A very nice stop along the way. Outdoor tables to sit and enjoy some beers and small bites. Service was kind and knowledgeable. Today's tastes were the XX Bitter, the Kriek cherry lambic, and a simple wit. There is also a small plate menu with quiche, fries, and other enjoyments.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed a foreigner staring at me—turns out it was because of my Jing-A jacket! 😂 After chatting, I found out he’s actually the owner of Sweden’s Apex Brewery, who just did a collab at 8x8 last week! If you’ve already checked off Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Boerenerf and Delirium in Brussels, this place is definitely worth a visit. About half of their tap list is lambic, usually around €6–7 per glass. Interesting selection of craft beers managed to find something I liked - the bar staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Good outside area to enjoy drinks in the sun and shade from the large umbrellas

One of the top beer bars in the city and happened to be around the corner from my hostel! An extensive tap list with a lot of quality and an obvious emphasis on Belgian beers. A great vibe inside and outside on a beautiful day and friendly, helpful staff. About as good as a beer bar gets. Came back for a second visit and would be a regular if I lived nearby. Bravo!

A la Mort Subite in Brussels is on the map; it’s well-known and frequented by locals and tourists alike. At more than 115 years old, this Brussels institution has a history of welcoming writers, those in business and more. Go there to step back in time and admire the tall ceilings and the old posters adorning the walls. Have a kriek (cherry beer), or any other beer or glass of wine. Beers can be served in three sizes. Speaking of sizes, the food portions are respectable including when you order a portion of bread (for a small fee) - the slices of bread are gigantic. The team working at A La Mort Subite are used to the crowds and do their best to find empty tables / seats for those just entering and they are prompt with delivering orders. For the nostalgia, the beer and the food, definitely visit A La Mort Subite in historic Brussels.

An old establishment with a lot of history. It was nice to come.and try their beer. The prices are a little too high and the beer was not as cold as expected. The service can be better.

This is the worst food I’ve ever had! It’s way too expensive. The wine they served wasn’t even authentic, and it’s cheaper in the supermarket. 😓😓 The horse meat was almost raw and bloody, and the beef stew was too sweet. I feel like I completely wasted my money. On top of that, the female waiter was very rude.

An old place in Brussels city center that’s been around for 100 years. The vintage interior, with its weathered tables and chairs, makes its age immediately apparent. But it seems to have lost some of the old-world charm and courtesy it once embodied. The wait staff are indifferent—and worse, they seem downright miserable. I don't expect anyone to fall at my feet and butter me up but you’d think a smile wouldn’t be too much to ask. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, but at these prices, you’d naturally expect better service. Food and beers are overpriced compared to elsewhere. Not worth the cash or the attitude. Just snap a photo and bounce.

We were a group of around 8 people and still managed to get a table for all of us. The food tasted really good – I had the salmon quiche. The prices are on the higher side, but as a tourist in Brussels, I can't say for sure if that's typical for the city. Nice place with a good selection of Belgian beer and snacks. What I find really strange and inappropriate is that, as a group, we were not allowed to split the bill — we had to sort it out among ourselves. For this point, minus one star.

A few days back, we found ourselves once again drawn to the timeless charm of À La Mort Subite, one of Brussels' most iconic beer cafés. Known for its classic Belgian atmosphere, rich wooden interiors, and an impressive selection of traditional brews. Hapkin (on tap) A strong blond ale poured with a golden glow and a creamy head, it delivered subtle hints of citrus, spice, and a smooth malty backbone. Chimay (on tap) Chimay Red, which brought deep notes of dried fruits, caramel, and a touch of spice. Rodenbach (from the bottle) Flemish red-brown ale, with its characteristic sweet-and-sour profile, had subtle hints of oak, and berries. Refreshing, and uniquely Belgian. Dessert: Tiramisu All Around To round things off, tiramisu was unanimously chosen — and rightfully so. The place is located well but the service was too slow. Recommended only for beer tasting not the food.

I thought my experience in life after 30 years teavelling around the world could not be cheated as a child with a candy at school entrance....13 euros for a beer with impolite waiter with tables separate by 10 cm...a cheese plate than quality is worse than carrefour cheese salad...this place can be ruin all your experience at famous beer experience

This place has a totally crazy vibe. So many beers on the menu that you cannot keep track! And all of them equally delicious. The entire outside lane has multiple cafes. Open late until night. Must visit if you plan to spend a night in Brussels. Very close to the Grand Place.

Love the huge selection of beer; make sure to scan the QR code in the menu to see all of them. Could use some food options apart from the 3 they currently offer, but they are tasty. A nice and characteristic brewery in the very heart of Bruxelles. Encouraging the fact that is frequented by many local people. This place offers and outstanding selection of beers for onest prices, considering the location. The environment is very warm and welcoming, with the interiors decorated by a lot of antiquities. Very polite and welcoming staff. Maybe a little more could be done on the food quality. The croque-monsieur I ordered was a bit dry and poor in taste. Apart from that, very recommended.

This bar has such a unique interior 🎭 — old dolls, musical instruments, and quirky details hanging from the ceiling and scattered all around. Definitely recommend not just sitting on the big terrace outside, but also stepping inside to take it all in. The beer selection is huge, though mostly bottled, so for me it’s a solid 4/5 overall.

I had never seen a waiter work with so much passion and joy. This man, wearing his little cap, was serving 10 tables all by himself going up and down with his tray full of glasses, full of enthusiasm. My respect and admiration to this man. excellent service, incredibly fast, and very attentive. The place is so fantastic, unique style. really good beer

My wife and I came here for a drink between meals whilst on honeymoon in Brussels. This bar came highly recommended based on their selection, history, and the notoriety of the nearby fountain. Whilst the drinks on tap were very refreshing, the slow service was what let down the entire experience. We were waiting in a queue for about 20 minutes and watched several tables free up outside, and saw just as many patrons leave their tables indoors. This was followed by another delay upon being seated, where it took about 5 minutes to get a menu and another 5 to flag down waitstaff to make an order. This unfortunately let us down for the trip.

Great quirky bar right next to Manneken Pis. Fabulous beers, I recommend Kwak. However I cannot give any positive recommendation for the service. We ordered beer and food, received the beer, waited for food, asked the same waiter for food again and after nearly an hour we paid for the beer and left with disappointment. The manger apologised. Lesson learned for the establishment would be for the serving staff to actually write down peoples orders and also to come back to tables and check if everything is ok. Ruined an experience and rating that would otherwise have been good.

There were so many Belgian beers on the menu. It might be hard to choice but if you tell a stuff your favorite tastes, they give you the best one.

This is also a must go when in Brussels. A one-of-a-kind place with great atmosphere, not a lot of beer options, but an amazing wine mix they have. They make their own wine and mix it with cherries or hazelnuts, in combination with ice; amazing! Great staff, friendly and helpful, and they speak a lot of languages. Only thing that can be better is the toilets, but even with that: must visit/experience this little gem!

A bar to easily miss but if found it etches in your memory. Not flashy like other tourist places but a wondrous feeling in the place which takes some time to soak in. A place with unique character it makes u want to forget the outside ordinary world and get lost in the space they have created over the years. The service waitress was kind and served one of the best Champaign tasted recently. The owner too was happy to involve himself with zero/ very limited English. Yet a broken conversation could be cracked in two different languages and a lot of hand gestures

This place is a Brussels institution that’s been around for more than a decade. Most of the time, it is the owner who serves the drinks and he prefers cash payment (although there is a card machine available). They have their own alcoholic drinks and some Belgian beers. The Cognac Amande is one of the best drinks here. 👌🏼

Really cosy bar with nice and funky decor! Enjoyed my banana cocktail (€9.50) and the bartender was really nice and helpful with explaining the drinks. Prices are more affordable compared to other bars in the area, would go back again if in Brussels

A bar of its own category, cool, fun, romantic. Special drinks in a special setting. The owner with a volatile mood can be considered part of the setting, I find his bluntness charming and amusing.

To start off I want to say this place used to be good. That being said, I had the most disgusting undrinkable cocktail I've ever seen and I've seen some drinks. The orange look drink in the picture, that's my drink that I barely touched. It was soooo bad that it was vomit inducing. My friends drink was pretty bad too, just sweet with very unpleasant alcohol taste. Now the place is beautiful, but sadly we didn't get to enjoy that, even though that place was barely half full because we didn't have a reservation they put us in the back on the way to the bathroom. Not the worst spot I've had a drink in but why not just seat us in the front like normal people. Last the staff was okay, just barely okay. Nobody asked what we thought of our drinks. When we sat down nobody bothered explaining anything, just hi here's the qr code where you can find out menu, which almost exclusively specials. All in all very pretty place that you can't really enjoy without a reservation, but that doesn't matter because if the rest of the drinks are this bad you won't be enjoying anything once you taste them. Stay away

The place looks amazing. There is an entire museum regarding Hendricks gin. Although in the end we tested and discovered a great drink, the other drinks we tried were too spirited and not pleasant flaouvoured... I have to visit the place again, since it looks very cozy and classical, but I will test other drinks. A good bar overall, but I need to try some different drinks.

Tourist trap. Overpriced un-interesting cocktails, in a room that, while it's historical part looks great (the wooden tables, the staircase) is filled with usless cheap decoration, ruining the beauty of the place, turning it into a disney park like decore. Bruxelles has much better to offer cocktail wise.

Kev crushed it making both the Dirty Mary and also the clover club remix that I ordered. Was the fourth time my friend Rob brought me to this gem of a spot and they never disappoint. Although I am am an alcohol enthusiast and not a mocktail guy, was very impressed with Kev’s smoked beet purple carrot wonder that he invented for Rob’s second round. Gotta give it up when people are delivering at this level. True cocktail lovers should be pleased here.

Sadly, it was a very long wait for the order and and even longer wait to get the drinks. There was no explanation of the drinks no recommendations by the staff like you would expect in a cocktail bar. No physical menu, so everyone is forced to take out their phones instead of spending time together. The cocktails were very mediocre and definitely not worth the 18 Euro per cocktail. The music was not adapted to the very nice style of the bar.

Love their cocktail but expensive. Very classy and the interior setup is different in a good way. The setup is like alchemist shop , and dark inside with fake dead animals . The waiters are very helping and offer recommendations.

Dark and atmospheric bar 🍺 set inside an antique building, which gives it a really cool vibe. The beer selection is solid, though keep in mind you can only pay by card for bills over 10 EUR — so we ended up ordering two at a time. Still, it’s a nice spot to enjoy a few drinks and soak up the unique atmosphere.

I recently visited this underground pub that was absolutely fantastic. The first thing that struck me was the great variety of beers available. There were so many different options to choose from, I could have spent hours trying them all! Additionally, the heavy metal music playing in the background added to the unique atmosphere of the place. The pub itself was like a time capsule, with vintage posters and decor that made it feel like I had stepped back in time. However, what really made the experience special was the friendly and welcoming service from the man behind the bar. He was super friendly to us and our son, which made us feel right at home. Overall, I had a fantastic time at this underground pub and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great beer selection, unique atmosphere, and friendly service. Whether you're a fan of heavy metal or just looking for a cool spot to hang out, this place is definitely worth a visit

A dark cellar with a smell of being a cellar (which I really liked) I'm starting to think that this is a place for people who's into heavy/black metal music. All in all, it's a good place for a beer or five😊

Vivid place dor a night out. A good variety of beers and a really unique atmosphere. If you are lucky you may witness a good light and music show as I did. Open space to dance available.

Dingy basement bar with a great draft list, excellent bottle list and wonderful music playlist, if you're into rock, punk and metal. Picnic tables to sit on, trashy bathrooms, if you like this kind of place, you'll love it here and we visited often. Just a few blocks away from the grand place. They serve both fresh and aged Orval, but in Chimay glasses.

Crowded but worth it -- if you get a seat, especially. People are friendly, beer selection is awesome and local, and they have live music! Space is really interesting -- barrel vaulted ceiling made out of brick seems like it's an old cellar or catacombs converted into an underground beer bar. Nice separation of rooms means there's an intimate feeling even in a crowded space.

Delightful. Through the timeless bar (wide selection of beers + satisfying snacks) into the retro-stylish, seductively lit dining area where the humble spag-bol is elevated to a feast! Really *nice* service.

Loved it! Not too small, but very busy pub! Good choice of beers, and nice pairing with the appetizers and the pickles mustard. They were unfortunately out of Monk stout which I wanted to taste. To eat, the Maxi portion is too much for a standard person. But the spaghetti is quite good. The service and the ambiance were good as well. A nice evening at the Monk!

Amazing pasta, and for a good price! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the wait times. It took us 1.5 hours to get a table, with half of that standing waiting for a buzzer. I understand the restaurant is busy, but I think some interaction by the staff telling us of the wait times would have been nice instead of being left for ages. But despite this, the food was amazing, definitely recommend!

I'm already often at this bar but for the first time I tried the Spaghetti Buffet (served in the back room). Good price, good portions, quick service and besides the bolognese, ham and cheese and veggie options, they always have a 4th option that changes so you don't get bored. They also offer take away. I wouldn't say it's a very special place to bring a date, but it's very handy when you are around or already at the bar and gets hungry.

Favorite place in Brussels. Their food is all spaghetti - there's even spaghetti ice cream. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks, live music... What's not to love? It seemed like a place where everyone was welcome; young and old.

L’Archiduc has a great location and a calm atmosphere, but sadly the place feels very neglected. Many of the seats and tables are broken, and it looks like nothing has been updated in decades. For a bar with such history, it’s a real shame that it’s so poorly maintained. On top of that, the drink prices are higher than average, which makes the experience even more disappointing.

The climate is one of a kind although it’s always super full! Upstairs area with cinema chairs has its unique charm. Great cocktails

A cultural heritage from 1937. I went there on monday, at noon, and without any ongoing special events. Very friendly staff and amazing pisco sour. The prices are also reasonable.

I came in with my friends wearing a dressed hat. After we all got drinks and were inside for more than an hour sitting there bothering no one, the “security guy” big dude from the picture with a hat came inside angry to tell me I need to take my hat off inside and if I don’t I need to leave because of “house policy”. This was not an issue when I entered, when I ordered or sat there drinking. This man is not only disrespectful but also I don’t know what makes him worst security guy in history since he finds a woman with a hat something to make a big deal of it or the fact that he noticed “the threat” it 1.5 hours later. Bravo for your incompetence. This place just lost three clients tonight.

Really lovely venue - Art Deco design with a great vibe. I enjoyed the margaritas and the amazing jazz music. Totally worth a visit and within walking distance of the square.

My favourite bar in the neighborhood. I love their changing custom-made cocktails that are always inspired by something special - be it the jam made out of Belgian beer brewers’ fruity remains that end up in a cocktail, or the latest Chartreuse frenzy. I come back to taste them all. The staff is great too, friendly and really knows cocktails! Five stars!

I was only here once a few years ago but I still have fond memories of the cocktails. They were so tasty and inventive. We sat outside and just soaked in Brussels. The staff were friendly and we felt very welcomed.

When my husband and I first moved to Brussels 5 years ago we were doing a spirit tasting course with a wine shop local to us (sadly not close to Life is Beautiful) and asked the teacher where to go in Brussels for good cocktails. He told us that Life is Beautiful is the best cocktail bar in Brussels, he wasn't wrong! We've now visited a few times as well as having done 3 different cocktail workshops. Every visit and workshop our experience has been amazing, perfectly balanced creative cocktails which are reasonably priced as well as super kind and helpful service. I really can't recommend Life is Beautiful highly enough!!! P.s. we now judge every cocktail bar by the exacting standards LiB applies to its ice...

Hands down my favorite cocktail bar in Brussels (I don't want to exaggerate but maybe the world?)! I travel a lot and I haven't found a place that offers such unique selections that are thoughtfully crafted and always taste good no matter how odd they may sound. Every drink is fabulous. Life is Beautiful is not afraid to push the boundaries and experiment, but it's always done thoughtfully so you'll never get a bad drink. I've been many many times and haven't had anything I disliked yet. They really know their stuff. Beyond that, the place is warm and comfortable and the people there are SO kind. You'll always be greeted warmly and welcomed back by friendly faces.

This was one of the best places we found while exploring Brussels, down an alleyway off of the main street. Never knew much about Lambics, and now we're Lambic converts. The staff there was so happy to educate us about the different types of Lambics, we ended up stopping here almost every night before heading back to our room. Highly Recommend

An old time favorite, beer served in a jug, mainly of Lambic origins. I like the upstairs but wasn’t open when I went there. Mid-tone wood paneling sounds the place with wooden furniture to match.

Only noticed this place as the cats were playing outside. Decided to call in. Delighted we did. It is a lovely traditional pub. Hadn't had lambic beer before. It was very nice. Sweeter but not too sweet. The cats were friendly and entertaining. I'd happily go back when in Brussels.

Hidden gem in the heart of two with an almost unsurpassed selection of fine beers. Great atmosphere with long tables to help you get to know your neighbours (well as couple of 9% beers will help!) Food is offered but best considered as an accompaniment to the alcohol

Try to make a reservation as it’s always full. Takes local cuisine and does something new for every meal. Really fun ways of reinventing typical dishes by preparing the ingredients anew. Staff is delightful and try to go there in summer to enjoy the outdoor experience.

What a place! If goth is your thing, you must visit. If it's not, visit anyway! It's small, dark, and funereal. Order a beer from the absolutely huge choice, then enjoy sat at the acrylic topped open coffin table complete with occupant! Music was very appropriate too. The epitome of an emo bar- heavy metal music, a coffin with a skeleton in as a table. Lots of beers on tap, wide range of cocktails and even sever shot options if that’s your vibe. One of the most unique and different bars I’ve been to. Definitely worth checking out

Amazing bar! Visiting Belgium for a couple of days and this is definitely one of the better places we came to! Max (I’ve shortened the name as I was slightly drunk when I asked, but I think it was Maxima) was an excellent bartender, conversing with ease and even adhering to a song request. The cocktails he made me and my wife were fantastic! Atmosphere was great, decor is really cool, really good music (metal/rock/alternative) which was a breath of fresh air against the generic musical landscape that we currently have, especially in bars.

Very glad a friend recommended a stop in here. Love me a good heavy metal bar vibe, but this is more than that. The casket tables, skulls beer mugs, overall Ichabod Crane sleepy hollow tavern feel and atmosphere, plus the heavy metal playing make it my kind of place.

As I have been going there for about a decade, this place has never changed. Cocktails are always great, prices are good, atmosphere is, although identical to when I started going there, perfectly suited for the area. Staff is always great, toilets, for a pub, are relatively clean, music is varied so it can be great, it can be terrible, to each his own. The terrace is always nice, the second floor is also great and has a nice view. If you've never been there, I highly recommend this pub.

Stayed in Brussels with friends and was taken to this bar. Very lively, great atmosphere, and it played decent music. Didn’t eat there, just a late, late drink! Bar staff were great, friendly positive vibe throughout the night with everyone enjoying themselves. Would highly recommend anyone visiting if they’re in the area. 5* 👍👍

A cozy and convivial Belgian pub well worth popping into for a pint or two. They have a great selection of Belgian beers, and I enjoyed the music selection which featured some great French music during my visit.

This is a f'in great place. It looks vintage yet modern, the wood is worn and it's got the right vibe. The modern hip hop that day was cool too. Prices are a little steep but the cocktails are top notch quality.

We went here to grab a beer. I liked the rustic interiors, and the location is awesome. Great selection of beers. There are lots of seats inside and outside.

We visited yesterday as a research trip on the surrealist movement in Belgium. A grand photo in the adjoining window. I have to say the lady who works there was really nice to talk to and really welcoming. The bar food was really good and highly recommended. I have to say this bar/bistro is stooped in so much history and it's a must visit for the cosy ambience with original decor. We will be back soon. Wayne The Painless Artist

A fabulous nook of a bar, the walls are covered with artifacts not an inch to spare. I had a Ciney Blonde on draft that was delicious. There is a pile of board games for guests to play. There are several rooms to choose from, and a brighter area in the back.

A real, traditional bruine kroegen (brown cafe), beware of fakes! I was worried it might be packed with tourists, it was the exact opposite, just a few tables with locals having meetings and drinking a beer, what a wonderful place. You can also buy a sandwich next door and take it in with you. Highly recommended. Ranked the best bar in Europe by The European Bar Guide in 2025 with a score of 9.7 out of 10. A gem. An historic café/bar frequented by several surrealist painters a hundred years ago. Largely unchanged with original décor. Lots of ephemera, graffiti and artwork on the walls. Excellent beers. Bread, cheese and mustard for lunch. Atmospheric.

Really loved the atmosphere in this place. I understand it's really old, and very much looks it inside. Incredibly eclectic decor and painfully bohemian inside. Really chilled vibe when we were there early evening.

It doesn't do food anymore but I'll give it a five anyway as it was nice when we ate there in 2019. One of the classic Brussels bars with ties to Magritte and several other artists, it suffered because of Covid (like so many places) and has only recently reopened as just a bar (but you can buy sandwiches next door and take them in). Well worth a visit.

Easily one of the most distinct and cosy pubs in a city full of great ones. Excellent diverse small selection of beer also.

My friend and I went on a Friday night just a bit before midnight and the vibe was quite chill. There’s a cute and quiet cocktail bar in the back! Clean bathrooms as well. Music was good. Felt like a classic American dive bar.

Accidentally found this bar during a walk but its def one of the coolest places I've been at.

I visited Rock Classic while on a trip to Brussels with a group of 9 people, it wasn't too crowded when we arrived but as the night was settling the atmosphere got really turned on. We had a great time and the drinks prizes were pretty fair in my opinion, if you're in the area I would definitely recommend this place to finish the night.

Amazing style for the entrance, drinks are okay but the place has good atmosphere with not so loud music and they also have a noise meter to control and give you good experience of the music.

Great little rock bar in the centre of Brussels. There was free live music on the Friday and Saturday night we visited (An Elvis tribute act and a Johnny Cash tribute act). Very good quality show considering it's free. 4* and not 5* review because there is some odd rule that we couldn't work out, but seemed to be they serve plastic cups during live music (or maybe during a certain time) which they charge you an extra euro for. If you take the cup back you either get 1 euro off your next drink, or you get your euro back if you're leaving. No one ever tells you this and I imagine they make a lot of extra money from people not knowing they've been charged for their cup.

Great place in Brussels to listen to very good music. Cheap beer and good cocktails. I really loved it. The personnel is not very nice but maybe only because on Fridays night there is a lot of people. I'm going there tomorrow afternoon too, I hope to change my mind about that.

Well, an old fashioned rock bar. Live concerts, decent sound and not too big. They have a "secret" cocktail bar thet opens later in the night. Fun place to be, it just lacks some ventilation / air flow. Gets quite sweaty and smelly during live concerts.

We came with our whole Master's Programme (43 people) and there was space with everyone. Ideal for large groups.

A good bar and relaxed staff make this a great place for large groups — even 40 people! However sometimes it seems as if there are a lot of teenagers. Not a criticism just a note.

The bar is big and nice, but they have a limit of 10 euros for paying by card, which is clearly illegal in Brussels. Not recommended because of this.

My old evening hideout as a student back in 2005-2006 whilst on my year abroad. The drinks were around €2-3 for a half litre but they were decent so I didn't mind paying the slight premium.

On a first positive note, the beers here are cheap and there is a lively experience here at night. Service is also relatively quick. I wasn’t a fan though of the uncleanliness and lack of privacy in their bathrooms and paying customers aren’t always treated with respect, in fact sometime feeling like we were second class.

Great atmosphere, great decoration and nice live music! There is not much more one could ask. I feel the place is somewhat small for the potential it has, but maybe that's part of the charm. Besides the live music on the main room, they have a second smaller kinda concert hall that I would assume it also houses live music and other activities.

This is a really cool rooftop bar in the heart of Brussels, it is on the roof of what appears to be a pretty bougie hotel, the staff were really nice and we got waited on quickly. We were able to sit outside and see the city view. The drinks were good and they were priced very reasonably considering where you are and how nice the patio is. I would recommend it. I only rated food because they have free popcorn… Which I thought was super cool and it was good.

Flower was the most lovely experience in the restaurant. The service and small treats do the experience better. The salads do not taste fresh, even though the food overall tastes good. The appetizers are popcorn and not bread 😂. I hardly advised to book in advance, but the restaurant was not full. Just working with limited staff. It’s a good place to have drinks. Luxury facilities, but cheap management all over the hotel. It was my feeling.

From the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by Wissam and the team, to the moment we left and were wished good night by Flory and the team, our experience at The Eight Rooftop Cocktail Bar was exceptional. Thanks to the incredible bartenders, Davidel and Brandon, whose talent and cocktail recommendations were truly outstanding, we enjoyed a delightful and flavorful evening. It wasn’t just a night out — it felt like a performance. They created personalised cocktails based on our preferences and even entertained us throughout. The entire team, including Ramila, made sure we were perfectly taken care of and had a wonderful time. This was my second visit; the first was with my family in the summer, and this time with friends and both times we had an unforgettable experience thanks to the amazing staff. Beautiful cocktail bar with great views of the city. Stylish indoor seating area and small outdoor seating area. The staff was nice. The drinks were great, however the food was just okay. The meat and cheese board we wanted was no longer available. So we settled on hummus trio, olives and shrimp tempura. We sent the olives back, they were rotten and not edible. There was no apology, trying to fix it, or taking it off our bill. The tempura shrimp was heavily breaded, not much shrimp to it. The hummus trio was the best out of all of it, but the pita bread too soft and not great.

Beautiful view. Lovely atmosphere. Took an extremely long time to be served and was never checked on. Finally waved someone down (not a lot of servers available) to get the bill. I had the quiche and salad and it was good, not great on

Youssef is an amazing and attentive server ready to help when needed. Georgi is phenomenal with cocktails behind the bar, and understanding the atmosphere to the degree of the person who enters the establishment. Such an amazing space with amazing views. Worth the stay.

At first a little difficult to find, since there are no signs, but once you enter the hotel, the elevator takes you up to the eight floor. Cocktails were amazing! Really nice service and a calm yet great view of Brussels

Disappointing to be honest. The building itself reminded us of a US style brewpub. On a Saturday afternoon it was busy...with a kids birthday party 🤔. Ideal for families but the beer was massively inferior to our other stops and glasses were strewn all over tables with little sign of anyone clearing up. Not really worth the trip

Really nice brewery outside touristy Brussels. Really enjoyed having some good beer and sitting outside. They have a shop, indoor and outdoor seating around the brew tanks. Definitely recommend when in town. Easy to scooter there.

I ordered some very dry fried chicken. Went to the kitchen to ask for some mayonnaise, upon which they told me that would be €1. Gurl €1 for a drip of mayonnaise? 😭 The gentrification already took over even before the new towers are built. The dish couldnt even be saved by the poor fermented onions that spent their whole lives laying in acid vinegar. Then I went for some beers and they poured me the wrong beers. Gurl I thought this was a brewery 💅when I told them it was wrong, they insisted to still take the wrong order. So then I sat there with cardboard chickens and unsollicited beers but at least the sun was out so 2 stars ⭐️⭐️ next time shpritz me some mayonnaise daddy 😩

Great location and beautiful building. As soon as you enter the brewery/bar, the smell of hops is intoxicating. Fermentation tanks are exposed and everything is clean and organized. The bar decoration is lovely and they have a really nice beergarden. Beers are spectacular with fair prices. A must visit when in Brussels.

I visited different Brasserie but this one has its own unique atmosphere. You can sit outside in a sunny day and inside also. Even sitting outside its like you are connected with Nature around you(even before the drink ;-) ) calm place !!! staff is friendly can explain you about each beer they made and what it taste like. For sure we missed the Food Van it was closed that day so next time. I'd suggest if you live in Brussels or not you must try it you'd be impressed for sure. Remember Sun, Blue Sky and Jambe De Bois such a cool combination!!!

As expected…perfect place to sample some locally made beers with a touch of Brussels accent. The beers on draft were the classics but they also had a great selection of bottled beers I never had a chance to try (ie. Their collab with Allagash…). Great view on the brewhouse, nice backyard! They also have a shop if you also keep a t-shirt and a cap from every good brewery you visit. The brewery is next to Tour & Taxi and there’s always a lot to do around there!

Packing up bench in table at 20:30 while closing at 23:00, felt like « time is up »; we had a great beer in an American microbrewery atmosphere and food was ok. Need to try again and let them know how American’s doing (even though one waiter has some American origin???!)

Very good food, good place, nice atmosphere. Problem was with payment. They refused to allow us to pay separately. We came back next evening (it is a nice place) and we asked upfront that each of us would order a beer and pay immediately - but the waiters waved their hands and said not possible - the table has to pay together. So we left. Afterwards my colleague told me that they were talking in rude french.

An old favorite that has kept going over the years. Famous for its yard of ale glasses. Didn’t try one this lunchtime but instead had their own beer in its fabulous glass with the glass crow as part of the stem. The glass was so good I had to buy one from them, they sell packs with the beer and glass together.

Oldest bar (1874) of Brussels, cute & classic both ! Nice people & grey drinks. Best glasses with bird 🦅 depicted. Great house brewed beer . The feel here is «  not touristic local » but real local ! Grab your drink & chat happily with your folks ! Countless time you may return & never will be bored . Ambience is great too with some nice decorative yet authentic pieces ! Do visit to truly immerse in Brussels culture .

Good atmosphere but bad service. Ordering 3 beers without problems, and half an hour later the same order is a problem because it’s not “at least €15” (which is illegal)

The location was great, so we found it on Google. I recommended it to my tourist friends who were visiting Brussels for the first time to meet up and have a drink. It was a huge disappointment, especially the waiter's attitude, which was incredibly rude. We normally accept immediate payment after ordering, but he rudely told us to come with him to inside. His tone was incredibly rude. He also wouldn't let us pay separately, which he was rude about. If my friends weren't tourists, I wanted to get up and leave right then and there.

A pretty cool place in Brussels with a wide variety of beers and reasonably priced food. I also really enjoyed drinking from their Chevalier glasses, a whole experience by itself. The food was decent. However, the service was extremely disappointing. Our waiter was very condescending, unwelcoming, and sassy in an unprofessional way. He was constantly irritated when I tried asked questions about the menu concerning information that wasn’t included. “It’s OBVIOUS that the tartare comes with fries and salad” even though it’s not written on the menu, how stupid of me, sorry for bothering. All in all, I really enjoyed this place except for the service. Would I return? Maybe, but not if the same waiter is serving us.

The worst restaurant in Brussels. Never had such a bad attitude and services. We arrived to the location after looking at the menu and wonting to have a salmon with mashed potato like in the picture in the menu and they didn't have it, after that we were waiting for half an hour and no one came to service our table of 5 because the waiter don't speaks English. We got up and left hungry and had to look for another restaurant.

I have frequently enjoyed visiting this venue for its great atmosphere and excellent DJ sets, but unfortunately, due to the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of the staff, I will no longer be returning. On a recent visit, as my friend and I were leaving and making our way to the coat room, we encountered a bouncer blocking the stairs. In an attempt to get by, my friend gently pushed against him, not realizing he was the bouncer. Her action was minimal and in no way warranted the violent response that followed. The bouncer, who was exceptionally large—easily five times her size and weight, —punched her in the face and forcibly shoved her out of the bar. This extreme size difference only makes his actions even more disturbing and completely unjustifiable. Multiple people witnessed the interaction, including two other women who were equally shocked by the bouncer's response. The police were called, but as is often the case in situations like this especially in Brussels, they did nothing to address the issue. I sincerely hope you will reconsider the staff you hire, as such behavior is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. It is truly shameful that a venue with such a great atmosphere has staff members who are so ignorant and incompetent in representing it. This incident has deeply affected my perception of the place, and I will no longer be returning

Was invited to DJ and had a great time. People arrived early and started dancing right away. Bit later the placed was packed! Small bar Big heart! Really like it there!

Nice interior, friendly staff (the bouncers can be a bit rude, but I never had an issue with them). Unfortunately the last 2 years it's been hit or miss. Announcements on their website/socials are rare/spotty and when you go by it is either closed/ near-empty/ bad music. They used to have THE BEST packed techno/ house parties in the weekend and freestyle jazz on quieter evenings. It used to be the place to be between 2-5AM.

It's a cool place, but the sound for the live music is... difficult upstairs and a hard situation of placement downstairs, yet the best amateur musician place in Brussels.

Great place for electronic music until the morning during the weekend. Free entrance. The staff is kind. Be aware of pickpockets.

A rough diamond with a lot of charm has been polished by the new owner. He was obviously able to add something very much of its own and very important: offers great hospitality. New vibe, different tone but equally authentic. These ‘Keftedakia’ or Greek meatballs are served warm with a soft sweet sauce . Truly delicious! The drinks on the menu are plenty and clearly sought with care. Lord Byron 2.0 definitely owns its own glory!

This bar is known for its excellent "espresso martini" made by the owner himself. And they are excellent indeed. Besides that place is really cool, like in another time with nice people, quiet but energetic music. Recommended for a date during the week or for group of friends during weekend.

I love the cocktails and the friendly vibe! You can enjoy a good drink(not only cocktails) with nice random chats. The owner is friendly and fast, even if it might be busy! They have little snacks which can go with your drinks as well.

I only went there late morning, so my review is not based on the night life this Cafe provides. Located in one of the busiest areas in Brussels (Flagey), their coffee selection is cheap. If you want to meet people for a breakfast in the morning, this is the place to go. Good large location...

Café Belga is ideally situated if you're planning to see a movie or a show next door in the Flagey theater. They offer a wide range of (local) beers and other drinks. Be aware you need to order at the counter.

I had the opportunity to enjoy some excellent coffee at Cafe Belga and, for the first time in my life, tried a rice cake, which was truly delicious. The service was also very friendly and efficient, the music was great, and despite the large number of customers, there were no problems finding a table. I highly recommend it!

Ahh Cafe Belga, the biggest bar in Flagey, so full of life, with a cult status in the area. Unfortunately recently, this place went from a nice cafe where you could have a drink with friends and chat to a noisy wannabe club with meh music, and the typical rotation of good but overplayed reggaeton songs they blast seemingly every night. The drinks are unbelievably expensive, there are cheaper, better bars for socializing less than a block away. Most of the clientele is from the almost 30% of Parisians who live in this commune, and are about as friendly as Parisians are known to be. Very few locals, it’s all bobo parisians and eurocrats, spending away their untaxed income while contributing nothing to this city. This is a bar in the center of Brussels, the capital of Belgium, that barely has any Belgian beers to offer, just the Carapils-level Belpils (for about 10x the price of carapils), and a crappy selection of overpriced cocktails that take the overwhelmed staff too long to make. If you’re 22 and an expat living off of EU taxes, this place is great. If you’re a local or anyone else not in that demographic, you’re better off spending your hard earned euros at another bar. This is not even to mention the rude staff and appalling bathroom conditions, as they tend to be flooded with piss and are hardly cleaned. You’re better off peeing into the ponds and risking the fine than waiting for a toilet.

A great place to meet and have a drink: very social. However today’s visit this afternoon was very unpleasant. The waiter behind the counter was serving me when he accidentally bumped another waiter. This waiter overreacted tremendously and grabbed my waiter forcibly, dragging him into kitchen. There was a lot of noise in the kitchen and the staff who could see what was going on there, looked horrified. The waiter that was attacked, escaped to the toilets and the beard waiter returned to the counter. I don’t know the background to this incident but the aggressive behaviour of the waiter and assault of the other waiter should not happen, especially not in front of the customers 😳

The interiors and the atmosphere make you feel like you're back in the 80s and I loved it. Its chill and quiet (around 12am) and there's a lot of people just working on their laptops or having quiet meetings. There's bar service which results in a bit of a chaos with orders and it's hard to orientate oneself in the queue. The coffee was good and there's a separate bar with fresh sandwiches, salads and snacks. Great variety of drinks. Maybe a little bit on the expensive side. Thankfully, no tourists yet :)

Cosy place to sit down and enjoy Ixelles!

Okay so here’s a long review. We had a reservation for the all you can eat chicken. Walked in. No one greeted us. It wasn’t busy so we just sat down at a random booth. We scanned the qr code to order our food but only sauces were available. We went up to the bar and asked what we should do. The bartender was very rude and dismissive. He asked for our name four times. My friend spelled it out and finally after the fourth time he realised what she was spelling out. He told us in a very rude manner that we should have known where our reserved table was and that we should’ve asked at the bar. Like babe why do you think we’re at the bar. Anyways we sit down with our little pamphlet do choose our food options. We get a variety of everything. Meanwhile we got our drink from the bar. After 20 min the food comes (the girl who served us was actually quite nice unlike the bartender): Mac and cheese was insipid. It was creamy but lacked flavour. The pasta was overcooked but overall not the worst. Onion rings were okay. Oily and flavorless. Very batterish. Fries were standard. Unfortunately my fry standard is very high. But they were okay. And now the reason we came: the wings. We had the Cajun lemon ones which were fine, lacked a little in taste but they were very tender and refreshing if the buffalo wings were too spicy. The buffalo wings were so good. They were tangy and flavourful and fell of the bone. The cheese sauce that came with it was okay. Nothing to write home about. But the wings made up for all of that. We’ve been now sitting here for over an hour with nothing on the table and our bill still hasn’t come. Again should we go to the bar? It’s a bit unclear. Overall would recommend the buffalo wings and a little side if you’re hungry. The location is pretty nice. The booths are comfortable. Would definitely come back again for the wings In the end we did go to the bar for the check hehe. Also wanted to add that the drinks are a bit expensive. 4.5 for a soda (even if it’s a specialty one is a bit steep) and water was 5. We didn’t try any of the beers so I can’t say anything about that. To finish: as they say in dune: he who controls the spice controls the wing (or sum shit like that)

Absolutely delicious hazy IPAs. Buffalo chicken was also on point. Friendly bartenders and easy order from table QR codes. Very cool outdoor patio but weather was gross…maybe next time.

Went for the unlimited wings. It’s 16,50 €. Waayy too much sauce, overwhelming, you get disgusted after a few wings. Ordered wings with sauce on the side but there was still a weird aftertaste. Wouldn’t go back, didn’t get to enjoy the unlimited offer. The beer was flat. Wouldn’t go back. The onion rings are very oily and not much taste. Also if i hadn’t read the reviews beforehand i wouldnt know to go to the bar first to order. Staff was okay.

I really love the vibe at BrewDog Brussels. It’s always lively, friendly, and the perfect spot to hang out with friends. The food is great, and both the burgers and craft beers are consistently excellent. I especially love their chicken and sweet potato fries, always delicious ! 🍟🍠 A small downside, most of the staff are super nice and efficient, but I did come across someone a bit unpleasant once, which slightly spoiled the experience that day. Despite that, it’s still a place I gladly recommend, especially for the atmosphere and the quality of the food !

With brewdog you always feel at home , very good selection of sour beer on draft, especially the "de carotte", both belgian craft and brewdog's. A little bit pricey but you pay for the quality of beers and the amazing service. Good food , you must try the korean spicy fries. We had amazing time playing shuffle board and relaxing after an afternoon of museums. Thanks for the amazing time guys and hope to see you in Bologna in the ex-brewdog pub if you're in the city 🤟

Nice place to catch up with friends while having a drink. Their beer selection is quite nice. We order some appetizers, and burgers, and the food was not bad, but neither impressive. Unfortunately, the meat from the beef burger was was overcooked and as a result very dry and not nice to eat. Also, considering the price, I would personally prefer having a waiter taking the order rather than ordering everything from the bar.

An absolute haven for craft beer lovers! The soaring ceiling and huge glass windows create a stunning atmosphere, while the variety of brews and delicious burgers (& sweet potato fries) make every visit a treat. Truly a top-notch experience & a perfect spot for a great night out!!!

🍺 We sat outside as it was a nice, cool, sunny day in Brussels. The square was perfect to sit, relax, and enjoy drinks and some food. 🍺 We ordered the double ham sandwich, meat lasagna, and two beers. 🍺 We just love 💕 that the Lasagna was made with real shredded beef instead of the regular frozen ground up meat. It really gave it a unique flavor and texture. Our beer was one of the best and most flavorful beer we’ve had. We are Americans so it may be just that we have terrible beer in America and this is how beer suppose to taste like 👍 🍺 Our waiter was super awesome. He was happy, helpful, and was very friendly. The menu is very limited when we were here and most of the main dishes were not available. Definitely recommend you come here to relax and enjoy a drink…or two 👌

Nice place to chillax. Management a little cou cou probably mad when clients are having too much fun. But yeah bathroom not so private 🙂 they did not care at all about it when they made it🤣 but I like the bricks wall going down xd bricks always a win for me.

We were here for the Sunday brunch. It was pretty decent - I've seen bigger selections at other places but for the price this was fine. The pancakes were great but surprisingly there were no fried or scrambled eggs. The service was also very friendly but a little slow which might have been due to the place being very busy.

Formerly a perfect brunch place, now an expensive breakfast place. We came with ten people to find they had not reintroduced buffet brunch but now offer small portions like mini scrambled eggs and mini juices for hefty prices. With the group we had to sit in the back room which has more of a midnight feeling to it. I would not recommend it for breakfast or come back.

Nice place for a drink and or a bite to eat. The waitress seemed quite sullen, perhaps she was having a bag day, but she did her job well. We ordered a Budda bowl and a croque madame. Servings were lage and cost was reasonable. They have a good selection of beer.

A friend of mine and I came to work and fuel up. the salads had very fresh ingredients. Who knew that peanut butter and chicken in the chicken salad would go so well! The lentil soup was also excellent. I do wish they would’ve given a little bit more butter with bread. The coffee was nice and strong, but it is because we had a double espresso. The Mediterranean salad was also perfectly balanced, and the lamb super tasty. We could tell the produce was very fresh. Also, the hiphop playlist added some major cool points to the ambiance. We were using Shazam nonstop. The terrace gets very busy around lunchtime.

Old and iconic place in Brussels, the chicken soup is amazing! They have a big variety of beer and the fries are outstanding.

This is a very old establishment. You come here for the atmosphere. The food is mediocre, but the interiors are historically preserved. The service is quick. Everything is aimed at making you order, eat, drink, and leave quickly.

Truly an excellent experience. The carbonade flamande I ordered for €20 with fries was superb. The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful too! Definitely recommend it!

Very nice place dating back to the lat 1800s, they open the bar at 10:00 am but the restaurant at 11:00 am. Try the Half & Half drink it is awesome. As far as food I was not able to try it, was too hyngry fo wait for 11 am. Oh! To me it was new. After they serve your first time, they automatically give you your ticket, thats how they keep tabs, you keep on ordering and you keep on getting a ticket for every single thing you order afterwards.

This is the spot if you want mussels and fries. Hella fresh and the sauce was...I mean grab a straw. We got the garlic and cream version. Super friendly and fast service (unexpected as tourists in Europe) and it was one of the most enjoyable meals we had, especially after Tomorrowland. Will drop by again when transiting back to SG. 26 EUR for 2pax

Sitting inside during summer can be quite warm as there’s no air-conditioning inside the cafe. Good selection of beer and drinks. Mussels are very good and the traditional beef stew is also very well prepared. Worth a visit if you’re in the area but there are many other restaurants in the area also.

We visited Belgium and this restaurant came highly recommended. We tried the traditional Belgian dishes, starting with the garlic mussels, which were phenomenal—not only hearty but with a truly transcendent flavor. The Carbonnade à la Flamande was excellent; the dark beer reduction was marvelous, slightly sweet but perfectly balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The Gratinated Endives, however, had its flavor somewhat overshadowed by the ham. As for the waterzooi, it could have used a bit more salt, but the sauce was mild and very pleasant on the palate. I recommend making a reservation because it’s always busy, but it’s absolutely worth it. A great spot to stop and enjoy authentic local cuisine. The waitstaff was very attentive, even though we had to wait a bit for our food. They were kind and helpful throughout the experience. Highly recommended to have your food with Belgium beer.

Great experience for a reasonable price! Interactive and super interesting to learn about different beers, some small tasters included and one free beer included at the rooftop bar with a great view. You can then purchase more beers and they have (as expected) a huge range! Plus wines and soft drinks if you're not a beer person! Would recommend.

I visited this rooftop brewery and had a great time! They have a wide selection of beers to choose from, which was awesome. The view from the rooftop was stunning, perfect for relaxing with friends. The stuff is very polite! The interactive exhibits were well-designed and made the experience even more fun. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy good drinks and a beautiful setting!

Not sure what we were expecting ….. the museum seems rather child like which is good if you are visiting with younger ones as they can paint the magic wall and play the games. It’s nothing like an actual brewery. Gives lots of information about how beer is made. You only get two tasters on the way round and one beer at the end of the tour. The view from the sky bar is fantastic and is a great place to have a drink and watch the city below.

Belgian Beer World Experience I have been to this museum twice already. The history and process of beer creation are very interesting. Everything is told here with the help of games and mini-films that are projected directly onto the walls. A pleasant end to the walk around the museum is the climb to the roof and tasting of any beer of your choice, which is included in the ticket price. I advise you to buy a ticket online on the museum's website, there may be discounts. You can get beer by scanning the ticket code.

Friendly and attentive staff. €19.50 and you get two shots of beer and a 30 ml beer of your choosing included. You get to enjoy the rooftop at the end with a great view. It is a lot of reading and learning about the history of beer in Belgium. We are here three full days and feel a bit out of ideas of what to do.

Great place on the main walk. Outside tables on both sides of the building so you have some shade all the time. We have a few beers and some snacks. Inside was quiet but outside was busy. Weather was perfect on the day we visited. Bathrooms were clean and we have no issues getting a table. For people watching this a great place to do it.

We got here on a Champions League match day and the mood was really nice! I enjoyed the food and the drinks - especially the pomme de crâne! It is spacious and cozy, a bit different (in a good way) of my usual bar experience.

There’s a great balcony on the side of the pub where you can sit and look out over the pedestrian street. The food was good, I still find €9.50 for Guinness is high. The interior is a wood paneled good looking Irish pub, framed in the traditional green. There is also a large outdoor seating area in front of the pub.

O'reilly's Brussels was a nice gem away from home. I'm Irish so it's often nice to visit a bar with some homegrown brews. Would highly recommend stopping in for a drink or a bit of food and enjoy the beautiful architure all around you while enjoying time with friends or alone.

Nice bar nice selection, nice people but I will be honest, did the Brussels Marathon today and all I wanted was a creamy pint afterwards. Unfortunately on this occasion the Guin provided at o Riley’s could join #sh1tlondonguiness because that was tragic, serious 2/10 vibes, and no not the waitress she was nice.

I have come here a few times in 2024 and 2025. It's ok, but I find it a little expensive (the entrance is not expensive, but the drinks are expensive and the lockers and the washroom cost extra, so it adds up). It's not well maintained and it looks old - I couldn't believe it when I heard that it was just recently renovated after a fire, because it's not in a very good state. It's narrow and small, so you can't really dance. I have also not really enjoyed any event I have come to. So I have decided that I will not come again.

I wouldn’t recommend going there as a woman. The environment can feel pretty unsafe—some men act like it’s a free-for-all, and unfortunately, the club doesn’t seem to take safety concerns seriously.

One of the best discobars in Brussels with plenty of space to dance and regular possibilities of getting in for free. You do have to pay for a locker (€3) and for the toilet, but that's common for all venues around here. The only downside I've found in Madame Moustache is that sometimes it slightly smells of smoke (either from the smoking room or because the DJ is smoking); but otherwise I absolutely love their parties!

Great meat hunting place for local who brings cash. Nightmare for tourists with contactless payment methods, non smoking. They had three amazing DJs as it’s an iconic club to play in Brussels. So if you love the artists so much to put up with constantly shouting smoking crowd, that will push you, one way toilet operation, cash only, one person at a time weird tap for coins system cashier, and two euro each time you open the locker. Then you’ll be ok.

If you're looking for a great place to party, it is the place to be, very good sound quality, good electro DJs, and the staff at the bar is amazing, highly recommend the place!

Nice location in an old movie theater. The place is big and has three floors. The entrance fees are a little higher than other places but still ok. I liked the flair of the place and the large dance area.

For me it was cool to visit a techno club but it wasn't my kind of thing and the primary reason was that they played the exact same beat for 1h straight. Also the cost of entry was 20€ and could only be paid cash. The price in itself isn't to high in my opinion but having to pay cash is just anoying to be honest, especially when you can pay by card at almost 99% of all the other places in Brussels.

I have been to multiple rave parties in multiple countries, and I can say that this club really impressed me. Great atmosphere, safe vibes and extremely friendly and professional staff. Really appreciate the fact there is a water fountain. There was also a smoking area, where people are friendly and you can spark conversation with some fellow raver. They also have blood alcohol tester so you can check yourself if you feel unwell. The toilets were also extremely clean and free, which is a rare sight in rave clubs. The pricing is okay, but even if you pay a little extra, the experience is so good that I think it’s worth it. Overall I recommend it to anyone who’s look for a good night out!

If you’re a fan of EDM, more specifically techno, this place will be able to fill that desire to dance all night long!

It may have been because we went on New Year's Eve, the club was packed with people, pushing and stumbling, not good for the techno vibe. You can't pay by card beyond the main cash register, making long queues to consume. You have to bring 2 euro coins for the lockers. It was a bad experience for me, I will try again another time.

This theatre was an incredible experience! Funny and authentic. We watched a play on Carmen, trying to hold back laughter in between the amazingly funny dialogues. The play was in a mix of Flemish (Dutch) and French, but it wasn’t hard to follow on with in my experience. (I am Dutch and French speaking though.)

It was such a great experience. It felt so cozy and the theatre was so amazing and real. Even if I didn’t know any French, I had a great time.

A haunt for many years This quirky little bar meanders from one room to the next with puppets hanging from the ceilings. The beer is always good and has a fine selection. I really enjoyed the music they were playing during the day varied and fun. The courtyard has expanded since I was last there.

Fabulous spot to visit in Brussels. Full of authentic charm and history. There are puppets from the theatre dotted around and programmes/posters dating back to the earl 1900s. Brilliant beer selection. We visited around 12.30ish and could get a table. It was table seevice to stay then ordered at the bar. One of the best stops to visit in brussels!

Amazing marionette theatre. Better if you understand a bit of "Brusseleir" (sort of Brussels French - mix of French and Flemish with a bit of creativity on top) But also with less local linguistic insights, the play and the atmosphere in this little super traditional theatre is splendid.

We would not have found this bar had we not taken an adventurous turn down a non descript alley. It is also a functioning marionette / puppet theatre. We missed a show but enjoyed an amazing flight of beer at this beautiful historic pub. Do not go to Delirium if you are serious about your pubs, history and beer. Go here instead. .

Highly recommended! I was blown away by how awesome this venue and the performance were. The performance was in French--that was tough for me, but the puppeteers were very talented, including their voice acting. I also searched the story [Le Busso] plot online and could sort of follow along from my phone. There was a bar in the museum (which had plenty of cool pieces), lots of nice toilets in the nearby restrooms, and the value for the ticket was solid. There is no back support except against the walls so if you need that you may have to sit in the back. Seating is first-come first-served, so be early to get your preferred spot. You can't eat or drink during the show but intermission is long [30 minutes?]. Even if you don't go for a show, the downstairs bar is open to the public and has the former puppet theater as a seating venue, which also looks like a museum.

Lovely quiet spot off a busy street that can be found down a little alleyway. Beautiful stained glass windows and attentive bartenders. And of course…the impossible to find Westvleteren 12 is the reason most people come. Btw they highly prefer cash and will charge a fee for credit cards

This bar is well known place for beer bar in downtown of Brussels, located 2 minutes walk from grand place. You can feel the heart of Brussels when entering the gate to the bar. If it is not easy to find, the entrance is right hand side. They offer the bottle beers and you can choose or ask for their recommendation if you tells your favorite taste such as dark, bitter or light and low alcohol. If you are visiter, don’t forget take picture of stained glasses. Recommend to visit earlier since you can relax more. Enjoy local beer and cheers!!

Interior decor is lovely, feels very tucked away and is a hole in the wall. It does get a lot of foot traffic with tourists but it still seems to retain it's character. And they're very dog friendly.

If you like Trappist beers, this is the place to be! Cozy back-alley setting with stained glass of Saint Michael and a medieval looking faux fireplace. Quadruples such as the revered Westvleteren 12 or the St Bernardus will start your visit off right! The beer list is very intentionally crafted and the hostess/bartender was absolutely perfect.

Went in for a Westvleteren 12. In addition we took Kriek (one of the few places where it is available on tap). A huge plus of the place is the opportunity to try rare beers. The bar is old, beautiful with lots of wood and stained glass. It is worthy of a visit at least once. But despite the large number of pluses I lacked atmosphere. The place is very quiet. Like its neighbor lacks noise and fun. In my opinion this is very important for such a classic old bar.

It cannot get more authentic than this bar! The name of the place is translated as “The Good Old Times” and definitely suits the place. It is one of the few bars that I seen in Belgium serving the world’s best beer Westvleteren, at the price of 15€ though. The other beers are also priced rather expensive but it is a nice experience. The host was incredibly friendly and even let me charge my phone. Recommended!

This is the place you want to go in Brussels if you love beer. It's the only place I could find westvleteren in the right atmosphere.

A place with a young vibe where people 50 old and beyond can still feel home. A typical "bruin cafeeke" (how a bar should look like decades ago, and how it truly still should look like right now). Should have discovered this place years ago. Happy I did recently. Tip: go and have a beer there early evening with a group. Talk to strangers. Stay, and have another drink and another snack. Enjoy.

Cozy bar near city center. Regular crowd seem very talkative and intellectual. Bartenders are great with their recommendations. If you like an original place in Brussels you should definitely visit Roskam.

Excellent French fries. We had the stew version. They have beer too, try Leffe Dubbel.

Great place to see a band. I was the fat Canadian in a colourful shirt, in a room of slender people all dressed in grey and black. Was pretty funny. Those Flemish! So cool. We had a nice time out. We hope to return!

Great place! Note - they no longer do food, haven't done for 2 years. However upon that realisation I stuck around for a quick beer and the owner is super friendly and super nice from the very short interactions I had with him. Cosy place and tons of choices of beer!

Interesting decor. Average food. Typical Belgian service. Good selections of beer. Bit pricey. Bar and dining is separated so good for those who prefer as such.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and two beers here. I had a tasty, good-sized chicken vol-au-vent in the bar section, which was relaxed and had a few small groups sampling the huge range of beers available. The barman was no-nonsense but friendly and willing to provide recommendations. Will definitely be going back.

All we wanted to have is 2 food for 6 people and but it seeems we didn't welcome at all. The dwarf looking guy with red glasses was almost sending us. So be aware of if you are not going to be ordering much things you will not be appreciated poor people. But food was very nice and prices around 14€.

Classic beer pub with a large selection of bottles and a carefully curated drafts. I enjoyed the 25th anniversary special. They serve food. The meat and cheese platters go well with beer. I had a larger meatloaf with steopf, which was generous and tasty. It's a relatively small space, so I imagine it can be quite busy.

A good spot to try a lot of beers as their beer list was extensive. We decided to eat and the food was okay, unfortunately not much of an atmosphere when we visited on a Thursday night

Boss little cocktail bar with friendly servers and knowledgeable staff. The cocktails themselves were extremely well executed and the guys definitely know what they are doing and are passionate about it as well which I love to see. I also had a bourbon which I really enjoyed and got a dirty martini which is one of my favourite cocktails and one of the best that I've ever had. I'll definitely be back again. Nice atmosphere in the bar as well without being too noisy.

Went Saturday 31 May 25. The view and atmosphere were great, however... When ordering 2x 50cl beer (for 8€ each) but you get served a small 33cl instead.. Went back to the bar to ask if it was 50cl but they seemed rather unexperienced and nodded yes it's 50! The difference between half a liter beer or a normal glass is pretty obvious. So just order a 33cl for a cheaper price since 33 or 50 is the same. Very disappointing, especially when you go to another bar after where you get friendly table service and an actual half L beer which is huge. Also do not ask for a glass of tapwater you'll get a rude "NO we don't give that"

Ambiance is perfect. The drinks are superb. Rated a little low for food because of the limited food choices (salami and cheese). Otherwise everything is nice A good place for bonding over drinks/cocktails. Highly recommend! You need a guest card to access the rooftop (6th floor)

10€ entrance fee (redeemable) that gets you no drink cause cocktails start from 13€. Self service at the „premium hotel” bar? Half of the cocktail menu not available. Out of menu standard cocktails not available. Poor decor. The view is okay. Definitely a tourist trap, won’t be visiting again.

Nice view of city hall, however, also a lot of not-renovated roofs. 10€ entrance fee - but they will be reimbursed at the bar. However, the bar is self-service only has a few cocktails and these are not correctly mixed but rather poored together quickly. Unfriendly staff at the entrance. Would not recommend to come here twice.

The rooftop bar at the Warwick hotel is phenomenal! Thanks to our waiter Ashraf our drinks and time spent here was a perfect experience! This is a must stop place in Brussels and if you are lucky enough to get served by Ashraf you are sure to have a good time!

It’s located in the heart of Brussels. The view from the rooftop was lovely but you need to pay 10€ to get in, that same ticket (10€) can be used to pay your drink at the rooftop. Price wise is ok when it comes to cocktails or champagne (alcohol beverages) but when you talk about non-alcohol beverages than it’s something else (pricey). Depending on when you visit there it can be very crowded to not crowded at all. I recommend people to visit there (you can even order food besides drinks).

Not quite as many rums as it used to have pre-COVID but still loads and still great.

We went to try absinthe at this bar one day and were very well attended by a bartender and his friendly wife. A few days later we returned, but unfortunately, this time, we were attended to by an arrogant woman who yelled and insulted us for being foreigners. We couldn't consume anything there because of this rude employee and, unfortunately, ended our trip wanting to have absinthe one more time. I don't know if this place has any management, but honestly, I've never seen an employee treat customers so badly.

Last week we tried for the first time the Absinthe and was awesome! The girl named Sophie and his boyfriend who worked as a bartender was very nice and polite! Unfortunately in our last night in Brussels and Europe (Thursday) we tried again and the woman who was attend the bar was VERY RUDE! In Brazil we do not have so many flavors of “Fanta” so we buy two flavors in the market and we finish getting in the bar again… We din’t know that was not allow to get in the bar with cans!!! The girl was to rude and din’t give us the chance to explain… she kicked us out of the bar… So I think that the staff from the place has to know how rude and unprofessional she was!!! As for her, I think you (u knows who u are) need to understand that being polite and nice can take u around the world!!! Sophie and her boyfriend ❤️ You guys rockkkk! I honestly enjoy this bar almost every time I come here. It's a great place to meet people from all around the world while at the same time sampling many spirits in a classic Belgian atmosphere. Stays open until about 6 in the morning which is also awesome. Absinthe is always a great start to the night.

After delirium beer house is closed, people always cross the street (with a great dificulty) to serve absinthe in here. Biggest absinthe and spirits collection I have seen.

Nice pub with a cool atmosphere! You must try the meter beers! You can chose your favorite later and only drink it. As usual there were some old pals messing around, but the security and staff member solve the situation gracefully after we report it. The place is crowded later at night: so grab your table early!

I came here for a quick bite and got the goats cheese and pesto waffle. The waffle was really good. The service was quick. The tables and chair were made of metal and were small. They were not very comfortable to sit at. I would recommend stopping in and getting a waffle.

Good taste but little slow on delivery even with less crowd in the shop. Atmosphere is good. Price is good as they have space for seating also. 1 star less only for speed of cooking, rest all was great.

I Tried the Waffle Factory and was honestly underwhelmed. The prices are quite high compared to other waffle spots in the city, and the quality doesn’t match the cost. Surprisingly, the savory waffles were better than the sweet ones, which lacked the richness you'd expect from a Belgian waffle. The hot chocolate was very disappointing — extremely light in taste, almost like colored water. The interior has an industrial feel that lacks warmth or charm, making the experience feel more like a fast food stop than a cozy waffle café. Not the best choice if you're looking for authentic Belgian waffle vibes.

I ordered a waffle with milk chocolate and pistachio sauce along with an iced Americano. The waffle itself was average, and the outside tables could have been cleaner. However, I really appreciate the staff — the iced Americano wasn’t on the menu, but they kindly made it for me. Great service from the team!

Ordered a Liège Mont-Blanc and received a waffle missing the toppings promised. Staff seemed misinformed and did not pay attention to the orders placed. He made a mistake with the customer before me as well. This waffle is expensive but tasted mediocre. There are a lot more better waffles options in the city.

The seating arrangement is comfortable, with outdoor seating also available. The service is good and attentive. However, the waffles, which were highly recommended, didn’t quite live up to the hype.

To our taste, the liege waffles was undercooked. And the Belgian waffle was OK. Both were a banana split variant. The hot choco was a disappointment as it was taste so normal.

Visited In ‘t Spinnekopke on our trip to Brussels after seeing recommendations online and it was well worth the visit! The food was exceptional, the restaurant was beautiful and the service was immaculate. The staff were very knowledgeable and were extremely friendly and just made the whole experience really special! Can’t wait to return and to try more of the menu! 10/10

You’re missing out on the heart of Brussels if you don’t eat here. We were looking for authentic restaurants to eat out in and found this on google and made a booking. The restaurant itself is tucked just outside of the tourist area which is nice and has a great local vibe. The interior makes you feel like you have stepped back in time to a farm house inn. Service was amazing with Sven and the team providing beer recommendations, stories and factoids about the local produce and people of the area. All the dishes tasted like they were made with love. The chef clearly takes pride in producing quality and traditional plates that have you savouring every bite. We ordered the Bloempanch (black pudding) along with Flemish stew and apple pie for desert. 10/10 would recommend.

If you want to travel back in time and experience reql Belgium food this is the place to go. The restaurant offers delicious traditional food in a cosy and relaxing place... you feel like visiting a family member. They also have a nice selection of Gueuse, Lambic and beers so do not hesitate to ask the waiter to guide you in the selection.

Very traditional place, great for going both alone and in groups. If you're like me and like to explore the unique world of lambics, this place has an incredible selection, ranging from slightly funkier beers to very unique aged beers Staff was extremely kind and helped me navigate through the choices, as well as recommend different types. Very traditional Brussels food is so served here, would especially recommend the stews made from traditional meat cuts

We had a good time at this historical restaurant. Immediately when you walked in that door, you could feel that this was a special place. We had a few beers before dinner (the kitchen was open from 1800-2130) The waiter told us a history about lambic beers and also gave us some tasters. The food was good, rustic, and Flemish It seemed like the other guests in the restaurant were locals, and that's always a good sign! Despite all this, I walked out with a feeling of a "good +" in total. Maybe I had too high expectations about this place. But you should visit this place while you're in Brussels.

Stopped by The Sister Brussels Cafe and was pretty happy with the focaccia sandwich selection – the 'Forever Young' was a good choice! It's cool that they have a bunch of vegan options too, like that 'Vegan Sunrise' savoury waffle you tried, which sounds interesting. Plus, they've got a good selection of organic beers, which is a nice bonus. The location is super convenient too, being very near the Grand Place. The food was definitely enjoyable, but I did find it a little on the pricier side overall. Still, considering the tasty options, the organic beer, and the great location, I'd probably give it somewhere between a 3.8 and 4-star rating. Worth checking out if you're looking for a good sandwich, vegan eats, or organic beer right by the Grand Place!

Hit and miss. Some of the food was good and some was not. We had to add salt and pepper to almost everything. The salad and the sandwich was tasty. Everything else needed improving on many levels. Falafel were too dry, crumbly and not really edible. They did not charge us for them which was nice. The decor is nice and ambient. The staff are friendly.

There are vegan options, I tried: Fried vegan ‘egg’ morning - very good, the texture kinda tastes like the regular eggs, very tasteful. Matcha was good, too sweet for me. The service was excellent. Another day I had a Forever Young Focaccia, and a black tea with oat milk, both great!

Stopped at this lovely cafe because I wanted to sample some local beer. Even though this is a cafe that focuses mainly on light healthy meals and fresh juices they do have 2 tasting flight of Belgian beer. As we are a family with a 9 year old this is a better option that a traditional bar. Service was efficient and I quite enjoyed the beer.

great place for brunch, and although the waffles aren’t the best ive tried, they’re still quite good (i have celiac disease so even finding a place is already nice so having them be actually good is incredible!). would def recommend, a must visit for gluten free eaters

A nice cafe with sweet and savoury vegan options, in the heart of the city. The breakfast menu is available until 1pm and includes vegan waffles and vegan 'eggs'. I tried a savoury waffle with tofu bacon, vegan chese, avocado and sundried tomatoes. I also had their harmonie tea. Everything tasted good although the vegan waffle is a bit more stodgy than how I remember regular waffles being. Very friendly and efficient service.

My husband and I were very impressed by this place. We ordered the eel mousse, horse, veal cheeks and chocolate mousse. Service was outstanding and highly recommend this place!

In terms of "classic" it's hard to find a place moreso than Les Brigittines, an Art Nouveau brasserie focused on hearty cuisine led by locally born and raised Chef Dirk Myny. Noteworthy to Michelin for regal and rustic recipes, weighty paintings and the enormous chimney dominating a former postal building that gets rather warm during summer, guests are seated at old wood tables where staff is professional but not overly friendly. Offering a good Wine list and two Beers on tap, all at a fair price, Bread with Butter proceeds Appetizers ranging from Brains to Head Cheese and Trotters with both the latter served with very little focus on plating but rather on flavor. Market focused with good sourcing, Pig’s Feet from Saint Chinian and an “Old Belgian Fat Cow” aged to peak flavor just a few examples, Les Brigittines Fries deserve all their accolades and more while Horse cooked rare picks up a lot of flavor from Whelks and Watercress plus their Juices.

The two dishes I liked the most: Smoked fish with pork and chocolate mousse. Really good balance hidden flavours!

The chef didn't appreciate that I was dining alone and gave me a disapproving look throughout my meal. I ordered the meat along with fries and a salad, but I had to request the fries since they weren't served initially. I also had to ask for more information about the menu items, as he wasn’t very forthcoming with details. I even had to order the butter aa bread came with none 🫠 Although I would have liked to order dessert, I wanted to leave as soon as possible. However, the rest of the staff were amazing! Tha k you!

Very classic restaurant with good food. The place is traditional and they don’t even serve Coca Cola or fizzy drinks. The food is wonderful and the meat is with unlimited fries and salad, mayonnaise. The meat is really good. The deserts I didn’t understand what was it in the menu but it was really good good!!

There are not many food options but they are delicious. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the chef comes to most tables and takes care of them. We liked the atmosphere. There is a very wide wine list. We tried pavlova and creme brulee for dessert, mussels and veal cheek for dinner.

One of my favorite bars in Brussels so glad it reopened two weeks ago. The place has been refurbished but kept its charm, the walls resurfaced and new copper lines are run. Friendly and warm service, and knowledgeable about the beers on sale. There is a small courtyard on one side with the same green doors to the bathrooms.

One of the coolest bars I’ve ever had the pleasure to drink at. It was originally opened in 1884 in a building that was built in 1664. The bartender was very helpful, the beer selection was great and the atmosphere was incredible. Highly recommend visiting. It is hidden down an alley off one of the main streets in downtown Brussels, so it’s very cozy and quiet compared to the very loud, touristy part of town it’s in.

Went here to get a beer. It’s in a very small alley way between shops in Brussels so you have to keep an eye for the sign but best to just get the map to tell you the location. I went in and was greeted by (probably the owner’s) Border Collie who’s very friendly. It’s a very small pub and perfect for you to grab a quick beer and take a rest before you continue your exploration in Brussels again.
