Walked through a metal detector and got a basic frisk down by the security guard. Before you go inside, there's a very large undercover outdoor/smokers area with a bar. The music isn't too loud here, you could easily have a conversation. The main floor area was massive and had sitting booths to the back and an upstairs area to overlook the dancefloor. The lighting effects were very cool here and you could see where the DJ was playing. They played house in this area. Two sugarfree redbull vodkas cost £23 - very expensive for 2std drinks. Then I bought two rekorderligs and it cost £13.60 (2.6std drinks) - very reasonable. Then I bought two Gin & Juice by Dre & Snoop for £6 for 3std drinks!! They were absolutely disgusting though, nothing 'juicy' about them - the two should stick to making music! The bartender even provided a sticker to cover my made drinks with - I guess drink spiking is a huge problem in the UK. Up stairs to the right was another dancefloor with its own bar area - they were playing Hip Hop, it was very crowded and you could stand right infront of the DJ. The light works here were very basic. Downstairs to the left was another massive dancefloor area with no bar. The light works and sound were very good here. The DJ was above the dancefloor and played house. Upstairs and to the left was an area overlooking the dancefloor with a bar and toilets (which were very clean and nicer than the ones below). It wasn't crowded here, well airconditioned and there were plenty of booths to sit at, or even take a nap, LOL! They played mostly House but I didn't really hear any bangers or well-known tracks. They also seemed to play songs in full. Female toilets were to the left of the main dancefloor and were huge, probably 20 toilets in a well-lit area, though they had that ridiculous pull-a-single-sheet of toilet paper at a time there. It said free wifi was available but I wasn't able to connect to it. If I lived in London, I would come here every weekend - the layout, the sound systems, the lightworks, everything is awesome.

The first time I went security was helpful and removed a man who was harassing me. However this time around the blonde female security guard was racist to me. I had some prescription medicine in my bag as I have a medical condition which I explained (and has been fine in the past) on this confiscated which I needed to collect at the end. Secondly I went to the toilet for 2 minutes and she began aggressively knocking on the cubicle door insisting she needed to "check if there were multiple people in the cubicle". Entry was quick and searches were thorough. After going through the doors you come straight into the main dance floor. It felt very upscale, seating around the edge, and raised platforms to dance on. Trying to get served around here was just ridiculously long... waiters/waitresses were passing back and forth, but didnt take notice of our group waiting. However they notice empty cups on te table. They messed up a couple times with orders, offered to give us shots... we thought great a chance to win us over.... sadly we yet was let down again... it had no alcohol in it lol....pure juice. So fast forward to billing, we requested service charge taken off since its optional and we were not satisfied with anything they offered us. The cheeky staff member than rudely told us to pay at till since we not paying service charge while holding the card terminal in her hand... like WOW!! REALLY?! It just was not a hood experience at all but we're a group that will still have fun wherever we go... we made most of the music played. I really think they shouldnt be taking our polynesian cultures and covering it over their walls and not living up to an islanders expectation... it's nothing at all what it seems in the pics and profile they promote

Came for my friend's 22nd Birthday and we started upstairs with drinks and food then moved down to the club later on in the night. I had the devil's ukulele and another tropical vodka based drink. Both were really nice and came fairly quickly. For prices it is what you'd expect for a London bar in Mayfair. Perhaps even a little cheaper. Cocktails ranged from £9-£16 or you could get big ones to serve 3 people from £30-£45. However, once you move on down to the club the prices increase heavily and you'll find yourself spending around £18 for a single Jager bomb. Luckily whilst in the club section our friend James was still about and providing us with free shots which was really nice. Overall base on the food and drinks I'd give this place a 4/5 but with the service it bumps it up to a 5/5 rating. Will definitely be back again!

Plenty of space to move around and get close to the main stage. Then if you wanted something a little more intimate there was a side room which had its own bar and DJ’s. I'll explain: Pros: -It's a massive open space with plenty of room, however tonight at Resistance they halved the capacity of the main room for some reason -One of the best lighting and visual set ups, the place really lights up -They have finally put toilets on the main room level! Altho these flooded and shut during the night. Negatives: -Cigarette smoke - I feel it's getting worse everytime I go, to the point I struggled to breathe towards the end. That and halving the main room capacity was awful, there is no ventilation in the main room and the temperature is high, and becomes unbearable. I saw one person getting kicked out but there needs to be more security checks and action. This was at the back of the venue where security can freely walk, it's just horrid. -Sound - it's okay, not the best, acoustics not great and very echoey. It takes a bit of time to get into a good spot in the room for the best sound. -The walk - To enter, you have to walk far, to use the toilets downstairs when upstairs is closed, you have to walk far, to leave the place, you have to walk far. Not great if your legs are aching and don't want to miss any of the line up. This is definitely my favourite club in London, and apart from the sound system and general facilities that elevate it above the rest (very spacious, many toilets and always clean, fast system for cloak room check-in, a medical room), it's really its staff that make it shine: everyone from security to cleaning to welfare are genuinely nice and they are there to make sure you have a great night. I had never been to the Dalston Superstore before, but came across the website when searching for sissy events for my friend. What it was, was a man/person in a long plain skirt and plain top, wearing flipflps and Darth Maul make-up (yes) doing a DJ gig from a little platform that I hadn't noticed at first. The sound system was at a deafening volume. I couldn't even understand what he/she/they was saying. I could tell they were trying to be funny, but it wasn't going down too well. There was no explanation that I could hear for their strange attire. But the whole thing was shabby and disappointing. It was not a show. It was someone who seemed a bit jaded, dragging him/herself into work in whatever clothes they picked up off the floor and, in some fit of madness, decided to paint their face with a Star Wars character. I don't intend to be unkind to that person. I'm sure they are nice. They were trying hard to get us involved and be funny. But this 'show' or presentation wasn't working, and then they sort of playfully (or not) gave us a hard time, several times, for not responding with excitement and getting involved or making song requests. It was supposed to be a performance. I didn't realise that we, as people trying to eat our food, had to be involved and prop up the entertainment. If it had been promoted as a live DJ show in a queer venue, that would have been accurate and I wouldn't have been disappointed. Other opinions: 1) Wait staff: excellent. Friendly manager. Very cute, professional waiter boy. 2) Food: Great. Breakfast Waffle was scrumptious, as were Loaded Veggie fries. It had character and reminded me of places I used to go when I was young(er). Bathroom was black and felt a little grubby (though the toilets were clean), but I was ok with that. Again, it reminded me of my youth, and the mini parties I used to have in bathroom stalls. Though I was disappointed by the sign that said no more than one person per stall. Come on! Where's the fun in that? lol. The only thing I didn't like about the bathrooms is that they are unisex. 4) Atmosphere: It was ok. I didn't have a horrible time, but, as noted, the show could be improved. Overall, good concept, good food, friendly staff. 5) Finally, based on others' reviews about being judged as looking 'not gay enough' by the night bouncers and some staff, I just wanted to comment on my own experience. Though it was hard to tell through the face painting, it seemed that the DJ gave me a few dirty (or at least questioning) looks as he/she/they walked past our table when interacting with the audience, like 'what are you doing here, straight lady?' Well, I may look 'straight' these days, but I'm not. I was dressed rather conservatively and looked like any regular middle-aged lady you'd see walking down the street. So it really isn't fair or accurate to judge people's queerness based on their looks. You just never know. We was also promised a table and complimentary drinks. Mind you we JUST paid for entry, bought multiple drinks, and without a singular warning or anything we were just taken out and kicked out over my friend accidentally stumbling. We asked if all 4 of us who were with her had to go and he said yeah, to go take your friend home when she wasn't even in such a bad state as he made her out to be. Terrible service, overpriced drinks after happy hour, and the remixes of the songs were terrible. There are more places in London that are actually worth your money, I don't recommend visiting this venue.

The all staff is rude including management. They will take you out when the space is full for allowing new people to get into the club. They will come and say you drank too much lets get you out at our smoking area and just relax for 10 minutes and comeback but when you comeback they won't let you in, instead they give you your jacket. Such terrible people, doesn't care about your money. We four people including two foreigners went there for last new year and this was happened. Check the below pictures of the security especially this lady she was shouting and threatening. Everyone who is standing outside is not came to get in they all trying to get back in because these horrible people tricked them and got them out. Never ever choose this club for any night out. The staff are genuinely lovely — friendly, welcoming, and we’ve even made friends with some of them over time. But last night completely changed how we see this place. The manager was shockingly unprofessional — rude, dismissive, and acting as if customers don’t matter. It was such a letdown, especially considering how great the rest of the team are.
