Local history museum
The Atomium, a colossal stainless steel structure in Brussels, was the centerpiece of the 1958 Worlds Fair. It symbolizes peace, progress, and an optimistic vision of the future. The design is based on the elemental structure of iron and represents a shift towards using atomic energy for positive purposes. Initially intended as a temporary installation, it captured the hearts of Belgians and has become one of Brussels' most renowned attractions.
The Atomium is, without a doubt, one of the most stunning and unique pieces of architecture in Europe. Even getting to the site in Brussels, the massive, gleaming structure—a representation of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times—is absolutely breathtaking. For that external view alone, the trip is entirely worth it. Taking the elevator up the central axis to the top sphere is a thrilling experience, and the panoramic views from 92 meters up offer a fantastic perspective over the city and the surrounding Heysel area. However, the overall experience inside the spheres was very different from what I had anticipated. I went in expecting a straightforward science museum, perhaps a deep dive into atomic structure and the history of the 1958 World Expo it was built for. While there is a permanent exhibition dedicated to Expo 58, which is genuinely interesting for history buffs, the rest of the tour felt like a delightful, if slightly jarring, contrast. Moving between the spheres via those long, tunnel-like escalators—which are a spectacular sight themselves, illuminated with dancing colored lights—felt less like moving through a museum and more like exploring a futuristic spaceship. One sphere, in particular, was home to a completely immersive, psychedelic digital art installation. It was loud, pulsing with light, and utterly captivating, turning the space into something like a high-tech art gallery rather than a historical exhibit. In the end, I'd say the Atomium is a good visit, but be prepared for an unexpected journey. You go for the iconic, monumental architecture and stay for the strange, often trippy, contemporary art installations hidden inside. It’s a wonderful landmark, just a wonderfully strange museum.

It's a sculptural genius, we had been there just to view it in the evening and walked around in the park nearby. The ambiance is calm and cosy, definitely recommended to visit with friends and family.
Mohsin I — Google review
If you’ve never been to the Atomium, it’s absolutely worth a visit—especially if you enjoy unique architecture and panoramic city views. As one of Brussels’ most iconic landmarks, the Atomium blends retro-futuristic design with a sense of playful wonder, making it stand out from more traditional European attractions. Even just approaching the structure is impressive: the massive, reflective spheres rising above the surrounding park have a surreal, almost sci-fi presence that immediately captures your attention. The real highlight, though, is the view from the top sphere. On a clear, sunny day, the outlook over Brussels is genuinely stunning. The city stretches out in every direction, and the sunlight reflecting off the metal surfaces adds a bright, almost cheerful atmosphere to the entire experience. It’s definitely the kind of place where the weather can make a big difference, so visiting on a day with good visibility is ideal. That said, the Atomium becomes truly magical at sunset. As the sky shifts from gold to deep blue, the structure’s lights begin to glow, giving the entire monument a soft, dreamlike quality. Watching the city transition into evening from up high is a moment that feels both peaceful and memorable. Whether you're a photographer, a casual tourist, or someone who simply enjoys a beautiful view, sunset at the Atomium is something special. Overall, the Atomium is a unique blend of history, design, and atmosphere—well worth the trip if you haven’t been before.
RR C — Google review
Spectacular structure. They take you to the top level by elevator where you have a panoramic view of the city. Then you work your way down each atom. In one of the atom, they have light and sound show which is very cool. Finally you come back to the lobby level and gift shop. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommend it when in Brussels. It’s conveniently located close to a train station so you can reach it from any location in the city.
Shahbaz S — Google review
Visiting the Atomium in Brussels was one of those iconic “we have to do it” moments and I’m glad we did! We went on a Sunday without pre-booked tickets, and thankfully it wasn’t an issue. We waited about 15 minutes to purchase tickets and begin the experience. Just a heads-up: the visit is split into two parts, and you’ll receive two separate tickets per person. The first part of the tour takes you up a series of escalators and stairs through the spheres, where you can learn about the history and construction of the Atomium. Most of the informational signs were in French, so we moved through this part fairly quickly, admiring the architecture more than the displays. At the end, you’re guided through the gift shop and outside — which felt a bit confusing, because you then need to rejoin the crowds to continue on to Part 2. The second part involves queuing again inside the building — about 20 minutes for us — before taking the futuristic elevator to the top sphere. The view from above is definitely the highlight, especially if you love snapping photos and videos. There’s also a restaurant at the top, and free restrooms (a lifesaver after all that waiting and cold weather!), but we didn’t have the chance to dine there since we were catching a flight later that day. Once you’re done enjoying the panorama, there’s one more line for the elevator back down — so yes, a bit of a queue-athon overall. 😅 In the end, it was a good experience and I’m happy we visited — the Atomium is unique, quirky, and a standout piece of Brussels history. That said, the flow of the tours could definitely be improved to reduce all the waiting. If you’re planning to visit, be prepared for lines and maybe book ahead if you can, but the views certainly make the effort worthwhile!
Vadym — Google review
This is a very fun and interactive activity for travelers of all ages. There are concurrent and subsequent additional places like other museums that you can attend while here to include “LITTLE EUROPE AS PICTURED”. This place is perfect for gathering souvenirs as well as picture taking which is professionally available and opted to you at the ending of the activity. We did not get to frequent the restaurant at the top due to them only having one section of the restaurant open at the time; however, other reviewers have stated the food is not good.
B. F — Google review
Getting a ticket online is recommended, as the venue can get quite busy. The presentation collection is impressive, but the view is hidden by coloured glass. However, the breathtaking and impressive stairs with the light show are worth the wait.
Eva N — Google review
Beautiful tourist destination is Brussels, Belgium. There was a steady line of tourists enjoying the beauty of this modernist building. It is an important landmark in Brussels. It was originally constructed as the center piece of the 1958 Brussels Expo. Now it is a museum and an art center. When one stands under it one is likely to marvel at the huge symmetrical structure. The huge globes are interconnected symmetrically giving the building the shape of an atomic structure. Atomium is built in a very beautiful location, surrounded by fine gardens and a nice row of trees.

From London's Big Ben to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, visitors can explore 350 models and sites showcasing Europe's architectural wonders. A great place to visit with kids! There are plenty of little fun activities to keep them entertained, and it’s also an educational experience. You can learn about many of Europe’s most iconic buildings both ancient and modern in an interactive and engaging way. It’s a perfect mix of fun and learning for the whole family

A fun travel through Europe in just a couple of hours! The miniature landmarks are impressively detailed, and it’s both fun and educational (a guide booklet is given free with the entrance ticket that gives basic info about the country and the various landmarks) to see so many iconic sites in one place. The park is easy to walk around, and perfect both for adults and children. Some exhibits are interractive, which elevates the experience, especially for children. Allow at least 2 hours for the visit, if you are also reading the guide booklet while seeing the landmarks and taking photos.

It was a wonderful experience. We saw miniature models of the most famous European landmarks and monuments, which made us feel as if we had traveled to every European country. The design was incredibly detailed, and the atmosphere was great. However, the downside was the lack of transportation — we had to walk for an hour before we could find a taxi.
Moza A — Google review
Everything here is made with so much detail and precision. Upon entering we thought this is a place that’s more suitable for kids bur we were wrong! It was a very interesting place and definitely worth exploring!
Jasmine K — Google review
Mini Europe is a wonderful visit. The models are incredibly detailed and the booklet given at the start of the tour has loads of information on the EU and each country’s exhibit. A really nice little park to spend a couple hours at!
Jay — Google review
A demonstration of all of EU’s nations and cities as well as some of UK too! The replicas are well maintained and have an interactive touch button which mostly played the anthem. The total time for the place can be around 1-1.5hrs if you wish to go detail by detail else it can be done in under 30mins too. It closes entry at 5pm, so I did do a re-entry after finishing the 4pm planetarium show. The metro stop is nearby and is quite accessible. Entry charges and packages are acceptable.

A medium-sized shopping centre in the northern part of the city centre. It's clean and modern, with a good range of shops and a supermarket too. There's a nice food court on the ground floor, with lots of restaurants to choose from. I'm marking it down 1 star, as you have to pay to use the toilets. Other than that, it's a great place to shop and eat.

Fast food restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
EXKi is a fast food restaurant that serves Italian cuisine. It is popular for its pasta salads and sandwiches. The restaurant is open until 7:30 PM and it is busy so it is recommended that you book in advance.
Well located in the centre of the shopping area. Very good place to have breakfast. Staff are friendly.

I was here today for a delicious pasta salad with mozzarella, pesto, courgette and rocket. It was good. My friend had a brie, tomato and rocket sandwich which was also good. It was busy. We liked our time here and enjoyed the food. We will return and recommend.
Lisa E — Google review
The food is fine, though very pricey. The staff is friendly. However, the toilet is dirty🤢the one for women is locked (need code on ticket but they didn’t give me a ticket at all), and it’s confusing if all customers should use the one for men. Also that one is not clean. Please use the price premium for better restaurant environment!
Yt — Google review
Matcha latte was good but they added sugar which I didn’t ask for.
Daisy M — Google review
They leave the warm food on too hot for too long and as a result it looses all taste and given how expensive it just isn’t worth it! Both the soup and the quiche was a tasteless mush! Avoid - their branding looks all healthy and natural - their food is anything but! €3.40 for a small bottle of water!!
W M — Google review
No service client, every time when I came, I stay in my line to pay, but they take another clients. I have to wait while they are preparing the coffee. Sorry, but today I couldn't stay calm anymore like always. I just needed to pay my soup. They doesn't care.
Natalia G — Google review
I had a really disappointing experience at this EXKi location. One of the male staff members was bothering my dog—who is normally very calm—and made her visibly nervous. I was hoping to enjoy a peaceful breakfast, but instead I felt uncomfortable and disrespected. The same staff member was loudly singing “oh chihuahua” while looking at my dog, which felt mocking and completely inappropriate. To make things worse, the person who charged me for my order tossed the cutlery at me instead of handing it over politely. It came across as careless and rude. A day before, I visited the EXKi on Rue du Marché aux Herbes 93 in Brussels and had a completely different experience. The staff there were polite, professional, and respectful—everything this visit was not. My dog is very peaceful, and every other restaurant I’ve visited can confirm this—they often praise her for how calm and well-behaved she is. This was the first time I saw her get nervous, and it was entirely due to the staff’s behavior. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. I hope EXKi takes this seriously, as no customer should be made to feel disrespected or disrupted of their peace.

Restaurant de l'Ogenblik is a charming eatery that has been serving French cuisine since 1969. Nestled in the heart of Brussels, it offers a cozy and timeless interior with marble-topped tables and wood-paneled walls. The restaurant is known for its seasonal menu offerings, quality ingredients, and an impressive selection of wines. It's a popular spot where locals and tourists come together to enjoy a relaxed dining experience.
IN SHORT. Pure poetry LOCATION. The restaurant is located right in the center of Brussels, in the royal galleries: in particular, in the “prince” gallery. The place is “charming”, welcoming, typical. An immersion in the typical Belgian atmosphere. Beautiful tables, wooden decorations, high ceilings. SERVICE. Kindness, professionalism, availability. Excellent. FOOD. This restaurant deserves the awards it has received: beautiful dishes, well-prepared dishes. Authentic flavors. I had the grilled fish: very good. The selection of desserts is also excellent PRICE. Adequate PS. Dogs (well-behaved!) allowed!
Juska — Google review
A very nice and cozy restaurant that is recommended by Guide Michelin, and I see why. Welcoming, warm and inviting staff! The food was genuine and very nice prepared and served. Warm plates, and good flavours. Seasoning is on point! I paid around 100E incl. starter, main course and dessert, with one beer, and three glasses of wine! Bang for the buck, indeed. Love this place especially since it’s so close to all the tourist traps! Would definitely go here again and I recommend it! The service was hospitable and warm and quick! Thanks to the chef and the staff for this night! A moment I will not forget (pun intended)

Fantastically authentic place in the heart of Brussels! It has a very cozy atmosphere and I love the green hanging lamps. The menu offers Belgian classics with french-style twists. We had the lunch menu and were more than satisfied! The salmon carpaccio was fresh and had unique citrus flavours. The main courses were also delicious and very filling. I will definitely be coming back to this place. It’s a classic.
Astrid M — Google review
Restaurant was a delight, kind of hidden away, and has a Michelin star. The service was great, and the server had a sense of humor, since I kept inadvertently saying thank you in Italian (we had just came from Italy to put that in context). The citron tart is to die for. This restaurant is worth it.
Adam S — Google review
Visited Brussels a few weeks ago and really struggled with the quality of food served in most restaurants but I thoroughly enjoyed the food (nicely seasoned, fresh & authentic) at de l'ogenblik and would definitely recommend. The atmosphere was nice and not very noisy, the staff were professional & lovely, however, the entire menu was in French with no options in English so we struggled there a bit but no fault of theirs. I would definitely return here if in Brussels again.
Sandra — Google review
Really good food! Loved the location and we sat outside! Steak with the mushroom was delicious as were the gambas appetizer and trio crudo.
Catarina C — Google review
If you want Michelin star food at a portion of the price, this is where you go. We were blown away, everything was so delicious. I can tell you exactly why it’s just Michelin recommended and not Michelin star though, it’s because the servers arn’t super welcoming and there’s a cat walking about. But seriously I couldn’t care less about those things because the food was PHENOMENAL. I’d come back every time I’m in Brussels.
Katlynn M — Google review
A cat has free roam of the place. It sat next to me and licked itself mere inches away from my food. I found this extremely disconcerting, while others liked the cat. Despite having a reservation, the host tried to force me to sit outside on the hottest day of the year. I had to insist multiple times before he would sit us at one of the many empty tables. The food was good.

Belgian restaurant
Le Zinneke is a renowned restaurant in Brussels, known for its focus on local cuisine and slow food movement. The venue offers a cozy ambiance with wooden paneling, gilt-framed pictures, and a charming courtyard. It is celebrated for its extensive menu of traditional Belgian dishes, with an emphasis on preparing mussels in 69 different ways when they are in season. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, locally sourced organic ingredients, including mussels from Zeeland.
Le Zinneke was recommended by a good friend of mine. We did not know there are 70 ways to cook mussels! The food was amazing and the portions were huge (we did not manage to finish them). We had an different tiramisu with speculoos totally worth it! It is a very traditional restaurant! Staff was polite and pleasant and the service was quick! A must in Brussels

Good neighbourhood restaurant with very nice service. We liked that they have a happy hour service until 6:30 and then you have to leave by 8:30pm and then all the food is 25% off which is nice. Otherwise I think it’s a little pricey for the mussels at more than 30 EUR even though there are a lot and the fries are unlimited which is very nice. Their specialty is that they have more than 60 sauces that you can choose from but IMO the sauces don’t taste much. Overall I still recommend the place it’s been around forever and good if you need a quick mussels fix

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ A Mussel Lover’s Dream with Great Vibes Le Zinneke is a fantastic spot if you’re craving mussels—there’s an enormous selection and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The beer menu is solid too, especially the brown varieties with lower alcohol content that still pack great flavor. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast, and the restrooms were spotless. We also enjoyed a lovely dessert and found the wine list to be well-curated. The cozy French-inspired decor adds a charming touch to the whole experience. Just a heads-up: parking is limited, so I’d recommend taking a taxi or Uber. Make a reservation to avoid waiting. Overall, highly recommend and would definitely return!

A massive selection of mussles - we had the fisherman and garlic white wine and parsely (the latter being the better one). The beer selection is small but paired perfectly with the food. Friendly service, too.

Great restaurant with fresh, delicious mussels. Probably the best and tastiest I’ve ever had. There are tons of choices on the menu. Also there’s a menu deal available which is very affordable at 30 euros which includes a starter, main course and dessert. We had the cheese croquet for the starter - yummy. Then for the main dish the mussels in cream, garlic and herbs. Just delicious and a huge portion with fries of course and tartare sauce. Also took the onion soup which was very good. Everything was homemade and arrived hot at the table. For the dessert we had the delicious chocolate mousse. The service was kind and the place is styled in a typical Belgian homey atmosphere. Such a nice experience. We will definitely come back.

Authentic Italian restaurant, run by Italians and with happy Italians eating inside. Don't be put off by the size of the restaurant, the food is excellent and the atmosphere too. I had the Carnivor pizza which was different to my usual Pepperoni in UK but really tasty. NB tap water is not served so be prepared to pay for all drinks but again don't let that out you off. Highly recommended eaterie 😁

Hidden gem with great food! Some reviews wrote about cash only so I wasn’t sure but, they take credit card and we had no issue at all.

It is a cosy and nice place, a wannabe Italian place, but actually gives a geniuine Brussels family owned restaurand kind of place. In any case, the food is good, the staff friendly and accomodating and the prices are fair, a good value-for-money. I recommend visiting it, you will feel homey even, if you are alone and not so close to home.

Clean restaurant. The food looks good and the pasta tastes good too, it’s more on the plain side, so you will have to like that. The staff is nice. And the prices are very accessible! Not far away from the shopping street and Inno shopping mall. If you’re in for quick Italian food, this can be on your list. They also have clean toilets btw.

Wondered into this place. Glad that we did. Pizza was excellent. Prices reasonable by Brussels standards (the reason we ate here was the Doubletree hotel restaurant wanted $30+ for a hamburger). Would recommend Il Colosseo to anyone. Also had the citrus sorbet which was extremely tart and tasty. Without wine can stay under 15 euros per person.

For pizzas, we ordered Colloseo (recommended), swapped the ham out with chicken as the ham contains pork, and also ordered caprese (not sure how to spell it). When they came, the pizzas were piping hot and the cheese could be pulled! The crusts were even crispy all the way! For pasta, we were recommended the 4 cheese pasta which tasted really good too! I would suggest to eat the pasta while it's hot as it gets abit sticky and gelat when it cools down. Overall, it was an amazing meal with very reasonable price and good quality! We will come back again!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the center side of town. Start the day off with Manneken Pis, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Manneken Pis is a 17th-century fountain in Brussels featuring a small bronze statue of a boy urinating into the basin. This quirky landmark, created by Jerome Duquesnoy, has become an iconic symbol of Brussels' humor and folklore. Despite its small size (only 60 cm high), it is one of the most photographed statues in the city. The statue is known for its extensive wardrobe of over 600 outfits, with different costumes displayed during festivals and events throughout the year.
One of the interesting location of the Brussels, just minutes walking from a Grand Palace. We were there at around 2pm and it was crowded, however still possible to take descent pictures. Lot of stores and restaurants around, so it is not a problem to find a restroom if need it. Otherwise you can not spent so much time by the statues as it is quite small. The funny thing though that they dress the boy in different clothes from time to time and there is a store across of the street that shows some of the costume they use during the year :-)
Vadym — Google review
I would’ve loved to know a little more about the history of this boy! But unfortunately not much is known, even the theories are a far few… nevertheless a spot for every tourist visiting for pictures. I do see a lot of guides explaining about the statue and was curious to find out more… it’s close to the grand place and can definitely be included in the city walk.
Pavan P — Google review
It is undoubtebly a statue that you want to see when in Brussels because it's gotten so popular for some reason. I really like the idea of this little boy being a national symbol and getting dressed up in different outfits depending on current events. It somehow manages to be both impressive and underwhelming at the same time.
Oscar L — Google review
Manneken Pis is the famous statue in Brussels, depicting a young boy urinating. The statue in place right now was put there in 1965 and is surrounded by cameras and fencing due to previous theft and vandalism. I was surprised by the size of the statue when actually seeing it in person — it was tiny and a little underwhelming, and it would be so easy to just walk past it if it wasn’t for the crowds of people standing around. The statue is pretty humorous though, and is only a short walk away from Grand Place, so it’s worth checking out while in Brussels for sure, especially if you can catch it in one of the fun costumes. Unfortunately, during my trip, it was without this.
Aaron — Google review
The statue itself is quite small and, apart from its fame, may not be particularly captivating. However, the surrounding streets and area are delightful, featuring charming sweet and waffle shops. If you happen to visit at the right moment, you might even observe a local group dressing the statue.
Jiri V — Google review
Manneken Pis represents the Brussels spirit: humor, irreverence, independence, and not taking life too seriously. Locals see it as a quirky emblem of their city. There are many legends—one says the boy extinguished a burning fuse with his urine and saved the city. These stories make it a key part of local folklore. Along with Grand Place, it’s one of the most visited attractions in Brussels. It represents Belgian comic-style humor and is featured in souvenirs, festivals, and cultural events.
Şebnem S — Google review
A must when near Grand Place. It's easy to miss and it's not that big. Walked by earlier in the day and completely missed it. These pics are at dusk/night so accessible outside of the crowds.

Choco-Story Brussels is the first chocolate museum in Belgium, showcasing the history of chocolate from its origins with the Aztecs to its rise in Europe and the creation of Belgian pralines. Visitors can learn about cocoa harvesting and chocolate-making techniques, as well as enjoy live demonstrations by master chocolatiers. The museum offers interactive tours with praline-making demonstrations and tasting sessions.
You can have as much chocolate as you want! 🍫 This is one of the nicest places to visit. It is fun, amusing, and educational. 👍 There are so many interactive activities suited for children and even adults. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 There are also wheelchair-accessible facilities. ♿️ The gift shop is also nice and tasty! 🎁

This is great. Such a fun experience with a lot of tastings and demonstration at the end. Really tells a great story. Took about an hour, a bit more if you really listen to all the audio guides. Spiced up the Brussels trip.

Had a great time at Choco Story Brussels! The museum is fun, informative, and smells amazing. You can learn all about the history of chocolate, see how it’s made, and even enjoy some delicious tastings. The staff are friendly and the exhibits are well done. Perfect for chocolate lovers and families. Highly recommend!
Saul — Google review
Cute little museum with plenty to see, though a lot of the exhibits felt quite similar after a while. We got to try some free chocolate, which was a nice touch. There were a few mini games too, but unfortunately, about half of them weren’t working, which was disappointing since that was the most fun part. You can also watch a live chocolate-making demo every hour, but we just missed it and didn’t feel like waiting another 30+ minutes. So we ended up leaving. Overall, if you’ve got 1–2 hours to spare, it’s a decent place to check out.
Maria M — Google review
A very unique experience for both children and adults. It was very interesting to hear the story about the origin of chocolate, the emerge of chocolate in Europe and taste the most delicious chocolate made in the museum itself. We’ll definitely visit it again once we’re in Brussels! Highly recommended!👍❤️
Lina O — Google review
A really great museum to do! I recommend this museum when in Brussels. Such an informative museum on where chocolate came from historically and even in the present time. It’s very interactive with mini games to do all along the museum. Best part, a chocolate tasting bar where you can try as much chocolate as you want at the end of the visit.

Took the family to *Chocolate Story Brussels*, and it was a hit with the kid! The exhibits are a vibrant dive into the world of cocoa and chocolate, bursting with color and interactivity. You journey through lush, recreated cocoa plantations with vivid displays of cocoa pods and beans, learning how they’re harvested and transformed. The chocolate-making process comes alive with engaging visuals and hands-on stations, showing the magic of roasting, grinding, and conching. The storytelling is top-notch, blending history and science in a way that captivates all ages. The grand finale—a live chocolate-making demo—was a delight, with rich aromas filling the air as artisans crafted pralines we got to taste. A fun, educational gem in Brussels!
Bala V — Google review
If you would like to learn about the history of chocolate then this will be a good visit for you. Time will depend on your pace. If you listen to every information, which is what we did, then I'd take probably around 2-3 hrs. Otherwise, you're free to skip, but it was actually interesting to learn how cocoa was discovered and then refined as the years went by. There are some free chocolates, and also a 10-minute teaching at the end which was quite nice. The only thing was that the place was tucked in some alley, if it was in one of the main streets then people would be more likely to visit, I think.

Delirium Café is a popular tourist spot in Brussels known for its extensive beer selection, boasting over 3,000 brews available. The bar spans three floors and offers a variety of settings, including a taproom and the quieter 'Hoppy Loft.' Additionally, it features live music on Thursday evenings. Adjacent to the café is Floris Bar, specializing in absinthe, tequila, and jenever.
Incredibly huge bar 🍻 with lots of different rooms and vibes to explore. You can chill in the fancy patio upstairs, perfect for chatting with friends, or head downstairs to dance and meet new people. The beer selection is also massive, adding to the fun. Definitely worth a visit — it felt like one of the most active and lively bars in Brussels.

Delirium Beer Café in Brussels is a must-visit for any beer lover! The atmosphere is vibrant, lively, and full of character, making it an unforgettable spot to relax and explore the world of beer. What makes this place truly special is its mind-blowing selection—over 2,000 varieties from around the globe. It's impossible not to be impressed by the sheer variety on offer. While it’s not feasible to see or try all the beers available, the menu alone is enough to make any enthusiast curious. We opted for the Beer Meter, a fun and engaging way to taste a flight of 10 different beers served in small glasses. It was a great way to explore different flavours and styles without getting overwhelmed. Each beer had its own unique taste, and the staff was helpful in recommending options based on our preferences. The interior, with its beer memorabilia and cozy yet bustling ambiance, adds to the charm of the place. Whether you’re a casual drinker or a true connoisseur, Delirium Beer Café offers an experience that’s both enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Brussels. Come thirsty, and leave with a new appreciation for beer!

Jeanneke Pis is a statue of a young girl located in Brussels, considered by some to be the sister monument to the well-known Manneken Pis. It was built in 1987 as a female counterpart to the famous Manneken Pis. The statue depicts a little girl squatting and urinating, showcasing Belgium's sense of humor. Some visitors even prefer Jeanneke Pis over Manneken-Pis for her shameless and cheeky expression.
I totally recommend go and see this but not because of the statue itself but because of the cool alleyway where it’s located! Also, it has less tourists around than the pissing boy so it would give you a vibe of “hidden gem”. I liked it more than the pissing boy because of the overall vibe of the surroundings!

This small statue in Brussels shows a little girl peeing—just like the famous Manneken Pis, but it's the girl version. It’s hidden in a quiet alley near Delirium Café, so you have to look carefully to find it. People like to take photos, and sometimes she wears costumes for special events. It’s a funny and quick stop while walking around the city. Not very big, but it’s part of Brussels’ playful style

The Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert, located northeast of the Grand Place, is a stunning shopping arcade inspired by the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Comprising the Queen's Gallery, King's Gallery, and Prince's Gallery, it was Europe's first shopping arcade when inaugurated in 1847. The galleries boast ornate storefronts under an arched glass roof and offer high-end shops, theaters, cafes, and restaurants.
Absolutely stunning. Upon walking in you’re taken back by the sheer elegance of this place. The roof being all windows makes this just amazing. Ended up doing some shopping at the embroidery store and then had a nice big coffee (pictured) at one of the cafes. It was so nice to sit and enjoy the people watching and just taking it all in. This was definitely a wonderful moment I wish I could have packaged up and taken home. If you’re in the area, make sure to check this out. Even if you’re just going to stroll through, this is a must. Very beautiful and highly recommend.

Walking through Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert felt like stepping into a timeless world where elegance and history meet. The soft glow of the lights bouncing off the ornate walls and the glass-vaulted ceiling created a warm, almost magical atmosphere. Despite the bustling crowd around me, I felt a quiet sense of wonder, pausing to admire the intricate details of the architecture and the charm of the shops lining the gallery. It was one of those moments where time seems to slow down — a moment to reflect, to feel gratitude for small joys, and to simply be present amidst the beauty of the surroundings. Standing there, I realized that places like this are more than just landmarks; they are spaces that quietly hold memories, stories, and a sense of connection to the world around us.

Established in 1893, Chez Léon is a family-owned restaurant renowned for its regional cuisine, particularly mussels and fries. The bustling hall on rue de Bouchers features checkered paper tablecloths and an open kitchen, serving up flavorful mussels prepared in various ways - fried, baked au gratin, steamed, and even raw in season. This beloved establishment has become a culinary institution known for preserving the essence of Belgian gastronomy.
I had an amazing meal at Le Chez Léon. I ordered the pasta and mussels, and both dishes were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the prices offered excellent value for the quality of the food. During the meal, I met and chatted with the diners at the next table, local regulars who mentioned they come here often, which made the experience feel even more authentic and welcoming. I really enjoyed the meal and the cozy, friendly atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, savor every bite, and feel like part of the local scene.

I came to this restaurant based on reviews, and the staff were friendly from the moment I arrived. I chose to sit outside. The restaurant has two floors and is very spacious. I went during the day, so it wasn’t crowded. I ordered several dishes since there were three of us—fresh oysters and mussels in white wine, which were delicious and perfectly balanced, not too salty. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Brussels!

A lovely place with a really special atmosphere. Everything felt welcoming and relaxed, making it easy to enjoy the evening. The food was truly delicious – the mussels in particular were outstanding, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. There’s also a thoughtful selection of wines that pairs beautifully with the dishes. It’s the kind of spot where you feel like staying longer than planned. Definitely a place I’d be happy to return to.

Right in the heart of Brussels, Chez Léon drew us in with its warm, welcoming atmosphere. That evening, it wasn’t just a restaurant — it was a true experience. Cozy, lively, and filled with character, the place radiates an authentic Brussels charm that immediately makes you feel at home. We chose the “Moules gratinées à l’ail” – mussels baked with garlic, herbs, and melted cheese – and it was an explosion of flavor. The freshness of the mussels, the aromatic depth of the butter, and the perfectly caramelized cheese created a dish that was both rustic and refined. The harmony between the bold garlic, delicate herbs, and the natural saltiness of the sea was simply masterful. What impressed me most was the precision and respect in how the seafood was handled — tender in texture, perfectly balanced in flavor, and full of character. I had never experienced mussels prepared this way before; it was truly eye-opening and unforgettable. Paired with golden crispy fries and an ice-cold Belgian beer, it became one of those memorable meals that stay with you — not just for the taste, but for the shared joy around the table. Chez Léon is more than a place to eat; it’s where you taste the culture of Brussels itself. A must-visit for every true food lover.

Went here for dinner with a group. Service was fast and the staff handled our table smoothly. The food was okay overall the fish was definitely the better option for that night, while the pork was a bit tough. Despite that, the ambiance and location made the experience enjoyable. Famous seafood restaurant in Brussel. Their mussels fish are excellent as it is. Taste so good from their well cooked and freshness I can feel from every bite. The potato fries are not quite impression, not the good one. Salad are good. Pasta are too creamy for me. Staffs are friendly and helpful with the menu. Seating area are large and they have more seat upstairs so it’s big enough to host large group. Restroom are upstairs. Credit card accepted. Enjoy!

We had a lovely evening at Chez Léon with my family. We first walked past the restaurant and were immediately drawn in by how delicious the food looked, so we decided to come back one evening for dinner. On the night, we ordered Filet Américain prepared at the table, Garlic Butter, Assiette Léon, and Spaghetti Bolognese. The food quality was excellent, and everything was full of flavour. I would also like to give special appreciation to Alan, who was so friendly and entertaining—he made our two children laugh and enjoy themselves throughout the meal. Overall, we had a truly wonderful evening and would highly recommend Chez Léon!

Comptoir des Galeries is a serene oasis located in the beautiful Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert. The restaurant features a small wine bar at the entrance and a more formal dining area at the back, offering natural wines and sophisticated dishes. The minimalist decor complements the produce-centered cuisine, accompanied by an impressive wine selection. Dishes are modern interpretations of familiar options with improved techniques, such as a green curry served as a foam to enhance flavors without overpowering the ingredients.
The food is out of this world! It's the first time I've experienced different flavours in a dish coming to life! The service was impeccable. Very attentive and great explanations of the food along the way.

Incredible food and lovely courtyard and space, with friendly-yet-unpolished service. When asked about wine pairing for the prix fixe dinner, it seemed the question was not understood (perhaps a language barrier on my part?). But then the server asked us to remove our knives and forks from the plate in order to make room for the next course. Yikes! There they lay resting on the table and I was at a loss. (Photos included) Table not wiped down between courses, the lack of polish detracted from the meal, unfortunately. Nothing insurmountable! A little fine dining training would do the trick.

A really beautiful restaurant with some unique sharing dishes. The food was fantastic but they really lacked a strong service to compliment it. Introducing the food and the pre dinner snacks would have been ideal and common for the type of price tag this comes with; the food is great and they really should be shouting about it.

Fabulous restaurant with beautiful, super tasty dishes and great service. The scallop starter and mushroom main is superb. Very fair prices. Even do "beer" pairing with the many great Belgian craft beers. A real joy. How I came across this place (on the Michelin Guide might I add) was thanks to my craving of the Ile Flottante. I was traveling to Brussels again and this time I would not be leaving the Belgian premises unless my taste buds had revisited this sweet confection. It turned out that Comptoir des Galeries surpassed my expectations. I was so happy that I had stumbled upon this cozy restaurant with its wooden chairs and tables. If I had to choose one word to describe Comptoir des Galeries, it would be: neat. Everything was neat and tidy. The food was presented neatly, the service was as it should be, and the environment was squeaky clean (even the bathrooms were as clean as they could be). I really enjoyed the whole meal; it was delicious and I will definitely be back for more. Finally, the long awaited reunion was here, and I will leave you with the picture of a light airy white floating dessert drizzled with a hint of caramel. May it linger in your thoughts…

Seafood restaurant
Belgian restaurant
This old-fashioned seafood restaurant has a terrace where patrons can enjoy heaping traditional dishes. The Lobster House serves Belgian, seafood, and European cuisine in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
If you’re in Brussels, this is an absolute must-visit restaurant! It’s always been a very famous spot, and now I understand why. The service is truly excellent – the staff are so polite, friendly, and welcoming. They even surprised my children with free ice cream, which made our visit even more special. The seafood is incredibly fresh and offered at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend the seafood risotto and the cold seafood platter – both were absolutely amazing in flavor and came in generous portions. I’ve visited many restaurants, but this one really stands out. Between the quality of the food, the warm hospitality, the great value, and its well-earned reputation, it definitely deserves a top review. I would go back without hesitation and recommend it to anyone visiting Brussels!

It was so nice, I ate there twice! Such a memorable seafood experience. The mussels were insanely good! The scallops were cooked to perfection 👌🏽 and the shrimp were devine. The Lobster House team were welcoming and attentive- even during the bustling dinner service. Wine options by the glass were also great; I recommend the Chardonnay. Thank you for the memorable experience. I will be back!

Saw the good reviews on this restuarant and decided to come here for dinner with my friends. Best decision made ever. We are lucky to get a table for 5 even though we did not make reservation. The waiter served us with fresh bread and butter. The butter was really smooth and goes very well with the bread. We ordered 3 pots of Mussels - Mussels in Cream and Garlic, Mussels of the House Flavour and White wine, Sirloin and Paella with Shellfish. I finished my pot of mussels, no bad mussels and the cream with the garlic was so good. All of them taste divine and the seafood were very fresh. The waiter serving our table was so friendly and helpful. Apparently, the restuarant is halal and my Muslim friend could order Sirloin which he said was so tender and delicious. The setting of the restuarant is welcoming, cozy and warm. The team was very attentive and helpful. Totally deserve the stars and great review. Keep up the good work and hope to visit your restaurant again when I visit Belgium!

The service was absolutely fantastic. Servers were really nice and talkative, also very humorous. Had a nice lunch here. The food was pretty nice, quite up to standards. I mean seafood would never go wrong. The paella was not too salty, just right. Seafood was amazing. The mussels, signature food of Belgium, were super delicious. Can tell it’s very fresh, also really tender. Overall a very nice lunch experience! Thanks for the kindness of the servers!!

Belgian restaurant
Nüetnigenough is a charming brasserie located in the heart of Brussels, known for its art nouveau facade and interior. The name translates to "never enough" in English, reflecting the cozy neighborhood's spirit. This Flemish restaurant offers a superb beer menu and authentic cuisine at prices ranging from 15-30 for dinner. The friendly service and excellent beer recommendations perfectly complement the hearty dishes, including their renowned Carbonades Flamandes.
I enjoyed my lunch very much. Highly recommended. I don’t remember the names of my orders but i added photo here. Their Belgian traditional meal were delicious and I hope to come back to try more dishes!

Very nice local restaurant and we came here to try the Flemish Beef Stew. It tasted so good. The beef was soft and well cooked, the sauce was thick and goes well with the bread that they served. Ordered Stoemp side which is mashed potatoes and vegetables for my beef stew. The taste is not overwhelming which complements with the heavily flavoured beef. Ordered a local made in Belgium Coke Zero! First time trying that and it tasted a bit different from the usual Coke Zero. It's nicer and less sweet. We also ordered fried smells. The little fish was fried really crispy and so good to go with the garlic sauce. My friend ordered a Beef Chuck and he said it was delicious too! The lady waitress was not that friendly compared to the male waitress who served us. He was helpful, attentive and really approachable. The place is a small outfit so do try to make a reservation. We were lucky to get to dine in without reservation.

We were lucky and didn’t have to queue. The waiters were friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. We ordered the fried smelts then the sausages and the meatballs. Nice quality and generous portions. Good selection of beers on offer and they can help you choose. Would definitely recommend.

Edited with photos It used to be our favourite in Brussels. Yet it started to increase the price, getting a lower beer specials selection and lowering the qualify of the food. This applies to all of the dishes. We are loyal clients for almost more than 10 years and we see the "backwards" development. The meatballs used to be gorgeous. Now they changed the sauce and they are double price, to the point you can not even justify it. Moreover you could find better meatballs in Belgium. It is a pity because it is used to be a charismatic place who everyone loved to eat. I recommended it to half of my coworkers. Now I could not justify, fully, why this is not so unique. Please do not take this as negative, but something to improve. I loved this place for years and now I have mixed feelings about it.

We tried the Meatloaf, Meatballs, and Flemish beef at Nüetnigenough. Each dish had its own distinct and memorable flavor, and we really enjoyed the taste. What we found lacking, though, was variety in the ingredients, something we’re more used to in Canada. On the other hand, our waitress seemed quite irritable, which made us uncomfortable asking for anything.
Sheida — Google review
Okay.. so this might be a long one because I feel the need to admit I was slightly apprehensive about coming here because of some reviews I've read commenting on the service. Here's the thing... service was great! BUT I can see how people may take issue given what I overheard. All of that being said, my server was attentive without being overbearing. She waved me off from making a potentially poor beer and food pairing and offered up suggestions for other pairings as well when asked. But if you're going to sit down and ask "What's a traditional Belgian beer? I'll have that!", you best be prepared to be asked "What do you mean traditional Belgian beer?" It's literally a Belgian beer brasserie, they're all traditional belgian beers! And given the breadth of styles... The food here is also excellent by the way. Get the smelts. Some of the best I've had. The service here is not rude, it's direct. They're not rushing you, they're being attentively efficient. Come here if you like beer and not just the idea of beer.
Victor Y — Google review
Wow....just wow. Excellent staff! A big applause to the staff who know how to turn tables and get the line moving. There is generally a bit of a wait, but I assure you, it will be worth your time. From start to finish, delicious, authentic, Belgium cuisine. A bountiful beer menu. Lots of food options for any preference. A must try!
Sally M — Google review
I recently visited Nuetnigenough and had a great experience. The food was spot on, I went for the Flemish beef stew and it was tender and packed with flavor. The beer selection is impressive, with dozens of Belgian options, so there’s something for everyone. Definitely a great place if you want to try authentic Belgian dishes. The place has a cozy vibe, and there’s outdoor seating, which is perfect when the weather’s nice. It can get pretty busy, though, so don’t expect a table right away if you show up during peak hours. There’s no reservations, so be ready to wait a bit. The staff were super friendly. Overall, it’s a solid spot for good food, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Parc du Cinquantenaire. Not quite as popular as Atomium, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Parc du Cinquantenaire, also known as the Golden Jubilee Park, is a beautifully landscaped 19th-century city park in Brussels. It was designed to commemorate Belgium's 1830 independence and features extensive gardens surrounding the triumphal Arc du Cinquantenaire. The park is home to three museums: Autoworld, the Royal Museum of the Armed Forces and Military History, and the Musee du Cinqantenaire.
We visited in April, and although it was quite cold, the park was still beautiful and relaxing. The vibrant gardens and expansive green spaces make it a perfect place to unwind, take a leisurely stroll, or simply sit and enjoy the atmosphere. With so much to see you could easily spend several hours exploring. I can only imagine how wonderful it must be in warmer weather when the gardens are in full bloom and outdoor activities are at their best. Highly recommended for a peaceful and scenic escape in the heart of Brussels. 🌿🌸☀️

I didn’t even know Belgian independence was a thing until I wandered into Jubelpark. So, congrats Belgium, I guess! I’m not the biggest fan of Brussels, but its parks really carry the city. Jubelpark’s great for jogging, walking, or pretending you’re having a classy European moment while eating a sandwich on a bench. The architecture? Majestic. The atmosphere? Peaceful. The maintenance? Let’s just say… in progress. The park’s got these mysterious Brussels Dirt Mounds™, part of an ongoing installation called “Maintenance Coming Soon.” For the seat of the EU, you’d expect pristine lawns, but here even the dirt feels historic. Still, despite the grime and bureaucracy, it’s hard not to enjoy the place. Find a clean bench, breathe in that “grand but slightly unkept” charm, and you’ll see why people keep coming back.

Huge beautiful park in Brussels built to celebrate Belgium's independence. Every year fireworks happen here on Belgium independence day. The park has a huge arch, giant fountain and huge open space. The benches in park need to be replaced as they are very old. There are many museums surrounding the park most popular being the Autocar museum. A very nice place to walk around, explore and take some cool pics.

Parc du Cinquantenaire is one of Brussels’ most beautiful and expansive green spaces, offering a perfect balance of history, relaxation, and scenic charm. The moment you enter, the park’s vastness becomes immediately apparent. Wide lawns stretch out in every direction, framed by elegant pathways and impressive architecture. The iconic triumphal arch at the center adds a majestic backdrop to nearly every view, making even a casual stroll feel special. This park is particularly enchanting at sunset. As the sun dips behind the monument, the sky fills with warm colors that reflect across the open lawns, creating a tranquil and almost cinematic atmosphere. Whether you’re seated on a bench or wandering along the tree-lined paths, it’s an experience that feels both peaceful and inspiring. Parc du Cinquantenaire is also ideal for walks, whether you prefer a slow-paced meander or a more energetic route. There’s plenty of space to explore, making it easy to find your own quiet corner even on busy days. Families, joggers, picnickers, and travelers all blend into the relaxed rhythm of the park. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination in Brussels—beautiful, vast, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind or enjoy a stunning sunset.

Marvelous park, the gate is very similar to the Brandenburg gate in Berlin, and the buildings are beautiful. The park is very cozy and can be used as a place for gatherings and picnics. There's also a museum in the premises which at the time had few visitors, but was full of interesting art and artifacts
Guilherme R — Google review
This vast complex featuring magnificent architecture, a charming garden and lush green trees create an atmosphere that is both peaceful and majestic. Built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Belgium’s independence, the park includes several highlights: the Triumphal Arch, a variety of museums (the Army Museum, the Art & History Museum, and Autoworld car museum), the Great Mosque of Brussels, numerous statues and historic monuments. It's s one of the city’s most popular spots for strolling, picnicking, exercising, and enjoying urban leisure activities. Visiting this beautiful park is highly recommended.

It was a 30 minute walk from Hotel Le Louise Maison. I can honestly say it was worth every step.. The beauty of the park and the monuments situated throughout the gardens are a inspiration to our predecessors

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Majestic and Full of Life Parc du Cinquantenaire is one of the most beautiful and versatile parks I’ve ever visited. Whether you’re strolling through its tree-lined paths, admiring the stunning architecture and art, jogging, or using the outdoor exercise machines, there’s something for everyone. It’s perfect for walking your pets or letting kids run around and burn off energy. The atmosphere is peaceful, the nature is gorgeous, and the entire space feels welcoming and well-maintained. A truly amazing experience—highly recommended!

The Parlamentarium, located just outside the city center of Brussels, offers a deep dive into Europe's past and its influence on present-day Brussels. The visitors' center features multimedia exhibits that delve into the impact of World Wars on European politics and the development of the European Union. Visitors can explore the workings of this complex political institution for free at both the European Parliament and Parlamentarium. The high-tech and interactive museum allows virtual travel between EU countries to witness special collaborations fostered by the union.
We visited the Parlamentarium over the weekend and really enjoyed it. It’s an excellent free activity well organized, engaging, and very informative. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed with plenty of interactive features that make learning enjoyable, even for adults. A great experience overall and definitely worth a visit.

The museum is very well organized and gives you the big picture about the European Union. The political aspects are well presented, I just miss a bit more about the members states economy and culture to know them a bit more and understand the symbiosis , points of view for better common understing.

If you would like to learn how the EU parliament works then this will be the place to visit. Lots of interactive and informative installations. If you want to visit the hemicycle, where the actual things happen then make sure you bring an ID as it it's required before entry, also, need to book as well. There are group tours but if you'd like to explore on your own, then there's an audio guide that they provide, all free.
Arjale D — Google review
I think a reservation is usually required to visit, but since we came as only two people and the Parlamentarium was relatively uncrowded, the staff kindly let us in. The visit is completely free for public, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I learned so much about the European Parliament and its role. The exhibition was presented in an excellent way. They also provide an audio guide in many different languages. Everything was modern, well organized, and highly interactive.
Dwi F — Google review
Amazing experience. I advise to take the longest tour. It’s worth a time (90 min). The exhibition is super engaging. There are seats in some parts that allow to rest for a while.
M . — Google review
We visited the Parlamentarium on a Saturday morning, and I’m so glad we planned ahead. Booking the tour in advance was quick, completely free, and absolutely worth it. The exhibition does a great job of presenting the rich and sometimes complicated history of European countries and the creation of the EU. You’re provided with an audio guide (headset) in the language of your choice, which makes the visit easy to follow and surprisingly enjoyable - no rushing, no strict structure. You simply move at your own pace, stop where something interests you, and keep going when you’re ready. Our visit took about 60–90 minutes, but you could stay longer if you’d like — there are plenty of benches where you can sit, pause, and take everything in. The practical side is also well thought out: free restrooms and lockers are available, especially handy if you’re carrying backpacks or small luggage while exploring Brussels. And yes, like every good museum experience, there’s a gift shop waiting for you at the end. 😊 Overall, this was a very interesting and well-designed introduction to how the European Parliament works and how Europe became what it is today. If you’re curious about history, politics, or simply want a meaningful activity while in Brussels, the Parlamentarium is a must-visit!
Vadym — Google review
A must visit place in Brussels to understand the structure of European Union (EU) and how this common body makes rules and policies for all its member countries of Europe. The audioguide is very helpful to understand the structure and functioning of European Parliament. Nice photostop opportunities and free entry with locker rooms available for free luggage storage. Friendly and helpful staff too. This place is the reason why Brussels is called capital of Europe.

Autoworld, located in the heart of Brussels, is a renowned vintage car museum housed within the South Hall of Parc du Cinquantenaire. The museum boasts an impressive collection of over 250 cars from European and American manufacturers, including presidential limousines and vehicles belonging to the Belgian royal family. Visitors can explore the evolution of automobiles through different historical periods, from La Belle Epoque to World Wars I and II, as well as the European Golden Age of Capitalism.
31.00EU for 1 adult and 1 senior pass. Lovely display of vintage collectibles. Well layout with an amazing historical back story. Temps inside, in my opinion, are quite warm. No cross breeze, and it was a lovely day outside. A suggestion may be to create some air flow, somehow, without disruption to the vehicles. Excellent staff! Beautiful grounds nearby to explore.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely impressive! I was honestly shocked by how many amazing cars and motorcycles are displayed here. The collection is huge and beautifully presented — from classic legends to rare models you don’t often see anywhere else. Everything is well organized and full of history. Autoworld is an absolutely brilliant place and a must-visit for anyone with even the slightest interest in automobiles, history, or exceptional architecture. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels carefully curated and genuinely impressive. The selection of cars alone is worth the visit—an amazing, diverse collection that spans generations of automotive design, engineering, and innovation. Whether you're fascinated by early motoring, classic European craftsmanship, or modern performance icons, there’s something here that captures the imagination. One of the standout features is the quarterly temporary display, which keeps the museum feeling fresh and alive. Each new theme brings a different angle to appreciate, often showcasing rare models or telling a story you won’t find elsewhere. It’s clear that a lot of passion and expertise goes into crafting these rotating exhibits, making repeat visits not just worthwhile but exciting. Beyond the cars themselves, the setting adds another layer of wonder. The building is incredible—an architectural gem with soaring spaces and historic character that elevates the entire experience. Its surroundings are equally beautiful, creating an atmosphere that feels both grand and inviting. Simply walking through the halls, you get a sense that this is far more than a museum; it’s a celebration of culture, innovation, and design. Overall, Autoworld offers a rich, visually stunning, and thoroughly enjoyable journey through automotive history. It’s the kind of place that leaves you inspired, whether you’re a lifelong car enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates remarkable craftsmanship. Highly recommended.

Le Pain Quotidien is a rustic-chic bakery/cafe chain known for its classic light fare and organic breads. The menu offers delicious, healthy food options such as steel cut oats with fresh fruit, quinoa salad, and Farro salad, making it perfect for vegetarians. Despite slow service due to its popularity, the charming farmhouse look and community table create a cozy atmosphere. It's a great spot for breakfast or brunch with fresh croissants and pain au chocolat.
The service and food were excellent! A special thanks to the lovely blond waitress (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) for her warm smile, attentiveness and friendly attitude. She really made the experience even bette!

I was eager to try their petit déjeuner though it left me with rather mixed feelings - the hot chocolate was great, real Belgian quality, so that alone made it worth it. The apple juice I got was also obviously natural, as well as the strawberry jam, accompanying the pastries. However, neither the butter croissant nor the baguette were impressive. Honestly, especially the croissant tasted like bought from a supermarket, and I really hope it's not the case. The price I paid was 13.95€ for a cup of hot chocolate, glass of organic apple 🍎 juice, 2 slices of bread and 2 baguette pieces, as well as a butter 🧈 croissant and butter and jam on the side. The service was friendly, but since the waiters didn't have their names embroidered on the uniforms, I had no clue who they were. The atmosphere is simple but nice. Overall 3/5 with some potential for more. P.S. they offer some of the eat-in dishes for takeaway as well, for a couple euros less.

First time there. A server came and seated my children while I spoke to him and queued up at the till to order. He didn't mention I could order from the table. Waited 5m in the queue (not easy with 2 small children already seated) and ordered to eat there. Server announced that ill have to pay a different price to eat there I was like, okay. Then he kept arguing with me to put the juice in my hand back in the fridge and go and sit and wait for another server to order and they will then bring the same juice to my child but later.

I was there yesterday. I ordered a matcha latte and a pastry, the matcha was fine but the pastry was really dry and it seemed old (I ordered it because the waiter said it was good and I was expecting something freshly baked). When I went to pay, I paid €8.5 only for that pastry… I should’ve definitely asked for a new one🥲 I probably won’t come back

1. Poor seating 2. Inattentive waitress 3. Stale croissant 4. Warm (not hot) cappuccino; No one in dining area and waitress seated me next to wait staff work area -- I had to pick up and move myself to seat by window. When I was ready to have my order taken I closed my menu and waited. And waited. The waitress was more interested in gossiping with other wait staff than attending to me. Finally another member of the crew nudged her over. Food was brought out quickly. Croissant tasted stale like it had been sitting out all morning (which it clearly had been since there was an open display of pastries). Usually cappuccinos are served scalding hot (perfect serving temp for a cappuccino is minimum above 60 C). This cappuccino was warm--almost hot. Bof. Will reconsider coming to this overpriced eatery again.
Audrey G — Google review
Food is fine but nothing special. The large soup (which is really just a standard bowl of soup for €8.50) arrived a bit cold. In general the place is overpriced. Staff are always quite inattentive and service is slow.

**This review was written 2 years ago but apparently only got released now? The situation might be different now. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a nice coffee in the morning. The quality of the coffee was really not up to par. I also bought a pastry and that one was quite good. I cannot judge their other breakfast or brunch options, but I am just making it clear that this is not a place for coffee-lovers. Note: Don't bother giving your reusable coffee container as apparently they don't know how to serve in it and they still wasted a paper cup and let me transfer it myself.
Vassili B — Google review
I am usually biased towards giving a positive review but this one doesn't deserve a good one at all. To put it in bulletins : - The Chai latte (tea with almond milk) arrived in lukewarm (ambiant temperature), and this is under the hot drink menu, strange really, I wasn't sure what to say. - I ordered the scrambled eggs toast, wasn't fresh as well and it took 45 minutes. But the surprise is that they gave me the plate with a small portion, and the table next to me ordered the same one and theirs was double than mine. 😂 I asked the waiter if there is something wrong, he went in and came back telling us sorry this is a small portion because we are out of toast, and he didn't bother suggesting anything to make amends. I mean dude, either tell me right away so I order something else or offer an alternative. But no, they prefered to let me starve and give me a small plate and with full price. I truly felt the current management doesn't have hospitality experience, or a kid was running the restaurant. I paid 20Euro only to continue my lunch somewhere else. I was laughing about this situation when it happened but now I realize how bad the management is.

Choosing a food is difficult when one of the staff constantly reaches over ones face and scoffs at customers as if assorting the shelf couldn't have waited the two minutes we chose our foods. Our lunch was tasty and we were happy until one of us had a stone or similar in the bowl, the tooth didn't chip but it cracked in the head as if it broke in the gum and still hurts today.

The staff are very friendly and helpful which creates a nice atmosphere. The price of some items can seem a bit high (for students for example) but the quality of the food is very good so I'm happy to pay it.

Nice place to enjoy your breakfast especially if you have business in Schuman.

Nice and healthy food. Loved the soup and the lemon cake. Lemon cake and carrot cake is a must try.

Healthy food at self service. Good variety and good quality.

What a coffee and sandwich.. This is close to my apartment.. My wife and I really love this corner. Awesome experience in summer having the sun fall on our shoulders🌞... chatting, watching the street ❤️ .. I would recommend to try coffee with chocolates 🍫 Edit: It' been 2 years, I have not been to this place, my job requires me to move places... I miss this place already :(

Place is nice and spacious. Wish they and all Exki's had some more substantial sandwiches though. However, they seem to have a poor attitude to hygiene. When I was there yesterday, the server dropped the chocolate and stirrer on the floor when preparing my coffee. He the put them on my saucer anyway. When I said I don't want those ones (!), he said the chocolate was protected in plastic !!?? Then went to the toilet, no soap whatsoever in soap holder. Obviously they never bother to check it, as it would have taken days to run out ! What is it with Brussels people and their apparently casual attitude to hygiene and cleanliness !!??

Au Vieux Saint Martin

Belgian restaurant
Brasserie
Au Vieux Saint Martin is a long-standing restaurant in Brussels, serving Belgian cuisine since 1968. The restaurant is known for its colorful art and heated patio, creating a charming atmosphere for diners. It has become a popular destination for travelers seeking an authentic taste of Belgium. Run by the Niels family, who have been restaurateurs in Brussels since 1915, the restaurant offers traditional Belgian dishes with a modern twist. The menu emphasizes local specialties and generous portions.
Food was very good. On the pricey side for a lunch but it was certainly worth it. We had a white Bordeaux that was absolutely delicious which the served by the glass or craft.

Visited Au Vieux Saint Martin - Bij d’Oude Sint-Martinus and oh boy… this one was a bit of a letdown. We had high hopes walking in—great location, beautiful outdoor seating, and a cozy, classy vibe. It looked like it was going to be a hit. We ordered the beer beef stew and the shrimp croquettes, both highly recommended by our waitress and a couple of locals. But sadly, neither hit the spot. The stew was bland, and the croquettes didn’t have much flavor. Just didn’t do it for us. Now let’s talk about the bright spots—the olive dish with bread and butter was simple but absolutely perfect. And the fries? Golden, crispy, and downright delicious. Easily the second-best thing we had at the table. Maybe we just picked the wrong dishes or caught the kitchen on an off day. Who knows. The place itself is charming and inviting, especially if you’re sitting outside and soaking up the atmosphere. We really wanted to love it, and while the setting was a win, the food just didn’t deliver like we hoped. Sometimes it happens.

First impression: the Vieux St Martin looks like a place that will deliver. It appears to be well established, it is in a good location and it was busy. Upon arrival, we ordered and the drinks came quickly. The beer came in cooled steins and it was good and cold. The service was not very attentive. It took over 40 minutes for the food to arrive. We ordered two omelettes and a tartare. The omelettes were ok but not sensational. The tartare was good. In the end, the food was not unique or extraordinary enough to make up for our experience with the service.

Very tasty food and drinks! Ordered shrimp croquettes, beef and fries, vermouth and red wine. Great service and atmosphere.

We arrived without reservation and had to wait for a bit (unfortunately outside as it was fully packed). The atmosphere was good, as well as the food we ordered américaine and carbonade. However the fries that came with the américaine were not that good soft and not crunchy…. something we (the rest of the people I dined with) agreed and found disappointing being a brasserie of such category.
Belén L — Google review
A very typical and chick French café. Its regular clientele is local, stylish, and middle-aged Belgians. You can have a good time while sipping your cocktail and watching the passersby and customers.
Ozlem M — Google review
A truly exceptional meal at a Belgium institution! This will start a love affair with this brasserie and a regular visit when in Brussels.
Nick H — Google review
Me and my wife for dinner normally share just one plate,We ordered one steak and one salad, and they brought 2,we very politely asked that we only ordered just one,the lady in black suit sadly in a very unnecessairly rude manner responded “we dont share food in this restaurnt???!!!!! “ If that is the case wouldnt you tell the customer in the begining?!!!and why you allowed us to share the salad?likely restaurant wanted us to pay for their mistake ,to make it more unpleasant she starting collecting some of our dishes again in a unnecessairly rude manner while we were just shocked how she can behave just like that for no reason. This was the only bad impression we had from our entire belgum trip, the country in general is very polite and friendly
