Visited on a recommendation of family. Potato top and party pies were good. Smoked brisket and jd bbq sauce left me looking for the meat. But the taste was ok. If a little sweet for my liking. Overall I'll visit again if in the area

Tried the smoked beef jalapeno cheddar and it was delicious. My only critique was that the pastry was a little bland and lacked the rich butter flavour I was expecting as well as the cheese used. The meat filling was wonderfully smoky, savoury and rich. It was Well seasoned and they were generous with the jalapenos. The cheese was the single plasticky kind of cheese, I would have preferred a sharp cheddar which would have complemented the pie better but overall a fantastic pie! Cost was $7 and well worth it.

Fabulous cakes and pies. I didn't believe we could be lucky enough to ever find a bakery that sold nice cakes and pies together but now we have ! We visited Paul the Piemans twice while staying in Inverloch and we extremely happy with everything we had. I can now recommend the beesting cakes, chocolate eclair, cream jelly cakes, beef brisket pie, potato / Shepard's pie , party pie and the pastie. The pastie was just like I remember as ibkid with flakey pastry, chinks of potato ,peas etc. We'll definitely be going back to Paul the Piemans when we visit Inverloch again.

Stopped in on our way through for lunch. Pepper pie and sandwiches were delicious! But it was the service from the two young gents that made it great! Positive, polite, attentive with some good old fashioned banter! Can’t get much better than that!

The pies looked amazing so I bought a steak and mushroom pie for $7.00. What a mistake, it wasn't steak. It was finely ground beef and not much of it and the mushroom was straight from a can as it had the clear brown sauce you find in canned mushroom. It was one of the worst pies I have tried, as we were driving I threw over half of it out for the wildlife. Never again but looking at the reviews, it seems so many are easily pleased with poor food. They probably think McDonald's is delicious.

Perfect place to stop. Lots of nearby parking, plenty of seating indoors and out. Pepper steak pie was the right amount of spicy, great pastry held together well. Sausage roll was flavoursome good combo of meat and veg. Pineapple cream was a delight sweet light creamy goodness. Staff were very friendly

Good pies, all the cakes, biscuits and slices looked amazing (sadly I did not consume any) and the coffee was decent. Nice outdoor seating as well. All in all a lovely classic example of a country bakery.

they make coffee and they have pies at standardised prices which is more than apt considering the location, good service and kind. If your stuck alone on your birthday just whistle and one the local currawongs will come and help you eat your excellent lemon birthday cake.

I have been coming to this bakery for 15 years. Very disappointed with the new pies. Originally they were square pies. The top of the pie looks like a regular size round pie but the foil plate base that holds the meat is very small. They use to have majority thick chunks of meat but now its a gravy with very little blended meat. The pastry tastes good but for $8.10 i will pass the next time i come through. Coffee is great though

Lots of great well marked vegan options which is really appreciated. Had the Coconut Curry Pie and the Vegan Schnitzel Focaccia; both were incredible, the pie so much I didn’t even have a chance to take a pic 🤣 Definitely worth stopping in for a bite and a drink!

Only called in for lunch a couple of times but food was delicious, coffee and tea lovely. Nice staff, very polite and helpful.

Sanny Bakehouse has friendly staff, a great selection of pies and even better donuts. I somewhat regretted ordering the lime-flavoured milkshake before a long drive back to Melbourne, but that one's on me. There is some rather interesting art on display (and for sale) so check it out if you're in the area.

San Remo Sanny bakehouse has very delicious pies and amazing coffee. I highly recommend you visit and enjoy it.

I like their muffin a lot. Had the raspberry and white chocolate flavour. Tried the butter chicken pie too, didn't expect it to be Indian fusion food but it was well done. I'm quite impressed at how they manged to keep the pie flaky and intact when the fillings had so much gravy. Pie is quite big. Enough for a meal.

Very disappointing gelato ( I wouldn't even call it Instead I would describe it as icecream with very little flavouring) and customer service! I have never heard of an ice-cream or gelato business never offering samples ! The sign on the window says no gelato samples AND no eating gelato on the inside chairs ! After reading that I would have left except we had 3 children waiting for the gelato as promised. The young lady serving us really couldn't be bothered and made no effort at all to even try to be friendly. Not only could we not have samples but she didn't even offer or attempt to take the lid off any of the flavours so we could see them before us ordering, instead she waited until we had all received our gelato and moved away to eat them. At $6 a single and $11 for a double the prices are up there and I would expect a great ,creamy gelato and good customer service but this experience was neither of those things ! After spending significant amount of money for 5 adults and 3 children to have icecream then be told you can't eat it inside or on the outside tables, you instead need to move up the street to a bench seat not undercover ( yes it was beginning to spit rain ) to eat your icecream was very poor and particularly as there were no other customers inside or outside ! I don't usually write anything but good reviews but this disappointing experience was just too much to not let others know.

A great place to stop and enjoy a coffee and slice on my way home today from my favourite garden centre, Greenerlife Inverloch. I've often enjoyed some great treats from their Gelato Bar, too.

Can someone tell me if this place is open? We were here today because of the inverloch jazz festival at around 1pm and it was closed. We have been here before on Sundays and the place always is closed. If you are open you should update your times on Google.

Best ice-cream in Invy - locally made delicious flavours, cones or cups - anything salty is good for me - salty caramel or peanut are great. Jen loves macadamia and honey comb - honestly one scoop is enough. Most importantly this place is clean and well managed. Prices are 3 stars but thats what u expect for the best

Great spot, friendly staff, and yummy food. Had a freshly baked croissant. They have several cosy areas to sit, and look on the street, they also have some cosy tables out the back. Perfect. Highly recommended.

Great little quick stop for pastries, sandwiches, and slices/cakes. We had a steak, bacon and cheese pie, sausage roll, Turkish salami roll, French vanilla slice, and a hedgehog slice. Everything was delicious. Outside seating so our puppy could sit with us.

Excellent Vanilla Slice & tasty Beef Curry Pie. Indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat outside with the shade of a tree whilst having lunch, very pleasant.

HUGE Disappointment, purchased several pies, beef burgundy, pepper steak, curry and all of them contained grisly, fatty meat that was inedible and unpleasant, majority of the pies were spat out. Have visited this bakery many time and never had such an awful experience, probably won't come back sadly

Excellent experience. It looked like a normal bakery from outside but far more than regular bakery. It served many kind of pies, breads, cakes, subs, etc. Coffee was good as well. Plus enthusiastic staffs delighted me in the morning.

We must have got this bakery on a bad day!! The coffee was cold and tasted terrible. Ended up throwing it out. Not sure what their idea of an apple cake is but certainly different to mine! It was about as thick as a biscuit with the tiniest amount of bland filling. We were there at around 2 pm but staff were more interested in mopping the floor than serving the many customers in the shop. Extremely disappointing visit and won't bother again.

I was passing through Rosedale on the way to melbourne looking for a classic country bakery for a decent pie. Staff were lovely and great selection of pies. I had the special steak, cheese and jalepeno which hit the spot. I would reccomend you stop in for a quick feed if you are considering eating here.

I swear to goodness I got food poisoning from this place I am doing review sit on the toilet right now. It’s 12:45am. I ordered a salmon bagel which isn’t a real bagel, it was a bagel shaped bread ( I don’t know whether it was being spit on or not I didn’t eat much of it because I know the feeling when someone did something to your food) well I travel to Rosedale all the time I was told by locals not to go to this one , but today was a beautiful day I thought what can go too wrong at bakery ? Here I am having food poisoning midnight.

Rosedale Bakery was always our last resort on a road trip as the pies were average at best. Dropped in today and something has definitely changed and changed for the better! Pie was good and hot, Pastry was flakey and crisp, pie filling was savoury and tasty. Overall a good pie, best we’ve had in there by a long shot. Let’s hope this keeps up!

This bakery has something for everyone. Located in the Main Street it is the place to come for that pie, salad roll, sweet treats and more. You can dine in or take away. There is an interesting array of wood carvings here to view as well. To eat: pies are fabulous but the roast beef roll was great. Staff are extremely helpful and eager to please. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front.

Great bakery, very clean inside outside dining and with all you could want, bread, rolls, cakes, pastries, buns, great variety of pies,sausage rolls, toasties, n humungous Coffee Scrolls, (awesome) and really nice coffee, great friendly helpful staff, and RAW HONEY, ($20kg) n it is soo sooo nice, (haven't had raw honey in years,) other honey available @ great prices compared to Markets.... We will sure call in again, couldn't fault it....

Some delicious treats and the bread is often delicious. Sadly though the only thing that lets this bakery down is its service. Always so rude and abrupt. Used to go in weekly… now once in a blue moon.

After a lengthy bike ride down The East Gippsland Rail Trail, this bakery served as the perfect pitstop to gather my breath and have something to eat. I tried a variety of products here, the standouts were the beef and curry pie, and the apple scroll loaf. I was astounded by the affordability of the food here. I can guarantee that this bakery will see more of me and my wallet!

We went for a drive from lakes entrance and went to Bruthen, a lovely little town. It has all the essentials for a tourist.

Pies, sausage rolls and cakes are all amazing!!!!! We came for three times during our stay in Metung. The coffee cake is the must-try! My partner prefer the cheesecake and lamington. I can’t explain how much I love the food here, also grab some cakes to bring back to Melbourne today. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely will come back next holiday.

I am surprised that they have Asian style roast pork. As my wife is lactose intolerant, they custom-made a roast pork sandwich with special sauce, and it end up to be the best sandwich we had during our 2-week trip. The roast pork is tasty and tender while the pork skin is yummy crunchy ! And we have the wonderful coffee to go with.

Tried something different for lunch today and wasn’t disappointed. Lan whipped up a batch of High Protein Bagels today and they are delicious. I had mine toasted with tuna, cheese and mayo to try and be a little healthy. It was absolutely delicious.

Bought take away lunch here twice recently. Wide selection of pastries, cakes, rolls and Banh Mi. Friendly and quick service. Both the chicken and pork rice paper rolls were fresh but tasted slightly bland. Pie and pasty good. Vanilla slice and brownie were yummy!

Great pies and coffee. Great view of the water. But the young fella running the front counter needs a change in attitude, very rude and had to repeat pie order twice because apparently he couldn't understand what 3 pies we wanted in a single sentence, other than that great little spot.

This bakery is amazing! The pastry is sooooo crispy and tastes better than anything I had in Melbourne! The cream is fluffy and not too sweet for me. Perfect for those who don’t like their dessert to be too sweet.

I love this little bakery. The award winning pies and other cakes and pastries were amazing. I had the meat pie and it was the best I have ever eaten it really puts the name of the bakery to good use. The tart was also amazing and I would highly recommend it if you were ever in town. The staff were super friendly as were all the locals in the shop whilst I visited. The coffee I must also mentioned was sensational. It was rich and creamy and just one of the best coffees I have ever eaten. I would love to go back of it weren't a four hour drive but that sadly is a me problem. I would also like to highlight the vibe of the place with the friendly lobster and croc rolls on the wall are a true piece of art to be stared at and not eaten haha. I would seriously check this out even if you're just passing through town as it truly is an amazing bakery.

The Crazy Cow Cafe and Bakery, simikar to other reviews given here unfortunately, misses the mark in almost every way, making for an extremely disappointing experience. Despite its prime location and the potential charm of its spacious cafe area, the execution falls flat, leaving much to be desired. The service was abysmal. Not only was the staff unfriendly—lacking even a basic smile—but they were also slow and inattentive, taking far too long to note down a simple order. This lack of warmth and efficiency set a poor tone for the visit. The coffee, however, was the true lowlight. Served at a scalding temperature, it was so hot that it left blisters in my mouth—a dangerous and completely unacceptable mistake. To make matters worse, the flavor was bitter and unpleasant, leaving a lingering taste that further soured the experience. It's a real shame, as the cafe's spacious layout and location suggest it has the potential to be a standout destination. Instead, it falls short in almost every way. With improvements to their service and attention to detail in their food and beverages, the Crazy Cow Cafe and Bakery could truly shine. For now, though, it’s hard to recommend.

I had a wonderful time! My almond latte was delicious and I had the large breakfast. I adored the sense of community as the locals were coming in and out for their coffees and sandwiches. My breakfast reminded me of having a big breakfast with the family on a Sunday morning. They also had a big variety of options and for a place that’s very far from the big smoke, I was shocked at how much gluten free options there were! Vegan options aswell.

It's a shame I didn't listen to my partner when he warned me against buying pies here. He had twice previously and said they were terrible. But when I went in, the pies looked absolutely lovely. The tops anyway. After purchasing a cheese and bacon pie with some small cakes for an astronomical price, I found the base was almost completely raw and after breaking open the perfectly puffed flaky top pastry, I realised that underneath that was also raw. Photos attached. Not to be deterred, I dove into the inside with a fork. I'm not sure what meat the "mince" was, but it definitely wasn't the texture/color/flavour of any pok/beef/lamb/chicken mince I've ever eaten and it wasn't pleasant. It reminded me of offal. Although it was fairly salty gravy, it was also very lacking in flavour except for an underlying unpleasant taste that I couldn't place. The "bacon" are the chopped processed pink meat and the cheese was a cheap thin pre-made cheese sauce that was watery and bland. There was real cheese on top of the pie, so I kinda assumed it would contain the same. The cakes were nice, though not fresh at all and definitely not worth $7.50 for half the size everywhere else sells for $5 or less. So bad. I wish I'd gone to the other bakery down the road after reading the reviews.

I was not disappointed in the slightest, I opted for a cauliflower soup, they asked if I wanted to add cream and I did. It was honestly delicious, the owners were very kind and happy to serve. My partner got a roast pork and gravy roll which he also enjoyed! I wish this place was closer to home so we could come again for the soup

It is interesting that this place is trading under the name of a previously very successful cafe in Omeo. The competition's reputation was too good for this bakery , so they, with sneaky intent, have used the name to boost their own business. What about just provide a better quality service and product. Quite pitiful really and definitely illustrates how lacking in pride they are. Sad.

The cheese and bacon pie I had was superb and was the best pie I’ve ever had in the alpine region. After I went up to get a vanilla slice and my card declined but he gave it to me anyway. Don’t go past bright, go past Omeo instead!

Ricotta and pear tart had mold inside!!! Bakery itself was fine but the food was frightful. Vege focaccia was stale and soggy with little taste.

Best service in town! Jarrod’s Bakery is easily one of the best food spots around. The place is spotless, the sandwiches are always fresh, prepped early and ready-to-go or to order, and there’s a huge range of food and drinks to choose from. The coffee’s always hot and strong and they always remember my order! But what really makes it stand out is the team. They’re friendly, fast, and always go the extra step. It’s my first stop on the way to work every day, and I always leave feeling happy and grateful for their kindness. Big thanks to Carlie and the team.

The food was extremely good quality, and the interior is beautiful. Amazing staff and the food comes out/gets made quickly. 10/10, would come back anytime. Loved my meal too! Would also recommend to anyone I know who is in Bairnsdale. (I had the Toasted Raisin Bread, which the person who served us put through for me even though it was after 10:30am which is when it ‘stops’ being served for the day)

Dropped in on Good Friday. Very busy but service was still swift and super friendly. We got fresh sandwiches, they both tasted amazing and the ingredients were cool and crisp. Definitely recommend

Good bakery with some really nice pies. Try the chunky steak pie, very chunky indeed. You can sit out side on chairs provided or the grassy area across the service lane car park on public park benches and tables. Public toilets also availabke near by. Note pretty popular so it can be busy at times.

Had eggs and bacon on Turkish bread. The eggs weren't over cooked and the bacon was of a high quality. The tomato relish and Swiss cheese added tons of flavour.

A fun road trip stop. Seems like the best bakery for a long way in either direction and we were very satisfied. We ordered a cheese and bacon pie, sausage roll and caramel slice, and all were of a standard but well executed nature. The caramel slice was the highlight, with a crisp chocolate topping and lots of smooth caramel.

We called in today, three older couples looking for something hot to eat and drink. We all enjoyed our pies and spinach and ricotta rolls, as well as our coffees. The service was was great.

Ordered a meat pie with sauce and a drink early afternoon. Walk outside to the tables where some people were still seated only to be abruptly told "Take away only". Fair suck of the sausage roll, we are closing. Plus the pie was hotter than the Chernobyl melt down.

Awful. Worst pie I've ever had. I had a beef and mushroom pie and it was woeful - burnt crust, dry filling, somehow tough beef innards. It tasted like it was a few days old and spent a lot of its life in a pie warmer. My family had a plain beef pie (average at best), chicken pie (decent) and ham and cheese sandwich (decent but not hard). Definitely don't recommend.

Great place to drop in while passing through. I thought the chicken schnitzel roll was a bit on the small side (a half portion of chicken schnitzel) but the flavour made me not care. It was excellent. Free colouring pages for the kids. Great service. Loved it.

🥧 Pies are not bad and reasonably priced. However most of them has beef in it, so you don’t really have much choice if you don’t eat beef. Variety of cakes and sandwiches available too with plenty of seating available.

Bustling bakery in the middle of town! Perfect stop on the way to Venus Bay. So many delicious options and we had a variety amongst our family; spinach quiche, Cornish pastie, egg & lettuce sandwich, sausage roll, as well as a French vanilla slice and Nutella donut. YUM! All devoured before we could take a pic. So we stopped on the way back and got this for me! Helpful and pleasant staff, lots of room for big groups inside and out. Parking close by along the train lines where there are also public toilets.

The best bakery! Coffee scrolls with lots of sultanas and cinnamon! Apricot pies encased in the nicest pastry! Lemon slices are elite! The service is excellent! We ordered a whole box of goodies to take home with us!

What a busy little bakery, loved their vanilla slice, so good that we went back for another. The girls that served us, were just gorgeous and very helpful, even offering to have our order ready for next day pick up if needed. Don’t get lovely customer service like this much anymore. The carrot cake was so amazing that I couldn’t wait until after I’d snapped a photo to take a bite! Also had the nicest sausage roll - meaty, flaky and delicious! Lovely service and good selection of treats!

A must go to when in Mallacoota! Pies and Pasty were delicious, iced Scroll went down a treat and the coffee totally passed the test. Bought Rolls too, nice and soft. Plenty of outside space, and the view is great. Will be going back tomorrow for coffee and hit cross buns. Young girl serving was great 😊

They made a beautiful cake for my daughters 6th birthday. A delicious vanilla sponge cake with cream inside and chocolate icing. Exactly what she asked for. They ladies who work there are lovely and the curry pie was great too 😋

We decided to eat here because it has a name "Pandesal Bakery", however they don't make the pandesal bread at all (purchased from the previous owner). Just a typical cafe bakery good coffee and croissants. Recommend you either change the business name or add pandasal bread to your offering.

My boys and I ducked into the bakery on a lovely ride to Leongatha to Meenyan. It was a beautiful ride but the worst but were the pies. They had almost no meat and in the words of my son it giggles like it’s just Jelly. The price was fair but the pie was maybe the worst bakery pie I have ever had.

Service was very slow and the food was cold and soggy (we ended up taking one bite of the sausage roll and tossed it out). Couple of the staff members were also quite cold in manner. It seemed like such a chore for them to clean up 2 coffee cups, a small dessert plate and a single napkin left by the people before us. Also God forbid asking for tap water, otherwise you’ll be met with a condescending tone and an RBF to match. Admittedly I will award points for the good coffee and the decent cold pastry/desserts. The decor is nice and clearly thought through and the little table in the middle with a variety of local jams and packed desserts was a nice country touch. I ended up buying 3 jars of boysenberry jam. I see a lot of reviews here speaking extremely highly of this place but I would take that as a grain of salt to be honest. If you’re a city-slicker just passing though this town then you really don’t have much choice as their aren’t many other available options. Just cross your fingers and hope there are less than 3 customers in the store otherwise the young ladies running the floor might crumble under the “pressure”.

Stopped in for Coffee and Breaky before heading off. Kids had a mix of Pies and Sausage Rolls wife and I grabbed a coffee. Allround great stop awesome food place must get busy as it was packed with fresh rolls and salads along with the great out bakery selections. Aww and cant forget the unreal looking Hedgehog slice!!

Had a mushroom pie and a vanilla slice. The pie had nice pastry and flavour although could have a little more mushroom. The vanilla slice was magnificent, good vanilla flavour, crisp pastry with icing sugar. Definitely worth a visit.

The cauliflower and broccoli pie was phenomenal! Perfectly cooked and filled to the top. I have frequented many bakeries over my 20 years of life and this takes the cake.

Customer service at Pandesal Bakery is just as excellent as the food! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. The bakery section was closed when we arrived, but the staff kindly opened it just for us, such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend Pandesal Bakery!

Called in rather late but snared a great pasty, and the Mr. had a pie. One of the best bakery pasty I have had for ages loved that it was not pepper loaded like lots of bakery's are doing these days. Keep up the good work.

Just passing by the little baker and went to a cup of coffee . The shop clerk there is really nice. They have several kinds of bread 🥖 such as sourdough Rye etc. I bought a sourdough but haven’t try it yet smells good. The latte is good too. Really love this place.

Solid scallop pies, good enough kick of spice for our Asian palette🔥 sooooo yummy. 🤤 we also got their sausage roll, granny’s lamb pie. Big chunks of lamb and perfect seasoning and lots of vege too. Very very wholesome on a Saturday morning paired with a scroll along the water ❤️

Me and my daughter came to this cafe/bakery, we were greeted by a bunch of SUPER EPIC humans, who went above and beyond for us, my daughter (22 months) is a super fussy eater and the gentleman made her a box up with eggs, bacon and toast, cut into tiny little bite sized pieces, this wasn't something advertised, they went out of their way to make sure she was happy. This happened both times we went in, and the coffee was amazing. 10/10. Very great vibe and fun life loving people spreading positivity and good energy to their customers.

Lin and her team of lovely, helpful ladies are very attentive, listen well to what you order, and deliver the food and drink promptly. The cafe/bakery is always clean and tidy, with a little trolley to help with clean up: soapy water for utensils, a tray for crockery, and 2 separate bins for 10c bottles and rubbish. If you were to pick a bakery in Sale to visit, this would be the one. Good range of great food at slightly lower prices than other bakeries in town. Park around the back and go in the back door instead of trying to park on Raymond St. Don't leave your lunch run too late though.

A very friendly atmosphere while eating a delicious home baked pie or pastie. There is a variety of other delicious food available also. 'Get in for your chop'!

Very popular spot for the Sunday drivers and riders who venture by. The pies were great, and the coffee hit the spot. So why only 3 stars? Sauceflation is just something we have learned to live with. A big box of sauce packets costs bugger all, yet some bakeries include them for free, while others charge a premium. Here at Strzelecki Bakery, the chunky steak and pepper pie and the veggie pastie cost a smidge under $7 each. They were top quality, but adding 40c for sauce feels a bit too cheeky for me.

We did a housesit here in Mirboo and came to this bakery for at least 6 times. And it was the best service and coffee cakes we have had for a long time. The prices were good too. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work. You guys rock.

(seasonal tho) One star less for Bakery than they deserve only because you don't do Iced/Coffee/Chocolate or Malted Milkshakes....goes well for the big kids (adults) as well as the younger one.. What an awesome bakery tho and such lovely friendly helpful staff, as I was only one in the store at first and young lad made my ever so yummy tuna and salad s'w (fit for a king I might add) another female staff asked if there was anything else I wanted which was great to see, she finished my sale and was then able to serve next customer without any one having to wait .Fantastic team work to all.. Hubbies meat pie he enjoyed very much, (we are both fussy on pastry) and this was just perfect. As well as your normal bakery pastries, lots of delicious looking cakes to choose from, fresh bread with a choice of white, wholemeal seeded/plain... Sour dough lots to choose from...also sell local honey,by bottle, 500g and kg. You either eat in or two tables on front verandah or park across road with plenty of trees and picnic tables....playground, hire a basketball for the court, or take a look at their own Centopath, dedicated to all their war heroes...also a lovely track to walk around the park and look at all the different beautiful old trees... Also the local pub for counter meals, and events once a month(need to book tho) as I was told by the local lady who runs the Market shop opposite that could keep you busy for a while checking out all the old and new local made stuff... Also sell fresh local honey at a good price....a town really worth a quick sidetrack from main road......... When your done there take a 2 minute drive to the site of the world's largest tree, (bit odd tho as memorial to it is about 200mtrs from where actual tree was..a white post now stands there..) then take about .a ten minute drive to Narracan Falls, flowing fast 4/12/23 after good rainfall, nice easy walk down to the falls, not to steep, just have to beware of the cow pat's, especially the fresh ones.....Only disappointment there was the long grass and rotted ol picnic tables and the dirty signage, I think shire needs to up it's game like they all do...A trip well worth a day out for....beware tho which way you head out, best ever scenery around, some very step edges on side of roads, lots of dirt narrow roads also....

Great selection. Sweet and savoury treats on offer and great bread options on offer. Delicious treats to be found as well as the usual soft drinks & iced coffees in the fridge. Sandwich bar for any of the the custom requests. Well stocked pie warmer with pies and sausage rolls - even at 3pm on a Saturday. Would recommend the Portuguese tarts 😍 Not heaps of seating to dine in or out the front. I did visit in winter though so that may be a factor for outdoor dining. Park across the road you could sit at if required. Service was prompt and card facility worked well.

Had the lamb, rosemary and garlic pie and the flavours were well balanced, but it was a little salty for my liking. Coffee, black no sugar, was spot on. Highly recommend the coffee scroll. All for under $20.

Great service, great Apple Turnovers-great country Bakery

This cafe is one of the few bakeries around the area, so I was eager to give it a try. I ordered an apple crumble, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The base was very soggy and not as thick as I would have liked, which took away from the overall texture. The apple filling itself was decent, but the crumble topping lacked the crumbly, textured feel that makes a good apple crumble enjoyable. When eaten together, the flavors didn’t quite come together in a satisfying way. On a more positive note, I also tried their classic meat pie, which was a decent size and came with complementary tomato sauce.

Large country bakery offering a huge range of simple savoury lunch items, sweet treats and drinks. We went in near closing time and they served fresh pies with a smile. There's a few local varieties such as the Miner's Pie worth a try. Eat in experience includes access to drinking water and cutlery. There's plenty of seating options inside and out for large groups. Being directly opposite Woolies makes this a viable pitstop.

I had the Gippsland pie, wife had jalapeno and cheese. Both were fantastic. A very popular bakery with a good reputation.

Service as always is fantastic with a great bunch of staff, always happy friendly and helpful.... Be warned tho it can get noisy at times, and it isn't the young kids, it's the oldies having a great get together and enjoying time out....

Totally 5 stars! Very friendly staff. Sausage roll was well seasoned firm and delicious. Chicken pie was creamy chicken good held together to the last bite. Doughnuts were firm sweet and went so well with the jam and cream. Seating indoors and out. Plenty of nearby parking.

This place is amazing, the staff are some of the friendliest people to meet. Food options look delicious, i chose the Egg and Bacon Roll. This took a little but it was delicouis and worth the wait. The place has wonderful photos from 1904 - 1946 (i forgot) which just shows how long Paynsville has come. Definitelly come here for a quick bakery snack or coffee.

Sorry but a white choc raspberry muffin isn’t supposed to be filled with raspberry jam!! Yuck. I would’ve got a jam donut if that was the case. Haven’t been a local for 29 years and haven’t been to the bakery in quite some time. Looks like I won’t be back for another decade or so. Very very disappointed. Disgusting.

My wife and I had lunch here while visiting the beautiful locality of Paynesville. We each had a sausage roll which we enjoyed. We also shared a fresh cream doughnut and a 500ml Nippy coffee drink. The total cost was $14.10. We ate our food inside the bakery looking out over the beautiful water view. Service was friendly and helpful. The food was good, but we have had better, thus the rating of 4 rather than 5. The bakery also offers fresh made sandwiches and coffee. We would recommend a visit if looming for a quick inexpensive snack.

I now travel 56km to this baker for pies pasties and some secret recipe carrot cake. My brother and his wife stopped here on a return trip from Brisbane to pick up some food before stopping at my home and the best pies, pasties and cake were our lunch and it was fantastic. The best bakery produce l have ever eaten, the vanilla slices look sensational and l'll try them next. Congratulations people.

When I was a kid, many years ago, my Mum & Dad used to go to a bakery 2 suburbs away. They drove past 3-4 bakeries to go to this particular bakery. This bakery had The best tastings pies and my parents bought twice as much as we needed so we could have some at another time. The bakery closed down after many years and I couldn't find a pie anywhere near as good. I travel all over Victoria, Tassie, Southern NSW, ACT and some of South Australia for work and stop at bakeries in towns to find a pie somewhere near that delicious pie. Well I have at last after many many years of searching found that pie. It's at River Baker Cafe in Orbost Victoria. If you live near or passing through, do yourself a favour, you won't be disappointed.

This has to be one of the best bakeries I look forward to going if I'm on the road near Foster. Everything is so reasonably priced, and I especially LOVE the apple and walnut scroll which is perfectly balanced with the most fluffiest and fresh dough. I also think their meat pie (specifically the cheese, steak and bacon) was exceptional with such a flaky and crusty top, and generous filling. So worth it!

Our pies were good with decent filling and a nice flaky pastry. We ordered 2 vanilla slices to have later. They looked really good in the display case. Unfortunately we were served ones from the back. The pastry on the vanilla slices was burnt and inedible. Can't believe they were being sold. Totally disappointed! We won't be back.

Very nice bacon and cheese sausage roll. It does fill you up. The meat was full of moist not bone dry and tasty. Cash only. Edit: came back 2 years later. They still taste amazing. My "go too" is usually the curry meat pie. I live in WA and when staying at Sandy Point, a curry pie is a must. This time I had the pepper pie. Just as good. Sometimes the lid comes off so be prepared. But for flavour an absolute gem! Yes I also brought a cold curry pie and took it home with me....

chicken satay pie was super Fab and the wagon wheel was great just like the good old days when the wagon wheels was that that size, service was brilliant and the lady that served me used tongs and was polite would go their again and again

I don't want to be too mean here as the staff where friendly enough but this was one of the worst bakeries I have been too. Actually to be fair the Pies and sausage rolls were probsbly a between 2-3 star depending. However the beverages were why I give one star iced coffee was just out of big m container, coffee tasted like a caffe latte coffee sachet you buy from supermarket was vile. The kids milkshakes tasted as they were also out of a supermarket just milk and terrible flavor. All 5 of us didn't drink our drinks.

19/01/23 staff who served us miserable, scratching her head then picks up a loaf of bread for slicing with her unwashed hands, loaf to eat that day was dry and all we could taste was salt, yeasterdays bread. Pies pastry dry and again at a guess yesterdays, not a great range of pies all looked dry and old and this was at 9.30 am in the morning. Would not recommend.

Ok for a quick snack or lunch, provided staff don't ignore you on approaching the counter, as the only customer in store could have been faster service, not left to twiddle my thumbs for a minute or two... So staff need to concentrate on service rather than chatting out back, then continuing in the store itself, loudest staff I have ever heard on Friday..24/2, yes girls you were polite said hello, enjoy, and enjoy your day as we left, really tho if you want the job do the job, we pay your WAGES

A nice country bakery. Got the classic spot on, the steak pie was one of the greatest I’ve ever had and the vanilla slice hit the spot perfectly. In house pastries with a good and effective team. My company had the chicken focaccia which was alright and the vegetarian quiche which was bland. However, overall experience was great

The sausage rolls were definitley reheated from the previous day. The pastry was not crisp or flaky and the meat was shrivelled up and dry. They were inedible and we will not be going back to this bakery.

The best steak and kidney pie i have had in a long time , lovely staff , great food and coffee , 100% reccomend.

Don’t want to be too harsh here as it was close to closing on a Saturday. We didn’t get any of the savoury dishes, only a lamington, a vanilla slice, or the passion fruit version, and a cream bun. The lamington was a real let down, it was chilled hard, dry, and no jam. The slice was ok…, the amount of powdered icing sugar is huge on their buns, and that was the item that the person with us enjoyed.

I've worked with some of the biggest bakeries in Australia and I am a lamb farmer. The roast lamb pie was easily the best pie I've ever eaten.

I always order cake from here for all our family events , they amazed me each time . But today my daughter's birthday cake was so beautiful, I can't believe on a very short notice they have done such an wonderful job. THANK YOU 😊 You have made her day!

Such a great spot for banh mi honestly one of the best I’ve had in the area! The liver spread has this beautiful sweet, aromatic, almost caramel like flavour that really stands out. Portion size, taste, and service were all spot-on super satisfying and full of flavour. If I could suggest anything, it would be to use Vietnamese mayo instead of just butter for that extra traditional touch. Also, it’d be great to see more meat variety like BBQ chicken or pork crackle instead of just fried chicken. But overall, absolutely delicious, I will definitely be back!

My gf bought 2 pies and 2 sausage rolls for our lunch today .. tasted like it had sat there since the early morning and yet still undercooked pastry was very dough like in texture and no flakes this place used to have amazing food but has gone down hill used to get weekly schnitzel rolls for lunch but stopped due to changes in quality/ owners food went in the bin and settled for maccas won’t go back any time soon very disappointed

Unfortunately, a big disappointment, avoid... Was so excited to buy a cherry ripe slice from a country bakery on my big country trip. When I got home tonight, I noticed mould on it. The caramel slice that we also bought tasted old, it was stale. It saddens me to give me a small regional business a 1 star review but inedible that could have made me sick is not good enough.

Dangerous! I bought a curry pie from here. I took one bite and the hot insides spurted out a large hole in the top. This burnt my hand, covered my car keys, the ground and my clothes in burning hot, runny pie filling. Once I had cleaned up enough to go back to the shop...no apology or replacement with one with no big hole in the top...just said all their pies have holes in the top so they can identify each pie. Offered me a paper bag and a serviette. Worst pie experience of my life. And I have burns on my hand. Don't go there!

Really well priced and delicious food with kind staff. The seating area is spacious and complimented with large beautiful paintings on the wall. My favourite go to is the chocolate donuts with jam and sprinkles.

Beautiful food, staff could be a bit more lively but they’re still nice. been to multiple bakeries from Drouin to Warragul and the food is always better here. if you’re in the area i’d highly recommend this place. i’m not big on spending money on breakfast every morning but this is the only place i can justify it. prices are perfect and really makes me want to come back. a beef pie and a small sausage roll for $8-$9 is perfect. haven’t had the sweets before but partner has, could have a bit more love in them but everything else in there baked goods is a definite come back and can’t go anywhere else in the local area for a breaky snack

Had an eclair and a hot chocolate. My mates had couple hot dogs and hot chocks. Nice and friendly staff. Clean place and very reasonable prices.

This is my favourite bakery , the food is fantastic ! The salad rolls and sausage rolls are my favourites . The girls that work in the shop are super friendly and nice and it's very affordable 👌
