Bakery
Nestled in Liverpool, Bonbon Bakery has quickly become a beloved spot for locals. This unique establishment combines a bakery with a Chinese restaurant, offering an array of colorful cakes, buns, and muffins alongside classic Anglo-Chinese dishes. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere add to the appeal. Located on Berry Street, it's the perfect place to indulge in fluffy Chinese baked goods like char sui pork buns and coconut cream treats without committing to a full meal.
The best birthday cakes about. The sponge is so light and is layered with the most silky fresh buttercream using real cream. So many designs available and reasonably priced with one pictured was £45. Which would feed between 14-20! Always look forward to a birthday cake from here. And the savory charsui & Pork buns are next level.

I was drawn to the mini matcha cake displayed at the front and decided to buy it. This shop also sells a variety of other Asian-style breads and cakes. The cake I bought looked beautiful and tempting, and the price was quite reasonable considering its size. It consisted of three layers of soft sponge cake with a decent matcha flavour. However, the cream used was overwhelmingly thick compared to the amount of cake. The addition of sliced strawberries and peach added a refreshing touch. Only accepted cash/transfer bank pay, so couldn't pay by card.

This lovely Hong Kong style bakery is underrated! We bought three Hong Kong style breads- they were all delicious and authentic. The bread was light and fluffy with generous filling. We are from Manchester. We always shop at Wong Wong in Manchester for Hong Kong style bread. And I can say Bon Bon bakery’s bread is a whole level better than Wong Wong’s (and cheaper). Wish they would open a shop in Manchester !

We went for a day trip to Liverpool from Milton Keynes. Last time we went we didn't manage to try the bakery but this time we made sure we didn't miss it. We tried a big selection of their buns from savoury to sweet. Every single one was delicious delicious delicious. We even had the mango pudding, OMG, full of flavour and beautiful silky texture. I can not recommend it enough. Fresh, generously filled, decent prices. I wish we lived closer.

Had been here during my visit to Liverpool. It is a small place run by a sweet Asian lady. Took a variety of buns and oh my god each had a distinct flavour and taste to it. The buns were super soft and super tasty. We finished all up in one single sitting. I wish this place were near my home. It is a must visit if you are in Liverpool, trust me the buns are worth every bit of penny you spend. The only down side is you feel like having more buns after you are finished eating. Give it a try
Satyajit D — Google review
I was introduced to buy cakes here. My friend has bought cakes here many times and said the cakes are very delicious. I messaged them on Instagram and they were very welcoming and helped me choose a very satisfactory cake for my daughter's 1 month old. I will recommend and will come back to support. Thank you very much😍😍😍

Would give 0 star if it was an option. Absolutely atrocious service. Bought few items, was overcharged. When we transferred the CORRECT EXACT amount into their PERSONAL bank account (which was 20p less), the owner became displeased and started removing all the items from the bag and stated ‘you’re not getting the plastic bag’. We didn’t even want the bag to begin with, nor were we asked if we wanted one.

Located just off Hardman Street, The Wild Loaf is a hidden gem of a micro-bakery in Liverpool. With its incredible assortment of sourdough loaves and an array of doughnuts available in various flavors, this little shop has gained quite the reputation in the city. The friendly staff and the delectable treats they offer have generated much hype among locals and visitors alike.
I almost don't want to write this review so this place remains the hidden gem of Liverpool, but it's juts so good not to. The bread was truely amazing and the grilled cheese was out of this world!! Could eat that every day no questions asked. The goodness just keeps getting better as the selection of mouth watering pastries lined up is to much to resist. I would say my favourite being the bear claw, oozing with chocolate. The Pistachio Crossiant was crispy, soft and filled perfectly all at the same time. The pecan cinnamon roll had just the right amount of nuts to cinnamon ratio. I'm telling you the craftsmanship behind these baked goods where exceptional. I honestly hope this place remains doing great bread and pastries as this is just to good not to keep going back
Jordan K — Google review
The Wild Loaf is an absolutely wonderful spot for bakery, bread, and coffee—so much so that I’ve walked over half an hour to visit, not once, but twice! If you’re a sourdough lover, you’ll find plenty of varieties to choose from. Their freshly baked pistachio croissant is my favorite, especially when paired with a smooth flat white. The café itself is cozy and charming, with both indoor and outdoor seating. On a nice day, sitting outside and enjoying the sun is a great experience. However, the indoor space can feel a bit cramped when it’s busy, with people sitting and queuing. But if you enjoy a lively atmosphere, it’s perfect! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Hope you enjoy The Wild Loaf as much as I do!

OMG we are glad we finally tried this bakery! A little gem in Liverpool- fresh pastries and sourdough! Tried their sourdough and it’s so tasty! Great flavour and chew to it! In pastries we tried pistachio croissant ( probably the best we’ve had), the filling tasted like pistachio and not overly sweet like some other bakeries where it’s usually a very sweet pistachio cream with less pistachio flavour. The second was the basque cheesecake - it was like cloud in the mouth really fresh tasty! The last one - was hands down the favourite the rye and dates Brownie - the most moist gooey and chocolatey brownie - probably the best brownie in Liverpool that I’ve tried! There was a nice flavour of a good chocolate / cacao with the most gooey centre and a slight crispy top - amazing textures and flavours! Will definitely go back!
Nimisha A — Google review
Incredibly tasty baked goods. Cheaper than other bakeries in Lark Lane, and it's genuinely tastier. There's both sweet and savoury foods as well as fresh loaves of bread which smell great. Additionally they serve hot drinks, with a small amount of inside seating available. The only thing I'd like to see there is a clear screen in front of the food as a measure of hygiene.
L K — Google review
It’s expensive for a bakery in Liverpool, but the taste is surely the best I’ve ever had there. The croissant was crispy on the outside and rich, buttery, and flavorful on the inside. If you’re thinking of going to Paris for croissants, it’s actually not as expensive as you might think.

Best cinnamon bun in Liverpool - the picture doesn’t do it justice. Loaf of sourdough was lovely too. I’ll be back
Ella S — Google review
Have come here to pick up pastries on behalf of my boss who can’t travel (the bakery is wheelchair accessible with outdoor seating also!) and each time the staff (David I believe?!) has been kind and patient and helpful - thank you! The food is delicious and the coffee is also great, also very appreciative of how large the pastries are. Definitely value for money! Looking forward to coming here again soon.

The Italian Club Bakery, located just off Bold Street in Liverpool, is a traditional Italian-style bakery that offers an array of freshly baked breads, pastries, and celebration cakes. It is part of the renowned Italian Club family known for its commitment to quality across its establishments. The bakery was born out of the owners' desire to cater to their patrons' love for authentic Italian breads and pastries.
Excellent Italian sandwiches, pizzas and baked good. Delicious and generous portions. Warm service and lots of indoor seating. Can tell that everything is freshly made and of good quality.

Lovely little Italian bakery that serves the best foccacias and coffee, aswell as a range of cakes. Service is great too with everything being freshly prepared. Only slight downside is food can be a little oily.
Richard N — Google review
From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed by lovely vibes and soft, pleasant music that set the perfect tone for a relaxing morning. The staff are super friendly, making you feel right at home, and the service is absolutely amazing – attentive without ever being intrusive. The coffee is rich and perfectly brewed, making it the ideal companion to their delicious breakfast offerings. A standout for me was the croissant – truly unique and memorable. A special thanks to the staff for preparing it hot with just cheese; it was absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and soft, buttery inside, with the melted cheese adding the perfect touch. A wonderful spot in Liverpool for a morning treat or a leisurely breakfast – highly recommended!

We visited this place with two people and ordered three dishes, and I must say, each dish was more delicious than the last! The flavors were unique and absolutely amazing. I highly recommend visiting this café/restaurant and trying their food – you won’t be disappointed!

Came in for a late lunch. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious!!! Focaccia bread was yummy, we had one croissant sandwich (croissant is made in house and was yummy). For dessert we shared 3 giant doughnuts, also made in house three different fillings( vanilla, Nutella and pistachio) absolute delight! Finished up with a flat white which was brilliant as well and two white hot chocolates!! Place was very organised. You can tell by the friendly service that they are ready to handle rush hour at any time. Toilets were very clean, kitchen opens up into the dining area and you can see it is very clean and organised. Couldn’t recommend enough!
David M — Google review
A true gem in Liverpool! I recently visited The Italian Club Bakery on Duke Street and was truly impressed. Their almond croissant is simply outstanding – beautifully crisp on the outside, generously filled, and with that perfect balance of sweetness and nutty flavour. One of the best I’ve ever had. But the highlight for me was their traditional Italian bread. This is not just bread – it’s the real deal: rustic, authentic, and with that unmistakable crust and flavour you can only get from a proper Italian bakery. Absolutely sensational. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, service is friendly, and the quality of the products speaks for itself. If you’re in Liverpool and love real bakery craftsmanship, this place is an absolute must. “The Italian staff are truly welcoming and incredibly friendly, which makes the whole experience even more authentic.”
Luiz C — Google review
I had a really delicious focaccia sandwich here! The staff were friendly and welcoming too.
Jiwon K — Google review
Super friendly staff, warming and welcoming. Even when they're busy they'll stop to chat to you. I've copped the sourdough numerous times and it's always delicious. Last time I went in later in the afternoon and there wasn't any bread left, I just asked if they had sold out of sourdough, it wouldn't have been a problem but without saying anything they went into the kitchen and got me a freshly baked loaf. Guarantee proper Scouse hospitality! The iced coffee and cakes knock hard too.

If you're looking for an exquisite cake to wow your guests at a special occasion, look no further than Terry Tang's designer cake shop. His creations are often pictured on national television shows and boast some of the most impressive design features you'll ever see. Be sure to stop by if you're in Liverpool!
My daughter and I visited the shop in Woolton Village after a friends recommendation. We went to find out if it was possible to decorate a cake for my daughters upcoming birthday party. My daughter is a big Taylor Swift fan and we went to chat about her ideas regarding the cake. We spent a lovely 30 mins or so chatting to Carol and Terry in the shop and we received a pickup date. A few days before the pickup I received a phone call from Leanne who was decorating the cake, she was as excited as my daughter as she is also a big Taylor Swift fan. My daughter was over the moon with her cake as were all her party guests as it tasted amazing. Thank you so much Carol, Terry and Leanne it is definitely the first of many visits!!

We have been buying all our birthday cakes from Terry Tangs for a few years now. The staff are always lovely and the cakes are always very well made and delicious.

I bought my daughters 40th birthday cake from here and as always the cake was delicious and every piece was eaten . The design was a model of my daughters puppy and to say it was amazing was an understatement. My daughter was delighted . Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We used Terry Tang for our wedding cupcakes after our previous supplier folded and left us in the lurch. After receiving the cakes we’re now actually glad the previous supplier fell through! The cakes both looked and tasted amazing and were a real hit- we bought a wide selection, and none disappointed. Amazing value for money too. We’ll definitely be back for more in the future, just for us. Thanks Terry Tang! Beth & Dave

On a visit to woolton with my father & husband we found this lovely cake shop. Brought cup cakes for the following day for my daughter’s birthday. Cupcakes were gorgeous. The whole family loved them. Great service & product. Plus a fab chat with the owner. Thanks so much

Ordered a cake for my wife from Terry Tang a month ago and the process was simple and great communication . I provided a picture of what I was after and the finished result exceeded all my expectations . The cake was like a work of art and was a shame to have to cut it . Highly recommended

I wanted a cake for my sister 70th birthday and Terry Tang didn't disappoint. Carol and her daughter were so helpful and kept me updated on the developments of the cake and what would be best if I had to travel a distance with the cake however that wasn't the case. The cake looked and tasted amazing which I knew it would as I have had cakes from them before. Thanks you so much for making my sister birthday such a happy one as she absolutely loved the cake and didn't want to cut it as first. Claire & Kevin

OH ME OH MY is a charming afternoon tea venue located in a former bank building on Water Street, Liverpool. The space exudes shabby chic charm and features polished wooden floors and pendant lights, creating an airy and relaxed atmosphere. This hidden gem offers a delightful classic afternoon tea experience with a selection of savory sandwiches like lemon and thyme roast chicken, ham hock and cheddar croque, as well as sweet treats including honey and blueberry cake.
One of the best afternoon tea experiences that I have had. The music, the vibe, the decor and the food…all spot on! I booked this place for Mother’s Day and both my mother and I had a fabulous time. Highly recommended and the staff are just the best too. Great service and sense of humour.

Absolutely Perfect – Thank You Oh Me Oh My! We had our wedding at Oh Me Oh My and cannot thank Rinah, Lizzie and Jack and the rest of the team enough for making our day so special. From the very beginning, they helped plan and organise every detail, and nothing was ever too much to ask. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. Communication was brilliant. They truly brought our vision to life – everything looked stunning, and the day ran seamlessly thanks to their expertise, even with a large number of guests. The food and drinks were amazing (we had so many compliments from our guests!), and the rooftop bar was a total highlight – a breathtaking spot that really added something special to the day. Everyone had the best time, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We would recommend Oh Me Oh My to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-run venue with a fantastic team behind it. Thank you so much for everything – you made our wedding day unforgettable. Love, Kate and James! Xx

Had a lovely afternoon tea at OhMeOhMy. I felt truly spoilt by the selection they gave us, the food was all stunning, I was well and truly stuffed. The tea selection is gorgeous and I encourage you to treat yourself to a pot to take home. Jason who looked after us was such a great character, full of life and energy, a real asset to the team. Would 100% recommend visiting here, if not, go up to the rooftop bar for a drink and glimpse over one of the best views in Liverpool.

We had our wedding reception at OH ME OH MY, and the day could not have been more perfect. From Day 1, Rinah and the team couldn't do enough for us. Happy to answer every single daft question with a cheerful message. The food tasting was extremly generous and the team were happy to adjust the food to the tastes of our guests. We can't even begin to say how great the cocktails were :). The venue was stunning and matched our aesthetic perfectly and all of our guests raved about the venue. The service from Rinah and Aaron on the day was fantastic once again being incredibly patient with our requests, and our guests loved the food. Thank you for making our big day extra special! We would definitely recommend OH ME OH MY as a venue for a wedding (or indeed any big event). Dan and Lyndsey

We had our wedding there a month ago. What a fabulous venue and an amazing day! Rinah and her team were fantastic. She guided us calmly through the planning process in the months leading up to the big day and was so helpful. . The venue is incredibly beautiful, with the spiral staircase, fairy lights ceiling and the stunning roof terrace views. So many of our guests commented on the service from the waiting and bar staff - a great vibe. I can't recommend Oh Me Oh My strongly enough. We had the very best day, helped along by musician Ogo Nzeador, and our wedding photographer, Ali from Ameer Photography. We have so many wonderful memories. Thank you.

Beautiful setting with stunning views, perfect for afternoon tea. The food was fresh and delicious with a lovely variety of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt really special without being overly formal. A perfect spot in Liverpool for a treat or special occasion! Plus all the different types of teas you can choose from make it so much more worth it!

It's hard for me to put into words how important OH ME OH MY has been to me as a Liverpool wedding photographer who specialises in city wedding photography. If it wasn't for the amazing organisers at OH ME OH MY back in 2014, adding me to their referral list and inviting me to exhibit at their open days, I I don't think I would have booked out my first year of wedding photography. And every year after that I have been back to OH ME OH MY multiple times. I was even the first photographer to shoot couple portraits on the roof terrace before it was even renovated, which felt like such a huge honour! I love the big windows that overlook the Three Graces, the endless choice of locations to take photos of my couples in the streets surrounding the venue, and the amazing food that is served there, but it's the staff who work there that make the biggest difference for me as a wedding supplier. I've always had all of my needs met, whether it's the staff fiddling with the venue lighting to get it "just right" in the evening, to greeting me warmly when I arrive and helping me store my equipment safely, to never forgetting to feed me when I'm hidden away on the mezzanine during the wedding breakfast (oh and always getting a free much needed coffee when I'm flagging). Weddings can be long and tiring days for a photographer, so all of these things make such a big difference to how I do my job. I always always ALWAYS look forward to shooting at OH ME OH MY.

Cuthbert's Bakehouse is a welcoming tea shop with tile floors and soft furnishings, perfect for afternoon tea. Delicious cakes and light lunches are available at the cafe, as well as Brunch 'Afternoon Tea'.
Lovely afternoon tea "New York" style. Had the most tasty mini beef burger and hot, crispy chips as well as a good selection of sandwiches. Plentiful great selection of cakes (so many we ended up asking for a box to bring some home) and the obligatory scones, jam and cream plus unlimited tea or coffee.

We had my baby shower here in August and it was perfect. The booking process was relaxed, the afternoon tea arrangements were impressive and the food delicious. Thank you to all the staff who made my day special! My family and friends enjoyed themselves immensely. Apologises for the late review as it’s been almost 2 months, I’m going to blame my baby brain.

I love English high tea without the tea. This tea was worth it and we had the option of drinking coffee with the tea service. There were many options from savory to sweet. The best part for me was the scones that were served with clotted cream and pink gin jam. The only sad part of this experience is that we cannot find the pink gin jam that we now love in Spain (where we live).

Found this lovely gem on my trip to Liverpool. The tea was the best I had on my trip to the U.K. It was so good we went there twice. The grilled Haloumi salad was amazing! The scones were served warm with jam and cream. The white chocolate raspberry scone was delicious!

We went there this morning. We ordered 1 scambled eggs on brown toast, 1 avocado on toast… both food arrived without toasted bread, but just bread from the bag, which made my enthusiasm going down, cause I could have eat cold bread at home! Plus we ordered eggs Benedict, which supposed to be with ham, but they didn’t bring us the ham, only when my friend almost finished to eat, after we requested, they brought it! It’s not the first time we go there because my wife likes the place, but also last time, we requested extra cooked eggs cause she was pregnant, and it was everything but extra cooked!!!! Very disappointed

Caz's Kitchen is a small independent bakery that specializes in vegan and gluten free cakes. The bakery has a secret garden that is perfect for pooches during the summertime. The selection of cakes at Caz's Kitchen was fantastic, and the cafe was very Friendly and Knowledgeable.
After many visits I thought it was about time I left a review about this fantastic place, to put it simply the treats from here taste absolutely fabulous. Whether you are a vegan or more specifically have celiac therefore need gluten free options. You’re not going to find a place with a tastier and more fairly priced variety of goods, that taste no different to items containing products you cant have. Not to mention how the bakes here tend to taste extremely fresh and seem to use a perfect balance of greatly sourced ingredients to avoid being alike supermarket cakes which contain excessive amounts of sugar, are badly baked and have harmful preservatives in them. My visit this time I treated me and a family member too the carrot cake“sandwich”, Nutella party cake, sticky toffee apple cake, chocolate gingerbread cake(GF), caramel cheesecake(GF) and the Black Forest brownie. Everything you could possibly want or expect from these products was met perfectly such as the texture, freshness, taste. So good in fact a usual favourite bake from there the carrot cake was already fully and happily eaten by myself before I could take the pictures. You always get an incredibly friendly vibe from the staff and atmosphere here and you always feel like you’re welcomed and can be helped by knowledgeable bakers with whatever you’re looking for. In conclusion whether you just want a slice of anything you can probably think of, or want to go all the way with a bake that could feed a party of people. There is simply nowhere else in the area that competes with Caz’s for me on all these fronts which for an independent business is absolutely amazing.

A fantastic selection of home made cakes. The two I tried were 10 out of 10. They were both sugar free but sweetened with fruit. I will definitely come back again and try the rest of the selection. Kaz is lovely, knowledgeable and helpful as well. A superb independent cafe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went here today for the first time. I thought I could have sat in with a cuppa and a cake but realised there’s no seats so got a few to take out. Oh my god! The most yummy and fresh cakes here! Got a selection of carrot cake, custard cake and Victoria sponge. All of them were faultless. I can’t wait to go back. Lovely customer service too!

Customers rave about their experiences with Antonia's Cakes; from personalized designs to exceptional service, every detail is meticulously handled.
We were really impressed with the quality of the baking, the presentation and the customer service at Antonia's Cakes. When we were looking for someone to make our wedding cake, we contacted severaI local companies, but Antonia's Cakes were so professional from the start. We ordered samples to try, and the presentation as well as the flavour was so fantastic, we knew we'd found the right people to trust with our wedding cake. They are really experienced with what they do. They designed and prepared a beautiful cake for us, and delivered it to the venue on time and without fuss. They also provided a beautiful birthday cake for us to present to one of our wedding guests. The guests loved it, and we are still eating the final tier of vanilla buttercream now. Antonia's Cakes were a dream to work with - would highly recommend.

One of the nicest cakes I've had in a long time. Looks so pretty. Texture was moist. I thought I would be stuck ordering last minute, but was able to collect the very next day. My mum loved it. Thank you so much 💓

Wasn’t sure on what design I wanted but had ideas. Antonia’s were able to quickly show me designs to help, but nothing prepared me for how amazing the cake would turn out. Looked incredible tasted incredible service incredible will definitely be using again

I recently ordered 2 "cake and cupcake combos" - one for my son's 10th birthday (Nerf design) and the other for my niece's 18th birthday (gorgeously gothic design). I couldn't have been more pleased with the service from Lauren, her commitment, creativity and attention to detail are second to none. Ordering is super easy - with the gothic cake Lauren came up with a few ideas and I wasn't disappointed with the end result - neither was my niece, she absolutely loved it and was really made up. My son was super excited about the Nerf cake too. Both cakes and cupcakes were deliciously moist, beautifully flavoured vanilla sponges and choc/vanilla marbled with silky smooth buttercream, the macarons on the 18th cake added a lovely finishing touch. Both the cakes and cupcakes were impeccably finished and so professional, I cannot recommend Antonia's cakes highly enough, just writing this review makes me want to order more (which I will 😋). It has been a really weird time during the pandemic lockdown but I think Lauren has gone above and beyond to help all her customers stay safe and best of all scoff delicious cake! Thank you Lauren, we'll be back! 😎😋😊

The food is really good but there is one slight issue… the workers are rude especially the old lady she is insanely rude and mean to me. Edit: Just came back to the bakery the two men were very nice and respectful because I have a brace and can’t talk properly

Modern British restaurant
East Avenue Bakehouse is a charming American-style bakery and restaurant located in the heart of the city. The place offers a diverse British menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with an impressive selection of beers and wines. The interior is adorned with quirky vintage decor, creating an inviting atmosphere. Known for its high-quality local produce, this bakehouse serves up a generous variety of breakfast dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds.
I popped in feeling rather flustered as I'm so used to having to dash about. I ordered a granola pot and a flat white. The staff are friendly and it came across as a well-run place. The customers were a mix of ages and backgrounds, and it is obviously a popular place. The granola was pefect. A good amount of cinnamon and nicely balanced sweetness. Plus the coffee was great, so I ended up staying for a cappuccino. I normally have a sugar in my coffee, but ended up not having any in my cappuccino as the coffee was vibrant and well-rounded with less of the bitter taste you can get with some coffees. I'll definitely seek it out the next time I'm in Liverpool.
Roisin G — Google review
Good selection on the menu, very friendly staff and fast service. Visited for breakfast and can't fault the food. Fantastic range of breads that I'd happily recommend. They accept Colu too for those of you who use the local Liverpool pound however the independent Liverpool card is no longer accepted.

This place would not be recommended for traveler who visits this neighborhood for the first time and who is looking forward to have some special meal. Generally, the food was good but the bread they served was a little burned. We were not so welcomed by staffs during the meal.

Lovely brunch. Unbelievably good home made baking. I had poached eggs with salmon on English muffin (to die for!). I also bought some of their home made bread after tasting their sourdough. It's very good. The staff and owners are really friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. I recommend booking to avoid disappointment as the place fills up quite quickly. Must be back next time I am in Liverpool

Whether you need a cake for your holiday party or just want something special for your loved ones, Create A Cake has the perfect cake for you! They are always number one when it comes to customer care, and never fail to impress.
I have been visiting Creat a Cake for the past few years and I was and still am to this day absolutely blown away! From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly baked cakes filled the air, creating an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The display case was a feast for the eyes—beautifully crafted cake and cupcakes that looked almost too good to eat. I have ordered loads of cakes from personlised to tray bakes and cupcakes and they are hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The texture was perfectly moist, the flavors were well-balanced, and the frosting was light yet decadent. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put so much love into their creations. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making great recommendations and ensuring everything was perfect. Whether you’re looking for a custom cake for a special occasion or just a sweet treat to brighten your day, Creat A Cake is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!

We are so lucky to have this shop and talented team on our doorstep! After recently ordering our wedding cake from Create a Cake we were so blown away with how incredible it was that we then gave the team free rein to come up with something for our daughter’s first birthday. As always the Create a Cake team pulled out all the stops and exceeded our expectations. All of our friends and family commented on how impressive the cake was and it tasted amazing too! Would 100% recommend. Thanks again.

Bakery
A bakery situated on Allerton Road that is known for its pies and pastries. The bakery offers traditional pork pies, veggie lattices, chicken and ham pies as well as deliciously flaky sausage rolls at reasonable prices.
The bread here I lovely. But, I you want your guaranteed selection, it's best to call and reserve a loaf as they sell quite quickly. The cakes are something else too although I've tried not yo be tempted. Was a bit naughty and bought a chocolate brownie on my last visit.
Abdul I — Google review
Visited on several occasions to get takeaway whilst on my lunch, found the staff are constantly miserable and the menu is disappointing for vegetarians and vegans even though they state on TripAdvisor they are veggie friendly. On the rare occasion they have veggie sausage rolls they are nice. The soups are gorgeous however it's frustrating to queue up only to find once you're at the front that they don't have any. The board states they have jacket potatoes however upon enquiry they don't do them anymore. On my previous visit last week I left the shop empty handed and went to Sayers a few doors down as they had absolutely nothing to offer me as a vegetarian.
Kerri P — Google review
High quality bread, pies and cakes in the shop and served in the coffee shop. Had Ray's goodies at our wedding anniversary party in April - the food went down a storm! The negative here is that the coffee shop is so popular you might have to wait a while as all the food and drinks are freshly prepared as you place your order. Not such a bad thing really?
Joyce P — Google review
Just bought 2 birthday cakes from this shop absolutely gorgeous will definitely be ordering again can't recommend highly enough. My friends were delighted. Thank you Ray's.
Maureen J — Google review
Being a typical man I left getting a cake for my daughters birthday until the last minute. I contacted Ray's Bakery who while normally needing 2 weeks notice, agreed to make the cake I needed within a week. I picked it up today and the quality and design of the cake are brilliant. I even picked up a steak and kidney pie whilst I was there, as the smell made them too tempting to turn down. Would recommend Ray's bakery to anyone and will deffo be back again in the future. Thank you!
Terry L — Google review
We have just been to Ray’s Coffee Shop in Prescot and had one of the worst experiences we have ever had eating out at. We were on our way to a meeting, and hoped to be able to drop in for a quick lunch, and arrived at 12:45. The waitress took our order for a cheese toastie and a toasted teacake, and advised us that there might be a delay as there was a problem in the kitchen. However, after half an hour we had still not been served. She said that there was one more table to be served before us. As time was pressing, we told her to cancel our order as we did not have time to wait. We noticed that a number of people who came in after us had already been served, and they seemed to be people known to the staff. It was obvious that we had been sidelined, and that they preferred to serve regular customers in advance of casual diners like us. We paid for our pot of tea and left. We went to Ray’s bakery next door, hoping to find a snack to take away, but there was little vegetarian on offer. In the end we settled for a rather uninspiring cheese bap and a cold potato cake. Ray’s has built up a good reputation since Marion Ray started the business in 1924. She must be turning in her grave if she can see it now. Prescot is very short of day-time eateries, and Ray’s is exploiting its monopoly in that part of town by offering a substandard service. If you wish to avoid having an experience like ours, avoid Ray’s like the plague.
David F — Google review
Came down to enjoy afternoon tea and got scones which were overcooked and cakes that was suppose to be speciality cakes and we were given millionaire shortbread and sandwich cake sliced when I spoke to the Manager she said these were the speciality cakes and if you don't like it then go elsewhere this is how customers who paid £22.50 spoken to. We are regulars in both shops and I am discussed in her manner.

Love the firecracker chicken sandwich here, either on a soft savoury focaccia or herby ciabatta. Also enjoyed the meat and potato pie here, especially the short crust. Great to be able to get some freshly made sandwiches to go. Much better deal than a Tesco sandwich!

This place looks so good but I can’t have much from there as there is hardly any veggie options. Wouldn’t be hard to get some Linda McCartney sausages/ vegetables to put on the yorkie pudding wraps. You would kill it in sales having better veggie options !! Alls we want is Linda McCartney sausages, peas, carrots, stuffing, cranberry, gravy, jobs a gooden!

Just paid £6.80 for a carvery foccaia with no carvery on it! Young girl, short hair & tattoo's made it... foccaia not even cut open properly and barely two thin slithers of turkey. Drove home to eat it for lunch; really disappointing & awful value for money.

I've just visited Chatwins for the first time. The choice of cooked food, breakfast plus sausage, bacon, turkey baps are amongst a few of their delicious, tasty offerings. I was spoilt for choice, so opted for a tasty sausage bap... The sausage was tasty & moist, with a nice crisp skin & coffee was included in this offer too. I bought some cakes Eccles cakes & a large custard tart, which I loved. Looks like you've gained another regular customer & I will be telling friends. Lady that served me Kath was lovely, so all in all a great experience & definitely great food.

My review is a little late, but I bought some croissants and an assortment of brownies and blondies back in May. Not only were they beautifully presented, but they were all delicious! I have never been so shocked in my whole life at how rude the lady was that I spoke to over a Facebook message to the shops Facebook account. To begin with she was available and willing to help. But suddenly changed to.. “as I said before” at the start of her messages in a very short and snappy manner to then finally telling me she’s fully booked anyway! Wasting my whole day talking to her when I could have been shopping elsewhere if I’d have known she was fully booked.baring in mind I told her the date I needed the cake for in the very first message. Customer service was shocking! Time waster.

Absolutely excellent from start to finish - thank you Lizzie! Looking back, we were so happy to have come across Elizabeth Harris Cakes. Our wedding cake looked stunning and was incredibly delicious. We loved all of the different elements of the cake. The bright pops of peach in the handmade sugar flowers matched our colour scheme perfectly. Lizzie had liaised with the venue and our venue dresser. We loved the wide range of flowers, which were detailed and clearly made with a high level of skill. The silk ribbon, crystal glass cake stand and separator were lovely aspects of the design as well. Lizzie was very friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Simply outstanding overall. Best, Linda and Colin

From the moment I contacted her all the way up until the end she was fantastic and I could not have happier with the end result. I would highly recommend Elizabeth Harris cakes for anyone looking for that showstopper cake at their wedding! Thank you again Lizzie!
Krish P — Google review
Lizzie was amazing, we had our tasting and the flavours were all delicious and there was plenty to choose from. Once we'd talked through flavours we talked designs and what we were after. We received a beautiful graphic with our quote on what the cake would look like and it was exactly what was delivered on the day. She worked with our florist to ensure the sugar florals she created matched our bouquets etc. Everyone on the day commented on how beautiful and tasty the cake was. Which is exactly what I wanted! She's been amazingly helpful and professional throughout. I could not recommend her enough for any couples looking into their wedding cake. Book now!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your beautiful wedding cake on Saturday. The design was perfect and so classic. The cake tasted amazing and there were so many compliments. We were lucky the venue left us some cake to take home so we could enjoy it whilst going through the day. I couldn’t recommend Lizzie enough for all her help before our wedding and for the cake itself.

We were not disappointed, as the cake was beautiful and tasted out of this world! He also made some vegan cupcakes for 2 vegans in the family, they were also delicious. I would definitely recommend Naked Cake and will be back next time we need a special cake. Top Marks 👌

Just amazing! I have been buying my kids birthday cakes here for the last seven years (I have three kids do that's a lot of cake) and I can honestly say they are always fantastic. No matter what crazy ideas I go in with Pat always works his magic and comes up with another wonderful creation. They are always the talk of the party with everyone wanting to know where we bought them. Not only do the cakes look amazing, they taste fantastic too, definitely not one that goes straight from the party bag to the bin! In summary, brilliant, don't hesitate to get your cake here.

To say I'm Addicted to cakes and cookies from Sweet Palette is an understatement. Sweet Palette is ALWAYS my place to go if I want something for my birthday, my friend's birthday, or simply if I crave for something sweet, or if I want to surprise of my friends. Marina's passion for baking could be "seen" in her products. Last year for my 40th birthday, I ordered a vegan cake, and what she baked for me was beyond my imagination. This vegan red velvet cake was soooooooooo goooooood. She can also make for you those little personalised cookies or cupcakes, or lollipops. 💓 Marina's cakes are full of flavours, moist, fresh, absolutely delicious and made of the high quality ingredients ❤️ I love sweets and chocolate, and I fell in love with Marina's cakes from the moment I've ordered my first cake from Sweet Palette I have tried it 💖 Absolutely heaven on earth❤️ P. We had a lovely afternoon tea with my mom! Highly recommend it was really yummy! They also had a kids afternoon tea our little was too little for it so he just had some sandwiches and he throughly enjoyed himself! Our server Rachel was just lovely and very helpful even packed up the cakes we could not finish! The food was all very fresh and the loose leaf tea was so lovely I had way too much! Give them a call and book as they get busy very quickly and you can see why! Excellent atmosphere with yummy food!

We saw afternoon tea advertised by them on the seafront while we were on a family day out. My children had never had an afternoon tea before so I thought it would be a nice new experience. We weren't disappointed. When we arrived at the tearoom they were unfortunately full with more bookings to come but the lady serving at the time (sorry I didn't get your name :() took my phone number and said they would try and squeeze us in. Half an hour later I got a call to say they had managed to free us a table! Amazing! We all ordered afternoon tea and it was delicious. The tea was loose leaf and refillable. The food was fresh and tasty. You received a choice of sandwiches and there was a good selection. The cakes were obviously fresh and homemade. They offer a children's afternoon tea too which many places don't. My kids loved it. They had sandwiches and cakes but also little sweets too. It was great value too considering what you can pay for afternoon tea, less than £40 for a family of 4. Would love to go back. Would recommend to book ahead though as it is obviously a popular place to go.

I just had a fantastic night out! Kirri was absolutely incredible and really made the experience special with her attentiveness. Albert's Schloss - A Game Changer! Normally when I’m on a city break, I try to find traditional, local places to eat—somewhere the locals go. I’m not usually into themed restaurants, especially the American-style ones. But while looking for places to eat in Liverpool on Google, I came across Albert’s Schloss... and I didn’t bother checking the next options. It really grabbed my attention. We originally booked for a Saturday sitting on 4th Oct, but Storm Amy got in the way, so we had to cancel. Still, I couldn’t get this place out of my mind, so we decided to give the Sunday lunch menu a go. We arrived without a booking, but the friendly staff found us a table with no fuss. We ordered the Schweinshaxe (roasted pork knuckle) and the half roast chicken dinner. The portion sizes? Generous is an understatement! Both meals were hearty and absolutely delicious. The Schweinshaxe went down perfectly with a delicious German beer, and the roast chicken was paired with a Spritz. As someone who usually avoids themed bars and restaurants, Albert’s Schloss has changed my mind. Our waitress was fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable, and chatty without being intrusive. The staff, the food, the drinks, the place itself, everything was brilliant. And the entertainment? The DJ couldn’t have been born before 2000 but clearly had an 80s heart. His set was spot on. This was my first visit to Liverpool in 15 years and my first to Albert’s Schloss, but it definitely won’t be the last. Food and hospitality at its very best.
RTM — Google review
Me and my husband have been in Albert Schloss a few times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the selection of drinks there. As we had never tried the food outside of the fresh baked pretzels you can order as a bar snack (which are delicious btw) we decided to come here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. Straight away we were made to feel welcome. We were given a happy anniversary postcard in an envelope containing two free drinks vouchers! Certainly wasn't expecting that and that wasn't even the only freebie we received that evening. After we had our dinner (which was perfectly cooked btw) we were given a plate with some warm brownies and cream and a couple of free schnapps shots. We were looked after the entire time by the amazing staff and it certainly rounded off what was a perfect day for me and my husband. Thank you so much. 🙂
Bex E — Google review
Food was great. Decor and atmosphere lovely, done a nice job for that ski resort / beer garden vibe. Live music at dinner that night was an added bonus. 1 star off for an indifferent response from a female member of staff regarding my enquiries about seating options (I have a bad lower back problem) who promptly seated us at the worse table in the house. When I asked to move she was bordering on rude. Maybe she was having a bad day but if that's the general attitude maybe a different choice of job!? Thankfully we moved to a table where we were served by a really nice chap. Good save as frankly I was ready to walk out. The pork knuckle was good value. Wurst plate nice but a bit pricey. Great choice of drinks and beers.
Linda H — Google review
Amazing place! Very atmospheric, really cool and fun. Great value for money, live music, and perfect for spending an evening out. You can even take photos, print them, or send yourself videos of the experience – a really memorable time!

Went here for work Christmas meal. The venue has high ceilings and beautiful interior, sophisticated, classy yet strangely cosy at the same time. Apparently they play alot of live events and have a lot of entertainment to offer. The food was amazing, drinks were well presented and the staff are extremely well trained and friendly. The toilets have a lot of character and themed and there is wheelchair access with lifts.
Angela # — Google review
The bread served with the houmous wasn't enough for sharing. We ordered 3 chicken schnitzel based dishes and unfortunately it was quite dry. What was even more a shame was finding a hair embedded in the batter of the schnitzel (see picture), however lovely waitress was very apologetic. It was eventually removed from the bill. The pretzel and chocolate sauce was amazing!! Highlight of the restaurant was the toilet disco in the ladies!!
Aditee S — Google review
Absolutely excellent bar/restaurant. Excellent food. The Schweinshaxe was amazing and very filling. There was lots of meat on it. 100% Excellent service from table host/server (Kerri). An absolute credit to the restaurant. This was my first time at Albert's Schloss, and I was very impressed with it. The venue is also stunning with a great atmosphere with live music. Cannot fault it at all. 10/10 across the board.. Thank you for a great experience.

Liverpools #1 bakery. The best freshly baked blueberry cream cheese croissant ever. Also very famous for their hot chocolate. Various options of other sweet and savory baked goods. The bakery’s got a wonderful view of Royal Albert docks. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely excellent! The croissants here are as good as you'll ever get. The coffee was excellent too! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again 👍😁 Should add - I'd already eaten half the Croissant when I took the picture... Couldn't wait! 🤣 If I had to really nitpick. It was a bit mental in there with people and not many places to sit. But what do you expect, it's a small place selling top tier snacks. It's going to be busy! 👍
Dan F — Google review
The pastries were good value for money but what they called croissants was pretty far from Belgian/French croissants. They almost lacked butter and the texture was not as layered. It was still tasty but the main trait resembling croissants was the shape. They ran out of all the savoury options 1h before closure. Maybe I could be back to try something savoury but unlikely with the sweet options
Alexey S — Google review
We had heard about this place previous and decided to see what the hype was about......we were NOT disappointed!!! The pastries are unreal. Real decent price for something thats made so fresh, plus they're absolutely huge! The taste was incredible. I have never had a pastry like that before. Will most definitely be visiting again. It was fantastic.
Danny K — Google review
Unbelievable pastries. Its that simple. I think these are probably the best pastries I have ever tried. And its a super fun way to try different things. The place doesn't have a menu as such and the items are all fresh and made infront of you. Whatever they are selling that day is what you can choose which means you might have to try something a bit different but everything is amazing. If you're in the are go down. Yes its a bit more expensive than other places but so worth it.

Pretty Sweet Vegan is a charming vegan cafe located in Woolton, offering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all diners. The family-run establishment prides itself on its incredible food, with generous portions and an array of delectable sweet treats such as cookie dough and salted caramel cakes. Visitors praise the high quality of the food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff. Additionally, the cafe offers a variety of products for purchase and has become a popular spot in Liverpool for both locals and visitors alike.
Visited the old hardware shop yesterday for lunch and WOW was I impressed. I'm vegetarian and have had some disastrous meals at vegan restaurants due to poor quality meat substitutes and soya based products which I hate the taste of. The quality of this food was absolutely fantastic, and at a very reasonable price for Woolton village. The staff member who served us was lovely and the overall cleanliness of the place was spot on. Loved the counter with the extra products available to buy. My only suggestion is maybe fries with the meals instead of crisps would be nicer ☺

Visited The Old Hardware Shop today and it was such a lovely experience. The cafe itself had a nice relaxed vibe and we were lucky to get a seat. The food was very tasty and was served in generous portions. I would especially recommend the cakes they have (we had a cheesecake) and the hot lotus drink. As someone with dietary requirements it was so nice to be able to order anything I wanted from the menu. Would definitely come again!

Tiny place with a cozy atmosphere and great, colorful design offers a great variety of fully-vegan cuisine. I recommend to try the "cheeseburger", it was remarkable! Hummus was tasty, but, I think, you should take something less common in such place. Take into account, cash only!

Love it here my favourite vegan cafe in liverpool, fab menu with lots to choose from, cakes are amazing and they now sell the mix to take home and bake your own. Lots of sweets and goodies. It's become quite popular with most seats reserved for the afternoon, we go early with no probs, there's a small seating area upstairs also. 100%

Amazing, family run cafe in the heart of Woolton. It’s all vegan - but don’t let that put you off if you’re not, it’s not preachy, it’s welcoming and the food is incredible whatever your dietary preferences. The staff are very accommodating and friendly and the cakes! The cakes are incredible. Wouldn’t be able to tell they were vegan. With flavours like cookie dough, salted caramel and plenty others, they’re the best. Usually have to get it to take away because the portions are very generous. I’d one hundred percent recommend the ‘ Big Breakfast ‘ but anything on the menu is yummy!

Amazing food, drinks, staff and dog friendly too. Pom Bears as a side? Yeah, that's definitely 5 stars all the way.

Community SOUL in Wallasey Village is a charming cafe that prides itself on being pet-friendly, making it the perfect spot for quality time with family and furry companions. The homemade cakes are a real treat, and the reasonable prices make it even better. Whether you're people-watching by the window or meeting colleagues, this community coffee shop offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors rave about the fantastic food and drinks, especially the homemade scones which are highly recommended.
Cosy warm friendly welcome, popular with locals. Staffed by volunteers. Cakes are really yummy and are home made, and the prices are very reasonable. It is possible to go in by yourself, sit by the window and people watch.

I've been their customer since the the day they opened this place. It was always nice welcome, friendly people and lovely coffee. I moved to another area but I still pop in and chat with the old and new staff. My new dentist just around the corner so I have an excuse 😀

The food and drink here are absolutely fantastic, ran by amazing people and it's always a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The homemade scones are the best on the Wirral without a doubt and are a must for anyone visiting !

What a delightful little gem in Wallasey Village. A lovely homely vibe with kind, friendly staff! Hot chocolate is fantastic and I really enjoyed my toasty. Will most definitely be returning

I've been here several times to meet with colleagues. I wish it opened earlier although they have let us in so we can have our meeting before the 11.00 a.m. opening. Today we joined in the two minute silence in remembrance. It's a great community coffee shop run by volunteers that serves great coffee and today we had warmed mince pies. Both were really good and good value for money. Lovely people run the place. I highly recommend Community SOUL if you are in Wallasey Village.

A great independent community coffee shop run by volunteers. Coffee is always first class. Light snacks, soup and cakes are available and they have gluten free options as well. Well worth a visit.

Nestled within the Port of Liverpool building, Mrs Danvers Bakery draws inspiration from Daphne du Maurier's novel Rebecca. The cafe offers a diverse menu featuring homemade quiche, pancakes, and customized afternoon tea. Although temporarily closed due to COVID-19, visitors have praised its generous portions for afternoon tea and the delightful selection of savories, sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The 1930s tearoom exudes charm in a stunning location on the Pier Head.
A lovely Mothers Day surprise was delivered yesterday - a special Afternoon tea for two. The selection of savouries, sandwiches , scones and cake was delightful and very much appreciated. We thank you for your excellence and wish you all the best for the future and the continuation of your business. We certainly hope to find you out and visit the cafe once the present troubles are past. Finally we add thanks to our Son-in-law, Chef Paul Askew of The Art School Restaurant who arranged the surprise Tea, but who had sadly had to close his own restaurant where we were due to celebrate Mothers Day.

Ordered afternoon tea delivery for a group of 13 for a hen do. The teas were beautifully presented and all tasted great. Was also able to cater for coeliac which was great and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend and will use again when next in Liverpool!

I went with a group of 10 for afternoon tea for a birthday and engagement celebration. It was so easy to organise and Maria was extremely helpful and accommodating - even opening especially for us! The afternoon tea was lovely with a great selection of sandwiches, savouries, scones and cakes. The building they are in is amazing and they even got me a bouquet as a gift. I can't recommend Mrs Danvers enough. A hidden gem in a wonderful location! Thank you.

Fantastic delivery of afternoon tea on easter sunday cannot fault service and communication second to none and the sandwiches and savoury selection was fabulous the cakes on the other hand probably the best part of many an afternoon tea were beautiful. All in all fantastic value for money and a lovely treat on easter sunday. ❤❤

Had afternoon tea delivered 30th June for my birthday. The man who delivered the food wished me a happy birthday, which was a very nice touch. The food was excellent and plenty of it, sandwiches, pie, quiche, and plenty of cake.would definitely order again.

Extremely disappointing. Not suitable for tourists looking for a warm welcome. The two uncouth scouse ladies were trying to close down 45 minutes before shutting time (which already an hour before advertised!) Acted stupid and like everything was an effort. Talking about customers loudly, texting on their phones, chatting to others from the building. Everything except actually serve. Food was average but pricey. Such a disappointment inside a breathtaking landmark. Would recommend shutting and putting in something better like a Costa.

Well worth a visit! A short walk from the city centre and between Pier Head and Albert Docks is a Treasure of a cafe. It's at the corner of a beautiful old, now office block just down from James Street, which must have been a shipping building at one time (splendid inside). I'm on the way to the Isle of Man boat and have just finished the most delicious cooked (their small) breakfast of bacon, sausage, mushroom, egg and beans with a thick slice of brown toast and lovely (generous) pot of tea. There are lots of other choices for breakfast and simple choices for later in the day. The take away service is also very good value. The two ladies running it are really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I've been before and will come again for sure!
Sally F — Google review
I am writing to share my disappointment with the services I was provided by Mrs Danvers Café and the disgust in the way in which I was treated by the owner. I contacted the Café 26th June to find out some information about booking a delivery for the 1st July. I was hoping to order six boxes of afternoon teas to provide children a special treat as part of a small birthday celebration for my little girl conducted in line with latest PHE and government advice. We have visited the café before, and the afternoon teas from Mrs Danvers Café were the birthday girls’ idea. I was originally intending to shop around despite this as delivery time was the key decision maker for me with the party taking place 1pm – 3pm. I was assured that “oh don’t worry – delivery is always out by 1”. Satisfied I made the booking and paid for the services. On the day, the children had all arrived by 1pm and I rang the café just to check in on when we could expect delivery so I could manage expectations. Hungry little girls like to know when they will be fed and knowing when their special treat was coming, I did not want to spring into action to try to put something together. I got through to a lady at the café who told me that the driver would be with me at “1.44”. I remember this very clearly as it seemed an oddly specific number! I presumed taken from a sat nav device perhaps so felt assured. Time went after 2pm I attempted to call the shop again to find it was closed. I felt a little in the lurch at this point – a party of children expecting food and me having no idea when or if it would arrive. At 2.30pm the delivery driver made contact to explain he was on the Wirral and now on his way. The food arrived just after 3 when the party had already finished. In one sense this was a blessing as when the food finally did arrive, I would have frankly felt embarrassed passing out it. It was soggy, battered and not to a standard anybody would realistically expect. This was money down the drain for a shoddy service, broken promises, and soggy cakes. Nobody wants that! Embarrassed and frustrated I called the café and left a voicemail expressing my disappointment. I cooled down and reached out to Mrs Danvers over the following two days multiple times to try to speak to management. When I did finally speak to the manager, I was met with an incredibly harsh and hostile tone: “What’s your problem?”. As a customer I don’t appreciate being spoken to like this at all – but you don’t know what has happened in a person’s day so I gave the benefit of the doubt and explained what had happened and that I would appreciate a refund. I was shouted at aggressively and told that I was a liar. That no member of staff would tell me that the delivery is always out by 1pm and that when I spoke to somebody, they did not tell me it would be delivered at 1.44pm. I was called “one of those scam artists” and a “bully”. Unfortunately, not. I was your customer and you let down my daughter and her friends on the first time they had been able to come together since lockdown begun. Based on my experience neither I nor a very upset daughter would recommend Mrs Danvers Café.

The passionate team takes pride in meticulously crafting each dish and brew, aiming for perfection with every bite and sip. Visitors praise the friendly staff, delicious pancakes, top-notch coffee, and cozy atmosphere. Despite some wait times for food, guests appreciate the rich and naturally sweet lattes as well as the strong and fruity cortados.
I actually LOVE this place! Always fresh food, lovely drinks and the staff are great too. Always made to feel welcome by the gent who always seems to be in there, really friendly. After having my initial breakfast in here with my partner one weekend, I now regularly visit to have work meetings for both breakfast and coffee. Only had THE BREKKIE BURGER & Hardy’s hash browns myself although I have tried the YOGHURT + CRUNCHOLA what my partner had and it was really tasty. Great place, good vibes!

Loved the food here – everything was fresh, delicious, and the menu had some really unique choices. The only downside was that drinks were served in plastic cups, even for dine-in, which felt a bit out of place given how good everything else was. It would be great to see them switch to reusable cups for a more sustainable and elevated experience.

Really nice independent cafe. I arrived in Liverpool straight off an overnight coach, not knowing anything about the place, and wanted breakfast in an independent cafe rather than something bog-standard & boring. This cafe certainly didn't disappoint! The breakfast (Hardy's Toolbox) was satisfying and filling after a long journey. All items in the breakfast were delicious and cooked/ presented in a way I haven't seen in the usual cafes. Service was lightning fast, probably due to it being about 7:45 on a Saturday. It was a bit pricey, and beans were extra (I didn't buy them). I didn't think it was bad value for money though, as the breakfast was fantastic, the service great, wifi fast, the whole place spotlessly clean, and I prefer to support independent business. The decor was good as well, keeping to theme, and not distracting. If I'm ever up this way again I'll be popping back.

Top choice for early birds and brunch-aficionados, with the kitchen open from 7:30 AM even on Sundays. Great coffee, good vegetarian and vegan options, specials... Friendly, attentive staff and a relaxed atmosphere make it one of the city’s most reliable and enjoyable brunch spots.

We called in for breakfast and we had the brekkie burger and yoghurt and crunchola. The burger was really tasty and it hit the spot. The yoghurt with granola and fruit was also really good and it was a huge portion. My wife ate less than half of it and was full! It goes without saying that I polished it off! It's a nice space to sit in and service was very good so I'm happy to recommend this place to everyone out there!

Always good! The atmosphere is perfect for brunch and the menu is varied enough to have a surprise option or new flavour upon each visit. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

We are tourists from Belarus, and this café was a real gem for us! The breakfast was excellent: perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes, and flavorful beans in tomato sauce – everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and quick. We felt right at home but with a lovely European touch. We’ll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends!

Breakfast restaurant
Homebaked Bakery is a beloved establishment located near Liverpool Football Club's Anfield Stadium. This community-owned bakery offers an array of delicious baked goods, including pies, pastries, and homestyle breakfast and lunch options. Despite the current lockdown, they continue to bake their award-winning pies for customers to enjoy. While their shop is closed, customers can find their pies at the Neighbourhood Cafe for collection. Visitors praise the fresh and satisfying food as well as the attentive and friendly staff.
I'm so glad we came here. I was starving before the anfield tour so we stopped in and I had a breakfast buttie. Honestly, it was just fine. It was made clear that the thing to get is one of their many pies. Once the tour wrapped up we came back and grabbed one. They were practically sold out by 12:30 but I managed to get a Scouse pie and it was probably the best one I had all trip.

Great spot for breakfast! The poached avocado toast and breakfast butties were delicious, and the coffee was also delicious. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made it even better. Highly recommend!

Superb cafe, across the road from Anfield! Community run, and all profits go to local good causes. Really busy on match day but highly recommended. Most people come here for the award winning pies. The Shankly pie seems really popular, but I normally go for a pie with a Jamaican twist - jerk chicken and veg. The Barnes 10 pie is absolutely delicious. The filling has a generous amount of veg inside. The mushroom and brandy pie is also a winner if you want to go vegetarian. They do poached eggs and avocado breakfast, which is also good. The people working here are always sound. This place was recommended to me, and it really lived up to it.
Alan E — Google review
Just finished Stadium tour, and had a pie sitting down at shop. Had a Vegan Scouse pie which intrigued me and it was lovely. My friend and cousin had traditional meat based pies and they enjoyed theirs too. Liked the fact you could buy pies to take home and cook. Shop had a window shelf with about 5 stools so not really a sit down place. Probably very busy on match day.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem for Cake and Coffee Lovers! If you’re a fan of cozy vibes, friendly service, and truly delicious home-baked treats, this place is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and warm cakes straight from the oven. The cakes are absolutely divine – moist, flavourful, and clearly made with love. Whether you’re into classic Victoria sponge, rich chocolate fudge, or something a bit more unique like their seasonal specials, there’s something for every sweet tooth. You can really taste the difference that home baking makes. The coffee is just as impressive – smooth, strong, and expertly brewed. It pairs perfectly with the cakes and makes for a lovely afternoon break or a catch-up spot with friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely, with charming décor and a welcoming feel. You’re not just a customer here – you feel like a guest in someone’s kitchen. Highly recommend this little gem – I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

My new favourite pie place! The mushroom and brandy pie was succulent, delicious, well filled. Pastry was perfect. My wife said her flat white coffee was excellent. Good service, nice atmosphere, just across the road from Anfield stadium, and it’s a cooperative. The only way it could be improved would be by opening a branch in my town - I’d be there all the time!
Terry B — Google review
We had a pre match Shankly pie - crispy, flaky pastry stuffed to the rafters with steak, veg and gravy. Genuinely one of the best pies I’ve ever had, eaten in the shadow of Anfield on a cold, damp January evening. The rocky road slice was decent, although paled into insignificance to the quality of the pie. Football food at its finest.

We come for the meat pies, which, although they've retained the delicious taste, seem significantly smaller these days. Staff - bit too much chatting with each other, and sort of like they're doing you a favour. Update: ordered some pies (as there rarely seems to be any ready) and needed to add two more so tried phoning for that simple adjustment. Not so simple when all you get is a recording saying leave a message. The meat pies are nice (but small), but it's unpleasant wondering if there will be any there when you go out especially to get them, and also not being able to speak to a human when you phone the shop. It is good that the stock sells quickly but the inefficient management results in disappointment.

Always held this place in High regard, but not been for many years and stopped by for a sausage roll and some pies. Wont be going back for many years either. Sausage meat was awful, almost rubber like. I thought I remembered these being quite peppery, but obviously not. Prescot pie didn't live up to much either! Pretty disappointed.

Prsonally believe this to be the best cakes in Liverpool!! Lovely cafe next to shop, freshly cooked food/sandwiches/puds, and a decent cup of tea/coffee. Shop has freshly made bread, cakes (including cream cakes) and pies (just like mum/nan used to make!) which are obviously sold in the cafe too. Celebration cakes made to order. Also has meat counter and sells their own blend of coffee, best jam and chutneys. Well worth the extra cost. Small car park at side (just beyond council car park) and ticket machine which issues voucher with your ticket that will be refunded with purchase at Ray's shop or cafe. Shop been there for about 100 years (literally).

Sausage roll soggy pies definitely not handmade Would say they are bought in maybe even frozen Cream bun very nice soft chewy Very disappointed based on the reviews went for breakfast but had none. If this is the best Liverpool has to offer I am seriously disappointed in Liverpool.

Lovely little family bakery and coffee shop. Something for each member of the family and often a choice for one of us on the specials board too. Both children like it there too. They try to keep wait times on food to a minimum if they see you have children, but in truth the wait times are perfectly acceptable even if they're busy and we don't have children with us. Remember it is a small family run business coffee shop and not a Starbucks or Costa (which I also frequent happily), so it is is a nice change to such places.

If you're on the lookout for a delightful dining experience that welcomes your furry companions, Bootleggers New Brighton in Wallasey is an ideal choice. Nestled along Seabank Road, this inviting bakery and café features outdoor seating where dogs can relax while you savor mouthwatering dishes prepared right before your eyes. The menu boasts a variety of options, including standout plant-based creations like the Veggie "Stacker" Burger and a Halloumi burger that rivals traditional meat offerings.
What an amazing dinner experience, so enjoyed eating in this establishment, the food was soooo good, prepped & cooked pretty much in front of you, flavours & menu diversity was great, the team of six working at the time just buzzed & bounced off each other, really professional, service timings relaxed & just right for us, not rushed & not slow, background music spot on too. We had a sharing platter for starters, I had pizza that came with hot really tasty chips & salad, my partner had asparagus pasta, really good portions, dessert was cheese cake to go, because we just could not squeeze anymore food in, partners cocktail spot on as we're my couple of beers. £54 well spent, need to get back the ASAP. Did phone & booked around two hours before arriving (19:15). 😋🤗

A truly spectacular restaurant... I visited with family while holidaying and was not disappointed. The Veggie "Stacker" Burger is a wonderful example of plant based cooking done right and the Halloumi burger is indistinguishable from its meat counterpart (the highest praise for a no meat burger), finally the chef special (Duck roast with bacon peas and new potato cubes) was a dish done justice.

Terrific cafe on the outskirts of New Brighton, in an area that feels like a little village. The food is very good here and you might have to wait for a table if you haven't reserved one. There's indoor and outside seating. Try to get an outside table under the glass canopy. The friendly staff enhance the relaxing atmosphere.
