Rimba Cafe is a charming spot in Amed with a bamboo bungalow look and an open kitchen. The cafe boasts beautiful gardens and decor, creating a wonderful ambiance for visitors. The menu offers a variety of options for different dietary preferences, including plant-based, carnivorous, and sweet treats.
100% recommended! This vegan went 6 times! They have a huge menu, with a lot of variety for every taste, and over 15 vegan options (as well as catering to different dietary requirements) and there are heaps of options to keep me and my friends coming back. Some of my friends are meat eaters too. The atmosphere is lovely, they have split the restaurant into 2 areas, and both are great, no air con but lots of fans. RIMBA means jungle, and they have gone all out on the vibe, so much greenery and jungle plants, with big glass windows to see the lush surrounds. At night, the garden is lit beautifully, and there is even a nice outdoor table tucked away in the garden. The food I ordered: 1) The vegan jackfruit "pulled p!rk" vegan wrap was my favourite, tasted so meaty and smokey like bbq meat, with loads of fresh salad and an easy to eat style. I actually got this twice it was so good! 2) The vegan Asian salad with tofu and tempe is a delicious, fresh and crunchy cold meal to help deal with the heat. a generous serving size. It has cold noodles at the bottom and mint, basil and cucumber. 3) Vegan rice paper rolls "Fresh summer rolls" - refreshing and had marinated tofu inside, great for hot days (all days in Amed) I have to mention, two of my friends had burgers (the beef and the vegan jackfruit patty) and they ended up feeling a bit sick afterwards, so I don't know if the burgers were oily, heavy or just too big for my friends. So I stayed away from the burger menu. Other times my friend had the tart of the day (not vegan) and she loved it. Desserts: They have a pastry display at the front, you have to walk out to the street to see it (I missed it the first 2 times, so I thought I would point it out haha). They have some vegan Snickers bars and other vegan chocolate bar delights. They have 1) They had a special vegan ice cream sandwich, which was two giant vegan cookies with ice cream in the middle, was so good on a hot day, and you have to devour it with your hands before the ice cream melts!! 2) Vegan chai ice cream - very nice, lightly flavoured, I think coconut-based. But FYI the ice cream cones are not vegan, so get it in a cup instead. Drinks: They have vegan oat milk and vegan soy milk They had some specials on the chalkboard: Alchemy Lemonade - a not-too-sweet lemonade with rosemary syrup and butterfly pea tea, I ended up having it 4 times, only 28K and really unique and refreshing. Salty dog latte - Iced coconut milk latte with salty caramel syrup, absolutely delish - also really unique and refreshing. Matcha iced latte - great, not too bitter and not pre-sweetened Iced Taro Latte - for a non-caffeine option, really nice and sweet They are always busy, so sometimes it is hard to get the waiter's attention, but the staff are all lovely and helpful. Lacks vegan breakfast options - unless you want a smoothie bowl :D They have 6 vegan smoothie bowls, but I didn't try them. Also, I didn't get to try the vegan coconut ceviche because they were out of it every time, but I am sure it would have been divine! Other vegan options I didn't try: Vegan Pumpkin waffles (rare to find them without eggs and milk), Vegan summer salad, Jackfruit teriyaki bowl

Tropical paradise cafe! Phenomenal food and baking! I tried the rainbow bowl, dairy free ice cream, and pavlova. All were delicious! I love the back area. Like a greenhouse and cafe together. Bright and full of plants and life. Very peaceful. Though it can be busy and fill up. I have been back many times in just a few days.

I LOVE this cafe and went here every day in my week long trip in Amed. The atmosphere is so lovely with plants everywhere. You feel like you are in the jungle, and yet there are no mosquitoes and it’s not too hot. There’s an indoor area with air conditioning and outdoor eating area that’s completely shaded. I worked remotely here a couple days I was in Amed. The wifi worked well in the front outdoor area but not great (or at all) in the indoor a/c room. I just hot spotted with my esim when I wanted to work inside and it was fine though. All the food is so fresh and delicious. It’s a good option if you want healthy western food. I especially loved all the smoothie bowls. I ended up having one everyday because they were so tasty and fresh.

Great coffee and quality of food is really good. Lots of vegan options, and do checkout their bakery on the front. Vegan jackfruit wrap (gluten free option) is bomb. It took me couple visits, to try the pumpkin bowl with homemade vegan feta. OMG. The feta is soooo good. Just wish it was more ;)

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, I would eat here every meal if I could. Amazing food, great atmosphere. They made their own bread and pastry. There is a lot of choices on the menu. If you are going to amed, you must stop here.
Nicolas C — Google review
I would honestly give you 5 stars on your Banofee pie alone, so mouthwatering delicious! I ate various salads here and I enjoyed the Pumpkin & feta but the Falafel and Asian fell a bit short on flavour. The Blue cheese with roasted vegetable was good too. Portion sizes are excellent with fresh ingredients.

We had breakfast this morning at Rimba Cafe Amed, and it was a great choice. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, lush, well-kept, and full of secluded little nooks tucked away in the greenery, perfect for a quiet or romantic catch-up. The food was very tasty, served in generous portions, and the menu had a great range of options, including all-day dining. A peaceful and well-presented spot that’s definitely worth a visit.

Very nice cafe with good food and affordable prices. The only problem is the wifi - i could not work both with their wifi and my hotspot as i didn’t have connection inside the cafe. Other than that everything was great. Very cool interior and affordable prices. I took 2 sandwiches and 2 coconuts and paid only 177k IDR.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Sidemen, Cepik Villa Sidemen offers a serene retreat with its outdoor pool, lush garden, and on-site restaurant. The spa facilities provide indulgent massages and beauty treatments, while guests can also enjoy activities like cycling. The hotel's founders were captivated by the area's natural beauty and warm community, leading them to establish this tranquil haven.
A superb stay at Cepik Villa Sidemen. The location and views are stunning and nothing is too much trouble for the staff and management. The rooms range from simple villas to more luxurious suites overlooking the rice fields, 6 villas in total. As a solo traveller I would particularly recommend the resort. It felt private, peaceful and non-commercial, attracting a similar type of traveller. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here 3 times and always enjoy it. This time we stayed in the sunrise suite which is fabulous, quite luxurious with a fabulous view and a bath! The pool can be a little cool in the afternoon as it is in the shade but that can be a relief from the heat. The restaurant serves simple good food. Breakfast is great, particularly the overnight oats. You do need to walk up quite a steep hill to get to other restaurants and coffee shops but we are walkers so not an issue for us. The staff are very friendly. Great location if you want quiet and good walking.
Bronwen H — Google review
Everything was perfect since the moment we got there. We got welcome drink, Wayan explained us everything we needed about our stay and even booked for us the silver workshop (that was amazing) and arranged us a motorbike. When we finish our welcome drink, the luggage already waited for us in the amazing Sunset room. We got the flower bath and flower decorations all over the room🌸 During our stay the staff take care for everything we needed - yoga mats, food, drinks, recommendations and were nice, kind and helpful. Above all- Wayan really saved us! We booked a ferry and thought of maybe went out an hour in advance, he explained us the traffic and called 13 drivers until he funded the one that took us as fast as he can to the pear. Thank you so much for that lovely experience! Super recommended

Spent 3 days in Sidemen, stayed at the sunrise suite in Cepik for our first trip to Bali, where we are greeted every morning by sunrise over the jungle and the rice fields, the distant crowing of roosters, the lush smell of the verdant surrounding, the occasional scent of burning rice stalks. The staff was excellent and very attentive. We found a new friend in Bali when we booked their driver Arya during our whole stay in Sidemen. The experience was something we pursued to provide a contrast to our more lengthy stay in Nusa Dua. Will recommend Cepik villa for a stay closer to the villages, probably something with the charm of what Bali used to be.

Wonderful. The place really blew us away. The romantic scene and food quality really makes it up for an old style of rooms. We had a very romantic dinner prepared for us by the stuff with was totally worth paying the extra for this Loved it.

Beautiful area, surrounded with rice fields and nature, few restaurants in walking distance. Rooms are big and clean, with spacious bathroom. You have drinking water in room, but make sure you keep windows and doors close, there are lot of bugs and giant spiders around. Hotel restaurant provide lot of vegan and vegetarian options. Very good BREAKFAST! You choose from few options, but portion is more then enough for great start of the day you have also fruits plate on side or fresh smoothie and caffe or tea.

Nestled along the stunning coastline, Lezat Beach Restaurant is a delightful dining destination that perfectly captures the essence of Bali. With its open-air design, guests can savor their meals while enjoying breathtaking views of the ocean and the distant Nusa Penida islands. This charming eatery is an extension of Ashyana Candidasa Beach Resort and offers a diverse menu featuring both local Indonesian flavors and international cuisine, ensuring there's something for everyone—including plenty of vegetarian options.
Excellent restaurant! Great food, staff, service, and sea views. We had mahi-mahi, prawn, and squid dishes. Along with a papaya salad, cold Prost beers, and yummy dessert. Highly recommended!
Christopher D — Google review
Le-Zat Restaurant, Candidasa: While our time in the area was limited, this beachfront spot proved to be a convenient and satisfying choice. We ordered the seafood grill, which was a mixed bag. The calamari was a bit chewy, the prawns were decent, but the mahi mahi fish was excellent—fresh and cooked to perfection. The tom yum soup was another standout, delivering a comforting balance of spice and flavor. The raw papaya and tomato salad was a highlight, fresh, tangy, and absolutely delightful. For the kids, we opted for a sandwich and fries, which were simple but enjoyable. The spaghetti pasta with Parmesan cheese was also well-prepared and flavorful, making it a hit at the table. For those willing to venture a bit further (about 100–200 meters from Le-Zat), there are plenty of other dining options worth considering.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to Amed. The food was so delicious, I had the balinese meal with a bit of everything, it was all amazing, hubby had the seafood curry which was also really good. It wasn’t busy when we were there (late afternoon) staff were really attentive and the views were stunning. Very reasonably priced 😊 lots of easy parking.

Nice place, with tables looking out over the water. You can buy and eat fresh lobster (of your choice) which we did. Lobsters small, but tasty. We had a variety of dishes, all pretty good. Drinks were good. Service was very friendly and good too. And they also had some local dancing too, which was good to see.
Nathan H — Google review
Beautiful location by the ocean. It was fairly busy when we were there but our order was taken and food delivered quite quickly. All the dishes we had were tasty, and the juices too. Prices were possible a bit high (we paid 500k for lunch for two people).

Greta good! We had 5 Balinese dishes and all were super tasty! Staff very polite and view is stunning! You can swim in clean waters whilst waiting for food. Definitely recommend! Also, they are pet friendly)
T. H — Google review
The food was delicious, but the service was just okay. I wanted to try their live lobster, but one of the staff told me it was very expensive — it felt like he thought I couldn’t afford it 😅. Luckily, the lady who took care of us during lunch was very friendly and nice. The atmosphere was quite noisy because there’s a government pedestrian project right in front of the restaurant.
Diah K — Google review
Great service. Cash only. The whole resort is cash only when we visited. Food was very average. When I read the reviews I thought we were in for the best tasting food in Bali. Sadly it was tasteless and over priced. Coffee average to poor. The views are amazing. You will feast on the sunset but your taste buds will go hungry for satisfaction. Avoid better options in town!

Beutiful cafe and nice decor. Really nice place that are worth visiting! Thank you for delicious coffee! All the best.

Pretty good hipster cafe... bread is a little dry though, coffee is really small, and the to-go cup lids fall off. Also cash only. Has potential but feels like cutting corners- and dozens of other options around. Worth hitting once.
Michael B — Google review
Loaf was recommended to me by the hosts of my villa rental, and I have to say, it did not disappoint!!! The first thing to note is that this place is cash only, so leave your card at home. All of the food and drinks are reasonably priced and worth every penny!!! There is a great selection of breakfast, brunch, dinner, and drinks, from traditional western to traditional Balinese. There really is something for everyone!!! Aside from the great main menu, there is a selection of home baked cakes and breads to choose from. I had an apple crumble, it it was absolutely out of this world!!! I also had eggs benedict which was made with the finest and freshest ingredients, and was so very tasty and well cooked. I also had a strawberry milkshake which was just perfect!!! There is indoor and outdoor seating available here, and the inside is air conditioned and very comfortable. This is also wheelchair friendly. They also do a take out service for those who want to eat at home. The staff here were very welcoming, warm, and friendly, and I couldn't have asked for a better service. I will definitely be returning here!!

Really good place to eat. I highly recommend for people in Candidasa
Carine N — Google review
This little cafe is a real surprise, and I would have never expected to find such a place in Candidasa. The menu offers an original choice (Western style) and the food, made with fresh ingredients, is excellent. I think their chicken & leek pie is the best I've ever had - sorry for my UK and Irish friends! 😉 I also liked the beans salad, avocado toast, and the cakes, especially the coconut one! Simply delicious. Thumbs up to the cook and kitchen staff. Coffees and teas are a bit expensive - Being French, I tend to use the price of espresso coffee as a reference, and I'm not sure to understand why it is more expensive here than in a lot of places in Europe. The overall prices have gone up vs the menu displayed in some pictures. I've read a lot about the friendliness of the staff in the comments, but as far as I'm concerned, I've never had a lot of smiles (except from one gentleman, who I only saw once) nor a super friendly welcome, although I think I'm always nice, polite and respectful.

It’s my first time in Candidasa and I absolutely love it. Everything is unexpectedly good in the Loaf cafe. The mushroom soup was perfection. The avo toast with poached eggs was HUGE! And by saying “huge” I really mean the size of my palm portion. And also good service, very nice beautiful girl at the counter. Thank you, Loaf Cafe🩵

A lovely little Cafe with great food at reasonable prices on the main stretch in Candidasa. We tried the Eggs Benedict, Smashed Avo and Bircher Muesli and they were all great as were the coffees. The Mango juice was a bit bland so could have used a little flavour enhancing but overall a pretty great spot for brekky.

Wow! They first drove us to the restaurant. Very good service in restaurant. There was a singer with beautiful music. The food was very good and the price okay! Ambiente perfect right in the sea with windows open and candle. After all that they drove us back to the hotel! Loved it, very nice staff :)

We ate at Garpu while staying at Ramayana Resort for a couple days. During that time we had breakfast twice (included with hotel stay) and lunch once. Both visits to breakfast were lovely. There was a pretty decent selection of foods to choose from. Everything tasted as good as you might expect for an included breakfast, and there was fresh coffee and a make your own tea option. Unfortunately lunch did not live up to our expectations, hence the 3* review. The Thai Seafood Curry was bland and lacked nearly any flavor associated with a curry. The seafood was also clearly unseasoned and overcooked. The Gado Gado was even worse and bordered on concerning. My wife and I both spit out the piece of tofu we tried and questioned whether it had gone bad. The staff and the view were amazing, but there is a lot of room for improvement on the food.

The seafood restaurant Sama Sama Amed is a great spot for anyone visiting the island of Amed. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the beach is just across the street. The family that owns it is gracious and impressive in the kitchen, and they offer great seafood at very reasonable prices. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in crystal clear waters.
I was looking for an area with an easy access to snorkel in Bali. I didn't want to go on snorkeling trips. Read about Jemeluk Beach and a friend mentioned Sama Sama Amed area has the best house reel and beautiful marine life to explore, and she's right! Slept in family room which could easily host 4 to 5 people. Clean! That's important. Comes with breakfast - simple but nice. I had an amazing time there and will definitely come back!

It’s been my second time at Sama Sama Amed and as always I really enjoyed my stay. I hope next time I have a little more time :) The are is chill and quiet and the garden area is really beautiful. The rooms are spacious and have the essentials. The breakfast was included, simple but good. 👍🏼 nice view from the breakfast area.

This is our fourth stay at Soma Soma. As the name suggests, there has been little change in that time. The restaurant boasts the best view in Amed. After breakfast you grab your snorkel and walk 10 metres to waters edge. The coral garden is another 5 -10 metres off the shore. The team at Soma Soma can organise a boat trip to other snorkel sites, if you like, but they don’t match the one on the doorstep. Rooms are clean and functional. Price is very reasonable. Food is excellent. The garden provides tranquility from the bustle on the road. The two Mades and Komang are excellent hosts. Welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Murray R — Google review
Perfect location not only close to the beach and a large number of diving operators and small shops, but with what is one of the best places for eating proper Balinese food. The rooms were incredibly clean, even beyond the already high cleanliness standards for rooms they have in the area. The staff are very very friendly, they managed to sort out a few tiny issues with the AC within half a day. And the dinner, just perfect. We tried a few other restaurants in the area and we always ended up dining here. No way you can beat their bubur injin or their really tasty fresh fish with a properly hot sambal. Breakfast was large enough to keep you running all day and the Bali coffee was always close to perfection. We really loved this and would definitely return.

Room was good, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient, but nothing special. We had dinner on the first night, but again nothing special. Lots of nicer restaurants around. Location was good, right on the beach. Snorkelling was great, didn’t have to go very far to see lots of fish and coral. Most of the staff were friendly and efficient.

Really lovely hotel in Amed. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the main area. The breakfast is simple, but nice. You can snorkel right off the beach. I stayed in their budget room which was basic, but clean and tidy. I would recommend staying here.

This place has a good view and the people are pleasant enough! It’s a great spot to relax with a coconut and snorkel. However, I did get almost immediate food poisoning from this place, it’s the worst I’ve had, so I think they may wash their food in tap water or their cleanliness is just lacking in kitchen - avoid eating there :(

Simple clean rooms, very spacious. Direct walk to the beach, accomodating when we needed earlier breakfast. Easy access to Snorkelling (not Scuba though, as that's not all in Amed)..

Cafe
Kafe Meeting Point is a delightful haven designed as a gathering spot for discussions and casual meet-ups. With its relaxed and inviting atmosphere, it serves as the perfect backdrop for everything from business meetings to friendly catch-ups. On a recent visit, I almost missed this gem while searching for lunch on a Sunday, but was pleasantly surprised when they welcomed me inside! The fried noodles were satisfying, but the real star was the dessert—rolled pancakes filled with coconut palm sugar that were simply divine.
This small cafe is often passed by due to its corner location on the main road. But dont pass by. Its a lovely family run cafe with smiling staff and comfy seating. The iced coffee, full of vanilla ice-cream was perfect. We've not eaten here but will back again.

It's a great place to have breakfast or brunch, i ordered the egg benedict and it's wonderful, the soft boiled eggs cooked perfectly and aligned well with the toast and ham. I also ordered the coffee and personally i loved it so much. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, the ambience is cozy and zen, overall I'll come back here for the 2nd time!

This often overlooked cafe in the far corner of Amed has lively comfy seats and a great atmosphere. I didn't eat so have said the food as average but the food smell was divine. We will be back for lunch! The iced coffee was really good served with the sugar syrup on the side so you can add to your own taste makes it perfect

Great menu! Lots of vegetarian options. The avocado bruschetta was delicious, I found my new favorite lunch! The pumpkin salad tasted good too. The coffee was good and I love the cup btw. If you are in Amed you must visit this place! The staff is also friendly!

We almost walked right by looking for lunch on a Sunday because it looked closed. Luckily, they opened the door and asked if we were looking for lunch! We both had fried noodles, which were good, but the dessert really impressed us. The rolled pancakes with coconut palm sugar inside were so tasty! Prices are OK, not the lowest in town, but definitely not the highest and worth a little extra for comfy seating and A/C.

What an incredible place in Amed. Food is fantastic, service is lovely and the decor is SO cute. There is an amazing range of food on the menu but their Tuna Steak had to be our favourite(so good we forgot to take a photo!). It was so tender and the seasoning was unbelievable. We also loved our desserts. Thank you for having us!

I stayed at Solaluna and enjoyed breakfast every day at The Cup, a remarkable coffee shop in Amed. Their morning meals were consistently delightful, complemented by their exceptional Balinese coffee which surpassed the quality of other establishments. The staff's service was outstanding, matching the excellent service provided by the Solaluna group. Don't forget to visit the top floor for a breathtaking view of both the ocean and volcano!
We had a very nice dining experience at The Cup Coffee Shop & Cafe. The Egg Benedict was flavorful, the smoothie bowl was perfectly presented and delicious. Our server, Madi, was attentive and friendly. Prices are good, quality of the food is great! We'll definitely be back! ☺️

Cup Coffee Shop and Cafe stands out with its great atmosphere and unique decor, featuring tables and chairs made from recycled drums. The coffee is excellent, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It's a charming spot that combines eco-friendly design with quality beverages and welcoming service.

One of the best restaurants in Amed. The atmosphere is warm, the food is delicious, and the live music adds a great touch. Highly recommended!
Diona N — Google review
Not only one of my favorite places to work. The coffee and food is not mind blowing and just okay. Pricing is for that rather a hint expensive. If you want to enjoy the view you can sit at the top. If that is too hot for you, you can sit at the ground floor. Very friendly staff. And free water (if you ask for it). I would wish the food & coffee would be more tasty. Also, a some renovation and fans would be great. Plus, I think their coffee machine is not set up well or the coffee they use is low in quality. Wifi fast Power socket outlets 5-7 Quite and a lot of space

What really stood out to me, though, was the service. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They were happy to make recommendations and made me feel welcome without being intrusive. The coffee is outstanding – expertly brewed, rich in flavor, and served at just the right temperature. Love it ❤️❤️

Green Melon Warung is a charming eatery located in Bunutan, Abang, Karangasem Regency, Bali 80852. The menu features Asian and Indonesian cuisine with an emphasis on healthy dishes. Visitors rave about the freshly caught and barbecued mahi-mahi served with Balinese salad and rice, all wrapped in a banana leaf cone. The cozy atmosphere and personalized service make diners feel like part of the family.
Lovely place with a warm welcome and delicious traditional local food. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, perfect to enjoy an authentic meal. Highly recommended!”

It was so good me and my wife ordered twice in less than 24 hours. I recommend to get a plate of each of his seafood plates. Also, he did deliver to our rented home with amazingly presented food even when packaged!! My first time was 6 plates and my second order was 7 plates that I requested for similar plates to be packaged together….for two…..it’s that good.

Very nice little Warung on the coastal road. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of what we got was convincing: a lemon and a pineapple juice, fresh and cold, a fish salad (very tasty lemony dressing) and spring rolls with Satay sauce. For main course, we had the seafood combination and beef rendang, which was really delicious. Service is friendly and attentive, the place done with lots of nice little details. Overall, an experience definitely to be recommended!

Lovely place to stop by while your driving along the coast. The food was very nice! We've had the Mi Goreng one with chicken the other one vegetarian. House made Iced tea and for dessert, fried banana. Everything was very nice.

Great service, amazing pancakes and really cosy family run retreats that offers a lot considering the size. Had the most delicious pancakes with coconut filling which was one of the best desserts I have had in Bali. Incredibly affordable - we paid 6£ for 2x plates of pancakes, a cocktail and ice tea 🌸 Would highly recommend stopping by!

What a sweet surprise my husband and I had at Green Melon. Everyday from Meditasi to town, usually Blue earth to do yoga, we pass this Warung and everyday we tell each other that we should stop in and try their menu. This evening was that time. Normally is the restaurant quaint, with motivational signs, it has free wifi, great atmosphere, lovely owners and delicious food. As is with most Balinese meats, they are on the tougher side but the flavours are so good. Pop-in, try it for yourself and write your own review for them. Cause in a small town like Amed, as a tourist supporting local business is important.

What an incredible experience we’ve had at Green Melon, a small family business. Awesome vibes, peaceful, spectacular food cooked by the wife and impeccable service from the husband and their helper. It was only 2 minutes walking from our vila. Do your self a favour and just go. Ps: try the coconut milk shake. ;)

Like the many out there, I love the food here. We ordered takeaway from Green Melon, so impressed that we walked (30mins) there the next day for lunch. The local fares are spot on and rated these guys no. 2 in our Amed local restaurant. No. 1 is Warung Sabar in our opinion. What really disgusted me is the additional tax that these guys charged us. It may not be much for tourist, it's more of a principle, 20%, not the 10% elsewhere. Unbelievable!

Cafe People Point is a popular spot located in a bustling office center, known for being a favorite among office workers to relax, meet colleagues, or even have casual meetings. It's an amazing spot for breakfast, lunch, dinner & drinks. Huge selection of food. A lot of vegan, vegetarian, European, Indonesian, ... options to choose from. Every single meal we ordered, was exceptional. Drinks, smoothies, juices ...prepared from fresh fruit, they tasted great. The prices are fantastic. Meals are beautifully decorated when served. Great food, bad payment policy I loved the food, drinks, and atmosphere at People Point. Everything was fresh and beautifully served, and I really wanted this to be one of my favorite cafes in the area. But I had two disappointing experiences when trying to pay with my Permata debit card. Both times, they insisted on charging an extra 3%, which is only applicable to foreign or credit cards — not local Indonesian debit cards. According to Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 23/6/PBI/2021, businesses are not allowed to impose a surcharge on payments made with debit cards. This fee must be covered by the merchant, not passed on to the customer. The first time, I refused to pay and they told me to do a bank transfer instead — which was inconvenient and unnecessary. The second time, they accepted the card without the fee, but the waitress made it clear I wasn’t welcome anymore. She told me “we already know you’re difficult,” even though I was calm and respectful the entire time. That really ruined the experience. I hope this café reconsiders its approach to payments. It’s sad to see such a great place damaged by poor customer service

Amazing food - we ordered the hash brown Avo (highly recc!) and the dragonfruit pancake. It was fluffy, fresh and wasn’t too sweet or dense. The tumeric latte and raw cacao are natural and unsweetened which we liked. You can ask for sugar/ honey if needed. Coffee was great! And WiFi connectivity is amazing for those who need a space to remotely work. There’s also a kids play corner. I spent my whole morning here and will definitely be back.

Rare occurrence for coeliac! I thoroughly enjoyed the fried banana fritter with ice cream 😁 (as well as grilled chicken with veges and rice). Much better food options and prices after having a cocktail and swim in infinity pool across the road for sunset.

The Joli Best View Cafe is a great place to enjoy the view of the ocean and Bali's coastline. Great Spot with Stunning Views – Just Time Your Visit Right! Joli Café was a lovely place to spend our afternoon. The view over Jemeluk Bay is absolutely mesmerizing—easily one of the best in Amed. The service here really stood out. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always smiling. We felt genuinely cared for, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We arrived around 4 PM, right in the middle of a 30°C heatwave 😅. Despite the heat, the team did everything they could to make us comfortable—big thanks to them for that! By 5:30 PM, the scorching terrace turned into a perfect sunset spot with a much more pleasant breeze. Food and drinks were average for Amed—nothing particularly special, but tasty enough to leave us satisfied. Overall, this place is all about the view. Just don’t make the same mistake we did—come after 5:30 PM to avoid the heat and enjoy the sunset in comfort! 🌅

03/09 We had such a great experience last time so we decided to come again for the last meal in Amed before we leave but this time we were very disappointed. We ordered the same thing we had last time but it all tasted different in a bad way. The Honey Chili Fish was extremely sweet. We couldn't taste any other flavor except sweet. The Fish Curry was Soupy and Salty with not a lot of other taste. We were hungry and short on time because we have to go back to pack our bags so we didn't ask them to redo it because it already took a while to get the order already. After, we took the Black Rice Pudding thinking that dessert will probably taste the same as it's a kind of dessert where you have to prepare ahead of time and just reheat it for order. It took nearly 1 hour for us to get it after we informed them that we have been waiting a long time. Again, it tasted different. It was more liquidy and very bland. We did informed the staff when we paid that everything tasted different and she refunded us 20k idr which was a nice gesture but the whole evening was still disappointing. The staffs are still very nice and friendly and the view is still great but I wouldn't be recommending this to anyone until they can keep their standard and quality stable. 28/09 Had an amazing dinner here! We arrived at 17:30 to have sometime to appreciate the view before the sunset. Recommend the Fish curry and Fish Honey Chili it was so good! The Grilled fish was okay. Great cocktail Pina colada, Mojito! Creamy Espresso Martini was okay. And I love the Black Rice Pudding! Staffs are all very nice and attentive we even brought 2 shirts! We were lucky to go on the day with live music. It was very enjoyable. Absolutely recommend, and better to book in advance.

I was lucky enough to grab a spot in the top area—front-row seats for the sunset over the bay. The views are incredible, and the atmosphere, with soft chill music in the background, is wonderfully relaxing. The food was good too, and the service kind and smiley. It was a bit messy at first—they mixed up table numbers and I had to call them over to order dessert—but nothing major. The view alone makes it worth the visit, and with good food and a great vibe, it’s a spot I wouldn’t miss.
Juan C — Google review
The view is good and food was just ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had bad experience here that might important for others specially older people. I fell forward onto the floor because it was uneven — there was about a 2 cm drop that wasn’t visible when I was walking to my table. The staff told me that many other customers have also fallen there and that they’ve already reported it to the owner, but the floor still hasn’t been fixed. I have an existing problem with my knee, so I definitely feel harmed by the fall. I asked for some ice to compress my injured knees and leg, and the staff there were very helpful with that. I attached photo of the floor.

We reserved a table on the top floor enjoying refreshing juice and iced coffee which we waited for the sun to lower before ordering dinner! During my recent travels, I stumbled upon the charming Divers Cafe & Restaurant in Amed, a hidden gem that perfectly blends local culture with stunning beach views. While searching for fishing adventures, I met Captain Ketut Sepel at this delightful spot. His 40 years of experience shone through as he guided us on an unforgettable early morning fishing trip where we caught mahi mahi and tuna. The excitement didn’t end there; we returned to Divers Cafe to cook our fresh catch together!
We were researching mahi mahi fishing trips in Amed, and by chance, we met Captain Ketut at Divers Cafe while exploring the area. We were sitting on their sunbeds, enjoying a cold drink, and renting snorkeling gear in Diver's Cafe, when we got to know him. He’s been fishing for 40 years and is incredibly experienced! During our early morning trip, we caught plenty of mahi mahi and even some tuna. Captain Ketut went out of his way to help us catch fish and took us to the best fishing spots he knew. He also shared a lot of insights about the local area. In the evening, they grilled the fish we caught and served us the best fish soup I’ve ever had in my life. I highly recommend this experience—it was unforgettable!

Incredible! I stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant and hotel by chance while looking for a fishing tour, something to do during my stay in Amed! Captain Kutut Sepel took me fishing! We set out early in the morning, and it was an adventure I'll remember forever! I've fished all over the world, but I have to say, I've never had such a genuine and fun experience! Then, we cooked the fish together at his restaurant! I'm an Italian chef, so they helped me prepare it, and we had a blast! A huge thanks to the amazing staff!

The absolute best on Virgin Beach. I felt so cared for by the ladies that worked there. They really welcomed me and were attentive but not intrusive. Everything was FRESH. The food was SO good. It doesn’t looks as designed as some of the others, but the food is better. Their kitchen looked clean and stove is a real fire. The massage was excellent. Great view and area for sunbeds. The best restaurant on the beach in Bali, we always come back for great massage and perfect lunch. I really recommend to everyone.

Good quality food. Loved the fresh barracuda and the garlic sauce. Fresh coconuts, free beach lounger with clean towels. Basic toilet facility with flushing loo and soap. Friendly and good service. Prices more or less in line with the other warungs - maybe slightly higher on fish and coconuts. Fair price on bali coffee .

Such a cute breakfast spot! Had a delicious smoothly bowl, beet pancakes, and an egg pretzel. Drinks was a cold pressed juice and choc peanut butter milkshake. Everything was so good and the service amazing! Thank you to Dedek for such an amazing experience ☀️ Would highly recommend stopping here for a drink, breakfast or even light meal!

Can't comment on the food, only visited the Eco Store. It's great! Lots of hard to find items are right here in Amed! All the natural food, cos metrics, cleaning supplies. Loved the dried goods section with nuts and seeds. The staff told me most of it is locally produced. See the pics of what kind of stuff is there. And the best part, it was not expensive :)

Good stuff!! You delivered. My husband and I feasted on a melange of pork belly, halloumi and boiled eggs. 😋 We ate it all up and felt so content with all of these flavours racing around in our mouths. Good stuff!! Your staff are welcoming and knowledgeable and happy to have a laugh with us. Good stuff!! Your vision and concept is impeccable, from the decor to the menu and your Eco Store next door. You have thought of everything and put it into one package for us. Good stuff!! We are happy you are in Amed. 🫶🙏

Can recommend! Good place to work and also the drinks & food is very good! The staff is super friendly, you get free water during your stay and the ambience is relaxed. I’ve been there twice. There’s also a eco store right next to the cafe where you can buy different eco-friendly products.

We can definitely recommend this restaurant. We ordered once for delivery and visited in person once – and both times the food was absolutely excellent. The steak is world-class, with meat of the highest quality. The staff are warm, quick, and attentive. It’s a great place to spend your time, and we’ll certainly be coming back

Food at dinner was so good, we came back for breakfast the next day! Really good selection of food and everything is made with great ingredients. Burgers were really tasty for dinner. Pancakes were awesome and filling for breakfast. Smoothie bowls and juices also very nice.

I ordered a cheesecake treat for my birthday and was so impressed with the quick service. To my surprise, it arrived with a lovely “Happy Birthday” message written on it, which made the experience even more special. Such a thoughtful touch thank you! The cheesecake was so good 💛

Oketo Cafe Candidasa is a popular spot among locals, offering Asian and Indonesian cuisine as well as delicious coffee. The cafe provides a comfortable and cozy atmosphere with spacious seating, making it perfect for reading or enjoying a leisurely meal. Visitors rave about the excellent smoothie bowls, tasty cinnamon buns, and flavorful coffee. The friendly staff and beautiful interior add to the overall appeal of this charming cafe.
Best place in the area for sure. Good healthy selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner, super friendly and helpful staff in cozy surroundings. Their smoothie bowls, juices, coffee, fresh fruits and different egg on toast combinations, were our go-to breakfast, but the quality was consistent for all the dishes we had at Oketo, lunch and dinner also. There is even a small but good selection of Balinese clothes and craft art worth a visit. To the staff: Thank you for being so helpful and kind–keep up the good work 🙏🏻

Love Oketo Cafe! The food was fresh, tasty and enjoyable. We went everyday for breakfast and coffees and were set for the day. Best coffees around. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The little homemade Batik bags and t-shirts they have for sale are fab. The atmosphere is cool and they always play awesome music - loved the Beach Boys playing! We’ll be back Oketo!!!

Oketo Cafe is a small gem in Candidasa that invites you in — and never disappoints. The interior is minimalist but full of charm, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Add to that modern, delicious cuisine and super friendly, professional staff — and you’ve got a place worth coming back to. If you're nearby, don't miss the chance to stop by for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommended!

Not the best coffee. Mixed with robusta. Prices in menu do not include tax+service. Nice view to the mountains and rice fields. Terrace should be cleaned of leaves

I highly recommend their Smoothie Bowls – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee is delicious, especially the iced cappuccino with coconut milk – a must-try. The service was excellent and the team incredibly kind and welcoming. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We had a great experience at Oketo! Great coffees, the milkshakes were an absolute winner with the kids and the food was really yummy! The staff were extremely friendly, service amazing also! Inside there is a lovely selection of clothing and other goodies. Went for a coffee, came away with a cute jumpsuit and skirt for me, shirt for my husband, earrings, incense, key rings, head bands and clips for the girls! 😂 All amazing quality! There is a bigger range a little further down the road in a separate Oketo shop also! A must visit if in the area!

Warung Lebah Sea View is a cozy, family-owned restaurant that offers delicious local cuisine and refreshing fruit juices at affordable prices. Their specialties include the mouthwatering slow-cooked chicken Tutu and the flavorful fish wrapped in banana leaf. The menu also features a variety of delectable dishes, which can be pre-ordered for the next day. The staff is friendly and helpful, even assisting with arranging reasonably priced transportation to Sanur.
We really had a great experience in this restaurant. The place is cute, few tables only, and on the beach front. We ordered the Fish in banana leaf, pork rendang, shrimps and everything was delicious. Great portions also. The price is also very reasonable. I strongly recommend!
Chloé S — Google review
Located right on the shore, easily found when you're walking along the beach. Tried pepes ikan tuna / fish in banana leaf. The pepes tasted fresh and flavorful as how pepes should be. It is served with salt and pepper on the side, fork and knife, and a small bowl of popcorn, unusual serving style for indonesian food 😅 but I understand there more international tourists than local ones in Amed. I got there about 1 hour before their closing time, the lady server was very nice and didn't rush me at all.
Olivia A — Google review
We had a great dinner at this cute little warung! We ordered barracuda with green curry and coconut poached mahi mahi and both were fantastic! The sauces were rich and flavourful and paired nicely with the fish.
Fefe H — Google review
This was my first meal in Amed, and it set the bar high. The space is basically the lady’s house porch facing the sea—an unbelievably chill experience, eating with the waves breaking just a few meters away. I ordered the fish curry. The kind woman asked about my spice tolerance (it ended up a bit mild), but it was really tasty and a generous portion. The photo doesn’t do justice to how good it was. One of the best spots I visited during my time there.
Juan C — Google review
Best local fish dish of Amed. The family chef has a beautiful touch to the local dish. I tried the coconut special. The whole black pepper seeds on there made it mental aka flavourful. Don’t expect anything fancy. Local backyard shed on the beach but good food and kind local service. I will be back to try other dishes. 5 star in comparison with other local run restaurants. Highly recommended.
Far-Zad R — Google review
Lovely restaurant directly at the sea. Wonderful seating. Im addition, there are also a couple of elevated, cosy niches for just one or two people. From the street, enter the small path via Putra‘Lebah Amed Guest House and from there, navigate to the direction of the beach. We ate there twice and were delighted with the yummy vegetarian dishes; our highlights were the tempeh satay and the tofu tempeh curry. Very friendly staff.
Lea — Google review
The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The seating area offers a lovely view of the beach, which creates a nice atmosphere. The food was average but tasty – nothing fancy, but enjoyable overall.
Petr J — Google review
The best cheese sandwich I've ever had, I even dreamed about it! I came back here many times, as the food is so good, and run by really lovely people. The juice is real juice unlike most places in the area (watery juice is fairly standard), and you get free popcorn with it. Amazing value for money too. Can be tricky to find, go down the alley next to the taxi/scooter rental stand, and it's right on the beach.

Nestled alongside the main car park, Citrus & Vine is a delightful wooden joglo café that invites you to unwind and indulge. This charming spot offers an array of treats, from artisanal gelato and freshly baked sourdough to gourmet roasted sandwiches and specialty coffee. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it perfect for people-watching or enjoying a leisurely afternoon with friends. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the attention to detail in both service and ambiance.
This cafe is a hand-shake / extension to Samanvaya's resort. The service mirrors in scale to the resorts high standards. Those standards include cleanliness, comfort, and friendly engagement. Ella was one of our hosts in our time spent here (about an hour) who ensured we were welcome. Coffee was good. Will be back for sure.

Definitely my new favorite spot in Karangasem. The place is quaint and pretty. Friendly staff. The food & beverages? I am surprise of how delicious they are. Very good quality. As someone who used to be in F&B business and a foodie, this place is definitely a gems. Thinking of going back this weekend. The sandwich is better than the ones in Jakarta. We ordered a lot because it’s just so so good.

Beautiful gelato, coffee and toastie shop in Sideman, owned and operated by Samanvaya. Another exceptional example of great design, friendly and quality customer service from all of the staff. We enjoyed the mushroom vegan toastie, and a tuna toastie, both delicious. Well made juice too, good balance of flavour.

Absolutely gorgeous little gem of a café in Sidemen! ✨ The food and drinks were amazing! We both had the chicken toastie and would highly recommend 🥰 Intan was so kind and hospitable, she honestly couldn’t have done enough for us 💛

As there’s not too much to do in Sidemen, I took myself on my own coffee tasting tour of the town. Citrus & Vine definitely wins, by a landslide. It’s such a vibe inside, and they always have a great playlist on. Also, their chocolate chip cookies…yum. Ella is so sweet and makes the best latte art!

Citrus + Vine is the cutest little coffee spot at Samanvaya, and I loved the early morning atmosphere here - calm and full of Bali magic. The coffee was great, and the tuna toastie was a standout (so good I could’ve easily ordered a second). It’s one of those places you could sit for hours journaling, chatting or just soaking in the view. Highly recommend popping in even if you’re not staying at the hotel.

Puri Oka Beach Bungalows is a laid-back beachfront hotel with casual rooms and suites, offering a pool and a restaurant/bar. The location by the sea is beautiful, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, from Club Sandwiches to authentic Indonesian cuisine. While the rooms are not very spacious, they are clean and equipped with amenities like air conditioning and refrigerators.
It is a perfect place to stay in a perfect location. The staff are amazing. Very welcoming, and nothing is a bother. One is spoilt with both a beach and a pool. Everyone is so sociable. The rooms and bathrooms are very well maintained. The restaurant overlooks the ocean with great food and service. 5 minute walk into the village.
Barbara A — Google review
The double rooms off main courtyard look good value for money but we left after 1 night (had booked 3) as the pool was dirty (couldn't see the bottom). We were travelling with children and couldn't tell them not to swim, equally can't risk them getting sick so we went elsewhere. The family room was more expensive than the double rooms and we didn't think it was good value for money as we could pay them same 1 minute walk away for a luxurious bungalow with gorgeous, clean pool. I can see why some consider it a gem, the doors and gardens are beautiful, but it really wasn't for us, it was difficult with young children and it wasn't cheap for our room.
S B — Google review
In June 2025, I stayed with two of my girlfriends. I stayed in a bungalow room and my two other friends stayed in the family room (bunk beds, two double beds in separate rooms, living room and balcony). The rooms are simple, clean, and air conditioned. The family room had one air conditioner in one room and a ceiling fan in each room. The gardens are beautiful. The pool and restaurant/bar have views of the ocean. We might have been lucky but there weren't a lot of mosquitos or none. They also have an outdoor massage area. The staff are very friendly and have excellent customer service. You can walk to the main street with shops, restaurants, spas (Aura wellness spa is great!), etc. You can request a car/driver for trips and also snorkeling via a fishing boat. My friends loved the snorkeling trip on the fishing boat for a couple of hours. Its about a 30 minute boat ride to the snorkel spot and they said they were the only ones at the location (it was the blue lagoon). It nice to have a pool and also swim in the ocean. I stayed here in 2013 with my boyfriend and it remains a lovely oceanfront place to stay.

Highly recommend this gem in Candidasa!!!!!! This beautiful hotel sits right on the beach, where you can watch the turtles play as you relax. This hotel offers the best quality/price ratio. I highly recommend, as did the other reviews that helped us decide on our stay. We stayed there for a week in March 2025 in bungalow number 2 and spent Nyepi in excellent conditions. The atmosphere is sensational. The place is beautiful both day and night. It provides pleasant spaces for reading (oh, watching the sunset while reading a good book overlooking the sea), having a massages (115K for a simple massage), doing sport or meditation, enjoying the swimming pool and the sea with direct access (a very small beach, but with the advantage of a much cleaner sea than elsewhere between Candidasa and Amlapura, despite the trash that is unfortunately not lacking in Bali). The wifi is of excellent quality. You will also find a restaurant with reasonable prices (between 60K and 85K for main courses) with a welcoming and very attentive staff. The hotel's location is perfect for enjoying a quiet setting while remaining close to an ATM, a supermarket, and walking areas like Lotus Lagoon and Bukit Guungan. Close to Amluparua, it's very easy to hire a taxi from the hotel. It's the perfect place to spend Nyepi if you're visiting in March. It's my favorite memory of Bali.

If you want something different from the typical warungs, this is your spot. I ordered the spicy ramen (don’t worry, it had just the right amount of heat) with grilled chicken—decent portion, thick and tasty broth. The only downside was that they didn’t ask me which noodle type I wanted, and they went with very, very thick ones. I usually like thicker noodles, but these were a bit too much. The space is great too, with a fancy café vibe.

By surprise, we had one of the best meals in Bali so far. A grilled Fish-steak ( Garupa) excellent flavoured with various home-made sauces for a very reasonable price! And the reason we chose this place over the others: they did not drag us in, all other places had “sharks” approaching you !

If you wanna enjoy great and super fresh fish do it here. We would say their fish is the best in Candidasa! They serve it with delicious vegetables and great spices (chilli, garlic, tomato and olives (?)). After really really amazing fish we recieved a free dessert of fresh fruit and fried bannas. You must choose this beachside cafe because everything is great. Lovely food, lovely people and comfortable loungers. Unlike other places along the beach, the loungers are free as long as you buy food from them 🤩🏝️

Interested in your money nothing else - did get French fries. I didn’t order - I was soaking wet after a heavy storm and I thought they might get some comfy food - 45k for a tiny portion afterwards I asked for a towel and they even took money for using a towel - so me a favor never go to this place

Nice place to stay for a relaxing day at the beach. Family owned with warm atmosphere. Great grilled prawns with garlic, very delicious. Best baked Banana ever.
