I had a brilliant cone of the Snickers gelato — so creamy and packed with flavour.
The whole space is super clean, beautifully organised, and much bigger than I expected, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
My friend mentioned it’s usually packed, but we got lucky visiting later in the evening and skipped the line. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Such a good ice cream shop with a crazy amount of flavours and massive outdoor area to sit in. Friendly staff and you are able to taste flavours before buying. I went for the banana choc + snickers. 40k for a cone/small cup which is slightly higher than average price. Recommend a stop here if you have a sweet tooth like me :)
Already came here twice and I must say the gelato is not too sugary and so creamy. So many variations to choose from which is unique to make me come back wanting to try more flavors. One of the best gelato I have tried so far and the staffs are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about that ice cream pair are the best!
Several flavours are available here!! You must first pay at the counter and bring the reciept to the gelato side to choose your flavours. Small entitles you to 2 flavours which is a great thing and they let you try as well if you have doubts about which flavours to choose from. Delce flavour was abit sweet for me but stolll really good and snickers was top notch
I live in the neighbourhood so I come with my husband few times a month for a long time, but today will be my last visit because I had an extremely unpleasant experience. I ordered the caramel flavor and Hokey Pokey which was my go-to, however the caramel was bitter and tasted burnt. I spoke to a staff who didn’t speak English and she referred me the a seemingly more senior staff that does, and he told me “of course it’s bitter it’s salted caramel”. 1)No, salted caramel should not be bitter 2)It is only listed as caramel 3)It’s not my first caramel gelato in Gusto (or anywhere in this world really) and to have the audacity to say how salted caramel should be bitter is just mind blowing. 4)He didn’t even bother checking the taste himself to confirm whether it was normal and just assumed he knows better.
I will be taking my business elsewhere and I hope the company sees what lack of training and problem solving skills in staff could cost you.
this place sells gelato. the small cup, which you can order up to two different flavors, costs 40k rupiah. you need to pay it first to the cashier, then you give the receipt to the staff who pick the gelato.
they have many flavors of gelato from milk based flavor, chocolate, to the fruit ones. they can give you a sample of the flavor before you decide which one you want to order. personally, i like the dulce di lecce. it uses milk as the base flavor.
what i like about this gelato is that it's not too sweet. it's creamy, and not too watery. they have indoor and outdoor areas to dine in.
Tried Gusto Gelato. So many unique flavors to choose from, and the gelato itself is rich, creamy, and not overly sweet, just right. The place can get busy, but the service is fast and friendly. Great spot to cool down in Bali.

Amazing place! Love how it feels modern but still keeps the traditional Balinese vibe. The Babi Guling Special blew me away—so many flavors in one bite! The Be Genyol was super tasty too. Easy 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We arrived at this place around 11:40am and it was already quite crowded, with a short queue. The staff took our order and payment first before seating us, which helped streamline the process.
Most customers seem to go for the combo set, which includes the restaurant's signature items like crispy pork skin, fried pork belly, and pork liver. However, the portions for each are quite small—just one piece of pork skin, two pieces of pork belly, and one piece of liver, which felt a bit limited.
The sauces were a nice addition. The red chili was mild, while the green chili packed more heat and had a great flavour. The fried long bean with pork was a standout dish for me—flavourful and well-cooked—but some of my friends found it too spicy.
I wasn’t a fan of the fresh coconut water, as they only serve young coconuts here. It lacked the strong coconut flavour I prefer, and tasted slightly sour and unusual to me.
Overall, I can see why this restaurant is popular—the food quality is good, though it didn’t quite blow me away. It’s definitely worth a visit, but it helps to go in with the right expectations.
For authentic Bali food! This is a must try! But try at your own risk! They have flies flying around their displayed food! But none of my friends or myself had any issue.
The food is not bad. It’s worth a try. It’s affordable too! Their chilli can be quite spicy so do get some water in case! Don’t get ice in case got Bali belly!
Finally, I tried this famous Babi Guling Pak Malen. As seven stars Google Reviewer I have visited many Babi Guling Restaurant, and I can confirm the taste was good. Ambience deserve 5 stars, i love the sleek modern and clean design, really elevate the Babi Guling Restaurant level into next level - All Babi Guling resto shall follow this to level up this traditional Balinese cuisine. Room for improvement on service (queue) and order-payment management, to be honest I am not a type of queueing for one plate of meal, so may consider add more cashier.

But their staff not really welcome, we was asked for help to save the yakult first at the fridge coz we want to take it later after food, but their not even willing to help us but not really matters.
And the price quite affordable, so please take your time to try this best local food.
The food was superb! Definitely one of the best babi guling spots in Bali at the moment. I also appreciated how clean the food felt—it made me less worried about getting Bali belly! 🤭

Enak!! this restaurant is recommended by the local driver.
Is quite poplar among the local and foreigner too. I order their signature dishes. Test good, just the portion is a biz small.
Cam and visit on Saturday noon.
Can see there was a long queue outside the shop, the staff will serves what you want first in order to make the order faster, need to make payments first before going inside to find a seat.
Can see they received many recognized certificates here on the wall..
People here usually will leave after finish dishes...not a place for you to stay long here for chitchat..
Authentic Balinese food, a must-try when you're in Bali!
The sambal is really spicy, and the pork is flavorful. The place is clean, but when we visited, it was quite crowded. We sat upstairs, which was a bit hot. I ate and sweated. Still worth it for the taste.

initially, i wasn't sure about the taste. because i had already got experienced, that some famous food was overrated.
especially fish-based food, because i lived in sulawesi and it is famous with their fish-based food
but in this place, surprisingly their foods was good enough

the situation when i ate in this place was enjoyable enough. i don't know why, but maybe because the outside situation was raining when i arrived there. Their serving time was fast enough.

A legend culinary destination in Sanur area. The food is quite nice, the soup is rich of spices yet light. The fried fish was so so.
The portion was just perfect with only a small amount of white rice to let all the food sit nicely in your tummy.
I think it would be much better to take it as dinner instead of lunch, especially in a windy night. The soup will keep you warm after dine.
You have to queue before get the food, most of the time. But, the food definitely worth the wait though.
Mak Beng is still the best spot to try authentic Balinese fish cuisine. I went here with colleagues from abroad and the food didn’t disappoint. The fried fish was tender and juicy, while the soup was a bit salty on its own but perfectly balanced once mixed with rice.
The set menu is only 55k for rice, fried fish, and fish head soup. Super affordable for the quality you get. The flavors are rich but still friendly for anyone not used to strong Balinese spices.
The only drawback is they don’t take reservations. If you’re coming in a group, better have a local friend secure seats in advance, otherwise you’ll likely have to queue when it’s busy.
Warung Mak Beng at Pantai Sanur is an absolute classic! The set menu might be simple — crispy fried fish, fish soup, and sambal — but the flavors are unforgettable. I love the crispy fried fish and the tanginess of the fish broth soup — so refreshing and full of flavor.
The fish tastes super fresh, and everything is seasoned just right. The sambal adds the perfect spicy kick. It’s the kind of meal that feels comforting and satisfying, especially after a walk by the beach.
Service is quick, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is authentic local Bali — nothing fancy, just great food done right.
Tip: Come early if you can; it gets crowded fast and they sell out often.
Food taste okay, the fish is not so fresh but their ebi Chili is top notch. Its super spicy, and pretty hot, i think they could sell their Chili only and make a fortune. The soup is better, but the part of fish meat is considerably a second grade. The best part here is super cheap considering the fish they use and in this location, but for me the time of waiting making not really worthwhile, and even you got your seat, any waiting guest is staring at you and makes you want to finish as soon as possible

In addition to the grilled fish, the soup, which I would call a Balinese bouillabaisse, was very tasty with its fish broth.Japanese people who often eat grilled fish and arabesque soup will like the taste.The fish in the soup had fewer bones than expected and was easy to eat.
My 2nd time here and the food is still really good and as hearty as before. the price is also still as affordable. Hearty fish soup with crispy fish served with sambal goreng tomat, kaffir lime, and rice. I like to add some sweet soybsauce over the sambal as well as having salmon skin crisp as crunchy element. Perfect way to start your day in Sanur!

Crispy fresh lettuce, juicy chicken and great mayo. Even had to get an OG burger and one of the best I’ve had.
55k for a burger or wrap + 24k to make it a meal with chips AND a drink (ice cold) couldn’t get much better - had to come back again for dinner!

Great burgers – but the smoking ruined the vibe
The burgers were really good – juicy, flavourful, and the size was just right. Not too big, not too small. Everything looked clean and the buns were toasted perfectly. I also liked the option to get fries or onion rings, and the Coca-Cola came ice cold. A proper burger bar, the way it should be.
But unfortunately, the experience was kind of spoiled by the location. The restaurant is right next to the main road, and while we were eating, a few people sat down and started smoking – even though there were clear “no smoking” signs everywhere. It seemed like they had permission from the staff, but honestly, sitting halfway indoors while people are smoking just ruins the atmosphere. It felt dirty and wrong, especially when you’re trying to enjoy your food.
If you don’t mind the smell of smoke, this place might be perfect. But if you’re looking for a clean, relaxed vibe, maybe consider takeaway instead. The food is great – the rest just depends on what you’re okay with.
The Chicken Wrap was absolutely delicious and super satisfying!

food here was delicious! bought the mushroom beef burger and the mushrooms were juicy and beef was full of flavour! also bought the avocado wrap and it was delightful! didn’t even feel like we were eating veggies 😂 the crispy mushrooms were not disappointing! the cashier and server sri was very kind! spoke to us and recommended what was nice. overall very pleasant visit would come and dine again! mkasih mbak sri!

Lake in the middle is surrounded by little huts, which are individual tables. Definitely worth a relaxing dinner experience.
Came to Segara Bambu with friends for a seafood dinner, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The food truly delivered — everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and cooked beautifully. One small note: the grilled clam was good, but if they could go a little lighter on the sambal on top of it, it would let the natural sweetness of the clams shine even more.
The real standout of the night, though, was their vegetable dishes — absolutely stellar! Every vegetable plate we tried was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, stealing the show from the seafood (which says a lot).
Service was also top-notch: warm, attentive, and professional throughout the evening.
Definitely planning to come back!

Came to Segara bamboo for dinner on our first night in Bali. Segara bambu did not disappoint at all. All the dishes we ordered were extremely flavourful and well balanced. Highly recommend the Singapore crabs and salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper fish. The scallops we found slightly overcooked and the cha japchae was not really to our liking, however everything else tasted amazing including the fried fish, baked lobsters and sambal prawns. Customer service was very efficient and food prices very affordable. Definitely recommend Segara bambu if you are craving Chinese food in Bali.

Perfect place for family and friends. Cozy and natural place with great ambience and traditional atmosphere. Back to nature with a lots of place to take a pic. I think this is one of get a way place from crowd. Tasting the food deliciously great. Will be back soon.

I’ve been here a couple of times. Great value for the money, and you can try a variety of tasty local dishes. That said, it feels a bit overhyped. You can get the same quality and flavors at many other warungs that feel more authentic. The hype has made it a bit more westernized, so it’s lost some of that local charm.
Local place serving yummy Indonesian food. The staff are the sweetest! The athmosphere is great in the evening. Nasi Goreng was so delicious! Also, they have plenty of space inside and outside! Happened to listen to the live music they had on Tuesday as well x
I’ve been to here twice. First time I ordered WAYAN. It’s a vegetarian meal I think. I like eggplant spicy one.
Second time I ordered vegan Nasi goreng. I was a bit disappointed, cuz vegan and non vegan nasi goreng are same price 😅

Had an amazing experience here at Warung Local. Food was delicious and the service was amazing, a bit more of a westernised style with a good mix of local as well. Our server was Yudha and he was super friendly and nice, helped us with everything and made sure we were sorted out. Definitely recommended if you want some good Indonesian food at a great price point

Service was great, attentive without being over bearing.
Took a while to get some help with a vegetarian order, however once done the meal was well liked. The gnocchi was nice. The fish and chips was tiny & quite dry.
We shared the brownie with ice cream. No one finsihed the brownie as it was closer to a cake than a brownie (am sure everyone has their own ipinion of what a brownie should be like ), and the ice cream was icy.
So we would recommend the pastas, certianly not the fish or brownie.
Been to Sisterfields twice and both times I was greeted by the very enthusiastic, warm and friendly staff who's service was definitely noteworthy. While their food and drinks were good I did find it to be overpriced especially just their regular bottled water. I highly recommend their breakfast sandwich and gnocchi though as they are very delicious despite their small portion. As for their baked goods selection; I personally did not enjoy their banana bread though it did look appetising. The outdoor seating is beautiful but my recent visit I sat inside by the window and was bothered by many flies, though this can't be helped as I was close to the door it was an irritation nonetheless.
Weekday lunch: crowded with no wait time
Warmly greeted when we entered. Place has lots of natural sunlight and chill vibes. Air-conditioned.
Short ribs rigatoni: a bit too dry for my liking. There weren't a lot of meat in the pasta. I liked that the pasta was a bit tangy to offset the rich taste of the short ribs in tomato. Would prefer the portion to be a little bigger as I was still hungry after.
Pulled pork charcoal roll: pork was tender. Goes well together with the slaw. Charcoal roll was soft and fluffy. Comes with fries. Simple yet satisfying
Truffle scrambled eggs: can't go wrong with scrambled eggs on toast. Crispy potato bits on top complements the toast with a nice crunch. Flowers on top were visually pleasing. Truffle oil totally alleviated it.
Service was average. Crew wasn't the most attentive but overall it was a pleasant experience.

The staff were very warm and welcoming. We ordered veggie pasta, chocolate shake and a dessert strawberry rose. Everything was tasty. The portion size for the pasta was small though. The cafe is on the expensive side.

I had lunch at Massimo Pizzeria in Sanur and tried their Diavola pizza. it was genuinely very good, with a nice balance of spice and flavor. I’d rate it 8/10 for taste. The crust was light and crispy, and the ingredients tasted fresh.
Service was a bit on the slow side, especially considering the place was kinda empty, but the staff were friendly and polite once they came around.
Prices are very reasonable for the quality, definitely one of the better value options in Sanur if you’re craving proper Italian pizza.
Overall, a solid spot for pizza lovers, worth a visit, especially if you’re not in a rush. 🍕🇮🇹

Stopped by Massimo’s in the afternoon for ice cream and were impressed by the amaretto & tiramisu flavours — creamy, rich, and full of flavour. Note that you pre-order and pay at the register before collecting your ice cream, which keeps things flowing smoothly despite the crowds.
Later in the evening, we returned for dinner with a booking. The experience began with complimentary dough balls, which were a nice touch. We shared the Chef’s Selection for our entrée — a generous variety of deli items that paired well together.
For mains, we opted for a pizza. The base was beautifully crisp and the flavours worked well, though we found the burrata cheese on top a little overpowering for the rest of the ingredients.
The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The restaurant itself is very open-air, with plenty of fans but no air-conditioning — something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to the heat.
A pleasant meal and super professional staff. Even a check back part way through eating to see all was well. The food was very good, but; pizza base a little greasy like a pan fry. The topping (vegetarian) was excellent, but the cheese lacked flavour and the tomato base while fully tomato lacked the subtle Italian flavours of garlic and basil. The vegetarian lasagna was nice, but heavy and claggy. Perhaps interleaving some potato would have helped. Garlic bread excellent. Prices fair. Would still recommend.

I’ve been to Massimo Gelato many times, and everyone here always does a great job. But this time, I want to especially appreciate Oca (the lady with glasses) because her character really stands out. There’s a way she carries herself that goes beyond good service. She doesn’t just serve, she does it with love, and when someone works with love, you can feel it.. Oca made the experience unforgettable.
She’s always smiling in a way that feels genuine, not routine. When my brother asked for toppings, she added them with a full smile and playful gesture that made the moment fun. When it was my turn, she carefully asked if I had any allergies and even explained that one of the flavors had alcohol, making sure I was okay with it. That little extra care might seem small, but it showed how much she loves what she does, and because of that, we received it as more than service, we received it as kindness.
These are small details, yet they carry so much weight. Because in that moment, I realized it wasn’t just gelato we received, it was care, attention, and kindness. Everyone at Massimo does a great job, but Oca’s way of serving stands out. She shares an energy that lifts the entire place, reminding us that the simplest gestures can change how a day feels.
I walked out not only with gelato in hand but with a smile that stayed much longer. And that’s why I’ll keep coming back, and bring my friends too, because service done with love is something rare, and Oca makes it shine.

Best gelato with affordable price. Legendary Italian resto in Bali. The foods really good, we tried classic tiramisu and tiramisu panettone, both are good. Pizza was fine and coffee compareable with other coffee shop ;) everytime going to sanur, Massimo is a must!
Massimo Italian Restaurant is an amazing place! The entire vibe and atmosphere instantly transport you straight to Italy. The food is outstanding, and we were very impressed with the quality of the Italian classics like the spaghetti and pizza. Surprisingly, we also tried the Indonesian food and found it to be absolutely the best—a must-try! The experience was made even better by the warm service, especially from Ms. Ayuk, who greeted us with such a polite and lovely smile. Thank you for a truly wonderful day! Our second and last visit. Ms. Ayu Sri was the queen of the place. Disturbing her smile and ensuring with the customer everything is well with them. We are lucky because she was our waitress for today. Thanks for her efforts.

Hands down the best Modern Asian restaurant in Seminyak. Excellent service, attentive and not pushy. Imaginative and creative menu and when food is presented it wows plus it tastes incredible too. Wow what an amazing feast we had today! We had the prawn gyoza, scallop pancakes, beef carpaccio, lobster shrimp pop corn, soft shell crab and tuna on squid ink and sago crisps. Please see the photos below. The photos don’t do the flavours justice! The sauces are paired so perfectly!
The food is extremely reasonable for the exceptional taste! Our bill was only increased because of a bottle of cheapest bubbles which was $75 (fairly normal in Bali).
The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was perfect, and the aircon comfort to die for! My husband and I have our secret love Nobu but this has just become one of our must go to’s!
The food is amazing. It got better dish after dish. Managed to squeeze in without a reservation, the staff was super nice and friendly. Tried a little bit of everything but what stood out was the soft shell crab and the white chocolate fudge cake.

Had 3 smaller dishes as Starters and my favourite was the Fish Cakes, but the Betel Leaf Chicken was excellent as well.
The chicken stir fry was lovely and fragrant and enough spicy heat to enjoy.
Impeccable service and in a wonderful building and great comfortable seats. So glad I was able to make time for lunch amd didnt disappoint

I highly recommend to make a reservation for those who'd like to try because there is always fully occupied especially at the dinner time.

An absolutely stunning venue located in Bali. This restaurant and gallery is maintained and staffed to a very high standard. The quality of food here is unmatched in comparison to other 'fine dining' venues in the area. The grounds are well maintained and it has an overall ambient and relaxed vibe. Must eat if you go to Bali. Very romantic setting. Food is superb. Try a bunch of the appetizers. First time I saw "Lucky Buddha beer" and I had to try it. Comes in a cool looking bottle. Make a reservation. The restaurant is spacious but looks like it fills up pretty quickly. Come during sunset to take photos. But its when the sun goes down and the lights all magically come on is where you see this restaurant truly shine. Wonderful experience. Incredible staff and service too
Beautiful location however a dour atmosphere. The service was poor. The taste of the individual items of the high tea was hit and miss. My coffee was cold. Pastries soft and soggy, sandwiches stale and uninteresting. Really didn't live up to the hype. Expected so much more. A real disappointment. I've had many high teas around the world and this simply has to be one of the worste. I even requested to see the champagne list. Which was produced, but not a single person came to follow up and see if I wanted a glass. Suggest people try elsewhere for a high tea

Myself, boyfriend and parents attended the cooking class at Warung Nia and what a great experience it was - couldn’t recommend enough!
The whole process was so interesting and a lot of fun. The class flowed seamlessly and has definitely been one of the highlights from our Bali trip. Our instructor Made was fantastic at engaging everyone, while informing us about the Balinese dishes we were making.
As a group with mixed cooking abilities, we were all able to get completely stuck in and were guided through the process by the lovely and funny staff, making our experience even better.
We made 9 dishes and it was fantastic to sit down at the end of it and enjoy an absolute feast from the food we made. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious - we couldn’t pick a favourite. We even got a recipe book to take home so we can recreate these fantastic dishes.
10/10 experience - highly recommend to anyone on a trip to Bali.

I ordered the pork satay and fried rice for lunch, and both were absolutely delicious — flavorful, well-cooked, and perfectly seasoned. The service was excellent too. My waitress, Nanda, was very kind, friendly, and easy to talk to, which made the dining experience even better.
The restaurant has an open-air setup, so you might occasionally notice a few flies around, which is pretty normal in this kind of environment. But the food is clean, freshly prepared, and totally worth it. So if you’re sensitive to that kind of setting, it’s best not to judge the place unfairly — because the quality and taste here are genuinely great!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic and tasty local food in a relaxed Bali atmosphere.
Tried Warung Nia for the first time and wow, the pork ribs were so good! Super tender and flavorful. And also the satay, very well seasoned & grilled. The waiter was really nice too, and even though it was super crowded, our food came out really fast. Totally worth it — I’d come back for sure!

Went there a few times during my recent trip. I enjoyed a chilled vibe by the sea. Staff was very pleasant. Food was nice apart from sweet potato chips. They had no taste and was not pleasant to bite. Had to return it. But other than that their smoothies are delicious and granola bowls were amazing

Wow! So glad I picked Genius for my 1st meal in Bali! Very fresh, healthy and delicious tasting ginger lemon fish and a dragon fruit smoothie. I highly recommend this dish. It’s a thick white fish served with potatoes, bok choy, spinach, avocado and just full of flavor. Also the staff are great, music is fantastic and you can sit inside or out on the beach. Great prices too. Cheers to being in Bali!

1. I had my first lunch in town here!🤗
2. The dishes are well-cooked and the portions are generous. Everything is honestly fresh and delicious.
3. You might meet some small, friendly stray dogs here — they behave very gently.
By the way, the check is more than affordable.
PS The coffee here is also exceptional. There are always different kinds of cakes and ice cream on the menu.✌️ Didn't I mention the marvellous sea view?

I loved the variety of the cuisine. Everything was very clean and absolutely delicious. I specifically remember the Pad Thai and sate ayam. They were both wonderfully spicy and flavorful. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. It's a really nice spot, and the cool little boutiques nearby were a great bonus.

We had such a great dining experience at Made’s Warung Seminyak! The Nasi Campur Special was full of flavor, and the Nasi Sam Sam Crispy was perfectly cooked — crispy outside, tender inside, and so satisfying. I also loved the Arak Passion cocktail — refreshing and beautifully balanced.
A special shoutout to Mbok Surya, who served us with such warmth and friendliness. She even offered me a tester of Arak Madu, which had a stronger, richer taste — definitely a must-try! Her kind smile and thoughtful service made our visit extra enjoyable.
I also love the ambience of the restaurant — nature-inspired, warm, and serene. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks in Bali.

Recommend this popular authentic Balinese restaurant that offers many traditional dishes. Good value dishes with good portion sizes and reasonable prices for a restaurant located in central Kuta touristy area. All the dishes we ordered were delicious and fulfilling. Simple, no nonsense service. Basic simple decor.

We chance upon this restaurant via Google Map as most of the nearby restaurants are closed; no regrets as the food is great.
Since we arrived around 8 plus in the evening, there is no queue. The staff got us seated and ready to take our orders anytime.
A special shout out to a service staff named Dayu Wina; she has been very helpful throughout. Friendly and always giving her best smile, she ensured that we had a great dining experience.
Let’s get back to the food - we ordered a few dishes for sharing (e.g. Satay Babi, Satay Lilit Ikan and Sayur Urab). Both Satay dishes are delicious, but surprisingly, the Sayur Urab which is vegetables with spices and grated coconut is very undeniably new but tasty.
We order a main for every one of us, Mie Goreng (Fried Noodle), Nasi Goreng ala Made (Fried Rice), Nasi Goreng Special (which is Nasi Goreng Ala Made with a few sticks of Satay), Tuna in Bali Sauce (served with rice), Udang Lumpia (served with rice) and Deep Fried Fish with Chilli Gravy (served with rice).
Every food has its own merits, but all are delicious; especially the simple Mie Goreng and the Nasi Goreng.
We went on to order desserts; brownies, apples crumble, lemon tart and the best among all desserts is the Fried Banana.
With the great service and delicious food, it has been a great dining experience for this is my first trip to Bali.

Dandelion is a popular Indonesian restaurant in the scenic town of Canggu. The owner, Gani, is friendly and will serve you delicious food made only with quality ingredients. Try the gado-gado (vegetables in peanut sauce), chicken or shrimp nasi goreng and bananas with shredded coconut and palm sugar - all delicious!
I chose this spot very randomly for our last date night in Bali and wow was it the perfect choice! The atmosphere was so beautiful on a nice windy evening. The food was great and the staff were so kind! They even responded so well over WhatsApp so be sure to send them a message if you’d like to make a reservation. I had requested to be seated in a nice spot and they definitely delivered.
I’ll be thinking about this place for a long time. If you’re ever in Canggu and would love an intimate dinner setting, let this be the one!

Casa Tua Canggu is such a beautiful and unique place to enjoy lunch or dinner. The setting feels like a little jungle oasis, full of greenery and charm, which makes the whole experience really special.

Absolutely loved this Japanese rooftop restaurant I visited yesterday! The prices were very reasonable, and the view overlooking the ocean was perfect for watching the surfers ride the waves. While staying at the enchanting Hotel Tugu next door, I discovered ji Restaurant – and it quickly became my favorite spot for dinner in Canggu.
Set in a breathtaking 1930s Javanese teakwood villa, originally part of a 1706 Chinese temple, the space is filled with Asian antiques, art, and soul. It’s elegant, unique, and full of history – one of the most atmospheric places in Bali.
The rooftop terrace offers stunning views over the Indian Ocean – perfect for sunset or watching the surf lineup during the day.
The food is Japanese fusion at its finest – fresh sushi, creative small plates, and bold, balanced flavors. Every dish is beautifully presented and deeply satisfying.
And the cocktails are outstanding – especially the Kublai, a bold and earthy mix of tequila, whiskey, tamarind, turmeric, and ginger honey. It’s a sophisticated tropical drink with a clear nod to Jamu, Bali’s traditional herbal elixir – rich, vibrant, and unforgettable.

The food was healthy, fresh and farm to table. Simple and delicious we order the coconut passion fruit pancakes, eggs Benedict with a side of bacon, avocado seeds and roasted mushrooms. All of it was really well done while easy, the ingredients were perfect.
Decor is clean, minimalist and filled with light. It’s a great start of the day and fits in perfectly with the Bali vibes.

I visited this lovely lunch spot during my trip to Bali, and the food truly stood out. The place itself was very cute.
Even though i don’t like pancakes, these were unforgettable, thick, soft, hearty, yet sweet and chewy in the best way. I still think about them.
We also tried the falafel, which, while not entirely authentic, was surprisingly tasty and refreshing.
The vibe and service were a bit flat but that wasn’t a big problem. And even though they were very polite.

Watercress Batu Belig is an incredible place, perfect for breakfast or lunch. We decided to have brunch and tried a variety of delicious dishes on the menu.
They offer a wide range of coffee and tea options, and we opted for long black coffee, which was absolutely delightful.
Uma, our friendly server, was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the drink and menu options. The entire staff was kind and attentive.
The Boujee Scramble was a standout dish. The whipped truffle eggs were perfectly cooked, with the ideal balance of scallions and mushrooms. Sourdough toast is an excellent accompaniment and there are several options.
We also enjoyed scrambled eggs, roasted tomatoes, bacon, and ham, all served piping hot. It was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a long time.
Feeling adventurous, we decided to order something extra. Uma’s recommendation was spot on—the Coconut & Passion Fruit Pancakes (2) are a must-try! The pancakes were incredibly light and fluffy, and the passion fruit and candied coconut toppings were simply divine. The coconut ice cream added the perfect finishing touch.

We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Watercress Batu Belig, and we want to express our deepest gratitude to Uma and the staff for making our visit so memorable.
Satisfied my craving for Açaí bowl even though it wasn’t the morning. They were kind enough to check and make it for me. Other menu items looked great too and I ended up getting lamb kofta as well. It was great! Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I will return soon to try other items.
Watercress is the best place to have classic egg dishes. I started my day with Benny Brunch - Two perfectly poached eggs over toasted english muffins with spoons + spinach + avocado + sauteed mushrooms + fruits along with Iced Long Black Coffee. The way everything came together as a dish was a treat to the eyes, taste buds & my belly.
Wonderful place in the center of Ubud, attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere, a lot of tasty options from morning breakfast till late dinner. Great cocktails, an either healthy or good quality cheat meals .

The pork ribs just fell off the bone, sauce went very well with it as well. The pork sate had really nice flavour as well. Crispy pork belly was good, although my least favourite out of the 3 dishes we tried. Overall the food was really nice, quick and friendly service!
It was pretty warm in the restaurant as they didn't have aircondition, only fans.
Foodwise, unless you are a pork lover, i personally don't think it was out of this world. Though the pork satay and desserts were not too bad.
And yes, they charge for plain water.
BEST MARINATED PORK RIBS WE HAVE EVER HAD!!! GO THERE! Just smell the beautiful aromas from the street and you will have to go there! Great BBQ out the front, beautiful service, fast service, great cocktails, the RIBS omg soooooo good, they fall off the bone and the flavour is to die for, we also had BBQ corn on the cob, chips, nasi Goreng with chicken - all absolutely beautiful food, can not fault anything, and so much fun when they dance to serve you your cocktail. Such a great fun experience! Definitely a happy and tasty one. You won't be disappointed. Better than any Aussie Ribs we have ever had! Melt in your mouth good!! We've been back a 2nd time on this Bali stay already and there might be more visits still!! Yummmmmmmm!!! 😊
Hog Wild serves some of the nicest pork ribs in town — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The price is on the expensive side, but it’s worth it for the quality you get. Service is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff making the dining experience even better. Plenty of parking space is available, making it convenient for visitors.
Our first lunch stop arriving into Bali, and the food is delicious 😋. The place was literally empty, and it seems that it only gets busy for dinner service. Ample seating and lots of pigs! Free parking is available at the back of restaurant.

After reading good reviews about this place I decided to visit here to have some authentic Indonesian food.
I went to the food counter and asked them what is best I can have? Upon that, the boy and lady started giggling looking at me and I felt like they were making fun of me.
I had Nasi Kare special which was amazing in taste with moderate food quantity.
I finished my food and went to pay at the counter and again they started giggling at me which I found very weird.
In the entire Bali, I have seen people making fun of Indians but at this place it was extreme and not at all acceptable and I am giving 3 stars only because of that bad attitude.
You can choose from the menu or order as many side dishes as you like from the display case (order rice first if necessary). There are about 20-30 types of side dishes in the display case, and everything I chose was delicious. The prices are reasonable.
I ordered calamari separately, but it had a thick batter that reminded me of tempura, so it was a disappointment.
They are used to serving in English, and although they are not particularly friendly, they are accustomed to serving foreigners.
The restaurant is located on a narrow road, and taxis are likely to stop on the road just before it. It is about 100 meters from there.
The atmosphere is open-air, clean, and comfortable. The only thing that bothered me was that there were fruit flies in the display case.

Great food for a good price. It’s priced a little more than in non touristy areas but still living up to the name and the quality and standard is good.
I’ve been to this place many times because I like the food and being able to choose from the available dishes, assisted buffet style or ‘warteg’, though you can also order from the menu.
Delicious local dishes, pick what you fancy and pay what you order from the selection of pre-cooked items displayed on the plates or on the bain marie. Prices are reasonable, my plate cost IDR 42k (Beef Rendang, Lodeh, Bakwan Jagung, Tumis Kangkung, Nasi Kuning & Sambal Matah). The other dish with more meat was IDR 62k (Beef Rendang, Tuna Satay, Bakwan Jagung, Tempe Orek, Keripik Singkong Balado, Nasi Kuning & Sambal Matah). Tourist & local approved, definitely will be back.

Started off with Char Siew Satay and Karipap, the satay's worked perfectly with the cucumber/pineapple pickle.
For mains we shared the Char Kway Teow which was absolutely fantastic and the Roasted Chicken, as a few dishes had sold out.
Was well impressed with the local beers available as well.

This is a Malaysian fusion restaurant located in a small alley. All the staff are friendly, and there is air conditioning so you can enjoy a cool meal. I ordered mango juice and pork ribs and it tasted really good.
What a gem. The food was delicious and a lot of technique used to give thoughtful balanced dishes. Seriously the best curry puff I've ever tasted. Cocktails also excellent again very thoughtful and balanced. Definitely worth the 2 min walk from the main drag.
Awesome malaysian/singaporean food, best was the char kway teow, next was the chicken rice. Crispy pork belly a bit too fatty for my taste. Charsiew was good. Chicken waffle was fantastic too. Roti canai not as crispy as we had hoped, accompanying curry had generous chunks of fork tender chicken. Drinks were fantastic - mango shake was thick and heavenly, milo shiokzilla was really shiok and sinful. Teh tarik well pulled, tends towards sweet, ask for less sweet if you don't like sweet. Rose tea was warm and soothing, served in chic insulated tea cup. Great ambience, small space but well decorated, tables were clean, we played some card games while waiting for food and after finishing our meal. Place is in the small alley from main road, have to walk in a bit. Owners are Indonesian and Malaysian, friendly and came to chat with us about our meal. Will suggest to expand menu and include some south east asian desserts like chendol, ice kachang, ice jelly, grass jelly, or Chinese desserts like almond paste, sesame paste. We would have ordered these if they were on the menu.
Sadly, I found this gem of a restaurant on my last night in Bali on my last trip there. We only had the pork belly and rice and it was the best pork belly I've had in Bali.

One small point to note: the outdoor area doubles as a smoking section, and this wasn’t made clear during booking. It made it difficult to enjoy the outdoor atmosphere due to smoke. That said, the team responded quickly and kindly to our request to move indoors, which we appreciated.

Such a wonderful spot! The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel like part of the family — especially Nura, who is always so warm and welcoming. It’s the time of the month and I sat down and putting pressure on my lower abdomen (IYKYK) then a woman staff came up to me asked if I want warm water.
I was surprised as I didn’t say anything to anyone, she then gave me warm water and asked if I want a pillow to help put pressure on my belly.
She’s such an angel. I never had that kind of treatment on any establishment and to think I didn’t even say a word. She’s just so attentive and genuinely caring.

it's a halal local restaurant located near kuta. they sell east java food, nothing fancy, just delicious daily food. first, you come to the staff, and order whatever suits you. they usually give you rice, and then you can choose the proteins and veggies. i like their fried scrambled egg, stir fried tempe, and kangkong or morning glory. you can ask for sambal or chili paste too.
once you order, they will give you the food and a price tag indicating the money you have to pay. but, just sit down, order the drink, and eat your food. once you finish eating, bring the price tag to the cashier and tell them what your drink is to pay the total price. they can speak basic english. for the parking area, it's more suitable for the motorcycle.
My favorite place for local food. I start with a Kopi Susu. Noodles and some sliced green beans for my health. I've eaten here a dozen times in the past few years and I've not gotten ill from the food here. That's why I keep going back. The people are always wonderful to me as I only know English.

Enjoyed freshly handcrafted doughnuts with Iced Americano and Iced Latte at Dough Darlings Seminyak for breakfast. I was surprised to see the variety of Doughnut options they were offering. The fluffy textured Salted Caramel Almond and White Choco Speculoos were perfectly sweet. They have also introduced delicious vegan doughnuts (Rice Choco and Cinnamon Sugar). Good vibe with ambient music, great wifi and friendly staff.

Finally visited Hungry Bird after knowing and loving their beans from so many other Bali coffee shops! First impression love the cozy, homey vibe, and all the staff were super nice and friendly.
I ordered a piccolo for my quick morning coffee and sat at the bar area. Later, I found out that we can actually choose the espresso beans, too bad the cashier didn’t mention it earlier, so I just got the house blend.

It feels like every corner has been thoughtfully put together to create an atmosphere that is equal parts artistic and welcoming. It is the kind of place that feels special whether you are stopping in for a casual lunch or settling in for a longer evening meal.
The food more than matched the setting. The fresh coconut we ordered was incredible, filled with refreshing water and plenty of soft, sweet coconut meat that made it stand out from any we had elsewhere. The Mediterranean platter was also excellent, especially the grilled vegetables, which were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Everything we tried tasted fresh and carefully prepared, the kind of meal that feels nourishing and indulgent at the same time. The restaurant is actually located outside. You may not be able to tell with all the decor but make sure you wear your bug spray. The aesthetic of the place is beautiful. They have pics of rap and r&b artist throughout the restaurant. Who could miss the last supper above the bar! We had reservations for a group of 20+ and they were able to accommodate us. I ordered the Popeyes fried chicken sandwich, onion rings, truffle prawn, and buffalo wings. The wings were good but definitely not buffalo wings. There was no sauce or spice. They tasted sweet. There wasn't enough truffle on the prawns. I got some to go for a friend and they drenched the pwrans with the truffle sauce. My chicken sandwich and onion rings were on point. My appetizers and main dish came out 5 mins apart. They gave me no time in between to enjoy. Although my experience was 4/5 some people in the group had to send back their steak because it didn't smell fresh and salmon was under cooked.

We had an amazing experience at Penny Lane! We started with two refreshing virgin pina coladas, a delicious Mee Goreng meal, an incredibly fresh superfood salad, and some of the best mac and cheese balls we've ever tasted. Seriously, order those!

It doesnt taste as tasty as it used to be. Satay still tasty but crispy shrimp is such a let down since i have been craving for this particular side dish. Soup is a too salty. But would still come back for old time sake.
We visited Wardani for our late lunch and ordered nasi campur Bali. My favorite was the shrimps, which were crispy and tasty. The runner up was the satays, which were tender and juicy. The shredded chicken and vegetables were okay. The overall taste and portion were worth 42k. The service was quick, but do not expect the good ambience for a local eatery like this.

Curious about this place so i gave it a try since my villa is only 4 mins walk away from it. I ordered mix platter and really enjoyed it! It’s such a good portion for two. The sweet and spicy sauce was really really good, it complimented the pork really really well. Definitely will comeback to eat here again!

I ate here almost every night on my 3 weeks stay in Sanur - and the nights I didn't I regretted going to a tourist restaurant, paying double price for half of the food, and it tasting like nothing as most tourist-focused restaurant use very little spice. This place is a typical buffet style warung with genuine Indonesian food. It has maybe 10 different choices of veggie dishes and another 10 ish with meat, so you never get bored. Most of the time I had no idea what I was eating, but it all tasted delicious. You can select 4-5 dishes and it won't cost you more than 20k. Next to it there's a juice bar with juices for 10k.

This is my standard breakfast/lunch spot. The people are very nice and explained what food was what because I only know English. I have eaten here over a dozen times in the past ten years and I have not gotten sick. So that's one of my reasons for going back.
Not sure what I ate but I was guided by a handful of nice Indonesian women. This place serves traditional Indonesian food. I had different iterathons of chicken with a giant bowl of rice with a soda. Total was 40k. Great service and nice folks. Will come again
Good Nasi campur, plenty to choose from and cheap. Although it’s confusing with the price. Sometimes the price is different even if I order the same thing. I usually get the ayam sisit and tempe kare, but will keep coming back to try more. There’s a really lovely woman that works there, she’s always happy to see foreigner speak Indonesian 😆 I love the es jeruk too but would like to try the juices. They have another menu if you don’t feel comfortable choosing Nasi campur
Great place to eat Indonesian food. Also as a vegetarian (many delicious options). Perfectly spicy and flavourful. Affordable price and you can even buy groceries/veggies/fruits/krupuk there to bring home. I’ve been eating from here many times either takeaway or in the shop.

not bad. plenty of street bike parking. portions decent but nachos and sandwhich messy to eat/fell apart (that’s normal for nachos but not for a sandwhich). taste was good. indoor and outdoor seating. annoyances r having that expensive pointless glass water option only (35-40k for 1.5 glasses) and the manager checking in with who’s your meal? nobody wants this. seating inside not comfortable. overall good for the taste, but not the experience.
A friend recommended it. We found it interesting since it's a bit different from the usual taste of Mexican food we have had. It taste good though and have a big portion. So, it has reasonable price as well as friendly service. Should try it if you are in Sanur.

It’s very nice place to eat special West Java cuisine located in the center of governor civic center it’s good to entertain business partner or people from government in an semi formal lunch or dinner. However in term of taste the IBC in sunset Road is better and also bigger while here is smaller. Very recommended place fast service and hygiene. Thank you 🙏

Enjoyed Sundanese cuisine and this place specializes in fish (big portion). Had Nila Pepes (steamed Tilapia). Also enjoyed Karedok which is Sundanese vegetable salad mixed with freshly made peanut dressing. And Bandrek - a warm Sundanese beverage with ginger and spices and brown sugar with coconut pieces floating on top. The Tumis Pucuk Labu ( sauté pumpkin leaves ) was nice too!

Coming from Australia to Bali as a massive fan of frozen yogurt I absolutely loved this place. There weren’t many flavours but the ones that were they were really good. I put dragonfruit and chocolate yogurt in my bowl with peanut butter Oreos, choc chips, mini marshmallows, nata de coco, Nutella, and lychee gummies and it was absolutely delicious. (Peanut butter Oreos are a must try!)

The location is great, the service was okay, but I am sorry yhat I’m not a fan of their yogurt. The white one (I forgot the name, if I am not mistaken it’s the vanilla one) was the best flavour of all. But the other flavours tasted so artificial on my palate which I dont prefer ☹️
But thats okay, at least I picked one best flavour for me and I was with a friend who loves it and he finished all mine so there was no waste 😊
Not every flavour is yogurt, some are soft serve but they do put information on each of the machine. Lots of choices for the topping.
A little froyo spot in the middle of kayu aya, recommended for those looking for a cool place to cool down and enjoy a sweet treat. Decent frozen yoghurt with a variety of flavors from plain, pineapple, avocado, chocolate, melon and yuzu. My personal favourite is the avocado-chocolate swirl & plain tart.
Price is Rp 24,000 per 100 gr and my bill came about Rp 74,880 for 312gr.

Similar concept to Australia’s Yo-Chi but definitely not as delicious. Flavours of yoghurt really sour & didn’t sit well with someone with mild lactose intolerance. Beware the add ons. You turn the compartments & a whole heap pours out no matter how hard you try to control it. Good business for them as it’s charged by weight! Tried & wouldn’t go back personally.
It's not great quality yogurt - keeps it's shape meaning it has probably added emulsifiers and/or extenders, so mid-range product
Large cup means it's easy to overload at higher price
I enjoyed it, but be aware it's not as healthy as perhaps you'd think, and easy to over-portion and you pay per 100g of product

I was just walking around looking for food and randomly found this place. It’s on the second floor, and I really liked the vibe... you can sit and watch scooters and cars go by. I had my first breakfast in Canggu at Ons Warung, and it was certainly a good one! I initially wanted to have pancakes, but got curious about the coconut syrniky so had to try! It was presented very nicely and served with fruits, strawberry jam and coconut sauce, and a fruit juice. I liked it: tasty and not too sweet. The ginger tea was also good, made with fresh ginger and spices. I went back a few times, and everything I ordered was good (chicken wrap, dadar gulung, banana pancakes, espresso, smashed avocado toasts with poached eggs). The restaurant has two floors, which both have a nice atmosphere, and it is possible to sit at tables or at counters overlooking the street. All staff members are very friendly. All of that for a great price. I will definitely go back. Terima kasih to the team!

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Canggu. The food is delicious and they have lots of healthy options here. The staff is super friendly and they always find a solution for whatever you ask for. I’m very picky and usually ask to change this particular ingredient with another one and they always respond positively and do it perfectly. I feel really special every time 😇
Sometimes I dine in, sometimes I take away and in both scenarios the staff doing their job amazingly good 👍🏻 And it’s so cool that in the morning you can get a yummy cappuccino with your breakfast just for +15K 🤩

This is the best Balinese tasting food! We have traveled through Indonesia with our family and this was one memorable place! Loved the ambience, loved the service, extremely enjoyed the food!
I love this place. It's incredibly calming. Despite sitting close to other tables, it feels like we're in a private area. The atmosphere is consistently pleasant: comfortable, relaxing and with a traditional vibe that makes you want to linger. Their Balinese menu is comprehensive. Prices are reasonable with generous portions. Not suitable for working from cafe since there are limited electrical outlets, but the WiFi is excellent. There's plenty of parking available.
The price is also very affordable. For this level of taste and comfortable atmosphere, the price is absolutely worth it! The service was fast and friendly, making it a perfect spot for a quick yet satisfying lunch.
I will definitely return to try their other Balinese snacks and menus. Highly recommended!

All the foods are delicious. We got the Tipat Kuah Ayam Betutu, Tipat Cantok Gula Bali, and Katupat Thai Gunting. Those are all good. Highly suggest to pick the hearted items. We got sweet porridge desserts. You pick the items and they mix it on the plate. For drink I got the Es Leci The Joglo. It was really good.

I was really disappointed with my experience here today. While eating, I found a small piece of plastic (looked like glass) inside my meal — which is unsafe and very concerning. I showed it to the staff, but there wasn’t much of a proper response or apology.
I understand that accidents can happen, but cleanliness and food safety should always be the top priority for any restaurant. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their kitchen hygiene and quality control to make sure this doesn’t happen to other customers.

Tried this warung bread the australian consulate. It looked good from outside and the prices were very reasonable. The drinks are good but the food is subpar. Had the fried clams which were dried and overcooked. The fried squid and shrimp were the same. Service was good until they brought my food covered in sauce even though I asked for sauce in the side and repeated it many times. Not a place if return to unless it was for a drink

After 45min my order never came to me i was thinking they still preparing my order. i came to their desk again to ask my order it was READY yet on behind cashier table and food was cold, which is kitchen staff made the food as fast as order came to them. But their services staff very slow and not professional. Restaurant wasnt busy i know it because i was waiting more than 40min. Take away Customer is important as customer dine-in too. And we still have to pay for 15% tax&services. But no service.....

Surprisingly delicious local cuisine! We have lunch here and very surprised by how authentic and delicious all the food here. For salad and starter we try Urab, cah kangkung and plencing kangkung, all is authentic and very flavorful, the main dish we try grilled prawns, grilled carps, chicken and fried tempeh. It’s just amazingly delicious, the shrimp paste with Balinese herbs and spice really bring this food into another level. The ingredients are so fresh and the staff very friendly.
Visited for lunch at this open-air spot in Bali, but the experience left much to be desired. Despite the pleasant atmosphere, the price doesn't align with the portion size. The dishes were disappointingly lackluster, particularly the grilled prawn and clams, which lacked flavor compared to Jimbaran. The only highlight was the sauteed water spinach.
To top it off, I discovered a fly in my tofu, completely ruining my appetite. While the manager offered apologies and a complimentary fruit platter, it doesn't make up for the hygiene lapse. Removing the fried tofu and tempeh from the bill felt like a necessity rather than a goodwill gesture.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against this place. The cost doesn't justify the portions, and the taste falls short of expectations. Hygiene concerns further mar the overall dining experience.

If you're looking to treat your loved ones to delicious Balinese cuisine, Ayam Betutu Khas Gilimanuk is a great choice. Located in the Pemecutan Kaja area, this eatery offers tender and flavorful ayam betutu, a traditional Balinese dish. It's known for its unique blend of spices that make the chicken exceptionally tasty.
I've not try the other branch close to the airport. But this place is pretty good flavor, taste and enough pedas from the spiced kuah. We order one Ayam Betutu Kuah and one Fried Bebek. Both comes with side dishes of fried peanuts, sambaled kangkong and beansprouts+grated coconut+kangkong. These side dishes are one of the better ones I have tasted 👍.
This place is clean and their service is good.

This time I tried the nasi campur.
Nasi campur is really nice has so many stuff on it. There are chicken, peanut, sambal matah, the small slice of betutu sauced chicken, tempe, fried flour corn, vegetables, soup and rice. Overall is really enjoyable and hot enough for spicy lover.

Good food with spicy Herb. We go to here at night when the place almost close, lol. Thanks god still can taste the famous ayam betutu in here. The spicy chicken make you want more to taste it. Also they have sate lilit in here. Drink it with temulawak make it complete. The price is not to expensive, reasonable price make. Hope all of you enjoy this menu.

Located on busy Merdeka Street. One of the most well-known betutu restaurant in Bali. Their betutu is delish and of course, a must-try menu. I also tried their chicken lawar, which turned to be pretty delish as well.
Price is rather affordable. Large sitting area and parking area. What needs to be improved is the service though. It took them more than 20 minutes just to serve the drinks I ordered.
Overall, a recommended place to eat Balinese cuisine.

The place is a typical Warung and mostly serves locals. If you can speak a bit of Bahasa it helps as they have little to no English. As they sat us down, we asked for the menu but apparently there is not such thing as they serve only one dish available. So we obliged and awaited for the surprised dish, we figured it must be tasty and somewhat well-balanced. They also sold us "freshly squeezed" orange juice which was probably half orange watered down up to 3/4 of the glass.
When the food arrived it was stone cold and consisted of a bit of white rice and broken up boiled chicken with a couple of green leaves and a quarter of overboiled egg. The taste was very bland and tasted just like the ingredients mentioned, boiled rice and boiled dry chicken. If this was the delicacy that was so well praised in the previous comments, so be it, we can make peace with these cold and bland flavors but when they charge you almost 150k rs for it, you just realize that, they not only dont care about the food they serve, they are also not interested in creating returning customers and have very little respect for foreigners. This is such a shame as we were hoping for some authentic food experience. We dont mind paying for decent food and or the experience but this was almost like a slap in the face. Fingers crossed we won't get sick from cold food that has been sitting there for hours...
I am a regular visitor to this local warung. It serves a set dish; “nasi campur bali”, either with plain rice or porridge with a full broth. Accompanied with local sambal (matah) . Always drink the freshly squeezed orange juice (Indonesian style) asked without sugar. After ordering the food arrived within minutes . I will be back again.

Decent place next time the airport. Service was fast. Ordered the nasi campur komplit set. Liked the sides dishes. The prawns with shells at first looked inedible but end it was so good. Everything was good except the soup was ok only.
The place is so deceiving from the front look. It looks nothing special. Just like any ordinary resto. But when we got inside. Wow... Impressive!
I like the decoration, the vibe, it's so relaxing. Not overly decorated, not too little, just great!
But there's a downside, because it's so spacious, calling the attendants is challenging. Luckily the table nearer to the mini bar heard me and also called out to the team.
The food is pretty good. They didn't give too many options, to avoid people going banana choosing which is the better one.
But i must take note of the coffee. Please use some filters. Well probably the idea is to make it like how people of the past or tradition. But i just can't enjoy it. 2 of my friends also cannot. I still manage to drink half of the cup. My friends leave them looking untouched.
One more thing i like is, the place prepared a lockable charging cabinets. Impressive!

Food:4/5. Order the Complete set and for those that want to stay away from chili, do order the complete as the dishes are separated from the rice. You can pick the chili. The rest of the menu, ingredients are all in a plate.
Food is tasty and good, slightly dry. This is halal so no pork. The beef is tender and nice. Overall, if you want something quick and near airport, this is a good consideration. If you have time to spare, there are other options.

My husband and I were after a quick meal near the airport as we had to catch our flight and stumbled upon this warung. It's not exactly a warung in the traditional sense considering the size, but the food was good with a taste of homemade food. Portion was perfect, not too much not too little. Service was quick too, so perfect if you are on a tight window before your flight.

The salad and main course was incredible. Was going to give it 5 stars, was very satisfied. Until the waitress brought us the bill. My husband asked the waitress: is service included in the bill or not? She says no. Husband looked at the bill and asks her, what does “biaya pelayanan” mean? Because he saw the amount billed next to that name. The waitress didn't answer anything, just ignored it and it was obvious on her face that we had put her in a dead end. Later, when we looked through a translator to see what it meant, it turned out to be a service charge) it was unpleasant, although up to that point we liked everything very much.

They have many kinds of dishes and drinks. When I went there, they are having promo 15K for the coffee and 30K for coffee + croissant/danish. Tried the Udang Cabai Garam and Double Expresso. Overall quite satisfied with the quality. The shrimp cooked nicely with enough seasonings and taste. The sunny-side up cooked nicely also and not overcooked.
They have a bar, indoor-outdoor area, Wi-Fi, AC and a few places to charge. In the outdoor area, you can find a see-saw, a few car toys, kid's playground, and swings.
Very well design! Love its ambience, its hard to believe theres a very nice restaurant inside if you looking it from the outside street. Also its a bit hard to find this place at night because theres no light box/sign. Picture says them all. Staff were friendly, their coffee was good with reasonable price. Only have the chance to try their coffee and baked fries, that was yummy! Will come back to try another menu for sure!

They have amazing, super friendly staff. The owner is very nice and welcoming! The food was amazing. We've tried from their great breakfast menu to their amazing coffees and of course their lunch menu. They have probably the best chicken sandwich in Bali that I've had so far! Great Atmosphere! love their coffee! Highly Recommended! They just opened about a month ago. Definitely support them and enjoy their amazing food!

One of the oldest restaurant in Denpasar that is still open from the 60s. Their menu and taste is believed to be the same as the old days with old style cooking. Their noodles and fried rice have that "wok hei" or the smoke flavour from the wok stir frying technique.
The interior is very old and might need a little bit of uplift and renovation. With the newly planned Badung market and the riverside seating area, this restaurant can be a good selling point to the area.

I have tried their menus since 2001, surprisingly the quality of taste is still the same, even the venue also not much change. The owner lady still there hope she’s always healthy.

I had a sense that I was surrounded by my people when I came here for lunch. It was a bit of a hike and totally worth it.
I almost don’t want to write about how amazing my experience was because it’s a place that I’d prefer to keep to myself so that I can come back and escape everything.
It’s amazing how being surrounded by an aesthetic like this can take one to some place that’s simple and peaceful.
You probably want to know about the food. Well when I arrived I was so impressed I thought that there was no way that the food would be able to stand up to the full delivery of a beautiful place.
I got a bit cocky and ordered a few items. Lychee Soda, chicken spring rolls, and the steak with potatoes. I didn’t get my waitresses name but she was perfect.
The lychee soda delivered on taste and presentation.
The spring rolls had a perfect crunch and crisp to them, I wanted 3 more orders. 🫠
The steak was everything that my body needed in protein. Giving me that sense of comfort food I didn’t know I needed at the time.
It seems as if a few people like to come in and hang around so that they can take the quick insta pic or video but not many.
I’d say this place is so much more than an insta spot. With reasonable prices and a connection to having a chill local restaurant experience it’s everything I want in a food destination where I can just be with myself.

I attracted to come here when I saw the 2D concept in this cafe. The cafe has parking area in front of the cafe but sharing a spacious parking area with Freshindo. The ambience is unique. Everyone came here for photo session so you need to wait your turn patiently. The food and beverages is so so but I love their ice coffee. The staff is helpful and nice, they don't push us to re-order though we were sitting there quite long for 3 hours. That was made my reunion nicely
The first 2D cafe in Bali. Every spot here is soooo instagramable. The ice cappuccino coffee and dark chocolate cake I ordered were really good. They got AC and the wifi has no problem. Noir Cafe is so comfortable and suitable for remote worker. The Tom Yum is soooooo good!
Came here on my way back from Bedugul to Denpasar. Sorry to say all of the food we ordered were quite bland😭 came with group of friends and they were experiencing the same thing.
However, had to mention the place was comfortable and the service was excellent!

Small little Warung in Sanur. Beautiful gardens. Pizza was great. 550kIDR for 3 people including drinks. The area is a little dark if walking you can easily get a Grab taxi if a problem.
What a little gem! 5 minute walk off a busy road.
We had 2 Pizzas that were delicious and made from all fresh ingredients.
The restaurant is set in a little tropical oasis with fish ponds.
Make sure you have a walk around the garden.

Last thursday I weaved my way around Jln Bumi Ayu to the corner of Jln Pungutan to visit my favourite local Warung Papa Pizza. I was greeted with open arms and a big “welcome back Mama”.
The ambience and the peace in their home is amazing and the menu is abundant with Pizza, Pasta and Indonesian cuisine.
I ordered BBQ chicken Pizza, it was delicious, the BBQ sauce they make themselves and it is soo tasty it is one of the best pizzas I have had.
The crust is delicious, I normally leave the crust but here I eat every last bit. The Bintang was chilled to perfection and for desert I had Pisang Goreng. Which finished off my meal perfectly.
We ate here yesterday and the balinese signature pizza they serve is fantastic! It’s a cozy restaurant with multiple seating spots. The staff made us feel really welcome and gave extra information about the food and desserts. Their English is also good.
Pizza was better than some of the other local places, be sure to ask for crispy, toppings are a bit light on, prices are a little high for the amount of toppings that are applied to the pizza. Garden area which you sit in has different levels and areas which are quite. Beer prices are the highest we have paid for a warung. The warung is located off the main road so there is minimal traffic.
First went 7 years ago. Came back today. Can confirm they still make amazing pizza and have the same great service i remember.

It’s not often I demolish a whole, large pizza but I did last night! And not because they are small, they aren’t. Just very tasty and light , thin crust.
Worth seeking out as location is discreet but worth it, the staff are so very friendly and appreciate your custom so much.

Located on Jalan Danau Poso, Warung Blanjong is a popular eatery in Bali offering a mix of Indonesian and European cuisine. I ordered mi goreng and Tempe and they were both excellent, I would give both 5 stars, since I am quite picky about mi goreng. I ordered crepe with palm auger and coconut. This one was around 4 stars only.
Because it was so hot, the waitress brought me the personal handheld fans, so cute.
I would definitely come back to try out other dishes here.

Warung Blanjong has a cosy modern wooden style that feels warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is tasty: the steak and pasta were good. Prices are reasonable -but on a middle high end- for a tourist area like Sanur.
Lovely establishment that has a classic atmosphere of infusing Indonesian and western cultural influences. Great selections on the menu that can appeal to nearly anyone and we came here for vegetarian options. The staff are prompt and cordial. The food came out really fast and it was delicious. The pricing of our Indonesian dishes were overpriced for the offering in comparison too many other establishments.
My absolute favorite restaurant in Bali! Every single visit, the food has been consistently delicious. The chicken satay is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the Nasi Campur is extraordinary — I loved it so much I ordered it three times during my stay. Their green juice is also super fresh and tasty, a perfect match with the meals. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food and great vibes!

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Bali. The Nasi Campur was outstanding, packed with flavor, and the barracuda fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. Came here for dinner on our last night in Sanur and bummed we didn’t come sooner. Dinner was fantastic. Incredibly fresh and beautiful flavours. Had the nasi goreng, baked barramundi, cap cay and spring rolls. Definitely add to your ‘must visit’ list. And so cheap….all these dishes plus two soft drinks 330,000 rupiah.

Went for the Mie Goreng , Nasi Goreng and the Ayam Sate.
My Mie Goreng was outstanding , plenty of veges and chicken mixed in , it was one of the best I've had , my wife was the same with her Nasi Goreng.
Ayam Sate was 10 sticks of goodness with the true sate sauce drizzled over the top with a bowl of steamed rice.
We had 2 soft drinks , there was no tax , the you g girls that served us were very friendly and it only cost 110k... outstanding.

What I can said, it was spicy even with only few chili.
Place is big and price is cheep. In addition, other than spicy noodle they also sold some type of dim sum and few drinks.
The taste was not bad but nothing special except for the level of spiciness. But worth it to try.
Beside their annoying waitress which is a bit lack of manners, their noodles were not bad. They offer you with only one main menu with spicy leveling and some side dishes and quite inexpensive.
Here you find all levels of spicy noodles... There are two types : "mie setan" and "mie iblis". Both taste are good. The dim sum on the other hand is not recommended.
Sorry, but i never ever make bad review for a meals before, but this is just horrible, it only taste spicy with nothing else, the noodle doesn't even had any seasoning perhaps?
I waited too long for my other side dishes, and they left them out in the first floor, while they deliver other ppl meals to their table, waiting for my gf to pick it up ourself, while i already told them i was upstairs.

Super cheap spicy noodles. Great taste, super spicy even the lowest level is super spicy. ALWAYS CROWDED and a bit long waiting time. You better bring the food home rather than eating at the restaurant as it is super hot, hot, no air circulation, small selection of drink (this is important as the noodles is spicy as hell), and super noisy. But if you want to taste the real mie kober then go ahead, order your food and eat inside. Good luck!
