Sushi restaurant
Sushi Hanayoshi is a must-visit in Hokkaido for an exceptional dining experience. The owner personally selects the freshest fish from nearby bays every day, ensuring top-notch quality that matches the high level of skill in preparing each dish. With a focus on seasonal seafood, this place offers delicious sushi and sashimi made with the most special catch. Guests rave about the exceptional tuna belly and angler fish liver, along with fantastic drink recommendations at reasonable prices.
This hidden gem was the food highlight of our Niseko trip! We had the set menu and the food and service were absolutely incredible from start to finish! Their ingredients are so fresh and tasty, each dish was prepared perfectly and for the amount and quality of food you're getting the price was reasonable. The head chef Ryohei was so friendly and generous he even gave us extras to try. The entire team of staff were all so pleasant and attentive. This whole experience was beyond our expectation and was definitely the best meal we've had in Niseko. We'll for sure be back again next time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had great time here, the sashimi is very fresh, the salad is delicious, especially the Hokkaido fried potato shreds. The waitress is very nice and she is very friendly to my son. We had a great experience.

Below average, don’t come. We arrived and ordered the Hana omakase set and a bottle of sake. We were not asked at any point if there’s anything we didn’t prefer or didn’t eat. We ordered a ¥15,000 and we got cheap tall sake glasses. The sashimi started out fine but it was rare to find octopus sashimi at an expensive restaurant. Then we had a seafood salad, it was interesting and the friend shoestring potatoes gave the salad a nice crunch. But the seafood was lacking and overall not high quality - scallop skirts, thin slices of tasteless tuna and salmon and some octopus bits. The salad dressing was a store bought sesame dressing. Before we had finished the salad, we were served chawanmushi (steamed egg custard). But before we could even start that, a massive tuna collar was served. Pacing was definitely very off. We asked for the meal to be slowed down. The star of the dinner was the grilled tuna collar. This was well executed, very flavourful but missing a citrus sauce to cut the fattiness. We were served a giant oyster (no explanation where it was from) and it was super milky and creamy. It is fine but I personally prefer crispier oysters. This is a preference and not an issue with the oyster. After that we were served sushi. The ikura had no flavour, the toro was tough and had ligaments, the pre prepared gunkan had soggy seaweed and the raw surf clam is just not for everyone. 80% of the surf clam was left on the table. And they serve staff didn’t ask if everything was okay and also just left lots of plates with a few bits of food left on the table. The second round of sushi was better, but nothing really interesting or unexpected. We ordered a second bottle of sake ¥20,000 and we were given normal glass cups this time. Was it terrible? Some parts were. Would I come back? Definitely not. There are so many better options at ¥16,000 per person.

The food is so delicious and from the presentation to the ingredients, everything is impeccable! Besides this, the staff are super friendly and too bad we don’t speak Japanese, but they chatted and laughed with all the guests, love the atmosphere!! Although we don’t speak Japanese, they all gave us big smiles!! The set menu price is sooo good!

Delicious traditional Japanese dinner. Very welcoming people. Delicious fresh food. We had an amazing evening. Thank you so much
Antoine L — Google review
Despite specifying that children under 12 were not allowed, there were two local children. There were two local women at the counter. And our party. We ordered a decent sake, no ritual choosing of our sake cups. There was only a set menu with no specifics e.g. chawanmushi, grilled dishes, 8 pieces nigiri sushi, dessert. Service was perfunctory and fast, too fast until we asked them to slow down (after the seafood salad arrived with the grilled tuna collar). Seafood salad contained unidentifiable bits except for 4 slices of salmon and loads of leaves. Chawanmushi was very plain and I found 2 lumps of chicken, a ginkgo nut and a slice of fish cake. The sushi was ordinary and in some cases bland. No one had asked us whether we had any dietary restrictions or preferences so we all left pieces we don’t normally eat. A disappointment as I’d been there two years running pre Covid with friends who hv a house nearby.
Anne H — Google review
We had an amazing dinner with the freshest sashimi and sushi. We had the counter seat and it was mesmerising watching the chef at work. Each bite was delicious and it was well worth the drive out. The owners were very lovely and tried their best to engage in conversation with us even if english wasn’t their native tongue. We will definitely return again if we return to Niseko.
Cindy X — Google review
33000 per head omakase dinner, providing sashimi with fish bone, cheap fish, poor dish presentation. There are total 11 of us attending this dinner with our private room. The chef didn’t serve us at all, the food are providing in a big dish. There are no good food at all, the only little uni sushi is not sweet, and there are so many dishes with salmon. Looks like a 3300 set rather than a 33000 yen omakase. I do not recommend this restaurant at all unless you hate the person so much you can ask him or her to go here. Very disgusting food experience in here.

Ezo Seafoods Fresh, formerly known as Ezo Seafoods Oyster Bar, is a seafood haven set to reopen in December 2022. Located in Niseko, it offers an array of fresh Hokkaido seafood including oysters and scallops. The staff provides personalized service by guiding customers through the live tanks and assisting them in making an Omakase or Chef's Selection style order.
Get here early! We came just a few minutes after they opened at 5 on a Tuesday and there was already a small crowd inside and by the time we left, there were only a few boxes left of their daily sushi. Definitely with it! Everything was so fresh and well made. We also got half a dozen oysters which were very clean and also delicious. The tanks had live hairy crabs, whelks, and the largest scallops in their shell I've ever seen.
Pam V — Google review
Ordered the crab and tuna several days in advance. Fantastic and fresh seafood and a great way to taste the Hokkaido crab. Portions are generous and would highly recommend for an easy fresh dinner to eat at your hotel or Airbnb
Sydney M — Google review
Seafood takeout…….their cooked seafood was better than the raw ones, abalone was a bit hard to eat, sushi rice was a bit too sour for our taste, the rest of the sashimi platter is great. The kinki fish and crab legs were excellent……
Charmander L — Google review
Excellent take out sushi in Hirafu. They have options for walk ins but if you want a specific order then sort it one day in advance. All of our food was top notch, going back tomorrow.
Alex S — Google review
V fresh seafood for takeaway - great variety. My highlights were the scallops, crab and uni. We ordered online a day in advance which in hindsight was a good choice as some items sold out during the evening. Owner and his team are super friendly and knowledgeable. Price is on the higher end but imo it is worth it.
N T — Google review
One of the best restaurants in Hirafu. The scallop sashimi was super fresh. Must try the cod liver if you are feeling adventurous. Snow crab was refreshingly delicious. Reserve a table in advance. Walk-in is nearly impossible. Or you can order takeaway.
Jason L — Google review
We were lucky, managed to get seats while walking. Saw many guest sent away without reservations. Food is delicious and fabulous, minimal seasoning, just let the ingredients freshness speak to you. The fried calamari really WOW us. Possibly the combination of Japanese battered, freshness, and minimal seasoning, just the best. Worth going back for another time, will definitely make reservations.
Erik N — Google review
Take out only sushi place. Staff was very friendly and the room for customers to wait is very cozy. I got a single server sushi set which cost 4000 yen. 9 pieces of sushi, 4 pc roll, ginger, cucumbers, mushrooms, and three pieces of egg roll. The place only takes credit card, no cash. I waited about 10 minutes for my food. Took me a 10 minute walk both ways from my resort. Hiked uphill to get back and it was so worth it. The presentation of the food is top notch. I usually don’t like fancy packaging, as I’d rather have my money go into the quality of the food, but this was necessary, and contributed to the supreme takeout experience. The fish was extremely fresh and very tasty. Wasabi was placed between the raw seafood and the rice, as it is traditionally. Highly recommend, very authentic, quality sushi, for a reasonable price. None of that westernized garbage in the other fancy resorts around that cater to tourists. This place is the real deal.

Izakaya restaurant
Ebisutei is a popular ramen shop located in Niseko, known for serving delicious and authentic bowls of ramen that attract food enthusiasts. The restaurant takes pride in using top-quality ingredients and preparing their flavorful broth from scratch, ensuring a rich and satisfying dining experience for ramen lovers. Due to its small size and popularity, it's recommended to make a reservation or arrive early for dinner.
We walked in and they accommodated us since they had openings for 2 at the bar tables. Had a great show of the kitchen and could see all the meticulous preparations. Everything about this place was excellent and I highly recommend doing a few reservations here during your stay..we got lucky but it's difficult to get a non reserved table. We ordered the oysters, edamame, salmon sashimi, vegetarian tempura, beef skirt in yuzu dressing. All the preparations were really great and fresh. They were really great in accomodating veggie food and got the veg tempura which was amazing. Oysters were great not too thick just right. Overall for the price, the quality, service and variety of food was fantastic.

This izakiya place is small but food was quite good, staff were able to understand some level of English so it was easy for us to order. Their fried food was delicious, they do have a decent range of selection on drinks and food.
Charmander L — Google review
Good izakaya place which can hold a large group. There were 8 of us. Need to make a reservation in advance though. Affordable price for food and alcohol. My fav was salmon and sashimi. Oden was not too bad too.
Charis — Google review
Lovely little Izakaya in Hirafu town. We had so many dishes I had to think long and hard about which my favourites were. Food in order of deliciousness. 1. The place is tiny so book ahead. 2. Shot of the exterior 3. Never say no to thick cuts of sashimi. This Maguro looked especially nice. 4/5. Garlic Beef hot plate. It actually wasn't tender but the flavour was really good. Juicy and fatty umami. 6. Basic house salad with yummy tomatoes. Super refreshing. 7. Deep fried octopus bites. Yum. 8. Prawn tempura was actually pretty good too. Nice meaty prawn 9. I always enjoy tofu salad. Served cold and clean tasting. 10. These deep fried sweet corn was unexpectedly good. 11. Jap oysters were fresh but lacked creaminess. 12. Grilled beef tongue. Amazing texture. 13. Grilled salmon belly was really good, and dripping with fat 14. One thing I noticed about Saba fish in Japan. I much prefer the Singapore ones which are frozen and salty. The texture here is better but the flavour is blander and loaded with too many small bones to enjoy 15. Suntory my regular go to drink when in Japan. 16. A funny sign in how to enjoy Niseko / rules for foreigners.
R T — Google review
Really enjoyed our dinner here. All the food we had was great. Super cute little restaurant. Pictured: Oden 6 pieces - all delicious and scallop sashimi. (Ventilation could be better)
Mark S — Google review
Great spot for dinner in Niseko! Definitely make a reservation or get there right when they open because it’s a small restaurant and quite popular. Only gets 4 instead of 5 stars because a few things we ordered were bland (fried rice and potatoes with cheese.) Everything else was good though, and lots of veggie options!
Robyn K — Google review
Amazing izakaya. Exceeded expectations. We had the sashimi which was super fresh, the kakifry (fried oysters) so delicious, the crab was super sweet and fleshy, the beef was tender if over marinaded, and the crab fried rice omg. To die for. Soooooo good. Will definitely be back and highly recommended. Very small space so book weeks in advance especially in peak season.
Deborah K — Google review
Other izakayas are just better in Niseko - I’m confused by the relative high rating. Food was quite mid - the asparagus tempura was our favorite of a number of things we tried. Salmon don and cheesy potatoes were also good. Felt low energy. The best part was the service.

The BARN BY ODIN is a charming bistro-style restaurant and bar located in Niseko, offering a tranquil and classy dining experience. Known for its solid French country bistro cuisine, the restaurant sources the freshest local produce to pair with traditional French cooking. The physical appeal of the place adds to its charm, resembling a traditional Hokkaido farm building with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The best fine dining I had ever tasted in Japan! A lot of local ingredients are used, and the simple ingredients are well integrated. I am very surprised. It must be paired with wine parring. It is really wonderful. It goes well with the meal.
Angel C — Google review
We went for dinner on 1 Jan 2025. They could accommodate our request for an earlier seating. It was a 4 course set menu (JPY16,000 with additional JPY7,000 for wine pairing). Oysters were very fresh although I didn’t much like the pickled radish as it detracted from the taste profile. The grilled unagi complemented the smooth Foie gras, served with homemade petite brioche. The main was the wagyu tenderloin cooked medium rare accompanied with burdock (whole and purée) and jus (cooked for 3 days). It was tender, rich and flavorful. Paired well with both Pinot and CabSav. However it was the dessert (thinly sliced carrot cake served over mousse, very punchy ginger gel and chilli mousse) that took us by surprise. The flavors paired beautifully with dry sparkling wine. Service was great (thank you Hayley) and inside the barn was cosy and welcoming like a warm hug).
Penny S — Google review
The whole experience was amazing, we had the Wagyu fried potatoes, hokke fish appetizer and the mushroom main course dish and the 24 hour braised beef was out of this work! Emily who served us was superb and genuine, looking after us and even gave us some surprises homemade rum shots as she knew we were going out to town for a few more drinks. :)
Roberto H — Google review
I regret coming here. We did the set menu paired with the wine tasting. In total it was $150 usd. I wish I would’ve spent $150 on sushi instead. The oyster was 1 bite, and was okay. Nothing special with the taste. Really was just all presentation. Then the bread and butter 2nd course was sub par with the tinest piece of eel you’ve ever seen. The appetizers were not exciting. For the price, I feel like it should be something that makes me say “WOW”, but it wasn’t close to that. I will say, the wagyu steak and mashed potatoes were delectable, very very tasty! Probably the most tender steak I’ve had. But again, the portion was so small. I understand it was a tasting menu which means small portions, but I really just didn’t feel that I got my money’s worth. Then for desert, it was essentially whipped cream on a plate with fancy decorations. Literally just whipped cream… For $150 at least give us a slice of cheesecake or something satiating. We went and ate at the food trucks after our meal because we were still hungry. Also the atmosphere was loud and just didn’t have that fine dining feel. I think this place is a tourist trap.
Nick A — Google review
We had the best dinner ever tonight! Beautiful table by the window, the service was impeccable! The timing of the courses was perfect! Thank you for making us feel so special!
Marchal F — Google review
One of several restaurants that serves western meals (not counting eateries within hotels), it is a popular dining option for tourists/skiers who want something that doesn't need to be google translated. The space is a modified barn. Open and airy which is nice. Located near other restaurants, it is in a good location. In terms of food, it is good. A decent but small selection of dishes covering each major food group. Nothing super creative but dishes that most western diners will be familiar with. The only disappointment for the evening was the fish. It was bland and boring. Serving sizes are ok but not overly generous. Service is fast from the young wait staff. I suspect they have at least a second seating if not a third. Prices are on the high side or we'll just call it mountain price.
H — Google review
I was with a group of girlfriends, and we all thought the food was OK. Cocktails were meh. The service was nice, and the atmosphere was fine dining/cozy. I just wished they could have let in some cool air throughout the night. I liked it, but I'm not looking forward to it next season.
Jamie C — Google review
Menu was very limited and food tasted kind of weird for our taste (We did not order from the set menu). The seats were kind of cramped. Staffs were very attentive though and the building was interesting.

Restaurant
Kamimura is a renowned French restaurant located on the first floor of Hyatt House Niseko, formerly known as Shiki hotel. It is an iconic Michelin-starred dining spot in Upper Hirafu Village, open from Tuesday to Monday (closed on Wednesday) for lunch and dinner. The restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Niseko, with its bustling streets, picturesque slopes, and stunning views of Mt Yotei.
Wow...just, wow. Seriously one of the best culinary experiences I've had. Each course was carefully thought out and expertly presented. Staff is ever present and attentive. Wine list was excellent, sake options were appropriate and the staff and chef/owner were all fantastic. The 2nd course "cone" was probably one of the best bites of my life.

The food was amazing and service was excellent. Really loved every single course and will definitely come again. The chef was also so friendly and came to say hello.

Spectacular meal! Really enjoyed the experience! Each dish was so elegantly plated and perfect balance of flavors! The chef came out to greet us after the meal which I thought was a great finish. The potato focaccia with mushroom powder butter was out of the world!!!!!! Amazing 😍😍😍😍

This is my favorite french restaurant experience so far! The food is so good, refreshing and enjoyable. Some of the remarkable dishes were trout salmon (raw), egg custard soup, puffer fish tempura, wagyu, truffle butter and dessert! So lucky to be able to celebrate my birthday here with friends!
Tiffany C — Google review
We had a 11-course tasting menu, each dish is prepared with creativity, high quality ingredients, thoughtful combination, and perfect execution. Every dish has a surprise; every dish pleases. 5-star on services, attentive staffs, knowledgeable sommelier, friendly and resourceful attitude. Will definitely come back again.
Beatrice W — Google review
My favourite restaurant at Hirafu ski town which is a Michelin star French restaurant using largely fresh Hokkaido ingredients. Impeccable restaurant ambience, high service quality & of course very delicious & innovative cuisines. Each dishes have been carefully cooked, arranged & presented. Despite the very high standards, I would think the meal cost is very reasonable but of course not cheap. We tend to dine out here at least one night whenever we travel here. The chef is very attentive not only to details but also restaurant customers too.
Joseph T — Google review
We had a lovely time at Kamimura during our visit in February 2019. The couple tables are fantastic because you are seated facing a large ceiling to floor window, away from the dining room, like a private room. We had the early bird menu which had 6 courses. Every single dish was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the brown rice risotto and grilled chicken. The pairing of local ingredients & flavours with French technique was very well done. Service was great and the petit fours we're also fabulous!
Seow C — Google review
When it comes to fine dining, I would say that I have a pretty high standard - especially when it comes to quality of service and ingredients used. I had some pretty high expectations for this Michelin starred spot (note that we went for the early bird meal)... And it did not disappoint. Plates were creative but not too weird. All the food was cooked to perfection and local ingredients were used. The staff was incredibly approachable and since it's a bit of a ski-bum town, I felt like the right amount of casual was used (I hate places with too much pretentiousness). The chef came out to greet everyone as well. Everyone was super attentive but not over bearing. I think when you first look at the price tag, you may thing this place is really expensive - but we spent 5 nights in Niesko and this by far was the best food, best experience, and when you pay $20+ USD per person for food at the food trucks - this place was very reasonable. I actually wish we went here twice rather than another high end spot in town. Highly recommended.

An Dining is a sophisticated Japanese restaurant located in the Ki Niseko hotel, offering locally sourced Hokkaido cuisine in an elegant setting. Led by Chef Shinichi Maeda, who previously helmed a renowned restaurant in Brisbane, Australia, the 50-seat establishment provides stunning views of Mt. Yotei. The restaurant offers casual Western and Japanese-style breakfast and lunch options, while dinner features upscale Japanese fare.
Great food and service. Was expecting all Japanese style cuisine but was pleasantly surprised by some western influence in their dishes. Lovely drinks too. Had the hot chocolate and lemon sour.
Cecilia C — Google review
My partner and I stayed in the hotel for 7D/6N and had the opportunity to try their daily breakfast. So we decided to make reservations for their premium tasting menu on our last night for dinner. It was a fantastic dining experience all the way around. The decor/ambiance, the service, and especially the food were all top tier, especially the Waygu. It was one of the best foods we had during our stay in Neisko.
Ann — Google review
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience and birthday ambiance at An Dining. The chef's meticulously crafted dessert platter was truly remarkable, with the ice cream-like cheese being absolutely exquisite. The main course braised Wagyu beef was equally impressive. The flavor of Hokkaido Danshaku Potato Gnocchi with Mushroom Salsa Bianca was also unforgettable. Of course, the service quality was equally impeccable. Definitely, we will definitely revisit the stage of culinary artistry.

We chose the Premium Set menu. Delightful and not the most expensive meal we had in Niseko. But certainly not cheap at around 17,000 yen pp. Scallops, wagu beef, and oysters were a real highlight. The Western Australia Cabernet (forgot the name) was also great about 8 years on and 8,000 yen. Great dinner with friends.

Food was great. One of our best meals in niseko. Small tapas size plates were great for sharing so we could try many different dishes. Scallops and Wagyu cheeks were some of our favs! Highly recommend.

Delicious first meal for us in Niseko. Had a variety of well-prepared dishes to share. The tempura, not pictured, was also fabulous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at An’ Dining last night. The wonderful local produce was beautifully prepared and every course of the An’ Tasting Menu was excellent, very tasty and very well presented. All staff members were gracious, friendly and welcoming, and each one added value to our evening. We look forward to dining at An’ again when next we return to Niseko and we gladly recommend it to those looking for a fine dining experience in Hirafu.

Greasy greasy greasy 😣 The sirloin beef was wayyyy too greasy to eat, I felt there was oil bomb exploded in my mouth and immediately my stomach felt weird. The cauliflower somehow was also full of heavy oil taste and lack of flavors. The fried fish and shiitake mushrooms are way too salty. The apple sake was way off balanced and very very sweet. Overall quite disappointing and way below the average for restaurants in Japan.

Niseko Bang Bang is a cozy family-style izakaya that has been around for over 30 years. It is particularly famous for its yakitori, which includes various meat, vegetables, and seafood grilled over hot charcoal and seasoned with traditional sauces. The restaurant also offers delicious sides, fresh sashimi, original salads, and an extensive menu of refined and upscale izakaya-style dishes.
Undeniable that this was the BEST meal we had in Niseko! Glad I read some reviews ahead of time about showing up super early - either a little before or right when they open because we didn't have reservations and they seemed to be completely booked for the next 2 months! We got seated right at the bar area with a great view of the chefs. Every dish was amazing, the service was also impeccable, and the atmosphere was authentic. This should be a destination to seek out if you're in the Hokkaido area!

It doesn’t get any better than this in Niseko. You must go here. I waited for a seat to open up at the bar because I knew it would be completely worth it. The whole staff is so friendly, kind and welcoming, so refreshing. I had the Hokkaido Venison, Fried Salmon and Sponge Cheesecake. One of the chefs thanked me for waiting and gave me a great glass of sake out of appreciation! Rare to see a combination emasculate food and customer service. My last night in Niseko is tomorrow and I will probably go again. Such a great vibe here. Like other reviewers, show up very early or late. The place really cleared out about 7pm and people were easily able to get a seat right in front of the chefs without reservation. They are booked for weeks with reservations, but it is definitely worth showing up early or later. Incredible experience!

Wonderful yakitori dinner. Staff was sweet, and we were fortunate to receive seats without reservation. The owner warmly greeted us with conversation and we enjoyed 12 skewers, sashimi plate, oysters, grilled hotte, deer steak, a few sides and desert. No regrets on anything, but the chicken tail, wagyu and pork cheek skewers were the best of all. The deer steak was excellent, no gamey taste and wonderfully tender. Hotte was perfectly grilled and of course the sashimi and oysters were some of the best quality of our trip. We spent about $110pp USD with beers and desert. Our counter seats offered views of the yakitori chef who was so professional managing every detail, even the perfect charcoal placement, and the owners son was helping in all areas, great to see the family run business stroll thriving after 40yrs. Really a great experience that lives up to its reputation and so grateful they keep 2 counter seats for walkins, and that we were the lucky ones tonight!

We visited Bang Bang last night as a walk-in without a reservation. The staff was generally polite, but the service was disorganized. We were told to wait outside for 10 minutes, only to see other customers walk straight in and get seated before us.As for the food, it was overpriced for the quality. The wagyu was excessively fatty we couldn't finish it, and the sashimi and yakitori were just average—not bad, but nothing special. Given the high prices, we expected better. Overall, a disappointing experience with decent but unremarkable food and inconsistent service.
Ain N — Google review
This place is always so hard to get reservations, you might get lucky either by walking in early (at 5pm) or emailing in for a reservation weeks before. However, it is worth it! The chicken heart yakitori and chicken wings are amazing. They have a really hearty ochazuke to start or end your meal. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff are really friendly as well!

All the food was so delicious. The sashimi was the freshest I have had in my life. Our waiter and all the staff were SO kind to us. Thank you all. We hope to come back again soon.

Recommended to sit at the counter to watch the chef in action! Their menu is extensive and features izakaya favourites like kushiyaki, seafood menus that are popular in Hokkaido, sake and wine etc. I could tell there were regulars dining there, which goes to show their level of service. Price is a tad expensive for us, but this is Niseko after all.

Bang bang was one of our favorite restaurants in Japan. Everything we tried was delicious- wagyu beef and mushroom skewers were our favorite. We were lucky and got a seat at the counter where you can watch the grill master which made the experience more unique. Reservations are needed as this place is always packed. If you can’t find a table online you can give them a call. That’s what we did and we were able to get a spot the same day.

Kougetsu Izakaya is a charming family-run restaurant nestled in the heart of Hirafu. Upon entering, you're welcomed by an intimate atmosphere and friendly smiles. The menu offers a variety of delectable dishes such as tofu hotpot, burdock roots, edamame, and karage. For a steal deal, you can opt for four appetizers for 1000 yen. The restaurant provides both normal seating and tatami areas for a more authentic experience.
Traditional Japanese restaurant with a modern twist. Found it from other reviews, and glad we did. Outside you would walk past thinking it was closed. Online no reservations available so I emailed and they responded quickly with an offer of a sitting.

Good food made with care. Portions are small for the price but definitely worth the splurge. It's a popular place, so book a reservation.

While there are so many tourist traps in Niseko this place is legit. It is not a fancy place but this is the place to go if you want a real homemade Japanese countryside Izakaya food. Service was impeccable and we absolutely loved the ambiance / atmosphere.

An absolutely lovely japanese restaurant with large variety of options for vegans and vegetarians . Recommended menus: Tofu soy hot pot, Agedashi tofu, ramen salad,

A very local and unique experience. We had to specifically make our way to Hirafu for the meal but it was worth it. The restaurant is very close to the Hirafu Intersection. It opened at 6. Before that, we had to wait outside in the snow. But it was worth the wait. There was this normal seating area and this tatami area. For a more local experience, go for the tatami area, which we had. Though it meant we had to kneel to eat, we were eager to try the local way. Our table was right next to a cast iron wood-burning fireplace / burner. Which made the atmosphere more ambient. We ordered the sashimi bowl, oysters, dumplings and the wagyu beef shabu shabu. The sashimi and oysters were fresh and delicious. The beef was really tender. Just that the food was on the pricier side. The overall experience was really delightful.

Dinner was not bad at all…….food was quite decent, the ramen salad was “interesting” in a good way…..it was kind of like cold noodles with toppings and sesame sauce…..sake and umeshu was pretty good here……..sashimi was acceptable not excellent quality but it was okay……service wise it might take some time for the staff members to take your orders, as they are a bit understaffed…….The menu can be quite limited compared to other izakiya place…..

First night at Niseko, guess food here in the village is quite small portion for the price. In and out meal for us, as portion is tapas size. :) went to convenience store to eat more after.

Kougetsu is a family-run Izakaya located in the heart of Hirafu. As soon as we went into the restaurant, we immediately fell in love with the intimate atmosphere and were greeted with warm smiles. We ordered a tofu hotpot, two appetizers (burdock roots and edamame) and karage for my omnivorous partner. The appetizers were small but the flavors were great. We both loved the burdock root a lot. You can also order 4 appetizers for 1000 yen as well, which is a steal! The tofu hotpot was also amazing. The soup looked simple but the flavors were definitely not. The sweetness of the vegetables and rich flavors of the soy tofu blended really well together. It was the perfect dish to get to wrap up the day. If you ever feel like going to a local bar for some drinks and food, I highly recommend you give Kougetsu a try! I know we’ll definitely be coming back here again! AMAZING!!! This has to be the best sushi I’ve had in my life and I’ve eaten sushi all over Japan and other parts of the world. Every piece is sushi was so good. This is my second time at this restaurant and the quality and attention to detail was beyond expectations both times. I highly recommend this place.

A most amazing omakase meal. Two chefs making each course, piece by piece in front of you. A small and intimate experience with a fine selection of sake and other drinks to choose from. I actually started crying - it was so absolutely delicious and a beautiful restaurant. For a special occasion this is the only place to go.

Amazing omakase experience! Chefs were very polite and made great lengths to help us figure out the English name for each fish/seafood type. Perfect amount of food and a wonderful tour of local seafood types. Might never experience something this legit again! Highly recommend🤤

This omakase was the highlight of our time dining out in Hirafu. Chef Isono and his sous chef are fantastic, very welcoming and masters at what they do. This was by far the best sushi we had while in Hokkaido, the highest quality local ingredients, skillfully prepared and served. The drink options were also great! We were celebrating our honeymoon and they made the entire dining experience feel very special. We will definitely return next time we’re in town.

Sushi Shin by Miyakawa Niseko, also known as 鮨 心 by 宮川 ニセコ, is a top-notch sushi restaurant owned by Master Chef Masaaki Miyakawa. With over thirty years of experience, the chef prepares traditional Edo-style sushi using high-quality ingredients primarily sourced from Hokkaido and other parts of Japan.
Incredible experience with Head Chef Takeshi Ikuta. Some of the best sushis I have ever eaten. We had an amazing evening. Merci beaucoup!
Antoine L — Google review
I’ve been to more than 40 omakase sushi restaurants, would say this is one of the worst. Totally don’t recommend. Firstly, the service really sucks. We ordered two sake in total and they never pour for us. Not even once. Also, they never top up our ginger. Attitude was bad as well. Secondly, the food tasted really average. My hokkigai even have an unpleasant taste. There’s no highlight at all on the menu. This omakase menu cost $400-500 Singapore dollar per pax. With this pricing, you can get something better.
X — Google review
Food was delicious. Each appraiser served was like a piece of art. And our sushi to follow was delicious. I would've liked to see scallop, which Hokkaido is famous for, but the abalone was a nice surprise Our sushi chef was a bit shy and you had to ask a lot of questions to get him to engage, even when he wasn't actively making anything. But if you get the head chef, he engaged freely with the customers. Pricing was a bit high, despite it being an omakase. This was really my only qualm.
Inge Z — Google review
Very fresh and good omakase. Price is about $400/person. The team are friendly and supportive. Not allowing kids under 14 unless you book private rooms or full 8 desks but no kids menu
Thuy H — Google review
Excellent high end omakase here. I’ve been to similar omakases in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Honolulu which all have very well regarded ones and this one matched up for sure. With current usd exchange rates it is comparable in price to the ones I’ve been too. Once the exchange rate changes though that will change too. Highlights beyond the delicious sushi were the uni rice and abalone dish.
James L — Google review
A very nice experience after a hard day of skiing. We were impressed by the level of attention, care and detail throughout the meal. A worthwhile stop for your trip in Niseko
Anthony F — Google review
Wonderful food by a wonderful Chef. People who do not know the nuances of sushi would not be able to fully enjoy the experience here as the Chef is crazy talented. The way he does his sushi flips are amazing, transitioning from various methods for different fishes with amazing finesse, watching him is simply a visual symphony. The dishes were all perfectly prepared, with my personal favourite being the steamed abalone served with its own liver sauce cooked to creamy perfection, almost like a French style sauce. He seems like a shy Chef but when you start to open him up by asking him questions and showing interest in the meal, the night is transformed to one filled with laughter and good times! Shari is not very strong as it is more on the sweeter side and not sharp. But it’s texture pairs well with fishes that he chose which are lovely. Overall, a definite must try if your in Hokkaido and looking for some really solid Omakase.

Tempura restaurant
Tempura Araki is a top-notch omakase restaurant located inside the Setsu Hotel. The dining experience is characterized by timely service, with all guests being served at once. The chefs prepare each course in front of diners, ensuring incredibly fresh and delicious food. Despite the high price point, the attention to detail in preparation and presentation makes it well worth the cost. The staff are accommodating and attentive, even catering to minor food allergies.
We were blown away, the tempuras were very well prepared and we absolutely loved the half cooked prawns and scallop. Portions were generous and the desert (sweet potato tempura with Hokkaido milk soft serve... sweet potato was sweeter than the ice cream??!) was a highlight! With the limited options in Niseko (which are usually a tourist trap), the ¥30,000 per person paid were absolutely worth it in our opinion.
Li F — Google review
Beyond amazing. Everything was to die for but especially the sweet potato and ice cream was the highlight of the meal. My friend booked this in advance and we skied down and took the shuttle to Setsu in time for lunch. Lunch is served for all guests at the same time so please don’t be late.
M. N — Google review
Paying JPY 30,000 per person, I think we can get 1 whole piece of scallop instead of half of it? There was more than 1 dish that I got only half a piece instead on the whole thing.
Kenneth N — Google review
Nearly all the good restaurants in Niseko are expensive, and Araki is no exception. But I feel that their tempura omakase is probably the best out of all the fine dining options here and well worth the price. Comparable to any high end tempura restaurant in Tokyo or Osaka. Highly recommended!
Terence F — Google review
We were a few minutes late to our reservation but they were very accommodating. Although we couldn’t speak Japanese, the chef could speak a little bit of English and had a pocket translator ready and was able to explain to us each dish we were served! Every dish was freshly battered and fried and served for instant consumption. There was a small surprise for birthdays as well!
Valducky — Google review
Great food and service. There are two options of omakase you can order. We had the bigger menu. A 12-13 pieces of tempura and the finale was a bowl of tendon drizzle with yummy sauce.
Pris L — Google review
Best Tempura Omakase! The restaurant is located inside the setsu hotel so you can get there early and hang out in the beautiful lounge. This omakase restaurant serves all guests at once, so it is important to be timely to your reservation. The chefs are cooking each coarse in front of you and everything is incredibly fresh. The staff was incredibly nice and let us know how to eat each serving. All dishes were presented beautifly, my favorites were the mackerel (so light and delicate), Sticky Rice Dried Sea Cucumber Ovaries (never had anything like this before), tempura rice bowl (ours had shrimp and scallop), the homemade icecream with tempura sweet (perfect desert). We arrived at 5:30pm and finished our meal at 7pm. This place is a gem!

Rera Sushi Japanese Restaurant is a traditional sushi spot located on the second floor of the Hilton. It offers an all-you-can-eat lunch with a time limit and a fairly limited selection of fresh ocean delicacies. The experienced sushi masters prepare tasty morsels that enhance the delicate flavors of the daily bounty from the sea. The restaurant provides an amazing dining experience, with friendly chefs who generously share stories about the seafood and accommodate non-raw options for those who don't eat raw seafood.
We had an excellent server when ordering Al la carte for dinner. She did a great job explaining the menu to us. The chefs also produced an excellent product in terms of the actual sushi!

Food was really good and they even catered to a halal diet request. Service was excellent from Banzo and food prepared by Yushi was delicious. Communication was great with the sushi chef checking in with us whether wasabi was okay with our food etc. It wasn't crowded when we went but we had a great time there. Pricey but what else can you expect hahaha it's in a hotel. Banzo was great and extremely attentive to our needs and not overbearing. 10/10 service!!! Felt super welcome even though I wasn't a hotel guest

An amazing dining experience! My mom doesn’t eat raw seafood so she couldn’t order the set menu, but the head chef very kindly pointed out the non-raw options on the menu, recommended what we could order for her and made sure my mom still has good sushi experience by giving her the miso soup, dessert (yuzu ice cream), sencha for free that my dad and I had from the set menu! The chef is very friendly and generously shares with us the stories about the seafood. The seafood was of high quality too - it just melted in our mouths! Super attentive service and would highly recommend this restaurant to those staying at Hilton/Niseko Village.

Rera Sushi’s all-you-can-eat lunch special for 5000 yen is a fantastic deal. While the fish isn’t top-tier, the variety and value make it well worth it. A great spot if you’re looking for a satisfying sushi experience without breaking the bank.
Amy S — Google review
Located on the second floor of the Hilton, this small 22 seat restaurant offers an all you can eat lunch with a 60 min time limit. Upon arrival, a five piece plate of sushi was served and we were free to order there after. The selection was fairly limited. Salmon, tuna, squid, octopus, mackerel, shrimp, scallop, tamago and maybe one or two others. We just kept ordering them as is and grilled. I ended up eating about 40 pieces, and for 3500 yen that's pretty good. The fish wasn't fantastic but overall, this exceeded my expectations.
Yameki J — Google review
Offers all you can eat sushi. Orders must be fully consumed before new orders can be made. Sushi is average standard. Nice cozy sitting. Has counter sitting. Worthwhile if you are really hungry or have a good appetite.
Edward Y — Google review
Wonderful selection of Hokkaido's best seafood. Carefully prepared by a world-renowned sushi chef. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the customers had a really good time.
Hello H — Google review
While our chef was really friendly, the omakase experience was overall super disappointing. Pre-sliced fish was just taken out of a box in the fridge and put on a piece of rice. Starter was watery and bland - clearly premade and pulled out of the fridge, desert was a scoop of ice cream. We have pretty good sushi in Canada, so paying ~5x more per piece for mediocre quality and an out-of-the-fridge “omakase” experience was a hard pill to swallow. We went to the Lawsons to grab a 10-piece salmon sushi set after our meal - it was much more satisfying…

It’s normal that cafe food at ski resorts is average at best. This Japanese restaurant is very close to the main ski lift base & hence very busy during lunches. If we take the sub-par food quality at ski resort as benchmark, the food here was not bad but certainly not comparable to many normal sushi restaurants outside the ski resorts. Prices were not that cheap but acceptable.

The sushi restaurant, たる鮨, offers a delightful omakase experience. To secure a spot at this traditional establishment in Kutchan, it is advisable to make a reservation well in advance through WhatsApp as there are only six counter seats available. The sashimi served here is exceptionally fresh and the chef, Hiro, is accommodating to individual preferences. It's worth noting that squid is not included for those who are not fans of it.
Amazing place and one of our must go places for sushi every time we come to Niseko. The shop is small but serves great food with top notch service. Thank you for being such a core staple for our yearly ski trips and we can't wait to come back here yet again...10+ years and counting.

This is the best sushi I have had after 2 weeks in Hokkaido! We were driving through Kutchan and showed up when they opened. We did not know they are by reservation only! They were so gracious and went ahead and served me, my two boys and my spouse. This place has a small room that holds 4 and 4 stools at a bar. The sashimi was so fresh! My husband loved the cucumber and perilla rolls and kept commenting on how wonderful and subtle the flavors of the rolls and sushi were. The fish was so good I got my 8 and 11 year old Iowan boys to try it! Would come again for sure. This is a small place, with warm people and a master chef.

When we visited, all of the customers were Japanese, and even though we were in the Niseko area, the prices were set at a reasonable price for normal Japanese customers. I especially recommend the deep-fried onions that look like they've bloomed flowers, and the crispy potatoes. Kaiseki restaurant
Japanese restaurant
The kaiseki restaurant, known as 日本料理 佐藤, offers delectable cuisine that is both tasty and enjoyable. The sake served here is of excellent quality, and the overall ambiance creates a pleasant atmosphere. The staff members are highly skilled and provide exceptional service, particularly the young female employees who are always eager to assist with menu selections. Additionally, the prices charged at this establishment are reasonable and affordable.
Cosy little place for dinner! The fried chicken wings was very crispy and tasty. Bara chirashi don portion was generous, we enjoyed that very much. It was served with a small bowl of clam soup on the side and this soup was delicious! We also ordered tempura and some sushi and they were good too but we found the sushi a little pricey so we didn't order too much of it... Service was prompt and friendly.

A cute omakase joint that seems to me like its a family run business, with really pleasant folks that made our Niseko trip memorable. We chanced upon this place by walking in at opening time when it was empty. The 12 piece omakase set along with ala carte items were reasonably priced and had other tempura / fried / cooked items to pair along with it too. It was so awesome that we went back again! Would visit next time round :)

Very cozy restaurant for a japaneese food experience - the sushi is made just in front of you with amazing fish and sea food tempura.

One of the more reasonably priced sushi spot in Kutchan. Fresh ingredients, recommend the abalone sashimi and oysters in miso sauce for hot dish

We discovered this little gem of a sushi restaurant while looking for dinner venues in kutchan. The sushi was very fresh and delicious. We found the pricing for this quality of sushi to be reasonable. We ordered a sushi set each and were not disappointed. We also tried the tempura which was light and fresh. The chef and waitress were both friendly and concerned about making us feel comfortable. Overall an excellent venue for a quiet dinner with great food. I would recommend it.

Very delicious food, nice sake, good atmosphere, professional service (the young girls staff, always helping us for the menu), acceptable prices.

Beautiful food, great service and a cute atmosphere!!
Oscar J — Google review
While the food and service were good, this place has unfortunately chosen to show foreigners a very over-priced English menu, which for our group came out to almost ¥15,000 per head, while locals are eating the same food here for about ¥3,000-¥4,000 per head. You don't pay ¥15,000 per head for sushi unless it's Michelin quality in Tokyo! As another poster said, beware and ask for Japanese menu!

Izakaya restaurant
Hirafuzaka is a charming Japanese Izakaya-style diner located on the 2nd floor of Chalet Ivy in central Hirafu. It offers a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, including udon, curry, ramen, rice bowls, pasta, and pizza. The restaurant is popular for its outstanding buffet breakfast and calm dinner environment. Guests can enjoy a wide range of food options at reasonable prices.
Near the hirafu welcome centre. Serves reasonable priced food. I ordered the udon & Katsudon and I loved it. If you are nearby niseko and want to find somewhere cheap and good to eat, this is it. You can make a reservation too but I walked in for dinner at 730pm and was given a seat for 4 pax immediately.

This was a welcome break from yummy Japanese for my 9 year old. The chicken schnitzel did marvels, the Hokkaido potatoes and cheese were delightful and my Niçoise salad was very well executed — with just a reservation on the canned black olives. The waiting staff were prompt and friendly. The setting was quiet as the restaurant apparently only caters to hotel guests in the evening and does not accept walk-ins (we had an Internet booking). Had a good time and would recommend.

Ordered the hotpot seafood 9800yen and Pork 7000yen ramen was good. Rice was serve cold. Portion is not really for 3-4pax. Pork was like very few thin pieces. Seafood hotpot was good. 3pieces of big fresh scallop, prawns, fish and crab. Way better value than the pork as you can see in the photo. Rice was only one portion, won’t be enough for 3-4pax. Matcha icecream was good.

Being a guest of Chalet Ivy hotel, I usually take their buffet breakfast at Hirafuzaka. Their breakfast is outstanding in terms of food variety, quality and dinning environment in this region. It is 5 stars. For their dinner, it provides a calm environment to diners. Their menu is not expensive. For fried whole fish, only charge you ¥2k. Very nicely prepared. For Sushi, it is normally expensive and poorly served by restauants at this region. Fish is not fresh and the sushi rice is too big. Conclusively, I like their breakfast better.
Jacob L — Google review
The service was good. Food was fine. Potatoes with cheese and steamed rice were two best dishes. Roasted beef is chilled roast beef. Soft serve ice cream was good. Tried chocolate and red bean were both good.

We stayed Hirafuzaka for a week in March (booked half board). We enjoyed great variety of dishes every day after coming back from skiing! Really had a good time!

I don't understand the 3.6 rating. My visit is in early June when there is very few people around. My goodness. Food is amazingly good. Sure, the price may be higher than those you find on the main road, but the quality is freaking awesome! Unfortunately I didn't snap pictures of the breakfast. Every single item is fresh and top notch. The coffee is UCC. Service is great and attentive to every single detail.

Visited Niseko for the first time and I have to say the food was spectacular! We were lucky to get a table. Everyone was so nice and so informative. The manager kept checking on us and made us feel right at home. Seafood hot pot was fantastic with real Hokkaido seafood. We ordered with udon...also get their soft-serve.. Comes with a waffle cone Definitely recommend cash/cc friendly

MAME Niseko is a restaurant located in Kutchan-cho, near the Niseko United ski area. The downtown area of Kutchan is about 6km from Niseko Hanazono and 7km from Hirafu, making it a convenient dining option for visitors to these areas. The restaurant offers Japanese cuisine and is situated on the first floor of Dharna Niseko.
An absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience. The food was amongst the best food we have ever had. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, while maintaining a clear elegant modern feel. The service was extremely attentive and on point. Just one note: we don’t eat meat so we skipped the Wagyu beef course and got a wonderful red snapper dish instead. Can’t speak about the meat but the fish and vegetable dishes were perfect.

A true gem in Niseko. Dad and I were looking for a place to celebrate mum’s birthday and was blessed to secure a spot at Mame – thanks to the kind team at Ritz for helping with the reservation. Each course was thoughtfully curated and accentuated by the choice of ingredients, the combination of flavours quietly reflecting Chef Endo’s depth of training and culinary influences. Erika also very kindly explained to us the local specialties. Loved the rendition of ceviche soup, perfect balance of tang and sweetness, paired beautifully with the fish. Also appreciate the little but significant touches e.g. the house-made ‘better-than-bonito’ flakes (will leave this as a surprise for your own visit!) and their clean, delicate ginger. The team added a lovely celebratory gesture at the end of our dinner. Safe to say mum was wonderfully surprised and we all left with very happy bellies. They really delivered. Thoroughly enjoyed every dish. And of course, the sweetest mademoiselle Mame who kept us company throughout the evening. A place we’d gladly return to. Would recommend to anyone looking for an intentional, well-executed meal. Best to book ahead.

Absolutely lovely experience. After graciously letting me attend their tasting menu after i accidentally made a reservation for a later date I had a great time. The menu is tight, well executed, and incorporates both Japanese and international tastes. The biggest stand outs for me personally were the foie scallop truffle dish , nori tacos and the ceviche broth. Not a single bad dish was had. Would definitely attend again.

Extremely happy with our experience at MAME, great food and well prepared and balanced. Truly a gem in Niseko and definitely the highlight of our trip!

All out fine dinning experience in niseko. +400 AUD per head and cheapest bottle of wine AUD 150 but all of it is delicious and amazing. Service starts promptly so don’t be late but overall evenly paced. The head chef feels like a celebrity as guests mostly affluent tourists invite the chef to drink a glass with him. Serving sizes are bang on with the sushi to finish impossible to fault. Menu is set and all guests eat the same selection for the day.

lucky enough to say we’ve had a lot of amazing tasting menus before, and this is absolutely one of the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. the timing of each dish is perfect. not too fast, not too slow. chef and his team execute each dish so perfectly and nothing is over complicated, all the ingredients shine. the scallop and foie gras bite is something I’ll be thinking about for a long time. and THE DESSERT!!!, the best chocolate dish i’ve ever tasted!!!! arigato gozai masu mame team, we loved it! 10/10

I recently dined at Mame Niseko, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, though there were a few areas that could be improved. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with a modern touch, and the staff provided excellent service from the moment we arrived. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our meal. The menu offers a variety of enticing dishes, and we were excited to try their highly recommended Wagyu beef. Unfortunately, this was where our experience fell short. The Wagyu, known for its rich marbling and tenderness, was unfortunately overcooked when it first arrived. We politely asked for it to be replaced, hoping for a better result, but even after the second attempt, it was still overdone. Given the premium nature of Wagyu, we expected it to be prepared with more care to highlight its quality. That said, the staff handled our concerns with professionalism and genuinely tried to make things right, which we truly appreciated. Their attentive service definitely stood out, as they were apologetic and eager to ensure our satisfaction. Aside from the Wagyu, the other dishes we ordered were flavorful and well-prepared. The presentation was beautiful, and the fresh ingredients really shone through in every bite. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy a meal. While I’m giving Mame Niseko a 3-star rating due to the issue with the Wagyu beef, I’d still recommend the restaurant for its excellent service and cozy atmosphere. I hope they can improve on the consistency of their Wagyu preparation, as it has the potential to be outstanding. I’d consider giving it another try in the future.

寿都 魚一心 is a spacious seafood restaurant located in Niseko Town, known for its fresh local seafood sourced from the nearby town of Suttsu. Despite not offering omakaze during peak snow season, it provides a good selection of menu items such as sashimi, sushi, set dinners, and fried mackerel.
Okay I’m not sure what goes wrong with the rating. But this restaurant must be a 4 star+. The dinner is a bit expensive but the quality is above average! The lunch is a very good deal! You can have a full set meal with the price of a curry rice at the ski restaurant! And it just 5-10 minutes drive! And most importantly their service is the ‘standard’ Japanese service quality! Even in this area full of foreign customers!

Food is super fresh! And the price is incredibly good. We ordered at grilled Arka Mackerel fish. Tender and flavorful. Never had anything like it. The sushi set is delicious. The uni and ikura don is fresh and fragrant. No fishy smell at all. Highly recommend.

We came first day without reservations and was rejected. The guy told us they are fully reserved (whole place is empty) and can’t take us or allow take away. We left and made reservations for next day. (Honestly we went opposite 7-11 and don’t see many cars arrive after we left) 2nd day, we came with reservations. Food is delicious. We ordered salmon sushi, tuna sashimi, snow crab tempura and sukiyaki. Price mid to high

Food was good but a bit expensive which may be why the rating is not high. Would give it a 4+ for food. The tables are set up so you are in private rooms which is nice. We came here as Jimin and Jungkook dined here. It’s a short drive from Niseko I would return if in the area.
Denise — Google review
Came here as it is near our hotel and there’s a 7-11 right opposite so we could get some snacks after dinner. Food is ok, note there is a cover charge of 450 yen per pax if you order alcohol( which includes a small side dish) , you will be able to catch a nice view of mt yotei right outside the restaurant .
Connie T — Google review
Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant after some of our initial choices were quite fully booked for the night. A short drive away near to Niseko village , this restaurant is very spacious and large. There is a good selection on the menu though their omakaze option was not available. So we just ordered some of their main items ie shashimi, sushi, a couple of set dinners , a fried mackerel etc. food turned out to be quite decent and good . Pricing is slightly higher but probably overall still worth it. I would recommend this place if you want some nice sushi and sashimi.
KP L — Google review
A restaurant with really poor/slow service in general. Our orders took upwards of 30 minutes to arrive and some parts of it even got left out. Special requests such as no wasabi on the Sushi were also not followed. The Sushi and sashimi were of decent quality and were definitely priced well affordably. The ice cream dessert was also quite tasty. Overall, not worth the travel time and the wait for slightly above average food.
Seth C — Google review
Recommend the cooked dishes instead of sashimi and sushi. Grill fish, mentaiko tempura, crab croquettes and butter potato are really delicious. No omakase supplying during peak snow season, not difficult to reserve a table.

Seafood restaurant
Sushi Mitsukawa is a renowned sushi restaurant with its main location in Ishikawa Prefecture's Higashi Chaya district and a branch at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono. The Niseko branch offers stunning views of Niseko and serves highly acclaimed Michelin-star Edomae-sushi. Guests have praised the exceptional dining experience, with personalized vegetarian tasting menus available upon request.
I think the negative reviews must be fake, because of all the sushi omakase restaurants we went to during our 10 days in Japan, this one surprisingly was one of the best if not the best. The fish was super fresh, tasty, not one bad bite. We also went to others that were much more expensive and less experience and this place still was the best. Highly recommend.
J J — Google review
The sushi was disappointingly mediocre. The tuna lacked any distinct flavor, and the otoro was falling apart with tendons within it. I was surprised to be served salmon at a high-end sushiya. The service was rushed—so much so that we finished our meal, including a full bottle of sake, in under an hour. Extremely unsatisfying dining experience.
Kenneth L — Google review
Need advance booking. We had omakase lunch. Food is alright and as expected from fresh Hokkaido produce.
Luvena K — Google review
Absolute Scam – Avoid at All Costs Sushi Mitsukawa at Park Hyatt Hanazono is an insult to the concept of omakase. At $300 per person, this should be an elite, precision-driven dining experience. Instead, what I got was a shameless cash grab that completely fails to justify its price. 1. Serving Salmon in Omakase? A Joke. No legitimate omakase restaurant serves salmon—it’s a cheap, low-tier fish that has no place in a high-end sushi course. The fact that it was included here tells me everything I need to know about their lack of authenticity and culinary expertise. 2. A Clueless, Amateur Chef I was served by a chef who was clearly in training, fumbling through the entire meal. This is unacceptable at an omakase restaurant. If I wanted to be a guinea pig for someone learning how to make sushi, I wouldn’t be paying a premium price for it. 3. A Sushi Disaster – Can’t Even Roll Sushi Properly I ordered an ikura add-on roll, and it fell apart before I could even pick it up. This is basic sushi-making 101, yet they couldn’t get it right. If a place can’t even roll sushi properly, it has no business charging high-end prices. 4. Warm, Flavorless Rice – A Cardinal Sin Sushi rice is the foundation of any omakase meal, and they utterly failed here. The rice was warm, mushy, and lacked vinegar seasoning—completely ruining. We went there as a group of 6 and spent close to $1800 USD and it’s not worth it. A $70 omakase in Singapore experience is so much better.
Caspar N — Google review
This restaurant only exists to scam the uneducated nouveau rich staying in Park Hyatt. Ate there on 4th Feb for dinner. Paid 30000JPY++ per pax for 6 people. Food was terrible. Worst sushi experience I have ever had in Japan, before even mentioning the price. Rice was unseasoned with no vinegar, tasted like plain white rice. For some strange reason all the rice in my sushi was served scalding hot. Salmon sushi was served, tasted terrible. Otoro was a strange cut with tendons inside. Strangely, cooked boiled shrimp sushi was served, was absolutely tasteless. Ikura roll was falling apart, with soggy seaweed instead of crispy. Conger eel was overcooked and tasteless. The chef didn’t even know where to find the tuna for the negitoro, he was fumbling around in the cabinets until the other chef had to step in and help him take it out. I had better sushi from Lawsons at niseko village
Paul M — Google review
My experience at Sushi Mitsukawa was deeply disappointing, not because of the food—which was excellent—but due to an unresolved issue with a double charge. I made a full prepayment for my reservation (JPY 84,700) well in advance via TableCheck, but I was charged again at the restaurant (JPY 94,017), including the same base amount plus additional à la carte items. I was told the prepayment would be refunded, but months later, no refund has been processed. Despite several polite follow-ups and providing proof of payment, I’ve received no resolution or meaningful communication. This lack of accountability has been disheartening, especially from a restaurant of such high reputation. I hope this feedback encourages better service and transparency in handling payment-related issues.
PAPADADA — Google review
Phenomenal experience!!! I emailed in advance asking if they could accommodate a vegetarian and they created a whole separate tasting menu for me that was entirely veggie based. My partner had the regular menu and loved it too. A truly unique experience that is worth the price. Each bite is prepared right in front of you with such creativity and care. If you are looking to splurge this is definitely the place to do it. Reservations are necessary as it’s a tiny restaurant. Loved everything about it.

Sushi Azabu NISEKO is a remarkable addition to the culinary scene, having opened its doors in January 2025. This intimate sushi haven, located on the fifth floor with convenient elevator access, offers an unforgettable omakase experience that showcases incredibly fresh and unique sushi and sashimi. The warm hospitality from Mr. Ken and his friendly staff enhances the dining atmosphere, making every guest feel welcomed and happy.
One of the most memorable sushi experiences of my life. I have eaten sushi at many amazing places and this by far was the BEST!!! The service was impeccable and the sushi was something I will never forget. The restaurant is beautiful with a view of Mount Yotei. I look forward to coming back soon. It’s a must and the best restaurant in Niseko.

Intimate sushi restaurant new to the slopes. $250 AUD per head which seems reasonable for what you get. You do not leave hungry. All dishes were perfect, could not fault. The chef made a few mistakes which was odd to see, dropping a few items but overall very professional. Room was small with two service counters. Atmosphere was quiet maybe a bit of background music would fix that. Lobster was the winner here.

Great Omakase meal in Niseko. The ingredients were top notch and particularly enjoyed the lobster miso.
Christopher L — Google review
Great spot, exceptional quality of food. Won’t be back though for 2 reasons. Favorite part of the meal was the uni and the tray of unique sake glasses you can pick from when you order a sake. Such a fun touch 1) Pretty limited quantity of food. Not sure why people are saying you won’t leave hungry. After the experience, my group and I went to a nearby restaurant and ate another full meal (multiple appetizers, entree, etc.). Most omakase places I’ve been have more filler (more rice, some sort of larger dish, or at least the option to request additional cheap carbs to help fill you up). I asked for a bowl of rice and was given a bite sized ball of it. Some review pics include a larger dish or 2, but this was not what we got. 2) Someone on the complete other side of the restaurant was shouting about US politics for the last 30 minutes of the night. The restaurant made no effort to shut him up, despite it clearly bothering the rest of the restaurant. Not sure why they didn’t make an effort to do so. Here’s what we were served: Fish cake with crab sauce Yellowtail (cooked) Tuna handroll Hokkaido shrimp Red snapper Striped jack Scallop (cooked) Trout Sakamushi (steamed clam) Shiitake mushroom Maguro akami Chutoro Shad Salmon roe Toro taku Miso soup Eel Uni (additional 3000 yen, very large portion compared to neighboring restaurants) Tamago (or similar) Total price out the door was 70k yen

This Omakase just opened in January 2025. Its taste is really AMAZING !!!! 😍 All of Sushi bites, Sashimi and other Japanese dishes are SUPER FRESH and UNIQUE. The restaurant is located on the fifth floor (elevator provided). Mr. Ken and other staffs are so helpful, friendly and keep smiling all the time which make us so happy💘. Now they serve only dinner in January and they will start serving both LUNCH and DINNER in February 2025 onward. I don't have any pictures to show because I think that its taste is just like other Omakase which is totally wrong. Surprisingly it's GREAT !!!😋 I enjoy eating a lot and completely forget to take pictures😄 Therefore I finally 1000% recommend you that Sushi Azabu NISEKO is the BEST in Niseko area. It goes beyond your expectation !!! Come and Try and you won't regret 👍👍👍

Guests have praised the spaciousness of the rooms, even in smaller units, and highlighted the convenience of having a full kitchen. The comfortable beds ensure restful nights after days filled with adventure. One standout feature is the exceptional staff who go above and beyond to assist guests, especially during challenging times like health issues.
Although we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, it felt quite spacious even though we had to stay for 2 weeks due to health issues. The full kitchen is especially useful and the bed was very comfortable. What was the highlight, however, were the staff who took great care of us and helped us a lot when my partner was ill and helped us with going to the doctor's and many other things. We were super happy with our choice to stay at Hinzan. The location couldn't be better- 800m from the Grand Hirafu Base chairlift and a 5-minute walk to some of the best restaurants and bars in town. The apartment was cozy and the decor was stylish, with ambient lighting. We stayed in the 201 studio unit which has both a shower and a bathtub (the 3rd and 4th floor units have showers only I believe). There were a few food essentials in the fridge upon our arrival which we appreciated after getting in late and wanting to get an early start skiing in the morning (also a Nespresso machine). The management was highly attentive; welcoming us upon arrival, returning messages promptly and addressing a few of our small concerns. The sunrise view from bed on a snowy morning was spectacular! Highly recommended!

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and stayed for 6 nights. Housekeeping is provided only on alternate days and almost everything is equipped and provided for home cooking. Extremely disappointed this time. Used to get home catering with a chef and an assistant to my house to cook nice meals. This time, for the same price which is very expensive, just home delivery the food and came about 2 hours late with some cheap shabu shabu usual stuff like beef, chicken and pork with lots of standard vegetables. The sushi restaurant Fuji Sushi Niseko Branch offers excellent food and prompt service. It is the sole open eatery on a Sunday evening along Kutchan's main street in early June, implying that other restaurants may only operate during ski season. Despite arriving just 20 minutes before closing, they still managed to accommodate and serve promptly. Their dinner set meals, particularly the seafood options, are reasonably priced.
We loved This place, it was located in a perfect spot. We just happened to walk by and went in. So Happy we chose this place to eat. The food was amazing and great amount for the price. Wish we had gone here sooner. Hope you get to enjoy it someday soon. We had a great window seat with a nice view. The 4 of us had a great time. Aloha and Mahalo Renae Lani Anderson

Went there twice for lunch during a ski trip at Niseko. Prices are high compared to Sapporo, but that is true everywhere in Niseko. The sushi and sashimi were really good. Service was good. But not as attentive as could be, given the price range this restaurant was in. The holder of my hand roll could have been a bit cleaner as well.

Been here twice. Food was good and the staff were nice as well. Must try the salmon sashimi it was very fresh and also i love the tempura.

Not sure about others - but our experience was one nothing short of a tragedy. First the waiting space was cold, small and honestly no staff came to kindly inform any waiting time despite our requests. Next - food is exorbitantly priced , it’s self proclaimed famed food, sushi, was about 80USD for the set. 8 pieces of Mediocare average tasting sushi. We said we would like wasabi in the sushi - a staple for sushi - there was NONE. We ordered at 6.30pm, and tables who were sat and ordered after 6.30pm was served the exact same set before us. Confused, I tried to approach the staff to ask as it had been about half an hour of waiting by then, they brushed it off lightly without stopping saying coming coming. Terrible service despite the numerous waiters. If you’re starving and there’s absolutely no where to eat, you’d be better off going to the opposite convenience store buying a bento or nigiri, that would taste infinite times better.

The bowls are very good. Sushi is rather mid. Prices are not cheap for.the prime location. Tempura is very good too.

We've been to Niseko multiple times and finally decided to give this sushi joint a go. It was lunch time and easy to get a table - note that they don't take reservations for lunch (not sure about dinner). The seafood was very very fresh and of excellent quality. We left with a full and happy belly. Bill came to ¥260,000 for 2 adults and 2 children so while it was an expensive lunch, it was worth the indulgence.

Delicious sashimi. Super fresh. We had the uni bowl and ikura bowl too which was so decadent. Sukiyaki was also fantastic. We really enjoyed our meal if a bit expensive. Worth it though. Would come back!

If you're looking for a lively dining experience in Niseko, look no further than 潮彩船長 (Senchou 2). This spacious restaurant is perfect for larger groups, offering cozy private rooms where you can enjoy your meal without worrying about disturbing others. While the seafood dons may not feature sushi rice, the grilled seafood is definitely a highlight. Located conveniently along the main road to Grand Hirafu, it boasts ample seating that helps avoid long waits during peak dinner hours.
Come again after my March visit. Fair price at Niseko. Must try the squid!!

Good sushi. Good creamy uni. Service a little slow on their 'Special' fish & chips, otherwise service good. There is an additional Service Charge.

The place accommodated our large group of 10 and gave us a cosy private room to be noisy in, which was really nice! Food however, was hit or miss and in general, quite expensive (although it's probably a tourist premium). The seafood dons were alright (they didn't use sushi rice, but the grilled seafood was great.

The sashimi here is as good as I have ever tasted. Pleasant atmosphere although, don't sit too close to the door if you are prone to the chills. Overall great experience and friendly wait staff.

Food was just okay compared to Japanese usual excellent standards. Service poor, inattentive staff and all dishes delivered at same time, resulting in an overcrowded table and rushed dining experience. The crowning glory was the haze of cooking smoke that fillled the restaurant, resulting in us enjoying the aroma from our clothes the following morning. Definitely our worst Niseko dining experience after 7 days here.

Fantastic price for generous cuts of fish, came back twice on our trip, thank you for having us!! P.S. Use Google translate to help communicate with them!

Reasonably priced. Service is pretty lack lustre, not very warm or welcoming. Food portions are good and it's tasty. Not blow your socks off but the sushi is fresh and for the price it's good value. The set menu option at lunch time is great as you get salad, chawamushi, dessert, coffee, tempura, soup and sushi all for about 1700 yen.

Chiharu Zushi is a small and cozy family sushi restaurant located in Kutchan-cho, Hokkaido. The head chef is known for his charismatic personality and skill in preparing freshly made sushi. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, with limited English spoken, adding to its authentic charm. Guests are recommended to make reservations in advance due to its popularity. The menu features a variety of delicious options, including the highly praised fatty tuna and scallop sashimi.
A great small family run sushi restaurant that requires a reservation which is very difficult to secure. The owner/chef and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The quality of the sushi and other food is really good. Tried the sushi omakase and it was amazing. Also tried other cooked food and was equally good. Don’t go without a reservation or you will be disappointed.

Very friendly staff even though they use limited english, but still very welcoming! The food was spectacular, very fresh, tho a little bit on the pricier side but still very worthed! I would definitely recommend the Salmon Belly, literally melts in your mouth!

Very small and cozy place, only 3 tables and 7 bar seats. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and tasty! Steam egg came with lots of seafood inside. Services are warm and welcoming. Better reserve ahead coz lots of ppl walked in got rejected without reservation. I was lucky as I walked in early and only one person.

Authentic, tasty sushi in a traditional little restaurant. If you don’t speak Japanese have your hotel call in advance and make a reservation for you as there is limited English (loved this.) Also you will need a reservation to get in as it is a small restaurant that is very popular! It was very good sushi, but not the worlds best. Greatly preferred the atmosphere and prices here to that of Hirafu village.

A completely charming, authentic little sushi restaurant that was a hidden gem. Lovely staff who were so sweet and friendly! Beautifully delicious food, we enjoyed every morsel and would love to come back! We went there just minutes after they opened for dinner service and managed to nab some bar seats without a reservation.

Had the most amazing experience here! The restaurant is run by a couple who are the nicest and most friendly people we’ve met during our trip. There are 3 parking spots right next to the shop, but we weren’t sure if they belong to the restaurant or the shop next door. So we parked at the supermarket nearby and walked over to ask the owner. The wife drove us to the parking lot to pick up our car and park in one of their spots. They then gave us recommendations for Otaru and Sapporo and even helped us make a reservation at a popular restaurant in Otaru. As to the food, it was extremely fresh and delicious. We had the chirashi bowl and sushi set, both were great. Highly recommend!

Despite being on the pricier side, it is worth indulging in during your holiday getaway on this bustling street.
Fantastic brand new sushi restaurant in Hirafu / Niseko! We visited and had a superb set menu hosted by a head chef at the counter who was obviously only wanting the diners to enjoy their experience. Very generous with the food and drinks all waiting staff were very attentive. The experience was so good that we went back the following night. Definitely the best restaurant we visited in Niseko!
Jamie B — Google review
I feel like this place suffers from a lack of reviews. I thought the food was quite good, and while it was a bit pricier (especially given the quantity of food) - each bite was carefully constructed, and beautifully presented. The quality and execution were well done for each dish in the omakase. We got 1 each of the 10k & 15k sets. We left pleasantly satisfied. It was also really nice to be able to dine in a quiet, comfortable space with fantastic Japanese service. It was the first “calm” dining experience we’ve had in Niseko where the restaurants are usually a bit loud. It was also easy getting a reservation through table check, unlike the other restaurants. We did take a cab ride out to Hanayoshi as well. If time is an issue, or if you don’t want to spend extra $$ on a 15 min cab ride out in the snow...Wakatake would be a solid choice! It’s at the bottom of the hill in Grand Hirafu. Probably would stick to the sets and not order a la carte though as the price per nigiri is a bit steep.
S L — Google review
Delicious meal with great and friendly sushi chefs behind the counter. We had the 7 piece set course but then added another 5-6 a la carte items with a couple of the chef’s suggestions. We were very happy with our meal. Yes, it’s pricey, but so is everything on this street. Get over it, you’re on holiday!

Absolutely incredible! The cod might just be the tastiest cooked fish I’ve ever had. Presentation and service on point 👏🏼

Wandered in here the other night with three others without any idea what we were getting into. They were kind enough to fit us in despite us not having reservations and with a large group due to be arriving shortly. We were treated to the most unreal experience; Watching the precision of the chef while eating their amazing food was with every dollar spent here. The staff overall were fantastic - professional and courteous, and explained every dish to us in great detail. It's clear that they take a lot of pride here and it shows. If you're in Niseko and looking for a culinary experience like nothing else around then I highly recommend this place!

Really quite a mediocre kaiseki meal that is outrageously expensive for what you get. A sushi restaurant that serves salmon nigiri in Japan? Kinda says all you need to know about authenticity. If in Niseko and looking for decent sushi go to Hanayoshi. If you want good sushi head to Sapporo. Either way you'll do your a wallet a favour.

Crab house
Hot pot restaurant
Sushi Kato Sapporo Sake, Wine & Seafood is a must-visit for sushi lovers in Hokkaido. The restaurant offers top-notch ingredients and expertly executed preparation, with incredibly fresh sea urchin and rich toro that melts in your mouth. The crab dishes are cooked to perfection, showcasing the natural sweetness of the meat. While the prices may not be cheap, the quality taste makes it worth trying for sushi enthusiasts.
We did two omakase experiences in Sapporo, and this one was by far the best. At night, there is very little foot traffic, which is possibly why the restaurant was empty on a Wednesday. At first we were worried, but after a few courses, we enjoyed having the place to ourselves. There was an option for all you can drink, which was a great deal, as opposed to ordering sake by the glass repeatedly. We came for the crab, which was excellent, but enjoyed every course. While the uni the night before at a different restaurant was “fishy”, this evening it was perfect. While the scallop the night before was seated, this one was sashimi style and delicious. We did not leave hungry and did not need to order extra. I would give ten stars if I could. This was in my top ten, possibly top five omakases of all time.
Bill M — Google review
I was really looking forward to trying the crab here, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. Compared to all the other crab dishes I had during my trip, this was by far the least fresh. The grilled king crab lacked any aroma, and the meat was disappointingly dry instead of juicy and flavorful. As for the hairy crab, it had a fishy taste, indicating poor quality and freshness. Instead of the sweet, delicate flavor that fresh crab should have, it was unpleasant and off-putting. While the service was fine, the food quality—especially the crabs, was not up to standard. If you're looking for fresh, flavorful crab, I’d recommend trying other places instead.
Katie T — Google review
Super fresh king crab and sushi. Really enjoyed the meal. The main chef is also very friendly though we didn't speak Japanese. They had a Vietnamese server who helped us with the translation. Not cheap but food is very premium.
Patrick P — Google review
Had the set menu omakase for around 10,000 yen. Some interesting and unique dishes but for the most part you are better off to going to a good restaurant and get a great meal for 5,000 yen and save the rest of your money. Great customer service.
David T — Google review
Awesome freshness & taste! Ordered the Sea Urchin rice bowl, price varies per market price so to check before committing is fine. It was good value for the money's worth as the serving of sea urchin is generous. Comes with clam soup. Also ordered the lunch 8pc sushi set which was prepared on the spot by the chef. Egg custard & miso soup (in the set is great too!) They have another outlet at New Chitose Airport. Will consider eating there or in this outlet again! Highly recommended! PS, there's a young lady staff who spoke English. Menu is available in Japanese, English, Chinese & Korean.
FS R — Google review
Excellent service, environment, and atmosphere. Extremely high quality ingredients and preparations. Incredible value for the omakase even at ¥10,000. Highly recommend.

The food was quite fresh and great. We like Uni here with mixed of several kinds. The young service lady (Linh) was nice to explain how to eat and recommend us amazing foods. We love the atmosphere here and hope your prosperity.
Minh L — Google review
There was high expectations coming into a seafood place in Sapporo in addition to the price point at this restaurant. The service was great, but seafood bowl was extremely underwhelming, which was exacerbated by how expensive it was. None of the ingredients we had (crab, uni, ikura) tasted fresh, and the crab meat it’s known for comes from a frozen bag we saw the chef took out and put in a box. Overall it was fairly disappointing due to the food.

Popped in while exploring Kutchan for a sushi lunch. We had a really pleasant meal. The service was quick and the sushi was great value. We both got the premium nigiri set that came with a soup. The chef was friendly and we enjoyed trying their special soy sauce. The uni and salmon roe had unique flavors I enjoyed as well. Recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

Great for a lunch set menu. Sushi place but has other lunch options. Pork cutlet set is a great choice. Big portion and the pork isn’t dry, the sauce is a good amount of sweetness and it works well. The set cost 1300 which is pretty reasonable. Will be back for lunch for sure

Ume is the best hidden gem in Kutchan! The most amazing sushi at lunch time (come before they close at 1:30PM!) and excellent platters. Fab little local sushi restaurant about 10mins walk from Kutchan JR station in the snow. We stumbled across it accidentally but had a great evening with warm & funny servers and fantastic food! We got a tempura set (with soup, rice, pasta salad & veggies), medium chirashi don & top nigiri set, finishing with yellow tail and egg maki for a very reasonable ¥5000 which is half the price compared to Niseko. Sushi chef was very skilful and diligent in preparing each piece of sashimi and sushi. Make a reservation or go early in the evening for sushi, they seemed to run out by 8pm. It was all so fresh & delicious, we want to go back soon!

On arrival, you can already tell the chef is far from humble - the "awards" next to the door are literally bigger than the restaurant sign. The inside was rather cramped on entering with no division/that much space between the first bar seat and the door so it was a chilly spot. Despite the price point, portions were incredibly small. We ordered the crab menu and literally had a handful of shot glasses with bits of crab in them, and the only substantial amount of food came in the form of a noodle with no actual crab meat at the end. We just had a lot of snacks in our hotel right before dinner and were never big on appetites - even then we left the place hungry. Ignoring our pretty obvious gobsmacked faces on how little food there was, the chef told us how he was in some TV show and whether we could let him film us say something good about his restaurant. Needless to say we said no and left.
Steph Y — Google review
I wouldn’t say I’m very experienced with Japanese food, but I would definitely consider myself an objective food critic. This restaurant seems designed to cheat tourists out of their money. The prices are very high, but the food quality, quantity, and service are unmatched. I find myself questioning why I was so foolish to come here. At the end, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here. If you don’t trust me, check the photos of this restaurant you will find out not much people taking nice dishes photos and trying to show off because there’s nothing to show indeed. At the end, have you ever eat any sushi with HOT rice? I tried one time in this restaurant. And, it almost burnt my tongue. Wikipedia wouldn’t say this is normal?

Sushi Yume offers a wonderful dining environment with exceptional service. The ambiance is intimate and relaxing, making it an ideal place to enjoy sushi in Niseko. The staff were attentive, and the overall service was excellent, making us feel very welcomed. As for the food, while it was enjoyable, I do feel there is room for improvement in terms of flavor and overall taste. It’s worth noting that when I visited, the restaurant had only recently opened, so it’s understandable that some aspects might still be evolving. One of the chefs who served us had previously worked in Hong Kong for a long time and decided to return to Niseko due to the pandemic. It was clear that they put a lot of heart into the dishes, and the sushi was still good. I’m looking forward to returning on my next visit to give the restaurant another try, as I believe it has great potential and I’d love to see how it continues to develop.
