The place is really good for breakfast/ brunch. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian dishes, add ons like eggs are also available. Their coffee and matcha are great, very bright and cozy.

Delicious food and great atmosphere!! Plenty of seating, very friendly and patient staff. Not super busy at 2pm on a Saturday, which surprised me for how good it was!! Our food arrived in less than 5 minutes of sitting down. Stylish decor, comfy seating, and pleasant music, and absolutely divine bagels. Highly recommend the apple and feta!!

I recently enjoyed some unforgettable French Toast that truly delighted my taste buds. It was absolutely delicious! The staff made the experience even better with their kindness and warm smiles. I genuinely believe this place deserves a chance.

Cute modern café, really spacious with a wide variety of food options. It's so worth spending the extra to sit in. Got the truffle chicken bagel and the French toast with their Belgian hot chocolates. The drinks were gorgeous and food was so so good. Really full and satisfied after our visit. This place is nice but way overpriced! 4,50€ for a flat white served in a tiny cup, that’s a ripoff! They’re playing the music very loudly, it’s a coffee shop not a discotheque! Last point, the toilets are disgusting which is a no-go for me.

We ducked into Belga & Co on a grim, rainy Brussels Saturday. Rue du Bailli gave us shelter. Belga & Co gave us… a good-looking mirage. Yes, the interiors are stunning, moody chocolate walls, gold ceiling, feature lighting, and a giant mask watching your plant based milk choices. But that’s where the magic ends. Sticky floors, stained menus, loud music, and zero sound absorption make for a chaotic experience. The seating? Cramped and borderline dangerous. I was perched on a stair-edge seat like a contestant in some caffeine-themed version of saw. The matcha was essentially green-tinted milk with commitment issues. The lemonade looked great but didn’t land. As for the coffee, it talks a big game, but tasted like something you’d grab at the airport while questioning your life choices. They claim no laptops on weekends, but enforcement was nonexistent. Belga & Co has the aesthetic, but not the follow-through. Would I return? Only for the lighting and a quiet identity crisis.

We stopped by on a sunny day and really enjoyed the terrace—it’s a lovely spot to sit and relax. They had two options for batch brew, a single origin and a blend. I went for the Ethiopian, and it was a good, solid cup of coffee—nothing groundbreaking, but enjoyable. My wife tried the lemon and turmeric cake, which was okay but not particularly memorable. Overall, a nice coffee stop with a great terrace and good specialty coffee.

It used to be a nice coffee place in the past. Now it looks like abandoned. Variety and quality of products dropped. Service sucks (they do not even bother cleaning the tables after a client leaving), dirty toilets. Pity cause the place used to have a nice vibe and for sure there's plenty of potential.

Belga is a hidden gem of a cafe. It’s easy to miss, only a small sign in the window. I discovered it by accident. Excellent coffee, served with a glass of water. A rarity in Brussels. Nice cakes too. Plus a loyalty card for regular customers. It’s listed in the European Coffee Trip app, which is a sign of quality. In summer you can take some rays in the small garden at the back, an oasis of calm in a busy area.

The coffee is amazing, and their banana cake is so fresh and good, and you dream of eating it. You can taske the ownmade one and not industrial one as most of the place. Great staff and the location allow you to work there as the music isn't too loud Oui.

This is a special review for me. I was lucky enough to spend 10 days visiting this shop daily. I must say that the customer service is the place's strong point. The people who work there have a very good sense of humor and a high energy that shows in their customer service. I had the opportunity to see the coffee bean brewing process, as they do it in-house, try their pastries, and I also used the shop as an office during that time, where I was able to enjoy the shop's great music, based on the vinyl collection they play on their record player. A great experience that I recommend to everyone. A must-visit if you're in Brussels. Again, and as I've told you every time I've been there: Thank you!

Busy cafe, lots lined up. Coffee is perfect and lots of snack options for all types.,in door seating and a very large patio on both sides of the store. Line was long but the wait was short as they move you quick and bring your drinks to your table. We had a cinnamon roll that was fresh and so tasty. Staff were upbeat and I would recommend to anyone who wants a great coffee and location.

The coffee at Café Capitale was excellent. I had a pour over from one of their Geisha coffees - it was a delicious, light, and delicate flavour which gained complexity as cooled. Quentin, the barista, was incredibly friendly - he talked to me about where the coffee was from, how the new flat-bottomed brewer he was using would result in a better cup for this particular coffee, and told me the exact brew ratios he was using. My wife ordered a chai, which was fine but lacked any kind of spice or bite - it was more liked sweetened and foamed milk.

We had a wonderful morning here, coffee was excellent and we also got a Portuguese tart and chocolate croissant which did not disappoint! We were visiting from Australia and the staff were friendly and accomodating to us only being able to speak English! Vibes were also awesome, the music was great and I think played through a record player which was cool.

My new favourite coffee spot in the neighbourhood. The baristas are genuinely friendly and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is outstanding, and the overall vibe is even better. I wholeheartedly recommend every coffee enthusiast to visit it, trust me you will not be disappointed. A special compliment for the music selection, played on a record player, which adds such a unique and charming touch to the ambience. It can get quite popular and busy tho, so perhaps not the best place for long meetings, and at the moment only coffee and baked goods are available there. I look forward to seeing the menu expand (please feed your hungry customers better)

The coffee was too acidic – even though I ordered a mocha, the acidity overwhelmed the chocolate’s sweetness and richness. The pastel de nata was delicious, but quite expensive. Two of them came to over 9 euros

Update: well, still really nice place to go but be aware if you go there on Sundays when its full, anything you order can be forgotten or a glass of wine can come 20 min later. So service must be improved!

A nice place to have brunch. Especially on their big terrace on sunny days. Even on Sundays where a lot of people come here to brunch you can easily have a table if you’re just with 2, but do make a reservation if you’re with a big group or on windy days because since it’s located in the center of a park you really feel the wind which makes sitting at the terrace a cold experience if you aren’t properly clothed. They have a weekday and weekend menu so do check it out in advance. It’s okay price & quality wise. The proportions seem small but they fill well and the food has flavor. Their mimosa is lackluster so for the mimosa lovers out there, take something else. Their staff lacks warmth in their service. Only the LGBTQIA+ waiter had a warm, welcoming and genuine service. The rest weren’t really approachable. It’s also one of these places where waiters are split to specific tasks and those tasks only, so not all of them are equipped to take your order. Thank goodness that even on a busy brunch Sunday the wait time isn’t long for food and drinks. Overall? It’s a place worth going for lunch, brunch or a chill date

The location is just perfect. A very appeasing setting by the park. Laid back atmosphere, earthy tones with the deep green clay like walls decor. La fabrique attracts you with its natural style textured decor but it will fail to make you want to come back with its food. The food looks great but taste from bland to bad. As simple as that. You will sit and look at the waiter deliver food to the surrounding tables, drooling over the colors in the plate. Eggs royal, crispy chicken, pain perdu, it looks soooo good. This is why the let down is powerful. How can such pretty plates have such absent, bland, indistinguishable flavors is beyond me. The avocado looks nice and limey green but the taste is unknown, the bun looks golden and glossy but the taste is absent, the chicken bun looks unlike chicken and I still haven't figured out what it tastes like... There are no flavors to this food although it looks great and that is the disappointment. The interior decorator of this place was skilled. The waiters and staff are laid back and that is cool for me. I don't like places where the waiters hover too much. The cook...man...no offense. This food is too pretty to taste this bad. The whole time I ate my food trying to find the positive aspects of it, beyond the look of it. I had to eat it because I paid for it too and it was edible, just not pleasurable in any aspect... It's not even that it's not fresh, to me the cook is absolutely unskilled in the flavor and textures department. In the end, this place sells you an Instagrammable setting but it's not giving "restaurant where they care about the actual taste of the food" I will still go back for a coffee or a drink. I will never feel the need to eat there again... The 2 stars for the food is for the effort of making it look good.

First time visiting this place was amazing, second time not so much. Told that there was a waiting time of 35 min for the food but we also had to wait the same amount of time for 3 simple drinks. Unfortunate that we were not helped the first time Food was excellent tho!

Nice atmosphere and all but please take service more seriously otherwise people can also buy a carrefour coffee and sit on benches. This is not an important story but an indicator of what is wrong with your service: A waitress came by to ask what I want, I asked for the menu, she seriously forgot to bring a menu (the bar 5 meters away from my table) while the cafe was mostly empty. She even walked behind me with 10 menus in her hand. I went and gave my order myself for the overpriced products. In this case I would prefer to have self-service and 1 euro cheaper prices.

Recently, I witnessed inappropriate behavior by a young waiter at your establishment. He was a dark-haired young man — the one on the left in the photo — and this can be verified via your security cameras. I have known this park and your restaurant for a long time, and you have always had staff who love and care for pets. However, I was deeply upset when I saw one of the waiters carrying a dark-colored bulldog named Edgar by the scruff of the neck, and when he put him down, he began squeezing and scolding the dog. I don’t know what was wrong with this waiter, but this clearly violates basic moral standards for the treatment of animals. I urge the restaurant’s owners to take this matter seriously.

Delicious food, amazing service, and great atmosphere. Huge thanks to Mila for making our experience so pleasant, she went above and beyond to help us and was very kind. We tried the avocado toast (big portion size) and a few pastries, everything was tasty. This coffeeshop was one of the highlights of our trip to Brussels, highly recommended.

toasts were generously filled with avocado, eggs on the side and a hot and cold beverage! we were visitinf brussels so my 2 friends and I went there on a sunday around 11am and it wasn’t too packed so definitely a nice area and spot to have breakfast/brunch!

I wanted to try a Belgian waffle for the first time and I had come across this place. I got the chocolate one and my mum got fruit. Honestly, the waffles were so good, and after trying like 3 different waffle places, this was the best one. Service was OK. The cafe was crowded and seems like a great place for studying.

Nice spot to grab a coffee, they also have food but I didn’t try it. I love the terrace as you have the cathedral just in front, ideal in sunny days. I went on a Saturday and was no crowded.

I don’t usually write comments, but this will be my first negative one. I ordered an Acai bowl (ingredients indicated on the menu: banana, raspberry, strawberry and almond milk). Unfortunately I did not get any bananas, instead they have just put some coconut flakes (which I don’t like) and the “acai” was completely liquid. Even if it is made with almond milk, it shouldn’t be liquid like a smoothie. On top of that, there is absolutely no taste of acai, it just tasted like a berry smoothie.

When they ask you about +$1.5 salad - say "yes", it is totally worth every penny. I'm vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. They have a wifi and a BATHROOM (for some reason bathrooms are a problem in Europe).

This spacious cafe is good to catch up with people, to work or to go on a coffee date. This place has several places to sit, inside and outside. It is a bit loud though since there are always quite a lot of people inside so keep that in mind prior to going here but it’s still okay noise wise to have a conversation. The food is good and you have several options. I ordered their pancakes with fruits and this is one of the only places that is generous with the fruit quantity because most places only add a ridiculously small amount of overpriced fruits, but not here so that’s awesome. I tried two of their fruit smoothies, the ‘Sunny’ and ‘Pura Vida’. Both were really good and tasted fresh. The service was not impressive and slightly average. Specifically at the till. The person was cold and unpleasant to order so they should work on that.

My mom and I went for Brunch there almost a year ago and still remember it. The food was soo good, and nicely presented. The place was nicely decorated and luminous. The coffe was delicious it was Overall a really nice experience. There was a lot of people working too. Overall it was a young atmosphere, good to read a Book, work a little or have a chat with friends. It is self Service.

The cafe has become a feature in BXL and was for years the standard setter for both coffee, sandwiches and brunching. It has survived the change of ownership and the menu has been rationalised, but is still good and the service is excellent even on busy Saturdays. It is popular for brunch and tables can’t be reserved so plan accordingly. NOTE: The cafe is currently undergoing renovation and I am giving 2-stars for the unacceptable lack of toilets - no explanations, no advertising and no apologies and no deals with the neighbouring cafes to allow spillover.

Extremely crowded every time It takes 25 mins to get a coffee. If you go with the take away option you have a 15 mins queue and then 20 minutes waiting time: absolutely not worth the wait. I wonder if they play domino / monopoly in the kitchen to take as long to get anything done.

Nice café to work with reasonably priced drinks. Quite unfortunately, though, half of the interior is currently closed off due to works, including the toilets!! For a place that hosts a lot of remote workers, it would be important to note this somewhere at the entrance so people are aware! Had to leave early because of this...

This breakfast and brunch places was the right recommendation for our start into the day. When the guests calm down it is a nice, calm atmosphere. The food and drinks were perfect and quite a big size! It might take a bit - especially the drinks - after ordering it since it gets quite busy. However, it was more than worth to wait. Addition: it is possible to order via the app or at the counter.

I recently visited HINTERLAND, a coffee shop that serves a wide variety of delicious coffee drinks and delectable food options. From sweet to savory, their menu offers something for everyone. One of the highlights of my visit was their amazing scrambled eggs. 🍳 The ambiance of the place added to the overall experience. With its cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a meal. The staff is indeed known for being friendly and accommodating. They create a welcoming atmosphere and are always ready to assist you with any requests or questions you may have.

Nice place to have brunch, good options but I must say not a long list to choose from still good variety. Food was very well prepared, fresh & tasty. Portions are good so dont worry about looking for food after eating here or you can share a portion among friends as well. We really enjoyed the coffee, smooth & creamy definitely recommend it.

Hinterland is a great place for brunch. I tried the delicious Strawberry French Toast. The brioche was almost perfect, although a bit soggy, which was unfortunate as everything else about it was perfect. The egg was nicely melted inside, and you could not taste it even though it was visible at the bottom side of the toast, which is unusual. Anyway, overall it was a great experience. Macha latte with coconut was also tasty. Service on a busy “Sunday without cars” was excellent too. Loved the place.

A lot of Vegan options which is very friendly to lactose intolerance people. Loved their matcha latte with coconut milk. The vegab pancakes are really good but a little to sweet to my personal taste. Payment can be done completely online.

The food was truly amazing! Portions are quite large which makes it easy to split it with your friends. There are also quite a lot of vegan options, which is always a big plus. Lots of space to sit, both inside and outside.

This was our last meal in Belgium, and the overall experience was absolutely perfect! Choosing this place before leaving Brussels was definitely the right decision. The barista was incredibly professional, the staff and food were excellent, and the environment was quiet, warm, and clean. My friend and I were very happy—we’ll definitely come back next time!

My flat white was prepared using the guest espresso, which the barista said was fruity with a high amount of acidity. It was a good cup but it wasn’t as fruity as I hoped for. On a side note, I thought the place is long overdue for a fresh paint and a deep clean.

My favorite coffee shop in Brussels. I went there a few times. The cortado was super, they know how to make it, and it is difficult to find it in France. I felt really comfortable and I was able to concentrate and write down my stuff. Really a great place! And croissants were delicious. Thanks!

Cinnamon bun was great and I love that it’s not crazy sweet or rich. The spice in the Chai latte could be stronger. Flat white was normal. Was a little noisy inside during one of my visits.

Rude girl working at the counter, no smile, no nothing. Looked like she was doing us a favour. Terrible scrambled eggs that resembled vomit (see attached picture). A fried explicitly asked for gluten free option and got two slices of normal bread in the plate within food.

It took a few years before this place hired a staff trained to make a coffee. Unfortunately now after a summer break the place probably changed the owner and we are back to bad coffee quality. While making cappuccino, Lady burns the milk and because it therefore won’t make a froth, she pours the burned milk in your coffee and using a spoon adds the bubbly milk matter on top. Then you go and burn your mouth. PLEASE LEARN HOW TO MAKE a COFFEE!

Ordered a too good to go. I arrive and they tell me they have no pack to give me even though they advertised 2 packs on the app. A lot of food available in the establishment, just did not want to give up anything that does not perish today exactly. I told her they should then set it on a day to day basis depending on whether they have something left or not. Never coming back. Wasted my time. Advertising a service you know you will not be able to offer should carry a penalty from the application.

I was told not to go there because it was too pricey and that the service was equivalent to a zero on google. Yet, this was a Sunday afternoon, everything was closed and needed something to eat on the go. When I decided to enter this overly priced shop, I did not expect to have such an unreal conversation with a blunt employee (see below, if you bother to read how rude employees at Leopold cafe interact with customers). They are impolite (beyond repair) and I hope this place closes soon to be taken over by people who treat customers well (we are even ready to pay more for good service). Tip: Do not hesitate to ask for your money back in case you meet that rude employee. They should learn that a customer base is earned by being nice with them and that money will stop flowing when you start treating your customers badly. Basic principle. Another tip: you are allowed to refuse food before you eat it if it does not meet your requirements or the menu description. In their case, please refuse it. In that cafe, it rarely meets minimum standards. Another observation from other reviews: the owner also seems passive agressive as you can tell from their reply to reviews. No wonder that employee acts the same. Tone at the top. Anyway, good luck! Never again! Here is the chain of events (be ready, its unreal - The worst thing is that you pay for it): I choose the protein yogurt, pay 9.5€, wait. I get a bowl of yogurt, which looked quickly and carelessly done (there was one strawberry on it and barely any peanut butter as advertised on the menu. Cutting costs, ladies?). I am told "good bye", but I ask for a spoon to eat my yogurt (to go, remember?). The person who serves aggressively asks me: Why do you want a spoon? I reply, to eat the yogurt I just paid for. Her reply: we have none; eat it with a fork. I reply I am not interested in eating with a fork, but need a spoon. Her reply "Too bad, we have none". I ask to be refunded. She refuses. She offers an actual spoon from her store, letting me know she will not go bankrupt if she gives me a spoon, but that I still need to return it. I tell her I am not interested in returning a spoon. I paid 9.5€, not to add extra work to my day. She says: keep it. I reply : no thank you, keep your food, refund me. Her boss (I can't tell if she is, given her lack of engagement with customers and her lack of reactions in front of her employee's lack of professionalism) looks at me with disdain and shows her how to do it. I got refunded. Don't go. Weird experience. Definitely not a feel good place. Avoid at any cost (and at that place, the cost is very high!).

Lovely café, but we waited over 40 minutes for breakfast. The chef didn’t seem to know exactly what was on the breakfast menu — fingers crossed the food’s worth it!

I am sorry. This was by far the worst toast I had in my life. The bread was cold and hard, probably toasted but then left to harden for 15min. The Avo was so few and thin that you almost not tasted it. And this for 11€ !! That’s a joke! Never again.

Try saying that without smirking. It sounds like a cartoon sidekick, but these guys are not playing. Everything here — from the vibrant red interior and curvy counters to the cult-status branded cups is slick, playful, and totally dialled in. It’s branding that bites back (in the best way). I kicked off with my usual iced oat latte, and *damn* that house espresso blend sings. Deep, floral, a touch of funk, and somehow still punching through the oat milk like it had something to prove. Then came **the matcha revelation**. Which, for me to say, is… rare. Ceremonial-grade matcha shaken with a spoonful of their own peanut butter. Earthy, rich, a little wild and completely unexpected, like green tea got a gym membership and a makeover. I’m not even a nut butter obsessive and it still slapped. Even the kombucha’s got hazelnut butter in it. I don’t know who gave them permission, but it works. The carrot cake? Looked humble. Tasted elite. Light spice, moist crumb, and a buttercream swirl that knew exactly what it was doing. The seating’s mostly stools but surprisingly comfy. Outside, there’s a small street-facing setup that catches the sun, nothing postcard-worthy, but it does the job. Inside, it’s part café, part concept store, part merch corner. Shelves of nut butters, beans, t-shirts, tote bags. If you’ve ever wanted to leave a coffee shop with almond butter and a logo cap in matching fonts, this is your moment. Final verdict? A standout Brussels café that genuinely earns its hype. It’s niche, it’s nutty, and it’s fully committed to the bit. Come for the coffee, stay for the surprise nut butter in everything.

This café is so cute and colorful! Their peanut butter seems to be a popular item. The coffee is high-quality, and the matcha chocolate is delicious. There’s lovely seating and fresh air, perfect for enjoying a smoke outside. The café is pet-friendly and even offers treats for dogs. Highly recommend this place if you want to buy coffee beans, cocoa, or peanut butter!

Such a clever combo—a nut butter atelier and specialty coffee shop in one, and they’ve really nailed both. The nut butters are top quality and the coffee is fantastic. I couldn’t resist the Peanut Butter Pat Milk Moccachino—it felt like a meal in itself but tasted natural and delicious, even though I usually stick to black or simple milk coffee. The space has a really cool design concept that ties everything together and makes it a pleasure to hang out and shop.

Really love this place, from the aesthetic interior design, to the coffee and pastry selection, and the outdoor seating! Highly recommend the Mocha and the pain au chocolat, they make it with this amazing praline hazelnut chocolate that makes it super tasty. I also love some of the small details like the names and nationalities of your servers « buddies » for the day are on the wall, so it makes it easy and nice to make convo with staff. Overall a delicious experience!

This place was amazing! As a peanut butter lover and coffee lover I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place! I also purchased two of their homemade peanut butters. Can’t wait to bring it back home and try to make peanut butter coffee myself! Will be back!! If you come for your morning coffee, make sure you check if the drink you want has coffee in it! Buddy Buddy is an adorable all vegan coffee shop! We stopped in for a coffee & one of their famous sweet treats! The place oozes with fun colors, and funky minimalist vibes. The vegan latte was great & the sweet treat was amazing! The dough was flakey, buttery & stuffed with chocolate & nut butter. What a perfect breakfast before venturing around Brussels for the day! Love that this all vegan spot is around in a not so vegan friendly area!

Went for a quick breakfast. Cozy place. Very professional and skilled personnel. Food was very tasty and vegan. Signature coffee, tea and matcha available. The concept is nuts and nuts butters, in drinks and food, so if you don't fancy that, consider skipping it.

Very lovely cafe with selected goods of high quality. I like the capuchin & pain au chocolat. Wanted to try other things but I was full already . Nice multiple levels of seating and cute cozy yet spacious pathways to move around ! Simple steel plates reminded me of Indian cafe , the coffee mugs were beautiful with cute words carved on it . Dropped by BOUCHE Specialty Coffee in central Brussels for a quick summer pick-me-up. I went for the iced matcha latte (€5), refreshing and smooth, though I was hoping for a bolder matcha punch. It’s a cozy spot that's clearly popular with tourists and expat locals alike. Outdoor seating’s available, but a bit too dusty for my summer vibes, so I’d recommend grabbing your matcha or coffee to go. Still, definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the area!

Very slow service, tables not cleaned up for several minutes despite of having at least 3 staff members, waiting at their front desk to be served. One toilet, small and a little bit dirry. Despite of that, the decorarion is very beautiful and comfortable chairs, with a terrace outside. The hot beverages were ok, up to the usual good standards of this chain of Cafes. I love the Tintin references, with toys and other memorabilia, and books for kids. The location is great and the area is calm and perfect to chill out and relax

Tried this cafe for brunch this morning and it was charming! I had a pink lady smoothie and avocado on toast. It was delicious. Definitely worth a visit!

Perfect for a short visit by yourself to finish a deadline because the clientel is not noisy. No service at the table and nice terrace with sun light in the morning and afternoon. I prefer to sit outside at the terrace with a view on Plasky square. During rush hour the traffic can be disturbing if you are trying to work though.

Cuty place, cool indoor design, nice terrace outside, bagels with chicken and cheddar was a gem, salad portion could be made a bit bigger, waiter with goldilocks healthy hair was a star! Excellent place indeed.

We tried out their brunch and everything was mediocre. The eggs were way overcooked, the croissant was nothing special and two or three items were initially missing from our order. We got them after pointing it out and got a complimentary drink for our trouble though, so there's that, but generally speaking the place felt a bit disorganised. For the price we paid, the quality was way below our expectations. At least the double espresso I ordered was pretty decent, which was actually surprising given the little care that went into making it...

Delicious food, the lady told me they had no vegan bagel options although I’m sure they could have done one with hummus and salad. The bagel my sister got was (according to her) the best she’s ever had, so props to them! The only problem was the açaí bowl, it was really really not good. The rest was great and the environment was super cool!

I had the Pancake with bacon that was very good and was happy to see they did not skimp on amount of bacon on the pancake. Ate outside on beautiful day and enjoyed my time very much. Service was good, no complaints. As this is a touristy area, expect to pay 20-30 euro for 1 person with drink for brunch.

I went to Woodpecker 47 for brunch and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious — hearty, well-presented, and full of flavor. We ordered the Magic Mushrooms, which is eggs Benedict with mushrooms served on a waffle, it is absolutely delicious! The mushrooms were full of flavor, and the salad on the side complimented the dish perfectly. The eggs and mushrooms together were cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. We also tried the eggs Benedict with salmon, also served on a waffle. It was rich and tasty, though the salmon was a little on the fishy side. Still, everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and overall an excellent experience. All dishes come with a fresh salad on the side, which is a nice touch. For drinks, I had the orange juice and my friend got the homemade iced tea, we both really enjoyed them.

We stopped for a quick coffee which was exceptional but were so drawn by the great plates that we decided to stay a tad longer to grab a bite. It’s has a great menus and I missed taking the pictures of the avocado toast and the granola bowl, both of which we would highly recommend. And of course the highlight was the Burrata!!! I just hope the service was more efficient. We had long waits between our orders. I do hear it’s an amazing place for breakfast so that’s what we would do next!!

really tasty waffles, I had the savoury dish "summer brunch" which was leek waffles (not overpowering), poached eggs and courgette with a curried sauce - was different and really enjoyed it! Also had a golden latte which was really good.

I went there early in the evening. It was already packed with people and we picked up the last table available. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is great. But it was really noisy and we didn't stay for a long time. It's a nice spot for a quick drink but be aware that you will pay as much as in the center of Brussels.

I have been going there over 20 years as a local. Having worked as a head barman in hotels and bars UK and Brussels over 20 years. I fully know respect and quality of service to customers. I went here on 11/09/25 at around 4/5pm with no customers in the bar. I politely asked the young server for a Gueuze Boon. He poured me a Gueuze Lindemans, a completely different drink. When I asked to change it, he said it was the same make, not much difference. I then asked him to change it for a Boon as I asked. He rolled his eyes, slammed an empty glass down and went to get my drink..., like I was an idiot. I told him to stop, he had a bad attitude and I asked for the manager. The manager then asked the server what happened. The manager then came back to me, and in front of other customers, said it was my fault for being angry. He not only sided with his server, he embarrassed me in front of the customers. Neither me or my friends will ever drink there again. Obnoxious, arrogant and down right rude!

Good craft beers, service at the bar. I dont know if they do food. Free wifi. Nice warm wooden interior, comfy places to sit. Big windows. Big outside terrace with wooden chairs and tables.

Spacious place with good internet network available. Many people come here with their laptops to work. It’s bar service, and people at the counter are nice and friendly. Croque Monsieur was very tasty. The soup of the day was cauliflower Indian style soup and it was very well seasoned. Lasagne was also good, tasted fresh, the edges were a bit dry and burned, but overall it was delicious. Prices are fair. The “Chose” juice was a great finding.

At first I guess since there were lots of people, the staff may have been overwhelmed which can be understandable...they we sat inside but they have a nice terrace in the back! They got one of our drinks wrong, and looked annoyed when we asked for another one (if we were in the wrong we would pay for the other drink, but we just weren't), and five minutes later we got the pancakes, very rich in taste, the fruits and syrup too! Even though the service wasn't too good but not bad enough for us to be disappointed the drinks and food were great!

Great place to enjoy your coffee and grab something to eat. Everything we had was tasty and well cooked, portion sizes were okay. Cafés in Belgium have a legal duty of care to warn customers about potential hazards such as wet floors, which should be clearly indicated through visible signs or notices. If the terrace was closed for safety reasons, a simple sign at the entrance or on the menu would have avoided this entire situation. The lack of apology in your reaction speaks for itself. Initial review: Cup 28 advertises its terrace as a key feature, with photos and tables clearly set up outside. After ordering my coffee at the bar and taking it outside (self-service), a staff member rushed over to say the terrace was closed — though there was no sign or indication. I was told to sit only on the smoker bench (also outside). When I mentioned I specifically came for the terrace, the answer was simply “No, it’s closed, otherwise other customers will also go sit on the terrace.” The café looks cute, but being made to feel unwelcome for sitting where it’s visibly open is not customer-friendly. Especially when it’s only a drink that I’ve ordered and carried myself to the terrace. A simple sign on the terrace door and menu could avoid this situation.

I had high hopes for brunch at Poz, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. While the coffee was decent, the food itself was on the lower end of what Brussels has to offer for brunch. However, the biggest issue by far was the service. We didn’t have to wait long for a table, which was a good start, but things quickly went downhill after we ordered. We ended up waiting over an hour for our food—without any prior warning about delays. After 45 minutes, we asked about our order and were reassured that it was coming “right now.” Yet, we still had to wait another 15+ minutes. Had the staff informed us upfront that the kitchen was backed up, or even updated us during the wait, we would have taken it much differently. The lack of communication was simply unacceptable and made for a frustrating experience.

What a fabulous place to go to. You just have to stop here and have brunch. The seating arrangements could be improved as everyone is a bit cramped and the tea / v60 I had wasn’t really the best. Maybe it was my ordering as the latte’s and flat whites looks real good. But the food was to dies for. I had the Belgian waffles with eggs and bacon and so on and I loved it! The waffles where real tasty, the bacon crisp, the eggs fluffy - love it love it love it! My parter had the veggie bagel and it also was real tasty. They also roast they’re own beans and have a range of homemade cakes that you should def dig into. The two ppl running it are extremely nice and super helpful. Prices are ok and considering the quality of the food I’d say it’s great value for money.

Food was ok, but the coffee was terrible, I'm not sure if it was too bitter, burnt or the milk was off but it was terrible. It was also over priced and the service was slow. The atmosphere is quite loud if there are large groups so it can be quite hard to hear if you just want somewhere quiet to catch up with people.

Easily one of the best coffeeshops in the city. The coffee was splendid, and the experience was pleasant as well. The owner is a very nice Japanese lady, who clearly cares a lot about coffee.

Had a really good brunch. Unfortunately, there are no gluten-free options, and this was very difficult even though their menu mentions at the bottom if you have any allergies as us anout it. However, the kitchen was very nice to make a salad with the same ingredients as the sandwich i wanted. Unfortunately, the service from our waitress was very disappointing. She was not very kind or friendly. One time, she cut my friend off as she was talking to her and walked away when she simply wanted to ask a quick question. The rating would have been higher if the service was a little better. The food is also a bit on the pricy side. Friendly service. I really liked the hot chocolate. I wasn't a big fan of the homemade ice tea, but maybe that's on me because I have been trying many homemade ice teas at places all over and I've actually never liked any; I should order something else 😅 The food was great! I really liked the grilled cheese, the potatoes and bacon, and the fregola. The pancakes could have used something extra as I found them a bit lackluster. The price is reasonable. You get a small flag with your name on it, which I thought was funny. I'll definitely be coming back. We had to sit outside, so the recommendation of other people to make a reservation during the weekend should be taken seriously.

The atmosphere of the breakfast pub itself is very pleasant. We were disappointed with the service after about 15 minutes of waiting to place an order no one came to us, we also had to get the menu ourselves. You write down the names for your order on cards, this was also mixed up. The service is very chaotic. The food looks delicious but we only liked the toast and the egg. There are a lot of things to improve in this place.

Chose this place for my lunch, seeing good reviews. I was very disappointed, the only thing I could choose here for lunch was soup. As a drink I took iced matcha. It was brought fast and the matcha was nice, so nothing bad here. However soup was very watery with big clumps of something, I guess it was supposed to be cream soup but was not mixed properly. Was served with bread, so the only thing makes you less hungry was bread but come on. You don't come to a cafe for lunch to eat just bread. Adding photos. Spent 13,5€, left hungry and dissapointed. Had to go for another lunch. P.S. changed it to 1 star. As from my bank account they took 13.5€, but on the check they gave me it is 12.5€. Feels like a scam.

A group of 40 of us (although there was space for more) hired out all three floors of the venue for the whole day. Mona and the team at Le Phare couldn't have been better or more helpful - especially working to ensure we were within budget. We also loved their sustainable ethos, which really fitted in well with what we were trying to achieve. The day of workshops and presentations was a huge success, concluding with drinks of the terrace. Highly recommended!

Cosy atmosphere; very very relaxed (shabby chick); seemingly second hand or third/fourth hand furniture; which guves an impression of relaxation also because of earthly but lighter colour tones; some dried flower arrangements on the bar; super great muscavado sugar; good tasty coffee and good hot chocolate; creamy milk. Super friendly waiters!

Coffee and pastries were average, the cinnamon bun was a bit dry. The garden could be very cozy but the seating areas are not comfortable and it looks more like a construction materials/garbage dump.

Good coffee, homemade treats and a cosy ambience is what you get at Fika! I’ve previously tried their cinnamon buns but this time grabbed a slice of their almond-poppy seed-dark chocolate cake (gluten free) and absolutely devoured every bite. The cafe has a charming terrace with little benches strewn around.

"Fika" is the Swedish word for the concept of taking a break while drinking coffee accompanied with a sweet treat and/ or a good chat. I think it is the perfect name for this café. It is a little hidden gem, the kind of coffee place I would like to see more in Brussels. . They focus on good, fresh coffee and homemade (delicious) baked goods. You go there to enjoy your cup and a snack in a calming and lovely atmosphere. Especially if the weather is nice, you can sit in the backyard as if you were in your own garden.

One of the good coffee shops in Brussels. We have been here twice now. The coffee is amazing. The price is very reasonable. The only disadvantage I find of this place is the seating area. There is not a lot of seating area. But besides that it is an amazing coffee house. We also tried the cashew cake which was also very delicious.

My ultimate favorite place in Brussels for lunch! Super friendly staff, cosy & homy atmosphere and most of all: great food! The portions are more than generous, the ingredients are varied and fresh. The plates look beautiful & colourful. When the sun’s out, the terrace is the best place to be 🤩 The forestier toast is my personal favorite.

We had a great brunch at Table Rustic. We choose the 29,9€ deal include pastries and breads + chia pudding or greek yogurt + a choice of main dish, coffee and cold drinks. We left full and satisfied. I highly recommend the dhal lentil w/ roasted sweet potato and spinach dish. The interior is very cozy and spacious(2 floors restaurant), well located and easy access by tram.

Walked by this enchanting coffee brunch house while staying in Brussels and absolutely fell in love with the winsome interior design. Ordered a coffee to go and regret not staying and immersing ourselves in the warm and inviting surroundings. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was very good.

The service was a bit slow when I was there on a monday morning, better to come with some time to spare, just in case. But definitely a great place to go for Brunch!

One of my favourite brunch spots in Brussels. Every Sunday they have a brunch menu for €30 incl. a plate, hot drink, cold drink (smoothies, juices), yoghurt, viennoiseries and dessert. Happy food coma guaranteed. Warm home atmosphere, fit for large groups (large wooden tables available upstairs). Service depends per day on the mood of the servants though

This is probably one of my favorite brunch places in Brussels! They just have amazing food! We went for one of the brunches and for an “eggs” dish (photos below). I will not talk too much about this place and I’ll let you scroll through the photos! Deserts are also great! I attached also the menu from July 2020 so that you can check also the prices (I would rank it around medium+ but the quality of the food is really wow). A definitely must try if you live in Brussels or if you travel and have a bit of time for a Brunch. Location wise it’s excellently positioned so you can just take a break from a Saturday shopping session and grab a delicious brunch. The hosts speak FR/EN (I guess also Dutch) and they also have the menus in different languages, so it’s easy to get around and order.

You know how sometimes a place is amazing at first because it's new and popular but then the novelty wears off - and the excitement wears off with it? That is NOT the case with Barkboy. The service is very friendly and their drinks and cookies / buns are consistently top quality. The oatmeal & choc chip cookies and the white choc & cranberry cookies are delicious and not overly sweet or dry. Just perfect. The drinks are fantastic - we've tried multiple - both cold and hot. Love that you can choose other milk options at no extra cost. Their freshly pressed grapefruit juice is also a very nice change and perfect on warm days. An absolute fave place from the start. No place like it in the city. P.S. As it happens for good places, there's often a line here but it is 100% worth the wait.

Some people clearly brought their work to do, and it seems a fabulous place to do that. Others (like us) were able to enjoy a quiet coffee.

This was a decent place serving a variety of coffees and drinks and a good selection of pastries. When I arrived on a Thursday, before noon, there was a queue to the door (the cafe is on the smaller side). It was a 5-10 minute wait to order and 5 minutes before I got my drink (takeaway). My pastry (takeaway) was served at the register. I ordered an iced chai latte for takeaway and their apple & oat crumble. Their apple & oat crumble was yummy! It would have been even better warmed. Their iced chai was not good and I wouldn't order it again. It tasted subltly of cinnamon and strongly of milk. The taste of spices was negligible. If I were to order it again I'd order it hot and in-house. It's a nice cafe by the station. A nice place with nice seating thats a great place to talk with a small group and enjoy a pastry. :)

We love the vibe here. The London cappuccino (earl grey) and hot chocolate were both very good. The walnut chocolate cake was also delicious.

Visited on a weekend when the place felt pretty empty. The frittata was really unappetizing and the pistachio pastry tasted stale. We waited ages for an espresso that never came because their machine broke down - no alternative offered or any kind of compensation, so we ended up with bottled water instead. The political messaging around the place also made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. There are much better coffee spots in the area. A comment based on the rude response of the owner - Your response sadly mirrors the rudeness I experienced from your staff when I visited — when I simply asked for a coffee, I was bluntly told the machine wasn’t working, with zero courtesy. I mentioned that I found your political statement troubling — not because of its content alone, but because, to my knowledge, no similar statements were made by your establishment regarding other global injustices. As a pediatrician serving a diverse population of all backgrounds and nationalities, I strive to view complex situations with empathy and nuance. Your message felt shallow and one-sided, more concerned with gaining cheap popularity than expressing a genuine moral stance. I am sure your voice was not raised for women persecuted in Iran, for LGBTQ+ people denied basic rights under Palestinian leadership, or for victims of other regimes that systematically crush dissent. This selective outrage leads me — regretfully — to consider that your motivation may not be a consistent concern for human rights, but something more troubling. As a Jew, and the descendant of many who were murdered in your country during darker times, I can’t help but feel that this kind of targeting contributes to the same dangerous pattern of scapegoating under the guise of “justice.” I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect — and consider the broader consequences of your words and actions.

Stopped by this cozy café during a weekend day tour in Brussels. It’s conveniently located near the station and was quite lively when we arrived. They offer a great variety of pastries, including plenty of vegan and lactose-free options — and they’re dog-friendly too.🐶We tried the moccachino and choco coco rolls, and it turned out to be the perfect combo! 🤎

A very nice vegetarian food and sweet cafe. Meat lovers there is no Boudin here 😂 the name comes from a cafe in San Francisco. I had the soup of the day very tasty and delicious. The matcha and coffee were good too ! It was very busy at lunch time !

Great discovery! As I work nearby I came here for a chai and a snack. Great choice of different pastries, a lot of vegan and lactose free options. Some are gluten free too. If you want the most choice it’s best to go in the morning. Amazing service, super friendly. I came back once to take a sandwich which was also very good. Will try to come back to try some lunches and other dishes like waffles - kitchen opens at 12h.

We tried their breakfast plate both vegan and scrambled eggs. Mushrooms are delicious ! Sour but also creamy. I think the best part of the plate is mushrooms ! They are so friendly. Atmosphere is fresh and comfortable. There are one of my favorite spots in Brussels now

Nice location and a pleasant space. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I ordered a V60 and it arrived lukewarm, which was surprising given the €7 price tag. In hindsight, I would have preferred the batch brew. The café also wasn’t even half full at the time, so it didn’t feel like it was simply because they were busy. With a bit more attention to preparation, this could easily be a much better spot.

We had the best and sweetest experience here! Such an underrated cafe and workspace ! I wanted to try out matcha, and turns out I don’t really like it (although the coffee and chai were such gems here! So it’s probably my own taste that is the problem 😅), but still the staff offered me an iced tea so I could have something tasty to drink! So nice! We really enjoyed the work space, so budget-friendly and quiet! We will come back to taste everything they have on the menu. Also their brownies are to die for 🤗💚

Small V60 and friendly staff, but there's some confusion about the distinction between the co-working area and the regular coffee seating. I wasn’t informed about the fee until I had already sat down upstairs and ordered my coffee. There was no signage indicating a special charge, and the staff only mentioned it after I was seated, requesting that I pay the €12.50 co-working fee or move to the downstairs area (with option to use laptop also there). When I relocated to the ground floor, I opened my laptop, as they had told me it was fine to do so. However, shortly after, they informed me that laptops are only allowed at a small table near the entrance, not at any of the other tables. The lack of clear communication and inconsistent rules made the experience frustrating. Most venues have clear stickers on tables or some poster, it was missing here. I paid €6 for a V60, which was good but small compared to what I've had elsewhere (in center of Brussels or Antwerp). While the place has a cute vibe and the staff is pleasant and knows about coffee, clearer guidelines for customers would improve the overall experience. I was really excited to try this place, but I’m leaving feeling like I broke the rules—and after having the most expensive and tiniest V60 of my life. I carefully read all the signs about laptop use and made sure to follow them, but the lack of clear communication still left me feeling frustrated.

I have yet to find a better matcha almond latte than the one at Jackie’s. 🍵👌 I especially appreciate their attention to proper tea brewing and the high quality of their ingredients. 10/10 🌟

Very nice place! With some delicious pastries. The lady was really friendly. And a very cosy atmosphere! If you need a nice break this is the place to go!

Unusual cookie flavours (I will try the pistachio one next), nice spot with nice staff. The must are the filled ‘choux’, that are not overly sweet which is much appreciated. Quite pricey, but a nice treat from time to time. You can also have a cup of tea or coffee while enjoying your sweets. Their homemade sorbets are very nice as well.

Came in and had a pumpkin spice latte and a flan. Both were delicious. The seating upstairs is calm and beautiful. Highly recommended!

A cozy place with friendly staff. I tried the Crème brûlée donuts which is seasonal, they are crunchy in the outside and creamy inside. Not too sweet, I would highly recommend if you have a chance to try 🙌🏼 Also the cookies are delicious too. Taste gooey and moist, exactly what I looking for!

Such a cozy and friendly place to stop by for some sweets. We initially went to try their Choux pastry. While it was delicious, the matcha cookie ended up being our favourite treat!

The space is nice, there are two floors, upstairs there are many tables and a good view, downstairs there are others tables and the bar. The food's quality is ok, but it is a little expensive. The wifi is poor, but it is a good place to work.

Mediocre place. It has not much character and atmosphere. The service is far from enthousiastic and friendly. We had a cappuccino which was made in a few seconds. It goes without saying it was a Bad quality drink. It might be good place to spend a day working and using wifi for one or two drinks but don't expect a charming place.

Not too bad. Atmosphere is fine, bright and comfortable. I had to drop 2 stars because when it was a little busy (70% full) the download speed was a lousy 0.6 mbps, while the upload was screaming fast. At close when it was empty the download speed was super fast. Clearly they need better capacity.

Very nice and clean place to have a coffee,tea, dessert or even lunch. It's spacious, calm enough to work, the wifi connection works well and the personnel is very friendly! I always enjoy my time here.

Working meeting place, good coffee and snacks. Obviously the Internet connection is great. It does have a relaxed office atmosphere. Lots of space and big tables also a few easy chairs and newspapers.

Where to start. This is supposed to be a place to relax and focus, right? Well, good luck with that : the place features loud dance music, dim lights and poor wifi. On top of this, food is EXTREMELY expansive and you have to order every 2 hours! I really wanted this place to work for me because I love the concept, but I would never recommend this place as a study/work oriented café.

This place is pretty great for work. Wifi at the moment is 20mbps to download, 17 to upload. They have yummy bagels available before 2:30pm. Lots of different spaces and table sizes, with tons of plugs against the walls. Music low or non-existant. Coffee is the only thing that lets this place down, but it’s a good spot to work and focus.

Had some eclairs and sweet treats. Nice staff. Little selection after noon unfortunately. Good thing: change machine to avoid touching money and food.

We tried the pastel de nata and a pastel de feijão; a novel and tasty experience! The egg custard for the former was creamy and contrasted nicely with the crisp flaky tart shell. The white bean almond tart served a subtle marzipan note.

Blown away by this authentic and modern piece of Portugal in the heart of Brussels. Just love it.
