Sorrento in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Sorrento, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Known for its beautiful scenery, Sorrento is the perfect destination for tourists who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a place where visitors can relax and enjoy the magnificent views of Mt. Vesuvius. Sorrento sits on the Bay of Naples, and in front of the city lies the ancient Porta Marina Grande, which is one of the city's most important historical attractions.
With favorites like Il Duomo, Parco di Villa Fiorentino, and Ristorante Pizzeria L'Abate, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Chantecler's Trattoria and Marameo Beach Club so you can get the best taste of Sorrento while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Villa Comunale di Sorrento is a charming park that resembles a town square and is a popular attraction due to its exotic plantings, seasonal flowers, and large shady trees. The park offers panoramic views of the Bay of Naples, with tourists flocking to capture the endless coastal scenery. Visitors can enjoy sights such as Marina San Francesco, Marina Piccola, Marina Grande, and Mount Vesuvius from the park's railings.
Amazing view of the sea and beaches! We really loved it. You can take a beautiful photo and then walk down to the sea and the beaches. On the way down, you get to enjoy the views of the charming houses in the hills and all the stunning scenery around you. I’ve also added a photo of the sunbed and umbrella prices — not cheap, but pretty much the same as everywhere along the Sorrento coast.

Villa Comunale in Sorrento is a truly fantastic spot that offers some of the best views in the city. It's a great place to just relax and unwind, especially in the evening. We spent some time there watching the sunset, and it was a genuinely calm and soothing experience. The panoramic views of the entire Sorrento coast from the park are simply breathtaking. The way the light hits the water and the cliffs is beautiful, and it makes for a perfect place to just sit on a bench and take it all in. It's a simple pleasure, but a great way to end a day of sightseeing and escape the crowds for a bit.

A beautiful park with breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Peaceful and relaxing, with lovely gardens and benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. A perfect spot for a quiet break in Sorrento.

Beautiful spot with amazing views over the sea and Marina Piccola. well-kept area, perfect to take photos. You can also take the lift down to the beach. Definitely worth a visit while in Sorrento!

A fantastic public park offering commanding, panoramic views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It's a peaceful spot for a relaxing break. Crucially, the park features a dedicated elevator down to Marina Piccola (the port) and the beachfront, making cliff access quick and easy
Nika K — Google review
Visited the beach below the Villa Comunale the other day and it was wonderful! I paid 15 euros for a chair and changing room, which allowed me to sunbathe and swim in the protected area. I enjoyed food and beverage service and it made for a fantastic afternoon. I even had a visit from a sweet black kitty! I highly recommend it!
Marti M — Google review
We stayed out of the city, in the hills, which was a €50 taxi ride one way, but our views were spectacular. End of October it wasn't busy and the weather was perfect.

Chiostro di San Francesco, a serene 14th-century monastery located near Villa Comunale in Sorrento, holds a rich history dating back to ancient settlements and pagan temples. Once an important religious and administrative center, it now hosts classical music concerts and serves as a wedding venue. The nearby Magi House Relais offers various accommodations and amenities just minutes away from the cloister. Visitors can also enjoy the famous local lemon-based liquor, widely used in culinary creations throughout Campania.
What an unforgettable place to visit in Sorrento, Italy. This is a perfect example of what a cloister looks like in Sorrento. A beautiful covered walkway and a gorgeous church with one nave and six chapels. There are many weddings here and the location is amazing.
Olivia C — Google review
A gorgeous sanctuary and beautiful place to get married. Hannah & Jordan has an intimate ceremony hidden from the bustling streets before jumping on a boat at the harbour below and speeding off to Positano, I'll never forget how much fun it was to capture!

This was a beautiful and peaceful place to visit in sorrento. I highly recommend it if you like visiting churches and monasteries.

Went in Mid August. Such a peaceful place beautifully preserved, with its mix of medieval, Gothic, and Arabic arches. Entrance is free too.
Lee S — Google review
In love. If you go further down to the left of the main doors to the church you can escape the hustle of Sorrento beachgoers. It's currently undergoing refurbishments upstairs so I wasn't able to see the swing or view, but it was still so worth it. So peaceful and absolutely lovely.

Wow! What an amazing find! The grounds are very nice. The art exhibit on the second floor was amazing! A local photographer's (Raffaele Celentano) b&w photos are incredible, especially the Mother Theresa section. The views from the building are the best in the entire city! Also, the price of admission to the art exhibit was only 5€!
William C — Google review
A beautiful place, not obviously sign posted to look for the entrance to the area. We also visited a beautiful photo gallery at the top of the terrace with breathtaking views of Sorrento. There was an admission charge of €5 to the gallery but it was well worth it for the experience of the wonderful photos and the views.

Such a beautiful location for a wedding ceremony! As a wedding photographer, I get to travel around Europe visiting some of the most best wedding venues. The cloisters is truly unique and a beautiful location for a wedding ceremony before choosing a local venue like Villa Antiche Mura for your wedding reception. Highly recommended.

Leonelli's Beach is a classic and beloved Sorrento beach club that has been passed down through three generations, making it a well-established and family-friendly destination. The beach offers a private bathing area in a sheltered bay with ample lounge chairs, umbrellas, and decks for visitors to relax on. Families particularly enjoy the small sandy section of the beach, perfect for young children to play in the shallow and safe waters.
We had a lovely time on the beach. We were there on a Thursday middle of June, arrived at 9.30am to a very empty beach. We got two sunbeds with an umbrella for the day (€25 each), later on left the towels and walked to the main restaurant for a meal (which was lovely). It is well advertised that the beach is not free (the only free one in Sorrento being in Marina Grande) and the food is not cheap, but it is Sorrento and the demand is higher than the supply can ever be. For what it is, we really did enjoy ourselves.
Rita T — Google review
The location is absolutely beautiful – right by the beach with a stunning view, and the drink I had was genuinely excellent. However, I was disappointed by the service. One of the waiters was very pushy about getting a tip, despite the drink already being overpriced. It left a bad impression on an otherwise great experience.
Sondre L — Google review
One of the staff assigned us a sun bed and later on a guy came SCREAMING at us that those sun beds were reserved and we needed to move, even though we were assigned there and didn’t choose it ourselves, he was so rude and gave us another spot with not such a good view. Other than that the beach was pretty and we ended up kinda having a good time.
Citlali M — Google review
Good food, drinks, shade and service. You can also rent a cabin to stash your stuff or change if needed. Also had a small beach. The sea was so refreshing and we swam all day. The water was also very clean with no boats around and the bottom was sandy.
Monica — Google review
Sooo beautiful. They also have an elevator to go down to the beach from the port which charges 2.50 euros per person.
Grishma S — Google review
Main male waitress Tonino is rude, rude!! Do not recommend to go there neither for tourists or locals. The waitress was demanding cash after hour drinks were served, but not only that, he was giving us a big face when we were paying with card. A big “no no”on a tourism industry.
David R — Google review
Enjoy the town of Sorrento, but avoid this place — a total disappointment, a complete rip-off. Two chairs facing the restaurant and one umbrella cost €60 — a nightmare. You can't even call it a beach. All the sunbeds were taken, so we decided to take the chairs with the idea of moving to sunbeds once they became available. But we couldn’t even swim, not even in the small rocky areas of this beach. They told us you can only swim here, near some large stone steps — terrible. Don’t waste your money. We stayed only 2 hrs.

Il Duomo, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, is a must-see in Amalfi. The cathedral is located in Piazza Duomo and offers a stunning display of architecture and history. In Sorrento, the historic center boasts attractions like the Romanesque cathedral called Il Duomo, dedicated to Saints Philip and James. This beautiful cathedral features remarkable artwork and statues, including one of Saint Rita of Cascia.
Raki near by had a very long line so we walked a few steps to find the place. They had great flavors and a bonus macaroon included in your purchase! My wife loved the Bounty(coconut and chocolate) flavor. Staff was friendly. We went 2 times in our 3 days stay. Would recommend!

The best lemon cake, lemon sorbet and gelato in Sorrento. Ask for Maria and Diego. Fantastic servers. They always bring little surprises. You won’t be disappointed.

We found this incredible Italian gelato shop on our first night in Sorrento. We came back all 3 nights of our stay. Maria was our beautiful host serving us the most delicious high quality gelato in over 20 flavors. She welcomed us each night with kindness and little extras and made our time in Sorrento extra special. They also serve a variety of other treats, drinks, food so plenty for everyone to enjoy. The shop is clean spacious with tables inside and outside. Location is so central to the heart of the Sorrento walking street. You will love this lovely shop.

We had the best gelato in Italy at Gelateria Il Duomo and the most delicious lemon cake prepared by Maria Rosa presented like a piece of art. Meraviglioso! We will be back, grazie.

Best Gelato in town! Me and my wife tried the “Ricotta cheese and Pear” gelato on our first night and we got addicted to it! We literally planned our next day in a way that we end it on a high with the same gelato. Unfortunately, the staff mentioned that the flavour was sold out. We got really bummed as we were actually waiting for the whole day to get our hands on the lovely gelato. After hearing our plight, fortunately, the lovely lady on the counter asked us to wait for 5 minutes. She came out with the fresh gelato of our beloved flavour and we relished every lick of it!!! Cheers to the staff, their kindness and love, and the amazing gelato they serve!!!

Great service and fantastic food and drinks. The lemon cake is amazing, made by Maria. Definitely one to try if you're staying in Sorrento!

What a terrific place. Great wine and an incredible Maria taking care of us for 6 hours. She was fantastic and speaks . Even saw her creating an incredible ice cream birthday treat with candle and singing to the lady. Love this place and highly recommend.

Avoid tourist trap, €12 for two beers they cost €4.50 for six in the supermarket down the road, in comparison a great little bar near the train station, 5 minutes walk €5. Don't mind a mark up bars have to make a living, only paid €14 in a 4* hotel rooftop bar which was expected but €12 in an ice cream parlour 🤣 WOW

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Sorrento, I Giardini di Cataldo is a delightful family-run lemon grove that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of organic citrus products. Here, you can savor an array of homemade delights such as zesty lemon marmalade, refreshing sorbetto, and traditional limoncello. The experience is enriched by engaging stories from Luigi about the unique process behind crafting authentic limoncello using only the peel—an eye-opening revelation for many!
This is the magical place I discovered cantaloupe gelato and never looked back. Now I hunt for this flavor everywhere. I find it rarely and think of it often. This place is cute and I so appreciate the little bit of the lemon grove that’s public (you can see more and get a tour with a ticket)! FYI there are non-alcoholic options too, so something for everyone, and you can buy lemon flavored pasta and candy and many other things.
Sarah N — Google review
Based on the many great reviews, especially for the lemon ice cream, I got curious and decided to try a small cup of the lemon sorbet. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment for me. There was only a hint of lemon flavor, and the rest was just pure sugar. It was so sweet that it literally burned in my throat and hurt my teeth. Since I haven't consumed added sugar for over 1.5 years, I am very sensitive to sweetness, and almost everything is far too sweet for my taste. So, it might be that for most people, this is a good balance. However, that doesn't change the fact that it had almost no lemon taste, which was the main reason I got the lemon sorbet in the first place. I tried two small spoonfuls and threw the rest away. A wasted 3 Euros, but at least I opted for the smallest cup.
Ernesto M — Google review
Cute spot with lots of charm. Delicious lemoncello and lemon sorbet. We also experienced the cranky lady. No smile, no eye contact. She should not be in a customer facing job. Takes away from the experience. Younger staff very sweet and helpful.

We first experienced I Giardini Di Cataldo on a Food Tour (https://www.sorrentofoodtours.com) where we toured the lemon grove, learned how limoncello is produced in their factory on site and tasted several liquors. Our tour guide, Tamara took us all over the city tasting food/drink and this was certainly the highlight. Secondly, we did a cooking class in the garden with Sammy's Food Cooking School (this was also booked via https://www.sorrentofoodtours.com/). Our guide/translator was Alessandro and the chef was Sammy. It was magical preparing a three course meal inside the oasis of the lemon grove. All the food was prepped before we arrived and we returned with recipes we plan to attempt at home. Alessandro and Sammy were so much fun to cook with and learn from - they have great senses of humor and made everything feel extremely special and relaxed. The food was simply delicious. Most of all, the experience was intimate and authentic.

A definite highlight of our trip to Sorrento was the lemon tour at I Giardini di Cataldo! The property has a stunning lemon garden, and we were lucky enough to get a fantastic tour led by Rosa. Rosa was an absolute gem!! truly the best guide we could have asked for. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the lemon groves and their history but also wonderfully humorous, keeping us laughing throughout the tour. She even went the extra mile, offering to take our pictures in the garden, creating some lovely memories for us. The tour ended in a tasting of the lemon products, where Rosa explained each item. Of course, no visit would be complete without a stop at their store right by front, and we made sure to pick up some limoncello to bring a taste of Sorrento home with us. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sorrento 🤩

What a nice surprise to walk along a Sorento street near our Hotel and see this place. Everything lemon is here, as well as a little lemon orchard at the back. Nice and cozy and for me as an Aussie, the first time in Italy I got a decent cupperchino and with chocolate sprinkles on top. I was impressed.

This is an Amazing property. Host is fantabulous. As they say the best for the last. We stayed here for 5 days as final destination of our 18 days trip in Europe. The best property where we had a great experience in sorrento. An active lemon garden maintained by the family in the middle of the city. Amazing host who will ensure you have the best time in Sorrento-very friendly, approachable and always available to guide. I have not come across a host like her in more than decade of travelling to Europe .. God bless her and her wonderful family. You have our heart from India 🇮🇳

This shop is listed on Google as a "Liquor Store" but it's definitely not! It's a gelato shop with fun lemon treats and an amazing lemon garden in the back. The lemon sorbet (not sure that's what it's called) was delicious and eating it in the garden filled with lemon trees sweetened the experience.

Chantecler's Trattoria is situated in the heart of Sorrento, amidst a street steeped in medieval and Renaissance history. Housed within a 15th-century patrician villa, the restaurant still retains many original features, offering visitors a unique dining experience. Whether stopping by for a quick lunch or indulging in traditional Neapolitan cuisine after exploring the wonders of the Sorrento peninsula, Chantecler's provides a delightful blend of history and authentic flavors.
We just happened to come upon this little gem while in Sorrento. It's tucked away in an alley, away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, however, don't be surprised if you wait a little bit to get seated...but it's worth the wait! The food is flavorful and portions are generous. The waitress/waiters are kind and helpful about the menu. We ended up eating here two times during our three night stay we enjoyed it so much!

Beautiful family run restaurant. We were lucky to get a table for 2 as it was a Saturday night. The whole time we were sitting down, there was a queue outside of people trying to get tables. Food was beautiful, incredibly cheap compared to the other high profile restaurants in Sorrento and the quality and quantity were definitely better! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent experience here today. We ordered the fried anchovies and king prawns as an appetiser, and the seafood handmade pasta for our mains. The food was delicious!! It was fresh and full of flavour, and the white wine we had was a perfect pairing with our food. Service was great, the seating / atmosphere was perfect, I really felt the Italian vibe, the culture, the people, it was just perfect. The complimentary bread, olive oil/chilli oil and fresh chilli’s were also very yum! Thank you for having us we will definitely be back :)
Sandra H — Google review
Very disappointing. The food took too long to arrive, and when it finally came it was cold, bland, and tiny portions. The seafood pasta had only mussels and clams, and the risotto portion was barely a spoonful, the squid was tasteless and chewy ! We returned 3 dishes yet paid almost full price!! Not worth it.

Had all my lunches and dinners here while in Sorrento. Lovely little family owned place with top notch food. I essentially ordered whatever the staff recommended. Everything was fab.
Anish T — Google review
This spot is tucked away on a back street, but is well known and rightfully well loved! After reading the reviews, we had to try it for ourselves. The mozzarella and prosciutto were fresh, and the peppered mussels were simple but tasty. We enjoyed the Lasagna (Sorrento Style) and the Scialatielli with Porcini Mushrooms and Smoked Cheese. Both pastas were delicious and full of flavour. It truly felt like a home cooked, family meal—extremely impressed with the flavours and fresh ingredients. We didn’t have a reservation but sat on their lovely street terrace. It got extremely busy once we sat down, so we found that service was quite slow (dinner rush). The staff were still friendly and welcoming but seemed overwhelmed; we weren’t in a rush, so this wasn’t the end of the world. We would recommend this family-run place for anyone looking for authentic, delicious Neapolitan cuisine.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are amazing – super friendly and really attentive. Every single dish we had was delicious. The stuffed courgette flowers were incredible, and the mixed seafood platter was so fresh. One of our favourite meals in Sorrento. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing. My family all had pasta dishes, my wife also had the catch of the day which was sea bass. Some of the best food we had in Sorrento for sure and nowhere near as expensive as other places. We had booked a table through our hotel, which was good as there was a queue forming at around 8pm. We were sat on a table outside on the narrow street but, there were a few e-bikes flying past which kind of took the magic away a bit.

If you’re searching for the best resort in Sorrento, look no further than Gino and his amazing team including Tony and Carmine. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was truly world-class – warm, welcoming, and always professional. The food and drinks were outstanding, easily some of the best we had in Sorrento. Every meal felt authentic and fresh, and the cocktails were unforgettable. The real highlight is the grotto in Sorrento – the perfect place to swim, cool off, and relax with great music in a unique setting. It’s a hidden gem that makes this resort stand out from anywhere else in the Amalfi Coast. We will absolutely be returning every time we are in Sorrento. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for the ultimate combination of luxury, good vibes, and authentic Italian hospitality.

Back again after two years and it’s still a favorite. Great food, perfect vibe and amazing service. Tony, our server, took such good care of us…oh and grab the VIP area if you can for extra special experience!
Reggie N — Google review
Marameo Beach Club was a bit of a letdown. €30 per chair and €10 for an umbrella, with no side table included — which makes enjoying drinks a bit awkward. Towels cost another €5 each, so things add up quickly. Lunch came to €75 for a few small snacks, and while that’s not totally unexpected along this stretch of the marina (most beach clubs are pricey), the service didn’t match the spend. Our waiter was friendly at first but seemed to lose interest after we didn’t tip — even though we had to ask several times for a side table that never arrived. If you’re heading down to the beach clubs here, just know you’re paying more for the location than the experience. Not terrible, but definitely not great value either.

This restaurant, located in Sorrento, specializes in antipasti, pasta and Italian main courses. The food is beautifully prepared and the wine list is extensive. It would make an ideal place to enjoy a relaxed evening out with friends.
Thankful to our Airbnb host (Carmine) for having made a reservation for us here - what a treat! Authentic Sorrento / Amalfi coast cuisine. Surprisingly pizza wasn’t something we ordered- the rest of the menu was more attractive. Beautiful decor, attentive and professional staff, ample seating. We went light with the order this evening - a spaghetti cacio e pepe, a ravioli neri (ravioli made with squid ink, stuffed with seafood and cheese), and a fried cod croquette. Amazing restaurant, mouth watering flavors. Would love to return.

We recently dined here while on an excursion from the cruise port. We only had a limited time while in Sorrento. We sat down without a wait and they served us promptly. I highly recommend getting pizza since this is home of the pizza. You will not be disappointed. Also, limoncello with complementary after your meal. Make sure to eat fast so you have time to do some shopping. Next time we are in Sorrento, we are coming back.

This is a nice place to eat. The food was tasty but over priced. The hostess was very pleasant but the main manager was not very friendly and a bit grumpy. The rest of the servers were great. The restaurant was beautiful inside and very clean. If you don't mind paying for high prices it's worth visiting.

As they say—always ask the locals where to eat! We would’ve never discovered this amazing spot just by walking around, but thankfully, our hotel staff recommended it and made a reservation for us. To our surprise, the food was absolutely next level—every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. When we mentioned we’d like to share our dishes, the staff thoughtfully split everything into two portions without us even asking again. It’s those little touches that make a big difference. The seafood platter was a standout—rich in flavor, incredibly fresh, and beautifully presented. Honestly, there wasn’t a single dish we could fault. A special thank you to Francesco, who truly elevated our dining experience with his warmth and attentiveness. This restaurant is a must-visit if you’re looking for incredible food and genuine hospitality.

Excellent meal, pasta dishes perfectly cooked and tasty. Service was very good, prices are little high but well worth it for the quality.

One of the best restaurants we tried during our recent visit to Sorrento. We ordered a pizza & calzone and both were wonderful and plentiful enough to share. Be aware that this is a white tablecloth restaurant though so plan on being a bit dressed up. As an added bonus, the restaurant treats each guest to a shot of limoncello at the end of the meal.
Zack F — Google review
I had the stuffed pizza and caramel chocolate cake. The pizza wasn't really cooked all the way but I was so hungry that I kept quiet. I've learned that if you tell an Italian restaurant that their food wasn't prepared properly that they take great offense to it. I've been in the food industry and I've worked in places that do things to food on the return back to the customer so thats always been a paranoia of mine that someone will do something to my food if I send it back. We had a change of waiters mid meals not by choice but we were okay with it since our original waiter wasn't in a good mood and rushed us through our ordering. Prior to coming here we saw a few pictures on the border of pg rating so I wasn't surprised to see the picture on my place once my pizza was finished. I think if you don't speak their language it makes your experience slightly worse and seems like they didn't care for you the same way.

Ordered gluten free pizza and it was great. Really enjoyed it. My partner order calzone and found that the ingredients were not well spread out inside and it was low on tomato sauce

L'Antica Trattoria is a charming restaurant located in the historic heart of Sorrento, offering cozy rooms adorned with vintage decor and a delightful flower-filled terrace. The restaurant provides an intimate and refined dining experience, with captivating and imaginative names for its small rooms. It's a peaceful oasis where guests can savor traditional homemade recipes in an atmosphere of warm and serene intimacy.
We had an amazing dining experience at L'Antica Trattoria! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and while it’s a bit more expensive, it’s absolutely worth every euro. The food was outstanding: fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Our waiter, Luigi, made the evening unforgettable. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. His recommendations were spot-on, especially the calamari, it was the best we’ve ever had. From start to finish, the little touches made the meal special: complimentary bites to kick things off, incredible olive oil, a lemon pasta that blew me away, my wife had a special concoction of clams, mussels, and tomatoes, and a perfect pastry at the end that truly deserves a chef’s kiss. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Sorrento: delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond.

First of all you need to make reservations in advance. We were welcomed with a glass of prosseco and some amuse buche. You should also try their bread with olive oil and salt. We ordered calamari and red prawns for appetizers. They were both good but red prawns were impressive. For main we had cacio e pepe & see bass. Excelent. And for desert we had chef fantasy pastiera&tiramisu. But we also get a profiterol for free. The ambiance was great. The wine was spectacular. Our host Antonino made us feel very good and welcomed and did not rush us. Make sure not to eat when you come here because you will be full.

Must place to eat! My BF and I, both cooks, had an amazing lunch and dinner in L’Antica Trattoria this summer and we can assure you is the best place to eat in Sorrento. All food was amazing and the service truly makes you feel like a family. We had a creamy lemon pasta with prawns, a beautiful pasta a la nerano, a very well cook lobster with coconut cream, for dessert: Tiramisu and Ricotta and Pear, tasty, unforgettable dinner, thank you nonno Aldo and team!

The atmosphere and the staff were amazingly friendly and fancy. They were very helpful and descriptive. We ordered shrimp & lemon pasta and pacio e pepe Pasta with beef. The shrimp and beef and lemon and ingredients were of high quality and soo fresh. But we didn't fancy the taste very much. The ingredients on their own are amazing however, the overall taste wasn't special or unique.

We love pasta. Do you love it too? Then you absolutely need to visit this place. This is where my boyfriend and I got goosebumps. We ordered the lemon pasta, and it was just perfect. The lemon flavor lingers from the first bite to the last. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Every dish we had was perfetto! The gentleman who served us was truly charming, full of laughter, good manners, and smiles. He made our visit to the restaurant unforgettable. If you’re lucky, you might even hear him sing, turning the restaurant into an opera. Will definitely miss this place.

Another incredible experience at this restaurant! This time we attended as a party of 6 and we were extremely well looked after and the food was outstanding amidst the beautiful surroundings. Our waiter to was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were unsure which wine to order and he gave us the perfect recommendation. . He also suggested a mix of antipasti from the garden and we were all blown away by the delicious, fresh selection. We had some green beans in tomato sauce, stuffed zucchini flowers, fresh mozzarella and fresh tomato salad. We then shared a mix of the famous cannelloni before our main course. I ordered the lamb chops which were juicy and full of flavour. Every member of our party were extremely impressed and grateful for a fantastic day. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. Go and have a fantastic experience. Highly recommend 👌🏼

A unique dining experience with amazing food. To be seated, we went inside and up a set of stairs into the main part of the restaurant where you're greeted. After less than five minutes, we were seated in the dining area which is all under beautiful lemon trees, and everyone is surrounded by foliage and vibrant green leaves. The restaurant easily seats a couple hundred people, and as such is very busy. Staff are constantly coming through with food. The food came fast, and everything tasted delicious. All three of our main courses, however, were cold when they arrived which was a shame. You can buy wine by the half bottle. There is no affordable "house wine" option for €10 (as of September 2025). Portion sizes were moderate. There is a cover fee of 2,5 euros and you're expected to spend minimum €30 per person. There is an English version of the menu.

the cutest lemon farm could not recommend enough- we shared a bottle of red wine, their famous cannoli pasta and then I got rigatoni and braccoli. It was incredible and so was the gnocchi. The table was gorgeous. It was under lemon trees with real lemons at the restaurant was huge and they fit 500 tables. We wanted to have our wedding there. This restaurant was four generation family owns since 1800 and first restaurant ever in sorrento

One of the most beautiful restaurants and great service. Definitely book in advance and sit in the garden. After your meal, walk through the beautiful gardens, it’s very magical. Food is pretty good and the drinks are delicious. It is apparently where cannelloni was invited so we had to try it and it was ok. I would definitely go again mainly for the atmosphere, it feels very magical. But food could definitely improve. Also there’s lots of comments about the prices being overpriced. I thought it’s fairly in range with other restaurants and considering the atmosphere and space, it’s definitely worth it.

The food at O’Parrucchiano La Favorita in Sorrento was outstanding, and the wine complemented it perfectly. The highlight of our meal was, without a doubt, their famous cannelloni — a specialty of the house that is simply a must-try. Beyond the food, the setting is absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant has a stunning ceiling covered with natural lemon branches, creating a magical atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Dining beneath the lemon trees felt both unique and unforgettable. What truly elevated our experience, however, was our waiter. His kindness, patience, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. This place is not only about dining — it’s about living a beautiful memory in Sorrento. Highly recommended! Greetings from Canada, from your Mexican and Ukrainian friends. 🇲🇽🇺🇦🇨🇦

This is a great restaurant experience in Sorrento with an amazing indoor/outdoor garden. The ambience is truly unlike any other place we’ve been, and when you’re done eating, you can walk all around the huge garden. Parco di Villa Fiorentino is a charming park in Sorrento, featuring lovely gardens and a play area for children. Originally a private villa, it now serves as a center for art and music, hosting art exhibitions, classical concerts, and other events. The park also houses archaeological finds dating back to the Greek era, including scale models of Villa of Pollius Felix and Terracotta Vases. Visitors can admire an amazing marble statue discovered during excavation work.
Stunning building, free for public. We entered for the art exhibitions. There are free toilets too. We came in December, they set up a fun fair for children, and a Santa’s grotto. The light decoration in the garden was super Christmassy. There was even a real white horse maybe donkey there. It is such a great place for family during the festive season.

Our kids of 3 and 5 year old loved it. Very nice and clean playground, with lots of shade under the orange & lemon trees. Free toilet, clean, but without toilet paper. There's a small pond at the entrance and it has a few turtles, which together with the many small lizards that pop out from under the bushes, are also a very amusing attraction for kids.

The Cathedral of Saints Philip and James is one of the most important Catholic places of worship in Sorrento. It was built in the 11th century and has undergone several rebuildings over the centuries, most notably in the Baroque style in the 16th century. The cathedral is located just off Corso Italia, and features an impressive 16th century marble altar as well as Sorrento wood inlay choir.
It was beatiful i went there alone i admired the art despite not being religious i enjoy research about it this place has a beatiful history i recommend highly to visit if you have the chance i also advise everyone to donate whenever you can in places like this since it helps upkeep the art and it funds public schools, and even activities the churches plan most people dont realise this so i think its important to raise awareness

My husband and I had the most magical day on the Amalfi Coast thanks to the incredible boat tour we took from Sorrento! From the moment we set sail, we knew it was going to be a special experience. Our captain and our first mate, Giuseppe, were not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly warm and welcoming, making the entire day feel effortless and enjoyable. The views were absolutely breathtaking – crystal-clear waters, stunning cliffs, and charming coastal villages. Giuseppe took us to the best swimming spots, where we got to dive into the clearest water we've ever seen. The staff was incredibly attentive, always ensuring we had everything we needed, and helped us find a fantastic lunch spot with views that made it even more memorable. This boat day was truly the highlight of our honeymoon. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the Amalfi Coast. If you're thinking about booking a boat tour, don’t hesitate! 10/10, we’d recommend it to anyone looking to make unforgettable memories.

We had the greatest day with our skipper Raffaele. We did the full day private boat rental. We started in Sorrento and then went to Amalfi, Positano, and ended with the best hidden gem lunch in Nerano. By far the best way to see these places is by boat. Raffaele was so knowledgeable in explaining all the sights. Jumping into the Tyrennhian sea and swimming with fish was one of the most memorable parts of our whole trip. We highly recommend!

Incredible is the biggest understatement. We had the best day with Jett today, from the moment we got on the boat until we got off, every part was memorable. He was so kind and knowledgable, he truly gave us the highlight of our trip. Took us to the most beautiful locations, booked a lunch for us, took us to the green grotto and of course, Capri and Positano. This is a fantastic company. We had the pleasure of Alberto. Such a lovely man. He could not have crammed anymore into our day. We saw Positano & grotta dello smeraldo, which is less busy than blue grotto and just as good. We stopped to do some snorkelling and visited capri. Took a taxi to the chair lift and went up the lift (worth every second) the view was amazing. Kids even loved the super fast crossing from Capri back to Sorrento. He made us feel very welcome. If you're on the hunt for a refreshing twist on Italian cuisine, Accènto Restaurant in Sorrento is your go-to destination. This modern eatery boasts a sleek design that perfectly complements its focus on local ingredients, transforming them into culinary delights that are sure to impress. After exploring the nearby Sorrento Foundation, take a moment to unwind at this charming spot where you can indulge in delectable dishes like salmon, spaghetti with clams, and grilled prawns.
Stanley Tucci was spot on! Spaghetti alla Nerano is truly life-changing! We had our first taste of this dish at Accènto, and wow, it was incredible! The Pistacchio e Vongole pasta was also amazing! Both pasta dishes were cooked to perfection, al dente. The Polpo appetizer was incredible with the pumpkin purée. It was a combination I wouldn’t have thought of, but it was delicious. The service was amazing and perfectly attentive (but not too attentive). I would highly recommend visiting Accènto, when you are visiting Sorrento!
Zac C — Google review
It was a decent meal. I personally have a strong dislike for small portions of food. And Accento’s portions were medium, just enough for you to enjoy but not enough for you to fill up. Had the octopus for starter. I don’t think the pumpkin puree works well in the dish. The charcoal/smokiness of the octopus requires the company of something sour/fresh. The mildly sweet pumpkin didn’t do it for me. The squid ink gnocchi was delicious but the portion was just not enough for me. The capresse cake was a bit dry. Service was great.

We had a delicious dinner here our first night in Sorrento. It is a fancier restaurant, slightly towards the higher end in presentation and prices, but the pasta and appetizer we ordered to share were also delicious. We booked an earlier time for dinner so it wasn't crowded when we arrived. Service was good and we did not wait have to wait long for our food. Overall we had a nice dining experience here.

Accento deserves a Michelin Star! I'd take an international flight or a cross-country train ride just to eat at this amazing restaurant. I first discovered Accento 2 1/2 years ago on a trip with friends. The owner, Lucca, and Francesca treated us like family. They even gave us our favorite bottle of wine as a parting gift on our last night in Sorrento. Years later, I returned with my own family. They treated my sons kindly, and the food continues to be Michelin Star quality. The wine list is superb, the presentation is artistic, and the ambiance perfect. Don't miss Accento. It will be the best reservation you make during your Italian adventure.

Ravioli is very good. It has a nice smoky flavor to it. The fried zucchini spaghetti lacks flavor. It is cooked well but needs additional seasoning. The staff did a nice job of getting you bread and is very pleasant.

One of the best dining experiences in Sorrento. The cod Croquettes is surprisingly nice. Almost like a crab cake but use cod instead. The tagliatelle with red prawn is also amazing. The pasta is perfectly al dente. We choose tuna and lamb rack for the main courses. I must admit this is probably the best sesame tuna I’ve had. The lamb is also very juicy and tender. We opened a bottle of local white wine which also goes very well with the seafood. Finished with a shot of nocino and limoncello. After all, a wonderful dining experience, especially if you could have a table outdoors watching the change of color of the street in the evening.

Wow, another fantastic restaurant experience! This place exudes romance, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch, too. Plus, they had great music playing while we dined. You can never get tired of oldies love songs

The food here is amazing!! From pizza to pasta to meat dishes, this place is delicious and pretty elegant. The food tasted fresh and delicious reminding me of a home cooked meal. This place has a great ambience of quality, not too loud nor quit and they had live music which was very easy to just sing along and have a great time. However… the service was AMAZING, I will say they were soo attentive and making sure our table was accommodated right.

Ristorante L’Abate – Sorrento There are meals you eat, and then there are meals you remember — and Ristorante L’Abate belongs to the latter. Nestled in the heart of Sorrento, this restaurant hums with soul, scent, and laughter. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were met not as guests, but as old friends returning home. Aldo and Gaston, our gracious waiters, moved through the dining room like a perfectly tuned duet — every plate delivered with care & every smile genuine. Overseeing it all was Mr. Faldo, the director, whose dry, distinguished charm added a touch of theatre to the evening. We were lucky to find a table without a reservation, a small miracle at the close of the autumn season — a reminder that fortune favours the hungry. Each dish was a love letter to Italy: rich, authentic, and generous in both flavour and portion. The air carried the warmth of good company, the murmur of conversation, and the clink of glasses toasting to life. Ristorante L’Abate isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience! Where passion simmers in every sauce and hospitality lingers long after the last bite. Sorrento shines a little brighter because of it.

I recently dined at L’Abate Italian Restaurant and had a delightful experience. I ordered grilled calamari, lasagna, pizza, and lamb chops, all of which were flavorful and expertly prepared. The service was excellent, with attentive staff ensuring our needs were promptly met. Overall, it was a good dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine. We were greeted by the owner with a smile and immediately felt welcome. The staff were all efficient and attentive without being overbearing. One thing I enjoy is having staff that engage in friendly banter. The meals are excellent quality, generous portions and well presented. The waiter suggested I try the Amberjack grilled on the BBQ. It was delicious.

Stopped here for dinner one night mostly because it was one of the only places open at 6pm & we were too tired to wait anywhere else! It was a good find, right on the corner of a square outside the Main Street which made it seem quieter. I got gnocchi & my husband got lasagna—both were delicious!! We were seated right next to their DJ outside, however, and of course there was a speaker right behind us so we had to speak a lot louder to each other to be heard. But it was still a good dinner—staff was very nice & helpful with suggestions!

A well-located restaurant with good dishes. My dish (veal piccata) was OK but I would expect something more "worked and filled" than just 3 pieces of meat. Quite busy during the rush time, it will be better to book in advance or come the earliest if you want to try without booking. The staff felt nice but I felt some "pressure" to follow the right amount of order (appetizers, dishes, dessert, wines..), but TBH, it is the same in every restaurant ! The terrace is cool with a dynamic surrounding, and soft live music in the background. However, I really liked their Albate Tiramisu! I would still recommend, if you are not on the budget! 😉

Got off the ferry from Almafi & the lift to the city center was too long so we voyaged by foot. Upon reaching the top, this place caught our eye after only being able to walk a short distance more. Waiters were friendly & older one was most social. Our food was DELICIOUS! We both cleaned our plates dry. Gnnocchi was cooked on point & loved the sauce! I asked for Parmesan & the waiter agreed with me - life is cheese ❤️. Husband enjoyed his linguine with calamari & shrimp. Side of grilled veggies had good crunch and was a nice addition to the pastas. I’m no wine connoisseur so idk names to prices. I was a little bummed that a glass of Chianti was €16 but when in Sorrento right? We definitely did not have room for desert. Eating outside was a pleasant experience, noisy enough to feel like I’m eating dinner outside in Italy, but not loud enough to not hear our table conversation. The waiter did prompt that they did not charge a service fee- I knew what that meant & had already intended to tip anyway. Im not mad at yeh hustle. When tourists eat in Sorrento right?

Italian restaurant
Il Buco is a renowned Italian restaurant located in the historic center of Sorrento. The chic space, set under a stone ceiling, offers inventive tasting menus and wine pairings. The restaurant is known for its Michelin-starred status and contemporary presentation of Campania's cuisine.
Highly recommend checking out Il Buco! We had such a fun evening, fabulous food and drinks! My husband did the tasting menu and it was incredible. The rest of us ordered from the menu and truly enjoyed each thing. The highlight was the raw fish platter - amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful and made our experience even better.
Lindsay V — Google review
Unfortunately, Il Buco does not live up to its Michelin star. The food seems passionless. We opted for the “I trust you” menu because we wanted to see what creative dishes the chef would come up with. Instead, we just got random dishes from the menu. Nothing about the choices was inventive and we honestly would have saved money if we ordered those dishes directly. The initial appetizers were very bland — and so while we were initially interested in the wine pairing, we switched to just ordering a bottle since we didn’t feel like the pairing would live up to our standards. It also felt unorganized - we had about 3-4 different servers all at once. Above all, it was a fine meal. But it doesn’t deserve the amount of money we paid. I wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I had a wonderful evening here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary whilst in Sorrento. We were attended to faultlessly. The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was superb (there is a very extensive list and the staff are happy to talk and make suggestions). Is there good food elsewhere in Sorrento? Yes. Is there cheaper food elsewhere in Sorrento? Yes. However, this was comfortably the best dining experience we had during our week stay to Sorrento. Would recommend for a special evening.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences to date! Off the bat, the atmosphere was incredible. They seated me right away without a reservation, in a beautifully lit entry garden to the restaurant. It was just private enough where I could still enjoy some people watching. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely to die for. Would recommend splurging and getting the dessert. Loved the Wild Strawberry Tart, I thought I had died and went to heaven. Don't waste any more time and enjoy this lovely dining experience!

**A Perfect Finale to Our Italian Adventure 🇮🇹✨** I have nothing but praise for this incredible restaurant. For our final night in Italy, we decided to treat ourselves to a special dinner—and it was worth every single penny. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The chef personally came out to greet us and thoughtfully asked about any dietary preferences. As vegetarians, we were blown away by the care and creativity he put into crafting a menu just for us. Every dish was a masterpiece—flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with clear passion. The ambiance was warm and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a memorable evening. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in outstanding cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It was the perfect way to end our trip on a high note! ---

A fabulous location, tucked away down a cute cobbled street you enter into the restaurant and are seated in a spacious cellar that feels light, bright and airy. We opted for a tasting menu and every course was divine. The attention to detail is impeccable, with some items looking like art, but not loosing any flavour for it! Service was faultless, staff are super helpful and friendly. We went for a special birthday and our dessert course was served with a candle and a serenade of happy birthday! An absolute MUST visit if you find yourself in Sorrento!

Best restaurant in Sorrento! Service is impeccable and they literally cater to you! The chef, the manager and the servers are all extremely professional. Queen's Chips in Sorrento is a popular spot for a family snack. They fry their chips fresh to order and generously salt them. The prices are reasonable compared to other food options in the area. While they were out of cheese, the overall experience was enjoyable and worth returning for. Customers can also opt for churros with chocolate or mayo on the side, although some found them overcooked.
A pleasant and comfortable place. We received our order quickly. The French fries were delicious, crispy, and served with cheese sauce 🍟

Churro was best sugar on the market... my son loved the wings and the nuggets were good with a little bite. The fries (chips) were perfection. Crispy, tasty, and golden deliciousness. The owners took customer service to the next level and made a lil girl happy with some complementary fries. Yum.
Craig O — Google review
Used for a nice family snack while exploring the beauty of Sorrento. When I ordered, they put a fresh batch of chips into the fryer and then salted. It looks like Queen’s Chips will fry the chips for each order versus having a large batch pre-fried waiting for you. I tried to order the cheese chips but they were out of cheese. The price was fair when compared to the other prices for food around Sorrento. I will go again if back in the area.

Chicken was very bad quality and fries were ok but too many small crispy bits rather than proper chips. Overall, ust tastes cheap and processed. I ordered the 'all in' Chicken and cheese box but was charged extra for the cheese sauce!? Just don't bother as it was too expensive for budget food and I could t stomach finishing it.
R B — Google review
The chips were tasty but the chicken was really bad. The burger doesn't come with any sauce so was a very dry bun with a very bad quality deep fried chicken patty - I understand paying extra for your choice of sauces to dunk chips in but a chicken burger needs some mayo at least! Stick to just chips.

Nestled at the edge of Sorrento, Bagni Regina Giovanna is a captivating destination that combines history with natural beauty. A leisurely 35-40 minute walk leads you to the remnants of an ancient Roman villa, where you'll discover a stunning hidden cove. This secluded spot features a natural archway through which crystal-clear waters flow into a tranquil pool, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking solace away from crowded beaches.
A local who lives in the U.S. now recommend this spot to us. It took a bus and a 15 minute walk, but it was our second best day in Sorrento. It was busy, but not packed. A few tourists but a lot of locals. We felt like locals. We bought sandwiches in town, wine, and made a day of it. Highly recommend! Be respectful and take your trash out.
Zach — Google review
Beautiful spot. About a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. The path is manageable, but the final steps down to the water can be a bit tricky—especially if you're wearing flip-flops. Overall, definitely worth a visit for a refreshing swim in a unique setting.
Giorgos A — Google review
Bagni della Regina Giovanna is an interesting spot with beautiful views and a natural swimming pool carved into the rock. The place itself is picturesque and unique. The best way is to take a bus from Sorrento and then walk about 15 minutes to reach the beach. In the high season, it gets very crowded, which makes it hard to fully enjoy. Worth visiting once for the views and history, but not a place I would rush back to.
Kamil O — Google review
Beautiful swimming spot easily accessible by a the 008 bus (€2 per person) from Sorrento center and then a short 10-15 minute walk down from the bus stop. The walk isn’t strenuous or too inclined, and is manageable in flip flops. Be aware that there isn’t much of a beach but you can find a couple flat rocks to relax on. We found it super crowded with people coming down the stairs but not having anywhere to sit at the bottom, creating a lot of congestion. Maybe it’s better to go earlier in the morning when the masses haven’t arrived. Once you’re in, you can swim through the ancient archway through to the ocean side of the swimming hole. You can do some cliff jumping here; it’s probably about 10 meters high. The day we went there was a lot of surge so some trash was washing through into the ‘beach’ side so we preferred drifting on the ocean side a lot more. Near the cliff jumping spot are a couple leveled places to lie down and sun tan or picnic with a great view of the cliffs of Sorrento! Enjoy and remember to buy some water at the shop at the beginning of the path down to the beach, there aren’t any shops, toilets or facilities down there.
Sam B — Google review
The most gorgeous place I have ever been to, we walked an hour to get there quite a rocky walk but every second was worth it. Strongly recommend, can see fish under the water, very salty water, able to swim under the cove. Beautiful.
Nicola P — Google review
A kind of natural swimming pool with a passage connected to the sea. There are not much space can be used as beach/shore. The rocks can be used for your towels or bags. Kayaking and scuba diving daily tours also visit here, so it is not a hidden gam but worth to go and swim. Thera are walking paths to other rocky beaches around the area. An interesting place to visit and swim. There is bus from Sorrento center. If you go by your own car, there is car park at the beginning of the path to the seaside. Car park can be full if you are late.
Sezin H — Google review
You can take a swim or just hike around. I preferred the sunset. Getting there was easy. If you prefer swimming, make sure you bring all of towels, food, and drinks with you. It was crowded, but a great experience. Heading back to Sorrento was annoying as no taxi was available. Either call a taxi or ride the crowded bus.
Mohammad N — Google review
Really cool spot, calm waters inside the cove then great views outside. Wasn't too busy when we went either. Can imagine I gets busy in summer so choose a quiet time to go

Bagni Salvatore is the final beach club in Sorrento's Marina Piccolo, boasting a rich history dating back to 1930. It has been a popular destination for families from Naples and wider Europe due to its stunning coastline. The establishment offers excellent service, delectable food, and breathtaking views that keep visitors coming back.
We visited this private beach and had a wonderful experience. The location is stunning — crystal-clear turquoise water right in front of ancient Roman ruins, which added so much charm and value to the day. Truly beautiful. We made our reservation the night before by sending a message on Instagram, and they replied instantly. The only condition was to arrive before 11:00 am so the reservation would be honored. We got there right on time, around 10:55/11:00, and were given premium spots in a perfect location. The water was calm and beautiful to swim in, and the sunbeds were very comfortable. We brought our own snacks and drinks, which was no problem at all, and we also ordered some drinks on site. The staff was very attentive and friendly throughout the day. The entrance fee is €30 per person. I understand some people may find it expensive to pay for beach access, but in this area (Sorrento/Amalfi Coast), beaches are mostly private and man-made. Considering how expensive the region is in general, I think €30 is absolutely worth it. Coming from Berlin, where a nightclub entrance easily costs €20–30, paying the same for a full day under the sun in such a beautiful setting felt more than fair. We stayed until around 6:30 pm, enjoyed the sun the whole day, and the place never felt overcrowded. Overall, money very well spent and an experience I 100% recommend.
Francisco L — Google review
Would not come here again. The only reason we stayed here is because other places were already booked. That means people know that those other places are better. Anyway, chairs are chairs and umbrellas are all the same everywhere, so you rate based on other criteria. And that's the quality of the beach, and water accessibility, shower facilities and the restaurant. Well, the water entrance is very difficult. There are a lot of slippery rocks right off the stairs as you enter the water and no sandy patches, unlike the neighboring club. We're charged €25 per chair and €10 per umbrella. If you want a flotation device like a donut, it's an additional €5. We did not try the food at the restaurant because the food we saw being served to our neighbors did not look super appetizing. If you can, stay at the neighboring club.
D D — Google review
Stunning location. We spent the day here, travelling down from pompeii, and it was glorious. It is not cheap to hire sunbeds, but it is a real treat and worth it in my opinion. You have a comfortable, safe place to sunbathe. The water is crystal clear and so refreshing after a few hours in the sun.
Melanie A — Google review
It’s okay. I might be bias as I went to a beach club in Saint Agnello the day prior which was above and beyond. This beach club is set on a beautiful beach, however is very rocky. The staff are okay, but not overly nice, we didn’t see anyone walking around ready to provide service as I’ve read in other reviews. It was $100AUD for 2 sun beds and an umbrella. I’m not overly impressed but you can still enjoy your day there.
Lliana K — Google review
Perfect beach club for relaxing in Sorrento. Gorgeous beach with Roman ruins, found the price to be reasonable and food was good. Lots of servers walking around so easy to order drinks or can order at the bar and they will bring it to you.

Lovely place. We’ve been to a couple of beach bars in the amalfi coast and this had the best food and drinks for a reasonable price. Incredible Caesar salad and pizza, also the best Aperol Spritz i’ve had so far on the coast. Beautiful views of the Roman Ruins. We found a perfect spot without reservation, just make sure to go early in the morning. You need your own towels also. Will definitely be back. It cost €60 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella.

We had a wonderful time at Bagni Salvatore! The beach club is located a short walk from the ferry port and relatively easy to find. Compared to other beach clubs we looked at, the prices were very reasonable! The staff was very kind and accommodating. The drinks were good and the food was tasty. The scenery was beautiful and the location offered a bit of privacy as it was the last beach club on the strip. The only thing I wish is that they had played music or I had brought headphones. Overall we had an incredible time!
Tori G — Google review
Lovely cove with plenty of fish and clear waters. Coming from the UK it's quite a shock to have to pay €60for two deck chairs and a shade. When in Rome as they say. However it was a lovely family experience swimming and splashing about for several hours., staff were kind and prices reasonable. Changing rooms, toilets and shower area all clean at the time we used them 1400-1700 on a Thursday and place was very busy. We didn't by any food or drinks from the waiters, but included their menu for other to consider. Recommendated you visit ove the others on the strip. Also close enough, 10min walk, to the port to ensure we caught our ferry back to Naples.

St. Francis Church and Convent, originally a monastery dating back to the 7th century, consists of three main structures: the church, the convent, and the renowned cloister. The convent houses significant wooden works and features distinctive 14th-century architecture that blends styles from ancient pagan temples and settlements. It is a sought-after venue for weddings, especially during summer when ceremonies are frequently held in the picturesque cloister courtyard.

Amazing food, service and views which made it a very memorable meal. We were given quite a few complimentary courses which were all very tasty and beautifully presented. Amazing sunset view. Food was good when we finally got it. We sat at our table for 45 minutes before ever getting a drink or taking our drink order. Three different waiters cane, but they had to get the bar waiter to take our cocktail orders. Then you have to pay for cocktails at bar and not on your food bill. Approached the manager about waiting forever just to take our drink order. He did not seem too concerned. 5 adults and 5 kids under 15. That set the tone for our last night in Sorrento.

They went out of their way to make their guests feel like royalty. What a genuinely wonderful all around experience oh unique touches such as dessert served in a beautiful wooden antique box..Great flare and creativity put into so much. Oh, did I mention the fireworks! Rosie not guaranteed but so fantastic when they’re there. It was a perfect end to our meal. We then went to other side for cocktails and they were delicious and the bartender and staff were hilarious and engaging. It was a blast! The piano played and we all had a wonderful time.

Yes, bring cash, spare your poor credit card a swipe, you won’t die. Best priced, tastiest lunch we’ve had here. Support the locals!

Don't go here, unless you want to be food poisoned. The wine had no labels and served open. Complementary olives in the table were from a can and rotten, yes, rotten. The mussels were dried and mouldy (food poison alert!!). The grilled vegetables were cold and with white stuff all over (more mouldy?), we left the place saying we had an emergency phone call, and paid the €65 bill. The old woman said it was fresher inside, but there was no air-conditioning and not even a fan. It's a pizzeria anntje oven was off. If you don't believe me have a walk around inside, and look at the bill which has not even the name of the place. This place should be shutdown. Sergi (from Barcelona).

Don't expect modern and fancy service. It's an old family Italian restaurant. If you want a real original Italian restaurant where you can try authentic Italian home cooking, I recommend it! The owners are extremely kind and helpful! We got a free digestivo and pastries before the main meal. Experience Italy honestly as it is!

No idea what the bad reviews of this place are about. Extremely well priced food and drinks, both of which were divine. Beautiful private garden for outdoor dining, secluded from the hustle and bustle of the surround alleyways and streets. I had the white wine and clam pasta and it was amazing. Loaded with succulent little clams, amazingly fresh tasting, no overpowering seafood flavour. Superb. The pork dish we ordered was equally interesting, authentic and delicious. Beautiful, cheap local wine. No complaints whatsoever. Have dropped a pin on the location so we can find it again. Highly recommend. Don't listen to the negative reviews.

Authentic, non-touristified, Italian family restaurant. A true hole in the wall and one of our favorite places to eat in Sorrento, both in 2018 and 2025. If you’re expecting a modern atmosphere and service then it may not be for you, but the food (particularly the calzone and bolognese we got) is some of the best we’ve ever had. Will certainly be going back if we’re ever in Sorrento again, might even go back this trip

This place was so great! The atmosphere is so quaint and the little old man who served us was kind and sweet. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh. I am a vegetarian and there were lots of options for me which is hard to find. It is located in a quiet area which is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. We ate at a different place and we cannot say we were impressed at all, and I can say I was not loving Italian food. But when we got our meal here, every bite was enjoyable and my mother and I kept doing happy dances because it was so good. I would honestly stay another day in Italy just to go back and eat there once more. ❤️

Nestled in a charming alley between the bustling piazzas of Tasso and St. Antonino, Ristorante La Basilica is a delightful culinary gem that captures the essence of Italian dining. This inviting eatery boasts an impressive selection of wood-fired pizzas and seafood pasta, all served in a vibrant setting adorned with modern artwork depicting the iconic Vesuvius.
Family of five last minute lunch. Everything ordered across the board was top notch, high quality and absolutely delicious. Friendly and prompt service throughout. Would highly recommend!

I have to share this wonderful experience – I was served a stunning fish dish: delicious, hot, and perfectly cooked. The salad was fresh, crisp, and absolutely tasty. The food was clean and of high quality, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the waiters were friendly and attentive. Definitely a culinary experience I highly recommend!

We found this spot looking for dinner and drinks. It is located in the centre of Sorrento and we were welcomed in by very friendly staff. It is a street restaurant, so don’t expect any views, however if you want a nice pasta or pizza at affordable prices then this is the place to go. Food is served very quickly and tasted delicious. We went for a margarita pizza and carbonara pasta. Both portion sizes are huge (We couldn’t finish the dishes) and served hot and fresh. Would highly recommend a visit.

The best spot to go - cannot recommend enough! We had two pizzas and they were both fantastic, drink options were plentiful and tasty. The service is unparalleled - so professional and efficient. You can sit in the front dining room/patio for a lively experience, or ask to sit in the back dining room for a more intimate dinner. You should eat here!

Seafood restaurant
Bagni Delfino is a charming, family-run restaurant that has been a beloved destination in Sorrento for over 50 years. Situated in the picturesque Marina Grande, this restaurant offers a romantic and evocative atmosphere with its terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The Gargiulo family's impeccable service and excellent traditional local cuisine have made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Bagni Delfino is an absolute gem right in front of Spiaggia di Sorrento. If you truly love seafood, this is your spot. The food is fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor — you can taste the quality in every bite. Service is fast without feeling rushed, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. Order a bottle of wine, let the pace slow down, and take in the stunning view of Mount Vesuvius. If you stay until nightfall, you’ll be rewarded with the sparkling lights of Naples shimmering across the water — an unforgettable sight that makes the whole experience even more magical.

I’ve been here for several weeks and this has by far been my favourite restaurant. I’m a very picky eater so when I dined here, I came back another 5x because it was exactly to my liking! They are so accomodating to ensure the food is cooked exactly to how you like it as well. The oysters are incredible ( placed on the ice to keep it extra fresh) - served with caviar and the pasta is cooked to perfection. The service is so welcoming and knows how to make your experience here unforgettable. The restaurant has a wonderful sunset view as well. Id highly recommend. 10/10

Fantastic experience here for our honeymoon/anniversary. We were seated immediately with a beautiful view for our reservation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Delicious, fresh seafood. They were also fun and friendly, and after we enjoyed our tiramisu, they gifted us with some religious charms to put on a necklace. Would recommend and look forward to coming back!

Absolutely wonderful experience! We were seated for our reservation immediately with a beautiful view of the water and were greeted with a complimentary bruschetta from the staff — a delicious surprise. Every member of the team was friendly, multilingual, and incredibly attentive. They never let our wine glasses get even slightly low, constantly refilling them without us ever needing to ask. The carbonara was fantastic, and the ravioli alla caprese was truly the best ravioli I’ve ever had. Though we skipped dessert since it was lunchtime, the staff surprised us again with complimentary limoncello shots after learning we were celebrating our honeymoon. From the service to the food to the stunning setting, everything about Bagni Delfino made for a perfect meal. Highly recommend

Good selection of food and drinks although I was looking to purchase a bottle of Azul or even a shot and was told they're for their own collection. Food was okay, service was great, kept our drinks topped up and had a huge selection of Italian wines. And the views of the evening was breathtaking, i could imagine the day to be just as good.

We came here all the way from the Sorrento city center because of the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The interior is nice and the views on the sea are magnificent. The staff however is, whilst friendly in direct contact, not attentive and we had the feeling of being ignored a couple of times during the evening. The food menu is not very variable nor original. The food itself was very basic and bland, nothing that justifies it’s price of € 30-40 per plate. I’d recommend going to another restaurant in the surroundings where you can get this food (or even better) for a reasonable price.

Bagni Delfino is just perfect, the view, the food and hospitality are all incredible. Every time we come to Sorrento, we make sure to come as many times as we can. The seafood is delicious and perfectly paired with the magnificent view. The owners are always so hospitable and welcoming, they make you feel at home in the most beautiful setting.

Sedil Dominova, also known as Bar 2000 Ristorante, is a historic structure located behind Sorrento's main square. Built in 1319 with a gothic style, it features a green-and-yellow-tiled cupola and sides adorned with arches, marble balustrades, and frescoes dating back to the 700s.
Despite being located in a highly touristic area, Sedil exceeded expectations in every way. The food quality was among the best we experienced in Sorrento—fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. Service was fast, courteous, and professional, adding to the overall positive experience. Pricing was also very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring restaurants in the same area. The location is lively and central, yet the dining experience felt calm and well-managed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, respectful service, and excellent value in the heart of Sorrento.

We had 2 pasta dishes, one linguine con gamberetti and one pasta alla carbonara. The carbonara was good in taste but, both were a first in Italy, not being al dente. The shrimps in the gamberetti was without taste and had a bad feeling about them. Location-wise it was located in a nice square with a lot of people. The service was nothing remarkable, they were people there to serve but nothing beyond that. With everything else in Sorrento being dreamy this pulled us out of that dream.

Had a lovely experience here. Saturday night, the city is packed, but they were so helpful in finding us a table. The atmosphere was authentic thanks to the Italian musician they have. The service was quick and polite and the pizzas we had were so good. Bonus for being very reasonably priced. Points to jote- menu is split by meat, fish and vege. The specials were all pasta based. There are two restaurants in the small square and this one is opposite Bar 2000, which is also where the toilets are.

Limonoro Fabbrica Liquori Di D'Esposito Ciro is a renowned destination in Sorrento, Italy, where visitors can experience the local tradition of producing and tasting limoncello. The shop offers a variety of this zesty lemon liqueur as well as other lemon-infused products like chocolates, candies, and spreads. Visitors can observe the production process and even watch the owners paint designs on the bottles.
We visited the store today. Amazing hospitality, kindness and great tasting. They also kindly greeted our two dogs, who also got a treat. The quality of the products and their taste are also excellent, so we also bought all the gifts here. Thank you very much to the employees, a really good experience! More stores like this, they really try! Greetings from buyers from Slovenia.

A must visit for anyone in Sorrento! The shop is located in the centre of the city and is an authentic lemon-cello experience. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by staff with a variety of lemon-cello drinks and foods. We tried 4 different lemon-cello and melon-cello products, followed by biscuits, sweets and other treats. It is such a nice experience, with the staff explaining each product before tasting at no cost to you at all. We did end up buying one of the lemon-cello products which are all good prices, however you are not obliged to do this, you can visit just to enjoy the tasting experience. Thank you to the staff for such a friendly and enjoyable experience!

I am under 18, so all alcoholic opinions are from my parents. Candies are very tasty and I enjoy the interesting flavours surrounding them. For the Limoncello, my parents really liked it. We ended up buying some candy and had a nice time trying samples. In my personal opinion, (for you children) I recommend the crunchy pistachios.
Ryan — Google review
I asked ChatGPT for a selection of the most authentic limoncello places in the area, and this was among the 3 options it presented - the other two were either closed early in the evening or was a 15 minute drive away from Sorrento, which easily ruled them out. As a bonus this is located right in the middle of the happening area of Sorrento downtown. Super friendly and polite staff who offer a bunch of different tasting options that will make you crave for all of them. The live production of limoncello behind the glass counter adds authenticity. A huge plus over other retailers - they carry plastic bottles, which make it immensely easier to transport for those who need to take a flight back home. There are no bad options here - pick what piques your fancy.

It looks like it might once have been nice, but the gates are chained - and we came a few times at different times of day. Inside is just derelict, run-down, overgrown and full of rubbish. Shame.

Unfortunately, the park was closed when we visited it. We did get a little glimpse inside, and on the outside we found this statue and a plate giving us some information. Don't know why it was closed.
Vidar S — Google review
The people working in the public sector are very nice...but instead of shrugging their shoulders and throwing up their hands about why the garden is 'closed' and isn't maintained, they need to step up (take responsibility) and approach the management to push to get these things done. The place looks fine and there is no reason it shouldn't be open. Maybe just a quick trim. Keep in mind this is theoretically one of the few 'free' sites in this expensive, crowded town.

My partner & I came to Sorrento for a couple of days to visit Capri, the Amalfi Coast etc, decided to use this car park on the basis of these google reviews. Bad idea. The car park itself is good, but staff are terrible. We were leaving late in the evening after paying near €50 (around 33 hours) in ticket fares & we were having MAJOR issues starting our rental car. It took us around 20 minutes to finally get it to actually turn on - it actually completely broke down 2 days later on the morning we were meant to return back to the UK so there were genuine issues with the car. By the time we'd gotten down to the barriers and put the ticket in, it wasn't letting us through. We tried to explain to the attendants that we had just paid, been there since yesterday afternoon but were having major issues with our car which caused the delay. They rudely claimed they didn't understand at first, later going on to look at us with disgust, whilst shouting at us that the problems we'd had "were not their fault" & "if we like we can stay here all night" & essentially abandoned. Absolutely appalling service & a complete lack of sympathy especially given that this car park supposedly gives discount for longer stays anyway. I'm not sure if all visitors would've been treated in such a way or if it was because we were very clearly "different". Either way, I would strongly NOT recommend. Go to another.

Overall we had a good experience here, out VRBO host recommended this place as “the best” in the area. I had a pizza and it was a little watery/floppy for my liking but it was still delicious. My wife had GF pasta and she did say it wasn’t as good as other places we tired. And we also got gnocchi which was very good. We had a great meal and we were satisfied at the end of the day.

This charming, family-owned restaurant was a PERFECT final meal for our trip to Southern Italy. We were met by a friendly employee who sat us down and asked if we wanted a glass of wine while we waited for our table (we had a reservation). The atmosphere is cute and cozy. We got our table in the alley, which was perfect (Sorrento is full of beautiful alleyways). The pizza was the best I’d had and I’d basically eaten pizza every day for 7 days. My friend and I split a delicious pasta dish so that’s why the portion may look a little small, but it was super delicious and tasted so fresh. The service was great and it was an overall, WONDERFUL experience. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal with a simply charming atmosphere!

I ordered a lemon pasta with shrimp and asked clearly if it was made with lemon juice or cream. They said cream. The pasta had no lemon flavor. It wasn’t even salted. I had to send it back. When it came out again, they had just thrown some salt on top. Not worth the price.

Ristorante Museo Caruso is a sophisticated dining destination located in the heart of Sorrento, Italy. Housed in a 19th-century villa that was once the home of the legendary tenor Enrico Caruso, this restaurant pays homage to his legacy. The elegant dining room adorned with art and vintage photos sets the stage for an exceptional culinary experience.
My husband and I loved this restaurant. The service was exceptional. You are welcomed with a complimentary sparkling wine while you settled in and enjoy the menu. No dirty dish remained on our table and the staff was always keenly watchful and noticed anytime we needed anything. This food was among the best we had in Sorrento. A "museum" restaurant dedicated to Enrico Caruso. The walls are filled to the brim with memorabilia of the great tenor. Their food selections was great and tasty, if you've overate from trying everything during the day they also apparently have a great selection of tasting menus. I call it more a restaurant with a museum gimmick than a museum with a restaurant, it's not a bad thing however. My family visit was a bit more focused on the food so all I could learn about Enrico Caruso were some small tidbits and quotes written in the menu. Beaides they are playing old recordings of the gret tenor and my god all of them are enjoyable to accompany you during a good meal 10va/10 would recommend.

What a treat! From the moment we walked in the door the service was impecable. Our waiter was so friendly and welcoming and explained the menu so well. The food was so delicious and the wine selection was great! Each course was prepared perfectly. The atmosphere was so relaxed and in addition to making our party feel so welcomed, seeing the restaurant team celebrate the Nona’s birthday next to us and making her feel so special, added to the fun the entire dining room was having. They are the definition of true hospitality. Thank you for such a great evening!

Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and even more delicious than we could have imagined. The flavors were refined, perfectly balanced, and worthy of its Michelin recognition. The ambiance added to the charm, elegant, intimate, and full of character. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Sorrento, skip the tourist traps and treat yourself to Caruso Museo. It’s an absolute must-visit and a meal we’ll be talking about for years to come.

Wonderful! We've been coming to Sorrento for years and have never dined here - the restaurant's name somehow gave us the impression of a touristic place. We couldn't have been more wrong! The ambiance is elegant, the service impeccable, the food amazing and the wine list impressive. We'll definitely be back!

A wonderful place for a long lingering dinner! I chose this place based upon other reviews here and I was not disappointed one iota! It’s centrally located and actually rather large inside, yet divided into a few intimate dining areas. We shared ours with a few solo diners, but rest assured we outlasted them! We chose the meat tasting menu and it was delicious from start to finish! The photos tell a much better story that I can type… The wine was also excellent. We chose the first bottle based upon the host’s recommendation and we chose a known entity for the second - both were excellent! But they were just two of many hundreds of bottles on their extensive list.

Restaurant
Fauno Bar is a vibrant and iconic establishment located in the heart of Piazza Tasso, Sorrento. Since 1950, it has been a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking traditional Italian pastries, hearty breakfasts, coffee, cocktails, and Neapolitan pasta and pizza. The outdoor seating area offers a perfect vantage point for people-watching and soaking up the lively atmosphere of Sorrento.
Amazing place to eat! 🍝🍕 The atmosphere is lively and perfectly located in the heart of the square. The food was beyond delicious — everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully served. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gave great recommendations on what to try. It’s the perfect spot for a nice dinner or just to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento! Gnocchi Sorrentina – A local specialty! Soft gnocchi baked in tomato sauce and mozzarella — simple but heavenly. The main square of Sorrento, right in the heart of the city — surrounded by shops, cafés, and beautiful views of the lively streets.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an absolutely delightful dining experience in Sorrento! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and attention — greeted at the waiting area with a refreshing glass of prosecco, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The street view was great. The food was simply outstanding. The lamb was one of the softest I’ve ever had — tender, flavorful, and slipping effortlessly off the bone. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the spaghetti was bursting with authentic Italian flavor. Service was impeccable -quick, attentive without being intrusive — and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. We ended our meal with a complimentary liquori, the perfect sweet finish to an unforgettable evening. Decently priced for the quality and experience, this place truly captures the heart and soul of Sorrento dining. Highly recommend! 🍷✨

Without a doubt, Fauno Bar and Restaurant was a wonderful choice during our short stay in Sorrento. We enjoyed the outside seating, perfect for soaking in the lively atmosphere of the town. We ordered a Margherita pizza, gnocchi, and linguine vongole—each dish was absolutely delicious, full of fresh flavors and perfectly cooked. Although we had been warned that some restaurants might charge extra for certain things, Fauno’s service was nothing but professional and pleasant from start to finish. A truly enjoyable dining experience in the heart of Sorrento.

The place is busy and the location is perfect, right on Piazza Tasso. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special for us. The cannelloni were rubbery and the carbonara, although visually appealing, wasn't too flavourful. All in all a decent meal, not too expensive, but a bit on the touristy side. It had alfredo (which is obviously a no go) and the menu was huge and had everything in German and English too.

Well... as a Canadian who can appreciate the venue where you are at and comparing it to others in the area and not my home country.... this one would be a 5 star in Canada also. First off, beautiful and busy area and fun for crowd watching. What impressed me most is they take care of their locals like royalty.. they see them coming and they greet them and find them a seat and served them like family. I loved this! Shows loyalty and respect. Those guys are gonna be around during slow season. Now for my experience. The service was awesome and fun. They are laughing and smiling while working. You don't see that too often anymore especially in a busy place. They move to serve you and they are on you when they see you need or want something. So happy to see this type of old-school service. The FOOD!! OMG! Everything we had was delicious and plenty of it. It tastes homemade and so good. No one bad food plate. The prices were great too. No issues with pricing.. To top it off... they come bring you the bill with complimentary shots of homemade cherry whiskey type drink. (Shooter) not really sure what it was but it was cold and smoothing. And I don't feel those were hidden in the cost of the food, I truly believe it was a gift of "Thank you " for eating there. Over all, after 2 weeks all over Italy 🇮🇹, my best place to eat. If back to Italy, I will be back here. So delicious..

Enjoyed breakfast there were a few options to chose from. Service was attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is nice for outdoor seating. Just know it is a busy area, right next to a very busy cross walk with some traffic in the nearby intersection. Can be entertaining if you enjoy a busy atmosphere. Our table wasnt near the crowds so it was perfectly acceptable for me.

Absolutely our favorite dining spot in Sorrento! It has a lovely view from the outside, staff is fast and friendly, and most importantly, the food was outstanding! We ordered tomato bruscetta, the sorrentino gnocchi, and pesto pasta with extra shrimp. The bruscetta was fresh, gnocchi was the best we had in our life! So juicy and full of flavor! Pesto Pasta was fresh, zesty, and with an amazing touch! It was fulfilling and worth more than we were charged. The restroom also was very clean.

We stayed in Sorrento for 4 nights recently and had dinner twice here. The atmosphere was perfect for us, situated in the heart of Piazza Tasso where people watching is the main attraction. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We ordered the Insalata Nizzarasa that came eggs, tuna, olives, onions and potatoes as a starter, and then Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, followed by the best pizza we had ever had! Pizza con salsiccia (sausage) e melanzane (eggplant). Plus ordered a bottle of local red wine (Anglianico Janare Rosso) that was very reasonably priced and so delicious! The second time we went we had to wait for a table but the owner/ host gave us each a glass of prosecco on the house and had us wait in the bar area until our table was ready. Also, the bathrooms are the cleanest I have seen in Italy or anywhere else! The prices were very reasonable and an excellent value. I highly recommend Fauno Bar for drinks and food!

The Garden da Gennaro is a charming restaurant located in the historic center of Sorrento, offering traditional Sorrentine and Neapolitan cuisine. The chef, Salvatore Formisano, draws inspiration from Campania's culinary traditions while incorporating fresh catches and market availability into the menu. Diners can enjoy classic dishes like Sorrentine gnocchi and fried fish, as well as more innovative options such as risotto with fish and citrus fruits.
The staff were very nice and had an enjoyable dinner we came twice during our stay. One of us had dietary restrictions but they were willing to accommodate us. The owner (lady) was very nice along with other staff. She was very helpful to recommend wines from all the different types of wine available in the store. Also helped me pick a wine to bring home as well.

Truffle pasta was very good and the pizza was one of the better ones we have had on our trip, they do not allow sharing of pizza kinda an odd rule but whatever. Pizza had a good undercarriage and decent crust. Overall the pizza was a 7.7/10 and pasta was a similar rating.

We discovered Il Giardino di Gennaro through friends we met during a tour. They had eaten there twice during their week in Sorrento and were already planning a third visit. We almost didn’t go because of the low TripAdvisor ratings, but I’m very glad we did. It turned out to be our favorite restaurant in Sorrento and easily the best value for the quality of food and experience. We ended up eating there twice during our one week stay, which is rare for us. When we travel, we try to sample as much of the regional gastronomy as possible and usually avoid repeating restaurants. Il Giardino di Gennaro was the clear exception because it was that good. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially on the upper terrace where herbs lightly scent the air. The staff are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. Gennaro, the owner, was a gracious host who personally helped us select excellent wine pairings that perfectly complemented each meal. During our week in Sorrento we also tried several highly rated places, including a two star Michelin restaurant in the city and another with one star nearby, yet this was the meal we remembered most. The food, service, and price were exceptional. What we ordered (over two nights): • Raw oysters, briny, fresh, and delicious • Beef carpaccio, beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned • Fried calamari, light and crisp • Mare Nostrum seafood salad, fresh, bright, and delicately balanced • Bistecca alla Fiorentina, ordered medium rare and served exactly as we wanted, carved at the table by Gennaro himself • Sea bass baked in a salt crust, tender, fresh, and full of flavor • Homemade millefeuille and lemon delight, both superb and among the best desserts we had in Italy Every detail reflected pride and care, from the ingredients to the presentation to the genuine hospitality. For anyone visiting Sorrento, do not let the TripAdvisor ratings mislead you. Il Giardino di Gennaro is a gem. Go, enjoy, and you will see why it became our favorite restaurant for the price.

Had a lovely family meal whilst on holiday in Sorrento. Great spit and atmosphere in the terraced garden. Food was well cooked and waiting time also good. Reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area. Would recommend and would visit again

The Garden - A Hidden Treasure in Sorrento Centre We found this treasure 20 years ago and, still today we are getting surprised by the quality of the food/wine and the hospitality of the staff. You can enter the restaurant via the wine-bar on the main-street (Corso Italia) or via the stairs in the alley. If you're wondering why you should consider choosing to eat meat while in a region renowned for its fresh fish, let me share my experience at The Garden. This restaurant is celebrated for its high quality dry-aged meat, making it a destination worth visiting. Plus, it offers a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful full-bodied Aglianico wine. For those who still want a taste of the sea, there are plenty of delightful antipasti dishes featuring fish, allowing diners to enjoy the best of both worlds. To start our dinner, we opted for the “crudo” plate, which featured a lovely variety of fresh fish, paired with a tempura-style cod. It was a perfect appetizer that set the tone for the meal ahead. We also asked for the Focaccia with Pomodorino, a mandatory side dish at The Garden that complements any meal beautifully. The highlight of our dinner was the stunning steak Florentine, which Gennaro himself expertly sliced for us. Although it was served with three sauces, I found that all it really needed was a sprinkle of fresh pepper and a few Maldon salt flakes to highlight its incredible flavor. Overall, it was another exceptional food and wine experience at The Garden, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit, hopefully with the introduction of “Novello 2025.” Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the culinary delights of Sorrento!
