin food. A standard salad for 20€ is eye watering. We paid 25€ for 2x tea and 2x pieces of cake. Ouch. Too much. Next time we will bring or sandwiching and a thermos enjoying the view forma park bench.
Bernhard S — Google review
Its a really lovely place...and family friendly indeed. The views are spectacular. The food and service are generally very good but the service personelle can get quite chaotic when there are too many customers. The walk through the woods to get to the Hof is refreshing and not too long, so this makes it all worth it.
Melvine S — Google review
A little understaffed but very friendly. I only give three stars because the food and drinks are really expensive but the quality is not fitting to such high prices. It does not taste bad, but I expect more if I pay that much. But I guess you can kinda expect high prices in a remote location like this.

Very nice place and good food (big portions) great views. Unfortunately one cannot get by car but it's a nice walk if good weather. Once there, just one km more and you will arrive to Löwenburg with incredible views over the Rhine

Accommodating service, good, but not extraordinary food. Price tag certainly a bit exaggerated for their offering, though you're a bit out of options in the corner

Nestled in Bad Honnef, Haus im Turm offers a captivating dining experience that beautifully blends modernity with historical charm. This former knight's residence has been transformed into a delightful restaurant and winery, featuring an inviting open kitchen and a cozy orangery. Guests can savor seasonal international cuisine crafted from fresh ingredients while enjoying the picturesque surroundings, including a lovely courtyard and winter garden.
We had a dinner there with big group of family.Food was ok. I liked presentation, beautifully executed, nicely decorated. I had Kalbs medallions, meat was too dry. And salty. Mashed avocado in beef Tatar had very strong taste of lemon. Everything else was ok.

When we arrived there, we didn't feel a warm welcome. The restaurant has a simple modern ambiance. It is spacious and neat. The service was just ok - fast. The food presentation was wonderful. However, that day, our spaghetti was a little bit overcooked which was unfortunate.

Incredible place. Laid back and easy going, but food and wine is fantastic quality. You’d be hard pressed to find better food for twice the price. Staff are really friendly and warm, venue is spectacular, but the food is still the highlight

Absolutely fabulous! The amazing amount of staff effort to make our evening wedding celebration dinner in the garden was fantastic and must have taken hours to set up. On a warm summer evening under lanterns hung in the enormous oak tree we had a perfectly organised long table, complete with bilingual special menu all beautifully done. Service was outstanding, attentive yet charmingly relaxed, the cooking superb and the wines perfect. Particularly the creme brulee with the unusual dollop of coconut cream was out of this world. We compared it to "Ein Sommernachtstraum / A Midsummer Night's Dream"! and that is how it felt. Heavenly, and the price was surprisingly low too. All in all, an unforgettable experience.

Great atmosphere. We could even have a drink after closing time. Many thanks

Waiting staff quite inexperienced, sometimes even unfriendly. Wanted to take something home, and asked a waiter if this was OK. He went back to ask and said no problem. Then after taking away the food he said it actually wasn't possible and had already thrown our stuff out. Otherwise food is OK and prices aren't sky-high, plus the grounds are quite nice.

43YUNICO - Japanese Fine Dining

$$$$very expensive
Fine dining restaurant
YUNICO is a Japanese fine dining restaurant located on the top floor of the Kameha Grand Hotel Bonn, offering stunning views of the Rhine. Renowned chef Christian Sturm-Willms curates an exceptional 6-course menu that has earned the restaurant a Michelin star. The interior boasts a new design and a spacious rooftop terrace, providing an exclusive and elegant atmosphere for diners. Guests can also indulge in one of Germany's most extensive selections of Sake.
I am a major fan of Japanese style food. I got the 6 course menu, and the first 'Grüß aus der Küche' transported me to Japan. It was a small piece of tender beef with a radish and sesame. It set the tone. Everything was really good. Two highlights for me: A plate with Mackerel sashimi with caviar and Japanese mustard ice cream. It sounds totally weird and I mostly do not favor caviar. But it was magic. The ingredients in that dish played off each other wonderfully. A main course with a Venison steak, back cut, with a butter nut mouse that tasted like salted caramel and candied hazelnut. Mixing a dab of this with the reduction sauce, and intermingling these with the array of tiny bites of mushrooms, mustard seeds, what I think was a tiny dollop of mash, mini onions and radishes was staggeringly delicious. The price of dinner has been earned by this chef. He spoke with us after dinner. They really change dishes around on a daily basis. He had a chef of the year award already in 2013 and kept his Michelin star 4 years in a row. The tables are spaced very far apart, this is a nice feature. The interior was designed by the Hotel, so I cannot fault them for this. I think areas for improvement would be the servers and their ability to read their guests, or to generally provide service to match the high caliber food. They were all very friendly and engaging, but timing was sometimes a little off and it felt impersonal. A different person would approach the table each time or sometimes a really long pause between meals. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't there for the service. But it seems like a better coordination for the front of the house would be welcome. Two minor points are the reduction on the deer was very salty. I think that is ok or 'good' for someone who had a fair amount of wine, but not for the typical customer. I also did not taste any Yuzu in the oyster sauce or the Yuzu/banana dessert despite anticipating it. I would gladly return.
Nate B — Google review
YUNICO, Bonn » My visit: June 2024 » Total score: 4.6/5 – still very good » Comment: Overall, I would rate the food as good to very good: In my opinion, the dishes were characterized by many different and all very high-quality ingredients. I also found some of the dishes to be elaborately crafted. I would particularly highlight what I thought was the outstanding third intermediate course with red mullet, the excellent pre-dessert and a very nice selection of confiserie. There were, however, some aspects that I didn't like: In my opinion, the team should not take the risk that a guest who may be inexperienced in Japanese cuisine should have to eat their way through what I found to be a soy sauce-dominated mishmash (despite the high-quality, diverse ingredients) during the first intermediate course. I then came across a pungent aromatic outlier. I would suggest that the team cross-checks with each individual guest that they have actually understood the purpose and form of use of said ingredients. I found the lamb in the main course overcooked. Moreover, I would describe this dish as single-sided and unharmonious. 1|111|63 ===== My ratings for this gourmet restaurant in detail: ●● Service – 4.9/5 – outstanding: ● Hospitality, friendliness, obligingness, etc.: 4.9/5 ● Atmosphere, temper, facilitation, etc.: 4.8/5 ●● Food – 4.5/5 – good to very good: ● Flavors (range, depth, composition, harmony/balance, etc.): 4.2/5 ● Level (thoroughness, craftsmanship, originality, exclusivity, variety of impressions, consistency/diversity, etc.): 4.8/5 ● Choices: 5.0/5 ●● Beverages, mainly wine and sake – 4.8/5 – very good: ● Taste (depth/range, length, complexity, balance, accessibility, elegance, intensity/subtlety, etc.): 4.8/5 ● Level (variety/novelty of impressions, consistency/diversity, exclusivity, etc.): 4.8/5 ● Did the beverages match the dishes?: 4.7/5 ● Choices: 4.7/5 ●● Presentation of the food – 4.3/5 – good: ● Textures and (differences in) temperatures: 4.6/5 ● Colors and decorations: 3.8/5 ● Timing and sequencing as well as sizes of portions: 5.0/5 ● Special effects (positionings, DIY-effects, sculptural or thematic elements, surprises, color and motion effects, fake effects, olfactory effects, fog or smoke effects, etc.): 3.4/5 ● Procedures at and around the table (attunements and explanations, elements added/changed, service and staffing intensity, involvement of kitchen team, orchestrated dish presentations, preparations and dishes (partially) built up at the table, etc.): 4.4/5 ●● Presentation of beverages – 4.9/5 – outstanding: ● Procedures at and around the table (explanations and attunements, etc.): 4.9/5 ● Quantities poured as well as timing in relation to the dishes: 4.8/5 ●● Premises and location – 4.5/5 – good to very good: ● Accessibility, surroundings and - as applicable - the view: 4.0/5 ● How did I like the room or - as applicable - outdoor area’s style, decor and atmosphere?: 4.7/5 ● Well-being (space, privacy, temperature, ventilation/odors, lighting, soundscape, sanitary facilities, etc.): 4.7/5 ●● Price – 4.8/5 – very good: ● Price-performance ratio for food: 4.8/5 ● Price-performance ratio for wines and other beverages: 4.6/5 ● Price transparency and correspondence of the expected to the actual price (simple, complete and unambiguous price information on the restaurant's website and in the menu, etc.): 4.9/5

Rightly a Michelin star restaurant! The finest taste experience! It's unbelievable how the different flavors are combined to make great creations! Highly recommended: include the Kobe tasting in your menu. Fantastic! And you will love Omakase! The service is just as great as the cuisine: attentive, friendly, dishes are explained at the table. Incl. welcome by the chef at the table. We've been here several times now as a couple and will be back even more often. Thank you for these great experiences every time!

An experience. The ambience is pleasant, yet the service is warm and not artificial. The food leaves nothing to be desired. A menu is highly recommended to give the chef a free hand. Dietary regulations are easily taken into account. The sommiliere deserves another great mention. She has accompanied all dishes with excellent wines and sakes and explained the background to all of them, which, in addition to the wonderful taste, also gives you a little story. Overall, a wonderful experience that can only be recommended. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

I'm a picky Asian, especially with Asian food in Europe. I'm pretty surprised by what you can get here. -Food: 10/10. We had the 4 courses surprise menu. I absolutely love every single meal we had. Even the drinks, remember to try their sake, so sweet and yum! From starters to main dishes, they have interesting combination of tastes that adds additional layers to the food. They're NOT a wanna be restaurant which put random and unmatched things together. The sashimi was so fresh and the dessert was a bomb - variation of banana combined with tea was just perfect. I especially appreciate the fact that the team brings tea flavored dessert, dorayaki, and wasserkucken (Yokan) to German table. 🙏 -Atmosphere: all in all fine. The distance between tables are big so it provides privacy. It'd have been even better if Japanese music is played. -Service: Attentive and friendly service. As other reviews say, they indeed help you pull out the chair EVERYTIME you come back from the restroom. Little things like this made the experience even better. Thank you! Will definitely be back.

Yuncio was recommended by a local foodie and we were so excited to get a reservation. The service, atmosphere and food were all top tier. I’ve eaten at 2 star Michelin restaurants in NYC and Yunicos food was way better. The flavors, the presentation, the service just blew us away. We were impressed that the chef came out and introduced himself and had a chat as we were leaving. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back next time we are in Bonn.

Winzerhäuschen is located in Kobern-Gondorf, just 300 meters from the River Moselle and 25 km from Koblenz. The property offers a terrace with views of the town, castle, and vineyards. It is also close to the 13th-century castles of Niederburg and Oberburg. The restaurant at Winzerhäuschen offers indoor and outdoor dining options, making it a popular choice for friends and family gatherings.
Located just off Castle Drachenburg, this restaurant offers great food. We ordered 3 dishes which turned out to be great. Really enjoyed the chicken dish. It's always a nice touch that the restaurant gave my two young kids some colouring sets to keep them occupied while we await for our dishes.

Lovely spot for lunch when visiting the castle. Beautiful views. Large amount of outdoor and indoor seating. Food was good. Staff is friendly and quick. Great prices considering it is a touristy area. If you’re considering eating here or at the castle, strongly recommend here. Atmosphere and food is much better at this restaurant!

The restaurant is very nice, very warm and cozy atmosphere with beautiful background music. The food was great, very customer friendly staff. I highly recommend to spend a lunch either with your family or loved one or before going to the Schloss.

Good view over Rhine River for outdoor dining. The waitresses was very patient letting me slowly translate German menu into English one to decide what to ordered. Great experience.

Very nice restaurant with a great terrace which offers a beautiful view. We stoped here for a quick lunch (tomato soup and spinach flammkuchen) before going to the castle, and it was wonderful. The staff was welcoming and the decor is warm and cosy. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommended 👍

Visited on: 28/10/2023 around 16h We found the place by accident by walking around the nice castle. Nice clean restaurant with great views on the rhine. Friendly staff and very good in what they do. Ordered the house burger! Great burger nice and juicy and I have to say a great homemade sauce! Congrats for the chef! Sometimes you don't need to write a big review if the food talks for itself! Keep it going! You deserve it! 5* quality from this reviewer!

We had a great meal here today. It was delicious, good portions and a good price. Thank you to the lovely staff who went above and beyond, helping us as we got a little lost. :) Highly RECOMMENDED

Its a wonderful place, the staff is courteous and food good. What really is nice is that the prices are moderate even though they are at a very touristic place. The Menu is not extensive but whatever is there is done really well. We tried their Flammkuchen which was really well done, Käsespätzle was wonderful, only let down to an extent was Kaiserschmarrn which was a bit too sweet. The cappucino was Italian style ( a samller cup) and strong. Not the typical huge cup with too much milk. Overall based on location, quality of food and staff and the prices its certainly a five star place.

Milchhäuschen Königswinter is a historic restaurant that has been serving hearty home-cooked meals since 1826. A delicious piece of cake and hot coffee were great after hours hiking trip!

Beautiful location and a lovely spot to sit on a sunny afternoon. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by a few details — they had already run out of cake on a Sunday afternoon, and the tea came out only lukewarm from the coffee machine. With such a charming setting, it could have been a delightful stop, but overall it felt a bit underwhelming.

Lovely location, adorable house, very friendly service person. Make sure to bring cash or an EC card, credit cards don't work.

A beautiful location, with trees and nature surrounding the restaurant is absolutely stunning. The service and food were both delightful, with the coffee being some of the best that iv experienced in Germany.

After a tiring hike of bike through the beautiful forest, this place is a welkom stop. Unfortunately the wasps have also found it. We recommend the salad siebengebirchte but not the dish with omas fleish in its name. Try no get rid of the plastic straws please.

Better be sure to carry cash euro's with you. Visitors from abroad can't pay with Maestro because only German bankcards are accepted. So we left.
