Ramen restaurant
Yamato is a popular Japanese restaurant located in the vibrant Saint-Boniface neighborhood, known for its authentic izakaya experience. As the first izakaya in Brussels, it offers a relaxed atmosphere where patrons can enjoy beer and traditional Japanese dishes. Guests can place their orders at the counter and watch as skilled chefs prepare delicious ramen, katsu, and other specialties. The restaurant's extensive menu features a variety of flavorful ramen options made with fresh ingredients.
This is a small, tucked away treasure of a ramen shop in Brussels. I went here for dinner in my first night in the city. It was cold and it has been raining so I was craving for something warm and filling. I got the Miso Ramen (15.80 eur). It is really good - the portion is huge so it is truly a bang for your buck, so to speak. The ramen tastes good - not too salty even if it is miso-baded and the portions of the solid ingredients was generous. Aside from good food, the staff has been so accommodating. Coming from a country that still has establishments that do not accept card payment, it is good to know that they do card payments here. There was no outdoor seating when I went there because of the bad weather but I believe it will be difficult for those with wheelchairs to eat inside the establishment itself. As for vegetarian options, the menu all had dishes featuring meat products so on that I am not so sure if these are available. Other than that, I would really recommend eating here in Yamato. If given the chance, I would really want to try their Katsu dishes.
Jacklyn L — Google review
I recommend it if you want a savory meal that will fill you up for the day. The green onions are fresh, grilled onions are soft and the garlic taste is present, but not overpowering. I loved the texture of their pork. The rice felt a bit too old/hard. Miso soup had no tofu in it but it came with a subtle garlic aftertaste and sesame seeds. The seating arrangement is deal if you are by yourself, not an issue if you are with a friend and you get to sit next to each other. Your glasses might steam up since you are seated around the kitchen, and the smell will impregnate in your clothes. If you need to use the restroom, you will disturb all the patrons seated and eating their meal. I got to relisten to Katy Perry's hits, luckily food came out quick. Staff enjoy to chat and are very friendly. Take-away is available. Nice beer options.

best ramen in brussels. authentic, simple, and delicious. the place is small and cozy, but with an actual ramen bar which i love. katsudon is also bomb
Alex V — Google review
I had a delightful experience here in Yamato! The gyoza were really tasty, and the katsu rice meal was both flavorful and satisfying. The young staff were attentive and added to the pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Loni L — Google review
I went here during the museum night because the place i first had in mind was packed. So decided to check this out with the good reviews. Inside it was packed you had to wait (it isn't super big inside), but we didn't mind to sit outside for it. I picked miso katsu ramen. And when i got it and i was a bit dissappointed with it. This is not a true japanse ramen at all. the flavor of the miso is weak, the noddles used aren't the best picked for it. It felt like how some chineese places say they do ramen and you eat it and noticed it is not ramen. exact same thing here. The food itself was okeay if you look on it on its own. But as a ramen ? I have to say this one failled.
Roy T — Google review
Their Ramen and pork(if you are allergic to pork, stay clear from here)dumplings are highly recommended according to us. They have live cooking and have anime posters and mini figures on their shelves Fun Fact: If you are a fan of TinTin or Herge, the name of the restaurant is the same name as one of the bandits aiding Misturiato in the Blue 🪷 Lotus
Abhiroop S — Google review
The place is very small but charming, definitely a fun time for people that want the traditional Japanese eating experience. Because it's so small, the time you have to wait between the moment you order until you get your plate is very short! The food we got looked good but tasted bland. I don't think it was worth the price.
Gregory — Google review
Great food, good music, good people, cool interior. We had the gyozas that we particularly loved with its super good sauce, then the miso katsu ramen that had a delicious bouillon, homemade noodles and great bamboo pieces. We were so full, the ramen portion is really good. The Yuzu beer was super nice and refreshing. The service was great, we had smiling and caring staff. Will totally recommend! Thank you!

Thai restaurant
Thai Talks is a small Thai restaurant located near rue du midi and Grande Place, offering comforting dishes like wonton soup and fresh papaya salad. The prices are surprisingly affordable given its prime location, and the service is exceptional. The owner is friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The food is described as authentic with delicious flavors that transport diners to Thailand.
I always explore Thai food every where I visit. This is cute Thai restaurant running by family I think. The food is so authentic and real Thai Flavor. Check out if you are craving for yummy spicy food. I ordered all appetizers. Full!
Pissamai C — Google review
Excellent Thai restaurant just steps away from the Grand-Place. The food is tasty, the vibe is homely, and the owners & service staff couldn't be more kind. Really a great place to stop by for a filling meal right in the centre of Bruxelles!
Matee M — Google review
It's still one of the nicest Thai restaurants in Brussels. The food is good, but compared to my visit a year ago, the richness and bold flavours seem to have dropped slightly — especially the spice and coconut depth. That said, the staff are incredibly warm and helpful, the atmosphere is cosy (though a bit tight), and the prices are excellent for Brussels. The menu is well-balanced — not too big, not too small. A great spot overall, just hoping they bring back the flavour magic from before! If I were living in Brussels, I'd come here every week to dine in.
Pranav B — Google review
After reading all good reviews, I was excited to try Pad Thai in Thai Talks restaurant but I was highly disappointed. It tasted nothing like Pad Thai but just instant noodle. The food was not worth the money.
Manisha K — Google review
We were exceptionally impressed by the service and the food. The prices were surprisingly very affordable given its location and the food was very tasty. The man that served us whom I believe is also the owner was really kind and friendly, with very good disposition towards guests. I’d recommend it to anybody who would like to stop for a meal while visiting. We definitely enjoyed it a lot!
Chene — Google review
Restaurant was wonderful with great veg options and a relaxing place to eat, especially after a busy day. Staff was friendly and fast. Truly hidden gem status.
Vishnu P — Google review
The food was amazing, it is a small family owned place, usually for takeaway but they have 3 tables outside where you can eat. Toilet was very clean, the food took a little more time than what is expected but it is obvious it is cooked fresh. I highly recommend to a casual dinner.
Samar T — Google review
The food was a bomb! It was very delicious, literally coming here for the somtam a.k.a the almighty papaya salad! They really do good for the seasoning for the food ! They have a really authentic taste as well tho ~ so if you’re looking for taste i highly recommended this restaurant 😁

Thai restaurant
Walkin' Thai is a small, but authentically Thai restaurant with delicious and affordable food. The restaurant is brightly-lit and the staff are friendly and helpful. The menu includes a variety of different noodles, rice dishes, curries, and starters. Pad Thai (a popular thai dish) is especially highly recommended.
We ordered and originally two dishes were missing, the owner called 5 minutes later to apologize and personally came to deliver the missing items! Amazing service and all that on a very busy Friday night. The food was delicious too, especially the Mango Sticky Rice, highly recommended. We will definitely order again!
Laurent H — Google review
Authentic Thai restaurant with fast service. Already grabbed lunch there several times, always a good quality. Perfect for a quick lunch without reservation
Pieter-Paul P — Google review
The tastiest thaï restaurant of the neighborhood ! We both picked curry meals one veggie and the other one with meat. Lovely and kind staff. We were well greeted and had a nice time.
Anne-sophie G — Google review
As a fan of Thai food, I walked 1 hour to reach this place, and the food is not disappointing at all. Added some spicy chilli flakes for the flavour and the food was amazing. Payed 28 euro for main course, water and dessert.
P. V — Google review
Nice Thai food. No glutamates in their kitchen. Acoustics to improve. We were called attention for having an “intimate” conversation. Perhaps what needs to be improved is the sensibility of the clients with an ear on other tables’ conversations.
Esperanza R — Google review
Cute little Thai place. With actual Thai cooks. Pad Thai is tasty, but in my opinion not dry enough, but the red curry that my partner took really pleased her.
Sander K — Google review
AKN went in this wonderful place with his girlfriend. The waiter was very polite and kind. Good food and positive vibes, POI BOI... Bets Pad-Thai in Brussels
Alberto A — Google review
the unpleasant experience. Upon walking into the place, I was greeted by the most condescending waiter I have ever come across. Not only was the restaurant dead, but the waiter's customer service skills were also equally dead. When I politely asked if they were open, he felt the need to give me a whole explanation as to how things work, as if I was a child who didn't know any better. If the door is open and I am here it means we are open 🙄. Things went further downhill when I placed my order at the counter and was scolded for doing so. Apparently, they had table service and I should have waited for him to come and take my order. I found it absurd that such basic information was not made clear to me at the beginning. As for the food, it was as tasteless as the waiter's attitude. It was just a blend of flavors that did not make any sense. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good customer experience, as the waiter's demeanor was enough to make me want to walk out.

Ramen restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Takumi Chicken & Veggie Ramen Kitchen Sainte-Catherine is a popular spot in Brussels offering a variety of ramen options to suit different tastes, from miso to shoyu and extra spicy with garlic. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians and vegans, ensuring they can enjoy flavorful noodle bowls without feeling like they're missing out on toppings or taste.
Highly recommend this place! Love this place for their Karaage curry menu🙃 I almost always get it but sometimes I switch to the spicy ramen or the karaage with dumplings menu too. It's not expensive and the quality is great even for take out! I call them to order and I come to pick it up when it's ready! Very convenient during workdays or when you're just lazy to eat outside. The staff are multilingual and accommodating!
Clarice M — Google review
This place is really cute, and the food is great! The only thing I’d mention is that adding fried elements like shrimp and chicken to the ramen makes them soggy, losing the crispy texture that fried dishes usually have. Also, it wasn’t clear that this Takumi location doesn’t use pork. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience!
Beatrice F — Google review
We have visited Takumi many times but this time we were super dissatisfied. The Ramen was tasteless and was not hot even. The chicken rice curry set was simply our biggest disappointment. The rice was cold, hard, sticky and very hard to eat. The curry was sagging and the chicken was smelly and super salty. There are definitely better ramen places in town. Staffs are very friendly and nice.
Alireza J — Google review
Came here for dinner, managed to get a table after waiting for about 15-20 minutes. A small diner, with efficient service and good food. The meat was halal, and we tried two kinds of miso ramen and their iced tea (would recommend!) staff was really lovely and we’d love to visit again.
Fathima Z — Google review
Delicious meals bursting with flavor, served piping hot. Friendly staff ensures fast service every time. A perfect spot where taste meets efficiency.
Wafa A — Google review
Both the Kara-Ebi-Miso Ramen and the Tan-Tan Ramen had rather watery broths that lacked depth of flavour. The noodles and toppings were okay. Ultimately, of course, it's always a matter of personal taste.
Active M — Google review
My favourite place. Since I found it I always go to eat. Never dissapointed ! Staff frendly ready to help, food not heavy and with a big amount. You recive what do you pay ! Big quality and quantity of food ! 10/10 for takumi. Tip : try to keep the toilets more clean ! Thank you !
Aleyna 6 — Google review
As we got there we had to wait a little bit for a table but it was definitely worth the while. The restaurant has a great vibe to it. The food came very fast and it was delicious. The staff wasn't very friendly but I guess they were maybe a bit stressed to get all the orders out. It was also a bit loud inside. However, I definitely recommend getting some nice spicy ramen.

Seafood restaurant

Oyster bar restaurant
Noordzee, a former fish shop turned street food outlet, has become a beloved spot in Brussels. Situated on the edge of Place Sainte-Catherine, it offers an array of top-notch seafood snacks such as croquettes aux crevettes, escargots de mer, fish soup, pickled herring, smoked mackerel and salmon. The menu also includes hot dishes like crab and scallops along with wine and beer.
Every thing was amazing! Although wwe had to wait to find a table but the whole idea of serving food so differently was quite fun and the food quality was also great! 👍🏼
Negar K — Google review
A restaurant at a crossroads. You place your order first, then sit at the tables, which are not comfortable. After that, the waiter brings your order. The food is somewhat good, but the prices are high. The bill was €65 for small portions. The smell of the grill is also annoying. I do not recommend it.
Yazan — Google review
This place is great and always packed with people but the service is very quick! There are tables across the street but it is self service! We had the shrimp croquettes and oysters! Both were amazing and really flavourful! The atmosphere was great with people from all ages having fun and enjoying good food and drinks! I would definitely visit again!
Anna B — Google review
Visited in Oct 2025. Lunch for two. You need to first order your food at the counter. Then go find your table (like in a food court). When your food is read, waiter will call/shout your name and bring the food over. We had fish soup, sea snails, grill sea bass, razor clam and a small white wine. The food tasted ok. Portion was a bit small. It was still a interesting dining experience
Joseph L — Google review
Seafood is my favorite meat. And this place got variety of seafood. I had fried calamaris, razor calms, fresh oysters plus a French bread with something that I forgot what it was, possibly shrimps. Razor calms are rare, I didn’t expect to see it on the menu, it was a must. 4 different dishes satisfied me in one time.
Adrianne C — Google review
Noordzee (Mer du Nord) in Brussels is a beloved spot near Sainte-Catherine Church offering incredibly fresh seafood in a casual, self-service setup. Customers order directly at the counter and enjoy their meals standing or at high tables outside, creating a lively street-food-style dining experience. The seafood is consistently praised for its freshness and quality, with popular items including shrimp croquettes, oysters, grilled fish, and fish soup. Prices are reasonable, and although seating is limited, the atmosphere is vibrant and authentic—perfect for a quick bite or a light meal outdoors.
KKPB C — Google review
This place serves fresh sea foods and its delicious. The place gets really busy during the day. It is closed on Mondays. There is a big outdoor seating area and also a small indoor seating area.the food is freshly prepared and when it is ready they will get it to you by calling our your name.i had to wait for a while for my food and went to the preparation counter to pick it myself. The taste was good. Surely recommen this place.

Amazing experience! Even though the kitchen wasn’t fully open yet, the staff was super friendly and served me salmon tartare on fresh bread — easily one of the best raw salmon preparations I’ve ever had. It was so good I came back later the same day to try more. Warm service, great food — I’d definitely return next time I’m in Brussels

Pizza restaurant
Organic restaurant
Nona Pizza St-Cat is a vibrant eatery that specializes in artisanal Neapolitan-style pizza, crafted with care and precision. Nestled among the competitive Italian dining scene in Brussels, Nona stands out by blending traditional recipes with locally sourced Belgian ingredients. Their commitment to authenticity shines through in every dish, from their wood-fired pizzas to rich homemade pastas.
The pizza is so fresh and the dough is perfect! The staff are helpful and friendly, and they have a lot of options, they have indoor and outdoor seating, both are nice for a quick yummy lunch. Would go there again!
Eman S — Google review
The pizza was decent, though the toppings could have been better. They seemed to have been used straight from the fridge, as water was visibly oozing out when served, which affected the overall texture and flavor. The tiramisu, unfortunately, was a complete disappointment. It tasted as if it had gone stale or was poorly prepared. The mascarpone and raw egg mixture was runny and unappealing, while the ladyfingers were mushy and watery, completely overwhelming my palate.
Varun C — Google review
The food was amazing friendly staff and pro tip order a drink I had lemonade will help you eat food with ease kindly specify and if your don’t eat too much salt also info before
Jussy L — Google review
Pizza is mid, very chewy and hard to cut through the crust it has a weird mouthfeel, almost gummy. Despite the texture the flavour was great. All around 3/5 pizza. Ambiance is warm and bustling with chatter which I liked. 🍕🫶
Noemie D — Google review
A lovely spot for outside dining that blends a young atmosphere with an oldschool traditional Italian feel. The food is authentic, the wine is good, the big pizza oven an eye catcher. It's the place to be…which means you may have to wait for a table in the evening but it is absolutely worth it. Perfect for couples, families and friends. The menu is focused on pizza. For pasta, you'll need to visit their sister restaurant just 50 meters down the street.
León — Google review
They use fresh quality ingredients on their pizzas. It’s a good vibe with good eats and house wine. Recommend!
Shawn S — Google review
I had high hopes for Nona, given its reputation as a pizza specialist in Brussels, but unfortunately, the pizza didn’t quite meet my expectations. The cheese was too milky and lacked the consistency and richness of a proper mozzarella, which made the overall texture less enjoyable. On the bright side, the service was quick and friendly, which made the dining experience pleasant despite the pizza falling short. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a try for the atmosphere and service, or their twin pasta restaurant.

Chinese restaurant
Au Bon Bol is an authentic Chinese noodle house that serves delicious noodles and soups, which are both homemade as you wait. It can get crowded, but upstairs it's usually a little more spacious. The noodles are really good and the prices are reasonable. This is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for some great Chinese food!
Crowded steamy Chinese greasy spoon, specializing in home made noodles in soup with a choice of meats (I had BBQ pork). It is cool to see the noodles being spun, and the tureens of boiling noodles and soup stock. It ain't at all fancy but it hit the spot for me. Mix of customers with a good share of Chinese people (important criterion) and lots of happy mainly young locals. Recommended.
Jonathan M — Google review
The handmade noodles are a must-try! They were perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. The place has a simple charm, and the service was very efficient. I'll be back for sure!
Tan P — Google review
Noodles are very good, but tofu they serve is cold and not well integrated in the rest of the dish. Also, they totally mix their sriracha sauce with water as it’s too liquid and not spicy…
Julia L — Google review
best noodles I had, that are not italian, if you know, what I mean. prepared to perfection. small menue, but big portions. we came to the opening hour at 12 and the place was packed just 15 minutes later. we will come back.
Daniel M — Google review
Amazing place, easily one of my favourite dinner spots in Brussels. Amazing service and friendly staff, you can see the noodles are self made, which I absolutely love! Also, it’s a very good price for a huge bowl of selfmade noodles! The taste is amazing and you will feel so full after. I can only recommend it 🫶
Lara — Google review
The only good point is the handmade noodles, even though they are really heavy. The ingredients are tasteless not really coherent. It didn’t bring me back in China but just uselessly fulfilled my stomach. I tried But it was really disappointing and too expensive for what it is.
Benjamin S — Google review
The only authentic thing is the worker!! The broth is definitely not authentic but the noodle and the proportions are good tho. Just the broth is not hitting the Asian standard. For 15 euro I think it’s not worth to come here.

Had lunch here on a Tuesday. It was the only Chinese place opened for lunch on a Tuesday. The service was quick and no fuss. You can see the noodles are made fresh in front of you. The toppings are prepared in advance. It was simple pricing for the noodles; soup €15, pan fried €16 and €17 (for the third style). My French is poor so I could not make out the styles. It was by far the cheapest hot meal I had in Belgium. The portion was very generous, but don't expect the broth to be authentic.

Pois Chiche is a relaxed Middle Eastern food bar located in Brussels, offering a variety of Levantine street food. The restaurant serves a standard menu during the week and a brunch menu on weekends, featuring an array of flatbreads and plates with authentic Middle Eastern flavors. Their extensive selection of dips, extras, and sauces complements the vegetarian-friendly menu.
Lovely dishes, some local beers and free refills of lemonade, what more do you want? The dishes are quite similar (we had the cauliflower shawarma and the chef's plate), but since they're both very good, no complaints there.

I don’t usually write Google reviews but as I’m sitting here I felt like sharing this amazing little spot; instant Brussels fave! I ordered the chefs bowl since it has most options included; a great variety of salads, beans, fried halloumi, cauliflower and eggplant, soft flatbread, crispy green falafels and you know I love a good hummus! (since I got the word tattooed on my arm) the chefs bowl looks fantastic, is just bursting with flavour and this home made ice tea is soo yummy! the atmosphere is cozy, the people welcoming and the jars of dried chickpeas in places (even bathroom) add such a fun original touch in decor!

Wow, my eggplant wrap was delicious. That said, beware of the drink costs! My lunch was about to be a bit over 11 EUR (eggplant wrap + extra haloumi) but I got an iced tea (unlimited refill) and it went up to 18!! They didn’t list it on the menu so I didn’t know the price until my card was touching the machine, how tragic. Also the breed of house music that was being played here was unbearable!!! I love dance music but time and place!!!! The other songs were sweet tho. Would recommend! Service was great

I had a great breakfast experience at this restaurant. You can have it brunch-style or order individually. The unique thing here is all products are from the local Belgium farms. They start operating as of 11h00 in the morning. The location is right at the Church door in downtown Brussels City. Recommended 👌

Yummy Bowl is a charming spot in the heart of Brussels, offering a delightful array of Korean-inspired vegan and vegetarian dishes. Catering to diverse dietary preferences, the restaurant also provides Halal, Kosher, Lactose-Free, and Gluten-Free options.
So yum! First of all, lovely staff and great service (although they seem a little under staffed) Secondly, great food, fantastic vegan options and a cute vibe I had the super bowl and it was 5*, healthy, satisfying, tasty and well balanced lunch I also took a takeaway vegan cookie which was the best, crunchy, nutty, gooey, chocolate chunks and not sickly or too sweet (didn't take a pic as I ate it without even a thought) So yum! Highly recommended, I will try to squeeze a revisit in on my way back through Brussels

Stunning food! Loved it and the service was friendly and quick. I had the Dragon bowl with egg and my friend had it with tofu! Beautifully flavoured and it felt healthy! Light food that filling especially in this heat. This is definitely worth the experience.

Amazing food! Tastes fantastic, lots of options and imaginative range of ingredients and a lot healthier than most places you can eat out at. Staff spoke fluent English and were very friendly.
Jacqui T — Google review
This is a very solid four stars for a vegetarian restaurant. We had the Dragon Bowl and Happy Bowl, and both dishes were very flavorful. The Dragon was more oriental in flavor while the Happy Bowl was reminiscent of a European style salad. The freshness of the salad was good but not amazing, which is the reason for the solid four. Overall, we would eat here again to satisfy a no meat meal.

Some vegan options. The "super bowl" was delicious. Many different ingredients, all fresh and a tasty sauce. Generous portion.

Horia - Oriental Natural Eatery is a Moroccan and Lebanese restaurant located in the Saint-Gery district. The name "Horia" means freedom in Arabic, reflecting the owner Isabelle's passion for offering traditional eastern cuisine in a multicultural neighborhood. The restaurant prides itself on using organic and locally sourced ingredients, with 90% of its vegetables coming from organic farming. Isabelle, along with her partner Omar, opened Horia in 2016 to bring together flavors and cultures from the East.
The food was amazing! Not expensive, and you can choose a dish with a bit of everything! An adventure into Middle Eastern and North African cuisine! Everything was fresh and tasted good! I can tell vegetarians will love this place! The service was great! Very friendly, engaging, and explained the menu in detail. The ambience was great, maybe on the narrow side, given that it's in the heart of Brussels, but that was perfect!

Good food, good prices and services was perfect! Large plates and nice food. Highly recommended!

Despite being busy on a Thursday evening, I was able to snag a table without a reservation. I ordered the Horia plate, which offered a variety of dishes. While the carrot and pumpkin were undercooked, I enjoyed the rest of the meal. The fresh, warm bread was a nice touch. However, the restaurant seemed understaffed, leading to a slightly longer wait time for service. A little pricey but I guess you’re paying for the quality.

A small eatery with a small and delicious menu. I usually go for lunch and they never disappoint. It's easy to grab a small bite like soup and flat bread with hummus, babaganoush or goat cheese or a bigger portion of tagine or other middle eastern dishes. It's nice to sit outside if it's sunny but it's really cozy inside. The food feels so hearty and nutritious I always try to go when in town.

100% recommended!! Food is delicious, waiters are really friendly and the vibe is cool. Good place to enjoy dinner/lunch for couples or small groups. Better to book a table since the place isn’t too big and it’s always busy! ☺️

We've had some really good food in Brussels, but this tops the lot. We had the Horia plate which has a mix of lots of tapas and vegetables - it was delicious! The accompanying bread was also superb and I recommend the Harissa too! Fantastic food, great atmosphere, great service, very reasonable price - everything you could ask for in a restaurant!

This place is quite famous in Google search when it comes to Middle East food in the center of Brussels. I found the food very good but I must say that the outstanding item in this restaurant was the bread. We got this absolutely fresh, soft inside, with a wonderful crispy crust on the outside bread that blew my mind. The most wonderful part was when we got a few extra pieces to finish our meal. Simply remarkable flavour on that bread. We tried a couple of API beers but one of them was not pleasant at all. Good location and definitely nice staff!

Cafe de la Presse is a trendy and popular spot located on Avenue Louise, offering a great atmosphere with large glass walls that let in natural light and provide views of the bustling street. Owned by Francois Lafontaine, this cafe is known for its extensive coffee selection, particularly the cappuccino. It's also a favorite working spot due to its ambiance.
We did the “Choose your plate” offer and it was phenomenal! The salmon was so fresh! The sourdough amazing and we loved the salt haha! The food really was great!! However the toilet was a little gross, but I didn’t affect the food experience so it’s just a little side note.

This spacious cafe is good to catch up with people, to work or to go on a coffee date. This place has several places to sit, inside and outside. It is a bit loud though since there are always quite a lot of people inside so keep that in mind prior to going here but it’s still okay noise wise to have a conversation. The food is good and you have several options. I ordered their pancakes with fruits and this is one of the only places that is generous with the fruit quantity because most places only add a ridiculously small amount of overpriced fruits, but not here so that’s awesome. I tried two of their fruit smoothies, the ‘Sunny’ and ‘Pura Vida’. Both were really good and tasted fresh. The service was not impressive and slightly average. Specifically at the till. The person was cold and unpleasant to order so they should work on that.

The cafe has become a feature in BXL and was for years the standard setter for both coffee, sandwiches and brunching. It has survived the change of ownership and the menu has been rationalised, but is still good and the service is excellent even on busy Saturdays. It is popular for brunch and tables can’t be reserved so plan accordingly. NOTE: The cafe is currently undergoing renovation and I am giving 2-stars for the unacceptable lack of toilets - no explanations, no advertising and no apologies and no deals with the neighbouring cafes to allow spillover.
Mav E — Google review
Extremely crowded every time It takes 25 mins to get a coffee. If you go with the take away option you have a 15 mins queue and then 20 minutes waiting time: absolutely not worth the wait. I wonder if they play domino / monopoly in the kitchen to take as long to get anything done.
Alexandre M — Google review
Nice café to work with reasonably priced drinks. Quite unfortunately, though, half of the interior is currently closed off due to works, including the toilets!! For a place that hosts a lot of remote workers, it would be important to note this somewhere at the entrance so people are aware! Had to leave early because of this...

Chinese restaurant
The chinese restaurant Gourmets Everyday is a place where people usually go to eat Chinese food which tastes very similar to what people would get in China. The interior of the restaurant is a bit bland, but the service was friendly and swift. The main dish that I ordered was sauteed sliced beef in Shanghai style, which was quite good and not too different from what you would get back at home.
Authentic Chinese restaurant. Food is absolutely delicious. Service is fast. They are super generous with rice. Price wise, it isn't too expensive. We had chicken with dry chilies, afraid not, it isn't that spicy. A chicken noodle that taste good. A plate of vegetables with garlic (no photo) and a spring roll. Plus two drinks. It costs us only 52€. Highly recommend it if you are in Brussel. Place is a stone thrownaway from the Christmas market.
Ailsa D — Google review
We found this restaurant under a google search for affordable eats and decided to try this Chinese food for lunch. We arrived after the main lunch rush and found seats for four people within moments of arrival with no wait and no reservations. The food was delicious. The portion sizes were large for the price and the shared rice at the table was efficient. We tried 3 different beef dishes. What also impressed me the most besides the great food flavor was how clean the restaurant was! I would eat here again!

After a 10 days river cruise, my wife and I are ready for some authentic Chinese cooking?. We arrived right where they just opened at noon on a special day which is the no car Sunday at once a year thing in Brussels. Somewhat simple menu but by the restaurant being full within 20 minutes after we sit down, it says all! Both dishes we ordered are being very delicious, full of flavors and perfectly seasoned! My wife and I thing we will continue to come back in the 5 days we are staying in Brussels!
Steven C — Google review
Service: Prompt and courteous service. Food: Generous portions. I loved the house fried rice(mixed meat with prawns). And the hot and sour soup was just the right thing to have on a cold windy day. Location: around 800m from Brussels central station. Ambience: nice and cozy restaurant. Seems to be quite famous as it was pretty occupied when I visited for dinner. The only drawback is that in order to pay with a credit card the minimum amount needs to be around 16 euros. So I had to order soup and have it right there at the restaurant and I took the fried rice for take away which was my original plan. But since the soup was so filling I couldn't really do justice to the lively fried rice.
Suneela I — Google review
Probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in Brussels. Some dishes are really good, with rather authentic taste. Other dishes could be improved, mostly by increasing the amount of protein in them (e.g. stir fried pork noodles had very few pieces of pork). The price of some dishes is slightly higher than expected. The service is efficient and the people working there are very polite. The space can be very hot sometimes, especially in the summer. Still, this is a place where one can enjoy very tasty and authentic Chinese food.
Tik T — Google review
What an amazing and authentic Chinese restaurant to stumble upon! We got seated immediately when we came, but even on a Tuesday evening it got crowded really quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious and the Shanghai style beef was particularly amazing. The service is as authentic as you’d expect Chinese restaurants to be, so the food came out quick. It was definitely a no-frills restaurant but we left with full stomachs and were so happy to have found an authentic place in Brussels!

This place is very Chinese! Not too much adjustment considering European customers. Experience shows "Chinese" restaurant in Europe are the better, the less they care about what taste local people in Europe might like. Ok, naming the place "Gourmets Everyday" is an overstatement 😉. It's nice, reasonable food. That is a lot, compared to the most addresses introducing themselves being Chinese restaurants! And sure, the place is kind of a time machine. In a city center in China you will find restaurants designed very modern and fancy.
Gut B — Google review
We called on a Sunday to make reservations for the same night at 8 pm (FYI - ressos are important in Brussels because once they’re full, they’re full - you can’t even wait). We showed up at 7:30 to see if they would be able to seat us and they did. I initially found this place on Google because we needed some Chinese food and this place had good reviews/was close by our hotel. I’m not sure if the food was worth the 40 minute wait, but it satisfied the craving. We had the steamed pork dumpling. This was pretty meh - you could get similar quality in the freezer section. We then had the black pepper chicken. I was thankful for the huge portion but it was pretty salty. It definitely needed more than the bowl of rice it came with. Finally, the best dish of the night was beef chow fun. I didn’t have high expectations for this one but it tasted pretty close to the ones at home in NYC, with plenty of wok hei. I’d definitely recommend this dish and if I were a betting woman, I would guess that their other noodle dishes might be pretty good too, so maybe just stick to those.

Umamido Ramen & Sushi Bourse is a popular dining spot in Brussels, known for its authentic Japanese cuisine. With multiple locations across Belgium, including in Antwerp, Ghent, and Leuven, Umamido is a go-to destination for those craving honest and simply delicious ramen. The restaurant takes pride in serving traditional Japanese food with a focus on quality and taste. Visitors can expect friendly service and a menu that features clear and easy-to-understand options.
If you love ramen, Umamido is definitely worth checking out. I’m a huge ramen fan and this was honestly one of the best bowls I have had. The staff were really kind and welcoming and even took the time to show me how to properly use chopsticks, which I still struggle with. The restaurant itself was really clean and nicely decorated, and the toilets were ok. I also thought it was a nice touch that you could buy some branded merchandise if you wanted to. You can choose to sit inside or outside depending on the weather, which is great. Some people say it is expensive, but I thought the prices were fair for the quality of the food and service. The ramen was so warm, hearty and filling it really set me up for the day. If you are in Brussels and craving a good, comforting meal, I would definitely recommend Umamido.

This brightly well decorated ramen restaurant is a nice place to have an easy going meal with friends or even perfectly by yourself. The service was excellent. I came in with tones of curiosity and questions and the waitress was genuinely happy to answer my questions, checked in with me and was very approachable. Even the people behind the kitchen for the small moments I observed them and made I contact, they had a positive energy. They make other dishes other than ramen, such as some rice dishes and maki’s. I ordered the ‘Fried Chicken Rice Bowl’ which I was hesitant about because I often find the rice for these dishes too soggy. It was “okay” sogginess wise, but flavor wise quite good. I do feel like there was something missing food wise for them to get a 5 star food rating. I feel like the food doesn’t necessarily stand out or is unique, for a better wording. It’s very much the overall atmosphere that adds up to its good rating.

A fantastic experience at Brut: the food is surprisingly creative and equally good. This oyster sorbet was to die for ! The service is knowledgeable and very kind. Wine by the glass was worth it, too. A great evening, while feeling good altogether, because it is healthy, organic, and mostly vegetarian.
VMC — Google review
We came to Brut Organic Restaurant with high expectations, drawn in by its concept and focus on organic cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short on nearly every front. First and foremost, the quality of the food was completely underwhelming. We were served dishes that felt random and lacking any sense of cohesion or vision from the kitchen. The meat, in particular, was extremely fatty and largely inedible - a surprising and disappointing outcome given the restaurant's reputation. As fans of organic food, we were genuinely excited to try Brut, but left feeling deeply disappointed. The bill came to €200 for two people, with a few drinks — an outrageous amount given the lackluster quality and overall experience. Value for money is simply not what you’ll find here. I would strongly advise thinking twice before booking. We will not be returning.

It’s a lovely experience — I really enjoy how they use local, organic ingredients in their dishes.
Billy Y — Google review
We had a great time at Brut. We chose the 4 courses with 2 non vegetarian add-ons. The vegetarian courses were beautifully presented, with a range of different textures on every course and delicate tastes though the leek entrée felt a bit undercooked, leaving it a bit chewy, but accompanied with a creamy velauté like sauce which balanced it well. The dessert was amazing, but be aware you order it on top of the menu. The fish option was smoked mackerel, and the meat option was smoked duck breast. Both were delicious, but naturally rich in fat. For clients who are not familiar with this way of preparation, a hint might come in handy. Anyway, the restaurant is basically vegetarian and not the preferred choice for meat or fish aficionados. The choice of natural wines was very good as well (we went for the three glasses pairing wines). To us, considering Brussels restaurant prices, the prices were absolutely fair. The service was impeccable, heartfelt, smiling, and with the right level of information (ask for additional information on the wines!).

Get ready for watermelon sushi and oyster ice-cream... Creativity gets to a level where we lose the point: most of the dishes are simply not good or not tasty. Frank is a brunch restaurant that serves Australian-style dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. They work with biologic, local and seasonal products as much as possible. The cafe specializes in breakfast foods such as pancakes with pecans or yogurt with granola and fruit.
Frank isn’t the kind of place you stumble across, and I think that’s kind of the point. Hidden away on a low-key Brussels street with barely any signage, it’s the definition of a “if you know, you know” café. But walk through the door and you're instantly rewarded: bright natural light, a calm minimalist interior, and the kind of coffee you actually want to sip slowly. I went for an iced oat latte (twice with no regrets), and it was easily one of the best I had on this trip. Smooth, nutty, and balanced with none of that watery afterthought energy. Food-wise, I ordered the Eggs Francine; a colourful, seasonal plate with poached eggs, roasted pumpkin, sunchokes, baked greens, and the brightest, zingiest hollandaise I’ve had in ages. It’s brunch that actually feels considered. What makes Frank stand out is the quiet confidence: no need to shout about itself, no over-designed gimmicks. Just quality ingredients, a semi-open kitchen, and the kind of laid-back elegance that makes you want to stretch your coffee break by an extra hour. Worth the hunt.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we waited around 3–5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We asked for a table for five and were told there was a "big table" available. However, when we were shown to it, we were shocked to find a large container filled with what looked like (possibly dirty?) laundry placed right there. The table was located right next to the restroom area and uncomfortably close to the kitchen, making it quite smoky. We politely asked if we could move to a more suitable spot—perhaps splitting into a table for two and a table for three—but were told no tables were available. This was clearly not the case, as we saw at least two or three free tables both upstairs and downstairs. It was our first meal of the day, and we were excited to experience local hospitality in a new country. Unfortunately, this restaurant completely missed the mark. Disappointing service and poor setup—definitely not recommended.

ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN BRUSSELS! Our first meal in Brussels and the staff on-site that day weren’t accommodating and were not attentive at all - they even looked at us waiting to be entertained outside in the cold and just laughed. We were a group of five and was asking for a table that would fit us all. We were put at a table near the toilet which smelled and is beside a smoky kitchen. The table also had a basket containing laundry (that might have been dirty!) which wasn’t appetizing at all and ruined our whole morning. We asked to compromise and have us separated into two tables but they didn’t budge at all (people were seated after us into tables of 3 or tables of 2). They got our order and prepared the table with water and glasses. The glasses given to us wasn’t properly cleaned at all. Now I’m thinking if they were actually partially racist as it felt racially driven. When they saw us taking pictures of the basket, they removed it to save face. The food was served and it wasn’t even that good - was totally a mistake going here for our breakfast!!! Don’t recommend it at all. I don’t want to generalize but it gave me a bit of a bad taste on how I looked at Belgian hospitality crew (hopefully this is not the case for other restaurants). Lesson learned: Don’t forget to check the low star reviews before selecting a place! Ruined the whole Brussels trip I was on.

I was excited to try this cafe as someone from Belgium who’s lived in Melbourne for 7 years. The coffee is definitely better than what you’ll find in most Belgian cafes, but is still not up to par with Australian coffee. I ordered American pancakes with rhubarb and got poached pear instead without being notified by the waitress, which was disappointing. Service isn’t quite there either. I was seated by a staff member but no one was then sent to my table, I had to wait quite a few minutes before I was asked if anyone had given me a menu even though multiple waiters passed me by. Another table nearby seemed to have the same experience. I do have to say though, staff was lovely when I did interact with them.

Throwback to a day wandering around Brussels. I stumbled upon Frank Brussels just as they were opening their doors, and just before a queue around the block formed. A warm welcome at the door by chef, the team couldn’t be more helpful. The food portions are generous and everything is locally sourced. I enjoyed the Savoury Stack of Pancakes, Pancakes, triple stack, in-house smoked thin slice of pork shoulder, thick slice of slow cooked Brasvar bacon, baked green leaves, honey & lemon syrup, topped with a fried egg. washed down with a great flat white and apple juice. Highly recommended.

Bright and airy, stylish in a nice way. The waitress was wonderful and even turned off the music (has people close to her who also have difficulty with intrusive noise) the natural sounds of the place were so much nicer 💜 I had the sourdough toast and the bread was lovely, my cappuccino was very well made and good. My daughter was very happy with her eggs and loved her cold brew tonic, she in fact had three 😆walked out with one. I am coming again, will gladly walk 15 min for my morning cuppa.

Super friendly staff, nice and cozy atmosphere. The papaya salad was exquisite, sweet and spicy. The red Thai curry was also really good, some unusual spices included to make a a very rounded meal.

Manola offers a truly authentic Thai dining experience with dishes full of vibrant flavors and perfect seasoning. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always ready to recommend their favorites. Every meal feels carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Thai food or trying it for the first time, Manola is definitely a place to visit and enjoy.

We came when the restaurant was not open. But probably owners invited us and explained that we have to wait a bit when personnel will come. We decided to stay, because there were very good reviews on Tripadvisor. And we made a right choice! The food was delicious! This is the best Asian restaurant in whole Belgium ! We strongly recommend it. + you will be surprised with prices🤗 thank you very much!

I had the chicken in green curry with coconut milk and unfortunately had a horrible food poisoning. Tried to call them to inform them in case it was a bad batch but zero interest or empathy.
Roland M — Google review
The food is tasty however it’s very expensive for the portions received. We went for three chicken dishes; pad Thai, red curry and green curry. Neither of them contained much vegetables. So it was quite plain and basic although tasty. Rice was unlimited which was great. Ultimately, for the prices advertised, I wouldn’t be visiting this joint again.

Ramen restaurant
Koku Ramen, located in Brussels, is famous for its exceptional homemade ramen. The rich and thick broth is meticulously prepared with a special blend of sauce, chicken oil, and garnishes. The on-site crafted low-moisture, medium-thick noodles add to the authenticity of the experience. Visitors have praised the authentic Iekei ramen and delicious side dishes like fried gyoza and chicken.
Great atmosphere and delicious food! We waited about 15 minutes for a table on a Wednesday night, but there’s a designated waiting area, and the time passed quickly. Once seated, it doesn’t take long for the food to arrive. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! Just a heads-up, the ramen broth is extremely hot when it’s served, so be careful with your first sip.
Dean B — Google review
This place is fully packed everyday and for a good reason! I advise anyone to come here 30 minutes before it opens as the queue can get quite long. Very friendly staff and absolutely delicious ramen and gyoza! We are definitely coming back
Oana — Google review
This is one of the most tasteful dishes I ever had. Everything was so flavorful and it felt extremely authentic. The only thing that I would change was the portion size of the meat. I wish they put some more pieces. Other than that, great food and friendly and sweet service. I had to wait for long in the queue as I arrived at a pick hour. I recommend going there early so you avoid the waiting line. Honestly though it was worth all the waiting. I could say that it was the highlight of my Brussels trip and would visit again this city to just have this experience again.

This was the best meal I had in my week-long trip to Belgium and the Netherlands. I ordered the spicy miso soup. The broth was so rich and delicious! I can't think of a place where I had a better broth. The noodles were also cooked just right. Basically it was a flawless meal. My wife ordered the black garlic ramen, which she enjoyed but we both felt the spicy miso was better. Koku Ramen is excellent. It is a bit pricey, but given the quality, I really can't complain. Definitely recommend!

🌟 KOKU RAMEN THE BEST 🌟 I’m Japanese 🇯🇵 and used to eat ramen at least once a week back home. Since moving to Belgium , I’ve found it hard to find ramen that truly hits the spot — until I visited KOKU RAMEN. Every bite was an explosion of flavor — I couldn’t stop! Even though the portion was more than I’d usually eat, it was so delicious I finished every last drop. This ramen literally made my day💖 And the service? Absolutely outstanding! 👏Thoughtful, attentive, and truly what you’d expect from authentic Japanese hospitality. Absolutely worth every cent of the €25 price!

My favorite food spot on my first trip to Brussels. We had the Gyoza, Karaage and Shio Ramen and it was the best Ramen me and my family has had not only on our visit but also back in the states in the New England area. It is definitely a required stop for us when we visit Belgium again. The service was awesome and everyone there is very considerate. It is worth the wait.

Tried Koku ramen and it was amazing! The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, and the gyoza were some of the best I’ve had in Brussels— crispy outside and juicy inside. The venue prides itself on using local and seasonal ingredients to create homemade dishes and pastries. On the ground floor, visitors can enjoy the coffee shop and restaurant area while the first floor houses a spacious coworking space with 25 seats and a meeting room.
Cozy brunch spot. Loved their menu, where you can simply tick the items you’d like to order:) Plus, you can help yourself to jams and nutella from a separate table, which was such a lovely touch!🥹

Friendly service. I really liked the hot chocolate. I wasn't a big fan of the homemade ice tea, but maybe that's on me because I have been trying many homemade ice teas at places all over and I've actually never liked any; I should order something else 😅 The food was great! I really liked the grilled cheese, the potatoes and bacon, and the fregola. The pancakes could have used something extra as I found them a bit lackluster. The price is reasonable. You get a small flag with your name on it, which I thought was funny. I'll definitely be coming back. We had to sit outside, so the recommendation of other people to make a reservation during the weekend should be taken seriously.

Great little cafe by the canal. Shame it sits by a busy road junction but many idiots drive here, so it's quite fun for idiot-driver-watching. Good beer and coffee. Food looks great too but I haven't tried it (yet!).

The atmosphere of the breakfast pub itself is very pleasant. We were disappointed with the service after about 15 minutes of waiting to place an order no one came to us, we also had to get the menu ourselves. You write down the names for your order on cards, this was also mixed up. The service is very chaotic. The food looks delicious but we only liked the toast and the egg. There are a lot of things to improve in this place.

I organized a private party here, and have nothing but good to say about this place. The food was delicious (buns with pulled pork or mushroom), and they provided alternatives for guests with allergies. Staff was excellent: very friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you!

We privatised the venue for a high school reunion for just over 30 of us. The organisation process was super smooth (big shout out to Julie for the organised yet pragmatic booking experience). Staff were friendly and efficient, the food delicious and the drinks reasonably priced for central Brussels. I would highly recommend!

Chose this place for my lunch, seeing good reviews. I was very disappointed, the only thing I could choose here for lunch was soup. As a drink I took iced matcha. It was brought fast and the matcha was nice, so nothing bad here. However soup was very watery with big clumps of something, I guess it was supposed to be cream soup but was not mixed properly. Was served with bread, so the only thing makes you less hungry was bread but come on. You don't come to a cafe for lunch to eat just bread. Adding photos. Spent 13,5€, left hungry and dissapointed. Had to go for another lunch. P.S. changed it to 1 star. As from my bank account they took 13.5€, but on the check they gave me it is 12.5€. Feels like a scam.
Nastassia T — Google review
A group of 40 of us (although there was space for more) hired out all three floors of the venue for the whole day. Mona and the team at Le Phare couldn't have been better or more helpful - especially working to ensure we were within budget. We also loved their sustainable ethos, which really fitted in well with what we were trying to achieve. The day of workshops and presentations was a huge success, concluding with drinks of the terrace. Highly recommended!

Located in a historic neighborhood, Entropy Restaurant embodies the concept of moving from disorder to order without waste, using only recycled materials. The dining experience promises a unique journey with delicious and original food paired with friendly service. The restaurant's ecological and social concept adds to its appeal, making it a must-visit destination near Halles St Gery. Despite some minor inconveniences reported by patrons, the overall consensus is that Entropy offers an inspiring mix of flavors and an unforgettable dining experience.
A lovely evening, with great food! Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, which is a big plus. The vegetables were of great quality, although some dishes missed a little "wow" effect often seen in restaurants like this. The mushroom dish and additional cheese platter had enough of that: our favourite courses by far! Comforting, great flavours, innovative but still recognizable enough. I could eat those every day! Wine glasses to accompany the dishes were full enough, so all in all we left fully satisfied. We also enjoyed that some dishes were served by the chefs, for some extra explanation. Thank you!

Last week I had the pleasure of working with Entropy Restaurant for an event at our Distillery. The entire team was incredibly professional and dedicated, making the experience seamless from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their attention to detail truly sets them apart. Their setup in our Chapel was topnotch. They came in and transformed the place to an even higher level of exquisite that i ever thought was possible. As for the food, (Completely Vegetarian )—simply outstanding. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing both creativity and exceptional quality. They incorporated Dada Chapel perfectly in the food and made one off the best collaborations possible. It was an honour to work with this staff at our place. Can't imagine how good it must be at the restaurant itself. I'm going to visit the restaurant itself soon.

We had the pleasure of dining at Entropy last Wednesday and it was outstanding from start to finish. We’ve enjoyed fine dining across Europe, but this was our first fully vegetarian/vegan experience… it certainly won’t be our last! Every dish showed precision & care: high-quality ingredients and a clever balance of flavours & textures. Personal favourites were the courses heroing squash, onion, as well as the creative take on a cheese dish. A special highlight was the non-alcoholic drinks pairing: inventive, thoughtful and one of the best we’ve had. Warm, knowledgeable service rounded out a fantastic evening. Whether you’re vegetarian or simply curious, Entropy is a must-visit!

Guys, tonight you hit me with an intergalactic slap. I was deeply moved by your work by the precision, the honesty, and the soul you put into every dish. For the first time in a long while, I managed to take off my chef’s hat, to let go, and to allow myself to be told a story. I came with a blank page… and you filled it with sincerity, mastery, and emotion. Massive respect to you, Eliott, to Adeline, and to the whole Entropy team. Thank you for this timeless moment. ❤️‍🔥

Thank you to the team at Entropy for the most amazing meal last night. I have coeliac disease so it is very difficult to eat out with strict measures required to ensure there are no traces of gluten in my food. The chef reassured me that he was taking care of the allergy and they ensured I had a gluten free and dairy free food. The service was also excellent, with the staff being super friendly and knowledgable about the restaurant, food and drinks. Highly recommended, especially for coeliacs - I didn’t have any reaction to the food. Thank you !

Had an amazing meal here, the atmosphere was relaxed and not at all pretentious, Adeline and her front of the house team were wonderful. The food was amazing, made even better knowing that underneath lay a social and sustainable cause. Will absolutely return.
Vivian D — Google review
We visited the restaurant to celebrate a seventieth birthday. From the moment we entered, we fell in love with the place. The atmosphere and design combined charm and beauty with a sense of ease. It was clear that every little detail had been thoughtfully considered, with functional and beautiful uses of recycled items (painted tennis balls in shades of orange and red to reduce noise in the restaurant, glasses made from wine bottles, and walls adorned with a magnificent display of papers and newspapers), along with shelves full of beautiful and fascinating books. The food, called “The Journey,” truly felt like one. From the very first bite to the last, two and a half hours passed in the blink of an eye. We chose non-alcoholic drinks to accompany the meal, and they were no less of an artwork than the dishes themselves. We also had a 10-year-old child with us, who thoroughly enjoyed the rich and flavorful culinary experience. A heartfelt thank you to the restaurant, the chef, the kitchen staff, and our servers, who made the experience unforgettable. For this experience alone, it is worth coming to Brussels! Thank you.

Mendo is a newly opened Japanese food spot located in the vibrant neighborhood of Elsene. It offers an intimate and cozy dining experience with a focus on traditional bites, particularly ramen. The menu is carefully curated to strike a balance between classic flavors and modern influences, featuring dishes like shio ramen and kurogoma-variant with black sesame and Iberico pork.
I haven’t been to Japan, but I have tried Ramen many places around the world and this has been the best ever!! Wonderful atmosphere, top price-quality relations and very nice staff!! 10/10 points, don’t miss out.

My personal favorite spot for ramen in Brussels the ramen is amazing, no doubt about it! The only downside is that the place often feels understaffed, which creates a bit of a stressful atmosphere. But the food definitely makes up for it.
Rébecca D — Google review
My girlfriend and I visited Mendo in 2024, a noodle restaurant in Brussels, while battling a mild flu. We were pleasantly surprised by the restorative powers of their incredibly flavorful broth. It wasn't just a simple broth; the depth of flavor suggested a careful selection of high-quality ingredients and slow simmering, extracting the essence of each component. This, combined with the fresh, hand-made noodles, created a truly comforting and revitalizing meal. While the portion of noodles was perhaps a tad smaller than expected, the exceptional quality and taste more than compensated for this. The noodles themselves had a delightful texture, indicative of their handmade nature. Beyond the food, the atmosphere of Mendo contributed to our positive experience. The restaurant provided a pleasant and relaxing environment, allowing us to fully enjoy our meal and each other's company. The service was also efficient, with our food arriving in a timely manner, further enhancing our dining experience. From the moment we entered until we left, feeling rejuvenated and no longer hampered by our flu symptoms, Mendo provided a welcome respite. The combination of delicious, carefully prepared food and a comfortable atmosphere made it the perfect remedy for our ailments. We left feeling completely refreshed and satisfied, a testament to the quality and care put into every aspect of the Mendo experience. It's a place we'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly exceptional bowl of noodles in Brussels, and we'll certainly be returning ourselves. The experience was so positive, it turned a day that started with feeling unwell into a memorable and enjoyable outing. Mendo truly lived up to its reputation and exceeded our expectations, making it a standout dining experience in Brussels.

Tried the Umezu Mazemen at Mendo—brothless ramen bursting with tangy umezu flavour. Perfectly chewy noodles topped with tender chashu and a soft, rich half-tamago. The space charms too—walls dressed in 80s Japanese posters and magazines, and bathroom ceilings clad in vintage metal shop signs. A full feast for both taste and eyes.
Char C — Google review
Delicious ramen, noodles are fresh and cooked to perfection. I has the specialty ramen and the pork in there was bursting with flavor and had the perfect ratio of meat and fattiness. Service was also top-notch.
Iris M — Google review
Start of autumn and craving some ramen, we decided upon Mendo and were very delighted with our choice. We ordered gyoza, the kurogoma ramen, the shio paitan ramen and to end with some mango mochi. The gyoza were crispy and light, a perfect starter. The ramen - very delicious and satisfied our craving! The kurogoma ramen has a pleasant nutty taste and the shio paitan ramen is creamy and very tasty. The mango mochi was my favourite! The place is understaffed but the waitress did an amazing job and the service was surprisingly fast! The only small downside is that the place is small and packed, so you kind of eavesdrop on people sitting next to you (which maybe a delight if you are nosy like me), and of course get eavesdropped on. Totally recommended for the food and we would definitely return. :)

Tucked away in the Stockel shopping center, Ramen NOBU is a hidden gem for ramen enthusiasts and lovers of Japanese cuisine. Part of the Japanese supermarket Tagawa, this eatery offers an authentic experience and is one of the few places where you can savor mazesoba, a spicy noodle dish without broth. The cozy atmosphere and proximity to the kitchen provide an immersive dining experience.
Very tasty food. A nice place to eat with your friends and family and discover something new. And if you are more interested they have an Japanese shop right behind their restaurant.

It was an underwhelming experience altogether. So it's a restaurant inside a grocery store or the other way around. All the bowls had their rims chipped, it's a weird detail but it bothered me. As for the food, things really don't get better. I ordered a spicy miso ramen with pork set. It came with only one slice of pork. It's kinda wild that you can serve that. Shoyu ramen wasn't that good either. Takumi is still a better alternative.
Krishanu D — Google review
LOVED the experience! It's super quaint, the food is great and the people are super nice. The waiting time is non-existent. You get your food so fast. There's a grocery store in the restaurant filled with anime merch, and the people there speak Japanese! So, if you're a geek and like anime, this is definitely a place to visit! ❤️☺️
Gregory — Google review
It was quite cool that you sat right in front of the kitchen where you could see the chef prepared the food. It was a Japanese woman who took order and a Japanese man who cooked. The food for me is quite ok, not to the delicious extend. I prefered the Ramen at Takumi chain. The chicken was too soft for me. And it's quite pricy in my opinion.

A Slice of Authentic Japan in Stockel: NOBU Nestled within the bustling metro station of Stockel lies a culinary gem that transports you straight to the streets of Tokyo: NOBU, an authentic Japanese ramen eatery. This delightful spot, tucked away in a cozy corner of the small indoor mall, is a haven for ramen enthusiasts and lovers of Japanese culture alike. From the moment you step into NOBU, the warm and inviting atmosphere envelops you. The staff, all Japanese, are not just incredibly nice but also exude a passion for their craft that adds to the authenticity of the experience. Their attentive service and genuine smiles make every visitor feel like a valued guest in their little slice of Japan. The star of the show is, without a doubt, the ramen. Each bowl is a masterpiece, brimming with flavors that are both complex and comforting. The broth is rich and savory, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. It’s evident that NOBU takes pride in serving ramen that is not just food, but an experience for the senses. Adding to the charm is the relaxed ambiance, underscored by the soft strains of classical music playing in the background. This thoughtful touch enhances the "urban Japanese" vibe, making it easy to forget you’re in Stockel and not in a cozy Tokyo neighborhood. NOBU also houses a small Japanese convenience store, a delightful surprise that rounds out the experience. Here, you can find a variety of Japanese snacks, drinks, and other goods that are perfect for taking a piece of this culture home with you. In conclusion, NOBU is more than just a ramen place; it's a cultural experience. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in authentic Japanese cuisine and atmosphere right in the heart of Stockel. Whether you’re a ramen aficionado or a curious newcomer, NOBU promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you

It's known for brewing its own beer and baking bread over an open fire, offering a unique experience in the city. The brewpub features a lovely terrace and offers a selection of house beers, including options like rhubarb Berliner Weiss and Kveik. Additionally, it serves interesting food with homemade bread at fair prices.
A great cafe-brewery. The food speciality is Dikkebroodjes. Come here in the morning and have a nice breakfast as there is a very nice second-hand market and have a lot of fun 😁 The property here is very spacious and can take up to 200 people at a time Everyone here is lovely and business-oriented and will serve at the best level. Summary: great atmosphere, lovely food and great for bi gathering 😍 A note: the food will stop completely between lunch and dinner time and that is how you know this place always prepares to provide the best quality for their customers 😊 Highly recommended 👌

A beautiful place. They brew all their own beer which is all sold onsite. The Pilsner is excellent, although it was no bother to taste before deciding. We had Dikke Broodjes ("thick sandwich") for lunch, one vegan, one meat - both tasty, fresh ingredients and flavoursome. Great staff, lovely atmosphere and I highly recommend.
Vicky E — Google review
Shocking behaviour of service staff! I wanted to give this restaurant a try due to some good reviews on their dikkebroodjes. The restaurant opens at 10am on a Saturday. I walked in at 11:05am to an empty restaurant. A tall bespectacled male staff saw me enter, but immediately turned his back on me. This being my first time here, I didn't know where to place my order. I sat down for a full five minutes, yet no one approached me or took my order. It was when other customers started coming in and one placed his order at the counter. I had to walk to the counter to place my order. A blondish female staff smiled at me and took my order. She is the only nice one there. Then, a tall lady walked in (I presume this could be a former staff). Staff started coming out of the kitchen to greet her, chatted with her and even sat with her. What happened to my order? Then a lady with a dog walked in. Two kitchen staff came out to pet the dog with both hands! Their hands went all over the dog's body. Truly, I wanted to vomit when I saw it. I immediately stood up to get a better view of whether they would wash their hands after petting the dog. My order still hadn't arrived. One of them then took out a seat next to the aforementioned tall lady, and placed her hands on the counter top, and chatted away with the tall lady. Hands not washed for at least a few minutes (and I don't know if they were washed in the end). I pity the next person who is going to sit there. The other kitchen staff who patted the dog is male, with a bandage on one of his hands. I don't know how willing he would be to wash his hands and wet the bandage. I had seen enough. I cancelled my order of the dikkebroodjes. I paid for my coffee and left. This restaurant gave me a very bad impression of service standards and especially hygiene in a Belgian restaurant. Beware! No matter how nice the dikkebroodjes might be, no point getting diarrhea for it.

New place for beer and food to share in Marolles neighbourhood. Definitely, worth stopping by for a drink after your shopping/sightseeing tour in the adjacent flea market. Service is pleasant, food is good (bread and dips based). So, it’s good for sharing. Terrace is large- not so common in Brussels. Interior combines some modern elements with traditional bars in the area. I like this concept.

After checking out the flea market, we were ready for a drink, so we tried this brewpub. Don't be fooled by the lineup near the door, it's for the ATM next door! Very lovely terrace in the back. Friendly service. 4 house beers were available. We tried the rhubarb Berliner Weiss, a sour ale and a Kveik, all 3 were good. Didn't try any food, but the menu was interesting, with homemade bread. Prices were fair.

Super cosy and nice place. The staff is really friendly. The food is soooo good and affordable. Especially breakfast. It has a bit of a Parisian feeling. Other seating is cute under a tree.

“Pretty good” sums it up. Bit expensive for what it is. Food quality is good, but not outstanding. Refinement missing—a few pomegranate seeds in the salad, nuts on the pancake, or other delicious garnish could have upgraded the food a lot. The 25€/person brunch does NOT come with any kind of beverage? Serious missed opportunity to create a great value item with repeat customer potential. The place has potential!
Moritz Z — Google review
I went there for Brunch on Sunday. The only problem was two months ago they stopped it, despite showing pictures and menus of it in maps and their webpage. To add to the problem at 11.30 their stop selling breakfast and don’t start lunch till 12 noon. When I asked why they showed it on maps the waitress said the kids follow us on Instagram….which is fine once you’ve been there but impossible if it’s your first time. Please update both especially as the menu is so limited.

Went for lunch and the food was really tasteful. Although there wasn’t much choice, one could choose between meat, fish and vegetarian depending on one’s preferences. With a 20€ menu, you get good food in a nice and simple atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a lunch break!
Axel V — Google review
Recently the food became really bad, and very expensive. It drastically went down! Service is super slow, if you sit outside on the terrace and staff not trained well. They charge 16 EUR for bacon salad which is worth 5 EUR max! Seems like the owners just want the profit but do not care about the service and food quality. Do NOT recommend!
Karolis — Google review
A great bar-restaurant. Nice selection of beers, some great wines, and really incredible but very simple food. A large terrace makes it a popular spot on a nice day, although watch out for the attention of the local vagrants (such is Brussels). Service here is always very friendly.
Jacob R — Google review
Pretty good. Juices and coffee were both tasty and the terrace is lovely, but the service was a bit slow/obstructive and the scrambled eggs were loose/watery. Prices are reasonable and there is quite a good choice of beers. A nice spot for a sunny afternoon but not necessarily somewhere to make a detour for.
Olivier S — Google review
Brunch: Plateau poisson: nice smoked haddock in a bun, with hollandaise, pickled onion and fromage blanc. Plateau viande: nice caesar salad, the chicken is lukewarm, not icecold chicken breast like I encountered too many times. Vinaigrette was plenty, but flavorful with mustard. Dessert wasn't too great. Could use either more sugar or salt. Very nice bar and selection of beers, however no one came to take our order after 20 minutes... EDIT: changed my review to 5 stars. Waiting staff did a great job and the food was delicious as well.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Ramen restaurant
Menma 麺真 St Catherine is widely regarded as one of the most authentic hotspots in Brussels' ramen scene. With three locations across the capital, including in Brussels center, Etterbeek, and Elsene, this spot has quickly gained a loyal following thanks to its excellent ramen and friendly service. The restaurant's creative approach brings together unique flavors and ingredients for an unforgettable culinary experience.
Nice restaurant is small , but the ramen is the best I ever ate. You can taste the difference between this flavour ramen from other places, chicken nuggets are amazing, everything is delicious the service is very nice and the guy was very friendly and helpful to us. Prices are good and I hope that will stay like this. The only thing that I would like to see the tables more clean, sorry about that, but I will go back again and again, and I would suggest to everyone who likes Asian cuisine this is the best place, specially in this cold weather.

We were positively surprised by the amount of choices and the menu. The ramen were tasty, delicious and fresh. Great variety of original Japanese beers. The staff was super nice and helpful as well ⭐️ I would definitely be back!

Nice service, tasty takoyaki and flavourful ramen. I had the yuzu shio gyokai tonkotsu ramen. It was great but I forgot to ask for condiments like chili oil or pepper (I noticed they had them on the counter while paying, afterwards) It would be better to place them on the table. I also had a taste of my friend's spicy veggie ramen and I was suprised by the deep and full flavour of the broth. A lot of umami which u often don't get with veggie broth.
Maya D — Google review
Veggie Ramen was very bad, the bamboo was still chilled, broth was not tasty but just oily. Noodle doesn’t taste right either. Very disappointing in ramen, I couldn’t finish even half of it. But my husband ordered curry and said was pretty good. Service is good.
Opie — Google review
Really bad ramen. Boiled chicken brest in an unflavored chicken broth. Zero depth of flavor. I'd rather have instant ramen, than pay €18 for unflavored chicken broth. Added a bit of soy sauce to see if it would help the flavors along, but no. The only thing they have going for them is the fresh made looking ramen noodles I noticed. If you've ever actually stepped foot inside of Japan, there are bowl of ramen worth $7 that have more flavor.

Les Filles is a charming establishment with locations in the heart of the European Parliament, the BELvue Museum, and in Uccle. The warm and family-friendly atmosphere invites guests to dine around large tables adorned with vintage frames and family photos. The menu features homemade, gluten-free dishes made from fresh, organic, local, farm-sourced ingredients.
We were very lucky to find this place. Away from tourist restaurant. The food is amazing. The service was excellent with personal touch.
Surjit R — Google review
Lovely restaurant with a refreshing ambience, friendly waiters and comfortable seating. The food is healthy with many vegan and gluten free options, many vegs, nothing fried or oily. Not a lot of choices given the price, hence over-priced for a brunch in my opinion. The price is €32pp for dishes as pic, also include bread choices, vegan yogurt, and any non-alcoholic beverage. The hot chocolate was average. Enjoyed the feeling of a unique lunch experience, but not my cuppa tea regarding the food, as more suitable for any person with vegan/healthy eating preferences.

Concept restaurant "the daughters" - supposed to, and feels like home. There's a kitchen on every floor with a stove where meals are cooked you walk up to the stove and serve yourself. Plates and cutlery supercilious vintage. Waitresses kind, serving and making you feel like at home.

Excellent food, great service and really recommended! They can also place big groups but you have to reserve in advance.

A very nice restaurant with a very simple menu and great service. Three of us had a very enjoyable dinner. They cater for vegetarians too. The dessert was very good and the location is very handy too. Definitely recommended.

Very friendly atmosphere and the food is delicious. One of those places you want to visit again and again.
Svetoslav S — Google review
Overall, the place is great. The service is lovely; the food is good and healthy; and the atmosphere is chill and cosy. Yet, I give three stars due to the price-benefit ratio: price per person is way to high. It is not worthy. The multiple course, buffet-like concept is only worthy under two conditions: being really hungry and having a veggie-like mindset. For example, one course which includes only soup is 19 Euros/21 US Dollars during luncg, no drinks included. On the other hand, that might be the cost of eating bio and gluten-free.

Garage à Manger is a popular spot, especially on weekends, perfect for hanging out with friends or family. It's directly connected to the famous Pele-Mele bookstore, so you can explore the kids' corner in the bookstore and then head down to Garage à Manger for some fresh and local food or a snack. The comfortable and kid-friendly decor, including an old hair salon area, will delight both kids and adults.
Very cute place that is good for families. The space is wide and has some room for kids to wander around. There are also low tables. The food was tasty, but for me the soup of the day lacked some flavours.
Omri R — Google review
Food is terrible. Drinks are super basic. Staff are not flexible at all and rude. If they make mistake with food, or salad has bugs or rotten leaves, or food has hair, they don’t even apologize. They just snatch the plates as if it is customer mistake. I have been to this place for lunch, at least 50 times because there are limited options near tenbosch park. Today is the last. Never again.
Shashi T — Google review
Utterly horrendous "food". They served my starving girlfriend one singular undercooked, unseasoned egg (actually less than one egg, it was mostly yolk and about half of the egg white boiled into a staggeringly uneatable witches' brew snot-thing), with a side of "parmesian crumble" of equal quality to the egg itself (basically cheese rind, also extravagantly unseasoned). It came with bread - a stale, weeks old imitation of real bread that would have been more useful to mix with cement and build the foundations of a house with. Atmosphere was nice though, and my cappuccino was not half bad (although making "bad" cappuccino would be a Herculean feat that, judging by the food, they'd be perfectly capable of achieving).
Yavor C — Google review
I was disappointed from the food at this place . It offers limited food items during lunch . The dupont beer is super light . They do not offer belgium french fries in brussels which is a shame. The lasagne was very saucy , the croque monsieur samdwich was okay , the salmon omlette platter was fade in terms of taste . The vegan steak was average served with a sweet tahini weird sauce thats not even called hummus . The decoration is urban , its nice for children .
Melted B — Google review
Agree with the comments about some of the staff being rude. I would have left if I wasn’t with my hungry children. The sandwich was nice but the mushroom soup was not tasty at all. There’s a small area for children to play which is nice but it is difficult to access this place with a pushchair.
Aaa0007 — Google review
Staff is 100% unfriendly and not flexible at all. Restaurant was COMPLETELY empty at 11 am on a Saturday, and I asked if I could spend 20 minutes (!) there having a coffee (standing, if needed, in case all 10+ reserved tables would show up at once) with my daugther DURING A STORM as we had no umbrealla. I was told "this is not a bar" and asked to leave, as the restaurant was fully booked (yet empty). Will do my best to never go back, although - good for them - there's no real choice in the area...
Luca — Google review
One set menu for lunch (2 starters, 1 main, 1 dessert). Choose between 1 and 4 courses ranging from 14€ to 22€. Food is "healthy", tastes ok. When we got there they had run out of Crème Brulée so we got a not so great chocolate mousse, so ask before you sit down. No tap water available, need to pay 4€ for 0.5l! Waitress was helplessly busy, took 20min to bring the bill. Not sure I would go again for that price.

Arepa's Factory is a Venezuelan restaurant located in Galerie Ravenstein, near Brussels Central station. They specialize in arepas, a corn-based bread stuffed with various fresh and delicious ingredients. The restaurant offers a variety of Venezuelan dishes such as empanadas, cachapa, tequenos, guasacaca sauce, soups, and fresh sugar cane juice. Customers appreciate the homemade food and gluten-free options available. However, some wish for longer opening hours to enjoy the food more frequently.
Wow - I was taken completely by surprise how good the quality and taste of the food was! Thank you! Staff was super nice, service quick and the place is really cosy. Only point is the Tequenos were a bit salty, but the avocado sauce made up for that.
Vero S — Google review
What a great find! I'm vegan and not only did I get a choice of options but a choice of vegan cheese for my Arepas 😁. Delicious, home cooked food served hot and fresh with care and love. Will return if we visit Brussels again
Helen B — Google review
We have been to this place many times and it never fails to deliver. This little Venezuelan restaurant serves delicious homemade food. You can try Venezuela's most famous dishes: arepas (savoury corn meal dough with savoury ingredients), empanadas (fried filled corn pastry), cachapa (sweet corn crepe with white cheese), tequeños (cheese fingers covered by pastry and deep fried), guasacaca sauce, soups, fresh sugar cane juice and so on. Even though this place serves traditional Venezuelan food, they also offer several vegan options and are eager to adapt any of their dishes and make it vegan without any fuss. The quality-price ratio is superb. If you would like a fresh Venezuelan meal in the centre of Brussels you should definitely try Arepa's Factory.

Wantany is a delightful gem that brings the essence of South Chinese cuisine to life with its homemade dumplings, crafted from scratch to highlight the rich flavors of their fillings. The atmosphere feels like a warm embrace, making it an inviting spot for anyone seeking comfort food. Each day, they prepare fresh dumplings that can be enjoyed in a soothing broth or as crispy fried starters.
Second time in Brussels and we came straight here. Staff great, food is fantastic, cannot recommend enough
Lauren B — Google review
The concept is nice with the dumplings. But they do lack some flavor in overall I thought the food was bland. The interior is nice though.

It was my very first time trying húntun (wontons), and I couldn’t have picked a better place! I ordered the fried ones, and the chef was kind enough to make me one of each so I could taste different fillings — such a sweet gesture 💛 Everything was absolutely delicious, and the duck soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. A lovely experience from start to finish!

Located in a lovely street, it's a family business and you can feel it through the food made with passion and the friendly service. You can (literally) see that the wantans are homemade, and they are delicious. Next time I'm in Brussels I'll definitely come back!

Nice wanton bar. Try have fried and steamed options. I wished they would offer a bigger wanton plate with the flavours one chooses. The existing boards have 3 of each, chicken (lacked a bit of distinction to the flavour), shrimp (pretty good), pork (quite nice) and vegetable (I did not enjoy this one). Wanton soup was not heavy, mostly vegetable based it seemed, the noodles themselves were nothing special. The lotus fries were quite good, but sauce should come separate and not on top. We got a reservation with The Fork and had 20% off (not on drinks, and they are pricy).
Lucia R — Google review
Great place for lunch. We had soups with chicken and pork dumplings. We could observe how dumplings are hand made at a nearby table.
Janis D — Google review
Walked in by myself and they could not have been more welcoming, offering me any open table of my choice. They did not have a straight ginger soda, but offered me alternatives including jury rigging something with fresh ginger. Super nice. The food itself reminded me of the noodles I would have from Hong Kong. Really pleasant broth and noodles, and very plump and delicious shrimp dumplings. In and out very quickly. If I lived here, I would definitely visit again!
Warren Y — Google review
Staff are friendly and welcoming! Selection of chicken, pork, shrimp or veggie dumplings (you can choose to have them steamed or fried). Nice amount of filling and well seasoned. Shrimp and chicken were my favourite. Service was very quick! If you are more than 2 people it’s best to reserve a table in advance as this place was busy by 20h! Jacq's is a cozy spot that offers overflowing grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade soups made with love. The menu features a variety of delicious options, including Chai Lattes and ginger infusions. The veggie grilled cheese sandwich is both tasty and generously sized, making it a satisfying meal. In addition to the great food, the coffee served at Jacq's is high-quality and comes with perfect milk froth.
Food: we didn’t try the sandwiches, but the coffee was of really good quality, with a clear difference in the foam for latte and cappuccino! One star for food less as there were multiple options on the menu that weren’t available Service: The service wasn’t outrageous, but it wasn’t nice either. The girls working there barely acknowledged our presence when we came in, and even being the only one inside we had to wait for a long time to order. They were also quite dry in their interactions. Atmosphere: both the inside and the outside of the cafe is very pretty and cozy, with enough seating spaces. The design is very coherent, and has a clear vibe.

Really good sandwiches and interesting fresh drinks menu. Busy spot during brunch/lunch times. Little pricey but sandwiches are big enough to share if you just want a snack. I've gotten the pastrami sambo twice now, it's excellent!

Quite expensive and not up to the standard. Took 20min to get our food and 25 to get coffee even thought it wasn’t so busy. English muffin was pretty good. The pastry was soft and dry.

The best grilled cheese toast I’ve ever had! I cannot describe its deliciousness with words, you must try this place if you are in Bruxelles and see by yourselves. Also, the place is very cosy and relaxing. Besides that, the staff is so nice and friendly, I’ve had some issues with my card payment and they were really helpful. 100% satisfied, I’ll definitely go again to taste other stuff
Caterina S — Google review
Great Place to grab a sandwich, especially when you are in a rush.they have also as more nice terrace with some chairs for the sunny days.
Belén L — Google review
The food is OK, not awesome like expected: the grilled cheese is really delusional, not so much cheese and not great taste. The coffee is not good, while the matcha latte was amazing! The problem is that to have 2 grilled sandwitches we waited for 45mins, I undestand that there are just 2 waiters doing everything but anyhow the waiting time was too long. And paying more than 40 euros for 2 sandwitches, 1 coffee and 1 matcha waiting all that time is not worthy. Sadly I do not recommend it.
Beatrice B — Google review
Passed by here on my way home from a yoga class and stopped to grab a Chai Latte and soup which I enjoyed. I really like the decor of the place - a lot of options on the menu sounded and looked pretty delicious. My neighbour took the ginger infusion which looked super good, will come back to try! The producers of most foods used is specified which I thought was quite nice. Service was very helpful and nice (despite working on a public holiday).
Valentina N — Google review
I would not recommend this place. It takes 20 minutes to deliver the coffee and then 1 hour for the food. The toast was way to crunchy, almost impossible to cut through it. Many people were waiting soo long for their orders. Besides prices are very high for the food you get, and a lot of products weren’t even available. 15 euros for just simple egg toast with bacon…crazy.

If you're wandering through Brussels and craving a taste of Italy, look no further than Capito Come. This charming Italian shop is renowned for its freshly baked ciabatta bread, which serves as the perfect base for their delectable sandwiches filled with high-quality ingredients. Available from noon onwards, these sandwiches are not just a meal; they’re an experience that you won't want to miss. Having lived abroad for nearly a decade, many visitors consider Capito Come one of the finest Italian shops they've encountered.
The best Italian épicerie in Brussels! Cesare and Jary are always the most kind and available hosts, offering advices and providing products from all over Italy which are not common to be seen outside Italy itself. Strongly recommended!!

The place is authentic Italian, everything is really delicious but the prices are a bit crazy, a peace of bread with olive oil oil and mozzarella cheese is 10 euro. I understand is capital but, it’s exaggerated. :(

Bought a rather pricey ricotta salata, only to discover it had been expired for over a month before I purchased it. The owner quickly apologized, blaming their supplier, but did not even have the decency to offer any compensation.

This is really my favorite place in Brussels! Since the opening I found not only the best Italian products but most of all the warm welcome of people who I can now call friends! I still and will always go there even if I recently moved to another neighborhood. I absolutely recommend Capito Come for your purchases but also to have a glass of excellent wine while pleasantly chatting with Cesare and all the other friendly habitués of the shop.

I've been living abroad for almost ten years now and I can say that this is truly one of the best Italian shops I have ever been to. Everything here is of the finest quality - you can tell that each product is careful chosen (but you can also find more commercial brands as well). The highlight of the shop are definitely the sandwiches: simply *the best*. I have already tried different flavors, but today's was fabulous (friarielli, smoked mozzarella and tomato). Highly recommend!
