Seriously delicious. My husband and I came two days in a row and tried 8 different items across our visits— the cardamom bun, milk bread, seeded rye roll (with butter and cheese), pear frangepane, vanilla bun, almond pastry, princess cake, apple tart with vanilla cream. My top picks were the cardamom bun, frangepane, and the vanilla bun. However, I don’t think there are any bad options here. Everything was top quality. One of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to. Definitely worth a visit (or a few)!

What a bakery! Lovely place in Osterbro, 10'~15' by bike from the city center. You can takeout or eat on one of the outdoor tables near the entrance. Probably the best bakery I've ever been to. The apple tart is really outstanding if you're lucky enough to find it. A must visit if you're a foodie in CPH! Visited in Sep. '25.

Visited around 1 pm on a weekday. There was quite a long line reaching out to the street, and I waited about 30 minutes. There were a few empty outdoor tables, so you can grab a seat while waiting in line. I bought the cardamom roll, almond croissant, and milk bun — all were delicious, but a bit too sweet for my taste.

Very rare that the food actually lives up the level virality and hype that this bakery has received! The cardamom bun easily exceeds the expectations! So delicious! It’s baked consistently throughout the day so it’s always fresh no matter when you get it. What makes delicious is that there is cardamom and syrup laced in inside each crevice of the knot without being too sweet at all. It’s incredibly moist. It’s kept its price consistent over the years even though there’s lines all day! Absolutely a world class bakery Tip: visit in the afternoon to avoid the large queues. I visited at 4pm and waited 5 mins

The best bakery in Copenhagen and this is coming from someone who doesn't have sweet tooth. 100% get the cardamom bun otherwise you'll regret leaving without it. There is a cute park close by with benches, would recommend sitting there instead of trying to find space in their small front porch.

The hype is real. One of the longest lines I've seen and been in to get into a bakery in a while. I got the brioche bun that came with apples. It was amazing. Blew me away. I also got a small box of shortbread cookies to go and a milk bun. Worth waiting line or getting up extra early and beating the crowds. Nice neighborhood to walk around afterwards. The new port neighborhood is down the street from this bakery.

Greeted upon arrival and quickly served. We ordered a croissant, chocolate chip cookies, a latte and a cold brew on ice. Service was friendly and helpful; suggested cold brew over the iced Americano I initially ordered. The cold brew was amazingly smooth. So, I'm glad I went with the suggestion. The croissant was not overly flaky, yet the crumb was beautiful and soft. The brown butter chocolate chip cookie was chewy with a good amount of chocolate and the perfect sprinkle of salt.

This is THE first place I went after I touched down and HAD to get the cardomom croissant. Giving it a 50/10 if I can, it’s THAT good that I had to pack 5 of it to bring home to share with my family and friends. Came back a few times afterwards and honestly the service there is top notch, coffee is amazing and just the ambience is great too! Can’t wait to be back!

The best Croissant (cardamom Croissant) I've had and i did have quite a lot of Croissants having traveled some 28 countries. I wanted to mention "one of the best" but im trying to remember how many were nicer than this one. The filter coffee was good. We also took a vanilla custurd pastry, Croissant & Tebirkes for the journey ahead and all of those were amazing. It was totally worth the visit to this place. The cardamom croissant was really good. The location per se was alright because it used to be a meat packing district. But the food was something else. I've never had a tastier croissant. It was different and good.

The dark chocolate went very well with the mango/passion jam. The coffee was okay for a bakery. If you are looking for great coffee you’d be better off going to a proper cafe. They offered oat milk yet not decaf. Water available. Toilet available.

I came here as it was a highly rated bakery in the vicinity of the highest rated TripAdvisor (a rival reviewing site) bakery in Copenhagen (Hart Bakery). I decided to compare the bakeries by getting a signature cardamom pastry, and seeing if they'd fill up my water for free. The cardamom pastry from this bakery was one of the greatest pastries I've ever had. I have had 4 cardamom based pastries recently, and my sweet lord this was divine. A perfect level of strong cardamom uniformly throughout the pastry. The sweetness was perfect to match complex aromas of the cardamom, it was beautiful. They did also have a tap for me to fill up my water bottle, easily accessible by the door. The water was quite tepid, but my friend got water after me, and it was much colder. On the whole, a wonderful bakery, with so many delicious baked goods, truly a sight to behold.

I visited Andersen Bakery craving something sweet. Unfortunately, I came after 4 pm, and almost everything was sold out. Luckily, there was one last rhubarb pastry left—waiting just for me—and I had to have it. It was absolutely delicious, as was the coffee. I’ll definitely try to come earlier next time to taste more of their pastries. Highly recommended!

Wow wow wow. Absolutely loved the food and the coffee. Wish I had a hallow leg to eat more food because every bite was better than the last. Very busy place, and it was a little loud but can still have a conversation. Tables fill up quick so be aware.

We came here a few times, because of the delicious bakery selection and seating. I can say no pastry is a bad pastry here. Matcha iced latte was not great, it was far too milky. Prices are a bit on the high side but worth it.

Wow, this bakery is easily a contender for the best bakery I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot of bakeries. We had the rhubarb croissant and this cinnamon bun. They were insanely delicious! Their pastries are very decadent yet not too sweet, with a nice balance of flavors. If you want a decadent sweet treat, this is definitely the best spot to get it from in Copenhagen. All the other pastries that we didn’t try, looked just as delicious.

A great cafe offering both outstanding pastry and coffee. I tried the cheese pastry and the pitaschio pastry, both tasted awesome. The coffee is also great and reasonably priced. However as a tourists, I hoped they have an English description of the pastry menu. Nevertheless, great cafe for a hearty coffee and breakfast.

Really nice BMO at this place. The cheese was great and the bread equally so. Also had their filter coffee which I really like. Butter was nothing special. You know a BMO is amazing when the bakery brings out the whipped butter. Also didn’t have a customer toilet which kinda sucked

This is a dessert lovers paradise. Pastries, cakes and more. They have so many to choose from. No wonder it gets very busy. The staff were so amazing and helpful in every way. The coffee was good and the cake was delicious. You will come back for more. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Probably the best hot chocolate I have ever had, and it came with a free refill! I was on a mission to find the best cardamom bun in Copenhagen, and the one I had at La Glace was my favourite. Lovely atmosphere, elegant yet friendly. Would be very happy to go back on my next visit!

Hmm cakes are disappointing. They are too sweet for my liking. The only nice touch was the signature cake’s puff (on the side, looking like golden ball) that was coated with layer of caramelised sugar - it provided a crispy texture before you bite into the soft puff. I had the best decadent hot chocolate drink in Melbourne, coco black. So this is just average liquidy drink. The other chocolate toffee pastry was just way too sweet to finish. As what some others have shared, one would expect more for the high price. This didn’t hit the spot for a dessert lover like me. Down the road - Bertels Salon’s cheesecake had better cake texture and well balanced sweetness.

We visited based on all the recommendations and ordered the Sportskage and Georginelagkage. The Sportskage was too sweet and creamy for my taste, but I preferred the Georginelagkage, which was better. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the variety of options. However, I found the cakes themselves to be somewhat ordinary and not particularly unique, especially given their high price. Interestingly, the prices are not listed anywhere, which seems to be a deliberate choice.

Best sportskage and hot chocolate I tried in Copenhagen. Magrethekage also delicious. Was too full to try the cookies which is also very famous. Should definitely do it next time.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I went here with friends on my first night in Copenhagen, and liked every course we had. The tasting menu with the various courses is the way to go. The pasta was good, not great, but definitely not bad either. It was the pork course that really stood out for me, that was some of the best pork I've ever had in my life. We had a shared table with some local Danish people and they were a lot of fun, very welcoming and easy to talk to. I'd definitely come back here for the fun atmosphere, good service, and satisfying food.

The staff were very warm and friendly and the food was delicious. I got the menu set and I appreciate that they let you order that as a solo dine. Most places require two or more people. With a snack, bread, 3 apps, pasta and an entree for ~330dkk it was a deal. My favorite was definitely the fresh made mozzarella and the octopus salad.

Beautiful place. I have lovely moment in the first morning in Copenhagen trip. The interior is clearly original sense. All curated wall, sealing, chair, table, lamp, and green are mixed well. The dishes are very delicious. You must try brioche, and big morning plate included jam and cheese. That was Top 3 breakfast I had ever.

I was curious about this place since I had visited Relae a few years back and it was one of the best experience I ever had and I still remembered the sourdough bread which was one of the best sourdough bread I had eaten in my life. So I was very excited to see what they had on offer. The place seems more like a small bistro. There is an intimate atmosphere and you can see what is going on in the bakery which is very cool. We ordered the Scambled Egg (with the Nduja butter) and Sourdough Bread, the Beef Tartare and a Granita with the Brioche Col Tuppo. The scrambled egg was great, creamy, tasty, just perfect. I had high expectations for the bread and although it was good, it wasn’t as good as I remembered from Relae. The Tartare was amazing and one of the best tartare I ever had. It has great taste but also very nice texture with crunchiness in it which is quite unusual, but makes the experience so much better. I would definitely recommend that Tartare. To finish, I had heard great things about the Brioche and was excited to try it, unfortunately, it was very average. I think briche is one thing italian’s have never mastered. I tastes ok, but it’s just that… an almost bland brioche.

The food was nice and the service was lovely. The flavours were great. The tartar was my favourite. We had two pastas as well which were good but not amazing. Overall was a great experience. I love how the bathroom has a secondary door to make it extra private.

One of the most reliably delicious bakeries in Copenhagen! Their kanelsnurre is my all time favourite, ESPECIALLY when it is fresh from the oven- the sugar caramelises in way that is addictive and perfectly balanced with the dough. I would also recommend their foccacia and madbrød which I’ve had in the past. The staff are always really nice and helpful too. My favourite way to enjoy is by taking a nice long walk through Assistens after you purchase :)

If you happen to get a cardamon bun fresh hot out the oven it'll be the best you ever tasted. They have many other treats (sweet and savory) unique to their bakery too.

Cute little bakery, which feels a bit like a basement since it's a couple of steps under street level. The cinnamon roll that I took looked great and was still fresh even though it was already late in the afternoon. It was tasty but not as outstanding as other pastries that I've had in the city. I had the impression the cinnamon was not very well distributed, which made some parts of the bun a bit sweeter than others. It's a pity they only offer filtered coffee and no steamed-milk variants. There is no space for indoor seating, but you can enjoy your coffee standing at the counter.

The small bread rolls (for example sesame seeds) made my German wife happy and reminded me of eating a NY sesame bagel. The cinnamon roll and poppyseed pastry great as well. We went here 2-3x during our stay in Copenhagen Nørrebro.

Sooo good, we went back for more. In fact, it’s one of the only spots that we visited TWICE on our trip to Copenhagen. I can safely guarantee that we’ll be dreaming of our pastries & drinks for years to come. Highly recommend.

This spot is a must for danish brunch and lunch. The menu is simple, vegetarian and very delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit hectic. The queue can last for around 15 minutes outside of the café. But it is definitely worth the wait. Some long tables are meant to be shared among customers, so if you don't like the idea of sitting right next to a stranger then this place might not be for you. I would recommend to get a warm apple juice with cinnamon, it is very comforting. Right inside the café there is a design shop that sells items used in the decoration of the café!

We visited this lovely little bakery yesterday — everything was so cozy and beautifully presented. The pastries were absolutely delicious, freshly made and full of flavor. They only serve filter coffee, which was nice, but we would have loved to see a bit more variety on the coffee menu. Other than that, everything was perfect! ☕🥐

There is nothing to dislike about this place (except maybe the prices)! I love that it pairs with the Frama design store where they even sell the cups and plates the restaurant uses. I absolutely love the vibes in here. I would have stayed all day if possible! I ordered the savory waffle and the danish. The filtered coffee was really good too! If you only go to one cafe while you’re in town, make it this place.

Waited 45 minutes which was not worth what we got in the end. Even though we finally got a table we were then told to go to the counter and place our order which altogether was another long wait. The bread was great but cheese was dried out and pastries not as good as other places otherwise meals were very simple. I gave it the 3 stars for the ambiance and staff who were very sweet despite all the people queuing up.

However the cardamom bun I had barely tasted like cardamom, it just was sweet bread, I couldn’t even bring myself to finish it because it was so dry and bland. The coffee was good tho. Newly opened and very cute interior. Only filter coffee and nothing too special about the quality pastries 🥐 good bread, pastries etc. I was happy for the owners seeing a long line of people. Similar bakeries like this are in the rest of Copenhagen, but only one in that area. I hope they evolve, have a bathroom soon and a better bike ramp. Would be so nice to have them long term there

3,5* We had high expectations of this bakery after reading the reviews but the experience was underwhelming. The place is really small as well as the variety of pastry. We wanted to buy bread but decided to not to as it didn’t look appealing. We tried cinnamon a kardamome buns - very strong flavour in both. Good but not spectacular. No bathroom. Only filtered coffee. Disappointing experience due to high reviews and expectations.

Well, it was a bit late, around 2:30, so some products were sold out. But we were lucky to have some things to eat there. Well, the bakery is very small and there are only 2 seats; no plates or fork or knife for eating. But the taste was good and I liked that; it was a bit too expensive but it was ok! Sure you can find cheaper in city.

This bakery is absolutely incredible - we tried 4 items and each one was its own distinct delight. ~ 10 seats inside and there will be a line, wait in it - you would be a fool to do otherwise. Great coffee, lovely staff who were happy to describe the items in English, despite the busyness. We came for the cardamom bun, which was everything we hoped for, but the raspberry & poppyseed pastries were even better! Got back in line for a pumpkin seeded roll - snacked on it all day - heaven!

Finally got to try this bakery, the oldest in Copenhagen! We went by on an afternoon, so unfortunately a lot of products were already sold out, but still got the chance to try their cinnamon roll (still warm!) and a couple of pastries (the one in the picture is with pistacchio). Really nice texture, especially the cinnamon roll, not too dry, chewy and moist, really nice! They have just a couple of seats and tables, might get crowded very soon, also no “proper” cups for coffees, just to go paper cups, be aware. Also congratulations on the Børsen Gazelle ･ᴗ･

It’s funny — before coming to Copenhagen we heard about 2–3 popular bakeries, but we had never seen this one mentioned anywhere. We actually found it by chance while passing by, decided to step in, and ended up coming back every single day after that :) We tried almost all of the pastries you see in my photos, and every single one was delicious. As a pistachio lover, I was blown away by the pistachio pastry — the best I’ve had since Italy. Honestly, the big-name bakeries with multiple branches in Copenhagen don’t compare to this place. A true hidden gem!

Overall: best pastries I've had in Copenhagen. The pastries were so tasty, I had to go a second time! Unfortunately my almond croissant on the second time was burnt but all the other pastries were good. The space is tight so it's not much of a sit down place and I personally was not a fan of the latte (not much flavour in the coffee).

I tried the cinnamon roll and the Danish pastry, and they were so delicious that I went back again on Wednesday morning. There was almost no wait during my first visit, but the second time I waited about 20–30 minutes. Everything was great — especially the Danish pastry, which I highly recommend!

One of the best bakeries I've eaten from. The pastries are divine. Tried their crispy cinnamon rolls, sausage roll, salami pizza, cardamom bun, one of the croissants with almonds on top chai latte and espresso.

The pistachio and chocolate croissant is hands down my favorite pastry from here. There's usually a little bit of a line, but that depends on what time you go. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. There isn’t much seating inside, so it’s mostly takeaway, but I recommend enjoying your treats in Ørstedparken. Also, heads-up: the almond croissant I had was a little dry and burnt, so I’d probably skip that one.

Super overhyped. The positive reviews of this place don’t reflect the reality that there are just much better bakeries in Copenhagen and other capital cities, even in Asia, that this place cannot hold a candle to. Pastries are a far cry from what I’ve tasted even in the far east. What a disappointment. They lack the finesse and care that go into the best bakeries. Croissants are surprisingly soggy and the crusts lack the crisp structure you are promised when you close your eyes and imagine what to expect when you see the unjustified lines outside. Even upon sight of the almond croissant, you can tell something is just mid about everything. It’s not a disaster, but it’s just fine, normal and nothing to shout about. The cardamom brioche smells of a wonderful warming embrace, and the scent fills you with the anticipation of the perfume to fill your mouth, but the texture and slight sogginess of the pastry itself just lets that wonderful aroma down. Maybe the pastries just need to be toasted freshly before you tuck in. The coffee is weak and lacks any body. But they use good quality milk that salvages some of the experience. There are plentiful other cafes and coffee shops to get a better caffeine fix. The saving grace was the charming and pleasant team of young adults who run this place who are polite, have easy smiles and are never flustered despite the long queues that from outside at times.

This is another must-visit spot when you’re in Copenhagen. The bakery offers a variety of delicious pastries, especially their croissants. Unfortunately, when I visited, the pistachio croissants weren’t ready yet. It’s a small shop with limited seating, but if you come early enough in the morning, you might still find a place to sit. Most people tend to grab their pastries to go.

Buka is a nice bakery with friendly staff and good pastries. I had an almond croissant (great) and a lemond cardamom bun (also great). In a city of great bakeries Buka sits comfortably among one of the higher tiers in my opinion.

I ordered a pistachio croissant and coffee. It was delicious, there was a lot of filling in the croissant. I was pleasantly surprised that the line moved quickly + there were free tables inside. However, the attitude of the staff seemed a bit condescending to me. In addition, the waiter did not announce the amount of my change or where to get cutlery.

Hart was one of the bakeries we wanted to visit while in Copenhagen. The bakery has good reviews and we were excited to taste and test it out. Seattle now has world class bakeries and we were hoping this one will be good or better. We tried a sausage roll, chocolate croissant, quiche, raspberry tart and cardamom croissant. Most notable was the raspberry croissant. The rest were greasy and lacking the quality of a French bakery. Unfortunately, the quality and creativity were lacking. The sausage tasted like a greasy cheap burger shop product. Realize they have a good following of customers, so maybe you should try them out while in Copenhagen or you are discovering Copenhagen.

A great spot for something sweet and a good coffee. They offer a nice variety of pastries, and the cardamom bun stands out as especially tasty. . There are also options with different flavors, like rhubarb, which were also quite good.

These are the best pastries I’ve ever tried. The croissant was so flaky. The eggs were nicely seasoned. The coffee quality is excellent. I find myself craving this place since coming back from Copenhagen

Very cosy cafe very close to the central station. We were there at peak busyness on Sunday, so there was quite a wait to order, but food was outstanding and coffee was tasty. Lots of seating and nooks to chill in.

OMG! This year I made a New Year’s resolution to visit 50 new bakeries. Rug Bakery was #31, and so far it's one of the best. The pastry I got was amazing, also good coffee, and a charming atmosphere. Highly recommend! I wish I lived nearby... I would come here all the time.

Tucked inside what looks like a fairly corporate hotel, this Danish bakery is actually a cool, design-led gem. It balances polished interiors with a bit of edge. The folded eggs are insanely good—rich, buttery, and best with a side of bacon (well worth the extra). Espresso was strong and spot-on, orange juice freshly squeezed, and the cinnamon pastry? Unreal. A brilliant breakfast spot that feels both refined and relaxed. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Copenhagen.

Enter Rug to find pastries and baked goods lining the displays, the welcoming scent of warm bread and coffee and be greeted by the friendly stuff. We frequented Rug on several occasions during our stay as we found our minds wandering back to the cosy yet fashionable cafe. An excellent spot for a good date with a book.

Great food & atmosphere. They have matcha latte 🍵 The pastries taste very good, and they have “bikinis”, a ham & cheese toastie (in Barcelona we call them “biquini” as well, but the type of cheese & the bread was was excellent here, I think it’s brioche bread).

Good bakery shop at the heart of the city in Copenhagen. It is in front of the Frederik's Church- one of the main attractions in city, so it is hard to miss. It is quite small but we liked their pastry, they had good amount of options. I recommend the cinnamon pastry, it was delicious 👍🏼 The coffee was okay, not that special.

I came here after watching The Bear and I’m so glad I did! All of their pastries look amazing and the one I tried (cinnamon bun) was absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you love great pastries.

A good bakery chain in the city that offers freshly baked buns and pastries. I’ve been there several times, and everything was delicious - it just melts in your mouth. The coffee is good, including the filter options. It’s usually quite small and crowded, so the best option is to grab your order to go.

A must stop if in Copenhagen , Hart Bakery was one of the highlights of our trip . The croissants were incredible flaky, buttery, and fresh. All the baked goods were top quality, and the cozy atmosphere made it even better. A must-visit for amazing pastries!

Such an incredibly aesthetic and beautifully decorated café! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and every detail feels thoughtfully designed. The coffee was truly delicious, and they also had the cutest products for sale — perfect for gifts. Definitely a place worth visiting again! ☕

The pastries here are incredible. I loved the cardamom croissant so much, I wish I had gone back for a second one before leaving Copenhagen. Prices were high, but for a treat it’s worth it! This location is very convenient near major tourist attractions, but there’s no seating, just two small benches outside.

Loved their pastries AND coffee!!! we went in around 5pm so their signature pastry was sold out but other bread/pastries were so yummy! More importantly, their drip coffee was so good (better than other places) that I ended up purchasing the Prolog beans! ☕️

Savoury pastry (40DKK) I was actually asking for another pastry (with onion, parmesan, and mushroom) but somehow got this one with spinach and feta. My fault for not realising until much later. A lot of people recommended Rondo’s savoury pastry to me but this one was just decent. It is nice to finally try out non-sweet pastry in Copenhagen for sure, however the spinach tasted weird cold and feta made the pastry soggy. I can’t help but feel like I should have asked for BMO or focaccia sandwich instead. Cinammon roll (35DKK) Very flaky pastries compared to the sweet bun version (more like a bread than pastry) I usually eat. I did find it a bit too sweet, though Rondo’s version had an interesting lemon twist to this classic pastry. It was nice, but not something I would repurchase.

Visited in April 2025. We tried the Cakenhagen cake, træstamme, espresso and cortado. The cake selection was nice, the cakes looked great and tasted good, but not as good as you'd expect based on how they look. The coffee was delicious though. Service was fine and the place is very nice. Overall, I'd be happy to stop by again next time I'm in Tivoli, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Later edit: visited again and tried the Tivoli cake and the lemon pie. Both were rather disappointing. I think I'll stick to admiring the looks of the Cakenhagen cakes from now on, since they look beautiful, but the taste and texture don't live up to expectations for me.

We always frequent this place everytime we are in Tivoli. Can get quite crowded inside during the winter time. The Mine is always a delight to eat and the Hibiscus tea is nice for the warm days. Not the cheapest but always worth the visit. Servers are often friendly and will always bring your orders to the table.

We visited Cakenhagen, Tivoli Gardens on 19 Sep 2025 after dinner and were lucky to be served by Maryanne. She went above and beyond to get us a table for three, set up a cozy indoor spot, and made my husband’s birthday extra special by bringing the cake I had reserved with a candle. It’s okay bakery in Østerbro with pretty pastries, but I am not a fan of such dough so fastelavnsboller were good but not something I’d want again. Blackcurrant one unfortunately didn’t have this real intense berry taste. Hot chocolate was a bit weird on taste, didn’t like it as expected. Maybe other pastries there are amazing but I tried only 2 fastelavnsboller. There are some seatings inside but no bathroom as it’s quite small

Super delicious. Although it’s a bit expensive I feel like it’s worth paying for the meticulous and delicate work that goes into their products. We tried the fastelavns bolle, as well as one of their lemon merengue cakes. Both were great, but since I am a big fan of citrusy desserts, the lemon takes the first price. I really found the outside of the fastelavnsbolle super interesting. It was like one big macaron, but crunchier and chewier. Great place for a pricey coffee date, and that’s not meant in a negative way. I mean it is expensive, but you also get some quality stuff. I enjoyed it a lot

A wonderful surprise! We stopped by on a whim and tried their version of a fastelavnsbolle with rhubarb. It was incredible!! The cappuccino was also very good and the staff was kind. Highly recommend.

I found this pastry shop on the visitcopenhagen page and finally the last day we went. It is a MUST in my opinion. The place is amazing, the cookies are super tasty and lovely. Take your time, get a capuccino and get on with all the little biscuits you can eat.

What a little hidden gem in Copenhagen! The pastries were out of the world so as the Chai Latte! Staffs are so friendly and nice. Everything was done to perfection. The perfect bakery cafe, especially for vegans/people with dietary restrictions! I came here as a regular for a quick vegan pastry or to come and read and get a coffee with a friend. All the drinks and menu items are so high quality. Every server was so friendly and loved talking to them! They had the best pastries ever, not an exaggeration. As someone who is allergic to dairy and eggs, I so so appreciated Kaf and their amazing pastries. Also, every person I took here said it was their new favorite cafe/bakery, and in cph, that is saying something!

What a lovely vegan gem in Copenhagen! An understated but stylish little cafe with a delightful selection of beautiful pastries and small dishes, plus a wide variety of hot and cold drinks. This is a fantastic vegan cafe! I really enjoyed chilling under the tree and having delicious food. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The menu is wholesome. The place has inside and outside seating: right next to the cafe or across the street and under a tree, which was lovely. It's located in a quiet area and it's a laptop and tablet free zone, which is refreshing to see. I had a toastie, matcha latte, and because I couldn't decide for desserts and everything looked delicious, I had the cheesecake and the strawberry tart. Everything was delicious but I must say, that strawberry tart is dreamy, super super awesome. I highly recommend visiting this place when you're in Copenhagen.

HEY GUY!! It’s me again, this time from Copenhagen. This little coffee spot really took our hearts 💕 STAFF - the staff was really nice, both girls were speaking fluent English and were so helpful. FOOD - they use just the premium coffee so that was really refreshing ✨also homemade cakes - cheesecakes. There not so many options with baked good but still, I think everyone will find something that suits them 🤍

This was the absolute highlight of our Copenhagen trip - good coffee, and absolutely amazing pastries and bread. The rhubarb pistachio pastry, the strawberry croissant and the pain au chocolat especially stood out among the sweet treats, while the cheesecakes didn't really blow us away. They also have sourdough bread rolls, which were so good we had to get another one. While there are only a few seats inside, there is plenty of outdoor seating in front of the store and under the trees across the street, which was quite nice. But beware of the pigeons ;)

So much of what passes for GF in baking is functional, rather than tasty, but even to this non GF pastry lover, the quality and taste of the baked food was excellent. Dedicated gluten free bakery- perfect for coeliac! Very cute little bakery- tried a few things: Mocha cake was insanely delicious, creamy but not heavy such great texture and flavour! Also had the pain au chocolate which wasn’t my favourite… the brownie was very rich almost fudgy Tried a date and cardamom bread swirl which wasn’t quite dense but very nice flavour- made me wish I had bought some proper bread from there as the texture was excellent!

I found this amazing gluten free bakery by chance, thanks to the recommendation of another bakery that was closed when I contacted them. The treatment I received since the very beginning was close and kind. And their products are amazingly good. They have a wide offer of breads and pastries that look delicious. And all they I could try was so good that made me travel in time back to when I could eat gluten, more than 23 years ago. I think the almost permanent long line they have at the door to get their products says it all. Don’t worry for the line, they have enough for everybody!

Huge choice of vegan options is great. I ordered a slice of banana bread, it was extremely good & a generous portion. They charge extra for oat milk in my coffee & it tasted over heated (aka not good). Lots of space & seating. The labelling of ingredients is helpful (vegan & milk intolerant) & my friend was avoiding gluten. They even had vegan fastelavn bolle.

We had a wonderful birthday gathering at this backery. They make their own bread daily and tastes 🤩!! Staffs are friendly, the backery is spacious and cozy for friends gather together especially on a sunny day with big windows opening by the sidewalk!

Very rude staff. I have an allergy and the staff did not want to listen to me or tell me what was in the food even after I told them. Maybe it’s due to the fact that I am foreigner. The pastry is stale and the cappuccino subpar. The staff is also not cleaning the tables, half the tables had used plates on top and it was difficult to find a spot. Also extra charge for non dairy milk cappuccino is really like greedy to another level, for example at Meyers bageri (with or without dairy option) it’s the same price and it’s much better.

Lovely service and yummy pastries! Sadly they didn't have anymore kanelsnegl that I've been craving for (it was Sunday afternoon) but the wienerbrod and mandlerkage definitely made our evening cosy too 😊👍

FYI - the location changed in the spring of 2018 to a much larger shop just around the corner with loads of seating and direct sunlight. The bread and pastries are excellent, and so are the sandwiches, pizzas and drinks. Good simple options for brunch and lunch. It's hands down the best weekend breakfast option in the neighborhood - little wait and good seating. Compare that to hip Mad & Kaffe a block away where you wait for an hour in between two cars to sit in the shade with a blanket in the middle of summer. That's where Det Rene Brod used to be and they made a smart move. Two small points to work on: understaffed on weekend mornings (tables not cleared, missing dishes) and they run out of rundstykke med birkes by 10:00. I don't care much but it drives my Danish girlfriend crazy. 🤷‍♂️ Edit: came back two weeks later to a fully stocked rundstykke basket and staff on hand clearing tables. 👍👍

Absolutely delicious breakfast / brunch restaurant in the center of Copenhagen. It is popular, so it is likely that you'll have to put your name to the list and queue outside for a while. The menu incorporates the Polish origin of the owners and blends inspirations from the kitchens of the world, taking you to Turkey, middle east or South America. We loved everything on the menu - probably Turkish Cilbir being the star of the brunch, but deconstructed breakfast burrito or shakshuka (called sekshuka at seks) were great aswell. The bread is freshly baked and you can get some appetizers with polish spread or with cheese and pickles (ask for the "illegal" ketchup version).

Love love love this little jewel of a place, one of my favourites in Copenhagen for sure. Love the story of the owner, the choices for the menu and the atmosphere, so warm vibrant and welcoming. They always have the best selection of drinks and beverages.

We went to the cafe on Sunday for breakfast but the queue was out the door around to the side street. The girls working there didn't want to look up or greet people while they were busy and no wait list or anything you can get on so no way to know how long the wait was when the staff didn't want to talk to anyone. We left and gone to the Social Brew close by. As the cafe was less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel, we stopped by again on Monday to see if we can get a table for breakfast. You get the menu from the courter and ordered there and go find available table. The food was good but a little small, we had 3 dishes to shared between the 2 of us.

I first visited a year ago, and my experience this time was quite similar. The service wasn’t great, probably because they seem understaffed – too many customers for them to really go the extra mile and be kind. The food, though 🤩 On Thursday, I tried the mango lassi to go (though served in a plastic cup). On Friday, I had the scrambled eggs – good, but nothing special. The gzik was pretty good, the chai was delicious, and the surprise cheesecake was also a nice treat. On Saturday, I went for the smørrebrød with salmon, which I really enjoyed. The avocado lemonade was also delicious.

The best pain au chocolat I have ever had! Beautifully laminated, satisfying crunch with a soft interior and a rich, dark chocolate spread. This bakery works love and magic into their croissants getting both the softness and crunchy flakiness that makes for the most delicious pastry! Definitely worth repeated visits!

Some of the best baked goods I’ve ever had! The Kringle was divine and the cardamom bun left me wondering why I only bought one.

The products are good — I especially loved the cinnamon roll. But the almond croissant was really bad; I think they should remove the orange flavor from the cream. The apple-walnut one was also very nice. The breads were overproofed and too flat, but their color and baking level were good. The atmosphere outside is terrible — it feels like eating a croissant in a sci-fi movie. Inside, though, it’s nice.

If you’re nearby, it’s worth stopping in to try their bakes, but like with any busy bakery, quality can vary depending on timing and the day.

Delicious pastries and great coffee. It's a small bakery, so there's not much sitting place inside or outside. There's plenty of space in the park (alongside the slot) just across the road. So it's really easy to get everything as takeaway. It's really busy on weekend mornings so just be patient in the queue, it's well worth it.

I tried their other branch on Frederiksgade and had to come to this one too, since I think this is the branch they filmed for The Bear. The pastries here are just as amazing, beautifully made and absolutely delicious! I tried the Fig Tart and it just melted in your mouth. I can’t wait to bring my partner here next time. We saw the highest rated bakery on TripAdvisor (a rival review site) was real close to our hostel, so we got on our merry way to check it out. We also saw there was a higher rated bakery on Google maps right next to it (Andersen Bakery). I decided to pit the two against each other with the two most important features of a danish bakery, their cardamom signature pastry, and if they filled up water for free. The cardamom croissant I got from Hart Bakery was unfortunately quite overcooked. This made it quite crunchy, not really what you want. The cardamom flavour was very subtle too, quite weak. I did get a coffee, and it was quite nice, nothing special, but I had to wait quite a while for it. They did fill my water bottle with ice cold water for free, which is absolutely lovely. My friends had pastries from here, and enjoyed them, but all agreed my cardamom croissant wasn't up to scratch.

Great place to get/have breakfast! It can get very busy and there is not a lot of (indoor) seating but the staff works fast and the pastries are very good. They are large but very light and layered. I very much recommend the chocolate milk

Almost 5*! The buns were incredible. One star down for the coffee - poor taste. We came around 45 mins before closing time and they still had wide selection of pastry. Only bread and buns were sold out. Nice staff. No toilet. Bad coffee, otherwise, great place and will come back to try more. :)

The best cardamom and cinnamon buns I had during my month in Copenhagen. Get there early for fresh buns — they’re best when warm, basically melt in your mouth! Coffee is solid, and their bread is delicious as well. Outdoor seating only.

Came close to closing to try the cinnamon and cardamom rolls. They did not disappoint but are no Juno. That being said, they are cheaper. They gave us two extra rolls because they were closing soon so very much appreciated!

AMAZING service. The woman working yesterday (Saturday) was so kind to us and took so much time with us as nervous/unknowledgeable tourists to explain the different pastries offered in the bakery. Also, given how expensive bakeries are in Copenhagen, Galst was much more affordable and frankly DELICIOUS!

We booked the buffet by mistake trying to book the buffet for banegarden, but it was a good experience anyways. The boiled eggs, baked tomatoes and pancakes were out favorites. We asked for coffee outside the buffet menu, it was a bit too milky but good! Booking there is always a good choice cause you can find the place a bit crowded sometimes. We will come back if we are around sydhavn again.

It is a wonderful cafe space hidden in Copenhagen. I tasted Americano and was impressed by how delicious it was.

Disappointed. We were supposed to eat brunch there and wanted to sit outside. The outdoor area seems nice at first sight, but most tables were dirty, either from previous morning guests or with pizza boxes and beer cans from the evening before probably. I had to clean the table myself since I couldn't get in touch with the staff - everyone was too busy. We later decided to drop the brunch because of the a-bit-too-chaotic experience (though the buffet looked great) and to take something to go. The same person taking orders at the counter was preparing them (including cutting buns and buttering them) so it was not particularly efficient. You could tell the staff was a bit under pressure. We got pastry and buns with cheese that tasted good.

Extremely cosy bakery in the midst of a nice Green area. We were 8 people and we didn’t have a booking and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. I really liked their coffee (a bit more pricey than Copenaghen average) but extremely flavoursome. The baked goods were all really good. I loved the apple and cinnamon pastry tart. It was flakey and buttery! Cannot wait to come back when the weather is warmer to get breakfast outside

Super cozy place. Hidden gem in the middle of busy Copenhagen. Started with a Cappuccino and croissant and then had to try the pizza too. Did not regret anything. Would definitely come back.

Very nice place but clueless staff. If you’re happy to wait 45+ minutes for food the courtyard/garden is very nice, but every time we’ve been here it has been a really frustrating experience.

What a wonderful little place! On the water of one of the canals,it offers a great variety of breakfast options. We took the yogurt and granola which was very delicate and the salmon on bread which was great. The coffee was good and so was the beetroot juice. We sat outside on a beautiful day,magical!

One of the nicest breakfasts we tried in Copenhagen. Large amounts of food. Fresh raw materials. Very tasty. And very nice coffee!! 👌🏻The place is very cozy with nice wooden tables and special paintings around the walls where you sit and want to stare at them. The service is somehow self service. You order and pay at the counter, but there is the possibility that the waitress will bring it to the table where you are sitting. It is possible to reserve a table before arrival if you wish. Also, on the outside side of the store, there is the possibility to park your vehicle, if it is a bicycle, in the closed space available. The staff is very smiling and helpful in all our questions. Bitten prices for Greece, we paid for a rich breakfast and a coffee about 25-30€/person. However, I recommend it, it's worth trying!

I’ve known this place for over 5 years, back when it was called Queen’s Delight and operated in a smaller space. The quality remains exceptional, and the new location adds a cozy seating area by the windows. It’s very popular with families and is notably kid-friendly. Delicious and varied eclairs in a pleasant setting—highly recommended!

Very tasty cakes and amazing-looking place. You can choose from larger or smaller portions of cakes, which is good as you can taste more. Coffee is good. The only problem is that it's a small space, and outside there are only 2 tables. Be careful when sitting outside as somebody is dropping cigarettes from above.

Finally got to taste their eclairs and I was not disappointed. I got the pistaccio (my favourite), chocolate and hazelnut, and tiramisu. A lot of texture and flavour. A nice option for a different kind of pastry in Copenhagen. I can definitely recommend and will be going back soon to try the other flavours. The cafe itself looks very nice and cozy, the person working there was also very kind.

I loved the idea of offering mini éclairs—it was such a great way to enjoy a variety of flavors even when dining alone. Each éclair wasn’t overly sweet, and I could really taste the distinct flavors, which made me so happy. The server also did a wonderful job explaining each one. The coffee “flat white” quality wasn’t perfect with the éclairs that day, but I imagine it might have just been a one-time thing. Overall, it was a delightful experience.

Beautiful little eclair specialty shop in the middle of Copenhagen. If you want freshly made pastries this is the shop to go to🍰 I LOVE the praline & hazelnut eclair🤤 but the tiramisu and lemon are also favorites of mine - honestly they’re all so good. I love coming here to eat but the eclairs are perfect for taking as gifts or buying in bulk for gatherings! Owned my the sweetest couple, would recommend to anyone🌸

What a beautiful little place we stumbled upon today! Stopped for a Pistachio and Salted Caramel Eclair as well as a Cortado and Hot Chocolate. Perfect decore and nice dishes. Everything tastes delicious and definitely recommend. Classy and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

This is one cafe that has a very homey feel. We were served by the owner herself. Since it was our first time, she recommended we try the Danish pastry and we also got a croissant. The croissant was average and probably would have tasted better if it had been warmed up. The pastry was very good, although a bit too sweet for my taste. We also got hot cocoa and a latte that were just the perfect temperature and sweetness. The location is right next to Nyhavn, so it's a perfect place to stop at when sightseeing. This was also one of the few places that was open early in the morning. Many of the other breakfast places didn't open until 10 or 11am, at least during the winter.

Very nice place for a coffee, calm atmosphere with wifi to sit and work at the computer. The place is small but should not be busy. They bake most of their cakes a d breads. Also we got a free refill of coffee. We tried both the standard and the American coffee but they look the same thing.

This place is amazing! We are vacationing from the U.S. to see family. We have been bakery hoping to find the best pastry- Kingle. This. Is. THE. place! I kid you not. Plus the workers speak English well enough for me to feel confident I was getting the right selection. I even tried something else too. Kartoffelkage... oh how I loved it! Don’t fall for the sweets on the showcase. Not recommended at all. They say toilet/wc is not working. Probably a big lie, because in all reviews, it’s been said toilet always not working. Impossible and unacceptable for own customers. Additionally, the cashiers are not smiling, unlike Danishes.

We had the latte and the almond cream pastries which were excellent. The servers were very friendly and helped us choose. Would love to visit again. The pastry was flaky and delicious.

I had the lemon curd mini tart and I enjoyed it, however i think the tart had too much whipped cream and I’m not a big fan. All in all, nice experience

Great experience with staff. 2 young students and both were sweet and honest. As a diabetic I am choosey what I eat, the young man was so honest in his opinions and recommended a less sweeter cookie. The young lady also made a recommendation on what she thought was a good option. My stop for scones ended up more than expected.

Cupcakes were delicious, but they are NOT vegan. My wife is lactose intolerant, and after the first bite her stomach began to hurt. So really a shame that you advice it as vegan, when it is not. That brings the final experience down, unfortunately

Really amazing staff and ambiance, the place is just lovely and adorable 🤗. Donuts were yummy 🍩 and the cupcakes as well 🧁, I tried like 4 of them as they were looking crazy good and couldn't help it:) I felt like the cupcake were a bit dry, but the frostings were absolutely delicious!! I loved the fact that they had halloween/autumn themed sweets last time I went there 🎃. And the staff was nice and friendly at all times I've been there, makes you feel really welcomed:) 🥰

We had a very good cinnamon bun in the morning and it was still slightly warm. Lots of butter on the bottom, squishy and soft. Delicious flavour from the added lemon peel and butter but it was a tad greasy which I’m not sure is like other cinnamon buns. Still great. Takeaway only as it’s in the market hall.

We tried out the focaccia which was very oily, and cold. Probably not the best that could be. Not sure how fresh actually was. The staff member was friendly and answered few questions, however the serving process is quite slow, and the waiting time is high around lunch time.

I certainly understand that this bakery would like to rid itself of burnt and not-fit-for consumption products, however, selling them at full price to my unsuspecting wife is probably not the best way to do so. If your employee sees the bread is burnt, why package it and hand it to a customer?

Our visit to this restaurant was highly disappointing. The orange juice tasted awful, as though it was made from spoiled oranges. The fatteh was completely off and tasted nothing like an authentic fatteh. When we requested extra empty plates for sharing, it was incredibly difficult to explain our need. After much effort, they gave us a plastic box cover instead of proper plates, which we found unacceptable. We also wanted a man’oushe jebneh with sojouk, but they told us we’d need to pay an additional 20 kr, making it cost 60 kr. Instead, we ordered a pizza sojouk without tomato sauce for 50 kr, which felt like a workaround for their poor menu flexibility. Sa7en khodra was a disaster. The olives were dry and shriveled, the onions looked old and stale, and the overall quality was unacceptable. The restaurant's organization was chaotic, and the hygiene was appalling. Everything, from the tables to the orange juice squeezing machine, was dirty and unclean. The lack of cleanliness was highly concerning and ruined our appetite. Overall, this was a dreadful experience. Poor service, bad food, and unacceptable hygiene standards make this a place we will never visit again. A big NO from us! Reply: It’s honestly frustrating that instead of taking my feedback seriously and looking into what went wrong, you’re accusing me of being dishonest. I shared my experience exactly as it happened because I believe constructive feedback is important, but it seems like you’re more interested in denying it than actually addressing the issues. If this is how you handle negative feedback, it says a lot about the kind of service you provide.

Best place for Palestinian foods in Denmark. The prices are also affordable. Taste is amazing.

As a non-local, there was some confusion as to how to order and receive our food. However, i love the local neighbourhood atmosphere and the food itself was very cheap for the huge amounts we got. I wish i had enough room for their desserts!

My go to place for an authentic, big, delicious, and affordable Lebanese breakfast. We always take visitors there and they love it too. The portions are big, the food is fresh, the service is pretty much self service yet fast, and they also have Levantine desserts. It’s beautiful, I always skip lunch after I go there. I recommend their Fatte, feels home made and it’s as authentic as it can get. Manouche is high tier as well. They also make fresh knefe 🤤 hummus, fool, fatayer, all well done. It’s an experience, truly.

I recently visited Ali Bageri and left with mixed feelings — but overall, I’d say it’s worth a try. The food is great: fresh, flavorful, generous portions, and the prices are very reasonable. You really get your money’s worth there. However, the service wasn’t the strongest point. It felt a bit slow and a little disorganized — sometimes it takes effort just to get attention and it feels like the staff is rushing you to finish your order. But the food performance almost makes up for it, and for people who prioritize taste and value over perfect service, Ali Bageri hits the mark. If you go there, come hungry. And maybe set expectations low for staff attentiveness, but high for what ends up on your plate.

This is without any doubt the best place to have breakfast or brunch in Copenhagen. Everything is fresh and has the best of flavours. The staff is incredibly friendly and despite the odd entrance through a parking lot, the place is well organised and has everything you could need inside. I welcome you to try the Humus and Fatah which are by far my favourite dishes here. Enjoy the flavours!

Perfection! We ate many different sweet treats and one savory tart here and all were amazing. Super fresh, tasty and delicious. Really friendly service that was very efficient. We dined inside (which was lovely and cosy) but there was plenty of seating outside also. Great location with lovely views to just relax and enjoy.

An excellent bakery Everything is homemade and delicious, my favorite will be their sandwiches, the bread they use is really one of the best breads I’ve ever tasted in terms of texture and flavor. Personally Food: the pastries and cake are generally good with right sweetness and some unique take to the traditional danish pastries. The prices are on a higher end of bakeries but not super expensive. Plenty of drinks selection to choose from. They have some water/garden and indoor seating. Service is good. 2 things to improve: 1. the speed of service, time is precious, its not fun to use substantial time lining up on a weekend morning, especially when one is also paying for parking 😔 2. Presentationg of the pastries need improvement, they look almost burned/ overcooked and unappetizing even in the morning…

An absolute gem of a place! Was recommended by friends living in the city. We came on our last morning in Copenhagen and had the amazing famous cardamom bun / croissant and picked many other things including the lemon poppy seed cake. Wow. What great pasties, bread and baked goods. Everything was perfect and went so well with a cappuccino! The staff were incredible too! Definitely coming back!

Many branches throughout the city but this was the one visited by the TV series The Bear. Pastries are very nicely done and the cardamom croissant is one of the nicest one I’ve tried in Copenhagen. When the weather is good, the alfresco seating area by the waters is really nice. There are even some deck chairs just by the side of the water’s edge. Worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Hart Bakery was gem during our time in Copenhagen. The croissants were some of the best we’ve ever had perfectly flaky, buttery, and full of flavour. Every pastry and baked item looked and tasted incredible. The cozy, relaxed vibe made it the perfect stop for breakfast or a mid-morning treat. Easily one of the highlights of our trip and a must-visit for anyone who loves great pastries

Hart has become a Copenhagen institution, and it’s easy to see why. They’ve got several locations around the city, and no matter which one you go to, the quality is consistent. Their style leans more toward laminated and flaky pastries, and they really nail it. The croissants and other layered pastries are buttery, crisp, and just really well made. I also enjoyed their cinnamon roll, which had a nice balance of sweetness and texture. Beyond pastries, their breads are excellent too, with a depth of flavor that shows the care they put into fermentation. The coffee is solid as well, making it a good all-around stop whether you’re after breakfast or just a quick pastry and coffee. The shops themselves feel modern but approachable, and it’s clear the focus is on the craft.

Danish gem. Very nice coffee shop. It is exactly what you are looking for in a coffee shop as a “tourist” the coffee was also great. I had a caramel iced latte and one of the cinnamon bun/breads. 10/10 recommend this place for food, service, and aesthetics.

Good overall. somewhat busy with tourists. Can’t say it was the best pastry of my life but it was good and lots to choose from. Would go back for a quick take away breakfast. Lots of seating though

This café has multiple branches across Copenhagen and is definitely a must-try! If you miss it during your trip, don’t worry—they also have two branches at the airport, making it a perfect last-minute stop before your flight. The best items I tried were the Direktørsnegl (a delicious chocolate roll) and the Kanelstang. I also had a salmon sandwich, which was fresh and flavorful. You order at the counter and receive your items immediately—super convenient if you’re on the go. The coffee line moves quickly, and they also offer free Wi-Fi, which is a nice bonus.

We dropped by Lagkagehuset for quick breakfast while visiting Copenhagen last few days. Attractive, freshly baked and plenty of choices of pastries, pizza displayed. Enjoy rabatbersnurre, kanelgiffel, spandauer creme, latte. Quick and friendly service. It's easy to find them at many locations even in the airport.

Located very centrally for tourists (me) and they have an screen ordering system for pickup. But the pastries were delicious and we always had great service. We went back several times to try all the different kinds because they had such a wide selection.

Polite staff, really good food. The pizza dough is not flat like regular pizza so it’s very tasty, fluffy and soft. They heat it up when you order and it is very good. We spent around 210 dkk for the two of us, including the hot chocolate (great), black tea (great). We ordered coffee the other day which I don’t recommend. The place is great, and you can sit and eat inside.

Amazing coffee and delicious selection of food. Unfortunately pastries were almost sold out at 3pm, visit earlier! Soft ice with olive oil and salt is a blast!!

Flere Fugle has a unique atmosphere and is a great place to come to sporadically. The food is quite good but I don’t think it stands out particularly compared to other popular places the city has to offer. Expect a line on weekends but if the weather is good there are plenty of seats and frequent rotation. Everyone knows eating out in Copenhagen is expensive but our group was left with the impression that what we ordered was particularly expensive (not pictured is a cheese bun, an egg plate and a few cappuccinos and lattes).

We tried the Nduja pizza, and while it was decent, it lacked generous toppings and wasn’t quite enough to satisfy a full appetite. At 145 DKK, it’s not the most budget-friendly option either. That said, the overall experience at the restaurant was pleasant—the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the people were lovely.

It’s a beautiful place but the food is just incredibly and painfully average and, for what you get, it’s way too expensive. The service was also extremely slow even though they had so many members of staff working. Overall, really not worth the visit. This is another great example of overhyped place in the city. Also, 33 kr for a bottle of dansk vand is actually evil and should be jailed for life

Such a gorgeous little spot. We each had the folded eggs, one with seasonal greens and one with a fennel sausage. Everything was super delicious, well flavoured and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed it. There is seating inside and outside which is lovely on a sunny day. We went during the week and it was so peaceful in the courtyard - a nice start to our day. Oh and the coffee was delicous!

They need to provide more consistent food…I came here a few times already because it’s near where I live, but every time the items I ordered tend to be different. Today they only gave me one piece of bread along with the folded eggs- which is not a big deal - but should be avoided because everyone else is getting two…. And the eggs - aren’t cooked like they usually did. More like something I made at home that doesn’t look very good. They may have a new cook coming in but I feel uncomfortable getting something worse than last time every time.

The place is giving hippie vibes, I don’t really understand their schedule and planning. Saturday at 9:30 and there are no BMO even though the queue of people continues outside of the place. They don’t wear one-time gloves when they serve you which is 🤮 please use gloves when you touch people’s food Only good thing is their prices which is a bit cheaper than the rest of the market

Every aspect of this place is underwhelming. We were so let down :( It seems there isn’t much care put into anything, with the exception of the barista, who made a lovely flat white. We didn’t feel very welcome and got our drinks after our food. A highlight was ad libitum water for free.

Why this restaurant has 4.2 ratings? Its straight 5/5. If you are in Copenhagen, must try this. Much better than many hyped places. Staff was friendly and hosted us like family. Bit on expensive side but worth every penny.

I have visited Cadence for brunch severL times. Just great, I can recommend. 🤩 Had crumpet with extra poached egg and avocado toast. Coffee is good too (only one minus they don’t have low fat milk, only full fat and alternative). To be seated inside during weekends usually the reservation is needed, outside is more flexible.

Aussie inspired and you can tell! The coffee is the best I’ve had since moving here. Serving sizes are super generous, and the service is top tier. Can also recommend the sourdough pizzas if you’re feeling dinner!

I have tried coming here before, but we found it full without reservation so decided to come for brunch by last day in Copenhagen. And OMG I had Turkish eggs and I think it was best thing I had in Copenhagen over a week stay - and needless to say everything else was already top notch. Service could be slightly more attentive, but again that’s something I experienced overall in here - I wouldn’t say any of places had high standard in that - staff is inattentive and just does the bare minimum in that sense. But overall amazing food experience

I spend a slow morning here as it was recommended by a friend. I had the classic BMO and a matcha latte. The latter I was quite disappointed with as I had high expectations for ceremonial grade matcha. Moments after I had my first sip it realised the brand of matcha they use. For that specific brand, I didn’t expect to pay 70kr for a cup - and wouldn’t recommend it. The bun with cheese (and the butter) was very delicious. 😋 I can definitely recommend that! The vibe of the place reminded me of cafes in Australia. It was a lovely reminder of my travels Down Under. I will try the flat white next time I visit. ☕️

I went here to buy fastelavnsboller, to take home, on a saturdaymorning. Cozy place, many people were having breakfast and it felt very relaxed. The fastelavnsbolle looked so cute! It is called the cat in the barrel (fastelavnstonne)

We managed to visit this lovely cafe twice in our holiday trip to Copenhagen, both times we chose coffee and a delicious pastry. The cafe is situated on a roundabout but is separated from it by a small coppice wooded area. The patio sits within this glade and the dappled sunlight shines through making a delightful setting. There is also a sunny patio and a large seating area inside. The serving counter is well organised and the staff are all friendly and cheerful and fully bilingual in Danish and English.The food selection is great and the strawberry pastry on our second visit was fantastic. We visited quite a few cafes in the city during our stay but this was my favourite. There was something about how the leafy glade atmosphere that was able to make this hidden gem the number one choice for us. Highly recommended.

Great place. Good coffee and food. Inside is a nice store to get various goodies like licorice as well as coffees,chips,salts,recycled materials and more. Worth a visit. They have great selection of breads and pastries 🥮

Wanted to come here every since getting one of the baking books and we weren't let down. The smorrebrod were fabulous. Well crafted toppings with careful and considered flavours. The rhubarb bun was lovely, sweet, tart and soft. Definitely recommend a visit

70 kr = Croissant is to the dry side and the pot coffee is ok. Nothing is really wrong I just expected a bit more for that price.. The waiters seem tired.. otherwise a beautiful shop, and the sitting area outside is wonderful in the summer.

I first posted my review two years ago: ‘We are regulars of hahnemanns. Amazing bread and pastry.’ I continue to be a regular at Hahnemans, and while they still impress with excellent food and innovative offers, I've noticed a lingering issue with speed. Unfortunately, the service lacks the efficiency one would expect, and things take longer than desired. Given the premium prices, an improvement in managing demand is essential for them to deliver the top-notch service that matches their reputation.

Friendly staff, excellent quality of food and beverages and very hyggeligt terrasse 👌 Prices may be perceived as too high, but 90-100% organic products requires lots of time and labor costs these days. Overall, it’s worth the visit 🙌

Baked goods are amazing I loved their selection of sourdough breads but the customer service we had was horrible the lady was not patient with us at all and I felt very rushed and disappointed in her service I would not recommend this branch 😭😭

Great Danish pastry (bakery food) but slightly overpriced compared to others (usually the chains have higher prices). But the food is GREAT and they make it look really tasty.

Good quality bread but the servers mostly have bad and unfriendly attitude towards customers. The opposite spot of Emmerys bakery offers both good bread and good customer service

I only came here once. The selection was okay, but I guess they cannot have more products because of the tininess of the place. Nice personnel. I wish the prices were more affordable.

Generally good bread and pastries, but can get sold out, like today when they had no bread left 3 hours before closing...

I was there on a Sunday morning, and there was a big queue outside the bakery. Ordered a chorizo croissant , which was really different and tasty, as well as a couple of fastelavnsboller. There is some seating available inside and outside the bakery, but it was too crowded so we had to do takeaway (not a problem for us, but to be kept in mind). We will come back again to try other pastries.

We have tried the pistachio danish and fig danish, both tasty and crunchy! The coffee is good too. The shop is spacious, all staffs are friendly as you can see in the photos. If I lived nearby, I would definitely visit often.

Really nice bakery. I had a bun with cheese and butter, and my girlfriend had their fastelavns bolle. Everything was good, the interior is pretty and they have a large selection of different stuff. Definitely a place worth coming back too.

Great pain suisse at this bakery. Good crunchy and flavours work well. No crazy super long line to get in.

If you’re here, don’t miss their pistachio and almond croissant – absolutely delicious! Their cookie and pain au pistachio were okay, but nothing standout compared to the other items.

This is my quintessential København bakery -- just around the corner from the metro, very easy to get to. When you walk in the place is cozy yet open, the ambiance modern yet with class, and the baked goods shimmering yet fundamental. I had a variety of baked goods, cinnamon rolls, chorizo croissant, the roll with cheese and butter, cardamom bun, and the custard pastry. All solidly done, and well complemented with the filtered coffee. Enjoyed my purchases at the bakery along with the locals who were there to enjoy the same and with a paper or a book. Perfect vibe. I have been to a dozen bakeries during my 10 day venture here and this is my go to.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this place is AMAZING !!! During my first visit I had the pistachio croissant and it was the BEST pastry I have ever eaten - so flaky and buttery (look at the pictures!!! so many layers) while the pistachio paste is nutty and fragrant and has a slight savoriness to it. I loved it so much i came back a second time before i left CPH but sadly they were sold out (so do come early, possibly before 9.30am if you want to snag the pistachio croissant (100% worth it by the way)) so i got another seasonal danish (i think it was blackberry?) it was really delicious too, the pastry is flaky and buttery as usual and the compote/jam in the center was the perfect sweetness and tartness. But my heart still lies with the pistachio croissant it was insanely good… I love this bakery so much and i’m already planning to come back next time i’m in europe, just to eat this. 🙏🏻 thanks to the crew for the gorgeous pastries, coffee and cozy atmosphere!

I tried the sourdough bun which was alright. Nothing special to write home about. I will say that the pastries in the glass case always looked so unique and cool. My friends both loved their pastries and coffees. Our drinks came out super quick as well. If I was passing by this neighborhood, I’d come here, although if it’s out of your way, it might not be worth it.

This has got to be one of the very best bakeries we've got in Copenhagen. The croissant gets an A+ Perfectly buttery and soft on the inside and equally perfectly crunchy and flakey on the outside. A real gem! I'll be back

ARD bakery is a hidden treasure in the outskirts of Copenhagen. After a run at the beautiful nearby Damhusengen lake, I happened to walk by and decided to stop for a post-run cappuccino and pastry. I asked the cashier for a recommendation, and she told me the Tebirkes is the most traditional, but the bakery is mostly known for its cinnamon rolls. I tried the latter, and it indeed might have been the best one I'd ever had. It was so good that I decided to go back to the cash desk and order a sourdough bread for lunch. I feasted on it for days, and will gladly be visiting again to try out more of their delicious baked goods! One suggestion: the cappuccino would have been even more tasty in a porcelain cup instead of a paper cup.

I used to love this bakery, but it in the last 2/3 weeks the quality really went down. From the fantastic buttery layered croissant now they serv very mediocre “bread” like pastry, is probably because of the increase in demand. The bread is still good

Everything was tasty. Might be a little bit more expensive than other bakeries but not sure (some pastries 40ish kr, loafs 60ish kr).

I can see many people takeaway from this bakery. Their pastries are not bad, but I don’t think it’s good enough to be a regular here. The dine-in experience was not great though. The table and chairs are slightly dirty, ground was wet, and inside was not warm enough to stay long.

The shop is very close to where I am staying so I decided to take a morning walk. I am so glad I did. The chocolate raspberry croissant was so so good! Rich and gooey and delicious. Run! Don't walk! Lol

Now called Magnolia. We paid DKK 355 for 2x small portions of mushroom salad straight from the fridge with cold toast on top and two glasses of water. Avoid this place, their pastry looked nice enough though.

Expensive- for what you see in the picture (small cup cappuccino,1bottle Coca-Cola,2 pastries) we paid 170dkk(22,79€) .The only yummy thing that we ate was the pastry with sesame seeds on top. The place was Noisy;by people,staff and plates. We stopped here just to refuel before finishing up our museum tour. It wasn’t great but not bad.

Very good coffee, bmo, pancakes and kage! The staff is very kind. The cafe is large and lovely! In the summer even more pleasant due to the huge windows and beautiful views.

Pumpkin soup was delish! Bread also so delicious and soft. Pancakes were not great, I wouldn’t order them. But beautiful room and view!

I ordered food and it was the most disgusting food I've ever tasted in my life. The coffee was also disappointing. When you pay 35 euros, you expect nice service and delicious food. I didn't get that at all

It’s quite expensive, but it’s the most beautiful café I’ve ever been to! The high ceilings, numerous lampshades, and large windows create a lovely atmosphere. I would want to visit this café often. If I lived in Copenhagen and stayed in this space for a long time, I would really enjoy it because it’s so spacious.

Bread and pastries are very good at this bakery. They also have the season specials and the staff is always very nice and attentive. Do not hesitate to ask for the things that you like even if you don’t see them display just in case they will be available soon in the future.

Not french bakery, if anything a mix of German Danish and French cuisine. Never the less the only place a Swabian can find a Laugen croissant. Sadly it's missing a bit the fluffiness. Only had this and some sweet piece from there which were both fine and prices are also. Want to try the rest and want to also say I can't find them on too good to go but can't say of they just throw out the leftovers which would be sad.

Honestly one of of not thee best bakery in Copenhagen. All the best traditional Danish goodies

More a traditional Danish bakery with few French specialities than a boulangerie. The cakes are tasty but one could have wished for éclairs, cannelés, chouquettes etc. Staff is nice but seemed unaware of the heritage and selection of French baked goods.

Finally I found Galette des rois in Copenhagen.

Closest I would get to a good croissant that wasn't too soft or didn't have the iconic flakiness of a croissant. It's more traditional Danish with some French goods but I've come to a liking to what they offer whenever I miss having a French breakfast. Ordered some cakes here as well for my birthday recently, got a small rectangular chocolate cake for me and my boyfriend to share, and a lemony cheesecake for the workplace. Everyone enjoyed the goods for the decent price of what we got. Very nice place indeed.

Located near the metro station and other tourist attractions. Have passed through this cafe multiple times before finally giving in and trying their coffee and cake. Honestly, the coffee is not the best the area could offer, we tried the bear designed cake with caramel filling and what seemed to be a popping candy inside? (might be good for others but was not entirely a fan of how sweet the cake is) 🐻 Very good for taking pictures but this may be targeted for people who really likes bitter coffee, super sweet desserts, and overall aesthetic of the shop. 🎀

Definitely one of the best fastelavnsbolle you can get in Copenhagen! Also, the most expensive. 75 kr for 2025. Sandwiches are also nice, very unusual as it’s croissant dough.. and very expensive for the size. There is not much seating inside and doesn’t feel cozy either, all is pink tho which is cute. But more for takeaway pastry. Staff could be more friendly, but it’s in general for Danish places 🙂

The Rabarberblomst is a must must try. Filled with the sweetest jam that explodes when you break the dessert. Citrontærte was to die for especially the middle thats filled with citron super delicious. Absolutely loved the dessert selection provided.

All the pastries we tried were delicious, full of flavour and not too sweet. The only drawback is that they are quite pricey.

Such a beautiful cafe! The music was great and decoration was super cute. Love the pink door. The service was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. It tasted really good.
