The lastminute.com London Eye is a must-visit attraction in London, offering an exhilarating experience with its 32 capsules representing the city's boroughs. As Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel, it provides a stunning 360-degree view of the city and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the UK. Situated along the River Thames, it has become an iconic part of the London skyline and offers a thrilling way to take in breathtaking views, especially during sunset.
If you're in London and looking for a fun, iconic experience, the London Eye is totally worth checking out. It’s one of those things that might seem super touristy, but once you're up there, the views are absolutely stunning. You get a full 360° look at the city — Big Ben, the Thames, Tower Bridge, and even way out to the Shard. On a clear day, it’s unreal. The ride itself is smooth and surprisingly relaxing. Each pod is spacious and air-conditioned, so even if it’s crowded, it doesn’t feel cramped. It takes about 30 minutes to go all the way around, which gives you plenty of time to soak it all in and snap a bunch of photos. Booking online ahead of time is a good idea — saves you from standing in long lines. And if you’re feeling fancy, the fast-track tickets are a nice upgrade. There’s also a cool 4D experience included with some tickets that’s fun, especially for kids. Overall, it’s a great way to kick off your London trip or wrap it up with a bang. Whether you’re solo, with friends, or family, the London Eye is a must-do. Just bring your camera and maybe a snack for the wait

The London Eye is one of those iconic experiences that truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment you step into the capsule, you can feel the excitement building — and as it slowly rises above the Thames, the city unfolds beneath you in a breathtaking panorama. The views are spectacular, especially on a clear day. You can see all of London’s major landmarks — Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and even as far as The Shard and Tower Bridge. Watching the city from above gives you a whole new appreciation for its beauty and scale. The ride itself is smooth and quiet, taking about 30 minutes, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. The capsules are clean, comfortable, and spacious, with just the right number of people inside to move around freely. The staff are friendly and organized, keeping everything running efficiently even when it’s busy. Tickets are easy to book online, and the whole experience feels well-managed from start to finish. Whether it’s your first time in London or your tenth, the London Eye is something you should do at least once — a stunning and memorable way to see the city from a new perspective.

Me and my wife visited London, UK and decided to experience the London Eye, even though ticket price is high, we thought to book it and try it. Really believe me that was great, views are stunning and fantastic.. we both really enjoyed, you can see entire London 360 view with all the landmarks like, BIG BEN, Aerial view THAMES RIVER, BRIDGES AND CRUISES, SHAD TOWER, TOWER BRIDGE and many more.. Views are worth than ticket price for a lifetime for a one time; if possible reducing ticket rate is great for travelers but it has great demand and long que always. Managing staff and sequrity are very good. In overall great experience you must try if you come to London, UK❤️❤️
Chathura J — Google review
The London Eye offers stunning panoramic views of the city’s iconic landmarks, making it a must-visit attraction. The ride is smooth and relaxing, perfect for taking photos and enjoying London from above. It can get busy, so booking tickets in advance is recommended. A great experience for tourists and locals alike!
Michael N — Google review
The London Eye is one of those attractions that truly lives up to its reputation and is a must-visit for anyone exploring the city. The moment you step onto the giant wheel, you’re treated to spectacular panoramic views of London, stretching out as far as the eye can see. From the top, the historic landmarks like the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and even Windsor Castle on a clear day come into perfect view. Watching the River Thames wind its way through the heart of London adds even more magic to the experience. One thing families and visitors should prepare for, however, are the long lines. The London Eye is extremely popular, and during weekends or holidays, the wait can feel quite lengthy. For those short on time or traveling with children, the Express Entry tickets are definitely worth considering. They cost a bit more but save you from the longer queues, letting you enjoy the ride without the wait. The capsule itself is spacious and moves slowly, making it comfortable for families, children, and even those slightly nervous about heights. The pace allows you to really take in the scenic 360° views and capture plenty of photos without feeling rushed. Overall, the London Eye is an experience that beautifully combines fun, relaxation, and sightseeing. Despite the queues, it’s absolutely worth the visit for the incredible views of London’s skyline and its historic buildings. It’s one of those attractions that reminds you why London is such a timeless city.
Zeeshan Q — Google review
The London Eye is an interesting experience that I was glad that I went on, but I am not sure if I would recommend. It offers great views of the city but I understand that The Shard and Sky Garden also can do this. Heck, the coffee shop at Tate Modern also has great views and it is free to go up. We had booked a time and were waiting for our slot, when we arrived 15 minutes early to join an extremely long queue. I was very surprised how quickly the line went and we actually boarded the ride at our allocated time. I suspect if we arrived early (within reason), we could have got on sooner rather than waiting around. Getting on and off was easy, even though the ride didn't stop. The entire trip lasted about 30 minutes and was very relaxing. Obviously the views were great, but I `think that I would have spent less time if I had gone up the Shard or Sky Garden, as the ride seemed to trudge along. The are definitely opportunities to get discounted tickets: book online or in the visitor centre or with the London Pass. Since the line went quick, I wouldn't pay extra for a fast path.

The London Eye is a giant Ferris wheel located near the iconic Big Ben. Each capsule can hold over ten people and is fully enclosed in glass, providing panoramic views of the surroundings. The overall experience feels quite similar to the one in Singapore. The ride lasts about 30 minutes and is incredibly smooth and steady—there’s no shaking or strange noises at all. As the capsule gradually rises, the entire city of London unfolds before your eyes, offering breathtaking views. How can anyone visit London without experiencing this attraction?
Amanda L — Google review
An unforgettable view of London! The London Eye is a must-do experience — smooth, well-organized, and absolutely breathtaking. From the top, you get panoramic views of the Thames, Big Ben, and the city skyline that are simply stunning, especially at sunset. The pods are spacious and move slowly enough to really soak it all in. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience felt safe and seamless. Whether you're a tourist or a local, it's a brilliant way to see the city from a new perspective.

Tate Modern is a remarkable modern art gallery located in the heart of London, housed in the iconic former Bankside Power Station. This architectural marvel, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and transformed by Herzog & de Meuron, offers an impressive collection of international artworks that captivate visitors of all ages. Families can enjoy a delightful day out along the South Bank while introducing their children to contemporary art in a welcoming atmosphere.
Loved its industrial charm — the raw concrete walls and vast open halls create such a unique atmosphere. The sculpture and painting exhibitions were truly captivating. Highly recommend a visit!
Alex L — Google review
Free entry, but need first to go and find out which exhibition needs ticket, otherwise you will running up and down. The collection was bit too modern for my liking, and the gallery is a bit hard to go between buildings (except level 4). It's different to National Gallery, I tend to spend more time there than at Tate. It's a day tour when you visit London & Tower Bridges, and St Paul Cathedral.
David C — Google review
Admission is free, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of modern and contemporary artworks without any cost(the fee is required for special exhibition )From the museum, you can enjoy a beautiful view of St. Paul’s Cathedral across the Thames. There’s also a café on the top floor where you can relax with coffee while taking in the scenery. It’s a must-visit spot in London for art lovers and anyone looking to spend a peaceful afternoon surrounded by creativity and great views.
Jihee L — Google review
Overall liked the exhibitions, loved some rooms, disliked others 😂 Although I am not really a fan of modern art, I spent around 4 hours there. I liked most of the themes they chose and appreciated the descriptions of the artworks and artists as it helps to understand what they express, sometimes in very abstract ways. Some modern artist celebrities were underrepresented in the Tate Modern in my opinion, but thankfully they can be seen in other museums in London 😜 I was a bit surprised by certain rooms that had a lot of nudity or sexual aspects, especially because there were many young children with their families around … Concerning the Do Ho Suh temporary exhibition, I’m happy I got a discounted ticket, because the original price was too steep for what I saw, but it was a quick fun expo.

First visit to the Tate Modern as a treat and it was well worth it. Went to see the Nigerian Modernism exhibition which is insightful, educational and entertaining too. It is fantastic to see the museum host works of art from the African continent. I highly recommend this exhibition to everyone especially as Black History Month is being celebrated this month.
Blackflash H — Google review
Great museum with lots of modern art, some on permanent display and other exhibitions/pieces that rotate. It's free to get in!!! You do have to pay to get in some of the collection displays however, but the vast majority of stuff is for free (including rotating works). Always something interesting to see, even if you're not an art fan
Taylan C — Google review
I will start out by saying I have never been a big fan of modern art. That said, they have some great exhibits. For example, there was an installation of velises and old clothes- it just looked like my grandmother's closet. One room was filled with rocks topped with fruit. Another had some open framing and shelving with little knick knacks on them. Art? There is a room of Rothko's and other more known artists as well . I need to add a note. Some of what is on display is not very child-friendly, however, and can be quite disturbing - even for adults. Some I most definitely do not consider to be art. However, there are some interesting pieces in their collection, the museum itself is quite large, and the type of objects in display vary greatly. Would I recommend it or go back? No, although they have a great gift shop. They did have a great area for kids in the lowest level, where they could run and interact. That is a nice addition.
Linda M — Google review
Visited during half term for the family activities, and it was a great experience. Free entry is always appreciated, and the Tate Draw activity with the interactive screens was a real highlight — my child loved seeing his drawing projected on the wall. You can even buy the artwork on a T-shirt, which is a lovely way to support the museum. The children’s play zone in the Turbine Hall was fantastic for pre-school and KS1 ages — fun, safe, and much calmer than other half-term options like the Science Museum or NHM. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be a more curated children’s exploration of the art, perhaps a dedicated kids’ gallery or trail, as it was a little tricky keeping a four-year-old engaged beyond the organised activities. The Corner Café deserves a mention too — great food options, excellent single-origin coffee, and plenty of seating even when busy.

Big Ben, also known as the Elizabeth Tower, is a 16-storey Gothic clocktower located at the Eastern end of the Houses of Parliament in London. It is a global icon of neo-Gothic design and has been a symbol of British governance since its controversial renovation in 1835. Designed by Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin, Big Ben's completion in 1860 marked an iconic addition to the London skyline.
Big Ben Tour – Inside the Elizabeth Tower Visiting the Elizabeth Tower might just be one of the best things you can do in London. Getting tickets, however, is the real challenge — plan ahead and try to book about six months in advance, checking the website regularly. No photos are allowed inside, which is a bit of a shame, but completely understandable. The climb is 334 steps up a narrow spiral staircase with just a simple metal railing, so this is not an experience for those with mobility issues or severe fear of heights. The first stretch is about 110 steps, with the rest broken into slightly shorter climbs and two rest stops along the way. Windows are few and far between, so you won’t have many chances to look outside during the climb. At the top, you’ll visit the belfry and see the Great Bell — Big Ben itself — up close. You’ll be there as the clock strikes the hour, with protective ear coverings provided to save your hearing from the thunderous chimes. You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at the clock mechanism and stand behind the famous clock faces before beginning the descent, which is once again split into sections with rest stops. Lockers are provided for your belongings, as nothing may be carried with you, and open-toed shoes are not allowed. The guides are fantastic — full of history, fun facts, and fascinating details about the tower and its clock. In the end, this is an unforgettable tour: fun, educational, a little bit challenging, and absolutely worth every step.
Keira D — Google review
Visiting Big Ben is truly an unforgettable experience. The tower is one of London’s most iconic landmarks and simply breathtaking when you see it up close. Especially when the clock strikes, you can really feel the history and significance of this place. Whether by day, when the golden details shine in the sunlight, or at night, when the tower is beautifully illuminated – Big Ben is always a highlight. The surrounding area, with the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames, makes the view even more impressive and offers countless photo opportunities. Although you can’t go inside unless you’re a UK resident with special permission, just standing nearby and taking in the atmosphere is worth it. Big Ben is not only a must-see for tourists but also a symbol of London itself.
Tobi — Google review
Absolutely love London. And Big Ben is a must see / visit. It has been beautifully restored and looks grand as it should. Right next to the houses of Parliament and across from Westminster Abbey just down the road from Buckingham Palace. And then there is number 10. Definitely make time to go to this iconic land Mark.
Zane C — Google review
Big Ben is absolutely stunning and a must-see landmark! The architecture is incredible, and it really lives up to the hype. The only downside was how crowded it gets, especially during peak hours, which makes it a bit hard to enjoy peacefully. Still, definitely worth the visit and a great spot for photos.
Sara A — Google review
Big Ben is one of London’s most iconic landmarks — a true symbol of the city. Seeing it in person feels almost surreal, especially when you hear the clock chime across Westminster. The architecture is magnificent, with incredible detail and timeless charm. It’s especially beautiful at sunset or when lit up at night, reflecting perfectly over the River Thames. The surrounding area — including the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey — makes it a must-visit spot for first-time visitors to London. Even though you can’t go inside the tower, just standing nearby and admiring its grandeur is worth the visit. A classic London experience!
Eugene H — Google review
Visited Big Ben while in London. Did you know its official name is the Elizabeth Tower, renamed in 2012 in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee — but everyone still calls it Big Ben. The site was impressive, with plenty of onlookers taking in the views. We spent about 30 minutes exploring and enjoying the surroundings. Fun fact: the minute hand is roughly the same length as a single-decker bus! Overall, it’s worth a quick stop and was one of the highlights of our trip. Saluti

Big Ben is an incredible and historic landmark, truly one of the most famous symbols of London. The architecture is beautiful, and seeing it up close is a memorable experience. It’s a place full of history and charm, and it represents the classic elegance of the city. However, it’s a bit disappointing to see that some areas around it could be better maintained and cared for. Such an iconic site deserves more attention and preservation to keep its beauty shining for future generations. Despite that, Big Ben remains a must-see attraction and one of the most remarkable places to visit in London.

Big Ben is one of the most famous landmarks in London and truly a must-see! The clock tower looks stunning, especially when it chimes. Trafalgar Square, an iconic landmark in London, is home to Nelson's Column, surrounded by LED-lit fountains, lion statues, and various artworks. This historic square has been a significant part of London for centuries and continues to hold a special place in the hearts of its residents. It pays tribute to the city's rich history with monuments dedicated to courageous figures like Admiral Lord Nelson.
Trafalgar Square Review Trafalgar Square is one of London’s most iconic landmarks, always buzzing with visitors from around the world. It’s surrounded by some fantastic attractions, including the National Gallery, Nelson’s Column, and lively street performances that bring the square to life. The area appeals to all ages — children love the fountains and wide open space, while adults can enjoy the architecture, history, and nearby museums. It’s also a great meeting spot, thanks to its central location and easy transport links. Many people grab a seat on the steps or by the fountains, making it a lovely place to sit, relax, and even enjoy lunch outdoors while soaking in the atmosphere. Must visit destination

🏛️ My Visit to Trafalgar Square, London My visit to Trafalgar Square was an unforgettable experience at one of London’s most iconic public spaces. Built in the 1840s, the square commemorates Admiral Lord Nelson’s victory at the Battle of Trafalgar (1805). At its center stands the towering Nelson’s Column, surrounded by magnificent lion statues and beautiful fountains. The square is always lively, filled with street performers, tourists, and locals. It’s also home to the National Gallery, historic statues, and hosts major events and celebrations throughout the year. The atmosphere perfectly captures the spirit of London — vibrant, cultural, and full of history. Visitor Tips: Visit in the evening to see the fountains illuminated. Entry is free, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Don’t miss the short walk to Admiralty Arch and The Mall leading to Buckingham Palace. How to Reach: Located in central London, Trafalgar Square is easily accessible via Charing Cross Station or a short walk from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus Underground stations. Overall, Trafalgar Square is a must-visit — a beautiful blend of art, history, and city life right in the heart of London.

With the majestic Nelson’s Column, beautiful fountains, and the National Gallery overlooking the square, it’s a perfect spot for sightseeing and people watching. Iconic place in the center of London. Meet Lord Nelson and the 4 lions and find out why there are only 3 statues and not four on each column in each corner.

One of my favorite spots in London - it’s a fun spot for great sight seeing. If you love art, you absolutely must visit the National Gallery here (and it’s free!). You’ll get a great view of Big Ben down White Hall and capture pictures with the Lion statues. It’s a must visit in London!

Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in London, offers visitors the chance to explore its lavish private and state rooms or witness the iconic changing of the guard ceremony. For history enthusiasts, nearby attractions like Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London are highly recommended. Additionally, a leisurely stroll by Buckingham Palace may provide an opportunity to catch a glimpse of royalty or admire the handsome guards.
I had a great time attending Buckingham palace! The grounds were stunning and I even got to see a short performance from the guards. The landscaping and fountains were the highlight for me. The self-guided tour inside was great too. Buy your ticket in advance to pick your preferred time.
Shanel — Google review
Interesting to be and see inside this storied place. The State Rooms are interesting and the chance to see the royal art collection is a real treat. I also enjoyed the special exhibition of art produced on the King Charles’s travel over the years as well as the throne room. It’s crowded but manageable. I also visited the mews with the carriages and would recommend. My disappointment was the limited access to the garden. The website lists the Royal Gardens as one of the highlights and includes pictures of the rose garden and other select spots. Once on-site I learned that much of the garden, including the roses I hoped to see, is off-limits unless you book a special tour, which were all booked. This is not made clear on the website when booking. Also note that the amount of time they indicate for the palace tour is far too long unless you’re planning to eat in the cafe and do a lot of shopping in the gift shop. I listened to the entire tour and spent time in all of the rooms and it took me 45 minutes or so—they indicate 2 to 2.5 hours. This can be an issue if you are booking multiple timed elements at the palace or tickets elsewhere.
Scott — Google review
We purchased guided tour tickets to include the changing of the guards. What we failed to understand was the meeting point is not actually at Buckingham Palace, rather about a mile down the road at the equestrian statue. The tickets were expensive since we did opted for a guided tour however the guided tour does not take you inside the palace. I have to say overall I was a bit let down by the tour I expected more for some reason. Don't get me wrong you get to see beautiful marble statues and works of art that are one of a kind and you're only going to see there and you get to see a very small section of the palace. The section you get to see is where they do most of the hosting for guests. It's a must-see, I'm not so sure paying extra for a guided tour was worth it as once you get inside your guide leaves you and you can take the free guided audio tour to go through the rooms. The palace was absolutely packed during a random weekday and I would definitely recommend pre-buying your tickets. There is a small Cafe outside at the end of your tour and a large garden that you can get a free tour as well. Located right in the center of London, when you come out it pops you right back out in the streets so be prepared to walk. Just like all the other palaces and castles I visited you cannot take pictures or video once inside.
Jessica D — Google review
Tickets are not necessary for the changing of the guard. But I recommend standing on the fountain if you cannot get near the fence. You will need tickets for the States room tour. It's well worth with it.
Lori D — Google review
Highly recommend the palace tour as the palace is quite stunning on the inside. Do buy the tickets in advance and show up right in time for your entry because there’s no wait then! The gift shop also has some quality souvenirs so I highly recommend it. Also, the palace gardens were my favourite gardens in London ✨✨✨✨
Sumukha A — Google review
The palace is absolutely beautiful inside, but no photography. We really enjoyed our visit there. It's is a good bit of walking around but benches to rest on. There is a 20 minutes walk one you get outside to get back out to the main street but once again plenty of benches to rest.
Robin J — Google review
Buckingham Palace Park is beautiful for a walk and to relax. Lovely green areas, well maintained, and a great spot for photos. It can get busy with tourists, but definitely worth a visit!
Khalid B — Google review
Visited during the changing of the guard I really didn’t know what I was in for. The crowds and fences were ridiculous and the event was not that impressive to me. I could’ve skipped it and been fine. Because of the event I really didn’t get to see the palace exterior and gates very well due to large crowds and barricades. Unless the changing of the guard is a bucket list thing you really want to see I would recommend not going during that event if you’re wanting to get a good view of the palace.

The restaurant features a stylish and modern interior with dark green walls, contemporary art, and luxurious leather seating. It offers a menu that celebrates British comfort food with a creative twist, including dishes like dry-aged rib of beef, mushroom risotto, lobster thermidor, and raspberry trifle.
Located in the luxurious & posh CORINTHIA hotel. Fine dining dining at it's BEST! (Classy but Comfortable). Our start was with their champagne cart .... Their start: A Chef's amuse-bouche followed by a tasty bread service (& the BEST butter 😋 EVER!). If your choice is beef ask to be escorted & shown the chef's larder, you'll be impressed. Choices & selections vary as their cuts are carefully sourced. Our night we choose the grass fed, bone-in sirloin which came on the table pre-cut. It was extremely tender but w/ enough substance, amazingly juicy, cooked to perfection & the flavor was wonderful: a blend of fields & richness! THEN moving on the the lobster thermador. I always try this entree when I c it. "Here" it was fabulous. It was nicely seasoned w/ a perfect touch of well balanced creaminess, w/o being lost in structure. The mix was reshelled & topped with a herbs & garnish for interest. We skipped dessert bc we had other plans, but I was tempted for to try their chocolate & orange thingy. The service was quick. Only slight mistep was a cocktail ordered might have had a mixup @ the bar, that was quickly and graciously solved.

An enjoyable experience. If I could I would give the service and atmosphere 4.5. Staff very attentive and on point. Ambience relaxing and welcoming. Preferred the starters over the mains and dessert. My husband had the quails eggs, I had the crab crumpet. Both were good. We both had the monk fish and wouldn't order again.

This place offers great quality good, which is served well and presented beautifully. We enjoyed scallop pie for starter, chicken and lamb for mains and desserts to conclude the dinner - all was delicious! The service was excellent. We celebrated a special event here and the team made sure everything went smoothly and as pleasantly as possible for us. Thank you!

Good Americano(£6.5), fantastic treacle bread, great beef roast, the rib eye was beautiful medium rare, very very crispy potato, nice swede mash, tasty pulled pork yorki, and nice cauliflower cheese, the gravy was tasty, quite salty somehow tasted bit soy sauce in it. The waitress and waiter were all very good, brought me a birthday dessert as well which was also very nice, also gave me a loaf of treacle bread because how much I liked it. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely recommend it to anyone.

It was a delightful experience, the service was best! We loved the bread and asked how they made it, the waitress gave us a whole bread to take home and the recipe as well. It was fun to choose our steak and watching how it cooked! We all had a best day out in London.

Been waiting a long time to visit and it was well worth it! The food, drinks and service was on point. The crab crumpet and soup were so good! Sharing sirloin was delicious! Not cheap but pay for what you get!

The atmosphere in here is lovely, very picturesque fine dining playing old rock classics setting a less pretentious vibe. The chicken main was delicious, but i found the beetroot salad’s texture quite mushy and lacked interesting flavour. We were also very surprised by the cost with an unexpected 20% VAT, 15% service charge and paying for the tap water. Overall didn’t think the value matched the price.

Private dining experience. Food was… okay. Not sure why they pride themselves. Service was… okay. I needed to wait to be served at the door and also champagnes refill.

British restaurant
Rules, London's oldest restaurant established in 1798, is known for its classic British cuisine and Edwardian ambiance. Over the centuries, it has been frequented by literary greats such as Charles Dickens and H.G. Wells. The traditional paneled interior and subdued lighting have been preserved, offering a charming setting steeped in history. The menu features hearty pies, puddings, game dishes, and beef from the restaurant's own estate.
Great restaurant for British traditional food and history. I appreciate that the game is sourced from their own estate lands. I had the grouse and the halibut. Welsh Carmarthen ham for the starter. The in house ice cream and sorbet for dessert. It was all excellent. Service was friendly and professional. Highly recommend. We had a great experience.

Simply amazing. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. A veritable British institution, i had it in my bucket list for years and it certainly met my expectations. We had potted shrimps, braised shoulder of lamb, pork cheeks, the amazing sticky toffee pudding, all served to perfection. Service is friendly and attentive. The decor is just stunning. Pricey? Maybe. But you pay for the quality and the experience...would gladly do it again!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rules, one of London's oldest and most iconic restaurants, and a favorite of Downton Abbey fans. The moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a bygone era of old English glamour - the red velvet, dark woods, and bird motifs are a feast for the eyes. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure everything was just right. As for the food, our appetizers (Duck Rillettes and Cream of Celeriac Soup) were a bit of a letdown - a tad lacking in seasoning and flavor, which was surprising given the restaurant's reputation. However, the main courses more than made up for it! The Chicken, Leek & Mushroom Pie was a highlight, with its golden crust and juicy filling, paired perfectly with the English apple brandy sauce and crispy bacon. The Roast Breast of Pheasant was equally impressive, with tender meat and rich, earthy flavors. And let's not forget the creamy Gratin Dauphinois on the side - sublime! We also enjoyed the Black Velvet cocktail, a delicious blend of champagne and Guinness. Overall, a wonderful experience that I'd definitely repeat, especially for the Chicken Pie. Hopefully, the appetizers will get a flavor boost soon. Still, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for a taste of London's rich history and culinary excellence.

Had an outstanding experience at Rules. The steak was perfectly cooked, the Caesar salad was crisp and delicious, and the service was excellent throughout — attentive without being intrusive. The decor is absolutely fantastic, with a timeless charm that makes dining here feel special. A true London gem that I’d happily recommend.

I have visited this restaurant every time I visit London and it represents British dining in a traditional way that few can. The fact that it’s been in operation since 1798 speaks volumes. Anytime is a good time but I especially enjoy the grouse season in late fall early winter. They also serve an excellent roast beef plate for two people - superb. Service is very high - shout out for Sam (bar manager) and Albert (manager I think). The level of service is very good and I have found that they are professional and attentive. They have a nice wine list, and well thought out cocktail menu. The food menu is limited but very good as a representation of traditional British dishes. The ambience is nothing short of historical and full of stories. Highly recommend this place for a long leisurely lunch or dinner. Best to make a reservation but they do accept walking if available. Just visited again (Aug.2025) - always great and good to see some familiar faces (thanks Albert and Sam for your wonderful service). It’s grouse season - my favorite and some of the best I have ever tasted. A must if you’re in London!!!

Beautiful decor, it’s like taking a step back in time. Old school classic British cuisine. Menu is fantastic, I could’ve happily ordered all of it. High end, but no faff or gels or foams. Just good quality food. Certainly not a cheap meal, but definitely a memorable one.

We had a wonderful evening at Rules. We started in the conservatory with cocktails which we chose from a wide and unusual selection. They also gave us a jar of delicious nuts to eat with the cocktails. Then we had dinner. The food was superb. I started with Carmarthen Ham with grilled apricots and my wife had watercress salad. For the main course I had steak and kidney pudding (with an oyster on top) and she had roast lamb. For dessert we both had summer pudding which was fabulous. There was also an extensive wine list. The ambience was just what you would expect from London's oldest restaurant. All the staff were attentive and pleasant and happy to talk. It was an expensive evening, but we thought it was worth the money.

From the moment I walked into Rules, I felt completely welcomed. Even though I was early, they seated me right away. Everyone I passed greeted me with a smile, and the atmosphere was exactly what I’d hoped for: elegant, inviting, and full of character. The service was flawless. My server seemed to anticipate what I needed before I even had to ask, and yet it all felt so natural and unforced. I ordered the duck, and it was honestly one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The meat was tender and full of flavor, and the cherries added a beautiful touch of sweetness. The potatoes were perfectly done, and the summer pudding for dessert was simply divine: bright, refreshing, and indulgent all at once. Rules is one of those rare places where every detail feels cared for. The historic charm, the warm service, the extraordinary food; it all comes together to make you feel like you’re part of something special. I left already thinking about when I could come back.

Hamburger restaurant
Bleecker Burger Victoria is a popular burger joint that started as a food truck and now has three locations in London. Known for its minimalist approach, it offers classic American fast food and creative shakes. The menu features mouthwatering burgers made with rare-breed dry-aged beef, including the oozing bacon cheeseburger that's a favorite among meat enthusiasts. Additionally, they have a summer pop-up truck on the Southbank for those looking to savor their delicious offerings.
Just incredible. I've seen Bleecker listed as one of London's best burgers and I had a perfect chance to try after watching a musical. The burger is simply sublime. Extremely juicy and flavorful 2 smashed patties in a perfect, soft bun. One of the best I ever had for sure, and I was skeptical considering how many branches they have. Honestly kind of perfect.

I had a burger here with some friends one afternoon, and managed to get a seat as it wasn't too busy. I went for the Bacon Double Cheese Burger for £14.95. It had a double beef patty, double cheese, bacon, onion & house sauce...and it was fantastic! I had the burgers cooked medium and it was so juicy and tasty! The bacon and the cheese was perfect along with the onion and sauce! But why only 4 stars then? Well, it was a bit on the small size for the price I paid...definitely overpriced for what it is. Might be worth them starting a loyalty scheme to give something back to their customers. Staff were friendly and professional!
Matthew A — Google review
This burger spot is just a simple yet stylish hole in the wall restaurant. The menu is rather compact, making your choice(s) relatively easy. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but the ordering process was painless, and the food came out in a timely manner. While this place is higher end than your typical fast food chain, it is still fast casual dining. They did ask how we wanted your burger cooked ("medium" vs "well"), and I thought that was a nice touch. Also, Bleeker has beer on tap and a variety of other beverage options. The burger itself was savory, and the bun less dense than I anticipated. The components are relatively simple patty(s), onion, burger sauce, and buns. You have tomato, mustard, and mayo in bottles at your table. The burger sauce is incredibly delicious. The fries are at least double fried and offer a nice crunch. Again, the bun was so airy, and the burger so simple yet delicious I could have easily eaten another patty. I should have ordered the double cheeseburger. I did like that there were wooden disposable forks available for the saucy fries. Also, the burgers and fries came in sleek little to-go boxes. Some tips: There are 3 locations in the city, so, check and see which location is closest to you. Order the House Fries. These are double fried fries smothered in their creamy burger sauce. If you order "well done," you may want to specify if you don't want any pink, as two people in our group ordered burgers "well," and there was noticeable pink in the patties. I know it might seem tacky to get hamburgers in London, but this spot came highly recommended, and now I know why. Definitely try local London foods, but if you get a craving for burgers... go here! Cheers!!

I've been a huge fan of Bleecker Street since it first opened its doors, and the quality has never wavered. It consistently delivers one of the best and most authentic burgers in London. The double cheeseburger is my go-to—perfectly seasoned and cooked to a juicy medium-rare. The place is small so you may have to wait for a seat.

I am not a big fan of burgers but my husband is so he asked me to eat here yesterday. I am pleasantly surprised cause I loved my Bacon double cheeseburger. So juicy and tasty! The Angry house fries were nice but too salty for me but I am quite sensitive with salty food. My husband really loved the fries. Service was efficient! Will come back next week to try the other burgers in the menu!

The best burger in London. Visited here for the first time 7 years ago and had the most delicious cheese burger. Returned to London last week and I had to return to Bleecker to see if it was just as good as I remembered and honestly? It was 10000x better. Such a lovely and juicy patty and a fluffy and light bun. I can't wait to return to London just to get a cheeseburger!
Bethany E — Google review
I’m the type who eats 4 burgers a week, so it’s not easy to impress me 😅🍔 After trying more than 10 burger spots in London, I can honestly say this is one of the best. The beef has a perfectly balanced flavor and the sauce is spot on. Solid 10/10. 🔥
Bassam “ — Google review
My recent visit to Bleeker Burger at Victoria was underwhelming. The overall setup is chaotic—there’s limited space to queue, use the touchscreen ordering system, or wait for takeaway orders. Indoor seating is cramped, with small tables and uncomfortable wooden chairs, and the open-plan kitchen occupies a significant portion of the already limited space. Though there is outdoor seating, it’s located on a busy street, which impacts the ambience and is very much weather-dependent. The food itself was a letdown. The “Blue Burger” was quite small, and although the meat patty was of good quality, the overall portion was unsatisfying. The bun was soft, but the burger was overly salty and average at best. Notably, chips are not included and must be ordered separately—adding about 50% more to the total cost. In summary, while the burger meat quality was decent, the cramped environment, poor seating arrangements, and underwhelming portion sizes made for a disappointing experience. I left still hungry and unimpressed.

Italian restaurant
Padella Borough Market is a modern bistro known for its short list of housemade pasta dishes and Italianate drinks. It opened in 2016 as the sister restaurant of Trullo, quickly becoming a favorite among pasta lovers and London's Italian community. The restaurant offers innovative dishes like fettuccine with mascarpone and spicy Calabrian sausage nduja, as well as comforting classics like gnocchi in nutmeg butter.
I loved Padella. It was my first time eating here, and I would definitely recommend again and again! Will definitely be returning. The food was creamy, flavoursome and probably one of the best Italian places I have visited. Also in a great location, if you want to get desserts after from near-by!

Came here for a bite to eat, first visit. Small restaurant located at the edge of borough market on borough high street. We made a reservation for two and were happy to be seated at the counter. Nice smart modern vibe to the place and great to see the chefs in action.Nice choice of dishes, obviously Italian themed. Very reasonably priced. We ordered three main dishes to share, all of them tasted gorgeous but the Pici Cacio was definitely my favourite. Good selection of drinks,we went for the rosemary lemonade which was very refreshing and a good choice on a hot day. The service was perfect, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Overall an excellent restaurant.

Loved our experience at Padella! We visited for the first time for lunch and arrived right as it opened for the day, which helped as the restaurant filled up quickly. Staff were courteous and friendly, and the kitchen was a well-oiled machine. Seated at the bar, we got a front row view of the action, which was part of the charm (highly recommend)! The pasta was well made and if you’re visiting London, you gotta check Padella out!

Overrated and mediocre pasta place. Ragu pappardelle was above average, but that’s about it. Crab tagliarini tasted mostly like seawater with lemon and chilli (Lina Stores does it better). Nduja fettuccine was okay but forgettable. Went in starving and still left unimpressed.🙂🙂

Tower Bridge provides visitors with a unique experience, offering panoramic views from its high-level walkways and access to the original lifting machinery. It stands out as the only place on the list that offers direct views over the Thames River. The moderately priced tickets provide a self-guided tour with fascinating city views, historical insights into the bridge's construction and London itself, interactive exhibitions, and demonstrations of how the bridge works. Additionally, it features a glass bridge section that creates an unusual sensation of walking on air.
Tower Bridge is absolutely stunning! One of the best spots to visit in London — the views of the River Thames are amazing. The exhibition is interesting and gives a good idea of how the bridge works. Everything was clean and well-managed. Definitely a must-visit when you’re in London!

Thoroughly enjoyed talking the self guided tour. The glass floor gives a unique view of the Thames, but can be slightly unnerving. The engine room has the two steam engines, used to power the bascules, on display. Over all, it's very good venue for money.

One of the most important attractions in this wonderful city! Especially, if you visit it at night is way more beautiful! This bridge brings its own unique touch of beauty in London! You have to visit it with no hesitation! 🌉✨

Tower Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in London and visiting it was a fantastic experience. The views from the bridge are stunning, both of the Thames and the city. Taking the Tower Bridge Exhibition tour made the visit even better, as it gave detailed insights into how the bridge was built and the fascinating mechanism behind its operation. Walking across the glass floor was a unique highlight too, giving a completely different perspective of the bridge and the river below. The site is very well maintained and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing to keep in mind is that you may need to wait in a queue for entry, and on a sunny day this can feel a bit frustrating. Still, it’s not just a landmark to admire from outside, but also an educational and memorable experience to explore from within. Definitely worth visiting.

The location is very beautiful and one of the most iconic landmark of London. You can reach here easily by Underground metro. From Big Ben Tower also it is well reachable here by foot.
Mohammad H — Google review
Walking near Tower Bridge is honestly one of the nicest things to do in London, especially if you’re trying to escape the busy streets without leaving the city. The view is unreal – you’ve got the bridge itself, which looks straight out of a postcard, the river Thames calmly flowing, and plenty of spots to just sit and chill. There’s something peaceful about hearing the water and watching the boats go by, even when there are tourists around. At sunset, the whole area lights up in warm colours and it feels kinda magical. It’s also surprisingly clean and safe, even in the evening. Loads of nice little cafes and street food stalls around if you fancy a bite, and the walk towards the south bank or down to St Katharine Docks is worth it too. You get a mix of old-school charm and modern city vibes. Would definitely recommend it for a date, a solo unwind walk, or just to take some beautiful photos. 10/10 – calming, scenic, and very London.
Monzia K — Google review
The Tower Bridge is a great stop if you're in the nearby area, and provides about 30min to 1 hour diversion. Combined with the free audio tour, great views complete with partial glass floor in one section, historic awe of the building process, and gift shop at the end - I would highly recommend if you're in the area. There are lifts for the tower, but I suggest/recommend you take the stairs getting some insight, facts and touch of history on the way up and down. There are benches to rest, toilets but no Air Con for most of it, however fans throughout provide plenty of relief - 84 degrees and it never felt sweltering inside. Learn how the bridge was designed, constructed and changes over the years - in particular the engine room videos and presentation on divers were really great. And whenever you're done walk along the Thames River path near the wharf and grab a bite to eat.

Tower Bridge is indeed an iconic and highly recommended destination for anyone visiting London. You've captured its essence perfectly! Here's a summary of why it's a must-visit, echoing your points: * Iconic Landmark: It's instantly recognizable and a symbol of London. * Ideal for Shorter Visits: As you said, it's not a full-day commitment but perfect for a few hours. * Photographer's Dream: Offers incredible opportunities for stunning photographs, especially of the bridge itself, the River Thames, and the surrounding cityscapes. * Engaging Experience: Walking across the bridge allows you to appreciate its architecture up close, enjoy the (often cold!) wind, and take in the mesmerizing views of the River Thames. * Great for All: Whether with friends or family, it offers a memorable experience. For those looking to delve deeper, the Tower Bridge Exhibition (inside the bridge itself) offers a chance to learn about its history, see the Victorian engine rooms, and experience the glass walkways for unique views. Even without entering the exhibition, a walk across and around the bridge is a highly rewarding experience.

The Tower of London is a medieval castle with a rich and bloody history, housing the Crown Jewels and iconic Beefeaters. It offers dramatic views of the Thames River and is located near Brick Lane. The luxurious Cheval Three Quays at The Tower of London provides contemporary one and two-bedroom apartments with stunning vistas of landmarks such as the Tower Bridge, The Shard, and the remains of the Roman London Wall. Guests can enjoy spacious accommodations with full-service kitchens and oversized bathrooms.
Amazing! This was one of my favorite tours while in london. We bought our tickets which cost about $48. Place was packed. There is a cafe and a small gift shop inside, bathrooms of course. I would plan on spending at least 2 hours here if not 3. And then of course there's the crown jewels that speak for themselves. So much history here and so much to see I loved everything about this!

Beautiful place with a lot to see. 8 Ravens on site. You can get close to they but they are wild and will bite. Crown Jewels, armory collection, church and more. It was not always a prison, and not just a tower. You can easily spend all day here.

You could spend a day exploring or breeze in and out in two on a quiet day. Crown Jewels were gorgeous. Walking throughbthe verybdark vaults added to the intrigue. No photos permitted. The tower was very fun if you like armour and military weapons. Lots of steps up and a turret spiral staircase to exit. I would have prefered to see recreations of how the home was setup. Lunch at the cafe was meh, but after all you are a captive audiance!

Sky Garden, also known as the Walkie Talkie due to its distinctive shape, is a must-visit destination in London. Located 43 floors above the city, this lush green space offers breathtaking 360-degree views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The garden is filled with Mediterranean and South African plants, creating a unique botanical experience high above the bustling streets. Entry is free but requires advance booking due to limited spaces.
This was a wonderful experience. Well organised. The staff are nice but direct. The line was long but went down quickly. Make sure you get a ticket beforehand (its free) and get there early within your time slot. There is a process to getting inside but it goes by quickly. You go through a metal detector for security before you go up the lift. There are bars and a restaurant when you get up there. I don't know what the price range is, as I didn't eat or drink. The views are great and you can stay up there as long as you want, from what I saw.

Great view. Honestly have never been to a place like this before and stumbled upon it trying to find a breakfast spot that’s open early. Honestly very impressive views (I spent way more time than I’d like to admit taking photos), both inside and outside the building, and delicious Eggs Benedict. Great place to walk around afterwards, and definitely a must for tourists. Make sure to reserve in advance.

I visited Sky Garden in London recently and thought it was a cool spot, especially if you're into city views. The place sits right on top of the “Walkie-Talkie” building and gives you some amazing views of London, you can see the Thames, The Shard, Tower Bridge… all of it. Entry is totally free, but you do need to book a ticket in advance. They release tickets every Monday at 10am, and they get snapped up pretty fast especially for weekends. Weekdays are a lot easier to book and way less crowded. If you go midweek, you’ll probably have a smooth, chill experience. Weekends? Totally different story. Even with a ticket, the queues can be long. And if you don’t have a ticket, be ready to wait even longer just to try your luck on walk-in entry. So yeah, weekends = chaos. The garden itself is nice, though it’s more of a well-designed indoor space with plants than an actual “garden.” Still, the views make it worth it. There’s also a bar and a couple of restaurants if you want to grab a drink or food, but it’s a bit pricey. Pro tip: Go on a weekday if you can. Book early (set a reminder for Monday 10am), and get there a little before your time slot because there’s security and sometimes a short wait for the lift.

The Sky Garden in London is one of the city’s most beautiful and relaxing attractions, offering breathtaking panoramic views from high above the bustling streets. Located atop the Walkie Talkie building, it provides an incredible vantage point where you can see landmarks like the Shard, Tower Bridge, and the Thames all at once. The space itself feels open and airy, filled with lush greenery and soft natural light that creates a calm, comfortable atmosphere—almost like a tropical escape in the sky. What makes the Sky Garden especially appealing is how effortlessly it blends nature with modern design. The plants, pathways, and seating areas invite you to linger, enjoy a drink, or simply take in the scenery. It’s free to visit with a reservation, and even during busy times, the space feels well managed and never too crowded. The café and bars offer a nice selection of snacks and cocktails, perfect for watching the sunset over London. Whether you’re a visitor exploring the city or a local looking for a peaceful retreat, the Sky Garden is a must-see destination. It’s beautiful, comfortable, and gives you one of the best—and most memorable—views in all of London.

Beautiful place and amazing weather. Nice amities, you can get some drinks whilst enjoying the view, however there are some considerations for the balcony(no selfy sticks, no food& drink, ,no climbing on the rails). For the restaurant you need to book. Waiting timesay vary depending on how big the que is. Also, very clean retrooms.
Crisan M — Google review
First and foremost know that you need to reserve an entry ticket three weeks in advance. I didn't know this but a very kind employee (who I will not call out), let me proceed. I appreciate their kindness because as a travel writer, I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It was impressive. The view of the Thames River was wonderful. I liked that there were different levels and the gardens on either side were pretty. If you get tickets go but if you don't walk 4 minutes to the Garden at 120. There was no line and I liked the view better.

This is a great place to get an amazing view of London. Highly recommended. Make sure you book. There is a bar and restaurant at the top and lots of plants! It has a lovely atmosphere and you can spend as long as you like up there.

Bowling alley
Located in London, The O2 is a renowned arena that can accommodate up to 20,000 fans and hosts top concerts and elite sporting events. Situated at the Greenwich Peninsula in North Greenwich, it also features an expansive shopping outlet mall with over 60 shops offering significant discounts on a wide range of brands. The O2 is not only known for its entertainment events but also for its diverse shopping options, making it a must-visit destination for both music enthusiasts and avid shoppers alike.
Two points: •Review if you're here to see restaurants/experiences ▪︎Review if you're here for concerts or shows 1) This place offers a great range of restaurants and the food is always fantastic wherever you go. Most restaurants you find here are unfortunately on the more expensive side. It offers interesting experiences for kids such as climbing activities (they are not free though), there's an arcade aswell and a cinema. This is a perfect place If you're looking to do birthdays. The shops are all expensive though but they are high quality shops. No shops for kids or groceries if you're looking for that. 2) If you're here for concerts or shows, the o2 shopping outlet and the outside of the building play music from the artist that is performing which really builds up a nice mood. There are billboards everywhere showing the currently performing or upcoming artist(s) so it's a great place to take pictures. There are MANY official merchandise shops inside and outside the building, and some of them open at different times, so if something gets sold out you can still try to get it later! Inside after ticket check they have multiple bars and food corners to buy something if you need to - multiple toilets, and the staff are very helpful in finding your seats before you even enter the arena. The seats are decent and comfortable- they also fold if you have to stand up to let someone through- for the pit it depends on the artist, but sometimes there are chairs and sometimes not. There is also the experience to climb the roof of the o2, but unfortunately I have no experience on it, but it does exist!

We came for the Lady Gaga concert on October 2, 2025, and were pleasantly surprised. The crowd was huge, but security and entry were very efficient. The restaurants inside were great, and staff were super helpful. Last time I saw Gaga it was at a much bigger stadium, but honestly O2 was better — from the entrance, restaurants, and show to even the toilets, everything was smoother and nicer. I was here about 5–10 years ago, and the improvements are obvious. The new security scanners are especially convenient since you don’t need to take things out of your bag or pockets. Overall, the O2 Arena is an amazing venue. Highly recommend.

We came for lady gaga. The venue is wild! Its an outlet shopping center, cinema and music venue and shopping center. Went to spoons for a quick plate of food and couple of drinks then into the event. It was well organised, the staff were efficient, loads of food and drink options when we got inside. Helpful staff to send us on our way to our seat. The viewing area is huge ( we ended up with great seats) . Lady gaga was great ( not usually a fan but I was a plus 1 for my girlfriend), the sound quality was nuts... could feel the base through my chest. Fast and efficient to get us all out too
Andrew M — Google review
Really like the concert venue. Easy to get to the venue & back as they move the crowd quickly & jubilee line very frequent after a show. Sound is pretty great & you get a great view from 410 section, if a bit far. As people had said it was steep, I was prepared but I didn’t actually think it was that bad & felt safe. Drink options are usual concert fare & prices (£9.80 for a beer). Lots of bathrooms and food / drinks options inside.
Tigershout — Google review
Great arena for concerts, probably one of my favourites in the UK. It has the feel of a football stadium, but with a smaller capacity and shorter length than a stadium, the view from almost anywhere in the O2 is a great view. Even from right at the back, up in the rafters! And the sound quality at each and every concert I have been to at the O2 is very good. Another great thing about the O2 is entering and exiting. Or, the queuing, to be more specific. I never feel like I am queuing for very long. They seem to flow at a good speed, and security checks don't take very long at all, and then it's up the escalators to the bar areas and concourse that lead all the way around to get to the numerous entrances into the arena and seating, or downstairs to the floor area. My only real complaint is the price of refreshments and food. It's nice to have a pint before rocking out, but I usually just stick to one, as they are not the cheapest. And food is a little pricey for portion sizes too. I definitely recommend eating before going into the arena, just to save some cash. Overall, a very good event arena, ideal for concerts, and very easy to make your way back to wherever your hotels or homes may be... Even if it does get a bit cramped on the buses and tube. Which reminds me... Waiting for a taxi or Uber can be a bit of a nightmare, especially if the weather is bad. So, plan ahead and use buses/tube. Some buses can be free depending on concert dates!

I had a great time at the O2 Arena for the Katy Perry concert! The show was full of energy, amazing performances, and really good vibes all around. She delivered a fantastic show that definitely made the night memorable. The only downside was the long waiting time, both getting into the venue and waiting for the concert to actually start. That part was a bit tiring. However, I have to say the crowd was handled really well, and the staff clearly did their best to keep things organised and moving as smoothly as possible. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and definitely worth all the effort in the end!

The O2 Outlet Shopping Centre is a brilliant place to shop with so many good brands offering excellent discounts and deals. The prices are very competitive, and you can often find items much cheaper than on the high street. The atmosphere is modern and vibrant, making it enjoyable to walk around and explore. There is a great variety of shops covering fashion, footwear, lifestyle, and more, so it really has something for everyone. The staff in the stores are always polite and helpful, and the overall shopping experience feels convenient and pleasant. I highly recommend visiting if you want quality brands at great prices.

Amazing venue that offers music to sport events. Best part is that is covered and warm inside and all seats are really comfy. We had the best time watching Mcfly live. Connection to the O2 are quite simple. Around and inside the 02 you will find many restaurants and places to have a bit or even dinner.

Modern European restaurant
Duck & Waffle is a renowned British and European cuisine restaurant situated on the 40th floor of London's Heron Tower. The modern space offers stunning panoramic views through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Notably, it is the highest 24-hour restaurant in London, serving breakfast, brunch, late-night dinner, midnight snacks, and cocktails.
My visit to Duck & Waffle was truly memorable, and a huge part of that was the exceptional service provided by, Adam. Being on the 40th floor offers incredible views of London, but Adam took the experience to the next level by giving me a fantastic, knowledgeable overview of the sights from our vantage point. He specifically moved me so I can have an amazing view of the Gherkin when the seating opened up! He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and clearly a star member of the team. Beyond the excellent service, the atmosphere was wonderful. The coffee was absolutely fantastic—a perfect start—and the cider was great as well. If you visit, I hope Adam takes care of you, his service is just as spectacular as the view! Highly recommend!

Duck & Waffle, Bishopsgate - A Sky-High Delight My first visit to Duck & Waffle in Bishopsgate was an absolutely lovely experience, serving as the perfect setting for a mini reunion with two friends. Setting & Atmosphere Perched on the 40th floor, the restaurant boasts absolutely incredible views. We booked and arrived around 6:00 PM in Mid September, which was perfect timing to witness a breathtaking sunset over the city. The atmosphere inside was delightful and very welcoming, with a warm buzz and a very large seating space. The journey up is an event in itself. The high-speed, glass lift offers brilliant, unforgettable views as you ascend. A word of caution: be prepared for your ears to pop due to the pressure! Make sure to take a quick video of the ascent—you won't regret it. Food & Drink The food was very good. We all had the classic Duck & Waffle, with fried duck egg, mustard maple syrup, which was a real highlight, different but tasty. The duck was very well done—crispy on the outside and nicely cooked on the inside. For dessert, we shared the Sticky Toffee Waffle, which was sweet enough and a lovely finish to the meal. Service & Practicalities The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant also provided good toilet accessibility. Conclusion Overall, it was a truly special evening out amongst three friends. The combination of fantastic food, a delightful atmosphere, and those stunning views makes Duck & Waffle a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Well, I’m not good with heights and this restaurant is a like million meters above London but I was actually loving it. The view was just awesome. Having this view whilst having your breakfast is just a very special feeling. The service was ace and the place itself is quite cool. We love it. Definitely a place to check out in the big smoke.

We had a reservation for Monday morning. We arrived on time and were greeted very nicely. A bit about the food: we ordered several different dishes. The food was quite good, though the octopus was a bit bland. Also, the hummus, in our opinion, was stale. We informed the server about this, and we didn’t hear any apology, only a question of whether we wanted a new one or to have it removed from the bill. Since we had finished eating, we chose to have it removed from the bill. A bit about the service: as I mentioned, the greeting was attentive and pleasant. However, our server did not seem suited for this job. He was not rude, but rather very rough and not skilled at communicating with customers. In our opinion, the place is overrated. The cocktail, which cost £18, was basically just a lot of ice with very little flavor. Would we come back here? No. Would we recommend it? No. There are many better places with excellent service and delicious food.

Tasty English Cuisine, crispy duck, sweet delights with nice drinks and great views from 40th floor. Private high speed lift to the restaurant. Open kitchen. floor to ceiling glass with amazing view of Gherkin next to it and distant views of Tower bridge, Tower of London, Thames and Canary wharf on a clear day. Not much expensive and is worth for the money spent.

Came here for Sunday brunch and was not disappointed! The view is good, the atmosphere vibrant, and the food absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Adam, was wonderful, warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. When I couldn’t decide what to order, he helped me choose and completely nailed it! I went for the Duck Benedict, and it was perfection. The eggs cooked just right, the duck full of flavour, and the waffle soft and beautifully modern. Everything was spot on. Would definitely return, a brilliant brunch spot with great service and even better food!

Pakistani restaurant
The Original Lahore Kebab House is a renowned Pakistani restaurant located in Whitechapel, London. Since 1972, it has been serving authentic Pakistani cuisine in a casual cafe setting, attracting a diverse crowd of locals and tourists. The restaurant is famous for its mouthwatering dishes such as dry lamb curry, spiced chicken karahi, and legendary lamb chops. Despite its unassuming exterior, the food at Lahore Kebab House has earned national food awards and international acclaim.
My second time, this time with family. We came just after the lunch rush and it was near empty on the Saturday. The food is very good authentic home style cooked. Not overly rich. Simple food. Loved the chicken and lamb. The portions were not the biggest but OK. The mango lassi was a little expensive for a jug. But even so that is a minor point. The price point is a little high given the decor. But the overall experience is very good.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a great experience. The food was delicious, with excellent quality and a wide variety of dishes. In my opinion, this is one of the best places in London for Asian food lovers, including Pakistani, Bengali, and Indian cuisine.
Zahid O — Google review
I came with a friend on their recommendation and I loved it. It's not a fancy place though and it's popular so it does get busy and a bit noisy inside. We came on a Monday evening and we were able to get a table without waiting. As I can't tolerate too much spice, I went for the safe option of a mild butter chicken and ordered a side of the rogni nan. The food came pretty quickly and also with a complimentary side salad. The butter chicken tasted delicious and the rogni nan which I'd tried for the first time was the perfect accompaniment. The bread was a little thick and buttery and fairly big so it was enough to go with the curry and I didn't feel the need for any rice on top. One thing to note is that it is a cash only establishment so do make sure you have enough cash with you. I am still thinking of that rogni nan in particular, and I would definitely like to return.
Ai — Google review
Don't let first impressions fool you at this local gem. Sure, the neighborhood isn't the most picturesque, and the interior feels like it hasn't been updated since the 1990s. But step past the dated aesthetics, and you'll discover why this place has earned its reputation as a beloved institution in the Pakistani community. The chicken tikka masala here is exceptional – rich, aromatic, and clearly made with care. Each dish arrives bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to the subcontinent. The prices are refreshingly reasonable. A few practical notes for first-time visitors: they don't serve alcohol, but the BYOB policy means you can bring your favorite beer or wine. Come prepared with cash – while they technically accept cards, the reader has a habit of being "temporarily out of order." Fortunately, there's an ATM just around the corner for those caught off guard. In short, this isn't a place you'd bring someone to impress with ambiance, but if you're seeking genuine Pakistani cuisine at honest prices, it's hard to beat. Sometimes the best food comes from the most unassuming places, and this neighborhood institution proves that point beautifully

First time to this unassuming restaurant but won’t be the last. Fantastic lamb chops, dry meat curry and butter nan. Oh and the chicken korai went down a treat as did the mango lassi. Friendly staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere. No frills but one of the best lamb meals we’ve had.
Carol G — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality from Usman/Ozzy. His patience and honesty in explaining the dishes, and even catering to our spice level, made the experience extra special. The Mutton Tikka was hands down the best I’ve had in London...sizzling, distinctive, and bursting with authentic Lahore flavour. Succulent and cooked to perfection, it transported me straight to Pakistan and was even better than Tayyabs, Needoo or any other Lahore restaurants. The Lamb Haleem was equally unforgettable ...rich, mouth-watering, and perfectly balanced in flavour without overpowering spice plus generous lamb rather than daals and flour mix. The home-made rotis, made with mixed flour, were not thick or raw...so good they facilitated taste of curries rather than fill you with thick flour! The Saag Chicken was another standout – tender, juicy chicken enveloped in aromatic, perfectly seasoned fresh saag. What I loved most was that every dish was full of flavour rather than just heat – no “bum-burning” chilli, just pure, authentic taste. For me, Lahore Kebab House is simply unbeatable for Indian and Lahori food in London. Nowhere else comes close! Don't waste money anywhere else. Just try Mutton Tikka here you'll be craving for more!

The food is always excellent here. But today it was disappointing. The kebab roll tasted like it had been reheated and the meat was hard. Then the waiter got our food wrong . But I will go back another day and try again 😁

Family run and you can tell. There is a lot of love in this restaurant and attention to detail with great food. The kitchen is brilliant!! Classic dishes are the mixed grill starter, keema potato and chicken curry. We have been going there for 30 years! Highly recommended! Service also great! Can get deservedly busy!
