The VMRDA INS Kursura Submarine Museum, located on RK Beach in Visakhapatnam, is a popular tourist attraction. This museum features the INS Kurusura, a Russian-built submarine that was inducted into the Indian Navy in 1969 and decommissioned in 2001 after 31 years of service. It is the first submarine museum in Asia and the second in the world.
Must visit the spot. You can get a combo ticket which gives entry to the submarine, aircraft museum and sea harrier. They are all located in walkable distance near RK beach. Try to visit in the evening as it will be cool. There will be air conditioning throughout the tour, so no need to worry about ventilation. There will be colourful lighting for submarine from the evening which will be a good view from opposite road. There is no allocated car parking area around, but you can easily find bike parking on the pavement.

Wonderful experience of a lifetime. U get to experience the real view inside a marine lifestyle of submarine. The narrow spaces, multiple wires, switches, a treat to the eyes. Shows us how much struggle the navy goes through to protect us. Simply incredible. No photography inside the museum. Only disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning , except in compartment 1. Ticket price per head, 100/- A must must visit at vizag

Located right at Ramakrishna Beach (RK Beach), this place has a total of four war-related museums — INS Kursura Submarine Museum, TU-142 Aircraft Museum, Sea Harrier Museum, and UH-3H Helicopter Museum. If you plan to visit all four at once, the combined ticket is ₹200 per person. However, if you visit them individually, the ticket price is ₹100 per person per museum. Among all, the INS Kursura Submarine Museum is a must-visit once in a lifetime. It gives you a real glimpse into the tough life of our naval officers inside a submarine — how they live, work, and protect us deep under the sea during naval missions. I’ve uploaded a few inside pictures to give you an idea, but honestly, seeing it in person is a completely different experience — something you won’t find anywhere else. Just outside the museum gate, there’s a souvenir shop where you can buy small gifts and mementos to remember your visit. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Vizag or RK Beach! 🇮🇳⚓

As a Mechanical Engineer, visiting the VMRDA Kursura Submarine Museum in Visakhapatnam was truly one of the most fascinating and inspiring experiences of my life. It’s not just a museum — it’s a living monument of engineering brilliance, naval courage, and Indian innovation that operated during an era when advanced electronics and digital automation were not yet developed. Everything inside this submarine runs purely on mechanical and manual systems, and that alone is enough to amaze anyone who loves machines and real-world engineering. The moment I stepped inside the submarine, I felt as if I had travelled back in time. The narrow corridors, control panels, and precisely arranged valves, levers, and gauges all tell a story of sheer human skill and endurance. Every inch of the Kursura showcases the dedication of Indian Navy officers who operated it with precision and bravery, defending our coastline under extreme conditions. It gave me a real sense of the challenges our naval heroes faced — limited space, high pressure, mechanical complexity, and the constant responsibility of keeping the submarine functional deep under the sea. From an engineering point of view, the Kursura is nothing short of a masterpiece. The way mechanical linkages, pressure systems, and propulsion units were integrated decades ago — all without modern sensors or computer controls — left me speechless. The attention to detail in the design reflects the intelligence and creativity of engineers of that generation. Even today, many of the internal systems are preserved in near-working condition, giving visitors a rare chance to see how things actually functioned when the submarine was active. Learning that the submarine was given a voluntary retirement after serving the nation for many years made me respect it even more. It wasn’t decommissioned due to failure, but because technology advanced and newer submarines with digital systems took over. Still, Kursura remains a symbol of mechanical engineering excellence and continues to educate thousands of visitors every year about how powerful and reliable purely mechanical systems can be. The museum staff and guides deserve appreciation too — they explain every section clearly and ensure that visitors understand the importance of each control room, torpedo section, and engine bay. Standing inside the engine room, hearing about how the diesel engines worked and how oxygen and pressure were maintained underwater, made me feel proud to be an engineer. It truly connects theory with reality — from thermodynamics to fluid mechanics, everything is right there in front of your eyes. I strongly recommend every student, engineer, and patriotic Indian to visit the Kursura Submarine Museum at least once. It’s not just about seeing an old naval vessel — it’s about experiencing the blend of science, courage, and history that shaped our defense capabilities. The Kursura is not only a war hero but also a museum of inspiration, reminding us that great things can be achieved with determination, teamwork, and innovative engineering. 🇮🇳

The proudest and most iconic reminder of Visakhapatnam's history as the HQ of the Indian Navy's Eastern Command, the Submarine Museum in Vizag, also known as INS Kursura Submarine Museum, is a must visit, one of a kind tourist attraction in the City. It's housed in a decommissioned Kaveri Class Soviet-built submarine, INS Kursura, which was decommissioned in 2001 after having served the Indian Navy for 31 years. The museum provides an immersive experience, offering insights into life inside a submarine and the complexities of underwater warfare. On display are various sections of a submarine, including the control room, torpedo room, crew quarters, the radar room and the engine room.

It's a marvelous machine to admire from outside and inside but it was too suffocating with no AC or fresh air to stay inside. I had to walk out immediately. Normally small batches are allowed inside but due to the arrival of some random minister's son the place was closed for visitors.
Mallika J — Google review
Visited on a Sunday evening, so it was a little crowded. Tickets are Rs. 100 for adults and Rs. 60 for a mobile / cam and can be bought at the gate. A few other museums are nearby and a combo ticket is also available for Rs. 200. I feel the interiors should have been a little more ventilated for comfortable viewing. It is an engineering showpiece, well captioned to showcase life in a submarine. Must appreciate the tough life underwater for our Navy personnel. Salute! Jai Hind!!!

Nestled in the vibrant city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Mrs. A.V.N. College boasts a rich history that dates back to its inception as The Anglo Vernacular School in the 1860s. This esteemed institution has been a nurturing ground for numerous distinguished personalities, including Nobel laureate Sir C.V. Raman and other notable figures like Sri B.S. Sarma and Prof. C.R. Rao, who have left an indelible mark on various fields.
I was very happy today to visit Mrs AVN college this morning. I thank the Principal sir, as he gave me permission to take pictures of the college premises. My brothers studied here, and I wrote my intermediate exams here. The college has a great history with eminent leaders who studied in this college and served our country. Example Alluri Seetha Rama Raju freedom fighter and the first President of India , Dr. Rajendra Prasad.Dr. CV Raman was also a student of this college. I appreciate the cleanliness of the college and the campus maintained very well. The college has a young and dynamic principal, who is responsible for the cleanliness of the college and the campus. He was very kind and hospitable and spoke very well and was happy to see the old students in the campus. The building was well maintained and brought back excellent memories. I still remember the majestic arches and the classrooms, very big, spacious, with huge windows for light and fresh air. I thank God for giving me this opportunity to visit such an esteemed college. Thank you principal sir, once again.

King George Hospital (KGH) has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Vizag since its establishment in 1923. This esteemed government hospital, affiliated with the Andhra Medical College, boasts state-of-the-art facilities including a Nuclear Medicine block and Dialysis Unit. The main building is an architectural gem dating back to 1845, set on a sprawling 35-acre site generously donated by the Budhavarapu family.
Very bad treatment. My dad got heart attack and we admitted in KGh. They gave tablets which was not supportive to my dad’s body and he got stroke twice. They only concentrate on money not on health. Even the doctor’s didn’t give proper response. Never ever trust this hospital or doctors. I really appreciate all the doctors and nursing staff for their commitment. The services that I receive from them is excellent. Doctors and staff are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. Great experience from start to finish. Doctors taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options. I would recommend this Hospital to anyone seeking answers to better their health and do so in a very personalized way.

King George hospital (KGH) is a government hospital which is the main and major hospital for three districts like Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram Srikakulam. It has a long history and which was built in the British ruling time. Recently I visited the op gate for my relatives. I would like to share my experience with you all. Two years back when I visited they gave nice treatment but unfortunately when I visited the op dept(op gate) recently , I observed a lot of delay while giving treatment to the patient. We can see mostly junior doctors/trainees from AP medical college on the floor of op department while giving treatment. It's very hard to find senior doctors on the floor especially on the weekends. Due to lack of experience and knowledge junior doctors take a lot of time for decision making to give what kind of treatment to patient. If there is a senior doctor on the floor, all junior doctors are following them and leaving some of the patients. Some of the patients come for general and normal problems but jr. Doctors unable to tell where to go. They simply say sit on the bed and we'll come and see. Even after an hour also they said give us sometime, we'll come. Coming to the lab and report related, jr.doctor not sure exactly what is the problem . At the time these doctors sending the images/reports through WhatsApp and asking the decision. Then senior doctors sending medical description and suggestions what to do. Then jr.doctors convey the same thing to patients. Here I have seen some doctors, crossing their limits and giving lectures to the patients. Even they call other doctors in a disrespectful manner in front of patients. Doctors prescribed medicine like 10 different tablets, out of 10 only 8 tablets giving in the medicine counters. Expensive tablets, staff asking us to buy outside. This is a government hospital they should provide free of cost. My humble request to Government, Please looks into these issues. It could be better if you improve the hospitality and how doctors are given the treatment.

Thank you.

I never thought that I would see such rubbish in such a good hospital. I really trusted you. You did a great job. You didn't even bother to take care of the patient. Even when they said it was an emergency, the doctors didn't even come to see it. So you are a doctor and do anything for him. The big guys will see it when they come. Why talk politics even with your life?
Raju S — Google review
I rate 4 starts based on one person DR.HIMANSHU . My son fell from 1st floor and left unconscious and we rushed to a nearby hospital. Later, shifted to KGH and they did all the required test till midnight. In the morning doctor informed us there is an internal bleed in brain and kept for 48 hrs observation. Unfortunately the bleed is persistent after two days which is heartbreaking news to us. After the surgery he recovered gradually and I appreciate the way Dr.Himanshu cared my 9 year old son and his expertise in surgery is fabulous. I want to admire Dr.Ravi garu HOD NEUROSURGERY on his professional leadership of his team. Cons - 1. The hospital needs drastic improvement in hygiene. 2. The lower grade employees prominently male always demands money and saddest part it post surgery the OT female nurses asked(not demanded) me for a hefty amount tip(bribe). Conclusion - KGH is a boon to the middle class who can't afford the corporate hospitals and who have no support from government schemes. I salute to this 180 year old monument KGH🏥.

Very Old Hospital made by British Govt. in 1878, this hospital is one of the oldest hospital in Vizag City but need to more neat and clean, its unhygienic washrooms, the waste products of hopital was not through into the dustbins, the syringe, neediles, injections are throw inside the hospital, the staff behaviour are aslo not good..its very pathetic for those who came from long distances for their treatment.overall its free of cost and free medicine also avilable here,if the doctor prescribed you 10 medicine then you will get only 6-7 out of 10 and other medicines you have to buy from outside.

Historical landmark
Bavikonda Ancient Buddhist Monastery, situated near Visakhapatnam, is an important historical site dating back to the 3rd century BCE. The name Bavikonda, meaning Hill of Wells, originates from the numerous wells on the hill used for collecting rainwater. This archaeological site boasts various artifacts such as Roman and Satavahana coins, pottery dating back to 3rd century BC and 2nd Century AD.
Buddhism is one of the oldest religions in the world, originating about a thousand years ago. Lord Buddha, the founder of the religion, believed in peace and prosperity which were essentially the principles of the religion. Birthing in India, the remnants of the religion’s glorious past still exists and one of these is the Bavikonda Ancient Buddhist Monastery.

Can you believe they built 2 interpretation centers on this hill for this now abandoned tourism site! Even the Qutub shah heritage park in Hyderabad spread out over several acres has only one heritage center and it is much much smaller. why do they need two buildings on this hill? It is not even on the beach road! they pocketed public funds with help from the builder. The ultimate joke is now the centers have turned in to bigger ruins than the original Buddhist excavations on this hill.
Raviv — Google review
A must-visit for history lovers. The road leading to the site (which is atop a hill) was full of vegetation (huge tree branches …) narrowing the path significantly — definitely in need of some maintenance. There’s some space to park your vehicle just outside the site’s entrance. The site, per se, is a marvel of those days! Those familiar with Buddhism and history would be able to appreciate it in its entirety. However, the site needs upkeep — more information boards, proper gates, and personnel. I spotted a few visitors walking on the ancient structures; although I asked them not to, there’s clearly a need for security personnel. Thotlakonda, on the other hand, was very well maintained. Hope the Archaeology Department steps in.

This monument is closed. Bavikonda is under the Andhra Pradesh Archeology Department after 10 years of excavation and restoration to bring it alive now they have abandoned it and it is going back to its 1977 ruins it is shameful. We should be grateful that at least some of the monuments in this state are under the management of ASI like Bojjannakonda and Lingalakonda, Salihundam etc they do a superb job of preserving them, it is a joy to visit the sites managed by them makes you proud you are an Indian.

Poor maintenance. It's grass all over and all name plates rusted and nothing to read when I visited (Saturday, 18th January 2025). There are half a dozen visitors at the site, disappointed at the state of affairs. Goat grazing is active and they are plenty there.

Nestled near the beach, Kurupam Tomb is a century-old monument that pays tribute to the young Rani of Kurupam. Commissioned by her husband, Rajah Vairicherla Veerabhadra Raju, this tomb beautifully marries various architectural styles, including sikara and dome elements. The intricate sandstone carvings reflect a rich tapestry of Dravidian, Mughal, European, and North Indian influences.

Outdoor Activities
Ramakrishna Beach, also known as RK Beach, is a popular destination in Visakhapatnam for both locals and tourists. It offers a stretch of sandy shore with rough waves and rock formations, making it ideal for walkers and sunbathers. The beach comes alive during sunset with street food vendors, small shops, and visitors gathering to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Located near the Kali Mata temple, it is part of the city's bustling seafront area.
I recently visited RK Beach in Vizag with my family, and it was truly an amazing experience! We went there around 9 PM and ended up staying until 1:30 in the morning — that’s how beautiful and peaceful the place was. Time just flew by without us even realizing it. The night view of the beach was simply fantastic. The sound of the sea waves, the cool breeze, and the reflection of the moon on the water created a magical atmosphere. It was a perfect night for relaxation and quality family time. There were many other families there too, enjoying the calm and safe environment. My kids had a great time playing on the sand and watching the waves. The beach was lively but not too crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. One of the best things was that even at night, there were small stalls available for snacks, tea, and coffee — perfect for keeping warm and refreshed. Overall, it was a memorable night by the sea. RK Beach is definitely a must-visit spot in Vizag, especially if you want to spend peaceful, happy moments with your loved ones. We’re already planning to come back again soon!
Satya V — Google review
Highlight of Vizag. The beautiful beach, well maintained and happening. Visitors can simply go to the beach, sit on the seats and enjoy the view. The port can also be seen on the right hand side. There are plenty hotels, restaurants, cafes and street food options. Perfect family weekend outing spot also. A must visit place.
Suxant — Google review
Ramakrishna Beach to use Gen Z parlance is the most "happening" place in Vizag with something for everyone. Stunning views of the Bay of Bengal, golden sands, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets if you are a nature lover. There are also patches of beach shaded by coconut trees called Coco Arenas, ideal spots to relax by the beach. For history buffs there are four museums dedicated to the rich history of Visakhapatnam as the HQ of the Eastern Naval Command. The INS Kursura a museum housed in a decommissioned submarine which gives glimpses of life inside a submarine. TU 142 Museum showcases the history of Naval Aviation and features a well preserved TU 142 aircraft. The Sea Harrier Museum and White Tiger Zone showcase the history of the Sea Harrier aircraft a British built fighter jet capable of vertical lift off and landing, deployed in the 1980's. UH3H Museum is the latest addition showcasing the legacy of the UH3H Helicopter first deployed by the Indian Navy in 2007. The Museum features an actual helicopter allowing visitors to explore the interior of the aircraft. Evenings become a hive of activity when crowds throng the beaches and vendors occupy every available nook or corner selling from authentic local gourmet delights to innumerable knick knacks.

A Review of RK Beach, Visakhapatnam RK Beach, or Ramakrishna Beach, is widely considered the heart of Visakhapatnam's coastal experience. It's a bustling stretch that offers more than just sand and sea, serving as a social hub for both locals and tourists. The main attraction is the lively atmosphere and the scenic beauty, particularly at sunrise and sunset, when the cool sea breeze is most refreshing. The well-maintained beach road is ideal for a leisurely stroll or a morning walk, though some side pavements can be dirtier due to dog waste and scattered rubbish. Evenings see the area transform into a vibrant, crowded spot with numerous street food vendors selling local delicacies like 'Muri mixture', alongside options for camel and horse rides. The beach is a cultural and historical point, with key attractions directly on its shores, including the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, the TU-142 Aircraft Museum, and the beautiful Kali Temple. These nearby sites make it a convenient and engaging destination for families and history enthusiasts. However, the sea itself is generally rough and rocky, making it unsuitable and unsafe for swimming. Visitors should exercise caution and avoid venturing into the water due to sudden slopes and strong waves. Additionally, some visitors report localized issues with drainage water discharge, which can cause foul smells in certain spots. Overall, RK Beach is a must-visit for its lively vibe, excellent nearby attractions, and beautiful views, but it's best enjoyed from the promenade rather than for a swim.

Victory At Sea War Memorial is a seaside park located on Beach Road, dedicated to the Indian naval victory in 1971. It was opened in 1996 to honor the brave navy soldiers who were martyrs in the India-Pakistan war. The memorial commemorates the successful defense of INS Vikrant from a Pakistani submarine attack, which led to India's victory and the creation of Bangladesh.
Tall & impressive, this war monument reminds you of the glories of the Indian Navy during the 1971 war. A telling tribute to our brave soldiers. Can be visited along with various other attractions as it just takes few minutes. Overseas the RK beach and provides good views of the sea.

The Victory at Sea Memorial in Vizag is a compact, poignant, and thoughtfully located tribute to the Indian Navy and the sacrifices of naval personnel during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. It’s not a full, detailed museum — but as an outdoor memorial, it does a good job of combining solemn remembrance with scenic waterfront ambiance, making it well-suited for short visits, personal reflection, or as part of a broader beach road walk. If you’re traveling in Visakhapatnam, especially along Beach Road, the Victory at Sea Memorial is a worthy stop: not just for its historical resonance, but also for the peaceful, contemplative space it provides next to the sea. It pairs particularly well with visits to the Ramakrishna Beach and the INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, turning the walk into both a tour and a moment of remembering the naval heritage of the city.

**TU 142 Aircraft Museum – Family Visit 🥰🥰🥰** During our recent trip to Visakhapatnam, we visited the TU 142 Aircraft Museum located near RK Beach, close to the HPCL Colony. It was an exciting and educational experience for our whole family. The museum is centered around the decommissioned TU 142M aircraft, a long-range maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare aircraft used by the Indian Navy. The aircraft, now on display, has been beautifully preserved. We were amazed by its massive size and advanced features for its time. Inside the museum, there are several informative exhibits about the aircraft’s history, its role in Indian defense, and the technology used. The children especially enjoyed the interactive screens and videos that explained how the aircraft operated. The museum is well-maintained, with clean surroundings and helpful staff. We also appreciated the neatly arranged photo gallery and the short documentary that gave us more insights into naval aviation. Overall, it was a fun and educational outing for all of us. The visit gave us a sense of pride in our nation’s defense achievements. We highly recommend the TU 142 Museum to families visiting Vizag – it's a great combination of learning and enjoyment.👌👍🤝🤝🤝🥰

Great museum, the entrance with the long curved room with different sections is really interesting, it has all sorts of things like memorials for pilots, a lifeboat, an engine and more cool things. The tu142 itself is also preserved very well, I just wish the flight deck was not chained off.

In March, I had the pleasure of visiting the 142 Aircraft Museum in Visakhapatnam with a friend, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Located right along the beautiful RK Beach and near the iconic INS Kurusura Submarine Museum, the aircraft museum offers a fascinating glimpse into Indian Naval aviation history. The highlight of the museum is the HAL Tupolev Tu-142M aircraft, which served the Indian Navy for nearly three decades. Standing tall and majestic, the aircraft’s sheer size is impressive and commands attention. Inside the museum, we got to explore the aircraft's interior, including its cockpit, radar systems, and sonar room, all of which are preserved to reflect its operational condition. The exhibits and displays were informative and well-organized, with plenty of background on the aircraft’s missions, technology, and history. What made the visit even more exciting was the proximity to the submarine museum, offering a rare chance to explore both naval air and underwater defense technology at one location. The setting by the beach added to the charm, making it perfect for a relaxed yet educational outing. The staff was helpful, and the entry process was smooth. I’d highly recommend the 142 Aircraft Museum to anyone visiting Vizag—whether you’re an aviation enthusiast, history buff, or just looking for a unique experience by the sea. It’s a tribute to India’s naval legacy and a proud piece of maritime history.

Thotlakonda Buddhist Monastery is a historical site located on a hillock 15 km from the main city of Vizag. The complex holds cultural significance and features rock-cut inscriptions. Its proximity to the sea and sub-tropical climate made it an ideal location for monks to build the monastery.
Very peaceful, not a lot of crowd. Well maintained space. Route is scenic and the guard was helpful and explained the history of the place. Original stupa was lost and restored later, but the layout of the place remains and was a nice experience to witness the beauty of this place. You can see the sea from here too.
Anshika P — Google review
I really enjoyed the thotlakonda monastery ruins. Free entrance although you need to pay some charges while entering the road which leads to this. The signboards are quite informative and the place is free from guides. So you can just explore the beautiful and peaceful place on your own, the little signboards provide enough information to enjoy the place. The signboard outside gives a brief history of the place as well. Easily can covered in half an hour as the place is not very big.
Chhanda B — Google review
The site is ancient (active around 200 BC to 200 AD) and people enjoy seeing the ruins of stupas, viharas, meditation halls, cisterns. Calm and historic place. The monastery ruins are worth exploring and give a glimpse of Buddhist culture. However, there are very few facilities — no water, shade, or food stalls nearby. Carry your own essentials if visiting in summer.”

Beautiful view of the sea, serene quiet place although you will many couples it shouldn't bother as long as you are enjoying your own space and the view. There is a restaurant which serves snacks and tea. Another thing to note is it closes at 5.30pm and entry fee was 30 rupees(although maybe for car).

This monastery is used by monks in 200BC. There is no special entry ticket, there will be a guide at the entrance who will explain the history and details of the place. You can give him a fee as per your wish. One should go up the ghat road to reach here. There is a small park nearby with a great view, definitely visit it on your way back. There is no special parking area, but there is a decent open area where you can park your vehicle. There is an entry fee for the vehicle at the entrance of the hill.

The park there has a nice view of the beach, but the ancient part isn’t that interesting. However, for people who like history and enjoy visiting historical places, this place would be a good choice.

What a marvel from 2,000 years ago! Must visit for history lovers. Absolute peace and bliss! The ghat road leading to the monastery site (atop a hill) is well maintained but has a small entry charge at the main gate. There’s some space to park vehicles up the hill, just beside the monument site. The cluster of monuments has been very well maintained by the Archaeology Department. The plaque at the entry informs that the Indian Navy spotted this site in the 1970s while on the lookout for a suitable naval base, and its discovery has improved the understanding of Buddhism in the Eastern Ghats region. There weren’t any guides, although the security personnel offered some information. The site is pretty self-explanatory for those familiar with history and Buddhism, but I would love to see some more curated digital media guides that could help other tourists.

An ancient Buddhist Monastery used to be here several centuries back and only some reminiscences of this monastery can be seen now here. This is under Archeological and Museums Dept of AP Govt. Perched on a hillside in Visakhapatnam, Ross Hill Church offers stunning views of the sea and port. This popular tourist spot is known for its beautiful white exterior and attracts both religious followers and tourists alike due to its impressive architecture. Visitors can explore the church's interior and attend prayers, making it a must-visit destination in Andhra Pradesh.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rose Hill Church is hands-down one of the most breathtaking spots in the city! 🌊⛪ Sitting high on the hill, the church itself is peaceful and charming, but the real magic begins when you step outside and look at the view. The entire coastline opens up in front of you — you can literally watch huge cargo ships, cruise liners, and even naval vessels passing by. If you’re lucky, you might catch a submarine surfacing or a naval practice session happening right in the ocean below. It feels like a live maritime show! 🚢⚓ The place is super calm, with a refreshing sea breeze and plenty of open space to just sit, relax, and take it all in. It’s perfect for photography, quiet reflection, or just watching the world (and ships!) go by. Early mornings and evenings are the best time to visit — the light makes everything look golden and magical. 🌅 Whether you’re a tourist or a local, Rose Hill Church is a must-visit if you love scenic views, history, and the ocean. Highly recommended! 👍

Ross Hill Church, perched high above Visakhapatnam’s harbor, is more than just a religious site—it's a serene retreat with one of the best views in the city. The church itself is modest but well-kept, offering a calm and quiet atmosphere perfect for reflection or a moment of silence. What sets this spot apart is the stunning vantage point. From the church grounds, you can look out over the port, city skyline, and coastline. It’s especially beautiful at sunset, when the light spills over the hills and sea. The journey up the hill, though a bit steep, is worth every step for the peaceful environment and the views.
SP S — Google review
Rose Hill Church is a serene and picturesque destination located at the top of a hill, offering a peaceful escape from the daily hustle. The uphill walk takes around 10 minutes and is fairly manageable, though a bit of a workout. For those who prefer a more comfortable ascent, autos are readily available at the base of the hill, and you can also drive up with your own vehicle. The view from the top is absolutely stunning — a panoramic sweep of the surrounding area that makes the climb worthwhile. What makes this spot even more special is the presence of not just the church, but also a mosque and a shrine nearby, all coexisting peacefully on the same hill. It adds a unique spiritual and cultural charm to the place. Whether you’re looking to spend some quiet time in reflection, take in the view, or just enjoy a peaceful walk, Rose Hill Church is a great spot to unwind. Highly recommended for a relaxing outing.

I had a peaceful and uplifting experience at Rose Hills Church in Visakhapatnam. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the church is beautifully maintained. The sermons are heartfelt and meaningful, creating a strong sense of connection and faith. It’s a wonderful place for prayer and reflection. A bit more seating space or parking improvement would make it perfect!

A peaceful, scenic gem built around 120 years ago. A wonderful place to visit—see temple, mosque, and church within a frame, and take in sweeping views of the port, ships, and city. Visit early morning or around sunset for the best light and cooler weather.Drive up if possible—vehicles can reach the top, avoiding a steep climb.
Alam S — Google review
Perched atop Ross Hill overlooking the bustling city of Visakhapatnam and its harbour is the Visakapuri Mary Matha Shrine dedicated to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart or known simply as the Ross Hill Church, an oasis of tranquility and spirituality. The history of the Church dates back to 1866 when a chapel was built by the Vicar General of the time, followed by the installation of the Statue of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in 1877. The church has undergone renovation and reconstruction over time. The present Church is itself over a 100 years old. Ross Hill is a remarkable example of religious harmony with a shrine dedicated to the Muslim saint Baba Ishq Madina which is over 700 years old. The Shri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is a 17th century temple whose presiding deity is Lord Vishnu, built by an European Captain as a thanksgiving after a miraculous intervention of the divine.

Jagadamba Theatre is an iconic landmark in Vizag, offering an exclusive and nostalgic cinematic experience. With a towering 70mm curved screen and mesmerizing Dolby Atmos surround sound, it promises an immersive visual feast. Boasting top-notch sound quality and three screens, including a large curved one, the theatre provides a captivating atmosphere for moviegoers. Additionally, it offers competitive prices for food and snacks, ample parking space, comfortable seating, and well-maintained facilities.
The Legendary and one of the oldest theatre in Visakhapatnam. Good sounding experience (Dolby Atmos). Seating is good. Screen size is big and you can enjoy 4K also. Washrooms are well maintained. Parking is bit difficult, but ok. Overall we can have good experience while watching movie. Highly recommended theatre. 👍
Yerneni K — Google review
Best theatre in vizag! No other theatre can come even close! True 4k picture clarity and true dolby atmos. Theatre had best bass as well! So many memories with this theatre! Completed mission impossible series by watching finale in this amazing theatre!
Hilarious H — Google review
Jagadamba Theatre remains a cultural icon of Visakhapatnam—a cinematic landmark with unmatched nostalgia. If you're chasing top-tier Dolby Atmos audio or pristine multiplex ambiance, places like Melody or Sri Rama may be preferable . However, for those looking to relive the grand single-screen experience in Vizag—with excellent projection and storied legacy—Jagadamba still holds a special place.
Pinninti R — Google review
This theater is a well-known 70mm venue in the city, and since the upgrade to laser projection, the picture clarity has been outstanding. The visuals are sharp, crisp, and even 3D films look bright and immersive. When it comes to sound, the theater used to have the best 7.1 channel audio system before upgrading to Dolby Atmos. With Atmos now updraded , the sound experience has become even more powerful. The seating is also quite comfortable. However, I do have one problem with this theater. I’ve watched many Hollywood movies here, and earlier, they were screened in English with the original 7-channel digital sound. But now, after the sound upgrade, most Hollywood films are being shown only in Telugu dubbed versions, which often come with a downgraded 5-channel DCP. This affects the audio quality and overall movie experience, not just for me, but for many others who love experiencing movies. I sincerely request the management to consider scheduling at least one show in English for Hollywood releases. The original versions almost always come with either Atmos or a 7-channel DCP, and I believe this would enhance the movie watching experience. Thank you!
RAVI P — Google review
One of the oldest theatres of Visakhapatnam. It hosts a large 70mm screen and a great relief to watch movies from the multiplex ridden small screen wonders. The management has renovated the theatres to host updated seats (however, many feel the super soft and over stuffed seats aren't great comfort). This theatres has good sound system and sharp projector. It is always good experience watching movies here on large screen. The cinema complex does have two smaller screen theatres as well though (Sarada and Ramadevi).
ELVee ( — Google review
Jabadamba 4K Dolby Theatre is truly one of the best cinema experiences in town. The picture quality is crystal clear with 4K projection, making every scene come alive with stunning visuals. The Dolby sound system is powerful and immersive, giving a theater-like feel that enhances every movie moment. Seating is very comfortable, with good spacing and perfect viewing angles from every row. The ambiance is modern, clean, and well-maintained, creating the right atmosphere for movie lovers. Staff are courteous, and the ticket pricing is reasonable for the premium experience offered. Overall, Jabadamba 4K Dolby Theatre is the perfect destination for an enjoyable and unforgettable movie experience with family and friends!

Jagadamba Theatre in Vizag is a pretty old theater, but the sound system is really good. It has Dolby Atmos, so the movie experience is awesome. The screen is huge and the picture quality is 4K, which makes watching movies really immersive. Plus, the ticket prices are reasonable compared to other theaters.

Even during busy periods, the mall manages to maintain a sense of order. Furthermore, the convenience of accessibility to CMR Central in Gajuwaka is a significant advantage. Its location makes it easily reachable for residents in and around the area. It's truly a testament to a well-designed and well-managed mall that caters effectively to the needs of the community.

Prashant K — Google review
The mall is very small and congested, with a difficult turn for cars while entering the basement parking. The parking is chargeable at Rs. 40, where they issue a ticket at the entrance and collect it back at the exit, seemingly to avoid showing it to the government. They collect the parking fee even though we are visiting CMR and already willing to spend money there, which feels unfair. The food in the open food court is neither good nor hygienic, making the visit not worthwhile. I don’t intend to criticize anyone personally; I am only sharing my experience.

it is very near to gajuwaka old traffic signal. Shopping mall had large complex comprises stores, restaurants often Inox and other businesses establishments inside the mall and they have maintained well and very tidy and gaming zone(tiny space not expecting huge) also available here for especially kids, and restaurants like eaters shop and KFC also inside the mall. Here they also collected parking fee 20rs for bike and mall outside also parking available even for outside also they have collected 5 rs, escalator and lift facility also available here along with steps while coming to food rates are expensive and over all for spending time mall is ok

I recently visited CMR Central Mall gajuwaka and found the overall experience to be below expectations. The place felt very congested, with narrow walkways and limited open space, making it uncomfortable during peak hours. There are not many branded outlets available, When compared to CMR Central in Maddilapalem, this mall clearly lacks both standards and variety. Maddilapalem’s mall feels more spacious, better organized, and offers a much wider range of branded outlets. It's surprising to see such a huge difference between two malls run by the same group.

Honestly i am quite surprised for the top notch quality & support provided from the start to end of my house project. One of the best thing is the quick response we get when we stuck at a certain point be it cost effective interiors and planning, customer approach, constructive explanation on the designs provided etc.., Since this is an emerging company , people are unaware of its quality and if you are reading this consider yourself lucky and go for it. Yes there are some well known companies in this field too ,but trust me this saves a hell lot of money & time. You need to have a call with this company before you choose your decision ,only then you know the difference between money eating so called white collar brand companies and the newly emerging honest quality company like this. I am not any paid reviewer ,just a customer who is writing his heart ,out of satisfaction with the cost efficiency and the designs provided. If you are planning something to build anything, you have a call and can blindly go for it at your affordable prices.
