Kuta Beach is a bustling sandy stretch in Bali, known for its vibrant atmosphere and stunning sunsets. It's a popular spot for surfing, especially for beginners due to the soft sand bar that makes wipeouts safer. Surf schools and instructors are readily available along the beach, offering lessons and board rentals. Away from the main beach area, Kuta is also famous for Waterbom, an acclaimed water park.
The beach is so pretty. I witnessed the best sunset of my life here. It’s very clean and not too crowded. The water is also clean. I had a picnic here and it was totally worth it. Go in evening to get the best out of the beach. It is not too commercialised. If you had south you will get lots of bars and djs but in the north side it is very peaceful and silent. We just sat on the beach and watched the sun go down and submerge into the ocean. One of the best moments of my entire life. It’s a must visit if you are in Bali.
Iqbal K — Google review
Lovely beach walk with beautiful sculptures along the way. The water isn’t super clear, but there are plenty of nice spots to enjoy, plus restaurants and coffee shops around. It can get a bit busy, but you’ll still find quieter corners to relax.
Michelle P — Google review
Kuta Beach, Bali Kuta Beach is one of Bali’s most famous and vibrant coastal destinations, located on the island’s southwestern coast, just minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Known for its long stretch of golden sand and powerful surf, Kuta has evolved from a quiet fishing village into a lively hub of tourism, offering something for every kind of traveler. The beach is especially popular among surfers, beginners, and sun-seekers. Gentle to moderate waves make it an ideal spot for surf lessons, and several surf schools line the beachfront. Visitors can also enjoy beach walks, volleyball, or simply relax on the sand while watching a breathtaking Balinese sunset — one of the most beautiful in Indonesia. Kuta Beach is surrounded by a wide range of restaurants, beach bars, and cafes serving both local Indonesian delicacies and international cuisine. The area also offers vibrant nightlife, with numerous pubs, clubs, and live music venues that come alive after sunset. For those who love shopping, Beachwalk Shopping Center and the local art markets nearby offer everything from souvenirs and handmade crafts to designer brands. Despite its bustling atmosphere, Kuta retains its charm with friendly locals, street performers, and a laid-back tropical vibe. Lifeguards are stationed at key points, making it relatively safe for swimming, especially during calm tides. Kuta is also well-connected to nearby attractions such as Legian, Seminyak, and the sacred Uluwatu Temple. Whether you’re a surfer chasing waves, a traveler looking to experience Bali’s energy, or a family seeking fun by the sea, Kuta Beach offers a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and culture. Address: Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia Best time to visit: April to October (dry season) for sunny weather and ideal surf conditions.

Beautiful long beach, great for surfing. I like the long walking path or just the beach as you can take long walks here. Sadly, I see some working horses too - heartbreaking to see the poor treatments of animals. No excuse for animal abuse, when people can use motorbikes instead.
Simona M — Google review
It’s a lively and beautiful beach with soft sand and great sunset views. The area can get crowded, but the atmosphere is fun and full of energy. A good spot to relax, surf, or just watch the waves.
Lazizbek E — Google review
Kuta Beach is absolutely stunning! 🌊 The waves are perfect for surfing, and the atmosphere is lively with plenty of beach bars and restaurants nearby. I loved taking long walks along the shore and soaking up the sun. A must-visit spot in Bali! 🌴🏄‍♂️
Dav A — Google review
Love the natural beauty of this beach. There are several access points, opportunities for surfing is plentiful, and eateries located along the beach. Just be aware, most locations will charge you for using tables/chairs and there are differences in prices depending on who you ask and which beach you are in located. Many individuals will come accross your path trying to sell you something, and ask you if you need a ride somewhere. Just be prepared for the abundance of tourists and what comes along with all that.

Crashed in Bali. 2 days unplanned trip around Kuta Beach cos of J* delayed and I missed my plane to Busan on that day. Landed without planing in Bali and enjoying the day with so much worries, and vanished with it's venomous sunset view of Kuta Beach.

Sanur is a charming resort town on the east coast of Bali, known for its colorful fishing boats, galleries, restaurants, and an old temple. Once a fishing village, it has retained its local charm and friendliness while offering a beach resort atmosphere with hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars, shops, and entertainment venues. Despite not being technically in Denpasar, it's just a 15-minute drive away.
The beach is clean as it has cleaners, every day the pedestrian and sand beach are cleaned of trash along the shoreline. If you walk on the pedestrian, you may see some photographers who will take pictures of you. If you feel shy about being photographed, just ignore it. But if you want to see the result, you can see it in the Fotoyu application that you can download in Playstore. Anyway, this place is suitable for you who want to run, swim, cycle, or just enjoy the sunrise. Oh yes you can try eating food there, I recommend eating Ote-ote and Lumpia
Ahmad H — Google review
Good beaches in the islands of Bali areas. I like for walking beside beaches front and enjoying nature environments and local foods.
Chris C — Google review
Not the most attractive beach to be honest and very dirty in places. Plenty of resorts along the beach where you can go to the pools(for a fee). Plenty of food outlets across the whole spectrum of quality (😂) and a massive shopping mall along the boardwalk. Extremely tourist oriented and very busy.
Harry H — Google review
This beach is filled with tourists, yet the ambiance feels relaxed and calm. Biked with my son along the path. Shops, food stalls around, Icon Mall Bali is here as well. (End of July 2025)
Antonio C — Google review
Sanur Beach is hands down my favorite sunrise spot in Bali. The vibe here is so much more relaxed compared to the busier southern beaches. I love how the golden morning light hits the traditional jukung fishing boats lined up along the shore - it's absolutely magical. What makes it 5-star worthy: - The calm turquoise waters are perfect for swimming (no crazy waves here) - The 5km paved beach walk is ideal for morning jogs or bike rides - Local warungs serve amazing nasi campur right on the sand - Less crowded than Kuta/Seminyak but still has great amenities - Stunning sunrise views over Nusa Penida on clear days Don't miss: ✓ Breakfast at one of the beachfront cafes ✓ Renting a bike to explore the coastline ✓ The Sunday morning market when it's on Pro tips: 1. Arrive by 5:30am for prime sunrise viewing 2. Bring small cash for fresh coconut vendors 3. Water shoes help with some rocky sections Sanur proves you don't need wild parties to have an amazing beach experience. The peaceful atmosphere, gorgeous views, and local charm make it my top-rated beach in Bali. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone needing a tranquil escape!
Rizky R — Google review
I think this beach was alternative for those who didn't really like crowds It wasn't so crowd like kita There were many cafes for drinking coffe or eating snacks Not so far from that, there is a mosque there If you stay at Prime Hotel, this beach is the nearest
Luthfil L — Google review
You can enter just by paying a parking fee of 3,000 IDR. It's a favorite spot for jogging and cycling along the beach. There are also many cafes here with a wide selection of food. This is one of the best spots for sunrise.

Seminyak Beach is a popular spot with wide sandy shores, offering loungers and umbrellas for relaxation. It's known for activities like horseback riding and vibrant nightlife with bars. The area also features The Goat, a lively pub on Jalan Kayu Aya where sports enthusiasts can enjoy games on 19 screens with surround sound.
A must visit for every Bali vacation. Just have a seat and a coconut and relax for a few hours. Amazing scenery in front and great clubs nearby with wounderful vibes. It is very crowded, but that's part of the charm
Ahmed K — Google review
Nice beach. Clean. Very busy. To enjoy mostly in the evening. Sunset view is great. Beach cafes arrange live music by local bands. That can be enjoyed with food and drinks. One can also enjoy same sitting on beach also. Food costs are moderate and average.
The S — Google review
Beautiful beach with a pathway a few kilometres long with lots and lots of places to stop for food or a drink. Also toilets along the way. The are hundreds of comfortable chairs to sit on on the beach but you must pay. I also found a place that done a really nice massage on the beach.
Leeroy G — Google review
It's a long sandy beach with waves and beautiful sunset in some days but it will be nicer if it has more coconut trees than trash and dog poo. Public toilet very dirty and not free.
Moon B — Google review
Easy access to the beaches, the water is so warm, and there are SEVERAL eateries, stands, and bars where someone could grab a beverage. So much opportunity for walking, surfing, (IN SOME PLACES SWIMMING), and getting a tan. I will say the beach can get pretty messy, there are HOARDES of tourists, and people will ask you to buy stuff all the time. People will also continuously ask if you need a ride, honking is very common here.
Andrea A — Google review
Beautiful place to enjoy the wave, sunset or just chill along the beach. Walking around here with good atmosphere is something new experience. The place not too crowded like the other beach in bali. So you can visit this place at least once.
David P — Google review
I really like this beach .. it’s a large & wide beach excellent for long walk, the Ocean is fun with waves . But have to be careful where you go . The most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen .
Vista B — Google review
Seminyak Beach, located on the west coast of Bali, is one of the island’s most famous and stylish coastal destinations. Known for its long stretch of golden sand and sophisticated atmosphere, Seminyak offers a perfect balance between relaxation, leisure, and vibrant nightlife. Unlike some of the busier beaches in Bali, Seminyak manages to maintain an upscale and laid-back vibe that attracts both international tourists and locals seeking a refined beach experience. One of the highlights of Seminyak Beach is its stunning sunset view. Every evening, visitors gather along the shoreline to witness the sky transform into shades of orange, pink, and purple. The beach is also lined with chic beach clubs, trendy bars, and luxury resorts, making it an ideal place for those who enjoy a lively social scene. Famous venues such as Ku De Ta and Potato Head Beach Club have become iconic landmarks, offering great cocktails, music, and oceanfront views. For daytime activities, Seminyak Beach is popular among surfers, especially beginners and intermediate levels, thanks to its consistent waves. Sunbathing, swimming, and beach walks are equally enjoyable here. The sand is soft, the water is refreshing, and the atmosphere feels more relaxed compared to nearby Kuta. In addition, the surrounding area of Seminyak is home to high-end boutiques, art galleries, and world-class dining options, making it a complete lifestyle destination. Overall, Seminyak Beach is more than just a place to relax by the ocean—it represents Bali’s chic and modern side while still preserving its natural charm. Whether you are looking for a romantic escape, a stylish hangout with friends, or simply a peaceful beach day, Seminyak offers a memorable experience that captures the essence of Bali’s coastal beauty.

Legian Beach is a wide sandy stretch located between the bustling Kuta and upscale Seminyak. It's known for its stunning sunset views and surfable waves, making it a popular spot for both relaxation and water sports. The area around the beach is filled with shops, cafes, bars, and hotels, but has a more laid-back atmosphere compared to Kuta. While similar to its neighboring beaches, Legian offers a quieter experience with less crowds.
Beautiful all day everyday but the sunsets are amazing, yes there's hawkers but treat them with respect and say no. Imagine walking the beach all day in the heat to make money to support your family. Lots of beach bars and cold drinks.
Karin R — Google review
A nice beach where you can find somewhere to sit and watch the sun go down with coconut water. There's plenty of surfing going on.
Daian M — Google review
Legian Beach, Bali: A Review Legian Beach offers a compelling mix of the buzz of Kuta and the upscale vibe of Seminyak, making it a favorite for many travelers, particularly families and budget-conscious adventurers. Atmosphere and Location: The beach is known for its golden/blackish sands, lively yet relatively relaxed atmosphere, and spectacular sunsets. It sits conveniently between the bustling Kuta and the more sophisticated Seminyak. While popular, it is generally less chaotic and crowded than Kuta Beach. The area directly fronting the beach is often a pedestrian-only zone, providing a pleasant walking and jogging path. The surrounding neighborhood is packed with hotels, cafes, restaurants, bars, and shopping areas, including the famous Garlic Lane, offering an easy mix of sun, surf, and local commercial activity. Activities and Highlights: Surfing: Legian is a hotspot, especially noted for its friendly, consistent waves that are perfect for beginner and intermediate surfers. Surf schools and board rentals are readily available along the beach. Sunsets and Relaxation:The beach is one of the best spots in Bali to watch the dramatic sunset over the Indian Ocean. Visitors often rent sun loungers or settle in at one of the beachfront cafes and bars (like Double Six Beach, a part of Legian) with a cold drink to enjoy the evening show. Beach Life: You can find vendors selling everything from cold drinks and snacks to knick-knacks and massages. Afternoon activities often include beach volleyball and football. Accessibility: Legian's prime location means it's about a 30-minute drive from the airport (outside peak traffic) and provides easy access to nearby attractions like Waterbom Bali. Accommodation: The Legian area offers value-packed accommodation, from mid-market hotels to luxury beachfront resorts like Legian Beach Hotel and Padma Resort Legian. Many of the resorts feature lush, well-kept gardens, multiple swimming pools (often including an adult-only and a family pool), and beachfront bars, making them very appealing for families and couples alike. In summary, Legian Beach strikes an ideal balance between fun, convenience, and a slightly calmer environment than its neighbor to the south, making it an excellent choice for a well-rounded Bali holiday.
Samir S — Google review
Tourist place, not many people are swimming here compare to Kuta beach. It's easy to find shops which selling clothes, souvenirs , etc. There are many hotels, restaurants and pubs, minimarkets with different prices, from the cheap ones to the most expensive ones.

Sindu Beach is such a nice spot to chill! It’s super close to Icon Mall, and the vibe in the afternoon is calm and breezy. You can grab some affordable snacks or drinks from local vendors, and even rent a bike to ride along the beach. The car parking area is very limited.

This is one of the beaches that make up the near 5km long Sanur Beach and waterfront area. It is located near the Northeast end features a variety of eateries, beach market and sea turtle conservation centre. There are places with lounge chairs and what appears to be good swimming conditions. The main promenade passes by making for easy access to other beaches to the south and west that also make up the entire Sanur Beach.

Amazing beach with a swimming pool and turtle conservation 🐢 The beach is good, I came at day and night At day you can see a sunrise At night you can see a lot of star and even a star constellation However the foods are crazy expensive like a balinese rice for 160k and salad for 90k, but some of them have a pretty normal price like a burger for 15k or ice cream for 7k Overall 7.8/10 👍

Been there 3 times now, and I cannot but advise you, if you have the opportunity to visit Sanur, there is no place else to be. Nusa Dua Beach is a serene stretch of white sand lined with upscale hotels and resorts, making it an ideal destination for families. This area in Bali is renowned for its water sports and activities like diving, snorkeling, and parasailing. While it may be far from the main areas of Bali, the beach offers calm waters near the shore due to coral reefs that break the waves. Nusa Dua Beach is a relaxing and still natural spot, perfect for unwinding. It’s quiet, clean, and has a wide stretch of sand, making it feel spacious and safe for visitors. Nusa Dua Beach is absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. The water is calm and inviting, and the beach itself is clean and well kept. What really made it special for us were the sunrises. Waking up early and walking down to the gazebos to watch the sky change colors was unforgettable. It is the kind of place that feels peaceful and safe, where you can truly relax and take in the beauty around you. The little lookout spots with gazebos added such a unique charm and made it easy to just sit back and appreciate the views.

Jimbaran Beach is one of Bali's top beaches, featuring a 4km stretch of clean white sand and a bustling atmosphere. The bay is protected by a coral reef, making it ideal for swimming and offering mellow surf breaks for bodysurfing. At sunset, the beach transforms as seafood restaurants set up tables on the sand, providing an opportunity to enjoy barbecued fish while watching planes land at Ngurah Rai International Airport.
A beautiful, wide, sandy beach with a very gentle slope into the water, it's a perfect place to relax or take your first surfing lessons. In the evening, the beach transforms into a restaurants, which is also worth experiencing.

Jimbaran Bay Beach is way way way better than Kuta Beach — with clean, golden sand, calm seas, and gentle waves. It offers the perfect setting for a slow, relaxed sunset away from the crowds. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views make it an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking a tranquil evening by the ocean.
Nikhil J — Google review
The sunset was absolutely gorgeous, but getting there was a bit of a hassle with heavy traffic beforehand. Once on the beach, it was pretty packed with people, which made it a little hard to find a quiet spot and enjoy the view peacefully

Love this place. Magical sunsets across the beach and ocean. There are some hawkers but nowhere near as bad as Kuta. There’s a variety of restaurants right on the beach with amazing seafood at great prices. I highly recommend spending an afternoon here. The water is much calmer too so you can paddle your feet safely, unlike the surf beaches to the north. Mozzies and sandflies were not bad either. Quite often see fireworks along the strip too which is an added bonus

Fabulous place for sunsets. Water is calm and it’s a great place for a walk. On beach dining available, but gets very busy in the evenings. A bit of trash littering the sand / water, but not enough to spoil the experience. Recommended!

One of the best sunset beaches on the west coast of Bali - sipping on delicious chilled coconut water watching the sun go down! Lots of amazing food joints to pick from!
Sakina E — Google review
Atmosphere Beautiful beach to walk around. Plenty of space around area. Outdoor seating areas looking at the ocean. Food Depending which restaurant you choose. We chose Ganesh which was recommended to us by the locals. The food was pretty good, don’t forget to ask for the package menu if you go with a group, instead of ordering individually. Drinks wise I recommend to have coconut water since the alcohol drinks hardly had any alcohol. Service Very friendly service was provided. Overall Jumbaran used to be one of the best places for seafood but with time the quality has dropped regards to food and surrounding. But still it’s a good place to chill.
Dhishan P — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in Bali, especially famous for its sunset view. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, with long stretches of golden sand perfect for walking. The main highlight here is the seafood dining experience right by the beach—grilled fish, prawns, and calamari served while you watch the sun go down. It’s romantic, perfect for couples, but also great for family gatherings. The vibe is lively in the evening but still feels safe and comfortable. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Bali.

Tuban Beach is a picturesque yellow sandy beach located near the airport south of Kuta, Bali. It is known for its local outrigger fishing boats, resorts, and restaurants. The beach breaks here are suitable for beginners to learn surfing as they are protected by outer reefs called airport lefts and airport rights. This makes it an ideal place to practice paddling and balance on a surfboard in a quieter environment than Kuta.
A beautiful beach next to airport runway. When I was there the first time, there was no one around which was great. The second time there were two people with their motorbikes which was a bit annoying, hopefully these kind of people don't ruin the place. The sandy beach is beautiful, with the arrangement of concrete shore retainment that makes the photo look unique. We can see the runway from here or just hang around and enjoy daydreaming about the plane coming and going with their own stories about the places they go or come from.

I spent 2 nights in Sanur recently 5/10/25, this place was across the road from our accommodation at Sea View Hotel, l had no idea what it was when paying to cross the wooden bridge for a AU $1.50. It was an interesting walk along a well maintained path through the trees, on the right was the river with loads of mangroves, there were playgrounds for the kids and there was a nice restaurant/Cafe where l had a lovely Mocktail, walking further along we came across some huts and then found 2 Camels and 2 horses tied up on the beach for the tourists to ride, l was surprised that the 2 horses were both stallions! I have had horses most of my life and these animals looked in good condition, a good weight and shiny coats, unlike one review on here that showed pics of very poor and skinny horses and one with a huge tumour on its neck, it looks like they have picked up their act with caring for them. The big disappointment was the amount of garbage on the beach, it was the worst ive ever seen in Bali, perhaps from the recent floods?

Pantai Segara Ayu is a small and charming beach with white sand and numerous outriggers anchored just off the coast. While it can get crowded, especially compared to other parts of Sanur, it's a favorite spot for many due to its constant beauty. Visitors often come in the morning to catch the sunrise or later in the day for a relaxing time by the beach. The area offers various dining options, but parking can be challenging due to limited space on the one-way street.
Best place for jogging, enjoying sunrise, and biking. The beach is clean. Around 5-6pm, if you are lucky, you can see a wonderful view, mountain + beach

A wonderful experience! On one side, there’s a lively and scenic walking, cycling, and jogging path along Bali’s east coast—lined with everything from affordable eats to high-end restaurants and attractions. On the other side, a calm beach stretches out with views of what I believe are Mount Agung and Nusa Penida in the distance. You can rent a bike, go for a jog, enjoy upbeat beachside music, or simply unwind at one of the quieter spots. Absolutely loved this side of Bali!
Fuda F — Google review
Such a beautiful spot! I love riding my bike along the beach here it’s super chill and the views are amazing. You can rent a bike easily and it’s really affordable. I sometimes come at night too, and it feels calm and magical in a different way. The only downside is that it can get a bit crowded, especially during the day, so riding through can be a little tricky sometimes. But overall, totally worth it!

It was such a lovely beach where a lot of native people go swim or just soak themselves in the water. the wave is not so big on the shore so it's okay. I heard the sunrise is so great here but unfortunately it was cloudy when I went to see it. you can enjoy the lumpia (a lot of fried things from tempe, tofu, and spring rolls with sweet sauce) on the beach because a lot of women sell it there, the price is only 10K IDR. I asked one of the seller and she said she'd go to the beach around 2PM-10PM. there were a lot of food stalls in the area as well. and there was a concrete long path where you can do jogging or a walk (a lot of locals did this too), and you can also rent a bike here.

Today I saw this beach in different way. I discovered this beach different than before. The beach is beautiful with white sand and gently sea breeze. The surrounding is busy with resort and tourist activities yet locals are still welcome to come and sit on the beach and just pay parking ticket for IDR 2000,-. There are some options for food and drink: restaurants or local stalls. The area is very nice for biking. You can rent it from the hotels or local vendors.

Great beach to take your friends and family. Many food stands to buy snacks and soft drink. You can rent a bicycle here for IDR 15.000 and ride it along the beach. From this beach, you could also see the great mountain of Gunung Agung. The ticket to enter this beach is only IDR 2.000 for a motorbike and IDR 5.000 for car. It's totally free if you enter the beach by walking.

Biaung Beach, located in Kertalangu village, offers a unique experience with its black sand and relatively flat coastline. The prevailing wind from the east during June and July brings with it a significant amount of trash both on the beach and in the water. Despite this, the beach provides a pleasant setting for activities such as surf fishing or even cycling along the paved walking path that runs parallel to the shore.

Sunrise Beach is a popular spot for witnessing breathtaking sunrise views. It's situated near a bustling road with various stalls offering diverse items. While it can get crowded, especially on weekends when teenagers gather and loud music fills the air, visiting during weekdays ensures a more peaceful experience. The beach offers more than just sunrise views; spending time here at noon is also recommended for relaxation, enjoying the sound of waves, walking, cycling, or people-watching.
Got to this place very very early as my hotel was based in Seminyak and I was worried about jams, but was oddly surprised that I arrived about 2-hours earlier to my booked boat ride and decided to roam nearby to enjoy the sunrise. Reaching around 530am indeed has its perks as there were practically not many people around and there are seats around this stretch of walkway that you can just sit to enjoy the sunrise. Overall, the sunrise here especially in Bali is mostly a surprise that keeps giving and I was in awe of the beauty that the sunrise brought and it was just majestically beautiful as I eventually almost forgot about time and was almost late to pick up my boat ride tickets. This is definitely a must-visit place, especially if you happen to arrive much earlier, do spend some time here to enjoy the glorious sunrise!

Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa is a luxurious hotel in Bali, Indonesia that offers modern rooms and suites. The resort provides a beach club, rooftop bar, and spa for guests to enjoy. It is an ideal destination for families looking to immerse themselves in the magical Balinese culture. The resort is designed like an authentic Balinese Village, allowing guests to connect with the gentle nature and energy of Bali.
Absolutely loved our stay at Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa! The location is perfect — just steps away from the beach with stunning sunset views. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a touch of Balinese charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful, making us feel right at home. The rooftop bar and restaurant offered delicious food and cocktails with amazing ocean views. The pool area was relaxing and never overcrowded. We also enjoyed a wonderful spa treatment that was both professional and soothing. Everything about this resort was peaceful and well thought out. A true hidden gem in Jimbaran — highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in Bali!

I stayed at the Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort & Spa and had a comfortable experience. The room was well-appointed, with a modern and clean design. One of the standout features was the semi-outdoor bathtub on the balcony, which offered a unique and relaxing experience, blending the indoor comfort with an outdoor ambiance. The bed was spacious and cozy, and the bathroom had a sleek, minimalist feel with a walk-in shower that added a touch of luxury. The location was also a plus, being close to the beach, allowing easy access for a sunset stroll. It’s also very near the seafood restaurants, making it super easy to enjoy fresh seafood. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that my stay was pleasant. The overall ambiance of the resort was calm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing getaway in Bali.

The bathroom had a very unpleasant smell and the breakfast was clearly focused on quantity rather than quality. Around the pool there are green edges everywhere, and overall the hotel is more show. The lobby looks beautiful and gives the impression of a luxurious place, but if you take a closer look, everything is quite run-down and just superficial appearance. The rooftop bar is nice, but also very expensive. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel.
Malin H — Google review
The good points about this hotel are 1. Close to the airport, it was located in the local part of Jimbaran beach. 2. Excellent spa services. Their massage therapists were even better than some in 5 star hotels. 3. The receptionists are nice and helpful. What I don't like about this hotel: 1. The clenliness of the room was inconsistent. First night upon my check-in, the room floor was sticky. On the day of my checkout, the housekeeper cleaned my room even before my checkout, and it was super clean. 2. Breakfast: I didn't eat much, as I had my spa appintment early. I only had Hainan rice, Hainan chicken and a bit of local sambal. The rice and chicken were tasteless. The sambal was adjusted to the foreign guests.
Kansala W — Google review
Old hotel with good location in the heart of Jimbaran. Despite great service and strategic location, the hotel provides you with an old-fashioned room with rats on the ceiling. I was living on the 1st floor, and the sound of running rats made me wake up in the middle of the night. Overall room was okay except not working light switch. The shower sink was smelling bad from time to time. Breakfast variety is big and the quality of food is okay. The front desk service is very good, but the restaurant manager called my room phone every day at 8:30 to remind me about the breakfast. Right in the front of the hotel you can enjoy the view of Jimbaran beach with free loungers and towels. Sadly, I can not imagine how they gonna fix the rat situation.

The Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort is a slightly older establishment, but its amazing location and excellent staff and services more than make up for a slightly dated room setup. Located just south of the airport, the Resort has direct access to Jimbaran Beach (and amazing sunsets), making it perfect for a quiet retreat. The staff are professional and well trained, assisting occupants and clients with the poise that only a seasoned, mature hotelier can provide. The spa in particular is superb, a simply marvellous experience. All in all, the Resort is a good option for individuals or couples looking for a quiet retreat. Edit: I want to commend the staff for helping me locate an item I lost while checking out. Their speedy assistance gave me great relief. Thank you, everyone at Jimbaran Bay Beach Resort!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and was greeted from the taxi by very helpful staff. The hotel itself is really nice, with the pool, pool bar etc. The only downside is the room we had felt a bit "tired" and needed a bit of a refresh/touch up. The breakfast options were also a bit limiting if you're not used to Indonesian/Bali food (This was our first night in Bali) and can be a bit daunting. We had an okay stay here, and would recommend it if you're just after a stop off close to the airport. We also had an issue with scams coming from the hotel via Whatsapp and also through Booking.com requesting payments which the hotel quickly said were not from them and we didn't pay anything (Thankfully) They might need to look at their security / staff as we didn't have this issue with other hotels on our stay.

The watersports were a great time. Everything was organized smoothly, the beach was clean, and the equipment appeared well-maintained. The watersport staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure we understood each activity before starting. Safety was clearly a priority, and the energy from the team running the activities made it fun from start to finish. The only downside was the front entrance staff. They were noticeably disengaged and unwelcoming, with one even rolling their eyes as we arrived. It set an awkward tone at first but thankfully didn’t reflect the rest of the experience. Overall, the water activities were well worth it and I would recommend this spot to others looking for a fun and safe beach day.

I was just disappointed because we paid 750IDR for parasailing and the guide told us 6min up on air but I felt it was only 3mins or less.. it was too short 😅 I also recommend that you bring your phone and give it to the guide when you're in the boat so you may have your photos and videos as you go up the air. I had no pics and vids, really, good thing I brought my insta 360cam. You may also take photos with the boats as background and/or the entire resort.

Hindu temple
Sakenan Temple, also known as Pura Sakenan, is a serene and significant pilgrimage site dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located on Serangan Island in South Bali, this temple complex consists of thatched-roof shrines made from coral stones, showcasing traditional Balinese architecture. In the past, Hindu pilgrims would journey to the island by wading through water or hiring wooden boats during low tide due to its isolated location.
Such a beautiful and wide temple located on the coastline. You just have to pay 5k/car to get here. When I went here the temple was very crowded (it was Kuningan day) but the prayer went very smoothly. When I enter the area I can see a lot of local people selling street food, local food, kid toys, and even colorful chicks :D (they usually not selling along the streets, I think they do this only on a special day) The air around the temple is also very cool. This temple is located in Serangan, besides praying people who come here also want to enjoy the seafood and its beautiful scenery. The seafood is fresh, delicious, and considered cheap.

This is the oldest Pure/ Temple in Serangan built back from 1000BC from first fishermen landing on shore nearby. This temple prays to Shiva & Buddha (double religion) and considered as the male/ ‘yang’ side. The female temple is another side: Pure Susunan Wedon. There is a beautiful old Kepah tree witjin the temple yard that has a hole/ like mini cave. The temple ground is clean and well maintained. Please aware do’s & dont’s while visiting here. Wear a Balinese cloth to get inside.

The older lady that is selling at the entrance, is so mean. We are just trying to take a look from afar, she came and started to talk to us and telling us that we need to rent a sarong to cover us before going inside. We don't have any intention of going inside, so we said no. And then, she became mad and told us we are not allowed to look even from where we are standing, she started to say some bad words and just so she will stop, we just left.

A sacred Hindu temple with long history and beautiful view, but undergoing construction now on October to November, so a bit inconvenient for prayers.

Beautiful medidative and peaceful temple. I was especially moved by the friendliness of the temple guide who showed me step for step how to perfrom the ritual with patience and kindness. Lovely temple where the teachings are lived and passed on even to visitors and tourists. All the best!
Francesca M — Google review
I would not recommend this temple as it was very old and not properly kept . There was no entrance fee , but had to rent a sorong to go into the temple. Nothing to pray to except empty space. Looks abandoned. I was very disappointed after reading all of the reviews recommended and a 1 hour drive there. Not worth the trip. excep .

Stunning Balinese dance performance. The dancers’ movements and use of facial expressions throughout really brought the performance to life. Great entertainment.
Kevin S — Google review
This is one of the most sacred and important temple for Balinese, every year this temple host a big ceremony for couple of days, and Balinese from all over Bali will come here with offerings and pray. The architecture of this temple is unique and beautiful, maybe even historical, tourists are very welcomed here to take some photographs

This is a lovely beach along the nearly 5km stretch of Sanur Beaches. It is situated on the the southern side in between Mertasari Beach and Semawong Beach. There are nice hotels and eateries in the area. The promenade that passes through has tall trees and good shade. You'll find areas with lounge chairs, good sand and swimming conditions. It is a nice beach to visit and is easily connected to sister beaches to the east and northeast because of the promenade which you can walk or cycle. We really enjoyed this particular little beach in Sanur.
Brad — Google review
It is beautiful place, a lot of free running dogs and if you afraid of them it may be a problem in sunrise time

Nice place to swim and have lunch at the Warung area...past the resort...had fresh pepes ikan with sambal... very good... best to swim at high tide 🌊
Kim S — Google review
If you are looking for white sand romantic views and coasy chairs, you are in the wrong place. A lot of little restaurants along the coast or hotels
Frank T — Google review
Nice beach, wide and not too crowded
Manu H — Google review
We came to the beach during low tide and were dissapointed. Bad smell of sea grass didn’t help either. Lots of shade and places to eat at favorable prices though, but that’s not what we came for.
Uros O — Google review
Excellent beach, safe for kids, clean and the water is mostly beautiful. The only BIG issue are all the electric bikes zooming up the only footpath. Beeping at you with all their righteousness.. There are a few beaches along this strip that all merge into one, but if you start down by the Mercure hotel, Metasari Beach and walk all the way up to Sindhu it's about 6ks and a great walk.

Beautiful and quiet place to visit and relax ☺️ There were a lot of dog poop on the grass though 😅

Wide open beach with black sand. Walk path across the top travels for a long way , good for cycling or running. Swimming with caution , tides and currents look deceiving and could cause injury. Taman festival park overlooks this area.
Trevor S — Google review
A nice black sand beach near Sanur area, very different as the other beaches in Sanur area have white sand. They occasionally hold a kite festival here. It is really recommended to go here when there is one to see the beautiful kites the locals made in the sky.

It is worth the walk along the beachfront path from Sanur fast boat harbour at this time of year to watch the young guys getting their kites flying.
