Balinese restaurant
Asri Dining by Samanvaya offers a stunning dining experience with breathtaking views of rice fields and the ocean, along with unique decor like an old Javanese bridge turned into a dining table. The restaurant serves a wide variety of cocktails and a sharing menu featuring local and western delicacies. It is known for its diverse culinary options, including local, international, Thai, and healthy dishes. Guests can also enjoy a wine bar in a serene natural setting.
The ambiance here is top notch! So nice and the staff is great. The food was very generous portions and flavorful. If you’re really hungry, try the lamb shank - it was the biggest portion and so tasty. The lychee glow fizz was so good and refreshing.
Natalie C — Google review
The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. They really did a great job on the decoration. The view on the rice field is also nice. The staff is very friendly, but I did not like how often they interrupted our dinner to ask if everything was okay. Nevertheless, they tried their best. We had to wait a while for the food to come, while the restaurant was not so busy. The food was good and has rich taste. Keep in mind that this restaurant is significantly more expensive than your other restaurants in Sidemen.
GH — Google review
I was expecting much more from Asri cuisine. The location is beautiful, staff very kind (as per the entire Samanvaya hotel), and even the presentation is great BUT there is NO AUTHENTIC FLAVOUR in the food. All plates ordered were standard which breaks my heart being in the Balinese cuisine. I am very sorry but you need to correct that. I was forced to leave the hotel and find better restaurants to eat to have lunch and dinner, which we had easily on the same street… I hope you can take this critic to improve and not on the negative side. The rest is great.
Orlando S — Google review
I first dined at Asri Dining by Samanvaya in 2023 and I was so happy to find that the quality of food + service has remained exceptional and consistent ever since. The setting has lush gardens and rice-field views, it's perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, even if you’re not staying at the hotel. Favourite dishes: the Hot Coal Grill (chargrilled chicken skewers served sizzling over hot coals with rich peanut satay sauce) and the Corn Ribs with Smoky Paprika Butter. We left feeling very full and very happy - such a standout experience in Sidemen. Highly recommend.
Elisha B — Google review
We had an amazing dinner here! The food was delicious, the atmosphere is intimate and cozy, and all of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I mentioned it was my partner’s birthday and they surprised her with a candle and singing happy birthday to her, it was a beautiful moment! I definitely recommend visiting Asri Dining
Irene G — Google review
Popped in for an early dinner, during cocktail hour! Fabulous is how I would describe it. Atmosphere - calm, serene, cool vibe. Extremely clean, well laid out with different seating options, inside or outside, on a terrace overlooking rice paddies, lots of options. Love it has no children after 5pm (I think is the time) so you enjoy your delicious cocktail without small people running around. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Our food was truly wonderful, we had the whipped feta / bread to start (highly recommend this) then a pizza each, the food was some of the best we have had in Sidemen (okay it was the best!).

Best restaurant in the area, I would even say best restaurant I’ve tried so far in Bali! I highly suggest this place. The staff was very friendly, the vibe was really nice and the food was delicious. I loved the ramen and the chocolate custard cake!

We had a lovely dinner at Asri Dining. The food was good, cocktails were enjoyable, and the whole place just felt calm and cozy. The decor gave it a homie feel — simple but warm. Everything came together to make the whole experience feel warm and comfortable. Would definitely come back !

If you're seeking a dining experience with stunning sunset views, look no further than Sleeping Gajah Kitchen & Lounge in Sidemen Bali. The restaurant offers enchanting surroundings and top-notch service. Guests rave about the flavorful dishes like duck rubbed with West Sumatran spices and ayam goreng (fried chicken), both executed to perfection. The staff is described as super friendly and helpful, making every meal a delightful experience.
While on our honeymoon, we found this amazing restaurant in Sideman. The views were simply fantastic. Indah was the most amazing server, so kind and attentive. We even got to see a traditional dance. My wife enjoyed the salmon burger said it was tasty and juicy! I had a noodle dish with chicken, that came with a shrimp, chicken satay, and papaya salad, I requested dried chili flakes which they had and it really made the dish, delicious! I could easily come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We did not have reservations but they were able to serve us, I do recommend reservations to ensure a table.

Beautiful food in a beautiful location served by wonderful people. We just had dinner here and it was a truly memorable evening. We arrived unannounced with our young daughter and we're facilitated with the all day menu at the relatively early time for dinner of 5PM. Everything we had was truly enjoyable and the service was second to none. It's probably on the steeper side for Bali zoo but the combination of the food and the ambience made us feel that it was excellent value.
Aaron J — Google review
The food here was 4.5 stars out of 5. It was flavoursome and presented well! The views were excellent! Overlooks the Sidemen rice terrace fields and the sleeping elephant shaped hill. It rained after we arrived but still looked beautiful! The standout at this restaurant was the amazing Julia, who waited on us. She is probably the most amazing wait staff we've encountered in Bali! She was friendly, attentive, made polite conversation and even surprised us with a free dessert for our upcoming anniversary! Thank you Julia for making our dinner so memorable!
Fawwaz S — Google review
Beautiful restaurant. Lovely atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. The view was so pretty. Food was delicious, but because I was there for breakfast, did not have the full menu available. I was kind of disappointed by that because I was hoping to try some of their specific items. However, that was my fault for visiting so early, but that was my only options as I was on my way out of Sidemen. Looks like a beautiful place and I would consider staying here next time as well.
Jolynda L — Google review
I feel beyond grateful to have experienced such a beautiful, comfortable, fulfilling restaurant experience. Writa, Santa, and Julia made me very happy and feel so loved. If I could I would spend every meal here 😊 -Maya

A lovely restaurant overlooking the paddy fields. The view is scenic. The signage is rather obscure. It is located in Wapa de Ume Hotel. Once your car is parked, there's a buggy service to take you to the eatery. One may choose to walk as well. The peanuts chips with the Balinese sambal is simply addictive! The Kalio Nangka was braised young jackfruit topped with spinach. It was well seasoned & tasted great. Tebola yellow curry with rice was also hearty & good. Will certainly revisit to try others. Staff are warm & friendly.

Wow what a place for sunset, drinks and food! I arrived at sunset and saw the beautiful pink rosy orange colours over the valley. I was travelling by myself but felt really welcomed by the head of guest relations Sonia , the waiter and other staff. They had a delicious range of cocktails for happy hour 2 for 1 deal. I had two arak cocktails. The waiter recommended the crispy duck and it was perfection. Crunchy on the outside, soft and aromatic on the inside with delicious fragrant sambal. Special shout out to Sonia the head of guest relations, she made me feel so welcome and is just a lovely warm , genuine person and local to Sidemen. We chatted for a long time about local life, culture, Family, movies , future dream, being a working mum. I could have chatted with her for hours! Highly recommend going here for sunset happy hour drinks and dinner either with family , friends or even by yourself. The staff are amazing and warm. Oh they also had Balinese dancers, musicians for entertainment too,

We had a truly wonderful dinner — the food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were spot on, and the service was warm and friendly throughout. On top of that, the views made the whole experience unforgettable. Thank you for a beautiful evening! We highly recommend!

Nestled along the stunning coastline, Lezat Beach Restaurant is a delightful dining destination that perfectly captures the essence of Bali. With its open-air design, guests can savor their meals while enjoying breathtaking views of the ocean and the distant Nusa Penida islands. This charming eatery is an extension of Ashyana Candidasa Beach Resort and offers a diverse menu featuring both local Indonesian flavors and international cuisine, ensuring there's something for everyone—including plenty of vegetarian options.
Excellent restaurant! Great food, staff, service, and sea views. We had mahi-mahi, prawn, and squid dishes. Along with a papaya salad, cold Prost beers, and yummy dessert. Highly recommended!
Christopher D — Google review
Le-Zat Restaurant, Candidasa: While our time in the area was limited, this beachfront spot proved to be a convenient and satisfying choice. We ordered the seafood grill, which was a mixed bag. The calamari was a bit chewy, the prawns were decent, but the mahi mahi fish was excellent—fresh and cooked to perfection. The tom yum soup was another standout, delivering a comforting balance of spice and flavor. The raw papaya and tomato salad was a highlight, fresh, tangy, and absolutely delightful. For the kids, we opted for a sandwich and fries, which were simple but enjoyable. The spaghetti pasta with Parmesan cheese was also well-prepared and flavorful, making it a hit at the table. For those willing to venture a bit further (about 100–200 meters from Le-Zat), there are plenty of other dining options worth considering.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Amed. The food was so delicious, I had the balinese meal with a bit of everything, it was all amazing, hubby had the seafood curry which was also really good. It wasn’t busy when we were there (late afternoon) staff were really attentive and the views were stunning. Very reasonably priced 😊 lots of easy parking.

Nice place, with tables looking out over the water. You can buy and eat fresh lobster (of your choice) which we did. Lobsters small, but tasty. We had a variety of dishes, all pretty good. Drinks were good. Service was very friendly and good too. And they also had some local dancing too, which was good to see.
Nathan H — Google review
Beautiful location by the ocean. It was fairly busy when we were there but our order was taken and food delivered quite quickly. All the dishes we had were tasty, and the juices too. Prices were possible a bit high (we paid 500k for lunch for two people).

Greta good! We had 5 Balinese dishes and all were super tasty! Staff very polite and view is stunning! You can swim in clean waters whilst waiting for food. Definitely recommend! Also, they are pet friendly)
T. H — Google review
The food was delicious, but the service was just okay. I wanted to try their live lobster, but one of the staff told me it was very expensive — it felt like he thought I couldn’t afford it 😅. Luckily, the lady who took care of us during lunch was very friendly and nice. The atmosphere was quite noisy because there’s a government pedestrian project right in front of the restaurant.
Diah K — Google review
Great service. Cash only. The whole resort is cash only when we visited. Food was very average. When I read the reviews I thought we were in for the best tasting food in Bali. Sadly it was tasteless and over priced. Coffee average to poor. The views are amazing. You will feast on the sunset but your taste buds will go hungry for satisfaction. Avoid better options in town!

LaRouge Restaurant, located in Candidasa, Bali, is a popular choice among locals for its diverse menu featuring Asian, Indonesian, and Western cuisine. Visitors have raved about the delicious Mahi-Mahi special served with basil pesto and garlic roasted vegetables, as well as the perfectly cooked chicken cordon bleu. The Chicken Sate starter and complimentary garlic bread also received high praise.
Very nice chicken curry, asked spicy and it was. Garlic naan also nice. Didn't expect this in Candidasa. Very fast service and friendly staff.

We have walked past on two previous occasions. Thankfully, this time, we stopped for dinner..... From the moment we stopped to view the street menu, we were greeted warmly by Agus (who was our server). We arrived a little later in the evening, which was no problem to the staff. While we browsed the extensive menu, we were presented with complimentary hot bread rolls with garlic butter, very nice indeed..... We decided on Mutton Samosa's to share as a starter (with the most beautiful mint accompliment) followed by mains of Chicken Cordon Bluè and Grilled Mahi Mahi, both served with a selection of vegetables and the silkiest mash potato ever. We weren't going for dessert, but the Housemade Cinnamon Ice Cream was too tempting, naughty, but very nice. To Agus and the front girls (sorry, I dont know your names), Chef Ketut, and his girls in the kitchen....a HUGE thank you for an outstanding and very enjoyable memorable evening. We will be back, Makasih.........
Chris K — Google review
It was a quiet almost empty, if quite a pretty place. One of the servers kept walking around and freely coughing. My starter of pappadums was okay, if a little stale. The fried chicken masala was lovely but the garlic nan bread was flat like tortilla bread, and it was chewy. I told the man and he gave me a portion of white rice instead which was actually good and hot (makes a change in Bali). They do sell Heineken for the same as a bottle of Bintang ($4++) which is good. I might go back ...
Steve's — Google review
Place was dirty, toilets were disgusting. My snapper was overpriced at 24 Australian dollars, never order fish priced per 100grams. I got rice instead of the chips I ordered, i received the chips but then they charged me extra for them. All in all a bad experience with my wife and I ending up paying over A$50 for the experience and she only had soup. The reviews must be fake, there’s no way they are having such a vastly different experience. Do you self a favour and keep on walking by

Coldest beer in Bali!!! Our waiter, Wir, was wonderful & the chef, Ketut, was exceptional 10/10. The best curry we have ever had and we've had a few in Australia. An absolute must to visit
Jacqueline C — Google review
If you have a penchant for Indian food then get here for, without doubt, the best food on this wonderful island. We are experienced travellers to Bali (from Australia), and love hot, spicy Indian but this place is right up there! Congrats Ketut, chef extraordinare!
Dan E — Google review
We have been in Candidasa for a few days now and eaten at several of the restaurants but la rouge has been by far the best so far. I had the Mahi-Mahi special served in basil pesto with garlic roasted vegetables and chunky chips, the mahi-mahi was cooked to perfection and the flavours on the plate worked perfectly together; it was delicious! My partner had chicken cordon bleu which also looked perfectly cooked, she agrees it was our best meal here thus far. As well as the flavours the food was beautifully presented and the staff extremely friendly and helpful! Returned here this evening and were not disappointed, it was if possible even better than before I had the crab cake starter; they were the best crab cakes I've ever had, followed by the lamb chops which were again cooked to perfection; succulent and full of flavour! For dessert I had perfitorols which were filled with both a layer of whipped cream and a layer of ice cream... incredible! Certainly a 5 star restaurant and one of the best I've eaten at anywhere in the world.

Very nice place in Candidasa. We love it. Indonésian foods are amazing. Staff is so friendly and nice. Thank you for a nice time we spent here.
Gabriela N — Google review
The food quality is excellent. I visited a few times and everything was always very fresh. The service is exceptional and very observant. On my last night I had the special duck and it was phenomenal!! The Balinese style stuffing and the crispy perfectly cooked tender meat was to die for. The only bitter aftertaste was the 17% service charge and tax. Just include it in your menu prices.
Hardy E — Google review
Astawa Warung is located about 50 meters from our hotel and has been a great find. The menu offers plenty of local Balinese/Indonesian dishes as well as other Asian options. Portion sizes are surprisingly large. Prices are much cheaper than at the hotel — not the cheapest on the island, but absolutely worth it for what you get. The food is really delicious. If you want a more authentic local taste, tell them to add more spice. By default, the flavor is slightly adjusted for tourists and made milder. Service is very friendly and fast. We have eaten here several times and plan to come back again. Highly recommend trying the duck, but you need to order it a day in advance — definitely worth it. Keep in mind: the warung is located right by the roadside, so there is some traffic noise. Most warungs in this area are set up the same way, so it’s part of the experience. Bonus: from here you can also ask for “taxi” service. The local guys can take you by scooter to places where tourists normally wouldn’t go — all for a very reasonable price. Overall, a great place if you want real local flavors, good portions, and fair prices. Recommended.

So to start from the beginning the Servis and the hole staff was sitting on the phone not really trying to be nice ! Only one boy was very helpful and professional! The location is nice and clean and you have the view of the lotus park . ( noises because of the cars passing) Our waitress wasn’t really pleasant taking our order !we had a very nice picture in our mind of kind and helpful people ind Bali , with her as our waitress everything was an disaapointment! We order two Balinese plates and the chicken was smelling bad and had still wings on the skin ! Actually we didn’t find what was eateble from our plates! So we left hungry .( good that we had steaks rice ) For the reason that me and my partner are in the hospitality business ( he is a chef ) we understand somethings but this would be a disappointment for everybody else too .

Small Time Cooks is a charming roadside eatery that offers a variety of burger options including beef, chicken, veggie, and vegan. Customers rave about the incredible flavors and homemade pickles served with their burgers. The sweet potato fries are also highly recommended. The restaurant takes a sustainable approach to packaging and uses recycled materials for serving. Visitors appreciate the vegan-friendly menu and commend the helpful and friendly staff.
Food in Amed has been generally disappointing. But this place has really impressed me, the burgers were juicy and the fish was fresh. They have a side of pickle which was refreshing and good to cut through all the fats. Would be back!

Fresh french fries which we like as belgians. Soft and tasty buns, juicy chicken with delicious crust, juicy beef patties. Good big portions especially for the price. Staff is super friendly and will help you with your choice

My burger was very good smash cheese and double bacon. Also tried the pesto chicken one that was better. The sweet potatoes fries were very good too. My friend ordered fish and chips and it was a HUGE PLATE.
Paula L — Google review
Sharing some love bc there was a lot of hate on the reviews. The food is good! The bacon grilled chicken was ridiculously delicious! We also had the smash burger too which was so cheesy and good but we loved the grilled chicken more. We also had the spicy cheese potatoes ( mixed with sweet potatoes and reg potatoes) which are 🥵 hot and we like spicy but dang! Fair warning. They don’t skimp out of these cheese which was nice. The service was great. The lady took our order before we could make it up to the order counter. Then 6 people appeared in the kitchen out of no where. I’m not sure why ppl think the service is slow. Also, a good amount of the items are made in house. The owner minces the meat into the patties, homemade buns, sauces, and cuts the potatoes for the fries. The quality of the food is outstanding. Give it a shot!
Megan B — Google review
Great place to eat casual. We had one of our rare non-Bali style meals here and loved our burgers. I am not exclusively vegetarian but had one of the best veggo burgers I’ve ever had here and I’m pretty fussy. Totally recommend The Big Veggie (see pics). Pair with an ice-cold beer and this is a great place in central Amed Beach with a cool setting and excellent street-watching. Staff were nice and the owner is a dude, friendly guy. BTW, the owner has opened another great place up the street, called Treat Monster. Check it out!
Nick T — Google review
Best burger in Amed for sure. My wife and I came here after a big night and I really needed a good burger and was not disappointed. The Smash special burger was unbelievably good. My wife had the grilled pumpkin and beet salad which she said was perfect. Milkshakes and smoothies topped off a great lunch…..10/10.
David L — Google review
We stopped here for lunch yesterday from reading other recommendations. My wife and I have had our fair share of chips and burgers in our lives. My wife, who can be very fastidious with her review of chips, made the comment that these could have been the best chips she has eaten in her life. I ordered the triple smash special burger. 180g of patty, split into three smash patties. The burger was magnificent. The three smashed patties adding so much extra surface area for caramelisation and flavour. If we have the time, we will be heading back for lunch again today.

Ocean Terrace Restaurant is a dining option at Candi Beach Resort and Spa, offering stunning beachfront views of the Indian Ocean. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a focus on Western cuisine and an extensive drink menu. Guests can also enjoy traditional Balinese dishes at Seasalt or relax with cocktails at the al-fresco Ocean Bar. The restaurant is known for its superb food, great sea views, and outstanding service.
A wonderful restaurant—easily the best in the area! The food is incredibly delicious, beautifully presented, and complemented by excellent service. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, not only Balinese specialties but also European cuisine. The tuna steak is simply perfect! They also make amazing cocktails and offer excellent Balinese wine. The prices are higher than average, but the quality and experience are absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

We didn't stay at the hotel just came here for lunch. The restaurant has the beautiful view with white sand beach in front of the restaurant. Staff is friendly. The food was okay.

Superb food. Great sea views. Outstanding service. Almond crusted, oven roasted snapper with roast potatoes was exceptional. 2 thick steaks of fish fillet. Easily broke apart with my fork. Crispy outside and moist inside. Herbed potatoes a great addition. The salt and pepper calamari could have used more s 'n' p though. Still enjoyable. The prices are acceptable for the wonderfully presented food, linen napkins and table cloths, friendly attentive service. I was staying at another Hotel but dined here twice. On the second evening it was raining rather heavily as I was about to leave. My waiter kindly gave me an umbrella to use for my walk home (returned the next day) without hesitation. I've no hesitation to recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is beautifully located on the beach. Staff were very attentive and great. We enjoyed a dinner here along with breakfast which was included with our stay. They breakfast options were alright, I stuck mostly with the French toast and omelette, fruit was tasteless, did very much enjoy the fresh juices (especially their orange juice)

My husband, parents, and dog and I wanted to have lunch at this place. Firstly, it is difficult to find it. Secondly, we were not allowed to eat there with the dog. Although, we sat down far from everyone. And our dog is small in size. At first they told us we could, but then the manager came up and forbade us to sit. It was very frustrating. We sit quietly everywhere, the dog does not touch anyone, just lies under a chair. We went to another place where we were welcome. I won't go to your disgusting place anymore and I won't advise anyone.

Nestled in the charming area of Amed, Amed Resto is a culinary gem that offers a delightful blend of Asian, Indonesian, and Western cuisine. This popular dining spot is frequented by locals and visitors alike, thanks to its proximity to stunning diving and snorkeling sites. One of the standout experiences here is the opportunity to order fresh lobster directly from a nearby farm; guests can even join divers in catching their own dinner!
Great local restaurant with fresh seafood. We reserved two freshly caught live lobsters ahead of time. Delicious!

We had the best (and biggest) rock lobster of our lives! Kadek brought us to choose the lobster and she cooked it perfectly. The sauce was stunning too. A must visit in Amed.
Liyana J — Google review
Never coming back to this restaurant!! The waiter was extremely rude. I also work in the hospitality industry, and I found your staff’s body language to be very unprofessional when taking my order. Instead of asking properly, she just nodded her head with an annoyed expression, as if she was upset that I came close to closing time. If you don’t want to accept guests anymore, you could simply say that your restaurant is no longer taking orders or walk-ins. THAT’S IT!! On top of that, my avocado juice had no taste at all—not even. At the very least, the service you provide to guests should be better. I’m very disappointed. Please train again your young staff to be more polite towards locals. Don’t discriminate!!! Thanks to Mrs. Kadek that still be patient waiting us to finished our food🙏

I wish I was kidding but my whole experience with them was a joke. I ordered a ginger tea with a mie goreng and when the mie goreng came out, the prawn cracker was crawling with ants. Not just a few ants… it was actually crawling with it. The waiter didn’t even check the plate before bringing it. I was too stunned to even take a picture. I called him back immediately and showed him my plate. He didn’t really apologise, just said “oh” and brought my plate back to the kitchen (I was the only one in the restaurant). He came back 2 seconds later, he had just swapped the prawn cracker for another one…. That also had ants on it !! I called him back again, at this point I was so shocked I thought it was a joke from the restaurant. He brought my plate to the kitchen again, and this time, he had just removed the prawn cracker… by this point the ants had crawled under the plate, and were also in the rest of the dish. It was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. I told the other waitress I wasn’t going to eat here in the end, and she actually seemed surprised, like she couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t want to eat here anymore. I paid for my drink and left. I always try to support small, local restaurant but this was by far my worst experience and way too much, even for me. In the end the waiter and waitress didn’t really apologise or seemed bothered, they just kind of brushed it off like it was no big deal at all. Please save yourself the trouble, there is apparently 0 hygiene standards at all (not even checking the plate before sending it). Will never come back
Joanna C — Google review
I came here pretty late for dinner and they still feed me. Nice food and staff. I ordered soup and also grilled squid, I found squid little bit raw so they cooked a little bit extra for me :)
Itsaso L — Google review
Amazing experience !! You can order lobster before noon, and they will ask the lobster farm (that's 50m away) to go get them for the evening. You can even go yourself with the divers to see them catching your lobster. Can't be any fresher !! The evening, they will grill your lobster on the BBQ and make some indonesian sauce to go with them !! The owner is so sweet !! We really recommend this place ! Incredible lobster cooking !

The Boatshed Restaurant in Bali is a delightful dining spot that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Nestled near Amed Street, this charming eatery offers an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious meals while listening to the soothing sounds of the waves. The menu features a variety of beloved dishes, including standout options like tender ribs and flavorful fish tacos, ensuring there's something for everyone.
What an amazing place! Dinner right at the beach, sound of the waves, amazing food, friendly service what else is there to ask for? Food is seriously good quality and worth the price! I highly recommend the ribs, oh my they were tender and absolutely delicious. We also chose the surprise dessert because we could not make up our mind and it was very tasty. The manager was super kind, open and friendly. He picked us up at our villa and drove us to the restaurant. Also great service from the staff at the restaurant.
Leander B — Google review
Excellent food, quiet ambience listening to waves lap on the shore (no loud music, like others mentioned). Mango fish tacos were very good but star appetiser was crispy cumi-cumi pancakes with squid - beautiful. Fish satay main very enjoyable and my son loved pork ribs. Prices very reasonable for gourmet quality. We had an issue paying with credit card, despite sign at the front clearly showing accepted. But it turns out the whole Amed region had same problem. They kindly allowed us to pay at our hotel 4km away (our hotel also has the credit card problem).

Very nice spot looking out onto a quiet stony beach. Once the sun set there was some lovely warm festoon lighting. Service was great with lots of proactive offers to assist with our plans for the week. Food was good with a selection of local and western foods and they were very accommodating for some off menu requests for the kids.

Came across this place after snorkeling on the Japanese Wreck. We decided to have some lunch and the food was delicious. We ordered fish tacos and prawn tacos as well as some fried coconut prawns. The seafood was fresh and tasty, and the portions were generous given they were starters. Reasonably priced and with friendly staff, lunch with a view was excellent. And I can’t write this without mentioning the frozen marg was an ideal cooler on a hot Bali day. This place is highly recommended for a meal, and drinks.

Warung Amed is a delightful culinary gem nestled in the heart of Amed, where locals flock for an authentic taste of Indonesian cuisine. This charming eatery is renowned for its warm hospitality, courtesy of the friendly owners, Sri and Ketut. Diners rave about their extraordinary dishes, particularly the duck tutu—a must-try that requires pre-ordering due to its meticulous three-hour preparation.
I heard other people at my homestay say good things about Warung Amed so I stopped here for dinner. I asked the woman for a suggestion on a popular dish and she directed me to Fish in Garlic Butter and wow - This was so delicious! The fresh fish tasted great and the flavor of the garlic and vegetables were a great addition paired with rice. The local workers were kind and helpful. I’ll come here again next time I visit Amed!

If you want to try the most authentic food you must come here! Everything Serih cooks (she is lovely) is made with local products, her brother in law is a fisherman and every day brings her fresh fish, palm oil that she uses to cook and more stuff. We had the best gado gado in Bali, an amazing barracuda soup and excellent Balinese pancakes!

An unassuming little warung that has authentic and tasty food. I had the gado-gado which was one of the best ones I’ve had! The grilled fish was also lovely. Great prices and friendly staff. Take a little while to get your food but that’s how you know it’s fresh. Would recommend!

Nestled in the picturesque area near Sidemen, Sweet Warung is a delightful culinary gem that showcases the best of Asian and Indonesian cuisine. This charming eatery has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its stunning views and mouthwatering dishes. Guests rave about the grilled tuna, which is cooked to perfection, alongside other delectable offerings like chicken wrapped in pandan leaves, flavorful curries, and traditional Balinese pancakes known as dadar.
Our first meal in Phuket and it was such a nice start to the trip! The waiting time was a bit long, but honestly, it was worth it once the food arrived — everything was flavorful and freshly made. We ordered 4 different dishes, and all of them were delicious and easy to enjoy, especially for Vietnamese taste buds — nothing too spicy or overwhelming. The detox drink was… well, not the easiest to drink 😅 but hey, a little health boost never hurts! Overall, a cozy spot with good vibes and tasty food — a great place to kick off your Phuket food journey.
Bui M — Google review
Staff is amazing, went in a busy night and waiting time was between 40-50 minutes for a meal. It’s okey you are on holidays is no moment to rush, but some people might be expecting faster times. Fresh juices are nice and the views during the day stunning.
Itsaso L — Google review
Sweet Dining View offers beautiful panoramas overlooking the terrace fields, and the owner and staff were incredibly welcoming. I ordered the Nasi Campur, which was absolutely delicious. I loved the variety of chicken satay, tofu, tempe, crackers, and vegetables that came with it. However, we had an issue with one of the dishes we ordered. My friend, being a picky eater, decided to play it safe with a Caesar salad, expecting the classic combination of romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing. Their menu even states, "Romaine lettuce, tossed, boil egg with chicken or bacon with caesar dressing." What arrived, however, was far from a Caesar salad. It was a single layer of iceberg lettuce topped with cucumber, tomato, green beans, egg, croutons made from fried sandwich bread, and a brown sauce on the side. The only recognizable element to a Caesar salad was their version of croutons. We brought this up to the server, but it seemed either misunderstood or dismissed. If it had been labeled as a Chef’s Salad or House Salad, it would have set the right expectations.

This review refers to the smaller warung right on the street. We went back there a couple of times and had such good meals, we tried grilled tuna, pepes ikan, mie goreng and gado gado. Everything was very yummy. The ladies who are working there are super friendly too. Definitely recommended;-)
Steph K — Google review
We had lunch here with family of 5. Came because of the potential view.. initially staff wanted to place us on the back deck, but we managed to get a table closer to the view. Food is really good and reasonably priced, though there is a 10% tax/service charge that is not clearly indicated on the menu (-1 star). We had 2 Mie Goreng, 1 Nasi Campur, 1 Nasi Goreng and 1 Sweet/Sour chicken. 2 sodas, 2 milkshakes and 1 large beer for 545K. The 4 stars for service are due to the fact we had 3 meals arrive rather quickly then had to wait 10 minutes for the other 2..
David N — Google review
We visited Sweet Warung twice in September and once in July, and every single time the food and service were excellent. They accommodate dietary requirements with ease, and there was never any miscommunication. We will definitely return every time we are in Sidemen in the future 🥰 dog friendly!
Brig B — Google review
A bit of a disappointing meal – more expensive than other warungs nearby and the food was rather bland. I had the chicken satay, but the sauce had no peanut flavor at all, or really any flavor for that matter. Not very impressed. The place itself was quite nice, though I wish I had ordered something other than the satay.

What a little gem 💎 ✨️. We had dinner one night and went back for breakfast the next morning. Dinner: we both had the vegan pasta and shared a garlic bread. Breakfast: Montreal was one serve and the other was the big breakfast... both were delicious, the coffee was great too. Definitely worth stopping in, lovely decor and feel to the venue.

I recently dined at La Bottega and had a wonderful experience. The pizza was exceptionally tasty, and the complimentary bread was a nice touch. The staff were friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The only downside was that finding the entrance was a bit challenging due to the lack of signage. Despite this minor inconvenience, the quality of the food and service made it a memorable visit.

Tuna steak was nice. Well cooked and seasoned (a bit raw in the middle). Though, the texture of the tuna felt like it's been frozen...but then again tuna is probably not common in this sea area. The kombucha is nice! Chocolate lava was nice too. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The music and ambience is nice. A relaxing jazz music and spacious space.

Title: Nice ambience, Pizza is ok, tasty dessert + Smiling staff + Price, quality, quantity performance is good + Nice ambience + Clean rest rooms + They serve a little complimentery. It was 2 slice of tasty bread. You can dip it on olive oil and other sauce -On the table the standart water glass bottle the plastic closure inside was dirty. o I had the Pizza Margherita with some extra toppings. The pizza was big maybe like 30 cm diameter. The extra mushrooms had a good quantity but the extra onion was less. The pizza bread was ok. I guess it's not easy in Bali to get the special ingredients like flour, oil etc. to bake a genuine Italian pizza. For this it was all ok. The tomatoe sauce was also only ok. Overall I mist a little basil taste. o I had also the dessert "Hot Lava Cake" and it was really delicious. It's like a hot brownie with fluid chocolate inside, on top is a vanilla ice ball. Of course it was less because you want more and more :-) o I ordered an ice tea. They make it fresh was the statement. Unfortunately they put already sugar inside. A lot of restaurants and small Cafes in Bali serve fluit sugar extra, so that the guest can choose to use sugar or not. o The restaurant is in the resort. Go to the main door after passing it's directly on the right side ************************** Explanation of my votings + Pro - Contra o Only for your information 5 Stars: It was really special, you must try it 4 Stars: It was nice, you should try it 3 Stars: Nothing special, you could try it 2 Stars: Try only if you have no alternative 1 Stars: Bad, don't bother trying

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and generally has a pleasant settling atmosphere. A lot of foreigners around, didn’t see any locals except the staff. We’ve had a vegetarian pizza and a crème brûlée, everything was delicious, but the pizza dough was a bit dry to our taste. They offer complimentary water and bread to your order too. picture on the menu vs. what I was served 🫠 when receiving my meal I noticed there was no ham on the sandwich, so I assumed they accidentally gave me the BLT instead of the club sandwich, even though there was only one, possibly two slices of bacon inside. finished my bread and vegetable sandwich and told them they served me the BLT instead of the Club sandwich, to which they said no, there was ham. showed them the picture below, and they informed me the piece of meat below the 2nd bread piece is a, quote, "very thin slice" of ham. didn't even notice or taste it since it was so thin, and there was only one single slice. i was really expecting a meat sandwich from the photo, knew it wouldn't look exactly like the photo, but I felt quite scammed to only have one piece of bacon and one very thin slice of ham :( boyfriend got the butter chicken, which had no sauce and not much flavor the fries were pretty good, the employees were nice, but it did feel like it took quite a while for our 2 orders to come out, being the only people there and 5? employees downstairs. i hope the restaurant can improve this in the future

The pizza was okay. I ordered the Meat Lover. Even though I was the only one in the restaurant, it took more than 30 minutes to arrive. As others have said, it's quite small, I knew that before I came in, but I didn't realize how small it was. That's also why I ordered the Meat Lover: it has the most ingredients and is one of the most expensive on the menu. But still, the very long waiting-time to get it + the fact that it arrived small can't make it up to more than 3 stars. The place was calm though.

What a gem in Amed! We are gutted we didn’t find this place on our first night, we spent 3 days in Amed and spent our last 2 nights here for food! I didn’t take any photos but there are photos on the menu - and they are exactly how they look when they get to you!! We had grilled tuna, rice bowl (butter chicken), onion rings and calamari rings on the first night. Second we had spring rolls, butter chicken rice bowl, mushroom soup, chicken teriyaki bowl and chicken wings. Both nights were incredible and the quality / freshness of the food was amazing, they made us feel so welcome! When we visit Amed in the future, we will definitely come back 🤍 thank you so much!!
