Ice cream shop
Dessert shop
Located in Rehoboth Beach, The Ice Cream Store is a popular walk-up boardwalk shop offering over 70 unique ice cream flavors, including unconventional options like spicy varieties and candy mix-ins. Established in 1970, this iconic spot has continuously evolved to offer outrageous flavor combinations with creative names. The store's owner emphasizes the innovative approach to ice cream, resulting in an extensive and ever-changing menu that includes flavors such as Motor Oil, Zombie, and Booger.
Great amount of vegan options! The coffee Royale was so creamy and smooth! They also had some gluten free options.
Lavannya — Google review
We've been coming to this store for ice cream just about every summer for over 25 years. They have both homemade and regular flavors. The homemade flavors are very tasty and have fun names like Chocolate I Don't Give a Fork and Crack. They also offer free sprinkles that are next to the building and you can put them on yourself after you get the ice cream which is nice. However, last night we ordered 2 size small homemade flavors and one regular small cone and paid $25. The cost is $7.59 for a regular and $8.59 for the homemade. Not only is that cost enormous but the size in comparison was EXTREMELY small. I wish I had taken a picture. While it tasted delicious and this has been our go to place forever, they have now outpriced themselves and it's not worth it. There are other places around the area that have great ice cream for reasonable prices. I get that prices have gone up, but you can't give me next to nothing and charge top dollar. If you want to charge that much, then you need to give a large scoop.
Tina S — Google review
I visited once off-season and the owner was incredibly kind and friendly, so I had wanted to visit again this summer, but had since become vegan. I was going to accept my vegan-unfriendly fate, when I noticed they had a whole section of diet-sensitive flavors, including a vegan version of my all-time favorite flavor! It tasted awesome and had a super creamy texture; if I hadn't known it was vegan, I would've been none the wiser. Attached pic is a small (which I found to be pretty big for one person, I would've gladly split it) that ran me $8.59, which I would say is reasonable for the quality and quantity of vegan ice cream I got. 10/10, would shop here again (and might actually come back tomorrow, lol)
Holographic H — Google review
There's so many flavors to choose from it's almost dizzying. Alot of fun ideas including the indecisive flavor wheel. However, the flavor that I spun wasn't even on the menu anymore. Instead, I ordered a small Netflix and Chill which was $8.59. I understand it's handmade but that price is outrageous. Not only that, but the ice cream literally only tasted like food coloring, I couldn't finish it. It also had a stringy, gluey texture. Greatly disappointing but perhaps I just didn't pick a great flavor. At this moment, definitely not worth the price, but fun.
Melissa G — Google review
These ice cream flavors are SO tasty. We got booger and maple bacon and OMG were they so delicious! We had ice cream from another spot on the boatdwalk.... but this is the place for sure. Oh and they give samples.... mmmmm.Try it!!

Batu is the best! Super knowledgeable about the flavors and helped my boyfriend and I find something we really enjoyed. Will be back! This ish is off the hook is SO GOOD!

This is our go to ice cream place when we visit Rehoboth Beach. We have been coming here for many years now and this place is still the best! They have a LOT of flavors to choose from. Each flavor is very interesting and unique. The staff is very friendly and patient as we try a few flavors to help us arrive at our decision. The ice creams are flavorful and well churned! Definitely a must stop when in Rehoboth Beach.
Vishal S — Google review
Many flavors to choose from. Tonight (Wednesday), we got a Medium cereal killer (your pick of cereal on top of ice cream with fruity pebbles on key lime pie ice cream, and a Small Green Mint Chip w/ cookie dough and Oreo. Both were delicious and approved by hubby, myself, and our 17 month old. Total came up just shy of $14, reasonable for boardwalk prices. Highly recommended when you’re in the area.

Pizza restaurant
If you find yourself near Rehoboth Beach, Grotto Pizza is a must-visit destination for pizza lovers and families alike. This beloved pizzeria and sports bar chain has been delighting patrons since 1960, boasting over 20 locations across Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Known for its inviting atmosphere, Grotto Pizza offers a diverse menu that features both classic Italian dishes and unique specialty pizzas.
This place has some bad ass food some of the best beach food around. We love the pizza and fries. The beach fries r always hot and crispy. My sister loves the pizza as well as my parents. I love the spaghetti and meatballs. Definitely gotta sit in a booth and if they don’t give u a booth scream and fall on the floor kicking and screaming like a toddler till a booth opens up and then sit down and calmly eat lol. The lemonade here is really good as well. Definitely gonna keep visiting here one of our must do stops when at rehoboth beach.

What an amazing place! I came here with my family of five, and we were all hungry and ready to eat. Every single dish we ordered was outstanding—beyond expectations. The food was five stars, truly worth it, and the prices were perfect. We tried pizza, burgers, and more, and everything was excellent. The pizza had that real New York style flavor The burgers were just as great, and everyone at our table ordered something different and loved it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food at a fair price.

The outside seating area was extremely well kept. The tables were clean, no trash on the ground, and the tables weren’t too close together. There were no bugs in sight even though we ate outside. Our server knew his stuff and helped us have an amazing experience. Everything was amazing, the cheese pull on the Mozzarella sticks , the fries, and the atmosphere. Definitely will visit again!
Kileigh K — Google review
We’ve eaten here hundreds of times over the years. The food is always delicious, and comes out piping hot. The service is usually very good. Occasionally we get a server that hasn’t been properly trained and doesn’t know to double back to the table a couple of minutes after you drop the food off to see how it is and if the customer needs anything. This particular location (not sure about the others) has an outdoor patio where dogs are always welcome. They always have 2 big bowls set out front of the hostess station…a water bowl and one filled with milk bones for the puppers. And often the servers will bring milk bones to the table for your pets. They have individual pet water bowls upon request although they also often bring these out as soon as they notice your sweet fur babies. The ambiance is awesome outside. Very nice tables, some of which are under their trellis and have ceiling fans above while others are in the back and each has an umbrella. The inside tables all have the ability to watch whatever is on the big screens that day. Sometimes there’s a wait but usually not more than 15-20 min and it goes by quick. This location is right on Rehoboth Ave quite close to the boardwalk so you can usually hear whatever band is playing the bandstand that night if you’re seated outside. The service we had tonight was top notch. I can’t remember the guys name but he’s pictured in the photos. The only reason I gave 4 stars is bc we do eat here so often and find that a lot of times it’s 4 star service.

I've been eating at Grottos for at least 2 decades and today was the worst service experience I've ever had. I'm not sure what happened with our waitress, but we were seated and then ignored as 4 other tables seated after us were served drinks and appetizers. Once we flagged down another server for water (it's a real feel of 104 degrees today) we got quick service and a comped meal. It won't stop me from coming back when I'm in town, but this was truly bizarre, making me wonder if maybe the server had something against us personally.
Lisa Y — Google review
Typical grotto pizza. I used the order to go side because it was extremely busy. Food quality was good. Price was fair. Go figure for a vacation location. Very busy area on a Saturday parking is near impossible.
Pauly P — Google review
Its a shame they have such a great building with a nice view, because everything else is not up to par. Drinks not made right, pizza was served cold, our waiter was barely serving us the entire time. Our table when we got there was dirty. Was told we would have one waiter then was served by the waiter that told us we'd be served by another. Very sloppy and disorganized. Preys on tourists and super pricey for what it is. Better off walking around eating fries in a bag from the place across the street.
Bmth4113ay — Google review
Pizza and sandwiches are good. Lots of food, especially if your wallet needs a break from other food options at the boardwalk. Grottos pizza is a little bit different than standard pizza shops, but in a good way. You got to try it for yourself!

Bar & grill
Restaurant
The Starboard in Dewey Beach is a well-established bar and restaurant that is famous for its Bloody Mary smorgasbord and generous servings of beach fries. This popular spot offers ample outdoor seating in a relaxed beach town atmosphere, making it an ideal place to enjoy brunch or dinner. The extensive menu caters to various tastes, complemented by a full bar offering. It's worth noting that dogs are welcome in the outdoor dining area during specific hours.
The Starboard isn’t just a restaurant, a bar, or a nightclub—it's a way of life. If you’re spending time in Dewey Beach, a portion of your day is bound to include a visit to The Starboard. Whether it’s enjoying a delicious breakfast with a drink from their epic Bloody Mary bar, day drinking and vibing to live music on their deck, or dancing the night away to some of the best DJs around, there’s always something going on. They host some major events throughout the year, like Opening Weekend during St. Paddy’s Day, the Running of the Bull, and Dewey Goes Pink—something for everyone to enjoy. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention their amazing staff. Year after year, they hire the most hardworking and friendly team. The fun and energy you experience at The Starboard are all thanks to them. As for the food, it’s top-notch. Whether you are looking for an omelette for breakfast or some chicken tenders to get you through the afternoon, everything on their menu is great!. And if you’re wondering about the drinks? They absolutely make some of the best in town. No need to order a “double” of anything. Just make sure you take care of your bartenders and they will take care of you. Plus, if you want to dance your night away, this is the place to be. The bands and DJs that play here are the best! Highly recommend!

When I first walked in, I noticed that the place was almost full, and my family was lucky enough to get one of the very few remaining tables. The food took a ground breaking 40 minutes to arrive, but not unseen with so many tables taken. The food? Pretty good. Some fries had no seasoning and some had way too much. But the burger was great! Good balance, big juicy patty, and (I don’t know if it was lick or skill but,) the patty was a near perfect medium rare. 5 hours before eating here, me and my family were looking for a bus stop and a lady there not only went out of her way to help us find the bus stop, but rejected the tip we wanted to give her, so in return, the least I could do was go here and write this review. So if you are reading this review, Thank you for everything.
Mai5en — Google review
We had a wonderful experience here! The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient from start to finish. Our server went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place for brunch.

There are 3 things that make a restaurant visit memorable: 1. Service 2. Food 3. Atmosphere. The first thing that may make or break your visit is the service. Are they appreciative of you patronizing their establishment and give you a warm greeting, or are they disinterested and could care less if you're there or not. We arrived only to be meet with indifference and a sour attitude. The hostess that seated us walked so fast to the table that we lost sight of her. Once we caught up, she set the menus on the table and hurriedly walked out without saying a thing. Let me backtrack and say that she was having a conversation with 2 other hostesses at the outside entrance to the restaurant and seemed upset that we were an inconvenience to her, interrupting her conversation with them. Once inside we decided that the music was way too loud for 8 am and then decided to go back to this hostess stand and get a table outside. We were carrying the menus and silverware with us. Once outside this hostess was not happy with us coming back and proceeded to dig out another menu. My girlfriend said that we had menus and the hostess snipped back and said I know that. Really?? I will not stay at any restaurant that doesn't appreciate my patronize and ridicules me. Management, you need to train your employees to do their job rather than stand around and talk among themselves. I have been here a couple of times in the past and have to say the food is good, but after this experience I won't be back. And you know what? They couldn't care less. We left and went to another restaurant that did appreciate us being there.
Brian — Google review
The band playing was awesome and the vibes were cool. However, there was one specific bouncer who threatened to kick out a sober friend for dancing and he was stalking our entire group the whole night. He kept bringing our friend waters and trying to force her to drink them and cursed her out when she refused. Why would she take any beverage from a stranger? Overall a cool bar but he kind of ruined our experience.

Update: 3 stars. Giving an update to my last review. We tried out the starboard for dinner and drinks only this time around. Food was great, I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. They have patio seating with fans which was nice. Service was great and drinks reasonably priced. Didn’t go back for the night life due to the poor experience last time i was in town, but it’s definitely not too bad for dinner or lunch if in the area. Initial: 1 star. Came here for a fun Saturday night but was met with disappointment. Spilled drinks all over the floor. No live music just track music playing. Can be compared to bad frat house. This bar really missed the mark for me, i would definitely pass. They need to up their game.we stayed a total of 10 minutes, not even long enough to finish our drinks.
Alex P — Google review
On a Sunday morning it was pretty loud and a lot people drinking. This is definitely not a place for kids.I took my daughter with me and she was even complaining about how loud the music was, couldn’t even hear anything and she was sitting right beside me. Now Elvis was singing so if my daughter was wining the whole time and maybe an adult only breakfast, I would if definitely enjoyed a lot more. Besides that it was excellent. Food was great and waitress was wonderful.

Louie's Pizza is a long-standing, family-owned pizzeria known for its grinders, subs, and cheesesteaks. The restaurant has a rich history, with Greek immigrant Lazaros "Louie" Gouvas initially unfamiliar with pizza-making before establishing the eatery. Located just a few doors down from Louie's Pizza are iconic establishments such as Dolles, renowned for its salt water taffy and popcorn.
20MAY2025 The best service is what I experienced at Louie’s Pizza in Rehobeth Beach, DE. The pizza was the best as the crust, sauce, meat, and cheese where in superb harmony and sooth my taste buds and stomach I the most captivating way. I’ll be back when I’m in town. Love, love, love this spot.
Spiral T — Google review
Went to Louie’s on Tuesday, July 22 at 5:30pm. Got a table for four in their small indoor dining area which is air conditioned (see picture). There were a number available tables at that time. It got quite busy within 15 minutes after we arrived. Sabrina was our server and took our order very quickly. We ordered one large pizza (see pic of half the pizza… the slices were gone before I could snap the shot) and two cheese steak grinders. Kids said the grinders were very good. As for the pizza… is it New York style… no, is it Chicago deep dish… no, is it Rehoboth traditional beach pizza with a nice crispy outer crust, YES!! We love Louie’s pizza and it is very nostalgic for those who have been coming here for years. Oh, I’ll be back again soon!
Marlo Z — Google review
I just don’t understand the hype, or the high rating for that matter. Ordered a regular plain cheese slice last night on the boardwalk for $4.50 (yes $0.75 more per slice than Grotto’s) and I was the only one there. A wrong number was called out, no one came up, then my number shortly after… it was a few teenagers running the takeout section so… yeah. As you can see from the photo, there is not a drop of tomato sauce on the entire slice; therefore, it tasted near flavorless. Got some garlic and grease in my mouth, then I had to walk across the street to Grotto’s and get their slice of cheese to satisfy my pizza craving. At least it was cheaper. Yep, $4.50 flushed down the toilet. If you’re looking for a great NY-style cheese slice in Rehoboth you won’t find it on the Boardwalk. Maybe in a few years? This was my second visit, as the first time I tried a slice from Louie’s it was similarly bland. I wanted to give it a second chance due to the high rating (?) and because the place was very busy when I went back in June. Louie’s is mediocre at best.

I heard a lot of people say this is the best pizza on board walk If that’s true, the bar isn’t high. The pizza isn’t bad, not nothing exciting
Brandon R — Google review
Came here for the first time yesterday. Ordered a pizza and a grinder sandwich. I'm not from the area so I didn't know that grinder meant chopped unseasoned burger meat with lettuce, tomatoes and a slice of cheese thrown on top and thrown into the oven. Which means the veggies were soggy and warm. So I told them I didn't like soggy veggies I thought they'd be raw and fresh. They took the sandwich back but still wanted me to pay for it. Once I said I will pay for it if I have the sandwich and I would just give it away to someone. They said "we already threw it out" but insisted on me paying for it. I ended up not paying for it because I knew I shouldn't have especially since they didn't offer to fix the first issue. Would never come back , not because the food isn't great but the service is horrible.
Jessica M — Google review
We are Texans traveling around the east coast testing east coast pizza. This is a relatively small pizza place with some interesting nostalgia and it practically sits on the boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach, DE. It was May 2025, with the wind blowing off the Atlantic at 35 MPH and the temperature was 57 degrees outside. It was warm inside and not very crowded just before Memorial Day weekend. The pizza and service were very good. And not too overly priced for a place that close to the ocean and on the boardwalk.
Admin N — Google review
Every time we visit Rehobeth Beach, we come here. Honestly, it's not the best pizza you will have, but it's definitely not the worst. Wait, times are a little outrageous, but I would say that it is worth the wait. When you come, you should order either a pizza or a sub because both of those are pretty good here. Overall, this place is good, and I would recommend it if you are in Rehobeth.
Alex A — Google review
The meatball sub at Louie’s Pizza is a flavor-packed delight. The soft bread perfectly complements the tender meatballs and exquisite sauce. This isn't your ordinary meatball sub; the meat is thinly sliced, adding a unique touch. Don't miss the opportunity to try their delectable fries as well. Trust me, leaving without a side of fries would be a regrettable decision.

Restaurant
Semra's Mediterranean Grill is a spacious Turkish eatery that offers a wide array of traditional Mediterranean dishes, such as gyros and mezze platters. Despite being relatively unknown to many, this restaurant has been serving its flavorful cuisine for decades. Located in Rehoboth, the dining room can be easily overlooked due to the abundance of signs and hustle and bustle on the street.
Very welcoming restaurant. I felt right at home. Wonderful people. Semra the owner is such a nice lady. The food was delicious. I had chicken gyro cheese steak wrap with greek salad, Baklava, and Turkish coffee. Loved everything specially the coffee and had a little fortune telling with it too😁 Highly recommend it.
Sahar K — Google review
This is how our to go food looked like. Completely disappointed. The worst Mediterranean food ever. Chicken gyro was dry and salty. Chicken kabab platter had only 5 peices of chicken which was dry. Not worth $25 for these platters. Falafal was not cooked. Overall a very bad place to have food on a vacation because it spoils mood if you are very hungry.
Veena G — Google review
TASTE (8/10): I had the lamb-beef gyro menu. You know how beach town food is usually a disaster? This one defied the stereotype. The meat was good, not mind-blowing, but solid. The rice and veggies on the side were way better compared to other restaurants. And the ayran was just right. PRICE (7/10): Maybe a tiny bit above average, but nothing to cry about. Fair for what you get. ATTITUDE (9/10): Staff were chatty, kind, and knew how to engage with customers. Definitely a plus. PLACE (8/10): Nicely decorated, cozy, and spacious enough for big families. Great for both ambiance and comfort. CLEANLINESS (8/10): Clean and well-maintained. No unpleasant surprises. ADDITIONAL FEES/HIDDEN COSTS (7/10): No sneaky charges lurking in the shadows. However the default tip starts with 18%. OVERALL IMPRESSION: A Turkish spot with charm, flavor, and personality. I’d absolutely eat there again if I’m in the area. Chance of returning: 90%

Semra's is a restaurant we go to every time we're at Rehoboth beach. It's right on the boardwalk and several steps above in quality compared to most of the food to be found on the boardwalk. It's nice to get out of the sun and into air conditioning and have access to a bathroom as well. The food is as high quality as ever- delicious and varied. However, their AC didn't seem to be functioning so well last week- it was extremely hot and a bit hard to enjoy our meals in that heat. Also, the prices seem to have gone WAY up from the last time we attended 2 years ago. I do understand that Covid forced up prices, but $20 sandwiches seemed pretty high to us. We'll still return, but just be aware that this is no longer a cost-effective food option.
Angela D — Google review
We enjoyed our lunch at Semra’s today. First time here and won’t be our last! I got the kofte kabob wrap with salad and my husband got the chicken shawarma wrap with fries. We both cleaned our plates. Their margaritas were EXCELLENT as well. Mediterranean food is always going to be pricier than other restaurants because you are getting lots of fresh produce and high quality meat, so the pricing was exactly what we were expecting to pay. The food was great! If you are looking for something different to try, this is the place! We got iskender and kofte, baklava and turkish coffee. The food was very good has a lot of flavor, i loved the sauce and I mixed it with the yogurt sauce. Must try ya’ll. And the staff is super friendly and attentive!! 10/10 çok teşekkürler 🙏🏻

First, I appreciate that this restaurant accepts reservations. That made it so much nicer for our larger party (with kids) to eat out. The service at this restaurant is friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. The food was delicious too! I got the shawarma entree with gyro meat and it was very tasty and a good portion. I also enjoyed their sangria made with a red wine and fruit and not too sweet.

We were three couples with kids and We absolutely loved everything about this Turkish restaurant – from the warm, welcoming service to the delicious food and cozy atmosphere. Every dish was full of authentic flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive, making the entire experience feel like a true taste of Turkish hospitality. The ambiance is charming and inviting – perfect for a relaxing dinner or a special night out. Whether you’re familiar with Turkish cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Nestled just a block away on Rehoboth Avenue, Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge is a delightful haven for anyone with a sweet tooth. The moment you step inside, the enticing aroma of candy-coated apples and rich maple walnut fudge envelops you, making it nearly impossible to resist indulging in their offerings.
Some of the best fudge I’ve ever had. Melts in your mouth kinda fudge. Ice cream, chocolate, and other delightful treats can be found here. Ladies that work here are very nice too.

I see the owner responded and I completely appreciate his response. Most of the shopkeepers when you went into the businesses were very quick to say welcome let me know if I can help you with anything. So it was very disconcerting with so many people there and me looking at almost everything candy ice cream Cakes but no one said anything. I hope that changes. Just went in to check the Kilwins out. Two people were making fudge and several ladies were in the back I was there for more than enough amount of time and no one even came out to ask if they could help. No one else was in the store no other customer. as I went out I told the guys making fudge I guess you don't want customers. This was my mother's favorite ice cream store and we're here this weekend celebrating what would've been her 83rd birthday.
James B — Google review
as much as we love chocolate, we made a beeline past all the fudge candied apples, turtles, and nut barks to the ice cream at the rear. We were coming from the beach and very hot and needed ice cream to cool off. The ice cream was superb and the serving was very generous. There are one or two unusual flavors here to choose from. Not this is in the busy Rehoboth Beach Maine shopping district but we know there are branches in other locations around the country.
Russ J — Google review
The staff here is very friendly. We stopped for ice cream and a few people in our group got a variety of fudge. Definitely the place to stop if you are thinking of getting ice cream while in Rehobeth.

Stood at the chocolate counter for at least 15 minutes while ice cream customers who arrived after me were served before me. Finally stood in the ice cream line to get service.

Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard is a well-established chain known for its frozen treats such as shakes, sundaes, and malts. It offers a variety of flavors including vanilla and chocolate swirl, peanut butter swirled with vanilla, and cinnamon/pumpkin (available only in the fall). The shop is conveniently located just off the boardwalk, making it easily accessible from the beach.
Who doesn't enjoy a tasty treat. Kohr Brothers definitely serves delicious options. I am one who likes vanilla and chocolate swirl, usually in a cup, although this time I went with a cone. Hubby and daughter each had the peabutbutter swirled with vanilla and they really liked theirs as well.
Yvonne — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Delicious Custard, Slightly Crooked Experience Kohr Bros Frozen Custard is always a delicious treat, especially the peanut butter and chocolate swirl—creamy, rich, and totally worth the calories. But let’s talk about that cone… Mine looked like the Leaning Tower of Pisa in dairy form. Tasty? Absolutely. Structurally sound? Questionable. A little extra training for the staff on cone construction wouldn’t hurt. Also, the size difference between a small and medium? Practically invisible. Might just be the most subtle upsell in frozen custard history. Still, the custard is king, and I’ll definitely be back—maybe just with a level and a tape measure next time.
Scott A — Google review
Great frozen custard! The chocolate peanut butter combo is just fantastic! Getting sprinkles is also a must. Located just off the boardwalk, it's easy to make a quick trip from the beach. It's easy to understand why Kohr's custard is a Rehoboth tradition.

Double Dippers is a great place to go for delicious ice cream in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The atmosphere is casual and the prices are affordable, without sacrificing the quality of the food. Most patrons dress casually, and bikers and walkers share the sidewalk. The lemonade here is amazing - fresh and tart with a sweet aftertaste - and it's a favorite order of President Joe Mack.
Went here a few minutes before closing yet the staff was so pleasant and kind. Tried the mint moose tracks, peanut butter twist, and dark chocolate raspberry truffle flavors and all lived up to expectations. Great spot for a tasty treat !!!

Great little place for ice cream if you want LOCAL TOWN flavor and friendly service. Neither the staff nor the ice cream ever disappoints. Definitely the best ice cream in town! We love love love this place. It’s on our list every time we’re in town. Because the ice cream is so good, there is sometimes a decent line waiting to be served but the line moves fast. Also, the previous owner had a beautiful mural painted on the interior wall that kids will love. Next time I’m there I’ll take a video of it. The whole place is just painted friendly. They have a handful of tables and chairs inside and Rehoboth Beach (the town) has a few huge white benches out front that you can also sit and enjoy your sweet treat. And of course they serve Hershey’s ice cream products there, offering both hand dipped and soft serve as well as milk shakes and banana splits and a host of other things. Cups, cake cones, waffle cones of various sorts. It’s definitely not something you want to miss out on while in town. It’s located just one block off the beaten path of Rehoboth Ave.

Sweet Charlie's is a popular ice cream parlor situated on Wilmington Avenue in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It has been a family-owned establishment for nearly three decades. With an array of homemade flavors that boast quirky names such as 'NETFLIX & Chill' and 'Chocolate Dont Give a Fork,' Sweet Charlie's offers more than 100 options to satisfy your sweet tooth.
This was an amazing experience the guy working was super nice and they make it right in front of you. The ice cream is so good and the thing is that it’s healthy too. I have no complaints i would totally come back tomorrow if I could lol! Overall great place to get ice cream.
Brynna V — Google review
The ice cream, ingredients, and toppings were fresh, but the man working was absolutely rude and condescending. He initially explained the process of how the ice cream rolls are made, and when we asked about how the toppings and mix-ins worked, he was very snippy and kept telling us “later.” When it came time for the toppings, we tried to get strawberries, bananas, almonds, and chocolate sauce on one of our cups and that’s when he said “only three toppings.” It was great the shop is open in the off season (April), but I can’t even imagine how this shop would treat the tourists during the summer. We seemed to have been their first customers of the day too, so you’d think they’d be appreciative of our business.

So good! These chocolate-covered strawberries from Sweet Charlie’s are seriously addicting. The strawberries are super fresh and the warm, rich chocolate is perfection. We ended up going back three times during our vacation. 🍓🍫❤️

If you have any sort of allergy, Sweet Charlie’s is the place to go! They have gluten-free, dairy free, vegan and even more options! My 10 month old daughter has a severe dairy allergy, and they accommodated her terrifically. They thoroughly disinfected all the materials, assured that it was known with all staff, and were so kind and genuinely happy to be there. This was her first time trying ice cream and it was such an awesome experience from start to finish!

We went here for the first time Thursday night and were very impressed!!! The Dubai chocolate strawberries are unreal. Definitely worth the price because the ingredients are so high quality. My husband and I shared one order. It was honestly so good we can’t stop telling everyone about it. There was a young girl working there who was also super knowledgeable and friendly and quick. Wish I got her name for the review, she was on the register.
Abigail F — Google review
My son wanted to try the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries. We went on a Sunday and they were supposed to open at 12 o’clock. We sat and waited and at 11:59 is when two workers showed up to open the shop. I told my son we would give them a few minutes so that they could get things ready and at 12:10 we walked into the shop. The guy behind the counter didn’t even acknowledge us and just kept cleaning everything and didn’t take our order. After another five minutes, he finally asked us what we wanted, and we told him the Dubai chocolate covered strawberries. He told me I had to wait, and once the second man walked back inside the store he explained to him what we wanted. The second man then proceeded to tell us that the chocolate wouldn’t be ready for two hours and we would need to come back. We were getting ready to leave vacation and drive five hours home so I didn’t wanna wait another two hours. Seeing as how this is a business and operate selling specific items, I don’t see how it’s feasible to open. Your door is literally one minute before you open time and not even have the things that are on your menu ready to go. To tell someone they’d have to come back in two hours to get an item rather than have it ready for them is ridiculous. As much as I would love to try this when I go back down again on vacation I don’t think I’ll be stopping at the store.
Amanda H — Google review
I went to the sweet Charlie’s tonight off Rehoboth avenue at the request of my 12 year old son and his friend, specifically to get the Dubai chocolate. I ordered one for them to share as well as an ice cream for my two year old who was tired and a bit fussy. I told the cashier they were sharing and asked for an extra cup, which she promptly handed me. I didn’t realize how large my two year olds ice cream would be, so I asked them for a second extra cup. The girl turned to a bearded man with a heavy accent who appeared to have some authority, and asked if it was ok to give me one. He turned around angrily and said, “What’s the problem?” When I asked again for an extra cup for the ice cream, he said, “ you have one in your hand why you need another one?” I explained the first cup was for the $18 Dubai chocolate I just purchased. He said, “we charge $1 for cups! Do you really need another one?” I ended up just using the boys extra cup to dole out a small manageable scoop of ice cream for my daughter and walked out. I have never experienced such blatant rudeness from a business owner. Another woman stopped me on my way out and said, “I heard how he treated you, I’m so sorry he was not kind.” After I told my husband, he promptly went in and was given an extra cup (without any question) as well as the bottle of water that they forgot to give me. I am not sure if it was a sexist thing or not, however I would not recommend spending a penny there. Also- the Dubai chocolate tasted cheap- not worth $18 at all. I ended up throwing the ice cream away because the experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Went at night about half an hour before close. Staff was not friendly, no hello, no smile, etc. Store does not have scanners for redeeming or earning reward points, even though the screens on the registers advertise the app. 3 stars because the place appeared clean and the blizzard was very good. The guy who made it did turn it upside down before handing it to me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Store does NOT honor online orders. Placed an order at 8:41pm on 5/25 via the DQ app. Said it would be ready by 8:53pm (they close at 9pm). Walked in at 8:53pm, asked for the order, they said it'll be about 5 minutes. Asked again in 5 minutes, they then said you'll have to wait until all the people in line have their orders fulfilled. Ultimately waited til about 9:15pm before I left as people were still walking in and able to order. Still checked my phone at 9:48pm to see if the order was ever fulfilled, to which it still wasn't ready. Called the store location today after contacting DQ International via email. They said to process a refund you must contact the store directly. Called the store 10x with no response, and no ability to leave a voice-mail. Currently now going through the bank to issue a charge back. Honestly considering legal action anyways even though it's only $11.60. It's not about the money, it's about the principle. If you want ice cream, go across the street, there's 3 locations on Rehoboth Ave that will actually run a real business. UPDATE: see third photo for the hyperlink that DQ sends in response to this feedback
Ryan D — Google review
Smaller menu than most. Unfriendly staff. Dirty/broken bathrooms. Do not accept app for points or redeeming. Blizzard was melty, if staff had attempted to do the flip, it would have spilled right out. It's a wonder they don't have their franchise ripped away. So yourself a favor, go to the Lewes DQ instead.

At the first time I came here I ordered ice mocha, I got a dirty cup. I came back and asking for changing the cup. They just ask me what i am talking about while they wiping to remove the dirty stuff out of my cup. That day I didn't change the cup because they show that the cup is clean. This day I came here again, I said to staff that "I want a Ice Mocha no sugar, no swee" but he give me something with ice cream. Too sweet. I think they dont understand what I ordered and made me feel upset now.

Mug & Spoon is a charming cafe located on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach, DE. They offer an array of craft coffee and tea drinks as well as extravagant milkshakes that are topped with indulgent treats like cake, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and even cotton candy. The cafe sources its coffee from Brandywine Coffee Roasters in Wilmington. In addition to their delightful beverages, Mug & Spoon also serves apple fritters, muffins, and various coffee drinks.
I took the family to try out these amazing milkshakes ! They are pricey but large enough to share-they do not disappoint! Very very tasty, the kids and adults loved them! Probably not an every day indulgence much more of a special occasion treat but absolutely wonderful and worth the price if you share it.

Great atmosphere, and really great ice cream, A homemade ran from Woodside Farm Creamery. I tried the mint-Oreo, dark chocolate coffee, and vanilla. Rich and creamy. The portion size is too small, it leaves you wanting more. I’m looking forward to next time trying an espresso and ice cream shake. And when you walk in look up and you’ll see something very interesting.

Delicious and cute little coffee shop only steps from the beach and boardwalk. It was very quaint and nice to sit and relax with our coffee after sitting on the beach for hours. It was decorated really nice and most importantly, the coffee was really good. They had a whole ice cream and milkshake menu (with vegan I've cream), which looked good, but we never had the chance to go back and try
Alexis S — Google review
I was lucky enough to get one of the parking spaces right in front of the store. Because I travel with my 2 little dogs, parking location is important. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to stop here and get one of the fancy milkshakes. To my disappointment, some of the milkshakes I saw online are no longer available. I went with the Cake Ocean with Strawberry milkshake. I didn't know the milkshake was mixed with color sprinkles. If you don't like color sprinkles, you might want to mention it to them. I got it to go so that I can eat it in the car. The young lady there was so nice. She put the waffle and red velvet cake in a separate container and the strawberry milkshake blended with color sprinkles and topped with whipped cream, more color sprinkles and fudge. It was good... A bit much for me to consume in one seating. The presentation is creative; otherwise, it is just 2 dessert in one. I didn't get a copy of the receipt, and no idea how much I paid. I really wanted to try it, and was excited that I finally got to try it and didn't think to ask. When I told the young lady that my dogs are in the car, she said that I could bring them into the coffee shop. I'm not sure if this shop is always dogfriendly, or just off season. I will probably come back again and try something different.

Love this place! Great coffee shop, atmosphere and place to hang out. As soon as you walk in, the upside-down room in the ceiling is a conversation piece. Their affogato is AMAZING!! Fun place. Creative ice cream sundaes on the boardwalk in Rehoboth beach. If you can't decide if you want cake or ice cream then order the cake at the beach and get the milkshake, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, chocolate cake and sprinkles. Yes that is real cotton candy on top of the other milkshake. It is a little pricey at 15.00, but it is original and one is enough for 2 or 3 people to share. They have apple fritters, muffins and lots of coffee drinks.

The Mug & Spoon is a great place to stop for ice cream. We were on vacation in the area and this place was recommended to us but we weren't able to find time to stop by until our last day of vacation. We went in the morning of our last day at the beach and were pleasantly surprised to find that they do indeed serve their massive treats bright and early! If you're coming for the ice cream don't come alone, you'll need a second stomach!
