Chiostro di San Francesco, a serene 14th-century monastery located near Villa Comunale in Sorrento, holds a rich history dating back to ancient settlements and pagan temples. Once an important religious and administrative center, it now hosts classical music concerts and serves as a wedding venue. The nearby Magi House Relais offers various accommodations and amenities just minutes away from the cloister. Visitors can also enjoy the famous local lemon-based liquor, widely used in culinary creations throughout Campania.
What an unforgettable place to visit in Sorrento, Italy. This is a perfect example of what a cloister looks like in Sorrento. A beautiful covered walkway and a gorgeous church with one nave and six chapels. There are many weddings here and the location is amazing.

A gorgeous sanctuary and beautiful place to get married. Hannah & Jordan has an intimate ceremony hidden from the bustling streets before jumping on a boat at the harbour below and speeding off to Positano, I'll never forget how much fun it was to capture!

This was a beautiful and peaceful place to visit in sorrento. I highly recommend it if you like visiting churches and monasteries.

Went in Mid August. Such a peaceful place beautifully preserved, with its mix of medieval, Gothic, and Arabic arches. Entrance is free too.
Lee S — Google review
Nice and calm place next to Villa Comunale, the spot with the best view on Vesuvio.
Gunnar E — Google review
In love. If you go further down to the left of the main doors to the church you can escape the hustle of Sorrento beachgoers. It's currently undergoing refurbishments upstairs so I wasn't able to see the swing or view, but it was still so worth it. So peaceful and absolutely lovely.

Wow! What an amazing find! The grounds are very nice. The art exhibit on the second floor was amazing! A local photographer's (Raffaele Celentano) b&w photos are incredible, especially the Mother Theresa section. The views from the building are the best in the entire city! Also, the price of admission to the art exhibit was only 5€!
William C — Google review
A beautiful place, not obviously sign posted to look for the entrance to the area. We also visited a beautiful photo gallery at the top of the terrace with breathtaking views of Sorrento. There was an admission charge of €5 to the gallery but it was well worth it for the experience of the wonderful photos and the views.

Villa Comunale di Sorrento is a charming park that resembles a town square and is a popular attraction due to its exotic plantings, seasonal flowers, and large shady trees. The park offers panoramic views of the Bay of Naples, with tourists flocking to capture the endless coastal scenery. Visitors can enjoy sights such as Marina San Francesco, Marina Piccola, Marina Grande, and Mount Vesuvius from the park's railings.
Amazing view of the sea and beaches! We really loved it. You can take a beautiful photo and then walk down to the sea and the beaches. On the way down, you get to enjoy the views of the charming houses in the hills and all the stunning scenery around you. I’ve also added a photo of the sunbed and umbrella prices — not cheap, but pretty much the same as everywhere along the Sorrento coast.
Aliona K — Google review
Villa Comunale in Sorrento is a truly fantastic spot that offers some of the best views in the city. It's a great place to just relax and unwind, especially in the evening. We spent some time there watching the sunset, and it was a genuinely calm and soothing experience. The panoramic views of the entire Sorrento coast from the park are simply breathtaking. The way the light hits the water and the cliffs is beautiful, and it makes for a perfect place to just sit on a bench and take it all in. It's a simple pleasure, but a great way to end a day of sightseeing and escape the crowds for a bit.
Pavan N — Google review
Beautiful view of the sea. You can enjoy a coffee or some drinks at the local coffee shop. I ordered limoncelo spritz which was delicious and got some side snacks included, that were a treat!

A beautiful park with breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Peaceful and relaxing, with lovely gardens and benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. A perfect spot for a quiet break in Sorrento.

Beautiful spot with amazing views over the sea and Marina Piccola. well-kept area, perfect to take photos. You can also take the lift down to the beach. Definitely worth a visit while in Sorrento!

A fantastic public park offering commanding, panoramic views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It's a peaceful spot for a relaxing break. Crucially, the park features a dedicated elevator down to Marina Piccola (the port) and the beachfront, making cliff access quick and easy

L'Antica Trattoria is a charming restaurant located in the historic heart of Sorrento, offering cozy rooms adorned with vintage decor and a delightful flower-filled terrace. The restaurant provides an intimate and refined dining experience, with captivating and imaginative names for its small rooms. It's a peaceful oasis where guests can savor traditional homemade recipes in an atmosphere of warm and serene intimacy.
We had an amazing dining experience at L'Antica Trattoria! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and while it’s a bit more expensive, it’s absolutely worth every euro. The food was outstanding: fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Our waiter, Luigi, made the evening unforgettable. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. His recommendations were spot-on, especially the calamari, it was the best we’ve ever had. From start to finish, the little touches made the meal special: complimentary bites to kick things off, incredible olive oil, a lemon pasta that blew me away, my wife had a special concoction of clams, mussels, and tomatoes, and a perfect pastry at the end that truly deserves a chef’s kiss. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Sorrento: delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond.
Travis C — Google review
First of all you need to make reservations in advance. We were welcomed with a glass of prosseco and some amuse buche. You should also try their bread with olive oil and salt. We ordered calamari and red prawns for appetizers. They were both good but red prawns were impressive. For main we had cacio e pepe & see bass. Excelent. And for desert we had chef fantasy pastiera&tiramisu. But we also get a profiterol for free. The ambiance was great. The wine was spectacular. Our host Antonino made us feel very good and welcomed and did not rush us. Make sure not to eat when you come here because you will be full.

Must place to eat! My BF and I, both cooks, had an amazing lunch and dinner in L’Antica Trattoria this summer and we can assure you is the best place to eat in Sorrento. All food was amazing and the service truly makes you feel like a family. We had a creamy lemon pasta with prawns, a beautiful pasta a la nerano, a very well cook lobster with coconut cream, for dessert: Tiramisu and Ricotta and Pear, tasty, unforgettable dinner, thank you nonno Aldo and team!
Angela A — Google review
‏Excellent restaurant! We ordered very tasty pasta dishes, don't miss the lemon pasta (also available without shrimp). The staff is very friendly and helpful. We made a reservation through the hotel reception.

One of the best places we came across here in Sorrento. I had the first lemon sauce spaghetti, and I love it. The waitress was very lovely, gentle and educated. We sat in the middle of the afternoon and he gave his best.
Vanessa S — Google review
My husband and I loved dining here for dinner! The best food I had all week! You must go…and SO MUCH food! Our waiter Antoninio was phenomenal! We will miss this place, and I will be dreaming of the Tagliolini Antica Trattoria until I return.🤍🍋

We had an amazing dining experience in Sorrento! The atmosphere was cozy with beautiful seaside views, and the food was absolutely delicious – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. What made our visit truly special was the exceptional service from our waiter, Masha. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Masha’s recommendations were perfect, and her warm personality added a personal touch to our evening. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Sorrento – great food, great views, and outstanding service!

- amazing food!! - stunning atmosphere! so beautiful and serene. - they gave us complimentary prosecco and appetizer - recommend making reservations ahead of time - also, they only serve a light set lunch menu if you go close to the closing of their morning shift, which is 50 euros - zucchini flower was light and fluffy, perfectly fried and seasoned - lemon pasta was interesting, but delicious. I never had a lemon based pasta sauce before. but I was pleasantly surprised how tasty and refreshing it is. - dessert was yummy. I was surprised that it came with a wide range of fruits. - service was good. they checked on is multiple times to ensure everything is fine. the reason why I gave a 4 out of 5 is because as they gave us the bill, the waiter kept haggling us for a tip when it was clearly written in the menu that service charge is already included - good, sizable portions

Nestled at the edge of Sorrento, Bagni Regina Giovanna is a captivating destination that combines history with natural beauty. A leisurely 35-40 minute walk leads you to the remnants of an ancient Roman villa, where you'll discover a stunning hidden cove. This secluded spot features a natural archway through which crystal-clear waters flow into a tranquil pool, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking solace away from crowded beaches.
A local who lives in the U.S. now recommend this spot to us. It took a bus and a 15 minute walk, but it was our second best day in Sorrento. It was busy, but not packed. A few tourists but a lot of locals. We felt like locals. We bought sandwiches in town, wine, and made a day of it. Highly recommend! Be respectful and take your trash out.
Zach — Google review
Beautiful spot. About a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. The path is manageable, but the final steps down to the water can be a bit tricky—especially if you're wearing flip-flops. Overall, definitely worth a visit for a refreshing swim in a unique setting.
Giorgos A — Google review
Bagni della Regina Giovanna is an interesting spot with beautiful views and a natural swimming pool carved into the rock. The place itself is picturesque and unique. The best way is to take a bus from Sorrento and then walk about 15 minutes to reach the beach. In the high season, it gets very crowded, which makes it hard to fully enjoy. Worth visiting once for the views and history, but not a place I would rush back to.
Kamil O — Google review
We loved this little escape from Sorrento! Packed some snacks and spent a good few hours here. A fairly easy walk 40min-ish from town with lots of beautiful scenery and views along the way, you do need to walk along the road for parts though which was a little sketchy at times but added to the adventure. There's some rocks to scramble over at both swimming places and no real beach to put your stuff so pack light.
Annette A — Google review
Beautiful swimming spot easily accessible by a the 008 bus (€2 per person) from Sorrento center and then a short 10-15 minute walk down from the bus stop. The walk isn’t strenuous or too inclined, and is manageable in flip flops. Be aware that there isn’t much of a beach but you can find a couple flat rocks to relax on. We found it super crowded with people coming down the stairs but not having anywhere to sit at the bottom, creating a lot of congestion. Maybe it’s better to go earlier in the morning when the masses haven’t arrived. Once you’re in, you can swim through the ancient archway through to the ocean side of the swimming hole. You can do some cliff jumping here; it’s probably about 10 meters high. The day we went there was a lot of surge so some trash was washing through into the ‘beach’ side so we preferred drifting on the ocean side a lot more. Near the cliff jumping spot are a couple leveled places to lie down and sun tan or picnic with a great view of the cliffs of Sorrento! Enjoy and remember to buy some water at the shop at the beginning of the path down to the beach, there aren’t any shops, toilets or facilities down there.
Sam B — Google review
The most gorgeous place I have ever been to, we walked an hour to get there quite a rocky walk but every second was worth it. Strongly recommend, can see fish under the water, very salty water, able to swim under the cove. Beautiful.
Nicola P — Google review
A kind of natural swimming pool with a passage connected to the sea. There are not much space can be used as beach/shore. The rocks can be used for your towels or bags. Kayaking and scuba diving daily tours also visit here, so it is not a hidden gam but worth to go and swim. Thera are walking paths to other rocky beaches around the area. An interesting place to visit and swim. There is bus from Sorrento center. If you go by your own car, there is car park at the beginning of the path to the seaside. Car park can be full if you are late.
Sezin H — Google review
Wow! What a great place to go for a swim. The walk down is a bit rocky, so bring some good shoes or sturdy sandals (not flip flops). The natural pool with its clear dark turquoise water is stunning. There are alot of rocks around and in the water, so may I suggest swimming shoes if you have. The place can become a little crowded and there is no beach, so you’ll need to leave your personal belongings on the rocks. An opening in the rocks connects the pool to the sea, though the water there can be a bit rough for swimming. A must see!

Ristorante Bagni Sant'Anna is a charming restaurant located on the seafront in Marina Grande, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Naples. The establishment includes a bar, restaurant, and solarium where guests can enjoy aperitifs, dinner, and even access to the beach club. The menu focuses on fish-based specialties prepared with carefully selected local ingredients. In the evening, the magical sea views are enhanced by enchanting lights and a lively atmosphere.
I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna during a recent trip to Sorrento, and the experience was nothing short of magical. Set directly on the water’s edge, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the sea – and as the sun began to set, we found ourselves dining against the most spectacular golden backdrop. It was one of those moments where the setting alone already felt special. The food was equally impressive. We began with a beautifully grilled fish – light, clean in flavour, and not in the least bit dry. The squid was another highlight: perfectly tender and full of smoky, chargrilled character. The seafood pasta was truly memorable, with wonderfully chewy noodles and a rich, savoury sauce that brought everything together. For dessert, we enjoyed a selection of canelé, tiramisu, and lemon cake – all delicious in their own right and a perfect way to end the meal. Each sweet offered a different texture and flavour, yet all were executed with finesse. What truly made the evening unforgettable, however, was the arrival of an elderly gentleman with a guitar just as the sun touched the horizon. He began to play O Sole Mio and other classics, and suddenly the entire atmosphere shifted – as if we had been transported into a romantic film. It was spontaneous, heartfelt, and incredibly moving. The only regret I have is not being able to leave a tip for the musician, as I didn’t have any cash on me – something I truly felt sorry for. In every way, this was a flawless dining experience – from the food to the view to the atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna to anyone visiting Sorrento. It’s the kind of place that lingers in your memory long after the sun has set.

The restaurant is literally located on the water on a floating dock. It is a no frills restaurant that does seafood right. My guess is everything we ate was swimming in the sea earlier in the day. We had fried calamari as an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked. Served with fries, which was a bit odd, but no biggie. We had cheese ravioli for Primi. Again, perfectly cooked with a nice light tomato ragu. For secondi we went with a special they offered us. It was a whole sea bass with broccoli and small potatoes. Light butter lemon dressing. Perfectly cooked and served tableside by the waiter who plucked it clean onto our plates with the traditional for and spoon technique. Complementary Limoncello at the end of the meal. Two rounds. Service was impeccable. So why not five stars? It was the bill. We were surprised by the price of the fish. It doesn't matter what it was. I would just ask the server if you are offered a special what is the cost. We have had great meals in Sorrento for about 25% less. This was not fine dining. We were careless and got burned. Note: The map picture. Red pin for restaurant and blue dot for our table. It was still a wonderful night, and yes, we would absolutely go back.

Staff were really friendly and we had a day of hiring the sun lounger for our last day in Sorrento before heading home. Had a bit of food and a few drinks. Food was pretty nice. Overall great vibes and atmosphere and a great place to chill out.

Bagni SantAnna is hands down one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. It has everything you could want in a beach day. One side has a great restaurant, and the other is full of super comfortable loungers with umbrellas where you can lay out and totally relax. The best part? They bring food and drinks right to you while you’re lounging, no need to move a muscle. The service is amazing, and everyone who works there is so friendly and hardworking. Alessandro, especially, is the sweetest. He made such an effort to get to know all of us and made every day feel special. I’m seriously going to miss him. The music is always great, the vibe is super laid-back, and the whole place just feels good. If I could go to Bagni SantAnna every day, I would. Already counting down the days until I can come back. ❤️Olivia

At first you’ll be approached by the owner Francos flamboyant energy which will have you questioning whether this restaurant is more show than tell. He welcomes you with lots of energy to a view from the pier that is incredible…. but from my experience, that combination is usually the perfect recipe for an overpriced restaurant that looks good but doesn’t satisfy the taste pallet. I will admit that my assumption was invalid. For once a restaurant has good looks and an incredible personality… This must be what love is. Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna has the best pasta i have ever tried. I’ve tried a lot of pasta…. Ravioli and sea bass were incredible, appetizers did not disappoint but the Tagliolini Di Pasta Porcini (mushroom truffle pasta) BLEW ME AWAY. If you’re in Serrento, you have to try this place or you’ll be missing out on an incredible experience and an incredible meal!
Jay J — Google review
It was an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly. Food was exceptional and the atmosphere was what makes it even better.
EDDIE — Google review
Location was amazing...right on the water. That was probably the only thing nice about the place. Food portions were small and taste was bland. My husband and I had the specials that were offered but they didn't disclose the price ahead of time and we were shocked when we got the bill. Very expensive. They also charged for an additional bread basket that we requested. You can't beat the sunset though, and that's what you are paying for. I'd go to a thousand other restaurant choices in Sorrento before trying this place. The hype on Instagram is not worth the lack of quality food and portion sizes.
Tammy R — Google review
We LOVED this restaurant. I ordered one of the specials which was a yellow tomato spaghetti with lobster. The lobster helping was incredibly generous and it was fresh out of the sea. For dessert we had the lemon mousse and limoncello. To die for! Best meal we’ve had in our week and a day in Italy. To top it off, the owner/manager (I’m not sure which role he had) was incredibly kind. Shook our hands upon arrival and he also kindly greeted us as we were leaving. The view is breathtaking too!

Coku is a gastro-pub with an Asian slant that serves delicious food and drinks. The terrace has an unbeatable view of the Sorrento waterfront, making it a must-visit spot.
We visited here just after sunset and this place is beautiful when lit up. Our waiter was so engaging and recommended us some dishes, my wife had the honey cooked chicken and I had the vegetable tempura. Both were delicious. We stayed for desserts before moving to the bar area for cocktails which were also tasty in a peaceful sea side setting. We’d recommended if you’re staying on this side of Sorrento!

We spent a few nights from our holiday at Cuko for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere and service was 10/10. If you’re in the Sorrento area I’d highly recommend trying here. The views for sunset are great. We were looked after by Gennaro and Davide, two gentlemen who made our experience fantastic. We will definitely be back!

I don’t even know where to begin…the entire experience was incredible from start to finish! The views, the food, the service, everything was perfect. Our server, Massimo, paired local craft beers with our dinner to perfection. Can’t say enough good things about his knowledge of local cuisine and his ability to curate our dinner. Ask for him and you will not be disappointed!

Truly an incredible place. Not only in the view magnificent, the staff was welcoming, friendly and personable. They added to our experience! My family sat down by the bottom most bar where Gennaro was the bartender and Davide was our waiter. It was one of our favorite part of the trip! I highly recommend!

The food was delicious, the drinks were some of the best we’ve had, and the service couldn’t have been better. Davide looked after us every night and was absolutely brilliant – so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. At the bar, Gennaro mixed up the most incredible cocktails, each one spot on. This place really made our holiday special. Couldn’t recommend it more – five stars all the way!

The warm and welcoming atmosphere at Corner Shop Sorrento is another big plus. The staff are friendly and attentive, taking the time to chat and answer questions you might have. Unlike some touristy shops, they're genuinely helpful, making you feel right at home. I highly recommend checking it out on your trip to Sorrento!

We stayed in Sorrento for a few days back in March. We found this cool spot just walking around. The staff were very welcoming and helpful as we were unfamiliar with the different Italian wines. We ended up coming back and ordering a case to ship home which arrived safely. If you’re in Sorrento definitely stop through here.

Super cute wine shop, with an amazing owner. He was very helpful and very patient. The wine and liquor selection is amazing so be prepared to spend a lot of time in the shop if you enjoy wine like i do! Deffinetly a must visit when in Sorrento!

We had the best experience in this store tonight by Carmine and Giovanni. I hope the names are correct as I pulled them from a review. Carmine's knowledge of the local Gins and Limoncello was brilliant and extremely helpful. It was great to experience great customer service and deal with a business that prioritises service and high quality products. We look forward to enjoying the gins and Limoncello when we get back to Australia.

Our first day in Sorrento after traveling and so happy to find this shop filled with all types of wine, whiskey and cordials … and snacks to compliment. So tired traveling that we stopped here and loaded up on goodies to chill on our hotel deck and enjoy the views with drinks and snacks. Got some truffle olive oil for presents too. The gentleman even opened and re-corked the wine bottle to go.

Our family stayed in Sorrento in June 2023 for several days and wanted to bring some wine back to the US. We visited the day before we left for a bottle of wine and inquired if they shipped to the US, to which the older gentleman confirmed. So my mom and I came back the next day and the same older gentleman helped us with our order. We were unsure what to order, but based on our price range, he provided great recommendations to us! We bought 9 bottles including some Oils and were shipped promptly in two separate packages when we returned home! If you're looking for wine to ship to the US, this is a great store to do so!

Bagni Delfino is a charming, family-run restaurant that has been a beloved destination in Sorrento for over 50 years. Situated in the picturesque Marina Grande, this restaurant offers a romantic and evocative atmosphere with its terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The Gargiulo family's impeccable service and excellent traditional local cuisine have made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Bagni Delfino is an absolute gem right in front of Spiaggia di Sorrento. If you truly love seafood, this is your spot. The food is fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor — you can taste the quality in every bite. Service is fast without feeling rushed, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. Order a bottle of wine, let the pace slow down, and take in the stunning view of Mount Vesuvius. If you stay until nightfall, you’ll be rewarded with the sparkling lights of Naples shimmering across the water — an unforgettable sight that makes the whole experience even more magical.

I’ve been here for several weeks and this has by far been my favourite restaurant. I’m a very picky eater so when I dined here, I came back another 5x because it was exactly to my liking! They are so accomodating to ensure the food is cooked exactly to how you like it as well. The oysters are incredible ( placed on the ice to keep it extra fresh) - served with caviar and the pasta is cooked to perfection. The service is so welcoming and knows how to make your experience here unforgettable. The restaurant has a wonderful sunset view as well. Id highly recommend. 10/10

Fantastic experience here for our honeymoon/anniversary. We were seated immediately with a beautiful view for our reservation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Delicious, fresh seafood. They were also fun and friendly, and after we enjoyed our tiramisu, they gifted us with some religious charms to put on a necklace. Would recommend and look forward to coming back!

Absolutely wonderful experience! We were seated for our reservation immediately with a beautiful view of the water and were greeted with a complimentary bruschetta from the staff — a delicious surprise. Every member of the team was friendly, multilingual, and incredibly attentive. They never let our wine glasses get even slightly low, constantly refilling them without us ever needing to ask. The carbonara was fantastic, and the ravioli alla caprese was truly the best ravioli I’ve ever had. Though we skipped dessert since it was lunchtime, the staff surprised us again with complimentary limoncello shots after learning we were celebrating our honeymoon. From the service to the food to the stunning setting, everything about Bagni Delfino made for a perfect meal. Highly recommend

Good selection of food and drinks although I was looking to purchase a bottle of Azul or even a shot and was told they're for their own collection. Food was okay, service was great, kept our drinks topped up and had a huge selection of Italian wines. And the views of the evening was breathtaking, i could imagine the day to be just as good.

We came here all the way from the Sorrento city center because of the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The interior is nice and the views on the sea are magnificent. The staff however is, whilst friendly in direct contact, not attentive and we had the feeling of being ignored a couple of times during the evening. The food menu is not very variable nor original. The food itself was very basic and bland, nothing that justifies it’s price of € 30-40 per plate. I’d recommend going to another restaurant in the surroundings where you can get this food (or even better) for a reasonable price.

Bagni Delfino is just perfect, the view, the food and hospitality are all incredible. Every time we come to Sorrento, we make sure to come as many times as we can. This safe and well-maintained facility offers ample space, making it easy to find a spot even during busy times.
Close to the bus stop on the way to Sorrento town center, right across from the Vallone dei Mulini. Well lighted, clean and even floors. Best of all it has a fully automated self cleaning toilet @.50 on the ground floor

Researched beforehand and decided on this parking garage. It’s outside of ZTL and it’s a 10 minute walk to the ferry. Very clean, secure and large enough spots. We arrived at 8 AM and were able to park on the ground floor. There is a toilet for €0,50. We paid €25 for about 12 hours as we spent the day on Capri.

Best parking in the Town center, in the historical center of Sorrento. I parked my car there to go to Capri and it was the closest spot to park when you go to the port of Sorrento.

we visit begin October, at 9:00 am parked on ground floor. no need to drive the ZTL zone. open 24h. -500m to the port (to Capri) by walk via the stars. payed with credit card on the machine( see pics for rates)

3€/h is fair as this is as close at the old town as you can get by car. The parking spots are even big enough for larger cars.

Indoor parking lot nearby Piazza Tasso .. Very centeral of Sorrento .. The place is not really spacious if your car a little big but it is fully automated paying .. All parking rate in Sorrento is €2 per hour but this parking lot charge a little 50 cent more per hour.

My partner & I came to Sorrento for a couple of days to visit Capri, the Amalfi Coast etc, decided to use this car park on the basis of these google reviews. Bad idea. The car park itself is good, but staff are terrible. We were leaving late in the evening after paying near €50 (around 33 hours) in ticket fares & we were having MAJOR issues starting our rental car. It took us around 20 minutes to finally get it to actually turn on - it actually completely broke down 2 days later on the morning we were meant to return back to the UK so there were genuine issues with the car. By the time we'd gotten down to the barriers and put the ticket in, it wasn't letting us through. We tried to explain to the attendants that we had just paid, been there since yesterday afternoon but were having major issues with our car which caused the delay. They rudely claimed they didn't understand at first, later going on to look at us with disgust, whilst shouting at us that the problems we'd had "were not their fault" & "if we like we can stay here all night" & essentially abandoned. Absolutely appalling service & a complete lack of sympathy especially given that this car park supposedly gives discount for longer stays anyway. I'm not sure if all visitors would've been treated in such a way or if it was because we were very clearly "different". Either way, I would strongly NOT recommend. Go to another.

The cocktails at La Colonna Sunset Bar in Sorrento are superb, with Antonio the barman being renowned for his skill in mixology. The Ameretto Sour comes highly recommended. The bar offers an incredible view for watching the sunset, creating a lovely experience. While the drinks can be pricey, they are of high quality and come with complimentary snacks, which adds to the overall enjoyment. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to the brilliant atmosphere and team dynamic.
Great drinks with an amazing view, maybe the best around. Staff were attentive and fast to serve us. Drinks €15 minimum, cocktails, wines etc. Can’t argue the price with that view and the cocktails were great. Snacks included; crisps, nuts and biscuits. We were also severed a salmon and cheese finisher for free.

A terrace with a beautiful view. Very nice staff. We had a relaxing lunch here. The prawns and the burrata were delicious.

Stunning location – we stopped by just for drinks and the setting alone is worth a visit. However, the experience was let down slightly by the service. The waiter/bartender attempted to swap out our gin without informing us, and only corrected it after we flagged the issue. It turned out they’d run out of Hendrick’s and had to retrieve another bottle from the hotel. While the drink was eventually replaced, it was done without any apology or acknowledgment of the mix-up, which was disappointing.

Puolo Beach is a serene and charming sandy beach situated on the western side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, offering stunning views of lush green hills and crystal-clear waters. It's an ideal spot for a romantic day out or even a marriage proposal. The beach provides a tranquil setting for couples to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the coastal path as the sun sets. The water is clean and safe for children, making it perfect for families as well.
This restaurant served the best fried mixed fish I've ever had (and I've had lots). The variety of the fish was excellent, I counted at least 7 x types, including prawns, octopus and snapper. The portion almost beat me... you'll not leave the table hungry! The staff are friendly and helpful, even blagging me a 1€ ride back up the hill on the 3 x wheeled chug chug - it is steep and long. The bus ride from Sorrento to the beach costs 1.80€ and takes about 20 minutes. This is a FREE beach, whereas the 'platforms' closer to Sorrento can cost up to 50€ to use.

Lovely beach, we went just to the right and sat near the rocky cove, water gets deep enough to swim easily. 2 sunbeds and umbrella 30 euros. Top tip would be arrive early, we got there around 11:30 and still plenty of sunbeds so before then would probably get to the front by the sea. We managed to get a TukTuk back up the hill, which was a lifesaver in the heat. That was at 3pm, may be difficult to get if gets busy later.

Perfect beach day at this local spot - well worth the drive from Sorrento! Parking was 10€ but the beach was sandier than most rocky ones around here & water was perfect

Very local beach with many restaurant options by the seaside. It looks like a former fisherman settlemet. There are many car park options while going down to the beach. It is worth to stay there till the sunset. The beach gets more chill.

This is a lovely little sea side village only a few miles from Sorrento nice small beach bits of litter But nice safe place for a swim some nice restaurants on the water front. The road down is very narrow and has a few hair pin bends and parking is not permitted in the village its locals only so park in the olive Grove on the right going down its a lot cheaper than the other car park 100 metres down the road ither way its a steep walk up and down for the last few hundred meters.

La Marinella is a popular choice among locals and tourists in Sorrento, offering an upscale beach club experience reminiscent of those in Capri or Positano. The highlight of the establishment is its renowned restaurant, which serves delectable seafood dishes for lunch and dinner. While the prices may be on the higher side, patrons are treated to a culinary delight featuring succulent scallops, tender octopus, and flavorful monkfish. The attentive and amiable service adds to the overall dining experience.
Simply wonderful. We were turned away from Coku hoping for a birthday meal for my wife (hadn't realised needed to book) and instead walked down the steps/tunnel to La Marinella and were one of just 5 tables served for the evening with delicious seafood, beautifully presented, tasty menu 'amuse-bouche' between courses, and with delightful service. And to top it all am exquisite sunset. Really recommend this spot. Definitely worth the walk down and back up!

It was going to storm and the owner didn’t want to let us in at first because of safety concerns but the very nice lady (maybe manager) let us in anyway. We were sat upstairs at a very nice big table and had a nice view at the thunder storm. The side was closed after a while since it became very windy and opened again after the storm passed. The waiters greeted us very nicely and we were offered a welcome drink! They were so nice and made us feel like royals, you weren’t even allowed to pour your own drink which I thought was very fancy. The bathroom was also very fancy. The prices were really really good for the service and location. The waiters explained every food detail and we also got appetizers and dessert! on the house (see the pictures). The cocktails were incredible and I really liked the small details on the table. The food & dessert was also really good and we were both very satisfied. But because the storm hadn’t completely stopped we decided to take another drink and cheese mix. The cheeses were also very nicely plated but unfortunately our phones died so we don’t have any pictures, but they gave us both the chance to charge them! They were so polite and let us have the chance to ask questions without forcing us to take anything or choose anything. Really a 10/10 experience. We didn’t have to spend much but we wanted to! I think it was the best experience and customer service we have ever had! Thank you :)

La Marinella is a culinary haven that indulges seafood enthusiasts with its exquisite offerings. Though slightly on the pricey side, the experience is undeniably worth every penny. The menu features an array of treasures from the sea, including succulent scallops, tender octopus, and delectable monkfish. The scallops, perfectly seared to golden perfection, melted in my mouth with a delicate sweetness. The octopus, expertly prepared, boasted a delightful tenderness and a hint of smoky flavour. As for the monkfish, its firm and meaty texture, complemented by a harmonious blend of herbs and spices, left me craving for more. La Marinella's commitment to quality is evident in every bite. Each dish is a testament to the chef's skill and passion for seafood. Though it may be a splurge, the experience of savouring these exceptional flavours is truly a treat for the senses. If you're willing to indulge in a seafood extravaganza and don't mind paying a bit extra, La Marinella is a treasure trove waiting to be explored. Immerse yourself in the culinary delights of the sea, and let your taste buds revel in the exquisite flavours that this remarkable restaurant has to offer.

Giuseppe's friendly and knowledgeable nature adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the trip as he shares insights about the places visited. From beautiful spots like Positano, Amalfi Coast, and Ravello to hidden non-touristy restaurants with amazing views, Giuseppe ensures that every moment is memorable.
My husband and I just returned home from a great trip to Sorrento and Rome. Giuseppe was our amazing driver/tour guide while we were in Sorrento. He did our pick up and drop off from the Naples train station and also took us on a magical tour of the Amalfi Coast. Giuseppe was knowledgeable, prompt and happily accommodated my picture requests………..and extra restroom breaks (he knew all the best stops). We are truly so thankful and would recommend him to anyone.

We had an amazing 8hr tour with Giuseppe last September. We wouldn’t be able to see places with did without this tour and having a 4 year old with us, it was so comfortable and enough time in each city to explore and avoid crowds everywhere. Giuseppe is very kind, friendly and really helpful, he took us to all instagramable places and made our Almafi Coast visit a truely worthwhile. Would definitely 100% book him again next time in Almafi. Book this tour and you won’t regret it.

My parents really wanted to see the Amalfi Coast during our trip to Sorrento, and at first I had looked at group tours but then ultimately landed on a private Amalfi Coast tour with Giuseppe De Toro. We are so glad we had the day with Giuseppe! He is funny, knowledgeable, full of energy, and a fantastic guide to the area. I also greatly appreciated his flexibility with our schedule, allowing us to end the day with more than two hours spent in Positano (a reverse of the typical schedule). Grazie Millie to Giuseppe for the great day! Highly recommend him to anyone visiting the area!

Giuseppe is amazing! As a native of the area, he was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly where to stop. He picked us up from our hotel in Sorrento and took us all the way to Revallo and back. In Pontone, he took us to a lovely family run restaurant with several local choices from seafood and pasta to pizza. The views from this restaurant were amazing! I would highly recommend Giuseppe for your Amalfi Coast tour. Note: We also used Giuseppe for our transfer from the Napoli train station to our hotel with a stop in Pompei. He secured a tour guide/Archaeologist to take us through the site. It was such a memorable experience. Thank you Giuseppe!

We had the best time today with Giuseppe. This is our first time on a tour and we had very specific places we wanted to visit. Giuseppe was on time, his car was clean, he was a brave driver in the crazy traffic to Atrani & Ravello. He was very informative and stopped many times to take our pictures and even took one with my husband. Total professional! I highly recommend booking with Giuseppe if you're in the area. He is super easy to communicate with and responded really fast. Fair price for the service he provided.

My family and I were with Giuseppe De Toro through our time in Sorento, Amalfi Coast, Ravello, and Positano for my graduation trip to Europe and he was THE BEST! He first took us to an outstanding lunch below Vesuvius, he always had the best food and drink recommendations. He then dropped us right in front of the gates where we started walking up the volcano. Amongst all the chaos from other tour buses in the area, Giuseppe was the best driver and got us to every destination safely without hesitation. He also found us an amazing tour guide for Pompeii which was another amazing part of our trip. He then brought us around the Amalfi Coast where the sights were not only amazing, but his knowledge not only of Amalfi, but every town we visited made our trip more enlightening and enjoyable. When in Ravello and Positano he again made some amazing recommendations for places to visit while in town. A couple of highlights from our whole trip were the homemade mozzarella farm and my personal favorite, the olive oil tasting. We even got lunch at an amazing local restaurant with a great view of Ravello from the balcony. There are so many amazing sights that Giuseppe introduced us to. Of course the list goes on, but I won’t spoil everything for you. Overall, he absolutely MADE our trip. This was my first time in Europe and having him by our side made our trip so special and completely stress free. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Giuseppe as your tour guide. If you want an amazing travel guide, he’s your man!!

In Massa Lubrense, there's a renowned restaurant called Antico Francischiello that has been serving classic dishes of the Sorrento Peninsula since 1909. Over the years, it has evolved its menu seasonally and now offers inspired creations by chef Antonio Attardi, who represents the fourth generation of the family running the kitchen. The restaurant is recognized as a historical place in Italy and is part of the prestigious list curated by Locali Storici D'Italia.

We simply can’t recommend this experience enough! We opted for the vineyard experience and it did not disappoint. We had a large group, including some small children, and the hosts/owner treated us just like family. It was such a lovely time exploring the beautiful grounds, vineyards and Roman cisterns from 100 AD. The picnic area for the tasting was absolutely lovely and fully shaded. The wines were fabulous!!! Everyone in our group bought multiple bottles. The food prepared for the pairings was also exquisite. This is a must do experience when in Sorrento!!! Thank you for such a memorable day!

We had an excellent time on this vineyard tour. It was a short 15 minute drive from Sorrento. The land that the vineyard is on is absolutely stunning with spectacular views and a gorgeous garden. Our guide, Ombretta, talked us through how the wine was made and we tasted 6 different wines. They were all delicious and we were given a generous amount and were offered top ups. The food pairings to go with it were delicious too. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sorrento!

We had a perfect day at DeAngelis Winery. Ombretta’s passion for wine and experience was evident. She explained in a clear and intriguing way the process of wine making. We began our tour at the bottling facility and then went to one of their vineyards. This 54 acre vineyard was beautiful. We walked the vineyard and then sat down for a tasting of 7 different wines. We also enjoyed a light lunch of cheese, meats, olive oils and bread. Each bottle of wine has a story. I highly recommend a tour of DeAngelis winery.

I 100% recommend this experience. We booked the Tasting in the Vineyard package, which was hosted by Ombretta. From the beginning she gave us the most professional and kind treatment. We arrived 10 minutes early, and she happily showed us around the winery at no extra cost, until our transport arrived. On the drive to the Vineyard she told us interesting facts about Sorrento, herself, and the local area. She gave great recommendations for later in our trip which were much appreciated. When we arrived at the Vineyard, we couldn’t believe how beautiful the grounds are. They are nearly 100% organic, with vegetable patches (which grew all that was served for our lunch), olive trees, walnut trees, lemons - everything!! The views of Vesuvius and the Mediterranean are fabulous. When we went for the tasting portion of our tour, we couldn’t believe the generosity in the food that was served. Bruschetta, ricotta, mozzarella, cold cuts, grilled veggies from the garden, bread, everything was delicious. Then came the main course which was a perfectly cooked tomato gnocchi. The wines themselves are absolutely delicious, and Ombretta being a sommelier and certified wine taster just added to the experience, as she was able to describe the flavours in a unique level of detail. We purchased a bottle of the Sorrento white, which is a lovely, dry and fresh white, as well as the Drusilla rosé. So refreshing, and didn’t last until the end of our trip… as the Italians say… What a pity! Thanks again Ombretta, we will certainly be back.

We did the wine tour to the vineyard and it was one of our favorite experiences while in Sorrento. The vineyard was beautiful, our tour guide was knowledgeable and we learned so much, it also included soooo much delicious food. We tried six wines, which I enjoyed them all. Definitely do this tour when in town!

If you like to drink wine that is local to an area whilst learning a bit about it in a fun and relaxed environment then this is for you! Fabio our host was incredible. Friendly, fun and full of knowledge and passion about the wines on offer. We did our tasting in the wine cellar and it was paired with lovely local cheeses and cured meats. Yes, you could get wine in a bar for cheaper, but it is the experience that you are paying for, and it was worth every cent. Grazie mille Fabio!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience at this Vinyard!! Omburto the wine taster and sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and so fun. We toured the facility Which was absolutely beautiful, with hundreds of herbs and flowers. Then the tasting was with six of the vinyards best wines. I highly recommend this tour!
