Bagni Delfino is a charming, family-run restaurant that has been a beloved destination in Sorrento for over 50 years. Situated in the picturesque Marina Grande, this restaurant offers a romantic and evocative atmosphere with its terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The Gargiulo family's impeccable service and excellent traditional local cuisine have made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Bagni Delfino is an absolute gem right in front of Spiaggia di Sorrento. If you truly love seafood, this is your spot. The food is fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor — you can taste the quality in every bite. Service is fast without feeling rushed, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. Order a bottle of wine, let the pace slow down, and take in the stunning view of Mount Vesuvius. If you stay until nightfall, you’ll be rewarded with the sparkling lights of Naples shimmering across the water — an unforgettable sight that makes the whole experience even more magical.

I’ve been here for several weeks and this has by far been my favourite restaurant. I’m a very picky eater so when I dined here, I came back another 5x because it was exactly to my liking! They are so accomodating to ensure the food is cooked exactly to how you like it as well. The oysters are incredible ( placed on the ice to keep it extra fresh) - served with caviar and the pasta is cooked to perfection. The service is so welcoming and knows how to make your experience here unforgettable. The restaurant has a wonderful sunset view as well. Id highly recommend. 10/10

Fantastic experience here for our honeymoon/anniversary. We were seated immediately with a beautiful view for our reservation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Delicious, fresh seafood. They were also fun and friendly, and after we enjoyed our tiramisu, they gifted us with some religious charms to put on a necklace. Would recommend and look forward to coming back!

Absolutely wonderful experience! We were seated for our reservation immediately with a beautiful view of the water and were greeted with a complimentary bruschetta from the staff — a delicious surprise. Every member of the team was friendly, multilingual, and incredibly attentive. They never let our wine glasses get even slightly low, constantly refilling them without us ever needing to ask. The carbonara was fantastic, and the ravioli alla caprese was truly the best ravioli I’ve ever had. Though we skipped dessert since it was lunchtime, the staff surprised us again with complimentary limoncello shots after learning we were celebrating our honeymoon. From the service to the food to the stunning setting, everything about Bagni Delfino made for a perfect meal. Highly recommend

Good selection of food and drinks although I was looking to purchase a bottle of Azul or even a shot and was told they're for their own collection. Food was okay, service was great, kept our drinks topped up and had a huge selection of Italian wines. And the views of the evening was breathtaking, i could imagine the day to be just as good.
Alex P — Google review
We came here all the way from the Sorrento city center because of the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The interior is nice and the views on the sea are magnificent. The staff however is, whilst friendly in direct contact, not attentive and we had the feeling of being ignored a couple of times during the evening. The food menu is not very variable nor original. The food itself was very basic and bland, nothing that justifies it’s price of € 30-40 per plate. I’d recommend going to another restaurant in the surroundings where you can get this food (or even better) for a reasonable price.
Gilles B — Google review
Bagni Delfino is just perfect, the view, the food and hospitality are all incredible. Every time we come to Sorrento, we make sure to come as many times as we can. The seafood is delicious and perfectly paired with the magnificent view. The owners are always so hospitable and welcoming, they make you feel at home in the most beautiful setting.

Service was the best we experienced in Amalfi coast. Seafood pastas we had were rich and delicious. Ricotta filled ravioli was fresh and had lovely taste. Prices are overall higher than in some other places in already expensive Sorrento.

Il Buco is a renowned Italian restaurant located in the historic center of Sorrento. The chic space, set under a stone ceiling, offers inventive tasting menus and wine pairings. The restaurant is known for its Michelin-starred status and contemporary presentation of Campania's cuisine.
Highly recommend checking out Il Buco! We had such a fun evening, fabulous food and drinks! My husband did the tasting menu and it was incredible. The rest of us ordered from the menu and truly enjoyed each thing. The highlight was the raw fish platter - amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful and made our experience even better.
Lindsay V — Google review
Unfortunately, Il Buco does not live up to its Michelin star. The food seems passionless. We opted for the “I trust you” menu because we wanted to see what creative dishes the chef would come up with. Instead, we just got random dishes from the menu. Nothing about the choices was inventive and we honestly would have saved money if we ordered those dishes directly. The initial appetizers were very bland — and so while we were initially interested in the wine pairing, we switched to just ordering a bottle since we didn’t feel like the pairing would live up to our standards. It also felt unorganized - we had about 3-4 different servers all at once. Above all, it was a fine meal. But it doesn’t deserve the amount of money we paid. I wouldn’t go back.
Elsa A — Google review
My wife and I had a wonderful evening here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary whilst in Sorrento. We were attended to faultlessly. The food was absolutely delicious and the wine was superb (there is a very extensive list and the staff are happy to talk and make suggestions). Is there good food elsewhere in Sorrento? Yes. Is there cheaper food elsewhere in Sorrento? Yes. However, this was comfortably the best dining experience we had during our week stay to Sorrento. Would recommend for a special evening.
Adrian S — Google review
This was one of my favorite dining experiences to date! Off the bat, the atmosphere was incredible. They seated me right away without a reservation, in a beautifully lit entry garden to the restaurant. It was just private enough where I could still enjoy some people watching. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely to die for. Would recommend splurging and getting the dessert. Loved the Wild Strawberry Tart, I thought I had died and went to heaven. Don't waste any more time and enjoy this lovely dining experience!

**A Perfect Finale to Our Italian Adventure 🇮🇹✨** I have nothing but praise for this incredible restaurant. For our final night in Italy, we decided to treat ourselves to a special dinner—and it was worth every single penny. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The chef personally came out to greet us and thoughtfully asked about any dietary preferences. As vegetarians, we were blown away by the care and creativity he put into crafting a menu just for us. Every dish was a masterpiece—flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with clear passion. The ambiance was warm and elegant, making it the perfect setting for a memorable evening. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply indulge in outstanding cuisine, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It was the perfect way to end our trip on a high note! ---

A fabulous location, tucked away down a cute cobbled street you enter into the restaurant and are seated in a spacious cellar that feels light, bright and airy. We opted for a tasting menu and every course was divine. The attention to detail is impeccable, with some items looking like art, but not loosing any flavour for it! Service was faultless, staff are super helpful and friendly. We went for a special birthday and our dessert course was served with a candle and a serenade of happy birthday! An absolute MUST visit if you find yourself in Sorrento!

Best restaurant in Sorrento! Service is impeccable and they literally cater to you! The chef, the manager and the servers are all extremely professional. The food is exquisite and each dish has a special touch! Ambiance is also lovely with a beautiful desert lab and wine cellar! We loved it so much that we came twice in one week!

Great food, amazing service. Definitely recommended to everyone. I ordered the I Trust You menu, and the food was definitely beyond expectations. Had the best tempura oyster and beef taco. Remember to book in advance for dinner, the restaurant is super popular and the indoor space was already fully booked by the time I arrived.

Italian restaurant
L'Antica Trattoria is a charming restaurant located in the historic heart of Sorrento, offering cozy rooms adorned with vintage decor and a delightful flower-filled terrace. The restaurant provides an intimate and refined dining experience, with captivating and imaginative names for its small rooms. It's a peaceful oasis where guests can savor traditional homemade recipes in an atmosphere of warm and serene intimacy.
We had an amazing dining experience at L'Antica Trattoria! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and while it’s a bit more expensive, it’s absolutely worth every euro. The food was outstanding: fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Our waiter, Luigi, made the evening unforgettable. He was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. His recommendations were spot-on, especially the calamari, it was the best we’ve ever had. From start to finish, the little touches made the meal special: complimentary bites to kick things off, incredible olive oil, a lemon pasta that blew me away, my wife had a special concoction of clams, mussels, and tomatoes, and a perfect pastry at the end that truly deserves a chef’s kiss. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Sorrento: delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond.
Travis C — Google review
First of all you need to make reservations in advance. We were welcomed with a glass of prosseco and some amuse buche. You should also try their bread with olive oil and salt. We ordered calamari and red prawns for appetizers. They were both good but red prawns were impressive. For main we had cacio e pepe & see bass. Excelent. And for desert we had chef fantasy pastiera&tiramisu. But we also get a profiterol for free. The ambiance was great. The wine was spectacular. Our host Antonino made us feel very good and welcomed and did not rush us. Make sure not to eat when you come here because you will be full.

Must place to eat! My BF and I, both cooks, had an amazing lunch and dinner in L’Antica Trattoria this summer and we can assure you is the best place to eat in Sorrento. All food was amazing and the service truly makes you feel like a family. We had a creamy lemon pasta with prawns, a beautiful pasta a la nerano, a very well cook lobster with coconut cream, for dessert: Tiramisu and Ricotta and Pear, tasty, unforgettable dinner, thank you nonno Aldo and team!
Angela A — Google review
‏Excellent restaurant! We ordered very tasty pasta dishes, don't miss the lemon pasta (also available without shrimp). The staff is very friendly and helpful. We made a reservation through the hotel reception.

One of the best places we came across here in Sorrento. I had the first lemon sauce spaghetti, and I love it. The waitress was very lovely, gentle and educated. We sat in the middle of the afternoon and he gave his best.
Vanessa S — Google review
My husband and I loved dining here for dinner! The best food I had all week! You must go…and SO MUCH food! Our waiter Antoninio was phenomenal! We will miss this place, and I will be dreaming of the Tagliolini Antica Trattoria until I return.🤍🍋
Hannah N — Google review
The atmosphere and the staff were amazingly friendly and fancy. They were very helpful and descriptive. We ordered shrimp & lemon pasta and pacio e pepe Pasta with beef. The shrimp and beef and lemon and ingredients were of high quality and soo fresh. But we didn't fancy the taste very much. The ingredients on their own are amazing however, the overall taste wasn't special or unique.
Ahmed T — Google review
We love pasta. Do you love it too? Then you absolutely need to visit this place. This is where my boyfriend and I got goosebumps. We ordered the lemon pasta, and it was just perfect. The lemon flavor lingers from the first bite to the last. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Every dish we had was perfetto! The gentleman who served us was truly charming, full of laughter, good manners, and smiles. He made our visit to the restaurant unforgettable. If you’re lucky, you might even hear him sing, turning the restaurant into an opera. Will definitely miss this place.

Trattoria Da Emilia is a charming, family-run restaurant nestled in the heart of Sorrento's historic center. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere, adorned with traditional Italian decor, creates a sense of warmth and comfort for diners. What sets this trattoria apart is its picturesque setting by the port, offering guests the opportunity to dine at tables overlooking the beach and Mediterranean waves.
Had a fantastic lunch here before our kayak tour, we got here right before the lunch crowd came in and were seated right away. Servers were attentive and the food was delicious! We were in Italy for several weeks and this was probably one of our top meals of the entire trip!

Fantastic find. We had delicious octopus, lobster spaghetti and tuna starter. Dessert is worth having! Friendly place. Really felt welcoming and like they cared. Will go again.
Charlotte R — Google review
Great spot right on the water with fast service and a very friendly staff. Prices were reasonable and comparable to other restaurants in the area. The seating offers beautiful views, terrace tables are especially nice, though those come with a longer wait. We ordered the sea bass, vegetable plate, and mussels. The portions were generous, and the mussels in particular were outstanding. You get far more for the price here than you’d ever see in the U.S. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with a perfect setting.
Travis C — Google review
Found that spot near the sea and thought to give it a go. Menu looks heavily seafood based, which is absolutely fine and even expected to be honest. The menu did mention (in fine print at the bottom of some pages) that some seafood might be frozen — just not on every page. Naturally, when it wasn’t mentioned on the first course page, I assumed the seafood would be fresh. So I ordered the seafood risotto, and my partner went for the fresh seafood pasta. Oh wow, €30 for a risotto with frozen, chewy, flavorless ingredients? What a steal! Only King Prawn and mussels seem to be fresh. And the seafood pasta? Sure, the pasta was fine — shame the seafood tasted like it took a detour through the freezer aisle. Tried this place once and would not come back. Atmosphere is nice. House wine good. Location good. Service could be organised better, waitresses were friendly.
Gabriel B — Google review
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. For the starter, I ordered the tuna tartare, which was fresh and perfectly seasoned. My main course was the seafood risotto — the flavors were amazing, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. To finish, the dessert was absolutely delightful. Highly recommend this place for a delicious and memorable dinner.
Karen K — Google review
Food was ok but a bit pricey for the quality that we recieved. The octopus was really good as well as the grilled seabass! However the other grilled seafood items were a little overcooked and the seafood pasta was a little dissapointing, flavor-wise. We had to add salt and pepper it. The Sorrento lemon delight cake was just ok. Not worth the €7 in my opinion. The staff was friendly.
Wesley W — Google review
The food is just okay, nothing memorable but the oceanfront setting is real draw. You’re mostly paying for the view, not for the meal. Great for sunset dinner, but don’t expect to be wowed by the cuisine.
Mo P — Google review
Great spot on the water! (You will get a little splashed in windy weather) We got the mussels in tomato sauce, gnocchi with clams, and fried seafood basket. Everything was delicious and my husband said this was some of the best fried fish he's ever had!

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Pizzeria da Franco is a beloved spot known for its exceptional pizza and casual ambiance. The venue offers classic pizzas, sandwiches, and beer in a laid-back setting with bench seating. What sets this pizzeria apart is its famous wood-burning oven that cooks pizzas at high temperatures, resulting in thin and crisp crusts. Additionally, the restaurant serves traditional Italian dishes like saltimbocca alongside their signature pizzas.
Excellent pizza you must visit here. Fabulous and best pizza I've had in Sorrento. Reasonably priced, nice environment, quick service, locals use this for deliveries too which speaks volumes about this pizzeria. I highly recommend you try it here. It's a little outside the centre square of Sorrento but well worth a visit. Highly recommend the quattro, 4 different variations of pizza and well worth it. If not, make sure you get one with a tomato base as it tastes superb (i particularly liked the one with a little garlic in!) Try here you won't regret it!
Charlie W — Google review
Fantastic Pizzeria in the Heart of Sorrento We had a wonderful experience at Pizzeria da Franco! The food was absolutely delicious – proper wood-fired pizzas and a lovely dessert to end the meal. The atmosphere was buzzing, full of locals and visitors alike, which gave it a great energy. Service was friendly and fun. Even though it was very busy and things took a bit longer, it was completely understandable and worth the wait. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Italian pizza in a relaxed, vibrant setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Yummy pizza! I had the margarita pizza. Relaxed atmosphere and kind service. Wow this place is popular and I went on an off time because the wait can be insane but still waited, great prices snd delicious food so obviously worth it. Seating outside is available. Loud inside.
Deborah L — Google review
I recently dined at Franco and it was fantastic! The pizza was perfectly crispy with fresh, flavorful toppings and rich, tangy sauce—truly authentic. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. A must-visit for pizza lovers.
Mo P — Google review
Okay... let's define priorities. For me the food and service matter. Francos gave me an incredible thin crust pizza that was crisp and loaded with quality toppings and flavor. It was impressive. Service was mediocre at best and it's a volume based business so I get it. The paper plates and plastic cups and cutlery really just threw me. It didn't make my pizza taste any less amazing but it was just weird and diminished the experience. I'm sure it saves them money vs a dishwasher, etc. BUT... maybe they had to do it because of the giant pizza ovens they have which probably result in their better pizza. I'm guessing those giant ovens hold the heat better and result in that quality pizza. Would I go back there again for an exceptional pizza at a great price... ABSOLUTELY. Will I still whine about the paper plate and plastic cutlery... probably. PS... as per the picture they have charging stations at all the wall booths and free Wifi... which is an added bonus to the pizza.
Brian H — Google review
With a 4.2-star rating and so many glowing reviews calling this place “fantastic,” “excellent,” and “unmissable,” I was expecting a solid Neapolitan-style pizza. What we got was not Neapolitan pizza — not even close. The crust, which should be the star of a true Neapolitan pie — puffy, airy, chewy with a bit of char — was flat and uninspired. It lacked the texture and flavor you'd expect from a properly fermented dough cooked in a high-heat oven. The toppings didn’t help either — underwhelming and far from the fresh, balanced simplicity that defines this style. Maybe we caught them on an off night, or maybe our expectations were too grounded in what you'd get just a short drive away in downtown Naples. Either way, this was a huge letdown. Based on this first (and likely only) experience, I wouldn't recommend it.
Eric F — Google review
Ate here twice on our week in sorrento , pizza was fabulous then for a panini the next visit and it was amazing. We sat outside it’s a bit noisy by the road but inside looks class and it’s so busy . I definitely recommend so well priced .
Amy G — Google review
Recommended by our taxi driver with three grown children also living in Sorrento. Turned out to be an excellent choice. The mixed appetizer dish was enough for four while waiting for our pizzas. Every ingredient was fresh and tasty, which made our pizzas excellent. The dough was thin and flavorful. The price was also reasonable.

Ristorante Museo Caruso is a sophisticated dining destination located in the heart of Sorrento, Italy. Housed in a 19th-century villa that was once the home of the legendary tenor Enrico Caruso, this restaurant pays homage to his legacy. The elegant dining room adorned with art and vintage photos sets the stage for an exceptional culinary experience.
My husband and I loved this restaurant. The service was exceptional. You are welcomed with a complimentary sparkling wine while you settled in and enjoy the menu. No dirty dish remained on our table and the staff was always keenly watchful and noticed anytime we needed anything. This food was among the best we had in Sorrento. Their unique Caprese salad and the zucchini pasta were amazing and I highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this place one night during our honeymoon in Sorrento and it was the best choice we made. We did the tasting menu and every single thing we were served was incredible. It is such a unique restaurant and there is so much to look at inside, making for great table talk. The service was amazing and we have already recommended this place to others who are travelling to Sorrento. 10/10!

A "museum" restaurant dedicated to Enrico Caruso. The walls are filled to the brim with memorabilia of the great tenor. Their food selections was great and tasty, if you've overate from trying everything during the day they also apparently have a great selection of tasting menus. I call it more a restaurant with a museum gimmick than a museum with a restaurant, it's not a bad thing however. My family visit was a bit more focused on the food so all I could learn about Enrico Caruso were some small tidbits and quotes written in the menu. Beaides they are playing old recordings of the gret tenor and my god all of them are enjoyable to accompany you during a good meal 10va/10 would recommend.

What a treat! From the moment we walked in the door the service was impecable. Our waiter was so friendly and welcoming and explained the menu so well. The food was so delicious and the wine selection was great! Each course was prepared perfectly. The atmosphere was so relaxed and in addition to making our party feel so welcomed, seeing the restaurant team celebrate the Nona’s birthday next to us and making her feel so special, added to the fun the entire dining room was having. They are the definition of true hospitality. Thank you for such a great evening!

This was by far the best meal we had in Sorrento. Nestled just steps from Tasso Square, Caruso Museo is a true hidden gem- it’s tucked away from the tourist bustle yet right in the heart of town. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The service was impeccable, attentive without ever being intrusive, and every detail was carefully thought through. Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and even more delicious than we could have imagined. The flavors were refined, perfectly balanced, and worthy of its Michelin recognition. The ambiance added to the charm, elegant, intimate, and full of character. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Sorrento, skip the tourist traps and treat yourself to Caruso Museo. It’s an absolute must-visit and a meal we’ll be talking about for years to come.

Wonderful! We've been coming to Sorrento for years and have never dined here - the restaurant's name somehow gave us the impression of a touristic place. We couldn't have been more wrong! The ambiance is elegant, the service impeccable, the food amazing and the wine list impressive. We'll definitely be back!
Hannele P — Google review
A wonderful place for a long lingering dinner! I chose this place based upon other reviews here and I was not disappointed one iota! It’s centrally located and actually rather large inside, yet divided into a few intimate dining areas. We shared ours with a few solo diners, but rest assured we outlasted them! We chose the meat tasting menu and it was delicious from start to finish! The photos tell a much better story that I can type… The wine was also excellent. We chose the first bottle based upon the host’s recommendation and we chose a known entity for the second - both were excellent! But they were just two of many hundreds of bottles on their extensive list.

Terrazza Bosquet is an elegant waterfront restaurant located in the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria, offering high-concept regional and Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant boasts a Michelin-starred status and presents a Profane tasting menu with theatrical and delightful dishes, complemented by perfect wine pairings selected by the knowledgeable sommelier. With its amazing sea view, this charming establishment in Sorrento stands out for its creative cuisine that adds a modern twist to traditional recipes.
Incredible tasting menu, we had the vegetarian version. The dishes sound deceptively simple but are in fact very creatively and beautifully presented. The service was also great and as far as tasting menus in Europe go, we felt this restaurant had top notch service, unique food, and was worth the price. If you have dietary requirements, please explicitly share these when you first arrive, as the 'surprise dishes' start before you are even seated.

The service was truly excellent - special thanks to our waiter Alexander, who did a fantastic job and made us feel very well taken care of. The view was stunning, no doubt about that. But when it comes to the food… there are some questions. The dishes didn’t quite deliver the kind of flavor explosion one might hope for at this level. Some elements lacked clarity, and I didn’t notice any particularly bold or memorable choices in the menu. I wouldn’t call the food outstanding - rather, it was a good dinner, but not a wow experience. When we choose a Michelin-starred restaurant, we expect not only refined technique and beautiful plating, but also a kind of emotional impact - something we can’t easily find in a regular dining experience. And in that sense, our expectations weren’t fully met.

From Miami to NY and all in between, this is the most artistic, well planned, extravagant meal I’ve ever had. -we went with the medium corse which was plenty -highly encourage you to eat slow, enjoy the flavors and truly get your pallet to find them -evening time was awesome -first few sets were my favorite because he played with simple taste like Cesar salad but did it Picasso style and packed a punch -reviews speak for itself Chef we greatly appreciate the honor of being able to spend our anniversary at your restaurant. We took a sealed menu and will open it on the next 15 years if our marriage. Thank you!

Wonderful tasting menu in the heart of Sorrento. Food was unique and presented well. Like most tasting menus, 1-2 courses were a bit less special, but the magical view compensates. I’d try and get a table overlooking the water, but even views from the back are special. Arrive 10 min early as it can be a bit of a challenge to find.

Impeccable service and tastes. It’s well worth all praises for both the chefs and the service staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special night out. Ask the great servers for recommendations to match your tastes.

We had a magical evening with the team at Terrazza Bosquet. What’s stuck with me? The most was how the dishes captured the local influence— Fresh fish, silky produce, and fantastic Italian wine. Would highly recommend.

Another incredible experience at this restaurant! This time we attended as a party of 6 and we were extremely well looked after and the food was outstanding amidst the beautiful surroundings. Our waiter to was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were unsure which wine to order and he gave us the perfect recommendation. . He also suggested a mix of antipasti from the garden and we were all blown away by the delicious, fresh selection. We had some green beans in tomato sauce, stuffed zucchini flowers, fresh mozzarella and fresh tomato salad. We then shared a mix of the famous cannelloni before our main course. I ordered the lamb chops which were juicy and full of flavour. Every member of our party were extremely impressed and grateful for a fantastic day. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. Go and have a fantastic experience. Highly recommend 👌🏼

A unique dining experience with amazing food. To be seated, we went inside and up a set of stairs into the main part of the restaurant where you're greeted. After less than five minutes, we were seated in the dining area which is all under beautiful lemon trees, and everyone is surrounded by foliage and vibrant green leaves. The restaurant easily seats a couple hundred people, and as such is very busy. Staff are constantly coming through with food. The food came fast, and everything tasted delicious. All three of our main courses, however, were cold when they arrived which was a shame. You can buy wine by the half bottle. There is no affordable "house wine" option for €10 (as of September 2025). Portion sizes were moderate. There is a cover fee of 2,5 euros and you're expected to spend minimum €30 per person. There is an English version of the menu.

the cutest lemon farm could not recommend enough- we shared a bottle of red wine, their famous cannoli pasta and then I got rigatoni and braccoli. It was incredible and so was the gnocchi. The table was gorgeous. It was under lemon trees with real lemons at the restaurant was huge and they fit 500 tables. We wanted to have our wedding there. This restaurant was four generation family owns since 1800 and first restaurant ever in sorrento

One of the most beautiful restaurants and great service. Definitely book in advance and sit in the garden. After your meal, walk through the beautiful gardens, it’s very magical. Food is pretty good and the drinks are delicious. It is apparently where cannelloni was invited so we had to try it and it was ok. I would definitely go again mainly for the atmosphere, it feels very magical. But food could definitely improve. Also there’s lots of comments about the prices being overpriced. I thought it’s fairly in range with other restaurants and considering the atmosphere and space, it’s definitely worth it.

The food at O’Parrucchiano La Favorita in Sorrento was outstanding, and the wine complemented it perfectly. The highlight of our meal was, without a doubt, their famous cannelloni — a specialty of the house that is simply a must-try. Beyond the food, the setting is absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant has a stunning ceiling covered with natural lemon branches, creating a magical atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Dining beneath the lemon trees felt both unique and unforgettable. What truly elevated our experience, however, was our waiter. His kindness, patience, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel welcome and cared for throughout the evening. This place is not only about dining — it’s about living a beautiful memory in Sorrento. Highly recommended! Greetings from Canada, from your Mexican and Ukrainian friends. 🇲🇽🇺🇦🇨🇦

This is a great restaurant experience in Sorrento with an amazing indoor/outdoor garden. The ambience is truly unlike any other place we’ve been, and when you’re done eating, you can walk all around the huge garden. My husband loved the veal marsala, and the rest of the food was above average. Definitely recommend.

Was on holiday here recently and visited with new friends one evening. What an amazing venue. We were seated straight away, the food was incredible with the staff very attentive. After dinner we strolled around the garden areas taking photos and relaxing in this wonderful place.

The restaurant’s setting was absolutely stunning and charming. The atmosphere, however, was a bit off since we came right at opening time, when there was no one else inside. The food was rather average, I’d say, but the service was top-notch.

Thankful to our Airbnb host (Carmine) for having made a reservation for us here - what a treat! Authentic Sorrento / Amalfi coast cuisine. Surprisingly pizza wasn’t something we ordered- the rest of the menu was more attractive. Beautiful decor, attentive and professional staff, ample seating. We went light with the order this evening - a spaghetti cacio e pepe, a ravioli neri (ravioli made with squid ink, stuffed with seafood and cheese), and a fried cod croquette. Amazing restaurant, mouth watering flavors. Would love to return.

We recently dined here while on an excursion from the cruise port. We only had a limited time while in Sorrento. We sat down without a wait and they served us promptly. I highly recommend getting pizza since this is home of the pizza. You will not be disappointed. Also, limoncello with complementary after your meal. Make sure to eat fast so you have time to do some shopping. Next time we are in Sorrento, we are coming back.

This is a nice place to eat. The food was tasty but over priced. The hostess was very pleasant but the main manager was not very friendly and a bit grumpy. The rest of the servers were great. The restaurant was beautiful inside and very clean. If you don't mind paying for high prices it's worth visiting.

As they say—always ask the locals where to eat! We would’ve never discovered this amazing spot just by walking around, but thankfully, our hotel staff recommended it and made a reservation for us. To our surprise, the food was absolutely next level—every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. When we mentioned we’d like to share our dishes, the staff thoughtfully split everything into two portions without us even asking again. It’s those little touches that make a big difference. The seafood platter was a standout—rich in flavor, incredibly fresh, and beautifully presented. Honestly, there wasn’t a single dish we could fault. A special thank you to Francesco, who truly elevated our dining experience with his warmth and attentiveness. This restaurant is a must-visit if you’re looking for incredible food and genuine hospitality.

One of the best restaurants we tried during our recent visit to Sorrento. We ordered a pizza & calzone and both were wonderful and plentiful enough to share. Be aware that this is a white tablecloth restaurant though so plan on being a bit dressed up. As an added bonus, the restaurant treats each guest to a shot of limoncello at the end of the meal.
Zack F — Google review
I had the stuffed pizza and caramel chocolate cake. The pizza wasn't really cooked all the way but I was so hungry that I kept quiet. I've learned that if you tell an Italian restaurant that their food wasn't prepared properly that they take great offense to it. I've been in the food industry and I've worked in places that do things to food on the return back to the customer so thats always been a paranoia of mine that someone will do something to my food if I send it back. We had a change of waiters mid meals not by choice but we were okay with it since our original waiter wasn't in a good mood and rushed us through our ordering. Prior to coming here we saw a few pictures on the border of pg rating so I wasn't surprised to see the picture on my place once my pizza was finished. I think if you don't speak their language it makes your experience slightly worse and seems like they didn't care for you the same way.

Inn Bufalito is a charming restaurant located on a quiet side street in Sorrento, offering a delightful off-the-beaten-path dining experience. The proprietors warmly welcome guests and serve an appetizer of bufala cheese and focaccia paired with red or white wine. With its picturesque location overlooking Marina Grande, the restaurant seamlessly combines traditional recipes with creative flair, providing a unique culinary journey.
Wow what a restaurant. Was greated by a wonderful host. Went through the menus, wines, fantastic. Fillet in truffle sauce and the sliced sirloin were excellent, cheese fondue to start was good but was more of a pizza topping sauce with cheese. Rosemary bread was loverly and the chocolate cake with hint of orange was good.

We walked by, were greeted with the word steak and decided to listen to the gentleman at the door. We decided on the buffalo cheese platter for 2, curred meat platter for 2, focaccia and a small salad. It was the perfect amount of food for 4 of us and delicious! Service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice, restrooms were clean.

Really enjoyed this restaurant dedicated to the Buffalo. Food was excellent quality. We enjoyed a delicious sampler of different Buffalo cheese. It was enough for 4 people! We also had fish that was freshly caught and grilled simply with lemon sauce. Would definitely dine here again.

I will dream of the Paccheri al ragù di Bufalo when I get home 🤤 The waiter recommended it and I am so glad I listened. The caprese and focaccia were also excellent- the best we had in all of Italy. We also had the Delizia al Limone- so light and delicious. If I ever return, I will order the exact same thing, and maybe an extra for the road. YUM!

I was recommended this restaurant from a stranger I ran into in the US that overheard me talking about going to the Amalfi Coast. We went and were so glad we did. We had an amazing dinner for 4 here (2 couples). We tried all the cheeses, had a beef steak and a buffalo steak, gnocchi and spaghetti and then 3 desserts (lemon cake, raspberry cheesecake & crème brûlée). Plus PLENTY of Falanghina. Our waiter was amazing and basically curated our dinner. Would definitely recommend for a delicious meal in Sorrento.

We had a great dinner tonight at Inn Buffalo. The ambiance had a great vibe to it. The service was both courteous and professional and the food was great. La Cantinaccia del Popolo in Sorrento is a beloved culinary landmark, known for its authentic Italian dishes and warm ambiance. This charming restaurant offers exceptional cuisine at affordable prices, making it a popular choice among locals and visitors alike. The rustic interior adds to the cozy atmosphere, with cured meats hanging from the ceiling and a variety of delectable options available for dining in or take away.
We got extremely lucky and happened to book a hotel opposite this local favourite. Truly blown away. On both occasions, we had a combination of excellent service from a gentleman and (we think) the one female serving tables. There may be more of course but she was pretty phenomenal at her job (and we work in hospitality). The restaurant is fun, has a wonderful atmosphere and the food is just something else! Every dish we had was an explosion of flavour; clean plates every time. We can’t recommend a visit to this restaurant enough. In our experience, watching from our pool, the queues were fairly steady. Lunchtime seemed to be calmer and easier to get a table (we went for lunch both times) but the team work hard to accommodate and the queue does go down fairly quickly (although, as a customer, you don’t feel rushed). We have 3 days left of our holiday and will be back for one last visit! Excellent.

We love this place 🍝 We visited this restaurant 4 times during our stay in Sorrento, and every single visit was perfect! The food is absolutely the best we’ve had, and the service is just as incredible. They always went out of their way to accommodate us, and we felt so welcomed every time. It’s walk-in only with no bookings, but it was definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere felt like sitting in Nonna’s house, enjoying hearty Italian food at a very reasonable price – and it’s absolutely NOT a tourist trap. The ravioli was our favourite stand out dish, wow! A huge thank you to the owner Pepe and the amazing staff Angelo, Rosita, Mary & Andrea – you made our experience unforgettable. We’ve recommended this restaurant to all of our family and friends who have since visited Sorrento, and they’ve all raved about it (many going back multiple times too!). Can’t wait to visit again!

We just had the best meal of our Italian trip here. Absolutely incredible. The food, service and quality is exceptional. Well worth lining up for. We dined here twice and will likely again before leaving Sorrento, it’s that good. The ravioli con pomadorini was delicious ans was the polpetti and pasta con melanzane. The rib eye beef steak even better than we had in Tuscany! The line was really long tonight and we paid for it with a terrible meal elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and line up - there’s a reason the line is so long. The owner and all staff are all super friendly and maintain exceptional customer service to all customers, even with the masses that come through. We look forward to dining there again asap!

We’ve traveled to many cities in Italy on vacation and out of all the places, this place was the BEST! The food was excellent: zucchini flowers were 10/10, gnocchi was amazing, and the penne alla cantinaccia was incredible!! The chocolate soufflé was SO GOOD that we ordered a second one! The staff were so friendly and welcoming! Definitely worth waiting in line for a seat here! We will make a point to come back here multiple times next time we’re in town!

This is the best restaurant in Sorrento. Stand in the line, just wait it out (they'll give you cheese or some other goodies if the line is long). The food is awesome, no coperto or cover charge (a rarity in Sorrento!) - and the atmosphere is awesome. Wine and food portions are extremely generous. This is how a restaurant should be - it feels like a family run place where the workers are having fun, great decoration. Servers were joking with the kids in our group and they had such a fun time. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food, and the service received. Oh, and the Gorgonzola Ravioli is one of the best pasta we had on our entire trip to Italy!
Brendan C — Google review
I passed by this restaurant at night and always long line so I decided to try it after reading good positive reviews. Me and my partner went here for lunch and was no wait. I ordered pasta with seafood in red sauce and my partner got the ravioli. His ravioli is 10/10. I think the best homemade one i tried so far. My dish was hugh and I couldn’t finish it but test so good. If you realize everywhere you go around here there is a fees per person when you dine in but not at this place they didn’t charge you for that. The big bottle of sparkling only 3euro. We also ordered a side of 3 meatballss which are delicious and only 6euro for that. I ordered it somewhere else and they charged you for 16euro for 3 meatball.

We set out to find a special Italian restaurant and stumbled upon this hidden gem, not realizing how renowned it truly is. First off, this place is listed in Rick Steves' Italy guide as a must-try spot 😳. Just five minutes after we sat down, a food tour group joined us, making it clear that this restaurant is famous for its incredible Italian cuisine. And boy, were they right—absolutely wowed! Both of our dishes were fantastic. My seafood pasta was overflowing with fresh seafood—more than pasta! Don't miss out on their Lemoncello Spritz and the exceptional Taurasi wines. I highly recommend giving this place a visit. No reservations needed, so go ahead and enjoy a true Italian feast!

As a mortgage lender from the US, La Cantinaccia del Popolo quickly became my favorite spot in Sorrento — we went three times during our week-long stay. The place is always packed (for good reason), and they even bring out cheese samples to people waiting in line, which was such a fun touch. Every dish we tried was amazing — the calamari was the best I’ve had, and the ravioli with pancetta was my personal favorite. Great staff, incredible energy, fantastic house wine, and beautiful presentations. A true gem and a must-visit when in Sorrento.

Overall we had a good experience here, out VRBO host recommended this place as “the best” in the area. I had a pizza and it was a little watery/floppy for my liking but it was still delicious. My wife had GF pasta and she did say it wasn’t as good as other places we tired. And we also got gnocchi which was very good. We had a great meal and we were satisfied at the end of the day.

This charming, family-owned restaurant was a PERFECT final meal for our trip to Southern Italy. We were met by a friendly employee who sat us down and asked if we wanted a glass of wine while we waited for our table (we had a reservation). The atmosphere is cute and cozy. We got our table in the alley, which was perfect (Sorrento is full of beautiful alleyways). The pizza was the best I’d had and I’d basically eaten pizza every day for 7 days. My friend and I split a delicious pasta dish so that’s why the portion may look a little small, but it was super delicious and tasted so fresh. The service was great and it was an overall, WONDERFUL experience. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal with a simply charming atmosphere!

I ordered a lemon pasta with shrimp and asked clearly if it was made with lemon juice or cream. They said cream. The pasta had no lemon flavor. It wasn’t even salted. I had to send it back. When it came out again, they had just thrown some salt on top. Not worth the price.

Donna Sofia is a charming restaurant located about 15 minutes inland from the bustling coastal area of Sorrento. The main dining room is adorned with numerous photos of the iconic Italian actress Sophia Loren, creating an intimate and nostalgic atmosphere. Guests can also opt for a more private dining experience in the lower floor dedicated to providing tranquility. The menu features classic Italian dishes such as calamari, porcini ravioli with truffles, and gnocchi alla sorrentina.
A truly hidden gem in the heart of Sorrento. The atmosphere was relaxed but set beautifully by the very attentive staff. We had Fabio as our waiter and we could not have asked for better service. The food was stunning each course offering a completely different taste sensation. Mario the owner allowed us to visit his very extensive wine cellar and take in the entire restaurant in all its glory. An absolutely wonderful experience that we will definitely be visiting again

The food was very good and it was extremely helpful that we had a reservation. It was packed and for a good reason, it was great! They even brought out a little side dish for you If you don’t order when others at the table are eating they give you a snack so you’re not left out. The staff are quick and polite. We got our first meal out very quickly but our second meal took 45 minutes where we were just sitting waiting to pay and leave but they wouldn’t let us because our food was still being processed. That was our only disappointment. The other disappointment which was small but out of their control was an accordion player played like two songs and then went around, asking for tips, which we thought he would continue playing, but he just left with the money. Kinda funny but wish we didn’t tip for two short songs.

I'm discussing food and eating for the last 2 weeks in Italy we made mention that we had not had our usual staples for food... We needed something besides pasta.. Protein... Wifeeee wanted beef and I wanted local seafood. In one second she told us to come here, we did and we can't say enough about the whole experience!! Great servers great food (good size portions) and if you like wine he has a wine cellar to dream about!!!

Food was real average and service was horrendous. Unless you want to be in your chair up against the table and constantly have your chair pushed and grabbed on to do not come here. The entire dinner me and my fiancé had our chairs as far as we could go in and we both kept getting pushed into and our chairs grabbed the entire night. At one point a server even bumped into my fiancé so hard his wrist was slammed into the table causing him pain throughout the night and hours later now. Towards the end of the night what seemed to be the owner even started smoking behind the bar which is near at least 10 tables completely ruined our appetite. The staff were very rude to everyone and unprofessional. Not a single smile from any customer in the room like you would normally see when going out to dinner. We saw multiple other people leave unhappy. Servers were slamming dishes around unnecessarily and slamming the coolers for the wine everywhere causing a loud echoing noise through the restaurant and multiple people turning around to see what the commotion was about. Do not come here unless you want an anxiety ridden meal worrying about the next time you’re going to get slammed in to.

Overall great experience. The food was great and the atmosphere and the service were good. The pasta is really amazing. Note that the prices you see online are outdated and nowadays it’s a bit pricey. Tip: you can ask to go to the wine cellar

Food was a solid 4, but the service was so horrible it over rides any sort of good meal. Male waiter black glasses heavy set serving back end of resteraunt near pizza oven has no business serving. Not a single smile, slamming into our chairs constantly, shoved his hand behind my fiances back to grab her chair when walking by, my elbow got slammed into so hard my hand launched up and wrist hit the side of the table. Owner/manager smoking a cigarette behind the bar filling the dining room with the aroma.. service was legit 3rd world.. horrible energy in whole room, front room had diff vibe and energy. My wrist is still throbbing, I would not return here for a free meal.

We enjoyed this place so much we went twice and was quite easily the best place we ate during our 2 week Italy trip! The staff were also so lovely, gave great recommemdations on wine and food. A must visit for Sorrento! ❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A lovely restaurant / wine bar in an alley just off the main avenue of Sorrento Centro. We were able to be seated with no reservation thankfully. Service was great. We loved our meals as well as people watching on a busy Friday evening (Ferreagosto). They even brought out watermelon for us to join in on the celebration. I would definitely return to try more of the menu!

My favourite place we found in Sorrento - so much so we were there 3 times in a week - once for just drinks, once for lunch and once for dinner. Each time was better than the last! The waiters are so friendly, polite and kind - their wine knowledge and professionalism was really perfect. The food speaks for itself and is absolutely delicious. Stand out favourites were the bruschetta and the veal cheek with mash potato - simply stunning. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Food and wine highlight of our trip! Great, friendly service from Antonio. They have a vast selection of wines and managed to have the wine we found from Ischia which no one else seems to sell (Crateca, Biancolella). The food was soo tasty and took us a while to finally decide what we’d eat as there was great choice, and not what you find everywhere else. We may be back again to try the rest.

Everything was tasty and well presented. Immaculate service. Portions are not big but they are ok if you compare with the price and flavors. Highly recommended plate is the artichoke even though all plates were very nice.

For sure the best restaurant we have been in Sorrento. We got a table on the street but they also have options inside. The service was very polite and attentive. The food was absolutely perfect. The best Carbonara of my life and the guancia di vitella was also tasty and tender. We didn't had a wine on this night but they have a huge wine list.

Marvellous food and wine. The staff are brilliant too. Order the bruchetta, especially the tomato one, best tomatoes I've ever ever had. The truffle pasta is amazing too.

Fauno Bar is a vibrant and iconic establishment located in the heart of Piazza Tasso, Sorrento. Since 1950, it has been a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking traditional Italian pastries, hearty breakfasts, coffee, cocktails, and Neapolitan pasta and pizza. The outdoor seating area offers a perfect vantage point for people-watching and soaking up the lively atmosphere of Sorrento.
Amazing place to eat! 🍝🍕 The atmosphere is lively and perfectly located in the heart of the square. The food was beyond delicious — everything we ordered was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully served. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and gave great recommendations on what to try. It’s the perfect spot for a nice dinner or just to relax with a drink and enjoy the view. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sorrento! Gnocchi Sorrentina – A local specialty! Soft gnocchi baked in tomato sauce and mozzarella — simple but heavenly. The main square of Sorrento, right in the heart of the city — surrounded by shops, cafés, and beautiful views of the lively streets.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an absolutely delightful dining experience in Sorrento! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and attention — greeted at the waiting area with a refreshing glass of prosecco, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The street view was great. The food was simply outstanding. The lamb was one of the softest I’ve ever had — tender, flavorful, and slipping effortlessly off the bone. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the spaghetti was bursting with authentic Italian flavor. Service was impeccable -quick, attentive without being intrusive — and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. We ended our meal with a complimentary liquori, the perfect sweet finish to an unforgettable evening. Decently priced for the quality and experience, this place truly captures the heart and soul of Sorrento dining. Highly recommend! 🍷✨

Without a doubt, Fauno Bar and Restaurant was a wonderful choice during our short stay in Sorrento. We enjoyed the outside seating, perfect for soaking in the lively atmosphere of the town. We ordered a Margherita pizza, gnocchi, and linguine vongole—each dish was absolutely delicious, full of fresh flavors and perfectly cooked. Although we had been warned that some restaurants might charge extra for certain things, Fauno’s service was nothing but professional and pleasant from start to finish. A truly enjoyable dining experience in the heart of Sorrento.

The place is busy and the location is perfect, right on Piazza Tasso. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special for us. The cannelloni were rubbery and the carbonara, although visually appealing, wasn't too flavourful. All in all a decent meal, not too expensive, but a bit on the touristy side. It had alfredo (which is obviously a no go) and the menu was huge and had everything in German and English too.

Well... as a Canadian who can appreciate the venue where you are at and comparing it to others in the area and not my home country.... this one would be a 5 star in Canada also. First off, beautiful and busy area and fun for crowd watching. What impressed me most is they take care of their locals like royalty.. they see them coming and they greet them and find them a seat and served them like family. I loved this! Shows loyalty and respect. Those guys are gonna be around during slow season. Now for my experience. The service was awesome and fun. They are laughing and smiling while working. You don't see that too often anymore especially in a busy place. They move to serve you and they are on you when they see you need or want something. So happy to see this type of old-school service. The FOOD!! OMG! Everything we had was delicious and plenty of it. It tastes homemade and so good. No one bad food plate. The prices were great too. No issues with pricing.. To top it off... they come bring you the bill with complimentary shots of homemade cherry whiskey type drink. (Shooter) not really sure what it was but it was cold and smoothing. And I don't feel those were hidden in the cost of the food, I truly believe it was a gift of "Thank you " for eating there. Over all, after 2 weeks all over Italy 🇮🇹, my best place to eat. If back to Italy, I will be back here. So delicious..

Enjoyed breakfast there were a few options to chose from. Service was attentive and prompt. The atmosphere is nice for outdoor seating. Just know it is a busy area, right next to a very busy cross walk with some traffic in the nearby intersection. Can be entertaining if you enjoy a busy atmosphere. Our table wasnt near the crowds so it was perfectly acceptable for me.

Absolutely our favorite dining spot in Sorrento! It has a lovely view from the outside, staff is fast and friendly, and most importantly, the food was outstanding! We ordered tomato bruscetta, the sorrentino gnocchi, and pesto pasta with extra shrimp. The bruscetta was fresh, gnocchi was the best we had in our life! So juicy and full of flavor! Pesto Pasta was fresh, zesty, and with an amazing touch! It was fulfilling and worth more than we were charged. The restroom also was very clean.

We stayed in Sorrento for 4 nights recently and had dinner twice here. The atmosphere was perfect for us, situated in the heart of Piazza Tasso where people watching is the main attraction. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We ordered the Insalata Nizzarasa that came eggs, tuna, olives, onions and potatoes as a starter, and then Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, followed by the best pizza we had ever had! Pizza con salsiccia (sausage) e melanzane (eggplant). Plus ordered a bottle of local red wine (Anglianico Janare Rosso) that was very reasonably priced and so delicious! The second time we went we had to wait for a table but the owner/ host gave us each a glass of prosecco on the house and had us wait in the bar area until our table was ready. Also, the bathrooms are the cleanest I have seen in Italy or anywhere else! The prices were very reasonable and an excellent value. I highly recommend Fauno Bar for drinks and food!

Ristorante Zi Ntonio is a renowned dining spot in Sorrento, situated in the historic Marina Grande fishing village just a short stroll from the town center. The restaurant exudes a cozy and rustic ambiance, adorned with traditional Italian ceramics, fishing nets, and vintage photographs. Its location offers breathtaking views of the vibrant fishing boats in the harbor. With its warm multilevel setting on Via Luigi de Maio, Zi Ntonio provides excellent service and an inviting atmosphere.
- we loved the atmosphere and energy from this place - the servers were friendly and helpful. you can tell they enjoy working there. they were humorous and energetic - the food is amazing! so delicious! - we ordered the baby octopus, seafood risotto and white wine mussels - we did find the portions to be quite big. its great for sharing, especially when you go with a large family and have a family-style dinner - we were planning to go back for lunch 2 days later, but they were closed for lunch and only opened for dinner. so be sure to call/check. it showed they were open on Google maps, but it was incorrect.

Dinner at Ristorante Zi Ntonio was not only delicious but full of laughter. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and the staff were super friendly—always joking with us and making the evening memorable. The T-bone steak was perfectly tender and juicy, while the angel hair pasta with shrimp served in a basket was light, flavorful, and truly special. The highlight came with dessert: I asked if the tiramisu was big enough for three, and the waiter cheekily compared it to the size of an Italian sausage. He first served a small piece to tease us, then surprised us with the real full-size portion—such a playful and warm touch. We left full, happy, and with big smiles. Highly recommend for anyone who wants great food and a fun Italian dining experience.

More traditional Italian restaurant. Very good food and fresh pasta. The service is very friendly and the food came really fast. Extensive wine menu. The Tiramisu is homemade style and was definitely the best I have eaten during this trip.

Stop here for lunch earlier in the week as they have a good range of Gluten Free dishes. I had the biggest bowl of Mussels I have ever had - three plate full of empty shells. My wife had the mushroom fettuccine (not GF) and the pasta is made on site. The waiting staff were very knowledgeable and helpful and had a laugh with us. The restaurant itself is set on 2 floors and has a wood interior and some very quirky touches. It really is a brilliant and unique setting

We had a great lunch at Z’Netonio while staying in the Sorrento area. The service was very good and we even got to see the chef making fresh pasta in the kitchen, which was a nice touch. We ordered several pasta dishes with seafood — all were fresh and flavorful. For starters, we had the eggplant parmesan and the zucchini flowers stuffed with arugula. Both were excellent and beautifully prepared. One thing that stood out was being asked at the end if we wanted to leave a tip. That’s not typical in Italy, especially with the cover charge already included, but I understand it’s a very touristy area. Still, it caught me a bit off guard. Overall, the food and service were very good, and we had a pleasant experience. Worth a visit if you’re in Sorrento.

We made a reservation for two people and we had to. The restaurant was very packed. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We were quite hungry and had a Margheriata pizza as an appetizer. The pizza was again not a classic Napoletan pizza but it was very tasty. The base was not too thick and not too thin, the crust was very crispy but not fluffy. For our main course, we had risotto with mussels and gnocchi with pumpkin sauce. The risotto was excellent, the only missing ingredient was a little salt. The gnocchi were superb. We shared a tomato salad and grilled vegetables as a side dish. The price is a little higher, but it's worth it.

After having a disappointing seafood pasta in Rome, we decided to give fish another try in Sorrento. Unfortunately, our second attempt was also a letdown. The fish was undercooked and lacked flavor, and the accompanying salad was equally uninspired. The pizza was decent, but nothing to write home about. It's possible that our palates aren't accustomed to the simple, authentic Italian style of cooking. However, a significant part of the problem was the lack of assistance from the staff. We felt rushed and, with no mobile signal to look up reviews or recommendations, we were left to guess, which resulted in a subpar meal. We were also surprised by the concept of being charged a €3 cover charge per person every time we dined out. It felt more like a penalty than a service fee. To make matters worse, we were charged for tap water—a strange contradiction, especially when taps are left running freely in Rome. This felt like extremely poor customer service. At the end of the meal, we chose not to leave a tip due to our poor experience. The passive-aggressive response we received from the staff felt completely unwarranted. The whole point of a tip is that it's optional, based on the quality of service.

Porta Marina Seafood is a historical site with a rich and fascinating past. It has been the focus of extensive archaeological excavations, revealing ancient limestone beds formed over centuries by the Salso river. The area has seen thorough exploration, uncovering significant landmarks such as the Temple of Peace, comitium, Porta Marina street, and amphitheater.
Porta Marina Seafood is a great spot for fresh fish and seafood. The place is small, cozy, and has a really relaxed vibe, with food that never disappoints. We ordered several dishes and every single one was excellent – full of flavor and freshness. The staff is friendly, and the prices are fair. This is my favorite seafood place – every time I visit my family in Italy, I make sure to come back here.

This is an amazing restaurant. Clearly owned by people who care about quality and their customers. The food was super fresh. The grilled octopus was superb. The tomato salad was even amazing, well dressed and seasoned and simple but delicious. We had clam spaghetti and the clams were super sweet no sand, pasta was perfectly cooked. The spaghetti was generous portion, the server even recommended we not get a 4th order and we shared 3 portions and she was right. We went with a large party of 5 adults 3 kids and one kid was celebrating 5 year old birthday and the owner brought out a giant sparkling candle and all the staff all sang happy birthday to her. It was overall delightful. I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could. The panna cotta and lemon cake desserts were also very fresh and delicious. Note that there is a little parking lot 5 euro/hr prior to the main street. The main street the restaurant is on is restricted from tourists driving (you will get fined).

Owned by a very nice family, great views and ambiance. They have chef recommendations and fresh catches of the day. The seafood pasta was superb best pasta I have had it Italy. Stopped by here for lunch with my parents. Everyone from the maître d’ to the servers were so welcoming and kind. The seafood was so fresh and my dad couldn’t stop gushing about the grilled octopus. The lemon delight dessert was the refreshing cherry on top of a delicious seaside meal. The restaurant has a great view of the marina and is a nice downhill walk from downtown Sorrento.

Beautiful food in a traditional setting. We had a front table outside with a view of Naples. The scallops were cooked nicely and the tuna tartare was well presented with citrus fruit. We came because of the high reviews. It’s good and fresh. The lemon cake is delicious. It is a little far from the center but if you want to drive here, there is parking spaces along the pier. If you crave for fresh seafood, this is definitely a good place to visit.

All I can say is I highly recommend! This place was incredible, and the view at sunset was to die for. The people of Sorrento are already incredible people, and this restaurant shows their tradition in a beautiful way. Fresh caught seafood every day by the family that owns the store, their menu has a beautiful story showing everyone that you will meet throughout the night serving you in one way or another working out on the water catching the fish. We loved both the clam pasta dish and the lobster pasta dish as both of them were perfectly tender and extremely fresh. They also recommended a beautiful white wine to pair with it, and there was quite a few different buskers, entertaining us throughout the evening. We also ran into the biggest lemons I’ve ever seen! The lady let us take one home 😂. Next to the restaurant is a beautiful pier where you can observe the bay of Sorrento With a gorgeous view of Capri Island. Definitely make this a stop if you’re going for dinner and get ready for the hike ⛰️

This is a wonderful restaurant in a lovely position on Marina Grande. We enjoyed a fabulous evening dinner here with superb food and lovely service. The servers were very knowledgeable about all the dishes and the wine list. They were very patient when questioned about the dishes and it was nice to be able to select the fish from the ice box with the fresh catch of the day. It's not the cheapest restaurant in Sorrento, so expect to pay above average but, for us, the food lived up to the extra price tag (and the bottle of wine was relatively reasonable). A great option for a special occasion or a last night on holiday treat. We had starters (savoury cheesecake! & the daily special) and mains (the baccolo and a catch of the day fish), a shared dessert, wine and water for €190 but we didn't begrudge a cent of this as it was good value for the quality and overall experience. Fully recommend.

Absolutely worth the hype. Gorgeous, but not pretentious. Wait staff are hand filleting fresh fish in sweatshirts and jeans. Cocktails were delicious and well priced. We started with a gorgeous white fish lemon dill pasta then had a monkfish with varietal pumpkin and bone marrow. Dessert was lemon sponge with fluffy Italian meringue and, of course, a tiramisu. Love love loved it.

We were able to choose our fish for our anniversary dinner out of an ice chest. Red Snapper This was plated wonderfully by our waiter. I had the Tuna roll. Ristorante Bagni Sant'Anna is a charming restaurant located on the seafront in Marina Grande, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Naples. The establishment includes a bar, restaurant, and solarium where guests can enjoy aperitifs, dinner, and even access to the beach club. The menu focuses on fish-based specialties prepared with carefully selected local ingredients. In the evening, the magical sea views are enhanced by enchanting lights and a lively atmosphere.
I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna during a recent trip to Sorrento, and the experience was nothing short of magical. Set directly on the water’s edge, the restaurant offers breathtaking views of the sea – and as the sun began to set, we found ourselves dining against the most spectacular golden backdrop. It was one of those moments where the setting alone already felt special. The food was equally impressive. We began with a beautifully grilled fish – light, clean in flavour, and not in the least bit dry. The squid was another highlight: perfectly tender and full of smoky, chargrilled character. The seafood pasta was truly memorable, with wonderfully chewy noodles and a rich, savoury sauce that brought everything together. For dessert, we enjoyed a selection of canelé, tiramisu, and lemon cake – all delicious in their own right and a perfect way to end the meal. Each sweet offered a different texture and flavour, yet all were executed with finesse. What truly made the evening unforgettable, however, was the arrival of an elderly gentleman with a guitar just as the sun touched the horizon. He began to play O Sole Mio and other classics, and suddenly the entire atmosphere shifted – as if we had been transported into a romantic film. It was spontaneous, heartfelt, and incredibly moving. The only regret I have is not being able to leave a tip for the musician, as I didn’t have any cash on me – something I truly felt sorry for. In every way, this was a flawless dining experience – from the food to the view to the atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna to anyone visiting Sorrento. It’s the kind of place that lingers in your memory long after the sun has set.

The restaurant is literally located on the water on a floating dock. It is a no frills restaurant that does seafood right. My guess is everything we ate was swimming in the sea earlier in the day. We had fried calamari as an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked. Served with fries, which was a bit odd, but no biggie. We had cheese ravioli for Primi. Again, perfectly cooked with a nice light tomato ragu. For secondi we went with a special they offered us. It was a whole sea bass with broccoli and small potatoes. Light butter lemon dressing. Perfectly cooked and served tableside by the waiter who plucked it clean onto our plates with the traditional for and spoon technique. Complementary Limoncello at the end of the meal. Two rounds. Service was impeccable. So why not five stars? It was the bill. We were surprised by the price of the fish. It doesn't matter what it was. I would just ask the server if you are offered a special what is the cost. We have had great meals in Sorrento for about 25% less. This was not fine dining. We were careless and got burned. Note: The map picture. Red pin for restaurant and blue dot for our table. It was still a wonderful night, and yes, we would absolutely go back.

Bagni SantAnna is hands down one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. It has everything you could want in a beach day. One side has a great restaurant, and the other is full of super comfortable loungers with umbrellas where you can lay out and totally relax. The best part? They bring food and drinks right to you while you’re lounging, no need to move a muscle. The service is amazing, and everyone who works there is so friendly and hardworking. Alessandro, especially, is the sweetest. He made such an effort to get to know all of us and made every day feel special. I’m seriously going to miss him. The music is always great, the vibe is super laid-back, and the whole place just feels good. If I could go to Bagni SantAnna every day, I would. Already counting down the days until I can come back. ❤️Olivia

At first you’ll be approached by the owner Francos flamboyant energy which will have you questioning whether this restaurant is more show than tell. He welcomes you with lots of energy to a view from the pier that is incredible…. but from my experience, that combination is usually the perfect recipe for an overpriced restaurant that looks good but doesn’t satisfy the taste pallet. I will admit that my assumption was invalid. For once a restaurant has good looks and an incredible personality… This must be what love is. Ristorante Bagni Sant’Anna has the best pasta i have ever tried. I’ve tried a lot of pasta…. Ravioli and sea bass were incredible, appetizers did not disappoint but the Tagliolini Di Pasta Porcini (mushroom truffle pasta) BLEW ME AWAY. If you’re in Serrento, you have to try this place or you’ll be missing out on an incredible experience and an incredible meal!

Location was amazing...right on the water. That was probably the only thing nice about the place. Food portions were small and taste was bland. My husband and I had the specials that were offered but they didn't disclose the price ahead of time and we were shocked when we got the bill. Very expensive. They also charged for an additional bread basket that we requested. You can't beat the sunset though, and that's what you are paying for. I'd go to a thousand other restaurant choices in Sorrento before trying this place. The hype on Instagram is not worth the lack of quality food and portion sizes.

We LOVED this restaurant. I ordered one of the specials which was a yellow tomato spaghetti with lobster. The lobster helping was incredibly generous and it was fresh out of the sea. For dessert we had the lemon mousse and limoncello. To die for! Best meal we’ve had in our week and a day in Italy. To top it off, the owner/manager (I’m not sure which role he had) was incredibly kind. Shook our hands upon arrival and he also kindly greeted us as we were leaving. The view is breathtaking too!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Sorrento, I Giardini di Cataldo is a delightful family-run lemon grove that invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of organic citrus products. Here, you can savor an array of homemade delights such as zesty lemon marmalade, refreshing sorbetto, and traditional limoncello. The experience is enriched by engaging stories from Luigi about the unique process behind crafting authentic limoncello using only the peel—an eye-opening revelation for many!
This is the magical place I discovered cantaloupe gelato and never looked back. Now I hunt for this flavor everywhere. I find it rarely and think of it often. This place is cute and I so appreciate the little bit of the lemon grove that’s public (you can see more and get a tour with a ticket)! FYI there are non-alcoholic options too, so something for everyone, and you can buy lemon flavored pasta and candy and many other things.

Based on the many great reviews, especially for the lemon ice cream, I got curious and decided to try a small cup of the lemon sorbet. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment for me. There was only a hint of lemon flavor, and the rest was just pure sugar. It was so sweet that it literally burned in my throat and hurt my teeth. Since I haven't consumed added sugar for over 1.5 years, I am very sensitive to sweetness, and almost everything is far too sweet for my taste. So, it might be that for most people, this is a good balance. However, that doesn't change the fact that it had almost no lemon taste, which was the main reason I got the lemon sorbet in the first place. I tried two small spoonfuls and threw the rest away. A wasted 3 Euros, but at least I opted for the smallest cup.

Cute spot with lots of charm. Delicious lemoncello and lemon sorbet. We also experienced the cranky lady. No smile, no eye contact. She should not be in a customer facing job. Takes away from the experience. Younger staff very sweet and helpful.

We first experienced I Giardini Di Cataldo on a Food Tour (https://www.sorrentofoodtours.com) where we toured the lemon grove, learned how limoncello is produced in their factory on site and tasted several liquors. Our tour guide, Tamara took us all over the city tasting food/drink and this was certainly the highlight. Secondly, we did a cooking class in the garden with Sammy's Food Cooking School (this was also booked via https://www.sorrentofoodtours.com/). Our guide/translator was Alessandro and the chef was Sammy. It was magical preparing a three course meal inside the oasis of the lemon grove. All the food was prepped before we arrived and we returned with recipes we plan to attempt at home. Alessandro and Sammy were so much fun to cook with and learn from - they have great senses of humor and made everything feel extremely special and relaxed. The food was simply delicious. Most of all, the experience was intimate and authentic.

A definite highlight of our trip to Sorrento was the lemon tour at I Giardini di Cataldo! The property has a stunning lemon garden, and we were lucky enough to get a fantastic tour led by Rosa. Rosa was an absolute gem!! truly the best guide we could have asked for. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the lemon groves and their history but also wonderfully humorous, keeping us laughing throughout the tour. She even went the extra mile, offering to take our pictures in the garden, creating some lovely memories for us. The tour ended in a tasting of the lemon products, where Rosa explained each item. Of course, no visit would be complete without a stop at their store right by front, and we made sure to pick up some limoncello to bring a taste of Sorrento home with us. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sorrento 🤩

What a nice surprise to walk along a Sorento street near our Hotel and see this place. Everything lemon is here, as well as a little lemon orchard at the back. Nice and cozy and for me as an Aussie, the first time in Italy I got a decent cupperchino and with chocolate sprinkles on top. I was impressed.

This is an Amazing property. Host is fantabulous. As they say the best for the last. We stayed here for 5 days as final destination of our 18 days trip in Europe. The best property where we had a great experience in sorrento. An active lemon garden maintained by the family in the middle of the city. Amazing host who will ensure you have the best time in Sorrento-very friendly, approachable and always available to guide. I have not come across a host like her in more than decade of travelling to Europe .. God bless her and her wonderful family. You have our heart from India 🇮🇳

This shop is listed on Google as a "Liquor Store" but it's definitely not! It's a gelato shop with fun lemon treats and an amazing lemon garden in the back. The lemon sorbet (not sure that's what it's called) was delicious and eating it in the garden filled with lemon trees sweetened the experience.

I had a grilled squid plate, surprisingly it was really fresh!! ;) the seasoning was too bland, i need to add more salt but because the squid was so fresh, which makes its taste good. I would say i had a good dinner. Oh and the Tiramisu was great!! A layer of coffee ice cream, then perfectly coffee soaked lady finger and topped with mascarpone cream + cocoa powder.

Fine dining restaurant that pretenda to be fine dining but at the end offers just a set menu with no creativity. Food is good but not exceptional and service is good but not refined. The 2 tasting menus have nothing really creative or elaborated about it like others we have tried around in Italy. The presentation if the food is decent but not creative or stunningly visual.

This is best restaurant I’ve been too!!! I had the best meal here!!!!! Their gnocchi is stunningly amazing, their seafood pasta was delicious, along with their eggplant dish and finally their tiramisu!!!! I felt like my Italian grandmother cooked her food with love and flavor right in the kitchen. Ugh the gnocchi lives rent free in my mind. The place is very welcoming with a friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place 100 percent!

Me and my girlfriends we came to this place because it opens until late night and when every other restaurant had closed. we came here as a last resort, but it ended up being the best food and the best highlight of our entire trip. The food is amazing. The tiramisu is extraordinary, out of this world good. The coffee is equally amazing and the Service just is the cherry on top. Loved it and would definitely recommend anybody that visits Sorrento to not miss this spot.

Nestled in the charming village of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, Lo Stuzzichino stands out as a culinary gem on the Sorrento Peninsula. This family-run osteria, led by the talented father-son duo Paolo and Mimmo De Gregorio, has been delighting diners for over 30 years with its inventive dishes crafted from carefully sourced ingredients.
My absolute favorite dining experience during my trip to Italy was at Lo Stuzzichino! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and love of this family-owned and operated restaurant. The atmosphere is lively, upbeat, and so welcoming. We celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday here, and the staff made her the absolute star of the night. Mimmo, the owner and chef, personally came over to greet us, checked in several times, and at the end of our meal brought out a birthday cake while leading the entire restaurant in singing “Happy Birthday.” He even gave every diner a complimentary lemon drop shot to join in on the celebration! It was such a beautiful, unforgettable moment. The food was equally amazing. We each started with a glass of white wine, fresh caprese, grilled octopus, and the most incredible spaghetti and meatballs. I tried this dish at several restaurants during my trip, and without question, this was the best. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Lo Stuzzichino is the kind of place that makes you feel like family, and I cannot wait to return. Truly a must-visit in Santa Agata.

Had high hopes for this restaurant as the reviews were really positive. Made a reservation for 8:15pm and stood at the entrance for a long timescale despite booking. Plenty of colleagues running around but nobody acknowledged us - eventually acknowledged and the table needed setting which is normal, left standing up and no one was setting the table so continued to wait - eventually I sat down at the table and waited for it to be set. Food was lovely and the drinks were nice - cheesecake was delicious. Just a shame about the poor service experience at the start.

The food was delicious! Just the bill was weird in the end. Different prices for the same 0.5L house wine. And a sea bream that was the catch of the day. 8€ per pound, but cavities calculated like 8€/100gr. The sea bream filet dish in the menu was 22€ and the whole fish (just a normal size - I allow me to judge, since I'm eating this at home every serving week) for two was 65€ in the end.

We greatly enjoyed our lunch in Stuzzichino. Everything from the general vibe to service and food quality and presentation were excellent! The place is a family business with 3 generations of the family are being actively involved in running the place. The owners genuinely enjoy their job and interaction with people making the visit here a very personal and authentic experience. We tried several antipasti dishes and one main dish - all were excellent. The waiter was attentive to our needs, the food was served quickly and arranged for us to share as we requested. The owner stopped by to say hello and to send greetings to the host of our bed and breakfast who gave us the recommendation about this restaurant. It felt very personal and welcoming! Thank you!

I’d like to share with you a little gem near Sorrento called Sant’Agata, home to the amazing restaurant Lo Stuzzichino. If you’re looking for outstanding food, this is the place to go. We made a reservation through our hotel, and Alessandro kindly drove us there and back – such a warm and wonderful person. We ordered ravioli, pasta, grilled beef, tiramisu, and cheesecake. Every course was fantastic – the flavors were simply unbelievable. At the end of the meal, we had the pleasure of meeting the heart of the restaurant: Mimo, the great chef. He is such a kind person, always striving to give his guests the very best. The atmosphere was delightful, and the whole team – from the waiters to the chef – made the experience truly special. I am absolutely certain I’ll be returning to this restaurant. Gratzie mille to Mimo, Alessandro, and the entire team for an unforgettable experience and incredible food. 🫶🏽

That was my very first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant, and I have to say, I've never tasted food this extraordinary in my life! The highlight was hearing the owner share the heartwarming story of how the restaurant began back in 1989 with his parents, and now he has taken over. He was incredibly welcoming, and the food was both sophisticated and bursting with flavor, letting you savor every single ingredient. The service was outstanding, and the three staff members were so much fun, making us feel right at home. The music added to the delightful atmosphere, and we will absolutely recommend this place to everyone so they can enjoy it as much as we did!

🍨 Absolutely delicious gelato! Raki in Sorrento is a must-visit for any gelato lover! The flavors are rich, natural, and incredibly fresh. You can really taste the quality ingredients in every bite. I tried the pistachio and milk flavors – both were amazing, especially the pistachio, which was so creamy and full of real nut flavor. 🌰🍫 The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they’re happy to let you try a flavor before you choose. The shop itself is charming and always buzzing with happy customers. Don’t miss this place if you’re in town 🇮🇹🍦💛

Long line that definitely goes fast. The staff was a little quick with us bc they each have a certain task to do. So when you just get there the only think you order is how many scoops. Not what kind you want. Then you take your receipt to the server who’ll scoop for you what you want. That’s it. It was very cheep and not expensive at all. I have had better tasting but it was worth the price and good to try

The ricotta cheese, walnut, honey gelato was fantastic! Creamy with slight undertones of the honey and walnuts. The Passionfruit/Tangerine was okay, but a bit too sweet for my liking.

If you like trying something different, this is the place. Wonderful ice creams due to the rarity of flavours. I had ricotta with walnuts and figs with almond and bay leaf. The ricotta was excellent with lovely roasted walnuts as small nibs. The figs tasted of intense fig with bits of the seeds for texture. Queues were not long and service was quick and efficient. Also reasonable priced.

Ristorante L’Abate – Sorrento There are meals you eat, and then there are meals you remember — and Ristorante L’Abate belongs to the latter. Nestled in the heart of Sorrento, this restaurant hums with soul, scent, and laughter. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were met not as guests, but as old friends returning home. Aldo and Gaston, our gracious waiters, moved through the dining room like a perfectly tuned duet — every plate delivered with care & every smile genuine. Overseeing it all was Mr. Faldo, the director, whose dry, distinguished charm added a touch of theatre to the evening. We were lucky to find a table without a reservation, a small miracle at the close of the autumn season — a reminder that fortune favours the hungry. Each dish was a love letter to Italy: rich, authentic, and generous in both flavour and portion. The air carried the warmth of good company, the murmur of conversation, and the clink of glasses toasting to life. Ristorante L’Abate isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience! Where passion simmers in every sauce and hospitality lingers long after the last bite. Sorrento shines a little brighter because of it.

Stopped here for dinner one night mostly because it was one of the only places open at 6pm & we were too tired to wait anywhere else! It was a good find, right on the corner of a square outside the Main Street which made it seem quieter. I got gnocchi & my husband got lasagna—both were delicious!! We were seated right next to their DJ outside, however, and of course there was a speaker right behind us so we had to speak a lot louder to each other to be heard. But it was still a good dinner—staff was very nice & helpful with suggestions!

A well-located restaurant with good dishes. My dish (veal piccata) was OK but I would expect something more "worked and filled" than just 3 pieces of meat. Quite busy during the rush time, it will be better to book in advance or come the earliest if you want to try without booking. The staff felt nice but I felt some "pressure" to follow the right amount of order (appetizers, dishes, dessert, wines..), but TBH, it is the same in every restaurant ! The terrace is cool with a dynamic surrounding, and soft live music in the background. However, I really liked their Albate Tiramisu! I would still recommend, if you are not on the budget! 😉

Got off the ferry from Almafi & the lift to the city center was too long so we voyaged by foot. Upon reaching the top, this place caught our eye after only being able to walk a short distance more. Waiters were friendly & older one was most social. Our food was DELICIOUS! We both cleaned our plates dry. Gnnocchi was cooked on point & loved the sauce! I asked for Parmesan & the waiter agreed with me - life is cheese ❤️. Husband enjoyed his linguine with calamari & shrimp. Side of grilled veggies had good crunch and was a nice addition to the pastas. I’m no wine connoisseur so idk names to prices. I was a little bummed that a glass of Chianti was €16 but when in Sorrento right? We definitely did not have room for desert. Eating outside was a pleasant experience, noisy enough to feel like I’m eating dinner outside in Italy, but not loud enough to not hear our table conversation. The waiter did prompt that they did not charge a service fee- I knew what that meant & had already intended to tip anyway. Im not mad at yeh hustle. When tourists eat in Sorrento right?

By far the best food we’ve had in Italy and in our lives. We’re pretty tough food critics so a lot of food is hard to beat especially in Europe, but this was absolutely incredible (we live in NY for reference). Everything was so fresh and so light. Cafè Latino ristorante pizzeria lounge bar in Sorrento offers a magical dining experience in an atmospheric garden adorned with fairy lights and lemon trees. The menu features Mediterranean dishes, oven-baked pizzas, freshly caught seafood, and delectable pasta dishes paired with locally produced wines. This establishment is part cocktail bar and part pizzeria, making it the perfect spot for a complete evening of dining and drinks.
Set in a beautifully landscaped garden of lemons and flower, the restaurant is a pleasant surprise. From the unassuming "pizzaria" sign at the sidewalk entrance, I would have never guessed at the romantic setting. The menu is much more extensive than just pizza, but there is pizza offered on the menu. I chose to order the ravioli and my husband order the steak. Both were great choices. The servers were fun to interact with and food was served quickly.

My partner and I both got food poisoning from eating here and it nearly prevented us from being able to travel to the Amalfi Coast the following day. Now that we have eaten at multiple restaurants in Sorrento, the food here was nowhere near the quality of what you would expect - especially in comparison to the other places in town. We ordered the seafood appetizer and we could tell it wasn’t fresh so we didn’t finish it. The sauce for my pasta was tasty but the prawns had a weird texture - almost like they were formed from mashed potatoes or something. I didn’t finish eating that either. We did notice a disclaimer on the menu that stated, depending on season, some foods are cooked from frozen, but I didn’t imagine that would be applicable during the summer months where seafood and produce is in abundance here. We should have left upon reading that. The service was decent, with one of our wait staff in particular being friendlier than the rest. However, when we were escorted in to our table, we were told there were no seats remaining in the prime areas so we were put at a table in the corner near the bar and bathrooms. This would have been okay if it truly was the only seat remaining, but when I saw the host seat Italian guests in the gazebo, I felt a little annoyed - especially because the guests were in line just behind us and they too were walk-in guests without reservations. The ambience is really pretty. From the outside, bustle, you wouldn’t imagine that you would be seated in a quiet courtyard surrounded by gardens and lemon trees. I just would have loved a different table to better enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, I would not recommend this place for the food experience, there are much better places in town. If you want to be in the atmosphere, I would suggest checking it out for a cocktail or glass of wine.

This might just be the best pizza in Sorrento! With so many choices on the menu, you really can’t go wrong. From the outside, the place looks small, but once inside you’ll find a beautiful, spacious restaurant, complete with areas where you can dine under lemon trees. The pizza was outstanding (we stuck with that, though the menu offers plenty of other options). Highly recommend!

What a cool restaurant! Backs on an area surrounded by hotels and buildings with amazing gardens and flowers. The food was excellent, MANY gluten free options. Nunzio and Ricardo were our servers and both awesome! Located right in the heart of sorrento. Prices were fair for a touristy spot. Good selection of pasta pizza seafood and meat entrees.

What an incredible restaurant. Walk-ins only, no reservations. The queue moved really quickly. The atmosphere is out of this world! Lemon trees, fairy lights and lovely background music. I cannot begin to compliment how delicious the food was! Everything tastes incredible and you just know that they use locally sourced fresh ingredients! Their gluten free options were incredible! Gluten free pasta, pizzas, crispy risotto and lovely warmed bread to start 😌 Extremely good value for the quality of food and overall atmosphere ☺️
Grace O — Google review
Our favourite meal and experience in Sorrento. They had a separate gluten free menu and took the time to explain about cross contamination of my partners side dishes if I chose to have some of them. The absolute best GF seafood pasta and steak! Serene atmosphere away from the hussle and bustle despite being located on the Main Street. Wish we had time to go back!

Everything was good. I had home made gnocchi, that was excellent, but the real treasure here was the sea food risotto that my wife had. Really amazing risotto. The tiramisu could be better, if they keep it simple, the first cream with egg I found in this area was amazing, but they add some chocolate chips in the tiramisu that I didn’t enjoyed that much. Also the lady’s fingers were a little bit too soft, too much sirup. The interior court is really nice.

We really loved the setup of this place. It's so easy to miss but you won't be disappointed if you find it. It was really nice with several seating sections that were all lovely. We got there at 10:30pm and were still able to order a full meal as they close at 12. We got the risotto and the steak & peppers. Both were very good.

Nestled in the heart of Sorrento, A'Marenna - Sorrento Bakery & Bistrot is a delightful gem run by two spirited local women. This charming bakery and bistro boasts a rustic ambiance that invites you to unwind while savoring their generously filled panini crafted from fresh ingredients, served on ciabatta or panuozzo pizza-dough bread. The vibrant atmosphere is enhanced by lively music and singing from the owners, creating an enjoyable dining experience.
Without a doubt the most incredible sandwich I have ever eaten in my entire life! 🤩 I ordered through the app and would highly recommend doing this if you're eager to get a sandwich at lunchtime and skip the queues.😌 otherwise the line will take between 30-60 mins.. although it's most definitely worth the wait! The owners are the most fabulous ladies 😍 they burst into song when I went in to collect my sandwich! A lovely surprise on my birthday 🙈😄 This is one place that you cannot miss if visiting Sorrento! I'll dream about this sandwich for a long time to come ❤️

The best hot sandwiches you’re ever going to eat! Full of filling and flavour! Freshly made to order. Friendly service and fun atmosphere. We made it just ahead of the lunchtime queue, still a little wait but well worth it!

Brest sandwich ever, super fresh and really good ingredients. The owners are very welcoming and you can tell that they love what they do. Also the atmosphere is really cool, you can eat there or take away. Definitely a must visit if you are staying in Sorrento or near.

A small but lovely place! The paninis are absolutely amazing — with different types of bread, options for every taste (including vegan ones), and great ingredients. We’ve eaten here during our trip around Naples, and these were the best sandwiches of the whole trip. You can eat at the counter or on the small tables outside, and they don’t charge the cover fee, which is rare in Italy. The service is fast, the staff is super friendly and always smiling, and the nice music makes the atmosphere perfect. 100% recommended for a quick and delicious meal while visiting Sorrento.

Plain and simple best sandwich ive had in a long time. My wife and i split the Antonio it was excellent. I have two minor complaints 1) sandwich took forever but thats because how busy it is and def worth wait 2) the shop is small To cancel these small complaints Drinks are $5 euro and $6 euro for aperol spritz and limoncello spritz so you can have a nice cheap drink while waiting also the two woman making the sandwiches were so nice and made it fun as they dance and sing along while we Wait it was fun and cute atmosphere

beautiful little sandwich shop, with lots of options.... The girls working are very helpful, cheerful and give the place a special charm. the prices for this kind of product are decent, and definitely great value for money... And a special experience is when the music starts.... we will definitely come back here...

I was only in Sorrento for 3 days and came here 2x - it’s that good. Best sandwich I’ve ever had and I went to all the popular spots in Rome and Florence. #5 was my favorite but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Every single person there walked out saying “that was the best sandwich of my life” - I’m not exaggerating. I’m traveling solo and the ladies made me feel like family. Remembered me and my order when I went back the vibe there is just so positive and upbeat. You cannot miss this place when in Sorrento and you have to go more than once.

Outstanding little restaurant serving the most amazing toasted sandwiches and filled ciabattas. Two lovely ladies own and run this wonderful cafe and one broke into song while making the sandwiches. Such a delightful happy place to have a delicious lunch. The limoncello spritz is to die for 😆

Chantecler's Trattoria is situated in the heart of Sorrento, amidst a street steeped in medieval and Renaissance history. Housed within a 15th-century patrician villa, the restaurant still retains many original features, offering visitors a unique dining experience. Whether stopping by for a quick lunch or indulging in traditional Neapolitan cuisine after exploring the wonders of the Sorrento peninsula, Chantecler's provides a delightful blend of history and authentic flavors.
We just happened to come upon this little gem while in Sorrento. It's tucked away in an alley, away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, however, don't be surprised if you wait a little bit to get seated...but it's worth the wait! The food is flavorful and portions are generous. The waitress/waiters are kind and helpful about the menu. We ended up eating here two times during our three night stay we enjoyed it so much!

Beautiful family run restaurant. We were lucky to get a table for 2 as it was a Saturday night. The whole time we were sitting down, there was a queue outside of people trying to get tables. Food was beautiful, incredibly cheap compared to the other high profile restaurants in Sorrento and the quality and quantity were definitely better! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Kyle M — Google review
Excellent experience here today. We ordered the fried anchovies and king prawns as an appetiser, and the seafood handmade pasta for our mains. The food was delicious!! It was fresh and full of flavour, and the white wine we had was a perfect pairing with our food. Service was great, the seating / atmosphere was perfect, I really felt the Italian vibe, the culture, the people, it was just perfect. The complimentary bread, olive oil/chilli oil and fresh chilli’s were also very yum! Thank you for having us we will definitely be back :)
Sandra H — Google review
Very disappointing. The food took too long to arrive, and when it finally came it was cold, bland, and tiny portions. The seafood pasta had only mussels and clams, and the risotto portion was barely a spoonful, the squid was tasteless and chewy ! We returned 3 dishes yet paid almost full price!! Not worth it.
Lara O — Google review
Had all my lunches and dinners here while in Sorrento. Lovely little family owned place with top notch food. I essentially ordered whatever the staff recommended. Everything was fab.
Anish T — Google review
This spot is tucked away on a back street, but is well known and rightfully well loved! After reading the reviews, we had to try it for ourselves. The mozzarella and prosciutto were fresh, and the peppered mussels were simple but tasty. We enjoyed the Lasagna (Sorrento Style) and the Scialatielli with Porcini Mushrooms and Smoked Cheese. Both pastas were delicious and full of flavour. It truly felt like a home cooked, family meal—extremely impressed with the flavours and fresh ingredients. We didn’t have a reservation but sat on their lovely street terrace. It got extremely busy once we sat down, so we found that service was quite slow (dinner rush). The staff were still friendly and welcoming but seemed overwhelmed; we weren’t in a rush, so this wasn’t the end of the world. We would recommend this family-run place for anyone looking for authentic, delicious Neapolitan cuisine.

Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are amazing – super friendly and really attentive. Every single dish we had was delicious. The stuffed courgette flowers were incredible, and the mixed seafood platter was so fresh. One of our favourite meals in Sorrento. Highly recommend!
Gaelle S — Google review
The food was amazing. My family all had pasta dishes, my wife also had the catch of the day which was sea bass. Some of the best food we had in Sorrento for sure and nowhere near as expensive as other places. We had booked a table through our hotel, which was good as there was a queue forming at around 8pm. We were sat on a table outside on the narrow street but, there were a few e-bikes flying past which kind of took the magic away a bit.

Good service and good food at this trattoria. The risotto seafood was excellent. Raviolis and fish also good. Lemon cake is a good alternative to tiramisu if you want some change. You feel comfortable and warm inside (February is cold here).

Our local guide suggested this restaurant for seafood. We ordered assorted fresh fish, which was amazing. They showed us the fresh seafood before preparing it. Fish was very fresh and delicious. The waiter was very nice, he helped us with the menu and what to pair with our food. The price was very reasonable for seafood. At the end of our meal they brought us complementary lemonchello. They were very nice and friendly . I will definitely be back before I go home, I want to try seafood pasta next.

May, 2nd in 2025 we have returned to this Ristorante which is located at almost the end of Sorrento. Since 3 years the ownership has changed. You can sit outside at the noisy street or inside what we have preferred. At Lunch-time the Restaurant was empty. We have asked for fresh fish ( Catch of the day). We have received the white fish. (20€ per person). In addition we ordered potatoes (4€) and mixed Vegetables (6€). Together with a bottle of Mineralwater we have paid 59 €. Hand written was: " SERVICE IS NOT INCLUDED ". Finally I can recommend this Restaurant.

If you are tourist do not even step in this restaurant!! Service was terrible servers made us feel so awkward ! We visited twice while in Sorrento and would have gone again if our holiday had been longer. There's a lot of good restaurants in the area but La Fenice has great food, great service and is reasonably priced. Gluten-free options are available, but it might be best to telephone first if you want the pizza as the gluten-free dough is in demand.

Don’t bother stopping here. As a Celiac, I came as it was listed on AIC. Although I’m happy to have had GF options (calamari and pizza), the pizza was terrible. The crust was hard as a rock and I couldn’t cut it with a fork and knife. The calamari was also frozen, not fresh. The staff was not friendly and and the street traffic is very noisy. It seemed like they expected a tip on top from the note they left on the receipt. Would definitely not return and wish we went somewhere else for our day in Sorrento.

The Garden da Gennaro is a charming restaurant located in the historic center of Sorrento, offering traditional Sorrentine and Neapolitan cuisine. The chef, Salvatore Formisano, draws inspiration from Campania's culinary traditions while incorporating fresh catches and market availability into the menu. Diners can enjoy classic dishes like Sorrentine gnocchi and fried fish, as well as more innovative options such as risotto with fish and citrus fruits.
The staff were very nice and had an enjoyable dinner we came twice during our stay. One of us had dietary restrictions but they were willing to accommodate us. The owner (lady) was very nice along with other staff. She was very helpful to recommend wines from all the different types of wine available in the store. Also helped me pick a wine to bring home as well.

Truffle pasta was very good and the pizza was one of the better ones we have had on our trip, they do not allow sharing of pizza kinda an odd rule but whatever. Pizza had a good undercarriage and decent crust. Overall the pizza was a 7.7/10 and pasta was a similar rating.

We discovered Il Giardino di Gennaro through friends we met during a tour. They had eaten there twice during their week in Sorrento and were already planning a third visit. We almost didn’t go because of the low TripAdvisor ratings, but I’m very glad we did. It turned out to be our favorite restaurant in Sorrento and easily the best value for the quality of food and experience. We ended up eating there twice during our one week stay, which is rare for us. When we travel, we try to sample as much of the regional gastronomy as possible and usually avoid repeating restaurants. Il Giardino di Gennaro was the clear exception because it was that good. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially on the upper terrace where herbs lightly scent the air. The staff are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. Gennaro, the owner, was a gracious host who personally helped us select excellent wine pairings that perfectly complemented each meal. During our week in Sorrento we also tried several highly rated places, including a two star Michelin restaurant in the city and another with one star nearby, yet this was the meal we remembered most. The food, service, and price were exceptional. What we ordered (over two nights): • Raw oysters, briny, fresh, and delicious • Beef carpaccio, beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned • Fried calamari, light and crisp • Mare Nostrum seafood salad, fresh, bright, and delicately balanced • Bistecca alla Fiorentina, ordered medium rare and served exactly as we wanted, carved at the table by Gennaro himself • Sea bass baked in a salt crust, tender, fresh, and full of flavor • Homemade millefeuille and lemon delight, both superb and among the best desserts we had in Italy Every detail reflected pride and care, from the ingredients to the presentation to the genuine hospitality. For anyone visiting Sorrento, do not let the TripAdvisor ratings mislead you. Il Giardino di Gennaro is a gem. Go, enjoy, and you will see why it became our favorite restaurant for the price.

The Garden - A Hidden Treasure in Sorrento Centre We found this treasure 20 years ago and, still today we are getting surprised by the quality of the food/wine and the hospitality of the staff. You can enter the restaurant via the wine-bar on the main-street (Corso Italia) or via the stairs in the alley. If you're wondering why you should consider choosing to eat meat while in a region renowned for its fresh fish, let me share my experience at The Garden. This restaurant is celebrated for its high quality dry-aged meat, making it a destination worth visiting. Plus, it offers a great opportunity to enjoy a beautiful full-bodied Aglianico wine. For those who still want a taste of the sea, there are plenty of delightful antipasti dishes featuring fish, allowing diners to enjoy the best of both worlds. To start our dinner, we opted for the “crudo” plate, which featured a lovely variety of fresh fish, paired with a tempura-style cod. It was a perfect appetizer that set the tone for the meal ahead. We also asked for the Focaccia with Pomodorino, a mandatory side dish at The Garden that complements any meal beautifully. The highlight of our dinner was the stunning steak Florentine, which Gennaro himself expertly sliced for us. Although it was served with three sauces, I found that all it really needed was a sprinkle of fresh pepper and a few Maldon salt flakes to highlight its incredible flavor. Overall, it was another exceptional food and wine experience at The Garden, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit, hopefully with the introduction of “Novello 2025.” Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the culinary delights of Sorrento!

If you're on the hunt for a refreshing twist on Italian cuisine, Accènto Restaurant in Sorrento is your go-to destination. This modern eatery boasts a sleek design that perfectly complements its focus on local ingredients, transforming them into culinary delights that are sure to impress. After exploring the nearby Sorrento Foundation, take a moment to unwind at this charming spot where you can indulge in delectable dishes like salmon, spaghetti with clams, and grilled prawns.
Stanley Tucci was spot on! Spaghetti alla Nerano is truly life-changing! We had our first taste of this dish at Accènto, and wow, it was incredible! The Pistacchio e Vongole pasta was also amazing! Both pasta dishes were cooked to perfection, al dente. The Polpo appetizer was incredible with the pumpkin purée. It was a combination I wouldn’t have thought of, but it was delicious. The service was amazing and perfectly attentive (but not too attentive). I would highly recommend visiting Accènto, when you are visiting Sorrento!
Zac C — Google review
It was a decent meal. I personally have a strong dislike for small portions of food. And Accento’s portions were medium, just enough for you to enjoy but not enough for you to fill up. Had the octopus for starter. I don’t think the pumpkin puree works well in the dish. The charcoal/smokiness of the octopus requires the company of something sour/fresh. The mildly sweet pumpkin didn’t do it for me. The squid ink gnocchi was delicious but the portion was just not enough for me. The capresse cake was a bit dry. Service was great.

We had a delicious dinner here our first night in Sorrento. It is a fancier restaurant, slightly towards the higher end in presentation and prices, but the pasta and appetizer we ordered to share were also delicious. We booked an earlier time for dinner so it wasn't crowded when we arrived. Service was good and we did not wait have to wait long for our food. Overall we had a nice dining experience here.

Accento deserves a Michelin Star! I'd take an international flight or a cross-country train ride just to eat at this amazing restaurant. I first discovered Accento 2 1/2 years ago on a trip with friends. The owner, Lucca, and Francesca treated us like family. They even gave us our favorite bottle of wine as a parting gift on our last night in Sorrento. Years later, I returned with my own family. They treated my sons kindly, and the food continues to be Michelin Star quality. The wine list is superb, the presentation is artistic, and the ambiance perfect. Don't miss Accento. It will be the best reservation you make during your Italian adventure.

Ravioli is very good. It has a nice smoky flavor to it. The fried zucchini spaghetti lacks flavor. It is cooked well but needs additional seasoning. The staff did a nice job of getting you bread and is very pleasant.

One of the best dining experiences in Sorrento. The cod Croquettes is surprisingly nice. Almost like a crab cake but use cod instead. The tagliatelle with red prawn is also amazing. The pasta is perfectly al dente. We choose tuna and lamb rack for the main courses. I must admit this is probably the best sesame tuna I’ve had. The lamb is also very juicy and tender. We opened a bottle of local white wine which also goes very well with the seafood. Finished with a shot of nocino and limoncello. After all, a wonderful dining experience, especially if you could have a table outdoors watching the change of color of the street in the evening.

We ate here for dinner one evening. I was not impressed. It felt like a tourist trap. I got the ravioli, and it tasted like every other basic ravioli I’ve had in the states. I was expecting a higher quality of food for the price. My husband got the carbonara, and he said it was the saltiest pasta dish he ever had. I would not go back or recommend.

We ate a lot of pizza in Sorrento and this was the best!! So good we went back on our final day as we had to have some more! 😍 This restaurant sits a little away from the tourist traps (e.g. Frankies) and each time we found a table pretty quickly. Ristorante Vela Bianca Sorrento offers a modern dining experience with multiple rooms, blue accents, and outdoor seating. Guests praise the attentive service and delicious seafood dishes, such as warm squid salad, seafood pastas, prosciutto and melon appetizer, and seafood white pizza. The restaurant is known for serving the best spaghetti alla vongole in Sorrento and can accommodate gluten-free requirements.
We were here for a private lunch and short gnocchi-making class, but the food and hospitable service made our entire trip! We had a large set of courses but the standouts were definitely the gnocchi and roast beef. We helped make some of the gnocchi (the staff claims it was all us, but I have my doubts), and the gnocchi had a perfect ratio of potato and flour so that it still tasted mostly of potato with a soft, melt in your mouth texture. The tomato sauce was perfect as well, slight texture and just light enough with a deep flavor in it. The roast beef was fresh and well cooked, with a great sauce to pair with it. The homemade pasta definitely is a standout, and we will be back on our own!

An Unforgettable Dining Experience We had an absolutely wonderful evening at this restaurant. The food was exceptional—beautifully prepared, flavorful, and memorable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the private pick-up and drop-off service from our hotel. Our driver was patient and accommodating, even waiting for us to explore the surroundings after dinner. To top it all off, our waiter thoughtfully offered us plastic cups so we could take the remaining wine with us for a relaxing walk. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for more than just a meal—this was hospitality at its finest.

Our last night we had the large fish dish with hi made pasta! The pasta was cooked aldente and very nice texture with the fish! The fish as fresh and they take the bone out right in front of you! Definitely stop by.

Great restaurant near the harbour in Sorrento. After making our booking we arranged via WhatsApp for the restaurant to collect us from our hotel. The lift arrived in time and took us down to the restaurant. On arrival the manager greeted us and we were given a glass of complimentary fizz. The food and service were both excellent and I think good value for money for our family of four (two teens). We had two starters to share, mains and two desserts plus a bottle of the house white and a bottle of the house red. The total was just over €200 (inc water and service). After dinner we had our free lift back to our hotel. The only slight disappointment is that whilst it’s located in the harbour there is no view of the waterfront.

I was walking by and decided to look down from the street. I was pleasantly surprised by a welcoming smile. Hossain welcomed me to have some breakfast. The pastries were warm and coffee was very strong. While sitting drinking coffee the owner came in and said hello to everyone. He then started dancing with his employee which made everyone smile. Great place, highly recommend. The owner also helped some tourist with getting a taxi. Great people!!!

I don’t write a lot of reviews. I have to tell all what a fantastico experience we had at Vela Bianca this evening. From the moment we were seated until the time we left, we were treated so well. The manager, Michael, was kind and welcoming. Our primary server, Mucharo, took great care of us and we adored his sense of humor. The food was amazing… best meal in Sorrento so far. We’re hoping to come back again before we leave. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time at Qui Sorrento! I started with a selection of appetizers, which included separate options for my vegetarian partner. The staff was attentive and accommodating when they realized that we didn't enjoy raw dishes, promptly replacing them with something more to our liking. Despite the dish not being on the menu, they willingly prepared fresh pasta for me upon request. The olive oil ice cream and lemon cake were particularly delightful desserts.
Absolutely amazing 👏 recommend to us by some local friends and this spot does not disappoint. This was easily the best food we have had on our entire trip. Beautiful layers of flavor, stunning presentations, romantic and family ambiance... honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Michelin quality service & food, while you still feel like you're family. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meal with top quality service. In addition, it is extremely affordable. You are paying purely for food, quality and service not for location or view (even though the location is only a 10 min walk from central). 10/10 ❤️

Give this place a Michelin Star!! This place came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. The service and food was exceptional. The best restaurant I have been to in Italy. It’s a true culinary experience with each dish perfectly balanced and perfectly cooked. The staff are so professional, attentive and fun. There is a great chemistry between the staff and they all look like they love working there. One of the owners came around at the end with Limoncello and treated you like his family member. I would highly recommend the mix starter for two people and definitely have the lemon cake. The depth of flavours is incredible and like nothing I’ve experienced before.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The food was amazing! The dessert was the best I have ever had in my life. The tasting appetizer was a culinary experience in itself! Each thing we ate was just better than the next. The presentation was beautiful but what put this over the top was the absolute amazing service, the restaurant owner was the nicest most genuine person and walked us through each part of our experience and created a personalized tasting menu just for us.

The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the olive ice cream palate cleanser was a standout—truly delicious. Our favorite dish was the pork cheek, which was tender and flavorful. The staff was attentive, though they seemed a bit burned out? While the plating was elegant, some dishes were slightly too salty and lacked the depth or wow factor you'd expect from a Michelin-level experience. Overall, the meal felt like it was missing a bit of the passion and joy that typically defines high-end dining. Thus 4 stars instead of a 5.

If I have to recommend a restaurant in Sorrento, it would be Qui Sorrento. It is the best meal I had in town. The service is really great. It is a small and cozy place with 3 cooks and 2 waiters. You must try citrus cake! It is warm with lemon paste inside. They offered complimentary ice cream. Not sure what it is called I don’t understand Italian but they treat it seriously, the bowl is frozen before serving. The ice cream is salty one. I think they try to serve food with their heart!

The restaurant was absolutely amazing - the best I’ve been to in Italy! It felt like a true Michelin experience: every dish was outstanding, and the flavors were unforgettable. The olive oil gelato was so unique and delicious, and they spoiled us with extra special dishes throughout the meal. The desserts were also perfect - just the sweetest ending to an incredible dinner. Truly a 100/10 experience. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful dinner here! The service was spot on—casual yet classy at the same time. Servers explained the dishes really well and had excellent recommendations that made the meal even better. The food itself was fantastic from start to finish. I’d come back 100% and highly recommend it.

I hardly ever leave reviews but this place is THAT good. Look at that house made tagliatelle with black truffle! All that truffle and I had to stop myself from licking the plate. The bread was outstanding. Everything truly outstanding. This is one of those places I will probably go back to before we leave.

We had our dream wedding come true on Saturday 14th June all thanks to Tony, Melania and the team at Don Pedro Wedding Planning. We live in Australia and have family in Aus, the UK and Greece so planning a wedding in Italy from thousands of miles away wasn’t exactly a stress free thought. Having never been to the Amalfi coast before, we were really going in blind with the choices we were making so we tried to do as much research as possible… and then we found Tony and Melania. I had seen their names come up a few times on facebook pages and what drew me to Don Pedro was the family feel that they had and seeing the videos of them on their Instagram, it felt like we knew them straight away. With the time difference between us in Australia and them in Italy was not a problem in the slightest. I chose to communicate via email the whole time with Tony and he was incredible with communication, very upfront and honest about costs, how achievable everything was and I honestly thought it was too good to be true. When we met Tony and Melania for the first time (3 days before our wedding!!!!) I knew that it wasn’t too good to be true and they were exactly how I’d imagined them to be. They were so professional, warm, reliable. Nothing was too much of a problem for them, they literally did everything in their power to make us feel welcome, relaxed and 100% looked after. They showed us around Sorrento town, took us to meet the florist, showed us our welcome dinner choice, they were just amazing. We cannot recommend them enough. They also arranged a boat day for us and our guests on the Monday after the wedding. We had a private boat chartered for the whole day, stopping off for swimming and snorkelling, the blue grotto if we wanted to see that, and stopping in Capri for a look around and they booked us a table for lunch there too! Everyone who was there at our wedding keep saying how amazing they were as well. They really made an impression on everyone who was a guest at our wedding weekend celebrations and we couldn’t have wished for a better planner to help organise our dream day. Don Pedro took care of our food on the wedding night. We basically designed our own menu with them and wanted it to be a family share style dining. We had a whole variety for our appetiser; Caprese salad, carpaccio, Octopus salad, bruschetta and an antipasto selection featuring local regional delicacies, there was honestly soooo much food, we couldn’t believe the spread it was sooo good!!! Pasta course, our guests chose between a Sorrento style tomato gnocchi and a prawn scialatiella pasta (which was husband still says was the best pasta dish we had the whole time we were in Italy) and then for our main course we had the choice of a meat grill or a fish grill with sides of potatos and salads and it was so delicious! And then for dessert we had Tiramisu and limoncello shots. There was soooo much food it was incredible!!! We had live music for our cocktail hour, a mandolin and guitar player and it was the best decision ever!!!! They were so authentic and played classic Italian songs and also ones like take me home country road, everyone had an amazing time. Overall it was literally the most perfect wedding for us. We don’t really like to be the centre of attention but we felt so special, without being stressed at all. Best day ever! Thank you so much to Don Pedro we will forever be eternally grateful.

Tony & Melania are absolutely wonderful people! They helped my husband and I with all the little details for our wedding week in Sorrento! They were so accommodating, easy to work with and made us feel like family! I cannot recommend them enough! Planning an international wedding is stressful enough but they made sure I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

Don Pedro by the Sea restaurant was a charming place for dinner. Food excellent, staff attentive and friendly - and extremely helpful, even hauling bags for us up to the municipal parking area. Way beyond the call of duty!

When Tony learned that we would be in the area of Sorrento for vacation, he was extremely kind and offered us a tour of three of the locations that Don Pedro proposes to prospective wedding couples. Over three days, one location per day, each of them breathtaking, he's shared his experience in the organization of such a complex event and was the kindest, nicest person, taking some of the planning tension off us. It's like having an old friend who knows a lot about the area and who's got your back in a stressful situation. Thanks, Tony!

Ristorante Lorelei offers a Michelin-starred dining experience with a stunning view overlooking Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples. Guests have praised the attentive service and exceptional food, particularly recommending the Lorelei seafood tasting menu. While some felt that the ambiance was slightly formal, others appreciated the breathtaking setting for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. The A la carte options also received positive feedback, with diners receiving additional plates to try between courses.
Unforgettable Dining Experience a Highlight of Our Trip to Italy! Our dinner at Lorelei in Sorrento was, without a doubt, the best meal of our entire two-week trip through Italy. We chose the 5-course vegetarian tasting menu, and every course was a masterpiece. Everything was so refined, inventive, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant that treats vegetarian cuisine with such creativity and respect, but Lorelei delivered something truly extraordinary. The setting alone is worth the visit. We dined during sunset, and the panoramic views over the Bay of Naples were absolutely magical! It’s the kind of moment you try to photograph, knowing it will never quite capture how stunning it really was. What made the evening even more special was the hospitality. We were invited to meet the executive chef and watch as he prepared an extra post dinner dessert and tea before our main dessert. We loved seeing his passion and attention to detail while he worked. While we enjoyed our tea, we were given a tour their beautiful wine cellar, which features a view of an ancient Roman aqueduct! It was an unexpected and fascinating glimpse into Sorrento’s deep history. Everything about Lorelei feels thoughtful and elevated, yet welcoming. This is the kind of place where every detail matters, from the plating to the pacing to the warmth of the staff. If you’re looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Sorrento, especially one that embraces fine vegetarian cuisine, Lorelei is unmissable.

The atmosphere at Lorelei is truly beautiful, with a breathtaking view that makes the setting unforgettable. The service at the table was attentive and professional, and we chose the full chef’s tasting menu (€190) which was absolutely outstanding — every dish was refined, creative, and worthy of the restaurant’s reputation. However, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the wine pairing (€145 per person). As true wine lovers, we expected generous and attentive service, but the pours were extremely minimal, to the point where we had to repeatedly ask for refills. Despite mentioning several times that wine is an essential part of our dining experience, the sommelier continued serving very small amounts, and eventually we decided to cancel the pairing and order a full bottle instead. Shockingly, it took more than 45 minutes for the bottle to arrive, leaving us without wine for most of the meal. This was deeply disappointing and turned what could have been a perfect evening into a frustrating one. The cuisine and the ambiance deserve the highest praise, but the wine service did not meet the standards expected at this level — especially given the cost. A place with such incredible food should not let its reputation be diminished by something as essential as wine service.

I had a wonderful dining experience at Lorelei in Sorrento. From start to finish, it felt truly special. The setting is beautiful — the restaurant sits on a historic site, and my table had a stunning view of the sea, which made the evening feel even more memorable. The service was excellent: attentive, warm, and very professional without ever being overbearing. What stood out to me was the generosity of the chef — we received several complimentary small plates throughout the meal, which added to the experience and made it feel even more personal. The food itself was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can clearly taste the quality of the ingredients, and the creativity of the chef really shines through. It’s a proper Michelin-star experience, with the balance of fine dining and comfort that makes you just enjoy every bite. Overall, Lorelei delivered on everything I could hope for in a special dinner: delicious food, excellent service, a touch of surprise with the chef’s extras, and a view that’s hard to beat. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone visiting Sorrento.

In summary: WOW! The service and food was top notch! Tara made our dinner so personal and wonderful for our honeymoon. We decided to go with the tasting menu, unsure of what to expect and the wine tasting. Tara explained all of the dishes and went above and beyond. The wine was phenomenal.

Best meal of my entire life. Get the 9 course tasting menu. It was life changing. Every course was delicious and imaginative and everything you expect from a Michelin. Service was impeccable and the view a 10/10. Best restaurant in Sorrento.

This restaurant blew me away! The view, the food, and especially the expert wine pairing that complimented each dish so perfectly! We even got to take a peek at the wine cellar. I learned about a new red varietal I have never heard of and fell in love with. It couldn't have been a more perfect night. If you're a foodie this is the place to go. **Please bring cash to tip. Gratuity is not included and we weren't able to tip on the card, and I had very minimal euros on me as it we were flying out not long after.** 10/5 experience!!!!!

We got married in Sorrento and came back on our anniversary this year for a few days. We came to Lorelei on our last night, our first time here despite multiple visits to Sorrento over the years. A great start to the evening with cocktails at the La Colonna Sunset Bar, spectacular views and a glorious sunset. Then on to the restaurant where we had the tasting menu and the wine pairing. All very polished and professional, but lacking a bit of personality. If you like a bit of chat with the service team this isn’t the place, it’s very much a romantic couples destination and focus is on pure professionalism. The food was excellent, only maybe missing a hero dish on one of the courses. Issue for us was the wine pairing, really not good value at all - we are not big drinkers but each wine pairing was barely a couple of mouthfuls. The final pairing with the dessert was not even wine but a bottle of beer, really disappointing, the beer wasn’t even that nice. For the cost of the wine pairing we could have ordered 3 or 4 bottles of really good wines for the same price or less. The other issue we found was a long wait from being seated to the first course and drinks, about 45 minutes where we only had water. At least we had the views while we waited.

Our experience at Gelateria David was absolutely amazing! This is more than just a gelato shop—it's a must-do experience in Sorrento. We were lucky enough to take a gelato class with Mario Gargiulo, one of the best gelato makers you'll ever meet. Mario was fantastic. He not only showed us the entire process of making authentic gelato but also taught us how to tell the difference between fresh, high-quality gelato and older batches. The class was so much fun for our entire group, and watching him work his magic was a true highlight. Afterward, we got to sample the gelato we made, and I was genuinely blown away. The sorbet was, without a doubt, one of the best I have ever tasted in my life. You absolutely have to stop by Gelateria David for Sorrento's best gelato. Best ice cream in Sorrento. All hand made from scratch. We tried the pistachio, nut and coffee ice cram which were exquisite. The ice cream is made with local seasonal fruit and vegetables. LOrangerie is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Sorrento, offering a laid-back and cozy atmosphere amidst an orange grove. The menu celebrates local food producers and regional flavors, with their pizza being a standout dish. Guests can expect exceptional attention to detail, from providing bug spray to serving delicious old-fashioned cocktails and perfectly cooked lobster and pasta.
L'Orangerie provided the best pasta of my whole trip - the ambiance of the location is very special and serene. Highly recommend this restaurant, it is a quite location tucked away from the bustling streets. Oddly the staff brought me my bill and while that is normal in Canada it felt our of place in Italy, rushed and rude. Otherwise an incredible meal and evening spent.

Everything about our experience at l'Orangerie was excellent! The ambiance begins as you approach the restaurant through the the pool area warmly illuminated with candles. We are reminded of the deep history of this special place as we pass by a small section of exposed ancient Roman ruins upon which the Hotel was built. The restaurant staff was highly professional, kind and very attentive. Equally high praise to the Chef and the entire kitchen team for the preparation and presentation of a fantastic culinary experience that pleased us on every level. Grazie mille l'Orangerie!!

The food was mediocre at best! Service was really bad! We got the vegetarian pasta which was slightly undercooked and the fish with potatoes which was tasting ok but a little chewy. The overall service was horrible! We had 3 different servers asking us for food and each of them had no idea what we had ordered so it was a chaos. It showered last night which is not their fault and to be be fair they moved us to a covered space but only after insisting a few times. There was light flickering on the side which spoilt the whole "vibe" of the "fancy" restaurant. The complimentary bread which we got felt "stale" and "chewy". I would expect to get fresh warm bread when I am paying so much price for the food. They seem to make the food and experience so "pricey" but the experience which they offer in return is terrible! Would not recommend again.

Storico8 Pizza in teglia, focacceria e cucina is a charming spot in Sorrento that offers an authentic and delightful dining experience. The friendly staff, including the owners Giuseppe and Anna, provide exceptional service. The pizza is enormous and delicious, with the option to split flavors on one pie. The focaccia base adds a unique touch to the pizzas. Additionally, the meatballs are cooked daily for four hours and served with an outstanding tomato sauce.
My wife and I came here for dinner and were not disappointed! The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely amazing. We started with the tomato mozzarella bruschetta – hands down the best we’ve ever had! I had the tagliatelle with meatballs, and my wife had the cannelloni – both dishes were outstanding. While we were taking pictures, the owner(?) came over, placed a funny little bib on me, and joked that it’s tradition for meatball eaters – such a fun and personal touch! For dessert, we had the pistachio cheesecake, and it was incredible. Highly recommend this place – great food, friendly atmosphere, good beer, and reasonable prices.

We came here 6 times during our 6 day stay. This past week. No reservations. Had everything from the truffle gnocci and the ravioli, to the margheritta pizza and focaccia, to the tiramisu and chesecake. Oh and I cannot forget about the 7 layer traditional lasagna. Got the meatballs and they put a bib on me. Loved every second of it. Incredible food and incredible service. Line forms down the ally before open and the line of people waiting for a table is steady during dinner and lunch. Worth the wait. Make every effort to enjoy a meal here. Telling all my friends, so get there before they do.

I love discovering hidden gem mom-and-pop restaurants like this one. The food here is indescribably delicious — so good we came back twice for dinner. We started with the bruschetta and the beef carpaccio — both incredible. For the main course, we tried two types of lasagna: the house special (a little spicy, packed with flavor) and the classic version. Both were outstanding. We also had the spaghetti with meatballs and the Cannelloni alla Sorrentina — absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. And dessert? The homemade family-recipe Italian cheesecake made with ricotta cheese was next-level. It’s my favorite dessert in general, but this one was unlike any I’ve ever had — hands down the best ever. To top it off, the owners are a wonderful, friendly couple who make you feel right at home. This place is a must-visit. There is usually a line but it's worth the wait.

There are only five tables, so it feels like a private dining experience. Some wow dishes were available, while some no-no dishes were offered. The wine list can be expanded.
Staff was very helpful in accommodating our large party, the meal was amazing, only feedback would be to confirm bottle pricing with the guests before pouring, though I’m sure if your splurging on a meal like this it usually isn’t an issue!

The food was delicious and incredibly creative. Everything was beautifully orchestrated, but the real highlight was the staff and their outstanding service. They added so much more than just a meal, their deep knowledge and thoughtful attention made the experience unforgettable. Don’t miss it!

What an amazing experience! We had probably one of, if not the best meals of our lives! The food was exceptional. The restaurant was immaculate. Service was brilliant. A memorable evening. Highly recommended.
Northern M — Google review
Great food great wine great staff, food and wine pairing were amazing. Just ask the price of the extra wines they suggest before you agree, we were blindsided by the price of our aperitif champagne.
Garrett H — Google review
I thought I had experienced fine dining prior to this experience, I was wrong. The service, presentation, flavor profiles, attention to detail, and overall experience were the best my wife and I had ever been immersed in. The intimate atmosphere removed any feeling of pretentiousness and allowed us to connect with the food and the staff. Truly an unforgettable experience that Marco and Lizza provided for us. Very grateful and anxious to come back at another time. Couldn't recommend Don Geppi more highly.

I am never one to leave a review but had to share my family’s experience. I can’t say enough amazing things about this restaurant. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience. My family and I thought the food was fantastic and each course left us more astonished than the last. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. I also came to say that my mom left her eye glasses at the restaurant and they offered to take the time to drive them to our hotel. It was a very kind gesture. We will never forget our time here. Make the reservation. You will not regret it!

Food was great— creative and surprising, yet well grounded in classic flavors. Loved the 7 kinds of bread, 12 kinds of salt, and homemade olive oil. The 2 fake risottos were both memorable. And the duck was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Raymond S — Google review
Service was amazing. Food was tasty, but 1-2 dishes were less our cup of tea (for example the duck). We were all by ourselves in the restaurant so it was a bit of a weird atmosphere for us.

Chocolate shop
Anna is an absolute sweetheart who was a great help while we were in Sorrento. She was enthusiastic and passionate about all of the products she tried and bought, and her knowledge about them was impressive. The prices are a bit higher than average, but the quality of the chocolate is very high so it's definitely worth it. We would highly recommend visiting her store if you're ever in Sorrento!
Such a great place to actually try some great products! They give lots of samples and are very friendly. Very high quality products and great place to buy delicious Italian treats for yourself or to give away as gifts. If you want to sample limoncello or meloncello, this is the place to go! No pressure sales
Abe S — Google review
The products they sell here are all so delicious! Both sweet and savoury products. Laura and the other staff were amazing! She gave me and my wife+ friends a lovely “degustation” of tasting samples and it definitely sold us! The pistachio and truffle magic salt is a must.
Charlie G — Google review
I enjoyed coming into this store, right away staff were friendly. They offered many samples to try and I was impressed. I ended up with a bag full of goodies. This is a chain store with locations around Italy.
Vanessa B — Google review
Awful quality. I spent 26€ for two packs of sweets “bonbons” (which were already expensive enough) just to find out 5 minutes later after I have already left that they are both completely ruined, melted and uneatable. This shows me that they don’t take care of their products and this was a complete waste of money.
Petya K — Google review
This was a wonderful Italian experience in a retail outlet. Chocolate, Olive Oil, Balsamic, pearls of balsamic, paste's and more. Just wonderful.
Ian D — Google review
I cant remember the exact location, but if its got a chocolate waterfall in the front thats the one. The staff were so friendly, remembered us when we circled back and showered us in chocolate. Thank you for making our sorrento experience even better!
Alexus W — Google review
Lovely products but everybody overlooks the marketing strategies. They feed you all these products so that you buy things!!! The chocolate cookies and caramel chocolates were SOOO yummy but everything is quite overpriced. A worker named Christian was on shift and he was making comments which I did not feel was appropriate. Despite this, staff were friendly and I enjoyed all I bought.
Bill K — Google review
High quality. Packaging is fantastic to do a nice gift. They allow you to taste absolutely everything what you want. Before I bought many bottles of creamy limoncello, meloncello and pistachello, I tried them, the cookies and chocolates as well.

Cheese shop
Grocery store
Il Bocconcino is a charming delicatessen and food market in Sorrento, run by the delightful couple Erika and Gennaro. They offer an array of local products including salami with cow's milk cheese, smoked speck, and provolone del Monaco. Visitors can sample almost everything in the store as the owners are knowledgeable about their products and even make their own excellent limoncello. The shop provides a cultural experience with its warm hospitality and diverse language skills.
My mom and I was staying at an apartment in Sorrento and we were looking for a cheese shop to have to enjoy at our place with wine. We stumbled upon this place owned by the sweetest husband/wife duo who have been running this shop for 35+ years. While the wife didn't speak english as well as her husband, he graciously asked what are we looking for and how many people. "I'll take care of you" he said, and boy did he. He sliced up several different meats (mortadella, prosciutto, speck, salame, and copa) and in a separate container, he sliced up all different types of cheeses (we preferred mild ones). His wife sliced up some rustic italian bread and he continued another smaller container with olives, and marinated roasted peppers and mushrooms. He had asked if he needed any sandwiches (which we were all set) but based on the other reviews, I would imagine they are delicious! Please visit here if you are in need of an antipasto or charcuterie board for home-- they will take care of you!

We ordered 1 bottle of lemoncello, 1 bottle of pistachio cello and some cheese when we visited this store in 11/8/24. We still have not received the shipment and Giuliano has stopped responding to my requests via WhatsApp. Be careful as he took our money and hasn’t delivered.

Avoid this shop - I bought two packs of herbs and was overcharged! Came through on my card €18, realised after it should have been about €5! They didn’t show me the card machine and I just tapped without checking. They obviously take advantage of tourists

1 litre of homemade Limoncello for 14€. This is the family business, and they told the lemons come from their local plantation.

My husband loved the take away wine! They were friendly and offered samples of so many things. Really cute little store.
K K — Google review
I've gone here about 6 times over the last 3 weeks. Had the same sandwich each time and every time the sandwich was great. I have been charged between 5 and 8.50 euro each visit. My final visit he charged 14 for the same thing I've gotten every time and he's served me multiple times. I asked him and he said because special toppings. I get these every time and that's why it's been around 8. 14 is ridiculous but I'm a 21 year old tourist with cash so he took my cash and I assumed it would be around the usual. I didn't go back in to confront them because couldn't do anything but I just want to warn other people. Great food but disappointed they would take advantage of a young tourist.

Erika and Gennaro are just wonderful! Great choice in local products, they make their own limoncello - which is excellent - and they know a lot about their products. They’ll let you taste almost everything. Also if they don’t have in the store what you’re looking for, there’s a big chance they have it in the back. Just ask them; aside from Italian they speak perfect English and German too. We bought a lot from them, it’s a real cultural experience.

Lovely people! Very friendly and gave samples of their product! Can check it out 😁
